You're listening to a message to go from ax Church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. We read from Mark chapter five versus twenty one
-
to forty two, and some of you may know this story all right,
-
but if not, it's okay, we'll go through it. Okay. I've
-
been going through a series uh at the Subang one thirty service, going through
-
uh, you know, talking about Heaven rules. I've been going through almost
-
chapter by chapter from from the Book of Daniel. It's pretty interesting and I'm
-
pretty excited because there's so much I guess evidences of how Heaven rules actually exists
-
in the Book of Daniel itself. So I encourage you if you haven't gone
-
through book with Daniel, don't just stop at book six, sorry, chapter
-
six. Go beyond that as well. There's a lot of gems in there.
-
But let's come back to this, okay, Mark chapter five versus twenty
-
one to forty three. And you also see a little bit of a Heaven
-
rules in here as well. Okay, so far, all right, let's
-
a good time. Okay, rush okay, Mark twenty one, Okay,
-
forty three, I'm gonna read everything. Wow, quite Fabiah, God help
-
him a girl restored to life, a woman healed. That's the title.
-
Okay. Now, when Jesus has crossed over by boat to the other side,
-
a great multitude gathered to him. Some people believe, oh, he
-
says here right, he was by the sea. Some people believes is a
-
big lake. Lah, but doesn't matter. See your lake is fine and
-
beyond. One of the rulers of the synagogue, Gyrus by name, and
-
when he sorry, when he when when he saw him Jesus, that is,
-
he fell at his feet and begged him, Jesus earnestly, saying,
-
my little daughter lies at the point of death. Okay. So something to
-
note here, very quickly, just to take a pause. The girl is
-
dying, okay, the girl is not dead yet, dying a present tense.
-
Okay, Come lay your hands on her, that she may be healed
-
and she will live. And so Jesus went with him, and a great
-
multitude followed him and thrown him. Okay, So this one is Jesus the
-
It's not a coplay event, but you know it's something similar. Everybody wants
-
a glimpse of Jesus because they've heard of this, you know, awesome person.
-
And the miracles that he can perform. So everybody was just following him.
-
So this is the background. Now, a certain woman had a flow
-
of blood okay, or she was bleeding lave for twelve years. It's a
-
very long time. And she had suffered many things from sorry, suffered many
-
things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had basically a saving
-
savings, and was no better, but rather grew worse. Okay. When
-
she had heard Jesus was in town, she came behind him in the crowd
-
and touched his garment, for she said, if only I may touch his
-
clothes, I shall be made well. Immediately, the fountain of her blood
-
had was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed
-
of the affliction or some versions will say suffering. Okay. And Jesus,
-
immediately, knowing in himself that the power has gone out of him, turned
-
around in the crowd and say, who touched my clothes? We're talking about
-
Jesus. Everybody's touching your clothes. Law. But he felt that sudden search.
-
Okay. But his disciples said to him, you see multi multitude tronging
-
you, and you say who touched me? It's like, hey, it
-
gonna be ridiculous. La, everybody's touching you. He looked around to see
-
who had done this. And then eventually the woman, fearing and trembling,
-
knowing that what has happened, came and fell before him, told him the
-
whole truth. And he has said to her daughter, your faith has made
-
you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction. Okay.
-
While he was speaking, some of them came to the ruler, sorry,
-
the ruler of the synagogue's house, who said this, Garus Houser, your
-
daughter is dead. Why trouble the teacher any further? As soon as you
-
just heard the word he had spoken, and some some versions say that as
-
soon as he heard this he just ignored, okay, what they said.
-
He said to the ruler of the synagogue, do not be afraid, only
-
believe. Don't be afraid, just believe. Isn't that our ex church motto?
-
Right? Just believe? Okay? And he permitted no one to follow
-
him except Peter James John, the brother of j and the brother of James,
-
sorry, Peter John, the brother of James. Then he came to
-
the house of the ruler of the synagogue, saw the tama or an uproar,
-
okay, and those who wept and wailed loudly, he came in.
-
He said to them, why make this commotion and weep? The child is
-
not dead but sleeping. And he ridiculed him. But he had put them
-
all outside. He took the father and the mother and the child who was
-
with was there with them, entered the child, entered where the child was
-
lying. Then he took the child by the hand and said, the litter
-
to me, which trys to the little girl, I say to you a
-
rise. It's like a Star Wars moment for those of you who like Star
-
Wars arise anyway. Immediately the girl rose and walk for for and she was
-
twelve years of age, okay, no vis of age. And then overcame
-
in a great amazement, and he commanded them strictly that no one should know
-
it, to know it and sit. Something should be given to her to
-
eat, or basically saying, don't just stand there. The girl is hungry.
-
She's been in linea for quite some time. Get her a big mat
-
to eat. Okay, all right, so I know a lot of scripture,
-
a lot of scripture, and thank you for burying me, because you
-
know after all. This is church, so we are to not just receive
-
from the world, but also hear off the world as well. And as
-
I was preparing this message, my chips friend will notice, I'm very bad
-
with coming up with titles. Okay, and I thought title number one,
-
okay, faith heels and and that's a very simplistic title. But as I
-
was going through this, I actually went through and I caught a lot more
-
than this. And there's no coincidence why these two straw stories, although they
-
are very different, they're put in the same passage. Okay, I'll talk
-
about this in a bit. So I titled this message shoot shoe literally shoot
-
uh, you know, shoe right, go away shoe okay, And I
-
explain why this means, and it will quickly go back, go back again
-
to the last verses of forty and forty one. If you look at this
-
very carefully, and this is where they say they ridiculate him, and some
-
versions like the NIV will say they laughed at him. This Jesus are and
-
who are these people that laughed at him? What do you think? Who
-
are these people? People that may have some doubt, people that may be
-
unbelieving, people that you know, perhaps are the faithless, the argumentative kind,
-
all right, you know, people that sort of light up a room
-
whenever they step out of the room. They're kind of a people. Okay,
-
all right, they're kind of people, all right, So basically not
-
the happy kind of people are and people that sometimes you know, will always
-
find a problem in every solution that you provide. This is the kind of
-
people that we're talking about. And what did Jesus do. Jesus said he
-
had to put them outside. I've highlighted the scripture over there. He had
-
put them outside. What this simply means is that it literally probably took them
-
chuck them out, check them out. Okay, Now why is this important?
-
It's because only then the miracle happened. You notice this. Like I
-
said, the rest of the scripture, I think we know the story quite
-
well, but this portion here is actually very important because if you do not
-
put some of the things that do not belong there, aka the environment,
-
it's not right. The miracle will not happen here. Okay, Erica so
-
far, okay, all right, So he physically took him out, took
-
them out rather Okay. So sometimes we sing, you know, very good
-
songs Jesus always a good, good God, etc. But Jesus can quite
-
gangst at times when he needs to be. Okay, and this is exactly
-
what has happened there. He literally took them out because they were not helping
-
the situation. Okay, they were not helping the situation, and so Church,
-
I wanted to just quickly stay here, and I feel the type that
-
likes you know, the watching YouTube video and then the synopsis is already given
-
to you at the front. You stopped watching from the first five minutes or
-
first two minutes. This is exactly it, all right. The atmosphere and
-
the environment that surrounds it is actually more important than the miracle itself. Sometimes
-
we focus so much on the miracle we forget that the environment has to be
-
right for the miracle to happen. Okay, so this is the short summary.
-
So I'm done here. If you're want to go home, hallelujah,
-
thank you Jesus. But yeah, let's go a bit deeper, all right,
-
everyway, okay, so far, so everybody say shoo, go away.
-
These are the things that people unbelief, things that are not right,
-
things that need to be cast out. You need to do that before you
-
can see breakthroughe now background background to this story. These two stories, they're
-
very different if you think about it, right. One is the one is
-
of gyros a rather you know, influential person. And then of course this
-
other lady is maybe less popular. Okay, but they are actually connected.
-
And this is a reason why the author has chosen to put these two characters.
-
Just like how you know, we have to watch movies. Are you
-
always wonder how come this movie startsuff like this and then suddenly cross path with
-
this person and then why why are they intertwined? But the fact is that
-
all our lives, right, regardless of whether you like it or not,
-
our lives are actually intertwined. Okay. What I mean by that is sometimes
-
you may get so caught up with the things that we're going through we forget
-
that actually there's a lot of similarities in what we're going through. And I
-
explain hopefully at the end of this you understand what I mean by we're all
-
intertwined. Remember pandemic? Yeah, somehow everybody I can relate to what you're
-
going through, right because you know, same same, right, same same
-
at a time. Okay, And this is one of the things. And
-
what I'm trying to say is that sometimes if we are too focused up on
-
ourselves, right, we will not be able to see what God has placed
-
in front of you. And there is a danger there because sometimes the opportunity
-
is not so much just for ourselves, but for rather how we can be
-
you know, ensuring that His will be done true us and around us.
-
But it's not just you, because we're all our lives alt twine. And
-
I explain to you why I mean by we're all connected, but maybe not
-
on the surface. Just like this story over here. Okay, we're all
-
connected. Miracles will merge. Okay, testimonies or touches our decent. That's
-
why we share testimis as well. Right, even though testimate happens to person
-
A, it also impacts person B. Right, And this is what I'm
-
talking about, all right, Cool, We're all connected, but maybe not
-
on the surface. Now, Mark here, like I said, talks about
-
this person Gyrus, a well known person, a synagogue leader or maybe a
-
pastor of the time, if you if you can catch the the illustration.
-
Now he starts up by also talking about this woman if the issue of blood.
-
All right, and there's a reason why they put the two together.
-
As I mentioned, Now, let's look at the differences first, Okay.
-
Firstly, Gyrus Gyrus is a man, okay. The lady is a woman.
-
Okay, so different. Okay. Secondly, we know Gyrus's name.
-
The other person is the unnamed woman. Okay, why I don't know that.
-
Now, as the ruler of the synagogue, he's obviously able to even
-
go come near the synagogue, whereas the woman because of her condition, and
-
if you know a bit of the background back then because of the uncleanliness,
-
she can even go close to the synagogue. Okay, that's the difference there,
-
and of course because why she's ceremonially unclean. Okay. The text also
-
tells you that Gyrus is affluent. Mean you say, it's well to do.
-
And the text also tells you at the same time, this woman,
-
although she had savings, she has spent all her savings in trying to find
-
treatment for the last twelve years, so she's probably broke. Okay, all
-
right, So the differences. Now, if you want to know what the
-
common nalities are, these are the common common nalities. Okay, I heard
-
you put up. Oh it's the slides up. Okay, I actually look
-
through an article. I'm an academic, so I like to do academic things.
-
There's a whole paper written about what the similarities are between these two,
-
so go look it up if you want evidences, but i'll summarize with you
-
to you the very short version of it. They're deeply connected, although it's
-
not on the surface. It's because life have put them together at the same
-
time. And this is where I want to say very quickly, that life
-
has this very I don't know it's a good or cruel thing, but they
-
sort of level the playing field. Remember it's the pandemic. Everybody is same,
-
right, regardless of whether you can afford it or not. You are
-
same, you are housebound, you are this and that right. And this
-
is exactly what I'm trying to say right here, because they were both hit
-
by something they both couldn't handle, and therefore they need to seek a higher
-
order to solve the problem. So although different, they are the same same,
-
very good, very good. Right. Life is leveling the playing field.
-
This is a time where life, with regardless of wherever you are,
-
money cannot solve it. You know, you're past the kind of solve it
-
right. Friends may not be able to fix things, you know, and
-
you basically you're desperate. So I'm trying to say, you're basically desperate.
-
And what happens when people are desperate they go through God. I dare say
-
that sometimes right when we cannot understand the things that we're going through, right,
-
even eights will go to a higher order. Right, And this is
-
exactly what's happened here. So it's something saying God, I can't solve this,
-
I cannot do this alone, Please help me. And this is the
-
scenario with the two people. So same, same, same, same.
-
Okay, so not common on the surface again, but very common. Like
-
I said, you can read the scripture. I started the scripture, read
-
the items over there. There's actually a lot more in there than the surface
-
I've just covered. So why I'm trying to say here is desperation brought the
-
two together. Why do I say desperate? If you look at the scripture
-
that you just read, they were so desperate they were pushing people away just
-
to get to Jesus. Right. Ever seen that happen, or let's say
-
the modern day contexts, people will lift their hands higher when they when they
-
in worship, people will pray three times that they just likednild it. Maybe
-
because they are desperate, etc. Etc. You get the idea, right,
-
yeah, because why we need God? We are desperate and that's why
-
these two stories are tied together, because of that desperation. And if you
-
like a movie, and always like movies, right, think about Hollywood or
-
Netflix series or whatever. At the very beginning in this hospital, here you
-
see a person who just had a newborn baby. Kick the baby up,
-
look at me. Oh, you know, so nice firstborn child. And
-
then in the background you see another lady who's probably had the results that she's
-
gonna be bleeding for the next sometime. She doesn't have a clue, and
-
so this is the kind of Hollywood movie that we often say. And then
-
of course the movie will go on, and then you see the intertwiners.
-
And why do I say this is because the twelve years for the chelfiars of
-
bleeding and the chelf years for the child's age. Right, she has some
-
significance here, and I'll talk about it in a little while. Okay,
-
so same, same, but not quite the same, but the same same.
-
Okay, all right, So Gyrus, let's just look at the desperation
-
side of things. Against since we're going back the desperation gyus, he gets
-
to Jesus first, first in line, first to get the queue. Let's
-
say, for example, Samuels Samuel Stephen is here, say, even though
-
your brother goes aware to get confused. Yeah, so it's like, oh,
-
you know, my my my child son. Well, I need to
-
talk to the pastor of the church or the CPC of the church. I
-
go to the highest in that space. So I get a ticket with Stephen
-
first, any kind of my house like, I need, I need some
-
prayer. My daughter is dying, okay, and uh, you can see
-
the daughter is dying to his present ensa dying, not dead yet. So
-
Jesus of course took the house call, and he was eventually gonna get there,
-
right, get to get to the place. But he was, of
-
course, that's a comment, hurry up her up, she's dying. You
-
know when people dye or going through something, right, your voice probably also
-
goes out in the octaveer know, right, come on, come on,
-
hurry her up? Why are you like, come on, come on,
-
clear the way I'll push people aside. Jesus, you gotta go, you
-
gotta go. Uh, and and and and and and help her. All
-
right, So that's one thing now, um coming, let me just quickly
-
pick a pause over there. Remember I said that the two are connected.
-
Okay, now, Jarius, the goal is child years old, right,
-
the woman child fiss of bleeding. So, like I said, the scenari
-
I gave you, like the Netflix movie, you probably may even be in
-
the same hospital at the same time, the same moment. But they don't
-
realize it because they don't realist their paths crossed at that point in time.
-
But the past eventory collided. Now you see what's important for this, And
-
I believe that treealth is not just a coincidence. Okay, not just a
-
coincidence. Okay, But before I even go there, let me just quickly
-
read from scripture. I've got this up all right. Romans Trail talks about
-
rejoicing with those who rejoice, and mourn with those who mourn. Now,
-
how often do we do that? Oftener? Hopefully if you're one of those
-
that say often, great, you are there. And this is exactly what
-
I'm trying to remind us all that sometimes we are so busy with life,
-
right, you cannot afford to not look around you. You cannot afford to
-
just neglect people around you, because sometimes maybe God is placing you in that
-
situation, in that space to be a blessing. All right, But because
-
we are so caught up with what we are going through, we may not
-
see the similarities. So let's rejoice with those that rejoice, and weep with
-
those who we just like the Bible tells us. Okay, now let's come
-
back to twelve. What's significant? Twelve? Okay? I know there's a
-
lot of significance there, but I put up just some of the many,
-
okay, And and I believe that the number twelve would tell something, Okay,
-
because again it's no coincidence. Twelve What is the significants? Twelve commandments?
-
Right? Twelve commandments some of the more popular ones. You don't need
-
a Bible degree to know that a trail commandments child has a big number for
-
God. You remember the covenant that God has for Abraham and his sons and
-
the descendants, etc. How many siens did he have after that? Twelve
-
as well? And the twelve will eventually become the twelve tribes of Israel,
-
right, so the promise carries on. You know, the high priests head
-
they twelve gems on the breastplate. The resents are called the chield tribes of
-
Israel as well. Okay, I've got lots of scripture there. You can
-
fact check if you won. Okay, I have no time to go to
-
it. But needless to say that in Old Testaments chelf was a restifficent number.
-
But let's just also move on to New Testament as well, and the
-
past forward. Jesus started his ministry, or rather started talking to people or
-
even going to the synagogue when he was twelve. Twelve years old, you
-
know some kido chico from you know, lower primaries, so upper primary school
-
is going and hanging rubbing shoulders with the with the people. I mean,
-
my son just sent twelve. So I'm like, hey, this guy rubbing
-
shoulders, he past a kenneth. Nah, I don't think solar. But
-
but it's a marvel, marvel of the power and the wisdom of Jesus when
-
he was twelve. So twelve is a big number for God. Why and
-
very simplistic night shell twelve signifies the authority and power of God, okay,
-
or simplistically putting it, Heaven rules, Heaven rules. Okay, he's saying
-
that I don't care about your sicknesses. I don't care about your diseases.
-
I don't care about calamities they're going through life, etc. Nothing you're facing
-
is not under the jurisdiction of God and under the authority and power of God
-
is probably what they're saying right here, because he uses the word twelve.
-
All right. You know, if I were Jesus, right, I probably
-
stopped at the twelve eleven disciples because I know what's going to cross me.
-
But no, he even Jesus went on in the twelve. So twelve is
-
authority and power. Okay, And so back to the story that we're talking
-
about. I don't think it's issue of faith alone, but there's also the
-
authority that is recognized by the two. Okay, So the awareness of authority
-
is a bit different between the two care that we just read over here.
-
Now, the question is what is your awareness of the authority of God in
-
your life? And if your awareness is there, right, it determines how
-
much of a miracle you actually receive. Okay. A lot of people talk
-
about faith only. Now faith is only one aspect of it. Authority that
-
goes to that faith is actually more important than the faith alone. Okay.
-
It's what I'm trying to say here. Okay, because if your awareness of
-
God's authority is there, you actually receive more from him. Okay, just
-
now we sung mountains bow down and the seas will row. You know,
-
the power of God that powers we're talking about the same power authority can actually
-
move mountains. That is the thing we're talking about. And it's not just
-
about faith. And often we read that scripture that we just read earlier,
-
right, we reduce it to just a simplistic story about faith. Yes,
-
it is about faith, but it's not just about faith. It's what I'm
-
trying to say here. Okay, because the daughter is healed. Yes,
-
you just said the daughter your faith has healed you. But again not the
-
nine faith. Faith is important if you want to read true scriptures. Hebrew
-
one, sorry, Hebrew eleven will say faith is substance of all things hoped
-
for. It's the evidence of things not seen. Without faith, it's impossible
-
to please God, et cetera, et cetera. All those things are important,
-
But faith alone right with doubt authority. Right, It's like, uh,
-
I use this analogy of like faith. Let's say faith is like an
-
anchor all right that you throw off a boat, all right, to ensure
-
that you're anchored in something. Now, if you were to throw off or
-
deposit that faith or use that faith, we doubt making sure it's tied to
-
something. In tandem, your anchor is useless. Essentially, right, you
-
will sink your boat was due jalant or move right. So the authority is
-
almost like that rope that is tied with the anchor and then in tandem with
-
the ship they're on. Ensures that you will see that miracle come to pass.
-
Okay, So don't just take faith alone. Faith is a pure to
-
say yes. But with authority is another level of faith. It's why I'm
-
trying to say here, okay, So connect your faith with the authority of
-
God. Okay, and you'll take it up another level. Okay, all
-
we know this scripture, I put out a scripture over the next one.
-
All right. All it takes is just faith of a very little only is
-
sufficient. So sometimes you say, oh God, how come this miracle is
-
not happening in my life? How come things are not going the way it's
-
supposed to plan? How come it's not going to do the way you promise
-
me? And you begin to doubt whether there's faith in your life. Don't
-
Faith is there, But maybe the question is really do you have the authority
-
that goes with that faith to ensure that faith is activated to another level.
-
It's why I'm trying to say here. Okay, So if you struggle with
-
faith, that's one thing. Sorry, if you struggle with faith, maybe
-
the question also is about whether you understand the authority that comes with that faith,
-
okay, because as you mentioned earlier, really all you need is just
-
small faith. So it's never about the size of your faith. Really,
-
it is the object that your faith is going to be tied to. And
-
I believe that if you connect your faith with His authority, your faith,
-
like I said, will go to up to that level, because why we
-
believe that God has the ultimate authority. Heaven rules over here. Heaven Heaven
-
rules right. So if your faith struggle and when when we're saying, you
-
know, um, it's all about faith. No no, no, no,
-
you look at look at Jesus. Now we sung about moving you know
-
the seas, uh, just coming the seas, right. I think one
-
of the songs that we sung earlier, it's a story I'm going to use
-
right to to illustrate the faith now in the story in the in the in
-
the boat where the disciples are all like panicking like crazy, right, and
-
then what was you doing in that scenario? Sleeping? Probably snoring, yeah,
-
snoring, having a you know, a very relaxing time. But the
-
rest are having a panic attack? Right? Why? Because can you say
-
that there's no faith? Maybe? Lah? Maybe, but again a little
-
bit is enough, right, But they do not understand that the authority is
-
actually in that boat as well? What did you just do stood out there?
-
You know, do a hocus pocus mumbo jumbo, Calm, stay calm?
-
Why? Because he knew the authority in him, the authority that his
-
father has given him, and he can actually calm the sea. Now whenever
-
we go through, like I said, some things that are beyond things that
-
we can understand. Again, you use the pandemic as an example. We
-
often think that things are out of control. Right? Do you think in
-
heaven they're going to a panic attack? Up there? We are? Right?
-
We are? Oh man, how you know, I'm a grown man.
-
I kind of got my house. How mun do do do? Do?
-
Do? Do? Also thinks how how is the company going to survive?
-
How this is going to work out, etc. But I can tell
-
you in the boardroom upstairs, everything is calm collected. Why because authority is
-
up there right, So there's no penning attack. So what I'm trying to
-
illustrate here is that if you understand who's in control and put your authority and
-
your faith in that person, anxieties should should be like what Jesus did to
-
them, like rebuilt them right A you are have some faith, not just
-
have some faith. Understand who's in authority over here. So one praying to
-
say is that faith is never the problem, but the awareness of the authority
-
may be a bigger problem. So it is my prayer that we often sometimes
-
do a heart check whenever things do not go according to I know a going
-
to plan right, because he has the final say. Not when until the
-
fact that these things you know, it's until Jesus sings. You know he
-
has the final say, right, if you know the expresh, no matter
-
what's going on, Like I said, always tie back your faith to his
-
authority and you'd be fine. Now let's go back to the story Gyrus versus
-
the woman. Everywhere so far, it's gonna be deeper, right, Gyrus
-
is a woman. They both probably a faith, right because one knew.
-
But I think the level awareness is a bit different between the two. Let's
-
do through Gyrus. Okay, Gyrus went through the the correct procedure, all
-
right, he got a ticket, He called the local pastor to his house
-
because why he knew the the soop. Okay, because he himself was the
-
leader of the synagogue. All right, so uh he did what is right.
-
You know, he probably even at home, you know, played worship
-
music, you know, highly thanking Jesus. You know, he healed my
-
daughter, et cetera, and he was going to go through the whole process
-
of getting Jesus to the house for the healing to happen. Now the woman
-
has another level of wareness of authority because she probably thinks that I have no
-
time for all this law, or do you just touch? I mean,
-
I'm not encouraging that you go and cut queues and all that. But you
-
get my trying to say healer the authority that she isn't the authority a little
-
bit different because she's so desperate that she said, even though I can touch
-
without having to go to all the processes, right, I was still received
-
that healing because she understood with that faith that she has the little bit and
-
with the authority that my miracle will come just by touching Jesus. And that's
-
all it takes. Okay, and again if you haven't heard it before,
-
really, the whole thing about building faith actually relates to recognizing the ultimate authority,
-
not just on faith alone, because faith, like I said, it's
-
a small thing. Whenever you think faith is the problem, it is not
-
the problem. I want to tell you this. Perhaps you need to be
-
talking to the right people to ensure that it accompanies that faith and so that
-
your faith can be taken up to another level. Now, I'm one person
-
who likes to you know, who likes customer service or customer services good?
-
And who who? Who on earth? Who in this place loves good customer
-
service? So I've been okay, good, all right, and you understand
-
what I'm trying to say. Right, Sometimes when you when you let's say,
-
in a restaurant, you know, you you get a service that a
-
bit subpar you you then what do you do? You will probably a hello,
-
you know, how comes this thing? Got this thing here? Right?
-
And sometimes if the thing cannot be resolved, let's say, there's a
-
hair day or whatever. Then you what what would you do next? Go
-
to the boss? Okay, okay, at least I'm not the only one
-
that is un Christian here, right, I'm like, hey, bringing the
-
manager called the supervisor? All right, let me talk to the boss.
-
Why why do you do that? Why do we do that? More authority?
-
Yes, you understand that, because why the person that is up there
-
probably has the flexibility or the ability to actually make a call. All right,
-
So this is what we're talking about. We want to talk to the
-
supervisor, right, talk to the boss so that things are not talking about
-
being rude or anything. You all just saying that you wan't to talk to
-
red person because there's no point talking to the underling. All right? Now,
-
the question is what do we approach? Who do we approach whenever we
-
go through calamities and struggles and all that? Boss? Who's the boss?
-
Got la? But do we do that all the time? It's probably the
-
question, And like I said, it's just we do We will do that
-
if you understand who the ultimate boss is or we remember who the ultimate authority
-
is. So if you don't do that, right, sometimes I think it's
-
just a heart check of again it's not faithful near But it's really about understanding
-
the authority that is in charge. And and I'll tell you another quick story,
-
um um. I booked a etiquette to to a domestic flight between Perth
-
and where I'm going to Australia for some time. So I book a domestic
-
flight from Point View. And I was so desperate to book it because I
-
think the prices were going up a little bit. So I got my wife
-
to book it for me. While I was driving, she using on the
-
laptop and then she booked the ticket and then at the end of the payment
-
at the end over there, the payment says that there's an error in payment.
-
So later when I stopped the car, I actually put another booking.
-
True, okay, so that was half the story. When I went home
-
later that evening I found out I she had two bookings. And it's one
-
of those who know la cheap skater nonrefundable tickets, so it was not cheat.
-
I think probably costs like one thousand over Perth to Perth to Melbourn actually
-
quite far so it costed probably about one point two grand ring it one way,
-
so I paid twice. They were like, oh man, how law
-
I was saying, jet starts to jet starts probably cheaper anyway. So I
-
thought, okay, let's just give you a goal. Talk talk to the
-
I tried to chat, you know, CHET, talk to somebody, the
-
person couldn't resolve it. What happens after that? Escalate to the line manager.
-
The manager you're not because I can see the time sense of the CHET
-
in three minutes resolved the situation. That's the power of people in authority,
-
all right, because that's a testing for another day. But but but yeah,
-
in a very short thing, is that really people in authority? And
-
she gets in going. I shared her story with you before the pandemic,
-
we myself and my wife, we went to China. She was there for
-
work, so as part of her work, she was actually looking for a
-
venue for a big event. Okay, And at the end of our trip
-
we had to extend our stay a little bit. So there was one or
-
two days that we don't have accommodation, haven't sorted it out, so we
-
were just going around trying to find an accommodation to to to to stay because,
-
like I said, no no foresight, I worry hopeless in this department.
-
But anyway, as part of that that that after the first few official
-
a few days of looking for a venue. And these are big hotels.
-
It's a big event, by the way, so they will have lavish place,
-
places to stay, lavish boy called meeting rooms, et cetera, because
-
it's going to be a launch of a very big thing. Okay. So
-
at the end of it, we were just at this another very exclusive hotel,
-
just trying to as part of her job, just trying to ask some
-
last questions before we hit out and find accommodation of our own. As we
-
were talking to the person, the person another manager just overheard the conversation and
-
say, why not I give you a place to stay so that you can
-
find out what the rooms are like as well. Uh and everything is foc
-
ending, by the way, this is one of those I camember is a
-
very atas in Shanghais place. Uh no, even higher than that anything.
-
Uh And and it's an executive suite. Okay. So from living on the
-
streets kind of a scenario, we went to exactly squeet and is because of
-
people in authority. It's in that place. Yeah, yeah, again I
-
digress a little bit, okay, But by good idea. Right, So
-
talk to the supervisor. Talk to your supervisors from trying to say here,
-
okay, who's the supervisor, Like I said, God, the Alpha and
-
the Omega? Right, Why because if you talk to the right person,
-
they can push the right buttons and make things work. So whenever you're going
-
to things, you say, I need to seek my supervisor. Your supervisor
-
is God, not your boss. And you know you need to speak to
-
the God of heaven and earth, right, not just the God of earth,
-
the God who is there from the beginning and here were there in the
-
end as well, all right, right, So so yeah, as as
-
we understand that he's got authority. Again, your faith is modern sufficient.
-
It's your awareness of the authority that needs to be revisited. So back to
-
this woman here. So twelve years, this woman has been speaking to probably
-
middle level managers in the hospital setting, okay, trying to get her things
-
solved. She's had enough. I'm going straight to the boss. And what
-
happens after that? The miracle came right because again she understood the persons in
-
authority over here. Now I'm going to take a pause over here, and
-
then he may scream, unfair, how come this person is, you know,
-
his position got taken away. Jesus had to his pause what he was
-
doing to help this lady, and often were like that, right. We
-
often say that, how come God, there's an interruption here? I thought
-
you promised me this and that. How come I'm seeing something else happening.
-
A miracle happening here, which is what the jaris probably is happening at his
-
probably oh in a moving his way around, come move side on side.
-
She says, Jesus, come, come, come, come, come,
-
come, you know my house is that way. And after a while he
-
rested, was Jesus, where do you go? And then Jesus was there
-
many many miles away here chilling? Then who touched my garment? Who touched
-
my garment? And then and then he said, you know, after that,
-
after a long, draggy scenario owning the woman, it was me all
-
right, came out and after that, what did you just do? Hey,
-
tell me a story. I'm not knocking women women here, but you
-
know when when when when the urgency right? Usually guys would normally give the
-
story a lot quicker, but jes invited the women to tell a story.
-
So you can imagine Gyrus over here, it's like, what on the world's
-
happening? My girl is dying? And you can afford to play trial questions
-
who touched me? And all the kind of things. My girl is dying,
-
you know, aren't me? Sometimes like that? Right? The desperation
-
that we're going through is, yeah, the world around me is collapsing.
-
Why on earth is Jesus there? Why isn't he here in my situation?
-
Okay? Interruptions can sometimes be invitations for a miracle. That's why I'm trying
-
to say here, okay, because you see, the good thing about this
-
story is that at the end the miracles still happen in this guy's life.
-
But of course at the time in situation, it didn't feel like it.
-
Lah, he didn't feel like it. So I think I'm gonna end sooner.
-
Really, so extreme can probably make their way up eventually. But Jesus
-
not only waits, he also waits for the women to come out in the
-
crowd because he didn't want to rush through things, right, He didn't rush
-
through things. And sometimes, like I said earlier, it can be frustrating
-
to see other people's miracles while you're waiting for your own miracle. Have you
-
ever watched someone get a promotion and you didn't get the promotion. Yeah.
-
Have you ever seen somebody who's been trying to have a kid for quite some
-
time and then celebrating with them. Yeah, but you yourself are struggling to
-
have a kid, and they be wondering why Lord? Why? You know
-
social media these days as a cruel It's a very cruel thing, right,
-
because you get to see all the things that people are celebrating about, the
-
good things Lord that they put up, and then you're wondering when it's in
-
my turn. I've been single alone for quite some time. I've been to
-
the hundred and tenth wedding and I'm still waiting for my lining, shining armor
-
or the other way around. Why Lord? Why? Why? But I
-
can assure you Church that sometimes it makes us go through these things, or
-
literally makes us watch these miracles for the purpose of reminding us that your miracle
-
is coming. Your miracle is coming. I know it's frustrating, but I
-
would encourage you that if he God did it for them, he can do
-
it for you as well. Right, So, Gyrus, maybe at a
-
time just had to understand, Okay, wow, he did it. Then
-
the healing. The twelve years of leading healing happened. And if you embrace
-
it differently, it may have really different what's that sound, time, sub
-
is it okay? Yeah? Yeah, Again, it might not be the
-
same for you the same manner. But God was simply saying this, if
-
you trust him that he has all the power and authority in the world,
-
in both earth and in heaven, you know that miracle will come. So
-
do not be afraid. Just believe, right, just believe. So back
-
to the very start, and I said, I promise you it will all
-
make sense. Back to the very start of the passage that we read in
-
verse forty. What did you just have to do? Take out those that
-
are disrupting the situation and preventing the miracle to happen? And you had to
-
cast it out out? And what those things you may ask, these things
-
that are not good the environment, that it's not perfect, you need to
-
cast it out. Maybe it's fear they need to go say shoe go away.
-
Sort of a miracle can happen. Maybe it's unbelief. You know,
-
you've gone through things, this thing over and over and over again, and
-
this lady has gone through things. Child of years shoo go away. Past
-
hurts, maybe impatience go away, anxiety go away, shoe disappointments, Like
-
I said, hurts go away as well. Why because if you understand who
-
is in authority and you recognize that Heaven rules, you know the miracle can
-
still happen. Just as in that story read the girl was just in bid
-
for a while. She's just lying down, resting. Although people say that
-
she's did. Jesus had to remove all those things that's preventing the miracle to
-
happen. And when that has been done, you know the miracle did come
-
to pass. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more information
