You're listening to a message to go from axt church.
-
We hope this message will.
-
Light up your day.
-
Today.
-
Our message is from the core value from the trap
-
plus one corevalue value number six prayer powered.
-
Okay.
-
So in X chapter two, what's forty two? Okay, this
-
is where the covenue came from. Okay, it says that,
-
and they continues that firstly in the apostle doctrine and fellowship,
-
in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Okay, So
-
this is where the corevenue came from.
-
Okay.
-
We all believe that prayer. We all believe in prayer.
-
How many of you don't believe in prayer?
-
Ah?
-
See, everybody put down your head. Okay.
-
So all of us believe in prayer, whether you are
-
a believer of Christ or you're not a believer of Christ,
-
regardless who, everyone believed in prayer.
-
Okay.
-
But there is something even deeper. We believe that prayer
-
is what powers us. Prayer is what power us.
-
Okay. And there is a.
-
Difference between believing in prayer and living a prayer powered life.
-
Okay, don't show that the picture not Yeah, never.
-
Mind, sis, you're only seeing it. Continue seeing it, Okay.
-
So now I mentioned right, that's a difference being believing
-
in the power of prayer and living a prayer powered life. Okay,
-
So believing in the power of prayer is actually actually
-
a doctrinal position. Basically, you believe that Okay, this concept. Okay,
-
you believe in this concept, but another one is actually
-
living out the concept.
-
Okay.
-
So just like this phone, Okay, this phone I mentioned
-
that it don't merely works by believing about electricity, Can
-
you say that, Okay, I believe that electricity can.
-
Power my phone, but I never charge it.
-
One so I got around, I say that, hey, Joe,
-
I know the electricity can can charge my phone.
-
I no can make my phone works, but I've never
-
charge it.
-
I've never connected my phone through any of the electricity.
-
And then here I am wondering why I cannot start
-
my phone after probably a few hours of using it
-
because you just bought a new phone, right, and you
-
don't charge it, right? And how long can the phone?
-
The battery inside last only a few hours? And you're wondering, huh,
-
must be some songs see a very good phone.
-
But why after I used few hours? Cannot use really?
-
But then I know electricity will power my phone, but
-
I just don't want to judge that because some sols
-
say that it will last twenty four hours. Man, right,
-
So it doesn't make sense, right, And the phone can
-
only works if we need to charge it. And in
-
the same way, think of ourself as the phone.
-
Okay.
-
God created every one of us here with a purpose
-
to be his agents of change.
-
Okay.
-
Regardless where he places you, God created you with a
-
purpose to be the agents of change and to fulfill
-
what He has caused us to do. Okay, Whether you
-
like it or not, all of us has a commandment
-
that God has given to us to fulfill his purpose. So,
-
just like the phone cannot function without electricity, we cannot
-
live our live the life God designed for us apart
-
from him. Meaning we cannot live the life God has
-
designed from us if let's say, we are not being
-
powered by him, okay, And how can we be powered
-
by him? How can we be connected to him? It
-
is true prayer, okay, And that is how we can
-
make ourself to leave according to His purpose, which is
-
true prayer.
-
Okay.
-
And I just want to remind all of us here
-
a lot of time we think prayer is just you know,
-
talking to God, and that's it. Okay, prayer is not
-
just a touch and good conversation. Now, it's not going
-
to God and say that, Hey God, how are you today?
-
Is great? That's it. No, that is not prayer. That
-
is just saying hi to God. That's it.
-
So imagine you go up to someone and always just
-
a touch and good conversation. Just go there and just
-
say hi, how are you? And then the conversation never
-
carried anymore, and then three months later you see the
-
same person again and say hi, how are you. Do
-
you think that it's connection. No, we don't even call
-
that friendship. We probably call that acquaintance or maybe just
-
people I know, not even friends. Okay, so that is
-
not prayer neither. It is just an event. Sometimes we
-
see prayer as an event. Okay, it is not also
-
a formality just thinking that, oh okay, now it's prayer time.
-
I pray to and then when at.
-
Home, in my schedule there is no prayer in the checklist,
-
you know, the event we must cook breakfast and then
-
must do laundry, you know event. And then in your
-
event list there is no prayer. Then you don't pray,
-
So it is not a formality okay, or neither. It
-
is a sentence attached to our conversation or decision. Okay,
-
That is not prayer. Prayer is the engine of everything
-
that we do.
-
Okay. So I'm gonna tell you what is prayer later.
-
So, since today we talked about electricity, right, I'm gonna
-
share the message using this abbreviation.
-
Called t NB. Ah.
-
It sounds very familiar to all Malaysian, right yeah, because TNB.
-
The moment you see the word TNB, immediately you will
-
remember city and it stands for the Nagar national bird. Okay,
-
Now the electricity, you need to see the word the Naggar.
-
You don't see national bad anymore. Okay, you see the
-
logo okay. So we grew up with this ebuation TNB.
-
Every time we say are you no electricity? Let's caught
-
and b are you know my power trick CATNB? Are
-
you you know something feels on the roads like COTTNB No,
-
we always sey TNBTNB. So basically TNB is a company
-
that supplies electricity to every household in Malaysia.
-
Okay.
-
And we know without electricity flowing through the wires, nothing function.
-
So that's why we always rat no electricity. What will
-
happen to our fridge if it's raining? Okay, we cannot
-
shower cat our okay. And then if you're using induction cooker,
-
you cannot cook.
-
Okay.
-
If you are having electric gate, your git cannot open.
-
Okay.
-
We need TNB to allow us to function our normal life.
-
Okay.
-
So likewise, God is our true source of power, and
-
prayer is how we.
-
Plug ourselves into Him.
-
And without that connection, we simply do not have the
-
power to do what he has called us. Okay, So
-
t and me, let's look at the first one. T Okay,
-
tap into the source. Okay, all right, So ignore the
-
word can Okay. I do not know why it came out. Yeah,
-
I think his account is not paid. My account is paid.
-
Just kidding, okay, all right, tap into the sauce. Okay.
-
The gift of prayer, Prayer is a gift, Okay. Prayer
-
is not something that you have to work hard for it.
-
Prayer is a gift, just like you buy the phone, right,
-
what do you get as a gift? Maybe not iPhone now, okay,
-
any other bread? You will get the charger, right, It's
-
a gift, okay, a food, no matter how advanced or
-
how expensive it cannot generate on power one. Okay, what
-
is the most expensive phone now in the market, iPhone
-
can iPhone words without being charged meantime, the moment it
-
goes until five percent of mettery will also charge.
-
Run cannot write.
-
You still need to plug in, right yeah, maybe one
-
day it will. I never know, you know, with the
-
technology and I now days, I don't know. But right now,
-
all of us, regardless how expensive for maybe it's a
-
ten thousand worth of phone, Okay, you still need to
-
plug into the electricity. That's why all the phone that
-
you buy, it comes with the charging pot. It comes
-
with the cable, okay, to allow you to connect your
-
phone to the power source.
-
Okay. The pot and the cable that I mentioned just
-
now is the gift.
-
Okay, maybe some bread phone when you buy the phone,
-
you need to buy the cable. But majority of the
-
phone you buy it comes with the cable.
-
Okay.
-
So prayer, if God gave that allows us to stay
-
connected to him. Remember that prayer is a gift from
-
God to allow us to stay connected with him. So
-
we mentioned earlier in the few previous core value that
-
this twelve plus one core value came from the book
-
of X. Okay, And when we mentioned the Book of X,
-
we always remember about the Upper Room experience in X
-
chapter two, right, so we know when the Holy Spirit came.
-
You know, it falls on the people.
-
People start speaking in terms, people start praying in their
-
own languages, and all the power of the Holy Spirit move.
-
Now do you know that what happened prior to X
-
chapter two? Of course the easy s answer everybody say
-
prior to X chapter though there is X chapter one.
-
Call all read okay, But as you're read in X
-
chapter one, you will realize something that the people have
-
done before X chapter two. And what it is. Let's
-
read X chapter one, verse twelve to forty. Okay, So
-
the word of the Lord says. Then they returned to
-
Jerusalem from the mound called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem,
-
a seventh day's journey. And when they had entered, they
-
went up into the upper room where they were staying.
-
Peter James, John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas Bartholomew and
-
Matthew James the son of Elvieus, and Simon the Zalad
-
and Judas the son of James. These all continue with
-
one accord in prayer and supplication with the woman and
-
marry the mother of Jesus and with his brother. Okay,
-
so now you see before x chapter two, before the
-
Upper Room experience, before the visitations of the Holy Spirit,
-
what were the people doing.
-
The people came together.
-
And they have fun, is it or they come together
-
to it?
-
No, they all come together to pray.
-
So prayer was God's you know, prayer was never God's
-
back up plan.
-
Okay, it is his starting point. Remember this.
-
It is not that you know something happened or rey,
-
the backup plan is to pray. No, it is the
-
starting point. Because of the prayer, God move.
-
Okay. That's why before we do.
-
Anything, we start it off with prayer, not after something
-
happened then only we pray. So that's why it's really
-
really important this principle. Don't take prayer as a backup point.
-
Like for example, to put it very simply, now you
-
have a very clean bill of health. You just dig
-
your medical checkup. Everything is just on point. And you
-
say that I just went from a medical checkup. No
-
need to pray for good health. My health is so good.
-
I just continue to live my lifestyle. Play pickaball every day,
-
eat salad every day, Drink water every day, no sugar,
-
no salt, no oil.
-
Fool.
-
Do you think you can remain clean bill of health
-
just by doing that?
-
Maybe? Maybe not.
-
So what we need to do is that not wait
-
until the doctors say that one year later. Wha, Why
-
are your colloss show so higher then you need? Oh God,
-
I pray that you bring down my coloss show. No,
-
but you praying every single day giving thanks to God
-
for the clean bill of health, and continue to ask
-
God to cover you, to protect you, to build your body,
-
because why our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
-
We need to be healthy so that we can continue
-
to do more for God. Amen.
-
So remember prayer is a certain point to something greater,
-
something that God.
-
Intends to do. Amen.
-
So our God is a prayer answering God, and prayer
-
is one of his greatest gifts to all of us
-
because through it we can continue be plug onto Him.
-
And the Scripture taught us to uphold everything to God
-
in prayer.
-
Not something is everything?
-
Okay, including this is what I always tell the young kids,
-
including when you're mummy, bring you go shopping. You cannot
-
find car park, you just pray, God, please give me
-
a car park.
-
You know everything.
-
Don't say that I ask more, Matalnilla, No need to pray,
-
but you never know how your small metal can encourage someone.
-
Okay.
-
Even though I say that finding bucking is something that
-
I teach young children about asking God for simple things,
-
do you know that I used to do this with
-
my colleague as well.
-
Okay?
-
For those of you who always, you know, shot around
-
mid Valley, you know in a year there are a
-
few education fair Okay, and going to mid Valley on
-
a weekday to find bucking, especially near to where the
-
exhibition hall is, it's horrible. You can never find a pucking.
-
So what I did was I went in my colleague.
-
We round no pucking. So I just blurt out this prayer, Lord, please.
-
Give us a bucking in front of the lift and
-
Lord and behold.
-
Someone came out and I got the packing. And guess what.
-
Every time I go with her, she will say this,
-
Selena can use your magica. In the beginning, I was like,
-
what magic they every time when we want to loaf
-
for pucking, you will just say what I say.
-
There's not magic. There is prayer. You can pray too, okay.
-
And that is how God answers us when we uphold
-
everything okay to God, and God will answer okay.
-
And in Philippius chapter.
-
Four wards six to seven, he says, be anxious for nothing,
-
but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let
-
your request be made known to God. And the peace
-
of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guid your heart's minds.
-
True Christ Jesus.
-
So the word of the Lord says, in everything by
-
prayer and supplication.
-
Okay.
-
So remember that's too big a prayer or too small
-
a prayer that you cannot bring it to God. So
-
I just you know this, decided, you know, to do
-
some reading about prayer, okay, And I asked this question,
-
what is prayer? So I went into strong concordance, and
-
then I go and find the meaning, and the meanings.
-
Describe it as supplication.
-
I thought that it what tells me the meaning that
-
prayer is talking to God, asking God. But what caught
-
my attention is this It described it as supplication and worship.
-
We teach the children prayer is talking to God. But
-
when I look at the dictionary, right, it's not just
-
talking to God. It's worshiping him. Prayer is worshiping him.
-
To put it into layment terms, Prayer is acknowledged who
-
God is. Acknowledge that he is almighty, he is all powerful,
-
he is all all knowing, He is ever present, and
-
spending time talking with him and adoring him. It's all
-
about him, adoration. Okay, it's not so much about der
-
heavenly Father. You know today, I just want to tell
-
you I need this, I need this, I need this,
-
I need this, I need this, And you've forgotten who
-
God is. Prayer is coming into his present, acknowledging who
-
he is. So always remember that when we acknowledge who
-
he is, we know that we are now plugging ourselves
-
onto his great power. And when we plug ourselves to
-
his great power, we know that his power will flow
-
into us and his power will grand us the strength,
-
just like how the electricity gave our phone the energy okay,
-
the power. That is how God's you know, presence will
-
feel us and grand us the power. So remember that
-
without the connection with our Lord, our God, we will
-
eventually become very tired. We will become weary, we will
-
become dreamed. And that is what we always like to say.
-
We are burnout. When we are connected to God, we
-
will not burnout, but we will burned up for the Lord.
-
So you know when I read this, right, connecting to
-
God give us the power.
-
And then this.
-
Imagination came to my mind, like how extroverted people they
-
like to be among people. So all my extra watar
-
friends always say this one. You know, when I be
-
among people, right, I get very charged up on you crazy,
-
you know, because when I be among people, my energy
-
go down. Okay, but that is how the extrovatared people are.
-
They charge their energy by being among people. So when
-
we are being in the presence of God, that is
-
how we are being charged up so that we can
-
do more for God. All right, So remember this prayer
-
is our God given charging pot. Okay, prayer is our
-
God given charging pot, the gift that connects us to Him.
-
So that is t tap into the sauce. We need
-
to tap into the sauce so that we can receive
-
the power. And okay, what is end No faking the charge. Okay,
-
you cannot say go around say that, Oh I chuged
-
my phone ready yesterday, I chuged my phone ready. Okay,
-
now my phone is full of power. And then after
-
you try to scan the cure o CAD to register for.
-
Conference A, why my phone turned blank? One?
-
I changed my phone ready, I really changed my phone ready.
-
But your bettery won't lie. Okay, if you change your phone,
-
it will show one hundred. But if you claim that
-
you charge your phone, your bettery will not show one percent. Okay,
-
your bettery will never lie unless your battery is faulty.
-
Okay.
-
Yeah, so you know that you cannot go around and
-
say that you know you have pray, but actually you
-
did not. Because why you can say that, Oh, I
-
pray over everything already I pray for this?
-
Is I pray for that? You know? You can tell that. Okay,
-
people don't know whether you really pray or not.
-
But over time, it will actually show the result. The
-
outcome will actually show whether you really pray.
-
About it or not.
-
The time will tell, just like the time will tell
-
whether you charge your phone or not.
-
The time will tell whether you really pray. Okay.
-
So this is a reminder to all of us the
-
integrity of prayer.
-
There are two things we need to be very careful about.
-
Number one, be careful not to casually say to anyone
-
I will pray for you. Don't casually say that, because
-
you know prayer actually save life or not. You don't
-
go around and say that I will keep you in prayer.
-
But actually, after you say that I will keep you
-
in prayer, you turn your body. You've forgotten what you
-
told your friend already, okay, so don't casually say that
-
when you say I will pray for you, really pray
-
for that person. I was reminded about this statement saying
-
that you know, don't simply prom me someone that you
-
will pray for them, because you will be held accountable.
-
You know when I heard this right house, like wow,
-
I will be held accountable, not by your friendner, you
-
will be held accountable by the Lord. So be careful
-
not to simply say that I will pray for you
-
just casually like that, just just because you want to
-
make your friend happy. No, if you really cannot pray,
-
it's okay on nobody will blame you, But don't simply
-
say that. And another thing, this is something that all
-
all of us, including myself used to say what I
-
have prayed about it, So be careful also not to
-
casually say that I have prayed about it, especially when
-
you make major decisions in your life. So if you
-
are really making a major decision in your life, you
-
really need to get down on your knees and pray.
-
Not just one day, not just five minutes, but every
-
single day.
-
You need to.
-
Pray, supplicate, bring your petition unto the Lord.
-
And you really need to check back.
-
If you say that you hear it from God, check
-
back with the word of God, because whatever you hear
-
from God, it will never contradict with the Word of God.
-
So remember not to casually say that I prayed about it,
-
thinking that by just adding this statement into your sentence
-
will make you holier, more spiritual. No, don't, okay, don't
-
go through the motion. Okay, don't go through just because,
-
oh maybe if I tell Selena I've prayed about it,
-
then she would agree better. No, don't, because prayer is
-
not just going through the motion. There is power in prayer,
-
really one, There is power in prayer. And when we
-
really spend time in prayer, the genuine prayer will change
-
as well. It will align us with God's will, and
-
the fruits will become evident over time in our life.
-
So time will ultimately reveal whether you have genuinely prayed
-
about it and whether you are connected, connected with the thoughts,
-
which is God. So remember that prayer is measured by connection.
-
It's not by conversation. Doesn't mean you say that I
-
prayed about it.
-
That is connection.
-
People can tell one through your lifestyle, through your speech,
-
through your action. So remember that the integrity of prayer.
-
Don't just simply say so. Real prayer, like real charge
-
to our phone, is seen how we leave, and it
-
cannot be faked by words. Okay, remember that. Okay, So
-
that is end. Okay, no faking the charge. So let's
-
spend time to pray. Even if you say that, you know,
-
I cannot spend not praying one hour a day, just
-
like the pastest, I also cannot pray for one hour, Okay,
-
at least five minutes first, the slowly increase it to
-
ten minutes to fifteen minutes.
-
Or maybe you can break it down like me.
-
I break down my prayer one morning, afternoon at night
-
because my attention to spend is very low. Okay, I
-
can pray halfay and then I'll start thinking about different things.
-
Yeah that's me. Okay, So I.
-
Break it down, you know, like children minutes, five minutes,
-
five minutes my needs. Okay, you can start by that, okay,
-
and as you pray, the Holy Spirit.
-
Will help you to lengthen your prayer time.
-
And just like when you can spend time to your friends,
-
are for ours.
-
God is our friend, you know, Jesus is our friend.
-
Why don't we spend time talking to him, downloading from
-
him and hearing from him?
-
Right? Okay?
-
So there is end and then b be powered, not
-
just plug in occasionally. Okay. So this means being prayer powered.
-
So now nobody treats charging phone as once in a
-
year or once a while event. You don't wait for
-
X I'm bunk to organize and not charging ceremony okay,
-
and then you'll see the you know, the chapters that
-
come to the front and say that, okay, we are
-
having a phone charging ceremony.
-
That sime there. Remember to bring your phone and charge.
-
No nobody wait for that, nobody, you know, wait for
-
the ones in the wild.
-
Event. We charge our phone every day. Okay.
-
For those of you who use phone a lot, you
-
charge it. The moment you see your phone hit thirty percent,
-
you immediately charge it because you're like, if not, okay,
-
I cannot be functional okay, not your phone cannot be functional.
-
You cannot be functional. That's why you need to charge
-
your phone.
-
And that's the reason why all of us here have
-
at least two charger because why if I cannot reach
-
home in time to charge, I can charge in my car.
-
Right, your powers charge it, okay.
-
So that's why you charge your power back and then
-
you bring it with you so that you can continue charging.
-
Right.
-
So that's why we all need the cables to make
-
sure that our phone can function, so that we can
-
be functional. So it's a day lifestyle, right, whether you
-
like you're not charging your phone, it's a daily lifestyle
-
and it's very autopilot. One first thing. First, you reach home,
-
charge your phone. You wake up in the morning, you
-
unfloop your phone, okay. Then you go to your off face.
-
After lunch, you come back, you charge your phone.
-
Okay. That is routine. Nobody needs to tell you one.
-
And you don't even need to put it into your
-
calendar to remind you to charge, because why it has
-
become your lifestyle, okay, and you know that you need
-
the constant power otherwise it is useless your phone. Likewise,
-
we are not called to pray occasionally. You don't need
-
to wait for the four times a year pray to pray. Okay,
-
what is the four times the p p R four
-
y prayer rally. You don't need to wait for the
-
four times prayer to pray. You don't need to wait
-
for U turn to pray next up, any CF is coming.
-
You don't need to wait for any CF to pray.
-
You need to pray every single day because why we
-
are caught to leave a prayer power line so that
-
we can move forward, whether in the work of God
-
or in your life. We need to be powered by
-
prayer so that we know we have the anointing from God,
-
we have the covering from God, we have the protection
-
from God.
-
You know, one of the.
-
Habit or lifestyle I have is that every time I
-
enter into my car, I will pray for protection since
-
the first day I got my car. Okay, in the
-
beginning was because after I got my license, for five years,
-
I don't drive, so I scared. I stay in Clank
-
and I work in the Mansarah. It's an hour drive,
-
so you can imagine I don't drive after getting my license,
-
didn't drive for five years, and then got into my
-
car alone without anyone beside me. I am like shivering
-
and trembling. I don't there to drive, but I have
-
to drive otherwise I can alrage work.
-
So I did.
-
I go into the car and I and I prayed,
-
this Lord, take over the wheel, protect me. Whatever danger
-
that is going to come against me.
-
You have to shield me.
-
That is my prayer every time I go into the
-
car and kid you not. From the day I got
-
my car until today, God's covering and protection has always
-
be upon me. Do you know that just last Sunday,
-
every day and every day every Sunday, after church, after lunch,
-
it is the worst time of the day to drive
-
back home because why you're tired, you're sleepy, the hot
-
Sunday shining on you. So just last Sunday, I just
-
want to give thanks to God for his protection. So
-
I drive to the toll booth. I use RFID.
-
Okay.
-
So I drive the RFID Okay. It doesn't work, and
-
there was a bus behind me. Kay, I go in front,
-
doesn't work. I reverse, I go further, go in front,
-
that's the word.
-
Try again. It doesn't work. Okay.
-
So I went into the lane that has both RFID
-
and touch and go. So I reverse and then I
-
want to type, uh, you know the touch and go,
-
and I've.
-
Forgotten to put it to D.
-
It was still in R, so after I tapped, I
-
accelerated and thank God, and it's not a slow acceleration now,
-
it's kind so you can't imagine. It went backwards and
-
the bus was there, and I thanked God that the bus.
-
When I was reversing in out in our the bus
-
driver reversed further. And when I noticed that I did
-
not change my gear, I stepped on the break on time.
-
Otherwise I do not know where I'll be or what
-
will happen to my car. And that's the end of
-
the story. But I thank God for his protection. Immediately
-
I was awake. Okay, So you can say that maybe
-
do to a lot of us who drive every single day,
-
we will think that a yeah, pray what I get
-
into the car and just go. But it is prayer
-
that's safe life. Okay, So remember that we need to
-
live a prayer powered life. And I'm just going to
-
go through this few four points here before I end.
-
Yeah, very fast today, Okay.
-
One thing I want to remind all of us is
-
prayer is not an event which I mentioned just now,
-
prayer is not merely a formality. Okay, maybe some people
-
will will prayer as an event, like, for example, prayer service.
-
So because it's an event, we choose not to come. Okay,
-
we choose not to go for the event, because when
-
we think it's an event, we can choose.
-
Not to go. Man.
-
But here in Ects, we believe that when people come together,
-
God is with us, and God will answer our prayer.
-
So in Meddiel chapter eighteen, verse nineteen to twenty, it
-
says again I say to you that if two or
-
three of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask,
-
it will be done for them by my Father in Heaven.
-
For where two all three are gathered together in my name,
-
I am there in the midst of them. So do
-
we want to see X church and bound powered forward
-
to see all.
-
Our dreams, our hope and vision come true?
-
If we want to, we need to pray not just once,
-
but fervently and steadfastly, and not treat prayer time as
-
an event, but treat is treat it knowing that the
-
Lord is with us and the Lord will answer us.
-
So back to X chapter two, Verds forty two, it
-
says that they continue continues that fastly in the apostle
-
doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of break, and in prayer.
-
The people that continue step fastly. They do not just
-
wait for the apostle to be there only they pray.
-
But the people come together to pray. The very first
-
Christians in the Book of Egs make prayer a regular
-
part of their daily life. They are devoted to it.
-
They didn't just pray when things went wrong. They pray
-
because they know that it is important. They know that
-
there is power. They kept the connection with the Lord open, okay.
-
So they remain spiritually connected every single day. And that
-
is a very good reminder to all of us how
-
we should approach prayer not just an event, but a
-
daily lifestyle. So, which go to the second point here,
-
prayer as a lifestyle, okay, So we need to make
-
it a lifestyle. Stay connected to God in obedience as well.
-
So all of us know Metthil chapter six rite the
-
Lord's prayer, okay. And it's also a prayer that we
-
get all our children to recite every time when they
-
come for x kist okay, and before the Lord's prayer.
-
Jesus explicitly said this, but when you pray, go into
-
your room, okay, Jesus did they say if you pray?
-
So we all know these statements tell us what.
-
Jesus is commanding us, and it's telling us that we
-
need to pray, because.
-
The words say when, not if. When.
-
Messa is something that we have to do every day, okay.
-
So it's a necessity, constant necessity, and it's not an option.
-
So if you think that prayer is an option, sorry,
-
because the Bible says that it's something that we have
-
to do every day. So just you don't change your
-
phone once in a while, you shouldn't just pray once
-
in a while. So to have you to remember when
-
to pray. Every time you change your foot, you pray, okay,
-
not God, please charge my food faster? I noah, okay.
-
So it's a.
-
Reminder the moment you press the you know, the switch
-
to change your phone, go into your prayer room to pray.
-
Okay.
-
So as like how those of you who travel, you
-
will never forget to pack your charger, don't forget to pray. Amen,
-
So we will never forget to pack our charger. Word,
-
no matter where we go, we will always remember to
-
pack our charger. So no matter what we do, in
-
everything that we do, remember to start off with prayer, okay,
-
and remember prayer powers is forward.
-
Okay.
-
So x Abuk is here not because we have nothing
-
better to do. X Aumbung is here because someone prayed
-
for it. Every church plan in ex Church exists, not
-
because the CHURCHMLANK coordinator has nothing better to do, not
-
because Master Kenneth has nothing better to do, all the
-
leaders have something to do, but because someone prayed for it.
-
You know, x AmBank started because the group of students
-
back then it's called ti you see now it's called
-
TI you empty. They prayed for it because for them
-
as a student to travel to ex Subangaya is very.
-
Very very far.
-
So they prayed for it, and x Ambang was birth.
-
Same goes to every of our other church plan. Someone
-
prayed for it and that's why it is birth. Fourth,
-
we are the fruit of someone's prayer, whether you like
-
it or not, all of us here is the fruit
-
of someone prayer. Your salvation is the fruit of someone's prayer.
-
That's why we do baby dedication.
-
Right.
-
We pray for Lira's salvation, But does that mean that
-
she already received her salvation. Not yet she has to
-
declare it on her own, but we, as her village,
-
the parents will constantly pray for her salvation until she
-
herself said that I want Jesus to be my personal
-
Lord and savior. All of us are someone's prayer. You know,
-
your safety is because your parents pray for you, right,
-
maybe some of the things that you have been praying
-
on your own, and then suddenly you know you receive it,
-
and you will be thinking that maybe I myself pray,
-
but who knows. The friends that you shared with pray
-
for you. So all of us are a product of
-
someone's prayer.
-
Okay.
-
And then in extra sure, we don't merely believe that
-
there is power in prayer. We don't just believe, but
-
we leave it up and we believe that prayer itself
-
is what power us forward. And because of the prayer,
-
we can take one step forward.
-
Okay.
-
And without prayer we will stay stagnant, whether we like
-
it or not. That is the fact that if we
-
don't pray, we will remain at where we are at.
-
Amen.
-
And last, but not least, even as I invite the
-
extreme thing to come forward, prayer reveals our dependency and
-
this is very important. So all of us need you know,
-
the product that we use at home, We need electricity.
-
That's why our life depends on TNB to give us
-
the electricity to power our fridge, our shower, whatever things
-
that runs on electricity. Okay, it depends on TNB nbble
-
to shut down tomorrow, right gone case, we were like thinking,
-
where will we get our electricity? Do we really need
-
to build our own the the the what with meal?
-
Is it called melk? Yeah? The thing that powers electricity?
-
Or do we need do you know?
-
Uh?
-
Do have us build our own solar panel? I don't
-
know how to build solar panels?
-
Okay? Do we need to?
-
Like? Okay, but what they say the water you spin
-
the money? I don't know, Like okay, I'm not an engineer.
-
Do we need to do it on our own? If
-
I said t MB, we really wild to shut down tomorrow.
-
This shows how much we dependent on this company. But
-
when it comes to our spiritual life, how much do
-
we depend on the Lord? Do we want to run
-
our life on our own? Or do we want to say,
-
like I mentioned just now, right, if there's normal TMB,
-
we will have to create our own electricity.
-
Do we want to.
-
Continue to run in our own strength or do we
-
want to, you know, be dependent on God. If we
-
say that we want to be dependent on God, that
-
is when we need to up in our prayer life.
-
Because our prayer life reveals exactly.
-
Who we depend on.
-
And every time we pray, we are coming before the
-
Lord humbly and saying that, you know, Lord, I.
-
Need you, I really need you. That's why.
-
That is something that I reminded everyone this morning. Don't
-
just come to God when something went wrong. Come to
-
God first to say that, you know, Lord, in good
-
times in bad times, I want to be dependent on you,
-
I need you. So the moment we stop praying, we
-
stop depending on God. Don't allow that to happen. Don't
-
allow our dependence to rest on anything other than God.
-
Our future should not be built on our own strength,
-
our own ability, or our own wisdom. Our future should
-
be built on our relationship with God. Continually seek him,
-
continually depend on him. When we seek him. When we
-
depend on him, we know that at the end of
-
the journey. You know, we will receive the victory that
-
He has planned for us. You know, when we depend
-
on him, when we abide in him. No matter how
-
tough the journey will be, you know that you can
-
find the strength to go through it. You know, when
-
you continue to surrender everything to the Lord, not falling
-
back into your own understanding, you will know that you
-
know the path is not so tough after all. Why
-
a lot of times we find that our path is
-
so hard to go through, It's because we are building
-
it on our own strength. We start programming in our
-
own head if I do this, what will happen?
-
If I do that? What will happen?
-
Don't just surrender totally. Maybe some of us we really
-
like to be in control. I was once like that.
-
I like to control my future. I like to control
-
my own circumstances. But the longer I hold onto my
-
own control, I find myself to be so tired, so discouraged,
-
you know, so bitten, And the harder I hold on
-
to my own strength, I start questioning myself.
-
Am I really dead? Useless? Am I really dead? Not good?
-
Am I really that?
-
You know you can feel it, all the negative thoughts,
-
because why the moment we hold onto our own strength,
-
we start comparing and we start beat ourselves. But the
-
moment I let go and I say that, Lord, maybe
-
I'm not good enough. Maybe in the world's eyes I'm useless.
-
Maybe in people's eyes, I am never the first choice.
-
But Lord, you have chosen me, and you will enable me.
-
And I'm just going to pray, and I'm just going
-
to bring to you my petition, you know, to be
-
used by you. And as we pray, God will align
-
our heart to his will. God will give us the
-
strength to continue to walk in his will. But you know,
-
the criterion is this. We must continually pray, not just one,
-
but continually pray. Because the word of the Lord, says
-
in First job Wards five, chapter five, was for this. Now,
-
this is the confidence we have in here that if
-
we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
-
When we surrender onto the Lord, when we ask according
-
to his will, he hear us, and he will answer us. So, Church,
-
let's stay connected to God daily, have a prayer powered life,
-
just like a powered food. It's the only one that
-
will move us forward to fulfill our God's given purpose.
-
So prayer is not an accessory to our ministry, not
-
an accessary to our life. Prayer is the power to
-
keep moving forward. So can I get everyone to stand.
-
Maybe some of you have come you know today, maybe
-
you have come into a position.
-
Where you have reached a stegnancy.
-
Or maybe right now some of you are making a
-
major decision in your life and you are trying to
-
find your own ways, and you say that you know, Nolah,
-
I don't think I want to pray because you know,
-
if I pray, what if God tell me not to
-
accept the job?
-
What should I do?
-
But I need that job because the job is paying
-
me three times more than my current job. Or maybe
-
you are facing you know, a very bad relationship with
-
your parents, or maybe with your relative or with your friends,
-
and you're very afraid to pray because you're afraid that
-
you know, what if I pray, God asked me to
-
go to that person and ask for forgiveness. But you
-
say that you know it's not even my fault. Why
-
should I go ahead ask for business? You know you
-
are afraid to do things, that is what you think otherwise.
-
But can I encourage you? Don't be afraid to pray.
-
Don't be afraid to hear from God, because when we pray,
-
when we hear from God, and when we obey, it
-
is you that is being set free.
-
It is you that will gain the victory. Maybe at
-
the point in time.
-
You will feel so humiliated, maybe you will feel that
-
you know there's so much shame, or maybe you will
-
feel that you know you will suddenly turned into so small.
-
Don't let your prict take over, but let the Holy
-
Spirit take over.
