You're listening to a message to go from AXTS church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. I'm entitled this morning sharing, staying the course
-
and preparing. Well. Okay, so you know, if I were to
-
ask you, uh, do you have or would you know other names that
-
you would call like Jesus has other names to his name Jesus. We also
-
Jesus, right, amen, but there are other names that us are also
-
used to uh have to call him? What this? Or well to describe
-
him? Can you think of any bread of life? You just studied on
-
the Bread of life? Yes, yes, any anything else that comes to
-
mind? Yeah, so I'm not man, what else? Good? Share?
-
Put? Oh? God with us? Amen? So many right right
-
morning star? The Alpha and Omega man? Wow? Yeahweh So there's so
-
many and you know it just God is so big, right and this is
-
our privilege to know the Lord. So I wanted to share with you some
-
other names that I found out. Well, I read in the Book of
-
Revelation, and I'm sure you know this too, So I just give you
-
two verses Revelation chapter three and verse fourteen, Revelations three and fourteen, and
-
this was now this of course this passage is was the Lord, you know,
-
the apostle John on the island of Patmus. He was there, like
-
you know, yours his jail lot, and they just threw him there because
-
he was a follower of Christ. So they just threw him there, you
-
know, like you just go and waste the way. But the Lord was
-
speaking to him, and he wrote the Book of Revelation. And so this
-
chapter, chapter three was actually the concern on the church in Laodisha, all
-
right, the lukewarm church. But I'm not going to talk about that today.
-
I just want to look at this verse. Is this versus these things?
-
Says the Amen, the faithful and true witness the beginning of the creation
-
of God. Wow, so many names the Amen. So every time you
-
say amen, you're actually saying the Lord Amen. It's so important to open
-
your mouth and say amen la when people pray amen amen nah, why because
-
he's the Amen. Hallelujah. Sometimes you know, if you're so tired or
-
we're just like bothered about we always say amen, say amen Amen because that's
-
the name of the Lord as well, like a description of him. The
-
Amen. All right, and then faithful, he's the faithful and true witness.
-
He comes riding on the white horse. If you were playing racist,
-
ah, you would want to bet on the white horse. JA. But
-
we are not la. But anyway, Jesus comes riding on the white horse.
-
Okay. And this is the one who sits on the white horse,
-
the Amen, the faithful, and the true witness, the beginning of the
-
creation of God. This is Jesus, whoa all right white horse comes in
-
Revelations chapter nineteen, verse eleven and twelve. I think, and it says,
-
now I saw heaven open, and we hold a white horse. He
-
who sat on him was called faithful and true, and his name is called
-
the Word of God. Wow. You know this is just a portion of
-
the name of God, the name of God, or the name that we
-
would describe Jesus. So I and all of us want to be like Jesus.
-
Min a right. We are all followers of Christ. We follow Christ
-
and be like Jesus. So one of the qualities I see here that we
-
want to develop and grow is faithful. Because my Master is faithful as his
-
disciple, I too want to be faithful. Amen, and he's true.
-
I can't be the Word of God love because Jesus the way of God.
-
But the Word of God lives in me and in you. Hallelujah. Jesus
-
lives in me and in you. So to two of these these these words
-
faithful, the true witness, the Word of God. Wow, that name
-
and as and and so as I looked at that name, we see that
-
you know that that this is our Jesus. He's faithful. And I think,
-
bloom, the theme is God is faithful. If you saw that just
-
now, God is faithful. Amen. Oh my goodness, you are not
-
alive, are we in ex church? You are so dead because I'm here
-
today. You are so dead? Why? Because I cannot let you keep
-
quiet? On? You make noise, makes our noise? All right?
-
Yeah, all right? Our God is faithful, hallelujah. Amen. And
-
you're gonna be talking about that at bloom and we we and adverse. They
-
taken it out from his second Timate to thirteen. If you were to read
-
this, it says that you know, we might be faithless, but the
-
Lord is faithful because he cannot deny himself. I'm you grateful for that.
-
Wow. If we all are faithless and I let you down, and sorry,
-
Eric and Cheryl, we let Chloe down one day. But the Lord
-
is faithful, he will guide Chloe. Because we are a man, sometimes
-
we will slip and yo, sometimes I'm faithless. But the Lord is faithful.
-
Amen. So we want to look at this faithful. So it's one
-
very clear quality of Jesus that he is faithful. Amen. And right from
-
the beginning till the day he returns, he remains as the faithful one,
-
the true Witness, the living Word, the beginning the end. He is
-
our creator, harleelujas. So what does it mean for us? What does
-
it mean for us if he is faithful? And so as I was reading
-
there, and as I'm going through the Book of Revelations slowly slowly, I
-
haven't gone and done big studies. I'm just reading it through again. This
-
is many times I've read. So this is another time and this is what
-
I spotted, and I wanted to bring it forward to us and to share
-
this with the church. Okay, So in Revelations thirteen, I think I
-
wrote the wrong word. It's Revelations thirteen, I believe, and verse fourteen.
-
Let's see if I got this. Okay, it's not Revelation three,
-
it's thirteen, all right, So you can turn your Bibles if you want
-
to check that. So Revelations thirteen, and it's verse ten, not fourteen,
-
because I cut and paser. Okay, it's Revelations thirteen and verse ten.
-
Okay, don't be scared when I read this or don't like Oh,
-
okay, wait the Bible, all right, this is true, this is
-
truth. Okay. So I can't read the whole thing, but I want
-
to capture something. I'll give you the background. So Revelations thirteen, verse
-
ten says, he which is Jesus who leads, he who leads into captivity,
-
you're going to captivity. And then he who kills with the sword must
-
be culled with the sword. But here is the patience and the faith of
-
the saints. New King James Nlty says, this means that God's holy people
-
must endure persecution patiently and remain faithful. Okay. So the scriptures before that,
-
before this is about you know, the beasts. I don't know who
-
this beast is. It is going to be something somewhere, someone or some
-
AI. I have no idea. Yeah, there are three beasts in the
-
in the revelation. I just realized, not one, not to three.
-
Okay, but they all come connect with each other. So there will be
-
a great persecution that will happen. There will be great challenges that will happen
-
as the time comes towards you know, the end times, and we are
-
still going to be here likely, uh, Hannah, things are going to
-
happen very quickly or no, maybe not quickly or solo we ud be quite
-
a while. So this this, these challenges, these are persecution, persecuting
-
times are going to happen, and uh and uh and everyone, every time,
-
every tribe, every nation are going to be challenged by the beast,
-
all right. Don't think of the beast like hurt bad dragon. I don't
-
know what it is that would be a dragon, but it's a picture.
-
When we see it in the coming days, it won't be just a dragon.
-
It will be something someone government. I don't know, it will be
-
there. But my my, my thoughts is, don't worry about whether it's
-
a best dragon, snakes or whatever. It will be something, all right.
-
But it's going to come against the people of God because we choose Christ.
-
So therefore the verses, whatever is going to happen, whether we will
-
be challenged, whether we will be killed, whether we will go through starvation.
-
Whatever he says, this means that the God's holy people must end your
-
persecution patiently and remain faithful. Next, so I've got my verses all mixed
-
up. I think where my cutting and pasting. So anyway, the next
-
verse is actually fourteen, the revelation fourteen and verse twelve. That's the next
-
the next slide. I'm so sorry, I think in my cutting and pasting,
-
So Revelations chapter fourteen and verse twelve an NLT. It reads, so
-
it's following through how these the beasts or the or the enemy of God's people.
-
Following through that there will be a lot of things that will be revealed
-
and comes really very shocking stuff that will happen. And this where the introduce
-
where they will introduce the mark of the beasts. And so we don't know
-
what the six six things will look like, how it's going to be.
-
Uh. They say that this mark will be either on your hand on your
-
forehead. Of course, if they tell you a loud like some ugly looking
-
thing, nobody want to take la. But you know it's gonna come.
-
It's maybe it's under your skin. I don't know, it's already happening so
-
there will be this mark. And if you don't take this mark, if
-
you don't want to take this, because we're all going cashless now, they're
-
just preparing us, our friends, all these casualless systems, don't touch this,
-
don't touch dead. It's only preparing us to force us to nicely eat
-
into the whole cashless system and society. And then we're like so easy and
-
as sometimes we as believers might forget that what is it? But you will
-
know that is something you have to make a stand forall. Okay, So
-
I'm not predicting and saying anything. It's just what the Bible wrote. I
-
just want to focus on something we can build on now. Birst Child says,
-
here is the patience of the saints. Here are those who keep the
-
commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. And Nolty says, this means
-
that God's holy people must send your persecution patiently obeying his commands and maintaining their
-
faith in Jesus. Amen to the Beloved of the Lord this morning. Here,
-
if you have come to know Christ and you are walking with Jesus today,
-
I just want to encourage us with this. It will take faith.
-
It will take the faithful next light, and it will take faithfulness. It
-
will take your faith, it will take your being faithful, and it will
-
take faithfulness to endure all things. Now, we are already going through hard
-
times. Different ones of us here have different challenges at your work, law,
-
at your studies, and your family and your married life. In our
-
country, you know, our health. We already are faithd with different challenges.
-
But the challenges that are coming in a due time in the future could
-
be more thorough more worse than this. But if we don't learn to go
-
through things that are now still bearable, if we don't, then maybe when
-
that time comes, we may just melt down and cannot stand the difficult times.
-
So I want us to. I want to encourage us, I want
-
to challenge us. I want to challenge my own heart. I'm speaking You're
-
not because I made it a hallo. I'm still here with you, all
-
right, Okay, I'm I happy like my dad already, you know,
-
recently passed on our thank you la un before Usler, you know. So
-
he's he's there, you know, and he wanted so much to go back
-
to meet Jesus. And it's difficult. And if I can serve Jesus anymore.
-
I can't go to prison ministry, I can't play my guitar, I
-
can't do anything for the for the House of God. I want to go
-
home, he said, because he couldn't walk anymore. It was such pain
-
and really the lot to came home. WHOA, So he's finished his race,
-
but you and I are here. I'm here. So I need to
-
be faithful to finish my race again. And I want to encourage each other
-
to finish the race, the race of our faith. So we will take
-
faith. Do we have a faith? Amen? Are we going to remain
-
faithful? Whoa? Whoa? But then when he becomes so enduring, long
-
haul, you need faithful next then to pull us along, you know,
-
take us the long journey. Faithfulness. Amen. So I as I am
-
bringing this across to us because I want us to just remember some of these
-
thoughts when the time comes. And the verses in Revelation, especially the chapter
-
fourteen it starts from thirteen to fourteen, it does bring about a certain challenge
-
that will come again. I cannot tell you how it will look like what
-
it is, but there will be a challenge against the people of God who
-
choose to believe in Christ, who choose to want to follow Christ? Amen?
-
And therefore let us therefore get ready prepare? How can we walk further
-
and faithful before the Lord? Okay? And if there's one ingredient, and
-
we said, you know, the best ingredient nasillama is the symbol, then
-
the best ingredient in our faith will have to be faithfulness. It will take
-
only the not only faith faithful, but faithfulness to walk with the Lord.
-
Because we are because how Jesus is called the faithful one, we reflect our
-
savior. We too need to be faithful. Therefore, let's start with what
-
we can do. Are we a faithful friend? You know? Are we
-
faithful to the Lord? Now? Can I be counted as a faithful friend
-
to somebody? Am I faithful to my calling? Are you faithful to your
-
calling? Yeah? You know? What does it? What are the things
-
that needs to show faithfulness? Are you faithful with your child that God has
-
given you? Right? We just prayed. We have to be faithful with
-
what God has given. Don't just okay your problem? Right? Are you?
-
Oh? You know? Like? Oh yes, study, study,
-
don't study, barlay. You have to be faithful? Are we faithful with
-
the gift that God has given us a child? You're gifting your voice?
-
Or is it your business? You know you have the gift to make money.
-
Praise the love because the Bible says God gives you power to make wealth.
-
So are you even making wealth with what God has given you? Or
-
you're just quandering iron at my lond only are you? So? We be
-
giving what we have? Now? What do we have now that we can
-
be faithful with? And you can think about what you have now? Is
-
it the home that God has given you? Is it the school that you're
-
You know, you're faithful to your school? You payful with your church?
-
Are you pay for with your gift? You're faithful with this little car that
-
you have? Maybe then you'll get bigger car. Are you faithful you know
-
in taking care? Maybe even oh you you're serving somebody? Are you faithful
-
with that? You know? They say, you know a long time ago,
-
I used to serve these speakers that come. I will carry their bag,
-
I will sell the books for them, I will help do whatever loud
-
I mean it goes. Nobody say yes, yeah, I was a young
-
working adult, I was a college to I would serve them loud. Help
-
you sell see, I'll start, Oh, so they can hear the speaker
-
for thing or selling boat or or whatever you do. Carry the bag,
-
bring the water, Lisa, Yes, small small thing loud? Right?
-
But am I faithful to what I was given to do it? Because if
-
we're faithful with carrying the bag of the speaker giving water to the preacher,
-
one day God will give you real treasure. And mind you, real treasure
-
may not just be. It's not just money, lives lives, and if
-
you have a child, that is a treasure, real treasure. How to
-
raise this child? Amen? So can we therefore take it from where we're
-
at now? If I can learn, faithful nurse, some of us have
-
difficult children? No when they hit teenagers? I don't know. Yeah from
-
now? Very cute? No, you're what an angel? Sweet baby?
-
Right? Sadly? Sixteen years old? My mom? Bye? Then you're
-
like, you're not angel? Lord? You know? Are we gonna continue
-
to be faithful? Parent? Do faithfully parenting? Am I gonna be a
-
faithful you faster through? Parent? Is difficult? Teenagers speaking my life difficult?
-
Okay, we start from where we are now because it takes faith to
-
believe that God has called us that I have. I'm a follower Christ.
-
It will take my you know, for me to be faithful to follow Christ,
-
and I need faithfulness to see it through. Amen. We've got to
-
do it what we have and I believe we're not all there yet. But
-
God is transforming us. That's why we're in a journey, Amen, journey
-
this morning is I walked into church today, you know, and friends,
-
some of you are at the beginning of your faith journey. Some of us
-
are in the middle. Some of us I'm getting closer to the other side.
-
I'm lesser years to live than I have more years to roll down the
-
hill. So but as I came into church this morning, I just thought,
-
you know, sometimes we think you're many things on my baby, my
-
child. I'm thinking, oh, dear, I've got spo retreat tomorrow.
-
You know, I'm going to Osaka. I haven't finished this, I haven't
-
done so many things to prepare, things to pray about, get ready to
-
mix the planning for twenty twenty four and a lot just stopped me and I
-
just as I was standing with you worshiping, and just thought, Wow,
-
God just put this impression. Be thankful with your church. You have a
-
church to come to worship, You have church family to worship with you,
-
to encourage you. It's a happy day. I look forward. Do you
-
look forward to come to church on Sunday? I always do. I always
-
do, even though I can be really tired sometimes because a long week,
-
but I always look forward to the church and this one is coming here.
-
Something you don't think about that I can actually go to church because in some
-
places you can't even walk up to any church. You stay in your house
-
love, or go to some gonner. God has bless us that I have.
-
I could actually come to one World hotel and join a service here.
-
Wow. Don't take church for granted. People don't drag your feet to church
-
and say are you a church again this Sunday? Don't take it? Are
-
you? Say? Friends? We are not made for every day to have
-
black pink. You know, not every day you know you pupeter right,
-
and not every days? Oh my god, oh my god. You every
-
day want something newer. There's not a real life love, because real life
-
I ask the Father, the new Father, Jonathan. You every day have
-
to wash the poop, isn't it? Every day? You fit? Happy,
-
happy feeder? But the next minute is poo pink, you know,
-
at the same time, eat and come on, eat and come all right?
-
Are you you know, being a parent and these days like what did
-
I sign up for? I ask for marriage but not this parenting? Is
-
it fun? Friend? No? Way? Man? First time, y'all
-
are y'ah y'all yo? Second time? Like then on the one day they
-
have ten times? Way, well, nothing else to do? But why
-
poop feed white poop feed white poo? You know, is there is that?
-
Is that something very exciting? No, it's really oh my god,
-
oh my god. Right, it's not like, oh my god, my
-
god, this is my day. No, this one, my this is
-
so difficult to go through. Do we say forget your baby, I'm walking
-
out. We don't write your job? You think every day is fun?
-
Now every day got a new dealer? No, see your same face boss
-
there? You know the boss will smile you. How you walk out?
-
Man, if you have to put bread and butter every day on your family's
-
table, you cannot walk out your job. No, those of you can
-
walk out anytime, maybe because your father can help you. But the most
-
of us. I couldn't walk out on my job when my boss face,
-
I work anyway, work and earn the small little money back in the day,
-
back in the day, which you will never earned this day. You
-
only even work for that kind of money. But I lived in when the
-
dinosaurs walked so little. But you're still right because it wasn't exciting, not
-
every day, but there will be days when it's Maybe you're a firework,
-
right, I don't. It's not just not having any fireworks. It's just
-
worrying. Do you walk out? No, we don't, you see real
-
life. We don't want. We have to endure a law. Right,
-
we have to see your face of every day. Right. You cannot marr
-
every day from your parents. So you you you stick, you, you
-
just you just your faith. You're faithful, and it takes faithfulness to see
-
it true until God makes that change. When that happens, I don't know,
-
but he does. He does. Some things don't always turn out.
-
Friends, you think you know, I also got my own challenges. Friends,
-
it's tough. It's tough. I have my own challenges, and you
-
know I'm still waiting. I got your child war a faithful So the way
-
where you still put me to this thing? Why why like that? Never
-
change so no answer means what carry on? Yeah, carry on? Fair
-
fight fight fight. Hey, I don't like it. I don't like No
-
answer means I know already as a child God, carry on, carry on,
-
faithful, just do what you know you have to do. Amen.
-
So that is that is what really is for us to to to be transformed,
-
and God is slowly transforming us from the inside out. We can sing
-
songs, but when you're going through the real difficult tears, very difficult,
-
right, you get you sing from the inside out forget you right, but
-
yeah, heal song all write those songs you sing? You sing that now
-
you're going to We can sing, not can singer, not all you you
-
know tough, but that's where your faith goes through the heart. Grill meal
-
everything, grill you like crazy, but you still come on stand the faith.
-
Amen. And you know the one, the one, the sound of
-
the voice of the Lord that you want to hear as you enter into heaven.
-
So I'm giving you a future. As I told you, Earth is
-
not permanent. You're just passing through. So if you're going to invest anything,
-
make sure you're investing in your eternal life eternity, because when you get
-
to the purlygates of heaven. You want to hear? What do you want
-
to hear? Friends? Some or you can tell me, yeah, well
-
done, good and faithful, servant, not well done, handsome boy,
-
well done, wonderful investor, No, well done, good and faithful.
-
So that all depends to you. What do you think Jesus is saying well
-
done, good and faithful? Or he didn't? The word faithful is there?
-
Or why? Because our Jesus is faithful. So if I'm going to
-
look anything like my Jesus, because he's my master, my father, I
-
guess that will be a quality he's going to be looking out for. Amen.
-
Come on, the father's here, mother's here, where you birth your
-
child? What are you looking for? You see your face? La your
-
child? My child, not a she's not my child. How you gonna
-
sing this song? Billy Jean is not my child? Yeah, yellow,
-
you're gonna get Billy Jean right. So you you you want to see yourself
-
right in your child? Don't you think heavenly Father birthed us in his spirit,
-
washes in his blood forgiven us, gave his life for us. Don't
-
you think he's transforming us to look like him? And one quality out of
-
so many there's so many la But right now we're talking about let's make it
-
and finish the race when you enter, you know, not wonderful songs you
-
wrote, not you're ong No, I love every girl's playing like wonderful playing
-
love of music. But that's not even what he's gonna say. What is
-
he gonna say? Good and faithful, thank you for using all that I
-
gave you, and you're faithfully doing what you're supposed to do or whatever I've
-
told you to do. Amen. What that faithful means to you is to
-
you and to me. But God is looking for faithful people, faithfulness and
-
your faith. Amen. So we look at Matthew twenty five to twenty one.
-
Remember this verse. Yes, we were talking about talents, talking about
-
the money that was given to these three guys to go and invest. And
-
you know, again Jesus talked about money a lot. But that line that
-
I want to capture is these are the words he's going you're going to look
-
forward to when you go in. Is the first things I love you just
-
said, my good and faithful servant. Man. We got to get ready
-
to be doing what we ought to be doing, so that we hear this
-
because anything less, I'm sure we are going to cry. But the first
-
thing is we made it to have and then we have to hear this word
-
ready. And if you didn't go to the polygate, send me not there
-
means gone, okay, then you really cry. But we want to make
-
it and that's what we want to do, encourage one another. So we
-
long to hear these words. And it does mean faithful. What is the
-
revelation versus that I read with you just now? To endure to everything?
-
It's God's people must endure and your patience patience, But what does that mean?
-
Being faithful? Right? Being faithful? So coming to church sometimes can
-
be like God, no new exciting things are Sorry, love friend, I'm
-
not here to entertain you. We are here for one audience and it's God
-
alone. And I tell you He's not bored with the same song you sing
-
every morning for my quiet time. I sing the same song. I know.
-
I'm alwayship leader by I only like one song, and it's such an
-
old song I cannot share with you. It's so all listen from song,
-
so excuture song and when I sing them, sometimes sing the same song you
-
know, like yeah, I love you same song. It's not I write
-
my own songs like I just make it melody. And but I know I
-
realized I sing the same song. And I say this thing to Jesus every
-
day. And one of the things I say to him every day, because
-
I truly mean it, is that God, thank you for your mercies.
-
If it was not for God's mercy, I don't think I can walk today.
-
Great is your faithfulness, and I'm grateful. And I say, you
-
think God is bored, I realize he's not bored. You know why,
-
because when he writes his letters to us in the Bible, he says the
-
same thing. I also say, God, why you say the same thing,
-
But he keeps saying, don't have you have you read it recently?
-
Though the way it's written, it means the same thing he's writing to us.
-
He's reminding us and reminding us. So I also reminding God, please
-
don't take your mercy away from me. I really need your mercy. Amen.
-
And so really, friends, we must end your all things that are
-
going to happen to us, or if we are going to it and ask
-
for God's grace. Really, what is grace? Grace is something we cannot
-
have but the Lord gives us the strength that we may finish well and then
-
finish well the race. We may start bad, but please don't end bad.
-
It's okay. We all have very funny starts, all right. We
-
can have false startler you know down, game over it in real Olympics,
-
your false start game over ready. But regardless, we need to know that
-
we can make a better end. We can. We can. We can
-
start badly, we can look bad, but we don't have to end badly.
-
That's where we are preparing ourselves. Stay the cause and prepare well.
-
So I therefore came to this verse as my key word to encourage us.
-
Is Hebrews chapter twelve and verse one to two. Yes, Hebrews Chapter twelve,
-
verse one to two. Everyone you know this verse. I'm bringing a
-
reminder us. This is more simplified intense. It's not so intense when you
-
read revelations war intense. This is going to just help us break it down
-
a little bit. And you may have heard it before, but let's hear
-
it again. Hebrews twelve, verse one. Is it correct? I'm there?
-
Yes. Therefore, we also, since we are surrounded by so great
-
a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which
-
so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurur rance the race that
-
is set before us. Here you are. You and I are in a
-
race, not in a red race to climb the corporate letter, but in
-
the race of our faith to keep our faith. That the devil is wanting
-
to rob you off. That's what he does. He does the same trick
-
to to make us turn our backs on God. But friends, we have
-
to endure, all right? And how do we do that? Looking unto
-
Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who, for the joy
-
that was set before him, endured. Friends, look at the word he
-
endured, the cross. I don't think anyone on planet Earth will ever be
-
able to endure the cross the way Jesus endured. Try nailing your finger,
-
now, are you? It's not even the word He'll be right? Who
-
say all right? So you know Jesus didn't even say, I say,
-
you know, he's like right here and you're the cross. I don't think
-
it wasn't just a nail. It was his feet. He was pierced on
-
his side, He was crowned with the thorns of crown. He was slap
-
beaten, and he had already been whipped thirty nine times short of one.
-
That's the rule with a flagellum with little bones, to strip your skin every
-
time they whipped you. And and they don't just whip me, they whip
-
and they pulled. So his skin was all torn, his face was all
-
marred, normal face, normal. It's just nobody will ever go through this
-
ever again, because he wasn't just hung on the cross of fence. He
-
was first beaten, then put on the all all bare flesher, and then
-
on the cloak you know how painful there is, and then take it off
-
again, take got a little so we really right, this is this is
-
the whole body he endured, and despising the shame, he was left to
-
hang naked, and he sat down because of all that he did, He's
-
then sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. And therefore
-
for us today, as we and I have I think we should talk about
-
the future. And that's why you have to read the Book of Revelation.
-
As much as we don't understand everything, it will be revealed because and the
-
verses actually say pray for wisdom to discern what this means. So I'm not
-
here to predict, because I don't believe in predicted. I believe in what
-
God will say to us. But I think more importantly is how we can
-
prepare ourselves for that dark and doom day and maybe we might be the alone
-
not no friend there. But we've been doing this for many years. The
-
mundane, the borying, are yo sing three songs? Are you take communion?
-
And this? Some people say, I want something more exciting, friends,
-
The exciting doesn't save your life. It's the boring, right, who
-
likes eating the you know those days? Oh my mother made me eat Scott
-
emotion? Oh you I tell you it's so bad. You know, I
-
won't fada. It's boring right now, got nice days and now all kinds
-
of ju see you know that's not hair mather make you swallow? You swallow,
-
cannot swallow? Right? Boring? But we were all strong and healthy.
-
Yeah, So the narrow road leads to life, the wide road leads
-
to death. So we got to choose our battles now and think where do
-
we want to go? So number one, let's look. Number one,
-
lay aside every weight, and this is demisa, friends, I was sixteen
-
years old when I came to Christ and I saw this verse. I am
-
now nearer sixty, and I'm still trying to lay aside every weight because the
-
weight that I had at sixteen are different from the weight that I will now
-
have, and I still have to lay it off. What is that lay
-
aside every weight? Well, Hebrew says, lay aside, lay aside the
-
weight, every weight. And the sin that's so easily ensnares you. So
-
there are things that easily triples someone. What is it? I don't know
-
what it is for you, but that one thing that keeps making you every
-
time you want to start and surf, go and do something for the lot.
-
Every time you want to, you know, do your quiet time.
-
If something pulls you back, you can all wake out, lie you this
-
lia you that la ah some what is that scene? You know? It
-
could be I don't know what that sin is. I don't know what that
-
weight is. Sometime weight sometimes you know, burden of things or so can
-
weigh you down there and make you cannot pray. It's true, you know,
-
when you're worried about something you forgot, you cannot pray already because it's
-
too much and you don't even have strength. That's why we need Holy Spirit.
-
Holy Spirit come and help us pray in the spirit. Praying tongues cannot
-
pray and understanding ready, it cannot really your words cannot come out right.
-
But we are to lay aside that heavyweight. And what is that sin that
-
we so easily and traps us? Is it unforgiveness? What a lot of
-
us are caught in unforgiveness? You know, we're caught on and we have
-
to ask ourself a hundred times did I really forgive? Or I'm not that
-
we did yet. It can be hiding somewhere in the cavity of our lives,
-
hiding, hiding there, wondering, and you see that person thinking,
-
yeah, then you know that you haven't forgiven the person that right, Yeah,
-
you have to go to pray against the lord. I understrender. Try
-
to surrender everything like that, because you don't be burdened down. You don't
-
have sickness, you know, you don't have some cancer some days later because
-
you're holding unforgiveness, you know, or whatever else that comes with unforgiveness.
-
A lot of things are from hurt cannot forgive, to bitterness, to depression.
-
All these kings come together one package or one happy family. No said
-
family. Happy family is different now, so there one packation? So what
-
is that scene? Is it? For me? As a young person,
-
it was always a guy? Oh my goodness, are you that's the word?
-
Are you always some guy trying to date me? Right? Then,
-
I'm like this silly girl. Well, as always said, I waited fully
-
for you, I'm happily dating everybody. Are you, you know, always
-
a guy? Why? Maybe in your you know, said the like,
-
you know, just wait, just trust God? Right, one came fishing
-
for you and all the tears that I cried because you know, like why
-
so do I go into this relationship? Right? Is that that the one
-
that's tripping me up? You know? Or is it crossing the line in
-
some relationships? If you are, are you crossing the line that he's also
-
seen? Right? Is it the bad words you keep saying? Is that
-
tripping you up? Is that stealing your faith? You know and causing you
-
to trip down? Is it? I don't know, I don't know.
-
Only you know what is the one that you feel that makes you feel like
-
I'm not worthy to come to the Lord, and yet you can come to
-
the Lord with the dirt, with your baggage, and give it to him.
-
Because Jesus came down from heaven, a very beautiful, clean place,
-
holy place, to walk on a messy earth and to take our sin.
-
So he's not a shame of us. He's not scared of your sin.
-
He's not scared of But we got to not keep walking in the same way.
-
You need to turn repent, and you cannot be compromise. Friends,
-
the moment you start compromising, you will never experience the fullness of the faith
-
of God. Sorry, I don't know think of anything in your life that
-
you compromise you. We cannot get the pure thing one Allelujah Amen. So
-
lay aside every way. What is that thing that you are struggling to give
-
up? We need, we need to to give it to Jesus. But
-
the devil also knows what is your weakness, you see, so he will
-
tempt you the same the same way he needed to. If he'll do it
-
to us and we lap it up. We think he got new tricks.
-
He doesn't. He has no new tricks. It's the same tricks. See
-
with your eyes like the thing bye by doing alama sin? All right?
-
So what is those things that were trippers out? I've asked myself. Yeah,
-
I'm gonna keep myself right before the low, holy, before the low.
-
Holy. It's not a bad way, it's a good word. I
-
know your friends say you holy cow. All you tell them where you're gonna
-
find a holy cow? Nila, real dealer, holy cow you Nila,
-
holy God Ilaze. No, I don't need some bay young can't talk okay,
-
okay, lives. No, it's holy, it's not it's a beautiful
-
word. It just means God has made you right. Wow. And we
-
run away every time we go with our friends and they said, yea,
-
are you holy girl? And you you I don't be holy. Let me
-
just do everything else. No, you are set apart and set apart.
-
People know what God's stand is, because that's just now. The revelation said
-
follow his commandment and dore all things follow and keep to Jesus, stick to
-
him. So are you and I following his commandments? Or are we compromising
-
because you think God is going to be okay with our compromise. No,
-
I've been there, done that, and really feel badly cannot compromise because God
-
has his dreams for us, his plans for us. He is so beautiful
-
that he cannot allow any dirt to be in there. That's why you become
-
a pearl after much irritation. Oh you are you know, irritate that oyster
-
until he's so irritated that you're like speed out and then you get a pearl.
-
You want to be a precious pearl. But the pearl will not become
-
a pearl if it remains compromising. Are you compromising your relationships? Are you
-
compromising in your business deals? Are you compromising in your whatever's hidden in your
-
heart? What are we compromising with? I also have to ask myself,
-
Rands. Yeah, I'm not talking to you like I talk down. No,
-
No, same sim We all have to search a heart. What are
-
we compromising that he didn't scenes hidden? Hi didn't thinks? Wherever? Better
-
go it? Lay aside all these heavyweights, heavyweights, Yeah, at the
-
weights that just burn push us down and say you will never make it.
-
You tell the devil, I am gonna make it because Jesus set me free.
-
Already, Get your fingers off me, Get your ugly dirty fingers off
-
me. Yes, that's my sin, that's my past, but it ain't
-
my future. It ain't your future? That was my past? I yeah,
-
it's whatever I did therefore works already so near mine. I had God
-
layer side. But you have to choose. As you choose, he will
-
empower you to overcome. Why do we have to lay a side. We
-
have to lay the side so that so that we can really focus. All
-
right now, he says, here, layer side is in that so easily
-
ensnares and then let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
-
Okay, so the first one is layer side everyway. Secondly is to
-
run with endurance. Okay, rhyme endurance. First, run with endurance.
-
So while you lay aside, you need to run with endurance. Houla run
-
you know, don't walk, walk a hole slow, Run away from the
-
devil, run away from the dedation. You like girls standing right, you
-
have mama, but you run. You don't touch, not yours, don't
-
touch. Okay, ah, okay, don't hut. Run with endurance,
-
run away from temptation. Don't say I think I can. I think I
-
can. I'm strong enough, and then you go. But that's the thing
-
in life. We think we can, but actually we can't, because we
-
will end up again. The word is compromising. You cannot mix dark and
-
light, and dark cannot not because the people are better. No, it's
-
just that's how God is. He told you something, follow it. That's
-
his command. Have you been reading his word when you read him, If
-
you say this to you, then you follow. So he says, don't
-
let this sin that will so easy and snare you. But let us run
-
with endurance the race that he set before us. Now rin with endurance.
-
Also means this, while you are walking your faith, your faith, and
-
you're walking in your faithfulness, in your being faithful, then the difficulty will
-
come right, the challenges will come to try and pull you. So that's
-
when you have to run with endurance or walk your faith with endurance and your
-
yes temptation, don't turn, don't turn, don't turn, don't turn,
-
don't look, don't don't look at that new card. Don't know, don't
-
know, No, no, don't know. Oh that package do you don't
-
know? Just I know that Christis called me to do this, So I
-
gotta go there. Unlessen this is what God. You know you look at
-
Christler, But first of all, you got to end your meaning. You
-
need faithful nurse to get through the challenges to get through the many difficulties.
-
Friends, many there are in life we do have. It's so many things
-
that are thrown at us to discourage us. Why why do we have to
-
drive endurance? Because every fiery that of the enemy is to discourage us,
-
to cause us to have doubts against God and to finally get us to turn
-
our backs on God and walk away from his promises and walk away from what
-
God meant for us. And that was my story that God had a calling
-
today. I'm here, friends, I might not have I might not be
-
here. I would not have been here if I didn't make those choices.
-
Then I don't know where I would be if I didn't say no to that
-
relationship, that relationship, that relationship because I just wanted to get married.
-
Because God had a better day for me and a better plan than what I
-
thought. I gave up on God's plan that I would meet someone you know
-
or whatever. I want to be missionary right so already, but I think
-
no, likee, God forgot me and I was going to settle for the
-
first guy, second guy, the kid. But the Lord knew that I
-
would be here today with you. I couldn't see it, and so I
-
had to go through that heart breaks, heart aches or whatever they had to
-
go through to finally go very narrow and then finally meet that man, mister
-
Chin, and then to walk together. Right, And this was the dream
-
I've always had, but I never saw it. I couldn't see it here.
-
And time was sticking, biological clock is sticking, getting older, so
-
late, already late. And he's not married. I know the boys can
-
connect, but the girls will and and then your panic, and you panic,
-
and then and you just set And I was just going to settle.
-
Not wrong, to get married. It's not the wrong I'm saying. What
-
was God's plan for me? I could not see this. I've never saw.
-
I never seen this. I wanted to be a missionary, but I
-
didn't think God would call me, so I would settle. But but you
-
see, you have to run with endurance. What was ensnaring me had to
-
be let go, but go ahead to put all this here, so that
-
I had to go everything and keep running with endurance. And then how do
-
we rhyme with endurance? Looking onto Jesus, focus on Christ, focus on
-
Jesus, the one who who who captivated my heart in the first place,
-
and that's what we all need to be captivated by that. Friends, I
-
don't know what persecution you and I go to. Some of you have gone
-
through persecution when you became a Christian. While your parents say no means no,
-
you better deny Christ now. So you just tahn on. You know,
-
Conar left right, But you kept your faith. Some people in China,
-
Wow, they gave their life to keep their faith. I don't know
-
how they did it, but I remember this story. The the I think
-
the soldiers or the government came in and this is back then, you know,
-
back in the day, and they bushed into a church and then they
-
said stop all activity. And then they took the picture. They had the
-
picture of Jesus, and they told everyone, you come and spit on the
-
space of Jesus, and if you do that, you'll be saved. So
-
the kind leaders that church thought, to the sick of my members, I
-
will go in spit. So they went in speak thinking that this is to
-
help my church, right, And then came one one other guy and he
-
said spit and he said, no, I can't, why not? You
-
will die? I can't. This is this is this is the God that
-
I worship. This is China and said, well, so they are going
-
like, oh, no, he's gonna go. You spit now or you
-
will die. Do you know that? He said, no, I can't.
-
This is this is my God. And so they finished everything. They
-
shut up the thing. They I don't know how it went, but what
-
happened was they finally actually took the lives of all those who sped on the
-
face and sped the ones who didn't. That means there were others who haven't
-
speed yet, right, but there was this one who wouldn't. He was
-
sped and was so with the rest. But the ones who did, they
-
said, if you can spit on if you would spit on the Jesus face,
-
that means you can spit on Mazi Don's face. Look, you're not
-
faithful to your leader. But this person was so faithful as leader. I
-
believe he can be faithful to the government. That kind of persecution almost to
-
death. And then there are others there others in Iran, in Pakistan where
-
you know, young people come to Christ tell their mom so happy, and
-
the father will saying that the one story was you give up your faith.
-
Right now you have an opportunity to study in Oxford you are going to go
-
And he said no, I'm not going to give up my faith. He
-
took the daughter and threw her out the window. I don't know. You
-
call it a waste. I don't know. Persecution, that's the persecution for
-
the stand for Christ. We have a different kind of persecution, perhaps in
-
our country. I don't know. We haven't gone face to face with it
-
yet, even sometimes telling our relatives, you know, Chinese background, we
-
go. You know, I'm sorry, I cannot. I cannot do the
-
bye pie and all the I will stand there, Kanda, how can Tana
-
not? Can you end up? These are I don't know. Some of
-
you have gone to very difficult persecution for your faith, for your faith,
-
and when some hours never had to go to that. I mean, I
-
really didn't have to go to a lot for my faith, not until that.
-
But some of us have, and some of us may never understand why
-
others would suffer that kind. And I can tell you we are going to
-
go through even worse challenges because it won't be it will be other things,
-
and may come from within the church. Just to be relevant, we may
-
compromise. So I don't know. I just know that each of us are
-
will one day have to stand before the Lord at the judgment seat of Christ.
-
I don't know why he's going to ask you and me, but I
-
sure know I need to finish my race. Amen. Come on, guys,
-
whatever it is, you're gonna left right, and sometimes you are alone,
-
and you're first of all lay aside. If you've laid aside everything,
-
then now you just have to endure. You run with endurance the Pullah.
-
Nobody understands me about my stand or my belief, And how do I run
-
with endurance? I must look unto Jesus, the author and finish of my
-
faith. I cannot. I'm not as brave as many others. I hope
-
to be brave like them. I've not gone through the worst yet, but
-
I prayed I will be brave at the time when it will be needed for
-
me to be brave and to stand for what I believe in and not back
-
down because of fear. So I don't know what those things are hit.
-
If you read the Book of Revelation, you will see a lot of pictures,
-
and yet the scripture says, ask God for discernment, what is it
-
for us? And look at the signs of times? What we're going through.
-
So what should we do now? We need to prepare well and we
-
need to stay the cost. You've got to know that Jesus is worth following
-
and serving and stay the cost. And if you and I have compromise on
-
any grounds, please do something about that compromise. Bring it to the Lord
-
in prayer. If you can let it go, let it go. Whatever
-
is a compromise, you know, I don't know. I'm just saying.
-
I'm saying ahead of time things that have not yet happened. But when it
-
does come, you need to know you are following the King of kings,
-
the Lord of lords, and you want to go all the way with Jesus
-
because this is his word, and the word is in revelations just now.
-
It means that God's Holy people mustn't your persecution patiently and remain faithful and remain
-
faithful. This means that God's Holy people must end your persecution patiently. Again,
-
it says obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus. Okay,
-
So even if someone else in your family has compromised, doesn't mean you have
-
to compromise, because you are you and you have to stand before the judgment
-
seat of Christ. For us who are believer us in Christ, we will
-
go to the judgment seat of Christ. We won't go to the other,
-
the great white throne. Judgment is why you never accept Christ. This is
-
what we already accept Christ. So now he will ask us about the things
-
that we were supposed to do as a child of God. Then did we
-
witness? Did we use our gifts and talents? So what do we do
-
now? Now? As I said, is to be faithful with what you
-
have. Now, as I said, I'm not the predicator. I cannot
-
prophesy what I can't prophesye, we will have persecution. But what can we
-
do now to only grow our face strong and to ask God where you should
-
be at the right time, at the right place, because we have to
-
run with endurance, and if you at the wrong place at the wrong time,
-
you will be sucked in. It's not so simple to follow the crowd
-
people, because this very really means about following the crowd. At the end
-
of the day and all this, everybody's going there, more popular, you
-
go gone. Man, if that's not where God wants you to go,
-
you are also compromising. You need not seek the Lord, all right,
-
so I feel that we are at a time and stage in our lives when
-
we need to prepare well, prepare your heart well, prepare until we see
-
Jesus, look forward to hear the words, my good and faithful Servant.
-
That's what you want to hear. That's what you long to hear, and
-
and and and you know we can only do that by just saying, Lord,
-
I want to be walking my faith. I want to be faithful,
-
and when times are tough, it will take faithfulness to go through it,
-
the faithful faithfulness to go to it. A man church, it's for us.
-
If you don't know Christ yet, well, you have other things that
-
you may be going through, and it still takes faith in where your faith
-
is. There's a question lack even for us who believe in Christ. We
-
also have to put our hearts right before the Lord so that we can remain
-
faithful. Amen. And please don't throw in the towel, but take the
-
faithfulness of God that's over your life, and you also have that faithfulness in
-
where you're at. Amen. Don't don't give up so easily. Really,
-
that's what we're saying, right, don't give up so easily. Whatever it
-
is, just end're with patience and your and your miss Dahn and go to
-
it. Maybe no one else will understand your tears. Maybe you feel it's
-
unfair, but it's never about whether it's fair or unfair. It's always about
-
doing the right thing, the right thing, Attract God's presence in your life.
-
Attract God's favor even when nobody else favors you. We must stand and
-
don't follow the crowd when they tell you, Jesus is there, Jesus is
-
here, here's the latest thing, here's the latest that. If we do
-
that, you will never know how to make a stand for yourself. Amen.
-
And that's where the boring sometimes is what gets you to the finishing line.
-
The boring, but then it's like that long because that's why people don't
-
carry on, like this is boring, But you carry on, you will
-
see the light at the end of the tunnel. Amen. We hope you've
-
been blessed by this message. For more information on our church, please visit
