You're listening to a message to go from as church. We hope this message
-
will light up your dam. This is a message I've that the Lord has
-
given me, like a few weeks back, you know. And the message
-
is this. The title is this, Jesus is King. I then you
-
repeat that again, Jesus is King. I don't think everybody here has called
-
it yet. Let me just say it one more time. Jesus is King.
-
I'm not saying it just for amens, though. Let's relook chapter four.
-
The spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to
-
preach the Gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken
-
hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the
-
blind, to set at liberty those who are pressed, to proclaim the acceptable
-
year of the Lord. In some translations, it's to proclaim the favorable year
-
of the Lord. Where did Jesus read this passage from? He read it
-
from Isaiah thirty one. Let me talk a little bit about this Jesus.
-
Jesus came and he fulfilled all not some not ninety nine point nine. He
-
fulfilled all the prophecies in the Old Testament, all, what's the significance of
-
Old Testiman New Testament. Well, a lot of things written, you know,
-
in a span of a thousand old years, but they still consisted.
-
Right, Jesus came and he fulfilled all. And he spoke this in Isaiah
-
sixty one, verse one to eleven. Let's turn to that. If you've
-
got your bibles, we're gonna read it. Isaiah sixty one. It's the
-
whole chapter. It says here, the spirit of the Lord is upon me,
-
because the Lord has anointed me to praish the good tidings to the poor.
-
He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to
-
the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound,
-
to proclaim the acceptability of the Lord. And the day of vengeance of our
-
God. Wow, they are vengeance? Are quest scary? Right? You're
-
not? A vengeance is right to comfort all who mourn, to console those
-
who mourn in zion, to give them beauty for ashes, or where poetic
-
beauty for as I think it is, the song, the oil of joy
-
for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. That they
-
may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord that he may
-
be glorified. Do you know why the Bible used the term tree, that
-
they may be called tree? Why tree? Why not something else? Do
-
you know that when you plant a seed or when you have a tree,
-
right, when you come back tomorrow, the tree is still there if no
-
one cuts it down, you come back ten years from now, the tree
-
is still there, but bigger. That's a tree, right, you'll know
-
what the tree is. Would the trees any move? No? Right?
-
In fact, that if you leave the tree for a long long time with
-
the right amount of water and sunlight and all. I'm a little bit into
-
gardening, okay, a little bit, okay, um, it will grow
-
big. You can be confident that when you plant a tree today tomorrow you
-
will still be there. Why tree or righteousness? Because it does not change.
-
There is consistency. It is the same. Next week you come here,
-
examine, it's still going to be here. You can be confident about
-
that. If they're not here, they'll let you know that. But you
-
can be confident. You know, you know how how important things that are
-
confident. We wake up in the morning and we expect the sun to rise.
-
Imagine if you wake up in the morning and there's no sun, you'll
-
be freaking out right. Some of these things we take for granted. You
-
go through your work the next day and you expect it to be there.
-
We have more confidence in things that won't last in redder than in things at
-
last. Do you know that God and Jesus their message has never changed from
-
last time until now? It has never changed. You know? Our government
-
changed many times a day, right, Church culture also changed many times?
-
Really right? The songs also changed many times. Ready, yesterday insult one
-
of my leaders sang a song. He saw all this old song I sing
-
in my college. None of us knew it. We were like, oh,
-
very old. Uh, okay, A lot of things have changed,
-
but Jesus has not changed the message that he's carried. What we believe in
-
us, believe us is still the same. You know. You know how
-
significance is that your parents are so huh the advice changed all today like that
-
tomorrow like that. I remember my mom used to tell me don't drink so
-
much, soya been If not, there will be hormones and all that kind
-
of stuff. And then I'm like, okay, you know, years down
-
the road, right, She's like, what's wrong in drinking? So you
-
have been? How come you change one? But Jesus never change, the
-
Gospel never change. Jesus is still king. Jesus is still king. You
-
catch it one? Do you know that your life will change you by your
-
God never changes? Do you know how much comfort we can have knowing that
-
no matter what happens in your life, no matter what you do, redemption
-
will still be there. Do you know that? So wonderful that no matter
-
what happens? You know people, people also will change them. People can
-
also change one, hopefully change for the better. Luck okay, but people
-
can change. Love can change. Marriage just changed, sadly selling marriage change.
-
Nobody get married now with the intention of divorcing or nobody. But why
-
later on, why a few years down the road? Why why people go
-
through things like that? Because things change? But we can have solace that
-
Christ never changes. Christ never changes. Christ fulfilled the prophecies of his coming
-
and we've and he followed through. You know, do you know he followed
-
through what he needed to do all the way to the cross. He only
-
had one time where he like, okay, God, maybe you know if
-
you can take this cut from me go ahead, but if not, it's
-
okay. That's that's only one time, right. The rest of the time
-
he stayed all the way. Do you know that when he was in that
-
day, I think we were doing doing a Bible study in office. And
-
I find it way interesting because when he was trial, if you read the
-
Bible, he never defended himself. Do you know that he had all the
-
right but he never know he just kept quite all the way. You know
-
what was his response, Jesus, they claim you're the king of the Jews,
-
they claim this is it? Then you know he said it is That's
-
what they said. That's it. That's all he did. The only time
-
he made any noise was when he was, of course screaming and all,
-
and at the cross he said, it is finished. That's it. He
-
never defended himself. Why he followed through everything he needed to do to redeem
-
us? Amen? Why am I saying that Jesus is king? How is
-
it significant to us? We got to remember, and maybe I'll read the
-
scripture so that hopefully we'll get some clarity there. Romans Chapter eight, Romans
-
chapter eight, Verse thirty thirty seven say yet in all these things we are
-
more than conquerors, true Him who loved us. Are you a believing here
-
today? Let's read that again. Yet in all these things we are more
-
than anchor us, true Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that
-
neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers,
-
nor things present, nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor
-
any other creative thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
-
which is in Christ. Jesus, our Lord, Why is that promise
-
important to us? Whatever you did in the past, whatever your friend did
-
in the past, Remember I said, the boss that you don't like,
-
then we were cruel, the family member that you cannot stand. Because always
-
mess to be people, God's love will always reach them, no matter what
-
you did. You can be confident, like a tree, that God's love
-
will reach you. You might not feel it now, you might not see
-
it now, but you've got to believe it. Because Jesus never changed.
-
He has changed many people. He has transformed the lives of many. Talk
-
to any of the leaders here, Talk to any of the people that have
-
driven I don't know how fire your driver. Some of you stay over right
-
or something like that, just to make it some of you, I don't
-
remeber you'll still rent a place just to come on weekends. Okay, crazy
-
right? These people still ran a piacecount of weekends, don't. It's like
-
me, renting in pj Pja is very expensive. I read a drive,
-
it's very expensive to rent. I did consider that. I'm like, okay,
-
more expensive than my house, you know. So it's okay. We
-
are more than conqueress friends, We are more than conquerss. It's not about
-
what you've done, it's not about where you are, it's not about how
-
you feel. The truth is Jesus is king. Jesus is king. He
-
is king that came to conquer and set people free. Why the significance of
-
a king? Why? Why king? Why not Jesus is savior or he
-
is savior? But why king? You know why? Established him as a
-
king? Why not established him just as as like a boss, or establish
-
him as a brother. No? Why king? Because kings come and they
-
take land, and once they take then the land belongs to them. And
-
do you know what is the significance of it? Let me give you this
-
picture. I explained just now that before you guys were here, it was
-
probably a different authority, spiritual authority. But because the Church is here now,
-
the Church has taken over the spiritual authority and were brought light into the
-
darkness. So the significance of king in your life is so important. Non
-
is our life full of light or darkness? Do you know that when kings
-
come and take over, they come and take over, it has to follow
-
their rule, It has to follow their arraign is to follow their loss.
-
Everything goes according to them. When you go to you know, it's like
-
when you come to nature, you use the password. You have to follow
-
militia law. When you take your past one and go to Singapore, you
-
have to follow sing apoll or you'renna say oh, I'm sorry ya you cut
-
the red light and you're like, you know, the Singapore police come and
-
you say sorry, I didn't know. You will get jailed. Man,
-
don't play play you got Thailand. Same thing the moment you are in a
-
different kingdom, you have to follow and abide by the lass. That's why
-
the significance of Jesus king, because are we following and abiding by the laws
-
of the world or are we abiding by the laws of God? And who
-
is king in our lives? Let me give you the benefit of Jesus being
-
king. He came to set paper free from their bondages mentally and physically.
-
What is a mental health issue? Isn't it an issue of the mind and
-
the heart? What does the Bible address? A lot of the times when
-
you're doing your Bible study, when we're talking about you know or what did
-
Jesus mean by that? He always addressed the mind and the heart. So
-
don't you think. And again I'm not saying that you know, therapy,
-
no good cleaning us like no dory, you wouldn't run off a job.
-
Okay. This is that people are being attacked right now in those areas because
-
of online in full social media. Whatever you say, lah, Okay,
-
But I believe that the Bible is an answer, and I believe that Jesus
-
an answer, not because of sound spiritual, but because it has to do
-
with the mind and the heart. And Christ came to do what affect our
-
mind and heart? So who is king in our lives? So he came
-
to see people free from their bondages mentally and physical, bondage addiction. God
-
can there are many many stories I wouldn't share here. By the many many
-
stories about how people was free from addiction. Just like that, He came
-
to free us from living a life of sin and the destruction. What is
-
sin as well? Sin? Where there's a definition here, let's see sin
-
sin sin? Yeah, what is sin? Sin is a word deed or
-
designed in opposition to the eternal God, or as Scripture says, sin,
-
it's a transgression of the law, going against God. That sin, not
-
following God's will, that is sin. But he came and overcame sin so
-
we can be righteous, following his ways and submitting to his will as king.
-
And this is the thing about sin. You know, the Bible says
-
the devil comes to still care and destroy, right, how does he do
-
it through sin? Do you know that sin? It's not a metaphorical or
-
physical death whereas his physical death. But it's not metaphorical nor if you follow
-
the flaw of sinner, right, you were any in destruction on anybody that
-
allows himself to go in that lifestyle. When I say sin, life side,
-
it could be a lot of things. Okay, let's keep it simple.
-
Maybe it's gambling, Okay, maybe okay, I'm just doing these words.
-
There are other ways lying whatever. Whatever you call a sin right,
-
Eventually you end in death one. Unfortunately, if you follow people's track record,
-
eventually, if you look at how people finish or end their lives,
-
whatever whatever way you follow, from the beginning, it always starts to sing
-
on and it always starts with the small things one, and it becomes bigger
-
and bigger and bigger and bigger, and then it ends in destruction. So
-
Jesus came to Salistrate from dead, Chris God, he came to Salistrate from
-
dead so that we can have a different perspective when we look at these things,
-
so that we can know how to submit ourselves. Oh Lord, I
-
surrender to you. Surrender to the King. Don't surrender to yourself. He
-
came to free us from living a life of lies and deception. Trying to
-
see if I can explain this lies and deception. You all know the facts,
-
right, The facts is the facts. But the wonderful thing about believe
-
us is that we know the truth. And that's why even though the doctor
-
gives you that report and that diagnosis, we can still pray because we know
-
the truth and the truth of set three and the truth says that Jesus can
-
heal, and many instances we've seen healing that baffles doctors because we know the
-
truth. Right, So what is the truth? What is lie? What
-
is the truth of your life? You are a child of God, you
-
are precious? What is the line that people are telling all that? What
-
is the lie that people are telling you? God brings truth in the situation.
-
God brings truth in our lives. God gives us freedom, amen,
-
free from living a life hurt and depression. You know, Jesus says low
-
right, I mean it just right in the Bible that love God's love.
-
You know the world shares a student can't love. But if you want to
-
know what true love is, you go to the scripture that all the wedding
-
might to use one right first core intance the teen. Love is patient,
-
love is kind, love is song suffering. Can I chat this before you're
-
not long suffering? Long suffering means a okay, see might tell you what
-
The person never changed now the thing that irks you the most? Right?
-
The person will never change until there you die. Do you still love the
-
person? Yes? See is thinking twice style. You know what that is?
-
Long suffering. Long suffering means the person you love even though they don't
-
change you still love them. Isn't that long suffering? Don't you think God
-
has long suffering to us? You think about it? You know something we
-
think about you know, loves. Everything has been perfect? No, no,
-
actually it's not perfect or no. Long suffering is painful. But if
-
you're married, you know I have suffered long because there are things that you
-
know that's not stuff that I like personally, it's preferenced that. Okay,
-
But you have to submit and die to self and long suffer long because that
-
person will never do this for you. So you find other solutions that okay,
-
about good solutions? Amen, Free from living a life sorry, free
-
from living a pointless life with no vision. Where am I pulling all this?
-
I'm just pulling all this from Luke chapter four. I'm paraphrasing, okay,
-
recovery of sight to the blind people who have no sight in their lives.
-
People who they in there are it's the same thing. Do you know
-
there's so much purpose in your life? You might feel that all Nola,
-
Maybe I'm not famous. It's not about being famous or rich. Purpose is
-
not about being famous or rich. Purpose is about knowing that whatever you do
-
in life has meaning and it brings blessing to someone else. That is purpose.
-
There is a reason why ximony is here. There is a purpose why
-
reason. It is not just to make people's life easy and make it convenient.
-
No, there's a bigger purpose right, There is a purpose. He
-
came to do that. He also came to grant us God's favor. Let
-
me share you something I've learned from young Antan. Now and as I have
-
the opportunity to also lead ministries and plant church, I realize this is something
-
very important that I read. I am thankful to God that I've taught.
-
Why is God's favor important? You know, when we think about God's favor,
-
always think about Okay, God's favor means you'll be blessed. God's favor
-
means you'll be rich. God's human will be famous. Katie is the man's
-
way of thinking, the man's way of thinking. Let me tell you a
-
little bit about God's favor. Okay. When I go through life, I
-
constantly seek the favor of the Lord. Okay, let me share if you
-
what favor is design found online definition, favor is to regard with especial kindness
-
or approval, to treat with partiality or favoritism. Oh wow, favoritism?
-
How can you practice favoritism in the church? Everything should be fair, right
-
to support, to advocate, to perform, a favor for, to oblige,
-
to help, to facilitate. Do you want God's favor? Now?
-
Do you know that all of you here can have favoritism from God? Do
-
you know that? No? It's not not. Not only Stephen can the
-
rest it? No, No, everybody here, everybody here can experience God's
-
favor I give you ano perspective. I got two kids, okay, eight
-
and ten, and you know we say God is our father, right,
-
and I'm a father with two kids. Do you know how easy it is,
-
sir, for my kids are to get my favor So easy? You
-
know? You know how easy it is. All they need to do,
-
a guys, is to follow what that he says and to obey. Well,
-
I tell you I would get them anything. Man, Okay, I
-
know a lot of you are not parents here. You probably don't understand.
-
Right if you are the kid, this is the trick on how you get
-
favor you want you want a car from your dead? Just say yes dead
-
followed, don't fight with him, don't do anything, you know, just
-
obey any You never know something might happen. Right, It is not rare
-
hard to get favor from God. It is not rare hard. You just
-
need to follower he says, right, you just need to follow it.
-
We say, it's so simple, sometimes not easy to do la by simple
-
God's favor, right, and this is one form of favoritism. We need
-
to pursue God's favor. So are you setting yourself up for favor from God?
-
Do you know that you have to set yourself up? You know you
-
have to be seen by gods. No, you have to check your Lord.
-
Am I granting your favor? Or do you treat God like center class?
-
Or do you treat God like like you're entitled? Oh I'm entitled to
-
all these things, right, I'm your child? Right? Or do you
-
one God's favor? Let me share you a little bit of what favor means.
-
Okay, like I said, just now, X PJ has been there
-
for in We meet in Jaiwan, Jaiwan, in a place where it used
-
to be at the case a theater likes like a hall is well a little
-
bit a bit about this size, but we got two stories. Can feel
-
about four hundred people there I mean, we're blessed because that's a stage.
-
And all right, when we went and look for a place in Pa,
-
and I say, Pa is very expensive, okay, very expensive. Let
-
me listen prices. I can give you that monthly to meet in Armada Hotela.
-
Half of this sizer is five thousand ring it for a week for a
-
weeker. Yeah, this is how expensive it is. Okay, okay,
-
I won't tell you how much we pay, but way less than that in
-
Jaya one. So when we got the place, we were like, okay,
-
pray Scott. You know. We met in there's a room studio on
-
two upstairs right which night right now we used for X kids, right,
-
And I declare that soon you'll had xlis here as well. Okay, more
-
families are calm, you have X kids raised out, um and uh.
-
And we met there and I remember there's this discussion past I said, hey,
-
Pasta, when do we shift to the bigger hall, you know,
-
because not so big yet, right, because that place can fit about fifty,
-
you know. And I remember as I said, oh, uh,
-
once it hits eighty or sixty, then you shift, you know. And
-
I'm like, okay, La. So the first day we start church,
-
and we didn't start on Sunday, so more people come. We had three
-
hundred people, you know, no, no, no, because we got
-
leaders and it was on a Saturday, you know. And then the next
-
Hollong week is the real service, right? And I thought, okay,
-
la a lot, you know, maybe a few months. Okay, So
-
fifty came right on the next service. And the following week, right eighty
-
people came. And I'm like, oh my goodness, next week ready and
-
and and we've been there ever since. Okay, let me tell you about
-
God's favor. The management has changed three times, but I'm still there.
-
From PJA Life Arts management too. During pandemic they had to close down the
-
PJA Life Arts and I deal now directly with Jaya one. The person I
-
deal with, the coordinator of the location now changed four times. I'm still
-
there, I know, and they're asking me for advice. Now, So
-
what do you doc? I don't know. You should be telling me what
-
you are. You are the supplier, right, you are asking me because
-
I've been here longer than you. We've been there and we don't feel any
-
and there's still favor so much away from them. Recently, we organize a
-
heart's festival, right, and I can't give you pricing? Okay, not
-
so good, but let's just say that it was very good law the pricing.
-
You know, it was at least ten times less than another venue that
-
we found favor of the Lord. When you God's we have God's favor in
-
your life? Are you also cannot explain? How do you get so cheam?
-
I also don't know why the person's so nice to you? Are I
-
also don't know the person don't believable? I also don't know. Maybe God,
-
maybe God's favor Why your boss is so nice to you? Of all
-
the people? You also don't know. It's not like you work extra hard
-
to you know, bodiate your boss. It's not like you you know why
-
God's favor because God's eye is on you, His favoritism is on you.
-
That's God's favor. So look for God's favor, guys, right, Look
-
look for God's favor. Don't just look at the end result of something.
-
Look for the favor of the Lord, and then you have peace with you.
-
Right. You might think that you are shot change because there's something nicer
-
and better out there, But the grass is always greener on the other side.
-
So I don't look at all these things anymore. Or no, I
-
don't look at how big the hall is, or how I look at God
-
favor or not God favor or not God favor or not go favor than I
-
do, go no favor. I don't want to do. How nice or
-
so how nice you package the package? I got no favor? I scare
-
because when go no favor, I go in. Now I'm going to have
-
more sleepless nice right, And I'm speaking from my experience. Then when you
-
get too excited but the God's favor is not there, and you do it
-
and like, oh Lord, for six months you cannot sleep. So I
-
rather have sleep. Amen. When we rely on our own strength and methods,
-
we fail. Okay, well, you might not fail to get what
-
you want, which is actually quite scary, you know you think about it.
-
When you rely on your own strength, you will fail, but you
-
might not fail to give you when you do, you get that because what
-
we want might not be what is good for us. Case in point,
-
why I just share of you. Oh I want it last so good?
-
Right? This business deals so good? Ah, let me get it on,
-
let me get it. Everything looks so perfect but no favor. Then
-
you do, and then you realize, oh my goodness, this is the
-
worst decision I made. Yes, I still get what I want, by
-
why I want wasn't good for me at all. Amen, God has what
-
is good for us. That's why we've got to come to this place.
-
Can we declare that Jesus king in our lives, not by not by power,
-
but by my spirit. Says a lot relying on God's spirit. Okay,
-
I give you more examples. Okay, So let's see our way of
-
coping your challenges. Okay, our way men swear men say of coping each
-
other. So what do we do well every time we got chlenge life?
-
What do you do well? Stress edema? Then go and do Guilty pleasures
-
are shopping? Maybe it's always when we stress we eat more. Right,
-
as can see, you know what, it's my guilty pleasure. And nowadays
-
I don't know my last time. When I was growing up, there's no
-
option like that, But nowadays there's so much option, so much ado option
-
where people harm themselves. And he's so scary. Right, these are all
-
sin related items. And sin was introduced by the devil because he's here to
-
still kill and destroy, as said in John ten ten. So man's way
-
of guilty pleasure is self harmed. Whatever you may say, you indulg in
-
the flesh, right, that's how we deal with it. But Jesus came
-
to overcome sin. He came to overcome all these things. He came to
-
say, hey, come out of it, so we can be righteous,
-
true He's ways, not anyone's way about ways, and submitting to his will
-
as our king. This is why declaring that Jesus king is important, because
-
someone has to be in charge. Because if you put yourself in charge,
-
well we all know how that happened, how that will go, and something
-
you might even feel, No I can, I can, I can manage
-
He's fine, then then you try. But if we put Jesus in charge,
-
we will experienced the more of God. Romans, chapter six. You
-
can read it yourself. It's too long. I don't have time. No
-
one can be made righteous true his own work, but only true Christ Jesus.
-
That's the reality. No matter how hard you try, you can't.
-
So let's learn, right, if I trust it most you know, all
-
of us here believers, So let's see how God teaches us to cope.
-
Challenges. First point, he's trusting God. Proverbs chapter three, verse five
-
to six. What do they say, trust in the Lord with all your
-
heart, and lean not on your own understanding? All? Well, what
-
does that mean? Now? Don't trust yourself? Trust God? Don't trust
-
yourself right in all your ways? Acknowledge Him and he shall direct your path.
-
This one I want to talk about a little bit. What does it
-
mean I acknowledge him? I use this example in when I was sharing INPDA.
-
So I'm married to a beautiful wife. Her name is Jessica. Right,
-
and imagine now if you want to talk to pass it Alvine, you
-
want to do anything, we pass it Elvina. I will acknowledge my wife.
-
You want to stand right, I will acknowledge her one way or the
-
other. I will bring her in the picture. I will say, oh,
-
you're Mimia Stephen. Hold On, I checked my wife, Vera,
-
you know, let me check, cannot I acknowledge her? Right? Every
-
time I wanted to commit to something, I acknowledge my wife. So that
-
is what he means by acknowledging God. Are you all getting me? When
-
you do something, especially when you make an important decision, Are you acknowledging
-
God in the situation, or do we only acknowledge God when we're in trouble?
-
Oh? Lord help me. We had a quiet time as our Bible
-
study in homes and it was quite funny because half the time when you ask
-
the question of like how do you talk to God, they say when I'm
-
in trouble, you know, they say oh s, and when you're very
-
nice to my homies. They use nice verse like oh s and when And
-
then when they give the example, it's like, oh, you know I'm
-
having stressed at work and having a problem that ask God? Yeah, only
-
when we probably ask God. But if we can trust Him with all our
-
hearts, if we can acknowledge Him in all our way, not some of
-
our waysa all our waste. Acknowledge God. See, acknowledge is not necessarily
-
asked for mission. No, it's just acknowledged, you know, like a
-
Lord, are you here? Are you with me? Can you please guide
-
me? I'm going to make the decision now, can you Well maybe you
-
won't tell me whether okay or not, but can you lead me please?
-
If it's a bad decision, can you please close the door? And do
-
you know that God is kind? You might think, oh, Norma,
-
God's kopma. He will let me, he will, he will definitely guide
-
me. One. But do you know that God is so kind to you
-
that if you want to really do what you want to do or He's not
-
gonna stop you. That's the true nature. He's not gonna stop you know.
-
But the moment you acknowledge, it's like me and my kids. You
-
say an example again. I mean, of course now they're younger, but
-
next time, when they're older, when they're teens, are in their campus,
-
I cannot control them. Really, they they know what they know,
-
what they knew to do. Really, they're all enough. But wouldn't I
-
be so happy they sun? They say, Daddy, what your thinking?
-
I plan to buy this car? What do you think? Just by doing
-
that? I'll be so happy. They're acknowledging me in their lives if they
-
do that. Right, So can we acknowledge God. That's God's way of
-
coping. Remember I said, set yourself up for God's favor. Second point,
-
go to God and he will give you rest. Manthew chapter eleven,
-
verse twenty eight to thirty. Come to me, all you who will labor
-
and are heavy laden. And I will give you rest. Right, take
-
my yolk upon you and learn from me. If I'm gentle and lonely in
-
heart, and you will find rest in your soul. So I've always thought
-
about this word yolk. You know, you know what a yolk is,
-
right, you know, kurbau oxen. You put that thing on top,
-
and it's yoke. And then wherever wherever the farmer wants the oxen to go,
-
they will have to follow the yoke. That's how it works. So
-
when but isn't it like how to sayah um? I don't say counterculture?
-
Isn't it like counterproductive? If you want to give me rest where you're gonna
-
put your on me? Jesus, it doesn't make sense. And you're saying
-
that you are gentle and lowly and I will find rest, but I will
-
have to work right, No, guys, let me go deeper. Take
-
his yoke? What does that mean? Humbly do his will and allow him
-
to guide and direct our lives because he is gentle and humbled in heart,
-
and he will lead you to rest. That's why you take on the yok,
-
not because Jesus gonna give him more problems. Because by taking on the
-
yok that Jesus leads you will have less problems, you will have more rests.
-
That's what it means. You're following that on. You know, I
-
used to not understand. I'm like, I don't understand. Now I'm like,
-
oh, okay, because when you take on his yo, you are
-
humbling. Okay, Lord, I putting on your yok. I will do
-
your will, and his will is always good for us. His will is
-
always good for us, amen, because he really promised my yong is easy
-
and my burden is light. And of course I talked a little bit about
-
this is not about love. God's way of coping and his definition of love
-
is the definition of love we all want. It is a selfless kind of
-
love. Is a first contest to think kind of love. And that's how
-
God loves people. That's why I can confidently tell you here that God still
-
loves the boss that you hate, That God still loves the most obnoxious person
-
that you know that you won't want to hang out with. Godsill loves him
-
or her. And because of that, do you know that God still loves
-
you no matter what you do, no matter how you mess up, no
-
matter what you say. You might have says, whatever, guys, God
-
still loves you. God still loves you. You know, when we are
-
younger, things were simpler. I remember when I was young, it was
-
much more simpler. Now it's so complicated. Right, do you know that
-
life is actually where simple, but we as men like to complicate it.
-
Actually, I'm sharing it with something where a simple. No Jesus king,
-
there's something to him and everything will be okay, so simple, but we
-
like to complicate it. How what's the what's the da Vinci Court thing that
-
you know that will unlock the secret of success? And God, guys,
-
is as simple as this is. Following God's word is allowing God to move
-
in your Life's saying Jesus, you're king of my life, so I will
-
follow everything. Jesus kept things simple. If you read the Bible, he
-
constantly kept things simple. The Pharisees, the settle Sees, the leaders.
-
Everyone want to complicate or complicate, triple complicate, quadruple complicate things on Oh
-
he's the savior or men? Do you know that Jesus came not to just
-
save the Jews, He came to save everyone. No, praise God,
-
Praise God. But they want to complicate it. They want to make him
-
into a revolutionary. They want him to save their people. Only until today,
-
people still waiting for the savior. Right, God came to make it
-
simple. I want to save everyone. I love everybody. I'm here for
-
everyone. People kept trying to complicate things, but Jesus kept things simple.
-
All he said to the disciple is follow me. So simple. Do you
-
know that he didn't? Okay, I talk about this a little bit,
-
um. You know, we believe in discipleship here in our church right and
-
is a good thing, you know, And many times I like to ask
-
the questions, you know, like what would make them choose someone to disciple?
-
And I realized this whole thing about like I'm not saying it's bad,
-
lad say, oh, you know, I want someone that can connect with
-
me. I want someone that he's you know, I can have a wavelength.
-
But I think those are good things. But if you go in discipleship
-
the way Jeus did it, he never he never take them out for a
-
coffee. You know, he met the monia, created a miracle and he
-
they follow me, and then follow them just okay, I'll follow you.
-
Was there any like you a new feel first? And you know, see
-
whether a connection or not. Hey, if we follow Jesus where a lot
-
of things west in Bernal, but we all complicate it. And because we
-
all complicate it now we take very long, very long to come to this
-
space of freedom. Right, guys, let's keep it in Berkenna, Canada.
-
Let's give me see Canal. The good news is resting. We shouldn't
-
complicate it. So, friends, allow Jesus to be a king. It's
-
here a choice now, it's here a choice that you have to make.
-
Allow Jesus to be a king. Already, claim him to be a king.
-
This is my king. I find it interesting. I'm sarverybody's now.
-
Yesterday King Charles was coronated. Right, if you all follow the news,
-
right, claim him as your king and surrender to him. Surrender you know,
-
sometimes maybe, maybe, just maybe, we cannot claim Jesus as our
-
king because they are the kings or strongholds in our lives which we have not
-
torn down yet. He is dead, you know, he's right. Hard
-
you know if in Atlanta, imagine in Malaysia or two government harbits, civil
-
war. Man, right, you cannot have two? No, you only
-
have one? No, I mean you can have opposition. But they're still
-
one government, right, no matter what they do in parliament after they come
-
out, they're still one. No imagine we have two parliament Harbits. He's
-
gonna very difficult. So we cannot have two kings. Maybe for some of
-
us we are the king. That's why it's hard for Jesus to be king.
-
The Bible says that we do not fight against flesh and blood. If
-
he shan't, six child says for we are not fighting against flesh and blood
-
enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty
-
powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
-
Recognizing that the battle we face could possibly be a spiritual battle also helps us
-
to make better strategic decisions in our work of Fathe. You'll catch that recognizing
-
that the battle we face could possibly be spiritual battles also help us to make
-
better strategic decisions in our work of Fathe. That's why every time someone accepts
-
Christ in our church, we bring them through the starter pack, and there's
-
a point where we have the renunciation prayer to renunciate and tear down every commument
-
that's been made in the past so they can move forward, right, And
-
you don't know some things are for us here because we're an Asian country,
-
our parents dedicators who don't know this diety that we've got to cut it off.
-
No, there, you like, how come my life unexplainable? I
-
always experience things that are not so go on. Well, maybe there are
-
some things that you need to cut off low, but if you keep holding
-
on, you cannot say, oh, this is king, but then you
-
hold on to are the areas? No, because he has king over everything,
-
not only King on Sunday when I come and see Stephen and but other
-
days no, I know it's okay. Then you won't experience the fullness of
-
God. Then you want to experience gods favor, Then you won't experience his
-
blessing. Do you want to experience all these good things? He has to
-
be fully king. We are human, but we don't wach war as humans
-
do. We don't know. So it's not about people. That's why I
-
mentioned again, like I said, I'm repeating myself, it is not about
-
the boss that you hate. God still love sehim or her. That's why
-
I'm so confident now when I look at people, even though people can don't
-
like me at all. I still look at them and okay, they're still
-
God's children. God bless them. I'm nothing bad to say about them.
-
They have all the bad to say about me. It's okay. God will
-
be my unique right. But with them, forgive them, Let the Lord
-
deal with them, because I know that I don't wish war against them or
-
humans. We use God's mighty weapons, not worly weapons, to do one
-
to knock down. So what are the strongholes? When I talked about it,
-
to knock down strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments? Remember,
-
I say, Jesus makes it simple, We complicate it. We come
-
to church and we have a certain picture of how it should look like.
-
We do things and we have a certain picture of how it looks like.
-
And do you know that that is a stronghole? Or only when we sing
-
hill Song's music, God's presence will come. Any other song not going to
-
come. He's a stronghole. No, I'm not saying Hills Song is a
-
strong whole, but I'm saying that top process. Right. Are you saying
-
that even the old hymns that we sing cannot bring us presence? So what
-
is it that brings God? Is it just a band or Jesus really say
-
in the Bible that there will come a time where he is looking for worshippers
-
who worship him in spirit and truth. Never hear anything about songs there,
-
So we don't fight it against trust and blood. It's all about human reasoning.
-
How are we thinking about it? The best way is to read God's
-
word and to take on his reasoning the declaration that Jesus king. Amen.
-
So we've got to break down the strong holes. Strong holes are things that
-
edified itself against God. Those are strong holes absolutes in our lives, which
-
goes against God's kingdom. That's why he has to be in a place of
-
surrender. My last points. So, friends, even as we come to
-
the end and maybe extreme can get ready, there are three things that we
-
need to do. And this is something that you can choose to do right.
-
Firstly, surrender to him as king. Surrender surrender to him as king.
-
And then you've got to submit to his ways and commit to him.
-
Yes, it might not be easy, it might take time, some old
-
habits might die hard, but well, if you want to experience the more
-
of God, shouldn't you surrender things that doesn't benefit at all? Something We've
-
got to think about whether it benefits us or not. No, because if
-
we know something really benefits us, then we will be more willing to do
-
it right if we can experience him. That's I always challenge people. You
-
don't believe me, It's fine, you try it out, see it.
-
Move you know what's got move for you will be We're excited there. We
-
were easy to do right because I've experienced it. And finally, when you
-
can surrender and submit, we can't be encourage that you are saved from the
-
destruction. So Jesus is King. Can we claim that today and our team
-
les years. Heaven rules, Yeah, Heaven rules. The significance of xi
-
Mania here it is so powerful because xi Mania is declaring in Uni village that
-
the Heaven rules. Xi Mania is declaring in this place that Christ is King.
-
Not depression, not problems, not other spiritual things and other principalities,
-
but Christ and the promise that Christ brings is freedom, is peace, it's
-
love, it's hope for better future. Amen. We hope you've been blessed
-
by this message. For more information on our church, please visit x Church
