  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day. If you've got the Bibles with you, can

  3. you please learn to Deutronomy chapter six, verse chapter one to nine. Okay,

  4. before I start, I want to share with you that I'm here to

  5. serve you. I am here. Yes, I'm a pastor of the church.

  6. I'm giving leadership to the church in PJ. It's a privilege. But

  7. I'm here to serve you. I'm not here to serve myself. It's not

  8. easy being a pastor. I'm not here to serve my own wants and desires.

  9. If I have, I have done a lot of other things ready,

  10. But I'm here to serve you. And that's what us as leaders are called

  11. to do. We're here to serve the people. Your home. Leaders,

  12. they are there to serve you. You got to remember that. Then we're

  13. not here to lord over you. The Lord will do that. We don't

  14. even do that. You know, We're not here to do any of that.

  15. We're here to serve you. So I hope you you catch that.

  16. And when we deliver the word, and when we deliver different things, and

  17. when we minister to you, know that that's the call of it, you

  18. know. Uh, it's important to understand that because sometimes we have a we

  19. have a very warp perception over leadership. And then I realized that, hey,

  20. you know, actually the leaders are the servants. Know, so imagine

  21. now leaders have to serve so very you know, so like stooping close close

  22. to the floor, and then later on we also have demands from the ground.

  23. So it's double with me, you know. Uh, and sometimes can

  24. be very difficult. But I just even as I was praying, I just

  25. felt like I needed to tell you that that I'm here to serve you.

  26. And it's okay to call me on and ask for a prayer. It's okay

  27. to to to let me know if you have a need. It's okay one,

  28. you know, because you know those of us who have answered the call

  29. for leadership. Uh. That's what Jesus said, right when the brothers or

  30. brothers of Thunder, I think in the Bible asks, oh, you know,

  31. can I sit on your right hand and your left hand and just just

  32. look at them and say, wherever you sit. It's not for me to

  33. decide. It is my father, But you serve, you know. And

  34. he even told peter Uh to feed if you love him, feed my lambs,

  35. if you love him, you know, feed his sheep. You know,

  36. right, that's what he asked us to do. And that's why we're

  37. here. Okay, so do you trying me? Chapter six, verse one

  38. to nine. Sorry, I ain't never done that yet, now you guys,

  39. Okay, I go half an hour, I'll do I'll do well.

  40. Okay, he says, Heah. Now this is the commandment, and these

  41. are the statues and judgments which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you.

  42. Then you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to

  43. possess. Then you may fear the Lord your God to keep all his statues

  44. and his commandments, which I command you, you and your son and your

  45. grandson, all the days of your life, that your days may be prolonged.

  46. Okay, I'm gonna stop here. So what does it say? Basically,

  47. if you read deutronomy, it is the first time is basically God just

  48. brought the Israelites out of Egypt, and it is and he's calling them his

  49. own people. And this is the first few times right where he actually has

  50. a lot at time with them. True Moses okay, and later on joshah

  51. at time, meaning that this is where I tell you the rules. This

  52. is what you do a lot, a lot if you read deutronomy level dig

  53. us, it's all about that. This is how the temple look like.

  54. And he annoys and he gives a resources to the people to be able to

  55. follow whatever he asked him do. And he gave them a lot loss right,

  56. And just imagine they've never hurt any other law and all, and he's

  57. delivering to them the Ten Commandments, you know, sharing about the and this

  58. talks about the greatest comment and he's basically handing over. So imagine when you

  59. have a child and you're trying to teach your child something. It is just

  60. like that. It is new information and they might not remember it. It's

  61. totally new information. Boy, do these do that, don't do this to

  62. do that. You know. I'm learning that right now with my second son.

  63. Got my first son very compliant. You tell me one, he'll do

  64. it one. But my second son kind of need remind us law, you

  65. know, and I'm learning and I'm trying to learn how to teach him without

  66. getting angry, you know, And it's very important that we try to do

  67. that. We teach you know so that people know. So consider today a

  68. teaching that you will know. Because as I was praying and asking, I

  69. always I tell you, I tell you when you come, you can ask

  70. my every time. Come prepare message. I ask it one come, my

  71. Lord, please give me the right words to say. It has to be

  72. from you, not me. You know, it has to be something that

  73. you will give to your people. Because remember I said, I'm here to

  74. serve you. I'm here to serve you. Amen, You guys receive that.

  75. Okay. Therefore here o Israel, and be careful to observe it,

  76. that it may be well with you and that you may multiply greatly as the

  77. Lord of your father's has promised. You. See, there is a radly

  78. a promise, there is a really a promise that they will multiply. And

  79. God even say, if you follow these your the days of your life will

  80. be prolonged. So let me give you this thing again, Bible. Bible

  81. say not Isaiah. If the days of a person's life is cut short,

  82. right cut short, sometimes you ask the question why, and we live it

  83. to faith. But if we want the days of our life to be prolonged.

  84. Then we gotta follow these to the tea. Then we follow God's statutes

  85. and commandments. You know a lot of things have been said. Ready,

  86. amen. Okay, here, oh Israel. Oh sorry, a land flowing

  87. with milk and honey. Okay, here, oh Israel, the Lord your

  88. God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with

  89. all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength. And

  90. these words which I commanded you today shall be in your heart. You shall

  91. teach them diligently to your children, and you shall talk of them when you

  92. sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when

  93. you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as

  94. a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

  95. You shall write them on the doppos of your house and on your gaze.

  96. Basically just re emphasizing that please remember this, lave right, please remember

  97. this. Okay. I'm gonna stop and I'm going to give you some observations

  98. that I read from the scripture itself, just real quick ones, and then

  99. we'll go to the main point today. Okay, So, first one,

  100. the first scripture really say observe, follow the love of the Lord. So

  101. can I ask you a question? What is the love of the Lord?

  102. Do you all know? You all know what the law of the Lord is?

  103. Anybody try? Come on, let's have some interactivity here, Joshua,

  104. what is the love of the Lord? What what is the law of the

  105. Lord? Which one I'm asking you? In totality? Then commments? Okay?

  106. Anybody else? I want to try? Love the Lord your God?

  107. Okay, that's one. Okay, anyone else? Anyone else? Sorry?

  108. What love that name? Okay? Okay, thank you for sharing? Can

  109. I can I just have your allah? This is the love of the Lord.

  110. This is the love of the Lord. We cannot cherry pick our guys,

  111. we like to cherry pick. We have to know that the word of

  112. God is his law, amen, right is if you look at the Old

  113. Testament, it is all about don't do this, do that, don't do

  114. this. You look about the New Testament. It's all about you being saved

  115. by grace. And we like that, say I grace forgive you know you'll

  116. be fine. That's so easy on that both come hand in hand. No,

  117. you cannot have one without without the other. You're not just picked to

  118. follow one commandment and then the rest you ignore cannot Everything is together and the

  119. Bible doesn't contradict itself. You know what contradicts us. You know why sometimes

  120. we don't understand certain things because it is our understanding and our perception and our

  121. theology of what we understand about the Bible. You'll catch that. So what

  122. makes a new believer different than me experience? You know, I don't know

  123. what makes a different understanding? That is the difference. Why because I walk

  124. enough with the Lord to know certain things. That's why when I stand here

  125. and I declare that by his stripes we are healed, I believe in it.

  126. The three Scriptures said, I share you just now let me tell you

  127. how it was, how it came to be. There was one night where

  128. Timmy was not well. He was having high fever. We were very worried,

  129. very very high fever, and I was, and we sent him to

  130. the hospital. They send him back. We send him again, they send

  131. him back. Is a third day idea? And I texted past it.

  132. Can I say, pasta, It has come to a time where I really

  133. just knew a pray and trust God that he was healed. And I just

  134. declared pasta said Prophesy the scripture prophesie. You know, anybody with a logical

  135. mind or say, don't make sense live by know all of us here we

  136. are illogical because we believe in the word of God. We believe it's life.

  137. So we prophesie, and I prophesy, and I tell you what.

  138. The next day he was killed. He was killed. No, we don't

  139. know what happened. But he had a very very high fever. I remember

  140. that very clearly. So I've experienced that. So you know, when you

  141. experience something, how real it is. You know the next time he's sick,

  142. how confident I am brying? You know. So God brings us through

  143. these experiences to understand him more. Right, So when he talks about the

  144. law of the Lord, he talks about the entire Bible, not just only

  145. the scripture. Only the scripture, only the scripture. No, oh,

  146. you are correct, But I just want to give you this perspective. We

  147. got to know the law of the Lord. We got to know his word,

  148. his word in our hearts. And you know I share those scriptures.

  149. You do you realize that it's in sequence the first scripture Isaiah fifty three,

  150. verse five talks about we are healed. It is a promise that you are

  151. healed by his stripes. Psalms one oh seven talks about God who he is.

  152. We need to know who and where the healing comes from. Then we

  153. have a confident to ask. Because if you think God is a bad God

  154. and the only one you will suffer and only when you when you don't see

  155. nony he will heal you, then you won't ask him, or then your

  156. prayers will be different. So no, the promise, know who the promiser

  157. is, and then the confirmation that he has already been done. In Second

  158. Peter twenty four, you look at how scripture through a thousand years confirms things.

  159. So you see he's understanding. He's understanding the word, and I pray

  160. that the Holy Spirit will guide you to understand the word more and more s

  161. you dig dig into his word. It takes effort, guys. It takes

  162. learning from one another. It takes not just listening to messages. It takes

  163. you going to the word and massaging the word and meditating on the word.

  164. In Joshua, it all says that meditate on my word day and night.

  165. That's why we ask you will do quiet time? You know, you know?

  166. And yeah, can you said boring. Well, fine, way slave

  167. to meditate on God's word. Okay, sorry, I'm going off track.

  168. Okay, so observe followed all of the Lord. Second thing, fear the

  169. Lord is a lot can get unpacked from the eutronomy a lot. The lot

  170. can be unpacked. Okay, keep his commandments. Okay, So remember I

  171. just talk about commoments. Of course there's ten comments. There are a lot

  172. of other comments. We keep as much as we can. Let me give

  173. you this other perspective. You know that we are right now living in the

  174. time of grace. Do you know how gracious God is that we have a

  175. lot of chances to keep His commments in this in this day and age.

  176. That all we need to do is to try our best to follow because He

  177. has fulfilled the law. Do you know how difficult it is for the Israelites

  178. and for the Chosen people to keep God's law before Jesus came. Now we

  179. just need to ask forgiveness. Now, last time they want ask forgiveness,

  180. they have to have a death a cow. You know it's so now we

  181. can worship in spirit and in truth. Right, we can just come to

  182. church, lift our hands as long as I'm not thinking about lunch. I'm

  183. thinking about Jesus. I'm fine, right, Do you know how difficult is

  184. the last time Jesus has changed it off for us. But the Bible still

  185. asks us to keep the commandments. The Bible still asks us to follow.

  186. Oh you know this old schooler. You know, now it's new school.

  187. You do new things. Passe Elvin. You so low told. Don't be

  188. low told. Right, No, guys, there is still a commandment to

  189. keep. I'm going to my point. Okay, sorry, okay, So

  190. keep his commandments. That's why it's important to keep his commandments. And then

  191. come to this place where I explain to you again causing an effect. Okay,

  192. you thought about sewing and reaping, right, course and effect when you

  193. look at the life of someone, when you look at your own life itself,

  194. when certain things are not going a certain way that you think it will

  195. go, check again your alignment to the word of God. That is my

  196. encouragement for you. Check again your alignment. If you look at how you

  197. know after a while your story is still away. Look at whether you're aligned

  198. to God's word or not. Hey, God, how come I I'm not

  199. experiencing abandon life are you aligned to his word? Because the promise come from

  200. here, no, no anywhere else. Now, so it's very important for

  201. us as believers to align. That's why the Bible says walk by faith and

  202. not by sight. That's why the Bible says, right, don't follow the

  203. flesh, follow the spirit. Right, there's two decisions that we're gonna make,

  204. so we've got to be very clear. Okay, so keep the commments.

  205. Ah, And then this is a promise our future generations and all the

  206. days of our life will be prolonged. You want to live long or not

  207. follow God's commments? Isn't that the over simplification past alving? Well, all

  208. I can say is try it and see try it and see amen, and

  209. it will be well with us. It says here you will be well with

  210. you. You know how I You know how I interpret you'll be well us.

  211. And this is out of my own experience. You know why. You'll

  212. be well with you, even in troubles and even in difficult times. It

  213. will be well with you because you know who your God is. Because right,

  214. we think we think that oh you'll be well means no, I will

  215. face no problem. Guys. I'm so sorry you face problems. I'm so

  216. sorry. If you make a wrong mistake, if you make a wrong decision,

  217. you have to do with the consequences. Bible says that, but if

  218. you follow in his commandments, even if you make a mistake, you'll be

  219. well with you. You will be fine because the hope of glory is God.

  220. You're not seeking answers from anyone else, but you're seeking answer from the

  221. Lord. Why I align to God's word. That's why living in a season

  222. of grace right now, we have the opportunity to flow. That's why,

  223. you know, That's why it's so powerful. When the robber is next to

  224. Jesus and one say I this forell bla call your angel slab and the other

  225. one say, hey, don't mind him. We deserve this. He didn't

  226. deserve Jesus, can you remember me? And you say, yeah, come

  227. follow me. It is the condition of the heart, right, we always

  228. say. But you know, it's also a decision that he makes. You

  229. know, he's a decision that we make on a daily basis. Amen,

  230. the wonder full saving grace of God, the wonderful saving grace of God,

  231. we will multiply and we and have a land with milk and honey. Okay,

  232. and of course someone mentioned just now loved the lot with everything. Okay,

  233. I don't know why I got time to unpackt this love the lot with

  234. everything. Okay. When you love something really, really much, you will

  235. do anything and everything for that personal thing, career or not. That's a

  236. normal See, that's a very normal reaction from anyone. If we really like

  237. something, we really love something, we will do anything for it. That

  238. you know. A very good example to see is that you you look when

  239. you're younger, okay, very obvious you you love lovel the word love.

  240. Ca you like or love a guy or a girl, you will see one

  241. the person will change one, you know, like how like how when when

  242. not girlfriend boyfriend yet? But I like someone and then I will apparently this

  243. is what I did. I didn't realize. I will buy Starbucks for their

  244. person only, although they are the person other colleagues, you know, in

  245. the office right inside joke, nem, I'll just save that. You know,

  246. what is the expression of love and the value that ex chest believes in

  247. it giving God our best. It's not ruler, it is not rule.

  248. Please don't come and say, ah, you're so strict that you'll ask people

  249. to wear it Sunday best. Oh no, no, no, no,

  250. guys, it's not rue. It is the expression of believing that we love

  251. the Lord God with all our heart soul. We should give him our best

  252. in all area of our lives. That's why we believe in. That's a

  253. value that we believe in. Amen. So what is giving your best?

  254. It's a good question to ask ourselves. You see, it is not the

  255. church that dictates what is giving. No, it is you that decides what

  256. is your best? Or this is just my best? Love? Now,

  257. I always tell you what this sign. I will deal with some some you

  258. know, interns and all, and then they will say, oh, I

  259. don't have enough time. I say, well, the one hour there you

  260. have is your best. Then give that your your best. Aut you know,

  261. that is what our church believes in. Or I can not self like

  262. I'm so busy with everything. I say, how how many minutes you have?

  263. Five minutes? You got five minutes? Just give your best to God.

  264. I remember talking to someone here and the person say, oh, you

  265. know, and sometime we like to plan this way. And it's not wrong,

  266. okay, not wrong, but I'm just again, value sharing value Okay,

  267. oh in two months, I'm gonna leave. Ready. You know any

  268. in our you know what believes Hey, two months are and you want to

  269. surfer give God that two months? Give him your best, even if you're

  270. standing and and and assuring people, just giving your best. And this person

  271. took it and say, oh yeah, Kenna, I say, yeah,

  272. we're fine. Just do it. Give you up because you see you're serving

  273. unto God. You're not saying unto me? Right your best? What is

  274. your best to God? Right? Love the Lord your God? Okay.

  275. Expression it says here keeping in our hearts and teach them to our children.

  276. So we keep we keep God's word. Do you have God's word in your

  277. heart? How do you get gods to your heart? Read law? How

  278. come I can regurgitate of my scripture? You know? Nowadays I realize,

  279. right, the super cool thing. And I don't know how. Maybe it's

  280. anoint thing or whatever. Last time maybe last time, okay, last time

  281. not so much. But now when I when I advise, I realized God's

  282. Bible is so powerful. I'll be talking to someone and I'll be like,

  283. hey, you know, yeah, it's like this scripture is like that scripture

  284. is that this scripture, I will bring it out. I'm like, how

  285. come I know all these things? Are? You know? And then I

  286. realized, oh, I probably read it last time, and the Holy Spirit

  287. is in nineteen things. Do you know the Holy spray can use you.

  288. I think I shared before about logos word and rama word. You need the

  289. logos in you so that the rema can come out. Logos is not insight,

  290. rama can't come out right. So my encouragement is, hey, get

  291. the logos word inside, even if it a little bit, it's okay.

  292. One at least you got a little bit. It's not about being a Bible

  293. scholar, no, guys. It's about learning the word of God. It

  294. is about day to day you know, you know, you know when when

  295. the commandments are given to the people, it is to give It's given to

  296. them to live day today, not okay. When you come to Shounia,

  297. let's all start speaking scripture. No, no day today application. That's what

  298. the people apply. You know. That is God's commandments. Amen. He

  299. is the king. He is the one that says the law right. So

  300. keeping your hands and teach it to our children. For those of you who

  301. got no kids. Who is younger than you. Maybe you're a parent unquote

  302. parent to some people. What about our young people here? Do you know

  303. that in this day and age, a lot of kids got no parents on

  304. the parents are not intact. Do you know that you can be a parent

  305. to them science we don't have that perspective. Hey, it's not about just

  306. having kids, you know. See if we have the perspective, like I

  307. tell you, ever since I have kids, are actually before that also,

  308. I wes sensitive about these things, you know, because you have the chance

  309. to lead young people. I'm very careful with what I do. You know,

  310. you know, because if I suddenly dye my hair, wear toungeans here

  311. were stinkers. Do you know that they will give the young people a green

  312. light to if post seving chemists, I cannot you know. I'm not saying

  313. that they should dress on me, but you can me or not. Our

  314. conduct and I'm just and again please don't don't don't bang me, and they

  315. don't compare you whatever. I'm just giving you an example. Right, our

  316. conduct will affect our future generation. It's very important. That's why the desire

  317. I have for even my kids is that they see that we serve. And

  318. I've told just before. As much as we can, we serve together with

  319. them in toe difficult. How are you talking to people? Have to address?

  320. Just now I was talking to someone I had to dress myself. Can

  321. be stop running in church? You know, it's it's real life. Welcome

  322. to my life, you know. But I want them to be part of

  323. it so that when they grow up they have the perspective of like, oh

  324. my daddy is serf with me and it's normal, right, I mean,

  325. I'm just giving you some some things. Oh my goodness, I haven't even

  326. gone to the message. Okay, okay, okay, okay, help me

  327. Lord, and of course finally buy them as a sign in our hands in

  328. front of our eyes and ride it in a household. Basically just see why

  329. why that's do you have to buy? You see three things are buying in

  330. the hand, put in frontline the eye, and put in the house why

  331. because we will forget. The Lord knows that you will forget, you know.

  332. So I show you something recently, Me and my wife recently went for

  333. a retreat and we were we were thinking, you know, and we discussed.

  334. But different things are basically you know, again retreat Okay, this about

  335. different things, and one of the things you said, yes said we I

  336. thought it was great. Is that? Hey, you know, we want

  337. to instill in our kids the word of God. And one way we maybe

  338. put signages because we have a few signages people give us. Can I be

  339. honest, I don't really find any value in it because our signation I really

  340. remember. But okay, that's that's the way I think. But that's White

  341. brought up. I'm like, yeah, that's good idea. If we can

  342. put different signators in the house, like for me and my house with the

  343. law and all these things, so that when my kid comes, we can

  344. use it as a teaching guide, like hey, remember like ex kids like

  345. exkis at home. You know, we can do that. It is why

  346. should that we remember? And it's not we need remind us when we are

  347. down, when we are difficult. We need remind us, you know,

  348. because when we are going through the fire, we'll forget one. Right.

  349. You look at the Israelites every time forget what God did for them right in

  350. the desert. You also forgot what God did for them and start complaining.

  351. Ready, So it's normal, it's natural. That's why we have to find

  352. ways and do things so that we will not forget take responsibility. Okay,

  353. I won't have ten minutes. Let's do this. Wow, I share so

  354. much and that isn't the full message. But neverm I I'll just breach through

  355. it. So the title of this message today is honored the Lord. And

  356. I was I was praying, asking God, God, what your people need?

  357. You know, I think person men shared a really powerful word and I

  358. was not here. You know, this word honor is something that I've learned

  359. in acts. I've learned how to honor my leaders. I've learned how to

  360. honor people. You know honor means, and we'll go deep into it.

  361. You know, honor in the Bible and second from Proverbs three nine, okay,

  362. honor the lot with your possessions, with the first road of your increase.

  363. It is the same word used to use in the Commandments in ten Commanments,

  364. the fifth Commandment where he ask us to honor of other and mother okay,

  365. and honor shay before okay, honor board okay or curve board or something

  366. like that. Okay. Anyway, I'm so sorry, Andrea, I know,

  367. and and sorry be stressed out. Basically, it means weight, heaviness,

  368. right to be heavy, to be waged, to be weighty. Right.

  369. It is the same time to be rich, you know, when you

  370. reach got money, right heavy? Okay, to be honorable, to be

  371. glorious. Right. So when we honor someone, we are making the person

  372. heavy. We're putting weight on the person. You'll catch that. We're putting

  373. weight on the person. What a person says. That's weight in what the

  374. person says, right, Yeah, to be made abundant, right, to

  375. give a person glory or honor, right. Uh and and and that's that's

  376. me or honor. Okay. So I've got six points. I'll just go

  377. quick, kay. First one, friends, honor the Lord. Honor the

  378. Lord. I'm not here to tell you how to do it, Okay.

  379. You need to decide based on your life, based on what you can do.

  380. But I'm here to encourage you. Number one, Honor the Lord.

  381. And of course the Bible is quite clear on a few things, Okay,

  382. problems. Street nine says, honor the lot with your possessions and with the

  383. first rules of your increase. And we always use this for tyson offerings,

  384. you know, right. But let's go deeper. Why did the Lord use

  385. the term possessions and first rule of the increase. Okay, why why money?

  386. Why is money something that is used to explain this. Why is treasure?

  387. Let me give you to this perspective. It is all about value.

  388. It is not money, It is value. So you can replace the word

  389. treasure with a lot of things. Some of us here treasure our relationships.

  390. Some of us here treasure our house. Some of us here treasure our parents.

  391. Some of us see your treasure our kids. Do you know that you

  392. know we dedicate kids to the Lord? Do you know what you dedicate you

  393. give to him? Ready? Right? No? No, no, no,

  394. no no no, my kid's mine? You know no that there is

  395. your treasure? Okay. Some of us are value different, So it's not

  396. just about money, right. It talks about what belongs to you. What

  397. what do you find value with? Right? You know? And and do

  398. you know that I shared this earlier on? Do you know that you sacrifice

  399. because of value? You know, if you value your child so much,

  400. you would give anything to your child? Right? And I know? Parents

  401. here you sacrifice a lot. You want to give your child a good future.

  402. You sacrifice you work. Some of us here, based on what we

  403. know, we try to be good friends with our kids. You know,

  404. and that's that's a good desire, okay, right, If you value something

  405. high, we'll be willing to work for it. Yes man's days. Okay,

  406. guys, if you really like the girl, you will do anything.

  407. You will waste. Joke, you know, you will take the moon and

  408. back for the girl. Go to them, Go and buy the moon.

  409. Now you can go and buy Trea d moon for the girl. Okay.

  410. Matthew six nineteen twenty one says, do not lay up yourself treasures on Earth,

  411. where moth and russ destroy, and where teas break in and steal,

  412. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither mouth nor rust destroys,

  413. and where teams do not break in and steal. For. Where your

  414. treasure is there, your heart is also amen. So that's true. Where

  415. your treasure is, your heart is also so. The question that you can

  416. ask yourself today is what do you value most? What do you care about

  417. most? Even lifestyle can be a treasure. No do you know that?

  418. Oh no, no, no no no, I cannot come on Sunday because

  419. you know I need to play golf with my boss. You know, we

  420. use this joke like, okay, I know none if you hear play golf.

  421. Okay, and I know if you play golf, you probably won't play

  422. on Sunday. I hope not. But yeah, you know, we just

  423. use this joke as a general thing. Okay, we laugh about it.

  424. But there can be something else. It can be something else. Are guys

  425. not just that? Right? What do you value? Don't think about money

  426. you need. I'm not just talking about money. Okay, So you think

  427. about it. If I honor the lot, I value him? How do

  428. I honor him? How do I honor the lot? Amen? Second one,

  429. this is why he close to home. Honor your parents Exodus twenty Teacher

  430. of honor your father and mother, that your days may be long upon the

  431. land which the Lord your God is giving you. It is the fifth commandment

  432. in the ten commandments. And do you know that it is is the only

  433. commandment. See, all the commandments are God say follow my commandments, you

  434. know, and uh, and you'll be well off, you know. But

  435. it is the only commandment. Now if you read now, the word not

  436. is the only commandment now that has an additional promise that if you honor your

  437. father and mother right, your days will be long. Okay, I don't

  438. ever got time. Okay, I'll try and stretch it. Okay, I

  439. might have real quick share testimony after this. Okay, honor your parents,

  440. guys knowing you say much. Okay, honor your parents. Oh and can

  441. I share this? No, I'll go the next one, next one,

  442. only your leaders Scripture Hebrews the teen seventeen. Obey those who rule over you,

  443. and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls at those who

  444. must give account. And I shared many times before are very stress here.

  445. And you know why if you'll if I say the wrong thing and you'll sad,

  446. I'm responsible, that's quite scary, right, So please don't give you

  447. a hard time, Kenna, right, don't give your leaders a hard time,

  448. you know, because not very difficult, you know. Ah. Let

  449. them do so with joy and not with grief. Please don't cause your home

  450. leaders grief. Can don't don't don't Okay, for that we should be unprofitable

  451. for you. You see, there is a difference. I'll share this point.

  452. There is a difference between how the world treats leaders and how we as

  453. a church treat leaders. You need to understand that because in the world it's

  454. all about you need to serve me, you know, and we are we

  455. have a lot of demands. But do you know that the leaders and the

  456. leaders are comfortable to you? Yes, But in the church, the leaders

  457. are comfortable to God first. Do you know that. If you don't know

  458. that, I'm telling you now we are comfortable to God first, then only

  459. you you know? That is something very important to remember, you know.

  460. So when certain things are decided, when suddenly are done, it's not to

  461. make a life difficult, guys, it is not. Really, It's so

  462. that we can all serve the Lord, and we can all give God our

  463. best. Amen. Right, So honor your leaders first. Tessimonians five twelve.

  464. The team says, dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your

  465. leaders in the Lord's work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual

  466. guidance. Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And

  467. live peaceably peacefully with each other. Amen. Okay, I'll throw a curveball.

  468. What if they're bad leaders? God? Right? Really? Right?

  469. What if they're bad leaders? Okay? And again, although it talks about

  470. leadership in church, I I also believe the Lord also talks about leaders above

  471. you outside. You know, let me give you another scripture to encourage your

  472. first collosures three twenty two twenty five. Slaves obey or earthly masters and everything

  473. whar Okay, and do it not only when their eyes on you and to

  474. curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.

  475. See, we are working unto the Lord. Okay, whatever you do,

  476. work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for

  477. human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord

  478. as a reward. If the Lord Christ you are serving, it is a

  479. Lord Christ you're serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs.

  480. And there is no favoritism when so, even if they're bad leaders are

  481. guys, serve them because you're serving God not them. You understand, you

  482. know we teach you this. You know when you are under a leadership,

  483. you know it is placed above you for a reason. And why I say

  484. why, I say why, It is because at the end of the day,

  485. when God sees her what he is God seeing right And Okay, there

  486. might be different no answers and different different scenarios. I'm not blanketing it.

  487. All I'm saying is the spirit away is coming from because if you think that

  488. you can, oh, I need to speak for my right. And guys,

  489. be very careful when you go in the direction because there's rebellion. Really

  490. there's rebellion. And of course, if I'm talking about outside, you can

  491. quit the Jobmann is fine on that case, it's fine. You can quit

  492. one then no longer your leader laone. Right, But if you cannot lay,

  493. then how God has to be in the picture. Don't be so quick

  494. to be the one that vindicates because the Bible you read the Bible is very

  495. different perspective. He says God will be your vindicator. He's not asking you

  496. to suffer more. No, it's just that if it's in a situation where

  497. you cannot do anything, then you've gotta submit and say God, can you

  498. take over or not? Or can you open the door? And do you

  499. know that I believe that God might even open a door that either the leader

  500. be removed or you will not be there anymore. Let God handle it,

  501. right, don't be so fast too, I need to be the one I

  502. need to overthrow this. Be very careful, be very careful, okay,

  503. especially if you pray and ask God to give you the job, and he

  504. gave you the job, especially if it's that if he did, if you

  505. didn't pray and then you okay, let's not go into the details. A

  506. but Yo, you understand what I'm trying to say. It not our position

  507. is very important as Christians. I know I'm talking about some things from You're

  508. like, no way past the Elvin. This is not gonna work in my

  509. situation. Well maybe our situation is different, but the heart is the same.

  510. That we respect our leaders, that we honor our leaders, whoever they

  511. may be, because that's what the Bible asks to do. Okay, and

  512. of course don't go and do it yourself. Talk to other people. Talk

  513. to talk to me. I'm not be leader, okay, not belader.

  514. Talk to me. Then maybe I can help you navigate out of that situation.

  515. Amen number four. Honor your commitments whatever it may be, and I'm

  516. gonna finish it. Radio Galicians six nine says, and let us not grow

  517. weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do

  518. not lose heart. Second Timothy one fourteen says, the good thing which was

  519. committed to you friends, what is committed to you today? Your house,

  520. your car, your job, your position right. What is committed to you

  521. keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. Be committed to it.

  522. Don't give up so fast. Second Timothy four seven, I have fought the

  523. good fight. I finished the race. I've kept the faith. Keep fighting

  524. the good fight, keep running. Number five. Honor each other. First

  525. Speitter Too seventeen says, Honor all people, love the brotherhood, Fear God,

  526. Honor the King. Now when I look at this, I'm gonna ends

  527. soon. I think about our church here. Do we honor one another?

  528. No? Do we are not. That's what the Bible says. You know.

  529. Roman tilth nine ten says, don't just pretend to love others, really

  530. love them, hate what is wrong, Hold tightly to what is good.

  531. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.

  532. Collisions three Child fourteen says, therefore we as God's chosen people. We are

  533. as God's chosen people, holy and dearly love. Clothe yourself with compassion,

  534. kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, Bear with each other, and forgive

  535. one another. If any of you have a grievance against someone, forgive as

  536. the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love which binds

  537. them to get all together in perfect unity. You know, we talk about

  538. the unity of the church. Maybe it's good to start even before thinking about

  539. unity in all churches, in our church first, maybe it's good to start

  540. there, right. My final point and that anyway, this, I know

  541. I'm stretching it, but I'll try my best honor even though it hurts.

  542. I'll share a real quick testimony. I'm forty years old, forty one,

  543. and when I was growing up as a young person, I didn't really have

  544. a very good childhood. Lah, Okay, by the grace of God,

  545. I was okay, thank God. And I found solars in church, in

  546. friends, but family was not very important to me because it was very difficult,

  547. you know. And I don't make my parents, you know, they

  548. just didn't know. Right now, we have so much you know, studies,

  549. Internet, you know, we talk to different ones. There's an open

  550. community. You can go for parenting class. There's so much resources, you

  551. know. And yeah, but for those of us who went through difficulty,

  552. it was tough luck. There was a lot of anger, a lot of

  553. stress, a lot of shouting. There wasn't peace in the family. When

  554. I was growing up. That's why relationships family mean. Now me and my

  555. wife, we had a chance to guide couples. We're very real with them

  556. on because you know how something smaller can turn into something bigger and it can

  557. affect your kids one. You know. That's why I in's some nice I

  558. can't almost see it happening ready, and you ask, oh, Lord,

  559. can you please give me me someone how I talk to my my guys on

  560. how to have good marriages because the kids will be affected, right, and

  561. but we grow all right. And for a good period of my adult life

  562. I didn't have any much interaction in my family. But since last year and

  563. even the years before that, I've had the opportunity to honor my parents.

  564. So last year I've shed you know while it was happening, the Lord say,

  565. minister to my mom. I'm very thankful that I was able to be

  566. as a son and maybe my role as a pastor so be able to minister

  567. to my mom as she's going back to the lot. I'm very thankful for

  568. that. And now this reminded that God has given me recently and I'll be

  569. very very vulnerable toutnies. My relationship. My dad's not so great. I

  570. think you've seen him. It's not great, okay, And I many times

  571. grew up without feeling I had a father, even though he was there.

  572. The one thing that I can thank him for is that he praised. He

  573. goes to churches fraightful. Only these three things. Everything else I don't know.

  574. And even though my dad has been staying with me the past one year

  575. pluss and all because of pandemic, I felt like I tolerate that him because

  576. the old heabit is still calm. And then when I come you know how

  577. bad heabits die heart and I'm like, oh, you know. But God

  578. recently reminded me to say, as I'm even reading this now, I honor

  579. your dad. Now. Yeah, you think he might not deserve it,

  580. you think he might not have given you everything, You think that he might

  581. have caused you a very difficult life, but please honor him. A wow.

  582. It was slept on my face, man, and I realized in my

  583. heart I was just tolerating on me. Killa be nice once in a while,

  584. and by tolerting. Yesterday, I took my dad out to clang H

  585. and we went and had breakfast in a place that he likes I'm sorry.

  586. I'm trying to see if I can Nothing. Nothing magical happened, okay,

  587. But I took him. The change in my heart was that I was no

  588. longer tolerating him. And I'm like, I'm doing this because on you.

  589. This morning, when I was before we left, because my dad will normally

  590. or to clang for church, I was upredate and I straight away to his

  591. door and I knock knocked his door and say it that all okay. I

  592. normally don't do it, no gola, but that you're okay, have a

  593. good trip, be safe, you know. And then and then I got

  594. ready for church. Yes, my past, you know, talking talking about

  595. honor although it hurts. Yes, my past is not great. This man

  596. didn't do much for me beyond the faith that he left me, you know,

  597. because legacy of faith. But it is by God's grace and divine power

  598. that as a son, I'm able to follow God's commandment. Na. Not

  599. my feelings are follow God's commandment to honor my dad so that my days will

  600. be prolonged. I'm not doing it because of what I want to know.

  601. He's honest, honoring. Remember I say, don't be fake when you love

  602. people. It's a real love, and I'm reflecting. I'm like, wow,

  603. God, thank you for the opportunity. Who else can say that,

  604. Yes, the most part of my life I didn't really have awesome family that

  605. I'm shat it again. My heart goes out to those who broken families because

  606. although my family was in the same household, he was not a great And

  607. I always want to tell people, look, that is a better way.

  608. And yes, you might have been a place and you might be in the

  609. family that is not the best. Now it's okay, as long as you

  610. have the Lord with you. He is your father. He is a father

  611. to the fatherless, and we need to know what to do and to do

  612. the right thing. It is the right thing. No, the right thing

  613. is to tell him where he's at and you know, giv him back for

  614. what he's done you in the No. No, no, guys, the

  615. right thing is to honor him, even though it's not perfect, even though

  616. he doesn't deserve it. Sometimes I will think, no, no, he's

  617. my dad. I will honor him because the Bible tells me so. So.

  618. Friends, I don't know how this hits you, but my encouragement to

  619. you today really is that when we do all these things. We're not just

  620. doing it just because oh it's my right and no, no, no,

  621. we are following God's work and keeping his comments. Gostar. Yes, it

  622. hurts sometimes saying like nor why ah, why don't deserve this? It's not

  623. about what he deserves. We don't deserve Jesus, but we got him.

  624. He's not about why Jesus hebout honoring. No, I honor my parents.

  625. Maybe I don't know how to last time when I was younger, but now

  626. I know. Now I can be. I can I can be the person

  627. that God wants me to be, you know. And I pray that you

  628. know I will have the time my dad to be able to follow God's work

  629. even though it hurts. Imen. We hope you've been blessed by this message.
