  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your tea. So today the God who sees and we're gonna

  3. look at the life of Hagar Genesis sixteen. It's a very interesting chapter,

  4. and you know there's a whole wonder hold message that you could we could share

  5. on on the life of SARAHI and Abraham before they became Abraham and Sara Rah.

  6. All right. So we're looking at Genesis chapter sixteen, and I'm focusing

  7. on this this maid servant called Hagar. All right. So I'm gonna read

  8. this with you and then break it down a little bit. I just really

  9. want to encourage our as I read this, and I thought, whoa,

  10. this is so good for us and seasons when we're going through different things,

  11. let us remember, you know the God that we serve, who is he?

  12. Amen? Okay? Where you go with me to Genesis chapter sixteen or

  13. reading from verse one. I just thought'd being nice to read the whole thing

  14. and then we can break it down. Here we go verse one. Now

  15. SARAHI, not Sarayah, SARAHI Abram Okay, before he became Abraham. So

  16. Sarah Abram's wife had borne him no children, and she had an Egyptian maid

  17. servant whose name was Hagar. All right, And so Sarah said to Abram,

  18. see, now the Lord has restrained me from bearing children. Please go

  19. to my maid. Perhaps I shall obtain children by her. And Abram never

  20. said no. He went in. Did you do her? All right?

  21. So Abraham he did, the voice of Sarah said, oh, yes,

  22. some okay, all right. And then SARAHI, Abram's wife, took Aigaha

  23. maid and the Egyptian and gave it to a husband Abram, to become his

  24. wife. This is second wife. Now Abram should never have done it,

  25. because he knew God's promise. So after Abraham and gave it to his wife.

  26. After Abraham had dwell ten years in the land of Canaan, the land

  27. of Canaan, Abram was dwelling what he is now known as Israel, the

  28. little piece of land there it is Canaan. So God had already given the

  29. land to Abraham, which is the father of all Israel, all Israel.

  30. So our friend Abraham, Abram, do do do? Agar went into her

  31. and knock, knock, who's there? She conceived and when she saw that

  32. she had conceived. Her mistress became despised in her eyes, you know,

  33. probably like Nana na. I can't, can't, and you Khan, Khan,

  34. Khan, you know. And then Sarah said to Abram in verse five,

  35. my wrong. I see this is what the wife sometimes do a wife,

  36. so I know. The Sarah said to Abraham, my wrong be upon

  37. you. I gave my maid into your embrace. And when she saw that

  38. she had conceived, I became despised in her eyes. The Lord judge between

  39. you and me for Abram. And Abraham said to Sarah, indeed, this

  40. is your maid. He's in your hands. Due to her as you please.

  41. And when Sarah dealt harshly with her, Hagar fled from a presence.

  42. Verse seven. Now the Angel of the Lord. Look at your verse.

  43. It is a capital l O r D. The Angel of the Lord found

  44. her by a spring of water, could be in little oasis in the wilderness,

  45. by the spring on the way to Sure. Everybody says, sure,

  46. can't remember that word. I will come back to it later. And sure,

  47. he said, Hagar, Sarah's maid, where have you come from?

  48. And where where are you going? She said, I am fleeing from the

  49. presence of my mistress Sarah. And the Angel of the Lord said to her,

  50. of all things, return to your mistress and submit yourself under her hand.

  51. And the Angel of the Lord said to her, I will multiply your

  52. descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude. And the

  53. Angel of the Lord said to her, behold, you are with child.

  54. You shall bear a son, and you shall call his name Ishmael. And

  55. Ishmael means because the Lord has heard your affliction. Running down to verse thirteen.

  56. Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her. You

  57. are the God who sees, For she said, I have also seen Have

  58. I also seen him who sees me? The God who sees is in the

  59. Hebrew el Roy el Roy l is God Roy sees el Roy. And therefore

  60. the well was called Pierre LAHARROI observed it is between Kadesh and Baret. And

  61. so Hega born Abram a son an Abraham named Abram named the sun Ishmael.

  62. All right, all right, the praise God for the reading of his word.

  63. Here we go. We have a story here, drama mingo inning.

  64. All right, So this is the wife Sarah. Now it is in the

  65. Eastern culture, it's not uncommon. It is not common now, but in

  66. the Eastern culture it is not uncommon where the mistress has a helper made.

  67. And then you might wondering why does she have an Egyptian made. Well,

  68. likely when they left Egypt, Abram and Sarah left Egypt, the pharaoh might

  69. have given them, you know, a servant or you know, because God

  70. said, God told the people of Issuel, when you leave Egypt, you

  71. ask your neighbor hand me the money. Here. Can't put your hands up

  72. and hand me the money. So you know, go leave Egypt with with

  73. something. And that's there was God's word to them. And so they all

  74. left with something. And the Egyptians said, take it, take take take

  75. it all, because we are all dying here. The firstborn was dying so

  76. many plagues. Please leave your curse to us. Leave and as they left

  77. it to everything. So maybe the Egyptian maid was given to her, and

  78. so she had she has this maid. So in the Eastern culture it is

  79. not uncommon that the mistress would have a maid, and then when they cannot

  80. have children, they would they would have the helper like saragateler, you know,

  81. have the baby for them. At the point of giving birth the mother.

  82. The mistress would then lie next to the mother as they give birth,

  83. the child would be placed on her like her own. So it is part

  84. of the culture thing. That's why she's like, so they take my wife

  85. and all that, right. So, but the joke was I'm singing here

  86. like poor like was it poor Abrahm? Or like yay, yummy, can

  87. get another girl? Do you do her? And then later Sarah gets upset,

  88. and like a lot of wives when we get upset, you're like my

  89. husband, my husband's a fall. And then Abraham like, oh man,

  90. they cannot deal with these kind of things. They were like, wife,

  91. it is your problem. Just deal with it, La, deal with it,

  92. La, you know, And it was so much things to think about

  93. her. You're mean to deal with your hand, mister, you made your

  94. handmaiden. No, no, no, your hand you're mister, you are

  95. the boss. You're hand a Littlah because men don't want to deal with complications.

  96. It's complicated, So LUGGI, this is on my wife. Are you

  97. you just doing it? La? So there's a whole story there, because

  98. you know that they had a little They had a boy called Ishmael and you

  99. know, Ishmael's a beautiful name. It means the Lord. It's hurt,

  100. my affliction. What a great name. You know you name that child.

  101. It's not a bad name. But until today, because they fail to trust

  102. God. If you look back at chapter twelve, you look back at chapter

  103. fifteen, God had given a promise to Abram, and he could have just

  104. stood his ground and said, no, I'm not taking this wife because God

  105. has a promise. God has a promise just one chapter before. Already God

  106. said I will make you an exceedingly people, Ta da da will bless you.

  107. And he said, yes, amen. It was accounted to him as

  108. righteousness. And yet the next chapter of Frank was like, mom, belam

  109. fire. He takes a girl, all right, Daddy con said to to

  110. do, and then they have this child, and now they have an Ishmael

  111. in our lives. Be careful, friends, don't give birth to Ishmael's.

  112. They were never meant to happen. As if we should never have an Ishmail,

  113. it'll be a problem to you for the rest of your life. It

  114. is so for us until today because of the sons of Ishmael. So real

  115. problem, real problem. But God still comes true. All right, and

  116. yes, he makes a plan for us. So remember when God told you

  117. something, don't go and help God to have some baby love, because suddenly

  118. you get an extra VAP you don't need. And then forever you're stuck with

  119. the Ishmael in your hand instead of a child of promise Isaac. And that's

  120. a problem. So there's a whole other message for another day, all right,

  121. So just hingin dere Okay, we're gonna look at Hagar. And so

  122. you know, Heygar lived with Abram and Sarah. She observed them. They

  123. were people who worship God. Yeah wah, and and she would have seen

  124. how God moved. And then and then this husband and wife was so bad

  125. to her, you know, the Sarah going mistreat her maybe you know's call

  126. her and do this and do that. And then suddenly, you know,

  127. because she had the baby she didn't like. I think she despises me.

  128. I didn't do whatever, and maybe she I don't know if she hit her

  129. or whatever. Last quarter. He was just evil a right, And so

  130. it was so good in something that Heygar decides to run away. What a

  131. bad testimony. If you have a helper in your house, don't be a

  132. bad testimony. Okay, you must be kind to your helper or whoever God

  133. gives us, our staff, our team. We must try our best to

  134. be kind because not good testimony, because God is so good to abram Ah.

  135. Another day for another message. But anyway, Hagar runs away, She

  136. flees, and where does she go? She runs away? Uh, this

  137. is this is Canaan. This is Canaan. Canaan Lan is here. Let's

  138. say Canaan Lan is here, not the book shopper. Canaan Lani is here,

  139. Canaan, land of Canaan. She flees and she goes on the way.

  140. Where does she go to? She's actually heading back to Egypt. So

  141. she's in the wilderness road called Sure all the way back to Egypt. I'm

  142. telling you it's not easy. She could die, she could be eaten by

  143. wild bees. Someone could kidnap her. I don't know. This is this

  144. is desert land. You know how the sand changes when the winds blow.

  145. Today the sign post is you tomorrow it's gone. I don't know how did

  146. she make it to today? Or is this even? You know? It's

  147. got a miracle. And then God meets her there the Angel of the l

  148. r D Capitol the angel of the Lord and the word lord. Here is

  149. the word Donai. All right, the God who sees me is my title.

  150. Okay, all right, I'm going very fast. Now I'm mixing,

  151. I'm leaving all my okay. So the story of that I'm telling you now.

  152. So she found by the Lord, the Lord lawd denotes to us that

  153. it is a Dounai. And it's not just any angel. It's not Gabriel.

  154. It's not Angel Gabriel's not Angel Michael, but the Lord himself, because

  155. the word denotes is Aduni. Aduni is the Lord of lords, and he's

  156. the master and the king. You know this, Our father God came and

  157. spoke to her in the middle of this wilderness on the way to shore.

  158. And uh and he speaks to her. All right. So the whole,

  159. the whole deal is that there was there's God speaking to her. He asked

  160. two questions. So this is the thing God never gives us answers, just

  161. like that. Remember when Adam and Eve sin and he said where are you?

  162. He of course he knows where I is. But Adam had to say,

  163. a naked and I'm wearing some leaves. I go. I don't know,

  164. you know, and and you know it helps us to speak, reflect

  165. answer truthfully. Where are you at? So? Where are you? Where

  166. did you come from? And where are you going? Hey, God only

  167. answers one of the questions. I'm running away. That's it, full stop

  168. for my mistress. She couldnot answer question number two. Likely she had no

  169. idea where she was going. She couldn't reflect on that question. But yet

  170. God answer that question. And she just said I can't and I'm going.

  171. And the Lord then says to her, return to your mistress of all things,

  172. return and suck me someone or suck me yourself under her hand. Oh

  173. like, go back to all right, go back to that woman. How

  174. But that's what the Lord said to her. I think it was God's provision

  175. that he met her in the middle of the wilderness and actually to tell her

  176. to go back, because some commentary says she she lightly would die in the

  177. wilderness because I told you it's wild bees, it's the same and storm,

  178. desert, no fix lies, no police to tell you this is this is

  179. the way to Egypt. No, No, he's just everybody knew as a

  180. wilderness on the way to Sure and sure will lead you to Egypt. So

  181. I don't know, but you know. She then says, she calls the

  182. name of the Lord. You are the God who sees me. This is

  183. an Egyptian woman. She doesn't worship God. She are the God who sees

  184. me. I have seen you. I have seen you, Elroy. I

  185. want to ask today and I want to encourage you. The God who sees

  186. you, it's very much alive. He sees you in all of your needs.

  187. Amen, it's it's it's really amazing that that God actually sees us where

  188. we are. And do you know, did you know? I mean,

  189. maybe you've read this before. She's the only person in the Bible that has

  190. ever given God a name. Every other's was given a place a name,

  191. beth L or this is the place beth L House of God place. But

  192. this is the only woman in the Bible, only person that actually says to

  193. God, you are el Roy, the God who sees me. No other,

  194. no other in the Bible. Is so special. And he was an

  195. Egyptian woman. It took a pre believer to say to God, you see

  196. me, and I see you. I want to encourage us. God sees

  197. you wherever you are at. He's the God who knows your heart. Cry,

  198. and she calls that place as well, the well of the living one

  199. who sees me, and be encouraged that God sees you. He always sees

  200. you. Amen. And when does this happen? Well? She hey,

  201. God was probably caught up with discouragement. I would think, sawing my boss

  202. like I will tell you my story, despondency. There's a slight to that

  203. despair. She was probably the real She was probably directionless all the deeds.

  204. You know, when you start with discouragement, cousins number one, two,

  205. three, p five will come and live with you. Please do not allow

  206. the cousins to make a home in your heart and your life. Chase it

  207. away. The earlier you do, the lesson dds will come. Otherwise they

  208. do, do do you? Okay? So you know what the hell?

  209. Okay? So all the cousins came to stay with Hagar and she was so

  210. I'm sure she was discouraged. Where was she going? Why was my boss

  211. doing this to me? After all you gave me as a wife to your

  212. husband, Oh Parney, And then you know, despair, What am I

  213. gonna do? Despondent? The mags? And now I don't even have direction

  214. where to go? Away? In the world is Egypt. I'm just walking.

  215. I'm walking this way. So there was this whole discouragement. And I

  216. have to say to us when we are in that place of discouragement, we

  217. are on this road of wilderness that leads to towards Egypt. Was this pathway

  218. or this wilderness path called Sure? And she was just running opposite from all

  219. the blessing the goodness there. And you know what the word sure means.

  220. Oh, by the way, do you know what Hagar means. Her name

  221. sounds like a flea, fled, fly away, run away. Hagar sounds

  222. like the word fled to leave, and she fled. And then she's on

  223. this way to Sure because it leads to Egypt. Sure means wall, kay,

  224. thing your hat on a when you are discouraged, when you are down,

  225. despondent, went things had happened, You run away, but you will

  226. hit a wall. So true when we run away from what God has for

  227. us and forget that he's the God who sees. And if she had kept

  228. on, she will hit a wall because it is not It is so difficult

  229. to get back to Egypt. And Egypt is not the land of promise.

  230. Canaan is She was taken with the family there. So I just thought,

  231. Wow, I didn't know the word sure means wall. And and then it

  232. just shows me that many times I hit a wall when I choose not to

  233. go the way God wants me to go guy rather be opposite and and and

  234. she was going opposite direction, and yet the Lord said return my word.

  235. Now I'm not talking about exceptions. Yeah, I'm talking about general rule.

  236. There are some. Sometimes there are exceptions in terms of if someone is being

  237. abused in your marriage and hid and beaten, I listen. I don't think

  238. as you return you need you need separate. You need to separate to get

  239. healed first and then talk later. But I'm just saying, not the exception,

  240. just generally, when we go through things. The thing about discouragement,

  241. it keeps us getting to hit a wall because we don't know where to go,

  242. and we're running away from where we need to be sometimes, and some

  243. people feel like they're walking around and around a wilderness. You're hitting a wall

  244. because the break to was actually to stay and to weather through and wait on

  245. the Lord, and he will make you rise up with wings of an eagle.

  246. And but we're too impatient, we're too. You know, we don't

  247. we think that God hasn't seen us. I encourage us that God sees us

  248. in a situation and instead of fleeing and start hitting the wall and walking around

  249. and around in a wilderness where we don't need to be. It is tough,

  250. but I have to say she was quite smart. She came to a

  251. spring, She came to a place of water. You know, amen,

  252. And I really think Jesus is the water. Jesus is our living water.

  253. If you ever get lost, come back to Jesus. And you know the

  254. well, it's really the church. I know sometimes we get hurt by people

  255. from the Church, the reality. But if you look at people, you

  256. will never overcome. You will hit a wall. But if you look at

  257. Jesus and the beauty, the beauty that Jesus gives, the love that God

  258. gives. We learn from the Lord. We learn to submit to the Lord's

  259. plans. We learn to forgive he God would have had to forgive her mistress.

  260. We learn to release and surrender. And that's why the Lord said,

  261. you return and you submit yourself under her hand. It's a heavy hand now,

  262. but you sometimes need to go through that. You wait, I will

  263. deliver you because he gave her a promise about her child that God hears her

  264. affliction. And if God says that here's your affliction, he will do something

  265. about it. And at the right time, when you are meant to leave

  266. this place, he will open that way, which later Hagar and Ishmael had

  267. to be sent away. It was the right time to do that. God

  268. agreed to do that. But when it's not the right time to move to

  269. flee, you will hit a wall constantly, a wall, and you know

  270. you don't want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time because you

  271. choose to. I cannot the hand this one. I am offender. It

  272. is a bad job, and you want to leave. There is always the

  273. right time for it. But the best thing we can hear out of this

  274. conversation that she had is that God says, I see you. I see

  275. you so wherever you are in your faith level. And sometimes we compare and

  276. the worst word in the English language is comparison. Oh I hate it.

  277. My mom used to compare me with others. So wasn't that clever? You

  278. see so and so, doctor can do that, so well you or in

  279. that comparison, And every time you look at it day and others you will

  280. feel like you will never be stuck in a flousy willdn't know well some more

  281. you know. So it's very important to just look at Jesus right that God,

  282. you see me and I see you? Can you see God in that

  283. situation. It's hard, top, it's challenging, its derailing me. But

  284. I gotta look up and I gotta be assured of this and we stay in

  285. there. Amen, because four points here. Know that God sees us.

  286. Know that God hears us. Ishmael, I hear your affliction. Call your

  287. son. That is a reminder that I'm a God that hears your affliction.

  288. Number three, return to his word of promise. God has given many of

  289. us, most of us, a word of promise. It could be a

  290. simple word of promise that all of us share that we will have eternal life.

  291. We all share that. Now you cannot say, how come you got

  292. more eternal life than me? Do no such thing. We all okay,

  293. we all have eternal life together. That is a word of promise. I

  294. don't get whether the Edwards has it. No, you have it. I

  295. don't know. We all have it. We need to return to that word.

  296. The general word of God, the logos word, the written word of

  297. God. And then God will give you a specific word for that time of

  298. need and a word that was built in you. You you grew it.

  299. We sang the song. The winds came, the winds blue. No,

  300. the rain came the winds blue. But eye am founded on the solid rock.

  301. Amen. And that is what holds us, holds us when we feel

  302. like, I know, I'm going to I'm gonna do bangaready because but if

  303. you Bill understand, you will. But you build on the rock, you

  304. won't. So return to his word or promise and number for submit, submission

  305. to the will of God. Yeah, you don't like that. Words a

  306. bad words, Okay, it's not submit to his will? And and and

  307. wait, the waiting, the patience is what we seldom we feel like,

  308. you know, it's too long. But if we take things into our own

  309. hands, likely we will have an ishmael And then we don't know what to

  310. do with the ishmael? Are you so? I want to encourage us in

  311. this this afternoon. That to say that every time and discouragement hits us,

  312. we tend to go backwards. And that and that has happened several times when

  313. when Jesus was hanging on the cross true all the disciples disappeared, and after

  314. that they all went the other side. We were the two disciples walking to

  315. Amaeus, seven miles away from Jerusalem, where the promise was meant to be.

  316. When Peter and the rest were so discouraged that this Jesus didn't what happened

  317. to him? He died, No, it's not a terrible death. What

  318. did they do? They went back to fishing. This is what we do.

  319. We always go backwards what we used to doing. You know, we're

  320. like, I don't even know what's going on. I just go by.

  321. I'm going to my mom's house, you know, thank god, my mom's

  322. house. But you know, you know, going back myselfas don't even have

  323. a mom's house, you know, my dad's how the mom's house don't have

  324. woods. I was like gonna go, you know, and the moms don't

  325. have that. There are people who just don't have a home to go to.

  326. It that difficult. But this time we say the Lord God sees me.

  327. The question is do you see him? Hey, guys saw him in

  328. a desperation. It's not easy to be a maid servant, right to be

  329. mistreat and now told to go back. She had to have seen something about

  330. the god that she never worshiped, but this day she said, Wow,

  331. you are the god that sees me Elroy, and she had to return.

  332. And she returned she did. I don't know whether Abram and Sarah mister noticed

  333. that she was missing. I don't know. Doesn't tell us right, doesn't

  334. show us. But she went back and submitted to her boss. And then

  335. later she had the child. I mean she had the child later on Da

  336. da da, and then later she moved on. So you know, there's

  337. the right time for everything to happen. But to run away, to move

  338. away from your promise is what it is what many of us do. We

  339. returned to the Egypt, we returned to what we know and are so familiar

  340. with. But God is always moving us to the promise, moving us to

  341. to to the next level of faith. Amen. I remember many many years

  342. ago, in when I was still in the marketplace working for corporate. I

  343. came I came out as a graduate, a young graduate, and I went

  344. straight into a public listed company. And it's quite hard when you come out

  345. street. You just finish your studies, you're green like nothing and everything you

  346. study like I don't know, I just passed exam, you know. And

  347. then and then there's the practical has to be so I should have joined well

  348. they say I should have joined a p W C, E Y whatever,

  349. those accounting firms, because then I go into that I'm not accounting, I

  350. mean company H, company secretary. So you have to go into that line

  351. and you change and train and then finally you get your break. Then you

  352. make it into the public listed company, you know. But this way I

  353. went the other way, straight away from the graduate fall inside the public listed

  354. company. No no, nothing, no know nothing right. But it was

  355. a huge company, many many companies. I got to learn. So I

  356. had to learn from ground up and and and the pay was just I can't

  357. even say the word hour so poor. I was all right those days,

  358. the bad economic downturn, you earn verily. Like I looked at the letter.

  359. I laugh, you know today I really love you know, I got

  360. my employment letters. You know. Do you know how much I earned for

  361. corporate company? Do you know how old I am? Now? Four hundred

  362. and fifty a month corport on the on the malasios. Can I say the

  363. word because so and I and because there were there were so hard to find

  364. jobs. Then you take it or leave it. So I took it.

  365. I don't know, I was recommended by somebody, so I thought, you

  366. don't do the just thank you and then just work and trainer. Of course

  367. I had to train from scratchler yo, learn learn like everything, like I

  368. really like, like hey, God around and every time my parents would be

  369. saying, oh you little money, I'm seeing people graduat now got more seary

  370. and I don't know. I'm just not anything. Don't know you're worth But

  371. she's not worth much love because because if you want to be today where I

  372. am, and I hold that position today, Yes, you have to learn

  373. from growing out la So so every time looking for job, not looking for

  374. job, trying to change job, trying to change job, mother is telling

  375. them. Finally City Bank offered me a job and pay was a bit better.

  376. Guess how much can I even say? I slept City Bank? You

  377. know City we can offer you six not even doing what I'm trained to do

  378. in some don't know what credit department, I don't know. And then NC

  379. you have to you have to work late at night. No, Jela,

  380. I'm punk the City Bank that I'm oh, my good. They said,

  381. we only we only give a position higher salary if you got a master's degree.

  382. Masters are damn you keep it ler and and I don't know, no,

  383. I'll be totally changing my line of work that I really want to be

  384. why what I studied for? And so I turned them down because I was

  385. so scared to take the job because I had to work with two other men

  386. until late at night, a pretty good I cannot I'm like, these guys

  387. are going like yummy, and this girl, are you scared? And then

  388. I got no car to take bus. Those are living when dinosaurs walked here,

  389. and so I'm like, I'm so scared. I didn't want to take

  390. the job because I had to work with the manager and then this do you

  391. know what is like? And then they're like, okay, are you late?

  392. And I'm like like how late? You know? Like ladies late?

  393. Man? Can I tell me? No, You're just come in. I'm

  394. like, I have to think a pretty girl got brains and I don't know

  395. that about pretty deler So so I told and my dad was going to help

  396. me find a joy. Dad, I'm not taking said why, it's more

  397. money than we're earning. Now, it's not about the money. It's not

  398. about the money. I'm not leaving this company. And I try finding jobs.

  399. I tell you, sometimes you just want to run away from what God

  400. actually intends for you, But you have to go to very high. Were

  401. lot problems with my supervisor didn't like me. I don't know. I wasn't

  402. I was clever or maybe more fresh. Yeah, man, And a lot

  403. of future for someone like me. And if I know how to work well,

  404. I will grow and you and I have to say that I work among

  405. a lot of top top directors in this nation. Some of them are date

  406. now. Yes there was Tanslim got Way was one of the directors I worked

  407. on on the board. He offered me a job to be his personal assistant.

  408. I say, it's okay, done. What are you doing? I

  409. got more paid and you how about you any now I can pump it.

  410. I know the college secretary. How I think better than not? Actually like

  411. you have to do this and those member I worked in the days that dinosaurs

  412. walk. He's very different world from now. There's no headphones that thing are

  413. like okay, I didn't even have a car, could have poor so like

  414. so people like the Limb, got Waing and and different different ones. These

  415. are really top of deadline. They were part of our direct bord of directors

  416. and and that's what my job is. I work among of them. We

  417. do so much what you see as Honglong Bank. Today, we did the

  418. take, we took the buy over, we sold the bank, our bank,

  419. the company I worked for. To them work like man, you're look

  420. at phone, so care were only signing contraga at one A M one a

  421. M my boss Christian know, I'm looking at my boss e c or I

  422. canno talk to him while I tell my manager wait for one am dethny can

  423. signed contract and the next one and then by midnight we have to send things

  424. to Bersa. You know, we have to send everything faxes. This fax

  425. machine see where dinosaurs walk the earth. You don't even know what a fax

  426. machine is, right, fax machine? So so and again I'm like why,

  427. like there's no nice pills and man's slow low. The climate was very

  428. slow, and you think, but God, what are you opening another door?

  429. And I tried many times different types of companies. And if it's not

  430. your time, it is not your time. And probably God saying stay in

  431. there, prayer, Pray for favor. I pray for favor with the people

  432. I had to work with, Pray for favor my supervisor. I had a

  433. lot of future because I was very young still, which means I can actually

  434. grow and become if I stay loyally to the company, which in my age

  435. group we are very loyal one. I never jump job one. Never there

  436. these days, and you know how to jump job one. Just stay,

  437. you know, grow the company and become the furniture like the chop safe.

  438. Let I know the safe, chop safe stand there forever. So do know

  439. how to change up. But I really felt, I know I should leave,

  440. I should get more, that I'm worth more than this her never so

  441. God saying not time yet. Do you know when the time was when I

  442. actually got to to do the fine finally got gave the okay if I wrote

  443. in and another public lista company. These guys said, yes, that means

  444. I immediately jump off the assistant companies actually get you get another level. Wah.

  445. And at the same time, the Lord said, come, it's the

  446. full time mom malo are you already five years praying? No, I want

  447. to go to the mission field. Lord, I want to go to the

  448. mission field. So hello, God never speaking, No, so five years,

  449. I say, I think he's forgotten me. Really, I'm on the

  450. shelf already, h D already twenty seven years already, I think you're not

  451. gonna send me to the field. So but then I got opening to become

  452. the assistant co set there and then as I was sending my thanks, So

  453. now if I'm giving my letter, yeah, now, now the MDCs,

  454. are you sure you want to leave? We are going to make you the

  455. assistant cosette bada gonna come out? Are you like? What are you sure

  456. that I told them what I want to do. I want to go to

  457. missions. I'm gonna but your missions can wait right like you should work now,

  458. No, you should. You should be promoting you to this is You're

  459. gonna handle over this many at least the company is da da da da.

  460. Sounds tempting, but God as a real sense of humor at the time,

  461. and you're being promoted. It was time that he says, come. And

  462. then I left for training and I went off to Europe. Wow, I

  463. tell you, at the right time, God knows when that assurance is that

  464. I'm not that bet La can get promoted. I can get from mot la.

  465. People want you la right, not like so work so long one hundred

  466. fifty ryro are you you know? I mean I didn't stay for fifty forever?

  467. Are but but it's just like when you were you got so hard,

  468. not too hard to work with this person so hard. Everybody like wrong?

  469. Are you only right again? So you pray, ask for favor and stick

  470. in there and submit in there and learn. And then sometimes where we are,

  471. we we we run too fast, We changed too fast. We we

  472. run the opposite side. When the promised land was always here. God says,

  473. I put you here for a reason, and you just have to wait.

  474. And so that waiting for me was was character development, was sharpening my

  475. skill. Uh to where I am today, I hold, I hold,

  476. I still hold my license, I still can. I am a coset today

  477. of course for our own organization. Not not too much, nothing too much.

  478. But but it's something that I learned along the years, and God gave

  479. that to me, and I didn't didn't go and through it away, and

  480. so I don't have become concert anymore. Today I am. My signature means

  481. a lot now, ah, I signed for you. I can judge you

  482. again and also suddenly our position became for corporate governance. This is where that's

  483. where I stand. And so God's timing sticking there. Learn all you can

  484. learn, as much as you can to learn. No lo do all that.

  485. So many except really had the opportunity to deal with so many companies,

  486. famous companies. I won't say to you now, but just working and learning,

  487. but a lot of hard works. So last minute, boss will say

  488. stay back five to T five the t time to go home. Can you

  489. please, sir stay back? You think what my life rebos and know no

  490. choice you work. You were for years it was like that, come back

  491. on Sunday and work. You know now I say sorry, I go church

  492. first, my just seventy th am after church ninety finish. I'll come to

  493. church, my bo all Christian, No but corprid like you have to work

  494. like that. So we say, okay, you come after world. Always

  495. make your stand, always do what you can, and then do your work

  496. at the best level that you can the right time. God will promote you.

  497. Got most things for you. But the God whom we serve is the

  498. God who sees us. He's not blind, He's not blind. By who

  499. are you submitting your will toler Are we submitting ourselves to ourselves as and hegard

  500. could have done that for herself, always submitting to another person's word, always

  501. submitting ourselves to God's word, and will return to His word wherever you are

  502. at at this time, if you are or if ever you get to a

  503. place of discouragement as I. And one of my titles was the thing about

  504. discouragement. The thing about discouragement. It brings along everybody else to make a

  505. house and camp into your garden, and you'll never get them away, and

  506. then you cannot see God anymore, because discouragement really will bring us down,

  507. down, down, down, And the Lord is trying to keep us not

  508. to stay there or not, you know, but to really return to his

  509. word and be reminded that, no matter how tough our spirit, let us

  510. trust in the Lord. I don't know how the same. And I talk

  511. to the Christians who are much older in faith. Sometimes I scared to tell

  512. you to trust in the Lord. You know why, because you turn around

  513. say yeah, easy for you to say, you're giving me the Christian word.

  514. No, I realized, I talk to all these how are you say?

  515. The ones who gone going before us? And older one, So say,

  516. I just trust the Lord anymore? Tis trusting the Lord? I see.

  517. Okay, very Christian answers say, but that's Jesus. So don't be

  518. ashamed to tell somebody to trust in the Lord, because I could be telling

  519. you trusting yourself, trust in your government, trusting your money, trusting your

  520. boss, trust in the system. But I have to tell you trust in

  521. the Lord. He is faithful. I tell you what. You get angry

  522. with me. You might get angry with your pastor you might get angry with

  523. your home leader for asking you to trust in the Lord. And you say,

  524. such a Christian answer, But we are children of God. I am

  525. not the child of the devil. I am not the child of some whoever.

  526. I'm the child of the Lord. If I don't trust in God,

  527. who am I trusting? I will be trusting in my doctor. I'll be

  528. trusting in my you, my pet cat. I'll be trusting in something and

  529. not the Lord. God says, I am the God who sees you.

  530. It's so personal. God sees not you on the outside. God sees you

  531. in your heart cry, and he sees your tears, and he captures your

  532. tears. He keeps in bottle. He remembers your tears, he remembers your

  533. cry. He doesn't forget, but he says, wait, submit yourself under

  534. my will and I will bring you through. Amen, Come on Church.

  535. How to say? We are here at church, we hear these messages,

  536. not just I'm not here to give you new messages articular years. I'm here

  537. to build your faith, to remain strong, to remain faithful, to be

  538. on the solid foundation, so when the wind blows, and the and the

  539. rain comes down on you, you won't be like the three little piglets who

  540. get swept away because you are founded on the solid rock of knowing that you

  541. are submitted, and you are under the Lord's hand, and you are rounded

  542. on your faith Jesus Christ, you cannot be found on anything else. I

  543. tell you, people will fail us. I mean, how many times I

  544. feel I feel like people like I wish someone would encourage me. I wish

  545. nobody would do this to me. Do do do, But it happens.

  546. Then I could go down to be discouraged respondent. It's bad, he railed,

  547. directionless and give up. I can't. Where's my faith founded on?

  548. On the Lord? On the Lord, despite whatever happens how tiring it is.

  549. Sometimes I'll say, Lord, you are the God who sees me,

  550. so I will wait upon you to deliver me if I am wrong, guide

  551. me to do the right thing. If I am right. And these things

  552. are happening. That Lord, the righteous shall live by faith and not by

  553. sight. So you see something, it doesn't look like what you want.

  554. It's not dead. You wait because the Lord is leading you to a better

  555. day, to the opportunities that I'm even more opportunity than what you see.

  556. Now, don't settle from four hundred and fifty six hundred long, lad,

  557. No need right, Just hang on, lad, there's more coming. Right.

  558. So I had to turn down City Bank. You're very shocked. You

  559. know. The manager actually called me and said, wa, e turn down

  560. the job. So I see it will I actually want to train and become

  561. a company secretary. I see you're lost, he say me away. Sorry,

  562. Lala said it's okay. One day I will become what I meant to

  563. be. And I've taken the very narrow road. Because seriously, the MANJA

  564. actually caught me. Dan you already, pretty face? Yeah, no,

  565. yummy girls gonna be in their office working late at night. Yeah, yeah,

  566. yeah, you know you're worth you know. Yeah, yeah, I'm

  567. saying sorry, I'm not taking the job. You're not taking a job because

  568. I want to become a go sect one day, not today, but one

  569. day. Yeah. You're know what God is saying to us. And every

  570. time pray about it, pray about it, pray about it. You feel,

  571. you know, very strong Christian. So I'm telling you you're still a

  572. child of God. You pray about it. Don't say you nia Christian answer,

  573. Another Christian answer. I pray about it. Okay, you say it.

  574. But you go into your corner and you ask the Lord, Lord,

  575. should I take this job? Lord? Should I move house? Lord?

  576. Should I do this? Should I do that? Whatever it is you ask

  577. the Lord. I tell you you are a child of God. God has

  578. to come through for you. You believe it or not. I'm telling you

  579. He hears you. I have to end this. I have to tell you

  580. this story. I know it's to your clock, just to prove to you

  581. that God hears you. I don't know if I told you my testimony about

  582. recently, doctor Jill and I got to lead a French lady to Jesus.

  583. This French lady is seventy eight years old. She is down with cancer.

  584. She has got autoimmune disease. She's about to die. But this woman's married

  585. to an American, lived in Malaysia and loves Malaysia. And we all not

  586. living Malaysia. Sixteen years in Malaysia. American husband, French wife, travel

  587. the world, worked everywhere. I don't know what he does. He's rich,

  588. I'm sure, because you can't believe in Malaysia second home. I'm Malaysia,

  589. second home, loves it, loves it here taking treatment in some way,

  590. he says, Sunway is like the best ever. They take you from

  591. the cradle into the grief, the service la you born here, you take

  592. care of you or everything here, and then even when you're sick and they

  593. take care of you. Know as I told me, I'm like yeah.

  594. And they they lived a wildlife. Wow, this is love story, you

  595. know whom French women goes to America, falls in love. American man comes

  596. to France, finds his love of his life, live together Ora. Finally

  597. they get married, then they have kids. Then she told me all the

  598. story. She's very sick. She gotta thought already breathing very had and said,

  599. but I want to know God Huh, how can I know God?

  600. She just wanted to know what will happened to her when she dies. Suddenly

  601. her Catholic thing came back to her from her childhood. Both are Catholics,

  602. but never faith, never lived their faith, not a day in their life.

  603. But even in your last moments, asking the Lord God, I want

  604. to know you. She doesn't even know God. She's cursed God. She

  605. told me, I've been so sarcastic as French and my French not so good,

  606. so so hard. No, it's some much. You cannot breathe husband

  607. not helping, doctor g I think that's what she meant. I think that's

  608. what she meant. And then and she said, I want to seek God.

  609. I want to know. Can I know God? I said, Michelle.

  610. The very fact that I'm here and I don't know you from Adam,

  611. I'm telling you God sent me here. I'm here and I'm here to tell

  612. you your prayer way from Jesus. So do you want to say the prayer?

  613. Savage? Do you want Jesus in your life? I got no time

  614. to teach anything, there's no time to renow anything. Just come and receive

  615. Jesus. She said, Yes, I said, guess what, Jill,

  616. you lead her to seedy kid. No, Jill, why don't you lead

  617. her in a prayer salvation? So Jill led her in the prayer salvation.

  618. Jill memorize our salvation prayer. Thank God, Thank God, I can remember

  619. because I can remember again. So I said, Jill, why an't your

  620. leader? Jill leads her in a prayer salvation again, Mama, she doesn't

  621. know what salvation? Save you, safe, save you. No, you

  622. just pray like okay, you just pray, you receive. You want to

  623. know God? Yes I do. Will you come to my lie? I

  624. believe you will. She says the prayer with much difficulty in breathing, but

  625. she says the prayer. She receives Jesus. She pauses and I look at

  626. her and I said, I pray for you. She said yes. And

  627. as we prayed, you did not open our eyes, close our eyes and

  628. pray. But leaving for God to do something. His presence filled the room.

  629. Her husband is bawling in his eyes out. It's just crying again.

  630. Hear someone's all being away. She's just tearing as I prayed, and I

  631. just pray for her to God to touch her life fill her, and then

  632. we amen. We really feel God's presence when we open our eyes. I

  633. thought she died because she didn't wake up. I don't know you. She

  634. didn't open eyes for so long. So bit awkward, really right? If

  635. I prayed with someone and died, then't not very good? Lah, So

  636. we just kenn a brain duns the poor for letter doesn't know what d is.

  637. Allelujah, Thank God. She's a holy open eyes Louijah. And you

  638. know what, her countenance just changed. I can't explain brightness. And you

  639. know what's the first thing she said to me? Sometimes shame on us.

  640. You know what's the first thing she said? When can I go for the

  641. gathering? I said, what gathering? The gathering? Church? Yes?

  642. Oh, yes, you live in put your jay of a church in Cybergie

  643. will get you there. I want to go for the gathering. Well,

  644. my heart like walk right loud. You want to go to Jude, my

  645. man, I want to come to church. Yes, we'll give you the

  646. church. So I want to go soon to the church. And I say

  647. you can't. She can't. She's very very weak. We'll get you there

  648. when you're better, okay, face just beautiful, Just lift up her husband

  649. knows that, bowling his eyes out. I came the next day. I

  650. brought the Bible, I brought exclaim, I brought all kinds of material things

  651. for them to read. And I said, I'll be back. So I

  652. came again, and she said I can't sleep, So I pray again for

  653. her. He cried again. He said, do you get paid to make

  654. me cry? No? I say, I don't get paid for this.

  655. No do I have to pay you? I said, I do this for

  656. really, I don't. I don't get paid. I just work with the

  657. hospital. Hospital doesn't pay me. He said, wow, every time you

  658. come, I cry, But he didn't say the prayer of salvation yet.

  659. I just hope he will one day find Christ because he's seeing it life.

  660. And you know, she had two weeks with her family. Her two daughters

  661. came back. In two weeks she went home. I cried because I wanted

  662. to We all wanted to see her again, and we didn't have time.

  663. So at the time when she passed on, we were busy with expioor retreat.

  664. We just took a cab and we went. Jill and I I you

  665. know what the husband said to us, peacefully, she went no more sleepless

  666. nights, Her daughters came around her, she had time with her family to

  667. say goodbye. She went off peacefully. That is God's blessing as a child

  668. of God. That just go home. And you know, he said,

  669. do you know which was a favorite book among all the books that you gave

  670. her? I said, which one she liked? The one with all the

  671. pictures in it? Exclaimed She said that was her favorite favorite. She would

  672. look at it every day and look get the pictures. And she said,

  673. I want to go to the gathering. Wow. You know this is a

  674. pre believe A person who doesn't curse God in the face, don't want Jesus.

  675. And yet when she said God, I want to know you, he

  676. came. He sent me. So you are a child of God. Surely

  677. he sees you. You love Jesus, you love God. When you pray,

  678. you must pray by faith, and it is faith. The currency of

  679. heaven connects you. God sees you, and you must know he sees you.

  680. And then you see him as we run this race. Friends. It's

  681. the small things, really, It's not like, oh this is da is

  682. this faith in you? So where even you feel you got little faith,

  683. a little strength God sees you. He's cheering you on. The angels are

  684. cheering you on, the Saints are cheering your onn here's the Holy Spirit encouraging

  685. you and me. I pray we never lose our heart or you know,

  686. never say I never want to go for the gathering. This woman found Jesus.

  687. The first thing she said is I want to go for the gathering.

  688. She wanted to be in church with other believers to know this God. Brother

  689. sisters, those of us who already know God, Praise God that we can

  690. gather. Praise God that we can worship Him, and I want to do

  691. so much. My lesson from this is God sees you. Even if you

  692. see the person who didn't know God for so many years custom in his face,

  693. say no to Jesus. And the day she says, I want to

  694. know God. For weeks she said, tell me how I can know God?

  695. Until the doctor said I can call past her and she caught me and

  696. I'm there and she receives Christ. She was ready. How about us who

  697. know God? Hellos Christ? When you seek him, surely surely he would

  698. meet with you, speak to you through his written word and to a specific

  699. word, a Rayma word the word that you already planted inside, that you

  700. needed that word for that season and that time. He's an awesome father God.

  701. Oh, I was so encouraged that my God sees me. If nobody

  702. else sees me, God sees me. And have I seen him? Have

  703. you seen the Lord in your circumstance? He surely does. And if he

  704. can come through to someone who has cursed him in the face and never wanted

  705. to follow him, how about us who know him and have followed Jesus and

  706. continuing to follow him. The Lord is hearing you. He hears you,

  707. and he wants you Amen, hallelujah. Come on, you canna even say

  708. amen. We hope you've been blacked us by this message. For more information
