But there is something even deeper. We believe that prayer

is what powers us. Prayer is what power us.

Difference between believing in prayer and living a prayer powered life.

But why after I used few hours? Cannot use really?

But then I know electricity will power my phone, but

I just don't want to judge that because some sols

So it doesn't make sense, right, And the phone can

only works if we need to charge it. And in

the same way, think of ourself as the phone.

God created every one of us here with a purpose

to be his agents of change.

Okay.

Regardless where he places you, God created you with a

purpose to be the agents of change and to fulfill

what He has caused us to do. Okay, Whether you

like it or not, all of us has a commandment

that God has given to us to fulfill his purpose. So,

just like the phone cannot function without electricity, we cannot

live our live the life God designed for us apart

from him. Meaning we cannot live the life God has

designed from us if let's say, we are not being

powered by him, okay, And how can we be powered

by him? How can we be connected to him? It

is true prayer, okay, And that is how we can

make ourself to leave according to His purpose, which is

true prayer.

a lot of time we think prayer is just you know,

So prayer, if God gave that allows us to stay

connected to him. Remember that prayer is a gift from

God to allow us to stay connected with him. So

we mentioned earlier in the few previous core value that

this twelve plus one core value came from the book

of X. Okay, And when we mentioned the Book of X,

we always remember about the Upper Room experience in X

chapter two, right, so we know when the Holy Spirit came.

You know, it falls on the people.

People start speaking in terms, people start praying in their

own languages, and all the power of the Holy Spirit move.

Now do you know that what happened prior to X

chapter two? Of course the easy s answer everybody say

prior to X chapter though there is X chapter one.

chapter one, you will realize something that the people have

done before X chapter two. And what it is. Let's

read X chapter one, verse twelve to forty. Okay, So

eat salad every day, Drink water every day, no sugar,

no salt, no oil.

Do you think you can remain clean bill of health

just by doing that?

Maybe? Maybe not.

So what we need to do is that not wait

until the doctors say that one year later. Wha, Why

but you praying every single day giving thanks to God

for the clean bill of health, and continue to ask

God to cover you, to protect you, to build your body,

So remember prayer is a certain point to something greater,

something that God.

Intends to do. Amen.

So our God is a prayer answering God, and prayer

is one of his greatest gifts to all of us

because through it we can continue be plug onto Him.

And the Scripture taught us to uphold everything to God

in prayer.

Okay, including this is what I always tell the young kids,

including when you're mummy, bring you go shopping. You cannot

find car park, you just pray, God, please give me

your request be made known to God. And the peace

prayer and supplication.

So remember that's too big a prayer or too small

a prayer that you cannot bring it to God. So

some reading about prayer, okay, And I asked this question,

what is prayer? So I went into strong concordance, and

then I go and find the meaning, and the meanings.

I thought that it what tells me the meaning that

prayer is talking to God, asking God. But what caught

my attention is this It described it as supplication and worship.

We teach the children prayer is talking to God. But

when I look at the dictionary, right, it's not just

talking to God. It's worshiping him. Prayer is worshiping him.

To put it into layment terms, Prayer is acknowledged who

God is. Acknowledge that he is almighty, he is all powerful,

he is all all knowing, He is ever present, and

spending time talking with him and adoring him. It's all

about him, adoration. Okay, it's not so much about der

heavenly Father. You know today, I just want to tell

you I need this, I need this, I need this,

I need this, I need this, And you've forgotten who

God is. Prayer is coming into his present, acknowledging who

he is. So always remember that when we acknowledge who

he is, we know that we are now plugging ourselves

onto his great power. And when we plug ourselves to

his great power, we know that his power will flow

into us and his power will grand us the strength,

just like how the electricity gave our phone the energy okay,

the power. That is how God's you know, presence will

feel us and grand us the power. So remember that

without the connection with our Lord, our God, we will

eventually become very tired. We will become weary, we will

become dreamed. And that is what we always like to say.

We are burnout. When we are connected to God, we

will not burnout, but we will burned up for the Lord.

So you know when I read this, right, connecting to

God give us the power.

And then this.

Imagination came to my mind, like how extroverted people they

like to be among people. So all my extra watar

friends always say this one. You know, when I be

among people, right, I get very charged up on you crazy,

you know, because when I be among people, my energy

go down. Okay, but that is how the extrovatared people are.

They charge their energy by being among people. So when

we are being in the presence of God, that is

how we are being charged up so that we can

do more for God. All right, So remember this prayer

is our God given charging pot. Okay, prayer is our

God given charging pot, the gift that connects us to Him.

So that is t tap into the sauce. We need

to tap into the sauce so that we can receive

the power. And okay, what is end No faking the charge. Okay,

you cannot say go around say that, Oh I chuged

my phone ready yesterday, I chuged my phone ready. Okay,

now my phone is full of power. And then after

There are two things we need to be very careful about.

Number one, be careful not to casually say to anyone

I will pray for you. Don't casually say that, because

you know prayer actually save life or not. You don't

go around and say that I will keep you in prayer.

But actually, after you say that I will keep you

in prayer, you turn your body. You've forgotten what you

told your friend already, okay, so don't casually say that

when you say I will pray for you, really pray

for that person. I was reminded about this statement saying

that you know, don't simply prom me someone that you

will pray for them, because you will be held accountable.

You know when I heard this right house, like wow,

I will be held accountable, not by your friendner, you

will be held accountable by the Lord. So be careful

not to simply say that I will pray for you

just casually like that, just just because you want to

make your friend happy. No, if you really cannot pray,

it's okay on nobody will blame you, But don't simply

say that. And another thing, this is something that all

all of us, including myself used to say what I

have prayed about it, So be careful also not to

casually say that I have prayed about it, especially when

you make major decisions in your life. So if you

are really making a major decision in your life, you

really need to get down on your knees and pray.

Not just one day, not just five minutes, but every

single day.

You need to.

Pray, supplicate, bring your petition unto the Lord.

And you really need to check back.

If you say that you hear it from God, check

back with the word of God, because whatever you hear

from God, it will never contradict with the Word of God.

So remember not to casually say that I prayed about it,

thinking that by just adding this statement into your sentence

will make you holier, more spiritual. No, don't, okay, don't

go through the motion. Okay, don't go through just because,

oh maybe if I tell Selena I've prayed about it,

then she would agree better. No, don't, because prayer is

not just going through the motion. There is power in prayer,

really one, There is power in prayer. And when we

really spend time in prayer, the genuine prayer will change

prayed about it.

That is connection.

People can tell one through your lifestyle, through your speech,

through your action. So remember that the integrity of prayer.

Don't just simply say so. Real prayer, like real charge

to our phone, is seen how we leave, and it

cannot be faked by words. Okay, remember that. Okay, So

that is end. Okay, no faking the charge. So let's

spend time to pray. Even if you say that, you know,

I cannot spend not praying one hour a day, just

like the pastest, I also cannot pray for one hour, Okay,

I break down my prayer one morning, afternoon at night

Habit or lifestyle I have is that every time I

enter into my car, I will pray for protection since

the first day I got my car. Okay, in the

beginning was because after I got my license, for five years,

I don't drive, so I scared. I stay in Clank

so you can imagine I don't drive after getting my license,

didn't drive for five years, and then got into my

car alone without anyone beside me. I am like shivering

every day and every day every Sunday, after church, after lunch,

it is the worst time of the day to drive

back home because why you're tired, you're sleepy, the hot

Sunday shining on you. So just last Sunday, I just

want to give thanks to God for his protection. So

God is with us, and God will answer our prayer.

three of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask,

it will be done for them by my Father in Heaven.

For where two all three are gathered together in my name,

I am there in the midst of them. So do

we want to see X church and bound powered forward

to see all.

Our dreams, our hope and vision come true?

If we want to, we need to pray not just once,

but fervently and steadfastly, and not treat prayer time as

an event, but treat is treat it knowing that the

Lord is with us and the Lord will answer us.

So back to X chapter two, Verds forty two, it

says that they continue continues that fastly in the apostle

doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of break, and in prayer.

it a lifestyle. Stay connected to God in obedience as well.

is what power us forward. And because of the prayer,

we can take one step forward.

Okay.

And without prayer we will stay stagnant, whether we like

it or not. That is the fact that if we

don't pray, we will remain at where we are at.

And last, but not least, even as I invite the

extreme thing to come forward, prayer reveals our dependency and

this is very important. So all of us need you know,

the product that we use at home, We need electricity.

That's why our life depends on TNB to give us

the electricity to power our fridge, our shower, whatever things

that runs on electricity. Okay, it depends on TNB nbble

to shut down tomorrow, right gone case, we were like thinking,

where will we get our electricity? Do we really need

to build our own the the the what with meal?

Is it called melk? Yeah? The thing that powers electricity?

Or do we need do you know?

Uh?

Do have us build our own solar panel? I don't

know how to build solar panels?

Okay? Do we need to?

Like? Okay, but what they say the water you spin

the money? I don't know, Like okay, I'm not an engineer.

Do we need to do it on our own? If

I said t MB, we really wild to shut down tomorrow.

This shows how much we dependent on this company. But

when it comes to our spiritual life, how much do

we depend on the Lord? Do we want to run

our life on our own? Or do we want to say,

like I mentioned just now, right, if there's normal TMB,

we will have to create our own electricity.

Do we want to.

Continue to run in our own strength or do we

want to, you know, be dependent on God. If we

say that we want to be dependent on God, that

is when we need to up in our prayer life.

Because our prayer life reveals exactly.

Who we depend on.

And every time we pray, we are coming before the

Lord humbly and saying that, you know, Lord, I.

Need you, I really need you. That's why.

That is something that I reminded everyone this morning. Don't

just come to God when something went wrong. Come to

God first to say that, you know, Lord, in good

times in bad times, I want to be dependent on you,

I need you. So the moment we stop praying, we

stop depending on God. Don't allow that to happen. Don't

allow our dependence to rest on anything other than God.

Our future should not be built on our own strength,

our own ability, or our own wisdom. Our future should

be built on our relationship with God. Continually seek him,

continually depend on him. When we seek him. When we

depend on him, we know that at the end of

the journey. You know, we will receive the victory that

He has planned for us. You know, when we depend

on him, when we abide in him. No matter how

tough the journey will be, you know that you can

find the strength to go through it. You know, when

you continue to surrender everything to the Lord, not falling

back into your own understanding, you will know that you

know the path is not so tough after all. Why

a lot of times we find that our path is

so hard to go through, It's because we are building

it on our own strength. We start programming in our

own head if I do this, what will happen?

If I do that? What will happen?

Don't just surrender totally. Maybe some of us we really

like to be in control. I was once like that.

I like to control my future. I like to control

my own circumstances. But the longer I hold onto my

own control, I find myself to be so tired, so discouraged,

you know, so bitten, And the harder I hold on

to my own strength, I start questioning myself.

Am I really dead? Useless? Am I really dead? Not good?

Am I really that?

You know you can feel it, all the negative thoughts,

because why the moment we hold onto our own strength,

we start comparing and we start beat ourselves. But the

moment I let go and I say that, Lord, maybe

I'm not good enough. Maybe in the world's eyes I'm useless.

Maybe in people's eyes, I am never the first choice.

But Lord, you have chosen me, and you will enable me.

And I'm just going to pray, and I'm just going

to bring to you my petition, you know, to be

used by you. And as we pray, God will align

our heart to his will. God will give us the

strength to continue to walk in his will. But you know,

the criterion is this. We must continually pray, not just one,

but continually pray. Because the word of the Lord, says

in First job Wards five, chapter five, was for this. Now,

this is the confidence we have in here that if

we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

When we surrender onto the Lord, when we ask according

to his will, he hear us, and he will answer us. So, Church,

let's stay connected to God daily, have a prayer powered life,

just like a powered food. It's the only one that

will move us forward to fulfill our God's given purpose.

So prayer is not an accessory to our ministry, not

an accessary to our life. Prayer is the power to

keep moving forward. So can I get everyone to stand.

Maybe some of you have come you know today, maybe

you have come into a position.

Where you have reached a stegnancy.

Or maybe right now some of you are making a

major decision in your life and you are trying to

find your own ways, and you say that you know, Nolah,

I don't think I want to pray because you know,

if I pray, what if God tell me not to

accept the job?

What should I do?

But I need that job because the job is paying

me three times more than my current job. Or maybe

you are facing you know, a very bad relationship with

your parents, or maybe with your relative or with your friends,

and you're very afraid to pray because you're afraid that

you know, what if I pray, God asked me to

go to that person and ask for forgiveness. But you

say that you know it's not even my fault. Why

should I go ahead ask for business? You know you

are afraid to do things, that is what you think otherwise.

But can I encourage you? Don't be afraid to pray.

Don't be afraid to hear from God, because when we pray,

when we hear from God, and when we obey, it

is you that is being set free.

It is you that will gain the victory. Maybe at

the point in time.

You will feel so humiliated, maybe you will feel that

you know there's so much shame, or maybe you will

feel that you know you will suddenly turned into so small.

Don't let your prict take over, but let the Holy

Spirit take over.
