You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. I'm gonna start off with a story. Okay,
-
this is a story of a son and his father's business. You guys
-
like stories. I love stories. I love telling stories. Maybe sometimes a
-
bit too much. Very chrong hey, chung hay, they will say,
-
very chrong hair. I'll talk about one story and then I will have different
-
action, and then I'll forget what's the main point of the story, and
-
then what was I talking about. Oh yeah, that's right. So that's
-
usually me. I love telling stories. But this is a story I want
-
to share with you guys. This is a story about a father and son.
-
So this father and son, they love each other very much, and
-
they have accustom that they do every morning before the sun goes to school.
-
The father will bring the son out for breakfast for nasillama. All right.
-
They will eat every morning and they will talk about anything and everything. Can
-
you just imagine for the young families here, young parents here, imagine,
-
I think you will have those conversations with your kids. You are right,
-
it's very precious. So they do it every morning without fail. So before
-
the dad goes to work, the dad will send the son to school.
-
Before that, they will go to have Nasi la mar together. That's their
-
custom every day and they both love it. Both father and son look forward
-
to it every day, okay. And then of course after that, the
-
son loved the dead so much that he said that I want to be part
-
of your business. Now that dad is part of the real estate industry,
-
doing very well, earning a lot of money. But the dead appreciates and
-
loves the Sun so much that he will make time every morning. It's something
-
that he will do without fail. And then almost like a reciprocation, that
-
son love the dead so much and say, wow, I want to work
-
in my dad's company to support him. That's my dream, my dream,
-
all right. So he went to study, went overseas to study, got
-
the NBA, and came back and started working from the bottom up. There
-
are no special favors, so work from the bottom up. And he eventually
-
became one of the directors of that company. They resumed also their breakfast tradition,
-
but something was different this time around. Now the Sun is a director
-
right or the company. He looks into a lot of different things and he's
-
always making it sort of like making his dad accountable to the business, because
-
the sounds like I want my dad's business to do well. I want to
-
make him proud. Right, So every morning at breakfast, the sun will
-
like that you haven't teld me what you want to do with this yet,
-
that there's a decision you have to make this week. Why is there no
-
update that we need an increase in budget in this department. If not,
-
our sales will be affected. Every morning it was business that we need to
-
do something now, we need to do this, we need to do that.
-
Well, it went on for a little while a year, and then
-
one day the dad, so the sign was oblivious that the dead was set
-
and frustrated. Why why is the dad set and frustrated one day the dead
-
while the son is talking about business and that the son actually got frustrated as
-
well with the father. Why are you not deciding on this, on this,
-
on this, you know we have to decide now. This is the
-
point of the breakfast, right, we have a meeting and talk about this.
-
Then the dad got so frustrated that you just said, son stopped And
-
then I was like, what, son, I just want to spend time
-
with you, And the son said that your business is important, right,
-
this is your what you have built for the for the for your whole life.
-
And the dad said, yes, my business is important, but it
-
is my business. Don't you think I can take care of it. I've
-
given you the privilege to join me in this company, but it is still
-
my business. But you know what's more important than my business? You And
-
the dad says, son, I miss you every day. The son thought
-
what he wanted to do, what would make the dead happy word was to
-
talk about the dead's business. But all that that really wanted was to spend
-
time with his son, just like old times, talking about anything and everything
-
under the sky. This story is fictional. This story was not written by
-
anyone. It's not even written by me. This is a story that God
-
used to speak to me in November because I was dead. Son. All
-
right, we're gonna look into that a little bit more. It's a very
-
personal story and I'm going to share my little journey with you all. And
-
uh yeah, let's just start with a a prayer. Yes, pray,
-
thank you Lord, Hallilah. Father, Lord, you are a good father.
-
You are a good God. And what a privilege it is for us
-
to have this relationship with you, that in every season, in every mining
-
and every second, we can reach out to you and shout above Father,
-
we can reach out to you enjoy and in sorrow, in happy time,
-
so you can say, about Father, do you see this? Do you
-
see what I just did? Are you proud of me? Above? Father?
-
Thank you for all of this that you've given me. And even in
-
terms of sorrow and shout out above Father, help me hurts, Lord,
-
hurts about Father, help me? And you are always there. So Lord,
-
I even as you've given me the word this morning, I hide behind
-
the cross and I just say, Lord, allow me to just be your
-
mouth. Peace. Let it not be my words the Holy Spirit. Let
-
it be your words and your words alone, the minister were minister to your
-
children. This morning we pray all this in Jesus name. Amen. Amen,
-
I'm gonna jum around the slides a bit. I hope you're okay.
-
The title for today's sermon. If you're taking down notes, I hope you
-
do. The title is this. It's called the Better Part. Why is
-
it called the better Part? It's taken from scripture. Do flip your Bible
-
with me to Luke Chapter ten, verse thirty eight to forty two. Very
-
famous scripture. All of us know this, some of us joke about it.
-
Oh, stop being a mother, you know we would use that.
-
But let's look at the scripture together. All right. Once you're at the
-
scripture, can you say, amen? Amen, they gonna get all of
-
you should because he's on the screen. Okay, all right, luke.
-
Chapter ten, verse thirty eight goes like this. Now it happened as they
-
went that he entered he as in Jesus entered a certain village, and a
-
certain woman named Mother welcomed him into her house thirty nine. And she had
-
a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard his word
-
next forty But Mother was distracted with much serving, and she approached him and
-
said, Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to
-
serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me verse forty one. And Jesus
-
answered and said to her mother, Mother, you are worried and troubled about
-
many things forty two. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen
-
that better or good part. We shall not be taken away from her.
-
This is one of the versions in other versions of scripture, you will say,
-
you will see that the good part, the word good is replaced with
-
better. So Mary has chosen the better part. So yes, today's title
-
is the better part. And it's a very simple sermon. I've only got
-
two points for you, but I really really sense that this is the word
-
that God wants to give us, especially as we are pursuing twenty twenty four
-
in full speed, with different dreams, different desires, different plans and goals.
-
Now, the first point I want to share with you is this pursuing
-
God's presence is more important than pursuing his calling. What but we've been learning
-
about pursuing God's calling, we should be doing that, right? Are we
-
gonna be just lazy and just soaking God's presence and do nothing. We're gonna
-
talk a little bit more about that, all right, So if you look
-
at the scripture for a little bit, Martha was doing a great thing.
-
We can agree, right, you know what she was doing in this jases
-
She was serving Jesus. It's a great thing, right, Serving Jesus is
-
an amazing thing. And we're gonna look a little bit into the Greek original
-
Greek word that was used for serving there cornea, let me get that right.
-
Yeah, it is the word, all right, there cornea is the
-
word that was used in the original text, and it means serving and ministering.
-
That's the translation, all right, the same word. You can find
-
when you do cross referencing or you do interlinear you'll find out that these words.
-
This word is used also in other parts of the Bible to describe preaching
-
the gospel, planting of churches, and edifying of believers. You see that
-
throughout the New Testament, used many times in the letters in the Book of
-
Romance, and this same word is used for Martha. Think about it.
-
Martha was ministering to Jesus. Great thing, right, It's an amazing,
-
amazing thing. She wasn't just serving dinner. She was ministering to Jesus,
-
because if it was just food, it will probably be another word. There's
-
certain translations that says in English that says that she was preparing dinner. I
-
don't think that fully describes the word. Dear connya. Oh here you know
-
the depth of that word, right, she was ministering to the Lord.
-
Yet in verse forty. Can we jump to verse forty real quick? But
-
Martha was distracted with much diar conea. Have you ever thought that serving can
-
be a distraction? What it's a good thing, on serving the Lord,
-
ministering to the Lord. But here the word clearly says that she was distracted
-
with much serving. And if I may add on, serving can be a
-
distraction, especially when it pulls us away from God's presence. Okay, just
-
to continue sharing about my story, how God dropped that story and that,
-
yeah, that whole story of the father and said into my heart was because
-
at that time I was really fully invested in serving. This was this was
-
last year, all right, and I felt for a good few months that
-
my ministry and my anointing has splitled. I remember I was worship leading.
-
I was like, God, I don't feel you. God, why are
-
you're not doing something? You know, when I meet out with people,
-
got where's that word that can encourage the person? Where is it? Where
-
has it all gone? And every day my quiet time breakfast with my father
-
was like, God, give me that word. God, give me that
-
annoying thing to be able to do what I need to do. Help me
-
to lead my homes better, Help me with this, Help me with that,
-
Lord, Help me, help me, help me. And when I
-
read the scripture, you know what was the first thing that comes to mind
-
when I read it, Well, this is a word for that brother.
-
This can be a word for that sister. Ah, this encouragement will help
-
that person. For months I was operating like that, and I keep asking
-
God, where's that annoying thing? Why don't I feel the move of the
-
Holy Spirit when I serve? And like the story. One day, I
-
think this was end of October or early in November, God had to stop
-
me during my quiet time, said, son, why all you talk about
-
is ministry? What about us? What about pursuing me? You're pursuing your
-
calling. It's fantastic you're doing about my business. That's what God says,
-
fantastic, But what about us? So God stopped me, and I'm going
-
to share the breakthrough in a bit. So what I'm trying to say is
-
that if you're not careful, ministry can take the place of God. Ministry
-
is not God. Ministry is a response to God. It's a calling.
-
Ministry should never replace our investment in our time with Him. That happened to
-
me. My quiet time was about ministry, but it wasn't a quiet time
-
with God where I can actually enjoy his presence, recharging his presence and allow
-
him to speak to me in my spirit. Replace the word ministry with family,
-
work, dreams. As we plan twenty twenty four, Let's be careful
-
not to replace God with our New year resolutions. Let's be careful not to
-
replace God with work. God. You understand, right, I got a
-
promotion, so I got to put more time in work less time with you.
-
But do you realize how funny that sounds? Because God gave you that
-
promotion. Think about it for a minute. Has our quiet time with God
-
been replaced? Have we been doing our quiet time? If it has not
-
been replaced, you have been doing it. Has our quiet time been more
-
about ministry than our relationship with God? Because that happened to me, right
-
And in other word, and this is something that Puss kind of taught us,
-
is this God is interested in a man more than the ministry. When
-
God caused you to serve him, it's more interesting in how you grow in
-
your relationship with Him than the fruits of your ministry, because it is his
-
business, you know. In scripture, in x chapter two, you will
-
read how the church they gathered. They do a lot of things. It
-
is not the church that added the numbers. It was the Lord that added
-
to their numbers daily. It was the Lord's business. Don't want to add
-
he can do it right, but we have been given the privilege to partner
-
with it. Why so that we can also grow in our relationship with him.
-
But we many times flip it around business first, relationship second. A
-
story I had also a similar story. I just remember this last time.
-
Me and my dad we started form ministry, a sports ministry in a church
-
when I grew up in Inpenang. It was floorball. We started a floorball
-
club. A floorboy is a form of hockey. We started a club in
-
the name of ministry right to reach young people and all that, and it
-
went really well. But because we were both leading the ministry, we got
-
into a lot of arguments. I'm a very stubborn person. I got it
-
from my dad, so both of us are stuborn. So you can imagine
-
every time we need to design on things, we need to train this way,
-
we need to stop focusing on this, we need to do this and
-
then many times, and at that time, my relationship with my dad wasn't
-
the best. So a lot of arguments, a lot of arguments, and
-
one day my dad, in his frustration, just say in the peak of
-
our argument, we were in the car. He just said, son,
-
do you know one of the main reasons why I started this Foba club so
-
that I can spend time with you. I went silent. And this is
-
how God is to worse. Many times he pulls us into partnership to do
-
so many things with him, with really the objective and hope that we can
-
grow closer to him, not so much interested in the results of whatever he
-
calls us to do, because he's the one that brings results. It's not
-
us, all right, those serving is a great part of following Jesus.
-
We look at Mary and Martha again. Mary chose the better part, which
-
was sitting at Jesus' feet, in his presence, hearing his word. It's
-
very different, very and world like, because normally we would think that a
-
serving people is a way to honor the person. That's what people like,
-
right, But what God actually wants it's just us being in his presence,
-
all right. So just that I shed a little bit of my testimony of
-
how God spoke to me. So what happened was I repented. I said,
-
God, I'm so sorry. I got it all wrong. I messed
-
up. I thought it was all about ministry and business. I have allowed
-
that to clout my mind and took the place of you. Sorry, Lord,
-
please forgive me. That changed my prayers. I no longer pray as
-
much. God, give me the anoyting to do what I need to do.
-
Give me the equipping that's needed. My prayers now is God, let
-
me feel your presence. I'm gonna share a bit why that pivot, But
-
the testimony was. What happened after that was when my focus was in more
-
of God's presence than it is his anointing and equipping of me for the calling
-
He has in my life. The annoying thing came afterward, naturally, that
-
very same week when I repented and I said, God, every morning,
-
it's just your presence that's going to be my key focus in my quiet time.
-
I just want to be in your presence. Whatever you say to me,
-
even if you don't speak, Lord, I just want to be in
-
your presence. After that, everything I did the anointing just flowed without effort.
-
Do you guys see a certain principle here that God is teaching us,
-
and I hope for us this year. When we want to pursue the different
-
things that God has called us to do, always pursue His presence first.
-
That is so important when you think about family plans for your family. Oh,
-
we need to get this in place so that our children will grow up
-
all right, so that financially we will be secure in the coming months or
-
years. Never let that replace the presence of God first. We'll always have
-
to be presence of God because it will lead to my second and last point
-
of very fast to this semon. Yes, second last tie. I tell
-
you guys, it's going to be a simple, straightforward semen. The second
-
point is this, with presence comes power. When we have a person of
-
authority. Okay, thing about God for now, but think about just any
-
regular person. When we have a person of authority in our mits, when
-
we are in their presence, their power is also in the same space.
-
Let me explain that a bit. If one day so happened, the Prime
-
Minister decides to visit you in your house, He walks in and then maybe,
-
like me, I have nothing much to serve on a tree. One
-
coffee can serve the Prime Minister and we sit down. Don't you think his
-
security personnel will be around the house to make sure nothing happens, to make
-
sure nothing funny happens to us. When you see celebrities walking around, they
-
will have bodyguards. Right, nothing happens, so that nothing happens in the
-
space, Nothing dangerous happens in the space that they are in. When God
-
is in our mits, don't you think you have a legion of angels watching
-
overse When we are in God's presence, his power is present. So we
-
got to get the equation right. It's not about we do the things and
-
then things will be done. It's more about seeking the Lord's presence, and
-
he is in our mids. We are sitting at the feet of Jesus,
-
and things happen because of his presence, not because of what we can or
-
cannot do. This equation was something that God revealed to me, and we
-
have to remember that when God is with you, there is power, victory,
-
power to overcome. As scriptural, I'm not just saying this like a
-
motivational speaker, but it is scriptural. Let's look at Joshua fourteen twelve.
-
It says this, now, then give me this heal country about which the
-
Lord spoke on that day. For you heard on that day that Anachin were
-
there, not Anakin wars, fans, and the Kimo there with great fortified
-
cities. Perhaps the Lord will be with me, and I will drive them
-
out as the Lord has spoken. It's not I will drive them out as
-
the Lord has spoken. Then the Lord will be with me. It was
-
the Lord will be with me, and then I will drive them out as
-
the Lord has spoken, One Kings eleven thirty eight. Then it will be
-
that if you listen to all that I command you and walk in my ways.
-
Is God speaking, and do what is right in my sight by observing
-
my statusist, my statutes, and my commandments, as my servant David did.
-
Then I will be with you and build you an enduring house as I
-
build for David, and I will give Israel to you. You see what
-
came. First, of course, there was obedience, and then God says,
-
I will be with you, and then I will build you an enduring
-
house, and I will give Israel to you. And so let's street off.
-
And he said, certainly I will be with you, and this shall
-
be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you. When
-
you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this
-
mountain. It was first God being with them, then the bringing out of
-
the people from Egypt. Psalms nineteen one fifteen. The Psalmi says this,
-
he will call upon me. This of course God speaking, he will come
-
upon He will call upon me, and I will answer him. I will
-
be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and honor him. If
-
you read between the lines, we're basically calling upon God's presence. So everything
-
that I just showed you in scripture, and all the promises that God gave
-
it all came to pass. All those things that you read when they have
-
to go into a land, and all that, and then God provided it
-
all started with God's presence. I will be with you, for I am
-
with you. It was not you do all the things going. You know,
-
killer enemies, slaughter your enemies, and then I will come into your
-
midst. No, it is the Lord that fights our battles. When his
-
presence is with us, comes his power. That is the equation of God.
-
But the enemy constantly strives to cloudless. It's about the work work.
-
More do more. And then we get into this red rays of trying to
-
get things done, achieve things, a chieft things, achieve things with the
-
hope that you know. And then we ask God, you help me overcome.
-
But we do all the work. But God's equation is this sick my
-
presence first, and everything else. It shall be done when God's presence is
-
reveal. It is yes and amen. God's peace comes with his presence.
-
When his presence is review, there will be peace. I'm just gonna share
-
very quickly of a testimony of how I felt no peace in a season of
-
my life. So this season of my life was when I was finishing my
-
diploma and mess communication. This was twenty fourteen, and at that time I
-
was dreaming of a US education degree, worked really hard, scored really well
-
on my own ather time. So I thought, hey, you know,
-
God, you give me so much favor. You provided money for all my
-
exams, and I did so well. I can enter into so many universities
-
and many of them were in my dream list and universities I want to go
-
into. So I thought, God, thank you, thank you for for
-
your favor or allow me to do your my exams. I was even offered
-
a scholarship to one of the universities. But in the process of while I
-
was applying for so, there's a stage where you actually have to forg what
-
is it called. There's a portal where you basically have to key and everything,
-
and that portal send it sent your application out to the universities. I
-
still remember I sat down my seat ready to do that, but I would
-
I had completely no peace to do it. I couldn't even type in anything.
-
I had to walk out of that space. I have to stand up
-
from my seat and walk away. I can't really explain it. I don't
-
know how to explain. It's just I felt very uneasy when I said I
-
want type and I had to walk away. This happened for weeks and then
-
the dateline passed. I worked for two years for this US education on my
-
own at the time, and of course my parents supported. They were helping
-
me a lot. Then I prayed to God. I said, God,
-
why I thought you gave me favor? I did some way in my exams,
-
I got scholarship, offer this simple thing of application. Why couldn't I
-
do it? God said, I don't want you to go. And at
-
that time my small man would be like, tell me Earlierma, two years
-
of dreaming, I dream myself dead. You know. I dream what I
-
was going to do during summer, what I was going to do during winter.
-
I dream of all the states that I'm going to travel. I dream
-
of how my varsity life is going to be, going to go and watch
-
American football, going to watch American baseball, NFL, watch NHL hockey.
-
Everything I dreamed. I can see it happen. I'm already there. And
-
then it did not happen. I was heart broken. But then I didn't
-
know at that time that because his presence was with me, and by withdrawing
-
his piece, he was giving me sort of like a guidance to say,
-
don't do it. He actually preserved me from a lot of things that at
-
that point I didn't know. Number one, when my parents are being so
-
you apply, really, I say I didn't. Huh. They like pass
-
really, I'm like, yeah, God told me no. I thought my
-
parents would be disappointed. But my parents decide, Oh, I'm like,
-
huh, why want you side like that? Actually we don't want you to
-
go. And so I'm like, but you supported me. You were linking
-
me up with people to talk to people who went for you as education or
-
that. And then my dad said, we supported you because we saw how
-
much, we saw how much you wanted it, but actually if you were
-
to go financially, it'd be really, really tough for the family. But
-
we didn't want to to pull your dream down. We at that time we
-
thought we'll do everything we can luck to support you in this pursuit. So
-
that was on that money itself, my parents told me. But years later
-
some of you have heard my story. What happened was my dad lost his
-
job, my mom got cancer, my sister went through clinical depression. And
-
if I have went I would have still been in the States when that happened.
-
My family would be in a financial ruin. And don't talk finance.
-
Finance. God can solve no problem. Money, money can solve, but
-
the state of my mom and my sister at that time, I wouldn't have
-
been able to be dead. God preserved me. God preserved my family,
-
and with his presence, his peace became my noster. And if man,
-
I cannot imagine, and because but of course God was faithful. After that,
-
I got a full scholarship to study in some way, to study film.
-
Parents were, of course very happy financially. But I share this to
-
tell you this that this is the importance of God's presence, if God's If
-
I did not recognize God's peace and God's presence, I did not know how
-
to navigate and understand or be sensitive to God's leading, I would have went
-
to the US. I would have ignored the uneasiness. What's so hot?
-
Really got scholarship Goalah Christian University some more the offered scholarship. It was Liberty
-
University offered film programmed there. I got to know a person that is sort
-
of like the representative. You say, Hey, you know Stephen, I
-
will get you troue with your scholarship. Well, it sounds really good,
-
really good, and almost sounds like god favor everywhere. If I wasn't aware
-
of, if I wasn't sensitive of God's presence at that time and his we
-
have wend and we have my own grave, my family's grave along ASO.
-
Why I share this is I just want to emphasize the importance of God's presence
-
in our life. And sometimes a lot of things may sound good, but
-
it is not God. Pursuing calling is good, but calling is not God.
-
Controversial because we are in a society or even in a time where we
-
really put calling at a pedestal, say calling, find your calling, find
-
your calling, and to be honest, the simple callings that we already have
-
is already in scripture. Love your God with everything, with all, and
-
love your neighbor is yourself. If you don't know calling, your calling is
-
here, right, just obey God. But don't ever let calling become your
-
idol. Don't ever let your dreams become your idol. God, you put
-
me in this company, so I have to do well. I have to
-
pursue, Yes, but never at the expense of God's presence in your life,
-
because you never know what will happen tomorrow. And don't just also pursue
-
God's presence just so that your life will be better. Pursue God's presence because
-
you love him. So then it comes down to the simple question do you
-
love God? Oh? If you love God, you will want his presence.
-
If you don't want his presence, it's time to have a heart check.
-
Where is God in our lives? Where have we put God in our
-
lives? Right? Last year, for me, I'm going to be very
-
real and watch my the day laundry in front of you and say it.
-
Last year, Ministry, there are times where it took the place of God.
-
My schedule was packed with to do lists in the expense of my quiet
-
time with God. I'm going to be very honest and share. Where can
-
they live with you? It has happened last year. A pastor, Yes,
-
pastor is a human that's also human. But I also need to learn
-
to pursue God. And this is something against simple word. But God's presence
-
is so key in our lives and we need to learn how to. If
-
you're saying I want God's presence in my life, I've heard you pass the
-
saven. I know what you're saying. Yes, it's important, then you
-
need to maybe start making adjustments. You may need to make adjustments in your
-
life to allow room for God's presence. Is it sleeping a little bit earlier
-
so that you can wake up early for quiet time? Ooh no, I
-
do my quiet time at night. The quiet time at night? You are
-
distracted? How can you make adjustment? Ah, but I'm so busy and
-
have so many things to do. Well, if this is important, you
-
got to make the adjustment. But then this will affect my work. How
-
Lord, I need to o t I need to do all all this.
-
You will affect my work, how Lord? Remember just now point two,
-
with presence comes power. You got to get the equation right. When God's
-
presence is with you, it shall be done. Here will take care of
-
it all right. So I don't know what how how do you set out?
-
You know in the beginning with twenty twenty four what plans you have?
-
But I pray that your plans will involve God's presence. It will allow room
-
for God to move. I'm going to be very straight up accountable to you
-
guys. I'm going to share this this year. My goal for my own
-
faith is to seek God's presence. My priority is not building x Mandel Tama,
-
I'm sorry. My priority is not building ex campus. My priority is
-
seeking God's presence because I know when I get that right, everything else will
-
flow. It's like a circuitary, you know, the moment you you can
-
build a huge machine, but all it takes is one wire to be misplaced
-
and it won't work. We can keep trying to build it, expand it
-
and on other circuitary and on maybe secondary generator to power it. But then
-
there's a lot of it's very tiring. Right, for a simple machine to
-
work, all you need is to fix that one main circuitry, and that
-
is connection to God, and everything will work. Not to say it's gonna
-
be easy. There are days you're going to have to do maintenance on the
-
machine. But we've got to get the main point right, our relationship with
-
God. Our presence are God's presence in our life. So in twenty twenty
-
four, as we set out on goals and resolutions, let's not forsake the
-
most crucial part of our life God. As we serve and pursue the success
-
of our ministry, let's not forget the Ultimately, it is our father's business
-
and phasis. I want you guys to see this. God revealed this to
-
me. Emphasis being our father instead of business, emphasis being on the relationship,
-
not so much on the ministry. All right, as we pursue after
-
God's heart rest assured he will take care of his own business, we were
-
merely given the privilege to partner with him. Know that whatever it is that
-
you're going through, Heaven rules. That's a theme we're saying. That theme
-
extis calendar In case they're know extis calendar the start of the year is February
-
anniversary, so we are staying that theme. We're talking about having rules.
-
So let's get that right. If we recognize that Heaven rules, then we
-
have to act as such. We got first up, go with take care
-
right, go with take care of it? Maybe all right? So the
-
last question I believe if all of us here is this, will we choose
-
to make pursuing God's presence our priority? Will we choose the better part?
-
Like Mary did? Martha did an amazing thing ministering the Lord to the Lord
-
Diaconia. Wow, at the same level of blank peach, just just you
-
know. But yet Jesus said, Mary chose the better part and the beautiful
-
thing. After that, he said, he shall not be taken away from
-
her. Don't let the world drop you of this better part, because the
-
world will try it's best to distract you, to pull you away, to
-
lie to you, to confuse you. I fight that better every day,
-
and I have to realign with God and say, God, help me,
-
help me, help me to realign with your word, Realign with your equation
-
and economy, realign with how the kingdom works. God's presence is the most
-
crucial thing and I make no mistake. I'm not saying when you see God's
-
presence you go to a mountain and live on your own for the rest of
-
your life. I'm not saying that that's not how alcohol works. See God's
-
presence, and then the calling will come. The things that he asked you
-
to do, it will come, and then you know, and then you'll
-
be because you understood the importance of his presence. Then working with him will
-
be a joy. You will be a joy. God, you call me
-
to do this, call me to lead the homes, call me the plant
-
church, you call me to be the sort of light in the marketplace.
-
You can do it because of your presence. You are with me. Therefore
-
it shall be done, not I shall do it. First. Then God,
-
you will be proud of me and your presence. Normal. This is
-
the world's thinking. Be careful of that God's presence first. This probably would
-
be the the shortest summon I ever gave, I think, but it's a
-
simple word, simple truth, simple kingdom principle. Remember your about Father for
-
the parents here, you know how it feels like right. You want to
-
spend time with your children, and God wants to do that with us.
-
As well his presence. Be like Mary Martha was great, or be like
-
Mary and you can do what Martha did also right. We hope you've been
-
blessed by this message. For more information on our church, please visit as
