Jesus' Concerns (Towards The Finish Line) | Elder Terence Atkinson

You're listening to a message to go from astretch. We hope this message will

light up your tea this morning. I want to share with you a message

about Jesus concerns for you, Jesus concerns for us towards the finishing line.

Do you know that all of us, we are heading towards the finishing line.

The first moment we took our first breath, we already headed towards the

finishing line. There are two ways that we'll head towards the finishing line.

One is that Jesus will come again, and he is coming again, okay,

because you know how we know he's coming again. He said it,

so I believe it right, he says I will return, okay. And

the other way that we will meet the finishing line is when we finish breathing.

All right. So, one way or the other, we are heading

towards the finishing line. And you know it's good that Heaven rules, and

we pray that Heaven will rule our desire towards the finishing line and our service

towards the finishing line. Now, concerns, I want to talk to you

a little bit about what drives us, all right, and how many of

you when you were in college learned Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Can I see

us your hands? Oh that's a good forty percent of you. Well,

let's just go with this, right, Let's have a little bit of a

management lesson and talk about this little guy, this guy called Maslow. He

had this hierarchy of needs which is in the form of this pyramid. All

right, So let me just explain to you at the very lowest level is

the physiological needs, which is basically your needs for food, water, you

know, sleep, clothing, reproduction. How many of you know that in

some of the poorest countries they have the biggest populations. Why is that because

this is one of the basic needs that they have. Why is it that

in developing countries or developed countries they don't have as much population because people have

moved up the pyramid. So, now, if you had a thirst for

water, would you even bother looking at a Mercedes bench. Let's just say

you've been in the desert, you've not had water for days. You know,

you're so thirsty or you're dying for a drink, and you came into

this place and you looked around and you saw the bottle on the table.

How many of you know? Then you won't even bother to ask permission before

you drink it. You'll head straight for it. You're opening, you're drinking,

whether anybody says anything or not. Why because that is the most important

thing for you at that That's a life and that issue. What about food?

Food is exactly the same thing. When people don't eat food, what

we'll do. Some will even steal a loaf of bread right because they want

to feed their family. They're very hungry. It's at the very basic of

your needs. Why is it when Jesus came, the first thing you said

is I've come to preach the good news to who the poor? Why didn't

he say I've come to show you the way to God. Why was his

first message or not I've come to save you and take you to God.

Why was his first words, I've come to preach the good news to the

poor. When a person is poor, that's all they're thinking about. The

enemy comes to do what Still in the prodigal Son's story, he was very

rich. How did he end up poor when he was very poor? What

could he think of food? And only food? So much so he ate

the pigs? Food? You see, the enemy comes to steal from you.

The enemy comes to try to make you poor, because when he can

make you poor, he'll take your mind of God. Why is it that

when Jesus came, I've come to preach the good news to the poor because

I can to let you know how you can get your stomach's fed, so

that now this is no longer an issue for you. You're going to be

concentrating on god physiological needs. So now when you move up the hierarchy,

let's say you've got all your you know, you can get water, you

can get food. You know you're got to eat. Malaysia, clean drinking

water is still the problem, am I right? Those of you from militia

out in the you know, away from the towns, one of the biggest

issues is to get them clean drinking water. It's very important when we can

get all these things met. The next thing you look out for is personal

security, employment, resources, health and property. When you meet shelter,

how many of you know that living under bridge is sufficient. But when you

have come up a little bit and you can, you know, you can

secure a job, which is very important. You want to secure Why you

want to secure a job because you will move up from under that bridge and

you're going rent a room. So now it hasn't your desire gone one step

up? You're no longer thinking about that, you know, because you've got

that room now, so you don't have to worry about a roof of your

head. And and and you want to look for a job. Why would

you want to look for a job because you want to keep getting that money

to pay for that food and to pray for the roof over your head.

So employment is very important. And you start to think, maybe I should

take medical insurance. It's good so in case I land in hospital, you

know I can be well taking care. So you start to think about your

health issues. You know, about property. When you have that handled,

what do you look for next? It says love, belonging, friendship,

intimacy, family, and a sense of connection. After you've got the basic

settle settle, then you start to think, I think I should join it.

Giam's a club, you know, I get me. You start to

think about socializing. Isn't it when you don't have a roof over your head?

Can you think about going to somebody's part here? You can't? Isn't

it when you when you you don't have a job. Would you think about

about going to somebody's birthday party? Because you have to buy a gift,

So don't go. Don't need buy a gift, say Moneygaan Kraignon. So

now Maslow was onto something, okay, and once he got through that,

so you start to look for friendships. Why why would you join a club?

It's too is to create friends, it's to network, you know,

No man is an island kind of thing. Yeah. Then after you do

that, you get what is known as esteem, respect, status, recognition.

No more is driving a mighty good enough for you. I have got

to drive a Lamborghini. You see, there are lots of people who now

want to show that they have arrived. So how would they show that they

have arrived? It's you know, it's no longer good enough having a six

hundred dollars watch. Now they have to have a sixty thousand dollars watch.

There's a sixty thousand dollars watch. Tell the time. Yes, there's the

six hundred dollar watch. Tell the time. Yes, there's a sixty dollars

watch. Tell the time. Yes, they all tell the time. All

quite accurate now because all electronics so what's the difference. The difference is I

want to show people I have. I want people to look up to me

and say, wow, this guy Wow. And then when you have that

met we go one step up. It's self actualization, the desire to become

the most that one could be. It is, okay, how should I

put this? All right? How many of you watched Avengers? The last

few? Okay? And thanos? Many say I look like than It's true.

I'll show you some pictures of west Side inside together we do look like

anyway, being a purple being which was so strong, it's not good enough.

He had to have the glove. Why would the glove? Because the

glove would make him like God? And some people in the world today want

to be God. That's at the peak, you know. There was there's

a There was an author called Selvin Hughes, and he wrote a book,

Marriage as God Intended. This book is actually one of the best books of

marriages that I've read, but it is out of print. It's no longer

printed because it was last printed in eighty two. The author is still since

that, and I think the publication house no longer exists. But anyway,

I read this book and He said that he believes in this except for the

last two because and I agree, it is impossible to have an esteem and

self actualization without Jesus in your life. That's why the world tries to get

it their way, but they don't realize that they will always fall short,

because without Jesus to make the picture complete, the last two at the top

impossible to reach. You know, when we ourselves actualized, when we expire

and we be with the Lord, then we are all that we could be.

You know that you can only be all that God ever intended to be

when you are glorified with Him, so that they will come look forward to

it. Okay, so we have concerns. Let's move on. We are

not learning about Maslow today. We want to get to Jesus. Okay,

now, let's look at some of our concerns. One, are some of

our concerns? You know, do you know that our concerns drive our needs?

Isn't it true? Uh? Okay, you're about to have a charm

right a few months time, one month time, two months time, something

like that, anytime? Okay, Wow, your concern for that drives your

needs, isn't the back pactory? Back to the to the factory. Isn't

it ready to go at a moment's more? You know that when my wife,

Mabel was expecting our first child, the bag was packed. She had

a show bleeding at five am. So that time I didn't have a car.

So I called my brother, I said it's time. He rushed over

there, like you know, if if there was a Lamborghini, he would

have overtaken it anytime. Okay. So he was there quickly, and he

was so flustered. So when he came to the house, Mabel was sitting

down in the chair very quietly waiting. And you know where I was.

I I was having my shower. Then later I came down, he said,

what's the matter with you? I seem relaxed. She's going to be

okay. So you see our concerns. This derive our needs. I was

so concerned about what Maybel was going to go through. I read this book

called every Woman, written by Professor Llewellen Jones. It is probably the best

book you'll ever read if you're intending to have children. You know, by

the way, the guy who wrote that book is the guy who delivered me.

It's a best seller, by the way. So he was in the

Peace Corps here in Malaya, in Malaysia in sixty one, sixty sixty one.

Then because at my birth, my mother and me almost died, all

right, it was a C section, you know, the card was around

my neck, that kind of thing. He saved my mother and myself,

all right. So I read that book because there's some connection now with a

guy. But because I read the book, I it was no longer a

concern to be panicky because I knew what was going to take place. So,

you know, I was pretty Whereas my brother had not read the book.

He was like, okay, so our needs occupy our thoughts, all

right. So my need to be a responsible husband occupied my thoughts enough for

me to read a book which I would never have normally never have read if

I didn't need to. But because of that, I read the book.

I was prepared, and now in my thoughts, I knew I did not

have to panic. I knew I would have to be the voice of reason,

the voice of calm. Come on, we're going to do this.

I tell you. When when my wife was expecting the second child, we

went in. It was a Sunday, we went in, so confirmed she's

in labor. Yeah, she's in labor. Okay, so I think she's

got about six to eight hours, right, doctor said, yeah, no,

we did. After that, I took her, we have a have

washed, took her to have a hair washed. Then we had we went

for lunch, We came back home, watched TV a bit, and then

only about six hours later I took her. And then after that, you

know, so don't do this, okay. Our thoughts determined our actions,

all right, So now we're thinking about these things all the time in our

mind. What do we do? We act on it? La, you

know. So now we were so prepared after having gone through the first one.

My wife and me did not need to pen There was a pastor who

made us there, you know, in the restaurant. You know, how

how are you then? So, yeah, she's having a bit. By

the way, she's in labor. He also was surprised. But we were

having lunch, you see, because now our thoughts were already okay, we

knew what was happening, so our actions were no longer panicky, and our

actions cause our outcomes. So relaxed were we that when you know, my

wife was on the bed. This was now eleven I remember the time Actuley

was born at eleven twenty three, because all the numbers add up to seven,

and so I won't forget the time. The doctor wasn't there. The

doctor wasn't there because he was assisting somebody else in Nebo. But when we

told in us the baby's about to be born, she said no, no,

no, no, your wife is not screaming it. So I told

her, you have no idea, it's going to be okay, she's having

the baby now. So when she left, I just told Maghbor, it's

just the bother of us. So actually was born on the bad. I

was the one who delivered it because the doctor was not around. No nurse

was around, you know. So again, don't do this. But you

see our actions, Our actions cause our outcomes. Now are we happy with

our outcomes? So we we we have these these outcomes? Are we happy

with it? Are we Marthers or are we Marys? I think they shouldn't

have been an apostrophe as them, but never mind, uh, Grandma,

Are we Mars mother is always concerned with the things moving around always? Or

are we mary whose concern with what God has to say? You see it?

Are we happy with our outcomes. Was Mary happy with our outcome?

No, she went to Jesus and she complained. Was Martha was Mary?

Martha went to Jesus and complained. But Mary sat at Jesus's feet and she

was listening to the Lord. Was she happy with the outcome? Of course

she was well because Jesus said, Hey, this one chose the better way.

You won't feel good. When the Lord says you chose the better way,

you will feel good. Right, So you see, I'm sure Mary

was happy with the outcome sitting at the feet of Jesus and then listening to

the Lord say, you chose rightly? Are we sauls or are we paulse

I'm not talking about Saul the King. I'm talking about Saul before he became

a Christian. All right, there's such a wretched person breathing murderous threats.

You remember that message and shady you here. He really had every fiber of

his being wanting to kill Christians. But then he did become a pall So

do you think he was happy with his outcome? Also, how many of

you would be happy to go and then after there for three days to be

blind? You'd be happier? I wouldn't be happy. But then he became

a pall and you know what's the difference. When Agabus put the you know,

bound his hands and say, you know, you know what he said?

He said, why are you breaking my heart? Don't you realize I'm

not only willing to go, I'm willing to die for the Lord. He

was happy with his outcome. He was pleased that he had changed from someone

who wanted to kill Christians to being one who would die for the Christian faith.

One about souls of David. Now you look, this is the king,

Saul. King. Saul wasn't happy to just be a king. He

also wanted to be a priest. Did you know because Samuel I told him

kill all the goats and the cows and the sheep, don't keep any of

them. What he did do he wanted to be a priest, so instead

of killing all these animals, he had it sacrifice. When Samuel came back

for the same and say, why did you disobey the Lord? Contrast to

David, David is just playing his heart, going about his own business.

What did he do? He killed her lion and her bed and then after

he walks over to the camp and he sees Goliath. To him, there's

no difference between Goliath, the bed, the whatever. He just worshiped the

Lord and Goliatha was brought down by a small stone. How embarrassing think about

it, that ridicule the Philistines. You think your big sword and spear is

all that big thing? I just needed some store I go and take from

the river can bring you down. Who was happy with the outcome? David

happy with the acme, of course, because when you read he says,

you know, I'm just I just praised the Lord. I worship the Lord.

But when you look at King Saul, he was a miserable guy when

David played the half of him. What he trying to try to kill David.

So he was never happy with this outcome. And Annonises or Stevens,

do you know that annonis when he sold that property, the money was always

his. You know, if he sold a property for a million dollars and

he came to Peter and he said, you know what, I had this

property. I sold it for a million dollars, here's five hundred thousand.

You know what Peter would have done, thank you so much for blessing the

Lord. But instead, you know, what he said, Yes, all

the proceeds. What's wrong with him? He wasn't happy to be known as

someone that gave some. He wanted to be known as someone who gave everything

when it was not true. But do you look at Stephen, not the

Stephen, but the other Stephen. Okay, even that one is wrong.

You look at the Stephen who who's in the Bible, because they were two

Steven's mentioned today. Stephen says, what I see the heavens open, I

see the Sun at the right hand of God. And he died for that

statement. But the fact that the matter was, he was really happy to

see the presence of the Lord. So do you think he was happy with

his outcome? You better believe it, because he saw the Lord both in

a vision and in actuality. So are we happy with our outcomes? I'm

getting somewhere. What is God's concern? Let's look at some of the concerns

that God has for us. Okay. In two pet three nine, it

says the Lord is not slack concerning his promises as some counselackness, but it's

long suffering towards us, not willing that any should perish, but that all

should come to repentance. Do you know that God has a concern that he

doesn't want us to perish, but he wants us to get together to be

with him. And I want you to understand not slack concerning his promises.

Do you know what that means? It means that God is not irresponsible with

his words as some ah. When God says it, you better believe it.

If God says that's the way it is, that's the way it is.

If God says black is white, you know what we are supposed to

say, Yes, Lord, black is white because God said it. If

God were to say white is black, then I would say, Eric,

that's a very nice black shall welcome. Is I get in line with God?

You give what I'm saying. So God is not irresponsible concerning his word.

And then he says, I'm not willing that any should perish, but

all should come to repentance. Do you know that repentance is a choice given

to you and I It is not a commandment, because God did not say

I will it right now that everyone be saved. Because that is that.

You know, God doesn't deal in cheap fantasies. God doesn't deal in cheap

pronouncements. Whenever God says something there's value, there's value to it. So

when he's saying that he's not willing, he's not willing. But that all

should leaves you with the choice. He gave you at the very beginning.

You say, God, when he gives you something, doesn't take it away.

So be very, very cautious about the gifts that God gives you.

If God gives you the gift of healing and you misuse it, he won't

take the gift away from you. You know what He'll do, just take

you away. You gotta understand it. Do you know? In the Great

Tenth Ministries of the fifties, there were many preachers who were given the gifts

of healing, of tremendous healings going on in the tent. But you know,

some of them turn out to be drunks, drunk, wife beaters,

da da da da dad whatever else. You know, God never took back

gift while they were drunk. In Jesus name be healed. The person would

still be healed because the gift is given. Then God gave them time to

change, and when they didn't change, he just took them away. God

is not someone we should play the fool with so not willing that any should

perish. Let's look at another scripture, John three sixteen, And this one

we all know for God's soul loved the world that he gave his only begotten

son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have ever lasting life.

So in a universe before we read that, God was willing or has

a willing, a desire that everyone be saved. But you see God,

it's not slack concerning his point, it's not irresponsible concerning his word. So

he did something about it. What did he do? He send his son.

So with God, that's no wishful thinking. You know when we sometimes

say something, I wish I had my own private jet and we spent a

whole a lot of time thinking about that's wishful thinking because will it ever come

to pass. No, unless you decide to work on something that gives you

the money with which you can get the plane, is just wishful thinking.

But God does not deal in wishful thinking. He said, I'm willing that

everyone should come to repentance. What did he do? He gave his only

begotten son, So he works from an area of responsibility with what he says

in John ten ten, he says, the thief and this one we heard

it just now. The thief does not come except to steal and to kill

and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they

may have it more abundantly. Now he goes one step. Whether God is

actually telling us that He's not just satisfied that we be saved. What he

wants us to do is or what he wants us to have is He wants

us to have an abundant life. Why would you need an abundant life in

heaven? There is no need for an abundant life in heaven because if you're

in heaven, life is already in abundance. So where do you need the

abundoned life? You need it here. You and I we need the abundant

life here. What is the abundant life? I don't know. It could

mean something else to you. For those of your students, the abundant life

could mean every time you put your pen to the exam paper, you come

out tops. For those of you who are working, every time you start

a project, it ends with if there were stars given, you'll get ten

stars. Abundoned life, because three stars is the norm. God doesn't believe

in just the norm. He believes in abundance. Doesn't Scriptures say given,

and she'll give it, be given to you good measure, press down,

running, shaking together, running over sugar point, But what does that mean

if you have a job sugar when you shake it and you pour more sugar.

Let's say you pour sugar into a glass first time, it's full,

right, you just leave it like that and says food, No, how

many of you will shake it? You shake it right, so you can

pour extra from the packet inside the sugar, because you want to put all

the sugar into the So shake you poor, you shake you poor, and

it comes a time when there's nothing left you can and then when you pour

it starts to spill over. God is like that, if you can believe

it, That's what God wants to be in your life. Someone that is

always pouring until it over flows. Now let's look at some bread and but

to concerns, are we moving along? Well? I hope we are.

In Matthew sixth studies says, now, if God'll close the grass of the

field, which is today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, really not

much more more clothed you over little faith. This is Matthew sixth study.

So these are brandain by the issues. Remember Masclo's hierarchic and we were talking

about it, right, Hey, God clothes the grass I don't remember scripture

telling me that Jesus died for the grass I? Don't It says in Matthew

sixty one. Therefore, do not worry saying what shall we eat, or

what shall we drink? Or what shall we wear? Matthew six thirty two.

For all these things a gentile sea for your hew. Any father knows

that you need all these things. And in Matthew six thirty two, but

seek you first the Kingdom of God in his righteousness, and all these things

shall be added unto you. How many of us around, how many of

us are skinny? No? No, you know? In fact, if

I would tell you from when I first saw you too, Now better be

watchful. Okay, when you look around, you don't see any skinny starving

people. Do you know what that means? He means that God honored his

promise. He says, why are you worried about your food? I mean

I feed the sparrows. Jesus did not die for the sparrows. So look

around it. You see anybody naked. You all have clothes. God kept

his promise every day we're living. When you get up from a bed,

do you realize that God is honoring his promises to us. You just have

to look in the mirror and you can see those promises are fulfilled. He

says, But siki first, the Kingdom of righteousness, and all these things

shall be added. Unto you? What things? All these things? All

these things? What does it mean by siki first? The Kingdom of God?

Well, Jesus dwells in us. Now. The more we become aware

of His presence in our lives, then the more we start to see things

being added to us, blessings being added to us. So is it that

you need more of God in your life? I do not believe that God

gives anything in half measures, because every good and perfect gift that God gives

us this one, it's perfect. The scriptures say every good and partial gift.

It does not. There was one preacher I heard who said, the

reason why we do not operate in the gifts that God has already given to

us is because we are ignorant. If you had a million dollars sitting in

the bank and nobody told you about it. And you need a ten dollars

just to get a prate of food, and nobody told you that you had

a million dollars in bank. What are you? You are ignorant that you

have everything that you need, not just ten dollars for a day. But

if it's ten dollars, it did, it's one hundred thousand days. You've

got food, okay, So seeky first the Kingdom of God, and all

these things be added unto you. This is not my message. We're getting

there. What is Jesus concern about us? And this is where the message

really starts. Everything else was just introduction. What is Jesus concern about you?

In John forty two we look at an outsider. Jesus went to this

well and he met with a woman, and he tells the woman, give

me a drink. Do you think that God that Jesus went to this well

because he was thirsty? If you read the scripture, you will find that

he never took a drink, So basically it was not about the drink that

he went to the well. He went to the well specifically to meet a

Samaritan woman. And when you know why he went to the well to meet

that Samaritan woman. Each and every day can be a life changer for you.

So he tells this woman, give me a drink, and it's a

fresh drink from the well. Or worship, not worship. That's a spelling

error. There is no such thing as worship your workship, no, no,

your worship, worship, all right, And so she did. The

woman says, you know, you don't have anything to draw from the well.

You know, how will you get a drink? So then Jesus tells

her, if you know who was asking you for drink, you to ask

him, you know. So this is how basically Jesus started the conversation with

something that would mean something to this woman because she went to the well to

get water, probably too drink. You don't know what the Lord's getting at.

Then he says, bring your husband. Jesus knows us through and through,

bring your husband. His focus was one not on out need, but

our need. Another spelling error. You know, my minor, I only

see it much later. But when I'm writing it, I can read away

it ten times, but my mind is seeing the correct word. You know,

I have to get away from it, and then only I can spot

the mistakes. So anyway, bring your husband. Jesus knows us through and

through His focus was our need and not our sane. Do you know what

was the woman's main question and desire in our heart? She said to Jesus,

the Jews say we gotta worship in Jerusalem. We say we gotta worship

in this mountain. What does Jesus say? He said, the day is

coming? Or the truth is that man will not worship either there or here,

but will worship in spirit and in truth. What drew Jesus to meet

the woman was that woman's burning desire to know about worship. See, you've

gotta understand this because when she perceived that this was a man of God,

her first question was how shall I worship? Meaning that how can I get

closer to God? Did you realize that? And now Jesus is actually telling

her worship is in spirit and in truth. Yeah, and he's bringing husband.

She says, I don't have a husband. Jesus said, wow,

you're telling the truth now, because you've had five and the one you're living

with is not your husband. This was a woman who we would know or

call as an adult. Run now adults, Why because she had five husbands.

The one she was living with now because not a husband. You think

they were just housemates. They were roommates, not roommates in different rooms in

one house. There were roommates in one room in the same house. But

I want you to know that what Jesus bothered about that. You know,

we get so caught up a count that God is so interested in our faults

and our sins, because if he was like that, which we think,

he would not have gone to see that woman. In fact, this scripture

proves that God, that Jesus cannot be bothered about race, because the disciples

came and were surprised to firstly see him talking with a woman, which means

he never talked with one without their presence. Safety number two a Samaritan woman

at that And what was Jesus revealing? So us we do we decide which

races we can be close to, in which races we should not be close

to. My wife's father told her he can marry anybody, but don't marry

Eurasin. You know who should marriage? Marry Eurasins? Different kind of Eurasian.

I don't drink, I don't smoke because urations have a repetition whying woman

in soul. Oh, Jesus did not count that as important lovely about him?

Okay, I want you to just I'm going to tell you something.

Remember I said that if you get this right, going to change your life.

The question about worship leads to the question of the Messiah. You know,

Bible says you know the Messiah is coming Jesus, I'm he Do you

realize that when you worship, you get a revelation of the Messiah and that

gives you purpose and direction. The woman, I believe, ran to the

towel, and what does it say? An encounter with Jesus made her an

evangelist because she actually told the whole town about him. This isn't that?

Isn't that what an evangelist does, goes and tell the whole town about who

Jesus and they came and what did they say? We no longer believe because

of what you say. We believe it for ourselves. You and I we

get up out of bed when our thought is about worshiping the Lord. That

purpose in direction will turn us into evangelists. And then we wonder when the

Lord said, go into the world making disciples believe its all nations believe,

disciples of all nations baptizing them the Father, the name of the Fathers of

the Holy Spirit. We wonder about that. How does it happen? Because

there's worship in our lives becomes easy? Okay, let's move on. Yeah,

I'm gonna move on a little bit quicker. John eight one to eleven.

The why, I'll cover this very fast. This is about them.

The adultress that was brought before the Lord. You know, this woman was

caught in adultery. The Lord Moses says that we should stolen. So what

do you say. I want you to know the world is always accusing you.

The world is always setting you up. This woman was set up.

You know why the man was not brought before Jesus. Why is it the

woman only brought before Jesus? Doesn't the man being with the woman make him

an adulter as well? So where was he? It was a plan.

Don't you realize when you're gettingto trouble somehow are you getting too trouble? You

all alone? The purple people who are with you while the trouble was being

developed, not around because you are being set up. It's an old trick.

It's an old trick. Let me tell you how. Jesus response,

Okay, it is lovely, you know how it was. Jesus response,

he couldn't be bothered. Jesus couldn't be bothered. You know who is the

first doodler. I think it's Jesus. He's just writing in the ground.

Could be bothered. Yeah, all these complaints. Then find me. When

he feels enough is enough, he just says, okay, la, go

ahead, you without stone, you without seeing Custopher's stone. Then he continues

writing in the can't be bothered. Jesus doesn't pay attention. Can't be bothered

with the accusations that are coming up against you, because he has this in

mind. What does he have in mind? Find me? When everybody is

left, he looks up and he says, woman, So where he accuses,

there's not left. Jesus he says, I'm also not here to accuse

you. Go and say no more. I want you to realize something about

this. Jesus is not about catching us doing wrong. He is about forgiving

us. When we live our lives as Christians, Let's not live our lives

out to catch somebody else doing wrong. Let's always live our lives to have

a heart of forgiveness. If you can live your life like that, you

will not be fighting with your family members. There will not be disunity among

the family. And let's look at the last last one of Jesus, because

Jesus got many concerns a gay I just speak three John fifteen twenty one,

fifteen to seventeen. This is the part where Jesus is restoring Peter. Peter

had denied him three times and now gone back to fishing. How many of

you think Peter was a rat for denying the Lord? Okay, honestly,

if you think that put the short heads? How many of you think that

Peter was a rat? From the nine Jesus Okay, I see at least

three three heads, Peter was the only one that had the courage to even

go to where Jesus was when that night was going through? Where were all

the other disciples nowhere to be seen? So when we want to be hard

on Peter, let's remember that Peter is a type really of ourselves. We

want so much to be close to the Lord, but my actions always tell

a different story. So actually Peter is more reflective of us than anybody else.

And I want you to know what happened. Peter, do you love

me? Peter said, yes, Lord, I love you. So the

first question that Peter asks that Jesus asks. Peter answers, yes, I

love Mean what does Jesus say, He says, feed my lambs? Well,

let me break it down. Well done, Peter. Your first reaction

lets me know that you are ready to feed little ones. You are ready

to feed the young ones, the babies in my kingdom. And is Jesus

satisfied with that? He wants Peter to know there's much more, so he

has to draw it out from Peter. Peter, do you love me?

Yes, Lord, I love you. And now after the second time,

Jesus tells him, tend my sheep. So with the second comes what you

can do with the first and the second. Peter had enough in him to

feed babies and to tend to older ones, clean up after them, look

after them, guide them, you know. And now Jesus wants more for

Peter. And you know that every time the Lord asks us for things are

usually when we get frustrated and we give the answers just before something big is

about to happen. So, if I were you, if the Lord keeps

asking you the same thing over and over again. Just hang on. Something

good's about it. Come so now, God asks Peter. Jesus asks Peter

the third time, Peter, do you love me? And Peter grieved.

Peter was upset a little bit, and he says, oh God, you

know all things truth. Jesus, you know all things truth. Praise God

that at least Peter had the sense to answer with truth, you know all

things. You know that I love you. And here I believe Jesus is

smiling and saying, well done, because you know that I know all things.

I want you now to feed the grown ups, feed my sheep.

You see, the Kingdom of God is not about remaining at baby and land

level. Jesus wants to take us up to be sheeps in his kingdom,

to be grown ups. And that restoration of Peter is wonderful because if we

are a type of Peter, imagine what kind of blessings that we have coming

our way that when the ultimate is to be able to feed the young ones,

tend and feed all ones as well. Do you you have it in

you to feed somebody else? You better believe it. You better believe it

because remember I said, God gives incompleteness, He doesn't give him partiality,

impartial bits and pieces. And with that those are Jesus concerns for us.

For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord.

God knows when God swears, he swears by himself, because there's nobody higher

so he so he says, I know the thoughts that I have for you,

says the Lord. Thoughts of peace, not of evil, which means

you know why the strength and this comes. Anything evil coming your way has

never been God's thoughts for you. Very easy to overcome now. So because

you know it's not God's God's thought for you, you can quite clearly come

to the Lord's in Lord, I know this is not your thought for me.

Your thought for me is peace and a future and a hope. So

it may seem like I got nowhere to go. I don't trust what I

see. I trust your word. I got a future, no hope.
