Do Not Be Afraid - Or Doubt but Only Believe | Elder Wong Kien Yiak

You're listening to a message to go from a church. We hope this message

will light up your day. This morning. I want to share with us

something that the Lords been ministering to me. It's something It's called do not

be afraid or do not doubt, but only believe. We come to church

for the longest of time, and I do believe after a while we can

The world is that we can grow tired. I'm so not used to this

huge poop in front of me, but you know we can grow tired.

The world is that we can go still. We can grow. Like you

know, like just coming to church, I'm just doing a religious duty.

I am just giving to the offering. And you know after Sunday, after

church, after lunch, the best thing to do after church is to sleep

because you know, after a food days, it's something there's something about Sunday's

uh sleep wretch, which really always look forward to. And there has to

be more than that is coming to church or going to sell group of homes.

In our faith, in our journey, we must the worst experience the

fitfulness of God in our life. You and I need to experience God's faithfulness,

God's goodness, not just in our workplaces. But really that's why the

lot pushes us to come to a place whereby either we really believe in Him

or we don't. For example, starting a church, right, it's now

easy, and sometimes the desire for people is to start the church. But

really the process of starting a church is not just or fantastic to seve another

church, but it's really a step of faith. Really when you go out

there the first day already the first service is always very good one because always

packed, the chess are packed, be very excited. You see the numbers.

Yeah, week two a week tree is the real start of the church

whereby all the glamor or the bullows all died really and or deflated. And

the real tennis really starts everek two. And that's where you need to have

faith. The word is to believe. How many of you know that without

expecting something from a lord, nothing will happen. The Bible says that Jesus

couldn't do anything in his village because people just see Jesus as another person in

his hometown. So if that's our approach and our so excuse it by any

tude as well. And that's why sometimes it's their own journey of life or

own journey of faith. Right, it's still and it's mundane only because we

don't expect anything. So I pray that today you open your heart, just

allow me to share what the Lord has its staff all of us. Okay,

for the one. So it was when Jesus returned that the multitude welcome him,

for they were waiting for him. The question is is that, friends,

the Bible here says that multitude was waiting for Jesus. They welcome him.

But you know that in the Bible that it wasn't the mutuitude that experienced

the supernatural of God. Because many times we come to church, right,

we just come to church and when there is no stretching of our faith,

meaning to say that when there is no expression of our faith, we can't

just go back empty. And that's why when Jesus was arrested, the multitudes

left Christ because there was no personal relationship, there was no journey together with

Christ. So I pray that today that you that you will see that it's

important for us not to be the multitude because they came to a place they

were waiting for Jesus. It was for you want and behold that came a

man called Gyros. He was the ruler of Synaga. He fell down at

Jesus begging him to come to his house. Friends. Either today we can

be the multitudes, or we can be like Gyrus. I truly believe all

of us here have a personal challenge your own life one right. It could

be your studies. You could be finances. It could be a job.

It could be a family. It could be a future. It could be

about retirement. It could be what do I do with the rest of my

life. All verse here are at the crossroad of our lives. We could

be like multitude. Just the words I'm just waiting for Christ. I'm just

waiting here. You welcome him, then that's it. There has to be

more friends. I was talking to someone that they so allow me to share.

When I do share things about different people, I'm not referring to anyone

I don't I don't meet with you personally, all right, But I

was talking to somebody and you know, and you know there are singing guys

and single girls in our church, right, Well, the merry one,

the one to say yes, or the single I just remaining silent. Come

on, you have to emit where you allah there, then you can find

all. Right. So I was talking to someone that did and say,

we were concert about this brother, and they say that, yellah, he

likes a particular person, but he's not making a move. How are you

right? You okay say a yeah, right right? It's like worse forty

one. The multitudes are waiting for Jesus to come, and when Jesus came,

there was no engagement. See why I'm mean, it's like this guy

that there are a lot he likes a particular person, and every one of

the streats who have courage go us out us. His reply was, well,

wife knock in the room. That's why I understand. Okay, Restley's wife

man, but there's too many times we are like the multitude as well,

isn't it? I mean we can come to church and then the word is

that. You know what stops us really from engaging Christ? Sometimes it is

pride. Pride pritking there, all right, pritinging that I'm okay. The

way is, I'm all right, I'm all right. I don't have any

problems. I have sufficient in my bank account, I have this, I

have dead But how many of you know Gyris? When Gyros came to Christ,

it was a situation where even the money that Gyris has could not even

heal his daughter. That you and I will come to a place. God,

bring us to a place where by whatever resources we have could not deal

with the issue or the problem, because the problem can only be resolved to

Christ's intervention. So I pray that you allow God to just speak to you.

Because because the Bible says that who in James chapter four draw near to

God? And you draw near to you? Right, who's supposed to draw

to God? First? Come on, who's supposed to draw to God?

First? See? The only way that you and I can draw near to

God is when we humble ourselves say God, I need you, God,

I need you. That's why you and I will only pick up the phone

and call friends for help. It's when we humble saying, Hey, I'm

so sorry I need to trouble you, but I need help. And many

times our journey. Right, Why we don't call the God because there's this

war and this the world is the hardness of heart. It's all right,

God, I can manage it. But Gyvers knew he came to a place

and if all of his life say God, I need you. The first

thing that Gyvers deep and he saw Jesus was he went on his knees,

a sign of humility, of desperate. See. The only way that you

and I can believe is coming in a place of desperation. God, I

need you. Singing songs do it again is good, but it's out from

the desperation of our heart. That's where we need God to intervene in our

life. Friends, when I was just ministring to our brother us last week

and he was just in tears because, say, elder, I mean my

fifties, fifties, I just didn't know what to do with the rest of

my life. Money is not issue. Finances is not issue. Right,

Everything's all taken care of. But money doesn't give purpose to an individual.

Only God give purpose an individual because all of us here are created by God.

So I pree that you open your heart because Gyrous, the Bible says,

felt that Jesusit begging to her for him to come, speaks about humility

in gyrous life. So you and I this morning have to just dig.

People, what is really stopping earth from asking God? God, I need

you, God, I need you? Because if it's pride, friends,

you know how many times pride stops us from experiencing more of God. Pride

stops us from experiencing more of God. That's why, friends, pray is

so important in our life. A lot of people say giving is important,

is true, but giving is only one aspect. But prayer, friends,

it's the other aspect whereby you humble yourselves, say God and you, and

God is true to his word. When we draw near to God, God,

we draw near to Earth. It goes on friends, verse for you

two. For he had only one daughter, twelve years of age, and

she was dying by he as he ran out, the multitude thronged him.

The question it works for you too, is that why are we falling?

Christ? Why you and I are falling Christ? Are we spectators? You

going? You know what I mean? Just because Jesus get performing. Some

of us are very intrigued by America's if you just following me because you want

to see, right, why do we follow Christ in our life, in

our hearts? Why? Why what's our desire really? Friends, to be

in church? So cheamer a Sunday morning? Right? Why are we?

Why are we in church? Why? Why are we following Christ? Because

if we are just spectators watching, we won't have a brickshue. Spectators don't

expect anything. We just want to watch with you, my friends. But

when you are participator, when you are in it, when you're in the

fire, friends, you want God to come true for your life. And

many times, friends, God wants to convert us from a spectator to participate

to friends. He wants to bring us to this place that don't be just

the multitude just following Christ without experiencing anything, without the words, that without

engaging God. And that's why sometimes you don't have a brickshue because okay,

God, you want to do you do it? Okay, God, if

you want this, it cannot be. Friends, we can't relive our life

by design. We need to say that God, I truly believe in your

word. If this is what you promise the gyrus, you promise me as

well, then you come to my household, you save my household. The

Bible is safe. If one person in the household is safe, the whole

household will be safe. First, you got to believe that if you are

saved, your whole household will be safe. But many times I will Oh,

God, okay, I'm saved. But no, my parents are so

hard it cannot be Friends, the God's words only true at this certain situation.

Right, it goes on, friends, jump me be right now to

in our journey, why do we give up on God's because we think that

God we expect God to move in a patticular manner, but didn't come true,

and the situation now was dead. How many of you don't If you

start with the Lord, you shall end with the Lord. That is the

idea that you start with God, and we've got right. But I've seen

a lot of people start with the Lord and they don't God. Especially in

the era of relationship, when two in single individual come together, say oh,

we pray about it. God review her name to me, and God

review his name to me, and we just prayer. God's peace was with

us. And that's why we know that this relationship is supposed to start.

That's how we always starts our friends. I've been enough counseling. Really,

that's how January starts. But when it starts in the argument, when it

starts people having the word, it's a deeper conversation. When things get hit

it up and when words get sex changed all around the break up. Now

see what happened? Cannot stay each other anymore? Did you pray about it?

No, no need to pray and listen because you know she drives me

Because at this very moment, friends, Gyrus has an option either to

continue believing in God. God, you can come true, or God,

If you lose someone you love, friends and love emotions you go to.

You're processing through so many things right and the very moment, it's easy

to put the blame on everything else. If only, if only I've done

this, if only I've can the words can turn things earlier. If I

wouldn't approach God earlier, my daughter will be alive. Because the moment you

hear that your love one passed away, friends, you go like you're going

to an emotion. If you understand trying to say you're going to an emotion.

But here's the thing. Sometimes we expect God to intervene much earlier,

so we do have to go to the emotion. How may I have this

false understand they God saved me from going to what it means of losing someone.

But God allows us to go through that journey because he wants to reveal

friends, what's really in our hearts. He says, here the next worst

all right, Verse fifty. But but Jesus heard it. When Jesus heard

it, he said, do not be afraid God, Friends, I truly

believe he's really after our hearts. Because you know, I could just imagine,

right, why didn't Jesus stop the servants from telling Giro's Aughtor's dad because

oh he has Jesus is with me. Right, I'm going there, okay,

my daughter will be here, my daughter will on the on the way

here is Jesus say that do not be afraid, but only believe your heart

just going Oh, it's not a nice feeling, friends, And sometimes you

want God to interview that. It's not going up the invert the bellco this

It's because he wants us to allow us, friends, to know what's

really in our hearts. It says here friends, when Jesus heard it,

afraid, friends. God's heart is always about ministring to people, do not

be afraid. And many times, friends, what we cannot control, we

are afraid of. That's why we have always is desiged to be in control

of things, because when you're in control of things, friends, it brings

a lot of peace and stability, calmness in your heart. Those of those

those of you who are married, you understand this, right, when you

can control your wife's timing? Enough it my wife's wait. So, my

wife loves to eat, right, So every time I always my wife loves

to eat, and I shd this everywhere so and uh she has this and

this is the word is bottomless peat, I will say, Really, she

exercises, right, she worked out. The reason why she work out is

because she wants to eat, all right, So the most I always joke

with her, right, so about her to eat buffet one day? Right,

she can really eat? Right, I finish, Okay, let me

But here's the thing, friends, I truly believe God says, do not

be afraid, because many times things that we cannot control, we are afraid.

We are really like, what's what's tomorrow, isn't it? Some of

us I know that we don't like to see doctors because you're afraid of the

results. Let's bring let's bringing closer. Some of your should be resiting the

dentist ready by now, the dentists. The only reason why you don't go

and see that is because you're afraid of the needer of the sound right,

right, you're afraid? You are afraid? Why? Friends? Is you

know it's good for us, but we are afraid, and God wants to

minister to us. Friends, Do not be afraid. He don't it,

you don't. There's so many things that you can tell Gyrous, right,

tell your servant to keep quiet. He's ministry to Gyrus and some of us

here. God wants to minister to our hearts if you allow him to,

really, if you allow him to just go in deeper? What are we

What are you're afraid of? And here's the thing that Jesus one,

minister, do not be afraid? Only belief That statement, friend is so

loaded because in our personal journey with the Lord. We have to believe.

When you come to church, you have to believe tomorrow. It's just so

chaotic, friends, but you have to believe that this is the day the

Law has made. We shall rejoice, I mean gliding it. See,

we have to approach our daily life by believing instead of doubting. It can

be you the words that you go through life. If you experience a cough

or sickness in your life whereby you cannot just stand and say, God,

I choose to believe. Just because Giver's daughter is that it doesn't mean that

we stop believing. And sometimes in our lives that when the natural is dead

doesn't mean that supernaturalist it's over. God can turn things around. Right.

Allow me just to bring you to some points, okay, number worse that

we are called to believe it not doubt. It's easy to doubt, meaning

to say that when we in a place of doubt, is easy to complain.

God's your thought. God, you brought me here. Term with me

the sea, friends, the Bible says, the we the winds and the

waves begin to begin become a bit more aggressive. This is what I could

imagine happening the boat. They were a bunch of discipers. The first thing

they discipers praying the stop blaming each other? Very short? Who asks us

to roll out so far? You? Is it? I truly believe,

friends, they were arguing at them in the middle of the boat there because

this is what normally happens when things go country to what were expected to turn.

Why do we think this step will favor to you? Really? Do

follow Christ? He's setting this up to die? Why must he roll so

far away? Can't we just roll by the same? Why can't we walk?

Who asked to stick the boat? But friends, why were they in

the middle of the sea Jesus? Why did they experience a win? And

the way Jesus? And many times our live friends? It cannot be that

God will bring you to a place for you to die. It cannot be

that, Bob, but you where you're praying for a job, God give

you a job half way to show that first three weeks it's so tough.

Lord, my boss is so crazy and can look for another job. It

can't be that God by you the place or you too for your faith to

dry up. It can't be the God brought you this place where by you're

sol squeezed that you don't have enough time. I was speaking to one year

cannot see beyond that. It cannot be God brought you to your place for

you to die so tough love? Why did we see years to pass,

say that he cares for us. Sometimes we have to receive one. That's

why I know there are guys in our church very tough on the outside,

right, very tough on the outside. All right, you want to rag

physical torment and to physical challenges. But the moment we are asked individual to

We won't do anything physical. But just at the chair, there were

We don't even recognize it. And this is what the Lord wants to

minister to earth this morning, he said, and review to the ends of

the world that what can separate you from the love of God? Friends?

Can the waves of the wain separate Can your tough boss separate you from God's

love? Can the lack of no degree in your life? Maybe someone will

here are slightly a bit, a bit, a bit older, and sometimes

we don't have the word this is that. I was saying someone that they

believers, that you cannot be the words you can the only reason why you

have life. You're exestly because you found purpose in God, that he's a

giver of life. It can be that just because we went to a rough

patch to go like I'm so deflated, can inflict you again, friends,

Is what Jesus said to the people, be of good cheer. It is

I do not be afraid. Again, be of good cheer. It is

I do not be afraid. His reminding is again, friends, in the

midst of the storm, be of good cheer. It is I. Because

the usual is I because where you are right now is because I let you

here. Where you are right now, I let you. God never made

the mistake. You are bothered. But in a very challenging family situation,

it is I do not be afraid. It is I do not be afraid.

You're in the tough company and you felt God I let you there in

the first place. It is I do not be afraid. And many times

are alive. We are afraid because it cannot be because a good God will

never allow me to experience a win and the wave. But God allows to

go through because he wants to shake our heart. Because without the shaking there

will there will be no humility. You understand. Without the shaking, without

the moment of going through that there will be no humility. Friends, God

will always bring us to a place whereby we can not control the winds and

the waves. Yes, we can control the boat. We can control how

we roll, but you cannot control the winds and the wave even as they're

going to close right now, Friends, I just want to encourage you.

There's some things in life that's beyond your control, really beyond your control.

The winds. You've got money, how are you where you're going to chrow

money to the us to control the winds and the waves. Just you can't

be chewing at wins. I give you fifty thousand. Be still. You

can't be grabbed your bosses, they say, God, boss, I give

it that thousand. Okay, don't give me work. This is it's those

such things like your boss. I think the money actually give you work?

Okay. Then it can be friends, it can be that you use your

nature to control the supernatural about God would always be at a place whereby where

would you have finances? But some of us have health issues. So I

do have health issues. But we have finances, finances and help. It's

okay, but we do not know how to do with our life. You

know what I mean? There will be a moment whereby that thinks beyond our

control. That's why we need Jesus in our life. That's why we need

God and life because God will come in to us. Do not be afraid.

It is I so I want to encourage all of us here. Friends,

God was a minister to us. He says, do not doubt,

but only believe. Friends only got true with one point on the of my

message. I just truly believe that this is sufficient. Do not doubt,

but only belief. Do not doubt, but only believe. You know,

when you believe, our friends begin to expect. When you believe, you

begin to expect. Some of us here have very good friends, very good

friends, because you believe. On your birthday, Sorry you use the word

birthday, I'm not expecting you okay, but you believe. But you believe

on your birthday. Are you expect your good friends to at least remember your

birthday? On everybody the multitudes is okay because you're good friends. Because you

believe them, they will at least send you a text, Hey, happy

birthday. For the moment you don't receive your text, you could disappointed because

givers believe Jesus can heal what will happened? Yeah? My daughter,

my daughter, there's a chance she may be well. There's a chance that

she may be well. That comes to the woman with the issue of blood

this type of may we believe that there was a fifty to fifty that you

might be disappointed. That's why you just say that be of good cheer.

They decided to not be afraid. How can we overcome the things in our

life? Do not doubt, but only believe, don't It doesn't mean that

that God has abandonedness. It doesn't mean that just because we made a couple

of wrong choices investment that we lost everything. Then it can be that He

abandoned us. I know a particular brother who was actually very well to do

it, and I was hearing this possible sharing me about his testimony. He

said, you know, can you help this guy in my church well to

do but ninety nineties something, he lost everything everything men of wealth. Two

weeks later was selling rubber band and rough string, petty traders everything. That's

why where we counsel couples in our church. When I me and my wife,

bad choices. What happened? If you lose everything we used to haunt,

We only remember we prayed for reaching one for poor. The wedding weals in
