You're listening to a message to go from a church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. I put up a slide. I think it's
-
a bit strange. Uh. It's it's not that they are blow for a
-
team for those of you who does the air blow, but yeah, it
-
is to do it Daniel seven. Uh. And these are some of the
-
main characters that are in this particular passage that we're going to be covering.
-
Okay and very cool then okay, cool now before I begin, how many
-
of us, to be very honest, can sometimes feel that, you know,
-
things are beyond our control. Uh. And sometimes it's like, you
-
know what, what's happening? You know, I can't I can't control this.
-
Uh. And and it's not something that is very foreign to a lot
-
of people. It can be in your workplaces. It can even be you
-
know, in a in a in a tough fun store, you know,
-
where things do not go the way things are supposed to go. How come
-
that day, my soitan is not the kind I think you know? Yeah,
-
so so you get I'm trying to say, right, Sometimes it's really
-
hard to understand why things are not in order for those OCD people like myself.
-
You know, you know what I'm trying to say, Right, Sometimes
-
things are not it is beyond your control. And sometimes people how they react,
-
they can be a bit discouraged because things are not in order, all
-
right. And what I'm trying to say here is because the whole book of
-
data that we've gone through, from chapter one all the way to the end
-
is mainly in this team. Things may appear to be out of control,
-
but at the same time, God is still in control. Okay, So
-
you haven't caught that from the last how many times we've met, is still
-
the same theme that Heaven rules and God is still in control. Okay.
-
And this, this is fairly important because you have this is basically the foundation,
-
the anchor, the premise of how we are to do life in general.
-
As some earlier right, all my life, you've been faithful, right
-
all, not once, not twice, every single time, from birth all
-
the way till today, your life, he has been faithful. And you
-
just have to remember that, okay, because you cannot just otherwise you just
-
it's just a Christian Sunday, Karkay, can I think right? You really
-
need to believe in what you're sing? Okay, now, um, as
-
we realize true the Book of Daniel, there's always rise and fall of kingdoms.
-
Right, we covered that in the first few parts. Let's let's just
-
move to Daniel seven because I've got quite a lot to cover, not as
-
much as the previous chapters, but then a seventh, so quite quite a
-
lot, okay, but they give you a context. We're halfway through midway,
-
so if you can break down the Book of Daniel, the whole book,
-
all twelve chapters, into two parts, Part A, part B,
-
we are in part B. Okay of the what's this two parts of not
-
a trilogy as I think called I don't know, you know what I mean?
-
Second half second half Part B right, part bum And just to give
-
you a bit of bearings for those of you who do not know this,
-
the famous stories that we normally cover. One of the famous stories chapter one.
-
You know, Daniel and his friends made a ball move to to not
-
eat certain food because that's what their convictions are, right, and then they
-
are spared. King Nap was also very pleased, and then you know his
-
heart was changed and then he's like, yeah, everything is all for them
-
and their their their life and well and there was Daniel when he was twelve.
-
Oh, my son is Chraeld today, so like, yeah, cool.
-
Anyway, that is the that is the thing. And then of course
-
in a chapter three there was the three armigos who was in the fiery furnace.
-
Uh. And then one fourth armygo came about and then they survived the
-
fiery furnace uh. And that was the end a miracle that even the guards
-
that were pushing them in God burned and they were totally unscathed. Okay.
-
So that is the other famous story. And of course the last time we
-
met we talked about the very famous story even Christians who non Christians would know
-
this story, which is Daniel ender Lions Okay, Dan a Lions then,
-
and of course he's still alive today, I mean still alive in this story
-
today, right, and therefore it's a happy ending, right. And then
-
of course we talked to a few other things as well, about some of
-
the evidences that haven't actually rules, not just in the miracle of him surviving,
-
but really how God has moved and even changed a hardened heart of a
-
king, and the king turned around and even had changed the laws of the
-
land to say that hey, Daniel's God is the god to the next tent
-
paraphrasing here, because of what what he's seen in him. Okay. So
-
that's the first six chapters more or less. Okay. So the chapters are
-
more like historical narratives. It's a bit like history books. Those who did
-
Sajara, you know what I'm talking about. It's all history documentation. Okay.
-
Now the second half, part b as I call it seven to twelve,
-
it's a little bit different. It's more prophetic in nature. It's a
-
bit like the Book of Revelations, and most people, honestly speaking, who
-
who reads beyond chapter six, Most people don't touch it too much because it
-
is a bit more abstract. It's a bit more like revelation, just like
-
how I know some people do it, but most people may not go in
-
depth on Book of Revelation. This is the second half is a bit like
-
that. Okay. So you see some similarities between Daniel, chapter seven and
-
beyond. So I'm trying to say is that people tend to avoid this part
-
of the story la because it's it's not in Bible's Bible as not Bible,
-
it's not in Sunday school, right because it's a bit too complex to describe.
-
You see the characters that we saw this now, right, people like,
-
what on earth is this? What do they represent? Okay? And
-
of course there's a lot interpretations and some of the things that we believe hasn't
-
actually happened yet, so it's a very prophetic or talks about the future,
-
right, the future? Okay? Everykay, so far, just give you
-
a bit of a context. So I divided in two parts. So part
-
A checkers one. The six is when the King downloads from God the dreams,
-
et cetera, and then Daniel interprets the dreams right of course, with
-
the God's wisdom, et cetera. Seven to twelve is the other way around.
-
The tables have turned. God actually spoke to Daniel about certain things true
-
visions, okay, and then he did interpret it. The interpreter has not
-
not doing his job anymore. In fact, you'll read there's an angel or
-
sometimes even others that come alongside him to help interpret it. And we're talking
-
about someone who's been doing interpretation from the age of twelve all the way to
-
about eighty plus. Okay, So kind of kind of funny, right if
-
you're if you are a chef. You've been cooking all this while, you're
-
good at it, but somehow when the time comes, you can't do what
-
you normally do. So there's the like I said, the background of context.
-
And I hope you can understand some of these understanding understanding, Okay now,
-
But of course, at the end of it, in a nutshell,
-
for those of you who like the the ending at the very start of your
-
first five minutes of your YouTube video, the story is God is still in
-
control. Okay. God can be trusted to all periods, in all times,
-
and all through all trials. Um. So of course we're moving into
-
the second half of Daniel right now. Um. And I mentioned earlier talking
-
about Daniel having vision. Now, this vision is very unique. This is
-
what Daniel saw. Okay, I'll read you the vers But like I said,
-
this looks like a video game or a horror movie kind of a thing
-
because they are not your exactly your regular Zoona Garat animals or Samuel Lagoon.
-
Uh. You know, it's not white tie years. You know, it's
-
it's it's quite amazing. Uh and and and and he was dumb struck when
-
he saw it, literally all right, he was like what on earth is
-
this? And then, of course, as I mentioned, Angel into prison,
-
because um, it is quite how to understand. Even if you receive
-
something like that, right you, most of us would just brush it off
-
as I played too much video games the night before. I'm seeing things,
-
you know, the kind of a thing. But he took it a bit
-
more seriously, right, and we're talking to talk about this now, let's
-
just jump straight in. Um. But um, before I go any deeper.
-
Right, As I mentioned earlier, the main theme here is that God
-
is still in control. That I love that song. You know, He's
-
got the whole world. Yeah, in his sense. That's that's why it
-
is all about. Because he's God, still cares. God is still a
-
relation to God. The God back then in the Book of Daniel is still
-
the same God today, even though sometimes we may feel that we're going through
-
different trials, different tribulations. You know, God, where are you?
-
And then those movies where the pans out like you know, why God,
-
why did this happen? To mean those kind of scenes? Right? God
-
is still there, all right, That's what I'm trying to say. But
-
we're gonna see here as well that God will also judge the wicked. Like
-
I said, if you fast forward to the end Daniel chapter seven, he's
-
going to jug the wicked because his purpose would still be fulfilled. And sometimes
-
as we're going through the different tribulations and different trials, we do not understand
-
why we're going through it. And that's why I started the title. And
-
you guys know I'm very bad titles. What I remember, discourage finding peace
-
in chaos is such a conflicting word, you know, peace in chaos.
-
But this is exactly what's happened in this book here, Okay, Okay,
-
so far all right, So we come to Daniels seven today, a really
-
important chapter and it's a framework of all this biblical prophecy that we just talked
-
about. Many connections that get sit between Danios chapter seven. If I'm talking
-
very fast, because I got a lot to cover the chapter seven and then
-
Book of Revelations, and it's not similarities here as well. Images of beasts,
-
Okay, Revelations is quite a fabit. And it also talks about the
-
arrival of a son, a man, son of men to be more specific,
-
okay, And this is evident in both accounts, and if you can
-
look through it, a lot of scholars believe that there are some similarities here.
-
Okay, but ben in mind, when Daniel was going through this,
-
right, he didn't have the New Testament with him then, so he's like,
-
what on earth is this? Okay? He didn't have Revelations with him
-
to read as well, so he's like, what on earth is this?
-
Okay? So this is where we're at. Now, let's read because this
-
is a church, so we let's read from scripture. So let's start from
-
Daniel. Chapter seven, Versus one to three are okay, taking from the
-
New King James version. Okay, Daniel's dream of the four beasts, Okay,
-
in the first year of Belshazzar, King of Babylon. This is the
-
one that we read in the early few chapters. Right, Daniel had a
-
dream and the visions passed through his mind, and he was lying in bed.
-
He wrote down the substance of his dream. It means after waking up
-
straight right down. You know, this is actually important now because sometimes when
-
you dream, after a few minutes where you forget, the dream can related
-
that, right, and I gotta tell my wife this. But after that
-
I wake up, the dreamer thinks, you know, I think and this
-
is what he needs. He's so awoken by the thing he needs to write
-
it down, he wrote on the substance of his dream. But of course,
-
he then said, in my vision at night, I looked there before
-
me four winds of heaven churning up the sea. It must be a very
-
strong wind or to churn the sea. It was churning, right, spinning,
-
spinning, spinning until the whole sea moves. It's not just one small
-
kind of thing for the sea to have this kind of churning effect, right,
-
it must have been very, very turbulent or very violent. Okay,
-
four grade these each different from each other, came out from the sea.
-
Okay, so you've got a very turbulent sea. And then these three sorry,
-
these four beasts rather came out and was just all in that in that
-
first image that we saw earlier. Now to take a pause here a while.
-
You'll be wondering, you know, when is this happening? Just to
-
explain, right, I put up this next light about the chronology a little
-
bit, okay, because we've gone through the chapter one to six small less.
-
This one is actually sort of a flashback the timing of this right,
-
because it mentioned King Shazza okay, and King Belshazzar was the second king in
-
the first six books in order of course they have some some will believe that's
-
actually more in between, but the main three characters in the first six for
-
six chapters, this is the second king that's mentioned. Okay, So it
-
is not King Darius. We start we left chapter six last time we King
-
Darius. Okay, it's not that. So it's actually going back in time.
-
Now. Someone we might argue, how come the author going right like
-
this? You know, how can we go back in time? Hey?
-
But movies? So we do that, right, Star Wars, uh whatever
-
what they call it, prequel, trilogy, origin story, whatever it is,
-
Okay, So to give him an idea, this sits chapter seven,
-
and it sits roughly between chapter four and chapter five, where chapter five you've
-
got King Darius, the last the last king that we had the last time
-
we met before the Daniel, sorry, the Daniel in the Lions then story,
-
and then we got King Belshazza, who died a terrible death as you
-
remember. And this is between seven and eight. Okay, every okay,
-
because a flashback, it's a flashback. It's like a Marvel series Okay,
-
Now, um, where was I lost my train of thought? Marvel?
-
Okay, So, so we have this great win, like I said,
-
turning of the sea, termoil and all that. But the whole purpose about
-
using this term turmoil right is to illustrate that there's a lot of chaos,
-
a law who harder, a lot of things that are not meant to be,
-
and things are almost like spiring out of control. How we gain control
-
to see? I think only Jesus so far has done it, done it
-
right, right, it's out of control. So I think this is also
-
an illustration to say that things are whatever context it may be in so far.
-
Okay, So we're not going to go too deep into this in terms
-
of the things that we are going to be covering, but more like again
-
trying to take a take us two steps back to see what it is in
-
the context of heaven perspective. Now you know how this take a few steps
-
back, You're gonna do that Heaven's perpective. It must further behind beyond heaven
-
to see what's happening, because if you're actually looking in this perspective, you
-
can see what you can see, and then you'd be like, oh God,
-
you know why why am I going to produce things and all that.
-
So I'm just saying saying, looking back, okay, to see what Heaven
-
is happening here. Heaven rules, right, And this vision is God giving
-
Daniel that that panoramic vision, that big picture vision of what it is to
-
come. And I explain the bit he gives God that is, gives Daniel
-
a vision of the kingdoms, the past, the present, and the future.
-
Because some of the things that we're going to be sharing today is not
-
happened yet until today, okay. So it's a very long term kind of
-
prophecy. And the only time that the future will come is that when Jesus
-
returns. Just in the nutshell, okay, So that this is where it
-
is. So it's a bit like revelations, just like how even John,
-
the vision that John was given at Patmos, the kind of a thing,
-
a very big picture of you. Okay. Now let's go straight into the
-
four animals or the four beasts rather first one, okay, first one,
-
it comes from verse four, okay, but these four very quickly. This
-
four beasts, right, has got some parallels to some of the four empires
-
that were talked about before. Okay, Now the reason why I say this
-
is because I have another slide. Okay, a little bit small. But
-
then why the Daniel two. Remember that that statue there was may different parts
-
different sorry, different parts, different materials head of goal, and then as
-
you go down the materials become cheaper and cheaper. This is a parallel representation
-
of the first four beasts that we see. Okay, and I explain in
-
a little while. Now if you move forward to seventeen, skipping ahead,
-
they will actually be very clear that this is the whole relation. Okay,
-
it is really about the kingdoms, because as the statue itself talks about kingdoms.
-
Here again we're talking about kingdoms. Some kingdoms that I said is yet
-
to come. Okay, am I losing anybody here? Okay? Right,
-
so far, I know it's a bit deep, like I said those revelations
-
stuff. Right, it is actually very deep. Went but again, we
-
don't have time to go through everything. But let's just go through skim the
-
surface. Okay. Now let's look to number four. This is going to
-
be talking about the lion with the eagle's wings. Quite nice, right,
-
actually, I mean the picture a lion is one of those majestic animals.
-
Eagles also quite majestic. Doesn't look so be steeler looking? Okay, uh,
-
best word anyway, worse Four the first of the of the four beasts,
-
okay, was like a lion, like a lion, or not lion
-
like a lion. It had wings of an eagle. I watched until its
-
wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground, so that so
-
that it okay. So, by the way, if you notice the words
-
that were chosen here, right, Daniel was what it was. The word
-
he used. Daniel was watching, not bird watching, lion watching her,
-
or anymore watching watching. And this is also something that we need to understand
-
sometimes, right, if you take our eyes off certain things, right,
-
you wouldn't see it the way he's supposed to see it. He kept watching,
-
and you will see this repetitive nature as we go through the different parts
-
of his vision. He kept looking, he kept watching. So again,
-
just in the nutshell, God's trying to remind everybody here to not stop looking,
-
not stop not take our eyes off of him, and do not just
-
focus just on the world, but really focus on what God is telling us.
-
Okay, hopefully you caught that now, Just like in the interpretation I
-
mentioned. The first one represents the babel on the empire that the photographed I
-
show you earlier. Kay, it is parallel with the head of gold.
-
I remember that part the head of gold represents King napped, the first king
-
and his fall, right, so that this, this particular lion, is
-
the same era. Okay. So, and of course you know the story.
-
We see the king. He was humbled at the end. He lost
-
his mind a little bit, but he was restored eventually because he humbled himself.
-
I can go back and read Daniel chapter four, I think, but
-
this is the first beast everywhere, Okay, Okay, Daniel. The next
-
one, chapter five, This one is the bear, okay, the bear
-
that sorry, the bear with three ribs. Okay, that's why I titled
-
this. And there before me was the second beast, which looked like a
-
bear, you know, I always looked like that. But I don't know
-
whether it is that. It was raised up on one of his sides,
-
and he had three ribs in the mouth between its teeth. It was tall.
-
Get up and eat your field of flesh, okay. And a lot
-
of scholars believe that this is a representation of the Middle Persian empire. Okay,
-
the one that is the second part of the statue as well. Okay,
-
this is if you watch three hundred, is that the correct movie talks
-
about Persia, the army, the very strong bunch. The kingdom was actually
-
very strong. And this is so to represent how strong of a kingdom we're
-
talking about earthly kingdom. Now, that is okay, So the Medo Persian
-
Empire. Now let's keep ahead. The lappet with four wings of a bird.
-
This is the white title what I have here. After that, I
-
looked chapter six. After that, I looked, and there before me was
-
another beast, one that looked like a lappard, and on its back it
-
had four wings like like those of a bird. You've got a picture over
-
there right, quite interesting looking on and this one had four hits. Interesting
-
who who who? Who decides where to go? It was given authority to
-
rule, okay, So that's the key thing I wanted to highlight there.
-
It was given the authority to rule. Okay, let you on to death
-
for now. Oposly highlighted that, okay, and then I'll come back to
-
debt. Okay. Uh. And this beast was fierce la bro. Four
-
hits. You know two fillers or sometimes cannot come to agreement with four.
-
You know, it probably is fierce is fast because lepetma, right, cheetah,
-
but close enough la quite fast. And this represents the Greek Empire,
-
Greece, okay itself. And of course we know all the famous empire.
-
The people there know Alexander the Great, et cetera. The empire that we're
-
talking about, a lot of expansion during that time. Okay, right,
-
next one, the Beast of the horns, okay, this from seven after
-
that in my vision at night, I looked, and there before me was
-
the fourth beast, terrifying and frightening and very powerful. This is the ugliest
-
looking one up, by the way. It had large iron teeth. It
-
crushed and devoured victims, trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from
-
all the former beests. It had ten horns. Okay, quite, I
-
don't say the word anyway. While I was thinking about the horns, uh,
-
there before me was another horn, a little one, okay, And
-
this is the horn is very significant, explained a little while which came among
-
them. Now, little doesn't mean small, insights, you know, doesn't
-
mean weak. Okay, by the way, just in case it doesn't mean
-
inct. In fact, we will know later it's actually very significant. Now,
-
let's carry on. Three of his first horns were uprooted before this horn
-
had eyes like eyes of a human being in the mouth that spoke boastfully and
-
some other transition. They used the word arrogantly, okay, very arrogant beests.
-
Okay. Um, So the mysterious fourth beasts actually represents the Greek Empire,
-
or rather after the Greek Empire, is the Roman Empire. Okay,
-
and i've had this next light, please I have this representation there because there's
-
also Daniel chapter eight, which has some other animals, which you'll find out
-
as you come to that part, or we may may not discover it.
-
Law, let's just see how. But here's a short summary. The kings
-
are very powerful, The empires are very powerful. The kingdoms that are all
-
talked about here is not your small compun kind of kingdom la. It's all
-
very powerful, big kingdoms that you even find in regular history books, okay,
-
not just in Bible, in your Sagara book if you studied Sagara,
-
okay, and you can see the worst that that was read earlier. It
-
was authority to rule Okay, what does it mean. It means they were
-
given or endorsed to have dominion. Power was given to them to rule.
-
Okay. So power is given by God is what I'm trying to say here.
-
Okay, But we also see if you read forward, fast forward,
-
you will see that power can also be easily taken away. But we must
-
understand and acknowledge this verse. Power was first given, as the verses has
-
said. Sometimes you do not realize this, even when we look at different
-
levels of authority and in the earthly sense, we do not understand that actually
-
power is given and power is placed. I mean they are placed in a
-
position of power by God. How come they're so cruel? I mean we
-
talk about that later, la, but this is exactly what it is.
-
Okay. Power is given, you could also be taken away. And of
-
course, if you read to Worse twelve, the dominion was removed their Lah,
-
you can skip ahead, which you will come to anyway. But God
-
can easily raise up, he can also easily bring down. I've given some
-
short summary over there, so the verses you can look at it. Authority
-
given by God, Authority also removed by God. So God was involved all
-
throughout not just at one instance, but in all instance of this story,
-
right from Daniel chapter one all the way direct to the end of chapter twelve.
-
Okay, so when God raised, God can also take and easily take
-
down, of course, kings and kingdoms they are. You can use the
-
same word like interchange of bola because obviously the ruler has to rule the kingdom
-
right, so earthly kingdoms. So what I'm trying to say here is that
-
if you understand the position the authority, man's kingdom right is gonna be smaller
-
than God's kingdom the perspective. Okay, that means the top dog, I
-
mean, God is up there and he can easily say okay, step of
-
finger, habbits, everything that you see, the most powerful empire in the
-
world would just be taken away just like that, if God decides to take
-
it away. Okay, everybody, so far, And what does it actually
-
mean all the whole time that we talked about, right is basically Heaven rules
-
in just two words, or Heaven ruling okay, in a very simplistic sense.
-
As fast as they are, there are no match for God's kingdom.
-
Okay, our God's power. And this is the vision that that has received.
-
But of course, let's move away. All these visions were earthly visions
-
because it happened on Earth. Let's move to Heaven's vision, which is what
-
the next few verses talks about, and we transition from Earth to Heaven.
-
A lot of people when they talk about heaven and they think it's two different
-
spaces. Heaven is heaven, Earth is Earth. But actually, as Christians,
-
we believe the Heaven and Earth sort of splice, or rather there's there's
-
a bit of parallel perilism between the two. Okay, but that's no story
-
for none day. But we're going to catch a glimpse of Heaven, okay.
-
In Verse nine says as I kept as I looked, okay, And
-
another important minder, don't stop looking. Always look look for what God is
-
doing, because God has said it there first. Okay. If you ever
-
doubt, remember he wants you to look also. But we gotta stop me,
-
We gotta stop and look. Okay. As I looked, thrones were
-
set in place, and the ancient days took his seat. Ancient days,
-
he says, she another word for the bosser. His clothing was white as
-
snow, and the hair of his head was white like wool. Okay,
-
Now, very important parts of his throne was flaming with fire, and his
-
wheels were a blaze. A river of fire was flowing coming out of coming
-
up from before him. Sorry, thousands upon thousands attended, ten thousand times
-
ten thousand stood before him. So basically a very big crowd and a very
-
big gatheringler. It's not a small candu RelA. Let's put his way.
-
A lot of people attended it. And and normally in the earthly sense,
-
right when something this big happens, right, is quite someone of high you
-
know, high status. Lah bile up yella, you know, I know
-
I see him. I always think of cattiness anyway, you get the idea,
-
all right, So um, of course these represents the angels similarly like
-
in how we've seen in revelations. Okay, Um, and remember this the
-
fire and the wheel, the fiery wheel. It's actually very similar to Easygo's
-
vision. You know, if you if you look it up, you don't
-
know why this is right down, go look it up Easygo's view. Okay,
-
actually put it up there as a photos strange view bas on fire.
-
Okay. And this is the same vision that Danil was receiving. Then then
-
in other places of books as well. Like I said, it is sometimes
-
not easy for him to see it because he didn't have the whole Bible in
-
front himla, It was only journeying it through through a vision that God has
-
given him, so his first sneak preview or what to come so far,
-
okay, So a glimpse or a depiction of heaven is what Daniel was allowed
-
to see, okay. And you can see here from the first few verses
-
the kingdoms, the earthly kingdoms and the earthly kings. They were so powerful,
-
they were so great, they were so vast, they were so they
-
so expensive in the way they took territory there so, and of course they
-
did terrible things as well. But in contrast God's kingdom it's actually quite different
-
and also studying, also very powerful, but the different kind of demonstration.
-
And of course, like I said earlier, the ancient of days, right,
-
it's actually another name for it. It's actually the most high God okay
-
uh. In case you don't know who that is, God Lack, the
-
name that's frequently used in the Book of Daniel is to represent God is himself,
-
and it's surrounded by fire wi fire? Is it a or zi barbecue?
-
Kind of a day wi wi fire? And then it's fire after fire,
-
no blazing fire reverse or a fire waters again burn. You know it's
-
quite dangerous that it's got quite power power fuller, right, don't mess with
-
him, Lah, This is the real deal man, It's not just your
-
small time Yeah. But but okay, on a serious note, fire and
-
anybody can remember what fire represents, at least in the in the biblical sense,
-
what does it issue represents? Shout out sorry, cleanses, yeah,
-
refinement consuming fire right he cleanses. Uh. Some some other verses who use
-
the word purification purified by fire. If you go and look to general the
-
first pizza, you know, our faith, more precious than goal, may
-
be tested by fire to bring praise, glory and honor to God. What
-
else? What else does s fire usually covers? In adultical sense? Anybody
-
huh rougher white white, rougher meain? Sorry? Oh? In fuller?
-
Okay um? Yeah. Usually it is also to to signify judgment and also
-
to punishment. La. That's why even the earth leaking also knew how to
-
throw the fuller in the fire, because it is in a lot of times,
-
you know, like Sodom and Gomera. You know, Sodom and go
-
the story the whole place was sent a fire, right, because that's how
-
the ultimate punishment la when the whole city since you get burnt. Okay,
-
So generally, of course it's more. But these two are the main ones
-
that we're talking about. So fire actually signifies purity, purity, intense purity
-
in fact. So what this picture? I think I've got a picture there,
-
Oh yeah, I have it. Then maybe not the most accurate,
-
but nothing can be corrupted, can come close to Godler Strang trying to say,
-
because even as you draw close to him, right, you'll be purified
-
in the process, because there's five riverse fire, you know, wheel of
-
fire, thrown a fire. It's hot. La, He's a hot Godler
-
huh. So nothing unholy, nothing, nothing, nothing can come true him.
-
So only the good, good people or the eternal people can draw close
-
to come close to him, is what that probably depicts. And of course
-
he sits here the last versday talks about court. What is caught? How
-
they understand about courts? Here? English lessoner raising for him, court is
-
just caught, Ler judge that court is the supreme Court, Court of the
-
highest of the highest. He is the supreme judge. Lies another way I'm
-
putting it, this is the ultimate decision maker when it comes to judgment.
-
Okay, and this is what it signifies. Now back to Earth has come
-
back to Earth. So the scene when he moved to eleventh switches back to
-
Earth. And some may argue that Earth is always a fallen world, which
-
it is, but nothing wrong with that. Sometimes we see how come we
-
just have to look up? Right? We look up to heaven all the
-
time, which is good, but sometimes I also encourage put to look what's
-
happening around you so that you can, like a better word, adopt the
-
heavenly stuff and make it work. For those of you. In education,
-
you know what I'm talking about. Right, when you try to teach somebody
-
some skill sets, it's not just them taking it and then just blund blindly
-
doing using it right. They need to be able to adapt it. Like
-
math, for example. We need to we need to adapt it and make
-
it work. But if you don't understand the actual problem itself, how can
-
you take something even though it's heavenly to adapt it. Okay, So encouraging
-
to look up but also look at what's happening around so they can adapt God's
-
rule or God's kingdom in our worldly perspective as well. Okay, okay,
-
now let's come back. I digress a little bit eleven. Then I continue
-
to watch again. He's still watching, you all, none stops watching.
-
Okay, It's like a Netflix series that is ongoing because of the boastful words
-
the horn was speaking. This is of course talking about the fourth beast.
-
I kept looking again, looking again, until the beast was slain. Okay,
-
and this body destroyed, thrown into a blazing fire. Again, fire
-
is being used again. And of course, in the next verse it says
-
the other beast was stripped of its authority. I mean say, dominions removed.
-
I'm talking. I think they're talking about the chapter the verse six,
-
because dominion authority was given. Authority was removed in this particular verse. Okay,
-
But one thing to also look at this, right, but we're allowed
-
to live for a period of time. Quite interesting, right, remove authority,
-
but allowed to live what gives her? Okay, but anyway, um,
-
the arrogant beast was killed okay, the horner, because he's speaking arrogantly,
-
he was killed straight away consumed by the fire. And like I said
-
earlier, the fire is for purification. It signifies holiness and of course also
-
judgment as you mentioned earlier, So he is a god of wrath or so,
-
No, he's not just your fluffy, fluffy, teddy back kind of
-
god. This is a god that would really bring judgment when to who people
-
who resist, people who reject his rule, who gets out of line?
-
And then what will happen to them? They will actually be suffering eternal condemnation.
-
Okay, so that's the there's the outcome. So I put up the
-
thing that fire of God talks about his holiness, his wrath and his judgment,
-
and those that are in that second category there have to be careful.
-
Okay everybody, so far we're halfway there. Halfway there, thank you Jesus.
-
Okay. Another observation here is that God determines how long someone stay in
-
power and also how long somebody lives. As we read earlier. Okay,
-
so a bit of time extension is being given to the person to to live,
-
or rather to that least to live, and only God can decide.
-
Okay, now let's uh, let's go back to the vision in heaven where
-
the ancient day is seated right now, regardless of white sticking in on earth.
-
Um. As I mentioned earlier, the ultimate control is actually God.
-
He's in control, not earthly kings. And that's why we say Heaven rules.
-
Okay, now let's go to thirteen. Next slide thirteen thank you,
-
uh Okay. In my vision at nite, I looked, or in other
-
words, I continue to watch again. He's watching a one stop. Here's
-
why so many sometimes Christians are also depressed and discourage because sometimes if you stop
-
watching for what God has to tell you right then what comes in discouragement and
-
creep in because you set your eyes on maybe like a better word, the
-
problem and not you lose sight of God. La Okay, So just a
-
reminder to keep watching him as well as you look at the things that's happening.
-
Okay, where was I sorry? In my vision at night, I
-
looked, and there before me one like a son of men because this one
-
talks about Jesus law. Okay, even though Jesus didn't come yet, nobody
-
knew like I said, this is he had no understanding of this at the
-
time because he didn't have the New Testaments before him, we are quite privileged,
-
let me know, okay. Coming with the clouds of heaven, he
-
approached the ancient days against God La and was led into his presence Number fourteen.
-
He was given authority, glory, and sovereign power. All nations at
-
all people of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
-
okay, and will not pass. And his kingdom is one that will never
-
be destroyed. Or there's a kicker of a of a of an ending,
-
you know of that particular verse. Let mean is Saiah my one is the
-
greatest one, cannot cannot die literally okay. So unlike what's happening here on
-
earth, all the kingdoms on earth are all temporary. It's not permanent.
-
It will not be everlasting. And even if power is given or time is
-
given, is up to him to remove it when he wants to remove it.
-
And so ultimately the big boss is actually Jesus. He's given the ultimate
-
dominion over heaven and also on earth. Okay, He reigned and will rule
-
forever. Okay. I put up this particular photograph there I want to find
-
out Argum by top, you might be very disrespectful for our current argum,
-
even though it's both day tomorrow. So I thought, I think the one
-
in the dollar note lah last time. Okay, but what I'm trying to
-
signify his right power, authority can be taken back by earthly rulers. Don't
-
report me. And by the way, yeah, because why dominion actually belongs
-
to Jesus. Okay, and Jesus alone all along. Sometimes you just forget
-
and sometimes you get upset by different things. I mean, in the last
-
few years, you know la, you know, even a political scene.
-
We get upset about certain things, right, but we forget that. Hey,
-
still he's still the one that allows it. Okay. The kingdom and
-
all the glory will be given to him by his father. That's what's written
-
in the world. Okay, so far, okay, now let's go back.
-
I think if we carry on, uh, let's see. Yeah,
-
okay, so he's going to be an everlasting dominion. Now, if you
-
cannot remember any that I shared today or even the last few times that we
-
met, right, the only thing you used to know, right from the
-
very start till now, right, you usually keep reminding this, Right,
-
he's coming, His kingdom is coming. Kingdoms will come, Rulers will be
-
their presidents of the United States, etc. Even prime ministers will come and
-
go. But God is still the constant. It is true during Daniel's time,
-
It is true today. It will be also tomorrow, and the next
-
day and the day after and the one year here, ten years to here,
-
et cetera. Okay, that's the take home message that you need to
-
understand. Okay, because why kings can be brought down, Rulers can be
-
brought down, kingdoms, big large empires, Persian empires can be taken down.
-
Roman empires can be taken down just like that. Okay. So bottom
-
line is just serve him, lay, serve him, do your best,
-
reign, understand his authority, and then whatever it is, just keep watching,
-
keep watching. Okay. Now let's jump straight into a little bit of
-
not so nice Partler huh talks a bit about anti Christ. This is a
-
small little horner they talked about. Okay, Um, but even though the
-
anti Christ might might be there, and we'll talk about that in a little
-
while, you still recognized who's in control, because ultimately he will come.
-
Okay. Now, um, let's look at verse fifteen. I Daniel was
-
troubled in spirit and the vision that has passed through my mind disturbed me.
-
So Daniel was also troubled. For a man like Daniel to be troubled,
-
right, I think it's quite troubled. I mean quite troubling, la,
-
right, because he's a man who's seen a lot things and still his trouble.
-
What is this burden that he is carrying. He's probably disturbed about what
-
the future lies, not for himself only, but for the rest of the
-
people as well. Okay, this is exactly what he's going through. Fifteen.
-
I Daniel was troubled in spirit, and the vision that has passed through
-
my mind disturbed me. Sixteen I approach one of those standing there, who's
-
this the Angel the Extra call a friend okay, asked him the meaning of
-
this because he couldn't understand this, okay, And of course the Angel actually
-
explain. And like I said, now, Captain Hinsight, we got all
-
these New Testament, we understand some of the things that he is going through
-
as well. You have a greater understanding than Daniel than Daniel during his time
-
because you're the New Testament. But for him, this is something that is
-
unfolding. But my question, right is do we actually care so deeply about
-
understanding God's plan or God's or even God's vision. And sometimes God reveals us
-
something, whether it's strange or not. Do you have that kind of Uh,
-
it doesn't grip you the same way he gripped Daniel that he's so burdened
-
that he wanted to pursue that he wants to understand somethings. Just brush it
-
aside, right because either it is too difficult for us due or maybe it's
-
not for me. We don't quite understand it, but we don't also pursue
-
it as well. Okay, So I put this thing up earlier in the
-
in the slide, do we actually care deeply about understanding God's plan, his
-
will, his rule as Daniel did food for thought, so much so that
-
he wanted to know. But do we even consult the angels or God?
-
Now we've got direct access to God? Do we actually ask? And what?
-
What does this actually imply? He's probably what I'm trying to challenge everybody
-
here. Okay, now that's uh, I'm gonna land soon. I've got
-
another ten more verses. So he told me and gave me interpretation of these
-
things, of course, explaining what's happened, the four grade beasts are four
-
kings. As you mentioned earlier, what it represents. I think we know
-
that already. But the Holy people of the Most High will receive the kingdom
-
and will possess it forever, Yes, forever and ever. I thought this
-
was actually something that we will say in during this not modern time by actually
-
in the Bibles says like this, not forever and ever and ever and ever
-
and ever. Okay, how many gets aimen to that forever and ever the
-
servants of the Holy ones the Most High? Yo? What's soccer? Right?
-
Guys? All right, let me watch the game yesterday. I don't
-
know who you're rooting for, but but you know what this right? Sometimes
-
in easy stock an energy. Here in soccer, you have distinct possession,
-
right You always, oh, what's the percentage of possession? Fifty fifteen ninety
-
or whatever? And you see the one that is dominating were the ones that
-
have a higher percentage. This possession is eternity kind of possession, you know
-
that. Miss. Even though the baton of the the ball that represents the
-
kingdom or the ruler is getting passed arounder of the kingdoms are it may seem
-
like a very long timer but in nothing compares to eternity, or they miss
-
the possession is infinity versus I don't know. Yeah, oppositiffinity is small,
-
it's minute, okay, So why because the Holy ones possess it forever and
-
ever and ever and ever and ever. Okay. So one friend says that
-
sometimes we may feel that we not win every battle. Things do not go
-
according to plan. But even though small victories may not happen in our sphere,
-
we must understand that God is on your side and he will deliver less.
-
Continue reading on, And this is the part that sometimes also irks me
-
live when I read it, but I think it read it anyway because it's
-
part of the Bible. Nineteen Then I wanted to know the meaning of the
-
fourth beasts, still very inquisitive, which was different from all the others,
-
and the most terrifying. With its iron teeth bronze claws. The beasts had
-
crushed and devout its victims, trampled underfoot whatever was left. Twenty. I
-
also wanted to know about the ten horns, very specific idea, and the
-
other horn that came up, the small horner, And then there were three
-
of them that fell, the horn that looked more imposing than the others,
-
and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully. You read that before
-
as well. It's a repetition a bit. As I watched this horn was
-
waging war against holy people who are holy people, who are holy people God's
-
people are you and Mila as Christians or people that call God our God right
-
and defeating them until the ancient days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the
-
holy people, same people of the Most High, and time came when they
-
possessed the kingdom again, possession the possessions infinta. Kay. Now, like
-
I said when I first read this, many many times I read it,
-
it still irks me in a little bit because reading about this right simply tells
-
us right that the evil ones will also still get its uila. He's written.
-
You know that means cannot avoid You know it's gonna happen now, and
-
it's happening in our world today as well. Sometimes we feel that things are
-
unjust, the people that are unrighteous getting whatever or getting their way, etc.
-
How come ungodly laws are ruling us. You know in some countries I
-
wouldn't mention the country, but you know, even things that are not quite
-
godly is being approved as a law, and people are like questions, you
-
know, the country used to be a Christian nation, but why is this
-
happening? Right? And in some places there's outright persecution for God's people you
-
probably heard of, you know, underground believers as well. Okay, how
-
long is it going to go for anybody? Is persecution until the ancient days
-
arrives? Who's the ancient days? God comes back? Lah, the second
-
Coming? Okay, so I say it's not happening yet. Gay rules in
-
favor of the Holy ones. At what time? God's Simla is perfect time
-
as for you, La, even in the in the in the localized setting
-
is also his timing. Okay, so just hang on there, because he
-
is going to come. He is going to come. Bottom line is God
-
is going to win anyway. La. It's just that maybe at that particular
-
small battles that you're in, not there yet, but he promises that he's
-
gonna win. Okay, all right, a few more and then we're done.
-
Versus train tree. He gave me an explanation. The Fourth Beast is
-
a fourth kingdom that appears on earth. It will be different from all the
-
other kingdoms and devour the earth, trampling and crushing ten horns, some repetition
-
of what we've done earlier. Twenty five, he will speak against the most
-
High oppress his holy people. Oppressional not just It means oppressed, is aware
-
of a very aggressive offensive word that miss intentionally oppressing, notod In case you
-
don't know, right, try to change his set times and the laws mean
-
you say, change your practices, challenge your practices, your religious beliefs right,
-
and your laws defin that the holy people will be delivered into his hands
-
for a time times and half a time, while the one is like mind
-
blowing for me. So I don't know what that actually means, but for
-
me time Let's say, if you use time as one unit one year,
-
for example, times is probably at least two, all right, So one
-
plus two is at least three and then half a time, so at least
-
three and a half years or three and a half days or whatever is luck
-
okay, So in his time, in his time, all right, there's
-
always yeah. Oppression is another word for wearing you out right, where's your's
-
continuous? And this talks about antichrists a little bit. Wooh, scary all
-
right, let's let's go on. Let's skip past that thing twenty six.
-
But the court, this is God's corner, not not Badminton court. I
-
don't know why that came out in my head. But we'll sit and his
-
power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. Then the sovereignty, power,
-
greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy
-
people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and
-
the rule and certain the rulers will worship and obey him. So one trying
-
to say is that, yes, we're all oppressed, we are all you
-
know, being attacked sometimes, but you know we will prevail. It's his
-
promise. But yeah, one day the ancient days will will whole court,
-
you know, use the what they call that thing under the hammer. I
-
don't wants the property for it. Yeah, call for a court to be
-
in order. The judge will deliver not just earthly judgment, but the ultimate
-
judgment from the ultimate Judge himself, and will then give a wording for all
-
those people or all those that have wronged the righteous, all those arrogant,
-
even the Antichrists that we mentioned about, will have to face judgment and that's
-
his promise. So yes, Holy people, you may suffer a little bit,
-
you maybe even be threatened. But the fact is, you know,
-
although sometimes you can bed be troubled, whenever we're going through calamities, it's
-
all okay because God is still in control. We hope you've been blessed by
-
this message. For more information on our church, please visit x church Org.
