You're listening to a message to go from at church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
They can not stir Wow double O seven from tiam No,
-
we're not gonna learn about James Bond today, but we're
-
gonna we're gonna look at someone from the Bible, and
-
we want to see how this someone went through the
-
journey of his life to so much shakings. But he
-
was never stirred, never stirred off course, continue on with
-
his with his journey in the Lord. Okay, now, when
-
was the last time you're had a good shake? Huh?
-
When was the last time you had a good shake?
-
Yeah?
-
Milk shake, shake, shake? Can everyone stand? Everyone stand? Yeah,
-
everyone stand, Okay for the next five seconds, let's shake.
-
Loosener of it, relax.
-
Yeah.
-
If you see your neighbor chans, shake them shake your
-
neighbor chack chack, chack, hake, wake them up. Yeah yeah, yeah,
-
all right, Okay, if you're done, Sha, take your seats.
-
Thank you so much for participating.
-
That was all.
-
See you next Sunday. No, no, no, no, no. So it
-
gives me a lot of excitement to share God's word again.
-
And uh, you know, I think as Selena preached last name.
-
If you guys hit the message. You know, we're going
-
through this whole season of speaking about revival. Yes, fantastic.
-
And the last time I shared God's word, I mentioned
-
that revival is not accident. It doesn't happen by accident.
-
There is an order to invite and to welcome revival
-
into our lives and into our church. So today we
-
will look at the Book of Joe, all right, the
-
Book of Joe. And I know when I say the
-
Book of Joke, some of us must be thinking, like, oh,
-
why why look at the Book of Joke? All right,
-
because you know it's the weekend. The last thing we
-
want to look at is at something called Joe that reminds.
-
Us of Job. Okay. It's the Book of Job, not
-
the Book of Job. Okay.
-
So we want to see how God brings us two
-
different shakings. So that's why shaken not stir. Joe went
-
through a lot of shakings through his life. If you
-
read the Book of Job, you will know you will
-
understand the story and what he has gone through. All right,
-
So it's gonna be good. Look to your neighbor and
-
say it's going to be good, all right, fantastic, Thank
-
you for affirming that. So there are two types of shaking,
-
two types of shaking. One is the shaking that builds,
-
and one is the shaking that destroyed. So the types
-
of shaking that destroy. Of course, you know, whenever I say, uh,
-
top of your mind, you're probably be thinking like earth quakeler,
-
you know, shaking destroy, destroy, destruction. Okay, So earthquakes produces
-
both horizontal and vertical forces, leading to foundation failure, structural collapse.
-
Yeah.
-
Who say you don't learn new things at your Yeah,
-
so that's the kind of shaking that destroyed. Then there's
-
another kind of shaking that we're probably all very familiar with, Okay,
-
because how many of you have experienced earth quaick before?
-
Oh Jude, all right, well really okay, more hands than
-
I anticipated.
-
Okay, But there's another time.
-
Of shaking that we're all probably more familiar with and
-
all probably have experienced before. You know, when you grab
-
a you know, bottle of soda fizzy drink, then when
-
you shake the bottle, something happens, right, yeah, let me
-
tell you what happens. The shaking disturbs the liquid. See
-
all two starts forming bubbles in the drink. And those
-
tiny bubbles as new creation sites, causing increase internal pressure
-
and the feezy messy explosion will take place. All of
-
us have experienced that before, Yes, all of our experience
-
that before. But today we're not gonna focus on the
-
shakings that destroy. We want to talk about the shakings
-
that build. We want to talk about how we can
-
prepare our hearts and our lives for revival. But one
-
thing is for sure is that all of us will
-
go through shakings. Look to your neighbor and say, you're
-
gonna go through shakings. Okay, We're gonna look at Joe
-
all right. If you can turn your bibles, there'll be
-
great joke chapter one, verse one to five. I don't
-
think I have that on the slide joke chapter one,
-
verse one to five.
-
If your dare, say yes. If you're not there saying.
-
Hold on, okay ah wait ah, wait ah wait all right,
-
everyone there say yes, okay, okay ou I'll go Joe
-
and his family in Ooz, or some people say, oh, okay.
-
There was a man in the land of Ooz whose
-
name was Joe. And that man was blameless and upright,
-
one who feared God and shun evil and seven sons
-
and three daughters were born to him. Also, his possessions
-
were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yokes
-
of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, haven't count the male yet,
-
a female ready of one hundred, and a very large household.
-
So that this man was the greatest of all the
-
people of the east. And his sons would go and
-
feast in their houses each on his appointed day, and
-
would send and invite their three sisters to eat and
-
drink with them. So it was when the days of
-
feasting had run their course that Joe would send and
-
sanctify them, and he would write early in the morning
-
of a burnt offerings according to the number of them,
-
all for jobs. Say, it may be that my sons
-
have seen and curse God in their hearts. Thus Joke
-
did regularly. So we understand a bit more about Joe.
-
We understand the man that he is. He's a man
-
that is.
-
Rich.
-
This guy is loaded loaded, all right. You know when
-
I when I when I did a quick like, try
-
and see how rich this guy is. Right, I love
-
the answer that came. You know when I when I
-
like did a quick Google. It's like the Jeff Besios
-
of the East. I'm like, whoa, this guy is rich man? Okay,
-
and he also had a huge family and a lot
-
of live stock. What is not written here is that
-
there will probably be a lot of hand you know,
-
back then they call it servants to take care of
-
the children, to take care of the livestock. Yeah, haven
-
mentioned grandchildren yet? Na, These have only mentioned children only. Okay,
-
so we know that huge family everyone. Okay, so far
-
we understand a bit about joke. So first point that
-
we're gonna touch on the shakings that build our lives.
-
First one is that remove the gaps. The type of
-
shakings we go through in our lives. The first type
-
of shaking, the shakings that remove the gaps. How many
-
of you bake a cake before?
-
Okay?
-
All right, not time for confessions, Selena big a cake before?
-
Yeah?
-
So you know, after you mix everything, you know, what
-
do you do? You give you a bit of shake,
-
You give you a bit of tech. All right?
-
How many of you mixed concrete before? Ah?
-
More hands than I anticipated. Okay, So after you mix everything,
-
what do you do? You give you a bit of tap,
-
You give you a bit of shake. Why so that
-
it sets so that it settles. What else, one word?
-
Just now for.
-
The air bubbles to come up. All right, I think
-
it's going to be on the next slide, so we
-
can see the difference between who say you don't learn
-
new things in church?
-
All right? So on the left is.
-
What happens to concrete that did not go through the shaking,
-
did not go through the tap, the gaps was not removed,
-
the air bubbles remain trapped. And on the right is
-
the one that sets properly. Okay, let's learn it. Let's
-
try and see what God is gonna teach us today.
-
So the shaking causes the air bubbles to rise and escape,
-
causing the gaps around to feel properly. It bonds and
-
it sets and it settles. And for concrete, you know,
-
because there's rebars, you know, those iron rots, so that
-
it will it will stick together with the iron rods
-
and it will be strong. And then for cake, so
-
that it does not collapse. Yeah everyone, okay, so far.
-
So many times we complain that when we go through
-
different shakings of our lives, right, God causes to go
-
through different text things, challenges, situations, trials, shakings. But we're
-
very quick to not take it in a positive way.
-
We're quick to look at God and say, God, why
-
why am I going to challenges? Why me?
-
Why me?
-
But I think the question we have to ask ourselves
-
this morning is that if we want revival, and if
-
we want to crow, and if we want our hearts
-
and our lives to settle nicely and properly, we need
-
to allow some of these gaps to be filled up.
-
How the gaps get filled up?
-
Shakings, shakings, Yeah, you know, God does a little tech
-
in our lives so that those air bubbles can come up.
-
Don't be too quick to complain, don't be too quick
-
to run away. You know, sometimes God brings us to
-
different situations. I don't want, I don't know. Want two
-
difficult to challenging change ur two difficult to challenging change company?
-
Here this marriage two difficult too challenging change marriage. Hold,
-
We're not like that. Okay, those are other church buying X.
-
But in X Pang, I think everyone is like challenge,
-
bring it on, man, no problem, trials, Yes, no worries. God,
-
I'm ready for the gaps to be filled you know
-
that that kind of attitude. Yeah, So I think we
-
need to watch ourselves the next time we go through
-
different shakings of our lives, because you know why, when
-
the shakings happen, the air bubbles rise and it bops.
-
So can you imagine, God, I don't know why you
-
bring this kind of shake into me, but chick chick, chick,
-
chick chick. Before you realize that chick chick chick, anger
-
rises up, anger is gone.
-
Chick chick. Shake, shake, shake, shack shake. Oh, you got
-
a lot of problem. You greed.
-
You know, greed, Ah, the greed rises up from your life.
-
All the different things that we find challenging. Unforgiveness, I
-
can't forgive Lord. Then God brings us to different shakings
-
them through going through those shakings, you realize that, actually,
-
you know what, forgiving is not that hard, because when
-
we go through tougher situations, we realize that that other
-
situations may not be as difficult as we thought.
-
You know, you'll know what I.
-
Mean, because when all were going through UPSR, you thought
-
it's like the biggest and worst thing in the world,
-
right until you go to SPM and then you're like,
-
u PSI is nothing, man, You'll know.
-
What I mean.
-
We always think it's the biggest thing until God brings
-
us through another shaking. Then we realize, actually are it's
-
not so bad, the problem is not so big. And
-
as God brings us to shaking, the different things go up,
-
it pops, allowing room for God to feel. Because what's
-
the purpose of those air bubbles to go up? Not
-
just so that it sets, not just so that it settles,
-
but so that there small room for God to feel.
-
You know what I mean.
-
Yeah, if you don't understand what I mean, go to
-
Joho Barrow, right, You go to Joho Baru right. Yeah,
-
you'll see people at petrol station doing this. You know
-
what I mean, Joho Barrow right next to Singapore. You know,
-
Malaysians are laughing because they know what I'm talking about.
-
They go there at the petrol station checking your car.
-
You know why they shake that car? You know why
-
they shake that car so that they can feel more.
-
You know why you got is shake in your life
-
so that he can feel more, so that he can
-
feel more into your life. People, shake car, God shake
-
your life. Watch what God is feeling you with? Amen? Amen?
-
So God is going to cause you to go through
-
different shakings. Lets look at Joke chapter one, verse twenty two.
-
The shakings are good for you. Thanks Matthias. Thank you
-
Matthias for doing the slightest this morning.
-
Joke. Chapter one, verse twenty two.
-
Is it there? No, it's not there. It's okay, you know,
-
it's just like, oh.
-
Is there? All right? Joe?
-
Chapter one, verse twenty two. No, it's still not there.
-
Never mind, everyone got your bibles? What does Joe chapter one,
-
verse twenty two say in all these Joe did not
-
see nor charge God with wrong?
-
Oh you know what talk about wrong?
-
I forgot to send your great things from our senior
-
minister pas Passendra, who's currently ministering in bin Tulu. Yeah,
-
send their regards to you please. You know, if you
-
are connected with them on social media, to them, you
-
say hi, and you really enjoyed church today?
-
All right? All right? Jobe chatter one, verse twenty two.
-
How does a guy, how does a guy with all
-
the air gaps in his life remove feel by God
-
every single day?
-
Look like?
-
Sound like Job chapter one twenty two? What happened in
-
Job chatter one twenty two? You have to look back
-
at the previous verses. Let me tell you what the
-
previous verses say. Okay, the previous verses. In verse thirteen, okay,
-
he says, now there was a day when his sons
-
and daughters were eating and drinking wine in the oldest
-
brother's house. A messenger came to joke and say, the
-
oxen were plowing and donkeys feeling beside them, when the
-
Sabians raided them, took them away. Indeed have killed the
-
servants with the age of the sword, and I alone
-
have escaped to tell you. So, if you read on
-
all the way until verse twenty one, you will find
-
out that CHOP's children all ten gone, Job's live stock
-
all in the thousands gone. And after all that that
-
has happened, what does he say in verse twenty one, naked?
-
I came from my mother's womb. Naked shall I return there?
-
The Lord gave, the Lord has taken away. Blessed is
-
the name of the Lord. And in verse twenty two,
-
what we want to pay attention to is that in
-
all this, in all the shaking, in all the trials
-
and challenges, Joe did not sin nor charge God with wrong.
-
How is our attitude when we go through the shakings
-
of our lives, when God puts us through different challenges
-
and situations, are we quick to complain or can we
-
have a testimony like in verse twenty two that says
-
Joe did not sin nor charge God with wrong? Eddie
-
did not sin nor charge God with wrong? You guys understand,
-
pick a name, put it there. Can we have that
-
kind of testimony?
-
All right?
-
Because when we go through different challenges and instability, you know,
-
like earthquake, right, because there's so much instability, you know,
-
things are falling around, things are changing.
-
What do we do?
-
Do we go first to God or do we go
-
to oh church, gipt or what do I do in
-
this kind of situation? Do we go to curus, do
-
we go to friends? Or do we go to God? Okay,
-
So the first point is the shakings that we go
-
through in our lives. It removes the gaps. It removes
-
the gaps so that God can fill us with more.
-
Everyone's still okay. The shakings are good. The shakings are
-
for growth. The second reason for God brings us to
-
different shakings is that God wants to determine what is
-
inside of us. Oh, I got some many illustration to
-
determine what's inside. So when you share what comes out sound,
-
what did team say?
-
Coffee?
-
It's coffee beans. He knows it straight away. You know,
-
got sound coffee beans? He recognizes us. Talk about this one.
-
Coffee toffee? What sounds that ice?
-
She recognized the ce You know straight away when God
-
brings us to different shakings, right, God wants to determine
-
what's inside of us. Okay, let's try and understand anyone. Okay,
-
you don't know what you're made off until you're given
-
the chance to prove what you're made of. You don't
-
know what you are made off until you're given the
-
chance or the opportunity to prove what you are made of.
-
Anyone can see their patient. I have a patient man.
-
Until you're given the chance to prove your patient, anyone
-
can say, hey, I'm the most courageous guy in this group. Men,
-
Until you're given the chance to prove whether you're courageous
-
or not, you'll know what I mean. Anyone can say
-
until they're given the chance to prove it. Joe, Chapter one,
-
verse eight to twelve. I think this is the one.
-
Then the Lord say to Satan, have you con see
-
my servant, Jacob? Have you considered my servant? Joke, how
-
many of you would like to be in a position
-
right that God will recommend you to Satan. Wow, I'm
-
like God, Please donor I love you. I'll serve you
-
don't do this. Have you considered my servant Joe. There
-
is none like him on the earth?
-
Wow?
-
Someone he you know, he's praising you in front of Sathan,
-
a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and
-
shuns evil. So Satan answered the Lord and said, does
-
Joe fear God for nothing? Have you not made a
-
hitch around him and around his household, and around all
-
that he has on his side? On every side you
-
have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions
-
have increased in the land. But now stretch out your
-
hand touch all that he has, and he will surely
-
curse you to your face. And the Lord say, to
-
behold all that he has is in your power. Wow,
-
You'll want the kind of recommendation from God and not
-
how you're like God, I love you. You know, if
-
you can use anything, Lord, you can use me. You know,
-
we sing those kind of song, we pray those kind
-
of prayer. And then God says to Satan, look all
-
that he has, it's in your power. Do what you
-
want with John is a blast, blameless and upright man. Wow,
-
but do not lay a hand on his person and
-
do whatever you want. So the following verse after that
-
we will read is that all his children were taken away,
-
taken away like you know, and alive, and then all
-
his possessions gone. That's the kind of shaking that Joe
-
went through.
-
All right.
-
Let's look at another portion of scripture joke, Chapter two,
-
verse three to ten. Yeah, so it's nicer u, you know,
-
like when someone you know recommends you. You know, I
-
can't you mention your boss recommend like, hey, every shure,
-
he's a great guy. Anything you need, he can sort
-
it up for you. Oh I want nice?
-
Nice? Right?
-
Nice feels good? Yes, But do we want this kind
-
of recommendation?
-
Now?
-
This is a chapter two right, Chapter two, verse three,
-
the Lord say to Satan again, have you considered my
-
seven joke that there is none like him on the earth?
-
Wow?
-
Two rounds you know of recommendation. Yeah, sometimes we get
-
one recommendation. We're like, you want recommend one time? This
-
on God recommend you two times, two times? But what
-
happens this time? Jobe is still blameless, still upright, you know,
-
after the first round of shaking. Right, God still says
-
that about Joe when we go through the shakings of
-
our lives, how we got into produce us to Satan,
-
he didn't do so well in the first round, but
-
you can try again, okay, But second round still says
-
the same thing. One who fears God and shuns evil,
-
and still he holds fast to his integrity, although you
-
incited me against him, to destroy him without cause. So
-
Satan answered the Lord, skin for skin, yes, all that
-
a man has, he will sure he will give for
-
his life. But stretch out your hand now touch his bone,
-
and it's fast, and he will surely curse you to
-
your face. Then the Lord say to Satan, behold, he's
-
in your hand, but spare his life. How many of
-
you won this kind of testimony? If you raise your hand,
-
pray for me. Also, I also don't have to say,
-
you know I'm like God. Please I will serve you.
-
Don't recommend me to Satan. Don't all right, don't offer
-
this kind of challenge. Friends, When the next time we
-
go through trials and challenges and testings, can I encourage
-
you with this? Reminded that we just read in chapter
-
one and chapter two of joke is that, first of all,
-
I mean this is a sight understanding, you know, as
-
I was preparing this message, is that the enemy cannot
-
do what he wants unless God allows it. So the
-
next time we go through some challenges, right, you have
-
to understand is that because God allowed it. God only
-
gave one clause, don't touch his life, spare his life
-
a week cler But of course I'm not saying that
-
every bad thing that happened in your life is because
-
God allows it. Some of it is because of the
-
consequences of your actions and decisions, like okay, I mean
-
if you need to reap repent line. Okay, I'm just
-
saying that because Joe is up there, the first line
-
is that he's blameless and upright, So unless you have
-
that criteria then okay, all right, but you'll catch what
-
I'm saying. Nothing better can happen to your life unless
-
God allows it. So the question before we complain the
-
next time is God, what can I learn from this?
-
Not God? Why? Why? Mean always me?
-
What can I learn from this shaking that I'm going through?
-
Eron?
-
All right, God allows this to happen to joke, and
-
God will allow shakings to happen in your life. You
-
know why, friends, because he knows you can handle it.
-
How we know that because it's written in joke in
-
Joke chapter one. In Job chapter two, right, the introduction
-
of Joke is the same blameless, upright man, one who
-
fears God, chance, evil, none like him on the earth.
-
You know how God knows Joke is like that. Not
-
because overnight. You know, Joe got how many children?
-
Ten?
-
So means right Job would have at least been obedient
-
to God for ten years, because ten children don't just
-
pop upmer Job had to trust God for his children,
-
the safety of his children because if we read earlier
-
in Job chapter one that he offered offerings for all
-
of his children, which was his custom. He's done it
-
every morning because oh never know when my son had
-
seen against God, I must offer so for ten at
-
least ten years that we know Joe, so somehow he
-
built his wealth, you know, Jeff Bezos of the East.
-
You know, build wealth is not overnight, Maa. It takes time.
-
So means Job has gone through a journey of life.
-
That God knows Job's character, Job's integrit d So for
-
us we have to see that God allows it to
-
happen because he knows Joe. So for us, God knows us.
-
That's why he allows different things to go through your life.
-
He created you, he knows what you can handle. He
-
created you, he knows what. So when I read this
-
verse right, you know what I was reminded of. I
-
was reminded of those promotional videos back by those CEOs
-
who sell bulletproof vests, you know, like, oh, you want
-
to see how good my bulletproof vest is. Then the
-
CEO himself will wear the bulletproof vest, right, and then
-
hence him a gun.
-
Here you go, and then it's like.
-
Yeah, see, no bullet went through, you know, because he's
-
so confident of his creation. And that's the same thing
-
same way God describes Joe. God has a confidence on Joe.
-
The shakings will come, but God knows confidently how much
-
you can handle, what you can take, and if not.
-
In First Corinthians, chapter ten, verse thirteen, if you can
-
quickly look there, First Quarringtines chapter ten, verse thirteen, First Quarantents,
-
chapter ten, verse thirteen says, no temptation has overtaken you
-
accept such as is common to men. But God is
-
faithful who will not allow you to be tempted beyond
-
what you are able, but with the temptation will also
-
make the way of escape that you may be able
-
to bury it. So God created you. He knows what
-
you can handle. That's why he can say what he
-
says about job, and that's why he can say what
-
he says about you. And so whatever shakings we go
-
through in our lives, God knows how much we can handle,
-
and He will always be there with us throughout the way.
-
So shaking right must have sound, One shaking must have
-
a result. One sound will come out. Then, you know.
-
I went to team I shaped immediately. He knew coffee bean.
-
Why it's familiar with it. He's dealt with it almost
-
every single day. So we just came bat from a
-
company trip. We went to uh we went to Hong Kong.
-
We to the company, We went to Hong Kong, had
-
a great time. So coincidentally, right in this trip, there
-
was someone you our team that has never flown before,
-
never has been on the flight before. So of course
-
we're very curious, like, let's see how this guy you
-
know reacts, you know, see whether he'll do any funny things.
-
And us we're so bad, you know, uh.
-
And then and then of course after the flight, you know,
-
we we we went like, you know, uh, Eddie, you
-
know his name, his name is Eddie, Like, hey Eddie,
-
not this Eddie.
-
Hey Eddie, how this Eddie? Flight too many times a day? Uh?
-
Hey Eddie? How was how's the flight? Your first time? Right?
-
The first time? Who? Uh?
-
Scared of scared? They're like, oh, which part was scary?
-
The turbulans Tabulians that time, like oh why why? Of
-
course the shicking. I don't know what's going on, man,
-
but I think it's the clubs right there, like, yep,
-
it's the clubs. It's the clubs. Then they're like, oh,
-
how was the rest of the flight. Oh the lending,
-
the lending, And I'm like, why what's on the lending?
-
First time flying? I remember, first time flying. I thought
-
we're going to crash, men, because the whole thing went
-
like that, you know, I thought I was going to crash,
-
he said, But the chili went, hey, okay, first time flying.
-
So you can imagine, you know, the experience that he had.
-
So when I hear Eddie's experience of flying, okay, and
-
then I look at my three children, Okay, thank you
-
for the introduction, Edie, I have three kids, Noah, Aila
-
and Maya. Okay, you hear them before you see them.
-
That's what I always say when I look at my
-
three children in the flight right, normal turbulence, you know,
-
lending Hey, so Daddy after the just now you know nothing?
-
You know why? You know why that's a difference. You
-
know why that's a difference. You know the sound that
-
my children make, they make no sound. They were at peace.
-
You don't know why.
-
What's the difference because my children have gone through it
-
with me multiple times, multiple times. That's why, whether good
-
or bad, the sound is peace and trusts Eddie never
-
experienced before. So we crush it because he has never
-
experienced it before. But Joke has gone through the journey
-
of life with God. That's why in Joke chapter one,
-
verse twenty two, you won't curse God because God saw
-
him through. If we so, the next time you go
-
through a shaking, what's the sound that's gonna come out?
-
What's the sound that's gonna come out? Is your sound
-
gonna be different from your neighbor? Is your sound gonna
-
be different from your past? Let's think about it, everyone, Okay,
-
what sound is coming out because for the last few weeks,
-
right globally, all of us hurd the same sound over
-
and over again. Oil crisis, oil crisis, straight of hormones,
-
oil crisis. We've been hearing it over and over again
-
for the last few weeks. And we heard the love advices. Guys,
-
stock up on your rise price is going up. Hey, guys,
-
if you have empty Tonga empty barrels, are feeling love
-
Ron ninety five, it's gonna go out. Ron ninety seven,
-
it's gonna go up. Diesel, it's gonna go stock up,
-
stock up, stock up.
-
A lot of advisers, a lot of advices.
-
If you have holidays, plan cancel it, don't go for holiday, if.
-
You've got money to save.
-
Say, how many have you been hearing advices for the
-
last few weeks?
-
So many advices? You know?
-
So much sound? All these, sir, reminds me of six
-
years ago the whole world also went through something. How
-
many of you remember why? It was phobe So we
-
went through the COVID pandemic. What were the advisers, hey, guys,
-
stock up our price all gonna go out of a
-
toilet paper gonna run out? Oh no, I us the
-
buye toilet paper, buy toilet paper. We heard all the
-
same story, guys, hand sanitizer, hand sanitizer.
-
Wash, everything wash.
-
Every day we hit the same advices, the the shakings
-
will always come. What's the sound that's gonna come out?
-
There's gonna be another strait of horm moos coming. You know,
-
there's gonna be another pandemic coming, you know, hopefully not allah,
-
but there's gonna be so many more shakings that we're
-
gonna go through. And that's gonna come in our lives.
-
But what's the sound that's gonna come up from us?
-
What's the sound?
-
Is it fear? Stock up? Stock up? Stuck up? Bye
-
bye bye, keep keep kip? Or is it hey?
-
If God brought me through COVID, I can continue to
-
trust in him. If God can help me through this
-
whole state of strait of hormones, God is going to
-
watch over me. You guys catch I'm saying. Job has
-
seen God move in his life time after time. That's why,
-
after his children were taken away, lives stop taken away,
-
he can still say God is faithful. I still love him.
-
I will not curse God. How is our sound when
-
we go through shakings? How is our sound. Let's be
-
a bit watchful.
-
Amen.
-
Of course, we don't want to sound like everyone else.
-
You know, though everyone else sounds the same during straight
-
of hormones and COVID, everyone sounds the same, same advice,
-
same warnings, Everyone gives the same sound. What is your sound?
-
Look at your neighbor and say, what is your sound?
-
Come on, guys, let's be a bit watchful. More shakings
-
are coming, More shakings are coming. What's the sound that's
-
gonna come out? Faith or fear? Praise or paralysis? Worship
-
or whoe is me?
-
Ship?
-
Watch out the shakings we cannot control, but the sound
-
that comes out we can. Shaking is out of our control,
-
but the sound that comes out we can. Amen. Eron, Okay,
-
So are you going through some shakings? Maybe some of
-
you are sitting here, you know, listening to this message
-
even during the time of praise and worship. Maybe you're
-
distracted because maybe you are going through some shaking in
-
your life right now.
-
I don't know. God knows.
-
Maybe you're going through some shacking in your career, in
-
your family. I'm not sure, but God is sure. I
-
can't tell you what's gonna happen.
-
Tomorrow. But I know who holds tomorrow.
-
So you could be sitting here and you could probably
-
not be listening to everything I'm saying. But at least please,
-
we can't control the shakings, we can control the sound.
-
Are you gonna praise God? Or are you gonna be
-
paralyzed in fear, in doubt, in distrust, Because as we
-
go through the shakings, God wants to draw something out
-
from you as well the sound that comes up. God
-
wants to minister to other people around you as well, know,
-
through the sound that comes out. Amen, everyone, Okay, we're
-
gonna close sooner every day. Okay, all right, what a
-
short message. Wow, so happy?
-
But yeah, I mean I I.
-
I whatever situation you're going through, you know, whatever shakings
-
that God is allowing you to journey in right now.
-
If God is if God has brought through all these
-
you know, figures in the Bible through the most difficult
-
times of their lives, He's able to do it for you,
-
He's able to do it for me.
-
Amen.
-
Yeah, So don't don't be afraid of the shakings. There's
-
a reason for the shakings. There's a reason for it.
-
God wants to hear the sound that comes out. God
-
wants to draw something up from you.
-
Amen.
-
And God wants all the gaps to come out, all
-
the gaps, you know, all the air gaps that should
-
not be their anger and forgiveness. Doubt that he rise up, chick, chick,
-
shake nice and let everything set and settle nicely.
-
Amen.
-
Okay, last point, last point, We're gonna look at Hebrews,
-
chapter twelve, verse twenty six to twenty seven. He Bruised
-
Chapter twelve, verse twenty six two seven. So the third
-
point is that as we go through the different shakings
-
of our lives. Okay, God wants to reduce.
-
All the gaps.
-
God wants to determine the sound that comes up from you.
-
But God also wants to see what remains through all
-
the shakings. See what Let's see what God's words say.
-
He Bruised, Chapter twelve, verse twenty six to twenty seven.
-
Is it there when God spoke from Mount Sinai his
-
voice shoot the earth? But now he makes another promise? Oh, okay,
-
God makes another promise. And God's promises are okay, two
-
of you say yes and amen. God's promises are oh,
-
but the one the promises that I'm like, huh really
-
are don't promise this are But God makes another promise,
-
you know, once again I will shake not only the earth,
-
but the heavens also. This means that all of creation
-
will be shaken and remove. All of creation will be
-
shaken and remove. Not some of creation, all of creation
-
will be shaken and removed, so that what only unshakable
-
things will remain, only unshakable things were remain. Now have
-
you seen those cartoon characters? Are you know, we grow
-
up watching cartoon. Have you seen those cartoon characters? Are
-
where we hold where the character who the cartoon fellow
-
upside down and then starts shaking. Yeah, and then all
-
the different things start falling out thing dung dm dung
-
dm dm. You know, all the things start falling out.
-
Yeah.
-
And after that, of course, whatever that remains was what
-
that the fellow wants, you know, or the last thing
-
that comes out is usually what the fellow wants.
-
Okay, I think this that kind of shaking when I
-
read it.
-
I don't know why I thought of the cartoon, but
-
this is the kind of shaking that is different from
-
the past. Why because last time the shaking was only earth,
-
but this one is earth and heavens also, So we
-
really read from here that this coming shaking, this is
-
a future. This is God promising you are I promise you.
-
I will shake the earth and the heavens. It's what
-
God is promising us. It's going to be more intense,
-
more intense. So the author of Hebrews here uses the
-
historical earthquake at Sinai, all right, because everyone remembers the
-
historical earthquake to warn the readers that the shaking will
-
come again, but in a far more significant manner, because
-
it's also the heavens, and to remind us that the
-
only thing left standing are the unshakable things. If God
-
is shaking you, okay that the cartoon characters, what will
-
remain in your life?
-
In my life? What will remain? Shake?
-
Shake, earthly possessions, bring bunk house or falling out? Tring
-
shake shake, shack, fame, popularity, shakes awful? When God is
-
shaking you and I, what is going to fall out?
-
What's going to remain? Because it's what remains that matters? Amen,
-
what remains that matters? Can I tell you all the
-
story as we come to a close, okay, okay, extreme
-
thing most we can come out Radio Okay.
-
Let me tell you all story.
-
In nineteen twenty three, there was an earthquake in Tokyo.
-
In nineteen twenty three, there was an earthquake in Tokyo, Okay.
-
It's called the Great Canto earthquake. Great Canto Earthquake. That's
-
a picture of what happened after the earthquake nineteen twenty three.
-
One hundred thousand deaths, widespread fire, urban collapse. That's nineteen
-
twenty three. We're in twenty twenty six. Many years have passed, guys,
-
many years. How has this earthquake shaped the modern Tokyo.
-
Tokyo now has wider roads and better city layout. Many
-
of Tokyo's main avenues, you know, main city area, were
-
intentionally rebuilt to prevent fire spread. Reinforced concrete became a
-
standard in all of their structures. Annual disaster preparedness became
-
a culture. So Japan now holds nationwide disaster drills every
-
September because of this event, nineteen twenty three Great Canto Earthquake.
-
It's a shaking that happened in Tokyo that changed history
-
forever for them. Tokyo today is one of the most
-
earthquake prepared Mega cities in the world. Because of what
-
happened in nineteen twenty three, Tokyo still experiences earthquakes often.
-
Do you all know that? Still very often? Yeah, their
-
experiences earthquake. You know when it was the most recent
-
earthquake Tokyo experience April first, That was just eighteen days ago.
-
That's how often it gets. And it was a five
-
point zero magnitude earthquake. Soon not a small one, it's
-
quite a big one. But did you hear of any casualty?
-
Did you hear of any structural losses? When was the
-
last time Tokyo had an earthquake that suffered major structural loss?
-
Any guests major structural loss? When was the last time earthquake?
-
Tokyo experienced major structural loss from an earthquake nineteen twenty
-
three because of that shaking that changed its history forever. Now, Friends,
-
as we're close, God brings us through the shakings of
-
our lives, not to fail us, not to fail us.
-
He wants to draw something out of you, He wants
-
to draw something out of me. God wants to strengthen
-
us and prepare us for revival. How can we welcome
-
revival in our lives and in our city and in
-
our country.
-
If there are different air.
-
Pockets in us that still undealt with, still hidden't if
-
we continue on what's going to happen. The concrete will
-
break because of the air pockets. The kick will crumble
-
because of the air pocket. Our lives will not be
-
strong because of these air pockets. In a book of Joke,
-
God doesn't test Joke because he's curious about Job's character.
-
God really knows Job is upright. He tests shops so
-
that Job can discover the death of his own faith.
-
God allowed Job to go through all these shakings so
-
the Joke can discover the death of its own faith
-
and grow into a version of himself that could never
-
have existed in a life of comfort and ease.
-
You know what I mean.
-
When we go through life comfortably and ease, right, we're
-
never ready for challenges.
-
You know.
-
All these different things are never drawn out or dealt with,
-
and we think everything is okay. But the next time
-
the shakings come in our lives, Let's ask God, God,
-
what can I learn from this? Why are you trying
-
to draw up from me? What do I need to
-
deal with? I want revival in my city, in my family,
-
in my life. I want revival. Deal with this because
-
I don't want my life to crumble either like the.
-
Concrete or the cake.
-
You know when God brought the Israelites into the wilderness
-
for forty years instead of eleven days.
-
Now, y'all know that story, right.
-
God brought the Israelites to the wilderness forty years forty years.
-
God's intention is not to fail the Israelites. You know.
-
God wants them to go where the Promised Land. But
-
what is God trying to do? God wants them God
-
already managed to get them out of Egypt. God wants
-
them to go through the windness so that Egypt can
-
get out of them.
-
You know what I mean.
-
So the shakings that we go through. God doesn't want
-
to fail us. God wants us to go to the
-
Promised Land. But God just wants all these things that
-
need to be dealt with to come out. Chick chick
-
chick shack, anger, hit chick shake, shake, and forgiveness h
-
Chi chi chick shake pride. I don't want to serve
-
you God, My schedule.
-
Is too full.
-
Come on, friends, He created you for greater things. He
-
knows what you can handle. So don't ever say that
-
you can't take the shaking. Don't ever say you're not
-
ready for all that God has for you. He's shaking
-
you not to fail you. He's shaking you so that
-
you don't suffer future structural losses.
-
In your life.
-
Friends, Tokyo is Tokyo today because of what happened in
-
the Tokyo of the past in nineteen twenty three. Is
-
that going to be another earthquake in Tokyo?
-
Yes?
-
I can confidently say that, and not a prophet. Will
-
Tokyo be okay?
-
Yes?
-
I can confidently say that because I can see over
-
the hundreds of years nothing has happened to Tokyo. How
-
about our lives? Is that going to be another shaking
-
in our lives?
-
Yes? Will you be okay? Will I be okay?
-
