You're listening to a message to go from X Church. We hope this message

will light up your team. And I just want to bring you a word
-
of encouragement this morning. And you know that it's it's Mission's month, right,
-
and I thought we will be very practical about it and you know the
-
verse really, so we'll do that a little bit. But for now,
-
I'm thinking, maybe can you find a partner where you're sitting right now?
-
Just yeah, someone next to you that you're going to do something, wait
-
for a shot while Okay, can can find a partner? Find a partner?
-
Right? Find a partner? Just yeah? It turned around. If
-
you don't know your neighbor, this is a good time to say hello.
-
Can I be your partner for the next one minute? Okay? Okay,
-
find pinnerady not come, not be participated with. I don't see you will
-
fall asleep right before lunchum are okay? Okay? Find someone? Find a
-
partner that you have a great great okay, young people, that's right,
-
going for it. Okay. If we're gonna do a sales peach, okay,
-
hey, I'm how many sales people here are? Yo? I've only
-
got one person with the rest of you would train you la how to do
-
sales. Sales very important. Right. We are in a business of selling.
-
Did you know that? Oh oh yeah, very loud the salesman say,
-
only the salesman believes in it. Right, It's all about the sales,
-
okay, it's all about marketing and sales. Now. I want you,
-
in the next thirty seconds to convince your partner. Right, thirty seconds,
-
ony la, very fast one, give them at least three reasons why
-
they should go for missions in the next six months. After thirty seconds,
-
then you switch to right, you try and convince your other partner. Okay,
-
okay. Are we ready got your salespeaech ready, ready sales spash reddy
-
okay ready the partner number one, you can start your sales speech right now.
-
Okay, go thirty seconds, ony okay. Time to switch partner,
-
Switch partner thirty seconds five, four, three, two one okay, okay,
-
okay. Your practice session over, practice session over now okay. How
-
many of you are convinced to go for our mission trip in the next six
-
months. Let me see your hands and the rest of you fail your sales
-
switch cars okay, leap chicken okay, one, don't three how many of
-
you are convinced to go for missions this year at least the next six months?
-
Okay, I have that this left side very good, This lefts like
-
very good, this side not very convinced? Lah? Yeah, okay,
-
well done, thank you, thank you, thank you? Okay? Yeah?
-
Can I hear some of your convincing sales speech? What are the reasons
-
why you say? You know? How did you manage to convince your partner?
-
Lah? Tell me tell me, ah, listener, If you don't
-
go, then you'll be like jonnah and then you'll be solid up by fish?
-
Ah? Okay, that one convince you? Is it? Rachel?
-
The one convince you? Is it? Okay? Okay? Don't want to
-
be solid up by a fish? The reason? Okay? What else?
-
What else? Oh? It is God's Holy? Are you subscripture? You
-
listen to him? Is it? Okay? Okay? Well done? What's
-
your what's your name? Tristan? Young men there managed to convince cocorder to
-
go mission? Threat? Well done? Well that it makes you go?
-
It's just not your lip up your hands? Wanna God? So you know?
-
And we have both to evidence, ha ha ha ha caught you,
-
caught you? What else? What else? What what what does some other
-
reasons that you gave to convince your partner? What else? What else?
-
Sorry? Food? Oh go because there's good food. Okay? Anyone convinced
-
by that? Only if you go to Thailand? Right? Our bank?
-
God? Who wants to go? Bank? God? Okay that I want
-
you all want to go? Okay? See, the thing is right.
-
We can give a lot of reasons, and you know, try and convince
-
someone there is a good reason to go, right, uh, and you
-
know we have the ultimate reason. It's God's word. And yet or less
-
would say yes. But you see, the thing is right. You know
-
when when when you are confronted with this question, when you're trying to convince
-
someone, I don't I don't know how convinced you are in the first place.
-
True, right, you can just do it as an exercise, right,
-
but how convinced are you really? And these are some of the reasons
-
right why? I think in my own hand and at least it's true for
-
me some parts of my life of why we can go. Right, let's
-
go through some of it. I don't have time or leave you stuff already,
-
go holiday, staycation, I don't have money. Are you go?
-
Mission treat must spend money one No, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay,
-
what else? It's not the important la, right in my season of
-
life. You know, I just got married. Come on, you ask
-
me to leave my wife and go for mission? No, I say bring
-
her along. Someone else can go. Good for them, well done,
-
neighbor, and the neighbors are very good at They're all going to you.
-
Guys are cheering them on, right, Okay, okay, I know.
-
I know my children are too young. Oh okay, I had young children
-
at one point. They're growing older or I'm too old. You're not not
-
on yet. I see all of you here for young people. Right.
-
No one is going with me alone? La. My friend never signed up.
-
No, how can I go alone? I'm not called to be a
-
missionary? Come on? You know? Calling on? No, this missionary
-
thing must be must be a gift. My gift is staying put. I
-
can't speak the language of a bas are very difficult. Oh, I can't
-
teach kids. Worst. It's like I don't like kids because every time you
-
got mission trip right, Oh, here's kids ministry? Correct? Okay?
-
And funny thing after the service, when I shared this with the other church
-
plan, someone came to me, it's actually right. None of the reasons
-
apply to me. I'm like, oh good, are you going no because
-
I don't like the te toilets. I'm like, ah, yeah, I
-
didn't put that up I didn't put that up there. And then she said
-
another thing, oh a reviewful like she she said this other thing. You
-
know, She's like, I don't like going in teams because it's so structured.
-
La. You know, you know there's always a program to follow.
-
I just want to do my thing in my heart. I'm like, okay,
-
it's holidays. Are you looking for a holiday? You're looking for a
-
holiday? Then I guess this is not it, La. See. The
-
thing is where we can come up with multiple reasons why we cannot go yes,
-
all of us, all of us. And when I'm speaking this to
-
you, I'm speaking this to myself as well. I'll be the first to
-
admit it's not been easier. It's not always at the foremost of my thoughts
-
as well. Right, let me ask you another question. Okay, honestly,
-
are you answer honestly for yourself? Does it matter if someone hears the
-
gospel at least once in their lifetime? Does it matter? Ask yourself that
-
does it matter? Okay again, hate answer is yes correct? Hart answer
-
don't know? Yeah, I don't know. Right. We can answer all
-
correy answers here right, just like how I can answer all not say all
-
corre answers are to get exempt questions right. You can answer and you can
-
pass. But I wonder in this test of life, when God really comes
-
back and asks us, what will we answer? Right? Did your neighbor
-
here the gospel? Did you share it at least once with them? Right?
-
Does it matter to God? I think we know this right, And
-
I'm going to read this so that you will all memorize it into our hearts.
-
Matty twenty eight, verse sixteen to eighteen to twenty. Let's read this,
-
okay. Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain
-
which Jesus had appointed for them, and when they saw him, they worship
-
him. But I want you to take note of this. But some doubt
-
it. Jesus can be here right now, and we could have worshiped him,
-
but some would have doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them,
-
saying, all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
-
Let's read this together it was nineteen. Go therefore and make disciples of all
-
the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son
-
and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have
-
commanded you. And Lo, I am with you always, even to the
-
end of the age. Amen, even right, I don't know how many
-
of you. You'll probably be hearing these a lot more times, so I'm
-
preempting you first. Okay, just memorize this already, all right, Yeah,
-
you'll be hearing it next week as well, and also the last week
-
during Michel's come friends, because this is what Jesus said, right. And
-
as I was thinking about this, I became a bit curious. Okay,
-
I encourage you to be curious. Can we do that. I don't want
-
you to just take it and say, oh, yeah, this is what
-
she said, Because what's gonna happen. It's gonna go like that, and
-
go like that before you walk out here in the next thirty minutes, right,
-
I want you to engage your heart in your mind and ask Scott,
-
what are you saying to me right now? So I became heres and I
-
wanted to know what, how did the other gospels record this right, because
-
we only know Matthew n Usually do you know what mark En Luke says,
-
I don't know, right, Okay, let's go to that. I do
-
the homebok for you. Okay, let's read Luke twenty four. This is
-
the end of the Gospel of Luke twenty four, verses for forty six to
-
forty nine. It says this. Then he said to them, this is
-
Jesus. Thus it is written, And thus it is. It was necessary
-
for the Christ to suffer and to raise, to rise from the day the
-
third Day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His
-
name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of
-
these things. Behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you.
-
But terry in the city of Jerusalem until you're endued with power from on high.
-
Amen. So this is what the end of Luke twenty four. This
-
is the end of the gospel. And this is what Jesus said. What
-
what what is the what is the commandment given by Jesus to us that we
-
should go in look at this verse? What should we do? What should
-
we be doing? Look? Look at this verse. Even give you answer?
-
Radio answer? Is there? Answer? Is that bold and underline?
-
Okay, a very good teacher. Okay, bold underlie, give you answer?
-
What should you be doing preaching repentance and remission of sins? Correct?
-
Is it written in the Word of God? So what what kind of message
-
should we be preaching to our friends, our neighbors who don't know him yet?
-
Repentance and remission of sins? Wow, it's so hot. They never
-
teach me this. Never mind, you are here to teach you now,
-
right? And you are what? What are you supposed to be? Witnesses?
-
I believe as a church we have gone through different homes notes right,
-
we have shared about how can you be a witness and basically witness? What
-
are you witnessing about? You're witnessing about Christ when two thousand years ago?
-
You're witnessing about Christ now? And how is Christ operating now? Holy Spirit?
-
In whose life? Your neighbor's life? No? In your life?
-
Hey, guys, When you're witnessing, you are witnessing about what God is
-
doing in your life? Can you do that? No? Do you have
-
a story to share? More than a story? You have multiple stories.
-
The thing is what are you sharing? What are you sharing? Those of
-
you who are a lot on social media? Right, come on, come
-
on right now, tweet it saying we should be doing this. Tweet it's
-
not not so young people? Right a TikTok it. I don't know why
-
are on it? Something? No? No exit? Right change nor mouth?
-
The third is exing it. So what are we doing actually with what
-
our resources? What are the resources that we have? Right now? Everyone?
-
The last I check, you still have a mouth? Yes, oh
-
god? Oh God? Everyone still got mouth? Still got voice? Or
-
not? Oh god? Law? Then we can do something about it,
-
right, we can use it. We can use it for God's glory.
-
You got your finger, your keyboard, your phone, and then use it
-
for God's glory. I don't know. Sometimes we are so quick to pass
-
on different things, right, I don't know what you pose on your social
-
media? Is it preaching about repentance for our SUSA? Like, how do
-
we become witnesses? Witnessing is easier about your life? Right? What God
-
has done for you? Now? I think what's more important is who gave
-
this commandment? Okay, this one y'all should know the answer. Who gave
-
this commandment to go and make disciples who who gave the commandment Jesus. Yes,
-
how many here say that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. Can
-
I see you raise your hand? You say you are a follower of Jesus
-
Christ. Okay, most of you. And if you believe and you profess
-
that Jesus Christ is your lord, then you gotta follow him right, Yes,
-
And following him and being a disciple of Jesus Christ means obeying him.
-
Yes, you know. It's like parenting, law, parenting, parenting.
-
Okay. I speak to many parents here. And if you tell your son
-
go and throw the rabbish, okay, the son can say, I love
-
you, mom, and then you sit down, son going through rubbish.
-
I love you, mom. I'm praying to you. I'm worshiping you.
-
You know, you know, I'm doing well in my school. I'm getting
-
all straight a's, mom, can't you see? And Mom's I say,
-
lo, day throw the rabbish. Laugh, and you're like, but I
-
love you? How how is that coherent? Do you see that? And
-
many times we take God's work like that. God says go very clearly,
-
go, and we're like God, I love you. I come to church
-
every Sunday, I'm going to church. Okay, that's for step. But
-
when you come to church, see the test is this right? So for
-
me, the test is this. If I take God's commment literally as something
-
that he wants me to do. The only way I can tell God that
-
I mean it when I say I love him is when I obey. Yes,
-
parents, your son or your daughter can see anything to you, But
-
until they obey you, there is no evidence of that love. Correct,
-
there is no evidence. It's just works. Anyone can see anything. We've
-
seen so many weddings lately. Okay, we've attended many weddings looping on myself,
-
and it's so nice on the wedding day. I love you to the
-
morning back you know. I will buy you snack at two way I am
-
got out in the avousona you know, truth, pick and thin. I
-
will be with you. I will play video games with you. Woh was
-
so nice on wedding day. Wedding day, three weeks later, three years
-
later, how about thirty years later? Will you still do it? Or
-
is it just empty words? Profession We are very easy with words, lah,
-
but words in that sensor, if unaccompanied by action, is worthless.
-
So Let's not have faith without works. And that's what James says, right,
-
faith without works is dead. You can say I believe you knew Jesus,
-
I believe you can cast out demons. I believe you can heal,
-
but then you don't do anything about it. That's not taking God at his
-
word because you don't believe what he says. Because if you truly believe God
-
can heal. Right, the moment you hear of your colleague or your family
-
member who's sick, what would you do? You're going pray? Right,
-
you will go and pray. Can I pray for you? Know? I
-
believe my God can heal your cancer? Do you dare to profess that?
-
Don't just say you believe? Would you act on your belief? Would you
-
act on your belief? Right? Because at the heart of it, you
-
know, when I was praying to go out, how how do we want
-
to bring forward this message? And it says it's just obedience. It is
-
a heart of obedience. See the things right? The church can have many
-
things. Okay, we have things in stuff for you. You can serve
-
in church, you can go for a mission strip and all that. But
-
this is just a platform for you to exercise obedience. It's a platform.
-
If the church doesn't do it, that I don't know what we're doing.
-
You know, this is not me trying to sell you a program. This
-
is not me trying to sell everyone. Sign up for Missions conference. By
-
the way, do sign up. Okay, that's just by the way,
-
because you can attend every conference. But without your heart being compelled by the
-
Lord himself, right, then that's not true obedience to God. Lah because
-
again who said this. It's not Pasta Kenneth. You know it's not Pasta
-
Sandra. All the mission's pastor is Jesus himself. So my question to you
-
is do you believe Jesus? Do you believe Jesus? You know his heart.
-
In second Peter, he says the Lord is not slack. In verse
-
nine, second Peter, try verse and the Lord is not slack concerning his
-
promise as some counts slackness. But it's long suffering towards us, not willing,
-
not willing. This is God's heart, not willing that any should perish,
-
but that all should come to repentance. Amen. Amen, Amen,
-
God wants everyone to come to a place of repentance. I want to touch
-
a little bit on this matter of repentance. Right, tell me what you
-
understand about this word repentance. That's the first thing that comes to your mind
-
when we talk about repentant, being repentant, forgiveness. Thank you? What
-
else? Change you turn? Good? Good? What else? What else?
-
Sin? Yes? Someone say that? Great? We need to know
-
what we are preaching people to repentance to. Right. I think that's the
-
ground one, ground zero. If we don't understand what that is, we
-
would know how to share. You know, in my years of being walking
-
with the Lord and reading the Bible, I've come to this place. I've
-
come to this place and I just want to be a bit careful when I
-
share the word of God with someone who doesn't know him. I don't want
-
The first place that I learned to is God loves you. Oh, oh
-
my gosh. Controversy. What you mean we shouldn't tell them God loves them?
-
Not yet, not at the start. You know why? You know
-
why because in today's world and today's understanding, the word love is very cheap.
-
You go to a restaurant and you have grateful, I love this food.
-
Right, You go for a nice ride, You're like, oh,
-
I love this vacation. I love this rollercoaster, right, I love it.
-
You know you have a very cute puppy. I love this puppy so
-
cute. I love you. Love has been cheapened to an experience. And
-
when we come and we tell them God loves you, what you're thinking in
-
your mind, what is going on in your mind is an experience, right,
-
And that's why you can hear a lot of people say, but I
-
don't feel God, war I don't feel him because Indian mind, love is
-
a feeling. Let see like that, right, I don't feel this man,
-
and therefore God is not real. So do you see why when we
-
preach God's love to people, they will just equip God to this. And
-
therefore, when my prayers are not answered, I want a boyfriend, Ian
-
boyfriend, give me a rich boyfriend. You know, I'm like forty years
-
old. I want a husband. I want a husband, and give me
-
a husband. Don't have right, they're like, but the God didn't answer
-
me. That means he doesn't love me. Can you understand how shallow this
-
love is? If you live your life as a Christian just depending on this
-
love without understanding the full depth of God's love is very dangerous because then you're
-
You're Christian world will be like that. Correct. I don't feel him,
-
I feel him, I don't feel him. I feel like I love you.
-
I don't love you. I love you, I don't love you.
-
Wow, young people, you cannot depend your faith on feelings. Faith is
-
faith. Feelings is subset. God gave us feelings. We acknowledge it,
-
but that's not who we are. Fully, we are people of faith.
-
We are not people led by feelings. And that's why I believe that the
-
first place that we should go when we talk to people is recognizing their brokenness
-
without preaching that there is brokenness in their lives, that there is a need
-
for God, then there is no need for a savior. Correct. Why
-
do you need a savior when everything in your life is perfect? Correct?
-
Now, if everything in your life is like, oh, you know everything
-
on your IG up to date, right, I don't know that the nicest
-
things, the coolest toys, the best vacations, Hey need God or not?
-
No? Need that? Everything I have? Really? Why why do
-
I need God? But? Do you know that as you talk to people
-
and you get to as you build relationship with them and you get to know
-
them, do you know that all of them there is a need within them.
-
There is always a hunger. There's always a question why are what is
-
all this for? No matter how many zeros you have in your bank account,
-
and these are zeros at the back, I'm not zeros in a front.
-
Okay, zeros at the bega. There is always that longing, that
-
longing that God, only God can fulfill. So so the repentance right is
-
a change of mind. It's not just saying, oh, I'm sorry I
-
kicked you, you know, like yeah, I kick the dog, Oh
-
I'm sorry I stole a pen from school. It's not that it's changing your
-
mind to say, not my way, not how I run my life,
-
but how God wants me to run my life. Amen? Do you understand
-
that repentance is changing your mind about things of life that is truly repenting.
-
And when I say the word repenting, it means repent yesterday, repent today,
-
repent tomorrow, go on repenting until you reach perfection when Jesus comes back.
-
Amen. Repentance is not one time. You know why because thirty years,
-
forty years, fifty years of living in this life, we've accumulated a
-
lot of wrong thinking. Correct. How we think about life, how we
-
think about priorities, how we think about using our money, how we think
-
about our careers, how we think about my great thing. I don't know
-
a lot of people want to my great nowadays. I don't know. If
-
it's a call from God, then go right? But what are you going?
-
Four right? Which is kind of like where I want to go?
-
This is a matter of your belief, okay. And Jesus was very,
-
very very strong in rebuking unbeliefs in our lives. All right, Let's look
-
at matth twenty eight in verse seventeen. This is just as just as Christ
-
gave the last commandment. He says this, and when they saw him,
-
they worshiped him, but some doubted. Remember I highlighted this already, that
-
there are some of us here who are doubt this. Ask yourself, am
-
I doubting something here? In Mark sixteen fourteen, he says later he appeared
-
to the eleventh as they sat at the table, and he rebuilt Who rebuilt?
-
Jesus? He rebuilt their unbelief and hardness of heart? I wonder how
-
many of us our hearts here have been hard? And heart means you know
-
you're probably hearing this, and you go like, yeah, but this isn't
-
a to me. That is hardness of your heart. Look twenty four today,
-
seventh stays and he said to them, why are you troubled? And
-
why do doubts arise in your hearts? Do you know I can't see your
-
hearts? But Jesus can. He can, and right now he's looking at
-
your heart. So just take it at this time, you're having a conversation
-
with the Lord Jesus. The more I think about our theme this year,
-
Heaven rules, you know, the more I think about God, how much
-
do I know of you? How much do I long and desire for your
-
kingdom to really rule on this earth? How much? How much? Lord?
-
How much do you know? We had our elections yesterday and tomorrow you're
-
off right, publicity, that's all we're looking forward to, right, public
-
holiday. No, some of you need to work. But are you worried
-
with the that's Are you worried with how things seems to be shaky? Okay,
-
some of you say no because you don't care. But I'm not from
-
slang or. I think it's a good wake up call. It's a good
-
wake up call for everyone to say, nothing is permanent, and we shouldn't
-
sit and think that everything's going to be okay. I mean, right now
-
we are comfortable. Yes, when I speak to churches chay like as do,
-
I speak to a lot of just like it. Anyways, when I
-
speak to different church plans, when I minister, I really sense that we
-
are a and we are we are a middle class income church. Yes,
-
nice ecorn, comfortable seats. You know, the team really tried, you
-
know, so hard to put this place really nice for all of us to
-
enjoy. And that's good and well, and we thank God for the provision,
-
you know, and God's leading in the But I find it's true that
-
unless we go out of these four walls, we will remain very comfortable.
-
We will remain very apathetic, which means you don't care. We will remain
-
just whatever will be will be, and life just goes on for us right
-
in our little world that revolves around our families, which revolves around our little
-
community, and we're not able to see beyond and see bigger. And that's
-
why when I married my husband, who has a heart for the community,
-
cannot help but be right off Nila, right right, It cannot be that
-
my husband is out. And then I'm like, oh, yeah, it's
-
okay. He's called I'm not remember the excuses that we can have. It's
-
like, okay, one person in the family, dude, right, he
-
will he will win the brownie points for the family or protect this family because
-
the husband's going out. Okay, by the way, husband's please lead the
-
way and go. And so he's obeying God and he's going. He's he's
-
a he's a man on the ground. He loves going out. He doesn't
-
like staying in office doing at me work, but that's what he has to
-
do sometimes. But he's always out. He's out. After sixteen years of
-
being married. I hope that has dropped off a little bit off me because
-
I am not the going out type. Honestly, can I be very honest
-
with you. I'm not not that I am uncomfortable or whatnot. It's just
-
there's seasons in your life, right. I'm like, oh, yeah,
-
I'm a mom, I have young kids. I should be home, right,
-
someone should stay home and hold the part together. And yes, that
-
was true for a season. That was true for a season. Now I'm
-
in a different season. Now I'm like, hey, hey, kids,
-
all independently de la Okay, I can go, and that means I should
-
go right, and and so so I began to ask God, and I
-
began to pray this prayer. And I think, right, many of us,
-
if anything you can leave from today is to say God, I want
-
to pray this prayer, because to even pray the prayer is difficult. As
-
a first step. The prayer is like this. The prayer is saying,
-
God, you asked me to go, show me where, show me how,
-
show me who. That's it. That's it. It's a prayer that
-
I did not pray for many years because you know, it's it's it's it's
-
easy to say. Everyone else going like young people go right, all the
-
youth goal for youth missions, you know. And then if you're training certain
-
things, you go out you know in fact, right, some people when
-
I ask them, you know, are you going on mission street, They're
-
like no, But my mission field is the market play. Okay. A
-
lot of people like to say that, okay, good good. Let me
-
ask you when you go out into your marketplace whether it fits this framework or
-
what Jesus called us to do, because if it doesn't, then don't lie
-
to yourself and say your marketplace is your ministry law because you're just going there
-
mainly to get a paycheck. Right, I'm not saying it's wrong. Hey.
-
By the way, I was in a corporate for fourteen and a half
-
years. Okay, I was working out in the corporate for fourteen a half
-
years. I'd decided decided to step out, step into something more rocky.
-
But my rock is Jesus. I left something a bit more rockyler the rocky.
-
The rock is Jesus, and he has challenged my faith in different ways.
-
You know, it's it's a lot about letting go. It's about letting
-
go of your old belief. God can provide for our familiar do you know
-
My husband has been in full time since we had our first daughter, And
-
in that sense, I was sort of like the main break winner chee,
-
if you can say that. But after that many years, in twenty sixteen
-
onwards, I had a calling a nutche in my heart, God saying I
-
think it's time for you to go. It's time for you to go,
-
leave your comfort zone. I was working with a big corporate JELC, paid
-
super well, very comfortable, excellent, health benefits, excellent. You're asking
-
me to leave this, and God says, go and do you know that
-
you can only taste and see the goodness of God when you obey? Yes,
-
because you can hear a lot of people, Oh, why you got
-
brick? True, why you got testimony? You know? How come you
-
got this? And then and you're going like, what about me? God?
-
Did you forget about me? Right? Did you forget about me?
-
And God is like no, you go take one step and I'm waiting.
-
I'm waiting for you to take that first step because I want to pour out
-
so much more until you're willing to go to the next level. Hey,
-
you know computer games, right? How many gamers do we have here?
-
Yeah? Yeah, God, God, Yeah, I'd like to play game.
-
I'm not knocking games at Games are good for your brains. You finished
-
level fifty, you want to go level fifty one? Or you two?
-
Cooper dy If let's say there's one hundred level, feel dedicated? Oh?
-
Nothing, nothing, nothing, This is game discussion going on a validated Oh
-
okay, okay, good games, games that train your mind, strategy and
-
all that. Okay, okay, do you do you know if there's one
-
hundred level you finished level fifty, do you stop and say, oh,
-
I achieve my goal. Done, I'm done with this game. No,
-
no, you want to go to the next level, right, oh,
-
some people say nola, Okay. Then the challenge is to go, okay,
-
go to the next level, go to because if you're playing in this
-
safe level things that you know, you want to play back? Level one?
-
Is it? Level two again? Level three? Again? Is it
-
where you want to play? You want to go to the next level.
-
So you understand this with faith is the same thing. You understand one truth
-
and God says, yes, I know you're very good at this already.
-
Yes, you honor your parents, very good. Next one, God,
-
love your neighbor, neighbor, Go to the next level, go to the
-
you build your faith. You don't straight away become a spiritual giant. Guys,
-
am I speaking to you here. You don't overnight become a spiritual giant.
-
It's your everyday decision, it's your everyday steps. Where are you leading
-
to? And one day before you know, you look back and go like,
-
whoa, look at all the tiny steps that I took each day that
-
were steps of faith, not of fear. Because many of this reason and
-
excuses is saying God, I don't believe. It's fear. If I go,
-
you know, I cannot enjoy my holiday. That's fear. You're fearing
-
that you're missing out. You're fearing that you don't have finances, You're fearing
-
that your children cannot take it. I tell you Rachel has brought her kids
-
out. I brought my kids out when they were young. It builds something
-
within you. It builds something for them, for them, for them to
-
see beyond right. And when I when I think about it, God,
-
You're so good. Right. Do you know God's commandments are good? Amen?
-
Do you believe that every commandment is good? You're like, oh no,
-
but you know this one really takes up time and it will, you
-
know, mess up my schedule, take out my weekends right now that we're
-
going out into the community. But it's for your own good. I realized
-
that it's from my own good. So I use this now as a framework
-
to wake up every morning. Say, God, you said to go four
-
things right? What are the four things? Go? Make disciples baptize on
-
this one. Not many of us can do every day right, but teaching
-
them to observe all that God commandment has commanded us to do. I used
-
that now as a framework for my daily life. Would you be challenged to
-
do this for yourself if you really believe this is God's commandment for you?
-
Yes? Do you believe this as God's commandment for you? Remember who said
-
it is Jesus? And I want you to come to this place where Jesus
-
you are telling me today right now, this is my commandment to you.
-
Go make disciples, baptize them, teaching them to obey. How are we
-
doing this? Every day? I ask myself this every week? God,
-
how have I been going and not just going anywhere, not just going for
-
a holiday. God, even if I've been going to church, God,
-
how am I making disciples? Because your purpose of going is to make disciples?
-
How am I discipling someone? God? You know, at one stage
-
of my life, right I was so convicted of this I actually wrote down
-
every day in my conversation with different ones, whether I'm discipling someone or not.
-
I want, I really wanted to get serious with God. I'm like
-
God, if this is your command and if I say that I am a
-
fellow of Jesus Christ and I'm your servant God, then I just need to
-
obey. Help me, Help me, help me. Guys, we cannot
-
do this on our own, stranging man. That's why we have the help
-
of the Holy Spirit. So every day I'm the holies Barry Hell who when
-
what to say? I don't know what to say. Many times there's this
-
girl that I'm am on message with. She has many questions about her existence
-
in life, you know, and she's taking all this teaching from the world.
-
You know. It's like, it's just your consciousness. You just have
-
to remove yourself from your consciousness. I'm like, what conscious nonsense is this?
-
Ah? But never mind. I see it as an opportunity to disciple.
-
So I bring in God's truth. I bring in Genesis. You know,
-
in my conversation, I tell you this is what God says. This
-
is God's truth. The reason why there is darkness and confusion in the lives
-
of people in the world is because they have no God's word, don't have
-
truth without the light of God's word. It's everything's just so confusing, no
-
meaning. Do you know the Bible has everything, all the answers, Jenesis
-
to Revelation, all the answers are there. Do we know God's word?
-
Right? So I find myself acting. Who can I disciple today? Right?
-
Who can I teach? To observe God's commandment? And as I was
-
driving to execate this money, I'm like, Okay, I'm going to another
-
land which is far away. You know, I hope to make disciples out
-
of you. Amen, teaching you too, observe all that Jesus has commanded
-
you to do, me to do. Amen. This is for all of
-
us. I think we cannot afford to say I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ
-
and yet not go and not yet make disciples. If you don't know how
-
great, come up to your leaders here, say what can I do?
-
Where can I go? How can I make disciples? How can I teach?
-
If that's your gifting? Right? Many of you have the gift of
-
teaching in the fightful ministry? Say how can I teach? And you know
-
the beauty why I love doing what I do. So some of you may
-
know that I'm a trainer and a coach as well. I love teaching because
-
it makes me accountable to what I teach, because before I teach it,
-
I need to live it. Do you know I cannot say all these things
-
before you and before God, before I am convicted of myself and I've repented
-
of my own ways and saying God, you know I used to be like
-
that. But I'm here to tell you God wants you to repent and to
-
change our thinking, to change our ways. And so this is a new
-
way of thinking. Yes, it's a new framework to think about you when
-
So that's why I say, if you say your marketplace is your ministry,
-
I want to challenge you to put this. As you are going to your
-
marketplace, are you going in to make disciples? It's a whole different prayer
-
right every morning. Now you're not praying, God, help me finish my
-
deadline, God, help me get that project, God help me to make
-
that deal? Is God? God? How am I making disciples through all
-
of that? Every day? In my conversation, they are opportunities. The
-
moment you pray, let me tell this, God will open your eyes.
-
The challenge is the problem is we don't want to pray because we don't want
-
God to speak to us, because we don't want to hear his answer.
-
You know, correct not? I know, Oh he's smelling smelling on.
-
God has spoken to you, because it's hard to want to take that first
-
step to obey. But our challenge is obedience God. God's looking for partners
-
in his house. Amen. And do you know you know I was thinking
-
about this this morning. Right, many of us young people here, I
-
don't know, we can be very caught up in body building, right,
-
Okayla, I don't know. You know, it's it's a lot about health,
-
it's about eating well, body building. I wonder how many of us
-
behind it, like yeah, yeah, body building right? Nah? Okay,
-
all the muscular men, as you are building your body, would you
-
partner? We got to build this body, amen, would you build this
-
body called the church to be strong? And then we need you to rise
-
up, man, We need you to rise up. You are to lead.
-
Who's the first one to go the head of the family. If your
-
family don't want to go, you go first, and you lead the family,
-
just as my husband did. He went out recently the X mean mar
-
He recently went there for a mission trip just to look at the ground,
-
to pay the ground so the other teams can go in. So if he's
-
leading, then I need to follow, right, because I want to be
-
a faithful disciple of Jesus. And I'm saying, okay, if you can
-
lead the way, then I will follow. So just a quick accountability of
-
how I've been stirred up to obey God early this year in I work right
-
now with Aya, you know, although we are with this training company,
-
but it's under Aya, and and you know, there's been opportunity to go
-
out into the community, and so there is this something called Ansana, right
-
Ansana in USG one. And so one of the coordinators just came and say,
-
hey, you know, could you do something for this group of students
-
for nine weeks. I'm like, one, nine weeks is a long time
-
away. Every week go out and spend at least an hour and a half
-
with them, and that does not include your preparation time right going you know,
-
yeah, going out one hour, but you have to prepare treat hours
-
of materials or more. You ask all your teachers, excess teachers. They
-
don't just chew up and say hey, I teach you something. There's all
-
these things to prepare, and I'm like thinking, wow, there's a lot
-
of commitment on time. It's not on my job description. By the way,
-
some people think food time is all your job, right, No,
-
No, this is outside and that means if I go, I will need
-
to make up forilla at different time, right, we work at all that,
-
and so you can see that these are the kids and the precious people
-
that we are reaching out to young and we don't preach Christ. We are
-
trying to add value to them. And so what I do with them is
-
to teach them financial literacy. Right, And you'd be surprised at the things
-
that they will ask you. You'd be surprised to just look at their faces,
-
you know, when you come, you know, you know, right,
-
we start at four o'clock three fortify I read they're all waiting outside.
-
The door is too close, you know, the gate is locked. They
-
are there and they're looking out for the car. And at the moment they
-
spot the car, JACKO, JACKO. So eager to see someone come and
-
just have fun with them, teach them something of value. That's that's nine
-
weeks, you know. And I had time a good time with them,
-
just just getting to know them, being out. You know. You know
-
why I say this, it's because it's not good for them, it's good
-
for me. I needed to do this. I needed to obey God.
-
It's not about being such a great blessing to them, you know, It's
-
not about how great you are it's just about how obedient you are. And
-
God called me there. Another one is this that we are still going.
-
This is DJ, They said, Ama, Jerry, have you heard of
-
this? You've seen this right and saw me and the team started going out
-
with to this home in so Many. And this is a long ride from
-
Subang to so Many is at least an hour. So we take an hour
-
drive there, spend an hour playing games with them, spend another hour talking
-
with them, spend another hour doing devotion with them, spend another hour driving
-
home. And that six hours of a day. And we used to do
-
this. I used to do that Ansana on Tuesday DJ on thursdays. Wow,
-
quite a lot of commingment, I have to say. But why am
-
I sharing this with you? It's not two make you feel guilty for not
-
going. There's no condemnation here, yeah, guys, right in the Lord,
-
there is no condemnation, But there's only conviction. Because I don't know
-
what the going means to you. What God is asking you to go away.
-
God is asking you to go It's not gonna look like this, It's
-
gonna look different. And that's fine, and that's fine. Yeah, But
-
the question is this, and I want to leave you with this thought.
-
Would you dare to pray the prayer and asking God? If you say,
-
go and make disciples and baptize them and teach them to observe. Would you
-
dare to say to God and pray? God? Who is it? Would
-
you reveal to me? Amen? I want to read to you a final
-
word of God. And this is taken from Romans chapter ten, verse fourteen.
-
We are to preach the gospel. Amen. We are to preach the
-
gospel, and that is our calling them, It's our purpose in life.
-
In Romans ten fourteen, he says this, How then shall they call on
-
Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him
-
of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
-
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written?
-
How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
-
who bring let hidings of good things? But they have not all obeyed the
-
gospel? For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report? So
-
then faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God? Amen? How
-
will they believe if they cannot hear? How can they hear if you're not
-
sent so right now, X Kota Kamuni, we want to send you out.
-
You are sent. You're being sent just as Jesus was sent to this
-
earth. You are now being sent out to reach Kota Kamuni, your friends,
-
your neighbors, the shopkeeper, I don't know who it is, the
-
bus driver. You are to preach the gospel. You are the feet that
-
will bring good news to those who really need to hear God's would. Amen,
-
this is the end. This is why we are here today to send
-
you out, to equip you, to prepare you so that from your Monday
-
onwards. No, it's not just a holiday. Ask God, God,
-
what do you want me to do today? Bake the cake from my neighbor
-
so that I can bless them? What is it? Don't don't just use
-
it as another holiday and let it pass you by. Every day is an
-
opportunity to go to make disciples, to baptize, and to teach them to
-
observe all that God has commanded us. Amen. We hope you've been blessed
-
by this message. For more information on our church, please visit x church
