Peace in the Storm | Pr Kenneth Chin

You're listening to a message to go from as church. We hope this message

will light up your day. Mark chapter four and verses thirty seven to forty

one. This is the word of the Lord, let's read it. And

a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that

it was already filling. But he was in the stern. Jesus was in

the stern, asleep on a pillow, and they woke him and said to

him, teacher, do you not care that we are perishing? Then Jesus

arose and rebuilt the wind. He rebuilt the wind and said to the sea,

peace be still. And the wind sees and there was great calm.

But he said to them, why are you so fearful? How is it

that you have no faith? And they feared exceedingly and sit to one another.

Who can this be that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Today? I want to speak to you from this very portion of scripture about

the storm, about the sleep, about the stirring, and about success.

So let's break down this verse now and see what the Lord wants to say

to us. My first thought for this morning is why do storms happen in

our lives because all of us will definitely encounter storms. One thing I think

if I prophesy and will definitely come true, is that all of us will

go through storms. Storms are a very real thing, a very natural thing,

and it is something that the Bible says will definitely happen in our lives.

Sometimes it's called persecution, sometimes it's just called hardship, but storms will

come. Infact, someone said before, you are either entering a storm,

or you are in a storm already, or you are coming out of one.

But storms are real, and all all of us have them in our

lives, not just once, not just twice, but quite frequently, almost

every year. You're guaranteed one, you know. And it is not about

the storm. Therefore, it is how we respond to storms. So the

question I have today that I believe is from the Lord, is this,

why do storms happen? Okay, this is a good question, and I

think I have a god answer for you. So here at the last part

of the reading that we just read, the Bible says the disciples in the

boat said this. They feared exceeding lee and said to one another, who

can this be? Who are they talking about? Jesus? Who can this

be that even the wind and the sea obey him. Now, wait a

minute, wait a minute. I thought that these disciples have already been walking

with Jesus for a few months, if not a few years. Well altogether

it was probably three two and a half years and they walked, so maybe

one year two years. They've been walking with Jesus, just like you have

been walking with Jesus. Some of you have been Christian here for ten years,

fifteen years, twenty years, and we have walked with the Lord.

We have experienced God, and we have seen him to be lord of areas

in our lives, and we declare his lordship, and we are praising him

for who he is. And yet these disciples could be so surprised when the

winds stopped and the waves were calm, they had to ask this question,

who can this be? But I thought they already knew that Jesus is Lord

and He's God. So why do you think this question was asked? And

why did they continue to say, who can this be that even the wind

and sea obey him? Well, let me give you this thought. They

were shocked. They were surprised. They were asking this question because they never

in the last few months or few one two years of walking with the Lord,

they have never seen him actually calming the storm, stopping the wind and

giving peace to the sea. They have never seen that part of the Lord.

So can I just give you the reason why storms happened in our lives?

It happens to show us that Jesus is lord of that situation. He's

as simple as that, because some of us who have been healed by him

can actually confidently say he's the Lord of healing. But maybe we have never

suffered from the stock market. So some of you who have suffered from the

stock market don't know that he's also the Lord of the stock market until you

go in you lose all that money or you got scam, and then you

cry out, Lord, help me, and he does help you, and

you realize, who can this be? He's even a lord of the stock

market. Yes, and he's also Lord of education. And those of you

who have studied, uh, and and and and and face with an exam,

a very important exam. It could be uh, you know, a

university exam, it could be a school exam, it could be a professional

exam. You know, I know I have many friends who have to do

accounting exams and it's really difficult or law exams. Uh. Here in Malaysia

we call it CLP. I had to do my CLP Certificate of Legal Practice

in the UK and many other parts of the world's called bar not where you

go to drink. But you know, you you won't know that God is

also until you know Monday's exam and Sunday evening you're feeling like nervous because you

haven't finished, you know, studying. And you said, Lord helped me

with my exam. Yeah, do you know the Lord? You know,

when I was studying for my exams as as as a law student, as

a legal student, you know, there were so many things that could come

out in the paper, in the questions. Uh. And and you know

we do we study everything. Even if you study everything, will we understand

everything will be memorized, you know. So I finished my Lord degree in

triers and a lot of my friends failed one year. I had to do

another year because I tell you what, every type exams came. I knew

that Jesus was also Lord of exams. And when I did well, I

said, Lord, you are Lord of exams. I said, you know

in your heads is to come gonna give me a high five. You are

lord of education, all right, you are lord of everything. Now it's

easy to say you're a lord of everything, But until you get into that

position, you don't know. Do you know that Jesus is also a lot

of marriages? But you say, yeah, but he's never married. Jesus

was a young working a doubt at thirty three, maybe thirty three and a

half? Haven't married? Is he a lot of marriages? Until you have

problems in your marriage and you cry out to do lord, Lord help me.

I don't want to divorce, but he looks so close to it.

Oh, my husband is thinking about it. I'm thinking about it. I

know we can't get over this problem. Lord help my marriage, and he

does, And who is he lord of the marriage? And then you got

kids. They don't to listen to you, you know. And I said,

everybody's relaying hands on his side. Oh no, as you go like,

yeah, but Jesus never had children. What does he normal children?

You might say, until you say, Lord help me. Remight be rebellious

teenager. Help me with this younger doubt who has run away from home.

Right, and Jesus helps, He helps your young teenager wakes up and goes

like, oh, I don't know why, but I love Jesus this Lord,

hallelujah. You know he touches her heart. Okay, not just children,

not just normal children. He is Lord of the special needs children as

well. And you go, I have a special needs child that I can't

handle it. He said, Lord, help me, and he does either

he heals him on the spot or he brings him to the right therapist,

right, and then he's helped by the therapist because the therapist is so patient,

so good at what he or she does. And you go that,

Lord, thank you. He shows you the way he provides. Are you

aust you with me until you get into that position, until you get into

that place, until you get into that problem, until you get into that

sickness, You will know him as a lot. So I'll tell you again,

Hencess into storms to show us at the end that he's also a lot

of that. Do you know our God is a lot of business as well.

He knows business more than you do. By some of you will go

like, I don't know, I don't know. I don't know the area

because I've never been into business. And yet when you ask him for wisdom

how to do business. He shows you and you go like Lord. I

never knew you are lord of the business, and that you are a lot

of politics, and that you are a lord. You know. I remember

I told you a story before. I'll tell you again very quickly, maybe

for two minutes. There was a missionary who had a son here there from

the US, and the US boy grew to nineteen and he did drugs.

And I told you, when the police came to take him, they called

me because I was the pastor of the family. And I went to the

police station the next morning, and there it is, you know, he's

on his knees begging for Coca cola, and all the other young people there

begging for water. They're begging for water on their knees with handcuffs. The

mother was beside me crying. Never in her wildest nightmare would she imagine a

missionary son, you know, having to beg in the police station just for

water. And the policeman, you know, that particular policeman. I won't

say the whole police force is corrupted, but that policeman told me, you

know, for thirty thousand rings, I can let it all go away,

and I said no, we don't. We don't bribe, we don't do

anything like that. We will trust the Lord. But the mother was crying

uncontrollably. You know, she was a nightmare. The father was not around.

He was doing missions somewhere in East Malaysia. He was going to fly

back the next day. U. And I tell you what, we prayed

because the people we met that really I don't I don't know whether they're from

the mahade mentality mentality time where by a US was our enemy and we always

talk down on you as who you think you are, blah blah blah.

Maybe he had some things right now, but sometimes he just grew on us.

That America, you know, just there's a bunch of proud people and

they should be uh, you know, they should be rejected. So anyway,

because they were Americans and because they were there were missionaries, uh,

there was extra to want to bring them down. I told him before he

went into prison. And they even did things on him, okay, molested

him in all kind of stuff. So it was very, very bad time

for the whole family. But I tell you what, they could have changed

the amount of the drugs, because that's what they tell me they can do.

They can let it all go away, or they can add some more

there to do you in. But can I just tell you this, our

God that time I found out, was also the god of our legal system.

You see, until you entered that storm, you didn't know that he

was also the lord of legal system. He's a lord of judges, he

is the lord of lawyers. He is the lord. That's why we enter

in too storms, so that at the end of the day we stand there

and says and we say, who can this be that even lawyers listened to

him, that even judges listened to him, even policemen had to count out

to him? Who can this be that even the education system will move because

of him? Who can this be that even though we heard that there was

a certain party that all the votes you know, I didn't turn out to

actually be our government, but the other group that didn't have all the votes

as it were. You know that we who heard in the news, who

is this God that we serve that is in control of even the political system,

in control of the government. And today, by the grace of God,

I know people are saying to me, got to pray for any him,

got to pray for him constantly because you know he's doing a good job.

Now we're very thankful everybody. We pray that you know our government will

continue to work under the fear of the Lord. But what I'm trying to

say is that Jesus is also a lot of politics, and until you enter

that storm, you will never know. So listen to me right now.

The only reason I shouldn't say the only reason because I tell you what.

We'll be preaching for another thirty more years, so there will be any more

reasons. A lot will reveal to us. So let me be correct.

You know, those of us who are lawyers have to learn with our words

to be correct. So um one of the reasons, one of the main

reasons why we are allowed to go into a storm, so that we can

come out of the storm saying, Lord, you are God of even this

area. Are you also with me? There's very very important to understand.

He is the lord of the stock market, he is the lord of marriages

and children. I'm just reading my notes to you right now. He is

the lord even of special needs children. He's a lot of politics and politicians.

He's a lord of the business world. He's a lot of the legal

system. He's a lot of medicine, and we praise the Lord for all

this. Hallelujah. Amen. Let me tell you a quick story. How

many of you know or heard of this named Smith Wigglesworth? Okay, if

you can go ahead and get his book, Smith Wigglesworth, Okay. In

his lifetime he raised up about seventeen dead people to life, including his wife.

His wife, I told a story this warning eight fifteen. It was

so amazing. The wife died at the steps of his house. Couldn't his

house and his ministry of his same place. So she died there and the

steps she fell collapsed night and the people carried her because he said to her

to them, he said, to his team carrying my wife, bringing her

to my bedroom. So they put put her on the bed, and he

rebuilt the spear of death. Out you go in Jesus name. She woke

up and she said, why do you wake me up? And he says,

because I haven't said goodbye to you. Uh So, so they talked

and then they said goodbye, and then she fell asleep. She said to

him, don't wake me up, because I mean the presence of Jesus is

the most beautiful place to be. I don't want to I don't want to

come back to earthity. Uh, please let me go. And so he

said, okay, I'll let you go. Go back to sleep. And

so she went to sleep died and then he said, oh, I forgot

to tell him something. So he woke her up seven times that day.

So this is his story. And uh, and and and and besides his

wife, he rose another sixteen more people, all documented in the books.

Uh. And he doesn't read anything else. He only reads the Bible because

he can't read. So when he asked a lot can I read the lot

on? He allow him to read the Bible. Uh. And if you

take a newspaper into his house, he asked you to cast it aways.

The world share not coming to my house. That kind of guy. I'm

just very very radical six foot four, I think you know. And and

and huge guy. Uh. One time he carried a guy out of his

coffee. Didn't ask the mother, didn't ask the wife, didn't ask anybody.

He just came into the because not told him go and raise this guy

up. So he came in and then as people crying, he went to

the back. Behind the wall was a coffee. He carried the men up,

went to the wall, say wake up in Jesus's name, and the

guy fell to grandpa's date. Man. So he picked up again, wake

up in Jesus himself. Again, wake up in you all. You know.

By the fifth time, the guy woke up, and then he presented

him. Say hey, this guy not haven't died yet. Did he say

hello? Did say goodbye? This we walked off, you know, to

him, and he's like, I'm not I'm not here to you know,

please anybody. I'm only here to please the Lord. That kind of a

guy like radical, I'm a little bit like that. So I haven't raised

a date yet, but one two okay, Halla am a man and praise

God. So uh. His granddaughter also, you know, loves Jesus and

served the Lord. And she is married with three kids. Okay, the

youngest one it's like a baby. And so they took a boat to a

village far far away. And in this village people didn't know Jesus, did

know God. Their god is the god of the water, God of the

stone, God of the tree. Animistic, we call them. They just

believe in spirits. And so they heard that missionaries were coming. Actually they

didn't even know the word missionary. They just know, oh, some foreigners

are coming to our village. Want to tell us about God? All right,

So, as you know, rowing this boat is many many years ago,

maybe one hundred years ago. And there's they're rowing this boat and getting

into this village quite deep in the jungle. And as they as they arrived,

he was late, and the children were like, you know, half

asleep, and the mom and dad said, okay, we just get got

to get to a place where bibe we can sleep and then we will settle

everything in the morning. And so some of the villages that welcome them said,

okay, there's a place here you can sleep. Uh. And it's

not very nice. It's a broken down hut, but you know you can

go in. So Smith Wigglesworth granddaughter and the husband and the three kids,

you know, and she's carrying the youngest one and she's trying to put them

into to sleep. Uh. Not a not a not a good place at

all to sleep. But she says, it's okay, it's okay, we

are missionaries. We will just you know, just just hack it, okay.

And then the children fell asleep. But within the hour there was thunderstorm.

Uh, there was lightning, there was um what else there was yeah,

thunder okay, and there was rain. So the husband and wife,

uh you know, couldn't sleep, got up and sound pray. Lord,

we are your children, we are your servants. You know your brought us

all the way here. We just asked you for a little bit of sleep.

Can you just give us a little bit of sleep. Stop the rain,

stop the thunder, and stop the lightning. Give us a little bit

of sleep. Please don't allow this noise to wake our children up, because

our children need their sleep. And so they pray. Uh. Half an

hour turned to one hour, One hour turned to two hours, two hours

turned to four hours. And every time they prayed, the thunder was louder,

the lightning was more violent, the rain was heavier. Okay. And

right there in the midst of it all they say, and how many,

how many of you have been there before you? The more you pray,

the hot day gets. The more you pray, you know, nothing happens

the more and then you get very discouraged, very discouraged. You know,

you pray for the sick, and you as you pray for the seaing,

the guy gets secre You know you're you're like, something wrong with me,

something wrong with me, something wrong with my faith, my prayer. The

more I pray for my children, the more rebalist again, what's going on?

The more I pray for my business, the more you know, I'm

losing money? What is going on? And so uh Smith wiggles Worth granddaughter

and husband prayed, Oh God, And it feels so discouraged because until the

light dawn at five thirty in the morning, the rain didn't stop, and

they only stopped after, you know, there was light, so they didn't

really sleep. But the miracle number one is that their children slept through the

whole you know, thundersong all right. Now, they said, okay,

our children are away, let's go find some food. And they don't they

don't know what out of food they go find out there. So they carried

their children and they said, let's go. And as they stepped out of

that hut, they saw the whole village surrounding that area. The whole village

came out first thing in the morning, and then they looked and go like,

oh, what are all these people doing here? And the head of

the village came and talked to the husband and the wife and said, whatever

you're gonna share with us, tell us now, because we've got to accept

it. And they go like, oh, they haven't even heard Jesus.

That's what they say. Whatever, what, whatever you're gonna say to us,

please just tell us. We're gonna accept now. And then they say

they say why, They said, well, because this place where you have

slept the whole night is what we call the lions den, and only people

that we don't like we put here because the lions will definitely come to feed

here every night. But whoever God you're serving, send the thunder, the

lightning and the rain to drive all the lions away from this place. We

want to know what kind of God you serve, because he is the true

God. And I want you understand. Let's give God a big free for

that Hallelijah, Amen, just so that I can see that you believe.

Sometimes we hear sorday might not believe this is a true story. I brought

this story to tell you that sometimes we go true things we don't understand,

but we're not We're not sure what God has at the end, and that

he can turn, you know, our difficulty into a testimony. And so

the question is why does God allow storms? I believe he allows storms to

show us who he really is in that storm, and he's the lord of

the winds, and he's the lord of the seas, and that he has

our best intention in mind. Can I hear a good amen? He has

our best intention in mind? Now, let me read on. Let me

read on. It says the waves beat into the boat so that it was

already feeling. So the boat was feeling. You know, there's water in

the boat already. Okay. And it says on that Jesus was asleep on

a pillow. Now, sometimes I read the Bible, I'd like to ask

questions whose pillow is it? But that's not important today. Okay, does

Jesus go around traveling with a pillow? I don't know? Is someone says

a pillow? Okay, whatever, Okay, he's sleeping on a pillow.

He's very comforted. Well, he even took a pillow to sleep on.

He's comfortable. Okay, all right, So what is in the boat.

Jesus is asleep? And they ran and walk him up and said, teacher,

do you not care that we are perishing? Sometimes we might think that

God doesn't care. How many of you have ever had that thought before?

Let me see your head. Okay, if your honest ones, or maybe

we haven't gone through such a hard time, hard enough to actually challenge us

to think, God, do you even care? Because I'm going through so

much and you haven't come through for me for weeks, months, years,

Lord, when are you come? Do you care? Not? God?

Do you care that I'm not married yet? You know, sounds of young

adults will say, I'm already thirty nine and I'm not married. I do

you even care? Lord? I'm married for ten years and I have no

children? Do you care not? You know? Sometimes you come to a

place whereby it has been so long and you think that God doesn't care.

But I cannot tell you this that the way God responds to storms is very

different from the way human beings would respond to storms. That's what I want

you to catch. I'm gonna say it again. The way our God responds

to storms is very different from the way we respond to storms. We usually

respond to the first thing we see. Now, I ask you a question,

what do you think Jesus would have done should have done with this situation?

What do you think Jesus should have done in this situation number one,

and I think the ladies will agree he shouldn't have been sleeping, because I

think you don't like it when your husband is sleeping or resting on his chair

when something needs to be done in the house. I see ladies nodding their

head. Praise the Lord, Praise God. After twenty eight years of marriage,

I think I can understand a little bit of what a woman wants and

how she thinks. I would never say I will understand woman, because that's

almost impossible. But the thing is, I understand a little bit. They

don't want to see you resting when there's something to be done. Okay,

now Jesus should have slept. If Jesus had a wife on that boat,

he would be in trouble. Somebody say, amen. I'm not hearing amen,

but that's okay. Women are still thinking, or maybe they're angry with

me already by now, How damn you say it? Okay, he shouldn't

be sleeping. Last thing. At least wake up and at least look like

you you care, even if you couldn't do anything about it. At least

look like you don't you even care? Well, he cares, but he

cares very differently than we and we will go immediately to the thing. We

can see. If Jesus was like that, you know what he would have

done. He would have gone first to scoop up water from the boat,

yes, because water was already feeling there board. And women will do that.

They are very good at that, because they want to clean first.

Yes, they want to wipe the table first. Of the milk has piled

on the ground, so they go for the mob first. And it's fine,

it's fine because we are human beings. That's how we respond. I

want to say to you right now. We will respond very differently. I'm

not just women. Our manners will do that. They will go and attack

and address the very thing that fell off the ground. And they and this

is the first thing, and and and they're troubled with the first thing.

They are routed out by the first thing. They can't stand the chair not

being straight, and so they want to go and handle that first. And

and and sometimes the devil gets our attention on things that, yeah, it's

important, but might not be the most important thing. And Jesus tackles it

later, he says, why are you so fearful? So the deepest thing

that God was after was the fear that's in our hearts or the faithlessness that's

in our hearts. This is very important, but the devil will want us

to concentrate on the current immediate thing. Now that's not always wrong. It's

okay to immediately do something that you know, emergency or urgency or yeah,

fine, understand it. But you also understand what I'm saying. That our

eyes can be on things that the Lord's eyes are not on, and sometimes

we get so bothered, so caught up with that the call must be answered

now. The text must be answered now, as you can't be answered later

but now. And the enemy distracts us and I just thought that on my

game, so I gotta finish it now, because you know, it's just

we're just we're just so into that we're micromanaging, and that's what that's what

we are, that's who we are. Okay. So Jesus shouldn't be asleep

on the pillow, but he was. And what that tells us is that

we must all of us find what it means to rest in a lot.

Jesus was wrested on a pillow because he's not worried like you are worried he's

not concerned like you are concerned like me, I'm also concerned about many things.

He says, do not worry, And so he's a sleep on a

pillow, not because he didn't care, but because he is not as worried

as you are. He knew that his life was in his father's hands,

and some of us in his room need to know that our lives are in

our father's hands. Somebody say, A man, sometimes you feel a little

bit like, oh, you know, I feel like my heart is something

wrong, like you know, like maybe what Vincent and Shalin shard, you

know, breath breathlessness. Yeah, fine, we need to go and see

doctor at the right time. But I'm just saying that, do not allow

fear to drive you to do things. Do not focus on things that doesn't

matter. All right, here we go. This is important. They woke

him, he was sleeping. They thought he didn't care. But I want

to say to you that God cares very differently, and we need to learn

to care like God cares, see like God sees, respond like God response.

Settle down, dawn't be afraid, be focused on the Lord. Look

to the Lord and seek his wisdom, and seek his peace in everything that

you're dealing with number two, And with this I will run to the finishing

line number two for what we learn from this. When Jesus arose, he

did not scoop out water from the boat that was not so important to him.

He didn't want to spend his time his energy on things that wasn't really

important. What he did was immediately he rebuked the wind and said to the

sea, peace be still, and the wind sees and there was a great

calm. Let me do some teaching here now. Jesus is a creator,

and the wind is a creation. So is the sea and everything else we

can see. Now, the creator doesn't have to rebuild his creation. He

can just speak to it. The reason why I believe Jesus had to rebuilt

the wind instead of saying stop, instead of just saying calm down. The

reason why I believe Jesus had to rebuild the wind is because it was demonic.

It had a drive that was spiritual. And so this is the first

thing I want to tell all of you in this point is that a lot

of things in our lives, we try and try and try, and we

find that it doesn't it doesn't really break true. It doesn't happen, so

I can. I want to reintroduce to you now that there is an evil

one that is a devil that Jesus prayed Father. You all remember the whole

thing our father wold in heaven. Towards the end, he says, and

lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Is

supposed to be prayed every day. Every day. This is a prayer of

the Lord. That means that Jesus himself knew that we have to pray to

be delivered from the evil one. Means to say that every day there is

an evil one working very real. Okay, And the ball, you don't

believe it. The ball, the devil likes it because then he can do

harm to you. They can continue to disturb you. Okay. He can

do it with children, he can do it with animals, he can do

it with doubts. He can do it with your finances. I've seen actually,

and I spent three years studying on healing deliverance, demons and how God

casts them out, So I know that demons can even move things. One

time there was a house where things just go missing and fridge door opens,

Electrical switchers get turned off and on and and all kind of stuff and things

get moved. Uh, and it happens all the time. The house gets

messy. And I remember this preacher said, I was called in and I

knew it was a demon spirit because sometimes we allow demon spirits, or maybe

the house already has a demon spirit and he had to cast it out.

He said, he went through the whole house. He said, I forbid

you to touch this chair, because this chair keeps moving. I forbid you

to open it fridge. I forbid you. And he went through the whole

house. I forbid you from tonight onwards. You I forbid you to turn

on and off the lights at night. You know, I forbid so the

whole that he went through the whole house. That the testimony was that by

the time he finished praying that night, the whole family could sleep well and

and and until they sold the house ten years later or something like that.

Because it can happen. It can happen a haunted house. This is a

house with demon's spirit in it. And you can go in there, and

God what you stay in there, You can just cast out the spirit.

He's not a big deal. God gave us the authority to cast out demons.

Now he can, he can disturb children, he can disturb your health.

I think I think after studying three years on healing, I think ninety

percent of the sicknesses that we have in the diseases evil spirit or unclean spirits

motivated. Okay. So that's why when Jesus came on the earth, he

many of the people he prayed for he cast out cast out demons. So

is because we are living in a world whereby we don't talk about demons and

I clean spirits so much. That's why we think they're not there. They

are, okay, and they can affect our finances. You're you're trying to

break out from pornography. You're trying to break out from pornography, but you

still go back to it every time you say, oh, forgive me,

Lord, I've seen. Forgive me Lord, I seen, but you're still

going back. So some people call it bad habit, But a bad habit

is also spiritually backed up. And until the time when that spirit is cast

out, you and I will not be able to overcome it no matter what

we try. So this is the basic thought for you. If you've been

trying and trying your best and trying going back for therapy. You're going for

discipline, staff, you're going for but you cannot overcome it. It is

usually spiritual. I didn't say always usually spiritual. So understand this. Jesus

stood up from his sleep when probably to the side of the boat, and

he looks at the wind. He looks at the waves. The waves is

bringing the waters. He didn't spend his time scooping up the water. He

he just okay, finally, listen, I'm not going to focus on things

I'm not focused on. Maybe later we do that. Now let me tackle

something very very important, because this is more important. He rebuked the wind.

Boom, stop you win stop now. Okay. He didn't say in

Jesus name, because he's Jesus, stop your works enough. You don't really

you don't have to rebuildin You can just say wind stop, calm down.

No, But the Bible says he rebuilt the winds. He knew what was

causing that wind to be violent, and it was because of that wind that

the seas were raging, because if the wind wasn't violent, the seas wouldn't

rage like that. But he dealt with the sea so differently. It should

have said the Bible should have said if we wrote it, if we wrote

it, he should have said he rebuilt the wind and the seas. He

didn't say that. He says he rebuilt the wind and said peace. He

knew exactly what was causing your problem, and then what was so what was

stirring and what was being stirred? Two different things? What was stirring and

what was being stirred? Two different things. And as Christians, I hope

I can give you this truth so you can add truth to your prayer life.

And if you know, okay, how came my son always like this?

Huh okay, I'm going to as a mom, I'm going to rebuild

the very spirit that is behind this. Maybe because spirits have to have an

open door. So maybe the dad or maybe the grandfather somewhere the door was

opened. You see the character and the character the same or anger problem,

because the angry problem goes all the way down to grandfather. So a door

is opened. In Jesus name, I canceled that door. I command the

spiritu of anger out of this child in Jesus name. But a lot of

us think a pastor, you know, I sent him to another pastor and

prayed for and already cast out the demon a device to another that why is

still that? That? Because the waves is still stirring. You see,

even though the one whose stirs has stopped, the one who is being stirred

is still stirring. Do you get this? So right now, maybe something

sharp, you know, penetrated. My wife's skin went into a little bit

of a flesh. It's called a fiery that we know, the fire that

is spiritual. So we cast out an uproot the firy that is? Then

is there not still pain? One day, two days, five days.

If you don't take care of that pain, it will still be pain.

You have to take care you don't rebuild that pain. You rebuilt the fiery

dart that came. And now that you have rebuilt the firy that the wind

has ceased, but the sea is still stirring. And a lot of people

don't understand that. They're good. But I've been prayed for already. No,

no, no, no, listen, I know you've been prayed for.

But the pain is still that, the stirring is still that. Very

important to understand this because people they don't know, they don't know what's happening.

They got. They still blame the devil. They still blame this they

Oh, God, have you answer my prayer? God is so cruel.

God doesn't care. No, listen, I rebuilt the wind. I say

peace to the storm. So these days when I pray for people that I

might spend only about two minutes casting out that demon, but I might spend

the next twenty minutes saying peace, because a lot of the stirring is still

in your heart. The devil needs to saw a thought, just needs to

saw a thought of fear. Oh, your father had can say you will

have cancer, your daughter son. So the thought has come in as a

fiery dart. You said, I rebuilt the spirit of cancer. Out you

go. You the that goes. But every day you see have to live.

And if you still feel the pain you got, oh I think it's

cancer. I think it's cancer. And then what you still be inside of

you instead? And so you have to have peace and stop talking like that,

Stop confessing like that, Stop saying, oh, I don't know,

I don't think I did it. No, he did it. He did

something for you already. So every day you know what you need to do.

Just give thanks, because giving thanks continues to help you keep that healing

going. Are you with me? You cannot say, oh, by,

I went to past the idea and he prayed for media. You know about

nothing happened. No, he prayed for you. You gotta believe that something

happened. But the next few days, weeks, and months is your responsibility

to calm that storm, Calm those fears in your mind, Calm that doubt,

Calm that stirring that has been stirred by the evil one until it calms

down. So Jesus rebuilt the winds and said peace, be still. That's

why the Bible also says in Psalm forty six ten, be still and know

that I am God. Be still and know that I'm God. I will

be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. Everybody,

okay with this? So let me tell you a sorry quick one.

At the back of our church in h and a back out of our church

in uh submit is a spa. And some of you may have heard this

as some money. Some of you who have not, I'll tell you.

I'll tell you anyway. In that spa we have known that for the past

fifteen years they have conducted UH well prostitution activities when we were on the second

floor now we're on the fourth floor. In some subang we used to use

the lift that all the clients use, and the clients really look like you

know, yeah, the clients looked like they were hungry, okay, and

the workers who worked in that place really looked like they were there to fulfill

the hunger. And we used to sometimes have to close the eyes of our

young people in the lift because of the dressing of most of these ladies that

went up. And it's sad, you know when I see it. I

don't. I don't want to judge. I just I feel sad for people

who have to be in this trade. Maybe most of them didn't want to

be in this trade if they had the money, the family or that support.

But you know, and some of them, of course, just choose

it, you know. But probably very very small, rare situation where people

just want to do it. I don't, I don't think people want to

do it. But anyway, there's another story. So it happened for years,

and then we took over the fourth floor. Now the fourth floor were

even nearer. It's just behind us. It's just if I opened the shutter.

You see it all right, I've even inside. I knows how you're

thinking about the way you being inside with my elders and leaders of two or

three of them. And the reason was they actually said the SPA couldn't pay

their rental for six months, so we have to kick them out. Do

you want it or not? Bustard, I said, yes, of course

I wanted. You know, I'm into a taking over the darkness because we

are the light. Okay, So, but is this expensive? So I

walked in and I tell you what, curtains were closed, and some of

the curtains opened, and I look in and know that people were like trying

to put their shirt and dress us on it. So I look away and

this, this manager of a summit hotel is showing us. So this is

this, this is that, this is this, and this is a pool.

There's a pool inside. Now it's illegal. The pooler has got so

much weighter that I think, if it's only by the grace of God that

side of the building, heaven followen because swimming poola in a space that's not

been for water. And then you know, I think they have like fifteen

shower rooms right all that cause so I was thinking about Victory Academy one day,

Ticula, because because you Pola, I said, Lord, if you

can keep his whew put together, Victory Academy will have a nice space,

shower rooms, all that kind I have. I've got big dreams for Victory

Academy. But but but anyway, I looked at it, walked around,

and I saw the just it's bad, okay, But the beautiful thing is

when we took out the fourth floor, worship started to beginning, right worship,

worship, prayer, and for years right they were never shut down.

Although it's illegal activities that everybody knows it. In it they will shut down.

And already the police has been tall and MPSJ has been tall that this

is girl. They have come to visit two or three times. I don't

know what they did when they visit it, but they have come to visit.

And when we first moved in the fourth floor, I don't know why.

But after a week or two I just went a hit and opened the

shutters. I say, okay, never mind, I don't like to see

the site by. I'll just open it anyway to like, you know,

I just moved into the fourth floor. I'll just open it. Anyway,

as I opened it, I saw yellow tape all across the frontage because the

MPG decided finally to come in and seal them, close them, and I

was rejoicing. I told my all, my my leaders, I said,

see the power of God. We come in as a church, as a

light, we worship God, we pray, and these guys had to go.

They had to go right, And I was rejoicing. I toltally,

just see the power of God, and everybody agreed. God is powerful.

And then six eight nine months later, I opened the shutter again because I

said, wow, fresh air, fresh air, but you know, just

just fresh airline that comes from nowhere. But you know, I just opened

the shutters and the yellow tape is gone. Businesses started again, so they

are also fresh. So I closed down the shutters. What God, what's

happened? Right? What's happened? God, what's happened? So I forgot

about it for a few years until Victory Academy. Our students started complaining that

they're smoke coming through the back. Smoke. That's why I asked around.

I said, hey, what spook is? So they did investigation. They

are doing idol worship at the back they have increased their idols because someone counseled

them and said, don't play with the church. They are a strong one.

They got power one um Oka house here. Don't play play huh.

We must introduce other gods to fight their god. So they put a few

more idols and they increase the smoke once up more time and they never worship

with the bat onne. But you see, yuh, they fight five fire.

They also know they're very spiritual, so they know. So our students,

you'll pastor you know, go smoke lah right comes in through the vent

or whatever. Okay. So because x Chess belongs to Jesus, because Victory

Academy belongs to Jesus, we will have an answer for sure. Do worry,

set up twenty four seven worship right, twenty four seven? So because I

understand this, I understand what I read that you can actually remove Satan's hand.

But still you must speak to the sea. You understand, That's what

I'm trying to say to you. So I just told you so now that

thanksgiving will continue in the course of getting the sea at peace. So twenty

four seven worship we put on moen. God is good all the time,

but we go out and still complain. We prayed it, but we

still go out and go life. Oh you know I still feel pain.

Line, you know, maybe I will die tomorrow. We get prayed for.

When you're gonna say something else after that, No, you want you

want to abide in the Lord. Abide and remain in the Lord. How

to remain every single time you're attempted to say something else, you give thanks,

And every time you're about to say something opposite from God's word, you

worship. And so twenty four seven and within two weeks that you know what

happened. See the management that did not there touch them because they are gangsters,

and they probably got a few policemen under their wings, a few EMBARSI

and I don't know, okay, but obviously, like if they could continue,

right, they must have somebody taking care of them. You're you're with

me, and now they have got a few other gods taking care of them

all because they're getting a good smoke, Okay, all right. But here

here I'm faced with the problem, and my students, I'll face your problem.

a week of rebuking, casting out and saying, stop demon that's behind this,

because the Bible says we do not wrestle against fresh and blood blah,
