You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. Read from Mark chapter five. Okay, So
-
liveing a scripture today, because start off with verses twenty one and then and
-
in forty three verse forty three, okay, so bear with me, all
-
right. So this one is this story, I think, a very famous
-
story or of us probably know, but let's read together anyway. So now,
-
when Jesus has crossed over again by boat to the other side. Some
-
say it's the sea, some say it's the lake. Okay, whichever version
-
you read, it's fine. A great multitude gathered to him, and he
-
was by the sea, and behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue
-
came Gyrus by name. So this Gyrus was like the pastor, all right.
-
And when he saw him, he fell at his feet. He begged
-
him earnestly, saying, my little daughter lies at the point of death.
-
Translator, she's dying, well, okay, not yet dead, but dying.
-
Okay, Come and lay your hands on her, that she may be
-
healed, and she may she will live. Okay. So Jesus went to
-
him, and a great multitude followed him, and thronged him surrounded him.
-
Okay. Now, a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years.
-
Okay, she was bleeding. I think we know this storia. And
-
she and suffered many things from many physicians. So she's seen a lot of
-
doctors and there was no healing for a twelve whole years. Okay. She
-
she has spent all that she had, all her money, and she was
-
no better, but rather grew worse. And when she heard about Jesus,
-
how many loved the story about hearing about Jesus. Is so good to have
-
Jesus story available that they can actually come to see Jesus, the one that
-
can heal. Okay, And so we also called to be that agent's right
-
to spread the good news of all around the world, so otherwise people wouldn't
-
come to him. Okay. She came behind him in the crowd and touched
-
his garment, for she said, if I only may touch his clothes,
-
I shall be made well. Literally just a touch of heaven. Okay.
-
Immediately the fountain of a blood dried up. Wow, quite visula, and
-
she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction, or some
-
transition would say suffering and Jesus immediately, knowing in himself that the power had
-
gone out, turned around as the crowd and say, who touched my clothes?
-
Who touched me? A lot of people touching him? La, it's
-
like, but he's very specific this particular touch. He actually felt it all
-
right, and he was looking for the whoever touched him. But disciples said
-
to him, you see a multitude strong you, and you say who touched
-
me? It's almost like is silly? Questioned the askler. By anyway,
-
he looked around her to see her who had done this thing. But the
-
woman, fearing and trembling, eventually came out, knowing that what had happened
-
to her, came and fell before him and told him the whole truth.
-
And then he has said to her, daughter, your faith has made you
-
well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction. While he was
-
speaking, some of the some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house,
-
saying, your daughter, is that this is the original story just now where
-
Gyrus the daughters actually did really, Okay, why trouble the teacher any further?
-
So as soon as you just heard the word was spoken? And some
-
virgins they use the word. They ignored what they said. He said to
-
the ruler of the synagogue, do not be afraid, only believe, or
-
don't be afraid, just believe, okay and thirty seven. And he permitted
-
no one to follow him, even except Peter, James, John and the
-
brother of James. Then he came to the house of the ruler of the
-
synagogue. And then he saw the tumult or an uproar. Okay, and
-
those who wept and wailed loudly, so they were already starting a funerality,
-
okay. And he said to them, oh, sorry. When he came
-
in, he said to them, why make this commotion and weep? The
-
child is not dead but sleeping. Of course, they laughed at him,
-
and they ridiculed him. Okay, but when and sometimes we do that,
-
right, we're like, hey, don't you see the obvious he's already dead.
-
But what did he do? He had put them all outside the means.
-
He actually said, you guys, go out, go away, leave,
-
leave this place, and some transition, we wouldn't say that. He
-
actually physically removed the people that ridiculed him. Okay. He took the father
-
and the mother of the child, and those who were with him and entered
-
where the child was lying. And then he took the child by hand and
-
said, talita to me. Okay, he was translated to a little girl.
-
I say to you, arise, sounds like a Star Wars kind of
-
a thing. Darth way anyway, And immediately the girl rose and walked,
-
for she was twelve years of age. And then sorry, and they will
-
overcome with a great amazement. But he commanded them to strictly commanded them strictly
-
that no one should know it. Never. Don't tell anybody sit that something
-
should be given to her, so essentially saying, don't just stand there,
-
get a big mac or something to eat, la okay, because she's hungry.
-
She's been asleep for quite some time. So I know a lot of
-
scripture today, but that's pretty much all the scriptures for today. And I
-
think a lot of us has heard this story before. And the first thing
-
that you always think about is the miracle of the sleeping beauty that actually woke
-
up after that. Right, Honestly, when I was putting the title,
-
you know, I'm very bad titles. I always be very honest with you.
-
I was putting this thing about you know, getting up or rise or
-
rise up, you know, way there or something like that. But I
-
think that is a premature title because I think the climax of this is not
-
really about the child waking up, but actually in Jesus getting everybody out.
-
If you focus on verse forty, these are the people that ridicule him,
-
right, and in some versions that NIV says that they laughed at him.
-
They laughed at him, And who are these people? If you think about
-
it, these are people that are doubtless, people that are maybe perhaps unbelieving,
-
faithless, and those kind of words that you normally use, people that
-
are um that that you know, quote unquote a bit negative. Have you
-
ever heard people like that before? In a in a room whatever it is
-
you guys say, right, they come in, then the homewood changes,
-
and then they move out of the room. Everything sort of lights up.
-
Yeah, these are the same type of people that were talking about. Okay,
-
the doubtless. Okay, I hope you're not or not like this.
-
Luck, Okay, we're not supposed to be like this. But what did
-
you just do? Jesus said you have to actually go out, you have
-
to go away or the word I used to shoot, Right, it's for
-
the kids are actually shoe go go away, because why if you are there,
-
you're affecting the atmosphere, and the atmosphere is not going to make that
-
miracle happen. Okay, so those people need to go. Okay, and
-
this is uh. I highlighted the verse the verse forty. They ridiculed him,
-
and he had put them all outside, literally took them and removed.
-
Like I said, there in some transition there or some some scholars actually believe
-
that he physically took them and threw them out. Okay. With drama,
-
sometimes you always feel that, you know, you know, Jesus is always
-
this very nice, fluffy, teddy bear kind of a god. You know,
-
he's always very good, you know, but actually you know, he
-
can be quite gangster if he wants to, you know. Right in this
-
case, he said, okay, you've got to go because you're messing up
-
with this atmosphere here, and because of that, you're preventing the miracle from
-
happening. Okay, Okay. So now, today, like I said,
-
it's it's a passage that we probably is familiar with. But I would like
-
to also focus on some other aspects of the of the particular verse that we've
-
versus that we've read. Okay, So as you know, in life,
-
right, we actually have a lot of connections, and we're always intertwined.
-
Sometimes we don't even realize that we are connected. And you may see that
-
in this story, right, the two stories are very different, but somehow
-
they're intertwined and connected otherwise, right that the author will not put the two
-
stories together back to back, but they existed together the same place. And
-
sometimes we can easily miss this connections. I mean, especially when you watch
-
a lot of movies. Right, You see movies they don't know each other,
-
but actually they're in the same scenario kind of a storyline. Have you
-
seen those movies before and then after at the end the reviews that actually the
-
very beginning, they actually had some connections at the very start. And it's
-
actually like this, This journey of life is sometimes like that. We actually
-
deeply connected, more than what we can actually imagine sometimes, Okay, and
-
I think recently when we got hit by the pandemic, we even drew closer.
-
The connections are even closer. Why because we things are more relatable to
-
some extent. Okay, Otherwise, we get very busy, we get distracted
-
we forget that we're all doing this together. Recognizing that God is still in
-
control, that's one, but also recognizing that we're all in this red race
-
of life that we're doing together. But we often go to certain similarities.
-
But individually it may seem different, but we are all connected together. Okay
-
with that so far? Yeah, so life is like this. It's not
-
just your straight line is not joking's straight line, you know, it's not
-
waning straight line. Our paths are intertwined with each other. It's all interlinked
-
with each other. And this story, although they can be so different,
-
but let me just draw to some of the similarities in a little while.
-
Okay, sorry, Yeah, so Mark began opened me. Mark. Mark
-
began by talking about the synagogue leader, right, Gyrus is his name?
-
If you look at that, right, thank you? And they issue of
-
blood. You know, how are they connected together? The two are so
-
so different? Right, status wise is different? Um? You know,
-
firstly, genders are different. You know, one guy, one woman,
-
all right, Um, and you know for and you see the funny thing
-
is the guy's name is known, the woman's name is just the woman right,
-
so different one we know it is maybe a bit more affluent, maybe
-
a bit more wealthy. He's a pastor in that time, people know him.
-
The other person name or was it wasn't mentioned, And we'll probably know
-
that she's also very broke poor because you know, the story says that she's
-
spent all her life savings trying to fix that problem that she has for the
-
last twelve years to no avail. Okay, so very very different. Okay,
-
but um, they're completely opposite. By the same time, they're the
-
same same Okay, and what is the same same the'm talking about? Um,
-
just so that you are, I mean, you guys are convinced to
-
the next tent. I actually did find a research paper. Next next light,
-
I found a research paper. They talk about the same same stuff.
-
They actually had an entire publication or why these two stories are intertwined together.
-
So I'm just extracting some of the same sames are from a literature. Okay,
-
so they're deeply connected, and yet they are not. So you're gonna
-
read that. You're gonna look it at yourself. Okay, sorrow teases about
-
it. But life has put them exactly the same place, same situation,
-
same scenario, same era. Why because they're hit by some form of calamity,
-
some form of trouble they got. Life just basically came to them and
-
they couldn't find a solution to it. And that's the same same in a
-
nutshell, okay. And and the common commonality, right, is that they
-
couldn't handle the situation. Regardless of the situation that they're in, whether they
-
are rich, whether they are known, whether they are poor, it's still
-
the same thing. They couldn't handle it. So life is a very funny
-
thing because it's sort of when it hits you, right, it's sort of
-
evens out the playing field if you if you are if you get cancer,
-
regardless of whatever status you are, at whatever conditions they have, you know,
-
you still probably will you know, have to go through that. It's
-
it's it's level leveling, right. Maybe other scenarios, you know, you
-
can have a bit of differences, right, So this is the thing when
-
now one thing, one of the highlight is why they God put this together,
-
is because they also wanted to maybe perhaps bring some of the differences together
-
so that we know that we can't do this alone and we've allow God to
-
take control. That's the main gist of it, LA, And that's why
-
the author put these two together because even in cases for unbelievers, even atheists
-
saying things like this, if I cannot solve this, you know, God
-
help me in those scenarios, and we see people cry out for God even
-
more during the pandemic when they hit us because it was uncharted territive for a
-
lot of people. Right, people were desperate. So the commonality of these
-
two characters are they're both desperate, and sometimes God brings us through these journeys
-
and allow that desperation to happen to bring us together in that same common space
-
to even out the playing field to the next denty Okay, so far,
-
okay, so nothing common, but at the same time common and desperation.
-
As you approach God, you you also approach God very differently when you are
-
desperate. Right, you know these people they the first the first guy,
-
he pushed part away to find Jesus. The woman's same thing as well.
-
The common thing is that pushed part away just to touch Jesus's uh, you
-
know, clothes, right, And that's the desperation. So I put up
-
a slide over there. Yeah, you will approach God differently when you're desperate.
-
You tend to push people aside, not push you in the negative sense,
-
but you tend to go get it when you need something. It's not
-
like a rosy pathway to Jesus, you know, rows of petals there walk
-
towards him. A god. You know, hear me of this kind of
-
thing. It's not you have to push through, and people are pushed through,
-
pushing through, okay, to get what they need. So with this,
-
I mean people also worship harder, lift out their hands even higher,
-
maybe during worship, pray maybe from one time a day to three times a
-
day when they're going through something. Right, And this is what I mean
-
by pushing harder. You're desperate to see something happen in your life or in
-
that family member that is maybe in the dying bit. You know, you
-
want to pray for the person, you pray even harder. So desperation actually
-
sometimes open doors to an extent for miracles to happen. That's one, But
-
also it shuts the door of complacency. Just like how I say in the
-
pandemic, all of us are very complacent. Before we didn't think that we
-
will be going through those kind of struggles. But it takes that desperation to
-
actually reveal to us where we are at right otherwise blinded. So it takes
-
that desperation in this case for the story of Gyrus and also the bleeding lady
-
to have that understand the same commonality. Okay, so let's come back to
-
some details of the desperation, are we okay? All right? So Gyrus,
-
he was first in line, he came first, all right, So
-
it took a number, he got it first, right, and then he
-
gets to Jesus. He's desperate. Oh no, Jesus, my as the
-
story tells, my girl is dying. Is you no present tense? I
-
mean it's not yet dead. Dying That means like still something could be done.
-
It's like you you rush somewhe to the hospital and the ambulance. It's
-
still is hope, it's not dead yet. It's not it's not a different
-
kind of a vehicle. It's the it's the ambulance kind of a thing.
-
She's dying. He's not casually approaching Jesus. I I don't think he's like,
-
Jesus, you know, I've got a problem back home? Can you
-
when your time became la probably very very very very very desperate. That's my
-
God voice, right, It's like Jesus, hurry up, hurry up.
-
You know my girl is dying. Please come. You know I ever been
-
the institution before you call up? I don't want to do at the time.
-
As a story of the day, but Jess had something incident at home.
-
Some animal died at home. And then she was desperate. She caught
-
somebody Pino and I died anyway, another story for another day. But she
-
was desperate. People talked a bit differently, and and he was desperate at
-
the same time. Do you think the woman was not desperate. She's also
-
desperate. She's pushing, true, pushing through to get there. Okay,
-
she's hemorrhaging as she's pushing through. Okay. And and this is what the
-
author of this passage. One has to know that they are both the same
-
same Okay, these two stories are nected. Like I said, even read
-
the full version of the thing. You go and look up the journal hecticle.
-
Okay, but they are the same, even though they are different.
-
Okay. Now, because of this, there's also something that I wanted to
-
highlight, Okay, here is that there's also something special about the number twelve
-
over here. Remember the story about this this girl being twelve years old and
-
then this lady suffering for twelve years. So I said that, you know,
-
I made that funny joke about you know how in the Hollywood movie,
-
you know, somebody come out with the hospital. You know, they probably
-
came from the same hospital one the birth of the baby girl. You know,
-
oh, you know, so cute, you know, and then down
-
the hour the lady come out. Oh man, I'm leading. There's no
-
solution to it. Probably the same hospital. And Hollywood can do a good
-
thing these things, right, They make it sound so Hollywood, But it's
-
exactly like that. They may have even cross paths. But they do not
-
realize that there are you know, um together and and but but let me
-
just move on to the trail. They even they didn't see each other.
-
They don't know what each other is like. And sometimes you are like that,
-
when you are preoccupied with your own problems and challenges, you sometimes do
-
not realize that your neighbor, your friend, your work, colleagues, your
-
you know, you're your fellow peers at school. They are may be going
-
through seamless and scenarios, but you have your thing to deal with that you
-
cannot see that you're actually both same sames. That's why I meant by we're
-
actually connected, but we are not quite. Okay, So this is the
-
scenario here, okay, so far. So the danger of that is that
-
you walk past that person okay, that God has put in your life that
-
actually God may want to use you to bless but you missed it because you
-
are so preoccupied with either waiting for your own blessing or the with the problems
-
that you're going through every okay, So doesn't meant to be arrestimple message.
-
Okay. And and and that's the thing. If you look at Gyrris,
-
right, he's like, I don't care about the promise for this girl.
-
I care about the promise for my girl. My girl is dying. I'm
-
desperate. How much pain do you have to go through? You know,
-
I'm a ready desperate. I'm recalling it. Isn't oblivious to what's happening.
-
Didn't I say that she needs help? And sometimes you speak like this,
-
right, you think that your problems are more urgent than someone else's problem.
-
Right, But you see Romans trealth right reminds us that you have to rejoice
-
with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep, and that's what
-
the church is for sometimes as well. Right, we often go through things
-
together. So him come back to this. So thank God or the author
-
here that puts these two together. Now, let me just quickly run to
-
twelve vers the signatance a twelve Okay, I put in some two slides and
-
there's many, many more of these Traelve with these are just some some big
-
ones that are highlighting. Okay, So you know God with numbers, right
-
is he's he loves numbers one and the twelve right signifies a few things.
-
You know, started with traield commandments. It's no coincidence. Okay, Jacob
-
had twelve sons, and then after that came the twelve tribes. Okay,
-
Ishmael, the one that was not part of that plan, also had twelve.
-
Even though his you know, it's secondary, it's still twelve. And
-
this is so so one training to highlight here is that Traelveh is a big
-
number for God, okay, because God started a covenant with his people and
-
his people, uh, you know, the covenant began with Abraham in the
-
context, and then of course we see the multiplication through the tribes and then
-
of course even the high priest, you know, the bad the breastplate had
-
child precious stones, Okay. And this represents the the the chwelve tribes of
-
Israel, of course. And then of course you know New Jerusalem also contains
-
chelve gates, etc. So child is an important number. Now let's also
-
move to the New Testament, because sometimes you may say Old Testament not relevant
-
anymore. Child may maybe your old number, not the current number. Let's
-
do the New Testament. Okay. If you look at Jesus's time, right,
-
even Jesus right, there was some significance to him. He was twelve
-
right when he first made an appearance, you know, right, So sometimes
-
we feel this Chico here is like turning twelve. He may not know it,
-
but Jesus was hanging out with the learned, the eldest at age twelve.
-
Okay, So chield is a signament number. Okay. They marveled at
-
this upper not him upper primary kid name Jesus because they were talking the lingo,
-
so much power, so much wisdom when he hung out. So twelve
-
is a big number. Okay. Now of course you can see it over
-
there. There's other examples, all the anointing, the different ones Aaron's and
-
his four sons, Aaron's Aaron and his four sons, Saul, David,
-
Solomon, Absalom, etc. You can look all the references I've given you.
-
You can look it up later. But all this signifies the anointing that
-
God has on these people. And these were just twelve. So what does
-
twelve signify? Twelve signifies a few things. The power and the authority of
-
God. That's what the magic number twelve is. And that's why I said,
-
I don't think there's a coincidence that the lady went to twelve years and
-
the girl was twelve years old at the time, because we're trying to prove
-
something here that it talks about the significance of authority and power of God or
-
simply plain simple English. We're trying to say that God rules, because if
-
you understand authority of God, Heaven rules. God rules the same thing,
-
right, This is the power and authority. Okay, Okay, So what
-
are we saying here. We are saying here that if you understand this,
-
Jesus couldn't care too much about the sickness the disease, that the promise is
-
going true. Okay, because the thing that you're going through an ultimate,
-
ultimate thing that you're facing. Right, it's actually not under your jurisdiction,
-
but actually under God's jurisdiction because it's his power and his authority that could actually
-
enable that miracle to happen. Okay, So he's basically not so conjungua essentially
-
because he understands who the authority is. Okay. Now, if you asked
-
me, right child, why twelve? I mean Jesus even disciples for twelve.
-
If I were Jesus, I'll probably stopped at eleven because the one joker
-
is going to go a wall anyway. But you know he still gave power
-
and authority to the twelve even though one is joker. Okay, but that's
-
the number of authorities. From trying to highlight here, Okay, now,
-
so I have a slide up there. Twelve signifies God's power and authority,
-
and it's also a perfect number for a governance kind of a structure. And
-
that's why you see a lot of the things in the Bible is che che
-
chelf child, disciples, chield, tribes, chelf chelf twelve Okay, because
-
that is a significant signifies God's power and authority. Okay, So the reminder,
-
here is really this number twelve is that we have fa when that nothing
-
that we are facing, right, it's actually under our authority, but it's
-
under God's authority and his power okay or simplified heaven rules. Okay. Now
-
why is this important? Because sometimes we go with this currency of faith,
-
but without the currency of understanding the authority, and somebody, you wonder,
-
how come your faith couldn't activate, couldn't see that miracle happens, couldn't see
-
that break to happen, because you're just going based on faith and we know
-
faith, right, it doesn't take a lot faith of a master seat,
-
lost little bit is enough. Why is the faith not sufficient? It's not
-
because of the quantity or the quantum, but rather it doesn't come with the
-
recognition of or the awareness of the authority that's supposed to come with that faith.
-
It's probably trying to say here, Okay, okay, So it's the
-
awareness of God's authority in your life that will determine how much you receive that
-
miracle in your life. Okay, big statement. Let me just say it
-
one more time. It's your awareness of God's authority that will often determine how
-
much you see from him. Okay, yep, okay, good now.
-
See, sometimes we read this passage just as a very quick glance, right.
-
We often reduce it to just all this is a passage of faith,
-
like what I said earlier, right said the old daughter, your faith has
-
healed you the end. I used to end my stories with these two kids
-
at this, at the end. End. But it's not that that's only
-
just the beginning. Faith is only one portion of it, right, It's
-
not just faith. Like I said, I'm not saying that faith is not
-
important. We said, we know this, we need faith. Faith is
-
also a currency, as we always say, substance of things that are hope
-
for right. It is evidence of things that are not seen right, and
-
without faith it's impossible to please God. We all know all that. But
-
faith right is almost akin or likened to, like, uh, like an
-
anchor. You know, anchors are right, the thing that sort make sure
-
that boats don't go away. Ships even the size of titans don't go away.
-
But imagine this, If you have faith, like an anchor, you
-
chuck it down just like that all happened. The boat is too jealan and
-
know if you didn't tether it or tie it or put a chain, put
-
a link to it. And what's that linked I'm talking about that link is
-
actually understanding or the awareness of the authority of God that accompanies that faith.
-
Otherwise it's just faith gone. Some cannot find it anymore, even worse right,
-
and then nothing nothing, and you begin to wonder why why it's not
-
so I use that term once light before, sorry, connect one slight before.
-
Please link your faith with His authority because you take you basically take right
-
your faith right and level up that faith when you actually introduced or recognizes or
-
have the awareness of His authority that goes with that faith. Okay, So
-
you need to take that, connect that faith with the authority and you'll take
-
it to another level. Okay. And if not becomes a problem, and
-
sometimes we have this thing, oh you know, is things not happening?
-
You know, I have faith video wide. You know the Bible says what
-
faith as small as a message is all we need. Yeah, faith is
-
that small as all you need. But the caveat is that you need to
-
have belief as well. You need to know, not just believe, but
-
know that it the authority has to come from God. Like I said,
-
it's never about the size of the faith. It's never about the size.
-
It is the object of your faith that is important. And once you have
-
this, like I said, your whole thing, the wholestitution goes to that
-
level. Okay, And you may ask, you know, where's the back
-
king of this kind of understanding. Now you look at the faith lesson that
-
we learned from Jesus on the boat. That story. I think we all
-
know that story. Right. Everybody was panicking, big storm. What was
-
our friend doing? Jesus sleeping, snoring or whatever. You know, he's
-
very chill, but he's the others were panicking, right, Why are they
-
panicking? They were screaming, Oh, Jesus, you gotta wake up.
-
You know, this whole thing is we're gonna die. Often we're like that
-
read drama, right, We're gonna die. What do you say, Oh,
-
you have little faith? Right? But why do you think Jesus was
-
saying those things? Because he understood where the authority lies. And then he
-
went out and then he of course he did the mumbo jumbo. Okay,
-
peace stopped waves, chill, I need to go back to sleep. No,
-
But if you if you think about this, right, if you actually
-
knew a reorganized authority beforehand, right, And you were one of the people
-
that on the boat, right, you're probably like, okay, lot,
-
Jesus chilled their eyes, I sleep soundly. And that's exactly that, right.
-
Sometimes the fatherly figure that you may have, an earthly father, you
-
know that your dad is there, He's in control. Right, things are
-
all right? You have that kind of sense. It's really because why you
-
know, the authority is there. And this is exactly what I'm talking about.
-
Okay, So it's not just about the faith, it's the awareness of
-
the authority. Now back to this. Okay, so remember who has the
-
finals say? Is the main thing here? It ain't over till the not
-
not the factily these things, but till Jesus sings right. No, no,
-
no, I've probably butchered it. But you get yet the idea.
-
Only he has authority to say it is over right, no matter what's going
-
on. Please connect your faith to his authority. Now back to Gyrus versus
-
the woman. I believe the main thing here is actually the difference of awareness
-
of the authority, not so much the faith, but that awareness of the
-
authority. Okay, so let me just go a bit deeper on this,
-
so we know that this. You know, Gyrus came out, he heard
-
the house call from Jesus bringing him back, you know, and don't forget
-
you know this Gyrus not some layman. He's he's actually, uh, you
-
know, he worked in a synagogue. Basically, he's a pastor. H
-
he knows his stuff. He's uh an approach Jesus like, how any pastor
-
would you know, sir, I mean being that roller, sir, can
-
you come? You know mine probably be my desperate wise love, but you
-
know, come, my girl is dying. I need help. He probably
-
even did all the worship, probably at home, setting a worship going,
-
and all that kind of things, praying done, all that prayer and all
-
that as well, you know, and and and and Jesus probably said,
-
okay, cool, I'll come. I'll come. You know, I can
-
see that you need help. And here is another scenario in the same timeline
-
where this lady has a whole another level of awareness because she's even more desperate.
-
Like we said, right just to touch, I got no time for
-
him to come to my house. You know, this is what the lady
-
thinks. You know, I'm going out to him. The equivalent probably be
-
this guy Gyrus taking the daughter out to Jesus for Jesus to heal. It's
-
a different kind of level. She's actually literally going out, so so why
-
because she's a different awareness of the authority. So what I'm trying to say
-
here is that this next slider building faith really relates to the recognition part of
-
the ultimate authority. See some of the things that we sometimes fail to see.
-
Right, If you don't believe in somebody's ultimate authority, right, sometimes
-
you also doubt the validity of the words in there. Okay, because God
-
they say I am the word, right, But if you don't understand authority,
-
or you doubt their authority, in other words, you also doubt those
-
words or his words. Okay. Have you ever been in a scenario where
-
you know, let's say, for example, in a restaurant, something you
-
ordered didn't come according to what you ordered, and then you try to talk
-
to somebody and then the situation situation doesn't get resolved, right, and then
-
what do you normally do? Talk to the boss? Right? Can I
-
speak to your manager or can I speak to your supervisor, etc? Why
-
do you do that? Why do we do that? Have you ever wondered
-
because the person may not be able to make that decision to either remove,
-
change or whatever, you know, replace or refund. It's the the one
-
of birth, the supervisor, which has the authority to do something about it.
-
Okay, So unless you're all a very Christian lie you know, don't
-
don't know, call and supervisor. Maybe I'm the only one that does that.
-
La, I mean me and Jess you know you guys, jes Lah,
-
she she knows me. I cannot. I cannot take these tide things
-
that are usually to like, Okay, let's let's get this done. Customer
-
service is one of the things that I really really, you know, I
-
put it up with Della. It's very important to me, so I need
-
to get it right. So I usually say, can I just talk to
-
of course, very nicely, can I speak to your Yeah, just to
-
solve it. Now, let me tell you a story. Um um,
-
when we were traveling to China before the pandemic, I think Jess was there
-
for work. I just tagged along she was. They were doing a wreckie
-
for a particular I think event, right, and then we had a few
-
days sort of worked out where we're staying, and there was I think two
-
or three days of gap where we were going to look for a place to
-
stay up. And then we went to somebody or rather a hotel, to
-
look for a place to stay. And then somebody who is in a place
-
of authority actually realized that Okay, they're looking for a place to wreckie,
-
so they actually gave her. I just taked along a complimentary executive suite just
-
to stay there free of charge. Okay, So we got from that level
-
of living on the streets to leaving on their executive suite. Okay. What
-
I'm trying to say is that the supervisor or the manager, or even the
-
lady her name is Jessica, I remember, yeah, yeah, Chinese lady,
-
China. Yeah. But it's only that somebody they can do that,
-
not the guy at the behind the desk. Hope you Understan I'm trying to
-
say here, right, So often we need to go to the right people.
-
Okay, Now what I mean by I talk to a supervisor who is
-
our supervisor? Who is the real boss here in our situation, when you
-
can't sleep at night, when you're going through problems at work, when you're
-
going through problems with whatever whatever you're going through, who do you talk to
-
do you talk to your earthly boss, or do you recognize that your actual
-
supervisor is actually Jesus God. He's probably I'm trying to say here, I
-
need to speak to the Alpha and Omega. I demand to speak to him.
-
He's want way to put it right. I need to speak to the
-
one that started at all, the beginning, the end, right God of
-
Heaven. And because if you speak to the right people, you get the
-
right results. Okay, I digress a lot, but you get the idea.
-
You need to speak to the one who is in authority because he's got
-
the authority to fix that problem. And like I said, your faith,
-
even if it's a problem, it goes up to another level when you bring
-
the right person in, when the supervisor comes in, you've got to have
-
an awareness of the authority. Is probably why I'm trying to sit here.
-
The woman you know, for twelve years, she's been going to the wrong
-
people. You think about it, going to maybe mid level people, supervisors.
-
She should have gone up to upper management, and she did go up
-
to upper management. Of the trophies, going to Jesus like that is you
-
don't get it, or if you don't get it, maybe if Tuesday you
-
get it laughter the holiday, but it's okay. But yeah, I'm going
-
to land here. Let me get in my thoughts. She was healed immediately
-
right when she went to the right person. But in that same story,
-
right, Gyrus was a bit upset. If you think about it, right,
-
obviously you'll get upset. Right. It's like, hey, I'm also
-
looking for a miracle. How come she cut line? I thought a number
-
first, and somehow she stepped in and she got that miracle first. I
-
mean, we look at it and we can sort of judge Gyrus's behavior,
-
but oftentimes, right when we see a miracle happened with somebody else, we
-
often tend to say, ye, also looking for a miracle. It's that
-
promotion that somebody else has got first and you didn't. God, why am
-
I not looking for that as well? Right? And and this is exactly
-
what this thing is trying to, you know, this interruption that we actually
-
have. Sometimes you have to understand it's an invitation for a miracle to happen.
-
And sometimes we view the interruptions as not good because it doesn't work to
-
our favor. But if you must understand God's character here, he must understand
-
God's God is good, right and and and whatever it is, you must
-
continue to trust him, even though it may not be your miracle to come.
-
Now back to this story, just very quickly. You know, um
-
joys very excited, Jess, come to the house. You know my daughter's
-
dying. Blah blah blah blah blah. You know he's probably like running around.
-
Okay, kicker, come come, come, going to the crowd.
-
No, come come here? Uh? But did go? I lost him?
-
Because why there's a crowd them even back Jesus, what happened? I
-
thought you were following me, didn't I tell you? I was desperately right?
-
And then what happens the other side is that Jesus is there chilling with
-
this girl. And then who touched me? Who touched me? You must
-
understand our jaris. We're looking at it like what nonsense is this? My
-
girl is dying and you can afford to ask who touched you? What they
-
expect. It's like, you know, asking ten questions to get the right
-
answer. What was happening? And my's my stitution not you know, severe,
-
not urgent enough for you to give me attention? Are you serious?
-
Lord? Are you serious? And then what did what did God say uh?
-
And then eventually you know, the girl came out and then actually it's
-
me. It's me. Took a while probably, and then what what happens
-
after that you read the scripture? They will say that she also told her
-
story. I mean, I don't be discriminating women low, but you know
-
normally when girls tell stories a bit longer stretched right. But but when trying
-
to say right, if you need to be quick, this guy's desperate,
-
you all get somebody else to just be a spokesperson, just to tell the
-
story about she actually told a story, so it probably took a little longer.
-
So he's probably like, ah, what is this? What is this?
-
Am I not important? It's my girl not important? Like I said,
-
it's very frustrating sometimes to see others get their miracle first, you know,
-
if you are looking for to get a child and you can't. Sometimes
-
it's very hard to celebrate moments that people put on social media about oh,
-
you're don't going to her child, third or fourth child. God, I'm
-
looking for the miracle as well. How come it's not happening to me?
-
Or if you see somebody else walk down the aisle, hey, I'm also
-
looking at when's my turn. But trust God. These miracles that you are
-
exposed to, the miracles that are given to those that are around it is
-
supposed to encourage you and not discourage you. You just have to see it
-
with a different perspective, right, because it's actually telling you. If God
-
can do it for those people, yours is coming, he can do it
-
for you too. It might not be the same, slightly different, but
-
know that He has the power and authority to make sure that miracle comes to
-
you. So all we do is just believe. Like what this says,
-
let me see the story, right, I'll come back to this last the
-
last verse that he walks into the house in the funeral, there is at
-
the funerality. Why are you all crying? The girl is not that,
-
she's just asleep. It's just chill. Okay. Now you may think it's
-
really funny, but he said, you guys, I had to remove you.
-
Shoot go away what they do, go away? Remove them, remove
-
them. So what are you to remove in your environment? What are the
-
things that need to not taking a physical people at all? The one you
-
have to you have to love, but you know you have to remove things
-
like fear in your life. Maybe that's hindering for you from your miracle.
-
Again, faith is there that your miracle would happen, But maybe fear is
-
preventing your or doubt, or maybe you've been waiting for so long. Patience
-
is the one that you need to say, Hey, patience, impatience,
-
rather shoot go away, go away, depression go away all right, anxiety
-
go away, or even disappointments hurts in the past. Please, you do
-
not belong here. You are causing this environment to be a non perfect environment
-
from my miracle to happen. We hope you've been blessed by this message.
