  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts Church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day. Today's message. I just want to share.

  3. I was just reflecting what should I share with all of you today? And

  4. I just want to share. You're about the storm, he said, Okay,

  5. the storm, and what can we learn about the storm and the winds,

  6. the raging winds in our life and how we can tackle the storms and

  7. the raging wins. And I'm like, okay, this is my night title.

  8. There's two over there you. As I share, I hope you'll be

  9. able to choose which one is the right title for today. Of course,

  10. the first one is the w w D. How many of you know?

  11. What doesn't mean? What would Jesus do? Right? How about the second

  12. one? What? What? What? What does the second one mean?

  13. What should we do? All? Right? As I'm sharing this a lot

  14. of times we as I was going through the storm, the reason storm that

  15. I had asked my asking my heart, what would Jesus do? How would

  16. Jesus all come this storm? And then I started the thing, is that

  17. the right question to ask? I think in life, in every circumstances that

  18. we are in the moment, we are faced with trouble, you look to

  19. Jesus. That's right, that's the right thing to do. But the question

  20. in my heart that I was wondering in my heart, what is that the

  21. right question to ask? And as I started pondering on the question, I

  22. started to ask, actually, what should I do in the midst of the

  23. storm. And that's when we get to this title, what should we do?

  24. If you have bibles? If you can turn with me into Mark chapter

  25. four, verse thirty five to forty one, and we are going to read

  26. scripture. Is that okay? Is that all right? Okay? Mark chapter

  27. four, verse thirty five to forty one. Mark is after the Book of

  28. Matthew. All right, okay, are you ready. I'm going to read.

  29. I'm going to read, and you just stay with me. When as

  30. I read this first all right, thirty five On the same day, when

  31. the evening had come, he said to them, let us cross over to

  32. the other side. Thirty six. Now, when they had left the multitude,

  33. it took him along in the boat as he was, and other little

  34. boats were also with him, and with great and a great windstorm arose and

  35. the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already feeling. But

  36. he was in the stern, asleep on a pillow, and they awoke him

  37. and said to him, teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?

  38. Then he arose and rebuilt the wind, and he said to the sea,

  39. peace be still, and the wind sees and there was a great calm.

  40. But he said to them, why are you so fearful? How is

  41. it that you have no faith? And they feared exceedingly and said to one

  42. another, who can this be that even the wind and the sea obey him?

  43. God bless the reading of his word. Now, Mark chapter four was

  44. also encountered in Matthew and Live, respectively. This was an account and eyewitness

  45. account. You know, Scripture is the Gospels is the eyewitness account of what

  46. Jesus is and the life of Jesus. And as Mark was accounting on this

  47. and writing this story, this is the story about Jesus calming the sea the

  48. wind, a story that the children would have heard a thousand times, you

  49. know, besides the walking on water the other storm, you know. And

  50. very interestingly in Mark it says a few important phrases. I'm going to share

  51. these phrases to you, and as we go along, I hope you will

  52. key up something in your mind. Right here we go, let us cross

  53. over to the other side. They took him along in the boat as he

  54. was These are key sentences that I hope that if you're taking notes, you

  55. can take it down with you. Okay, a great windstorm arose, waves

  56. beat into the boat, filling up. Fourth phrase, Jesus was asleep.

  57. Fifth phrase, Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing? Now?

  58. Before I go into the sharing for today, I want to give you

  59. the main point, he said. Okay, I'm going to give you the

  60. main point, and from there we're going to study the world of got together.

  61. Here's the main point that I would like you to catch today. The

  62. first slide, second slide. Can you turn to the second slide? The

  63. third slid. The main point is it is not about the storms in your

  64. life. I don't know if you're catching it, if you're hearing properly.

  65. It is not about the storms in your life. Whenever you're encountering a storm

  66. in your life, remember this phrase. It is not about the storms in

  67. your life. How Daniel, how can I go through this situation? How

  68. can I go through these circumstances? The main point isn't about the storms in

  69. your life. Let's celebrate on that. But what is it about? It

  70. is about who Jesus is. The Book of Mark chapter four ended on verse

  71. forty one, saying that, and that's the main point where we're getting it

  72. from today. Who can this be? That is the main point. Who

  73. can this be? Who is the main character in your life today? Is

  74. it you? Is it your situations? Is it your problems? Or is

  75. it your creator? Who? We have to ask the right question whenever we

  76. are faced with problems in our lives, whenever we're phrased with junctures in our

  77. life, asking the right question is very important. Asking the right question will

  78. lead us to our deliverance. Asking our wrong question will lead us to our

  79. destruction. All right, I hope that we are here today hoping to be

  80. delivered from the stranglehold that is holding you back from experiencing a breakthrough in Jesus

  81. Christ. Amen. Sometimes this book, this book called the Bible, it's

  82. a very powerful book, but only if you know who it is about.

  83. If it's just a book that you read like Harry Potter, you know some

  84. very powerful English, it's no power. Right. And this book there is

  85. a very very It's very important to know how to read scripture. This is

  86. something that I'm learning day in day out with my wife. You know,

  87. as we are reading together, we learn and we just discuss, actually what

  88. is it that we are looking for? Whenever we look to the Bible.

  89. Now, the Bible has a lot of parables, right, Jesus himself preached

  90. a lot of peris. I'm on a journey of just ear mucking each and

  91. every parable and what it's about, you know, cross referencing, and it's

  92. very powerful. And when Jesus teach in parables, he does not he only

  93. explains it to his disciples. His disciples will also go, like what you're

  94. talking about. Jesus had to explain it to his disciples. But when he

  95. was teaching in parables, there is certain meaning that it's behind the stories,

  96. right, And the Bible is like that as well, But not all the

  97. time. Sometimes, in fact, most of the times, whenever we read

  98. the Book of the World of God, we have to take it as it

  99. is. We have to take the word of God as it is. Christians

  100. believers more often not even myself. Sometimes when I am in the midst of

  101. the storm, I go to this book as if it's a manual on how

  102. to get out of the storm. And when I go to the verse and

  103. I read that verse and somehow it doesn't apply to my life, then I

  104. go like, God, God, why are you not there? This book

  105. is not a book that is men to get you out of trouble. Only

  106. this book is a book that is meant for you to draw closer to the

  107. Creator. Understand who this God is. Understand the identity of our creator,

  108. who Jesus is, and that would solve your problem. Not every single verse

  109. or every single passage in the Bible has to relate to you. So if

  110. it doesn't relate to you, if it doesn't help you in that situation,

  111. it doesn't mean that it is not helpful. Open up your hearts, friends,

  112. Learn the Word of God. Read the Word of God as it is.

  113. Be careful, friends, be very careful how we tend to interpret scripture.

  114. Sometimes you like to take one verse and one verse only, and we

  115. say, see see God, God say it, whoa the word of God

  116. that inspired infallible in the Word of God said this, Therefore it must apply

  117. in my life. Hello, did you read it in context? Did you

  118. know the situation that led to the auto writing that verse. Do you know

  119. the background behind Jeremiah twenty ninet eleven. Do you know that it is not

  120. a verse that is so uplifting and every time you use it we think,

  121. oh, well, God knows he's here to give me a future and a

  122. whope, I who? But do you know that verse is centered around an

  123. impossible situation. They just got kicked out of the house, and suddenly someone

  124. from nowhere saying telling me that I is not what I need to hear.

  125. Now. I need to get back to my house. I need to get

  126. back to the city that I lost. Stop telling me things that I don't

  127. want to hear. Yah. The Bible is full of things that we don't

  128. want to hear, but we need it in our lives. Amen. It's

  129. the focus of God helping us through our trials? Is that the focus?

  130. When we read Mark chapter four very often? Sometimes you know this is me.

  131. Okay, maybe all of you is different, but for me personally,

  132. I always have you heard this before? Jesus is with us in the storm?

  133. Yeah, Jesus is with us in the storm. Jesus is calm.

  134. Jesus is asleep, so we can be asleep too. We can sleep.

  135. The disciples didn't sleep that, so I they they were, they were,

  136. they were getting rebuilt after that. Have we heard this before? Have you

  137. heard that if Jesus is there, we should cast all our fear, all

  138. our burden on the shoulder of Jesus. Have you heard this before? Yes,

  139. I have heard it before. I appresed about it before. But something

  140. just changed in my heart as I was reading this scripture, as I was

  141. going through a storm with my dad, something changed. Why do we always

  142. look and depend and wait for Jesus to move before we take the first step.

  143. Why why do I always wait for a confirmation from the Lord before I

  144. read my bible? So Jesus is at peace, so we can be at

  145. peace. To These are all some of the common interpretations that sometimes can take

  146. away. Yes, that is true, but that is not the primary focus

  147. of this passage. It is not the primary focus sometimes as believe us.

  148. This is another statement I'm going to share. You know, my rough will

  149. be a fare us, but you know, just have to do what you

  150. have to do. We tend to stretchure. We then to strap scripture so

  151. much so that it will stretch it to a point where it applies in our

  152. situation, and it helps this heart feel better. Jesus is in the book.

  153. Jesus is there with me. I don't have to do much. I

  154. just have to wait. This true like Paul. You know, the Angel

  155. of the Lord appeared to Paul and say, you just got to weather this

  156. storm. Oh, therefore I also can just weather this storm. Were in

  157. there in your life. It's something that has to move before Jesus can work

  158. in your heart. Something has to change, The focus has to change.

  159. If we're only reading scripture to find one thing, which is how can this

  160. help me, we may totally miss out on the focus of this text,

  161. which points to the nature of God and who he is. Stop trying to

  162. find who you are in the Bible and find who find out who he is.

  163. Amen, Let's go through verse by verse all right, verse thirty five

  164. on the same day when the evening come? So which day was this?

  165. How many of us know? What was Jesus doing prior to this? What

  166. was he doing here preaching? You're sharing, In fact, you're sharing some

  167. of the parables? Right, I do I have an image of uh image

  168. of the ocean, the sea of Galilee, somewhere there right yeah, okay,

  169. this is the Sea of Galilee. Uh and that is the soul's cove,

  170. is where it's commonly alight, or rather very I would say that this

  171. is where he did most of his preaching from uh is. He was a

  172. man that was in demand. Jesus, you're not in the Savior was a

  173. man that was in demand. All right. If you sing that he was

  174. nobody, think again, open your bible and read how much in demand this

  175. person named Jesus was. Yet each and every time after he performs a miracle,

  176. he always say, do not share to anyone. It's a warning,

  177. it's an instruction, do not. But people were just in awe so much

  178. of the action. You see, Jesus had a big following, a multitude,

  179. But where was that multitude multitude when he got crucified. The people that

  180. were around Jesus when he was crucified, I believe no or even they themselves

  181. were healed by Jesus, and they knew a family member, a brother,

  182. a sister, a child. But yet they were seeking so much so for

  183. the action, the healing, the trial, the tribulation, to get out

  184. of that so much soul. But they did not focus on the creator they

  185. were just in it so that they will get what they want. The multitude

  186. was so big. It was so big that even in scripture it says that

  187. Jesus had to tell his disciples to prepare a boat for him so that he

  188. doesn't get trampled on. It was such a break following. Can you imagine

  189. I'm standing here and it all come to us me. I'm gonna die.

  190. I can't even minister, and I have to retreat or sharks. I have

  191. to retreat to the ocean, to the Sea of Galilee, and on a

  192. boat. I tell you, it's so amazing that Jesus was standing in the

  193. boat on the sword's court, and you can see around the Sea of Galilee

  194. is mountains. There's a natural ambience, there's no need for a mic.

  195. His voice in himself, along with the wind, was enough to share his

  196. voice that people multitudes can hear his voice. That's the power of Jesus,

  197. that's the power of your creator. That even the winds and the seas obey

  198. him. And yet after each miracle he says to not share. I'm here

  199. for you. I'm here for you. Have you ever thought that way?

  200. Why did Jesus instruct the people that he healed, not to share because if

  201. I am in it for the glory of myself. When I married such a

  202. beautiful wife, you know, when I caught that such a beautiful girl in

  203. the form of Rochelle, I won the whole world to know, right,

  204. I should be sharing on social media? Right. But when Jesus came for

  205. me, he came for me. He didn't care if anyone else knew he

  206. came for me. He knew his purpose, and he went for the one.

  207. He went for that one. But you know, people are people are

  208. instruction given already never listen multitude game. And he did he say, did

  209. he send them away? No? He healed. He he talked to them,

  210. He prayed for them, one by one. So there's the introduction on

  211. the same day. What are you doing with your day friends, before your

  212. trials come, before your storms come? What are you doing with your day?

  213. How are you living out your day? How are you living out your

  214. day? Friends? Are you filling up your day with the love of Jesus

  215. Christ? Or are you filling up your day with garbage? When I'm preaching

  216. this, I'm always preaching it to myself because I am weak. I'm the

  217. weakest in this whole room. Really, ask my wife. She knows me.

  218. She will look. I can imagine my head. She look at me

  219. right now, being in the world God, she goes like hippocrite. I

  220. can imagine because I am weak. I am weak. This flesh, this

  221. heart is deceitful, this flesh is weak. But when I preach today and

  222. I share the word of God with you today, it's also a reminder of

  223. myself. On the same day, when the evening had come, he said

  224. to them, let us cross over to the other side. All right,

  225. let us cross over to the other side. It was already late, the

  226. whole day was gone. It's time to rest, told his disciples, let

  227. us cross over to the other side. In my Bible I highlighted this verse,

  228. let us cross over to the other side. When your Creator says something

  229. to you, it means it will happen last something, something popping in your

  230. mind. Right now, let us cross over to the other side means what

  231. means you will get to the other side. Lah. Right, So why

  232. did the disciples in the midst of the storm, penny, It's already clear.

  233. Sometimes in our life, God has already given an instruction to you.

  234. God has already declared your future over your life. But yet time and time

  235. again we forget about what God has told us in the first place. And

  236. there we are crying and praying to God, God, please help me.

  237. But God already said, you are going to get over to the other side.

  238. Turn to your neighbor and say you're going to get over to the other

  239. side. Come on, friends, you are going to get over to the

  240. other side. I'm going to see you in heaven. If you are a

  241. believer today, if you believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and savior,

  242. I'm going to see you in heaven. That is a promise. Stop trying

  243. to let the enemy rob you of that promise just because you watch potography the

  244. other day. Submit to the Lord forgive, Ask God for forgiveness. Repent.

  245. Yes you commit a sin, Yes you said something wrong. Yes you

  246. did something wrong. Yes you, but you have a loving father that you

  247. can come back to. But think that first step, friends, think that

  248. first step. Let us cross over to the other side. Oh, such

  249. a beautiful picture. But like every other human being, let's read on what

  250. happens all right? Verse thirty six, Verse thirty six. I think it's

  251. on the slide right, so you can read together with me. Now,

  252. when they had left the multitude, they took him along in the boat as

  253. he was. What is the important phrase in this verse? Passassandra is Beingsasendra.

  254. The important phrase in this verse is as he was as he was.

  255. Think Jesus as he is. Don't try to make your version of Jesus.

  256. I your version of Jesus will only help you in this situation. But when

  257. this situation is over, I yell crucify him. You know, every time

  258. we blush him against the Holy Spirit, that's actually an unpartable sin if you

  259. read the Bible. But time and time again, sometimes we do it Unknowingly.

  260. There's power in the name of Jesus. Declare the name of Jesus over

  261. your life. I'm very inspired by pas Can, but until now I can't

  262. get it. I'm always going like, ah, but that's that's just who

  263. he is. Always like to say, he's a man of faith, man

  264. of faith, man of faith. But come on, he's faith, and

  265. your faith should be the same. He's Jesus, and your Jesus should be

  266. the same, same God as he was, and other little boats were also

  267. with him. I don't know how many of you have not this, this

  268. spartning scripture. Huh, God lit boats with him. I ran on a

  269. wild goose chase. Let me share you this our preparent especiation. What is

  270. the significance of these three boats? Three? Is it? Three? I

  271. just went one number? So there's this main boat. Sorry, am I

  272. drawing? And then God Jesus sleeping? Okay? Then got other boats?

  273. Ronnie? What does the other boats mean? Oh? Man, what's the

  274. significance of the other boats? Is it? Because? Oh? What is

  275. it? What is it? Guys? Who cares? Dan you? Why

  276. are you focusing on the little boat when there's a big boat? Or what

  277. there for you to focus on? I kid you not, that's what happened,

  278. Sally, the part in my face gonna slept nicely? Why are you

  279. focusing on the little boat? Why are you focusing on the other boats?

  280. Come on? Scripture is scripture. It's an eye witness account. Friends.

  281. You know how when you you you want to tell your friend about your favorite

  282. choparty anxally, you know, you saw one duck in the middle of the

  283. road, and you say, there was three ducks in the middle of road.

  284. But suddenly there's a big chapatty over here, the three ducks. It's

  285. just an eye winners a town. You don't have to over spiritualize every single

  286. thing in the Bible. The Bible is real. If the three boats method,

  287. they will tell you what happened to the three boats or sorry I keep

  288. saying three, that's not This is the other little boats right right, They

  289. will tell you what happened to it. So stop taking your focus away from

  290. the main point. Keep the main point the main point. Make the main

  291. point the main point. Stop trying to find side this side, this side,

  292. dish or no need. Okay, So the little posts are there,

  293. yes, agreed, Let's move on. Okay, the little pots were there

  294. for whatever reason. Okay. Verse thirty seven, a great windstorm arose and

  295. the ways bit into the boats, so that it was already feeling So what's

  296. happening here? What's happening here? Suddenly? Suddenly? Okay, let me

  297. give you some geography lesson. Okay, I learned this, so I just

  298. want to share it with you. Do you know that in can we go

  299. back to the to the Sea of Galilee and the Okay, so you see

  300. the mountains right, the Sea of Galilee is the lowest fresh water sea in

  301. the world. Okay, it's about I think it's the lowest. And then

  302. the non lowest fresh water is the Dead Sea, which is further down.

  303. Okay, So the Sea of Galilee being so low, Okay, you know

  304. you'll know physics or science right in the middle of the night, the sea

  305. is what hot or cold? So you throw the science physics back to the

  306. teacher. It's hot, lie right? Cold air is where? Uh?

  307. And then there's this remember this you shouldn't remember this chat right right forget all

  308. through the teacher. Okay. So the mountains, the mountains that is surrounding

  309. the Sea of Galilee is where the cold air is. And at night,

  310. as the air is gushing down through the mountains, it meets with the air

  311. it is on the sea and it causes a turbulence. He causes the turbulence.

  312. That's why the Sea of Galilee is notoriously known for its waves and sudden

  313. earthquakes. Earthquakes sudden uh, like all these boisterous windla you know, all

  314. these conditions whereby you know, the ships, so just kept signs and whatnot

  315. like Okay, So the Sea of Galilee is known for that who is on

  316. this Who is on the boat with Jesus? Fishermen? Right? Where did

  317. the fishermen work prior to meeting with Jesus? This is very sea they were

  318. here, So what you call them masters of the trade? They were musters.

  319. Who was Jesus carpenter? Why asking Jesus about this? Okay, that's

  320. one thing for you to know. Okay. So a great windstorm arose,

  321. the ways already beating on a boat the bank of the bank, the bang,

  322. right, and then it was already feeling up with water. Right,

  323. So what was the designer was doing in the in the end that moment panicking?

  324. I would imagine they were trying to scoop up water and throw it out

  325. of the water. You're not trying to steer the ship back because there they

  326. are fisherman, they should know what to do. Right, Let's go on

  327. verse thirty eight. But he was in the stern. The stern is at

  328. the back of the ship normally where the theato rota is the wheel. And

  329. he was asleep on a pillow, and they awoke him and said to him,

  330. teacher, do you not care? All right? He was asleep on

  331. a pillow. This is where I started today earlier by saying, sometimes a

  332. very scripture, we have to read it as it is. Have you ever

  333. asked ourself a question? Why is Jesus asleep? Why is Jesus asleep?

  334. Oh, Jesus asleep, so I should sleep too. No, Jesus asleep

  335. because he's human. Lah, he's tired, La. He just went through

  336. an entire day of preaching and sharing and praying for people. The people don't

  337. know whether he wrestlprocate well as well, We don't know, but he had

  338. to meet all kinds of people, right, right, he was just dire,

  339. La, He was just tired. It just shows his humanity. Just

  340. sws that he is really who he is, a man that gets tired.

  341. We don't have to over spiritualize these kind of things, right, he just

  342. gets tired. Then the disciples say to him, teacher, do you not

  343. care that we are perishing? Wow? When I read this verse, right,

  344. I was asking to myself, what's the what's the issue with the disciples

  345. waking Jesus up? What's that the issue? Friends? Any any response?

  346. What's that the issue? Sign my check? You know? Banging? Ready?

  347. You know? No, at least my got no money? What's andra

  348. you haven't sent me my check yet? Can you wake up and sign my

  349. check? Please? Is that the issue? She did lay pay me for

  350. ten months? Is that the issue? Is that? Is that right for

  351. me to say I haven't really kept my salary for ten months? You?

  352. Is that an issue? Let's try it again. You don't care what me?

  353. Is it? Who is Jesus in your life? I'm going to get

  354. fired tomorrow, teacher? Do you not care? I don't know how much

  355. of you have been in this situation before. When we look to God and

  356. we say these words, God, do you not care about where I am

  357. in? God? Do you not care about the child I've lost? God?

  358. Do you not care? Some of these issues are very real? Do

  359. you not care? What the job that I've lost? Do you not care

  360. about the people that are dying in Gaza? Really? How many of us,

  361. all of us were at the keyboard the rate typing? Yeah you know

  362. this israelies. God? Do you not care? But the babies that are

  363. dying? God? Do you not care? I have asked this question before,

  364. and I think that is the crux of the problem here. I think

  365. that's the crux that led to Jesus rebuking the disciples, let's read on.

  366. Then he arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, peace be

  367. still, and the wind sees, and there was a great calm. You

  368. know, in the Greek language. I'm not going to go into some Greek

  369. study here, but the Greek language, and in the way it was written

  370. verse thirty nine, there was an emphasized emphasis on the words suddenly. That

  371. means, when Jesus rebuilt the wind, immediately the wind stopped. Immediately,

  372. the wind sees, and there was a great calm out of the blue.

  373. Out of the blue. It was as if the wind was obeying the word

  374. of God, obeying his voice so much so that the disciples were able to

  375. hear exactly what Jesus had to say to them in the boistious wind. How

  376. can you hear what I have to say? It is as implicated. It's

  377. as if creation knows who their creator is. And when Jesus rebuilt the wind,

  378. it ceased verse forty. And here's the he gets beautiful. And when

  379. late, I'm going to just illustrate something to you that came to me today

  380. this yesterday, Verse forty. He said to them, why are you so

  381. fearful? Why you wake me up? Why? Why? Why? Why?

  382. Why? Why can't you handle this yourself? Is that? Oh?

  383. Jesus was saying it. I was just wondering, is it is that?

  384. Hell? Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no

  385. faith? Ah? It's a very painful sentence to hear, right, you

  386. know, especially when you're going through something with your loved one, Especially when

  387. I'm going through something with my dad. Doctor going up to you and saying,

  388. why are you so fearful? Of course I'm fearful. I'm going to

  389. the problem, not you, right, you wait, you go to the

  390. problem, You go to the problem. Yourself talk so much? How many

  391. of us have said that before? How many of us have said it to

  392. our others? Half before? You talk so much? You cleaner, you're

  393. super nigh. There's the reason why you are supposed to clean and not her.

  394. There's a reason why they were the fisherman and Jesus was not. There's

  395. a reason why he was asleep because there is not his job. It's not

  396. his job to steer the boat. He did his job already. Let him

  397. sleep. Let the man sleep. To your part, why are you so

  398. fearful? Why have you no faith? So I went to Greek where the

  399. New Testone was written in, and I found out the word fearful. I'm

  400. gonna share you in Greek the meaning of fearful. I have a slight I

  401. think, can you put it up? Meaning a fearful in Greek? Here

  402. we go de alius. De alius is fear in Greek means cowardly and timid.

  403. All right, So when Jesus was saying why are you so fearful?

  404. Jesus was saying, why are you so delious? Okay, following me so

  405. far? Verse forty one. What happened after that? And they feared exceedingly?

  406. The word feared exceedingly here is in Greek it's called phobio fore boss,

  407. which is reverence to be seized with alarm. You are alarmed about it.

  408. When this person walks into the room, when this person is in your midst,

  409. there is an urgency. There is a reverence towards this person. When

  410. Passsandra walks in the room, I hope you have respect for her because it's

  411. just who she is. Right. When Albert walks in the room and he

  412. is worship leading over here, I hope you are not over there saying I

  413. heard this worship leader Laosian la cant a single la have some respect and what

  414. more God? And when God is in your room, I hope that there

  415. is that fear, not a fear there is cowardly and kimid. Oh my

  416. God, I afraid that fear will come if you knew that you have sinned.

  417. That's the fear that came upon Adam when he was hiding. There was

  418. an exceedingly above all multiplied fear for the Lord. There was a reverence Verse

  419. forty one. And they feared exceedingly and said to one another, who can

  420. this be that even the wind and the sea obey him? Now, remember

  421. where where we were was the disciples were in the boat, and they were

  422. in a place where they were so scared. They were so coward the cowardice

  423. was in their heart. And and remember these are not Tom Dick and Harrier.

  424. This is disciples that were fishermen. About six or seven of them were

  425. fishermen, and all of them in the boat at the same time. And

  426. you are so scared. You may think that you have control over your life,

  427. but there's something that may happen in your life that will bring you to

  428. your knees. So scared of it. You're so fearful. And before me

  429. I realized that it's family. It's family whenever someone gets sick, whenever loved

  430. one gets especially with my dad in the past, I shed before. Uh,

  431. you know, day in day out, sometimes speaching the word of God.

  432. But suddenly when it happens to you, and when the reality hits you,

  433. suddenly forgot to pray. You suddenly just rush the hospital immediately. Instead

  434. of calming yourself that and saying, Lord help me, in my heart,

  435. I'm uttering words like Lord, do you not care? I'm doing the work

  436. for you theay in day out. But yet why is it that my dad,

  437. my own dad? Why is it when I pray for you know,

  438. teens and they get their big true? But where is my true? All

  439. of this goes out of the window when it needs to be dealt with,

  440. when it needs to be the main point in your life. The disciples were

  441. going through a storm, and but how they ended this situation was that the

  442. fear of the Lord was there in their life. They knew who God was,

  443. They knew who Jesus is. The disciples knew that Jesus was the Messiah.

  444. Already saw so many miracles that were performed by him, But did they

  445. really know who Jesus was until that point. I believe that this was one

  446. of the turning points in which they looked and they realized, Wow, yeah,

  447. this is no joke. Jesus is in the boat. Jesus is in

  448. my presence, Jesus is in my family, Jesus is in my situation.

  449. Friends, my question to you is have you realized that Jesus is in your

  450. seat situation? Because if Jesus is in your situation, all you have to

  451. do is to cry out to him in moments of desperation, moments where nothing

  452. else will, everything else feel, and nothing else seems to work. I

  453. pray, and I pray that you remember that Jesus is there with you.

  454. It is not wrong for the disciples to wake Jesus up. If the Disciples

  455. were to wake Jesus up and say, Jesus, help, Lord, Help,

  456. we tried everything already and we can't. We're still in this situation,

  457. do you think Jesus will still say the same thing to the disciples. I

  458. believe it's because of their lack of faith in who Jesus was. It's the

  459. lack of faith that Jesus can move the mountains. Is the lack of faith

  460. that Jesus is the ruler over the oceans, ruler over the seas, is

  461. who he is, and in the world of God is very clear that God

  462. is the one that commands the weather, that God is the one that commands

  463. the world, That God is the one Paul Paul couldn't. If Paul could,

  464. why why why why didn't he just stop the sea? Why didn't he

  465. Why did the Angel of the Lord appear to poor and say, you gotta

  466. wear that is out now? If the Lord Jesus Christ, you know,

  467. has like given the power to the disciples to heal, that is because God

  468. has given you the authority. But if you have not received the authority in

  469. your life, stop stop trying to be God, friends, stop trying to

  470. be God. I'm gonna give you some verses to back this up. God,

  471. not men, commands and controls the weather. Remember Elijah, Remember when

  472. he was asking for rain and he prayed. What did Elijah do? Elijah

  473. prayed right after that? What happened? He waited? It was God that

  474. brought the rain. Eli, like, you're only prayed Psalms sixty five,

  475. verse five to eight. Can you turn your bible to Psalms sixty five,

  476. verse five to eight, and we're gonna read XTV. Can you help me

  477. with this Psalm sixty five, verse five to eight. I don't have to,

  478. you have to turn to scripture. Right. Let's zoom in on verse

  479. seven if possible. By awesome, yaya your confidence on all the ends of

  480. the earth and file seas? Next verse, who established the mountains by his

  481. strengths being closed with power? Next verse? You who's steal the noise of

  482. the sea, the noise of the waves, and the tumult of the people.

  483. You God, Who's steal the voice of the sea. Psalms eighty nine,

  484. verse eight to nine. Can we have that lub as well? XTV?

  485. Thank you so much. These are some verses that you can take down.

  486. I hope that you. Verse eighteen, Chapter eighty nine, XTV,

  487. Verse eight to nine, Oh Lord, God of holes, Who is mighty

  488. like you? Oh Lord? This is one of those verses. Who is

  489. mighty like you? Who? Who else about you? Who else about you?

  490. Your faithfulness also surrounds you? Next verse? You rule the raging seas.

  491. When its waves rises, you steal them? God steals the sea all

  492. the while. Previously, before this, it was always I prayed and God

  493. answered, Elijah, it was always, you know, the Angel of the

  494. Lord appeared, and then I just follow his commanments. The disciples, you

  495. have to understand that in the culture, in the Jewish culture, they were

  496. very very very clear, and they know the Torah, they know the Old

  497. Testament, they know the Word of God, and some of them even know

  498. it by heart right because back then there's no physical Bible. They're all in

  499. scrolls. Job thirty eight. This is a chapter. When I read this,

  500. I go like, oh, God, you're just you're just showing off

  501. who you are. Really in a good way. You are just showing off

  502. your authority, your power. Okay, Job thirty eight. Job thirty eight

  503. is filled with job can you do this? Can you do this? Can

  504. you do this? Can you do this? Can you do this? I

  505. can do this? Can you do this? I can do this? Can

  506. you do this? I can do this? You read Job thirty eight,

  507. the whole chapter is that he's just just just every single thing in job thirty

  508. eight was like that can you do this? Only God can do this?

  509. And in Job thirty eight there is a first that says that only God can

  510. steal the waters. So, friends, when the disciples saw Jesus, peace,

  511. peace, do you Jesus didn't even pray. No, Jesus just commanded

  512. the waters. Jesus commanded the wind to stop, and the wind stopped.

  513. In that moment. I believe the disciples understood who this person is. This

  514. person is God. Have you realized that God is there in your life,

  515. walking with you? Said? Step by step? The Holy Spirit is God.

  516. Yes, Jesus physically may not be here anymore, but He has sent

  517. the Holy Spirit to be each and every one of us. Have we realized

  518. that reality? Because if we are watering down the Holy Spirit, guys,

  519. and if we are only like you know, oh, Jesus, Jesus,

  520. Jesus, Yes, the there's power in it, Jesus, but there's also

  521. power in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is there with you. And

  522. are we aware of this? Psalms eighteen, Verse fifteen, Psalms one oh

  523. four seven one oh six' nine, Isaiah fifty two, now Home one

  524. four. All of these are verses that supports that only God controls the weather,

  525. and Jesus himself controlled the weather. Jesus himself rebuilt the wind there was

  526. a sudden realization of who Jesus is. Before I close, I'm just going

  527. to share with you some questions that I asked myself and relate to the disciples.

  528. First question, what was wrong with the fear of the disciples? Oh's

  529. wrong? Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no

  530. faith? Could it be that there was a promise meth and regardless of what

  531. happened, all is well and just believe? Could that be what the disciples

  532. should have done instead of being fearful? Remember early on we started March apter

  533. fall by saying we will cross over to the other side. There was an

  534. instruction given, all's going to be well, just have faith. Yeah,

  535. possibly, but it was highly It was slightly a bit hard to apply in

  536. my life because the Word of God did not promise me that I would be

  537. delivered from each and every one of my tribulations and my trials. I do

  538. not know if you know you can you can share me? Is there a

  539. scripture that backs that up? In my personal life? I know of a

  540. certain word, the Word of the Lord, that I can hold onto.

  541. I'm going to share with you today, men, my two eleven come to

  542. me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will

  543. give you rests. He did not say that the burden will go away.

  544. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously. And he

  545. will give you everything that you need. He says, everything that you need,

  546. not everything that you want. John Itid, remain faithful to my teachings,

  547. and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

  548. It's the truth that is revealed to you. Whether the truth it's about

  549. your situation, and actually the real problem it's you that would be revealed to

  550. you. Maybe the real problem you are in this trial and this tribulations because

  551. you have not been obedient to the voice of the Lord. Maybe it's because

  552. Jesus has commanded you to do something through the world of God and you have

  553. not obeyed. Maybe that's why your big truth has not come. And the

  554. truth will set you free, John Itid, Remember John fourteen, A place

  555. prepared for me. There's a place. Don't let your hearts be troubled.

  556. Trust in God and also in me. Trust in God and also in me

  557. whatever state that I am, to be content, and I can do all

  558. things through Christ, who strengthens me Philippines. For these are versus that I

  559. can hold on too. Could it be here's another question that maybe y'all can

  560. reflect on. Could it be to believe on God? Believe in God regardless

  561. of peril. Now, I'd like to share with you that this is something

  562. that I caught out of this scripture, to believe in God regardless of peril.

  563. You know, use this for a while. When he tries to illustrate

  564. something, we're close, you know, by it says that the heart is

  565. deceit for right, the heart is really just something that you shouldn't rely on

  566. the feelings, the emotions that will come your way. What should what should

  567. the disciples to do? What should I do? What should we do?

  568. Okay? So when when when when the Bible says about the heart, And

  569. when the Bible says that the heart is deceived for what does it actually mean?

  570. I believe that when you're listening to yourself, when you're putting yourself above

  571. everything else, that is what would change your path, that was what would

  572. lead you to destruction. And the heart is in the center of that all.

  573. Your heart for a better life, your heart for a better wife,

  574. your heart for a better husband, your heart for a better job. When

  575. things are I'm not talking about when things are all fancy nice and what you

  576. know. I'm talking about when things are really, really really bad. Things

  577. are bad. And how you can control this heart is by hearing the word

  578. of God. All right, So that's the only way you can control and

  579. keep his heart in check is when you depend on the Cross. Jesus is

  580. the center. Without Jesus, without this word, without God in your life,

  581. all you're going to do is to continue to hear things that you shouldn't

  582. be hearing, things that are not of the spirit, things that will only

  583. lead you to destruction. Friends, I would like to encourage you that as

  584. the disciples were on the board, as the disciples, but in the storm,

  585. as you are in the storms of your life, are you angering it

  586. on who Jesus is? Are you angering it on the Cross? Because if

  587. you're not, you're just going to continue to go on this path that will

  588. only lead to destruction. You know, in John chapter one, verse one,

  589. how y'all know this my heart right now in the beginning, in the

  590. beginning, Come on, y'all notice in the beginning and the word with God,

  591. and the word was The Word of God is what you should be in

  592. booing a life in not one chapter, but the Word of God. This

  593. Cross is the word of God. Stop trying to cherry pick which verse applies

  594. to your life. But know the Word of God for who he is.

  595. And I can guarantee you. I can guarantee you everything will be answered when

  596. it really go away. Do good people die? Yes, we just lost

  597. a very well known bust who is a shepherd of many. He died.

  598. How to tackt death comes after us all, but as we anchoring it on

  599. the cross, and as we are hearing the cross, as we hear the

  600. word of God, remember what God? Remember what Jesus said to the disciples.

  601. Why are you so fearful? Where is your faith? Where's your faith?

  602. Friends? Where's your faith? Daniel? Where's your faith that God will

  603. wolve mountains for you? Where is it? Because faith comes by faith comes

  604. by hearing. Faith comes by hearing hearing the word of God. And as

  605. you hear the word of God, you will God your heart. I'm going

  606. to introduce you another term. All right, do you all know the word?

  607. Do you know this word Russ? Is it the beautiful thing Russ?

  608. Do you like russ in your life if you try to wash it right,

  609. if you try to scrape it and scrap it and scrape it. But if

  610. you do not try it, well, it's just going to come back and

  611. back again. Right. Without the cross, your life will continue to russ.

  612. But with the Cross you will begin to trust. You see it.

  613. You have to trust on the Cross. Friends, you have to trust in

  614. the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding,

  615. and in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall I read your path.

  616. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and not your understanding on

  617. how to steer the boat, and on your own understanding on how to fish

  618. out the water. But trust in the Lord with all your heart. The

  619. disciples had to trust in the Lord with all their heart. That was what

  620. was lacking. There was what was lacking. The faith in who Jesus is

  621. was lacking in my life. That is the same as well. The faith

  622. was lacking. The trust wasn't there, and all was left is the junk.

  623. All was left is the trust, the rust that will only destroy who

  624. I meant to be. So, friends, as you hear the Cross,

  625. and as the Cross continue to lead you to trust, in who he is.

  626. I pray that each and every one of you will understand the reality of

  627. Jesus Christ and who is that person in your book Job twenty two, verse

  628. twenty one to twenty two, and the New Living Translation says, to submit

  629. to God and you will have peace. Submit to God that you will have

  630. peace. Listen to His instructions and store them in your in your the hertest

  631. deceitful friends, But if you rely on the cross, if you put Jesus

  632. in your heart, if you'll continue to live that way, nothing will be

  633. impossible that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is

  634. not amen. I pray, and I pray that today. If you don't

  635. catch anything else, I wasn't preparing a message that had three four five main

  636. points. My one and only point is Jesus Christ is Lord. Jesus Christ

  637. is Lord. As you come into a place where you are on fire to

  638. share that all may know, I pray that you know first that Jesus Christ

  639. is Lord in your life, in your situation. Put Jesus first above everything

  640. else. Let him guide and lead your waist. And I'm going to share

  641. you one final thought before we close. That will make or break it all.

  642. This will really make or break it all. All right, all right,

  643. I'm gonna you know which story this is about, Daniel Tree Verse seventeen.

  644. Daniel Tree Verse seventeen was a story about three friends, three young guys

  645. named Schedra, Michek, and Ebenegal, and the story goes along the line

  646. of this, then my God will deliver me. My God will deliver me.

  647. He will. But even if he does not, I will not bow

  648. down. We will not bow down. Friends in your life, I don't

  649. know how many of you are looking for the first part of Daniel Tree seventeen.

  650. How many of you will only move if the first part of Daniel Tree

  651. seventeen happens in your life. The story of even if he does not is

  652. very important. Even if he does not, even if I die in that

  653. storm, Jesus Christ is still Lord. Even if my race is over,

  654. Jesus Christ is still Lord. I hope this encourages you. We hope you've

  655. been blessed by this message. For more information on our church, please visit
