  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your tea John Child twenty six. You can read with me

  3. if you want to, but I'll read for you. Now. There were

  4. certain Greeks among those who came up to worship at the feasts. And then

  5. they came to Philip, who was from the Shider of Galilee, and asked

  6. him, saying, Sir, Sir, we wish to see Jesus. Philip

  7. came and told Andrew, and in turn Andrew and Philip told Jesus. But

  8. Jesus answered them, saying, the hour has come that the son of Man

  9. shall be glorified. Amen. Most surely, I say to you. Unless

  10. a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone.

  11. But if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life

  12. will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep

  13. it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, let him follow me,

  14. And where I am there my servant will be. Also if anyone serves me

  15. him, my father will honor the Lord bless his reading of the word.

  16. Amen. There's power in declaring the word of God and even as we go

  17. through John and the title being how to Live a Life Full of Godly Purpose,

  18. I'm going to introduce to you the first point of today's message, how

  19. He blesses you. The first point, and especially we are going to zoom

  20. in on this word called death. Turn to your neighbor and say death.

  21. Death. Now before that, before you go to the first point, okay,

  22. it is ready up. But before you go to that, I feel

  23. a big guilty be there. I did this in the first service, and

  24. I have to do it again because I actually, really I forgot about it.

  25. But honestly, I as I saw your coming in, right, I

  26. tell you what, each and everyone you came with a shine on your face.

  27. I don't know what is it about, but each one of you looks

  28. so fabulous today. Right, you look good? Don't your neighbors say you

  29. look good? You look good? And for those of you who like to

  30. smell, say you smell good? I know, I know, ever say

  31. those smell by smell, I take I take a nice with uh, and

  32. and that will remind us to put some girderin and some perfume if if not,

  33. But it's okay, it's okay. God loves everyone, But really,

  34. you look good. Look good? You niss, you look good. You

  35. look good. Jason missed thisler, but he had to bring a hel for

  36. Bedminton. But it's okay, it's okay, but you look good. We

  37. need you look so good, even with a master. You look good,

  38. and everyone here looks good. Man. I want to say that because we

  39. we really treasure family here and and really something is different about you today.

  40. Maybe it's closely to Christmas Day, but we don't know. Okay, So

  41. we're gonna talk about death, and if you're taking notes, the first point

  42. is dying to everything that is not of God. What we want to assoom

  43. in today is the word death and what dying really means. I'm not gonna

  44. ask you to put up your hands, because honestly, this is not something

  45. easy that anyone should go through. But death is something that we all,

  46. I would say, be dislike. Okay, I'm just using a very nice

  47. word. I used to hate death. I used to hate it when someone

  48. in the family, especially someone who is very close to me, passed away.

  49. Of course, now as believers, we know that if they have received

  50. Jesus in their life, they're in a better place. Amen. But the

  51. feeling of a close one going off is still going to be there, and

  52. it's still very close to my heart. So just because I share very recently

  53. that I had a very beloved auntie until today, I keep the gift that

  54. she gave to me, but I don't know where is it now? Where

  55. is it that dolphin? Okay? Anyways, so we used to keep a

  56. dolphin the antiquary to me as a remembrance, like like that was the last

  57. memory ahead of her. And she was very close to me. She had

  58. about I think eight or nine. I can't remember eight or nine children.

  59. But and this is the modern age. She's not like your father, mother,

  60. your father and mother or that. You know, a family all a

  61. lot, but my auntie is hoeever, I got like nine persons, there's

  62. a lot. There's a lot. Me and my sister were only to us.

  63. So death in the family is never easy. And when I had to

  64. go through that and experience that, it changed me in a way. The

  65. reality of death really changed me, like, wow, there is really this

  66. thing called death. Growing up when I was a teenager, I never really

  67. understood the concept of death. Never really hit me or struck me that death

  68. means like you know your dead love to death. Right. It always struck

  69. me like maybe when I die, my soul is still somewhere, you know,

  70. thinking or how am I gonna walk? How am I gonna run?

  71. But the concept did not hit me. So today, as we talk about

  72. death, and I've drawn you to the Scripture of John, in verse twenty

  73. four, it says unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies

  74. and dies. It does not say that unless a grain of wit falls into

  75. the ground, says it has to die so that it can produce much grain.

  76. Amen. Galatians two twenty says, I have been crucified with Christ.

  77. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me,

  78. and the life which I now live in the flesh. I live by faith

  79. in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

  80. Friends, I want to introduce one statement to you. The price for life

  81. is death. That is the price that you have to pay if you are

  82. seeking for life and life more eternal. That means life that comes after death.

  83. You have to pay with death. You have to pay it with death.

  84. I'm not asking you to, like physically die, I'm asking you to

  85. spiritually and in your whole being and your whole heart die. That's what has

  86. to die. Something has to go. Now, what does dying even mean?

  87. Sometimes people, Yeah, you can preach it, so is it?

  88. Then you can say, yeah, that is what does it really entail?

  89. What does it really mean? Because there's sometimes in our lives that when when

  90. we are doing certain things for God, we realize that, how come today

  91. it's so anointed, But how come today it's not anointed? How come today

  92. I don't feel that God is with me? But how come today I feel

  93. God is with me? Suddenly? Of course, this is for another day.

  94. But annoying thing has three layers. Annoying is given to a believer when

  95. they first accept Jesus Christ in their heart. The spirit will come and anoint

  96. the believer. That's number one. And as you grow further, and especially

  97. for the works of the ministry, especially when let's say, for example,

  98. I'm involved in the youth ministry because God still loves his people right and he

  99. still uses people, the annoyting will flow on that ministry. But the most

  100. important annointing that we should all desire to have is the annoyting that is full

  101. of the Holy spa. The annoying thing that stays within you, the annoying

  102. that is ever ever present whenever you're there, not because of you, but

  103. because of the spirit that listen you Amen. That's the annoying that we should

  104. all seek. But the key to that anointing, the excess to the annoying

  105. thing, can only be paid by death. And that's why Jesus himself had

  106. to die. Jesus himself had to die. Many of his disciples were questioning

  107. him, Jesus, come, you are here, you are the Messiah.

  108. Restore the kingdom, restore the temple, and take what is yours. Jesus

  109. said, I am here, but I need to suffer, and his disciples

  110. couldn't grabs that concept even after his resurrection. Even after this resurrection, some

  111. of them were still asking Jesus, why are you not restoring the temple?

  112. And Jesus was just trying to teach them a lesson. I had to come

  113. and I had to die for your sins and only true death. Then resurrection

  114. came. Imen So the concept of death and what does dying really mean.

  115. I'm gonna give you a few verses, and I hope he blesses you.

  116. Roman one says, I beseech you. Therefore, brethren, by the mercies

  117. of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice. Bodies here doesn't

  118. just mean body. Okay, Like I cut my hand, I chop it

  119. and I give it to God. Okay, I don't know how many of

  120. you will do that lot, But uh, bodies doesn't just mean the literal

  121. body. Lord, I sacrifice my gym, my apps, I sacrifice for

  122. you. I give my apps unto you, But I shall not give my

  123. white godfinger. Okay, Trasa Lord, I give my bodies. No,

  124. there's not the bodies. I'm not a body. I am talking about the

  125. entire being, your soul, your heart, your mind, everything that is

  126. within you, your spirit, bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable

  127. to God. If it's not holy and acceptable to God, there is no

  128. power. So don't just come with all the dirt and the and the smart

  129. that is within you, or the poop that is within you, and with

  130. dead. Just come God, I sacrifice to you. God is not good

  131. to honor dead. God is not gonna take that. You have to first

  132. cleanse it, and you cleanse it by die. You die to your desires,

  133. you die to your flesh. Gonna introduce a verse to you, and

  134. before that, a dead man. One thing about date man, give share

  135. some characteristics to you about dead person. Let's say I died. Okay,

  136. so it's not sensitive. I died. I'm dead, and I'm here dead.

  137. Okay. A dead man will not be able to respond correct. Let's

  138. say, for example, I really piece off last night. Really my wife,

  139. by the way, and I love her so much, but I piece

  140. it off piece of all the time. Uh. And I perserved by by

  141. promising I'm going to wash the dishes, but it's not wash. In fact,

  142. I think we haven't washed it yet. I'm sorry, but unt washed

  143. dishes. And you promise that today as I was coming to something, hit

  144. me and I fly and I die. I was on the floor. Okay,

  145. Russia will come to you do me then when I wash the dishes.

  146. Do you think I can respond? Yeah? Sorry, yeah, I think

  147. she would. She will literally do things. She will either cry in in

  148. in oh God, what a miracle, or she would run for her life.

  149. Okay, So I was declared date. Okay. Dead people do not

  150. does not respond. There is no ego to protect. I can't protect my

  151. ego anymore. Now my ego is like you call me fat, Now look

  152. at you and say you are fact la. Do you think a fat man?

  153. Yeah, I know, a fat however, okay, but there is

  154. no ego to protect. There is no ego. It's like my bunching that

  155. lad because I'm fat, ma. So the only thing I can do is

  156. talk. When it comes to actual things, I think I'll run there very

  157. far. Okay. Uh. As long as there is a part of your

  158. flesh there is a life, something from within will come out to interrupt the

  159. plan of God. This is very key, and I hope you catch it.

  160. I'm gonna repeat one more time. As long as there is a part

  161. of your flesh there, it's alive, something from within you eventually will come

  162. up to interrupt the plan of God. Sometimes we think that we are superheroa

  163. okay, especially the guys over here. Right. You know, when you

  164. have a wife, you want to be maturla. I always want to be

  165. mature with my wife, but I have to work on it. But you

  166. think that you will eat all right? You think that some human say no,

  167. no, humble one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure, humbola.

  168. There is something that makes you happy. Looks for example, let's go

  169. to don't you don't do you anymore? It's got good. If you like

  170. whole length lawyer, then so pretty happy, not happy to be right.

  171. There's something that does you. But let's say I go to her and say,

  172. hey, you wear Augila. The ego is there, even though no

  173. matter how humble you are, the ego is there. And there's something about

  174. pain and discomfort and endurance that I can comfortably and confidently say that, as

  175. men human being, there will count a time where you can't take it anymore.

  176. You don't have to wear your hands or how many of you here were

  177. in a place where you can't take it anymore? You can't take it any

  178. more with your parents, you can't take any more with your children, you

  179. can't take any more with your boss, you can't take any more with your

  180. pastor, you can't take any more with your church. How many of you

  181. are here? Don't put our hands, but I'm pretty sure every single one

  182. of you were in this place, even the kids. You know, no

  183. any but actually they can't take anyone. They they cry, they shout,

  184. what didn't they cry? They can't take any more? To Hungarylla and the

  185. mother don't know what she's doing okay, that's me la Okay, so can't

  186. take it anymore, right, and they will come. What is worse is

  187. that the moment that you are no longer able to endure it, God then

  188. decides to use you. Wow. Imagine missing out the plans that God has

  189. installed for your future just because you cannot endure something in your life. And

  190. as human, I'm sorry to say, we will definitely hit that day end

  191. eventually, however, not this. We need our bodies to die, our

  192. selfish desires to die, and our fleshless longings to die before we can recipe

  193. resurrecting him. I don't know how many of you heard this term before,

  194. where it says that everything that happens is in God's plan, right, But

  195. how many of you know that some of his plans are plans that you may

  196. not think are his plans. Let me pay an example to you. I've

  197. just been given the privilege to lead the teens Ministry. Okay, it is

  198. not my cup of tea, but I love the teens in my heart,

  199. but I show it not That's something I have to work on. But imagine

  200. after one month, God comes and say, give up the teen's ministry,

  201. go and serve the other people in this specific area. But what would your

  202. first response be, Okay, God, let me pray avoid or would you

  203. say, devil, get behind me, don't interrupt my plan. This is

  204. my ministry, this is what God has given to me. This is what

  205. God has anointed me for in this season. And now you're trying to mess

  206. up my mind and say that it is not for me. How many of

  207. you have been in the visiation for because I have in the plenty. The

  208. voice of God is so obvious. But sometimes the selfish desires that is within

  209. the heart of man, which is so deceitful. The heart is deceitful if

  210. you don't know that already, And the heart is so deceitful that sometimes even

  211. the owner can be messed up, the owner itself, the owner of the

  212. very heart, can be deceived. That is the deceitfulness of the heart.

  213. So sometimes God allows what you fear to come upon you, to bring death

  214. to you, because without the death, he won't be able to use you,

  215. He won't be able to use you fully. Okay, there are certain

  216. people who are used by God definitely, And did they die to theirself?

  217. No. God hardened Pharaoh's heart when the Israelites were trying to escape free from

  218. captivity, but God hardened. There was an intentional usage of God to so

  219. and so the people that are not of God any difference between death and a

  220. believer who believes it. Firstly, who abide in the hiding place, who

  221. stays with God invites the Holy Spirit into them. The difference is that they

  222. get to enjoy the fruits of what has been promised to men, which is

  223. the glorification of God. And ultimately there is no death. There's an everlasting

  224. life that comes with death. I can't say the same about people that don't

  225. believe in Christ. Right, So, WI which part do we want to

  226. be in? I hope and pray that the answer is obvious is sayah for

  227. the tree one to two. But now that says the Lord who created you,

  228. old Jacob, and he formed you, Old Israel, fear not.

  229. I redeem you, and we fast forward to UH. When you walk through

  230. the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the faith the flames

  231. courts you. Now, the question here is how do we die? Right?

  232. It's easy to say die to self, die to self, die to

  233. sell, die to sell, But how do you actually die? Okay,

  234. again not physically. How do you actually die in your spirit to the things

  235. that doesn't matter, that are not from God? How do you actually do

  236. that? Now, as I was reading this verse, it was as I

  237. was meditating on it. I remember how I was in the office, in

  238. my new office, and as I was reading it, and I and I

  239. and I felt a sensation that it was very it was getting very hot.

  240. Of course, then we realized that the econ was working are but it was

  241. getting very hot. And started I started thinking in my heart, like,

  242. what what is this verse trying to say? Because the Bible is very interesting.

  243. The bio may say certain things, but what you catch from it me

  244. and you may be different. Right, So what I caught for me it

  245. was the fire and when when it's in the verse, it doesn't say when

  246. you run through the fire. It doesn't say when you swim through the fire.

  247. He says when you walk through the fire. And in the King's version

  248. it's even more illustrative. He says, when you walk off through the fire,

  249. walk off right, And I and and I when I find out what

  250. was the meaning of that means take your time, slowly, just walk.

  251. There's the reason why the Bible asks you to walk through the fire. That's

  252. because that I interpret in this way that God allows the fire to burn your

  253. ego, to burn yourself right, to burn your selfish desires. Until one

  254. day when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned. So

  255. until and unless you can say this verse out loud, and when you walk

  256. through the fire and there's nothing that's burning you and you're keeping on track with

  257. God and true God, he will empower each and everyone of you. Amen.

  258. But if there's something that is burning, you, allow the fire of

  259. the Holy Spirit to burn your desires. Allow. That means sometimes it may

  260. be hard. For example, it may be hard to give up this job.

  261. Friends, it was hard to up my job winselector introduce me atleast.

  262. And he said that when God spoke to me, I immediately say yes,

  263. that's not the truth. I did not immediately say yes. It was very

  264. hard. I struggled very very long. I didn't really immediately. It was

  265. a long path. It was from July onwards where the thing first came.

  266. Before that, I was all about making money. I mean, who doesn't

  267. love money, right? Anyone doesn't love money? Here? Wow, you

  268. all are such humble servants of God. But I love money. I'll get

  269. every single one of you. May not love money, but I love money.

  270. I love money so much that sometimes I forsake God to earn more money.

  271. Here's me washing my dirty linen, so you don't have to wash,

  272. but there's me. That's my heart. My heart is deceitful. Mean to

  273. say you, if I, if just I take out this offering to give

  274. into the niacity giving right, then my FD will not get my free chicken

  275. rice. So I wait for my f D to mature. Then you take

  276. it out. Hello, by the way, from my efty to mature and

  277. energacy giving God really lie. So that's fly desires. I just reveal one

  278. of the worst secrets to you, but know that I eventually gave fly,

  279. but I get my chicken rices. So that is the ego, okay,

  280. the ego that you have to allow, the self, that you have to

  281. allow, the desires, the flashly, the things that are not of God.

  282. You have to allow it. And intentionally it's painful, but just take

  283. it out of the FD for goodness sake, stick it out and put it

  284. into It's painful, yes, but take it out. It's just a chicken

  285. rice. How many of you If it's not chicken rice, how about right

  286. level it up? Is a Gucci bag, the Lord say, take your

  287. gucci back and give it to the poor. Because the poor can sell a

  288. Gucci back and buy breakfast for a hundred days. How many of you will

  289. intentionally take your good chip and sell Okay, I'm not going to pinpoint any

  290. names here, but it's just when we are in this place where we have

  291. experienced, when we have tasted and seen, not that the Lord is good,

  292. but we have tasted seen the things of we will it will always be

  293. there. And I just want to encourage your friends that this fire is here

  294. not for you to express lane toush and go rif I did through it,

  295. But this fire is here for you to be immersed in it, immerse in

  296. it, and go through the fire. There's a reason why the Bible has

  297. so many things got to do with fire. Even Daniel and his three friends,

  298. the three fans, shouldn't misre and manego. They had to go through

  299. the fire as well. And only when they went through the fire they met

  300. with Jesus. If they did not go through the fire, they will not

  301. have met with cheese. So there's a lot of things that fire can do,

  302. and fire this can be another message in itself. But allow the fire

  303. to burn you as you watch your enemies prosper and do well around you.

  304. Allow the fire to take away all the desires that may look good on the

  305. outside but are not of him. Your enemies are prospering. When you say,

  306. the person who's bay you, the person who laughed at you, the

  307. person who robbed you. There's a reason why the Bible asks us to love

  308. our enemies. You know, there's a reason. There's a reason for everything.

  309. The reason is that it is not about what is good or what is

  310. bad. It's about what is God. So there is a bigger agenda than

  311. proving a point. God is just. God is not interested in just proving

  312. a point for proving a point sake. He is not when someone else around

  313. you do well, Just say, God, bless you whatever it is,

  314. even though it may be your enemy. Later, we're gonna pray for if

  315. anyone here has the spirit of unforgiveness, or if anything that is binding you,

  316. We're gonna pray for that. We're gonna take the time to minister to

  317. anyone here who needs it. But I just want to encourage you and really

  318. just preach my heart to you that there is no place for unforgiveness in the

  319. King of God. There is no place. And unforgiveness is one of the

  320. things that can bring apart. Families can bring about, friends bring apart life,

  321. and sometimes even to the extent where there's no more relationship whatsoever. That's

  322. what unforgiveness does your heart, Trust me, I've experienced it personally. We

  323. are ultimately called to love Him and with that love for Him guiding us,

  324. we are called to make disciples of all nations. That is the ultimate commission

  325. that God has given to each an areaon of us believers. Right, But

  326. how do we do that if we can't even die to ourselves? How can

  327. we reach there? If we can't even die there? So how to die

  328. to yourself? Number One, You've got to allow the fire to burn you,

  329. burn your your desires. And when I say that, you have to

  330. make decisions there are not something that you're used to eat, takes you out

  331. of your comfort zone. Allowed the fire the world youre. Number Two,

  332. you have to love God. You have to love God, not just on

  333. the outside, not just on a Sunday. It most importantly is what happens

  334. when you are face to face with your spouse and something bad happens. Do

  335. you still love God? Because if you love God, you will remember that

  336. God said love God and love artists as you love yourself. Do you still

  337. love your spouse, or your family, or children, or your friends if

  338. they have done something to upset you, something that may be unforgivable. Friends,

  339. let me break something to you. Each and every one of us here

  340. has unforgivable silliness. The day that you eat of this fruit, you shall

  341. surely die. Not just eat it, eat and touch. So each and

  342. every one of us, by right, we have no hope and no future.

  343. But it's because of what Jesus done, and Jesus also had to die.

  344. Jesus is so had to die. I'm going to be drawing from Daniel

  345. uh chapter one. If your Bibles with you, can you turn to Daniel

  346. chapter one and we're gonna read through, and we're going to see how the

  347. application of death applied to Daniel. All right, in the third year of

  348. the reign of Jahokaiam, king of Judah never not the King of Babylon,

  349. came to Jerusalem and besieged it ursue, and the Lord gave, and the

  350. Lord gave. The Lord gave k King or Judah into his hands with some

  351. articles, which is furnitures of the house, which he carried into the land

  352. of China to the house of his God. And he brought articles into the

  353. treasure house of his God. Well, how humiliating, imagina your enemia.

  354. There's someone that has taken everything from you, which is not fair. He

  355. lied to be in this position, and yet he came to you, slaughtered

  356. your entire career, and then on top of death, took your position,

  357. took your office, took things that mattered to you, and then take it

  358. and parmeican as he put it up in his office. That's what happened.

  359. Now, do you think the Lord Lord is God of all? Yeah,

  360. wee Jehovah, this god that is so great and so mighty. Do you

  361. think he doesn't have the power to defend Jerusalem, the Temple of God,

  362. the temple that has been built for so many years on the mobile temple,

  363. Moses building the mobile and then suddenly finally settling down a Solomon building temple,

  364. and then now suddenly this temple is to be destroyed and the Lord gave it

  365. up willingly. We have to know who wrote the Book of Daniel. Now,

  366. no prizes for any guesses, but it was Daniel, right, And

  367. Daniel was around ninety years old when he wrote this book. So therefore,

  368. when Daniel wrote verse two and the Lord gave me, Daniel knew. Daniel

  369. knew that it is indeed God's plan to give up this city because because there

  370. is actually a sin that the Israelites in Judah. Right, it was the

  371. city of Judah that they did something that the Lord said, don't do.

  372. Don't commit adultere honor the Sabbath. You have not missed the Sabbath. And

  373. God did not just immediately punish them. God sent prophets one by one to

  374. tell them, hey, repent of your sins, stop worshiping idols, protect

  375. the Sabbath. But yet time and time again, the people of God,

  376. these are God's own people, forsake him and say, nah, no,

  377. thanks, I have do my own thing. So the Lord had to bring

  378. death to his own house in order for it to be rebuilt much later.

  379. You know that the temple of the Temple of God was rebuilt much later.

  380. Right, Let's go on to Verse trade then, the King instructed as furnace.

  381. There I look at my wasch Agan, the masters of his learna to

  382. bring some of his children of Israel, and some of the King's descendants and

  383. some of the nobles young men in whom there was no blemish. But I

  384. got to emphasize this last. Sorry, but good looking, gifted in all

  385. wisdom, possession, honors. I just wanted to say that, because you

  386. know yourtimunity. They found Daniel. So that's where Daniel is actually good looking,

  387. uh, gifted in all wisdom. That's why my father, mother name

  388. and Daniel, okay, and the King appointed them for them a daily provision.

  389. Even the King knew that the things of this world had to be daily.

  390. You know what more, you and God a daily provision of the King's

  391. delicacies and of the wine which he drank. And the three years of training.

  392. Wow, now this book, God Lord training right for them, so

  393. that they at the end of that they may serve before the King. How

  394. many of you here, If the King call you comingtself is spellers, you

  395. raise your hands in mellly and go say yes, King, I go.

  396. Let's say the king'spellers ask her you go and go and do service for them.

  397. Shot La is the king La of course Malaysia king, and we bless

  398. the Kingla, not like England or bless the Queen. But uh, but

  399. however, it's such a great deal. It's the king's palace. It's something

  400. that that is really of significance. So that were my again. The king

  401. appointed a daily provision and the wine in which he drank for three years of

  402. training. So Daniel had to go through all of this, right, Daniel

  403. had to go through Daniel his friends and the youth. Okay, not just

  404. him, it was all his kaki. He was his oldesla okay, basically

  405. all the good looking young people okay and smart. So all of you had

  406. to go to Babylon and you had to eat off the king's delicacies. Wow,

  407. how many of you want a nice poplar? You know? Uh?

  408. Our liss is nice? Still your la my mom my mom's cooking la uh

  409. And and it's very nice. It's very nice, and it's something that maybe

  410. you wouldn't be even even able to reason. Here's here we go towards my

  411. second boind for the day, which is what is the actual evidence of death.

  412. It's easy to say die your self It's easy to know how to die

  413. you self. But what is the actual evidence that you have died? Have

  414. you ever asked ourself that question? What is the actual evidence that you have

  415. died? To self? The Bible says that there must be fruits. The

  416. fruits will show what this person actually is. There is fruits that came out

  417. of this person, and the Lord will bless. But what is the evidence

  418. of death? What is the evidence of submission? Total submission? Let me

  419. break it to you. In verse eight, he says, but Daniel purpose

  420. in his heart that he would not default himself. We have established that Daniel.

  421. Now in scriptry round further. He then says that Daniel and his friends

  422. Dreed, Miche and Menego was part of a royal family. They're of royal

  423. pre so they themselves are like kings. Okay, let's put it that way.

  424. And because of their royal status, it's sometimes very hard for a royal

  425. status to wait in the queue when there's a tarry gem. Surely the police

  426. will come and move everybody out so that they can have a very FASc laateing.

  427. You'r a field what I'm talking about now? In Malaysia, that's the

  428. thing always say why can't you wait? Like every single one of us?

  429. Okay, anyways, the royal family, there is a status stairs on Daniel

  430. and his friends. He not just had to go through the status. He

  431. had to go through a place in which he lost everything and everyone that he

  432. has ever loved or you know, had any love for. He also lost

  433. all his possessions. I would believe, not on to all that he had

  434. to become a slave, a servant. Right, How would that affect a

  435. man's ego? How would that affect you? You are already treated so unjustly,

  436. You are already treated with so much disrespect. How are you going to

  437. react now? This is the police wrongly? Someone mean? Or so I

  438. already like make a big deal until the cows can come home? But what

  439. is it that kept Daniel in this place of submission? In this place or

  440. knowing that, hey, this is all part of God's plan and not just

  441. that submitting to the authorities, Submit to the people that above him, Submit

  442. to the instruction that's given to him until and unless it defies or or it

  443. goes against the principles of God. Because God did not teach him you shall

  444. not subject the authority He did not teach him that he subjected to authority.

  445. The only thing that he said, I purpose in my heart not to defoul

  446. myself is an instruction from God. Do not worship other idols. Do not

  447. defile yourself, Do not be in this place in which you don't protect the

  448. Sabbath. Daniel and his friends purpose in their heart that they shall not defail

  449. himself. Of course, there are many studies. Why is eating made defiling

  450. themselves? We don't know. But the Book of Daniel does heavily hint that

  451. maybe some of these food will offered to idols. And that's why by eating

  452. of the food, it actually you know, it's like you're worshiping idols.

  453. Again, these are just some commentaries on it, but there is the evidence.

  454. There is the evidence that Daniel actually died to hisself. If he did

  455. not die to himself, he wouldn't have to be able to immediately tell the

  456. master unit saying that I let me think about it and let me pray about

  457. it immediately. You know, you know this. There was no prayer,

  458. There was no thought immediate, now urgent. Now I make my decision now

  459. to follow Christ. I made my division now that I will not defound myself.

  460. No, I would think about it and I'll pray about it. That's

  461. the evidence of death in Daniel's life. What is the evidence of death in

  462. your life? I believe it took all of Daniel's heart to be fully surrendered

  463. in order for this disuine to make as it was three whole years that he

  464. had to be tested. And of course I believe that it was not just

  465. three years that Daniel abided by God's componements. Much later in Daniel, when

  466. he was being unfairly uh, there were people were just very were jealous of

  467. him, and you were telling the king, hey, you know this man,

  468. he worshiped another god. He didn't worship you. And therefore this whole

  469. story of the lines then. Okay, But Daniel, we much later found

  470. out that he actually had accustomed seeing these early days, he prayed three times

  471. a day. It was a customer ryting, he prayed. I'm going to

  472. I'm going to show you a little bit something about prayer a little bit further.

  473. But on application of our lives, on our lives, there needs to

  474. be a constant surrender, a constant endurance. You don't just die one time.

  475. This is not your low Okay, this is you die every day every

  476. time hyde Okay, so this is the the concept of death that has to

  477. follow you, because if for one day you do not die to yourself,

  478. then if that one day comes, Remember earlier I mentioned it's very sad.

  479. If God comes to you and you're not ready. You're caught with your pens

  480. down like what I like to say, you're caught with no oil in your

  481. lamps. In Revelation it says you're caught naked running around, as as when

  482. Jesus comes back again, you're running around. You're you're not ready for his

  483. return. So let us be very wary on that, okay. And I

  484. strongly believe that this is in fact one of his prayers to God. Whenever

  485. Daniel came to God and pray to him. I'm not looking at scripture now,

  486. just by my memory. Is always about giving thanks to God. It's

  487. never about God helped me in this matter. God wi the enemies against me.

  488. God knows yours. Always about giving thanks giving glory to God first and

  489. foremost. And as he done that, as he did that, you can

  490. see the evidence of God's life in his life. Of God's hand is his

  491. life. So what is the evidence of death in Luke nine twenty three.

  492. He says, then he said to them all, if anyone desires to come

  493. after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross what daily daily?

  494. Take up his cross and follow me. There's a trend of daily daily

  495. manna, daily bread, daily cross. Everything that you have to do is

  496. daily. Even the world knows that you have to eat of the worlds that

  497. look at his daily. So which are you gonna choose? My flesh and

  498. my heart may feel some says this, But God is the strength of my

  499. heart. Forever. There is an act of surrender that has to happen in

  500. our lives and atter and completely reliance on God. And you will seek me

  501. and find me when you search me with all your heart. Jeremiah twenty nine

  502. thirteen. All how to die the self? You may say, you have

  503. to die to everything that ever comes in the way of God. And you

  504. know you know what is that thing. I can say this because I know

  505. no one else will know what is in my heart except God. Even my

  506. wife will know me. Fully, there are things that only God knows,

  507. and those are the things that you have to surrender. He is the God

  508. of the universe. Why are you ashamed of pouring out your dirty linen to

  509. him? But of course we go on further as we're making disciples, as

  510. you pour the God account to someone, because you got to live your life

  511. holy and acceptable to him. You have to die to each and everything that

  512. is in the way of your call that God has in stall for you.

  513. I try to google how to say die and Tamil, I really love it.

  514. I'm not gonna attempt to say it. It's a beautiful language and uh,

  515. really it is. Uh. And I would like to give you a

  516. tough process on this. Good or bad? Is it on a slide?

  517. Good or bad? We're not just talking about the good or the bad things

  518. in your life. You're not just talking about that because more often than not,

  519. Christians, as believers, we often sacrifice the bad things. I mean,

  520. you say, we sacrifice things that we know are of the devil,

  521. But what about the good things? Let me break something in you, do

  522. you know? Reading too much of this the word of God, the Lord

  523. Assa, the spoken word of God. Reading too much of this without actually

  524. immersing into it can be an idol. It's just knowledge. You're just gaining

  525. hait knowledge in the New Testament in the say you search the entire Old Testament

  526. for salvation, but yet you do not find it. The book has life,

  527. but you have to be immersed and be burned. Is to be inscribed

  528. into your being, and that's when it has power. Jeremiah seventeen nine to

  529. ten. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Who

  530. can know it either, Lord, search the heart, I test the mind,

  531. and even give to every man according to his face and according to his

  532. fruits of history. Your heart is this soful? Friends, if you're reallying

  533. on your heart to bring you every time there's a statement in the world,

  534. now this right trusts your heart? Yeah, your heart is deceitdful of friends,

  535. trust in God. Do not trust in your heart. Your heart is

  536. deceitful, and even the owner can be deceived. The share a few things

  537. to take note of. If we are alive in ourselves, we are not

  538. dead to it. If we are alive in ourselves, we're not dead to

  539. it. We're either alive or dead. It's a little things in life that

  540. this stress us at times, even believe us. Wow, it is proof

  541. that we are alive in ourselves. So there is evidence of death, there

  542. is also evidence of life. Quite contrast. Right, Sometimes, what we

  543. speak about life life life, but this life is not the everlasting life.

  544. You know, I'm talking about your physical life, your longings or desires.

  545. This person didn't greet me at the doll ah. Wow, he distrected this

  546. respected me. You know, never eat my food that I could want him?

  547. You know who am I not? I'm kid you you know, for

  548. I served the King's house and all, and you don't want my food.

  549. Oh? They never invite me for homes. Oh, I know this.

  550. This person looked down at me a lot. Now, I tell you something

  551. fun fact, I look down a lot of people because I'm quite told.

  552. So just setting that marryed it for me. Yeah. So this, this

  553. person looked down me. This person really upset me. Wow. And we

  554. let that take our focus away from what really matters. We let that stop

  555. the death. It's you know, because when we start having discount of thoughts

  556. and then it fests from something so small, it then grows into something that's

  557. so poisonous. And then one day you say, I will never talk to

  558. this person ever again. Well, low, it was just about eating a

  559. Footlet come on, it's the little thing. Sometimes you would be surprised.

  560. I was surprised about the things that I'm angry about until I got married.

  561. I found out that I'm actually quite emotional and sensitive. Dude, so small,

  562. So upset are you? Oh? I tell you, if I look

  563. at myself in the middle, I will slap me two times, tight face.

  564. And the Bible says, off, I saw set myself the resid So

  565. that is that is just the insignificance of things that actually matter. But sometimes

  566. it eats us, and it can come in the way of God's plead for

  567. us. I hope and pray that it's not you. And if it's it's

  568. you, like me, we're all needing of His grace and his strength.

  569. Amen. Collusions three one four. Are you set on seeking things that are

  570. which are above? To say, your minds on things above, not on

  571. things of this earth. For you died and your life is hidden with Christ

  572. in God. When Christ, who is, when Christ, who is our

  573. lives appear, then you will also appear in glory. There's a trend for

  574. everything that Jesus does. If you want to have the ultimate example, we

  575. look to Jesus. The life of Jesus Jesus never looked for fame. Jesus

  576. was here for one purpose and one purpose only, which is to die for

  577. us, to die for us. Since every time he perform a miracle,

  578. every time there was a time in which he fed the five thousand, and

  579. then the people around you was like, I'm going to can you be king?

  580. Come and be king? What did Jesus do? He went away,

  581. He went the opposite of the fame to spend time with God. You realize

  582. that every single miracle that God, that Jesus did was only to glorify the

  583. Father and not himself. He was God, you know, let me pain

  584. in your picture. He was God. You know he's not not was he

  585. and is to come. He is God. Jesus is God. But yet

  586. everything that he didn't on this earth is to glorifind the Father. You can

  587. see the submission that came when Jesus was here on earth. He knew that

  588. he had a purpose. He knew that he had to be subjected under the

  589. authority of the Father. That is the power of being fully submitted, fully

  590. surrendered. Jesus was fully surrendered point of a tree. The earlier service didn't

  591. get to see this. But what comes as a product of death to self.

  592. What can we look forward to right now that we have died, now

  593. that we are fully surrendered, now that we have given up everything, what

  594. can we look forward to? Let me show you something. And before I

  595. show you something, I'm going to give you an analogy. Now, how

  596. many of you have a water dispenser at home? Let's talk about this water

  597. dispenser? God a companting gay, go way go away? Okay, I

  598. saw go away? Very nice? You know got co water of the very

  599. nice? Do you trust in this water dispenser? It be true? Be

  600. true? Vu la trust not? I trust you know because everythime I go

  601. down and water I can get. Trust. Okay, Let's just imagine there's

  602. an over flowing water supply going in every single time. You will never run

  603. dry. Okay, then let me ask you cet you again? Do you

  604. trust what the dispenser will give you water when you want it? Yes,

  605. because you go there, try to drink. Anytime you need water, you

  606. just go to the dispenser and water comes out. Anytime a damn machine.

  607. Anytime you go to the ADM, you put your cut in, money come

  608. out. Let's if you're come got money, Ella if you can't got money,

  609. every time you go to them, you put your every time money come

  610. out. Okay, there's much better the moment. You can be a dispenser

  611. for God. You will never be empty. Anytime God wants to use you,

  612. You're there. Any time God wants you, you are ready. You

  613. can only reach there if you have died, because if God comes to you,

  614. imagine God comes to you. I want to drink water. Lord today

  615. is cyber, cannot do anything. Hello, the Lord will pass you by.

  616. Lah Next person please, next person? Please? Why do you want

  617. to be? Next person? Please? I pray and pray that it will

  618. convict your heart. That. But the wonderful thing of our father in heaven

  619. is that he's full of chrace. It's full of grace, full of second

  620. chances. Even the person that was convicted right beside Jesus had a chance,

  621. even him. So he's full of grace. T T T. Take what's

  622. the word Rachel comfort in that? Thank you? My English is just horrible.

  623. Romans ninet twenty one. Does the pater not have power over the clay

  624. some for the same lum to make one vessels for honor and another for this

  625. honor. Friends, we are created to contain the power of the Holy Spirit.

  626. We are contained, We are created to be vessels for His glory.

  627. The only thing that can feel us is not the love of your love ones.

  628. The only thing that can fill our hearts is the Spirit. It's God.

  629. There's a God shaped void creator in each and everyone of you here,

  630. And the only thing I can feel it is God. But we are created

  631. to contain the power the Spirit. And I pray, and I pray,

  632. and I pray that our the abundance of your heart. Now the heart is

  633. deceitful, but you surrender the heart, and you allow the heart to be

  634. a vessel for God. And therefore what comes out of death is abundance of

  635. life. It's abundance of living water, vessels for His glory. As we

  636. drink and taste of this water, we shall never never ever toast again.

  637. Amen. First Corinthians six nineteen to twenty. I know time is running out,

  638. but just bear me in another five minutes. Do you not know that

  639. the temple is the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from

  640. God and not of your own, for your bought at a price. Therefore,

  641. glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are of gods.

  642. This is the part where they always like to use to me when I

  643. haven't worked out, they say, hey, you're a temple holy spirit.

  644. How are you Why you're not working out? Why it's so fat? Go

  645. and eat some more protein and come and work out at me. I would

  646. like to do that to me, But that he doesn't. Ah, my

  647. wife does. Ah. But if you carry the grace and anointing, that,

  648. if you want to carry the grace and anointing, that will bring a

  649. generation, generation being Matthew twenty eight to make disciples of all nations, a

  650. generation not just your at church, not just your friends, a generation under

  651. the authority of Christ to fulfill his purpose for him to be used by him.

  652. It will take more than just services. It will take and just homes.

  653. It will take more than just good Bible study. Right. It will

  654. take more than just lifting weights well. It will think more than just being

  655. able to communicate well. You will take more than just everything well in this

  656. world. It will take there is a track record in the spirit that it

  657. will take a signature that is signed in blood, which is a proof of

  658. death. That's what it would take. That is what you would take Paul

  659. said, let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the

  660. marks of Lord Jesus, a mark, a brand that Paul is indeed a

  661. follow of Jesus Christ. I pray that in revelations there are two types of

  662. marks. One is the mark of the Father and the lamb. Another is

  663. the mark of the anti Christ and the sixty six number. It's not a

  664. literal mark, but it's a mark in the spirit. I pray that it

  665. will choose God, we will choose life, we will choose Jesus. Amen,

  666. come back to Daniel. And this is where I'm gonna close verse seventeen

  667. of chapter one. As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge

  668. and skill and in all literature and wisdom. And Daniel had understanding in all

  669. visions and dreams. Now what is Daniel famous for? What is Daniel famous

  670. for? Come on, He's famous in interpreting dreams, right, visions.

  671. He's a man of prayer. But on top of that, he can interpret

  672. dreams. He was so ganger and tour he can tell you what is your

  673. dream and interprey for you. Sama. That is why he was gifted with

  674. But where did he get his anointing from the Bible does not say that when

  675. he when he was a young boy, he can interpret dreams. No,

  676. the Bible says that God gave them knowledge and skill in literay and wisdom,

  677. and then they had an some thing in all visions and dreams. After they

  678. chose not to defail themselves, and for three years they were trained in literature.

  679. But they were not just trained in the ways of this world. God

  680. gave them something so much higher. Daniel had a specific authority, not like

  681. the tree vans. Daniel was the one that had intimate dreams and visions,

  682. but the rest they were smart. But it only came because of his sacrifice

  683. to God, his sacrifice to himself, his sacrifices. It's such a simple

  684. thing, not to defile yourself. Sometimes we over complicate things in Christianity.

  685. We over complicate it, but sometimes God just wants your obedience, and there's

  686. a reord for your obedience. Imagine if Daniel did not say, I'm gonna

  687. purpose in my heart, I'm afraid that the annoying thing or the ability to

  688. interpret visions and dreams may not even come or fall on him. Everything that

  689. he did after Daniel Chapter one was all about interpreting visions and interpreting dreams.

  690. You think about it, The product of not dying to self is God's fool

  691. anointing, God's fool calling that he has installed for your life. The will

  692. that He has written for you and for you has been established because it is

  693. a product of dying to yourself. In next chapter nineteen, it says,

  694. so now we know about the product dying sold I'm going to share you the

  695. product not dying yourself. There was a bunch of jokers that they thought that

  696. they can cast out evil spirit. Okay, so they saw they saw earlier

  697. in Mark. Okay, wow, this this is that the power, the

  698. power in the nail Jesus can cast out demerens. Right, so they go

  699. and try. Okay x nineteen, the thing we exercise you by Jesus whom

  700. Paul preachers, and then the evils will answered, Jesus, I know all

  701. I know, But who are you are? Who are you? Then?

  702. The man whom the evil spirit was lived on them, or power them preval

  703. against them, so that they fled out the house naked and woundered. You

  704. tried to use the name of Jesus in when this is all what happened to

  705. you. You tried to use the name of Jesus without dying yourself. This

  706. is all happened to you. You will be burnt and I and because of

  707. the Lord's grace, I pray that it's burned for his glory. The sons

  708. of Skiver did not have a personal relationship Jesus. You know that. How

  709. they cast out the name the demons They said, you are the Paul.

  710. You are the paul in you exercise you by the name by Jesus, whom

  711. Paul. It was Paul's Jesus, It wasn't there, Jesus. There's no

  712. personal encounter with God apparently, fun fact, evil spirits know who the enemies

  713. are. Okay, what is Satan really afraid of? Jesus the word of

  714. God, the Lord God, the spoken word of God. And yet Satan

  715. was still Jesus, still fellowship with him. Fella's rings the wrong word,

  716. but bringing her up in the mountain. Find out what he wants to eat,

  717. find out what he wants to drink, hold his hand, show him

  718. the mountain, show him the cities. Hey, Satan is not just afraid

  719. of this, you know. Find out what Setan is really afraid of James

  720. four six to seven. God resists the proud, but gives grace to humble.

  721. Therefore, submit to God. Resists the devil, and he will flee

  722. from you. What is the key. It's the submission to the word of

  723. God. Jesus himself had to submit. Let's look at Matthew four eight to

  724. ten. In short, in verse ten, he says, away with you,

  725. Satan that's resisting, and he said, you shall worship the Lord your

  726. God, and him only shall yourself submission. So it ties back to James

  727. in which you have to submit to God and then resist the devil. Submit

  728. to God. If you're all to God and then Jesus, and then God

  729. will work in you. Summit to God, resist temptation, Summit to God.

  730. Flee from your full loss, Summit to God. Do the things of

  731. God in this world. You are in this world, but you're not off

  732. this world. Submission to God is the key. Submission also means sacrifice.

  733. Sacrifice also means death. You have to die to yourself fully in order to

  734. say that you submit to God because you can't submit whole half heartedly. You

  735. can't. It just doesn't work that way. You give to caesars. Why

  736. Jesus, that's right. But you give to God what is God. You

  737. can never serve men and God at the same time. You can never serve

  738. amendment and God at the same time. Glorify him, friends, summit to

  739. him, give your all to him. And I pray and I pray and

  740. I pray that we won't be like the story in Metal, in which that

  741. there will a story about a wedding and long story cuts short. The person

  742. that will invited. Everyone was invited, you know, to the wedding in

  743. Mathew, don't need two And this person just came with his T shirt and

  744. his underwear and just being essurating here. But and then the king come out.

  745. He say and say, why are you not wearing the thing that I've

  746. given you? Because it's Jewish custom that they will actually give the people that

  747. come, they will give some kind of ropela, the wedding garment. They

  748. say, why he didn't give the why didn't we wear the wedding comman,

  749. what did he say? He say nothing? He was quiet. You know,

  750. sometimes your mother or your fathers called you for those of you who are

  751. older, just remenies, remedies in the olden days when they scholl you and

  752. you're nothing to say. That's because you're really guilty. They say nothing better

  753. to say. You can't even fight? Of course, you know I all

  754. correct. So you were just quiet. No, there wasn't even a single

  755. amount of remots. Well sorry I left you behind. Sorry Lord, No,

  756. just quiet? What did God did? What did? What? What

  757. happened to him? The King casts him out, and there will be neshing

  758. of teeth and cast him the outer darkness. For many a cult and feel

  759. chosen. We often called scripture a lot, but this is where it came

  760. from. God desires everyone to come to the saving grace of the knowledge of

  761. Jesus. Everyone. He desires a relationship with every one of you. But

  762. it's unfortunate that many are called, but few are chosen. We hope you've

  763. been blessed by this message. For more information on our church, please visit
