  1. You're listening to a message to go from at church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your tea. So you've got your bibles with you can turn

  3. to extrap the tree. So I have been I have been nudged by this

  4. passage. Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour

  5. of prayer, the ninth hour. Okay, it's about three pm, ninth

  6. hours, about three pm, and a certain man lame from his mother's womb,

  7. was carried whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple, which

  8. is called beautiful Okay, to ask for arms from those who entered the house.

  9. Basically, he's begging, are okay, he's begging who. Seeing Peter

  10. and John about to go into the temple ask for arms, and fixing his

  11. eyes on him with John, Peter said, look at us, you know.

  12. So he came. He gave them his attention, expecting to receive something

  13. from him, from him from them. Then Peter said, silver and gold

  14. I do not have. But what I do have I give you in the

  15. name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Rise up and walk. And he took

  16. him by the right hand and lifted him up and Immediately his feet and ankle

  17. bones received strength. So he lipping up, stood and walked and entered the

  18. temple with them, walking, lipping, praising God. And for those of

  19. you who go to Sunday School, and you'll probably remember the song walking and

  20. lipping and praising God, you heard that before? Some yes, no,

  21. no worries, okay aha. And the people saw him walking and praising God,

  22. then they knew it was he who sat begging arms at the beautiful gate

  23. of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had

  24. happened to him. This line had been stirring in my heart quite recently.

  25. Silver and gold I do not have, But what I do have I give

  26. you such a powerful statement. I got no money to give you. A

  27. sorryer, you're expecting money. I got no money to give you. But

  28. what I have I will give you. Let's dig deeper into this statement.

  29. Okay, So let's learn some things. You know how I like to do

  30. this. Sometimes i'll do a Bible study. You know, I'll make observations.

  31. For those of you who hear me, you're familiar. Okay, So

  32. let's make some observations, and let's see where the Holy spirit will lead us,

  33. so Peter and John, Okay, when to pray on the nine hour?

  34. That's about three pm, nine hour, and it's also the time where

  35. Jesus died. If you read the scripture, Matthew chapter sorry Mark chapter fifteen.

  36. I don't know that actually has it much chapter fifteen. Yeah, at

  37. the nine hour, Jesus cried out with a lot voice. Okay, some

  38. translations will say at three pm. At about three pm, Jesus cried out

  39. with a lot voice, right, and let's let's continue. And some who

  40. stood by when they heard said, look, he's calling for Elijah or so

  41. off topic. Man, it's so interesting how something can be happening but we

  42. can totally miss the point, right, you know, something can be happening

  43. in church, but you can totally miss the point. And so this guy's

  44. totally missed the point. He's not calling for Elijah. Next next he said,

  45. Eli Elima. Oh, Eli means Eli means Elijah. Right. Then

  46. someone ran and filled a sponsoral or someone put it in read off it to

  47. him, saying, let him alone, let us see if Elijah will come

  48. down and take him. Do you know that that is a mockery? He

  49. calling for Elijah, right, I see what Elijah was safe him and Allah.

  50. You know the people actually condemned him to death. You know, they

  51. chose a murderer than Jesus. Right, they did this and they're like,

  52. you know, who's this guy? And Jesus cried with a loud voice and

  53. breathast last and of course this was This is very significant friends, if you

  54. are a Christian, this is the most one of the most important lines in

  55. the Bible that you need to remember, because Jesus died for all. Since

  56. he died, Yes, he rose from the date, but he died,

  57. that is the qualification. If he didn't dire, we will still have to

  58. deal with else since I mean someoneers are still dealing with it. But because

  59. he died, we have redemption through him. Your cash that because he died,

  60. we have redemption through him. So the nine hour, okay, that's

  61. what they went to pray. And as it was a normal practice for the

  62. Jews to be praying three times a day, okay, so they normally pray

  63. on the third hour is at about nine am, on the sixth hour,

  64. which is about twelve pm, and on the ninth hour, which is roughly

  65. about three pm. That's that's how often they pray. They pray three times.

  66. I don't know how often you pray so far. We need and courish

  67. people to do quiet time. So there's probably one time. You know,

  68. I wonder how how often a day we pray. But they did that,

  69. and they if you started the Jews day. They derived that from the life

  70. of David and the life of Daniel. Daniel play prayed a certain time of

  71. the day and they do it at a time. Okay, So they went

  72. to pray on the third hour. It's about eve thing ready, and they

  73. saw the guy and this is when it happened, right, and the lame

  74. man since birth, So try and see if I can give you this.

  75. I think the term is congenital birth defect. I don't know whether any of

  76. you have experienced congenital birth diffact. We have a lot of new parents here.

  77. You probably feel this a little bit more. Imagine the doctor come and

  78. tell you that your kid will be born with a congenital birth effect. An

  79. example of a congenital birth effect is a down syndrome. Right now. Of

  80. course, there are those that are like lame you know, I mean,

  81. we don't know. He didn't specify. They say he was lame. It

  82. means he couldn't walk basically, not lame as in Lama. He didn't like

  83. constantly talk lame jokes and share dead jokes, you know, and make people

  84. go like, man, what's wrong with you? He had a congenital birth

  85. effect since birth. He was like that since birth, you know. And

  86. and the thing about perception, and let me share you something. It's an

  87. important point to me is because you know, when in those days, especially

  88. when it's not so like now we are a bit more well aware about things.

  89. When you have a congenital birth effect, those days are you'll probably be

  90. seen as either your parents died something wrong or you've seen you know. You

  91. know, we are so like superstitious like that, like oh, somebody better,

  92. but no, definitely you've seen la you know. Even now, Christians

  93. still say things like that, which is ridiculous if you think about it.

  94. Just because nothing happened your life doesn't mean that you've seen you've seen anyway,

  95. even if good things happened your life, you're still seeing. You need Jesus.

  96. Okay, very good or bad things happen in your life, so okay,

  97. let me focus on that. So it's quite significant that it happened to

  98. someone. I mean, who knew how he looked like maybe his legs right,

  99. you know, like now you look at me, I can walk,

  100. my legs quite strong, right, imagine this this person had not walked since

  101. birth. No, so probably the legs got no muscle, no strength.

  102. When you look at your life, cannot be like I can I walk?

  103. You know, when we look at this, so we're thinking laymen as in

  104. light like that, right, he can't walk. He had to be carried,

  105. right, a congenital birth effect. Think about it, Think a little

  106. bit about it. That was a situation that they were dealing with. Okay,

  107. and Peter said, look at us, you know, and I don't

  108. know about you, but sometimes as human beings, when we look at congenital

  109. birth, the fact it wasn't something that happened during their life. You know,

  110. I think it will be easier to be if accident happened and then he

  111. gets healed from the accident, but from birth. But God made him that

  112. way. War didn't God say, your forming your mother's womb. Shouldn't you

  113. accept your condition since birth? You're like that? Didn't God make you like

  114. that? You see all these voices in our hates the way we reason it

  115. things, right, Peter say, look at us, how sarcastic is that?

  116. Your money? Right? Look at me? I'm wearying like this now

  117. you look, I do look like a lot of Manila. I don't know

  118. why Peter was wearing that day, but he probably looked like this. Don't

  119. even ask him la, you know, don't bother him, right uh?

  120. And and he said that. And the guy he was so focused on getting

  121. money, he's like, whatever a little bit. Also talk about desperation,

  122. right right? And I tell you the dead line is so powerful. The

  123. response that Peter had was so silver and gold. I don't have, but

  124. what I have I give to you. I don't have money, but I

  125. will give you what I have. Is He didn't even say I don't have

  126. money. I would give you something better than money. You know, sometimes

  127. we think that way. I don't have money. No, he is like,

  128. very nonchalantly, you ask for money, I got no money. Let

  129. me give you what I have. Black. What did Peter have? What

  130. did Peter have? Peter had the Holy Spirit? Okay, let me ask

  131. you all this question now today. Do you have the Holy Spirit? Some

  132. of you here who are believers? You know, you have the Holy Spirit,

  133. right, That's what Peter have right X one. It says, but

  134. you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you

  135. shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem and all Judaea and Semira and to the

  136. end of the earth. That was a promise by gods, by Jesus.

  137. Sorry, Jesus gave that promise and Peter received that. How many of us

  138. here Christians are convinced that we have power? How many are we convinced that

  139. when you see a layman, you can lift up the person and walk.

  140. Uh, maybe you can because your pastor right. But I don't know.

  141. I pray for headache. Maybe I pray in secret. You know, I

  142. don't even there lay hands because I don't know why that I lay hand the

  143. person will die or not. You know, sometimes we have these thoughts.

  144. But didn't you just say you have the Holy Spirit, so then you really

  145. have the Holy Spirit? Not? Okay, I'm not questioning you are.

  146. I believe you have the Holy Spirit? Right? But what makes you so

  147. different from Peter? Right? So let's discover together. Okay. Actually Peter

  148. had an unfair advantage in a way. He had experienced Jesus, he want

  149. Christ. Do you know that this was not the first time that Peter Hill

  150. the sick, Probably not, Probably not the first time. The side he

  151. was so confident he's done it before. Makes sense? Not right, you

  152. make said if you do something before, you will be more confident, correct,

  153. right, right, So so so let's let's study metthew ten five ten.

  154. Okay, probably yeah, so he says, so this cholp des like.

  155. Okay, so I was doing a bit of digging la right, Like,

  156. when did Jesus send them out? Jesus actually did internship with the disciples.

  157. He did internship Methew ten. He did. He said, these child

  158. Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying, do not go in the way

  159. of the gentiles and do not enter the city of Samaritans. So he actually

  160. sent out Chalf Okay, later on in the Bible, if you study,

  161. you realize that he also sent out seventy In Luke chapter ten, he says

  162. that. But then when I dig back Luke chapter nine, he also sent

  163. out the child. So I think he sent out the child first. He

  164. tested them with them first, the ones that believe in him the most.

  165. He tested them first. He sent them out. Okay, to go training,

  166. he said, but go rather to the lost ship of the House of

  167. Israel. So even this so significant, Why why don't go to the Gentiles

  168. Because at that time they were going up myself got to everybody. Right,

  169. No, it was not ready yet. Jesus had to be Jesus had to

  170. be given first to the Jews. Then later on God opened the door to

  171. the Gentiles. So it's very specific the instruction. Right. And as you

  172. go, ah, okay, guys, imagine this. I send you,

  173. I send John, I send Sharon, go go, go out, go

  174. and preach, okay, saying the Kingdom of Heaven is is a hand.

  175. That was jesus job. He came to preach to us that God's kingdom is

  176. a hand. He constantly shares with us. What is God's kingdom all about?

  177. This is how God's kingdom works. This how God's kingdom works. You

  178. know, no around here has been to the Father. I've been to the

  179. Father, so I know who the Father is. And true knowing me,

  180. you will know the Father. Make sense? Not right? It makes sense.

  181. That's why we say only to Jesus you can know God. Nowhere else

  182. you can know God only to Christ because he's the only one that has been

  183. to heaven. None of us have been to heaven. And now he's back

  184. there. But who do we have? We have the Holy Spirit? Okay,

  185. wow, wow, go back, go back, go back. This

  186. is an instruction he gave to this. Imagine Lissa, imagine you're the disciple

  187. La Before this a you have not done anything. Everything Jesus do He healed

  188. the say he raised the day, he do everything. And then he suddenly

  189. say, okay, guys, star is your turn. I sent yourlf out.

  190. Okay, go push the key of Heaver' said, no problem, right

  191. and all if you can do correct, not a bit shilah. Maybe if

  192. you want to go to the streets, oh, God's kin of hand.

  193. But can do right? Can do right? Okay, what's next? Heal

  194. the sick wall can can do not? Comanda from Jesus. Are can do

  195. not? Can La Pray here the sick, pray You've done it before.

  196. Pray from people. Cleanse the lepers. You're not what leapers are right,

  197. it's a skin disease that causts your body. Paths to draw off. He's

  198. getting harder and harder. Guys, raise the date, cast out demons,

  199. is after race the day. It means it's easier to race the day than

  200. cast out demons. I pray none of you here have demons freely. You

  201. have received, freely give God. It is god'swetter. It's not passing sweater.

  202. Do you say a holy spirit? You're not sure? Now, I

  203. don't know. It's getting It's scary. Heal the sick class levels race the

  204. day, cast out demons freely, you have received, freely give. Let

  205. me let me stay on this line a little bit. We live in a

  206. day and age today that is all about me, myself and I, how

  207. I feel, what I like, what I want. When it comes to

  208. church, it's the same thing, right. It's a chest comfortable enough,

  209. it's the music nice enough. See's nothing wrong with that, guys. But

  210. what is the focal point? Because when you see this, it says freely

  211. you have received, freely give a lot of us here, a lot of

  212. Yes, there's a reality, nor my heart. A lot of us here.

  213. We have freely received a lot of things. But have we given it

  214. out? Think about it. It's God's words, not my weather. We

  215. have freely received. God has blessed us. We have experienced him. But

  216. ever we give it. I am not talking about giving him church. Don't

  217. get me wrong. He didn't ask them to go and do all these things

  218. and give to Church. No, he asked them to do all these things

  219. and give because as you have freely received from God, freely give from God.

  220. Have you freely received the love of Christ? Have you have you given

  221. the love of Christ. It's not just for the leaders. Everyone here we

  222. are involved in this. It's so powerful. Freely received, freely give,

  223. freely received, freely give. Go next whoa provide neither gold nor silver nor

  224. copper in your money bells. I was joking just now, well, joke

  225. nor job. That is easier to cast out demons than don't take money with

  226. you. I don't know you. You probably didn't get that. He's the

  227. sea climbs the lepers, raise the date right and then cast out demons.

  228. Don't bring money, Okay, okay, John. When you go out there

  229. and do ministry, don't bring money out. Don't bring your credit card.

  230. It's probably harder. It's actually you think about it, and it might be

  231. easier to pray for healinger. Then don't bring money if you and go out

  232. and trust God that he'll provide everything. This is probably harder if you think

  233. about it. I don't know. I don't know. I feel I feel

  234. it's harder maybe something, don't know, very easier now you know, raise

  235. it more harder than this. Not back in your journey, not too tu

  236. niques, no sandals, no stuffs. For a worker, it's worthy of

  237. his food. So Peter had experience. That's why he was so confident.

  238. Peter is so confident. Don't you think he was so confident? Sorryer money

  239. and go. I don't have boss, we don't take money, but I

  240. give you this. Did the guy who was lame asked for it? No,

  241. he said, I don't have you asking for something, right, I

  242. don't have all these things that you want. But let me give you something.

  243. Let me get something whatever I have. Like it's not even let me

  244. give you what you want. It's like, let me give you what I

  245. have. And the guy's life was forever change he had, he had,

  246. he had internship. Right, why is it important? Okay, friends,

  247. I know I'm giving you all this, like heal the sick and all.

  248. Let me give you a statement. Someone us here have been believers for a

  249. very long time. Have we experienced God's reality in our lives to the point

  250. that we can be confident when we're praying for someone who's sick. It's not

  251. about the amount of time. You know. Peter was a man who was

  252. a fisherman, uneducated. He was transformed by working with Christ. You know,

  253. he rejected God. He was the most temperamental person that you ever know,

  254. right if the gospels, and it's interesting, the three Gospels, right

  255. in the first three Gospels actually said one of the disciples retaliated when the Romans

  256. so just came to take Jesus at the God of semony, right that that's

  257. you know, Jesus was taken away so that he can be trauma. It

  258. is for Touma. He had to do this. But one of the disciples

  259. I decided to go and you know, challenge and you know what happened was

  260. he cut off one of the soldiers. Yeah, so Matthew, Mark and

  261. Luke didn't say who this is, but John said he was Peter. So

  262. I'm thinking John and Peter probably got some beef going online. What he expeciitly,

  263. you know, it's so funny. I'm like thinking, Okay, that's

  264. very interesting. So he's so temperamental, right, Jesus really say, hey,

  265. guys, I'm not gonna be with you. I'm gonna be you know,

  266. I'm gonna be crucified. This is gonna happen. He thought everything,

  267. and Peter can steal like, no, I'll defend you, you know.

  268. And Jesus had to hear. I can just imagine Jesus, they're like,

  269. you know, not actingly say about like Peter, can you please wait here?

  270. He take that year he healed the guy. He said, chill,

  271. bro chill. That's what Jesus did. He told that. He didn't say

  272. well done, Peter. Peter, sty're trying to impress Jesus. No,

  273. such a temperamental guy, right, brash, temperamental you know, right.

  274. But he walked with Christ right. He was the only one that there want

  275. on water for half away Ela. He started looking at his problems and like,

  276. oh, no, what have I done? You know montatop experience that

  277. later realized what have I done? Thank God Jesus came and saved him.

  278. He betrayed Jesus. He rejected him three times. Have you rejected Jesus before?

  279. Have you rejected God? Asking him to do something? No God better

  280. than note God restored him. Jesus said on destruct I will be my church

  281. friends. This tells me it's not about how perfect you are. It's not

  282. about how perfect you are. It's not it's not about how oh I know,

  283. I got so many in mind. But it does talk about experience.

  284. Have you worked we've got have you worked with Christ in your life? Or

  285. are you relying on other people? No? Friends, you what we've got,

  286. then you can be. Then you can confidently say I'm so sorry,

  287. brother, I'm so sorry, sister. I don't have all this, but

  288. I know what I have. I have the Holy Spirit. This I give

  289. to you because freely, as I receive God's mercies on my life, freely

  290. I can give. And it's not my power but God's power. Amen.

  291. So it's powerful. It's powerful. You think about Peter, he's not the

  292. most perfect person in the world. In fact, if you, if you,

  293. if you study further, this whole gentile thinger he also like at first,

  294. it's you know, imaginer, I can be as confiusd aster. So

  295. you think about it. We read just nowt in is it March Chetter.

  296. Then Jesus said, don't go to the gentiles. So Peter was being obedient.

  297. So when Jesus said go therefore to all Judaea Samaria, Peter probably still

  298. thinking on need juice only. That's why God had to appear in the dream

  299. and say hello, things that I made clean, don't say I clean.

  300. Then it opened up the door in the church for those that are not juice

  301. to come, right, That's what happened right even after that, Now Peter

  302. also got issues. I don't know that you know, you're gonna study yourself

  303. like I'm just giving you a bit of drama, Bible drama. And where

  304. where where where there were where in the church there were gans, Gentiles and

  305. Jews separately. And when Peter come or big time, right Peter or the

  306. guy. That's what Jesus kma imagine. Can I use myself? Imagine I

  307. come to Xbu R and then you've got those that are from Xbu for very

  308. long ready, and then those that are newer that I only hang out with

  309. the very long people in Xbu. I don't even talk to those that are

  310. new That's what happened with Peter. He didn't talk to the gentiles because no,

  311. and no, no, actually not that he he talked to the So

  312. let's say I talked to the new people like, hey, that's not okay,

  313. but hey, you know, and then later Sharon's an they come then

  314. sorry, sorry, I don't know you read that I talk to Sharon.

  315. That's what happened in the Bible. Look at how messed up he is.

  316. This is God says you know, but he can make mistakes of that.

  317. You know who had to rebuke him? Paul had to say, brother,

  318. why are when when you know the Jews are not here just because you you

  319. think we're big time? Suddenly you you know, you don't know it mixed.

  320. Jesus has really died for since it's not about whether you're circumcised or I'm

  321. circumcised. All are read, All who received Jesus are in the faith.

  322. There arela Srila. Hey, a lot of gads for someone like Paul to

  323. speak up against the quote unquote pastor. I'm not asking you all do that

  324. to me here, but you get what you mean, right, I'm talking

  325. about bitter here. This guy who preached and three thousand was safe, big

  326. timer. Let's study someone amen in Jesus' name. Do you realize he said

  327. silver and gold I do not have, but this I give to you the

  328. first thing you say in Jesus' name? Get up. What is the significance

  329. of Jesus' name? I hope I can do justice to sharing this with you.

  330. You know, the name of Jesus is very powerful. Some of us

  331. here probably only say in Jesus name when we're saying grace, not realizing how

  332. powerful that name it really is. That's the reality. I'm just being honest.

  333. But do you know that Jesus is very powerful? It's not a swear

  334. word, no, guys. Hollywood has made it a swear. Hollywood has

  335. made it you know. Oh it's cool to say things like that. Guys,

  336. do you know how degrading that is? Do you know how the world

  337. is trying to twist the name of Jesus John fourteen Shaw fourteen says, most

  338. assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in me, hold on,

  339. let me check to most of you here believe in Jesus God. Right,

  340. you're believe in Jesus, right, okay, okay, believe okay,

  341. the works that I do, he will do. Also, this is a

  342. promiser. You believe in Jesus right means whatever that Jesus did before you also

  343. do it in fact, greater works than this he will do. Jesus trying

  344. to tell you, if you believe in him, you won't just do the

  345. works that He's done. You will do things that are greater because I go

  346. to my Father, because it's not here day who is here the Holy Spirit.

  347. And whatever you ask in my name see not just doing it. No,

  348. whatever you ask in my name that I will do that the Father may

  349. be glorified in the sun. If you ask anything in my name, I

  350. will do it. If you ask anything in my name, I will do

  351. it. John fifteen sixteen says, do not choose me, but I chose

  352. you and appointed you that you should go and bad food, that your food

  353. should remain. That whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may

  354. give you very important. Not Desi's not just thanking Jesus for the food.

  355. You're not asking anything but praying in Jesus name is asking in Jesus name to

  356. who to the Father John sixteen, twenty three, twenty four. And in

  357. that day you will ask me nothing. How many of us here have not

  358. asked God anything? Yet, most assuredly I say to you, whatever you

  359. ask the Father in my name, he will give you until now you have

  360. asked nothing in my name. Ask and you will receive that your joy may

  361. be full. Friends, are you going through a mental health issue? Are

  362. you said, are you depressed? Please ask in Jesus name that your joy

  363. may be full. It is God's truth in his word. We believe it.

  364. Believe me. He's not hearing and like, oh, you know,

  365. it is the truth of God. Let's operate in the truth of God.

  366. Amen. So Peter acted in faith. He did, okay, he took

  367. the lameman by his right hand and lifting up. You might mentioned to you

  368. again, I cannot imagine how the layman would look like. But every time

  369. I read this, I remember I used to think like, oh, you

  370. know, maybe he looks normal and then he's just limping la. But actually,

  371. if you read it, you're like congent and the al a birth the

  372. fact that it's quite bad or now, so probably he might not even look

  373. like how I'm looking right now. Maybe his legs are is like thin until

  374. born because never used for years. You know, what's the word we use,

  375. muscular distrophy or something like that. So he's in that situation, right

  376. that layman is in that situation where you look. Also, you know,

  377. cannot stand up. How much faith does Peter have that he can hold his

  378. hand and pull him up. Okay, don't follow you, no follow ever.

  379. Brother. You're seeing you take care of your wife and kid. But

  380. you think about it so much. Faith Right, he just went and pulled

  381. him up. He just went and pulled him up, and then strength went

  382. to his bones, so immediately there was healing and then he stood right.

  383. The man was seking for arms, but he received something greater than that.

  384. You know, people who knew the man, he probably said that every day.

  385. They were amazed. He probably said that every day every day he was

  386. there. But they were amazed. They were amazed because they knew this guy

  387. and what happened. Normala. They run to Peter and johnnah, because they

  388. were the one that created. No, you know how much we can miss

  389. the point. Sometimes you run to men. But the cool thing was bitter

  390. directed directed them to God, because God is glorified X three thirteen sixteen says

  391. the God of Abraham Isaac Jacob, the God of our father's glorified. He

  392. serving Jesus whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilot when he

  393. was determined to let him go. But you denied the Holy One and the

  394. Just and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and killed the

  395. Prince of life, whom God raised from the date of which we are witnesses,

  396. and his name, true faith in his name has made this man strong,

  397. whom you see and know, Yes, the faith which comes through him

  398. has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. What was

  399. Peter talking about? He was talking about current events X three didn't happen too

  400. far off from when Jesus was crucified. It probably happened, like, I

  401. don't know, maybe a goal two months ago, so it was still fresh

  402. and it was current news, you know. It was something that happened in

  403. the sphere at that time. Peter was brave to share what was happening.

  404. How the people rejected Jesus, how they were ignorant, but now they have

  405. a second chance. Isn't it amazing the people that rejected Jesus, that rather

  406. asked the government to release a murderer, have a second child to receive him.

  407. How wonderful God's grace is that some of you here today. You might

  408. need a second chance, You might need Today's message not about whacking you to

  409. say you're not doing well now. Today is just telling you that, hey,

  410. you know, if you've not realized how powerful this faith that you have

  411. is, take that second chance. In my own life, I've experienced many

  412. second chances by God, time and time again. Time where I feel like

  413. I want to give up, time where I feel like it's tough. God

  414. has given me many many second chances. He is so gracious, He's so

  415. wonderful. All you need to do is come to him and say, Lord,

  416. I'm so sorry, Can you please forgive me? Lord? I want

  417. to submit, Lord, I've messed up. You know. We chase after

  418. things we want, but a lot of times, to be really honest with

  419. you, guys, a lot of things you want might destroy you. Just

  420. because you feel it's good, just because it feels good doesn't mean it's good

  421. for you. A lot of junk food in your life feels good, but

  422. I think a lot it's not a good idea. It's a very bad example.

  423. So we got to be careful with what we yearn for. You know,

  424. and yes, you know this is the thing that I realized, So

  425. that maybe we don't hear much. The Bible says The journey to eternal life

  426. is straight and narrow, narrow, no few will find it. Friends,

  427. those of you who believe in Jesus, can I tell you something. It's

  428. not going to be easy. It's not going to be easy. You yearn

  429. for comfort, you yearn for all these things. But our faith is not

  430. something that comes easy. Don't know that, because if not, then you

  431. will come to this place where you only look for comfort. Only look for

  432. things that feel good, feel goodeel good. Everything feels good very dangerous.

  433. Now, don't just feel good, feel fulfilled. Don't just feel good,

  434. feel fulfilled. It's not fun being a parent. Feels good or not.

  435. John bise for feeling. He's painful. Bye for feeling, because his joy

  436. comes in the morning. Amen. So friends, yes, they rejected Jesus,

  437. but they have for a second chance. He's okay. If you rejected

  438. Jesus before this, today's a second chance. Amen. Peter, preach and

  439. witness. After this miracle, he became a witness. He literally born witness.

  440. This is what happened to Jesus. This is what happened to him,

  441. This is what he did right. And he went to seal the deal he

  442. knew he had their attention is very, very strategic. Don't you think something

  443. crazy happened? You know? X three nineteen says repent therefore and become converted,

  444. that your sins may be blotted out, so that the times of refreshing

  445. may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send Jesus

  446. Christ, who has preached to you before. Friends, friends, friends,

  447. Your sins may be blotted down so that the time of refreshing. How many

  448. of you here today need a time of refreshing? Only true God that time

  449. of refreshing can come. But you've got to be humble and open your heart

  450. to him. If you continue to be hard, continue to like put my

  451. hands here and don't the time refreshing is not gonna come. Not because Jesus

  452. is not here, No, because you've got to embrace him. Amen.

  453. X three twenty six says to you, first, God, having raised up

  454. his serving Jesus, send him to bless you in turning away every one of

  455. you from your iniquities. Peter was very clear with his mission. He remembered,

  456. he remembered the commission that Christ has given to them. Meant you nineteen

  457. twenty go there for me, Disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in

  458. the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, teaching them

  459. to observe all things I've commanded you, and low I'm with you always,

  460. even to the end of the age. Amen. Two sentences, two verses

  461. in the Bible. So much weight? What am I trying to do here?

  462. I'm trying to teach you to observe what Jesus has commanded you. Is

  463. it easy? Nope, but it's the Bible. Oh, but then we

  464. need to be more accepting. Right, we need to embrace everybody. Right.

  465. Yes, someone asked me recently, you know what we receive people from

  466. alternative lifestyle. I told the person, I said, hold on before I

  467. answer you, because I knew where the question was coming from. I said,

  468. before I answer you, there's two parts to this answer. One is

  469. the Church will never turn anyone away. You agree with me, the Church

  470. of Jesus Christ, and this is a conviction that we have. We will

  471. never turn anyone away. But that doesn't mean we won't disciple. The person

  472. get called that we will never turn anyone away. But you've got to remember

  473. that Jesus asked us to teach them to observe all things that He has commanded

  474. means the Bible is our yard stick. You know, guys, we will

  475. accept, we will love, But if the lifestyle doesn't go under subjection to

  476. Christ, then it's going to be hard. Desy. I told the person

  477. here, I said, we will accept, we will accept one, we

  478. will love the person, but you also need to the person needs to be

  479. ready to be disciple because when you follow Christ, you have to be disciples.

  480. You'll catch that or not. You can all like, Okay, I

  481. come to church, I follow Christ. He happy and that's it. You

  482. know, then there's no transformation. Then you just get all the nice goose

  483. bumps feeling. But the reality is we are all disciples because we have to

  484. grow in the spirit. We have to learn. There are things that you

  485. do in your life that feels good that it's not good for you. That's

  486. the reality. But we mix things together. Nola, you cannot accept the

  487. lifestyle means you cannot accept me. That's not true. Let's not be deceived

  488. by this world. But we're clear on our commission. We have to wear

  489. clear Christians because the world out there is teaching all kind of funny things.

  490. Nola. Let's open, open, open, let's be relevant, relevant and

  491. relevant, not knowing that the more relevant you become a the more you don't

  492. know like Jesus. Know, do you know that all of us follow Jesus

  493. have to look more and more like him. When I say that, I'm

  494. not saying growl, young God. We're like why I'm wearing now? You

  495. know? You know, carry a lamb everywhere? You know your thinking about

  496. that, right Jesus. Every time you google Jesus his picture of him holding

  497. a lamb. No, it's the inside, it's the growth in our faith.

  498. It's the wow your moth forgiving now, you know, I think,

  499. can I be honest, I'm just gonna use this brother because I know him

  500. very well. I think John has changed quite a bit ever since he come

  501. to Xbu. I also think that John has changed a lot after becoming father,

  502. more loving and carrying more fatherly you all right, you see, I'm

  503. not saying it to whack him, you know, last time, But it

  504. is something I've experienced myself that when you follow Christ, you will be transformed.

  505. You will to be transformed. And that's the beauty of discipleship. So

  506. let's not be deceived, but let's be disciples let's grow in the church.

  507. Let's love people, but let's also spraish. I don't want to say,

  508. hey, let's believe in bigger things. Amen. So yes, Peter was

  509. very clear on his commission, very clear. How many of us can be

  510. clear. I pray we will be when things happen. Now, it's not

  511. just so that we can just praise the Lord halliway, No, It's like,

  512. hey, this guy needs to know Jesus. This person needs to know

  513. Jesus. Because it's very clear except I one it power. You will received

  514. to be witnesses for who Christ, not any other thing. Amen. So

  515. I'm I'm ending soon. So let's learn some key things from this encounter.

  516. Okay, you guys, Okay. Number one, God can do miracles at

  517. the most mundane of situations. ConA, it was just someone asking for money

  518. outside the temple and there was a miracle, and then you know, the

  519. Holy Spirit move and then he preached everything happens for a reason, especially if

  520. you're walking with the Holy Spirit. Let me give you this example to explain

  521. this. You look at that what happened, it happened for a reason.

  522. It looked like it just happened. And I think in a way it kind

  523. of just happened now. But if you work with Christ strong enough, you

  524. okay, if you look back at your life, okay, I prayed that

  525. most of you can can relate to this, you will realize that there are

  526. different experiences in your life that you cannot understand why it happened. Right,

  527. But then now some of these experiences, right now, you know why it

  528. happened. You get what I mean, like it happened, but then you're

  529. like, why is it like that? And then you don't really think about

  530. it, and then later you're like, wow, lord, you know if

  531. you talk to people right who who? What we've got there? Okay,

  532. I have to clarify that lie. Not every war god just because they call

  533. them circration, don't know whether they were gone. But we talk to people

  534. what we've got a lot of their life are sound like drama, movie drama

  535. and very coincidental and right. I think West has shared a few times every

  536. time he shot like WHOA so drama, so dramatic, so divine the appointment,

  537. so like if you didn't go the timeline, this didn't happen. Now

  538. that it wouldn't happen. Let me tell you what's that that's God, because

  539. everything happens for a reason, Because when you're walking with Christ, everything happens

  540. for a reason. And that is something I constantly see happened. Even Xbu.

  541. Do you know Xbu wasn't supposed to be call Xbu. He was supposed

  542. to be ex Kota Damasara, but we couldn't find a venue and we ended

  543. up here and then we decided to put xbu. Do you know I just

  544. give you some on XBO since you're talking about it now, do you know

  545. that I didn't actually understood why it was pasted Steven planting Xbu. There was

  546. no reason why he was the one, because he was in central. I

  547. thought a PJ person in XBJ well planned. Okay, Sharon's thank god Sharon.

  548. But you know I thought they will be the one. It makes sense

  549. to human, but God knew better because if it was and again I'm just

  550. assuming, Okay, I'm not saying this is gonna happen. If it was

  551. a sage Kota Damasara student who became awaya who decided to say I will lead

  552. this to plan and then we say time to change your Xbu, the person

  553. might not want to continue because there's a lot of personal stick in the place

  554. and the name, but to pass the Steven there was no stick. Was

  555. just got on a blanchache. To me, he was as simple as got

  556. on a blanchiche. Can't plan anywhere. And you look at Xbo, now

  557. look at the people that are here. We obeyed God and it happened.

  558. So a lot of times, right, we don't understand why one for six

  559. months, men passes even scratching hit. Why cannot find venue in quota Damansara?

  560. Will we one day planning? Maybe? Okay? Who knows? Maybe

  561. xbu or plan quota Damansarah. Okay, I'm praying, okay, But but

  562. who knows? In the future. We don't know. Only God knows.

  563. So you got to remember, guys, everything happens for a reason in your

  564. own life, especially if you walk with Christ. So you got to be

  565. sensitive because you might miss it. The people that say Jesus calling Elijah totally

  566. missed it. They thought they had a field day, but they totally missed

  567. it. The significance of Christ's death was that the veil was torn. There

  568. was no longer a separation between holy and everyone. You know, Jesus said,

  569. one day there will be worship us that will worship me in spirit?

  570. In truth? Do you know that it's possible for us to do that today

  571. because he said He's no longer going to be Because that's what the Samaritan woman

  572. say. You know, do you look at the temple last day? To

  573. do that, they have to face the temple because that's where God's presence is.

  574. So they are worshiping them night. You know you cannoterstand for now.

  575. We believe because of Jesus Christ, God's presence can be anywhere. We can

  576. worship anywhere. How convenient is that for us? But sometimes we take that

  577. convenience for granted. We should be thankful that we can worship in spirit truth

  578. that when you worship at home, when you worship in your car, when

  579. you call for God, his presence can come wherever you're at. That's why

  580. believe in right going, because the Holy Spirit is there. Amen. People

  581. who might not believe or expect it can be blessed and have their lives changed

  582. because of our obedience to God. How powerful is that statement? Because of

  583. your obedience to God, someone's life can change. Do you know, let

  584. me and phrase it properly. Do you know when someone else's life change.

  585. You won't feel anything one maybe you feel happy for the persona, but do

  586. you it's any normal day, you know, because not your life change or

  587. does that make sense to you someone else life change? Oh, thank you

  588. so much to me, And you're like, sorry, I also don't remember

  589. what I said. No, I give you this example. So I think

  590. we were talking in homes We were talking about how to know God's will for

  591. your life. I think something to the effect was ver hyppie topic and we

  592. were talking and then on my homie, you know, she she's joined she's

  593. joined the nets. Now, she just joined the nets, uh, and

  594. she's doing a lot of crazy things because she came at the right time.

  595. They're going out to schools. They're doing Succi prevention training with the schools,

  596. you know, and she was passionate about training. And then now they're actually

  597. organizing the first ever mental health awareness fair in Daylor's okay, they're doing in

  598. October and she's very involved in that. And I remember as you're talking about

  599. this, and she gave this example. She said, you know, you

  600. know, I'm experiencing all these great things right now in my life, and

  601. I want to thank pass Elvin Force for encouraging me to join that. In

  602. my mind, I'm like, I don't know what the heck I told her.

  603. She said, we had this conversation, this comversation, this conversation,

  604. and in my mind, I'm like, I don't remember that conversation. I

  605. don't remember I told him. I'm like, okay, great to me.

  606. I it's like, okay, great that you are experiencing this. Why I'm

  607. like, okay, l Again, I'm not saying I'm the best person.

  608. I'll just give you an example. And I find very interesting because I have

  609. a lot of this guy experience where I really don't know what I told the

  610. person, but apparently the person's I've changed are so okay, great, Like

  611. God, wait, will you give me the life change? You know?

  612. But yeah, that's the wonderful thing. So, friends, can I encourage

  613. you to be obedient to God? You might change someone's time and you don't

  614. even realize it. But you got what we've got imn oh and this so

  615. we think we might not have anything to give those in need, but actually

  616. you do have something, friends, you do have something. Even say you

  617. do have something, you do have something, and he's not money. I

  618. don't worry I'm not saying okay, now we open offering. No, you

  619. have something to give, you do more. Importantly, we need to know

  620. who our God is. We need to work with Christ and experience his reality

  621. in our lives so that we can have the confidence to be witnesses to Him.

  622. People who experience God know who their God is. People who we've got

  623. no, are you in this place where you want to experience him? Have

  624. just been a checklist that you take every morning, every Sunday, it's your

  625. quiet time. Just okay, La, My teacher said, I you do.

  626. My father said, I just do, La. But there's no experience,

  627. no reality of God. Friends, can I encourage you to ask for

  628. God to move in your life? Because think about it now. I know

  629. we went through the healer saying and holler. If you have prayed for someone

  630. with cancer and the person is healed, the next time we have a person

  631. with cancer come up, you will definitely pray for the person, believing the

  632. person canna get here. You know why because you have experienced it before.

  633. That's the power about experience. That's why Peter was so confident. How can

  634. you get confident? You got to do it? Lat Oh No, only

  635. Victor. Can you know of Couse or only John? No, guys,

  636. you have to do it. When got opportunity, do it. Pray for

  637. someone this week, right happened, will happen, nothing to do with you.

  638. Let God be the one. But when it really happens, you'll be

  639. encouraged by God. You use these hands. This is powerful. He's not

  640. your hands, like okay, but you know what I mean. I hope

  641. you don't become that way. We have the confidence to be witnessed. Peter

  642. knew how to keep the main thing, the main thing, which was not

  643. the healing. He was not the healing, but the discipling and witnessing to

  644. spur people to accept Cristi as their savior. Think about it, how many

  645. people that day, not the one that you know, was healed. Yes,

  646. his life was definitely transformed, and I'm sure after that he'll believe.

  647. But how many else other people would have experienced God after they believe? We

  648. never know, no, because it's not not mentioned. But I think if

  649. we ask around here, if we talk to different people, we know when

  650. someone has experienced God, how their life has changed. Amen. Peter was

  651. focused and clear on the mission. Friends, We need to be focused and

  652. clear on the mission? Are we clear on what we have in our hands

  653. today? Let me let me give you this other extra bonus because just now

  654. sharing and it came to me. Can you can you flip to or more

  655. like show Matthew twenty eight verse seventeen. I chance upon this verse when I

  656. was reading Matthew twenty eight, because normally we focus on twenty eight verse ninety.

  657. But isn't it interesting? Right before Jesus gave them the last commission,

  658. the most important commission ever for Christians, there's this line when they saw him,

  659. they worship him, but some doubted. Some of you here today will

  660. probably be doubting me. Well, don't you doubt me? Like, okay,

  661. doubt me is fine, don't doubt god'swort. You'll probably be doubting godswort.

  662. You'll be like, sure, No, I've heard this message so many

  663. times. You know, you want to know the cool thing about Christ?

  664. You know who else was doubting or or who else doubta in the Bible?

  665. Thomas he had the nickname Thomas the Doctor. Imagine being one of Jesus's life

  666. first having such a nickname super skeptic. Right, you know what happened.

  667. He actually say, huh, Jesus rose from the data, show me,

  668. show me the money, show me Jesus actually appear in round and say and

  669. look, say look at my hands. Believe or not? Some of you

  670. here your doubting. It's okay. Jesus is going to appear in front of

  671. you and show you his hands. That's the wonderful thing about God. Can

  672. I give you another example of this? That's why you know. I'm not

  673. sharing this so that you don't you better? You better. No, I'm

  674. not saying even if you doubt the word of God is true, even if

  675. you may not fully believe that thing is not not believing. You know.

  676. That's the difference that doubt things like I want to believe, but I don't

  677. know sure not right. Gyrus approached Christ asked him to come and save his

  678. daughter who was dying. Not they yet dying. Jesus got interrupted by the

  679. woman who had the issue of blood. Spend so much time there by the

  680. time he raiched the house Diarity and everyone else. I don't know that you've

  681. explained. Everyone else, the people around you, the people closest to Gyrus,

  682. everyone say I, ah, don't you know with Jesus time, Lah,

  683. don't bother him? Ready, Li she die? Ready La send him

  684. back like he cannot do anything? Ready Lah. And Jesus took it and

  685. say do you still believe? And Jiro's was like, Lord, help me

  686. with my unbelief. It's hecking, Lord, it's checking because think about it.

  687. When I went and take Jesus, she's still alive, a sick.

  688. I know he can do it because I've heard it. But now, diary,

  689. do you know that's what people say. Jesus even said, don't worry,

  690. she's still sleeping. Why did he say that? Is she really sleeping?

  691. Well you can go into terminology, but I feel like this is just

  692. trying and comfort the Father. Do you know that Christ said he sent everybody

  693. out except him some of his effort and the Father. I think you know

  694. why, because everyone else there would have like, no, so much unbelief.

  695. Right. So, friends, if you're doubting, if you're in a

  696. place where everyone around you is saying no, cannot do, not possible,

  697. This Jesus is not real. You got to block off all the noise.

  698. You got to block off all the noise. You got to say you know

  699. what God, and you got to help me because I believe in a God

  700. that can do the impossible. But sometimes we get affected by everything. Don't

  701. just talk about voices, the market, your situation, your circumstances. It

  702. is always a challenge. But can I testify to you today that God can,

  703. Christ can. What is your situation today that you need him to touch?

  704. What is your situation today in your life? Maybe you don't have a

  705. dramatic life, maybe it's very simple, maybe, but what is that that

  706. thing in your life that you know you need God to touch that will cause

  707. you to change, that will cause you to transform, that will cause you

  708. out to have the confidence that know that my God is real. I've experienced

  709. it that I'm so confidently sharing you here. How about you? It's not

  710. just for me, this for everyone, Because freely as I have received,

  711. I want to freely give, freely as you have received. Do you know

  712. that there will be people in your life that would really need you to give?

  713. They will, They will have no answer unless you wake up and tell

  714. them who Jesus is. If not, they will continue to suffer. That's

  715. the reality of where we live today. Amen, we hope you've been blessed

  716. by this message. For more information on our church, please visit as church
