  1. You're listening to a message to go from X church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your tea. Turn with me to X chapter three. Okay,

  3. X chapter three. I'm gonna read from verse one to verse ten,

  4. and then I'm gonna skip ahead to X chapter four. Okay, X chapter

  5. three. From verse one, now it says, now Peter and John,

  6. okay, the apostle. Peter and John went up together to the temple at

  7. the hour of prayer the ninth hour, and a certain man, laying from

  8. his mother's womb was carried, whom they lay daily at the gate of the

  9. temple, which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the

  10. temple, who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, ask

  11. for alms, and fixing his eyes on him with John, Peter said,

  12. look at us. So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something

  13. from them. Then Peter said, silver and God I do not have,

  14. but what I have I give you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth

  15. Nazareth, rise up and walk. Okay. Then in verse seven he says,

  16. and he took him by the right hand and lifted him up and immediately

  17. his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he leaping up and stood and

  18. walked and entered the temple with them, walking, leaping and praising God.

  19. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. Then they knew that

  20. it was he who sat begging alms at the beautiful gate of the temple.

  21. And they were all filled in wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

  22. Now a bit of context. Um. So at this time, the

  23. Christian faith and the Christian movement had just barely begun. Okay, and Jesus

  24. before this has just he was crucified. And after three days he was raised

  25. from the dead, and he appeared in the midst of the disciples. Okay,

  26. and just before his ascension, what did he tell his disciples to do?

  27. Did he tell them? Okay, straight away, you see me rising

  28. from the dead, ready, isn't it? Go and preach? He asked

  29. them to do that. M And by the way, when I preach,

  30. I make it interactive. One. I do really expect a quick answer,

  31. one I do. Look, I do want to know. Okay, So

  32. what did he ask him to do? Pray, what are you asking to

  33. do? He asked him? To what of all things he has n't to

  34. do? He asked him to wait. Why he ask him to wait?

  35. Where in Jerusalem? And this is actually a very important thing, okay,

  36. because when they were waiting the day when they received the promise, what they

  37. received, the promise of the Holy spirits? The name. They waited because

  38. Jesus told him that it's a promise about to come. Okay, there's a

  39. promise about to come. And when they receive it, that day it was

  40. a day of Pentecosts. What is the day of Pentecosts? Yes, we

  41. remember nowadays when we think about Pentecosts, we think about the day the Church

  42. of X received the Holy Spirit. But before there was the day of Pentecost

  43. in the Old Testament. No, many of us know, isn't it.

  44. Did you know that that the Jewish people that celebrate seven festivals over the years,

  45. okay, and the day of Pentecost is actually numbered fifty five zero fifty

  46. after the day the Passover. The Passover is when they sacrifice the lamb,

  47. and fifty days or that they will celebrate Pentecosts. That's why do you cut

  48. the name penty penta five Pentacosts, fifty days after that, they will celebrate

  49. that on the Passover. Who died Jesus died fifty days after that. What

  50. happened, Holy Spirit given? Okay, So there is a fulfillment of the

  51. Penticosts in the Old Testament, and Jesus comes to fulfill the festivals of the

  52. Jewish in the spiritual way, in the greater way, in the form of

  53. him being the sacrifice and him giving uh giving. To ask the Holy Spirit

  54. you get me right to the day of Pentecosts as well. It's very very

  55. powerful. You see. At the same time when God has given Penticost,

  56. God has given Pentecost to Israel. Right the first time that the israel had

  57. actually celebrated Pentecost. Do you know what happened to them? God asked them

  58. what Moses was going up to the mountain to receive the Ten Commandments. The

  59. people saw the mountain was full of thunder and lightning. They did not go

  60. up. They say, okay, you go, you go, We will

  61. stay at the bottom. Okay. Also said, okay, you're scared,

  62. don't worry. God will not consume you, and you stay down there.

  63. Then I'm going to bring the law and I'm going to come down. The

  64. bringing of the law to the people is like marriage. You know. It's

  65. like basically saying that, you know, if you know, if I'm the

  66. groom and there's a bride and they come up to the altar, when we

  67. bring the law is basically saying that we're going to register as husbands and wives.

  68. When God brings down the law to his people, he is bringing a

  69. contract contract saying that if you follow my commandments, I will be your God

  70. and you will be my people. Make sense this what God Saysn't it?

  71. I will be your God and you will be my people. Or this why

  72. I give you the ten commandments? Okay, when you sign any contract,

  73. it's the same as well, you are so and so, this is so

  74. and so, and you sign it and you give out the terms of fulfillment,

  75. then your benefits it received. Then after that determination, claus, isn't

  76. it if you dis aorbey my commandments, you will get there as well.

  77. So God was preparing Solf like a spiritual marriage between him and the nation of

  78. Israel on the day of Pentecosino. So Pentos was like a day of marriage,

  79. you know. Okay. So Moses was coming down and the people downstairs

  80. on the day of Pentecos. What did they do? They were saying,

  81. Hey, Moses, you took a very long time. Okay, while we

  82. wait for you, let's let's think about what it's in our mind. It's

  83. like, you know, you're waiting for the brider to come in, to

  84. walk down the hour, and suddenly you took out your handphones, texting Hey.

  85. You start texting who your ex boyfriend? Your ex girlfriend? Hey?

  86. You know while I'm waiting. By the way, you remember that last time

  87. we watched this movie have Fun and you started having chat and more and more

  88. and more, you just realize you're marrying this girl because you escape a toxic

  89. relationship from this ex you know. But now even though it was toxic,

  90. you still remember the good times that you had and you want to go back

  91. to it. And by the time your bride to be was coming up the

  92. hour, you are no where to be found. And that is exactly what

  93. the Israelits do to God. Moses was coming down with the ten Commandments,

  94. and we came down there, where's the bride? Where's the groom? These

  95. people already built a golden calf, and they basically they're seen against God.

  96. No you get. I mean, it was so sinful on the day of

  97. Pentecos, and on that day, how many people that I think it's three

  98. thousand and six thousand died. Now you move forward to the New Testament,

  99. Jesus comes, Okay, like he's a type of Moses, but he's greater

  100. than Moses. He that does not give the law, but Jesus fulfills the

  101. law. You see, it's like, you know, instead of just giving

  102. you the law, I'm going to give you the law. I'm gonna give

  103. you a condition. By the way, I'm gonna let you know I paid

  104. for it. It's like signing giving you a loan agreement air by the way

  105. I mentioned to apply a loan for your house. And by the same time,

  106. I want to let you know not all the loans being paid, how

  107. many you're like that. However, you're like that, get a loan for

  108. a house like getting a loan hard by getting along I paid for Ready,

  109. you know, Jesus is even greater. So what is the only thing we

  110. need to do. You only need to trust in my name. Don't sign

  111. the document with your name, signed with the Jesus name. That's all you

  112. need to do. So Jesus was a type of Moses, but he was

  113. greater than Moses. And he came. He bring it a law, not

  114. just the law, but he brought a higher law. Okay, And he

  115. brought a high law to them. And he brought the people say that,

  116. hey, don't do the same mistake as the Israelites in the last time.

  117. Okay, don't do the same instead the last time. Okay. But if

  118. you will wait, then the promise will come. So the disciples and of

  119. God then they became like a new Israel. So instead of seeing, they

  120. waited, and when they waited, the Holy Spirit came. I think it

  121. was how many people are saving in pentacoss with three thousand six thousand? Can't

  122. remember already, I keep forgetting that. I think it's three thousand people got

  123. safe on the same time. So in the Old Testament, three thousand died.

  124. In the New Testament, three thousand God saved and added to the House

  125. of the Lord as well. Now, so after the church experienced the pentecos

  126. and the movement, right, so it was quite amazing. Now, John

  127. and the apostles, they had not started their ministry in public yet, you

  128. know, saying, not really in public yet they gave a sermon, but

  129. not really got out to public in the temple. So for the first time,

  130. John and Peter they went to the temple and they started and then they

  131. walked there was there was about to go past this gate called beautiful, that

  132. many gates, and the gates are beautiful. Was the place where the people

  133. who are sick, lame, and uncleaned they could not get past. And

  134. it's a beautiful gate made of wood and all all the trappings and it's beautiful.

  135. But this guy could only sit at the front. And it's until that

  136. he was he saw James and Peter passing by, and he extended his hand

  137. out, but he never looked at them. It's just when it's like us,

  138. you know, sometimes we can be in the house of God. We

  139. can extend our Hannah, asking, pleading, worship, being calling for God,

  140. but our eyes are not fixed on him. You know. Then when

  141. Peter and John said look at us, thinking, oh, look at us.

  142. So there's a difference between asking and looking at God. You know,

  143. you get what I'm saying here. So because when he said look at us,

  144. the man started to look at him because he started to expect something.

  145. He really thought John and Peter is going to give him something. See there's

  146. a difference in it. You can ask from God, but you don't expect

  147. anything. But it is when you start to look at God. Oh,

  148. are you going to give me something or not? So why how do we

  149. you know what I'm saying. Now we can come toward the Lord, but

  150. our hearts we don't really believe and expect anything from God. So when you

  151. come to church today, he said, God, I need a breakthrough.

  152. It's a spiritual I really on God. Or it's just standing your hand.

  153. Yeah, I mean right like this guy like this? You know why?

  154. So we are so used to doing the form, doing the religious, but

  155. not really having an personal expectation of God anymore. So what did Peter and

  156. John do? Then? He said to them, Okay, he said to

  157. the lame person one of the most important verse and declaration ever. Okay he

  158. said that. He said this to him, silver and gold I do not

  159. have. But what I have I give to you. You sick for me

  160. to give you an alms? I do not have them. But you are

  161. right to look at me. You are right to have an expectation because I

  162. do have something to give to you, not what you expect, but something

  163. greater, okay. And I'm going to give you the key of how you're

  164. going to receive this. And this is the key in the name of Jesus

  165. Christ. Okay, I'm gonna give you the key. And then the gift.

  166. The key is in the name of Jesus Christ of right Nataah. The

  167. gift is rise up and walk. Okay, Like I said, there must

  168. be a key, and then there's a gift. Okay. The key is

  169. Jesus Christ, the name of Jesus Christ of Nataa. And then the gift

  170. was to rise up and walk. Then when he left him up, it

  171. says that what the layman started came up what he rose up and he started

  172. leaping, standing and walking. What would you do if you receive the miracle

  173. of God, you go back to your house. You celebrate, isn't it?

  174. But how did he celebrate it? What was the one thing that he

  175. desired more than anything else? After you receive your breakthrough to go back to

  176. your house or to enter past the gate that you always stand outside from the

  177. beautiful gate you get mean, right, there was always the barrier, you

  178. know, all his life. He's been like this for I don't know.

  179. I think it's about forty years sitting outside there. He could never enter in.

  180. Everybody could walk, everybody who gave him money could walk past. But

  181. he was never good enough. But that day when he got healed, the

  182. first thing that he did was to enter into the presence of God. This

  183. is actually sort of like a what I call it an example or analogy for

  184. all of us. You know, all of us are lame, you know,

  185. and all of us are outside the beautiful gate. You get what I'm

  186. saying. We cannot go in on our own one, you know. But

  187. the day when Jesus came and saved us, right, he made us walk

  188. again. And not only that the plan that he had for us, but

  189. not just to save us. His plan for us to enter into God's presence

  190. was not just casually. He desired for us to enter into the presence of

  191. God walking, leaping, and jumping. Then when you start to wresture God

  192. has done an amazing thing for me, you will entered into the gates of

  193. God and into His court with praise and with praise and thanks giving. We

  194. are expected to enter into God's presence and pass the beautiful gates with praise and

  195. thanksgiving, nothing less, you know why, because we had been healed.

  196. No matter what your circumstances is. You can lose your car key, I've

  197. been there before. You can have a very tough week, no matter what

  198. it is. When you come through that door, God expects one thing,

  199. Come with praise and thanksgiving because it's not about you, because not what the

  200. world has done against you, not what your horrir week is horrible, but

  201. because God has done a great and mighty working you. And so because of

  202. that, I start to realize that all of us are just believer us.

  203. We need to come into God's houses with reverence, one know, with reverence

  204. and thanksgiving. I love the fact we went to this youth camera when they

  205. when whether you can just recently happen now you know how they started the sessions.

  206. Wish maybe we should start doing it in church. You know they started

  207. having boxes and all the youth people are true their handphone there. Hey,

  208. the kids are leading us. You know we should do that and on all

  209. the hamphones and one box there and see what the adults will do. Some

  210. of us will like step start forming in our mouth withdrawal symptom coming out.

  211. Yeah me right, because it is with reverence, you know, and not

  212. only reverence you're expected to give with praise and thanksgiving. You know. It

  213. is the only acceptable way to enter into His courts. You know, only

  214. thing you know? Okay, but I can teach a lot more like I

  215. know about about this. But it's really the reverence we also have caused God

  216. has done a great and mighty work for us. Okay, Now let's move

  217. on to the second part here, turn with me to X chapter four.

  218. Okay, gonna skip ahead to accept the form. Of course, because of

  219. what they did and the miracle that was done. Of course, people came

  220. to them and asked them. A lot of people believe. But then things

  221. took a turn. For every miracle that is performed, that is from heaven

  222. and that is from God. There are always two sides to it, you

  223. know, remember when we did the home notes, right, when we talk

  224. about every miracle that is performing, it always sets to bless those who believe,

  225. but it divides those who don't believe. You know, I see what

  226. I'm saying. If you read the New Testament over and over again, whether

  227. Jesus uh give miracle, you know, turn water into wine, whether he

  228. fed the five thousand, whether he was healing the blind and the lame.

  229. You know it always will be one group of people who will choose not to

  230. believe, you know what, because it separates them and to those these people,

  231. no matter what miracle is performed in front of them, they will refuse

  232. to believe, refuel no matter what. One again, it's like a blind

  233. person. You're going out to the sun, to the daylight and say,

  234. there is no sun. There is no sun. Tell me, show me

  235. where it's light everywhere, but I can't see. Nobody can tell you because

  236. you are blind. You can mean right, you're blind, but the sun

  237. is everywhere. But you are blind. You're saying, show me the sun

  238. doesn't need to bear witness to itself and all the sun is the sun.

  239. The light is the light. You cant I mean? Right? Then we

  240. will talk about no, I am the light of the world and the next

  241. series okay, there will be in the next zero and talk about what does

  242. it mean when Jesus say I am the light of the world. He said,

  243. you give witness to yourself. Your witness is not worthy. Does the

  244. sunny to witness for itself? You need a more to tell that the sun

  245. is bright. No, if you hear eyes, you can see. It's

  246. so clear because the sun gives light. The light shines everything there itself.

  247. The work, what it exposes, brings witness. Ready, you get me

  248. in right. It doesn't need anything more. You are the one who's blind.

  249. You can't see the evidence. You can't see the works of it.

  250. Okay, Okay, that's another part. Okay. So Peter and John Okay,

  251. as they were witnessing, they got into trouble. Okay. It says

  252. here in chapter four, verse one, as they spoke to the people,

  253. the priests, the captain, and of the temple, and the seduces came

  254. upon them, being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preach in one

  255. in Jesus. Okay, they preach in Jesus. Okay, the resurrection from

  256. the dead. Okay, Why there was so much so irritated because the seduces.

  257. Okay, give you an idea. The biggest council that is ruling over

  258. Jerusalem and Israel is called the Sanhedrin, and there are seventy one people.

  259. There seventy one people, and they are probably it's like our parliament. Okay.

  260. They passed the law. Okay, they can even sentence people to die

  261. or anything. It's very powerful, but they rarely do that one. But

  262. they do law and anything that has in regards whether a person is blaspheming and

  263. dealing about the law, the temper, the name of God, or the

  264. prophets, any of these things. All these matters will be escalated up to

  265. them. They don't deal with everything, but especially with the things they deal

  266. with God, the theology. They will handle this matter and it's very very

  267. powerful. And there were a few groups there. There were the Seduces,

  268. the Pharisees, the high priests, the elders as well. The Seduces were

  269. the other oldest group. Okay, they don't. They are the more elite,

  270. you know, we call it bangsawan. Okay, that's better postcode,

  271. you know, better, higher ranking and stuff like that. Uh. And

  272. they are they they The unique thing about them is that they only read and

  273. study only believe in the Torah book, the Five Books of Moses, any

  274. book like Daniel, Jeremiah, Isaiah. They don't study it. So because

  275. they stick strictly to the Book of Moses. They don't believe in the resurrection.

  276. Okay, they don't believe in the resurrection they say, no, there's

  277. no resurrection. There's no life beyond that, okay. And so when Jesus,

  278. when Jesus comes and he teach us about resurrection, he offended them.

  279. Now and now the disciples of Jesus are not only talking about that, but

  280. they are preaching about it. They get really offended because it affects them their

  281. status. And they're standing in the in the in the crowd as well,

  282. okay. And he says that they in verse three, they laid their hands

  283. on them, put them into custody until the next day, for it was

  284. already evening. And in verse four, however, many of those who heard

  285. the word believe, and the number of the men came to be about five

  286. thousand. Wow, one miracle, five thousand people. Okay, it's amazing,

  287. you know, okay now. And in verse five it says it addressing

  288. to the Sanhedrin, and it came to pass on the next day that they

  289. are rulers, elders, and scribes as well Anes the highest high priests,

  290. and care first John and Alexander. Annas and Calaphers are the high priests.

  291. Normally there's only one high priest, but Annas and Caiaphers are in there because

  292. they are related. One is the father in law and one is the son

  293. in law. Okay, when Jesus was on trial, both of them were

  294. there, but one of them was the I can't remember. I think,

  295. I think, and was the father in law if I'm not mistaken, Okay,

  296. okay. But they are very evil. And why I say they are

  297. very evil, it's because you must understand. Rome was pseudo ruling, no

  298. de facto ruling Jerusalem. But they know that Jerusalem was unique compared to other

  299. places because they have a theocrocy. It means they are ruled by faith,

  300. okay, and so they although Rome is ruling, saw how they controlled Jerusalem

  301. and Israel was to control the high priests. So instead of high priests being

  302. appointed by God, Rome appointed the high priests. And how they appointed that

  303. high priests was to make that high priest a job that can be bid on.

  304. So the money that means you want to apply for that priest, you

  305. bid land. So the consensus was about to two million or money. This

  306. time you should able to pay their down payment money. You become the high

  307. priest, and then you ask are you sure or not? Then the next

  308. question is do you know that in the temple that Jesus was taking in emergencies

  309. of our time. He took the meto what they call it, like a

  310. rotan okay, and I mean can't can't find the words. He chased out

  311. the money changes and the animal sellers. Right, you know why because the

  312. animal system and the current currency exchange was the way the high priests and the

  313. rest of them make bake their money. Ah, because there are two currency

  314. you must understand. There is the Roman coin and there is the Jewish coin.

  315. Okay, they say you tray everything in your life, you can use

  316. the Roman coin, but when you come into the temple you give an offering,

  317. you cannot give a Roman coin because got Caesar's face there. You must

  318. use a Jewish coin that does not have a Roman face. Get only the

  319. plan or whatever it is as well. So when they change, it's not

  320. one for one. You know, they make a profit from there a smarter

  321. entrepreneur. Man. It's true. That's why you That is why you like

  322. what can you never ask? How can their money changes? You know,

  323. that's the reason why they have money changes. You know what I mean?

  324. Right, they are saying, we are religious, we don't want Caesar's face,

  325. they care, why do you make imagine of it? And then when

  326. they bring their animals, they will say that this animal is not koshire or

  327. acceptable okay, And they themselves when they sell the animals, they will brand

  328. the animals with the labor. So when they bring to the priests, are

  329. the priests don't check it on. They just say, oh, there's a

  330. brand, okay in that in their heart, they're not all this is from

  331. my supply chain, from my list of vendors. You know my list of

  332. vendors already care if you're from a proved vendor, doughty, non tender one,

  333. you know it's true. That's how they did it. You see now

  334. this and we also see it happening in nations, isn't it. It's the

  335. same thing people are doing, but they're doing in the house of God.

  336. Care of very colrap. Anyway, these are things that you thought like share

  337. with you guys here now it's says in verse seven. So all these people,

  338. the people that persecuted and crucified Jesus, were there, Okay, John

  339. and Peter the last time when we heard about them, we were there hiding,

  340. isn't it. Peter denied Jesus three times. Okay, and after Jesus

  341. dited, why were there were they're out there preaching Jesus. No, they

  342. were hiding in their house. They were so scared that they boughted the room

  343. that Jesus couldn't go in here to appear in the middle of them. That's

  344. how scared. They were. Not so scared. It was scared. But

  345. now because of the Holy Spirit, they became so bold enough. So bold

  346. they were, they are they are? They are all care to stand in

  347. front the same council that killed their master. Okay, was such a quick

  348. turn around and on. And this is the thing in verse seven he said,

  349. when he has set them in their midst, the Sanhedrim asked them the

  350. most important question we can have in the book of Acts, and what is

  351. that question? See, they didn't even ask whether the miracle happened. You

  352. know, they didn't say, oh, is he healed? His late grew

  353. back? They didn't deny it and not They didn't even deny it. They

  354. know they acknowledge it. The miracle happened. The only thing, the thing

  355. that matters to them most is by what by what power? That's the only

  356. thing they care about by what power or by what name? Have you done

  357. this? Seeing by what power and by what name? That's the only thing

  358. that matters. Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them,

  359. rulers of the people and elders of Israel, if we this day are

  360. judged for a good deed, Oh see, Peter, very smart and all

  361. this is a court room cases. There's an accusation and all, okay against

  362. them. Okay, you say that Jesus is alive and everything else, But

  363. you know and then you are healing this about what name? So that we

  364. need to know that you are not of you know, you're not not a

  365. devil worshipper, you are not a corn man. You know. I need

  366. to know what is the name that you're using. Then Peter says, you

  367. don't even deny the miracle. So you are acknowledging that it is a good

  368. deed, isn't it. It's a good thing, isn't it. If it's

  369. a good thing, then your next question is by what author, Teamer,

  370. this good deed is done? Then I want to let you know that by

  371. the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Okay, he said that, I

  372. want to let you know this is a good day and it's attached to the

  373. name of Jesus Christ. But he didn't stop there. Then I asked you

  374. the question, how did Jesus die? How did Jesus die? He was

  375. crucified. Let's be more specific. What is crucifixion. It is a punishment,

  376. It's a punishment of the cruelest form. He is saying that now Jesus

  377. was punished by you, and it is this guy's name that this miracle was

  378. performed. So he was giving a defense and he is also accusing them at

  379. the same time you are coming to trial me. I want to let you

  380. know right now I put forth the name of Jesus. This is the one

  381. who performed the miracle. And this name and this witness, this authority I

  382. proved for, is also an accusation against you. You get mean, right?

  383. He turned a defense into a prosecution. You know you got mean right?

  384. He turned a defense into a Prosecutional is the judge, It is actually

  385. the prosecutor. Right now, these people are do I'm prosecuted. You made

  386. an error in judgment, and not only that, you murdered the person.

  387. And this murdered person is the one that he okay, they say that whom

  388. you crucify, whom God raised from the dead by him, This man stands

  389. here before you. Hold. This is the stone which was rejected by you

  390. builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. Nor is there salvation in any

  391. other For there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we

  392. must, then, very much we must be saved. Now, how many

  393. of you apply loans? One? Okay, you buy a car, that's

  394. something you know that if you your credit is not good, you say,

  395. have to get a loans in it. Let's say, for example, you

  396. really applying for a huge amount. You want to buy a house of ten

  397. million dollars, but your salary is maybe, I don't know, five hundred.

  398. Do you think the band will give you a loan? You can't his

  399. name, but maybe if you have you know a dot org a very rich

  400. guy who is networth is one billion dollars and you put him as a guarantee,

  401. do you think that you will get the loan? Very likely? Listen

  402. it? Why because the name has power? True enough? Now another I

  403. take you another stage. But what if this guy in this that that you

  404. trusted on okay to loan for your house, for your kind, everything,

  405. your scholarship, everything that you depend on. Suddenly he go bankrupt. Not

  406. only bankrupt, he got caught in the graft, yah, money laundering whatever

  407. that. Then he cannot be found. Maybe escape to China or somewhere.

  408. I don't know. Okay, what do you think the bank will start doing.

  409. The bank will come to you, but not to say hi. You

  410. know, do you need need you unbower Not no, you're not coming to

  411. give you a new umbowering what they're asking you need this? Your guarantee is

  412. no longer effective. You know, there's no power in the name anymore.

  413. That person's reputation is gone. But in Jesus' case, it's unique, and

  414. all you think about it, Jesus is not he only died you or he

  415. was prosecuted and claimed to be guilty with everyone, and he died. And

  416. then and then someone you say that Jesus, You say that Jesus will rise

  417. again in three days. But we did not see him die. We did

  418. not see him raise from the death. Of course, Jesus appear to other

  419. people. But if his name is really if Jesus is really a false prophet,

  420. he is a charlatan and he has no wealth and power attached to him.

  421. Why is it that his name is still working from the grave? You

  422. get know what I'm saying here? His name is still working from the grave.

  423. You kill the man, you've do what to smear his name. But

  424. yet when someone who is uneducated us the name to heal. One guy in

  425. the temple, he got healed, what would the public think? This guy

  426. is in the grape, his name is still working. Why would I want

  427. to trust you? It's like saying, if you're in the school, okay,

  428. and you have a daughter, and you know, let's say Nathaniel runs

  429. out out of no way and saves your daughter. Oh, and then you

  430. are so forever grateful for him. Then the principal comes out, Principal Jessica

  431. comes out there, Oh thank god, you know your daughter is safe?

  432. You know? Okay, by the way, who saved your daughter? You

  433. know? Oh yeah, Nathaniel, the student whom you put into detention and

  434. say that he's a bad boy. Me, as a father who just got

  435. my daughter saved by heim, who am I inclined to believe? Of course

  436. him? Isn't it because his work proves himself, isn't it witnesses himself.

  437. I'm now more inclined to think you probably have put him. You're telling me

  438. that he's a bad student. I mean, I'm less inclined to believe that

  439. right now, isn't it. I'm all inclined to. I think you have

  440. poor judgment and on not maybe you've got something personal against this guy and all

  441. you know. That's what I'm saying here, And this is what is happening

  442. with the crowd. You kill this man and you let everyone to literally crucify

  443. him, even the Romans. You said you did so much, all of

  444. you. But yet after he died, his name is still working working.

  445. That is why we underestimate the power of the name of Jesus. We understand

  446. it and see the power that is still working from the grave. Of course,

  447. it's not in the grave. We know it's a lie because it is

  448. transcended. It has overpowered the grave. We do not need to see Jesus

  449. personally appearing before because we know the evidence of his great power that his life

  450. is everywhere. You know what I mean, right, it's everywhere. Everybody

  451. say I need to see Jesus right before my eyes. I need it.

  452. These people will never believe even if the sun is shining right before their eyes,

  453. because they are blind, and they will say there is no sun.

  454. You know what I'm saying here, they're blind. You bring into the sahara,

  455. they said, they will say it's dark, but it's hard somehow,

  456. you know what I'm saying here, Then we cannot see it. But the

  457. name of Jesus is still at work. So when they asked the question by

  458. one ning, they didn't realize that it's going to be turned around against them

  459. and judge them for it. Amazing, isn't it? So when you think

  460. about it, who allowed this? God is always able to turn something meant

  461. for evil and turn it four good. He turned what was even meant for

  462. Joseph into something that was good for Joseph. He turning something that was meant

  463. to be evil and bad for Jesus and turning good for him. In the

  464. same way as well, the disciples now become the recipients of the glory of

  465. Jesus. You all the glory of Jesus, the power of Jesus. The

  466. disciples inherited it. You know what Jesus has done. I can now stand

  467. before you literally not because of what Jesus done, we can stand before all

  468. our prosecutors. It is a display and the power of the Holy Spirit.

  469. They cannot do way one. That's why they had to wait for the Holy

  470. Spirit at the right time, at the right place. When they give the

  471. witness, they will be speechless. In fact, they will be the one

  472. who will be judged. Amend. So far everybody understands of us. It's

  473. a courtroom drama. Okay, Now what happens after that? Now the tables

  474. had been turned against them, he says, and verse thirteen. Now when

  475. they saw that the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were uneducated

  476. and untrained men, they marveled, and and they realize, they're like,

  477. who are these people? Not because they study under any Jewish teacher or under

  478. Gameilia or anyone. They realize one thing, they had been with Jesus.

  479. They had been with Jesus. And seeing the men who had been healed standing

  480. with them, they could say nothing against it. Amazing, isn't it.

  481. There is the Word and there is the works. That's why you see them

  482. at the end of the day. How I see it that when the end

  483. comes out, there will be many people who will sound very intelligent, sound

  484. very convincing. AI will come. There will be sound so politic correct.

  485. They will say that Christianity is the most intolerant religion of all. You say

  486. you love, but you don't accept all people. You say that you are

  487. kind, You say that you believe in God, but your belief is archaic.

  488. Your commandments are all that. It doesn't belong to any new age.

  489. Anything. You can tell them all until it can convince that theologically, until

  490. the cows come home. But God has never come forward with just the word.

  491. It's always the word and the works. That is how the Apostles were

  492. able to withstand everyone. It is that's why we call it apostolic working on.

  493. No one could do it. It's like a it's like a it's like

  494. a steamroller that we're just like steaming through everything. You want to come to

  495. me, I go works. You want to come to me. I got

  496. word, it go words both at the same time. Nobody could stop them,

  497. even the counsel it can teach. But I go works, I go

  498. works, I got works. People are getting safe. The church must have

  499. both the word and the works. You got me right, must have both

  500. the word and the works, and not just any word it has the Moses

  501. word, it must have the Elijah word. You see the two witnesses was

  502. Moses and Elijah. Moses came to give the word of the law, but

  503. Elijah came to give the word of the prophet, the prophetic word it was.

  504. It was the commandment, law and the prophetic word. People can come

  505. and give you a lot of philosophy you want, but how many people online

  506. will tell you a prophetic word. Because when you give a prophetic word,

  507. if it doesn't come true, you die. You know, a very strong

  508. word, but it's true, you're getting stolen wine. Or if you're a

  509. prophetic word, it doesn't come to pass, you get stolen one and all.

  510. They are so called nowadays we call it false prophets, you know,

  511. false prophets of Bailna who try to prophesie the market, prophesied what is happening

  512. in the parties. Their opinions are called profit false, profess not. And

  513. maybe they get one right, but they get all the others wrong. But

  514. they have no consequences to them. But when God comes with Moses and Elijah,

  515. you shall fulfill the commandment. And God, when he gives the profet

  516. prophetic word, he will fulfill it. So Jesus comes to fulfill both the

  517. commandment law from Moses, and he fulfills that Elijah word, the prophetic word.

  518. That's why Jesus is greater than Moses than Elijah. Ah understanda, Jesus

  519. is greater than Moses in Elijah. So when when Peter tried to build a

  520. type of necker for them, remembered the transfiguration, Oh Moses, yeay,

  521. Elijah, what's up? Let me build a tenth for you guys. Then

  522. at that moment, the Father in heaven came down. This is my son,

  523. who I am well pleased. Peter did not know what he was doing.

  524. He thought that Jesus is the same equivalent as Moses and Elijah. No,

  525. that is when Peter finally realized who Jesus was Christ Messiah. Anyway,

  526. there was another thing again. Anyway, It says that in verse thirteen,

  527. Okay, they perceived they were uneducated and trained men. As I draw to

  528. a close, he says that, and they realized that being with Jesus,

  529. yeah sorry, and seeing the man here standing before them, they could say

  530. nothing against it. But when they had commanded them to go outside of the

  531. council their comfort among themselves, saying, what shall we do to these men?

  532. For indeed, a notable miracle has been done through them, is evident

  533. to all who well in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. But so

  534. that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them.

  535. Okay, when the power of the Holy Spirit comes upon God's people, and

  536. they are preaching the world, and the work is coming upon upon them,

  537. what is the only thing the enemy can do? What is the one thing

  538. they want to stop you from doing. They just want to stop you from

  539. coming to church, stop you from coming from stop you from having Bible study,

  540. stop you from watching worship songs. The one thing they don't want you

  541. to do is to speak in the name of Jesus. You can do everything

  542. else. You can do your kumbaya, you can go for your youth cam

  543. and do whatever you want. You can multiply, do whatever you want.

  544. But the one thing you don't do. Don't speak in the name of Jesus.

  545. I don't want to hear that the name of Jesus works. You see

  546. what I'm saying. But you must understand now. When you see this,

  547. right, you must understand what the enemy is truly threatened by. You know,

  548. and what the enemy is truly threatened by is our greatest weapon that we

  549. can have. You go out when you go to your homes and you go

  550. to people who are terminially sick, people who are under bondage, people who

  551. have broken families. You don't have the training of three years in Bible schools

  552. and everything in all, but the one thing that you have that you inherited

  553. in all not because you earn, you inherited because you play the faith in

  554. Jesus Christ. The one thing you inherited is the name of Jesus. That's

  555. how you pray. When you lay your hands to pray for someone, and

  556. see, I have silver and gold, I have none. I don't have

  557. years on the experience I don't have. But what I do have, and

  558. I know I inherited from my heavenly Father. I speak to you in the

  559. name of Jesus, be healed. That is your greatest weapon, and that

  560. is what we are caught to with us. It's not some hocus pocus,

  561. you know. It's the only thing that works two thousand years ago, still

  562. works now, still works you. That's why you must believe people. Do

  563. you believe when you prayer and after you say grace to God in the name

  564. of Jesus Armen, when you're going to prayer service in the name of Jesus

  565. Armen, when you're going to pray for your homemiesid in Jesus. Man,

  566. you think that by having longer prayer, you think that you somehow No.

  567. Your longer prayer is like writing a long contract. But who signs it?

  568. You know what I mean? Right? It is the name of Jesus.

  569. It's the name of Jesus. You can say one simple senter, be here

  570. in the name of Jesus. That's it. But when you say you fully

  571. believe it, I inherited it from my father, the power and the name

  572. of Jesus. Amen. And they will stop you from saying it. In

  573. the verse let me draw it to a closeium and verse twenty three, I'm

  574. jumping head and being let go. The disciples went on their own with their

  575. own companions and reported all the chief priests and elders had said to them.

  576. And so when they heard that, they heard the testimony what they had said

  577. to the to the to the Sanhedrin, and how speachres were there. And

  578. they can only threaten them all. The believers raised their voice to God with

  579. one accord and said, what did they say? One acord? The one

  580. thing they caught was that, Lord, you are God seasan name. When

  581. you, when you declare the name of Jesus, when his word goes with

  582. his words, the one thing you will realize the reality and the sovereignty of

  583. God rules. Heaven rules true enough, Heaven rules. No power, no

  584. authority, no nation can control, can stop the work and the power of

  585. Jesus. Lord, you are God who made heaven and the earth and the

  586. sea and all that is in them, who, by the mouth of your

  587. servant David, have said, why did the nations rage and the people plot

  588. vain things? The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers

  589. gathered together against the Lord, against his Christ, for truly, against your

  590. holy Servant Jesus, whom you anointed both herod and conscious pilot. With the

  591. gentiles and the people of Israel were gathered together to do whatever your hand and

  592. your purpose determined. They might think that they are plotting, They are gathering

  593. to show their power, to show their mind, to scheme, to cast

  594. a web that your anointed cannot escape. They do all these things, but

  595. little do they realize that it is according to your sovereign plan. He did

  596. a planet, but he was able to turn it around. God rules and

  597. God over rules. And that's what I'm saying. God rules and God over

  598. rules. It's powerful. You know. God rules and God over rules.

  599. What happens to Malaysia, we don't know. Maybe times will be difficult,

  600. maybe our currency dropped like crazy, Maybe they are going to be really took

  601. place for us. We don't know. But God rules and God over rules.

  602. God rules and God over rules. Okay, then he says yeah,

  603. Verse twenty nine. So what did they ask? Say? Lord? We

  604. see your work now? Our hearts has a desire. You see it.

  605. When you see the glory of God, you become hungry one an it's the

  606. truth and all. When you see the glory, you don't just stand there.

  607. No, something stirs within you because your soul is starting to respond to

  608. a revelation. Yeah, I mean right, You don't see a miracle and

  609. you just start there. Well, no, why no, you see a

  610. miracle? What happens in your life? You start to become fearful. You

  611. know why? Because you realize God is real, God is watching. God

  612. means business. You know. That's why sometimes you go people have a car

  613. accident now and they're barely escaped by the by the nail. They're like,

  614. Wow, God is real, and they start to take their life seriously because

  615. God is real. It says that they respond. They say that now look

  616. on their threats and grant to your servants that with all boldness, they may

  617. speak your word when you see the glory of God, when you see God

  618. working, and that people and the enemies are shut out their mouths, the

  619. lions. The mouths of the lions are being shut up. Literally are in

  620. the days of Daniel the mouths of lions were really shut up. Okay,

  621. what do the disciples ask? Grant your servants boldness when we hear these type

  622. of things, are what do you pray for? Okay, God, can

  623. you send the pastor can you send the deacons? Can you send more people

  624. like John and Peter. You know what some people will say, qualify this

  625. is for these people. But if you read the Book of Axa, you

  626. know who's the next group of people who's standing in the crowd. Then in

  627. front of the council, it was Stephen and all Stephen is not an apostle

  628. and all stephener literally I can saya he was just appointed as a deacon in

  629. all. Okay, you could say like maybe in weeks and months, it's

  630. like you just join Unia and then you're given a third year exam. You

  631. go straight to the lions. Then he didn't say, oh, maybe you

  632. go through a leadership pathway first. I'm not saying that. No, we's

  633. a privilege, but in this case are he went straight out to meet the

  634. people, or Stephen and went straight to meet the people who crucified their master.

  635. Know if you like the title service, Yeah, I just joined a

  636. church. What do you do? Or let's see the parliament. He went

  637. straight to them to give the testimony and he paid for it with his life.

  638. Sounds exciting, and now we actually have leadership pathway to serve maybe next

  639. week can or not? Can or not? God is weaving and hungry to

  640. use everyone people. It's not not about whether you want to serve it or

  641. not. I'm just telling you God is oneting to use every one of us.

  642. You're not saying what I'm saying here. Don't despise what you have.

  643. What you have to serve. God wants to hungry use you in the next

  644. chapter, you really I don't have time actially by PJ was preaching about Stephen.

  645. It's amazing this guy didn't go to babble study straight away before the counsel.

  646. But why why God sends people like that? Why God send people who

  647. are not so prepared, not even the apostle or not to demonstrate the power

  648. of the Holy Spirit. It is always done by the power. Like I

  649. said, go back to the first question. Why did God ask him to

  650. wait, to wait for the promise of the Holy Spirit? And the reason

  651. why? A lot of times when we are scared to commit to do anything

  652. for God, to go for missions or anything, because you know why.

  653. The truth is, we do our our own strength. Correct me if I'm

  654. wrong. We do our own strength. We plan with our resources, our

  655. family, anything. And I say, because I'm a victim as well,

  656. I'm guilty. Yeah, I do a lot of things out my own strength.

  657. That's the truth. We do things of our own strength. But if

  658. we really want to see Heaven rule, we really want to see the world

  659. and the words coming out, we must understand it is only by the power

  660. of the Holy Spirit. And the power of the Holy Spirit only comes through

  661. what obedience. Obedience pure an other adult rate adulterate my mouth is like pure

  662. obedience. You want to see God? Will your life start with obedience?

  663. Start obeying the simple thing just waiting in the upper room, you know,

  664. just waiting. It all a simple thing like that. You want the more

  665. of the Holy Spirit is no more hues, no more more be more keyboard

  666. and all. More of the Holy Spirit doesn't begin with that. You are

  667. more of the Holy Spirit. Obedience. You know what I'm saying. It's

  668. always been the case. You want more of the Host. Obedience, obey

  669. the things that's been given to you. You obey, the Holy Spirit will

  670. come. Everybody is so quiet, true or not? You have more Holy

  671. Spirit in your life, in your family, in your children. Are you

  672. obedience or are you doing things and thinking things and plantings out of your own

  673. strength? Out of obedience only? It's not a secret formula, however,

  674. it's not some pastors hand take putting on you. Then you got Holy Spirit

  675. only. You know, you just obey what the Lord said, and then

  676. the Holy Spirit will come. Because God say, that's a surrendered son and

  677. daughter of God. You obey, Holy Spirit comes. You know what I'm

  678. saying. You know no secret sauce. You know no no secret sauce.

  679. Okay, stretch out your hand to heal that so that science and wonders may

  680. be done through the name of your Holy server Jesus Christ. So my prayer

  681. as I close here, that one thing I pray for you and me and

  682. all of us is that we will be bold. Amen. Wow, how

  683. are we safe? What name? Are we saved? By the name of

  689. message. For more information on our church, please visit as church dot org.
