You're listening to a message to go from X Church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. What about the tree? What about a tree?
-
All right? So you know that in twenty twenty three, moving into
-
the first two months of twenty twenty four, because our year doesn't end in
-
December. The year of ex Church ends in February, because at the end
-
of February we celebrate our birthday, you see. So our new year actually
-
starts right after our Annavistary celebration. It actually starts in the first week of
-
March. And that's why March we have or we start our u turn and
-
you can say that we start to pray and fast on the first month of
-
our year. So we are still in the theme, I should say,
-
although towards the end now the theme Heaven rules. And so I want to
-
sort of like bring this to a close. Let's read now a Daniel chapter
-
four twenty to twenty six. The tree that you saw. So this is
-
Daniel the prophet speaking to King Nebukneza, who was a great king, in
-
fact, some would argue the greatest king of that time. He conquered lands,
-
he was just untouchable. But then God gave him a vision that was
-
alarming and scary, okay, and he asked Daniel for help. Daniel,
-
please interpret this dream for me. So that's the context. And Daniel says,
-
the tree that you saw, this is the vision which grew and became
-
strong, whose height reached to the heavens, and which could be seen by
-
all the earth, whose leaves, Okay, leaves are also important, were
-
lovely, and it's fruit, abundance of fruit or so it's important, and
-
which was food for all. So tree is for food. Tree is for
-
food under which the bees of the field dwell, and in whose branches the
-
birds of the heaven had their home. It is you, so Daniel is
-
saying, you saw this vision. I'm telling you right now, it's about
-
you. You are that tree or king. You have grown and become strong,
-
for your greatness has grown and reaches to the heavens, and your dominion
-
to the end of the earth. And inasmuch as the king saw a watcher,
-
a holy one, so he saw a watcher, holy one coming down.
-
That's the vision of Rebuqudeza and saying, chop down the tree and destroy
-
it. Wow, he just was told that he was a tree and now
-
he hears bad news. Chop down the tree is what this being from heaven
-
coming down said, is going to happen. Chop down the tree and destroy
-
it, But leave it stump and roots in the earth, bound with a
-
band of iron and bronze in the tender grass of the field. Let him
-
be wet with the dew of heaven. Let him graze with the beasts of
-
the field, till seven times pass over him. That seven years. This
-
is the interpretation o King, And this is the decree of the Most High,
-
which has come upon my lord, the King. They shall drive you
-
from men. Your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and
-
they shall make you eat grass like oxen. They shall wet you with the
-
dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, till you know
-
that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomever
-
he chooses. I think the final verse is, and in as much as
-
they gave the command to leave the stump and roots of the tree, your
-
kingdom shall be assured to you. This is good news, of course,
-
that at the end of the day your kingdom shall be assured to you,
-
or given back to you after. Somebody say after, something has to happen
-
before something good, something amazing takes place, something awesome, some racle,
-
some breakthrough, something has to happen. I wonder what is that after in
-
your life? Today? Maybe we should ask God, God, what is
-
that after? After I know what? After I pray? What? How?
-
After I give? How? After I serve? What? What is
-
the after? In my life? We're starting a new year twenty twenty four,
-
and we want to know that God loves us even though we might have
-
bad times in our lives, and you know, times that we feel like
-
we were going to give up, times that were so destructive. Maybe our
-
finances were affected, our relationships were affected. So we also feel like,
-
wow, you know, something has come down, and we feel like we've
-
been chopped down like a tree. And yet there is this good God that
-
we serve, who loves us, who actually has a good ending for us
-
and says it will all come back to you and more or after. So
-
I don't know what our afters are because they could be different ones who have
-
different afters. After you obey, after you ask your wife for forgiveness,
-
after you ask your husband for forgiveness, after you forgive your mom, after
-
you forgive your dad, after you let go of the bitterness. I don't
-
know what after means to you, after you give your tithes, after you
-
pray the prayers, after you commit yourself to serve the Lord. I don't
-
know. I don't know. I don't want to speculate, but you know,
-
you know, and the Lord in his word has got a concept of
-
I will do this for you after you have come to know that Heaven rules.
-
And that's our theme, the theme of twenty twenty three, coming into
-
twenty twenty four, first two months of it at least, is that Heaven
-
rules. Question, that's Heaven rule in our lives or do we rule?
-
Okay, so let's move on. Let's look at the next light. It
-
looks like there's still hope for a tree if the stump and the roots are
-
still intact. So God says, cut it down, but leave the stump
-
and the roots. And to me, when I look at it, God
-
is a very good God. And sometimes you look like you're at the end
-
of your wits, you're the at the end of your hope, and yet
-
God says, don't take everything away, leave the stump, leave the roots,
-
because I have a plan to bring life back to this tree. So
-
God is a good God. And it looks like if it's stump and roots
-
are still intact, and the soil is good, there still hope. Somebody
-
say amen, But the soil must also be good. The Bible speaks about
-
good seed good soil, and when the good seed is sown in good soil,
-
you will have thirty sixty four one hundred four. You remember that verse.
-
God is not just saying good seed. He wants us to make sure
-
that we have good soil, because the good seed is from God. The
-
good seed is his word. But God is always looking from good soil.
-
Do we have good soil this morning? I pray we do the good soil
-
of our hearts. You can hear a good word this morning. And if
-
our hearts are not good, you know you will find like the Bible said,
-
the birds of the air will come because the seed fell by the wayside.
-
Or maybe your heart is a stony heart where you rejoice for a while,
-
but you know there's no root in you. There's no root. That's
-
right, that's right. I'm saying that the root is very important. There's
-
no root. Or maybe your heart is full of cares of this world that
-
it chokes the word and you know, just kills it. Okay, So
-
the word of God is good, but the soil must be good, and
-
let's move on. God's intention wasn't to remove the king. Somebody say,
-
Amen, his intention wasn't. So some of you are going through tough times
-
and you think that God doesn't care, He doesn't see he wants to destroy
-
you. No, his intention wasn't to remove the king, but to replant
-
him. However, you know that you can replant a tree. You can
-
because God is interested in the soil. All of our lives right here,
-
right now is like a tree. Are you with me? Is like a
-
tree. And sometimes when we don't see the kind of fruits we want to
-
see, you don't just check the tree. You got to check the soil.
-
And you got to check whether your roots are firmly rooted in the good
-
soil of God's word. So the Lord wanted to replant from the place where
-
Nebukneza was planted in his own glory, in his own ways and kingdom,
-
in his own price, in his own strength. So therefore he achieved whatever
-
it is that he achieved. But God said, although I'm going to cut
-
you down, I'm going to show you who you really are and who I
-
really am, that I rule not you, That I'm God not you,
-
that Heaven rules not you. Are you with me? So you've got to
-
understand this. After you understand this, then you be restored back to you.
-
Okay. So this is nebu planted in his own strength, and the
-
Lord says, leave the stump, leave the roots, because I'm about to
-
replant Nebucan into a soil that is not his strength. But mine is not
-
his power. But mind is not his glory. But mine is not his
-
ways, but mine, same roots, you know, same roots, same
-
stump. What do you think will be different the soil, the ground?
-
Is it God's way or his way? So God didn't want to remove him,
-
but replant him. And I want to speak that to every one of
-
you in this room. God wants to replant you this year. All right.
-
If you're not bearing fruit, If you are, praise the Lord.
-
He just will water you and put fertilizer on you and so that you can
-
bear much more fruit. But if you are not in that place, the
-
Lord loves you and he wants to replant but it's after had acknowledged the king.
-
He is the king of kings, and that had to submit to God's
-
way, it's not his own. Ladies and gentlemen, I want to remind
-
you something here that we say in ex church now and then we probably should
-
say more, but it can be taken negatively about our remind you what we
-
say. See because many of us like to find out about our mission in
-
life. So it was our mission in life? What's a purpose? And
-
we like to go for mission, We like to do mission, We like
-
to give to missions. We like to go here or there for missions.
-
And so we think like that right, and and and yet the Lord spoke
-
to me many years ago and said, Kenneth, the greatest mission in life
-
is submission. That is the hardest to do. You can go to Africa
-
or even Timbaktu, spend all the money you know, give your life even
-
for missions you can you know, you can give to the poor. You
-
know. The Bible speaks about this right that you can do all these things
-
and yet miss out because God is not after number one. Our eyes on
-
the mission feel that's important, but that's not number one to him. The
-
number one goal that God wants to get all of us to is a heart
-
and a spirit of submission to him. And after you have submissioner, doesn't
-
matter whether it's tim Buck to all Jalancabun. Amen, doesn't matter anymore because
-
I'm submitted. It's not always overseas. It can be just my neighbor.
-
I want to obey the Lord. I want to do his will. I
-
want to please his heart. Amen, this is important. Genesis to nine.
-
You know, it's amazing though. When I said, Lord, what
-
do I speak to our people about this morning? He said, tell them
-
about a tree and how important trees are in my will. Okay, I
-
say, okay, God, here we go Genesis to nine. Right there
-
at the beginning, and all out of the ground, the Lord God made
-
every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. Again
-
the second time we mentioned that trees are meant for food. How are the
-
people around you being fed by your life? Are you being nourishment? Are
-
you bring encouragement? Are you being a blessing to the people around you or
-
only to yourself? Because the alarming thought is that you would be cut down
-
if you're not bearing fruit or being food to the people around you. So
-
we don't want to be cut down. That's why your pastor shares with you
-
this morning with out of love and humility, because I want you to really
-
do well this year. But this is God's real, this God's way.
-
He made us all into trees, and use enough analogies in the Bible about
-
trees, you know, and about us. I'll give you more, but
-
you here we go. The tree of life was also in the in the
-
midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,
-
two trees were specifically mentioned. And then in the next scripture we find
-
in Genesis too as well. I think. So okay, sixteen and seventeen,
-
same chapter, but different verses. Let's see what happened. And the
-
Lord God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden you
-
may freely eat, meaning that even the tree of life you can eat.
-
Yeah, But of the tree of the knowledge of good will evil you shall
-
not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, you shall
-
surely die. So there's death that also comes when we eat out of the
-
wrong tree. And yet God also gave us a choice that's also a tree
-
of life, So tree can bring you death. And tree can bring you
-
life. Isn't that quite similar to human beings can bill you or can kill
-
you. Words that come off your mouth can either be pleasant or very very
-
disappointing. That's why the Bible says that from the same spring doesn't come out
-
bitter, what the and sweet? It cannot be right. It has to
-
be only one kind of source. And so the Bible teaches us not to
-
allow, you know, bad words, discouraging words, our words that bring
-
people down to come up our mouths. What kind of a tree are we
-
this morning? A man? Okay, let's move on Revelations twenty two too.
-
Let's look at more trees now. So in the middle of the street,
-
these revelations. So this is the this is this is beyond us.
-
This is where we are going to, and we're going to find the same
-
tree that was found in the garden of Eden here. For in the middle
-
of the street in heaven and on the on either side of the river was
-
the tree of life. So the tree of life was taken out of the
-
garden of Eden and put into heaven, and we will see it one day.
-
So God didn't remove the tree, I see, like he didn't cut
-
it down, take it away, causing to disappear is still there. And
-
I love the part that says the leaves of the tree were the healing of
-
the nations. The leaves itself of this tree can heal you. I love
-
it that if we were the trees of God, we can also heal people
-
just our leaves. Haven't even talked about our fruits yet. You with me?
-
This is this is, this is amazing. Let's move on. Let's
-
talk about more trees. Now. Did you know there were so many trees
-
in the Bible. Okay, so we didn't choose the tree of life.
-
Thank God. The tree of life is Jesus. So we don't have to
-
wait until revelations to eat of his fruit. Because Jesus is the tree of
-
life. Somebody say, Amen, Jesus is the tree of life, and
-
he's available for all of us who will believe. Somebody say, amen,
-
eat of that tree, the tree of life. Now for the sin of
-
taking the tree or from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
-
For that sin of actually is not the tree that we sin. It's not
-
the eating or from that tree. It is the disobedience knowing that God says,
-
don't eat and we eat it's sin and it broke God's heart. It
-
almost destroyed God's plan. I say almost, because nothing can really destroy God's
-
plan. His will shall be done. But you know God's you know beautiful
-
picture of how he painted it all together. We destroyed it by sin,
-
and God had to send a savior. Do you know where your savior hung
-
on? Mmm? Relatians treat the tin. Wow. Did you know that
-
even when he died for us, he died on the tree. Christ has
-
redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us,
-
For it is written cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree. And
-
of course some of you probably think he really hang on a tree. Where
-
he hung on the cross, the wood from the cross was made out of
-
a tree, made from a tree. So it all began with a tree.
-
And we ate of a tree that we shouldn't have eaten. And for
-
that purpose, our savior had to hang on a tree. Now I'm gonna
-
review to you another scripture here that's gonna probably blow your mind. Here we
-
go first, Peter two twenty four. I love this scripture. I quote
-
it a lot because at the end of this scripture, it says by whose
-
stripes you will healed? And so every time I want to pray for people's
-
healing or my own healing Iquote First Bitter two twenty four. But tell me,
-
what do you think amazed me when I was looking at this scripture?
-
Can anyone guess what my focus is on? Yes, yes, you're right,
-
you're not wrong. But my focus was on the word before tree because
-
it's not a tree. Have you ever read that it's a specific tree that
-
he had to be on, because it was a specific tree that we ate
-
from. Now, trees can last a long time, when not hundreds and
-
hundreds, thousands and thousands of years trees. I don't know whether this is
-
true, but could I suggest to you, could it be actually from the
-
tree of the knowledge of good or evil that this cross was made out from.
-
It blows my mind that the same tree. Probably I'm not saying I'm
-
right, I'm not saying that I've done a research, but I don't know.
-
Maybe that tree of the knowledge of good or evil was still there somewhere
-
and they cut down that tree and made it into a cross. Because it's
-
not just a tree that he died on. Is d tree that blows my
-
mind. If that's really true, they saved that tree that you know was
-
the center of man's sin and made it years later into two pieces of wood
-
that will make up the cross where Jesus hung because he wasn't satisfied that it
-
would be any tree but the tree, and it just the way got plans.
-
If it's really true that this happened, then the way God plans,
-
it's amazing. And and he you know, it's he pays the price for
-
which our debt has come. Are you also me? I know, I
-
know it's quiet now because you're thinking, oh, it's faster theologically right on
-
this. Well I might not be, but just think about it. It's
-
not a tree is the tree. And he pays for the you know,
-
He didn't come to just pay any debt. He paid the exact debt that
-
we had. So God remembered man's disobedience for centuries. And could it be
-
that God preserved that tree because nobody knows. We only know what happened to
-
the Tree of life. It was brought to heaven, right because the Tree
-
of life was found in revelations. But we don't know what happened to the
-
Tree of the knowledge of good and evil? All right, everybody, okay,
-
oh silent now everybody, all right, okay, let's move on.
-
Let's move on. Psalms one, tree talking about you and me as a
-
tree. Here we go. Some of you know this by heart. He
-
shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. You know how
-
Psalms Chapter one starts. It starts by saying, blessed, blessed is he
-
blessures a man who walks not in the council of the ungodly. And you
-
can read on and on and on, and then he goes on to say,
-
he shall be like a tree. Everyone in this room, You and
-
I can be like trees. Somebody say, Amen, planted by the rivers
-
of water that brings forth fruit. So fruit is important? Why because you
-
and I are supposed to be food for the people around us. But who's
-
the leaf? Remember the leaf of the Tree of life brought healing to nations.
-
And so your leaf, whatever that you produce out of this tree that
-
God has given you, because you're planted in Him, planted in His word,
-
planted by the river. What does the next slight say? Oh?
-
I love that this one says that says whatever he does shall prosper. Amen
-
this year, whatever we do, we shall prosper. How after we are
-
planted by the river, planted by the waters, gat get planted, get
-
planted, people, get planted this year. All right, what's the next
-
one? Okay? Ephesians five twenty six. What does the Word say that
-
he might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word.
-
So this is the scripture that tells us that the Word of God is like
-
water. And what did someone tree say? Planted by the rivers of water?
-
And if water is the word, Word is the water, then we
-
must be planted by the word. And when we are planted by the word,
-
the promise is that you will always bear fruit, your liaf will never
-
die. And that's why you can continuously be a healing to people around you,
-
and that whatever you do will prosper. This is the promise of God.
-
You are a tree? Are you a tree of life or just of
-
the knowledge of good and evil? Because a lot of people are chasing off
-
the knowledge and knowledge sometimes stops you from experiencing God because you know too much
-
or you think you know too much. And then Lad says reject that this
-
year. Don't just be one that pursues after knowledge. Knowledge is good,
-
but knowledge without the heart is really nothing. Knowledge without love for God can
-
be dangerous. Knowledge without vision can go nowhere? Are you still with me?
-
Come on, everybody, let's get planted by the rivers of water the
-
word of God. Let that you know be soaked up by the roots,
-
because God is going to replant us this year. God is going to replant
-
us. Come on, everybody, be planted and be blessed. All right,
-
let's move on. Matthew seven seventeen to twenty. What does the word
-
of God say? More trees, everybody, More trees. Even so,
-
every good tree bears good fruit. So you are a tree? Are you
-
bearing good fruit? Good? Good time to ask ourselves the question at the
-
beginning of the year. But a bad tree bears bad fruit? Are you
-
bearing bearing bad fruit? Please? Don't? But how how do you do
-
this? Do you have control over this? Yes? You can. You
-
have control over the fruit. If you have control over the root, that's
-
it. Just think about where your roots are and the rest will take care
-
of yourself. We have no control of the leaf, We have no control
-
of the over the fruit. I'm telling you right now. But you can
-
decide on where you are rooted. Amen, Praise God. So let's move
-
on. A good tree cannot bad bear bad fruit. That's what the Bible
-
is trying to tell us. If you are a good tree, you cannot
-
there's no way you can bear bad fruit. If you are a bad tree,
-
there's no way you can bear good fruit. So the fruit is not
-
your focus. The root is. And are you rooted this year? January
-
twenty twenty four. What are you rooted in? Who are you rooted in?
-
A man? Let's choose together, ex got the communing and ex chanch
-
global who are watching me? Now, let's choose together to be rooted in
-
the world by the rivers of water. Water is the word of God.
-
And we shall be fruitful in and out of season. Our leaves will not
-
grow, dry, will not fall, and everything we do will prosper.
-
Don't you think this is a beautiful promise? Even your health will prosper.
-
Somebody say, amen, let's finish it. Every tree that does not bear
-
good fruit is cut down. Oh so we heard this from Daniel right.
-
This being comes down from heaven and it says you are that tree. Cut
-
you down? But thank God the stump and the root. Because God knows
-
if I can keep the root, I might change the fruit, so you
-
might be cut down. God is going to preserve your roots. And what
-
are you going to do your roots? You better get replanted this year into
-
a place where you are going to grow again and be fruitful and multiply and
-
be blessed and be a blessing. Let's try to finish this cut down and
-
thrown into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.
-
You know your roots, buy your fruits. But again I want to say,
-
you don't have to take care of your fruits. You take care of
-
your roots, and you will bear because a good tree cannot bear bad fruit.
-
Matthew seven seventeen twenty. Let's bring it to the next one. John
-
fifteen, verse eight. Everybody knows this. Let's look at it. By
-
this, my father's glorified that you bear much fruit, so you will be
-
my disciples. So you will be my disciples. God wants this tree that
-
he's given us to bear not just fruit, but much fruit. Again,
-
you and I have no control over the fruits. We only have control over
-
the roots. If you take care of your roots, I guarantee you your
-
fruits will be in abundance. And the deeper you go into this water,
-
the deeper you draw out from God, the more fruitful you will be.
-
And that's why it says you will be recognized as my disciples. Are you
-
all stay with me? You are see So the next slide will tell you
-
this. We are not disciples just by what we say, not enough to
-
go out saying I'm a disciple of Christ. I'm a disciple of Christ.
-
No people are going to say, a way your fruits, I'm a disciple
-
of christal a, weare your fruits, and not just any fruit, much
-
fruit. So you don't get recognized to be a disciple, or you can't
-
confirm even your discipleship just by your words. But you confirm it by your
-
words, not just by not just by what you say, but what you
-
show. And we show what we saw. We show what we saw,
-
we reap what we saw. So if you really you don't control the show,
-
so you control the soul you don't have. Oh I wish I get
-
I can be a better daughter. I wish I can be a better son.
-
I wish you don't have to And people feel, oh I fail I
-
feel I actually want to be better one by I fail, I keep failing.
-
I want to be a better husband, I keep failing. I want
-
to be a better way by keep failing. We try to control the show,
-
but we've got to control the soul. What are you sowing in your
-
thoughts? What you're sewing your heart? What are you sowing you know,
-
little seeds? Because the Bible is very clear, you will reap what you
-
saw. What will show you know, good health doesn't just come from you
-
painting a good health paint from ici. They're selling it out from outside.
-
Nip on pain, paint this on you or whatever cosmetic and you will look
-
healthy. However, you know that healthy is what you sow inside, and
-
if you eat well and do everything on the inside well, it will beam
-
out from your face. And people who go like, hey, you look
-
healthy because of what you sew inside, are you also with me? There
-
is no way you can control just on the outside and say he looks healthy
-
because of some cosmetic. Hello, don't be like a Christmas tree where you
-
put all the decorations on the outside and inside the middle of the tree is
-
rotting. And when you take all the way the decorations. The tree is
-
dying. No, let's not be that. Let's not be external cosmetic people.
-
But let's let's let's really say, God, I understand your truth.
-
Your truth is is on the inside. Your truth is what I do with
-
my heart, what I do with my spirit, man, what I do,
-
how I is so in the world. This year, I want to
-
do more of that. Lord. I want to take care of what's on
-
the inside my heart, the health of my heart. No bitterness, the
-
root of bitterness. Bitterness must not take root in my life. I must
-
forgive all these inside things. You know. I must think properly about people.
-
I must not judge right and all that. So take care of the
-
inside, take care of the internal, and the external will begin to show.
-
Can I hear good? Amen? Praise the Lord. Now let me
-
talk to you about rebellion. As I draw to a close, Wow,
-
there's rebellion. And then when I look at rebellion that people rebel against God's
-
will, rebel against God's word, rebel against authority that God puts on your
-
life, and I realized that even rebellion has a tree connected to it.
-
So let's look at David's son Absolom in Second Samuel eighty nine, Absolom was
-
totally rebellous towards David, slept with David's concubines. Uh, you know,
-
just crazy the things he did, and totally wanted to just destroy his father's
-
name. And yet David was a man after God's own heart, and God
-
was going to have his way. And so one day they were chasing Absolom,
-
and Absolom was trying to flee from David's men. And it says here
-
that Absolom rode on amal Mel went under thick balls of a great Terriban tree.
-
Wow, when you're rebellious against the Lord, a tree will meet you.
-
And you know one thing about this is the tree didn't kill Absolute.
-
He hung. Listen to this. I don't know, but I can go
-
deeper into this, teachinger. You know what actually got Absolum caught on this
-
tree his strength, because his hair was the best part of his body.
-
He was so good looking. The Bible said he had hair like nobody had.
-
Yeah, you read the Bible for yourself, really really beautiful, fine
-
hair. That was his strength. That was his good looking one of us
-
value. And I want to warn all of us here lovingly and I'm talking
-
about your hair, and she smiling. I say, you know, I
-
don't think I'll be caught anywhere. Sometimes when we go by our own strength,
-
right, it is our strength that finally gets catch us up with us.
-
And the tree didn't kill him, Oh was merciful. Right, So
-
he got knocked off his horse because he's now hanging by his heir. You
-
know, the tree is involved in rebellion. It's like God saying, I'm
-
using the tree, and here we go. The tree has hands up catch
-
the fullest hair he's stringing now. But God, God didn't get the tree
-
to kill him just to catch him. The rest of the story could be
-
that they showed him mercy or not. But David's men killed him. That's
-
sad because man still has a choice. Then I look at another scripture and
-
it's Matthew twenty seven to five. Can anybody guess? Anybody gets Some theologians
-
call this the Judas tree the Judas tree. Now scripture, when you read
-
it doesn't actually say that he hanged himself on the tree, but most scholars
-
believe that aywhere else he could he hang himself? La right? So,
-
and because when he fell he fell onto a piece of land, you know,
-
and they of course went ahead and changed that piece of land because they
-
said that land was bought with blood. And so then it became, you
-
know, a piece of land that they used for. What did they use
-
it for? To bury the Bible? Talk about it, but I can't
-
remember. Some you may remember what that piece of land. But anyway,
-
they knew that they couldn't do anything else with that piece of land. And
-
so that piece of land. In fact, the piece of land is like
-
feel of blood. So it was a feel. So he relad He hanged
-
himself in the field power lines. There were no power lines, then it
-
could be it probably was a tree. He betrayed Jesus the word of God.
-
And when you betray the word of God, be careful because the tree
-
is waiting for you. Ah. No, God's very merciful. God's very
-
very merciful, very very merciful, very very patient, very very good.
-
Somebody say, amen, He's not gonna send the tree after you, not
-
yet? Come on, come on, are you also with me? So
-
he hung him down on the tree. Rebellion brought him to that place.
-
All right, now X one eighteen, I shouldn't go deep into it,
-
of course with time. But this is now. This man purchased a field
-
with the wages of iniquity, and falling headlong, he burst open in the
-
middle and all his head trails gushed out. I'm so sorry to do this
-
to you. Early the morning before breakfast. So scholars are saying that when
-
he went and hung himself on a tree, possibly in this field, that
-
no one really discovered him. He was alone, No one discovered him,
-
no one saw him yet until he bloated. So this is was scholars,
-
if you try to study it. He bloated like a dead man for a
-
few days, bloated, and the tree branch that he hung himself on must
-
have gave way under his weight. And when the tree branch gave way,
-
he fell. And because of his bloatedness, you know, the stomach just
-
blew open. And it is a very right, rrible death. Now again
-
pass Why did you share this with us so in the morning, just you
-
know, it's just Bible study, Just Bible study. Okay, you don't
-
want to die alone, bloated somewhere. You want to be a tree.
-
Come on, planted by the rivers of water. Your fruit will not end
-
neither will your leave die. Come on, and you will prosper. Those
-
who are planted in the house of the Lord will bear fruit even in all
-
age. That's what the Bible says. Come on, people. The Bible
-
speaks a lot about trees and planting root and fruit. Okay, I'm going
-
to close. Now, Let's do a lot's prayer very quickly. And this
-
is the lot's prayer in Matthew six nine to thirteen. Okay, Matthew six
-
hundred thirteen. You'll read it, and then we'll close in this manner.
-
Therefore, pray. Who is the one that taught us how to pray?
-
Jesus. Very important to remember that, because if he taught us to pray
-
like this, mess he prayed like this. He prayed like this. So
-
if you want his victory, then pray victorious prayers like this. Our Father
-
in heaven, Hello, it be your name, your kingdom. Come.
-
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this
-
day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our
-
debtists. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the
-
evil one, For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
-
Amen. Let me try to do something with you very quickly as I
-
look at the last slide. So the Bible says, towards the end of
-
the Lord's prayer, yours is the kingdom the power of the glory forever.
-
Amen. I believe in a God of order. When he writes the Bible
-
through his different servants, everything should be read in order. When God mentions
-
it first, he means it to be first. When he mentioned this last,
-
he means it to be last. So when I look at kingdom,
-
power and glory, I have a lesson coming to me that I want to
-
apply in my life. Let's begin. Depending on what kingdom you are following,
-
the power will flow and depending where you acknowledge that power comes from,
-
to that person, you will give glory. That's the order. And if
-
this year you want to taste of that glory, not your own glory,
-
then I'm going to encourage all of us to start with the kingdom. Whose
-
kingdom are we planted in? Whose way are we following? Whose word are
-
we listening to? See? Nebunza, if you ask him before he encountered
-
God, he will say, this is my kingdom, my way or the
-
highway. So God came and said, hold on a minute. I know
-
you think it's your kingdom, but my kingdom is greater, and I'm about
-
to show you. So if it's your kingdom, excuse me, and the
-
source of it is your kingdom, then no wonder. It is true your
-
own power that you do things, because the power that finally flows will flow
-
from the kingdom that you will subscribe to. So if I see you move
-
around with your own strength, I already know who your kingdom is, and
-
your kingdom is your kingdom. But when you move in a power that is
-
not yours, I also know that the source must be not yours, and
-
either the kingdom of darkness or the Kingdom of God. Simple, So kingdom
-
must always come first. Somebody say, a man, you don't have to
-
worry about the glory. The glory flows when you get the kingdom right.
-
Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall
-
be added to you. Matthew six thirty three, sick, first the kingdom.
-
You don't have to determine the glory, the blessing, the breakthrough,
-
the miracles, the healing, the glory of God. No you have to
-
be concerned in the last week of January, on this first month of twenty
-
twenty four, Whose kingdom planted by the rivers of water, God's word?
-
Whose kingdom? Worry about the kingdom? First? If it's your kingdom,
-
then it's going to be your power. And do you have enough power to
-
really solve your problems? Some of you things you do and God is going
-
to allow you to do it for a little while more until you hit a
-
break wall or encounter another tree. So here we go again. Let's focus
-
on the kingdom because from that focus and from that dependency and from that trust
-
comes the power. And when it's God's kingdom, it will be God's power.
-
Yours is the kingdom. Yours is the power. The power God will
-
flow. And then you start seeing things happen. Wow, wow, Wow.
-
Then testimonies come right because wow, how did my boss change his heart
-
so quickly? How did my change his attitude so quickly? How did my
-
friend suddenly want to accept Christ? Because not your power, the power of
-
the Lord flowing. And finally, because you know it's God's kingdom, because
-
you know it's God's power who you give glory to. Of course God God
-
will get the glory. But if you think it's your kingdom, your power,
-
who you give the glory to you? And it happens all the time
-
in this life. People think it's me what. I'm a self made man.
-
I asked somebody recently whether his boss this particular country has come to know
-
the Lord because this country has got generals around him who are Christians. And
-
he said, this country not too long ago stood up and say, I
-
thank all of you for trying to convert me, but I'm a self made
-
man. Oh. I thought to myself that tree is coming, she is
-
coming. I guess it's so scared for people when they talk like that.
-
But there are still looking as us, and just that there are little Napoleons
-
that are also need little netbook as us. God, all the glory belongs
-
to you, your kingdom. All this got the company because you see this
-
place is God's power. Because God's word says do this, so I follow.
-
But I didn't have the power to do. God's power made this happen.
-
God's power put up all the ecorts. God's power gave you the money
-
to donate to this building fund. God's power, and who gets a glory
-
at the end of the day God, to God be there glory. That's
-
why we go to some churches and they get it right. Right, They've
-
got a big plaque in the front. What is the similar words, Almost
-
in every church the plaque to God be the Glory, because they know they
-
couldn't have built it without God. Father, in the name of Jesus,
-
I want to say thank you for this message that has gone forth this morning,
-
for ex got the communing and all of ex churches. We want to
-
get it right. We want to make sure that You're kingdom come. That's
-
right. Your kingdom has to first come into our lives, into our day
-
today. Walk with you. Yes, your kingdom come first, and then
-
your will be done. Many of us want the will of God first before
-
the kingdom. No, it will not happen. Because God is God of
-
order, His kingdom must come first. So Lord, in the name of
-
Jesus, this year we want to choose your kingdom. We want to seek
-
your kingdom. Your word or Lord will be like water, and as a
-
tree, we shall be planted by that water. Our roots will draw from
-
the Word, from the water that gives strength to the tree and causes the
-
tree to never lose its leaves, and never stop bearing fruit. Not just
-
fruit, but much fruit in the name of Jesus. We hope you've been
-
blessed by this message. For more information on our church, please visit nex
