Just Jesus | Pr Sandra Chin

will light up your team. I entitled this morning's message just Jesus. All

right, jas Jesus. Many many years ago when before we started ex church.

If you don't know that, Passer and I founded UM really one of

very few Malaysian youth organization called Asian Youth Ambassadors. You hear this word all

the time, aya, Aya. So that's twenty eight years ago that we

started it, and and we reached out to a lot of young people throughout

Malaysia in a in a span of five years, we had the opportunity to

reach three thousand young people across the nation who gave their lives to the Lord

and prayfully that they would be serving the Lord. We did not have a

church then. We were basically moving itineran speaking um. But one of them

movements that we started, one of the things that we did every Friday night.

Okay, you have to be young to do this lot, every right,

I don't know how I want. I heard every Friday night. I

at that time I was in my thirties. I like serious, Oh my

Friday night, God, you know, like everybody night, My husband you

really true. But every Friday night for a season of our aya life,

um we ran um. I don't know how to say the word um like

conserla okay, called just Jesus all right in our little SS fifteen shop lot,

our youth center, and we had a little stage and we had this

world go just Jesus back in about year two thousand or nineteen ninety nine,

two thousand, maybe two thousand and one somewhere but Earliday and something not born

right okay, uh and uh and uh and we would just have because there

were so many young people that had a lot of talent but not accepted in

church with the music that they played, with their long hair and their earrings,

you know, but they were children of God, Jason all right.

Young you know, there were a lot of campus students who were Christians,

but they were not The music that they played was not accepted in their churches,

and so then they become a bit you know, this disconnected with the

church. But we were right in front of Taylor's College then as fifteen uh

Inty College and Metropolitan College that time back then, so oh it doesn't exist

anymore. Inty took over ready now not all university status and so, you

know, so we had all these students and then and then these students,

many also were Christian, but not going to church because they felt that their

pastor wasn't accepting their music. And so Pastor then Um then had this this

mini concerts every Friday night where we would invite bands to come play. We

had our own band, Ay band, and we would you know, I

don't know, I don't know whether Albert had joined that time, not yet

I think not yet. So you you're younger than that, okay, I

am ancient, okay. So so we had these bands coming up and young

people would come with their bands from different churches, even even from different churches,

they would come. They wrote their own music or they played other people's

music. We had bands coming in from Singapore, We had teams from New

Zealand, you know, different people. Whenever they come to Malaysia, the

first thing that they would hear about Aya and they just want to be part

of just Jesus. So if you as long as you believe in Jesus,

you're welcome. And so we had Catholics coming, you know, different ones,

Anglican background, Methodism or whatever. They were just Jesus. They just

wanted Jesus and they would sing about Jesus. It's a weird kind of music,

like all. Like we had one group called Necromanicide. The guy Andre

actually comes our church. You be only eighteen nineteen. His hair was long,

and and then he had and they had their band and he was seeing

from my husband, it's very possible. No, I can't blame my music

in church. And nobody likes my music. Do you know why I nobody

liked the music because it's how they sing. I can't even sing the way

he sings the past of course this is the morning right. And but basically

the word necromani side means death to twitches, death twitches, so it's called

necromanic side. And and so Andre and his band would come and sing like

the head. And so when he said from a past, said I don't

like your music, but I like you, so you can play on out,

you know, come and play for juz Jesus. And so they were

playing and they had a place to express their worship their music because because you

believe, it's Jesus, just Jesus. And that's how we reached out to

a lot of young people. I mean some of them already adults your age

or forties now, and they come up to us and say, do you

remember I remember I was in Taylors And then you know, we never see

them again, but now their moms and dads and they're telling us what to

do then. So it was an amazing time every Friday. I really for

a while, I thought, how long is this? I don't know why

I can last every Friday night? Because my husband's like just radical, right,

just these things that Suny said, Okay, we're gonna do this.

Okay, we'll do it, and we went on for us some months.

I think I don't know how for how long Friday nights? Um, you

know, we had young people who liked those type of music and they would

come from sixty five of our nation and we would pack up this small this

small little shop lot, running over shaken together around. They're just standing on

the staircase stand the window opened, their hanging out from the window. Don't

nobody fall out the window? Right? We just packed up as fifteen shop

lot, dead floor and they would come. We would preach the message we

um, you know, share Jesus have them saying now my voice is painful

now my throat because I don't want to die, and they would just come

all kinds of bands. I mean, I hope they're still following Jesus.

I don't know if we've, you know, moved on so many years,

but it's an important message for us to remember everything we do, what we

believe, how we live out it has to be Jesus, just Jesus.

There's this person called Fanny Crosby. I can't remember which song she wrote.

It's either what is it? What a friend we have in Jesus? What

the hymns Fanny Crosby? We sing her hymns. I don't know if anyone

remembers the hymn that she sing that she wrote. But she was talking to

somebody one day and this man said, you know, I wish I had

all the money in the world so that I could do everything that I wanted

to do with the money that I would have. And then she told him,

you can have the world, but just give me Jesus. And she

wrote a song given, and then they started. She and some other people

wrote a song called give Me Jesus. And that's what we want to be

reminded again. We need to have Jesus, because we can actually take Jesus

out of the Christian that we are. We're so busy with Christianity, we

can take Christ out of our lives. That can be a danger. We

have the form, but we deny the power. And that's what Paul says.

We can have the form of Christianity, but we deny the power.

Come on, I think we want to encourage each other and say, just

Jesus, just Jesus, everything Jesus. I think past it. One time

he had a message, just Jesus, everything Jesus. This one Jesus.

And then you know why we thinking possible law. But as I think about

this many times we forget our vision is on who has to be Jesus?

Amen, hallelujah. You know um, you know when we talk about prayer,

Oh we love some people just love prayer. Come for prayer, come

for for usting prayer. And the question is I hope you love the one

who answers our prayer, not just get caught up with intersession and prayer,

press, prayer, everything about prayer. And it's great prayer, it's great.

But I hope we love not the prayer, but the one who answers

our prayer. Jesus again. Amen. Some of us love missions evangelism,

where we are out there and the mission feel talk about missions, have grown

up in missions, went to the field, and I hope sometimes I'm not

just about the missions more than the one who sent me that it would just

be Jesus. Amen. Sometimes I talk about what we do. You know

we love? Come on, young people. We like Exstein's life. We

like Extein's life so much. I m ask you, do you love Jesus?

Come on? Because if you take away that, can you still love

Jesus? That is my question? If I take away every sound? Come

on, can you still love Jesus? Worship? Do you love worship?

Yes? We love worship. We have it all together. If I take

away all the instruments, would you still love Jesus? So important to know

where we're at to declutter sometimes what we think is the picture, which is

the truth. No, the truth is Jesus. Be reminded again again we

only have to have and need Jesus as a reminder to me as well.

Do I just love the whole idea of worship? It's like you know how

people say, I just I just give me a boyfriend. I just want

somebody to love. My question is do you actually want the boyfriend to love

or you just love love so that you can celebrate Valentine's Day? Do you

love love or do you actually love the other person? Because when you love

the other person, it's sacrifice. Yeah, it ain't. It's no sacrifice,

right if you love somebody, Okay, but it's sacrifice. So sometimes

we say, like, I really want to have a boy I want a

relationship. My question, are you into the relationship or are you into Jesus?

I think we need to, you know, align ourselves. We got

to. We want to be into Jesus, not into just the work itself.

I'm full time ministry. I love what I do. I have to

ask myself. Take away my full time ministry, take away my position,

take away whatever I do. Will I still be into Jesus? Because if

I use this as my security, this is my work now, I'm no

longer in corporate worst, corporate done or that? Because our status who we

are? I've asked myself so many times, Ay, if all of that

is taken away, take away your your title, your response, just can

I still be into Jesus? I have to honestly answer that I can I

still love Jesus and serve Jesus without all the accolades. We have to ask

ourselves this because it really is about Jesus. Amen, hallelujah. So many

things people seek and run after the prophecies, the healing question. Are we

into the one who gives us the prophetic word, the one who touches us

to heal us. Don't chase the healing, chase the healer. Amen,

because when you have the healer, you have everything. I wish you Jesus,

and I wish you everything. There's this old song, I don't know

how old we are, where when I wish you Jesus, I wish you

everything, and when you have the Lord, you really have everything. And

in as as we grow in this age and time, you know, you

know, life gets busy with things. Even in the church. It can

be just cluttered with things that we must have, nice to have, But

is it the most important? So we say nice to have, but don't

have to if it took out everything else. Could we still love Jesus?

Could we still worship him with one guitar and a couple and just worship?

Or must we have the lights the sound again? Just Jesus, like Fanny

Crosby, just give me Jesus, Amen, can or not? Can't?

We have to We have to keep coming back to that. I want to

just run us through some scripture before I bring us a few points and close

our service, just to bring us center or to ourselves, come back to

the center of why we do what we do, why we believe what we

believe, and that it will always be because of Jesus. Seriously, we

have to ask ourselves that, um I mean, I mean in worship ministry

for so many years, love love, I think we worked four runners a

four runners in leading worship young people. We did concerts, any platform,

friends, we took it, stadiums, hotels, everything, question take it

away? Will I still serve Jesus? A lot of you may not have

been with us from the start, but we've done radical stuff. But you

know there's some thinking, we're gonna read this says does it really matter at

the end? What is it all about? First scripture. I'll come back

to the scripture. I just want to read through to us to just affirm

again just Jesus Amen, first verse first Corinthians, Chapter two and verse two.

You can take them down, take turn to your bibles. You can

look at the screen. Thank you again, Vincent for helping me with this,

with all our slides. You know, this is what Paul. I'm

right. I'm taking scripture from Paul as he writes to the churches. He

says, yeah, I'm just taking position of the scripture, for I determine

not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified and KJV.

What does the passion translation say, For while I was with you in the

Church of Kren, I was determined to be consumed with only one topic.

And what's that topic? Jesus the Crucified Messiah. That's what he wanted.

He didn't want to tell all the other older miracles are healing. The power

he want. The power already is Jesus. But if you just chase the

power, then you forget the one who gives the power. And he says,

I'm determined that you know, I want to make known or to be

consumed one topic, Jesus the Crucified Messiah. Amen, hallelujah. Moving on

a Hebrews chapter twelve, running with you these scriptures. Oh, you know

this one very well. You know where where Hebrews writes, looking unto Jesus,

the author and finisher of our faith. That's n KJV and n i

v UK says, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfector of

our faith? Who are we looking at to finish the race? Who are

we looking at to? You know, to grow our faith? Right?

Because the pioneer and perfect of our faith, Jesus, Jesus. Fix your

eyes on Jesus, Amen, hallelujah. Philippians Chapter three and verse eight,

and KJV version says, you know this as well. You know it's Paul

says, Yet I yet, indeed, I also hound all things lost for

the excellence of the knowledge of Christ, Jesus my Lord. All things I

count loss. In the ESB English Standard version says, indeed I count everything

is lost because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ. Jesus my Lord.

Amen, hallelujah. All things lost because I want Jesus give me Jesus.

Amen. It's just a hard cry of all of us. I speak to

myself as well, Will I just say to the Lord, it's only you

Jesus, Amen. And my verse as I give you four verses and have

four points. Later Galatians chapter two, verse twenty. You know this verse,

We've sung it before. I'm meditate on this and I cry because I

cannot fulfill. Sometimes I have been crucified with Christ. Come on, if

you have said yes to Jesus, I have been crucified with Christ. It

is no longer I who live, Amen, but Christ lives in me.

And the life which I now live I live by faith, Amen, by

faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.

Come on, church. The church is established on the very life of Jesus.

Amen. It is really Jesus his church. So if you say I

love going to church, I want to ask, Great, we all going

to church. But I want to say, do you love the one who

laid his life down for the church. He loves his church. We not

church, not just one church, but God loves his church. Every church

is precious because he's lady's life down. Not only for X. He loved

ladies night down for the church behind us, in front of us, next

to us. Amen, his church. Then do we love the Jesus who

gave us the church? Amen? Hallelujah. So I want to bring us

three or four points today for us to help us. Remember when we think

about our own work with Jesus, what what are what becomes your focus?

All right? So number one the four seas today four seas I mean,

if you don't see it match because I couldn't find all the correct words.

Okay, the first sea is consumed, consumed, and that ties in with

First Corintians Chapter two, verse two consumed um. You know First Corintians two

two in the Passion translation, like the way the Passion writes, it is

just for I. For a while I was with you with the church in

Krin paulses, I was determined to be consumed with only one topic, Jesus,

the crucified Messiah. Amen, are we consumed with Jesus? What are

you consumed with? Every day? When you wake up? When you sleep?

I ask what am I consumed with Jesus? Am I consumed with his

word, with his life? And then there's an overflow out of the what

I consume? Because what we consume consumption will come out, right, So

what are we consuming? Physically? You consume food? Food will come out

okay, or something else comes out loud? Okay? All the you know

digested? Really, but you know, what do you consume because then you

live it. The music you consume, that's what you're going to be singing.

Um. You know, the people you consume with, you hang out

with, is what you're going to also produce. Right, it affects us.

So what am I consuming? What am I talking about? Paulses I

am so determined to be consumed with only one topic. And I want to

tell you about Jesus. About Jesus, I cannot talk about anything else.

I just want you to know Jesus Christ crucified. Amen. So something to

think about as we do life daily. No, none of all of us

are working progress. All of us are growing out of faith and learning about

you know how much God loves us and what are his plans his purpose for

us? So my question, what are you consume with? It doesn't matter

whether we're younger or older. We can be consumed. They are good things

to be consumed with. But would you make Jesus the main menu of the

day the main menu of the day. Yeah, Sometimes our children becomes what

we're consumed with, and then Jesus second. Sometimes we wake up and you

know, I wake up, I wake up and I'm like ready for work.

But it is that consuming me. That's what I keep think taking instead

of coming to the one who gave me my calling. And so first thing

in the morning, quiet time with Jesus before we move on. But sometimes

we're consumed by our work, so much to do, so much to accomplish.

But maybe perhaps maybe we determine our heartstand one thing we want to consume

is that one topic in our hearts Number one, Jesus and then Jesus.

Easier said than done. But this is a reminder for us. Like Paul

said, I'm determined. I'm determined. Would you be determined to allow Jesus

to be the main menu for your heart, for your life? Because he

is everything? Take everything away, Church, take everything away? Will you

stand for Jesus? This is why we have church. We remind each other,

we do homes. We remind each other because the day will come when

your best friend is not going to be there, my husband's not going to

be there for me, I have to stand on my own faith. Will

it still be Jesus? Amen? So I want us to dig into that.

What are we consumed with? So so good to remind ourselves? Amen?

Hallelujah. So let's make Jesus the main menu of the day, and

out of that, once we put him at the center main menu, then

let everything else flow from our lives. So important to say to ourselves it

has to be Jesus and not something else, because like Fanny Crosby said,

to that man, you want money, you want this, Take the world,

take the world, but just give me Jesus. To the world to

believe in Jesus, it's a foolish thing to the world. But to those

of us who are being saved, is really the power of God. To

those of us who are being saved, Jesus is the power of God.

Amen, hallelujah. Second point for us is captivated. I couldn't think of

another word, are you okay? The worse is he Brews twelve two,

which is which? Which? Which reads right? And looking unto Jesus,

the author and finish of our faith. You know he went all the way,

you know, for the shame he stood for us. He went all

the way for us, and now he seated at the right hand of the

throne of God. So he Brews twelve two. I like the version from

n. I V. Which is fixing our eyes on Jesus, fixing so

I use the word captivated. Right when you're captivated by the beauty of somebody,

who are your eyes are? Cannot take your eye can't take my eyes

off you? All right? All right? You just so captivated when somebody

walks in and he's like gorgeous and you're like your eyes girls, boys captain,

So fixing your eyes on Jesus? Who is the author, who is

the pioneer, who is the perfector of our faith? Where are our eyes

fixed on? Who are we fixing our eyes on? Are we fixing our

eyes on Bishop? Bishop? Are we fixing somebody's name is bishop? Okay?

Are we fixing our eyes or? Mom? Are we fixing our eyes

on a building? Are we fixing our eyes on our pasta? Or fixing

our eyes on? You know? Our friends are fixing my eyes Hopefully you

are the pioneer and finishing of my faith. No, because we have to

be captivated by the beauty and the love of Jesus and know that he is

the author and finisher of our faith, he who began the faith in us

when we've said yes, he is also faithful to complete that work with us.

He's gonna, you know, perfect our faith. But we have to

be looking to him. La. But if we're looking at you know,

some girls say, you know, and I want to marry I want to

marry a man that can lead me. I said that law because all the

boys said it could not lead. Just I'm leading them the boys. That's

why they're boys, boys to men. All right, So so man cannachin,

Oh my word, every day is ready cool? Every day is you

know, adventure? Lead me boy? All right, there you go,

so don't complain when you say, just Jesus every Friday you wanted a man

to lead you there, so you know they say, oh, will lead

me. But honestly, are your eyes ficks on the husband to lead you

or your eyes flicks on the Jesus they gave you your husband? Ah mm

hmm, all right? Who who am my eyes captivated? Who am I

captivated by? Yeah? Someone, some young girl told us grew up in

juge everything, And now it's a painful thrust in my heart to say that

after everything, her dream is what I mean. So I hope people's dreams

are really don't know. My dream is to go to Korea and marry a

Korean man. What is this with Korea? Nobody, nobody but you not

you confession. You know, what's your goal? After being raised in the

House of God, have the chance to serve, really love the law,

but still have a goal to say, die, die, I have to

marry a Korean guy? Did I die? I have to go to Korea?

I want to go to what international missions? Okay? All right,

international missions? Judge blunting Korean is quite rich love, Okay. I don't

know what is captivated in your heart today, What captivates you, What what

causes you to really fix your eyes on that? You say, you know,

keep keep me going. But in the business of life, and life

happens, and we do. We work, we get married, we get

into trouble, we have challengers, storms, whatever. But what's gonna keep

my eyes focused has to be Jesus, not on the storm, because some

of us look at the storm and then we're we're sucking into the storm.

Oh man, go right, we're looking at this tornado coming, which happened

just recently to Reverend Coop who was in Dallas. I was just talking to

him, and you say, I don't know why you just because I ask

him dead? How can I pray for your dead? Cool to us?

He adopted us there, it says, I don't know why you're writing to

me. I'm telling you, the tornado was just coming against us like this,

and then suddenly it turned. Because how can I pray for you?

And the tornado turned? I'm like, no way, Dallas doesn't have tornadoes,

is it. You're not even in the Midwest. But the tornado can

come on if they keep looking at the tornado. And I'm gonna have eaten

up by the tornado. If you look at your storm, the storm is

gonna eat you. We look at your exam. Not yet take already you

say fail. Wait, so we have to fix our eyes on Jesus,

who is a perfector who is the one who Yes, it's not how much

you study only, it's also who your eyes are on. Because when your

eyes are on the one who started it and you're gonna finish it for us,

then peace were read, not tornado. Amen, hallelujah. I would

know because I'm not a I'm not an a student. But fix your eyes

on Jesus. You become a student. Come on, hallelujah. So first

they consume where you consume by what you what's that main menu on your life?

Jesus Christ crucified for us. Amen. Two, are we captivated?

Where are my eyes on? Where my eye? You know, let it

be on Jesus. Every day, fix your eye on Jesus, and let

Jesus be the author, the one who starts your faith in the finisher.

I always pray this for us every time you hear me. If you hear

me enough praying, I always say, Lord, looking unto Jesus, the

author and finish of our faith. Lord, help us, help us Jesus

so that we can run this race well and finish it well. But only

can do this if we look at the focus, which is Jesus finishing line.

Those of us who are in doing our track and feel, you have

to keep your eyes on the finishing line. Otherwise you'll go somewhere else.

You take the wrong track, You're gone all you're four by hundred. Wherever

you know relays you have to focus or where you're heading. We are heaven

bound. Jesus is our focus, captivated by him and him alone. Amen.

And then third point cost cost Okay, I couldn't think of other words.

I used cost us. Sorry, all right? This is Philippines,

chapter three, verse eight. Philippines three, verse eight and I am gonna

take the ESB version, which is, indeed I count everything is lost because

of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Yes, cost cost

or notcast cost ceo st cost cost noodcast cast Ian you knock your head,

don't don't okay noodcast but got sorry? Wrong word? Cost um the cost?

How you know there is a cost to it um In Philippians, Paul

writes saying that indeed, I count everything calculate the cost verse as lost because

of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my lord. What why did it?

Paust said, I didn't even read further on because you read further on

users orse, I account it all but dung dung pooh. So all is

accolades all who was the pharisee of pharisees who studied at the highest university.

He's like, he's so great, right, he says, I count it

all but down because I take hold of Jesus. I just I counted all

loss for this surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus. So on on on earth

when we walk on earth. H you know somebody was saying, um,

you know, we just collect our trophies. We collect accolades. Um sometimes

you compare passes. You know, my mama jokes, get those who m

mama jokes, and my mama better than your mama, the kind of thing,

right, So there's our then go like, my past better than your

past. So the kids, the little ones, our ex kids, they

were and told them, but they had they had according it did their friend

and mom. The grandma, grandma goes to Bandautama and the grandchildren come to

get kid. And so the granddaughter told the grandma, my past is past

again, you know. And then grandma says, my Guardiana is fastest you

went. Then she said, my grandma, pasta is better than yours.

You know, you collect accolades, you collect you know, titles. But

here Paul says, I count everything as lost. So what we ever we've

done it was yesterday, Today is new. Today has new goals to reach

for. It gives us a track record when you do it well, yesterday,

yesterday, goodbye today afresh. We have to we have to be so

secure. If we look at Jesus, I don't think any of us will

follow him, you know. So it was kind of amazingly when he went

up to James and John and said follow me. Then if you and I

were there and we look at Jesus, he looked nothing like Daniel John.

He don't even look like you Garnish, because it's written that he was of

no comeliness. He was not good looking, He was not like famous.

He was not someone that you wanted to captivate by be captivated by. He

was so common. Jesus looked like any other Middle Eastern not tall, not

the best looker. He did. He didn't know like some Spanish Eduardo.

Okay, all right, he didn't at all like okay, nothing that would

as fifty three says, nothing that would attract us to him. But yet

and he said to James and John and Peter, you know, come follow

me, LEVI follow me. What made them follow him? If we were

if Jesus here today, we might not follow him because he never wrote one

book. Kenned Jean wrote one, two three books Club. Jesus didn't write

any book. He didn't even have a name for his movement. They all

just call it the Way, the Way, right. He didn't even call

it. He didn't call them Christian. No. No. In the early

Church, they didn't have Christianity or Christian But the way ext Chapter nineteen x

chapter seven. The way it was only in uh in next chapter eleven that

the Christians in Antioch, which was in Syria, something about them that they

get. They were, like you Christian. That's when the word Christian,

Christ little Christ. That's how the word Christian came about. But Jesus never

gave his name nothing, not a ya ya, So don't have he just

he just went viral. He had his TikTok and he he went viral like

people just wanted to follow him. But Jesus did not collect eccolades. In

fact, people didn't even I mean, yeah, the healer, he healed

me, but at the end everybody rejected him. Um, if we if

we can look at Jesus and then we remind ourselves what made Jesus Jesus?

And I why do I follow Christ? Because at the end of the day,

you know, these are things I think about as I grow in my

faith. After why am I a Christian right just to say the right things?

No, I am to follow Christ. I am to be more like

Jesus. And I feel like I'm not near very much as like Jesus.

We got to work on those things, kindness and compassion and you know,

mercy whatever, whoever Jesus, the very character of Christ is who we want

to become. And so Paul says, I count all these things as lost.

We might have this church or how many plans. We're not here to

calculate and count what we have. All your pastes on you version video every

morning, so right, you turn on your you version and you get all

these Sometimes you get these Singaporean passages which used to be next Singapore passes going

like then somebody says, there, no, he's just a donkey, right,

Jesus rot on a donkey and the donkey right, So no, donkeys

don't get first front page splash. Jesus was not on the front page.

He made it to the front page when he went on the cross, but

that was also a shame shame food thing. So Paul, then, who's

following Christ? He says, you know what, if I can have Jesus,

I have everything. So all these accolades, all these things is for

nothing. We gotta come to that place where we have to say it doesn't

matter whether for speaker, it doesn't matter if you ever say thank you for

the message, great word. I cannot get upset and go like nobody loves

me, everybody hates me. I'm gonna eat some wooms. Yeah. So

if nobody ever says good word, I just have to know we preached God's

word. That's done and prayer, Holy Spirit, take that word and move

in people's lives. It's not us, it's always Jesus. So friends,

you and I we walk every day the cost the cost have we countered that

costs the costs of following Christ, the cause of living for him, the

couse of letting go. Sometimes you say you paid so much money already.

You know, moms and dads, you pay so much money for your children's

education, university, and suddenly or sun comes and tell you dead. I'll

be a rock singer. Hey, Pa, Pa paid all these money,

more study engineering, you and me rock sing I will rock you now.

So it's like you're wasting it, You're wasting your You're all these you know

why. But Paul says, I counted all loss because I want to follow

Jesus. I want to really have everything. He says, I, I

all of these are like Dawn, all the accolades, all the all the

trophies, because the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus as my Lord. Sometimes

we can forget that it's Jesus and we think it's us, but it's never

us. It's Jesus all the time. The cost of letting go. Sometimes

we have to let go. Oh, you studied so well. Now you

want to be past the study. We passed the world, no morney or

not right, our fathers past, you know, past the Lord. Really

genuine no Ah, because real pastors who really do the world. Really the

judges are not being they just because it's just Jesus. They still do it.

After the pandemic, a lot of judges whose pastors are very old and

couldn't do online. They couldn't they couldn't run their churches anymore. And it's

the ship that's so evil. They just leave the church. The church is

the clothes. Well, the pastors continue to serve, but they can't.

They come to us. You know, when we talk together and we say

how can we support how can we take over churches without and we say we

can be a Baptist. We're okay, we don't mind support thing us.

It's not about the name. We've talked about this among us as past us,

and that time will come one day. I don't know when people are

ready because they're big denominations. But I just ask you, friends, what

are you living for? And what matters? For Paul, he was really

God is saying, not what my flesh is saying. Because if the dead

So you cannot answer back and scold the person. So you can't go

around proving yourself because you did. You did. But it's a hard lesson

being reminded time and again. And there was this song that those days say.

it's no longer either live. But in me, no, I couldn't sing

because I was still a lord of my life. I was leading my own

life, not surrendered. I found it hard to sing that song. Can't

remember which try, But it's something like this. And then as you grow

in your faith, you you realize we are called to follow Christ. So

when you follow someone, you want to be like that person. And I

got to learn to be like Jesus a little bit, little bit, a

little bit little bit, because he's the author finisher of my faith. So,

friends, if you're going to successfully well get through your faith until you

see Jesus, we have to declare that I have been crucified with Christ.

willing to let go of the things that stop me from actually knowing Christ more.

It could be fear, even fear of the future. It could be

fear of not achieving whatever everybody else's status. Am I willing to abandon,

let go and know Christ? And in knowing Christ, I get to trust

God for the path that he has for me. Amen, That's a question

we have to ask ourselves, because like Fanny Crosby, she says, take

the world, you can have it, but give me Jesus. And sometimes

Jesus gets lost in the fancy stuff we do. We forget why we do

what we do. Why I even I'm on the worship band. Why am

I here doing what I'm doing? Not because there is a roster, but

because of Jesus. I just do it because I love doing it. So

people can say to me, Sandra, your life is so busy. My

mother says this to me every day. Your life is so busy. And

I said to her, when I said yes to Jesus, I gave my

whole life to him. And then I remind her, sometimes you dedicated me.

You dedicated me to Jesus to serve him. Now you can't take it

back. No, no, no no. So I'm busy with what God

will open laws for me to do. Whether I have traveled, like in

haven't had a break, we haven't had arrest since whatever that's been happening since

nice to have, but is it really eternal? Is it gonna make your

life, make you better, make you taller, make you stronger. It

might not make you stronger, taller, but our challenges, our difficulties in

life, those things make us stronger when we walk through those mountains Because God

brings us through, sometimes over it, sometimes through it. Sometimes we go

to the fire. Sometimes he carries us through it. Othertimes we say truler

with him. What would you be ready? What would you be willing Church

to release to Jesus to have more of him and for him to have more

of you, a man less of me, more of you, Jesus.

My fears, my dreams, things that you know. Sometimes those dreams are

based on what other people have achieved, when God already has wonderful plans for

you to achieve to do because He's going to bring you through the destiny in

your life. Amen. And again, it doesn't mean we'll all be popular,

we'll all be on social media. That's even not the truth I gave

me smiling. But I could be a very broken person, not filled with

Jesus, or trying to compete just to make it to my social media account

for the day, how many likes I'm gonna get. It's crazy to live

like that. Just Jesus, would you say, just Jesus, Just give

me Jesus and that's what I need, only Jesus, and he will be
