A PEOPLE AFTER GOD'S OWN HEART | Pr Alvin Keng

You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message

will light up your day. The title of the message today is a people

after God's Own Heart. Okay. Just to establish some things, um.

You know, in the Bible, there's only one person in the whole of

the Bible that God said God, God is the one that said it.

Are not me, not anyone, not even the person I mean. But

God is saying, this person is a man after my own heart. Right,

how many of you know who that person is? David? Right,

David, you know, King David. He was a man after God's own

heart. God is the one that said he was a man after God's own

heart. Okay. And um, just to establish a few things for our

understanding, okay, Um. God wants to establish a kingdom. You know

if you read the Bible, well, not if, but when you read

the Bible, I believe all of you are Bible scholars. When you read

the Bible, you will learn that God wants to establish a kingdom. That's

why sometimes in churchdom, you know, we talk about kingdom law, God's

kingdom law. You know all these terms that we use, right, Because

God is a king. He wants to be a king over subjects. And

he actually chose people group you know, Um, okay, establishing some things

again, the Bible shows us and teaches us and reveals to us God's character.

Have you ever thought about why do we have a Bible? Oh,

because we need to follow religion and follow a way of thinking. No,

no, no. The Bible is given to us by God so that we

understand and can learn who he is. It boils down to that, It

boils down to our relationship with him. Right, what is his plan?

What is this idea of redemption? Why he said Jesus or all these things

is found in the Bible, you know, the Holy Scripture and and and

and God is not God is very smart, I know if you didn't know

God's restart. He he left the Bible here for a reason. He used

these people group called the Israelites, to teach us and to show the world

who he is as God. He needed an example, He needed a group

of people that he can interact with, you know, and and and sort

of like establish his kingdom with and of all the people, you know,

you can go and do your own study about this. From what I have

seen, of all the people, he chose to Israelites. You don't know

why he chose to Israelites. Why didn't he choose the Chinese or the Egyptians

or there were so many other people groups out there. You know, there

were so many other kingdoms out there. You know, they were more well

established there were. Do you know why he chose to Israelites. He chose

them because there was they were the most least insignificant people around compared to everyone

else. They were the ones that that needed more help one. That's kind

of why he kind of chose them. And until today they are considered God's

chosen people. Do you know that they are God's chosen people? But why

did God chose? Have you thought about it before he chose them? Because

he needed to sort of like have an example. He needed to a group

of people that he can say is where I will established my kingdom so that

the world can see. He gave Abraham that promise that true you and un

lineage the nations will be blessed. You read the Bible like same Bible we

read right, and God's friend has always been about that. He wants to

establish a kingdom right, and he wants subjects. He wants people who would

serve him, who obey him, and he wants to rule over the kingdom.

Okay, Scott wants. So he chose the Israelites as an example to

display his love and power and relationship with them. Okay, that's what he

did, right. So he actually brought them out from the to a promised

land. Right, we know this story in the history. Um, he

brought them out from Egypt. They were slaves there. I mean, they

didn't start as slaves law. The Agitians made them slaves start after a while,

they were there because Joseph was so he was the savior. And then

they you know, God brought them out through the wilderness for forty years and

then to the promised Land. And he actually brought them to the promised land.

So after the promised land then closed shotla they live happily after? Did

that happen? Not really? Law? Okay, he brought them there.

Then they still had to work, right, they stared to follow his leading,

right. Um. But when they were staying there, the Israelites,

and and how was the structure of uh. You know, I wouldn't say

I like LA, but it's very interesting when you study how they live,

law, because all around them were other countries, other kingdoms. There was

the Amalekites or the different Kites or the different Nians. Right, they were

staying around, and they of course looked more happening. They had a king,

they have unique structure, right, they need structure, they need a

leader, They need to have an army, you know, they need some

economic thing happening there, you know. And and they saw what the people

out there are doing. They saw how wow, they were so organized,

they were so structured, they had nice uniform you know, they had their

own culture. And it looked interesting to the Israelites because during that time they

were how were they organized? They were organized like Moses time true judges,

right when Moses brought him out, it was him and then he learned from

Getro divine and conquer. And as a church we also practice that leaders of

ten, leaders of one and and and this was the time of judges,

because well, well, if you've been a leader long enough, you will

realize that any organization, and the bigger the organization, the more headge you

have. Correct, And the headache is because of system and structure, and

no, the headache is because of people, you know, and typically same

same in that situation, people fight law and all. So they needed some

form of like an organizational structure so that they can function as a society,

right, And and their function was judges, you know, uh, and

and and and God the way he communicated with people. If you study the

Bible, he always communicate true prophets one right, because prophets were the ones

chosen to speak on behalf of God and to speak to God on behalf the

people. And do you know that the life of prophet is not fun?

It's not fun. Now do you know what the people do to the problem

all the time. Most of time they had very horrible, horrible deaths.

It sound fun me a prophet. That's why maybe pastoral being being past difficult

anyway, anyway, I won't go there, but um, but yeah,

that's what happened. And in that time and were don't I give you the

background so that we can understand the context of what I'm trying to share.

And in that time, there was this guy named Samuel. He was a

prophet. He was the guy that communicated to God on behalf the people and

vice versa. And people recognize him as a prophet. Okay, see,

people still know God is there you know, they still know God is there.

But they were looking at all these other fellers around, and they started

looking at other nations, and they actually wanted what the other nations have.

Does the sound very familiar to today's day and age? Why they why these

people also happening? Oh? How they dressed so nice? They don't wear

a tie on a Sunday. They wear jeans and he looks so good?

Sorry, I use example. You think yourself? Okay, who there are

songs that they sing? What they go? Food? Bn? Huh only

go one guitar and piano? Where can worship God like that? Hi?

U? Uncle Roger say, hia? So you know? Oh no they

got food? No, they got violin. They started seeing other people what

king. I think we need That's what they did compare. You know,

even the Bible say don't compare, no, don't cover it, right,

and see what other people experience. And I want to experience the same thing.

context of what we're talking about here, okay, And honestly, if it's

something here? Okay. So they wanted to rely on themselves and not God.

What such a strong statement. Well, let's read the Bible, okay,

not just from me. First Samuel chapter eight, verse for so what

happened? Okay, let's let's happen. How how they they ask for a

king? First Samuel chapter eight verse for what does it say? It says

here? Then all the elders of Israel get it, All the big elders

get it right? And what did they do? They get it and came

to Samuel and Rama and say to him, look you are old. Well,

first thing say, is your old? How many of you were getting

angry? I also get angry? Right, No needna, they say,

look, you're old and your sons do not work in your waist? Hantum

the family someone no right, oh man, Now make us a king to

judge us like all the nations. Friends, remember the first day I met

God wants to establish a kingdom, And who should be the king? Who

is the king of the Israelites. No, no, no, they want

someone else to be king. That's what they're asking for. No, that's

what they're asking for. Hey, faster, Samuel, don't faster. Hey,

you already and your children are don't follow your way? Right? We

want to be like them. They look so happening. We want to do

what they are doing. That's what the people are asking for, and and

and and Samuel actually want them, He didn't want them. Say hey,

guys, it's not the plan. You know, uh, you know,

it's not the plan. Why are you looking there? But they didn't listen.

First Semuel, chapter eight, verse nineteen twenty. Right, First Samuel,

eight, nineteen twenty. What did they say? They say, nevertheless,

the people refuse to obey the voice of Samuel. And they said,

no, but we will have a king o us stubborn, oh, stubborn,

that we may we also maybe like the nations, and that our king

may judge us and go out before us and fight our betters. They were

so convinced that that was the right way to do it. They were so

convinced that that following other people was the right way, not following God.

They were so convinced. Okay, of course, God wasn't happy the request.

Will you be happy? Right? Imagine your your kids come to you

and you know, tell you no, mommy and daddy, I want you

to change car my friend's father's mersities nicer. You must change u mersities.

Your count going. We want to look like them. So please go and

take a carload and go and change with two mersities. You'll be like,

thank you very much, you're no longer my son. You know? Do

that? Gay? Um? God wasn't happy the request. But do you

I mean, you know it will happen, This will happen. He won

them and they say no, we want to still look like everybody else.

Do you know that God still gave them what they wanted? So be way

carefully what you ask for God now be very careful what you ask for him,

because we got might just give it to you. Know you want,

you want so much? I want you ready, you still do want to

listen? Ok your choice, you choose one you want. That's what happened.

God gave it to them, right. And what do you God say?

First, Samuel Chapter eight, verse seven to nine. What what do

you God say? God said? And the Lord said to Samuel Hite the

voice of the people. Wow, hey, listen to them a Samuel in

all that they say to you, For they have not rejected you, Samuel,

they did, I know, they say you all And they say,

oh, they didn't reject you, but they have rejected me. That I

should not reign over them powerful. No, we must look like them.

They got the king, they got, they got the uniform, they look

everything. Okay, we will learn more. So what happened God, one,

Damma, this is what your king will do. And if you study

the history of the chronicles and all that, you will realize that all the

kings account of that is like super Game of Thrones. Man. And you're

like, oh my goodness, the amount of drama, the amount of nonsense.

The literally Israel is to splain two, No, Judah in Israel.

No, that's how messed up we became because we want to look like other

people. You know. That's that's what they asked. That's what they asked.

One. So Saul was their first king, right, and then God

get them. He didn't you choose that he he anointed Saul. No,

he was with Saul. No, God still was there. No, he

didn't like, Okay, I do what I want. No, he was

still there to guide them. He was still there to make sure he's done

right, even if reducing mass, annoying mass mass dead right. And then

responsiblies on who the king, responsibilities on the king. Saul was their first

king. He wasn't a man who wasn't perfect, and he made some mistakes.

Do you know that he made mistakes? Um? That's one story in

the Bible where God Saul. So. Uh So those days, um,

when they want to go into war, they will offer sacrifices to the lot

to see whether or not they will win, Smatler, because God is the

one that fight on before. So there is their normal practice. But who

can offer sacrifice quite strict you know, God's worked only proffered only you know,

Everybody else is all about the circumstances, everything else. David, sorry a

Do you know when I read this personally, the comfort that I have for

my own life is that even if I get it wrong and I'm not perfect,

I can say wrong things. Then for all you know, I said

a few wrong things a day and some how you are offended. Sorry,

but I can always come back and say, God, I messed up,

I messed up. I'm not perfect. Please forgive me. Yes, I

I yeah, I'm pasted by mistakes. I'm human. Please forgive me a

lot. That's the comfort I have that, no matter where we are at

friends, how risk want to God is important. It's not how, it's

not the amount of it's not the big mess. You may know, it's

not how big our mess is. Who has the bigger mess? No,

no, it's not about that. It's about no matter what mess you have,

the humility of saying, God forgive me, mix it different, make

s good. Look at you and say, this is a person after my

heart because they know what to do. Because even if they messed up,

even if they made a mistake, even if they're not perfect, they know

how to come back to me. They know how to follow my will.

For Samuel to Tin says, Samuel said to Saul, you have done foolishly.

You have not kept the commandment of the Lord, your God be she

commanded you. For now the Lord will established your kingdom over Israel forever.

Do you know that if Saul sol of like responder how they we responded,

God will still probably establish his kingdom. But because he didn't, now,

because he hided, he don't can't anything, right, I mean not,

Actually he's not hiding one. He didn't hide. Okay, he messed up,

but he didn't admit David. David hide, David hide all his problems.

David. But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for

himself a man after his own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to

be commander with his people because you have not kept what the Lord has commanded

you. So God orchestrated a significant moment, and we're coming to the crux

of what I'm sharing today. He orchestrated a significant moment to annoy a new

king. Right Samuel obeyed. Let's let's right now, he says. He

first Samuel sixteen. Now, the Lord said to Samuel, how long will

you mourn for Saul, seeing I've rejected him from reigning over Israel, Fill

your horn with oil and go. I am sending you to Jesse the Battle

of Might, for I've provided myself a king among his sons. And Samuel

said, how can I go? If Saul here's seat, he will kill

me. But the Lord said, take a hypho with you and say I

have come to second rest of the Lord. Samuel Christ smart, No,

do you know that Saul is still king when this is happening. And it's

Yeah, so that's what happened. He's, hey, don't they all you

know, just sacrifice and invite the thing. And what happened. Samuel did

what the Lord said, went to Bethlehem, elders of the town, Trember

is coming and said, do you come peasably? And he said, pasably,

I've come to sacrifice to the Lord. Sanctify yourselves. Come with me

to the sacrifice. Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons invited them to the

sacrifice. So it was when they came that he looked at Eliot and said,

surely the lords annointed is before him. So who is Eliot the first

one son? So what did God said? God said, go and then

when when Samuel anointed or wanted to annoint Jesse's sons, he probably still thought

that he he must be the same kind of criteria, tall dick and handsome,

first born. I'm sure it will be this guy. But God say

no, right, God say no? And why why do you guys say

no? The Lord said to Samuel, do not look at his appearance or

at his physical stature, because I've refused him or rejected probably first time elip

can rejected in his life before these all the girls don't reject him. Um

for the Lord, that's not cs A man sees this very important point,

our guys, this very important points. I hope that we catch this because

these really godsword do you want to know how God thinks? For man looks

at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. This one

line will show us the revelation to everything else. Samuel first son, second

son, son for son, No no, no, no, no,

everybody thought they were but David. So, when God has a plan for

your life, and I believe he does have a plan for your life,

are you at the place where you feel like you've been forgotten? You've been

oh you know, you know there's been so many years city right, nothing

can amount of it. No, God has a plan for you. Because

men looks at outward, but God looks at the heart. God didn't miss

David. Let's let's let's learn a little bit about who David is. Okay,

who was David? You know, David na was someone that knew who

God was and he had experienced God all his life. Right in Samuel chapter

seventeen, you Semu chapter seventies, the part where David met Goliath, right,

and he well not met Goliath fla. He went to the war again.

Now, the brothers went to war because they were probably more you know

whatever question you know they are. They were they were the lawyers, m

there. We understand, they were the doctors of the family. They were

just take care of Sipuni. They were the soldiers. They were off stature,

and they were there and they were dealing with this issue. And what

He knew who his God was. Right, and it's revealed here,

David said to Saul, your servant used to keep his father's ship. And

when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the floor,

I went out after and struck it, and delivered the lamb from his

mouth. And when it rose against me, I caught it by his beard

and struck and killed it. Your servant has killed both lion and bear.

And this uncircumto say bad word, the uncircumstance pistin will be like one of

them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God. Moreover,

David said, the Lord who delivered me from the part of the lion and

paw of the bear, he will deliver me from the hand of this philistine.

So, okay, I don't think David does CrossFit load when he was

God could do. How confident was he? Let's read honor right verse forty

seven, same chapter. Then all these assembly shall know. Oh sorry,

let me go, ah, he says, here forty five. Then David

said to the Philistine, he's standing in front of Goliath, and guys,

he's a young kid standing in front of Goliath, and he's saying to him.

You come to me with a sort, in a spirit and with a

javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of Hosts,

the God of armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day

the Lord will deliver you into my hand and will strike you and take your

head from you. And this day I will give the caucus of the okay,

so and so forth. Then all the assembly shall know that the lord

that's not safe with a sword and spear for the battle is the lords,

and he will give you into our hands. Wow, this guy has a

lord, God's man. How many of you here are in a situation where

you feel like you're dealing with a giant? Is it in your family?

Is he in your work? Are you having an major exam that it feels

like a giant is in your life? You want things to be better?

What is it? Do you have the same confidence that David have knowing that

God will be there for you to defeat the giant? I don't you know,

you watch those movies like about my brothers. I don't know you've seen

now where they touched the star and then after that they're invincible. It's just,

oh one, I don't think this was dead. No, I don't

think David suddenly oh annointed by the Lord and I don't know. I don't

think that I think it was. I think he already knew who got He's

got worse because he's been consistent all this while, all the way, he's

been consistent, and God said, these a man after my own heart.

How do you know? You know? It's like how people are known for

things. It's very funny that John said, I do media, and actually

I feel we are all are now there are a lot of younger people but

doing much better when it comes to media that I'm beat out of touch.

But you are known for things. And David was probably someone that when you

look at him like God, you know that God is with him. You

know that he spent a lot of time with God. And that was who

David was. He wasn't perfect, or so I mentioned just now. He

made his fair share of mistakes, but the way he responded to God made

him different, and God honored him God. Only he knew who his God

was. He knew who He's God was. And that is a very important

point. It's not about his ability. You know, we look at the

ability. Again, men look at the outside, but God looks at the

insight. He knew that. Okay, God, you must be with mea

how many of you have been that situation? Got God? I know I'm

facing the giant, but you must be with me. If you are with

me, everything is okay because you and you are confident, No, because

you know that God has saved you. He's like, hey, I got

to see what is before. God has provided before in other things. God

has blessed me before in the past, you have experienced before. If you

have never experienced before, then then Okayla, you never experienced before. But

if you have experienced before, when a non challenge come, you'll be more

confident. God can. This mountains seemed bigger, But I'm sure God can

because He's provided before, and because he's provided before, and because he's healed

before. Because I've seen him before, I will believe him. That is

David. I'm sure you're some of you here with that experience because God has

done it for you before. When it comes to the same thing. You

to whom also he gave testimony and said, I have found David,

the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, who will do

all my will. And from this man's seat, according to the promise,

God raised up Israel saved Jesus. David is a big deal. So a

big deal that God actually honored him. Amen, Even Jesus came from his

lineage. I think that's quite a big deal. So, friends, back

to the title of the message, What is God looking for when he sees

this church where he sees you, guys, when he sees everyone, what

is he looking for? He's looking for people after his own heart. Have

you ever considered before, you know, our response our relationship with God?

How is it? Like? Is it just because we know God is God?

We know he is ruler over all, he is all authority. Do

we approach him just as okay, God, your God? Or have we

even asked him before? Like I think, God, what is on your

heart? In said, I tell them what's on my heart? Asking what

is on your heart? Can I do what is on your heart? You

know? I it's like, you know, the how how do I explain

it? You know, as a parent, right, because now I got

a chance to be a I mean god, chance to be a parent.

Got two kids, so I realize the relationship. I can identify a little

bit to how God being a father, the role of a father because when

you are an individual and and sometimes maybe in a little bit hard to imagine.

When you're in individual, your response people it's just about you, yourself

one, okay, me and the person. But when you are caring for

someone else, it's a different dynamic, you know. And if my son

comes to me and instead of just asking him asking me what he wont he

wanted? What he wan? And Sunny comes to me and says, actually,

Dad, what do you want? Wow? Oh whoa? You know,

it totally changes the dynamic. I think it's a bar. I'm like,

tell me what you want, I'll give it to you. It totally

changes. No, it changes your heart as well. And when we approach

God and say God, actually, what is in your heart? Now?

Can you teach me? I want to follow that versus the lot you please

help me change the dynamic a little bit. And I think God will be

so happy that you know what, Just tell me what you need, I'll

give it to you. And I think that's what happened with David, because

he was God was confident that this guy is a guy up to my heart.

David didn't say that. No, God is don't want to say about

David that no matter what happens, he'll follow my will. So God is

looking for that second. Chronicles six nineteen says for the eyes of the Lord

run to and throw throughout the whole earth to show himself strong on behalf of

those whose heart is loyal to him. Are we loyal to the Lord or

is it conditional? God, you bless me the loyal You bless me in

the one you reveal yourself to me and one I do. Or are we

loyal to him through thick and thin, through good times and bad times?

Sometimes we go through challenging times as a believer. And I've had my fashion

of challenging times, you know, um, so that we can grow.

If David didn't go through the lion and the bear, imagine if he just

didn't he had to fight the lion, the bear, Okay, No,

I would guess it's not so easy, lah or you're like God, I

just speak a word and then they would that I don't know, Lah,

Okay, he actually had to fight him, He actually to work for it.

Um. There will be times in our lives as believers that we were

to walk through the value of the should of death. And God is gracious

because He will take care of us. Do you know that? Do you

know that, however difficult life can get for you, that you will still

be able to live a bunony because all you need is God by your side?

Do you know that? Not a method, not a concept, but

God in that boat? He is looking for people. He's looking for true

worshippers John Fall, Twony three. But the hour is coming, and now

is when the true worhippers, who worship the Father in spirit and true for

the Father, is seeking such to worship him. I know I gave a

very funny example just now about guitar, and you know, Exput has been

here for a while. I'm sure the worship him or one I have a

drum said, and a nice system and all that kind of stuff. But

is it the most important thing? Because what is God looking for in worship,

no I um may have the opportunity to grow as second generation Chrisian and

I realized when I was younger and growing in church, we learn a lot

of things which now a little bit different now the general I won't go through

detail. One of the things I learned personally is that no matter how good

or bad the worship leader is, or how chawum they are, I was

the worship got costcott. This is my worship. It's not about the song.

It's not about this is so low toll. This morning they sang over

the mountains and the seas, and I'm like, this is cf song men's

old school, it's not. The younger ones would be like it is new.

I'm like, oh, what can old school songs sing the newest song?

More? Feeling right easy about that worship? When Jesus said when when

Jesus said worship is spirit and true? What does he mean? H When

come here means I see the worship leader, then you will determine the way

I worship. Is it? We got to think about that because we can

get into that because we're human. But we've got to check our hearts.

Who are we worshiping? Is God? We give him our best. He's

looking for people who will follow his word in commandments. The Book of the

Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day

and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written

in it. For when then you will make your way prosperous, and then

you will have good success. So this is something that I'm beginning to learn

more and more. The Bible is the book of the Law, and if

you want to be mark my words, if you want to be successful in

life, then you've got to meditate in his word and follow it. That

is the simplicity of what we believe in. And of course success is not

just in moneytary terms. It could be many, many terms. If you

understand it's true, I believe you will be blessed. Um. I was

just giving this example of like I was. I had an opportunity to connect

with someone you day for dinner and we were just having a conversation. This

person's going to go overseas to study masters, and I'm like, yeah,

what are you studying? And the person mentioned that that they're going to study

some like positive behavioral psychology or something like that. La okay, something to

their factor and and it was very interesting because it's a new concept in psychology

okay, psychology and study of mind and human and all. And and the

person mentioned is like, you know now is very hanged this because um,

it's about the approach of it, you know, not fixing the person necessarily,

but and addressing the person's problem, but sort of like knowing what's the

challenge and finding the best in that in that person, meaning looking instead of

focusing on the weakness, focus on the strength something like that. And the

person made this comment and say as they are learning more about this, right,

the person say, hey, this sounds like sound of the things it

took from the Bible. And then I came to this like a thing you

know when you talk about science, and you thought about psychology and you talk

about all these things. Right, it is human study of life. Okay,

human study. Right, we go do a PhD and all. But

the Bible has been around for a long time. Reday a lot of truth

in the Bible, right, Okay, maybe we don't have like study and

research done yet specifically about this, But don't you think that when God says

when you follow God's word, you will have abundant life. That is what

we mean. But maybe there is a mental block that we have because when

you approach Bible and Christianity, it is oh religion, spirituality, it is

all this, you know, like magic at that. It's not like guys,

if we follow God's word, I believe we will be blessed. You

don't have to come out with any other way of doing it, you know,

because God's word came from God, our creator. Kill I'm always simplifying

the approach, but I believe that that's true. The book of the Law

shall not depart from your mouth. God wants us to trust in Him and

rely on him constantly. In the Bible, you read Probabs three five six

says trust the Lord in all your heart, and lean not on your own

understanding in all your ways. Acknowledge him, and he shall direct your path

trusting him. Don't trust yourself. Trusting him, don't lean on your own

understanding, and you will be fine. Right And finally, he wants us

to follow his will so that we can prosper and have good success. Meant

you sixth to retreat sicky first the Kingdom of God his righteousness, and all

these shall be added to you. I have a question for us this morning.

Can we be a people after God's own heart? Can we come to

this space and say, okay, God, try it? Try it?

Guys? No one of the statements I mentioned just now, as you know,

you know all the stuff that I'm sharing you Now, do you know

how you know whether it is true? If you do it? If you

don't do it, you will never know. How How did David come to

this place where he was so confident because he experienced it. He experienced it.

He probably told his brothers about it. They probably don't believe him.

They're in the same family and know guys, they believe in the same God.

No, but you look at the response. It's very different from one

person who goes after God's own heart, knows who God is, have real

life experience of God delivering him. He knew God. Can we know God

that way? Can we ask God? God? Maybe I'll change it a

little bit, Tell me once on your heart, Tell me how I can

submit to you more. Lord, You know my dream's desires. Okay,

God knows, God knows one, He knows, He knows. He also

knows how good for us? Can we come to this place? Is Okay,

God is surrendered to you. Lord, you take over, Lord,

I will follow. I want to follow your will? Can we change it

a little bit? And the only way you will know and the only way

you experience him is if you do it no other way. You can stand

here or you can sit there, sorry, and listen to the testimonies.

You can you can, you can hear. The only way you will know

that. The only way the person that experienced healing in the tumor, I'm

sure they'll be like, this is definitely could. That's the only way.

So try it, lad, That's my challenge. Try it. Try it.

Engage God in a way. Can we be a people after his own

heart? Amen? And then you will start saying things happen, and then

you will start experiencing things, and then you're like, oh man, I've

been believing for testimony all this while and then now it's happening. Why Because

when you are a man after God's own heart, when you are a woman

after God's own heart, he would take care of you, would David didn't.

I don't know what David did or didn't do that. I mean half

the time he was running from Saul. Right. If you read the Bible.

Half the time he was doing that, and of course not everything when

fine one you see head drama. But God still said he is a man

after my own heart. God still honored him. He's still until today we

was still talking about David. It's amazing, right, how the personal decisions

that a man takes in his life can affect not just him, but everyone

else. Why do we have this example Because God wants to talk to you.

God wants to connect with you. You are the one that's important here.

That's why that's this example. That's why he reveals these things to us.
