You're listening to a message to go from at church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. I want to start up with this picture because
-
the only spray impressed in my heart to want to first encourage the leaders here.
-
I had the opportunity to see them grow with us when they were campus
-
student. This tall to now slightly taller. But most of them started their
-
years here or gross ways as well. Right, most of them started their
-
years here with us in Semonie, and for a season they joined us in
-
k Neeli. And when the church grows, the number in semon year grow,
-
and therefore we decided to plan examine here. So I want to say
-
that the Lord told me to share with you days leaders, that your faithfulness
-
will shine forth and your faithfulness will continue to shine forth. You guys are
-
very blessed to have faithful leaders here. I've been serving in Early for fourteen
-
years and I share similar journey with them, where we don't stay in the
-
place of our ministry. We all have amazing job and it's always a challenge
-
right to balance between ministry work personal relationship. Anyway, some of them found
-
each other here as well. If you know to married to married, that
-
career to married. Praise a lot ah, but two or three that oh
-
soon, No, I didn't hear the news? Is there news? And
-
many more to come as well. So it's not easy being faithful, to
-
be honest, But I want to say that as you are faithful in doing
-
the things that God has placed in your heart, he will continue to be
-
fitful upon your life. Open doors for you give you not just an amazing
-
job, by an amazing influence. Wherever you go, you have that influence.
-
It's one thing for a speaker to say this without having the context or
-
without having experienced himself. But again, I'm just speaking from a fourteen years
-
of just serving an a line. I know what I'm saying, and I
-
won't let you know that God is faithful, all right, So let your
-
faithfulness continue shine forth that we can ever say it, And to the amazing
-
people here. You know, sometimes being a leader in your church plan,
-
in Eli or wherever, it's very difficult to ask people to honor you as
-
a leader. One So because I don't leave this church plan, so it's
-
easy for me to say that, guys, you have great leaders, honor
-
your leaders. Really, leadership can be a very lonely journey. At times.
-
Leadership sometimes can also be emotionally burdening. But the fact that all these
-
great people are still standing shows you a lot about their character, shows you
-
a lot about the care and love that they have given to all of you.
-
So when there's appropriate time, continue to honor your leader. It is
-
a principle of God. As you honor your leaders, you too will be
-
blessed. Amen. All right, So that's not the topic for today,
-
but I thought of just saying that because the lot drop that burden in my
-
heart. Amen. Good, So far as some let's go. So I
-
schack this message in Eli last week. The message is called a year of
-
creative break truths. I really believe this in my whole being and all my
-
whole spirit, that this year is going to be a year of creative break
-
truths to many of you. So returned to your Bible. In Genesis chapter
-
one, we're going to read from verse one. It saysier in the beginning,
-
God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form,
-
and white and darkness was on the face of the deep, and the Spirit
-
of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Of course, in
-
Genesis chapter one, when you read it, we know it is about the
-
creation. Right. In fact, when you read verse one again, you're
-
able to see that the fabric of the universe was explained in just that one
-
line. So what consists inside the fabric of the universe is basically three things.
-
Right. We all know this time, matter, and space. This
-
makes up the universe. So when I read Genesis chapter one, it tells
-
me that there's a creators that creates the universe. How do we see this?
-
In the beginning whenever there is a beginning, it speaks about the time,
-
and when there is a beginning, there will be ending. That's what
-
time is all about. And it says it's God created heavens heavens here basically
-
means space is not a capital H, meaning it's heaven where God dwells,
-
but is heavens right and earth? Earth speaks about math, matter. So
-
we know that God is the creator of everything and that he acted sovereignly and
-
divinely over all his creation. So you and I today, we are not
-
a product of accident. We are not a product of a random cosmic behavior
-
that decided to collide and then life begin. We are all created by God
-
for God. Right, that's my firm belief. I take my Bible as
-
a source to say that God is our creator. John chapter one, verse
-
one to three. In the beginning was the Word, and the word was
-
with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with
-
God. All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made
-
that was made. Pop quiz When a postor John wrote this, who was
-
he referring to Jesus? Yeah, it's like a straightforward answer. Right,
-
You guys got it right. He was refer to Jesus, because when you
-
read in the context again, you realize that he was referring to Jesus.
-
So we know that Jesus was there in the beginning with God, and we
-
know that all things were made through Jesus. Without Jesus, nothing was made
-
that was made. So that made Jesus God as well. Colosians Chapter one,
-
verse fifteen to seventeen. He is the image of the invisible God,
-
the firstborn overall creation. For by him all things were created that are in
-
heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or domini,
-
or principalities or powers, all things were created throue him. And for
-
him, and He is before all things, and in him all things consists.
-
I like this verse when he says all things were created true him and
-
for him. You and I were created for him. We're all created to
-
worship God. We're all created to have a connection with God. So Jesus
-
Christ was there in the beginning of all things. So when you look at
-
what create, Obviously, in English, the word create carries a very specific
-
meaning, but when you look at it in Hebrew, it also says to
-
create, shape, form, to fashion, and it is always with God
-
as a subject, meaning it is attributed to God as being the create tork.
-
Right Genesis chapter one, when there was nothing, the earth was without
-
form and white. When God spoke let there be light, there was light.
-
When God asked the oceans, the water is to be parted, and
-
the earth comes up, it just came out. When God say let there
-
be trees, herbs, that there be cattles, animals, they just appear.
-
So He created these things. So on January one, when I was
-
doing my quiet time, God place uh something in my heart to say that
-
this year is going to be a year of creative breakthrough. And he wants
-
ex church to remember that we carry with us a pioneering spirit that means we
-
enter into a territory, we do something that people would have never taught before,
-
or people who have never gone before. Who is a pioneer. Pioneer
-
is someone who creates something that is wow you crew, you become an example
-
where people will say, because you have done it, I do can do
-
it. So next church. We must never forget that we have this pioneering
-
spirit in us, not just for ministry purposes, but for your marketplace,
-
your campus, in every area of your life. God will give you the
-
pioneering spirit. Why because I always believe in an alignment to the blessing and
-
the grace that God has given to us. If God has given us the
-
grace to plant churches, as we align, one day we will be a
-
church planter. You know, this church really we have grown from three to
-
probably three thousand globally, many church plans, various social enterprise and pass CANEV
-
is a dreamer and he has pioneered many things. And because we serve under
-
his leadership, and because he is the chatter it over this church, and
-
as we align ourselves to the vision that God has given to us, we
-
stand to be a recipient of the grace to pioneer, of the strength to
-
pioneer. How many of you already known that in twenty twenty four things will
-
happen. Do you know specific things that will happen? No, right,
-
because no one of us is a prophet. We don't know what will happen.
-
But I can tell you there are at least six general things that will
-
happen. And in life, this will happen. First, there will be
-
opportunities for you in twenty twenty four. There will be opportunities. Today,
-
there will be opportunities. It's a matter of us seeing their opportunities. It's
-
a matter of us seizing that opportunity. So with this opportunities that require creative
-
way of seizing it, let's talk about the content of evangelism, bringing the
-
Gospel to people. And across the years, we have been very creative in
-
doing our outreaches. I dare say that our campus ministry are very creative likewise
-
for other ministry as well, and that's anoining thing that God has given to
-
us. So last December, which was last year, I told the NEWLI
-
team, it's our second year doing Caroline. I know that last year was
-
your first time doing Caroline? In outside? Right e goo? Hell do
-
you sing a song? I live my eyes to the hill. Where does
-
my help come from? Anyway? So I told the caroling team the as
-
we assemble together like avengers, we are not there to perform. Really,
-
we're not there to perform because caroling to me is a worship. To the
-
world, it may be like, wow, a very good performance. Are
-
you're seeing very good like injeeds? But to us who believe it is a
-
worship, why because we are declaring the message of Jesus. We are declaring
-
his glory. It's whine. It's fine. A promise not to knock this
-
down. It's whine, It's fine, it's fine. Or movie the way,
-
okay, go ahead, okay, just my extent. So it's a
-
worship and how God dropped this burden into my heart. Instead of going to
-
public places, go to the homes of people. And the idea really came
-
because one of our leader person you want, is part of a students association.
-
And I told my leaders that you know what, we will enter into
-
houses that will welcome them, welcome us, and we will do three things.
-
We will sing carol, we will tell them upfront, we will preach
-
the message of hope about Christmas and we will pray for them. One family
-
responded, we went in there. The husband is a Catholic. That doesn't
-
advantuurch. The wife is Hindu. When you enter the house, you see
-
Jesus as a statue inside there that basically explain their multiple faith belief. Of
-
course, to us who believe the statue doesn't represent Jesus, I'm just giving
-
you a context of the family that we went in ministring too. So we
-
went in. They were so blessed. I shared a message. At least
-
they know this is the true message of Christmas. In Tea invited us over
-
to quote unquote perform in front of the Chinese student from China. So they
-
were here for a culture exchange program or something like that. So we went
-
in there, we sang and then because the stuff is a Christian as well,
-
maybe you can share a wi Okay, I'm ready man share. I
-
asked my translator to translate the word share. Nobody said, don't ask for
-
all the call for people to receive christ say, don't worry. At least
-
we explain what is the message so Christmas. Then towards the end asked,
-
can I pray for your because yes, I want to see whether they are
-
receptive to pray or not. And they all look at me like they say,
-
okay, can I pray for your Then one of salier voice king,
-
yeah, sure, why not, let's praise. I pray for the connected
-
with the praise godder creative, not being sticked to the same stuck to the
-
same way of doing things, but allowing the Holy Spirit to tell you what
-
to do. There will be opportunities for you in your employment or in your
-
businesses. God often will give foresight to people to be creative. In twenty
-
twenty, before m CEO, a couple of weeks before the government actually announced
-
that there will be MCO, the Holy Spirit dropped something in my heart pertaining
-
to my role in my UNI. Is it ronson for your student orientation.
-
You have to start planning now to be one hundred percent online weeks before the
-
government would announce it's MCO. So when the government eventually announced MCO, right
-
hey, Being a top UNI, we were prepared man to assimilate students who
-
would have no chance to come to campus but would need to be inducted for
-
their online learning. We were found to be very really so much so.
-
This testimony was spoken by my non believing collique because last year December, like
-
all year, we will go for our brainstorming retreat and we'll plan. Then
-
Sally, when we review our orientation across the years, then Sally my clique
-
say yeah, you know before mc ronson already told us to prepare, say
-
glory to God. He is the source of our creativity. He is the
-
source that will give us insight to thing out of the box and not conform
-
to certain experiences of the past. So there will be opportunities for you.
-
How many of you know that this year we will also face problems. There
-
will be problems. You gotta be ready for it. You can't run away
-
from problem such as life. And I believe that problems will give you an
-
opportunity to be creative. There will be broad roads that require a creative way
-
out. Actually I have a slight for that can just show everything. There
-
will be a block road that requires a creative way out. You know,
-
sometimes we start things all go very smoothly, very nice. Suddenly there's a
-
curveball. How we found ourselves to be not moving? We find ourself to
-
be not progressing forward. God is going to give you a creative way out.
-
There will be closed doors that requires a creative key to open it.
-
Maybe some of you are looking for opportunities and the door has been shut close.
-
I don't know what you're praying for, but some of you might have
-
been praying for things that has been in your heart for long and the door
-
has always been there shut. Maybe instead of knocking at the door, it's
-
to ask God to give you the creative key that will unlock the door for
-
you. There will be open doors for you. I speak that to all
-
young adults here because you are working. I'm also in the marketplace. I
-
know how important it is some open doors for us, So there will be
-
open doors for you. There will be, There will be, and God
-
will give you the creativity to embrace it. They say, I'm forty.
-
I know I don't look like forty. I know I know. Thank you.
-
Why I needed to say my age is because I want to point out
-
something. It would also means that I am twenty years in the Lord being
-
a Christian because I gave my heart to Jesus, received him as my Lord
-
and Savior when I was twenty years old. Just like all of you today,
-
as a young Camper student, I gave my heart to Jesus because I
-
had an encounter with him. So why do I say forty twenty. It's
-
because in my twenty years walking with the Lord, I've come to realize that
-
God can speak to anyone, anytime, anyhow where he wants, as slong
-
as we are sensitive to him, as long as we are abiding in Him.
-
Then or there was also instances where you know, I begin to think
-
about church growth, of how the current hall that we have will not be
-
sustainable for us in the long term if we want to grow as a church,
-
and it's not very old people friendly. I got a ninety year old
-
grandma that climbs up the stairs and every time I look at her and a
-
daughter, I feel very touch and moved to say that we've got to move
-
them. So since last year I have viewed two venue. One I didn't
-
view. I asked the person who view to show me a video. So
-
on fifth January, which was two Fridays ago, Yeah, fifth January,
-
I view a venue in Insight in Tea itself. So they have this nice
-
venue that they wanted to do cafe and all just want to enter to see
-
the possibility of whether we can have church there. It was in fifth January
-
morning. I also did my quiet time and I read from Genesis six seventy
-
night about the Great flood. How after the flood subsided, God sent a
-
rainbow, and it's a sign of covenant between him and mankind that he will
-
never flood the entire earth again. Okay, please don't ask me, but
-
this place still got flirt. That place got flirt. Remember the context is
-
the entire earth again, just like how it was during the time of Noah.
-
Okay, so don't miss my elect it. It's all so there wad
-
rainbow stood out. So after in t I I went back to my apartment
-
and I was praying that God hour should I move out of Neilin Springs or
-
should I stay because the favor seems to be wavering out. I really told
-
my team we have to move. We have to find a place where we
-
see God's favor network. So it was during that evening when I opened up
-
my apartment window, I saw rainbow straight at Neeli Springs. Can I bring
-
my mind there to show it won't cost anything. So my apartment window,
-
this is the Nearli Springs Hotel. This is their golf club and their sports
-
center. Our church meets around here Rainbow. So when I saw the rainbow,
-
I felt very assured that God, despite the pain, despite the herd,
-
despite saying things that we should move out, I sense an amazing piece
-
that God, you spoke creatively that we should remain. We will then choose
-
to remain. How many of you you need God to speak to you in
-
a creative manner so that you get it, because sometimes when God speaks to
-
me plainly, I couldn't get it because my heart was very hardened. Sometimes
-
when God speaks to you plainly, like sure not God. But when God
-
starting to started to speak to you creatively, he begins to get your attention.
-
And when he gets your attention, you will take it more seriously.
-
What a a key decision you're going to make in your life. I believe
-
as you are being open to God, he can speak to you. He
-
can confirm to you in creative manner. So who needs a touch of God's
-
creative spirit today? You'll need I need. God is a source of creativity.
-
So what's the difference between God's creativity and man's creativity? Because to be
-
honest. When God created us, he also gives us talent, He gives
-
us gifting, He gives us intellect where we unnaturally creative as well some of
-
west. Right, it's like almost like your second nature. So what's the
-
difference? Slight creative of creativity of man can come from your own intelligence,
-
experience, or even gifting and wisdom. This is good, this is good.
-
Right, We're all made in an image of God. But the difference
-
is when it comes to creativity from God, it is usually an imagination that
-
is beyond human intelligence. They're not going to show you some scriptures is beyond
-
you couldn't have thought about it, and it always brings you results which can
-
only be brought about by God alone and hum alone. It cannot possibly be
-
by your own strength, it cannot possibly be by your experience. It has
-
to be by God, a Lord. And because of that, it will
-
always point the glory back to God instead of self. So God is looking
-
for a vessel for his creative power to show his glory. You can't be
-
that vessel. And the opportunities, obstacles, the whatever things I shared with
-
you earlier, closed door, open doors, roadblocks provides you that room for
-
God's creative power to flow into your situation. So when we read Genesis chapter
-
one, they says the spirit of God was hovering. I believe the Holy
-
Spirit is a creative spirit. How many will agree with me, and that
-
the Holy Spirit will always act upon God's word. Without the word, the
-
Holy Spirit will not act. So when God sayd let that be liked,
-
I believe the Holy Spirit was active in that creation. So last month was
-
Christmas. Angel Gabriel decided to appear to Mary and told Mary, you will
-
conceive a child. Mary back then was a virgin and she fulfilled the prophecy
-
from Isaiah that out of a virgin womb there will be a child born.
-
So when Angel Gabriel proclaim God's word, Mary belief. But we all know
-
in scripture in Luke one twenty six to thirty eight, you can go back
-
and read it was stated that Mary was had that Jesus was conceived through the
-
power of the Holy Spirit, because the power of God overshadowed Mary. So
-
there is a word and there is the Spirit of God working on that wid.
-
Okay, this is important because you and I need to understand that Jesus
-
has given you his spirit, which is the Holy Spirit to be your help.
-
Many of times we only think on ministry speecific. He will help you
-
to remember your Bible better. He will help you to sing better. He
-
will help you to pray better, which is good. Don't get me wrong,
-
All these things are fantastic, but let's not forget there are also other
-
things in life that we need help. We need help in our relationship with
-
our parents, with our wife, maybe with her husband. Maybe we need
-
help in our career to deal with our bosses, to deal with this project
-
that we have no idea what the project is about, but it was thrown
-
to us. The Holy Spirit will help you. So the key to me
-
is always always abiding in the lot. That should always be the key,
-
because in John fifteen, verse four, it says, abide in Me and
-
I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit for itself unless it abides
-
in the wine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am
-
the wine. You are the branches. He who abides in me and I
-
in him bears much fruit. For without me you can do nothing, nothing.
-
So we have to get our heart to not stray away from God yet
-
hoping that God will speak to us. We cannot live a life wherein our
-
heart we know we didn't even spend time waiting on God. We didn't even
-
spend time reading his word. We didn't even spend time fellowshipping and having communion
-
with him. Yet we want to hear from him. If you want to
-
hear from someone, what is the first thing you need to do? Okay,
-
okay, let me give you a contact. Yes, listen is important.
-
Seriously, listen is important. Let's say you want to call someone and
-
you want to listen to his or her voice. You have to first pick
-
up the phone, isn't it all right? So the phone to me is
-
like a prayer line. I learned this when I entered into the jungle.
-
How many of you have entered into an interior place before where certain place got
-
line? Natalie, you come to this spot, no line. God,
-
you have been into that situation before, all right. So there's a couple
-
of times when I entered the jungle because I have to bring students to do
-
some events, and all I always realized that my phone no network, no
-
network. I come to this particular spot, somehow there is line, and
-
when there is line again, let me let me show you that when there
-
is no line, no, what's that messages? Right? You feel very
-
peaceful, right, I know, I know, I know, you guys
-
will feel very peaceful, almost on zen mode, right, certainly from no
-
line. And when there is line, what happened to your phone? All
-
the messages will just come crashing down to your phone from the sky. Right.
-
So that's when the Holy Spirit whispered to me. If you want to
-
download from God, you got to stay in line with him. You cannot
-
stay out of line. You stay out of line, you won't receive it.
-
So step one, be in line with God, very very very important.
-
Joshua. Chapter six, You guys are probably familiar with the story the
-
Walls of Jericho. It was one, it says, Now Jericho was securely
-
shut because of the children of Israel. None went out and none came in.
-
Now, why was the wall shut? Because the people have heard what
-
happened in Egypt. Fear began to sit into these nations because of the Israelites.
-
Okay, and God has given Jericho to the Israelites as their promised land
-
as well to go in and conquer. And the Lord say to Joshua,
-
see, I have given Jericho into your hand. It's King and the mighty
-
man of wealer. How many of you would think that this worse sounds like
-
an open door that God has given to you. It's like, Wow,
-
there is a city, go conquer it. I have opened the door for
-
you. So it looks like an open door opportunity, isn't it? Right?
-
In what street says you shall march around the city, all you men
-
of war, You shall go all around the city once. This you shall
-
do six days. How many of you will find that that is silly?
-
To be honest? Like God, we are men of war men, we
-
are supposed to fight. Now you're asking us to circle around the city one
-
time a day. Not just one time, okay, not just one day,
-
but six days for one time? What would the warriors in Jericho be
-
thinking about us? Have it came across your mind? Like God, why
-
do you ask us to do so? It was four and seven priests shall
-
bear seven trumpets of rams horns before they ask. But the seventh day you
-
shall march around the city seven times. Wow, we embarrass ourselves. For
-
one day the people in Jericho saw us marching around not doing anything. They
-
are probably ridiculing us. Now we went back. Second day, they're probably
-
laughing at us. Third day, they're probably joking at us. Now at
-
the seventh day, you want us to go seven times. It shall come
-
to pass when they make a long blast with the rams, and when you
-
hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a
-
great shout. Then the wall of the city will fall down flat, and
-
the people shall go up, every man straight before him. Now you and
-
I know the story. They eventually obeyed God, and God grant them the
-
victory. Okay, how many of you will think that it was a creative
-
military strategy to conquer a lamb? How many of you think that is out
-
of the box, because if you are to fight fighter, you got you
-
know, six feet arrow, I got ten feet arrow. That's fight.
-
But God obviously given them another strategy which appears to me to be very creative.
-
Second Chronicles twenty, very familiar passage, verse one. And it happened
-
after days that the people of Moem with the people of Ammon and others with
-
them besides the Emmon knights, came to battle against Joosepha. Then some came
-
and told Josepha, saying, a great multitude is coming against you from beyond
-
the sea, from Syria, and they are from Hes his own Tama,
-
which is in Angeddi. And josephath feared and set himself to seek the Lord
-
and proclaim a fast throughout all Judah. Now the city in this current time
-
and text has changed. In the time of Joshua, they are supposed to
-
enter and conquer a land. This time it has flipped. People are coming
-
to conquer the king's land. Okay, So the whole nation was in danger.
-
So in verse fourteen, after Joseph had prayed, the spirit of the
-
Lord came upon Jehaziel, the son of Zachariah, the son of Naiyah,
-
the son of Jail, the son of Matayania, a livite of the sons
-
of Asap, in the midst of the assembly. I have to understand,
-
whenever you see the word levite, these are tribes that has been set apart
-
by God to serve Him as freests. So which means only this tribe can
-
offer our sacrificers, burn off reing and whatnot. Okay, So what's fifteen?
-
And he said, listen, all you of Judah, and you inhabitants
-
of Jerusalem, and you King Josephata says the Lord to you, do not
-
be afraid nor dismay because of this great multitude, for the battle is not
-
yours, but God's. Tomorrow, go down against them. They will surely
-
come up by the essence of these and you will find them at the end
-
of the brook, before the wilderness of Juril. You will not need to
-
fight this battle. Position yourself, stand still and see the salvation of the
-
Lord who is with you, Oh Judah and Jerusalem. Do not fear or
-
be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.
-
Fast forward verse twenty. So they arose early in the morning and went
-
out into the wilderness of the Goa. And as they went out, Josepha
-
stood and said, hear men, hear me, oh Judah, and youw
-
inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in the Lord your God. You shall be established,
-
believe in his prophets, and you shall prosper. And when he had
-
consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord and
-
who should praise the beauty of holiness. As they went out before the army
-
and were saying, praise the Lord for his mercy and yours forever now.
-
When they began to sing and to praise, the Lord said, ambushes against
-
the people of Ammon Mount Seer, who had come against Judah, and they
-
were defeated. So when you look at the walls of Jerichoa and you look
-
at the victory of King Josepha, you will be able to see four things
-
next life. Their military strategy was beyond human intelligence and wisdom. Human wisdom
-
will tell you defend your land, sharpen your sword, and be ready to
-
fight. They acted actually based on God's word. They didn't act on their
-
own word. They didn't act on the word of their friends. They didn't
-
act on the word of an expert. They didn't act on the word of
-
a book author. They acted on God's word and the results which can only
-
be brought about by God alone, and he always points back to the glory
-
of God. In state of self, many of you know I have been
-
working in the education sector, and with this testimony for fifteen years, they
-
say it will be my sixteen year. In twenty seventeen, I was tasked
-
by my bosses to embark on a project to develop two academic modules for students.
-
One thing you need to know about me is I do not have qualifications
-
in the field of education. I don't have a master's in teaching learning.
-
In fact, I'm not even a doctorate. I'm not even a doctor in
-
philosophy, doctor in what and not right. But my boss gave me that
-
project to say that this is the idea, go develop bit it will be
-
taken by all first year students in the UNI. First of all, I
-
thank God for the opportunity. Really I embraced it. I'm thankful that my
-
bosses believed in me. I have to believe in myself. Most importantly,
-
I have to believe in God because I really needed God and it's a project
-
that cannot fail. So it was at the time of the project in twenty
-
seventeen where we're about to launch it into twenty eighteen, when I consulted God,
-
go into my prayer time, consulted him, and all God's word,
-
ideas and inspiration just came, came, came, came, came. One
-
thing I want to say is that if you don't have a qualification, and
-
if at all the world seem to despise you because of that, do not
-
be discouraged. Although sometimes you can feel discouraged. But the truth is if
-
you have God with you, all things will be possible for you as you
-
believe. So I was also tasked. I thought the management, I need
-
five classroom and this is going to be the design of the classroom. And
-
we're going to do experiential learning inside classroom. And when student enter the classroom,
-
this is how we're going to do it. I cannot. The color
-
was all intentionally selected. The choice of lightning was intentionally selected. The flaw
-
was intentionally selected, the chairs all intentionally selected. My mandate in the workplace
-
is collisions tree, trainy tree. Everything that you do, do it wholeheartedly
-
onto the Lord and not to men. Because every morning when I enter into
-
my office, I will pray, I see that Holy Spirit. You are
-
my ceoh ah, not chief executive officer, You're my chief empowerment officer.
-
If you're a Christian, you have the Holy Spirit in you, He always
-
always gives you that age some people can see. But because you have the
-
Holy Spirit, he helps you to see the opportunity. He gives you the
-
inside to see things that people may not see. So I saw this thing,
-
I say, okay, let's do this, Papa. And I remember
-
on twenty eighteen, when everything was done, the module was approved, everything
-
by the glory of God. Monday, the first class was supposed to start
-
and it was a semester where close to one thousand students will take the module.
-
I needed to hire eighty percent of new stuff to teach this model.
-
Hired about close to twelve of them in a short amount of time. Again,
-
the Lord led me to instead of doing one on one interview, just
-
create an assessment center. Everyone who is shortlisted come together, do a team
-
building activity ronson you observe them, ask them to do a mock teaching on
-
the same day, and with an interview. Cause to me, I don't
-
start with interview. If you want to work for me, I won't start
-
with interview. I'll give you assignment. You do everything first, you come,
-
you present, because chances are by the time I interview you, I
-
would have seen whether you are the right feet or not. So I don't
-
waste time interviewing finding whether your right fit. I will give you one or
-
two assignment. You do it, you present, then we will see whether
-
you make it to the interview. So all these things so Saturday, I
-
decided to invite one of my disciples, my Christian colleagues invited there. What
-
we did was we went to this five classroom. We pray, we lay
-
hand, we pray. We asked God to bless this two module. As
-
students learn, they will be emotionally intelligent, they will prioritize their wellbeing,
-
they will know how to handle stress, et cetera. We pray. Twenty
-
eighteen, we submitted the project for a national award by the Ministry of Higher
-
Education. So my team submitted. We got shortlisted, right, So when
-
we were shortlisted, we then have to go for a pitching session in front
-
of a panel of judges. We have to share project rationale, why we
-
do this, What was the result was the outcome et cetera. And our
-
maxx were all zero Risler meaning once you are shortlisted, the marx that they
-
give you can't count. Everyone's starting on an equal foot thing. So if
-
let's say you're shortlisted with another seven uni, everyone started zero. So I
-
team say, boss, since you lead this project, why don't you go
-
present? So they gave me the privilege and the pressure. Now I'm in
-
the pleasure to go in and present. So I presented in front of all
-
the professors. You have to understand my background. I'm not a professor.
-
I'm not a doctor. I'm just a mister. All the professors. Can
-
you imagine the anxiety I will felt, the lack of confidence, the intimidation
-
that these are the qualified people who will be judging my project. They're not
-
judging me, they judging my project. Right. I need to rely on
-
God, I say, God, it's on your handsler, the creative ideas
-
you have given me. You have given me the opportunity to showcase it all
-
for your Gloryala. Cut the long story short. We end up to be
-
a national winner of that year twenty eighteen. All glory to God, Glory
-
to God, and we want ten thousand ring it. Thank you pho those
-
who are paying texts. So your money actually went for a good cause.
-
So the midistry actually grant us that winning amount. I'm here to tell you
-
that as you abide in God, he will fill you with creativity. Your
-
past experience doesn't determine the creativity that God is going to give you. So
-
and with this six points number one seven seven points number one, recognize creativity
-
comes from God, who is the sovereign and divine creator. You know sometimes
-
you don't have to crack your brain so hard not to think, because I've
-
been in situation where what would take me probably for eight hours to solve.
-
You just enter into one hour of praise, worship and prayer. The ideas
-
will come. It says that, So stick to the basics, stick to
-
the fundamental abiding God always here is a source of your creativity which you need.
-
Wait for His word for your city to wation. Remember, when there
-
is a word, the Holy Spirit will work. It may not meet your
-
intellectual expectation. Hence faith and obedience should come in. We're all people of
-
faith. In you, there is faith. Faith often precede wisdom. Wisdom
-
will tell Peter to stay at the board or inside the board. That's what
-
wisdom will tell you. Wisdom will tell you is you step out of the
-
board, you will sing down the ocean. That's wisdom. And we praise
-
God for wisdom in life. You need wisdom. But when you have heard
-
the word of God as clearly as Peter, Lord, if it's you ask
-
me to come, and the Lord say come, that's when faith takes precedence
-
over your wisdom. Because you did not hear it from anyone, heard it
-
from God. Directly you heard it from his word. Faith comes by hearing
-
and hearing of His word. So don't let your interllectuality. If there's such
-
a word stopping you from experiencing faith in God on his word. Many of
-
you are young as me, sick, Godly counsel. If you need further
-
confirmation, even better, account your journey to a leader who would pray for
-
you, care for you in this journey because there is always always that possibility
-
that we might hurt wrongly. In my twenty years, I can tell you
-
all the good things I've heard and i've seen result. I can tell you
-
also things that I thought I heard but God didn't say, and that usually
-
is an experience that is painful, but we grow from there. That's why
-
we need counsel. That's why we need to open ourselves to our mentors,
-
to disciple us, to speak to us. Amen, give glory when you
-
have seen massive results. Remember always point the glory back to God. Seven.
-
Be humble, very very very important to know that it is never about
-
you. It's about God who have used you to display His glory. Yes
-
it's about you, Yes it's about me as well. I have to work
-
hard. I have to be diligent. I have to be of good reputation
-
at work. I have to have strong self discipline at work because if I
-
don't do my part, God wont use me to do his part. Right,
-
So when I say it's not about you, don't take it literally that
-
it's not about me. So I don't do anything. No, you still
-
have to do your part. But when it comes to getting glory, it's
-
not about you. It's about him. He gets all the glory. You
-
get the story. Okay, buzz I kind of told us, is you
-
get the story? He gets the glory. Amen, Praise God. We
-
hope you've been blessed by this message. For more information on our church,
