We hope this message will light up your team today.

We're gonna be covering value number eight. Okay, and what

does it cover? This one actually prepares slightes today. Okay.

So then number eight is about ownership promoting or ownership promoting. Okay.

Now some of you like, hey, ownership promoting doesn't sound

like a typical Bible phrase, you know. It sounds more

like something coming up from team building, you know, or

corporate you know what they call it exercises, you know.

But before I proceed, maybe, you know, I just want

to share with you guys. We go through some scripture.

We turn to maybe X chapter two. Uh, and then

I think, okay, we just go straight to X the

two verse forty four okay, And then what does it

say here for my slide? It says this is after

you know, the Christians gathered together, you know, three thousand

people believe, after Peter's preached. It says here that now

all who believe were together and all and had all

things in common. Okay. There's a few things that stand

out from this verse. It says that now all who

believe it didn't say part by It says all, and

the requirement is that it includes everybody that actually believed,

now believe. It's not just something they're happy in their heart,

but it it's pretty obvious that whatever they believe, it

actually manifested into decisions, into lifestyle, something that it's very

very obvious to the public eye as well. Okay, it's

very very very very obvious. And it says that they

were twogether. Okay, they were united together, and you can

tell it's like where everybody believe. It's not like, hey,

some people believe there were one group the other way,

one group another way, but they were together. And not

only were they together, it also said that they had

all things in common. Now, when you read this, what

examples can you think in your life that actually share

similar characteristics? When things come together, when things believe, when everything,

when they all had all things in common? What's the

one thing? What's what some of the examples you think

it might anyone? What examples? Brain? Pray okay, praying, okay,

praying okay? What else? How many of you watch work up?

I know it's a bit already, you know, because the

fever is strong. But I like to use the example

because how many of you actually like watching football, or

in America they called soccer. How many of you cannot

appreciate it? You just want to, you know, like me,

if you're twenty two people just chasing after the ball

in the big field, you cannot appreciate it, right, you

have no idea what they were doing. Right? How many

of you you try to appreciate? But you just feel

as you watch that one team is so connected and

one team feel disconnected one you know what I'm saying, uh,

and some of your and a lot of times you

watch the news and you feel like, hey, one team

seems to talk about different people, and then there's one

country they only talk about one guy on they whether

it's messy, whether it's a role now though and stuff

like that. You're like, hey, how came this entire country

is just talking about one fella? But with Spain and

then you know, I'm not a Spain but actually I am,

like you know, but actually I supports Spain Argentina and

they ended up in the final. Sometimes my choice to

God that you know how to blame, but they play

well together. But I tell you because I play competitive

sports as well, I plil basketball and play full call

we play competition. You can tell when a team believes,

and that's very very important. When the team don't believe,

some people don't even show up, you know that they

don't even bother showing up. But when the team believes

and they can win and they are closed, they show

up and you can tell inside there what's what's WhatsApp group?

They're excited, you know, they want to play. People show

up wearing the right jersey. People show up wearing the

wrong jersey before you know, like, I don't know how

that happened, they actually were wrong, just even, but they

don't make this time scared. They show up early, they

are excited and all. And then when they try to

take ownership to to rarely as well, and it says

that they were together. You know when a team when

a basketball team right, you know when a football team.

You know, sometimes different people have ups and downs, not

because it's a team spot, whether it's five or eleven.

Some people have a good game. Some people can have

a very bad game. Sometimes you can shoot ten times

and you got zero, or maybe you play so bad

that your coach decided deciders to pull you out, or

you have too many fouls that you cannot play anymore.

You have to sit and rest for a while. One

of the things that we teach young people is that

when they get into such a bad we call it

bad streaker, is that they when they come and sit,

they must sit together in the team. They don't sit

out at the fun at the far in corner there

and you know what I'm saying, No, we'll never so

one there was one time my job was that you know,

my culture I remember he told me, is that you

know there was one young guy he played bad and

he was there, he was sulking, and my job and

then my culture said, you go and drag him here

and put him in. If he wants to suck, he

will suck together, not suck at the side there. So

I actually went there. I literally had to drag you

come here right now, and they say, put here, you

su together. You get what I'm saying. Now, we know

that you have you can complain, you can sell and

sometimes it's tough, but you don't do it separately because

why why do you do that? Because it affects everybody.

Even you have a great strategy, if you have a

good feeling, if everybody, if there's one guy sitting at

the corner salting. Everybody's attention is drawn to that guy.

You get what I'm saying. You know, if today we

have a church here and we had I know, I

don't know, a great service, great worship, great testimony. Wow,

no people got healed. But then there is one guy

just sitting at one corner there and then sulking. I

tell you, as good as it is that everyone gets affected. No, true,

not everyone gets affected. You go for a family meal,

you pick, can get a very good, expensive meal. But

if one guy is sitting at one corner salking there,

guanga is missing. Everyone gets affected. No matter how good

the meal is and everything, everyone gets affected. So it

is important not just that we believe. It is important

that we come together. And you must understand that at

that time the church, it is their first time coming together.

It's all like a big church. You know what I'm saying,

that three thousand people, you know, with the apostles and

for the first time, and then they are trying it

out for the first time. Everybody is watching. Everybody is

looking and observing. What does the church look like? Does

it look like the Jewish temple on the organization. Everybody

is observing and the first thing that they observed that

they were together together. And it's very very important. And

you say, it's that they had all things in common.

And when you play sports as well, so yeah, I

use a lot of analogy in sports, you kind of

have a common goal. Again, it's very very important a

common goal. I play this recently. I joined this. It's

like all these basketball group and all these so it's

like people above forty and they call it. They call

it the Golden Group, you know, and you say, anythink

golden you know you're older, you know. It's like, so

I enjoy it, and I realized this group was quite fun,

you know, because they organize and then they have people

they actually do draft things like wow, this is I've

never seen a group that actually does such organized game before.

And not only they after you play the game, you

know what they do or not. They actually have video recording,

you know, they actually a bigger recording for service, the

video recording for a basketball game, you all. And then

it's not just video. It's an AI camera so HA

can track and then play. It's based on your number

and then how much you move on it. All it's

real legit stuff and all, and not only that a

few of the guys actually voluntary to collect stats, you know,

for a casual game. You know, I was like, whoa,

this is so cool. But the moment you did you

start collecting stats, you know what happens, right, everybody start

looking at their stats. You know, everybody started looking at

their stats or how many points I score? And how

many things? How many rebounds I collected? You know, everybody

started looking. And you notice that the week after people

play differently because you know, you collect stacks and it's

being tracked. Everybody plays differently. I started noticing everybody is

jacking up shots. You know, everybody wants to It was

like the ball is not passing anymore. We don't have

anything in common. Everybody started having their own agenda because

everybody want to score. You know what I'm saying, not

I see It's amazing. Sometimes are things that can affect,

you know, and trickle down in football as well. You know,

sometimes people like, oh, how many passes I make? How

many shots on the penalty? Everybody gets you all into

their own gender, but they don't have all things in common.

I can tell you you don't even't have to talk

about church. You talk about just a team, a sports team,

any sports team. Okay. They know that when you don't

have the same thing in common, they won't go far.

They won't go far. The church as well, if you

don't have the same thing common, if the pastor the

leaders and all the congregations, you don't have the same

thing common, you won't be able to go far. You

know what I'm saying. No, it's very very very important

understanding that we actually have to nail down. Okay, So

there's a few things I want to share with you guys,

also covered inside your booklet here. So the first thing

we mentioned here is says the church is a community,

not a crowd. Okay, a community and non a crowd.

What is the difference between a community and a crowd?

What's the difference between a community and a crowd? We

having a crowd here or a community here? Yeah, there's

the difference in there. We have a community here. A

crowd is when you go to a concert, it's just strangers,

you know, it's just everybody. You know, it's just shoulder

to show the squeezing. Where's my seat? You know, I

hope you know I get the front seat. You know,

if someone is in my seat. I'm going to get angry.

You know, I'm going to get upset. I paid so

much for it. Everyone is, you know, it's a crowd.

I'm here not to belong to everybody. I'm here to

enjoy if everybody does something, okay, But we're not a community. Okay.

But it says here the church is a community, not

a crowd. But how many of you know that? It's

very easy for the church to sway into a crowd,

isn't it? Sometimes? You know, I've been to just one time.

I was in Sydney and I think it was two

thousand three, two thousand and three, was there for the

Hillson Conference. When there we used the I think it

was the Sydney Olympic Stadium first time. I think it

was about twenty five thousand people massive when there, whoa.

I looked down at the ohoh, it's just a sea

of people, okay, and I had I felt so out

of place. I was like, what is this? Everybody was

worshiping beautiful and I was like, what kind of nice?

You know? But I was I can't help to feel

But it's kind of as well, you know what I'm saying,

Because I've been so used to going to a church

just like one hundred people, one hundred and fifty people,

when I suddenly I'm surrounded by twenty five thousand people, Okay.

And it also made me realize that I, deep down

inside what I enjoy it. You know, I enjoy the

experience the concert, and it's nothing wrong that there's a

place for it. But what we are actually called for

is that we are called for to get theness, intimacy, closeness, community.

And the fact is one of the best example apart

from a team that we can relate is is that

we are called to be a body. Does your body

eat different food? Different parts of your body eat different food.

Some of my feet once McDonald's, my ear, once Nazi,

the math, my hand on one chocolate, whatever I ate

through my mouth, the whole body share it, you can mean,

we share the whole thing. You know, when my feet

hurts or my hip hurts, everybody feels it. True. Now

when you have heart problems and everybody feels it. When

you have a headache, your whole body stops as well.

You know what I'm saying. Now, every whether you can

feel like hey, but we are so far away my

brain and my feet. It's not connected, but it's affected.

It affects everyone, you like it or not. What we

take in, what we produce, you know, what we process

inside affects one another in this together. And we cannot

live for ourselves. Ye know what I'm saying now we

can We cannot live for ourselves. When you go to

see the doctor, you don't just bring one of your hands,

you know, Can you just treat the hand the rest

of my body I stay at home? Does it work

that way? It's not like a roboty now, It's like

you fix one part and you have to go and say, oh,

you know, Joelle, I only treat your finger. The rest

I don't. I don't get. But if they mess up

your finger, get the infection, your whole body gets a

fever and all you get what I'm saying or not.

They cannot just admit your finger, but then the rest

of your body not admitted, you know. You know what

I'm saying, No, they cannot. They have to treat the

whole body. You know what I'm saying. No, they actually

find out what's wrong with the rest of your body.

You cannot admit part of it. The whole body gets

admitted into it, and it's important that no one leaves

for themselves only, which is one of the most common

what they call it challenge. We all have it. People

just only bother about their own thing. I call this

I only wash my own ball syndrome. You know, you

know what I'm saying. You know, in your own family,

how many of you know what I'm talking about. I

only wash my own bowl syndrome. You know. I always challenge.

You know, it's like, hey, I say hey, you know

my kids and say, hey, Nathan, help to wash the dishes.

I come back, I only see one bowl washing all

the rest not wash one at all. I was like, so,

who's gonna do it? They're like, pretend don't know. You know,

suddenly all you know, eight years of studying in the

school all went out of the window, and suddenly they

became a baby again, you know, you know, suddenly normal education.

Oh I don't know, I don't know, no education left.

And I was like, what happened? Oh my investment? They

knowbody he wants to wash each other's ball? There? I said,

come on, your sister is not in ready, can you

wash your ball as well? And then the rest she

washed her own baller, that's not mine. Already done my part? Ready? Yeah?

But every time when you don't do who does yours?

I don't know how many of you know what I'm

talking about? Very frustrating, isn't it? Who cleans up the

dinner table after meal? Some of you are like, oh no,

I never done it before. I never cleaned up? Who

washes the toilet? How many of you actually has stayed

with roommates before? How me have you stay with roommates with?

Are you love staying with roommates? No? Some of you,

like I tell you, one good thing you can talk

about is during lunchtime is your roommate horror stories? Okay,

maybe not your home horror stories are some of the

interesting horror stories are horror stories? You know? Now? One

of the things that you when you stay with roommates

is like, okay, the chores to clean up the house,

isn't it when you use a toilet when there's like

four of you and they only own one toilet in

the morning, all the best you know? You know, when

there's only one washer, no, a laundry washer, all the beds, okay,

when everybody there's only one fridge and you buy and

then the next day you rescover all your grocery gone.

How come they use your grocery? You still all their own.

You know. There's one time I bought that. I got

so upset. You know, I bought all the chicken. Then

after that finished, you know, oh, like what happened somebody

taught that? Oh I thought that was mine I bought

last week. No, it was written the name there. They

use all my chicken. And then last time I cooked

one big porridge. You know I cook. They like my

porridge and porridge. I just I could. I haven't even yet,

you know. I came back it was all gone, and

I was like, so upset, Hey, what happened to my project? Oh?

I thought you cooked for us? I was like, oh,

very generous. Huh. When it's communick, when it's convenient, it's

a community, you know. Oh. Then and then you struggle

with all these things. But you know, no, people tend

to just live for ourselves. And nowadays, you know, I

think the society is getting more and more private, isn't it.

Everybody is like their own thing. You know. In Japan,

one of the best things that people enjoy is their

own personal booth. You know, so they can eat and

watch their phone without people bothering them, you know. And

the trainers or some trains are specialized. They have a

special owned booth as well. I don't want to disturb anybody.

Everybody is isolated. Everybody it's one of their own privacy.

There's no sense of responsibility anymore. Okay, So that's a

very dangerous thing, you know. But in the church, what

we are talking about in the church, it's not just

it's not just something nice, but it's actually very biblical

that the church, the thing that God has established to

build us together, is our responsibility. Okay, so if you

see a kid lass you know this from our church one,

please help out just and then you know, now this

what people do rather than help? Well, know, what's the

one problem that we have. What's the immediate reaction? Teck

out the phone video? Who is helping the person? You

guys said always I always look at the Instagram. How

is this thing being recorded? You know, and people are

just watching, you know, like, oh, tragedy happening and all that.

What are you doing? And that's our testimony is like ah,

that cannot be Okay. Now next one we're call and

call to be owners and not rendoers. Okay, owners. And

because the church is meant to be to build, it

is built up to be a home, an order hotel okay.

How many of you like going to hotels? Yeah? Yes, no,

or you too shy? Or course you enjoy hot there,

course you enjoy. I used to work in the hotel

industry in for a while. Do you know that I

used to I actually work in this company. We actually

built built hotels. One of my projects was in Desau.

How many have you been the Jojo Yeah, you know,

the beach side or the Heart Road hotel. That's my project. Ah,

the Westing opposite there, that's my project. Ah. So all

this so when I actually went there, and when I

woke the corridor, I actually remember, now this is how

far it is, I know it not exactly. So I

was looking at what the material they actually use. And

then we actually built a forty five golf, so I

got to remember as well. One of the things I

actually remember was the golf. Sorry, the golf and the hoteling.

But you know, and the idea of a hotel, of

course is to make it feel welcome, the idea to

exhibit a sense of luxury, you know, a home away

from home, but you must understand it can never replicate home.

It can never ever replicate home. One of the things

that we always have the budget in the hotel is

how many things people steal from the hotel. You'd be

surprised the amount of things actually people actually steal from

the hotel. You know, they's steal hair dryer. If they

can steal, you know, there's steal every soul. You know,

there's still bad sheets, there's steal towers, there's still glass,

there's still as well, anything in the common area. And

be careful. They also take one and know, so a

lot of times we have to like remind people, you know,

this is hotel, you know, but if you own your home,

you technically can't steal things from your home. Run and no,

you know I'm saying, and not because it belongs to that.

Maybe you can. And this is your father and mother one,

but the one got you're going the one you got

issues like, okay, they one need to separate, need to

set a separate issue. Okay, but ho telling we did

a lot of that. There are aliens staying in the

foreign place temporarily, but they don't take ownership. People destroy

things like crazy. Okay, you'd be amazed what people can

do in the bathtub. People actually, you know broad and

all that. I don't know how badly. Uh you know,

they managed to fill the bathtub with different animals, you

know with this one time I got I was I

was hurt. I was told there are different animals including

fish and dogs. And how they end up in the

bathtub we don't know as well. So next time you

go to the hotel, make sure you clean the bathtub

carefully before you use it. There'll be many some people

have a party and all you be things stuck, you know.

There there's one time I remember there are people who

actually start things in the ceiling before, so like, how

did they actually happen? So these are behaviors not of

a homeowner or someone who's just renting. We just want

to use for their own pleasure for the time being.

But the church is not called to be a hotel.

We want everyone to fit to treat this as a

home as we treat it as a home as well.

I wrote here on the next line that tenants moving

and out, you're moving, you move out. You're moving, and

you move out. And after a while, if something doesn't

really feed you you live. You know, you go to

the front dess day and they say, can I give

where's your hotel feedback book? You know the big booker. Yeah,

you'll flip it open this day, this name, I was unhappy.

After you write your unhappiness, take a social media no,

I want to report and then we don't do that. Okay,

you don't do that to your own home. Run is

if you invite someone okay to your home to eat,

and before the person leaves, the person writes a feedback

on your food, and then it gives a review I

didn't like the Chinese k new your food, you know,

oh the Christmas moth was horrible, and then leaves. How

would do that feel if my children do that to me?

All the best? You know what I'm saying. You know,

you don't do that to your own home, but we

do to a stranger. We do some of the most

critical things we can do. You know, you know what

I'm saying. No, so we don't move in and out, okay,

but we take responsibility. We bear with one another as well,

and we will actually want people to unpack. We know

that you may have come from a different background. Maybe

you have a different preference as well. But what we

want like to invite you into the church. It is

not just to always be ready to carry a suitcase,

but let down your suitcase for a while. Is there

somewhere you can settle down homes ministry grow people. You know,

come to church, don't immediately run off, you know, don't

stay for lunch, join us for lunch for a while. Stay.

I know people can be very scary. You know, my

face doesn't always smile, but I promise I'm I'm actually

quite nice. Also he's full of beard, but hiding behind

it is a big smile. You know, it's a big smile,

you know. So it just the tree is when you

grow older in life, you have to learn to take chances.

That's the truth. You have to learn to take chances. Yeah,

sometimes it's a hit and myths, but you have to

learn to take chances. Okay, And so we want people

to unpack. But we can't do this all on our

own and a sometimes you know, you know, we can

do everything we can to make it hospitals as much

as we can, but it also requires on our part,

as you know, the new visitors and to also be

willing to cat because we can't make We can't force you.

Nobody can force you in my in my house as well.

I can't force my kids to do it. I hope

they learn because one day they're gonna have their own family,

They're gonna buy their own home, their own car, their

own you know, personal space as well. They need to

do that as well. And so we are not visitors,

but we are sons and daughters. And sons and daughters

take ownership of their home. Okay. So I put here

at table some of the mindsets of a renter and

an owner. Okay, so let's go through it very quickly.

So the mindset of a renter is this is not mine. Okay,

this is not mine okay. And then if an owner,

this is mine to care for. Okay. I don't know

how many of you you go to a hotel, but

you'll be very good before you leave the hotel, or

you leave the hotel extremely clean. One. How may you

do that? One? Fantastic?

You are?

You are a rare one. Okay. Most people just leave

it as it is one because you say, oh, we're

gonna have the cleaner to come and then make it

for the most we don't. I remember there was one

time before I got married, I was staying in that

Mansara Padana. I stayed in this place called Reads Padana.

It's a small studio, okay, I rented there. I remember.

Eventually when I got married, I had to hang over

the keys. So I don't know why. I don't know.

Maybe I was very energetic. I decided to clean the

house really clean before the day I clean know, I

cleaned the house so cleaning. I was like, oh everything,

why I said, this is the cleanest my room I've

ever been in, or the whole studio, really cleaning.

Ugh.

Sometimes when you clean up, but sometimes you get you

can get on the road. You know, it's like, hey,

I'm gonna do this part, so just do everything like that.

Before you know it, you spent three four hours cleaning

up everything, you know. So I clean up everything and

I hang over the key. And a week after that,

I got a call from the landlord. D you know,

I got a call from the lando. I want to say,

oh we know, Matthew, Uh, you are by far the

best what they call it rent we have ever had.

We look at it. When you hand over ask my cleaner,

my cleano. Don't know what to do you know, I

don't know what to clean it or so many They

don't hire one, they hire two because they need to

turn over father mcleano. Don't know what to do, you know,

because I literally clox everything. I was like, I don't

know aboutlean. I was so good, you know what. You

know what she said to me, I said, it's so good,

marrowed me. This is my card. I have a few

houses in Guantan, and if you ever come to me,

come and stay with us, we'll give you a very

special rate. I was like, ah, because if you in

real estate, you know, having a good tender is one

of the best things you can ever have. It's so

good that you are willing not to is prices for

a long time. You rather keep them, you know, and

not keep raising prices. One. I rather keep them because

you know that in people damage, it's cost so much

and so much headache. You know. That's why I don't

like to own properties. You know. Actually I don't own properties,

but I manage with people. I used to be in

real estate a bit as well. When you own properly,

the managing property is wanting by managing people it's another thing,

real hassle. So if you want, you know, I always

tell people you know, of course I don't be of

financial advice to some people. So you every time they say, oh,

you're just buying a property and then you rent it

out and then eventually you can cover it back. I

always tell people, think again, owning a property for rent

is like doing a business. Really it's not. It's not

as simple, you know, it's really doing a business. Course.

You to deal with the property, you do, the management,

you do the renter as well. It's like a it's

like a business, and they're so much variable. It can

really sometimes I can drive people crazy, or I have

for family members who try to treat try that model.

It drove them nuts. Man, they said, I just read

a cell with a loss redit. Then deal with it.

You know, you got so much headed. So it's a

very very important lesson you have to learn. So people

who are renting, they say this is not mine. Owner says,

this is mine. I have to care for it no

matter what. When something breaks, Uh, the renter always say,

called the owner. Hey got red infestation problem, got termite problem,

got worst problem? Call the owner. If you're the owner,

what do you do? You have to fix it a.

You know what I'm saying, not your own, but you

have to fix it together as well. Well. Suddenly we

got what what's infestation? Okay, let's work together, laha to

solve it together. Investment minimre Why improve what you don't

keep a true or not? Why improve what you don't keep? Uh?

Keyboard spoil already, speaker spoil, everything spoiled? Why border la?

But there's one and not? But if as a churchild,

you know you don't, hey, escalator out to spot spol

I give elder whole lot of problems. Say hey, how

can we don't want to know it's not doing this.

It's like because of course we can't help. That's not

that we don't want to help. But how many church

plans are we looking into? You all? How many money?

You know? How many casual outflows we are dealing with

as well. I'm not saying that we don't care, but

it always helps. Instead of my children say hey, deck,

can you solve my rumor say hey, my son started

like reorganizing the room, fixing things on his own. Wow,

taking ownership off your own things. I'm saying no, it's very,

very very important. Okay, but the owner will say, long

term improvements paid off for me and my family is

for everybody to enjoy. And then complaints no renter, very frequent,

very passive. What they mean, always complaining, But complain, don't

do anything? Why not the food not niceler? The food

to salt dealer, no flavor? La I eat? School? Can

thing taste better? You know? All this? Oh your my communion?

The breads was small one. I want a sour door bread,

you know, I want fizzy, you know, on a grape juice.

Not this. Don't complain, just enjoy. But complaints from honors

will be rare. You will learn to solve problems instead

of just reporting. It's my duty. I have the right

to report. Everybody loves reporting, you know, I love the report. Report,

and then exit easy, no costs. It is one of

the very key things, one of the key mentality of

people who read is that exit has no little costs

at all, very little cost because when you have no

cost of it, you have all the leverage, you know,

one of the biggest you know, when I learned in

you know, in negotiation and in bargaining, right when you

bargaining and leverage and then negotiating. It's about power. And

one of the most important lessons I learned is that

never enter into a negotiation or bargaining if you cannot

leave the table. Yeah, I'm saying now, the person who

cannot let go, who have no power? You know what

I'm saying. If I enter into a negotiation with anyone,

let's it with you, Eddie. If I know that you

must want this, you have very little power. And if

I enter into this negotiation, I can let go. Anytime

I can walk away. You can tell me I'm missing

the biggest opportunity. I have all the power. You know

I'm saying now, the ability to let go and to

say no. It's one of the most powerful bargaining things.

And that is where the battle is not the price,

It's about who can let go. That's the most important thing.

That's that's real leveraging that power. I'm okay to let go,

I'm okay to let lose one. That's where you when

you deal with someone like that, you're like, WHOA, what

does he really want them? You know? And that's where

the psychology actually really really happens. But for a rent,

they came in with already a fixed mindset. After two,

three days, one week, I'm not going to be staying here.

I know this is not my problem anymore. I'm gonna

go back. But an owner was saying, no, you have

built up it is costing, and you've built up equity.

Equity means you are owning power of it. Really, I

can't just leave just like that. If you're invested into

a business, if you have shares inside it, if you

have a stake inside it, you cannot just leave it

as it is. It affects you as well, you can,

I'm saying not. So you know, for whatever things that

happen to you, it affects you. Okay, there are memories,

there are relationships that are connected with it. Okay. Now,

how many of you are familiar with the story of

Mihi Maya. Yeah, no, yeah. Recently I've been doing a

sort of like a study of nied him Maya again. Osided.

You know, there's so many drama. There's a few things

happening in my life, like you know, it's not necessarily

but a few things happening there. So I really needed

wisdom from God, and God I need wisdom, I really

need strength and I need management skill. I need management skill,

you know. And then you know, I just felt led

to do a study of Ni Him Maya again, how

he responds, how he deals with, how he deals with people,

how he managed crisis, you know, and I and I

realized that In Him is such an amazing book to

do that I just want to share some things regarding

to Him Maya. And you can connect directly with the

idea of ownership, okay, in terms of building something, in

terms of managing things in your life as well. Now

you know that need maybe just a bit introduction some

of you who may not be familiar with Me Him Maya,

Me and Mayah. He is living in a unique time

where Israel is no longer that glorious okay. And they've

been in exile for a while. Okay. Being exile means

that they're normal king They actually have people taken away

from them, Okay. Their city walls are broken down, there

are snow government, the people are everywhere just astray. There's

now normal identity, government, no national identity. So they've been

there for quite quite sometime, probably about seventy years ready.

And during him last time, there was two group there

were two groups of people that actually went before him

to Israel, they tried to restore things. Okay, some people,

a group that Rebarbea, went to restore the temple. And

then one group of people actually went back to try

to restore the people as well, to give them the commandments,

the modes of the law. But then the third wave

was Niar him Maya, and so ni him Maya. You know,

he was asking from his friends who went to Jerusalem,

and said, how is Jerusalem? You know, how is the

people there? You know, we send people, we try to

rebuild it. We build the temple, we try to rebuild

the people. How are they? And he's heard that, No,

the people are living despite all these effort. They are

still suffering. They have no identity, they are persecuted, and

most importantly, they don't have a wall. You know, it's

important in your life to have walls, you know, you

know what I'm saying. No, it's important, you know, the

not the first wall, you know who? It was built by?

Who or not? The first world was built by God himself.

Where in the garden of Eden? Why you say, hey, pastor,

that thought is a garden. No, when you say it's

the word garden is not botanical garden. You know they

didn't put many in the botanical garden. What the word

garden actually means enclosure. You come saying no, the y enclosure.

Because Eden is always about boundary. You come saying no.

And your life you must understand. If you want to

have order, if you have to have peace, you must

have boundaries. God has boundaries. God teaches people boundaries. You

come saying and not. When God created none of the universe,

there was light and there was darkness. There was the

land and the seas, there's the heavens and the heavens,

there's always boundaries. When God put men in the garden,

he was not like all surrounded with just plants. Know,

there was a clear boundary where the men and live,

where there were fruitful, where there were flourishing as well,

in that enclosure. Okay. And so when God put that

man in, said there. He said that in this way,

I have put you in this enclosure where you experience

my provision. There you find your identity, your purpose, your calling,

and your stewardship as well. You come saying no. So

there is this sense of a war. So when Israel

lost their war, they lost their boundary. When people start

to treat you like you have no boundaries and they

have no boundary over your life. You're in trouble, you

see what I'm saying. Not when people treat you wearing

a sense of boundary, you get what you get threatened.

People want to punch you, people want to take from you,

steal from you, rob from you, cheat from you, lie

from you. There's crossing there, boundary. You know what I'm saying.

What I'm saying not people who say, oh, we don't

believe in boundary. No, there is a sense of boundary

because out of your boundary, we respect your dignity, is

all I'm saying. No, it's the basic right of every

human dignity that you have a boundary, that you know

why it is right and wrong. So boundaries are very important.

When Israel, they don't have lost their walls, they have

lost their boundary, and that is why they were persecuted.

You know what I'm saying. No, the people could and

without boundaries, you couldn't feel safe. That's why you buy houses,

isn't it. Do you buy houses without doors? Anybody can

just jump through there's no water. Haha, I just could. Ready,

they turned around with the food gone ready you know,

you know, when I sleep, somebody can take away my blanket.

And everybody has boundaries, and so Israel, there's no boundaries.

Everybody took advantage of them. You know what I'm saying. No,

And so Nihimaya was heartbroken. He was heart broken. Came there,

he saw everything, and he rallied the people, and he

rallied the people by telling them that God's hand is

with them. God's hand is with them. He didn't just

see I give a good speech. He actually showed evidence

that God's hand was with them. How because Nihi Maya

actually asked permission because he was actually the king's cup bearer.

You know, you know when you kick cut you know

what's a cup bearer? Cup bearer means you actually drink

the drink before the king drinks. But that's not your

only job, you know, if you the king doesn't trust

anyone else to drink the drink except those who he are,

who is very familiar. Yeah, he trusts completely. There's only one, no,

one main channel of trust and through the cup bearer,

and it trust is so much that the cut bearer

is willing to die. You're gonna say, no, I trust

you because you are willing to give your life for me. Okay,

so you drink, then I drink. So nied him. Maya's

relationship with the king was so good. And but one

of the things that Ni him Maya cannot do, or

any cup bearer could do, was that they cannot show

a sad face. Now he says that you know a

lot of you will heard that if a cut bearer

is said, they can die. But why is it they die?

Is it because he's no longer an esthetic? Ugly face?

I cannot see ugly face? No, go away, he's not

zuland okay, I cannot be surrounded by ugly things. No,

he's not that vain. Okay, no, they're kind of king.

It's not because it's not an aesthetic thing. You can

be sad because if you are said, it's sure that

your life is not complete. You are said, and when

you are sad, it portrays what it portrays what vulnerability

that they cannot target the king. But they can't target him,

and if anyone can control him, you have access to

the king. So the cup bearer is the fortressing before

the king. He is paid very well, he is groomed, bebble.

He must have no want no lack, that he cannot

be bought, that he cannot be swayed one. No, no,

he is such a privilege. You get him saying that

it is a very very important thing if anyone in

your life can be born him, be sweet. You are

very exposed, but you trust your family because you always

believe that blood is sticker there and water, isn't it.

That's how you feel safe with your family member. That's

why sometimes the family betrayal of you mostly isn't it

because you got bought? And so the cup barrel cannot

be said. And when he became sad, whenie maya was

said before the king, the king like, whoa something wrong

with you? Not a project vulnerability? His kingdom is not

being affected because now I don't know if enemy has

threatened you directly or only, but you cannot be a

liability to me. I'm saying no. And this is this

is a power dynamic here, okay. And so Nihamayah, when

he prayed for a long time, he actually managed to

explain to him said, because of my people, he has

like there's nothing no one could steal me from you,

but the only thing that could steal away my joy

Before you, okay, is my people, Jerusalem, Jerusalem. But because

Maya is so good, King doesn't want anyone else. I

rather keep you. I rather restore Jerusalem than to lose you.

Oh that's what the king man. You know, did you

understand that not ni him. Maya was such a testimony,

so good that he's like, you are set. I will

cover up your witness so that you will no longer

be a reproach. You will no longer be abiliited because

I treasure you, because without you know my kingdom. So

I will cover my winness. I will take care of

those whom I depend upon. So much so that he

got a letter for safe passage. He got timber to

build up all these things. You know, it's amazing, you know,

so you encourage you reading him Maya again. When you read,

it's like, wow, this him, my guy is really legit.

You know. There's why. There's why the king ask him.

You know how the first thing he asked on in

my how long will you be gone? How he didn't

say you go for a know, how long will you

be gone? I need you back? But I need you back,

but you settle your things so that when you come

back there is no, capt I'm saying. So a king

recognizes good people and on that there's stre when they

see you one one that's part you did okay. And

so because of that, Nihima I went you wham back rarely.

The people told them, hey, can you imagine the king.

I have such a favor with the king, and it's

all because of God. You will be off a reproach.

But now God has made away all the way from

Prosiat and you here okay, and He's given me supply

and save passage. But we cannot waste this moment. You

get what I'm saying. Now, there's a time in your

life you can be said, but there's a time in

your life when you see and you start to realize, hey,

this is an opening. This is the moment I have

to put aside my sadness, my depression, my self, pity

and everything and recognize what God is doing. Now you

have to recognize God, what God is doing, and in

your life as well. You have to recognize what is

God doing in my life? Am I seeing or am

I being blinded by my own sadness and depression? If

God is moving, I have to move. And so Nihim

I told them everybody moves and you say, sir, everybody

start to build the wall. Okay, And you know who

is everybody? It says here it's not just builders. You know,

they didn't go online to top out or PDD to

outsource contractors and not hey Joel or anyone you got

contractor no one, no contractor people all the time. We

just have to make doulah. You have never fixed this building.

We just had to call everyone of you to fix it. La.

It says that who are the builders? Priests? They say,

if you read the scriptures, are the first group of

people who were building that were the priest? You know, hey,

these people sacrifice things nor they you know, all the decorations,

but this one had to go and build war. Want

to know, no business. But they did it as well.

But they did it where they were. If you're near

the temple, you fix the way the temple is. If

it's if you're at your house, you fix where your

house is. First the world nearest to you. It says that,

you know the goldsmith people who go and you know,

imagine they going to bid war. My little finger, pressure's finger,

go and carry your hamm up. No, not doing it.

But they still do it perfumers or even better than not,

gentle finger, go and lay bricks. You know you see

that it's no one is out of place. All I

cannot do. You know everyone was doing it. Perfumers were

doing it, merchants, rulers. Rather you're rich, whether you're poor, influential,

everybody builds levites, gate keepers in my groove of women

as well, that we're doing. But if you, if you

read carefully, then him there were some one group people

I think the ticon Niser, that they didn't want to

do and their name were mentioned there. So when you

are in when God is moving and you refuse to move,

the Bible says a very clearly, then God's eyes on

you as well. It's very clear. I don't know, it's

very very clear. Remember I mentioned you cannot sock at

the end of the at the end of the bench

there because it affects everybody you want. Okay, So people

were building the world in front of their own houses.

I know you cannot build the sign, but wherever you are,

wherever you can you build. You build your house fund.

The first thing you said, you build your You settle

your houses first because you need a protect Then after

they immediately patch up the wall together. Okay. They then

you say that they work with all their hearts, and

the Bible says that they had a mind to work.

A mine came, they have a mind to work, okay.

And then after that they actually had no challenges as well,

because they were enemies, you know, very famous and tobaya

and some blad you said, some ba loud, but remember,

but it's very bad. But they were attacking. They said, oh,

when you're working, we will come around you at night

as well. And then they will say that we're told

to fight for your family and home, not just a project.

And then he says that some exploited their own people

meet rebuilt. So the Israelites they had two threads, you know,

one was from the outside, and they also had threads

from the inside. What were threats from the inside because

there was so poor. They were poor because they had

to pay taxes, very high taxes, and a lot of

them when they had to pay taxes, they actually saw

their land, They even saw their children. And there's soul.

It's not like you say, so there's Now they're put

into slavery and indecture. Now, the slavery within Israel is

a different law from the slavery outside because in most

of the time there is sort of like a slavery law.

The slavery is limited. You ought to work and at a

certain time you actually must be give provision for them

to redeem back. There is a provision for that one

so can study in liviticulous. So it's more like a serviet.

So like if you cannot own or if you're all

taxes and your children, you have to outsource your children

to work in the farm for fifteen years. At the

end of fifteen years, you know, you know, the owner

must give a chance for the serbet to not to

redeem back. So the idea the work is redeemed okay

to reading them back. But when they were selling, they

were not enough. So the people resorted to borrowing money

from the rich people. And the rich people as they

were lending to them, they charged very high interest rate,

so much so they couldn't even pay back. So it

becomes a spiral. I have to pay interests, had to

pay text they loan out more and more and more

until they have normal already. And so because of that,

a lot of people were they couldn't eat, they were

starving and they were complaining to Ni him Maya as well.

So they had problems outside and inside. Actually the inside

wanted is a lot more problem. It's a more problematic

because the outside you can tell people to come together,

but the inside is your own people. Okay. Yeah, And

then what they did is that you might actually rebuild them.

They said, what you do is actually wrong. People from

outside enslaved us, and we took so long, seventy years

to bring back our people, and now you want to

sell our own people to you. People will be laughing

at you. You know what I'm saying. You know, people

will be laughing. You work so hard to see them

from us, But now your own people and saving your

own people, I'm saying, you know, people be laughing at you.

So don't don't cause this shame. And so they they

actually repented, uh and uh and and and they forgave

the loans and everything, and they allow the people to

readeem them back. Okay, So let me draw to the

next one. Last few months. Ownership must be promoted, no assume.

I talk so much about ownership ready. The second phrase

is that it must be promoted and not assume, because

even though you know it's a good thing. Not everybody

thinks this way, naturally, not everybody. It's understandable, not that

they're evil or anything not, It's just it's just something

that we need to promote. How do we promote? You know,

we don't. It's not about advertising, you know Instagram. Not

promoting means that encouraging people and opening a way for

people to take ownership. We cannot say, hey, take ownership,

but we don't give them a pathway. You know, they

say I give my tell my children, hey can you

take more ownership and responsibility of the house, But I

don't give them a chance. You get what I'm saying.

I have to, as a parent create an environment in

my family where I always encourage my children to take

up ownership very specifically. It's not just high, but very

specific way of doing it. And we cannot blame people

for lack of ownership if we never invited them in. Okay,

now I got a picture here, the next one, ah,

this one, okay, so that's my daughter. So uh, you know,

we actually had to build a bithday care. I remember,

I just took a picture to show you guys, you know,

just a picture where I to build a birthday cake.

And we actually remember one of the cakes that my

daughter and she's probably like eight years old, probably the yeah,

a we had to build a layer cake and one

of the things that instead of buying a cake, get

you to build it. They built one layer, another layer,

and then they put the icy they brew the sprinkle.

I can tell you they had so much enjoyment. I'm

not saying just saying, hey, let's do a cake. Really

really had to let them do it. But it costs

me a lot of things that very messy. Look at

them smiling. I was like, and it's colorful. All the

table was like, oh the color I've seen coloring don't

know where from there to my sofa coloring when but

it involves people, but they smile, it's not it's like this.

And then I remember there was one time, you know,

well I think it was COVID time. I think this

make donuts. Uh it cost me. Yes, after that, all

the flowers on the floor. You know, they very messy,

you know that, But there has so much fun. But

you always say, hey, let's do something, let's clean up something,

let's build something. But you must them a way to

involve and the thing is sometimes one of The biggest

struggle that we have in encouraging people to party, you know,

is competence. You know what I'm saying. Competence, the ability,

the competence, the wisdom. We know that they're lack. You know, hey,

go and serve and worship team. But I just started

learning guitar, you know. But okay, then do you have

a way to train them, you know what I'm saying. No,

I remember my first time when I was playing, uh,

you know, in worship team. Either that cups. I sounded bad,

so bad, you know, you know, I said, you know,

I always tell the pas you know, peace, put me

on the milt, you know. I pretend I sing by

don't song sing, you know. And it's one time I

was playing guitar and I was like, okay, I don't

back up singing. I don't think my voice that goes.

Then I started to play guitar and the first time

I was like, wow, crowd playing, you know, I was

someone had to do the intro and no, no, no,

no player. I don't know why everybody didn't play. I

look at the guitar, I look at everybody, look at me.

How come didn't play? Then then after that then they

look at me or shot and they started playing yes,

how can they sound different? And I realized my guitar

was on the couple. You know, I was playing a

different key. I was like. Everybody was like, why are

you playing the wrong key? You know? Oh my goodness,

I tell you experience like they are stay for a

long time when it's stay for a longer until now

I still remember or not, But these are things that

make you better. You learn, you learn, you know. Then

my daughter was asked to worship live in the class

and she's like, oh, I made so many mistakes. I said,

welcome to learning. We come welcome. I know it's painful.

It's painful, but I said what she didn't it's not

about you know, And then she didn't. Actually a lot

of one of the big bigger struggles is to overcome

your your focus on yourself so much and your failures,

your perfection and it'll all go through it by You

have to learn to pick yourself up. Then now the

second you did, oh, I realized I made some mistake.

But it's okay. Everybody's to get the worship good. You

learn the lesson. It's not you have to rise above

your mistakes. You get me. You have to rise above

your mistakes and learn everything. So that is how we

teach competence what they call it toughness with people, involving

them step by step. We have to be wise. We

gotta as a church, we've gotta be know how to

do that as well as we give them an opportunity.

We also require accountability as well. You know what I'm

saying not the same. So if I want to serve,

and say I want to serve in a worship team,

I have to give accountability as well. I cannot expect

everybody to carry me. I have to practice. I have

to make sure that I'm not just hey, show up

to play guitar, and I don't go for any church service.

I stand outside there and then I just play with

my phone. You know. I only show up when there's

only worship. I don't go to any of their cell groups.

I don't go anything. I'm just a guy that's been outsourced.

Yeah we're not. You're none of us here. You're serving here.

You're not just outsourced. You know, you're part of a community. Okay.

Your hand follows your head, your head follows your feet together, Okay,

so it's it's it's both ways. Well, we require we give,

we train people, we involve people, we give opportunities for people.

But at the same way, we require the partners to

do the same as well, to give an accountability, to belong,

to join, to share together as well. Okay, and then lastly,

everyone a partner, not just a member. You know, we

do not outsource church life or stand on the sidelines. Okay,

we do not outsource this part, outsource this part. Now

this everybody loves to outsource. You know why not because

we love to outsource the AI. Now this isn't AI.

AI outsourced AI. You know what happens, you know, earthquake AI.

What do I do right now? You know, you know

people ask me for lunch. What should I say? Should

I go for lunch? Right now? You know? Everything is AHI.

We outsourced. No. But the I put a chart here,

you know, on this one call norm movement. Now it

says that I wish I could outsource my exercise. There's

some things you can outsource, you know, I wish I

could outsource my exercise, and then I read the benefit.

But it doesn't work that way. Okay, it doesn't work

that way. We take ownership and responsibility, and together we
