  1. You're listening to a message to go from X church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your tea. Let's see, what's the sermon title for today?

  3. What do you want to eat? Correct? If y'all are married and

  4. you have asked your wife what do you want to eat? I'm telling you

  5. it is a loaded question. It is a loaded question. Right. Eat

  6. can either upgrade your marriage closer or can cause a war. You know.

  7. So when you say what do you want to eat? They will not tell

  8. you what they want to eat. They will just tell you what they don't

  9. want to eat. You know, everything you suggest no no, no,

  10. no no no. After that you say what do you want to eat?

  11. Anything? I'm like, what does that mean? All right? Yeah?

  12. So so that's why I was thinking, is how difficult is it to say

  13. that give us this day our daily bread and what our daily bread is is

  14. actually our food? Right? And what we eat? Okay? So why

  15. do we eat? How important is food? Very? Right? You know?

  16. The Maslow hierarchy of needs. Food is the bottom, right, It

  17. is the bare minimum that we need to survive, all right. It causes

  18. us to grow, it causes us to even Yeah, for health, disease

  19. prevention. It improves our quality of life, brain function, prevents diseases and

  20. stuff like that. And food is such. It's a multi billion dollar industry,

  21. right, it's a multi billion dollar industry. So much people are so

  22. many companies are pumping millions and millions or billions of dollars into the industry to

  23. sort of influence people. Okay, and y'all have heard of so many different

  24. kinds of diets. Okay, if I go to the next line, so

  25. you have heard of like low carb diet, Atkins diet, Ducan diet.

  26. I don't know what's a Duken diet, Paleo diet, vegan diet. Then

  27. you have keto, you got Yeah, you've got so many kinds of diets.

  28. But why do you think all these diets came into existence? Why do

  29. you think all these diets came into existence for health? People wanted to be

  30. more healthy or they wanted to achieve a higher level of performance, you know,

  31. they wanted to be the best version of themselves. I'm not sure if

  32. you'll watched the Netflix documentary Game Changes. Have you all watched that? Um?

  33. So, if you haven't watched it, it's it's quite interesting. Um

  34. it's about this group of people. Um, they are high performance athletes,

  35. world class athletes who have gone onto plant base plant based diet. And you

  36. show that they are performing at the highest level, you know, from sprinters

  37. to weightlifters to everything and and and it shows how important their diet is.

  38. Right and uh as I was researching it even further. Right, Um,

  39. so there's actually this group of people. They are called the Abkhazian people.

  40. Okay. So Abkazia is actually a country which is in Georgia or the Black

  41. Seas money in Russia. Okay. What's so interesting about this group of people,

  42. right, is that this country has the highest number of centenarians in the

  43. world. Centenarians meaning people who are hundred and above. You know, it

  44. was very uh So, there are a few people groups, but this country

  45. was one of them, and a lot of research people when it did research.

  46. Hey, how come why are these people living healthy lives? How what's

  47. their secret? Okay? So their secrets? They are healthiest, right,

  48. both mentally as well as physically. There's no chronic disease there, you know,

  49. you don't hear like cancer and stuff like that. So everyone is very

  50. interested. How come. Right, So the first thing is of course,

  51. they have a very active lifestyle. They live in mountainous areas, so they

  52. climb the mountain, they for food. Uh, they're basically their lifestyle is

  53. very active, right, second thing is they have a plant based diet.

  54. Okay, plant based diet, so they don't eat any processed food, not

  55. any grain, you know, anything from from from the ground and stuff like.

  56. So they're very healthy. And the third one is they actually enjoy growing

  57. older, you know, meaning right, they do not see it as a

  58. curse. They see that hey, it is something that it is they enjoy

  59. like all of us want the fountain of youth, but for them, they

  60. enjoy. They live their fullest life all the way until they pass on.

  61. Yeah, so they really enjoy life per se and and that I mean what

  62. was interesting, is right, is that this group of people, I guess

  63. the key is also what they eat, right, what they eat and what

  64. they eat is governed by how they think and what they do, and that's

  65. caused them to live a healthy life. So all of us know this.

  66. You know what's the secret to a healthy life? Discipline? Now, eat

  67. well, sleep well, exercise. But you go into a bookstall like I

  68. mentioned, right, you have thousands of books on the different kinds of diet,

  69. different kinds of things, and stuff like that. Right, so how

  70. does this tie in to give us this day our daily bread? It must

  71. be important, right if the Lord's prayer they said, give us this day

  72. our daily bread. Right, So we need bread. We have established that

  73. fact. We need food for survival. It is core for us to grow.

  74. Right. But why is it so important that this line is in the

  75. Bible? Okay? So for my first point, okay, if I go

  76. to the next line, right, So this is the Lord's prayer Luke eleven,

  77. verse two. He said to them, when you pray, say Father,

  78. hello, be your name, your kingdom. Come give us each day

  79. our daily bread. Right. I think it's a bit truncated there. Yeah,

  80. but give us each day our daily bread. This is important. Okay.

  81. So we know that bread is important, and we usually usually this part

  82. of the prayer. Right, give us this day our daily bread. We

  83. have no issues because we have a need. What do you do when you

  84. pray? You ask God for a need? Right fulfill my needs? Okay,

  85. So let's see a bit on how God has done this in the Bible.

  86. Right, next line, So why do we need to ask God for

  87. our deliberate Why do we need to ask God for our deliberate? You know,

  88. because it's food. You know, you need to survive. You can

  89. just go and get it, and stuff like, why do we need to

  90. ask God for our deliberate? So if I go to Matthew seven, it

  91. says here, ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you

  92. will find. Knock and the door will be open to you. For everyone

  93. who asks receives. The one who seeks finds, and to the one who

  94. knocks the door will be opened. Which of you, if your son asks

  95. for bread, will you give him a stone? Or if he asks for

  96. a fish, will you give him a snake? If you, then,

  97. though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children.

  98. How much more will your father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask

  99. him? Okay, so the question just now was why do we need to

  100. ask God right for our daily bread? I will ask you another question.

  101. If you do not ask God for your daily bread, who are you asking

  102. it from? Who are you asking it from? You know that God is

  103. a good God. You know we established that in the Lord's prayer. Our

  104. father, who are in heaven. Hello wood Bedny. As we have established

  105. that he's a good father, he wants his will for your life is in

  106. alignment with his will, which is only good, right, and so that

  107. his kingdom will be established on earth as it is in heaven. So we

  108. have established that he's a good father, right, and he wants the best

  109. for us. So if you need your daily bread, why won't you ask

  110. it from him? Right? So, there are a few reasons, right,

  111. why we don't ask it from him. First of all, we think

  112. we can do it on our own, right. We think we can do

  113. it on our own. The second thing is we are probably getting it from

  114. a different sauce, right, And when you get it from another sauce,

  115. how credible is that other sauce? What kind of sauce is that? So

  116. take for example, my kids. My kids, they wake up in the

  117. morning, they come down, after they brush their teeth and all that,

  118. they come down and then they say, Father, give me this my daily

  119. bread. You know, they will come I'm paraphrasing, but essentially they say,

  120. what's for lunch, what's for breakfast? I'm hungry? You know,

  121. That's essentially what kids do. And they will not go and ask a stranger.

  122. They will come to their parents, whom they know, who they know

  123. loves them, and they have no doubt in the mind that their parents have

  124. the best intentions for them. The parents may not always agree with what they

  125. want, but there is no doubting the intention. So the kids will come

  126. down and say, I'm hungry. What do I want to eat? What's

  127. for lunch? Then you give them something, Oh yeah, I do want

  128. this one. But then you force them to eat anyway. You know,

  129. sometimes they don't like wishta birds or you don't like whatever it is right.

  130. So that's why it says here for which of you, if you're son asked

  131. for bread, will give him a stone? Or we ask for a fish,

  132. will he will give him a snake? All right? How much more

  133. will your father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him? So

  134. that is why it's very important for us to ask God for our daily bread?

  135. Okay, if I got the next light, So this was when God

  136. literally gave the Israelites their daily bread. So the Israelites were in the desert

  137. for forty years. How much food do you need to pack for forty years?

  138. It's crazy, right, there's no dry ruler, there is nothing.

  139. It's a desert. There's no grab. Everything is our coverage. Right,

  140. so let me read here, right. The whole of Israelite community set out

  141. from Elim and came to the desert of sin which is Ilim and Sinai.

  142. On the fifteenth day of the second month, after they had come out of

  143. Egypt. In the desert, the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron,

  144. and the easie lights said to them, if only we had died but the

  145. Lord's hand in Egypt, there we sat around pots of meat and ate all

  146. the food we wanted. But you have brought us out into this desert to

  147. starve this entire assembly to that this is like extreme, you know, think

  148. about it, right, They have just went through the ten plaques, they

  149. have gone through the parting of the Red Sea. And then after they had

  150. like, God, you brought us here to die. I'm like, there's

  151. too much effort, right, you bring people, a million people, through

  152. so much, any challenges, just into the desert to die. Of course,

  153. not right, of course not so. Next light, then the Lord's

  154. said to Moses, I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The

  155. people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In

  156. this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.

  157. On the sixth day, they are to prepare what they bring in, and

  158. that is to be twice as much as they gather on other days. Okay,

  159. So God hurt them fair, right. They were asking God, give

  160. us this day or deliberate. They were not asking. They were complaining,

  161. God, give us this day or deliberate. Right, And God gave it

  162. to them daily and except on the sixth day. So the sixth day they

  163. had to collect enough for two days. So because the seventh day is the

  164. day of Sabbath where they're supposed to rest. Right. So think about this,

  165. right, we have read this so many times, but can we live

  166. out the faith of the Israelites? Think about it? Right, You don't

  167. have any You've got nothing in your bank account, Okay. Every day you

  168. just depend on God to send manna from heaven. If not, you will

  169. die. And that was the kind of faith that the Israelites had to have,

  170. you know. And God promised that promised it to them, you know.

  171. So you think about it every day. You have manna in the morning,

  172. and you have quails at night, so you have bread and meat provided.

  173. If do you think that Israelites had any choice? Who else they could

  174. ask from? No, they couldn't do it on their own. They couldn't

  175. ask that Egyptians because most of them probably perished in the Red Sea and they

  176. wouldn't want to go back there anymore. Right, the only person they can

  177. ask for is God. But right now for us, are we living this

  178. kind of lifestyle where God is our only resort? Or is God our last

  179. resort? Usually we are living our lives right now as God is our last

  180. resort. If everything fails, then you pull the emergency lever. So we

  181. depend on our own strength for daily bread or we depend on others. Right,

  182. but the scripture is very clear, give us this day our daily bread.

  183. If we pray this, we have to depend on God to provide for

  184. our needs. Right. So, if now that we have established that right

  185. that we need to depend on God, because you think about it, if

  186. they did not depend on the God, they would not have food to eat.

  187. Okay, So next question, what do we need to eat? So

  188. now we have established why do we need to ask from God? So what

  189. do we need to eat? What do we need to eat, give us

  190. this day or deliberate. Why is it like so scary to answer? See,

  191. this is why I told you. You're so hot for me to prepare

  192. it all. You think it's so easy, right, But if I go

  193. into it, I'm like, man, this is like there's so much and

  194. I think I barely scratched the surface. Yeah. So if I go,

  195. yes, correct? So next next slight, so John six. Then they

  196. asked him what must we do to do? What was we do to do

  197. the works God requires? Jesus answered, the work of God is this to

  198. believe in the one that He has sent. So they asked him, what

  199. sign, then will you give that we may see it and believe? What

  200. will you do? Our ancestors ate the manner in the wilderness, and it

  201. is as it is written. He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

  202. Okay, Next slight, Jesus said to them, very truly, I tell

  203. you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven,

  204. but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For

  205. the Bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven. And give

  206. life to the world. Sir, they asked, They said, always give

  207. us this bread. Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life.

  208. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will

  209. never be thirsty. Okay, so we have read this before countless times.

  210. If I fast tracked this scripture, right, this is John six. If

  211. I fast track it down to a few verses, he goes to John six

  212. six six. What happens in John six six six? A lot of people

  213. left Jesus because of what he was preaching here. So why was it controversial?

  214. Why was it controversial? Why did a lot of people leave Jesus when

  215. he said that you have to eat my body and drink my blood. Of

  216. course it sounds like cannibilism. Of course it sounds controversial. Right. But

  217. then in the last prayer it says give us this day our daily bread,

  218. all right, And here he says that I am the bread of life.

  219. Right, So what are we going to eat? What are we going to

  220. eat? Yeah, he's word Jesus. Okay, So that's why I'm telling

  221. you. I was battling with all these kind of questions, right, So

  222. you think of it, right, Um, let me just pull this up

  223. here. Yes, okay, So when we are hungry, all right,

  224. All of us are hungry right now, some of you all baby hungry or

  225. so correct? Okay, So hunger is human. To be hungry is human,

  226. right, and we say that what do we need to eat? Right?

  227. So when we want to fill our hunger, right, it says here

  228. Jesus says that I am the bread of life. No one comes to the

  229. Father except from me. He right, So it's easier. We need to

  230. trust and be continuously dependent on Him for survival. Because when you trust in

  231. bread, what happens with bread after a week mold? But if you trust

  232. in Jesus, what happens. Yeah, you get fresh manner every day.

  233. You get fresh manner every day. And it is not He will provide for

  234. you, right, It is very clear he says he will provide for you.

  235. Okay, And it's easier right if I go to the next light.

  236. Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy,

  237. to offer your bodies as a living check your Christ, Holy and pleasing

  238. God. This is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the

  239. pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

  240. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, his

  241. good, pleasing and perfect will. Okay, So why do I put this

  242. verse because the verse before give us this day our daily bread is your kingdom.

  243. Come, Your will be done. When we pray that, we say

  244. that God, I will submit myself to your will. So when I need

  245. to do the will of God, I need the fuel from God. I

  246. need the bread from God to execute the will. So I cannot get the

  247. bread from another sauce. If I get the bread from another sauce, it

  248. may not feel me enough. So you think of it thiswela. Right,

  249. you are preparing for a marathon, right, it's forty two kilometers and you

  250. go and eat banana leaf rice? Is that the right fuel to do the

  251. will? The will is, I tell you you're dying. Confirm right,

  252. banana leaf rice before you run forty two km? So the will was the

  253. forty two km the fuel was the banana leaf is the wrong fuel. But

  254. when we know what the will is, God has already said the will is

  255. to do the work of the Father. Right, we know that God has

  256. a will for us, so we need the fuel from him. We need

  257. the fuel from him. To execute. Okay, So that's why it saysia,

  258. right, be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so we have

  259. to switch our thoughts, transformed our minds, and so in this day and

  260. age, right, if you are hungering, if you're hungering hungry, if

  261. you're hungry, what do you do right now? Right? Straight? We

  262. go fast food? Sometimes fast food is very easy. Leave, that's why

  263. it's called fast food, and you straightway try and fill it up. All

  264. right, But if you are transformed by the renewing of your mind and you

  265. have a hunger, right, what do you do? You ask God?

  266. You know you put God first, say, and that's why you also say

  267. grace over your food. You thank God for the food that He has provided

  268. for you. Right. So, like what I mentioned, right, having

  269. an appetite is not wrong. It is human nature. How we feel the

  270. appetite is up to us. Because there is a wrong way to fill the

  271. appetite, right, There is a wrong way to fill the appetite, right,

  272. So there is There is this story of George Muller. I'm not sure

  273. y'all have heard about him. He's an evangelist. He also ran aphanages a

  274. lot ofphanages in the eighteenth century. So it's let me just read it out

  275. right. The children addressed and ready for school, but there is no food

  276. for them to eat. The house mother of the orphanage informed George Muller.

  277. George asked her to take the three hundred children into the dining room and have

  278. them sit at the tables. He thanked God for the food and waited.

  279. George knew that God would provide food for the children, as he always did.

  280. Within minutes, a baker knocked on the door. Mister Muller, He

  281. said, last night I could not sleep. Somehow I knew that you would

  282. need bread. This morning I got up and baked three batches for you.

  283. I will bring it in soon. There was another knock on the door.

  284. It was the milkman. His cart had broken down in front of the orphanage.

  285. The milk would spoil by the time the wheel were fixed. He asked

  286. George if he could use some free milk. George smiled as the milkman brought

  287. in ten large cans of milk. It was just enough for the three hundred

  288. thirsty children. That is amazing sometimes, right, we are so concerned about

  289. one stomach, our own but this is three hundred children. Imagine the faith

  290. that George Muller had. He had no worry. He just sat down and

  291. prayed and as a research him, right, I read there's so many He

  292. has so many testimonies about asking God for daily bread. Give us this day

  293. our daily bread? Are we asking God for our daily brein? Like I

  294. say, right, we have so many kinds of appetite. Daily bread goes

  295. beyond food. You have your emotional needs, you have your physical needs,

  296. you have your spiritual needs, you have your financial needs, you have your

  297. health. So for all your needs, are you asking God for your daily

  298. bread? That's why it goes beyond the bread, because he says Jesus is

  299. the bread of life. Right. I hope it's getting through. But as

  300. I say, it's a bit tough. Okay, So now I wanted to

  301. segue a bit right next, So then there's a scripture, right, taste

  302. and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the one who takes refuge

  303. in him. So what's the difference between tasting and cons consuming? Okay,

  304. once for survival, once for luxury? Is it right? Okay? Can

  305. you grow true tasting? You can't? Right? So then then I was

  306. thinking, can a non Christian or someone who does not know Jesus taste and

  307. see that the Lord is good? Can you can? Right? Because yeah,

  308. you like for example, you go for food tasting, you go and

  309. test, right, and you know when you taste God, you know that

  310. he is good. Right. So that's why some people who do not know

  311. Jesus, they say, hey, taste and see the Lord is good.

  312. And they taste God and they say, hey, I want to know him.

  313. I want Jesus as my personal Lord and savior. So that is taste,

  314. right. What is consumed? Consume what happens when you eat food.

  315. When you eat food, it goes in, it digests, it becomes a

  316. part of you. When Jesus says that he's the bread of life, he

  317. becomes a part of you. You are no longer tasting and seeing. You

  318. say, Jesus, I want you to be the Lord and Savior in my

  319. life. Right, and say, Jesus, you are the bread of life.

  320. I want to partake of you. I want transformation. Transformation comes when

  321. you partake of God and he transforms you from the inside out. That's what

  322. food does, you know, So that's why it is very important for us

  323. is God. Are you just testing and tasting Jesus or are you consuming him?

  324. Is your life consumed by Jesus? Or are you just on the surface.

  325. Whenever I feel like it, I taste, But I can taste everything

  326. else as well, you know. So that's why you say everyone has a

  327. lot. All of us have different appetites. But what are we feeling that

  328. appetite with. If we are filling the appetite with the wrong thing, the

  329. wrong thing will become a part of us. But if we are filling our

  330. appetite with Jesus, then we are becoming more and more are like Jesus.

  331. So that's why it says right, give us this day our daily bread.

  332. Okay, next verse Matthew six. Therefore, I tell you do not worry

  333. about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body

  334. what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body

  335. more than clothes. But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all

  336. this will be given to you. Seek first the Kingdom of God. Don't

  337. worry about food. Most of us are worried about the gift, and we

  338. don't care about the giver. We need to recognize the giver. When we

  339. recognize the giver and acknowledge the giver, the gifts will come. Don't seek

  340. for the gifts, seek the giver. When you seek the giver, this

  341. is he will provide for your every need, you know. So that's why

  342. it's it's key in terms of this. So the Israelites, right, they

  343. ate manner. Right, they ate manner which were from God. But what

  344. the Israelites lives changed? No, they ate manna for forty years, but

  345. they continued to live a life of disobedience because they seek the gift rather than

  346. the giver. If they recognized who was giving them the manner, they might

  347. have been in the Promised Land. So Church encourage us not to seek the

  348. gift, seek the giver, and the gifts will come. All right,

  349. So that is what you need to eat. So what do you need to

  350. eat? Jesus? So it gives you a new perspective of Jesus says that

  351. I'm the bread of life. Right, that gives you a new perspective.

  352. What because usually we're saying Jesus the bread of life, and what does it

  353. mean? You know? So that's that's why I had this revelation to me

  354. that I need to consume Jesus. It needs to be a part of me,

  355. and then then only I can become more like Jesus. Okay, so

  356. this is the last question. What happens when we eat jump food? What

  357. happens when we eat jump food? Become a junkie happy happy, shocks a

  358. deity? Okay. So so I tell you right when I was preparing for

  359. me, it really hit harder because I'm also a foodian. I like food,

  360. and I wouldn't exercise that if I won't grow fat. One. So

  361. the only reason I do all my workout and stuff like that is because you

  362. know I will be like a lot of weight. So I'm like when I'm

  363. doing this, I'm like keep on, like it keeps on like pricking me,

  364. Like hey am I Like why am I eating jump food? Why am

  365. I eating a lot more sugar and stuff like that? Right? So,

  366. like I mentioned, all of us have appetites. What are you feeling your

  367. appetite with? Are you feeling your appetite with Jesus? Or are you feeling

  368. your appetite with everything that is not Jesus? So everything that's not Jesus could

  369. be your fleshly desire, right, okay, so go to the next verse

  370. Matthew four. Then Jesus let by the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted

  371. by the devil, And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was

  372. hungry. The tempter came to him and said, if you are the son

  373. of God, tell these stones to become bread. It is written men shall

  374. not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out from the

  375. world amount of God. Okay, you know this. I think I preach

  376. this a couple of weeks back, and at that time, right I also

  377. was asking, hey, actually, what's wrong with bread? There's nothing wrong

  378. with bread? Right? The devil didn't ask him to do anything wrong.

  379. One you're hungry, then the stone to bread eat la. I mean,

  380. it's not rocket science, okay. But as I was preparing this message right

  381. then it struck me the problem is not with the bread. The problem is

  382. with who is asking and who are you getting your sauce from? Where is

  383. the sauce of your bread? It is not the gift that is the problem,

  384. but the devil is asking God to turn the stone into bread. We

  385. need to listen to God, and sometimes it may be more challenging but it

  386. is the right way. It is the road that is narrow, long and

  387. narrow path. Right, But the devil will always give us shortcuts and a

  388. lot of us right when we want to fulfill our appetites, like what I

  389. mentioned, we eat junk food. So what does junk food do? Junk

  390. food? It probably fills your stomach for a while, but after that,

  391. right, it leaves you feeling worse off. How many of y'all feel like

  392. super energized after you eat jump food? Oh God, all right, I'm

  393. gonna need to find know what jump will you eat? So again? Then?

  394. Um yeah, so don't worry. I'm drawing towards a close Okay,

  395. so it says here right, Um yeah, So the problem wasn't the bread,

  396. but the sauce of the bread, all right. And appetites themselves are

  397. not sinful, but they can become sinful if they are not moderated or directed

  398. by reason and faith. So it is human the desire that we have appetites.

  399. If we don't have appetites, right, we we basically will cease to

  400. exists. Right, all of us have a drive in terms of right,

  401. right, Ah, let me just go to the Okay, Romans the team.

  402. So let us behave decently as in the daytime, not incorruged in darkness,

  403. a carusing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, and not

  404. in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ,

  405. and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. So

  406. the desires of your flesh are the hunger. And if we are eating junk

  407. food, how we would manifest it? Right? It was me in carousing,

  408. in drunkenness, in sexual morality, debauchery, dissension and jealousy, because

  409. right you are feeling that hunger with the wrong kind of food. Okay,

  410. um, okay, So I feel I'm like losing y'all a bit. But

  411. let me let me, let me don't worry. I'm drawing to at the

  412. end. Okay, let me go to the next light. Okay. So

  413. you've got human desires. Okay, human desires are not wrong. So the

  414. human desires you have intimacy, you have desire, you have justice, you

  415. have security, hunger and turns, creativity and sleep. Okay, so this

  416. all of us have the desires? Right? Oh, we all fail hungry

  417. and intersty. All of you all have one a sense of creativity. All

  418. of you all need sleep or you want a sense of security. Right,

  419. So if we eat from sources that are not of God, what happens intimacy?

  420. To fulfill that the desire of intimacy. If we take it from the

  421. wrong source, it goes to last for desire? Where you where you ay?

  422. I want something? Right, It's not wrong to want something, but

  423. if you take it from Ron's sauce, it goes to envy. Justice,

  424. justice is not wrong, but if you are not careful, it will turn

  425. into wrath. Wrath you become so angry you you just want to take revenge

  426. A lot of times? Is that that right? Justice? And so I

  427. want to revenge security. All of us want to be feel secure. But

  428. if you're you want security, that is greed because how much is enough?

  429. It is never enough? Hunger and thirst, gluttony. Are you eating just

  430. enough to survive? Are you you eat to live or live to eat?

  431. You know that's the thing, right, creativity, All of us want to

  432. be recognized. It's is not wrong. But if you have a talent and

  433. you take pride in it instead of giving glory to God. That's what you're

  434. feeling, an appetite. The last one sleep sleep. It's not wrong,

  435. but you want to sleep too much and then become a sloth. So these

  436. are the seven deadly sins. I'm not sure y'all have recognized is the seven

  437. deadly sins? Right? Is? That are different verses along the Bible about

  438. it, and the one in blue or in teal's actually the fruit of the

  439. Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit. If we consume Jesus, we eat

  440. the bread of life, He becomes part of us. Then we will bear

  441. fruit. If we want the bear fruit, you need to consume the right

  442. things. You consume the wrong things, you will bear the deadly sins.

  443. You consume the right things of God, you will bear the fruit of the

  444. Spirit. Man, So did you know that every thirty five days your skin

  445. replaces itself your liver about a month, your body can make these new cells

  446. from the food you eat. What you eat literally becomes you, What you

  447. eat literally becomes you. So, Church, this morning, what are we

  448. eating, even as we ask God give us this day our daily bread?

  449. Are we asking it from the right sauce? Are we consuming the right bread?

  450. Do we want the fruit of the spirit or do we want to live

  451. a life of sin because us. Again, you are what you eat.

  452. It's not said if you eat the right things. You see, right,

  453. there is this sentence, right, it is neutral, It is really neutral.

  454. The choice is yours, the choice is mine. So this, yeah,

  455. this morning even it's give us this day our daily bread. God,

  456. I want to seek you for my sauce. As my sauce, I want

  457. you to fill every appetite, every desire that I have. Again, desire

  458. is not wrong. What do we need to fill that desire with? That

  459. is important? So even as I just draw towards a clothes, right,

  460. I just wanted to leave you with this this story, Ela, So it's

  461. not a personal story, but this is a story that I heard about.

  462. You know the Cherokee Indians. Okay, they're in America. They're one of

  463. the tribes of the Red Indian as well. Okay, So, and old

  464. Cherokee Indian chief who was teaching his grandson about life. He said, a

  465. fight is going on inside of me, he told a young boy, a

  466. fight between the two wolves. The dark one is evil, he is anger,

  467. and we sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self, pity,

  468. guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

  469. He continued, The light wolf is good. He is joy, peace,

  470. love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy,

  471. generosity, fruit, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on

  472. inside grandside and inside of every person on the face of this earth. The

  473. grandson ponders this for a moment. Then he asked Grandfather, wish which wolf

  474. will win? And the old Cherokee smile and simply say the one you feed.

  475. So Church this morning, we have the desires in us, God given

  476. desires. But what are we feeding it? Are we feeding it with us

  477. from the source of life? Oh? Are we feeding it from the flesh?

  478. Are we putting our whole trust and dependence on God? Oh? Are

  479. we wanting convenience? And we want the easy way out? So even it's

  480. the last verse, Since then you have been raised with Christ, set your

  481. hearts on things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

  482. Set your minds on things above and not on earthly things. For you died

  483. and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who

  484. is your life, appears, and then you will also appear with Him in

  485. glory. Put to death therefall whatever belongs to your earthly nature, sexual immorality,

  486. impurity, last heavenly desires and greed, which is idolatry. So how

  487. do we put it to death? Don't feed it. Don't feed it.

  488. Right next slide, derefault. As God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved.

  489. Clothes yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and bear with

  490. each other and forgive one another. If any of you has a grievance against

  491. someone, forgive as the Lord forgave you. And all these virtues. Put

  492. on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. So, Church,

  493. this morning, when we pray, give us this day our daily bread,

  494. remember who we are praying to. That God is a loving father,

  495. that he has a perfect will for us, and that he will supply our

  496. needs according to his riches in glory, the needs that He has placed within

  497. us, the needs that only He can meet. Amen. We hope you've

  498. been blessed by this message. For more information on our church, please visit
