You're listening to a message to go from acts Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Kingdom minded, all right, that's what we're gonna touch on
-
this Sunday, twelve plus one call Values. So just just
-
a quick recap, all right, everyone, okay, everyone doing all right?
-
So just a quick recap.
-
We're going through these at our services and also at
-
our homes and uh I think when pasta met first
-
started kick started the twelve plus one call Values series,
-
he mentioned that vision and mission tell us where we
-
are going and why, but values are the fuel in
-
the vehicle. There are what gets us there, especially in
-
the face of opposition, testing and trials.
-
You'll remember that.
-
Yeah, So the first Sunday we touched on the topic
-
of spirit. Second Christ Centered, our CPC shared on Christ
-
Centered last Sunday, and then this morning we're gonna touch
-
on Kingdom minded.
-
Kingdom minded.
-
Now, Jesus started his ministry by saying, repent for the
-
Kingdom of God is at hand Matthew Chapter four, verse seventeen.
-
He constantly preached about the Kingdom of God throughout his ministry,
-
constantly at the start and all the way to the
-
end of his ministry. Kingdom of God, Kingdom of God,
-
Kingdom of God, Kingdom of God. And someone has calculated
-
that Jesus has preached or talked about the Kingdom of
-
God roughly about eighty two hundred times in his three
-
years of ministry. Now, when I have something important to
-
tell my children, Noah, ailah and maya. When I have
-
something important to tell them, okay, and like what Selena say,
-
you hear them before you see them, all right, that's
-
my children. When I have something important to them, I
-
repeat it a few times. Yes, yeah, I repeat it
-
a few times. And even no matter how important it is,
-
when I repeat it to them, it is not eighty
-
to one hundred times. Okay, it's probably like brush your teeth,
-
rush your teeth, brush your teeth, maybe three four times? Lack,
-
all right, don't forget the flash. Don't forget the flash.
-
Have you flashed?
-
All right? Three four times?
-
But if someone talks about something for eighty two hundred times,
-
I think we need to pay a bit more attention.
-
I think maybe there's something that we need to look into.
-
I think that's something that we need to maybe try
-
and see what Jesus is trying to tell us. Someone
-
say kingdom minded. Okay, let's try that again. Someone say
-
kingdom minded? So what does kingdom minded mean to you?
-
Let's say some answers. What does kN the mind I
-
mean to you? No one says, I don't know anyone
-
else kingdom minded. I don't know that you. Well, that's
-
what we're think for you to tell us that, huh.
-
Anyone want to try what does kingdom minded me to?
-
What this feels like?
-
Homes? No? No, no, not my home's not my homes uh.
-
U no no, no, no kidding, I'm kidding. Okay, okay, anyone,
-
what does kingdom minded mean to you? Okay, I will
-
look the other way, so y'all don't feel so judge anyone?
-
What love, God, love neighbor? Okay, okay, okay, all right,
-
all right.
-
So to help us understand, right, this core value of
-
kingdom minded, that's a good answer, by the way. To
-
help us understand, we can see the core values as
-
like a yard state, you know, something to help measure
-
how we're doing. If there's a kingdom, there's a king.
-
If there's a king, there are rules, and there are rules.
-
Rules are like a ruler to gauge it's from our
-
home rulers. Ruler helps us gauge and see how we're doing.
-
I mean, it's this kind of ruler, right, I mean
-
it is like a measuring tapler. But it's these kind
-
of rulers, right that help us make sure, like, hey,
-
did we miss any measurement? Are we on the right track?
-
Did we miss out any detail? When you're assembling something
-
or when you're building something, if it's one centimeter.
-
It's off. You know, you know what I mean.
-
Yeah, So if it's a call values, let's look at
-
the core value as like a ruler, something to gauge,
-
something to.
-
Measure how we're doing.
-
All right, So three thoughts, three thoughts, someone say, three
-
three thoughts to help us understand a bit more about
-
kingdom minded?
-
Okay?
-
I put it as mmcm and km in of course
-
we're using ruler, right, help us understand a bit that mm,
-
cm and km mm stands for millimeter, your fast your past?
-
How about cm and km ki law meter? Okay, But
-
we're gonna tweak it a bit, all right, because we're
-
gonna learn about twelve plus one called valuma. Yeah, we
-
want to see how we can apply this in our
-
daily living. So MM stands for myopic minded, myopic minded? Wow,
-
someone say myopic minded? This is like those tongue twisters,
-
right that? Okay, the meaning the meaning of myopic minded.
-
I mean maybe some of you already know. Oh I
-
know what mariopic means. All right, so clever, yeah, But
-
for the benefit all of us, myopic means near sighted,
-
short sighted, unable to see distant objects clearly in a
-
medical condition is an eye condition where light focuses slightly
-
in the front of the retina rather than directly on it,
-
so it's just at the front but not directly on
-
the retina. Causes close objects to appear perfectly, but distant
-
objects to appear blurry. All right, So figuratively, you know,
-
when we say someone is myopig minded, no one here.
-
I'm not talking about anyone here.
-
Myopig minded person is a person that lacks foresight. Lacks foresight,
-
can't see a hit, can't plan at unable to see
-
the bigger picture, only thinking of immediate gains. Now, the
-
question for all of us this morning is a we
-
myopic minded? M m are we myopic minded? Many of
-
us live lives that sometimes it's based on immediate satisfaction
-
or immediate gratification.
-
We've heard of the term, you know, like you know,
-
like when you make decisions.
-
Guys, yolo la you know you only live once.
-
But I did research, but people don't use yolo these days.
-
All right.
-
I found out I'm old people Now people now say
-
T I S T P. Right, no either, young people,
-
so shit here that okay? They say do it for
-
the plot, all right. They don't say haha, now she's
-
not pay don't judge me. So people don't say yolo. No,
-
we will say, hey, do it for the plot. Do
-
it for the plot, all right, So you don't don't
-
think so hot, just do it. You want to buy
-
that thousand dollars T shirt, twenty thousand dollars handbageriler.
-
Life is short, life is short. Do it for the plot.
-
My opig minded people prioritize immediate comfort over future outcomes.
-
They don't care about future tomorrow, next month, next year.
-
They're thinking about now now.
-
Okay, So there are three things that we need to
-
look at, you know, for my opig minded. If any
-
of this resonate with us them, we probably have to
-
just do a hat check, do a heart check. Spending
-
versus saving, Okay, MYOPI minded people they prioritize three things,
-
spending versus saving because they're thinking about spending.
-
Do you know how the trend of hey later? Whoa?
-
How many here don't use pay later? Wow? Wow? Pray
-
for different ones?
-
Yeah, like you know the rise of pay later. A
-
lot more people using pay later and tole mea, what
-
else are all those kind of stuff like huh as
-
what what as?
-
Pay later? Who is that shoppy? Then you've got the
-
grand pay later? So many? You know?
-
Do you know that even I've heard these years ago,
-
but I know that it's a very common trend now
-
that people even go on holidays on installments.
-
Yeah.
-
People go, yeah, like oh I want to go holiday
-
in Melbourne. Oh but so expensively? You know the flight ticket,
-
I pretty installment law the flight ticket. I'm like flight
-
ticket installment.
-
Mm hmm.
-
Now I want to enjoy now. I'm not thinking about saving.
-
I'm thinking about spending. I'm not thinking about later. I'm
-
thinking about now. I want to enjoy now, my opig minded.
-
You know, now now everything else is blurrima. But here
-
you know here they're looking here now sealed is nour huh?
-
Holidays now yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yes, doper mean versus discipline?
-
Feel good better than it's good. Feel good, it's better
-
than it's good. Hey, the handbag is very expensive, you know, yeah,
-
but it feels good. You know, feels good that people
-
look at me. It feels good that we know when
-
I holdly everyone knows what handbag amusing. Hey that holiday
-
sounds very expensive, you know, hey, yeah, but it feels good,
-
you know, to put on Instagram and let everyone say, hey,
-
Australia shrimp on the barbee.
-
Yeah, no one says that.
-
Okay, okay, doper mean versus discipline, Convenience versus obedience, Sunday war,
-
it's my only free day. Let's go to churchyard. Come on,
-
let me chew lie. Convenience sleep li I saver. So
-
many people serve radio anyway, Thank you shooter stepping up espresso,
-
Praise the Lord, More people step up. Convenience versus obedience?
-
Oh what does obedience say? Obedience say I need to sacrifice.
-
It's a bit more troublesome. It demands more energy, more effort.
-
Yeah, but.
-
Convenience or who thinks about my convenience? Who thinks about
-
my convenience? My opig minded me me who thinks about me?
-
Me thinks about me? My opig minded everyone, Okay, Romans,
-
Chapter eight, verse five. Those who live according to the flesh.
-
This is a preview to the next point as well.
-
Those who live according to the flesh have their mindset
-
on what the flesh desires. They're not thinking myney other thing.
-
They're thinking about what the flesh desires on me, what
-
can fix my gratification now. They're not thinking about consequences.
-
They're not thinking about what's going to happen to me later.
-
They're not gonna thinking about all the bad things later on.
-
They thinking about now now. And that's why myopic minded
-
people need accountability. They need discipleship because my opig minded
-
people can't see the issues and problems, you know, They're like, hey,
-
everything looks okay with why ah, nothing wrong with me.
-
That's why myopic minded people they need accountability. They need
-
someone to speak into their lives and into their situation.
-
That's why, if you think about it right, corporations don't
-
audit their own accounts because they can be myopic minded,
-
you know what I mean. If a corporation all this
-
is his its own account, they'll be like, hey, how
-
are we doing this here. Actually okay, hey, but we're
-
not making as much as ayah, I'm more company not
-
doing well.
-
So it's okay, we're doing all right. We're doing all right.
-
But if you get an auditor to come in to
-
be like, hey, guys, you are bleeding funds everywhere, you
-
need to do something about it. That's why corporations cannot
-
audit their own accounts. It's even illegal.
-
You know.
-
You know why, because you can be myo minded. You
-
can bluff or so, you can bluff your way so
-
when you look at your own life and there's no accountability,
-
no one disciple, shit, I'm okay, I'm okay, I'm okay.
-
We can bluff ourselves to think we're okay. That's why
-
doctors so you're not supposed to diagnose yourself, you know,
-
you know what I mean, just a coffer, It's okayla,
-
just a cough. I'm a doctor, but no, why you
-
need another doctor to be like, hey, bro, your cough
-
is a symptom of something that's going on. Your cough
-
is not what we should tackle. What's causing the cough
-
is what we should tackle. My your pick minded? Anyone
-
doing okay? Mm myopic minded. Myopic minded magnifies problems. Kingdom
-
minded magnifies God's purpose. My Opic minded magnifies problems. That's
-
why they want it now. They magnify the problem. I
-
may not be able to afford it next time I
-
might as enjoy it now why I want to wait?
-
They magnify the problem so much I enjoy it now,
-
open mean, open mean versus discipline anyone doing?
-
Okay?
-
So from mm right mm, we moved to CM. CM
-
stands for carnally minded, carnally minded. Someone say, currently minded,
-
my opic minded, carnally minded, Joel, what are you talking about.
-
We're gonna talk about kingdom minded soon. Okay, we're gonna
-
talk about kingdom minded Luke, Chapter twelve, verse fifteen. And
-
he said to them, take heat, and beware of convaciousness,
-
for one's life does not consist in the abundance.
-
Of the things, of the things, of the things.
-
Your life does not consist in the abundance of the
-
things you possess.
-
Hmmm.
-
Some of us need to hear this this morning. I
-
probably need to hear this morning as well. It's all
-
about the flesh. M m me, me, me, me, me,
-
my my, my mind CM oh, flash, flash, flash, the
-
things of the world. Okay, let's look at Matthew chapter thirteen,
-
verse eighteen to twenty two. We'll have activ flesh that up.
-
Matthew Chapter thirteen, verse eighteen to two twenty two. It's okay
-
if we look into some scripture. Yeah, come to church.
-
Let's read some scripture. Everyone doing, okay, Matthew Chapter thirteen,
-
verse eighteen, two twenty two. This is the terrible of
-
the sower. Okay, So in verse eighteen, it starts, therefore,
-
are you guys there all right? Therefore here the parable
-
of the sower. When anyone hears the word of the
-
kingdom and does not understand it, then the wicked one
-
comes snatches away what was sown in his heart.
-
This is he who receives seed by the wayside.
-
But he who received the seed on stony places, this
-
is he who hears the word and immediately receives it
-
with joy. Yet he has no root in himself. But
-
and the also only for a while, For when tribulation
-
or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles
-
verse twenty two. Now he who receives seat among the thorns.
-
Among the thorns is he who hears the word, and
-
and what.
-
Cares of this world?
-
And the seedfulness off de seedfulness off riches. Wow, what
-
of God? It's written many many, many many years ago.
-
You know, the same thing that deceives people still deceives
-
people back then, still deceives people today. Riches, riches chalk
-
the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
-
Mm hmm.
-
The problem with the kind of mind is not that
-
it doesn't hear the word. Let's look at this parable again.
-
He hears the word. You know, the seat was received.
-
The seed is the word. The problem with the kind
-
of mind is not that the person doesn't he the word.
-
We're all hearing the word.
-
Yes.
-
The problem with the kind of mind is not that
-
the person doesn't come to church. We're all like church. Ah,
-
people go to church. Everyone goes to church. Now, the
-
person with the counter mind that's may not even have
-
problems reading the word. It doesn't say here that this
-
person have a problem serving God coming to church.
-
Here's the word, reads the word.
-
But the problem with the calenter mind is that this
-
person cares about the world too much, too much. The
-
deceit of the riches overwhelms this person too much. You
-
hear the word you come to church, but something else
-
is more too much. Having riches is not a senior
-
I mean, first of all, let me qua qualify that
-
having reaches not seener.
-
I like riches.
-
Who don't like reaches, raise out your hand, give me
-
yours reach is nice, you know, huh. You get to
-
enjoy some of the comforts in life, you know, don't
-
need to worry about paying bills, you know, and stuff like that. Yeah,
-
riches is nice. The problem is when riches have you.
-
The problem is not us having reaches. The problem is
-
riches having us. That's when the priority gets wrong. That's
-
when the flesh takes over. Everyone's still doing okay. When
-
the things of the flesh become the sole measure of
-
our worth haha. Identity, then we're in trouble because our
-
identity and worth and value comes from.
-
God and God alone.
-
Because some of us, right, we feel that our work,
-
our identity is in the car we drive, in the
-
house we live in, in the address that we're in.
-
How much you earn.
-
Some some of us have our identities, and that not
-
all of y'all are you guys are respiritual, very good people, huh,
-
But some of us do. And that's the danger, because
-
what if one day touch would you lose it all?
-
Then how your identity gonner, You're not. Our identity must
-
be in the Lord, in the Lord. The kurrnel of
-
the flesh is obsessed with all these kinds of questions,
-
you know. Now, let me tell you a story. There
-
was this American, any American nowmths my apologists, There was
-
once this American, this long time ago. At one point
-
in time, this one American he owned and control ninety
-
percent of US oil refining.
-
He is so loaded.
-
He's so loaded, right that his money created things like
-
JP Morgan Chase Bank. That's how much money he has.
-
And at the peak of this americans career, his personal
-
fortune was two percent of the entire US GDP. One person,
-
his wealth is two percent of the entire US GDP.
-
Loaded or not? Reachi or not? Reach on comfortable, not,
-
I think comfortable. I think comfortable. When he was interviewed
-
by reporters, how much more money is enough? You know what,
-
his answer was, just a little bit more the flesh
-
the carnal mind, just a little bit more. I wish
-
that can be switched around, right for a kingdom minded
-
person right. And if someone to ask, like, hey, when
-
will you stop serving just a little bit more? When
-
will you stop preaching about God? Just a little bit more?
-
Just one more so, just one more so, just one
-
more so, if we ain't gonna stop in writing people
-
to church, that just one more chair, one more chair
-
needs to be filled, just one more, just one more.
-
This man, this one person, owns so much, yet he's
-
still empty to answer like that, that's the kernel mind,
-
that's the flesh. Because the flesh keeps thinking about the
-
next deal, promotion, climbing the corporate letter because I want
-
you at the top, right, The flesh will just say more,
-
no more. The flesh will never say I think you're done, la,
-
I think you reached the peak already. No, no, no, no.
-
The flesh always and small. That's the lie of the enemy. Yeah,
-
and I pray that this morning, that all of us,
-
when we have kingdom mindedness, that when God asks, hey, when, when,
-
when where's the limit?
-
Got one more?
-
One more, one more, one more day, got one more day,
-
one more soul, God, one more invitation. God, I'm not done,
-
Please don't be done with me. The carnel mind, all right,
-
watch out for the carnel mind.
-
Okay, are you won doing all right? Yeah?
-
Eternity gets replaced by prosperity. Eternity gets replaced by prosperity.
-
The myopic mind can see far. Okay. The myopic mind
-
can't see far. Me me, me, me, me.
-
Everything else is a blur. No, myopic ma. Everything else
-
is a blur. I can only see me. Then the
-
kernel mind, which is a bit further. The kind of
-
mind can see far to a certain distance, but it's
-
focused on the wrong things. So you can see, but
-
you're seeing the wrong things. You can see, but we're
-
seeing the wrong things. Anyone doing okay? So when we
-
look back at Matthew Chapter thirteen, verse twenty two, we
-
will remember that the kind of mind is the type
-
of person that is so full of the world that
-
there's little room left for the kingdom because of the thongs.
-
You know, Chuck, we're halfway marked. We're in a halfway
-
mark of twenty twenty six. Maybe it's time to do
-
some reflection. Are we fruitful? Are we doing okay? Because
-
when we look back at verse twenty two, maybe actually
-
we can. When we look back at verse twenty two,
-
you see it up there now?
-
He who receives seat among the thorns.
-
Is he who hears the word, and the cares of
-
this world and the deceitfulness of riches the word choke
-
the word, and he becomes So maybe the next time, right,
-
we're not feeling fruitful in our lives. We're not saying
-
fruits with our labor, we're not seeing fruits on our
-
mini street. Maybe it's time to read back in verse
-
twenty two again. Are we allowing the cast of the
-
world to choke us? Then we become unfruitful because there's
-
a direct connection here. You want to be fruitful. Stop
-
caring about the world. You want to be fruitful. Don't
-
let the deceit of the enemy choke you and stop
-
you everyone, Okay, amen, But that's good news. Someone say
-
good news. So we have MM, we have CM, and
-
then we have now guess what KM is. Oh, you
-
guys are one hundred marks for your one hundred marks.
-
KM stands au kingdom minded, kingdom minder. And for this
-
we look at this man called Joseph. Wow, how many
-
of you know Joseph from the Bible? Yeah, Joseph. We
-
look at this man called Joseph kingdom minded. Wow, what
-
was Joseph a man that has kingdom mindedness. Let's find out.
-
Let's find out. We want to know his story. His
-
story goes from Genesis chapter thirty seven to Genesis chapter fifty.
-
But because I.
-
Want all of us to have a good lunch, we
-
want to go from Genesis thirty seven to fifty.
-
I can say on you're but please read it.
-
Please read. It's very important. Okay, all right, now, Kingdom
-
minded Joseph. Let's let's let's see how well we know Joseph.
-
Well do we know Joseph? Tell me some things about
-
Joseph got thrown into the pit?
-
What else beautiful? Did someone Tuni? Yeah yeah, Tunia? No,
-
Court of Many Colors? Yeah? So thank you? Noah, okay,
-
anyone else? Thank you?
-
Ex teachers? Yeah? Anyone else? What else about Joseph? Huh dreamer?
-
What else? Wow? All this Sunday school ALM nights? All right?
-
Any anyone else Joseph Prime Minister of Egypt? Yeah? What else?
-
One more?
-
Ran away from temptations? Okay, all right. Joseph also is
-
a man that had many brothers, many brothers. He's also
-
his father's favorite child. Yeah, how many of you? No,
-
I'm not gonna ask someone, Uh so, how do we
-
identify someone that's kingdom mindedness? How do we identify I'm
-
glad you asked, Thank you. A kingdom minded person is
-
a person that's faithful. It's a person that's faithful, not
-
just in church, not just among Christians, not when my
-
schedule opens up, Oh when when i'm when it's convenient
-
for me. Oh, convenience versus obedience. Kingdom minded person is
-
faithful everywhere. We don't represent God only certain hours of
-
the day.
-
You know. We don't clock in when God tells us
-
to do something. No, No, what I mean.
-
We don't have a tucked up like, Hey, I need
-
you to speak to the friend right now. Give her
-
a call God, I'm off duty God.
-
Hello.
-
No, kingdom minded person is faithful all the time, all
-
the time. Let's see how Joseph was in Genesis chapter
-
thirty nine, verse two to three. I probably need XTV
-
help as well. Genesis chapter thirty nine, verse two to three.
-
If XTIV is not there, we can flip it ourselves.
-
Genesis chapter thirty nine, verse two to three. This is
-
about Joseph. Yeah, okay, the Lord was with Joseph, and
-
he was a successful man.
-
He was a successful man.
-
Okay, Now at this point, right when the verse says
-
that Joseph is a successful man, where was he?
-
Do you all know? Huh?
-
He was a slave. He was a slave. Have you
-
ever heard a slave being described as successful? Huh? Please,
-
these are my slaves, you can see.
-
These are very successful slaves. Hello. Never you know?
-
But right when you read scripture, the Lord was with Joseph, well,
-
praise the Lord.
-
And Joseph was a successful man.
-
He was in the house of his master, the Egyptian,
-
and his master saw that the Lord was with him,
-
or a second timer, the Lord was with him, and
-
the Lord made all he did prosper in his hand.
-
So what does that show us? Number one, even as
-
a slave, he is successful. But ah, when you think
-
about it, right, let's apply some logic here. When you're
-
a slave and you're successful, what does that mean? What
-
does that mean? You are a hard working slave. You
-
probably obey everything your master tells you to do. You
-
probably go beyond what is required of you. Then only
-
you cause success. Uma, if you're a slave and you
-
don't do anything, would you cause successful?
-
No?
-
Oh no, you won't. But we called the fuller successful
-
fuller sorry, Arnold. When you call Joseph's successful slave, it
-
means that, hey, the guy showed up. The guy is
-
probably so slaved that more all the other slaves successful slave.
-
And if you read on, the master saw that the
-
law was him, and the Lord made.
-
All he did to prosper.
-
All he did to prosper means Joseph did a lot
-
enough to show that everything he did prosper. If he's
-
a slave that don't do anything, how can we see
-
that the thing prosper? Hey, you're red prosperous in doing nothing.
-
No impossible. So it means what we can see here
-
is that even while Joseph was a slave, he was successful.
-
The Lord prospered the works of his hands.
-
Joseph was faithful where he is now we bring it
-
to home. How about us, when we are in situations
-
that is not so pleasant? Are we still faithful? Are
-
we like a Joseph like, oh, I'm my father's favorite son,
-
or look at my you know, coat of many colors.
-
I got dreams, you know, one day all of you
-
will bow down to me, all this kind of stuff,
-
you know, and then suddenly he got thrown to the pit.
-
Any normal person will be like Oh yeah, Lord forgot me.
-
I reala give up in life. Let me post this
-
on threats.
-
What a miserable day? Huh, correct on.
-
That's what normal people will do. But what about a
-
kingdom minded person. How does a kingdom minded person respond?
-
Even when he's a slave, he's still successful, he's still
-
prospered in the work of his hands.
-
We only see these kind of things right when you're
-
not a slave, you know.
-
But he's a slave and he's still Like from here,
-
we can see Joseph was myopic minded because if he
-
was only thinking about me, me, how I'm feeling right now? Wow,
-
I'm in the pit man. I mean, I'm slave, you know,
-
I'm bound. I have a master. I have to listen
-
to everything he says. I don't have my own rights.
-
If he's myopic minded, he'll be miserable because he can't
-
see beyond. You can only see me, me, me, my
-
my mind. Oh woe is me? My life is horrible?
-
No more, hopeler. I'm not saying that as believers right,
-
as kingdom minded people, we sadly got no emotions, you know,
-
I'm not saying that. At the end of this service, right, Lord,
-
please give us all kingdom mindedness, and sadly we've got
-
no emotions even when we're true tough times, tough times
-
no effect on me. Like, no, I'm not saying that
-
we got no emotions. I'm just saying that we can
-
break through those emotions because kingdom minded people respond different lay.
-
Kingdom minded people see things differently. You know how I
-
can see this because when people see Joseph in a pit,
-
God can switch it around from pit to tip.
-
Because that's where Joseph.
-
Ended up, at the tip of Egypt, at the tip
-
of government. We're so obsessed with the pit and we're
-
being miserable, so my opic, so carnal. If we put
-
on the kingdom mindedness, God will switch the tip to
-
a pit. He can do it for Joseph. He can
-
do it for you. He can do it for me. Amen,
-
are you guys listening?
-
He can.
-
God can carry us to a thought. And that's where
-
Joseph ultimately ends up. Someone here said prime Minister. Joseph
-
was the prime minister from the pit all the way
-
to the tape. Kingdom minded people don't give up just
-
because they're in the pit. King the minded people also
-
put their trust in God. That's how they remain faithful.
-
How we know Joseph put his trust in the Lord?
-
When did Joseph received his dream when he was a
-
teenager young man? Do you know when he ultimately saw
-
his dreams being fulfilled? You know how many years? You
-
know how many years? Twenty two years, twenty two years
-
God gave the dream, twenty two years saw the dream
-
come to pass. How many of us are patient like that?
-
How many of us put our trust in the Lord
-
like that? That's why you can't be myopic if you're
-
kingdom minded. That's what you can be kind of minded
-
when you're kingdom minded, that's what When you're kingdom minded,
-
you see far, you see eternity. That's why time doesn't matter,
-
because you put your trust in God. When God say
-
he's gonna answer your prayer, he's gonna fulfill your dream,
-
He's gonna answer all the goal that he plays in
-
your life.
-
Should time matter? No? Why?
-
Because your eyes is fixed on him? Five years, ten years,
-
twenty years, it will be fulfilled. How does Joseph keep going?
-
How does Joseph keep patient with twenty two years? Because
-
he doesn't just sit down waiting for his dreams to
-
be fulfilled her faithful. He was faithful. He didn't just
-
think about me. He didn't just think about Caronel, the
-
things of the flesh. He's focused on the King them everyone. Okay, now, guys,
-
if anyone's sitting here, you have dreams that God has
-
placed in your heart. Maybe when you were young, someone
-
prayed over you and say that, Hey, one day you're
-
gonna be a preacher. Hey, one day you're gonna lead
-
your own cell group. Hey, one day you're going to
-
make such an impact in the nation. Don't look down
-
at those things, you know, don't look down at those things.
-
Those things can come to pass. Keep holding on to it.
-
If he can take twenty two years for Joseph, I
-
don't know how many years's gonna take for you. But
-
he will come to pass. He will come to pass
-
for myself. When I was a kid, I was a
-
young man, probably around Noah's age. I was playing in
-
my father's office. You know, Sally, I remember this story.
-
I was playing my father's office, Okay, and then Sally,
-
one of my father's friend, came to the office to
-
say a hi, lie. I guess you know, but he
-
was also a postman. I don't think he was a postman.
-
He works in post Malaysia. So then so then after that,
-
that was my first time meeting him. Okay, I still remember.
-
It was my first time meeting him. And then he goes, hey, Lloyd,
-
your sona They're like yeah, my dad like yeah, my son,
-
say hi uncle, Hi uncle. And then he's like you
-
look at me, huge guy, look at me. What's your name?
-
Say?
-
My name is Joel, Joel. It's a very nice name.
-
One day, you're gonna do amazing things for God. I
-
was sitting there, I'm like, whatever, don't I did not register,
-
you know. But funnily right, every every other year that passed, right,
-
I suddenly will remember this uncle telling me that. But
-
I just put the dreamler I didn't like. Okay, God,
-
you send a man to declare.
-
To my life.
-
I will do amazing things for you. I will wait
-
for the day to come. No, keep serving la, keep
-
showing up, keep being faithful, Stop being my OPI or colonel.
-
Start having kingdom minded us? What dream has got placed
-
in your heart? Friends this morning? What goals have got
-
placed in you? Don't let it die? Believe in it,
-
claim it all right? Everyone doing?
-
Okay? Amen?
-
So Kingdom minded people don't respawn like the rest of
-
the world. How do we know that? Because when Joseph
-
was from the pit to the prison to the palace,
-
his focus was on the Lord, His focus was on
-
the lot. He never stopped serving. He never allowed his
-
situation or the people around him to affect him. He
-
kept going, that's why, right, and that's why right. You know,
-
while preparing this message, right, I realized our kingdom minded
-
people are different. You know how you're different. Think about
-
the Royal family. Think about the royal family. They're like us.
-
You know, they're humans, you know, like you put them,
-
they bleed. I'm not asking you to do that, all right,
-
they have bleed those the same color and not like
-
they'll tell you, no, what's a rat?
-
Don't try.
-
But our royal family and us are saying, humans like us.
-
But ah, you see the way they carry themselves, right,
-
it's different.
-
One.
-
They got vibes on you know, they aura aurah. You
-
know you see that head Hello, Hello, hello autumn automatic
-
you bow? You know, yeah, suddenly rare in your family.
-
Right? They are different. You know why?
-
They're raised differently. They're brought up differently. They are taught
-
to think differently. They are taught to present themselves differently.
-
They are taught to see things differently, and I registering
-
something in you. And I'm not saying that they are
-
taught to see things differently that they go around like,
-
oh you hasn't I'm out the Royal family. No, it's no, no, no, no,
-
no no. They're taught to behave differently. That's why they
-
are not like, they're not like me. You know, they
-
are you know, even when they eat also all hour,
-
you know when they eat also like, oh, let me
-
use the third fot from the right, you know, the
-
kind of thing. Yeah, I don't know. I like, what's
-
the difference? Spoon spoon high? But you get what I mean.
-
Royal family is different. They're humans like you and I,
-
but they're different because they are raised differently, see things differently,
-
taught to think differently, taught to present themselves differently. Now
-
we are also royal family, we are part of the
-
Kingdom of God, we are under a king. We are
-
also taught to think differently, see things differently, present ourselves differently.
-
So when the Royal family people, right, you know, do
-
you think they go through stress and pressure? I'm sure
-
they do they're humans, man, do you think they go
-
through peer pressure and stuff like, sure, go on, but
-
they don't allow that to affect them different.
-
One, no know? Hm hmm. We're also kingdom people, ma,
-
we're also royal people.
-
Ma. Yeah, we're also raised to see things differently. So
-
for us, when the world goes to stress and problems
-
and situations and.
-
Like, oh die, I don't know how to solve this, we.
-
Are taught to respond differently, think differently. Hey, one, die on,
-
It's okay, Everything'll be all right. Hey, why why you
-
talk like that? One anything?
-
Just pray? What would Jesus do? Royal family? You and
-
I friends? Hm? Hm? Oh you got bills to pay?
-
You got your in debt? Oh?
-
I also actually I also got bills. How many of
-
you here don't bills?
-
Pray for me? Really?
-
I also got bills. But we're taught to respond differently.
-
Everyone also got bills, but we're taught to respond differently.
-
We're talked to like, bill shouldn't stop me from serving,
-
Bills shouldn't taught me stop me from living, Bills shouldn't
-
stop me from trusting God. Bills shouldn't stop me full stop.
-
But some of us sometimes bills that stop freezes. As
-
you know, Hm, we are taught to think differently.
-
I know.
-
I'm of the Kingdom of God, so I know my
-
bills can be sorted because I have a king. My
-
king can pay and my king can settle the bill. Yeah,
-
got problems, got situations? Yeah, my king can help me
-
solving everyone doing Okay? When the colonel Mine wrestles with
-
the worries of the flesh, career, relationships, checkless, check list,
-
Oh wish country to visit this year? You know, put
-
on kingdom, mine trust God. Ask yourselves, whether in the
-
bott room, in your home, in the classroom, how does
-
a kingdom minded person respond? Because a kingdom minded person
-
responds differently.
-
Amen.
-
That's why whenever wherever Joseph was in the pit with
-
forty fast wife, in prison or palace, he remained kingdom minded.
-
He remained kingdom minded.
-
He's in that situation, he's in the pit, but he
-
doesn't behave like he's in the pit.
-
You get what I mean. He's a slave.
-
There a other snakes with him, but he doesn't behave
-
You know, he was also in prison.
-
I think with a baker. Yeah, but because.
-
But he doesn't he kingdom minded people responds differently, thinks differently,
-
sees differently. Soever, where's God placing you today? Where is
-
God placing you? Don't behave like everyone else? In MM,
-
the vision is too small. I only see what's in
-
front of me MM, what's in front of me by
-
my myopigh and everything else is blurry. I can't see far.
-
Then in CM. In CM this goes to CM, I
-
can see I'm saying things. Maybe I'm not supposed to
-
be focusing on. That's currently my buying KM. You know,
-
have you tried seeing something one km away? It's like
-
if it's someone's face, you can't see the details, but
-
you can see that it's a figure there. And I
-
think that sometimes God tells us to like stop focusing
-
on the MM and the CM and start having and
-
eternity mindset, you know, see beyond your limitations, see beyond
-
your selves, your comfort, and see what the Kingdom sees.
-
See how God wants you to see. And we can
-
see the way God sees friends. When we can see
-
the way God sees, our perspective shift. And once our
-
perspective shift, you and I know what kingdom do be for.
-
Because the M and CM are not thinking about the kingdom.
-
But once you have kingdom mindedness, once your kingdom mindedness,
-
you will know who's kingdom you're living for.
