  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day. I embarked on a series called Calling, and

  3. this is very important. I think we need to be refreshed with this message

  4. maybe once a year, that life really, at the end of the day

  5. is measured by our calling, meaning to say that when you appear before God

  6. at the end of it all, God is going to ask us about what

  7. we did without calling. We are called to be Christians, Praise the Lord.

  8. That's why we're here, called to be children of God. What and

  9. how have you lived that? Some of us are married, We're called to

  10. be husbands wives? How have we lived that? Some of us have children,

  11. We're called to be dead and moms. How have we become dead and

  12. moms to our children? So ours are blessed? To be bosses? How

  13. good have we been bosses? To our staff and to the people that God

  14. has brought into our care? Some of us have called to be leaders?

  15. How well have we led? Okay, I'm gonna give you now the five

  16. needs of calling. Okay, let me turn you to efficients for one to

  17. three, for us Efficians for one to three. Let me read the word

  18. of God, I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord beseech you to walk

  19. worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all loneliness and gentleness,

  20. with long suffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep

  21. the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. I love this scripture

  22. is very, very strong. You don't usually see anyone using those words prisoner

  23. of the Lord. What do you think? A prisoner is one who doesn't

  24. really have his will. His will sort of has to be put aside.

  25. He's in chains, he's definitely behind bars. His freedom is limited. But

  26. even though it's a lot of negative gives, Paul proudly called himself a prisoner

  27. of the Lord. And I want you to understand that if you understand the

  28. power of calling, you will understand that calling actually is supposed to imprison us

  29. to the will of God. And I know some of you don't like that,

  30. you don't like to be a prisoner, But it's very very important to

  31. understand the power of being a prisoner of Christ and to be in chains to

  32. the Lord and his will, so that we don't find ourselves doing what we

  33. want to do and what we will to do for our own selfish ambition.

  34. But they we are so tied in and tied up with God that we do

  35. his will. So I want to bring you through five needs for calling to

  36. thrive. Five needs that you must have that you must consider for calling to

  37. thrive in your life. Number One, calling needs concentration. Calling needs concentration.

  38. You know, we are very destructed people. There was an old writer

  39. who wrote something and I saw it, and it's a quote, and I

  40. think he made so much sense. He said, the goal of the devil

  41. is to create so much noise on the earth that you will find it hard

  42. to hear the voice of God. Don't you love that? It's so true.

  43. He doesn't even have to get you to not believe God. Say that

  44. Jesus didn't come to die on the cross. He doesn't because you know a

  45. lot of these things that the devil does or says, we won't believe it

  46. anyway. But it's not about those big ticket things. Jesus is not Lord.

  47. He didn't die on the cross. Those are big tickets. He just

  48. needs to create so much noise, so much noise, so much you go

  49. into the news, so much noise. Haven't finished Russian and Ukraine. Now,

  50. God Israel and Hamas and you know that it would end so the notice,

  51. So the devil send his demons. Demons, don't need to do anything

  52. else. Don't don't even spoil that. The theology because some of these Christians

  53. are so strong in the theology, so strong in the doctrine, they would

  54. definitely will rebuke you when you say Jesus Christ is not long, they will

  55. rebuke you. And you don't want to be rebuke in Jesus name because you

  56. would definitely be rebuked and you're definitely be cast out. No, just go

  57. around, take some pots and pants, planned blank blad. You just go

  58. around those Christians and you just oh, oh new iPhone. Sorry, I

  59. didn't want to go into that black black line. And you know iPhones every

  60. year changement and if you are the time that race after chase after the kind

  61. of things are flag black line. You know what else? Oh, you

  62. know, elections, new government, four prime ministers in five years, like

  63. black right, COVID ninety right, like Louday Louday. Because the Christians are

  64. not distracted yet distract them. You know, sell, you know the four

  65. letter word sell, sell one sale after the other. Yeah, after you

  66. got sale fifty percent. There you got best buys right, and then you

  67. know you got children? Okay, then one child, client, two children,

  68. three gods on the whole house is now tops TV. Right now you

  69. are games, you know new games PS right now? Five six coming.

  70. No, I'm telling you I can I prophesy? Can I prophesy? Can

  71. I prophesy? PS? Six? And the Christians just create enough noise so

  72. they can't hear God's voice. Distraction, so we miss out calling. When

  73. I went to the shop opposite my house, so many biscuits, especially the

  74. one with the cream on top, the sugar, so many colors. Why

  75. can't they only make one color? Because of children like me who get distracted

  76. so easily. We bite the sugar, throw away the biscuit. Yes,

  77. su go's one side biscuit and another side. So is the noise. The

  78. noise, noise, pollution has been there for a long time. And can

  79. I tell you it's gonna get louder. It's going to get louder. Concentration.

  80. We miss out calling because we're not focused. Next slide says focus as

  81. simple as that. You gotta focus. You know I told you last week

  82. right the man couldn't make up in the morning, and the mother came to

  83. the room, son, get up, you got to miss church, and

  84. the song was so frustrated. He said, give me one reason why I

  85. need to go to church, and the mother said, you're the pastor.

  86. I knew I'll get a laugh from the pastor. Yeah, we forget sometimes,

  87. okay, is that the only reason you have? All? Right?

  88. Proverbs Training nine eighteen. Oh, I don't know how much time I'm going

  89. to spend on this, but this is so important now. I pray God

  90. help me because I don't want to over well, you know, overspend my

  91. time on this. But this is I'm so lately, especially, I'm so

  92. convinced about this scripture. Where there is no revelation or vision, people cast

  93. off restraint or people perish, But happy is he who keeps the law.

  94. I tell you why, I'm passionate because I've been working with young people for

  95. thirty three years and many I've seen, you know, go from zero to

  96. hero by the grace of God. Many were quiet and didn't know where they

  97. were going, maybe even lack of confidence, and then now are standing preaching.

  98. You know, we've seen a lot of that. Of course, we

  99. also have seen some failures. What he said, maybe one or two even

  100. committed suicide or you know, it's life is just so crazy. And yet

  101. we continue to love the young people because God loves them, continue to preach

  102. the gospel reach them. You know, when I was younger, I was

  103. as slim as Olivia. Yes, but because of ministry. All this is

  104. love those day tatics and they won't they won't open their hearts to the first

  105. day that I don't know why, why might it be the seventh day that

  106. they don't need? Is it by reary pastor? And it's only took it

  107. in the morning and we want to go back right, I think it's done

  108. because he's not opening up now. It's like it's like the seventh one that

  109. is the is the one that caused the person to be drunk. I got

  110. to tell you something. I need to tell you something now. And it's

  111. gone on for ten and night all the way to two in the morning,

  112. and now only he starts. All right, So this is opasional, has

  113. it? And so please hear my heart because some of you might get rubbed

  114. the wrong way when I say this, I pray not, you know,

  115. let me explain this to you. Also when I was in school. I

  116. come from a school called Scholar am minodin Baki. A lot of people laugh

  117. about that, you know, actually one of the top schools now, but

  118. my time, it was a gangster school, so people laugh. And I

  119. grew up without parents. My mom left the family when I was one.

  120. My father was on drugs, so he was absent almost all my life.

  121. And because he was on drugs, you know, people thought that Kenneth,

  122. I think you're probably gonna go that whila. I didn't see grades or drugs.

  123. But God's grace was so strong on my life. He gave me a

  124. love of sports and made me at one time the top running in my school.

  125. And because of the joy and filming I felt in winning the four hundred

  126. meters, winning the four by four, winning the four by one uh and

  127. became one of the top runners in my school, I I I wanted to

  128. keep that that, you know, that for filming, that that fulfilling feeling,

  129. and so with that, I decided not to smoke, even though at

  130. six years old, I was lighting the matches for my father's ganja. And

  131. you think to yourself, a six years old lighting up a ganja bottle for

  132. my dad six to nine, about three four years. I did it almost

  133. every day for him, and not to even suck it myself. It's a

  134. sucking emotion, you know, out of a bottle. I'm not teaching you

  135. how the drugs, but you know it's crazy. Sometimes I even had to

  136. cut the papaya stemp for they use that, and then they put a foil

  137. and the end. Again, I'm not teaching you, uh, and then

  138. and then and then sometimes he's with me or I'm with him in the car

  139. and he goes to the back lane and there's this short midget you know,

  140. who comes and sells him, sells him the drugs. And people were calling

  141. him say, how come you can take your son with you in the car.

  142. You know. He says no, no, because if you have a

  143. young kid in the car, the police one thing that you're doing something.

  144. This is what my dad did crazily, you know. I mean I could

  145. have been in trouble right. Yeah. By the way, the midget who

  146. show my dad ganja for about ten years became a Christian. Hallelujah, praise

  147. God because my dad when he became a Christian, when and reached out to

  148. him and gave him real grass the grass of life. Hallelujah, Amen,

  149. praise God. No, the time you smoke, you know, by the

  150. time. And yeah, So I want to say this to you. When

  151. you have vision, it causes you not only to know what to do,

  152. but what not to do. And that's why the Bible says the people cast

  153. off restrained without revelation, without vision. And I've been speaking to some parents

  154. lately, even all the way in Osaka and different places. They tell me,

  155. pastor, uh, how do you actually stop a child from jumping from

  156. one so far to another? He's hyper, he's active. Uh, you

  157. know, I don't believe in stopping my child at home. I want to

  158. give liberty to my children to open the fridge, you know, to take

  159. out I say, yeah, But the fact is that whatever they do in

  160. your house, they also do in other people's house. I said, this

  161. is a problem. And then what happens is that people begin to not like

  162. your children and maybe not even invite them for parties because they keep jumping on

  163. so fast, jumping into the pool when they're when they are not supposed to,

  164. opening the fridge, and taking people's drink because they think that every house

  165. is their house. So I will tell parents and leaders and whoever it is.

  166. This is a scripture that's very powerful. If you have a vision for

  167. your child, you must practice be straight a parent that does not practice restraint

  168. in their child's life. And this way, I know I'm rubbing south you

  169. in the wrong way because I don't know how you bring your children up.

  170. But if you don't practice restrain, you're almost saying her, I have no

  171. vision for my child. You with me. And it's only because I had

  172. a vision to be the top runner in my school that I didn't smoke,

  173. didn't drink, didn't do anything that would jeopardize that vision. And this is

  174. what I'm talking about. When you have a calling in your life, you're

  175. focused, you're concentrated, and so there's a reason why you say I will

  176. do something and I will not do something. And when you say I will

  177. not do something, it's because of vision. Because I see that my son

  178. or my daughter when he or she goes to another person's house, they will

  179. behave they will know what to do, they will know what's right. I

  180. have a vision for my child, and because I have a vision, that's

  181. why I want people say no. This modern day parenthood is to let the

  182. child do anything they want. I want to tell you again, if you

  183. let your child do anything they want, you have no vision for your child.

  184. A parent and a leader that has vision will always exercise restraint. The

  185. Bible happy is he who keeps the law. So it's very important. And

  186. I noticed that even talking about vision, because some of us have vision,

  187. very wordly vision, like, for example, I want my son to be

  188. exactly at me. I want my son or my daughter to be a doctor

  189. or lawyer, you know. And it could be just your selfish vision,

  190. but it must be a revelation from God. So when God gives you a

  191. revelation of this, this is how your children will be. This is how

  192. your son will grow up to be. This is how who your daughter will

  193. be. This is how the church will be. Now I'm going to church.

  194. Now. This is how your family, your your group, your company

  195. will be. And if your company doesn't have vision, you let your stuff

  196. do anything they want. But when you, when your company and when your

  197. family has a vision, you will always exercise restraint. And the beautiful thing

  198. is when you say no to something, you know it's because you want to

  199. achieve that vision. Everybody, Okay, this is very very important. I

  200. had to sit down one with one of my leaders. Once upon a time,

  201. his son was uncontrollable and people were like, already not inviting him to

  202. parties because you know, and then he will. I don't know why my

  203. son don't get invited. So I set him down one day. He's one

  204. of my my key leaders in this church. And it's very hard to talk

  205. to a PARANOI not to say, hey, you know you please get your

  206. act together, but because I love him and I love his son, and

  207. said, brother, can I just tell you? You know? You know?

  208. He actually teared because he also knows that something needs to be done,

  209. but has no will power to do it, no will power to do it.

  210. So I said, brother, you are a church plant coordinator. You

  211. are, you are a good leader, but I want you to begin to

  212. think about this. And then he said, I don't know what to do.

  213. Pass I said, this is. I give you a very simple question.

  214. What you allow at home, you're gonna allow anywhere else. It always

  215. starts at home. And he says, yeah, but I don't always discipline

  216. him. I said, there are ways to discipline, it's not always came.

  217. And so we talked and then he went on to have three children,

  218. and it's quite amazing because all three children are really growing up well today because

  219. he caught the fact that if he has a vision and wants a vision for

  220. the children, he is to exercise restrain and let it begin at home.

  221. Everybody, Okay, so if you have a calling in life, exercise restrain.

  222. You know. The reason why I don't watch something late at night on

  223. Saturday night is because I had to preach on Sunday morning, and a lot

  224. of people tell me I had never mind, we will be We are used

  225. to sleeping for three hours, right, But this is what I thought Passandra,

  226. because Passandra once or twice she sapt very late and she had a message

  227. to pre tomorrow, and I said, there, I want to let you

  228. know that when God gives us the priority and sorry, the privilege to preach

  229. for him, I want you to understand that when you're standing at the pulpit,

  230. people are listening to you, their lives can be changed forever, and

  231. their answers to their questions that they've been asking can be received. I say,

  232. it's a huge responsibility to stand and hold a microphone. I want to

  233. make sure I'm well prepared, are you also hear me. So any footballer,

  234. even though I support Liverpool and a lot of you know it, if

  235. they're playing even a big gamer and it's one o'clock in the morning on Sunday

  236. morning, one o'clock, I will because I take this very seriously and I

  237. want God to see from heaven and look down and go like I think Kenneth

  238. is taking his calling very seriously, and guess what, He's gonna bless me.

  239. And when he blesses me, you are blessed. So my wife said,

  240. yeah, I think we've got to start to have restraint because we have

  241. a vision and a vision of just one life in this room, touched by

  242. the word of God. Because the preacher takes it seriously, exercise restraint.

  243. If you have no vision, do what you want. But if you have

  244. vision, then exercise restraint. I told you I was going to be tempted

  245. to take this longer than I should, but I hope you're blessed. All

  246. right, this is very very important. Do you therefore have a clear and

  247. compelling vision. I put that dot dot dot because for your life, for

  248. your health, for your children, for your church, for your cell group,

  249. for your company, it must be clear and it must be compelling.

  250. You know, this whole thing about trying to lose weight when you know some

  251. of you might have vision. I want to lose weight before the end of

  252. the year. Well guess what is two more months to the end of the

  253. year. I hope you are successful. I've been trying O. So you

  254. know it's very hard to lose weight in Malaysia. I'm telling you right now,

  255. yes, sir, yeah, very hot. But if you have a

  256. vision, then you go to ah. You know, excuse me. I

  257. had a vision in January to lose seven kilograms and now I've gained seven.

  258. What happened? You know? It's usually your vision may not be as clear

  259. or as compelling for losing weight, because if it was really clear, convincing,

  260. compelling, convicting, you will exercise restraint. Oh I know, I'm

  261. preaching to myself, amen, and I will. Number two commitment calling needs

  262. not just concentration, focused by commitments. That's where we come back to ephicions

  263. for three or one to three. I, therefore, or the prisoner of

  264. the Lord, beseech you to what worthy of the calling with which you were

  265. called prisoner of the Lord. I want to revisit this again. You're so

  266. committed right that you are, You're going to have to say to yourself,

  267. you know I can't just do anything I want. I'm committed as a leader

  268. is what I do. This is what I don't do. I'm a prisoner.

  269. I don't do my will. You know, guys, I've been praying

  270. for years. I say, God, you don't have to give me any

  271. dreams. I don't need any dreams. And so how you're go, what

  272. what do you mean? I said, because God has got dreams for me,

  273. and you know, God's dreams are enough for a lifetime. So I

  274. hardly ever have any dreams. I confess to you. People call me a

  275. dreamer, and people call me one who continue his dream. Oh I got

  276. it. Sundly you got football Academenia Sunday or clinic Sunday got Lynette's a suicide

  277. prevention LA. And then suddenly got church. You got the common LA and

  278. you know, never ending. But I'm telling you right now, not one

  279. of them will my own personal dreams. Just I just be honest with you.

  280. I don't have time for personal dreams because God has got too many dreams

  281. for me already, and I just want his dreams. I have only one

  282. lifetime to live the dreams of God. I you also me, So I

  283. don't go around say I dream for a car. No, God, you

  284. want to give me a car. Give me a car, thank you very

  285. much. You want to you know why do you give me such a big

  286. car? Or so? No? So you can do this? Okay,

  287. fine, you know God you want. I only have got time. That's

  288. only one lifetime, and you only live for eighty years. Then it's very

  289. short. I only have time for God's dreams. I tell you this.

  290. I say this to the Lord once a week at least. Lord, help

  291. me to live your dreams, because your dreams are bigger than mine. Amen.

  292. And I tell you what it's just. And every time I tell you

  293. the truth that you live God's dreams, you know what God will do.

  294. He will cause your little dreams here and there to be also fulfilled. It's

  295. true, it's true. But but we go after God's dreams. But too

  296. many people, too many Christians, are so busy with their own dreams that

  297. you have no time for God's dreams. I you also me. I'm talking

  298. about calling so we want to be a prisoner. Lord, put chains on

  299. my hands so I don't go doing whatever I want. Put a bar,

  300. you know, close the door. Lord. I know myself, I'm very

  301. tempted with many things. I want to travel. I want to see the

  302. world. You know, I've traveled almost half the world, but it's never

  303. been on just a holiday, you know, wanting to or this is my

  304. bucket list. Santorini, Italy. No bucket list. I said, Lord,

  305. you take me wherever you want to take me. I tell you what

  306. he's been doing. That, I tell you is even more. Is better

  307. to go to a holiday with a little bit of purpose than jess only a

  308. holiday, because if just on your holiday and you come back from the holiday

  309. neating and then the holiday, but when you go in the Lord, you

  310. will go really fulfilled. You come back from Osaka saying hallelujah. He was

  311. only five days or six days in Osaka. But you know I got to

  312. also eat sushi. I don't worry about it. Don't worry when I when

  313. I travel, I get a little bit, you know, maybe when I

  314. go to Melbourne, I get a little bit of hot chocolate, a little

  315. bit of Australian breakfast. You know what I'm saying. What accident is that,

  316. but I'm a prisoner of the Lord. How many of us can catch

  317. a glimpse of a deeper meaning of what a prisoner of the Lord means?

  318. And maybe even ask the question, am I a prisoner of the Lord?

  319. Am I a prisoner of the Lord? So a prisoner? The next Slight

  320. says is what Who's chained? Are you chained to the Lord? Chain to

  321. his vision, his dreams, his desires? Are you rooted? Are you

  322. saying, not my will but yours be done? Or are you saying,

  323. not your will but mine be done? What is your anthem in life?

  324. A la lujah? I'm excited to serve the Lord? I am, and

  325. I'm talking when I say it is. Some of you might think, oh,

  326. he's very arrogant, but I want to tell you in all humility,

  327. that's been my life for the last at least fifteen years, when I caught

  328. a glimpse that God's dreams are bigger than mine and I only have time for

  329. his dreams. But you know, when you fulfill his dreams, he will

  330. also fulfill yours. So surrender your dreams to the Lord. You know,

  331. talking about routing, A lot of Christians will understand the power of rooting and

  332. being rooted, and therefore we always move in our feet anyway we want to.

  333. But you know, a tree, you don't see it running across the

  334. field. Love, Christians are trees with legs, you know what I'm saying.

  335. But you know why trees grow and trees bear fruit, not because they

  336. are running from one church to another church. They root no matter what happens.

  337. They roote, they say. Finally, even though it's not a perfect

  338. church, I choose to root. I change myself as a prisoner of the

  339. Lord, because the promise in the next scripture says, those who are planted

  340. in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the cause of the Lord of

  341. God, of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age.

  342. Oh, I'm hearing those with a little bit more age to your number and

  343. number to your age saying Amen, praise God, because of course we want

  344. that. You know, when I read around starting churches in the early days,

  345. all young people, campus students, young people from the schools caught the

  346. community is so different. Someone else laughs at the back there, cause the

  347. community is very, very different because we have older youth. And my wife

  348. looked at me and said, hey, what's God try to tell us.

  349. God is trying to tell us to revive the older ones, you know,

  350. because you're not done yet, and God is not done with you fifty five,

  351. sixty five, seventy five, eighty five. If he's done with you,

  352. you are in heaven. No in quota, the communing or the quota

  353. coming sometimes gonna be heaven unless the gem comes. There is a little bit

  354. of hell. But uh, hallelujah. So I look at my wife.

  355. My wife say, how come the young people so few? I said,

  356. no, yeah, just old the young people, all the young people who

  357. have got young hearts and they want to serve the Lord, got children,

  358. got families. But I tell you what this church EXCP quota communing especially,

  359. I'm gonna tell you what, It's going to be very powerful because we've got

  360. older young people who have two young hearts, but the ability to experience,

  361. the wisdom, the capability to do more than a young person. Yes,

  362. and so you're not done. Then to everybody say you're not done, the

  363. best is said to come. Yeah. Hey, So saying hey, I'm

  364. well done, No, lie, your medium really well, I'm cooked.

  365. I'm fried. They shall still bear fruit in old age Hey, please,

  366. people take this promise because in ten more years are you'll be old. I

  367. finally use that word. I just want to be honest. Oh, you

  368. know, politically correct, it is older. Okay, we'll be all.

  369. But look at that. There is a promise for the old. Huh,

  370. the Bible is not politically correct. I can't see. They shall still bear

  371. fruit in older age all means older. But there's a promise for the oil

  372. you bear fruital me, the promise of Sarah. Come upon you, cay.

  373. I magine your grandmother ninety years old, pregnant. I'm a massie.

  374. Ah back pain a no, no, pregnant. Gain they shall be fresh.

  375. Oh do you know it's very hard to get fresh things these days?

  376. Huh. You go to some market you want fresh, he's already been the

  377. freezer for two months, and tell you as fresh vegetables. Hey, but

  378. this the Bible says you will be fresh. Listen to a neighbor against it.

  379. You will be fresh. I know this is a harder. Yeah,

  380. smell smell smell them, smell them. No, I'm kidding, gidding,

  381. Ah fresh, This is the promise of God. You will be fresh.

  382. So how you could be tired? Today and like, oh, you know,

  383. I need a holiday, right, But the Bible doesn't say a holiday.

  384. It says plant yourself in the House of You know why so many Christians

  385. these days are very tired after holidays because it's not the holidays only, it's

  386. the planting of yourself in the house of God. And these are not the

  387. words of your pastor Kennochine. These are the words of God. But we

  388. refuse to be branded. And ever since Asia came about, I tell you

  389. you're buying air the kids are at all times just because he's wondering it.

  390. You don't even check the days yet by verse, so what right you cannot

  391. go there? And where's one ringular? Right? Someone said before Asia has

  392. got a lot to answer God. Or you're very quiet now, right,

  393. and another airline would have come in, and I wanted to do even more

  394. for us. In course it's enough enough, right, And guess be cool,

  395. be cool? Yeah, instead of checking with a check lender, you

  396. know, we just go, We just go. I'm not sure whether we

  397. are planted in the house of the Lord or where are we planted? And

  398. that's why we're not fresh, and that's why we're not flourishing. And that's

  399. why we don't bear fruit where Okay, while your pastor is preaching today,

  400. all right, holding back nothing but giving you only the best. I want

  401. to bear food with my old age. And the answer is to be planted,

  402. be rooted, be a prisoner of the Lord, can or not?

  403. Otherwise you got to be a prisoner to something else. I'll guarantee you you've

  404. got to be a prisoner to something else, simply as that make yourself a

  405. prisoner of the Lord. Okay, where are we now? Character calling means

  406. character. I therefore the prison of the Lord beseech you, besichd means what

  407. I asked back, with urgency, ferv and see, I beg you to

  408. walk worthy, balancing the scales of the calling with which you will call with

  409. all loneliness and gentleness, with long suffering, bearing with one another in love

  410. and darvoring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.

  411. You know what what worthy means. If you don't know that I explained it

  412. to you there in red, it just means balancing the scales, meaning like

  413. this, meaning like this, Ah, God has already given you a calling.

  414. Let's let's say this is my right, my left hand, and God

  415. has given you this calling. The calling is from God. The calling doesn't

  416. minimize, maximize, The calling doesn't have h one like, for example,

  417. are oh, this is baby calling. Anyone here got a baby calling?

  418. You're reading for your calling to grow up? No, a calling is mature,

  419. completely intact when it came from God. So if the calling is like

  420. this, this high, you are called to be a pastor, you are

  421. called to preach the gospel. The calling is high. And so what the

  422. Word of God is telling us to do is to what worthy of that calling

  423. means? Rise to your calling. The calling will never be a baby calling.

  424. You will be a baby Christian, but the calling will never be So

  425. when you receive from the Lord, it is a full intech calling and you

  426. are to discover your calling. You are to grow into your calling and one

  427. day match up to your calling. And what matches up to your calling is

  428. character. Character, because the Bible says what worthy means. Balancing the scales

  429. means, Ah, if that if this was a scale and that was high,

  430. I've got to make sure that I come up to level with my calling,

  431. and so that the day will come when it's balanced. I've got to

  432. measure up and match up to my calling, which is my character. A

  433. pastor asked me recently because he said, wow, Pastor Kenneth, it seems

  434. that you are commissioned pastors in ex church quite like you know, We've never

  435. seen it before. And this person said, in our church, we have

  436. to go to Bible school. That are a lot of stuff. So I

  437. had to explain to this pasta. I said, a pastor, I want

  438. to explain to you what God told me is to commission leaders in this church

  439. who are ready. And then he said, yeah, but uh uh that

  440. going to Bible school for three four five years is part of being ready.

  441. I say, yes, I agree. I'm not arguing with you, but

  442. can I tell you this? And this was the sentence I want you to

  443. hear, I say, pastor. This was in Pinang, say pastor,

  444. I have seen more leaders for not because of the lack of knowledge of scripture,

  445. because scripture you will continue to learn for the rest of your life.

  446. I've seen them fall because of the lack of character. And so in this

  447. church in acts, I told the pastor in Penang, we look out for

  448. people's character first, because learning the scriptures is a lifetime and if you think

  449. that you can do it in three years of seminary, you must be kidding.

  450. And yet we base our calling based on three years of seminary. And

  451. the real test is character. The real test has always been character. And

  452. you need the character to measure up to your calling because too many people have

  453. fallen, not because of knowledge or lack of it. It's always been because

  454. of integrity. You know, honesty, humility. Are you with me?

  455. Character? So your character or the right form will support your calling for the

  456. long haul. That's what the next slight says, your character or having the

  457. right form will support your calling for the long haul. Number four comforter,

  458. Oh, I don't think I need to preach too hard. Comforter means the

  459. Holy Spirit. And the reason why we fail in our calling is because we

  460. go by our own strength, we go by our own wisdom, We go

  461. to a seminar and we think we know it all. No, it's the

  462. spirit of God that enables us. So I'm going to give you three and

  463. gonna I'm gonna move on Zechariah fur six. So he answered and said to

  464. me, this is the word of the Lord. To zero bebel not by

  465. my nor by power, but by my spirit. Somebody say, amen,

  466. you and I are going to measure up to our calling. Not because we

  467. are so smart or so strong. No, we need the Holy Spirit,

  468. and so I call all of you draw closer to the Holy Spirit. Want

  469. more of him. Speak more in tongues. Really, if you have the

  470. gift of tongues, pray more in tongues. Why are you so quiet?

  471. You know, pray more in tongues. In fact, maybe set yourself a

  472. goal five minutes a day praying tongues. You know, I'm trying to set

  473. ten minutes, you know in my prayer time or raba kashanda because I get

  474. edified. You know, I'm aware of the Holy Spirit and he's He's aware

  475. that I need him. Next next scripture says but the Helper John fourteen twenty

  476. six, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name.

  477. He will teach you all things. Wow, how good is that? Is

  478. there anything you need to know today? How you should live your life?

  479. How you should be a better husband, How should be a better wife,

  480. How should be a better parent? How you should be a better son and

  481. daughter to your parents. He will teach you all things and bring to your

  482. remembrance all things that Jesus said to us. The Helper will do that eye,

  483. okay, And that's the reason why I think a big reason why people

  484. don't measure up to their calling is because they don't have the help of the

  485. Holy Spirit. They don't even depend on him. We want to depend on

  486. the lot more and more on the Holy Spirit. Somebody say, Amen,

  487. find out scripture on Holy Spirit, John sixteen seven. I thought, as

  488. I read this time and time again, that this is such such a telling

  489. verse that Jesus would say, if he doesn't go, the Holy Spirit won't

  490. come, almost telling us that you need him more than you need me,

  491. almost almost saying to you that he can do more for you and I,

  492. individually, as a person walking on the earth, can do for you.

  493. So I must go, And if I don't go, he won't come.

  494. I want to make sure I'm reading the scripture properly. The Helper will not

  495. come now it is it cannot, will not, will not. So Jesus,

  496. who knows that it's better for us to have the Holy Spirit living in

  497. us, because there's so much that he has said to us that can only

  498. be accomplished with the Holy Spirit's help, he had to go. However,

  499. you think that if Jesus remained that he would die. I think the Son

  500. of God can be alive until today. If you want to do two thousand

  501. years later, you know you're still using two thousand years latter. Is more

  502. than two thousand eight, you know, Yeah, I think is twenty thirty

  503. year past or twenty thirty three. I mean that the world is celebrating two

  504. thousand years since Jesus, because he was thirty three when he died, and

  505. so twenty thirty three tree is two thousand years, all right. And if

  506. one year, one year, one thousand years is a day to the Lord,

  507. so a day has gone after a thousand years, two days has gone

  508. by the time we finished two thousand years one day. Two days is the

  509. third day that he rolls up. So a lot of people are very excited

  510. about the entry entry into our third thousand because it's the entry into the third

  511. Day. So there's a quiet right through the years of where is Jesus?

  512. And he keeps telling us that he's coming back soon. So within a very

  513. short time we will enter the third thousand and the third Day. So they

  514. are now calling it the Third Day movement. The resurrection, the coming of

  515. the Lord, and then you see Israel. You see all this right,

  516. and you know it's coming. So people, please, now is not the

  517. time to you know, just dream our own dreams and have our little thing

  518. and you know by all the etiquetes we want so that you know listen,

  519. I know, please go for holidays, Please do whatever you think you need

  520. to for your family. But listen to my heart because I'm telling you about

  521. some things that if you didn't consider, you will not know that it is

  522. so close and so real. Everybody, Okay, So Jesus, I have

  523. to go because the Holy Spirit has to come. And so with that I

  524. will close that point and come to the last point. Choice. And this

  525. is the easiest of all five and yet the hardest. Easiest and yet the

  526. hardest. Why because you can be called, but until you choose the calling,

  527. even if it's from my Angela, even if it came down from Heaven.

  528. Stand in front of you, Oh, Michael, Oh Gabriel, there's

  529. a Gabel here. That's why I looked up to him. And this is

  530. what the Lord has called you to be to do. It's still a choice

  531. yes or no, and God wants us to make a choice. That's why

  532. Matthew twenty two, verse fourteen says, many a call, but few are

  533. chosen. Tell you why. It's not because God chooses us or not.

  534. Many times, if not all the time, we actually make the choice ourselves.

  535. You know, I told this to some of my leaders once upon a

  536. timer, because through the years, I think I've been an employer now for

  537. quite a few years. I started being an employer at twenty five with my

  538. first staff, and now we have thirty three staff in the church office and

  539. another close to sixty staff for our school, et cetera, et cetera,

  540. So anywhere from seventy to eighteen ninety staff. And through the years, you

  541. know, people have come in and gone out. I've recognized this though,

  542. and some of you have employed people. Are you recognizing that people are Yeah,

  543. so let's call when they first started a job, but they're calling.

  544. They were called into the job, they had a awful letter, and then

  545. through the years, don't know what happens. Some will do very well and

  546. some will not, and some will actually be dragging their feet to work.

  547. And then you say, hey, why are you so late that today?

  548. A yeah, I know, woke up later sorry, La, boss,

  549. Sorry, La, I won't do it, Agala, And then late another

  550. time, late another time? Why are you still late? Uh? You

  551. know my football team last night a lost heir, you know. Or my

  552. football team last night, Warler, you know, and I was celebrating with

  553. my friends. Okay, okay, forgive you know. And you know how

  554. hard it is a in normal companies, okay, in church, very hard

  555. now, very hard to release somebody, you know, very hard to even

  556. scold somebody from Monday to Friday. Passa. I don't know. I'm sure

  557. you understand this. A staff to scold the staff and then to preach on

  558. Sunday. Let's start a Jesus loves you very hard, I tell you,

  559. very hard. But the truth is that before you are even given the letter

  560. of warning or finding the letter of releaser, you already chose. Many of

  561. us already chose her to be released. We choose by our action. We

  562. choose by our unwillingness to come early to work. We choose by our attitude.

  563. We choose by us not being able to work with our teammates, not

  564. being able to be a team worker, team player. We choose, and

  565. people are nobody was a sec you. Nobody was there, but you know

  566. every day you're saying, choose me. I want to go. I want

  567. to be late again to worrow. Choose me. Sack me? You know?

  568. Come on, why haven't you sacked me yet? Choose me? Hello?

  569. Can you can you see it? I'm totally uh. You know I

  570. had no regards to your to your authority. Choose me? Come on,

  571. why you haven't given me the first warning letter? Choose me. I have

  572. tomorrow. I'll come late again. Choose me? You understand? Do you

  573. understand? So many God calls everyone, God calls all of us, but

  574. no, we choose every day by our attitude, by our unwillingness, by

  575. our stubbornness. You're saying, choose me, God, I dare you to

  576. choose me, Choose me and take me out of the equation. I don't

  577. think you do it because you are a good God. You are a loving

  578. God, so you'll never sack me. Choose me. So many are called,

  579. but fear are chosen because we have already chosen to not be included,

  580. just by our actions. Father, in the name of Jesus, I know

  581. my time is up, but I want to pray that every single person here

  582. understands. The next slight says all of us are called to something, but

  583. it's choice that seals it. And the last light says, I might be

  584. defined by my calling, but my destiny is determined by my choices. You've
