  1. You're listening to a message to go from at church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day. The message title is faithfulness. Okay, so

  3. it's still generally thank God. I can still preciate message because it's still Genuary.

  4. I appreciate mysshages in the last Sunday of XPJ. Right, So I've

  5. got a few questions for us this morning. First is how has your twenty

  6. twenty three been? How has it been? Did you manage to do what

  7. you needed to do or not? You know, the start of doing to

  8. the tree. Maybe we had a you know, a New year resolution.

  9. I mean one of my resolutions is I want to lose weight. Okay,

  10. that's my that's my constant resolution. Right. But so far, they say

  11. I've been quite successful. If you follow me on Instagram, I've been going

  12. to the gym. Why because I've been putting myself under open accountability with the

  13. chest plant that I preached in So I I openly account to you today.

  14. I will go to the gym this week on Tuesday. Okay, I openly

  15. account. Okay, you can ask, you can calme, you can get

  16. my number from now don't get You can text me on Instagram and say fastly

  17. when gym or not. Okay, I give you that authority. Okay,

  18. but do you manage do what you needed to do now? Last year?

  19. Maybe you had a goal in the beginning of the year, right, let's

  20. go a bit deeper. Did you manage rule what God asked you to do?

  21. Did God ask you to do something? Were there anything that distracted you?

  22. Did you get stayed off course? Or maybe to be a little bit

  23. deeper, were there any challenges or discouragements which affected you? Do you know

  24. that discouragement is very real. Discouragement can derail you from your destiny. It

  25. can It can derail you. Right. Believe is a very powerful thing.

  26. I'm beginning to realize more and more. If you really believe, you can

  27. turn something that is going downhill around to going uphill if you really believe.

  28. But if you're discouraged, even if everything is going right, it will start

  29. going downhill from then onwards. It's happened to a few different things in the

  30. past years. I've observed it's happened in different areas. I've seen it happen

  31. in people's lives. I've seen it happen in organizations. As I'm moral,

  32. it's very very important for those of you on literallyship. You understand this.

  33. The moment your team's moral go down, the moment is discouragement in your team.

  34. Everything goes downhill. You won't hit your targets, people start complaining,

  35. people start leaving. It's a sinking ship. Not because things are wrong,

  36. or because the process is wrong or not because of that. It's nothing,

  37. just because of discouragement. So as we move on to twenty twenty four,

  38. it's actually good for us. Do you all know that God is a god

  39. of second chances. So I'm bringing these things. I'm not just doing you

  40. feel bad now, okay, because it's for this year. It's a new

  41. year. Hey, you're in January, right, it's a new year,

  42. new year, new you, new things. Okay, Right, even if

  43. you say all about for ten years, you know it's okay, Today's going

  44. to be the year, right, Today's gonna be here. Right. It's

  45. good if you can reflect on what we can do better and what we can

  46. prepare to whether what might happen. Okay, can I prepare you a little

  47. bit for this year? Can I just prepare you this year? Right?

  48. You guys are going to get offended this year. This year. This year,

  49. bad things going to happen to you. I'm not prophesying her. I'm

  50. not prophesying her this year that your loved one's going to hurt you. They

  51. might not mean it, but it's going to happen. This year. Things

  52. are going to go wrong at your work. You're know that, right,

  53. This year you might get a flat tire. Yeah, this year the news

  54. might be bad. Do you know that the ring it just went down.

  55. I don't know how low you will go? You know bad news? Do

  56. we expect it? No? Friends, A lot of things can happen this

  57. year, but that doesn't mean that you can. You need to go with

  58. the floor. You can prepare for what might happen, right. I just

  59. want to highlight this verse in Matthew chapter twenty five. So you got your

  60. bubbles can turn to that Matthew chapter twenty five. What do I mean by

  61. preparation? Well, when you go camping and you didn't prepare, you will

  62. suffer if you go camping. For those of you who go camping, actually

  63. you don't go campingo, so you don't know. If you didn't bring a

  64. ten and you felt like I can sleep under the stars in Malaysia, and

  65. it rains. You will suffer. If you go camping and you didn't bring

  66. insect repellent, you will suffer. If you decided that, hey, I

  67. am not going to bring a sleeping bag, you might suffer. I don't

  68. know sound you like to sleep on hert rock. I don't know. If

  69. you say, hey, I want to go camping three days, two nights

  70. into the jungle, and I'll only bring one can of beans, how many

  71. of you will look at your friend who's preparing all it that way and go,

  72. You're crazier. But then why do we think that we can go through

  73. life not preparing? You know what I mean? I just gave you your

  74. can agree, But I said, all the not so nice things that will

  75. happen is here. Do you know that if you already prepared that it will

  76. happen to you, you can expect it. You know what? Since I'm

  77. going to get offended by Zerbin, I'll be ready to forgive him the moment

  78. he does. Isn't it different than how can he? And then you spend

  79. the next six months wondering why did he do that? But sus the Zamine

  80. is human, He'll make mistake one he can't help him, I can forgive

  81. him. I really prepare my heart to do that. I really prepared my

  82. heart to do that. Don't you think I will be able to spend the

  83. next six months not worrying why he did that? By instead says he's just

  84. a human being, like he's Okla for all. You know that six months

  85. can be different. You know maybe our friendship will go deeper. But because

  86. the one offense become enemies, preparing is very important. So can I share

  87. with you five steps that can help us stay the court as we prepare for

  88. twenty to before we're already in turnitary Four guys, okay, but five things,

  89. five things right that I believe right can help us stay the court.

  90. But before that, let's talk about the Bible. Let's talk about what is

  91. God's expectation over our lives. There's a lot of talk about success, there's

  92. a lot of celebration of success. But I have a study different view when

  93. it comes to what God wants us to do, and it comes from the

  94. parable of the talents right. And this is of course spoken by Jesus.

  95. It says here for the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man traveling to a

  96. far country who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. Okay,

  97. how many of you know this story? Just raise up your hand.

  98. You know this. Sorry, you've heard this before, You've seen this.

  99. Okay, we're not sure what to care? Okay, good. Can you

  100. go back and do some homework and read Menthew chapter twenty five. Can go

  101. and read messagechater five, verse fourteen to thirty. So you can't understand the

  102. story. But I just want to highlight two verses. Okay, I won't

  103. go too deep into it. I just want to highlight two verses. One

  104. verse is one verse is verse twenty one. It says, here his Lord

  105. say to him, well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful

  106. over a few things. I will make you ruler over many things. Enter

  107. into the joy of the Lord. Give you a bit of context. So

  108. he gave three servants one five talents, one tree talents, one one talent

  109. for what, so that they can use it to grow to multiply. You

  110. know, do bestir, do whatever. He didn't even specify what they should

  111. do, right, And he gave each servant according to their ability. And

  112. he's the master. He knows them. He knows them really well. Right.

  113. So what happened was the five talent guy multiplied five talents one hundred percent.

  114. Wow, if you're doing sales, are this is like really good?

  115. Okay, the three talent multiplied a two talent multiplied two more, right,

  116. so that's another hundred percent. But the one talent guy just buried in the

  117. ground. Right, And if we follow the story, the master came back,

  118. and that's what the Master said to the five talent guy. He said,

  119. well done, my good and faithful servant. You are faithful over the

  120. few things. I will make you ruler over many things enter into the job

  121. the lord. Kay, question, who do you think is more power the

  122. five talent or the two talent or one talent. Of course, all of

  123. us here will think the five talent guy, right, because he got five

  124. talents, so he's more power, so he deserves more. Correct. But

  125. when you look at the response of the Master to the guy that had two

  126. talents, he also said the lord, he's not said to him, well

  127. done, good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a few things.

  128. I will make you ruler over many things enter into the job of the

  129. lord. Huh, what come evaluation is this? Well, the way God,

  130. or the way the Lord or the Kingdom of heaven, and says King

  131. of Heaven is what is important to God. The way he operates is different

  132. in the way we operate. We look at quantity. He looks at quality,

  133. right, he looks at one hundred percent. He don't look at Oh

  134. you got five so you better. No, he doesn't, right. And

  135. he celebrated above them the same And what was he celebrating? Well done,

  136. my good and faithful servant. So friends, out of this reading, can

  137. I deduce that God didn't call us to be successful. He called us to

  138. be faithful. He didn't call us to be successful. He called us to

  139. be faithful. Let me give you another design, my owner, my own

  140. reading. And do you know that if God called all of us here to

  141. be successful, we all feel ready. I can tell you I fail because

  142. I don't cal't myself successful because successor might mean a nicer car. I recently

  143. in Hong Kong, everybody's driving Maseratis there. I'm like, oh, that's

  144. a really nice car. And test last, test, last, still can

  145. buy a Maserati? Be hard? You know that's o stick? Can you

  146. know? Uh? Yeah, you know? We okay? If you work

  147. really hard. I I don't drive maserati, you know, so I'm I

  148. don't think i'm. My house is not very big, you know. Do

  149. you know that a lot of us can fall under that category? So if

  150. God really calls to successfuler gone, really a lot of us feel ready.

  151. We cannot keep the sendard. But do you know that if God hold all

  152. of us here to be faithful, all of us can hit the sender.

  153. In fact, I think ninety percent of people here are really hit the sendard

  154. because it's all about faithfulness, non success. You'll follow my chin not.

  155. It's all about being faithful. Yo yo yore, you'll catch it. I

  156. hope you'll catch it. And what he said pull us? What is God

  157. asking you to do? What is God asking us to do? Obey?

  158. Be faithful? All of us can? He did? God is fair?

  159. No, I think how stress it is? None? I don't know whether

  160. and okay maybe not. Maybe maybe Stephani have become like el Mason Dela.

  161. I don't know. Okay, I know I cannot hit it ready, I

  162. ready if if success is measured that way, do you think that God is

  163. so cruel that he will ask us to hit something impossible? He asked us

  164. to be faithful, faithful, right, and the way he defines success is

  165. very different than the way we define success. As all, I think he

  166. considered them successful as well in his definition, not in our definition, because

  167. in our definition we think the five talent is more successful than the two talent

  168. guy, But in God's definition, both of them are good and faithful.

  169. What does it tell me that tells me that we shouldn't compare ourselves with someone

  170. else? I shouldn't compare myself with Stephen Oh my church put big girl for

  171. what such a waste of time? Right? I should be focused on what

  172. is God asking me to do and how I can be more fiitful to him

  173. rather than comparing all these things, comparing how big the car we drive,

  174. comparing you know, all these things. Let's get that perspective right first,

  175. because if we don't get that perspective right, I can give you these five

  176. points you be chasing after other things. But if we have the right perspective,

  177. Wow, I think we can say the cost. I think at the

  178. end of twenty twenty four we can say, Yep, I've achieved all the

  179. stuff that Got asked me to achieve. Can I give you another encouragement.

  180. Okay, sort of encouragement. Now, do you know that the bar that

  181. the master had was very low? But paseowen. He just celebrated one hundred

  182. percent return. Okay, one hundred percent return. Yes, but do you

  183. know that his bar is very low, because that's why he told the last

  184. seven he told the last servern. Now, hey, even if you have

  185. put this in the ban and do nothing, you know, just put in

  186. a bank and letting an interest, I would have accepted it. How much

  187. is bang percentage of interest? Okay? Bank interest? I don't know how

  188. long is this time? Maybe it's maybe fix it even that also, it's

  189. like maybe about four five percent, right, even for five percent? Now

  190. I will accept. And he might still say, my God, but but

  191. nah, you did nothing. You dig the ground, you put it inside,

  192. you left it there, actually digging ground. So his effort. Now,

  193. the bye is very low. Guys, So don't think that oh I

  194. need to no, no, no, the bye is very low. Please

  195. start somewhere. What is God asking you to do this year? Amen?

  196. So don't measure your success to others. Don't you will be as stressed out

  197. I did it before, very stressful. Okay, measure it to what God

  198. is entrusting to you. Amen. Every person is different and we are running

  199. our own race. We are all of us. Ye are running our race?

  200. Okay? In short, don't compare and don't covert someone else's life or

  201. wife. You're didn't get joke, It's fine. So let's go five steps

  202. to help us stay the court as we prepare for twenty twenty four. Are

  203. you guys? Okay? So number one focus on the lot target? What's

  204. your target? Right? Target? And he talks about purpose you know,

  205. and begin I'm beginning to see more and more how the word purpose is more

  206. important than anything else. Purpose is more important than happiness. A lot of

  207. people are chasing after happiness in his life. But you go for the high,

  208. you go for the happy, You go for the experience, and then

  209. after that you look for the next experience. But do you know, once

  210. you find your purpose, even you go through difficult time, you still stick

  211. to your purpose because there's significance there. So what is your target? So

  212. can we use this year on what God asks you to do? And really,

  213. honestly, if you don't know what God has asked you to do,

  214. then maybe it's time to ask him. Maybe it's time to pray, Maybe

  215. it's time to read his word, go into his word? Right. I

  216. believe, I believe, I believe that all of you here can listen to

  217. God. That's why I believe it cannot be here that God Jesus come here

  218. all this world, Uh hand over the plans, his plans to chough random

  219. guys that he calls his disciples, So then next time only the church leaders

  220. can hear God. I don't believe in that. I believe that anybody who

  221. asks God, God will speak to them. So I'm gonna encourage you today.

  222. Can you ask God? What, Lord? What what are you wanting

  223. me to and my family to do this year? What are you wanting me

  224. to do this year for you? What is it you know? Ask him?

  225. Right? Do you know that Jesus, who was very focused on when

  226. his father, what his father entrusted him with, even when it became very

  227. hot, meant you twenty six thirty nine, It says he went a little

  228. father and fell on his face and prayed, saying, Oh, my father,

  229. if it is possible, let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless,

  230. not as I will, but as you will. This this little scenario or

  231. history in the Bible, Jesus was praying in the garden of Gasemone. He

  232. was doing his devotion. You know. The other interesting thing that I've learned

  233. through reading the Word is that before any key thing that Jesus does, he

  234. prayed. What so, even when we encourage you to do that, Jesus

  235. did it. Do you know that before he chose his disciples, he prayed,

  236. He had his quiet time, he prayed, before he chose the chelve

  237. disciples. That's what he did. Before any key event, he prayed.

  238. So I'm like, wow, Lord, when I do it, I'm following

  239. after you. Before any key event. This what was the key event in

  240. this era. The key event was he was going to be betrayed by Judas.

  241. They were going to send him to the Sanhaarin and they're going to crucify

  242. him. It's like the biggest thing. For one hour, he prayed,

  243. and his disciples slept outside until he had to score them. Couldn't even pray

  244. for one hour with me, Okay, but he kept it. He said,

  245. Oh, my father, if it's possible, let this cup pass from

  246. me. You know, we think, oh Jesus were powerful, He's very

  247. you know great. You know he will whether do you know that he had

  248. second thoughts on whether he wanted to dine across words or not. He was

  249. in the gardens, Guy SEMONI The whole one hour prayer was God, why

  250. me? Some words have prayed? I pray before Lord? Why me?

  251. Please let this car pass away from me? You know, someone take it

  252. right? Passing to Stephen. I don't want, but thank God, he

  253. said, nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will. Not

  254. as I will, but as you will. Friends, life it's not easy.

  255. Life is not easy. But we've got to be faithful. We've got

  256. to chase the right things. We've got to know what's important. Amen.

  257. He's not easy, right, It takes effort, But thank god Jesus stuck

  258. to his guns. If he said, okay, God, get my father

  259. right, maybe Peter can do it. And we all know that that probably

  260. won't happen. Even if he said, I'm sure Peter's I'm willing Lord,

  261. but he's a simple man. Right. But thank God, Jesus followed true.

  262. How many of us here understands that following true? I'm sure parents here

  263. understanding. Although it's hard, you follow true, Although it's difficult you follow

  264. true because you know what he says, sick. You know how to sacrifice,

  265. You know how to be faithful, even though it's difficult. But focus.

  266. See, if you have a very clear purpose, then it's easier because

  267. you know the purpose. But when you got no purpose, when you don't

  268. know why you're doing what you're doing, you know, sometimes even in church,

  269. it can be that you don't know why you're doing what you're doing,

  270. you will lose Steve very FASTA. So you got to know why? Why?

  271. Why are we here? Why am I serving every week? You got

  272. to know that. Oh, just because Steven asks me to do it,

  273. it's not good enough. Friends, He's a nice guy, but the moment

  274. he offer you, you don't do it anymore. Why is God putting you

  275. here? What is the purpose? Ask him? La? Okay, relationia

  276. coming out of here? Asking him second point? Oh, and I tried

  277. to put everything in teas by you can see that I'm not a linguist.

  278. Last so you'll see very fast that my tea is not working. So second

  279. point is the hana. It means stay the course, persevere James one two

  280. four says my brethren, counting all joy. When you fall into various trials,

  281. knowing that the testing of your faith produces patients. But let patients have

  282. this perfect work that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Wow,

  283. guys, are you happy to be Christians? When you're going to trouble

  284. the Bible saying? Be happy? Such a STRUTIONI right? Your leader tell

  285. you that is that? What? Yeah? But counting all joy? Why?

  286. Because the testing of your faith? What is being tested your faith?

  287. Why are you doing it because of your faith? Don't because of anything else.

  288. That's why you see. If it is not built on your faith,

  289. it will fall and fail. But if it is built on your faith.

  290. Gabriel was tested? Good do you say an example? Okay, he was

  291. tested his faith. I went for the interview, But do not all say

  292. no? Then I start the doubting myself. God, You're really there?

  293. What is being tested? His faith? But he held on? He saw

  294. God come true? Right, But let patients have this perfect work that you

  295. may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. However, you hear on to

  296. like nothing? Be happy when you got problems. Eventually you like nothing,

  297. So persist and persevere even if it's difficult. Do you know that you cannot

  298. build anything lasting without time and investment. Do you know that, Stephen,

  299. When did Exemne? You start? What year? Eight years? Wow?

  300. So we just started four years? Then you guys start the eight years.

  301. So friends, what you see here is eight years of work and investment.

  302. It's not one year. Eight years of trying to figure it out, eight

  303. years of encouraging people, eight years of soling, eight years of different ones.

  304. You're being fitful, and I'm sure there are set stories. So people

  305. getting angry, people moving on is fine. God's children. God will take

  306. care of them. But I'm sure, I'm sure God people come to Steven.

  307. Stephen, I don't believe in it. I don't believe in this.

  308. I don't know. I don't understand what you're doing. Got the night before

  309. I tell you this story, I remember I had to solve like not had

  310. Toula, you know again seeing things that God is asking you see. So

  311. I saw similarly, like some minute I saw that there were a group of

  312. students coming from Seggi in Kota Da Mansara to bj right. There was a

  313. group of them from four to more like ten to fifteen. The I'm like,

  314. you know, okay, uh, maybe we should do something because you

  315. want to reach out to students right and uh and and I'm in long story

  316. shot. I saw like dig no pascna a little bit. I took my

  317. own sweet time. And then six months later he said better do something.

  318. I'm like, okay, let me start homes. So I started homes there

  319. right, and only six of them said they will be okay, we will

  320. come for these homes. In fact, all the sex they say past selven,

  321. I want to come for the homes, but I still want to go

  322. to my homes because homes happening. Ma. You know got food there.

  323. You know, campus homes a bit different. Okay, our homes was awesomeler.

  324. I won't go through much into details. I even had one of them

  325. come to me and say, in my facer Passelwen, you know what this

  326. thing I don't believe in it. All these just bunding thing homes. I

  327. don't believe in it. Now look at it. Besides it's okay, you

  328. don't need to believe in it. I will believe you. Just come and

  329. then he like uh. Then they asked me this question by savin, what

  330. if you're graduate, then how a look at them? Well, if you

  331. graduate, I would still be here. What to do ce bc MA,

  332. that's the that's the job, you know we sign up for. And then

  333. they're like, okay, friends, I won't go to machine the details.

  334. But two weeks later after that person said, I don't believe in it,

  335. let me not pass it. Even so good homes? Can you train us

  336. or trainers train us? Have to do homestare I'm like, okay, I

  337. didn't say I told you, so you know I did it. I just

  338. like, oh, okay, yeah, sure, let's train you up.

  339. But I used that that story often. Of course, this person is one

  340. of our you know, partners, and we laugh about And after that it

  341. grew and grew friends. Not because I'm here, I'm no one, because

  342. God wanted to do something and I was just faithful. I was just faiful.

  343. Out of that, so many young adults came out that some are still

  344. serving in the church today. Amen, So persevere, right, persevere.

  345. Do you know that Paul ran his race second Timothy four six eight, For

  346. I'm already poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure

  347. is at hand. I thought the good fight, I finished a race.

  348. I've kept the faith. Finally there is laid up for me. The crown

  349. of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will give to me

  350. on that day, and not to me only, but also to all who

  351. have loved disappearing. So the Han, guys hand this year the Han?

  352. Okay, persevere. It's tough. Persevere, amen. But you know,

  353. of course I shared that bad things have happened. But how do you be

  354. discourage proof? Do you know that you can be discourage proof? I mentioned

  355. about discouragement being real. Do you know they can be discarachful? How do

  356. you do that? Well? We can be thankful, we can be pleased.

  357. Please do you want James one two says my brethren, county all joy

  358. when you fall into various trials. We need to love. We need to

  359. rejoice in persecution. Let's turn to James chapter one, and then we'll go

  360. deeper. Amen, I guys, okay, so James chapter one vers Chapter

  361. twenty. I hope this will really happens, he says. YEA blessed is

  362. the man who ended your temptation. For when he has been approved, he

  363. will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to choose to

  364. those who love him. Let no one say when he is tempted. I

  365. am tempted by God. For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does

  366. he himself time anyone. But each one is tempted when he's drawn away by

  367. his own desires and entires. Then, when the desire has conceived, it

  368. gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is full grown, brings

  369. forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift

  370. and perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of Lights,

  371. with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning of his own will.

  372. He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a

  373. kind of first ruts of his creatures. So, then, my beloved brethren,

  374. let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to

  375. wrath, for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

  376. Wow. A lot to unpack here, But I will just go something simple.

  377. When we are under trial, when we're under challengers, do we still

  378. love God? This tells us to love God under trials, to know that

  379. He's still there for us, to know that when bad things happen, you

  380. know all bad things happen. You knows because I've seen it. Friends,

  381. can you please read this scripture. He says here, right, let no

  382. one say when he is tempted, I am tempted by God. For God

  383. cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he himself temp anyone. Even if

  384. you read the Book of Job, God wasn't the one that casts all the

  385. bad things on Job. He was the devil. Right, So we need

  386. to have the right perspective of God because every good gift is from him,

  387. and every perfect give is from him. And there's no variation of shadow of

  388. turning. It's a very flowery way to just say. God won't shout change

  389. you when you trust in him, when you follow in his ways right,

  390. when you rely on him, he will not change short change you. But

  391. you've got to obey and be faithful. That is our God. And if

  392. we want to be careful, well, we've got to be swift to hear,

  393. slow to speak, slow to wrap. You want to be at peace,

  394. learn those things. That's something I'm learning as well. When we go

  395. to challenges, be swift to hear, hear what not hear people talk?

  396. You know, what do you say about Stephen? Now? But do you

  397. please don't do that? Do you know that gossip can destroy a lot of

  398. things. So don't don't get into that. Don't get into that. Right,

  399. Stay to hear God, slow to speak, slow to rough, rough

  400. means for angry la. You know. Not easy. I got tell people

  401. before that I have an anger issue. Li since younger time, I'm learning.

  402. I'm still learning. Right, not easy, but remember to do that.

  403. Don't be so quick to take action when suddening happens. Learn to wait

  404. on the Lord. Learn to go to God first before you go to men.

  405. Right, there's something we learn here. Amen. I know I don't

  406. have a lot of time life. Okay, so that's tree. So how

  407. do we discouraged proof? Well? Be thankful? The Bible teaches us to

  408. be thankful. Do you know that in your life? No matter how bad

  409. your life is, Our guys, I believe that you can always give thanks

  410. to God for at least one thing. Can you please focus on it one

  411. thing. Don't compare, I just share. Don't compare. You compare.

  412. You can compare with everybody, right, don't compare. Be thankful. Then

  413. you won't feel so said. Actually, then you won't think that you're like

  414. no, because you can give thanks because really, really, guys, in

  415. life there's always someone out there there's worse than this one. Always. I'm

  416. not saying you should compare with them, but I'm just saying that, you

  417. know, be very very careful how you view things. Amen to more points.

  418. What else we need to do to stay the course, Well, we

  419. need to learn to take time outs. We need to learn to pause,

  420. We need to learn to take time to rest and reflect. This one.

  421. I think the more advanced people or senior people, we understand. I'm learning

  422. that now more and more. But for those of you who are a bit

  423. younger and you've got so much lifer, it might be harder for you because

  424. all about go go go, or do doo doo doo, you know.

  425. But you know, we got to learn to take a time out and reflect,

  426. you know, not rest like or don't do anything. I'm just gonna

  427. netflix and chill. No no, no, no, let's not ask you

  428. to do If that helps you in the first fifteen minutes, go lad,

  429. But after that we got to reflect. Okay, am I still staying the

  430. cost? You know, reflection is very powerful. Don't reflect at the end

  431. of the year, maybe you need to have rest days. You know,

  432. even God, even God stopped at the seven day and say, Wow,

  433. everything is good. He reflected on his word. Right, that's why we

  434. have the Sabbath that I know the Jews keep really really really religiously, but

  435. they don't just keep the seventh. Don't do anything it's supposed to help them

  436. reflect Amen, some refactor, and he still say it's cast your burden on

  437. the lot, and he shall sustain you. He shall never permit the righteous

  438. to be moved. First feed the five five to seven says, in the

  439. same way, you who are younger, submit yourself to your elders, all

  440. of you yourselves with humility, to work one another. Because God opposes the

  441. proud, but chose favor to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under God's mighty

  442. hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Wow, and

  443. I love this. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

  444. Are you anxious today? Are you worried about things? Are you worried

  445. about how to need? It is going to be yourself? And you just

  446. told me that all the bad things are going to happen to me. Can

  447. you cast your anxiety on him just because he cares for you, no other

  448. reason? Not? Sometimes we think that there's expectation. No God cares.

  449. He is as simple as that. That's not complicate life. So if you

  450. overcomplicate life, you know, but actually life is quite simple one amen.

  451. Now, of course the famous scripture, come to me, all you who

  452. labor, and I hay you laden. I will give you rests. Take

  453. my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I'm gentle and lowly in

  454. heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my young is

  455. easy and my burden is like ress. I believe and I've learned. It

  456. is very important, especially when you you know full steam ahead, right.

  457. I always learned to take time to rest after a major thing that happened.

  458. It's a very good to do that. Two years ago, either really major

  459. thing that happened with my family, I'm not sure that I shared it here

  460. about my mom, and then she passed on. And then after everything was

  461. done, I was like, you know what, we need to go for

  462. a family holiday. So I told my wife, my kids, my dad.

  463. We just went to chill somewhere. It was very good because after that

  464. we started planning and started rebuilding. You know, we need to learn to

  465. rest when else is rest needed. Well, friends to be rare honest.

  466. When you start falling sick, then you need to recity every time. Someone

  467. Again, when I say fall sick, don't say oh I got COVID A

  468. poor sick? No no no. If something you rest too much, let's

  469. not go okay okay, not good, not good. But you again me.

  470. If you've been working so hard and your body starts shutting down, then

  471. you need to take a break so that you can adjust. Amen. Right,

  472. people do not take rest. You know you talk about serving? Can

  473. I give you something I believe in. I don't believe in things as burnout.

  474. I don't believe in it. Right and no. Sometimes ministry they like

  475. to use this word burn out. You know I'm serving? How you know?

  476. I mean? Sorry, I know I'm making fun of it, but

  477. it's not so good. But I don't believe in it because I believe that

  478. the Lord will refresh us. It's a promise in his word that he will

  479. give us a river of living water that were our poor up or not just

  480. feel us, but also upon the people around us. Now. So,

  481. if we have not been felled, what have we been pouring out to people?

  482. Leaders? If you have not been filed, what are you giving.

  483. Don't hide behind the ministry, be ministered too. And then you give,

  484. and then God will give you rest. He will he will give you wisdom

  485. and when to rest. Talk to your leader. I'm sure little understand if

  486. you need rest, right, rest is so important, and he helps us

  487. to reflect. Okay, I think a bit of ten generally, and you'll

  488. come back reflecting and resting. And of course finally, how do we stay

  489. the court? Well, we got to learn to celebrate milestones. I think

  490. I don't know. Maybe it's an Asian thing in us, right, every

  491. time we say something good with you know Chinese, especially Nola, Nola.

  492. You know, my son is very like that one or my you know,

  493. when you go out and people say your son is good. No, no,

  494. my son aroma. He's of course at home he's like that loud,

  495. right. But we got to learn to celebrate things toast. Okay, we

  496. need to learn to celebrate more. You know, it's more about perspectives.

  497. At the end of the day, what do you see? Do you see

  498. doba and gloom or do you see God in a picture? When I come

  499. here, I see God in the picture always. But you can come here

  500. and say you're so small this church plan not happening at all, you know,

  501. so why people here like look funny, you get me. It's all

  502. about your perspective, you know, it's all about your perspective in life.

  503. Right do you see do you believe? Or you only see doing groom?

  504. Oh oh it's me or Malaysia is like that? Oh you know? Do

  505. you know that? I love Malaysia wherever I go. I just came back

  506. from Hong Kong, Guys, I just came back. I still love Malaysia.

  507. Nowhere in the world you can come and you can have like multiple different

  508. kinds of foods, sir. Nowhere Hong Kong is one type one right,

  509. and it's not as it's a bit blend lah Okay, I mean it's a

  510. good place. Malaysia is unique. It's so unique. I know a lot

  511. of people complain about our health care, but I believe and because I've experienced

  512. it, our health care is one of the best in the world. Why

  513. why best? Because it's cheap. It's good cheap, guys. Really sounds

  514. okay, my wife is not. Yeah, no, it is really cheap

  515. affordable. Sorry, nice nicer way to say, it's very very affordable.

  516. Okay, really it's very affordable. Okay, I won't go to them into

  517. that, but but if you compare other places, it's tough. Right,

  518. Militia is a great place. It is all about your perspective. It is

  519. all about your perspective. Amen. Some tree says, blessed a lot o

  520. my soul and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Some

  521. six says, Oh, give thanks to the Love, for he is good,

  522. for his mercy and yours forever. What is our perspective to our God?

  523. What is our perspective to our God? Do you know that if we

  524. don't know how to celebrate, we won't be able to be thankful. So

  525. you gotta celebrate? Okay? What can you celebrate about your life that?

  526. I'm sure there are things that you can celebrate about in your life. Yes,

  527. it's not there yet, Yes it's not perfect. Yes there are things

  528. that are not working out. But I'm sure there's at least one thing you

  529. can celebrate your family. Maybe you've got to look at it at the different

  530. lens. Right, Let's learn to celebrate a man and I'll endwy this.

  531. You know, God is doing a great work in our lives. This is

  532. my firm belief right, he is. If you're here and you are a

  533. believer, you have received Jesus as your personal law and savior. The Holy

  534. Spirit is working in your life today. It doesn't matter how many years of

  535. christian you are. It doesn't matter whether you're not you are, you have

  536. a tittle of a pastor, it doesn't matter. The Holy Spirit is working

  537. in your life. So work with him, go against him. Right.

  538. The Holy Spirit is working. The Holy Spirit is perfecting you. And when

  539. you are involved in church, when you're involved in serving, where you're involved

  540. in all these things, there is by the way, guys on the Bible,

  541. Bible go right or no X chapter to go ahead, read that after

  542. the first believers got safe, what did they do right? Discipleship is big.

  543. We believe in that here in acts, and I've seen how many people

  544. have grown because of disciper ship. But it takes submission, It takes humility

  545. to be discipled. Right. But the Holy Spirit is doing a work in

  546. your lives. He's doing a great work. So don't shot change yourself,

  547. don't be wary to do good, don't be impatient, but trust in God

  548. and know that He's got sums for the sixth ten says be still and know

  549. that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will

  550. be exalted in the earth. You know, the last time, when I

  551. was younger, I don't really understand these words. Huh. Be still means

  552. tand and do nothing? Is they God? No? You know I give

  553. you this scenario when the Bible says, be still and no, I'm not

  554. gotten. I'm talking your parent going to a tough time. You also got

  555. some back. Challenge your God, your God. You got to be still

  556. and know that God can come true for you. Don't run left, don't

  557. run right, don't be unsure, don't let your faith waver. You experience

  558. your miracle. Be still. God will prove himself to you. Be faithful,

  559. be consistent, Be still, and God will move. When you're not

  560. still. We are looking for other things. How are wish? Doctor will?

  561. We will do all these things. But when we are still and say,

  562. Lord, you come true for me. I'm not being still for no

  563. reason. Lord, you come true for me. I'm still praying, I'm

  564. still believing, but you come true for me. I've done all that I

  565. can do already. And then that's where the scripture says Serbin. Be still

  566. and know that I am God. I am God, I will come true,

  567. I am God, I will heal. I am God. All these

  568. scriptures in the Bible are promises. We can claim amen. If not now,

  569. it's our own work. It's our own work. Still and know themn

  570. God Roman child one to to says I beseech you there for brethren, by

  571. the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice wholly acceptable

  572. to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to

  573. this world. That's very important. No, No, I know a lot

  574. of people now are we watch TikTok, we watch social media, we watch

  575. other opinions. There's this word going around, right, I've been going around

  576. for all deconstructing my faith. People are using that word now, you know.

  577. I'm like, what does that mean? Jesus is the rock? Really?

  578. What else you need to deconstruct? The Bible is here for many years.

  579. Really, I don't understand it's so much confusion. Don't be conformed to

  580. the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you

  581. may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God? Do

  582. you know what we need to prove today to the world. The only proof

  583. we need is that this works and Jesus is real. We don't improve anything

  584. else. This works and Jesus is real. That is the proof. And

  585. when our minds are renewed, and when we grow as believe us, and

  586. when we go deeper in the world and we go deeper in our experience with

  587. God. I tell you last time. I use gabr an example. It

  588. is an encouraging testimony. But he knows in his heart of hearts that God

  589. is the one that opened the door for him. Do you think anyone can

  590. convince him otherwise? Cannot know. He knows. You can say all you

  591. want to say, but I know God did this for me, And I

  592. also know he did this for me because I went through trouble. It didn't

  593. come easy because Yalla, you're so good, Lae, you're exams so good,

  594. you are no wonder what you see. Humans like to think that way.

  595. The world thinks that way. But he has proof that God is real

  596. and we're trusting him for your career. He'll come true for you. What

  597. other proof we have as believers? What more testimonies that will come out of

  598. your own life? Here. If you say, God, I'm here,

  599. show me and show up. Twenty twenty four is gonna be an interesting year.

  600. I am excited. I don't know what's gonna happen, Guys, can

  601. I be honest, I don't know what's gonna happen, but what I'm seeing,

  602. I'm excited. B c C was exciting. I followed past the can

  603. off there for the wrekie and I was like, the amount of favor we

  604. have from the manager is mind blowing. She actually said, I love for

  605. king. It's just but she's never it's just for the venue before. And

  606. We're like, huh, wow, Lord you opened the door for us now,

  607. not our uncle or auntie or that thought. No, no, Lord,

  608. you open the door. So I'm excited. I wonder what will happen

  609. in our church. We've gone through a challenging twenty twenty three, but this

  610. year is going to be a good year. Amen. This year's going to

  611. be a good for all of you. I declare Amen. We hope you've

  612. been blessed by this message. For more information on our church, please visit
