  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day if you have your Bible with you. Right now,

  3. we're going to turn to mattin Training eight something. You may think that

  4. your only turn to this poshal scripture when it comes a mission, Well not

  5. really. Matri Train eight was sixteen metro train. It was sixteen. That's

  6. about the great commission. Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to

  7. the mountain which Jesus has appointed for them. Friends, it is really good

  8. to go away to be with Christ. It's also really good to come to

  9. church. It's really good to experience God at a camp. But how many

  10. of you know mountaintop experience is not a permanent resident or permanent address. Mountain

  11. top experience are not for us. Although the view is very beautiful, the

  12. experience is very good, the weather is nice. But God has never intended

  13. for us to make a permanent structure up at the mountain. At the mountaintop

  14. experience at getting away with Christ always comes with instruction, always comes with a

  15. purpose and a direction. It goes to same verse severity. When they saw

  16. him, they worship him. Isn't it good? To worship the Lord,

  17. Friends, isn't it good to worship God? But the Bible hears it sound

  18. doubted. Friends. To know whether a person down is to ask ourselves whether

  19. are we walking by faith or by sight? In Second Corinthians five, verse

  20. seventeen, it says that we are called to walk by faith and not sight.

  21. The moment we walk by sight, that's where sometimes fear comes in.

  22. Peter could have walked a water for too long, because when the moment he

  23. saw the winds and the waves surrounding him, fear after his heart. That's

  24. what happened. If you continue to walk by sight. Why why do you

  25. think the Lord introduced to us missions and going out there? Is because at

  26. the field, at the place whereby you're not comfortable, at the place whereby

  27. they don't speak the same language as you, eat the same food as you.

  28. You have to what by faith? If all of us here are cop

  29. right now you are in an around Usley Gadrick, what would you preach?

  30. What would you say to encourage them? What songs would you introduce to them?

  31. Because a lot of things you do, it's very urban. It's very

  32. us over here, very comfortable with it. But the moment you transport yourself

  33. to a place wherever, it's totally very different. Everything else doesn't really matter

  34. after all, because all we have is our faith in God that he'll move

  35. in the midst of his people. That's why sometimes we doubt, because the

  36. longer we stay in the particular place and don't go out at exercise faith,

  37. we will start doubting. One the longer we don't exercise faith and we stay

  38. very comfortable, continue to just worship God in heaven, we will have doubts.

  39. It's not the amount of money. So in the offering back today,

  40. it's not whether you got full attendance for homes or prayer service. It's our

  41. lifestyle whether or not we exercise faith at the end today. Because why some

  42. doctor is because they cut to see by sight. That's why Thomas told people

  43. that if I see Christ, has I look at the imprint of the nails,

  44. If you can put my great descriptive, if you can put my finger

  45. to the whole, I will only believe. And many Christians sometimes are like

  46. that as well, show me and then convince be, then I believe.

  47. Convince me, then I believe. Sometimes at the few when you go from

  48. missus it's there is no such thing. You're given opportunity to convince, and

  49. all of a sudden you're tim Lena say, I want you to preach right

  50. now into the midst of in a school. You go that, but I

  51. do not know how to speak. Don't really just go and speak. Those

  52. are the time when you exercise opportunity for faith. But many times we doubt

  53. only because that, oh, if everything, everything confirms on the exterior,

  54. then I can believe you will find that in live. Friends, there's it's

  55. very suddent that ever happened that way. You want with church? You want

  56. to start a building project. If it's nice, friends, it's expensive.

  57. Think about it. If it's nice, if everything is all well cupted,

  58. everything all air, cons all that they chant, all that, it is

  59. expensive. Most good will lead us to the place, you know why,

  60. to a place Whereby's is cheaper because he wants us to use faith to transform

  61. the place. Never let us to this place everything is all nice and it's

  62. cheap. No, So, friends, I pray that you're allowed God to

  63. speak to you and ask, And the word is that asks yourself, where

  64. are you at with the journey of faith? Right now? Now? The

  65. month of August, have revery, exercise faith? Or have we been very

  66. comfortable where we at at the mountaintop experience we're shipping the Lord. So we're

  67. seventeen, now we's eighteen. Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,

  68. all authority has been given to me in heaven and in earth. Whereas

  69. I think go, friends, why sometimes you find it very hard to go

  70. is because we've never fully understood authority in our life. You never fully have

  71. the word full understanding or experience the authority of the crisis given us. So

  72. right now, let's say, for example, some of you have rented a

  73. place or maybe bought a place right now, and you experience there is another

  74. presence in the room, in the house. What would you do? What

  75. goes? Bust? Run away? Okay? What would you do? Huh?

  76. Hello, say hello, I'm here. What's your name? Call out

  77. the church elder? Yeah? No, seriously, what would you think about

  78. it for a moment? Right? What would you do? Okay, there's

  79. there's this extreme out, but friends, is really happening, right right?

  80. Let's extreme. Let's say, for example, what you are in a place

  81. whereby h the resources that you have money couldn't solve the problem, right,

  82. your physical resources couldn't your world whism of the issue. What would you do?

  83. So the Bible here say all authority has been given to me. Therefore

  84. goal we would go friends when we have there was we would be fully convinced

  85. in our hearts once we understood that authority has been given to us. That's

  86. why I asked a question that if you sense it even presence in the room.

  87. Let's say you stayed in the hotel room sometimes right you walk in there,

  88. you go like, oh, I remember going for a revel revel twel

  89. one time it wasn't typing. They we stayed in the hotel right just opposite

  90. the church. But the sink at the tap there couldn't close, so it

  91. produced a drip of water every few seconds, and drip, drip, drip.

  92. The hotel is oh really, oh as oh as me for the day

  93. years old? It's oh right. The people they give water in the hot

  94. water flowers, the brick color hot water flower and those type. Right,

  95. it's it's oh and I remember that you know when when when when you're trying

  96. to sleep, you hurd dropping water sound coming out from the bathroom. It

  97. is one of those things whereby it's either that it's okay, it's just rewater

  98. And the worst part is that half we are sleeping. Your head begin the

  99. words I says that there's something else in the room. What what do you

  100. do? Passequend about Sorry, I know right now you're in PJ. I

  101. mean typing right now, but could you pray right now? It's it's can't.

  102. So once you understand you have authority threats, it gives you a lot

  103. of confidence to go into a place whereby then you speak into the atmosphere and

  104. they say, look, I know you're out there, but in the name

  105. of Jews, I command you to leave the room because I need to sleep.

  106. See, once you understand authority, it makes us to become to the

  107. pleasure. By we would go with confidence. Why sometimes the one that goes

  108. because normally at the mission's feel right, this is one normally happens. The

  109. sick will cut the pastors at local pastor who ask the people to come out

  110. to the front. If you're not feeling well and all of a sudden you

  111. are this pastor or this leader. You have to pray for someone who not

  112. just have headache, but have cancer. Because heydeck's right subjective right, because

  113. when you pray for a post in the name of Jesus be here right,

  114. then the bustle walk away. Right. You would't really know because it's internal.

  115. But whereas someone had the cancer or alum out there asking for healing,

  116. or couldn't hear asking for hearing, you were like, God, why do

  117. you set me up? So the Lord this afternoon us to remind us all

  118. authority has been given to me. So we don't go by own authority.

  119. Friends, we don't go by this your leader's invitation. You're this authority to

  120. church authority. You go with the fact it's set up by the church.

  121. With this, knowing God has given you full authority to go into a place

  122. and transform the place. Friends, it also goes. We go with a

  123. purpose and the sense of purpose and direction. We do not go simply and

  124. thinking that where we think we should go. Many times, if it's true

  125. when it comes to missions, right, is it it true? We choose

  126. places which are familiar to us, which we are more or less the worst.

  127. We understood a bit of the culture, says, understand a bit of

  128. the people around there. Very seldom we choose places that we are not very

  129. familiar with. In fact, it takes a lot of convincing for us to

  130. go to missions to a place whereby we are totally foreign. Where it comes

  131. to Australia and memmer half the type people, it's just Australia for mission trip

  132. snatchural. You understand the weather over there, you see enough pictures, coffee,

  133. then you'll say it also God, all right, but it's very different

  134. at the end of the day. Right, But we go with a sense

  135. of purpose and direction because it is not us that decide, but the lot

  136. that decide for us. Why, because there's something else He wants us to

  137. understand when we go into the field. The word is to reveal what's really

  138. in our hearts. Most somewise, Christian had a problem really the words we

  139. are didn't with issues because we have never allowed God to deal with what's really

  140. in our hearts. Why sometimes you're so stubborn, can only be deubt that

  141. at the field. At the field you go into their friends. I remember

  142. going through my first or athlete trip, there was a worship leader who plays

  143. a guitar without strings. He's just player like a guitar, but he just

  144. plays it and he really put like his fingers, like there's caught somewhere there

  145. his worshiping God. But urban Christian whether they got no strings there's I can't

  146. hear. But all he has is the form of guitar one. I remember

  147. I was asking that that then after the pass away, how the would you

  148. share the word? I'm thinking to myself what to share? All they understand

  149. is my feel out there right now, the SAUI and my counco right now

  150. there's no rain. Can you pray for rain? And God wants us to

  151. go something really deeper because we are so comfortable excuse the word comfortable with the

  152. fact that everything's provided a four and a faith. It's stuntard couldn't grow.

  153. And that's why God wants to go out. So, friends, we go

  154. out with the sense of purpose and direction, not my own agenda. Not

  155. because after missions there is this tourist destination. You can do right, go

  156. and visit check my after they can go and visit coffee places. Right,

  157. you can eat fright, I'm love with crap row inside right all that,

  158. Friends, it's not because of a nice brochure. We go there with sets

  159. of purpose and direction because God has a plan for the land and for us.

  160. So therefore we go therefore and make disciples. The problem is that we

  161. not. It's not that we don't go. The problem is that we go,

  162. but we don't follow on true because making discipers, baptizing and teaching requires

  163. time. And you know that while of the greatest commodity on earth is time.

  164. Really, oversee, we wish we have extra time, no extra pair

  165. of hands, but extra time. We wish that thirty six hours in a

  166. day, right of all everything you think about it? Right, friends,

  167. money is not the issue. No, time is an issue. Money is

  168. now an issue about missions, but time because money you can raise. Time

  169. it's something you cannot buy. Yes, you can write a few people.

  170. Can you sponsor by mission tree? People do give for mission trip, But

  171. what about time? Can you sponsor your time? Please? For me?

  172. Really, there's not enough time. Really all that we need to do right

  173. now after creat friends, oversee working at four jobs at one one goal,

  174. with amount of emails, you have to handle something, go families, you

  175. have to hand your family. You got a wife handing your wife or your

  176. hand their husband. Right only at eleven pm when you can get to do

  177. your own thing. Right? Not enough time, But the Bible says that

  178. go and baptize them. Friends, it requires time for you to teach what

  179. baptism is all about. It requires you teach them to observe. All things

  180. requires time, preparation, time. God wants to challenge all of us,

  181. see our friends, that he's the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the

  182. end. So that was He is a god of time. So what we

  183. cannot achieve with the lack of time, God can achieve it if we understand

  184. the authority was given to him. Many times we try to the word is

  185. the word is. We tried very hard to get the lifestyle we want with

  186. our own strength. We want those lifestyles by own strength. But God has

  187. a different plan altogether. Maybe because and for the eight really after that,

  188. you got another another for the more years that eight eight. Sorry it's so

  189. blak, and for it this year, another for the years eighty eight really,

  190. but I live for the eight years of my life to that. Yeah,

  191. after a while, you're reaching fifteen. I think I was really meant

  192. after that, not because of anything. I realized one thing, friends,

  193. all the pursuit of things is not wrong. It is not wrong. Right.

  194. Everyone has an idealized something they want. But all the pursuit of things

  195. come. I have drawn to this conclusion. If you go by our own

  196. strength, our own strength, we might achieve it. We might not achieve

  197. it, we might be disappointed, we might rejoice, but there's always a

  198. price to pay. But if you allow God to dig deeper into our own

  199. life. I was reading the Book of Job. The Bible said, hears

  200. everything, but in the midst of everything, God allowed things to happen in

  201. his life. The word is for him to go deeper. And I and

  202. I read the last chapter Book of Job got restore back, you know right,

  203. restore back right for more. I thought that the job he hit his

  204. wife or not good because God restore back everything. Maybe he got a new

  205. wife of that. No, no, I was just I was just reading

  206. the Book of Job, like, h that's kidding, all right, Those

  207. stole me right now. I love my wife, my way, don't don't

  208. don't stole me right now, those store me. But it just caught me

  209. thinking that what happened if everything was taken away from us? Really, what

  210. happened? All that you have right now the word is removed remove and there

  211. you are standing, How are we going to continue living. During the PMC

  212. session of pre marriage concil session, I will ask coupers what happened if one

  213. of you will make the wrong financial decision. Everything is just taken away somethings

  214. you do and we make the wrong decision. All right, make wrown decision.

  215. Everything secular away. In the other words, what you thought you had

  216. the savings nor more savings, what you thought was security, normal security.

  217. How are you going to lead this marriage or are you going to fight and

  218. divorce? Because if you cannot come to this conclusion whereby it doesn't matter as

  219. long ago each other we can overcome. And then our advice. A couple

  220. maybe want concerrate not getting married because it's better to live in how many than

  221. to fight every day because there's not enough money on the table. I said,

  222. what happened with every days we remove away from you? Right? Are

  223. you going to blame God or are you going to say God, if you

  224. can give it to me in the first place, you allow me to have

  225. it again. That's why I say it's either we work very hard with our

  226. own strength. God, you do the over times you would late at night,

  227. but at what price? Oh at this place, say God, I'm

  228. gonna trust you in my career. I'm gonna trust you in my life because

  229. if you can bless someone, you can bless me as well. I gotta

  230. learn your principles. It's okay if you don't get it now. Some of

  231. you went to Pavilion to the worst test drive TESTLA car. But as you

  232. were there, right, people were like the worst they were testing the car.

  233. I was so happy. I was waiting to watch a movie. So

  234. I just told my wife, just going to just check it out. Nothing

  235. to do but just waiting there. It was very nice and everything that people

  236. that I look at the countermad they place, the booking people are just exploring

  237. it. And I come to this conclusion. Friends, it's nothing wrong to

  238. own a vehicle like that. The question is that do I therefore go with

  239. my own life? Yeah, I can make it work. I can make

  240. it with my friend answers or God. I'm just going to surrender. If

  241. it's not my time to have it right now, I won't. I won't

  242. pursuit. That's why it's very important. Friends. When God says, go

  243. therefore and make discipers of all nations, he's reminding us again time. It's

  244. not what you have, but I can give you time to make discipers.

  245. As you take care of my kingdom, I will take care of your life

  246. and your family as well. That's why I met two Chapter six was to

  247. detreat sicky first, the Kingdom of God first. The Bible is reminding us

  248. and everything sick him first. Sick him first, because you need wisdom for

  249. the problems or the child you face at a work place. You need wisdom.

  250. You need and understanding how to resolve issue at your workplace whereby the world

  251. has not seen before. Could you imagine Joseph being asked by Pharaoh, could

  252. you lead this nation? I know God has spoke to you seven years of

  253. plenty, seven years of famine. Now if you were Joseph and I am

  254. paraoh right now, I want you to lead this nation because it seems that

  255. God is speaking to you. What is your game plan for seven ways?

  256. What is your game plan? Conquer more land more? Maybe maybe femininely happened

  257. in Egypt. Okay, let's us take that. Maybe somewhere else there's more

  258. for thought. No, there's no feminine Perpetually there's food. It's like one

  259. of those cash of clash of plans games. Sorry, old reference. I

  260. do not blame games, so I don't know, all right, but you

  261. understand I'm trying to say, if you were Joseph, Friends, what would

  262. you tell Pharaoh that actually I have a game plan because the world is looking

  263. for a solution and the only one who has a solution for the problems that

  264. the world faces, God has a solution. That's why when we go and

  265. baptize, when we go and the words teach people to observe, God is

  266. reminding us again that I can work. Show you to change someone's else's hard.

  267. The hardest thing for an individual to do is a change life. Very

  268. hard. You can change economy policy, but it's very hard to change people

  269. mindset. It's very sustart to change people mindset. It's very tough. So,

  270. Friends, we don't go with our own purpose and direction. We go

  271. with God's agenda, God's purpose. Friends, treating God auss do make disciples

  272. baptized and teaching them to observe. At the end of the day, Friends,

  273. discipleship is the way to go to live our life. Discipleship is the

  274. way to go to live our life because in our daily living we can forget

  275. about what's really important. And all this I just spoke of in the past

  276. half an hour was not in my message. I'm gonna go to my first

  277. point sooner. Really sorry, Right, it's number one, No number one,

  278. Okay, just recapt Okay. Authority needs to be understood by earths first,

  279. before we go. You need to know that God has given the authority

  280. to us. So therefore you can speak to the family issue, your finances,

  281. your marriage, your life, your future, your sickness, your illness,

  282. and as well as the baggages you've been caring for the longest time of

  283. your life. All authority has been given to us. But therefore, friends,

  284. even as authority has been given to us, we need to express it

  285. out by faith. There's one part I understood authority. That the part is

  286. the avenue to express it. The avenue to express it is that we go,

  287. we do life the words we step out. Jesus says that you are

  288. like of the world. Let therefore let your life shine before men. To

  289. shine your life requires faith, requires faith. It takes faith to be generous.

  290. It takes faith to be generous. It takes faith to social community.

  291. That's the thrilled than us. Last week I was past a get event to

  292. get ready to support Albert Law for our church football club. Really really weird.

  293. If you have never been to event like that, I want the courage

  294. you go at least once. It will change your life. One. It's

  295. very interesting to see something like I've been there with there's no fun, but

  296. it's very interesting to see Albert the midst of a community that doesn't look anyone

  297. like us. Maybe I did me and then I was there. We pasted

  298. it. But because both was a big sized people thinking we have a big

  299. tieul know something like like this big chinaman committed support the football team like but

  300. website is very nice because it's such a privilege to be in the midst of

  301. the community and to see them God using Albert his gifting, his strength.

  302. Really and the boys want to let you know our church football team are so

  303. well groomed by Albert and this whole coaching team. Seriously, when they greeted

  304. me and Pastor, they shook our hand. They kiss our hand as a

  305. sign of you know that the respect they've given us. Then after when they

  306. lose of football match, they woke up to us. They say sorrier Batha,

  307. apologizing to us because the loss of football match. Have never seen any

  308. in any football team apologizing to other people. And to see this is the

  309. years of sewing into the team, our team that will fight. There was

  310. no there was no physical fight among the team members. Will respected the other

  311. team. Really, he has such a word. It's as such an respect

  312. among the other football team. And that's why the Bible says, let young

  313. therefore shine before men. It takes faith to see that God can turn something

  314. around. That's that's why you are great with purpose and direction, making disciples,

  315. baptizing and teaching them. Finally, my last point is going to be

  316. this. The Bible here says it was twenty meter twenty eight was twenty eight

  317. teaching them to observe all things have commanded you low and you always friends.

  318. When God says He's with us always, it's a promise of the Holy Spirit,

  319. except the one was. It says that, but you shall wait for

  320. the Holy Spirit. You shall wait except the one was. It says that

  321. you shall wait for the Holy Spirit. God has given us the Holy Spirit

  322. within us. This is the thing I explained my homes last Friday. I'm

  323. gonna explain to you when it comes to power, when it comes to power,

  324. powers right? Addictive? Isn't it? Power is very addictive? We

  325. have never said less power one even Christian songs more power. We have never

  326. this thing about it's true power in itself is very addictive. The position of

  327. power is very seductive. Was all I mean? You see that the moment

  328. you get you sit on the chair, you feel like with them everything right

  329. with one word, things get done right. Power even no chest but Fred's

  330. is it more power than we need? Because more power for what? When

  331. God says and review always for what? Thank Gods and review always? There

  332. is a purpose why God give us the Holy Spirit? And this with this,

  333. I'm just going to close the challenge with us. Many times in our

  334. lives we want more of God, more love, more power, But what

  335. for Where does it flow out? After that? Just flow up to our

  336. own family or beyond that. Many times in our own life we ask God,

  337. I want more? But are you using what you have in the first

  338. place? We keep asking God for more, but our bank reserve, or

  339. rather our reserve or God's presence always very high, but there is no outlet.

  340. And that's why sometimes the word is that we get stuck because it will

  341. be what we have we never use, isn't it. Sometimes we get frustrated

  342. because you want more. You want the field, that power. You understand

  343. that you want the field, the presence you're on the field, and anointing.

  344. But if there is no faith to exercise anointing, God's asking is that

  345. I pull out two awasser that there was no flowing out. Many times in

  346. our life in a church, if we continue to keep being our four walls

  347. alone, do only what we want, it's very hard for God to bless,

  348. very hard. I've seen it many times for the past twenty three years

  349. of doing church. Very hard people, individuals who just keep to themselves and

  350. not pull out, very hard to experience. And that's why sometimes in their

  351. own journey and their own life, we gets stuck like why is it like

  352. that? And God this aftermost remind us again low and review always to the

  353. end of the age, because God expects us after we understand authority is to

  354. go and make discipers. God wants us to remember that in the midst of

  355. your time, your busy schedule, don't forget to put in something called missions,

  356. because it takes time to baptize, to teach people to observe. In

  357. the midst of your busy schedule of friends, to remember that God is still

  358. in control. He's the Alpha and Omega if only we allow God in.

  359. We are called to walk by faith and not say. We are called to

  360. belief and not doubt. We are called to walk a coin of God's world.

  361. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more information on our
