The Importance of Knowing and Serving Your Calling | Pastor Yvonne

All right, You guys kept taking your seats and you can you can

either return a slip or paper. You can keep it plan but please,

you know, dispose it off responsibily. Please do not dirty the environment.

Okay, you can keep it as a scribe paper as you take your notes

for today, you can. Uh. If not, you can actually pass

it back to the end of seat. Okay, all right, okay,

So how many of you sat there and kept just setting at your own place

and no one found you? Okay, Samantha, Okay, So I will

just explain. There were a few groups of people here. First of bit,

the fish men. So the role the fisherman was to go out and

fish, and then majority of you were fishes, right, And there are

four categories of fish the small, medium, large, and extra lunch.

Why I say in the sizes because uh, the extra lunch lin You know

it is harder to catch, right, Your assignment is to say no for

twenty twenty times? Right, yeah, two stub but so harder fishes are

very hard to catch. Try catching a whill try fishing a whale out?

Uh one, I don't know why it's extra large, labe, but you

get what I mean, right, And there were some of you as well,

you didn't have a role. Okay, So there were actually technically about

six categories of people here and this will illustrate what I want to share with

us here today. Okay. The title of the message is drum roda Okay,

the importance of knowing and serving your calling. All right, So the

roles that was given were given to you. Uh, you know, it

symbolizes you're calling. You're either called to be a fisherman, caught to be

a s size fish SML or ex selfish or you know, you just don't

know are calling. So those of you who do not have a role,

basically, you know, you don't know why your calling is. You know

your purpose in life. And that was intentional as well. So those who

roughly have a calling, right, those of you you knew what you needed

to do and and some of you couldn't have guests. Don't know how many

fishermen were that who were the fisherman? Yeah, fishermen. Did you know

that the fishes that you need to catch, they have different sizes. Do

you know that they're gonna say, you know, you have to achieve a

certain amount of knows before they say yes, you didn't right. And and

sometimes you know, we're in our role, sometimes there isn't clarity also okay,

in our calling. Sometimes when we are not clear, we do not

know what we need to do. Okay. So this is based on what

pasta kind of has shed. And I'm gonna start with this. You know,

all of us here, we need to know that you have been caught.

We have been caught, and you know, God created us and we

were sent to earth in a way, I'm not sent from outer space,

you know, our parents created us. Uh. In a where I was

younger, I always thought that we just you know, some pelican dropper back

and then that appear in front of my family, you know, all cartoons.

Sometimes it's not really have ful a bit misleading. Uh. We were

sent to earth, all right, and God with with that sending with that

creation God, it comes with power, all right. And and with power

is purpose and along the way, right, Sometimes life can get the best

of us as well, Tony, Tony, she could have distracted us.

Probably we can get too caught up with a lot of things that we forget.

But you know, all of us, you know that God has sent

us to earth, and when he sent us to earth, we are on

a big mission, all right. We have an assignment. We have a

thesis. I got a thesis of life that would last probably fifty sixty years

for some of us, some people longer than that one hundred years, or

some probably thirty years. But all of us here at the end of the

day, right, this assignment, this calling that God has given to us.

When we appear before God one day, you know, when we have

you know, when our life on earth is done, when we appear before

him, right, God is just going to ask us what have we done

with the call that He has given to us? Yeah, and I got

to start with that. And because all of us, we have to be

accountable with the talents. So God has given us resources, and the resources

is supposed to help us with the calling that He has given to us.

So when we appear before him and we have to account back. Right,

It's like you know, in the older days, you have your accounting legs,

you know what that is. Now you appear with we forgot with your

accounting softwares and you know that has to be that bit and credit and both

sides have to actually balance out, right, and and and when we appear

before him, he's going to ask, what have you done? I have

the title given you your calling, your mission on Earth. Uh did you

actually really understand the assignment? Uh? Did you really understand the call?

And because when we truly understand it, when we know it, then we

were going to serve the call. Okay, you go back to the title

first. Okay, so know your call and then you know, serve it

all right, and and let me stay in our calling, right, you

know kind of also did share. When we stay in our calling, we

stay under God's covering and protection. For example, our parents like, uh,

every good parent like, okay, I you know I've sent you to

Nothingham to study, Please study well, and then you know, get your

degree and then you know graduate. Uh. So that is the calling,

that is the task that you have been given. And then you know,

I've been a student before. I'm like a life in kase. I'm from

Benang right first I away from parent or I'm like, wow, can go

explore the world. And you decide to start out of that? Parents like

go do well? In your studies. But then you you know, waste

I wasted my time quite a bit, you know. I took up part

time job for six months because it was quite a good, cool project.

It was to travel to every state in Malaysia. I was working with an

event management company and that company they were employed to actually uh scout talents uh

grassroots footballers uh in every state of Malaysia and and and so. So the

event management company was supposed to go there do this event, but my role

was to you know, just pain kids face so, you know, face

painting. But it was really cool, Okay, at the part of time,

I thought it was really cool because I get to travel to every single

state in Malaysia. Being a Malaysian, I've not been to every state.

That number one. Number two. You get paid to do it, and

the money was pretty good. Actually allow us itself was five hundred they but

they yeah, transport all included. And because it was a really really good

jack for the company, I was like, hey, shouldn't miss it,

right, Wow, four hundred there's a lot of money for a student.

Because that was my allowance per month now is per day free food and I

get to fly to Sabah and sarahas for free. And you know, and

and I remember as well, that was my first time because the company booked

out half the flight right uh to bring everyone over. Uh. And and

and that was my first time celebrating my birthday in a plane as well,

so they may arrangement asia. Uh. Last flight out, I remember,

I was sleeping and suddenly I got woken up, you know, the cabin

cruiser screaming my ears, singing a birthday song. So I was dragged out

into the front of the plane. You know, there was a celebration.

So they managed to bring in cake, which not supposed bringing cake, bringing

candle, bringing fire into the plane. So that'sheard off, right because for

safety you shouldn't. But they managed to and it's not illegally, you know,

they made arrangement with a share to do that. So I thought like

wow, so cool, got distracted, and I started skipping church quite a

lot of the time. I'm like, okay, you know, six months

of traveling, who wouldn't want right, So and then you know, stepping

out of what my parents sent me to Kao to do. I did fail

some subjects as well, and that's one of it, Like and because I

did a degree that was totally different from I started with diploma first in accounts,

and then my degree I started, I did psychology, so you know,

I thought, like, very easy, and we've got psychology right,

you can just make sense out of things. Not not at all, not

at all because my training, remember it's just one plum, so one must

it goes to do one I and I was from pure science stream, so

I did chemistry, biology and phase and then you know, coming into psychology,

a lot of uncertainties on. There's so many different theories to explain just

one problem. I've not cited any journals before and now I have to read

journals and site journals. So I didn't know how to write cost references because

when I did account it was just four exam base so it was a lot

of adjustments. But I still wanted to play. I still wanted to enjoy

the five hundred ring gate day allowance on top of the pay that I got,

so it was actually caught really good money. It was fifty ring an

hour of work, so we had about eight hours. Yeah, so it

was really good. Laha. But can't beat the US dollars that you have

and your travel through the US work and travel. But I decided to step

up. And you know, likewise said, so when we step out on

God's covering, we entered into danger zone. Those of you are homes right,

and we talk about you know, God being a good shepherd and we

we are the sheep. No ships who decide to leave their pen uh,

they would definitely be more exposed to danger, right, because the shepherd isn't

there to protect. So you know, kind of Chad. You know,

there's this lady American worship leader. At one point of time, she was

really really famous and you know her voice, you know, she sank really

an angel and every time she just start singing, you know, there's just

really strong presence and anything I've got in the place. And she was so

good, so so good that people outside started praising her, started saying like,

hey, you know, why don't you come out and be a professional

singer since you're so good and so talented, And you know, she decided

to consider that and and people start praising her, actually consider that, you

know, joined different talent competitions and stuff like that. And what happened was

she got so caught up with that because we know, right in church anyone

of the people who is worship leading in the worship ministry. We do not

They did not sing or they didn't play an instrument to get eccolades from men.

Right, a worship leader today, band, he did not leaders at

a time worship. So that oh I said, amazing voice, are amazing

worship leader. Uh. They led us in our time worship so that we

can worship God. And they just see themselves as their instruments. So none

of them, you know, definitely, none of them would require like,

well, you know, all of us come out in a good job band.

Uh. You know, he didn't, you know, go out key

and whatever not. They did not sick for that. So this lady she

got distracted. She thought like, okay, you know I can say somewhere

in church, but in church praised me. Man. Pastor didn't say anything.

But people outside, you know, they started, you know, whenever

I'm done, they gave me standing ovation for us here if we stand,

also we stand and we praised God. Right, we gave ovation to God,

not to the team. So what happened was then she started her eyes

got distracted. She started getting disappointed, like, man, the church don't

even appreciate me, you know outside, you know, the world cheers for

me. So she got discourage and then and just it spiraled now and then

she decided to leave, leave church, leave her faith. And what happened

was she started singing in pubs all right, studying her career, and then

concerts, taking on concerts, and she became really, really, really famous.

And then what comes to that, you know, relationships, Right suddenly

you know, you're in your eyes on the world. Every single man out

there desired her, and she got the relationship three marriages to be exactly so

married that I was married divorce and by the time she was in her third

relationship, she got you know, really hooked on drugs, became a drunkard

uh as well. And you know, sometimes when we decide to you know,

in Malaysia, like Malaysia in hockeyen, we say gagao those of you

who know how you know, uh, pretend to be clever clever all right,

direct translation, you know, and sometimes you feel like, okay,

you know, I'm cleverer, I know how to do this, I know

what I need I'm doing. We then forget the pirst poses that God has

created us. We forget to serve that purpose, we forget to serve that

calling, and we start serving ourselves, and we start serving the need.

You know, other people's expectations towards us, right, and you know,

right, a lot of our celebrities, right, a lot of times they

cave in because of expectations. And sometimes not celebrities us as well. Uh,

sometimes we cave in, you know, we feel like, okay,

I can't do this anymore because of other people's expectations. But today when we

serve our calling, uh, the only person that we are pleasing is God

and God's expectations. So us right is really different off the world. Okay,

I'm gonna turn us to look chapter two, verse forty one to forty

nine, and like always as well, I'm going to get some volunteers to

read. Okay, sorry, not forty one to forty nine, but forty

one to fifty. Look chapter two, verse forty one to fifty. We

can start from the last row. Those of you are there, so each

of you can take probably two versus each yeah, probably second because our hosts

they are serving, yeah, the second last Rose Luke, Chapter two forty

one to forty nine. Every eh, forty one to fifty, sorry,

every year Jesus's parents went to Jerusalem for the Passover festival when Jesus was twelve

years old. They attended the festival as usual. After the celebration was over,

they started home to Nazareth, but Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His

parents didn't miss him at first because they assumed he was among the other travelers.

But when he didn't show up that evening, they started looking for him

among their relatives and friends. Yeah, can pass it down. There is

forty five. So when they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem

seeking him now. So it was that after three days they found him in

the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them

and asking them questions, and all to them and asking them questions. Oh,

she and all who heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

So when they saw him, they were amazed, and his mother said to

him, son, why have you done this to us? Look, your

father and I have sought you anxiously. That's forty nine. Why were you

searching for me? He asked? Didn't you know that I had to be

in my father's house. But they did not understand what to them all right,

course, thank you so much for read so you can see here we're

talking about Jesus, right, and it's part of time. Right. How

old was he twelve years old? Wow? At twelve years all right,

Jesus clearly knew his calling already. He knew what he needed to do.

You know, some of us, I want to say something. Actually,

all of us here are way older than tough, but some of us are

still struggling with our calling. Right. It is good for us to know

our call because when we know our call, that's where confidence and authorready comes

from as well. And hence because of that, we were able to stand

steady, strong and not being distracted and not cave in. You know,

I talk about pressure, right, not caven even under good pressure. Okay,

Jesus he was pressured, right? And why do I say that?

You know? Because his mom what his mom? It's like, why do

you do this to us? You know? Any parent here? I don't

know how the parents actually left him behind, but I am sure it took

a long time for them to search for him and to travel back to Jerusalem,

right to look for him. So any mom, right, I think

any Asian moms you'll be gone already you will be whooped. Uh uh,

And the mom's like, why do you do this to us? We have

been searching for you. When we do not know our calling, even with

good pressure around us, we will cave in as well. You know.

Pasa used to you know, have this saying. You know, it says

that you know if you do not leave by prior priority, you will leave

by pressure. So church today, what is your priority? I hope that

ovis our priority. Is God's calling for us doesn't mean that all of it

does. Some people feel like, okay, you know God's calling my life

is you know, I need to be in full time. It is not

okay, I'm not asking all of us here to start working. If you

are, you know, let too. It is really good. But being

caught by God, you can be at where you're at, but fully functioning

in what God has specifically given you. Okay, I'm going to go into

that a little bit more later, and I'm going to turn us first to

the next scripture Luke chapter nineteen verse five to ten. The mic can pass

it to the third last row Liuk chapter nineteen, verse five to ten.

You can also read two verses each. Yeah you can finish it. Tensa,

Yeah, you can finish it. For the Son of Man has come

to seek and to save that which was lost. All right, thank you

for reading. So if you're looking looking here, if you look at this

right, the first part you know, when we cover in Luke chapter two

is the beginning life of Jesus, and he knew his calling. And Luke

chapter nineteen is actually halfway middle of his ministry, in middle of his life,

and he still remember his calling. Right, He says, today's salvation

has come to this house because he is also a son of Abraham. For

the Son of Man has come to sick and save the witch was lost.

You know, when we know our calling and we survey it, right,

people get blessed. People are blessed, and they get set free as well.

And by the middle of Jesus is h read right. You know a

lot of people cannot stop him. Majority of people cannot stop once we are

very certain, once we are founded and very grounded, right, people cannot

actually stop us from living or calling. And and you know for myself as

well, uh, you know, I knew since young that I was called

to work in a full time capacity. That's one and and and there were

prophecies as well. Uh that was released. I've forgotten about it until I

started working full time. There are prophecies as well that I will be serving

the young people, the youth in particular, and you know, along the

way, definitely, I'm like, yeah, you know when I'm going to

be, you know, working full time and a lot of times, you

know, different ones who putting me my spiritual leaders at that part time like,

no, finish your degree first, go study first, and then ask

God. So immediately when I came out right graduated, I was already in

next church, and I you know, everything that God has called extous to

do right really resonates with me. Okay, how we are actually relevant to

the community? What is relevant as well? We are strong? You know,

we can get stronger, but we were strong in witnessing or so,

and you know that was what, you know, was really my heartbit.

So I'm like, okay, I'm gonna start working full time. Guess what

my starting pay at a part time was. I started with one three hundred

and and a lot of times right furtherus for a fresh grat with my paper

qualfifications easily wheread start for still six or two eight, two thousand and six

or two thousand and eight. And my parents they will believers, They're not

they were, they are still believer, us still living out stalling and fire

for him. And you're like, are you really sure? You know,

we send you to university, We paid for your expense. I don't know.

Probably they spent almost one hundred kundred, okay, just for my studies

and coming out as some prepers coming out full time in one thousand and three,

what are you doing? But I really knew that God wanted me to

do it. It wasn't easy because along the way I've been working for sixteen

years now. I think along the way, my peers who are my age,

they're earning almost double, about seventy eighty percent more who I'm earning now.

Definitely, along the way, you know, I was tempted as well,

like, okay, probably I should just stop. And you know,

the glass is greener on the other side, right, the pasture is greener

than the other side. And but a lot of instances when I decided to

give up, either the glasses green on the other side or discouragement or like

we got I was working full time with one thousand and three I was already

serving in Elai as a petrol to and fro to and fro and a lot

of times in the line, the ministry is with students, and you know,

sometimes you have made out of students. Why while you know as well,

sometimes I feel really bad, like, hey, let's meet up and

then you pay for your meala that's me. So I make it a point

most of the time to actually pay for meals also, and and and and

with that one thousand and three, it's definitely very difficult to survive. And

I had to also ask my parents for help. Uh so, and part

of the time is very humbling because I got I'm leaving my calling for you,

but I still need to ask my parents for help. I should be

independent, ready God, Why so there were a lot of questions, But

midway through there were different shaking God had to do, like Jesus as sorry

middle and his ministry. God had to shake me to reaffirm that I'm walking

the right direction. I'm walking in my calling and and and and I I've

decided right at this part of the time where I am, I've decided to

stop comparing because if I continue comparing, right, it's going to be very

difficult some of us. You know, God has caught us. Uh,

it's like you're not right. Your leaders here in some money. So none

of them actually do work locally here in so many studying working, yeah,

doing PhD. But majority they travel here from ministry. But they know God

has called them to be here as well. They paid the price, you

know, to come all the way here because they believe in to see this

ground on one for God, to see some money change for God's glory as

well. So they're doing their part and their role. So that's why,

you know, it's very it's unheard off different leaders that I've met, Christian

leaders that I've met, they were like, what you have church plans over

and most of the leaders are not local, But then they're almost like local

as well because they spent a lot of time in that location. A lot

of your leaders spent a lot of time here also probably one person a few

of you also got but your house here, but you're actually not really working

here also, yeah, so going that extrama and because you know they are

very certain, So how certain of are you guys of your call today?

Because they are certain a lot of people, a lot of students who are

graduated right the previous batch, you know, they were really blessed by the

ministry and and yeah, because of the sewing or the leaders here, a

lot of people were blessed. Okay, So we look at Jesus' beginning stage,

middle stage, and you're gonna look at the end of his life as

well, from John chapter thirteen, verse one to five. And you know,

he knew that he's going to be ridiculed, persecuted and people actually a

lot of people think that he's mad, okay, because he's he claimed a

lot of things that was blasphemy as well, and and and he had created

a lot of enemies, but he was still very sure and he said,

you know, uh, I come from God and I am going to him

and and and what he did after that, you know, he actually rose

right, uh, let aside his garments, took a tower God himself,

and he started washing his disciples feet. You know, you and I here

won't be able to serve others until we really know who we are. That

probably that is why you know a lot of people in church refused to take

the tower the basin to wash people's feet, you know, figuratively, Uh,

if you're going to put it in modern times, uh, something slightly

easier in our context today, people you know, refuse to start serving in

church, to serve myself in church, right, you're not doing it until

steven, you know, you're not doing and the Savannah, but you're doing

it and to God and serving each other, doing unto others. Right.

So so a lot of people in church refuse to take the towel, uh

because they're not too sure even about the identity, not having a lot in

securities preparate in life. You know, people are I'm too ready to give

unto another. So you think about corporate world, you know, people climbing

on the corporate leader not easy because a lot of people will start stepping on

each other's back. They're back by like crazy. Just to get up.

People will grapple for identity, grapple for success, uh, grapple to be

in position uh. And you know, to keep fighting. That's a lot

of fighting, a lot of strength required for fame as well, because they

actually don't really know who they are as a person. And sometimes that can

actually sit into the church. And so when we are secure, we do

not have any problems with whatever that is going on around us, and and

we need to definitely be secure in who we are, who God has created

us to be, to be able to give of ourself to others, to

lay down our life for other people as well. At TUGH and hopefully that's

what happened. But if at twelve am, I believe if anyone leaders gets

a call from you here, you know your leaders here, Steve and talk

to you. I'm going through some trouble now. I'm sure you don't mind

getting up, I think, yeah, I'm sure he doesn't mind. Just

knowing him, I know he wouldn't mind taking the call and you know,

being that listening. Yeah, he can give. I mean, I know

Stephen for a while and I've seen how he has given off his life to

other people. But don't take that for count. I don't say, like

Steve and Stive a wake up, let's go for mama. Don't lie.

Okay, but I know when there's an emergency, when you need someone to

be with you, your leaders here will be with you as well because they

know that they are called to serve this church. Yeah okay, so how

do we then know our calling? Okay? But before I go into that,

why is it important to know our calling? It's really easy so that

we can fulfill it. You know, there there are different tests for you

to actually know you're calling all right to understand, and the very easy one

would be the five four ministry test. You can go look online or you

can ask the leaders as well. I think I have a diagram for it.

It's a show of a hand. And you know, some will have

the gifting of a apostle, a profit evangelist, a pastor or a teacher.

Okay, and you walk along, I say, it doesn't mean okay,

if you see any of this word her. It does not just apply

in church because for example, you know apostle, the road of the apostle

is to build in roads, break grounds. And these people, right,

they have a gifting to be entrepreneurs, actually very very clear gifting of that.

They do things that is against norm society norms as well, and they

are like trailblazers. Okay, they said a benchmark for people to follow after.

So like Pasta cannot for example, you know, he has a very

strong apostoly calling. So that is why you know, actually you do a

lot of things that is out and now mes so you know, growing small

to grow big, you know, a lot of people thinking like you know,

church, you need to have one thousand people in a place. But

for us, know, we need to have one thousand just in one thousand

places. And for example that is that you all profits. It does not

just apply you. When you have a perfectic gifting, you know, you're

able to discern from God and be able to release the word to let people

know or what's going to happen in the days to come, and that this

gifting is really good in marketplace to forewarn people as all right, to tell

your boss do not get into this deal because a prophet will have a really

strong sense of discernment. Also, you know, and the evangelist, the

pastor. Actually not in Malaysia, but a lot of big corporations, right

they have uh past they they call it a pastoral role. A lot of

factories if I'm not wrong. Last time Intel and Pinang I used to hire

a pastor. So it's not like a buster buster but someone to care for

the needs of the employees. Uh, it's like a chaplain role in a

way as well. And then you know teachers, teachers are there, you

know, gift of teaching you can go anywhere as well, So and and

we have a gift, very gifted teacher here also teachers a manta. All

right. So where we know our calling? Why is it important so that

we can actually fulfill it? Right? So how do we then know our

calling? Now, I'm going to go into that and I'm going to close

after that. I have eight points for this. How do I know my

calling? First? Very easy? Is from your birth? Okay, your

birth itself will confirm your calling. What do I mean, my dad o

us here? We are bound to be either a man or a woman,

all right, no matter what the society tells us these days. By birth,

our sex can either be a male or a female, okay, whatever

gender thing that you know the world is trying to do to define now,

But in God's eyes, it's either just a male or a female. Okay,

I know as well. I know as I share this. Also a

lot of activists outside may made stoness, but calling the word of God.

There's either God created men and woman, nothing more or nothing less than that.

Okay. Uh And and but you can see here right the simplest things,

very straightforward already. But you know the world will still mess it up.

And with every confusion the world is trying to give to the church right

through the mankind itself. The further away we will be put frond calling.

So we are called to be a man or a woman. Uh, not

by what's that called? What's the thing that he she she the pronounce?

Not by the pronounce. Okay, God calls us to be that. So

when God, you know, by birth, you're called to be that.

Men, naturally, your physics itself, you know, you're built to be

way stronger by than ladies. Right, But ladies, we have our strength

as well because we have the strength the bad children. Okay, man,

if you imagine the pain that the ladies had to go through the bad I

think they have done experiments on men on child, on labor itself. You

know it's not easy. Okay, Men as well. Naturally, you know

somehow you're created to have natural faith, your hair without any implants or extra

homoso injected naturally, So you're called to do that. And and ladies you

are called to do also different things right in our role. Second one,

our experiences in life will contribute to our calling. Also our upbringing, uh

can contribute to that extra So buzsa kind of you know shad about why he

started Linetes. Those of you who don't know what linettes is, you can

ask your leaders here. Bassa started Linettes because of his experience in life.

His he lost his best friend, those of you who were at Revel the

money right about his sister Lynette lost her to suicide really closer and of his

and he did you know, he did say, you know, God,

let me not see another young life being rocked in the same manner. So

hence that's why you know Buster canne his calling very clear until this day,

is to reach the young people. And you can see extra this well.

A lot of things we are on the cutting age. Even when we reach

the young generation as well. It's on a it's a I use it loosely

like it's on a cutting edge method. Okay the word method is is I

loosely use it. But you know, God inspired a lot of things,

like Revel itself used to reach the young heard of as well. But we

do that so do not recheck the experiences in life, in your life in

a past, although how that it can actually be, but it can be

turned around to fulfill a calling that God has given. Okay, sometimes I

God, why you know we can cry all about it, like why,

but instead of asking why, we can actually got what can I do for

you? I've lost my system, but what can I do about it so

that another life will not be lost? Okay? Third one, how to

know your calling is your role? Okay, your position very clear. Some

of you are doctors here, some of your managers or your engineers. Not

myself, you know, I'm yeah, in my workplace, I have a

different few different roles, but it's still very you've related. Okay, So

in your role as well, that is your calling. Why I say that

because some of us right can also be a doctor. But you struggle to

wake out in the morning, like hah, there go hospital again. But

if you wake up right really looking forward, yeah, I'm gonna, you

know, manage this machine. You know, I'm looking forward to consult and

troubleshoo every single problem h that a robot is giving me. You know,

then you know that you're living or calling as all. Okay, And and

and when you go to bed at night you feel fulfilled, although you have

like one thousand troubles with the horribord design on the machine, but you know,

like I am fulfilled uh today, And and you know you don't go

to bit like struggling, like I want to leave my job. Uh.

That is one of the clear signs that you know you should be uh in

in that role in the company for a period of time. Okay. Fourth

gift things and talents a gift meaning you know, whatever you do, you

don't need a lot of extra effort. You know you're calling to for example,

you know, to be a singer. You know you can actually sing

effortlessly, and then you know you can come on a crowd as well.

Uh. That is you know you're calling a lady all right, and if

you have it, you know, use it, you know, in a

parable the talent from Matthew twenty five. If you have that talent, do

not bury it because it's gonna bless manimal lives. Right. You know,

I can't really sing well, but I always know that, you know,

just choose singing. People listening to the song, they get healed. Also

right in the world, but in the church because there is also a spiritual

connection with God as well, because we ask God's in the usher people into

God's presence as we worship. Right it is okay, that's a teaching another

day, but we are walking into the inner courts into the Holy of Police.

Okay, faith one is your passion that's quite closely linked to your role.

What gets you up in the morning, What are you passionate about?

Why are you passionate about it? As well? So something that can this

passion itself is strong enough to drive fuel. You don't mind waking up five

am for it? Uh and and and so for example, let me just

give you an example. I love food, but uh, I think it's

a night we love our food or generally a Malaysian thing because we only eat

one meal a day, right, we only we eat one meal a day

with short bricks in between kah and and over lunch we can already be talking

like, hey, what do we eat for dinner? But you know you

haven't ever finished your lunch Malaysians, Okay, that's our gift. So I

so I'm passionate about food, but I love what my love language is extra

service. And I love feeding people. I love just seeing people fulfilled and

and and and you know, going away happy timing. So a few times

Pasta has called me to help cook for office, you know, just cook

up a lunch. I don't mind waking up at four five am to just

to prepared off because work starts at nine, right, prepare for like twenty

thirty people to maccan. So but on any other days, right, if

you're asking a wake up at f I am like why? Because I'm not

a morning person. Okay. Growing up, I went to school for eleven

years. It's a morning session school. Some Malaysia we have two sessions mornings

by five am. Also have to wake up. But I always dragged my

leg to school. But I realized, you know, because I'm passionate to

feed people, to fatten them up, So I don't mind waking up early.

I don't I sleep not having enough sleep as well, it gets me

going. So so what are you passionate about today? And I hope and

a lot of times like the passion that God has given to us, right,

it will cause us to be a blessing to other people. Are yeah?

So fine? All right, find that and don't leave it. Six

your surroundings. Your surroundings will determined or shap uh your you to fulfill your

calling as well. Okay, Basta Bill Wilson. Some of you may know,

some of you may not share this. Uh here he's been to extrach

once before you can go look him up. He was an often parents just

dummy. And the site in the streets of New York. So New York,

although is a really huge city. Uh what do you call it?

Apple? A big apple? But right, they have ghettos they have for

lost streetless people as a streetless homeless people, streetless people, homeless people.

Okay, So Bassa Bill Wilson as a child he was dad, but a

church found him and every and and he was dumb on Christmas if so every

Christmas Eve at his age, you will still go to that corner of the

street to sit and remember. Remember where he came from. So from then

till now, he's really old. When he came to Malaysia, so because

of what he does, very high ris he always gets shot on. Okay,

his face got reconstructed a lot of times already hurricane on Malaysia or wherever

he traveled, he rest bullet vast on. So he came and apprecious like

you know, look at my bulet vest Really old men already can be a

great grandfather to all of you. Here. He still goes down to the

street, reaches the children, still drives the bus to pick up all the

homeless kids for Sunday School. He has the largest children church in the world

and at least right for example, in Philippines, a Lot abandoned Children has

about twenty thousand Sunday school weekly children coming from Sunday School. And recently I've

been following his update he's down in Gaza because it's like I have a ministry

that his missionaries were killed also and he's like, I cannot trust the news.

Okay, this is what he instagram and then he decided to go down

to Gaza, high risk, super super high risk. But why did you

do that for him? Right when he share with us in Malaysia, he

said, that's not going to be a retirement for me. Some some pasts

feel like, Okay, as I grow older, I should go out from

children ministry to youth ministry, then to adult ministry to old people's ministry.

He's like, no, I'm gotta stay here because whenever I hear a child

crying, I know that's by calling A lot of times. He really challenged

when he shared it. He challenged's like, you know a lot of times

he has to rescue children out of dangerous situation. All them no documents,

right, so he finds a way to pay for the document. He's like,

this is going to challenge your theology. But he say, who you

rather let a child die or fake his passport so he can actually fly out

to us m B his foster family. So I got to live that with

you. But when he shad, I'm like God. Sometimes for us it's

very black and white, right, But in the ministry that he does,

you know, it's beyond that. So when he looks hears a child cry,

you know that he's called. That is his calling. So what is

yours? Okay? Supernatural counter seventh the second last point. You know,

action can already come up smelling nice supernatural clouter. So sometimes sometimes God will

sent angels as well. With my stuff. He knows I can spell it

supernatural and counter supernatural scent. God sometimes can send angels. He did right

to marry she was called to bear the son of man. All right.

Angels can come to our room still and tell shaking no, you're called to

be a dancer. Okay. So sometimes in supernatural encounters, do not discount

that prophecies release about your calling. Do not discount that, okay, But

do not just wait for angelic visits do not wait for prophecies to be released,

and they're like, oh, someone prophesies. Okay, then this is

this because prophecies are only to be confirmed three times, right, So going

out about that more. Okay. The last point is the word of God.

You can, I say, if all fails, the word of God

should also be at the start. But sometimes if all of this does not

happen, you know, lift up the Bible and read it. Because the

Bible itself, well, let us know who our calling is, what our

calling is, right, and and and and The Bible also, you know,

confirms the calling of husbands, for example, husband to love your wives

and wives to submit to husband. A lot of times people forget you know,

wives and a lot of husbands use like wife you need to submit to

be because the Bible say it. But the Bible did give a prerequisite husband,

love your wife, right, the wife can submit right anyways, It's

not my role of position to say that, but I'm saying, you know,

the Bible has truth. So even in the role of a husband and

a wife, God does give a lot of specific children. Honor your parents,

not just obey, but honor. What does that mean? Ask your

leaders okay, but then it does also say, you know, parents,

do not push your children until they break as well. Okay, it does

also talk about stuff you know, those of us who are employees, to

honor your bosses. So I'm going to close with this, why the series

of calling you know a buster is actually doing a series on it so you

can actually go listen to it more on our Spotify and the different podcast platforms

that we have because I started with this. Also because life can get busy,

or we can be overwhelmed like oh yo, coming and I've not done

anything yet. We can lose our waste sometimes or most times, and so

we can lose our sides. But or we can also forget temptations to come.

Like I mentioned, you know, a lot of times in the middle,

I wanted to just give up working full time because it's not easy living

with little. At the point of time, I thought it was little,

but it was a lot more rewarding to see lives transform and save by God.

So you know, what is the today? What is your mission?

What is your purpose? Are we able to appear before got before got one

day? And confidently account by God, you have given me two talents.

I did not just bury it. I did not just send it for recycling.

I did not throw it away. But I've multiplied it. If God,

if you appear before God, you know. But I give the illustration

if we have a book written about us, our biography or autobiography autobiography,

yeah, written about us, right, how would the book look like?

What is the content of the book. Would it be just a five page

or a one page book or a book that has infinity pages of how we

have lived out our calling and how we have selfed it as all living it

up, it's also serving it. So I really hope you know, everyone

of us here when we appear before God or when we leave behind a legacy,

when we leave earth and all we have is this book about us,

right, another person will be inspired to live out the life that we have
