You're listening to a message to go from axt church. We hope this message
-
will light up your tea. I have been doing a series, all right.
-
It was an accidental series. I didn't intend it to be a series,
-
but it just so happened that it evolved over time and God was just
-
speaking to me. So you're speaking to me most of the time, and
-
I'm just sharing with you my devotion that what I have been going through.
-
So the series, right, I just came up with the title even as
-
I was driving here, because I was thinking, hey, it's a series,
-
right, so series needs a title. So the title is called this
-
is Real Life. This is real life? Okay, So can I pull
-
up the slide? Yes, so this is the favorite slide. I think
-
you'll be like bored of this slide, really, but this is real life.
-
So this is real life. We have a plan, our plan.
-
Usually there's a sounds perfect, everything goes according to plan. But what happens
-
in real life nothing goes according to plan. If we are fortunate, maybe
-
eighty percent goes according to plan. But we know that there are so many
-
factors that has uh that takes comes into play. Even in even in this
-
time, you know, like now the war in the Middle East, you
-
know, has factored in. Suddenly you maybe you had a plan to go
-
and visit Israel. Maybe I don't know you had a plan, but then
-
I think the plans will change, right or even if you suddenly plan to
-
go and visit us and then now you look at the currency, you're like,
-
oh, man, I don't think right now at the right time.
-
You know. So you have a lot of plans, but there's so many
-
factors in life that cause a lot of hindrance to our plans. So I
-
have preached about a few of them. What do we do? All right?
-
So a recap The first one I preached it during KChO if y'all were
-
there, so wow, it spans back from KChO. You know. The
-
first one was getting out of a rut, and the verse was all things
-
work together for the good of those who love God. So you remember Paul
-
and Silas. Right, Paul was thrown into jail, he was bitten by
-
a snake, he was chained to a god. But no matter what he
-
said, all things work together for the good. So his plan, he
-
had a lot of pitfalls, but he continued persevering forward. Right, second
-
one was I'm mature or are we immature? Right? And the verse for
-
that is whom I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as
-
rubbish that I may gain Christ is the one where we say it. To
-
live is Christ, and to die is gain right in terms of it,
-
So no matter what comes our way, we still want to exalt, make
-
sure that God is exalted, and that causes us too mature, all right.
-
The third one spirit lead, Spirit lead, for God has not given
-
us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound
-
mind. Remember that. So God has not given us a spirit of fear.
-
And usually when we are in the pit, we are filled with fear
-
because things are not going to according to plan. Our plans are thrown out
-
the window, and we are scared. Right, we are scared, but
-
we learned how that God gives us love, power and a sound mind which
-
helps us tackle the valleys. And the most recent one was watch what you
-
say, So tell your neighbor and say watch what you say. So remember
-
in the pit. In the pit, you are going through a negative circumstance,
-
and usually in a negative circumstance you will just usually say the easiest thing
-
that comes to mind, which is like dialer, no, sure, die,
-
I don't know what to do. Where is God? You know?
-
I give up? And we learned what God was saying in be quick to
-
listen, slow to speak, slow to anger. Right, So this is
-
where we are at point four. So it looks like there's a lot of
-
handles that we can take when we are dealing with real life. But today
-
the fifth one, right, So I'm not sure whether this will be the
-
last one or not. As of now, I think it might be,
-
but it may not be. You never know, right, So the fifth
-
one, I want to take y'all on a treasure hunt today. I wanted
-
to take you on a treasure hunt because right they were saying that the fifth
-
handle is more precious than gold. It's more precious than gold and silvery.
-
All know what it is. Let us go on a treasure hunt, all
-
right? So Proverbs three fourteen to fifteen, For wisdom is more profitable than
-
silver, and her wages are better than gold. Wisdom is more precious than
-
rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with her. And this is the treasure
-
that we are seeking. How many of us right in the pit we have
-
prayed, God, give me wisdom. They say, I have no idea
-
how I'm going to get out of this. God, I need you to
-
move. You tell me what to do because I have no idea and a
-
lot of times in the pit. Right, what we need to move from
-
the pit into the peak is wisdom. We need wisdom because it is probably
-
a new challenge. If it's an old challenge, you don't need wisdom.
-
What you need is experience. But if it's a new challenge, you are
-
stretched. You are being stretched, you are being taken to another level.
-
You need wisdom. Right, So next light, So the title of today's
-
sermon right is Pearls of Wisdom, Right, pearls of wisdom. So we
-
are always looking for pearls of wisdom. You know, we think that it's
-
like a magic I just need that one word that will help me unlock it.
-
And how many of us desire wisdom? You know you desire wisdom.
-
And if you get the right understanding of wisdom, right, it is the
-
most precious treasure. That's how valuable wisdom is. And sometimes we understate the
-
value of wisdom because right, God prioritizes wisdom. He's always asking us to
-
seek wisdom. The whole book of Proverbs was there's a book of proverbs on
-
wisdom. Ecclesiastes speaks about wisdom. The Book of James also speaks about wisdom.
-
So you know that wisdom is important and it's more precious than treasure,
-
right, But what is wisdom? So we always so you're looking for the
-
treasure, but actually what is the treasure? What is wisdom? Have you
-
all thought about it? And he thought? What is wisdom? Or you
-
need wisdom to find out? What's wisdom? What is wisdom? You know?
-
Sometimes we always say, God, give me wisdom. What actually is
-
wisdom? We sometimes just mistake wisdom as the answer, you know, Or
-
you're like, hey, I want to be a smart alect. I want
-
people to call me wise, you know, and we think that it is
-
or we think people with a lot of knowledge they are wise. You know,
-
you always have the right thing to say, or people who have a
-
quick tongue, you know, they always know the right things to say at
-
the right time. Is that wisdom? You know? So let me just
-
give us a bit of definition, right, wait, not definition? Yes,
-
definition? So wisdom wisdom is the ability to perceive the true nature of
-
a situation, true nature of a situation, and to implement the will of
-
God in that situation. Wisdom is the practical application of God's truth to a
-
specific situation. And wisdom is knowing what God wants you to do and then
-
doing it. That is wisdom. So when you're in a pit right you
-
will think that, man, I have no idea why I'm going through this,
-
and it probably just hits you like a bus. You're like it came
-
out of nowhere, suddenly this happens. But wisdom will sort of reveal it
-
that what is the true nature of this situation? What is God bringing me
-
through? What do I need to learn from this? What do I need
-
to do? You understand the true nature of the situation. You don't look
-
at the short term loss that you have, but you have a long term
-
perspective. What does God want me to go through? And God is with
-
me in this situation. That's the true nature of this situation. Even in
-
the valley of the shadow of death, God is with you. That is
-
the true nature of the situation. You know, a lot of times right
-
in the pit is where most Christians give up their faith because they do not
-
recognize the true nature of the situation. The true nature is the situation is
-
God bringing you from the pit to the peak. He wants you to go
-
to the next level. But we might be shortsighted, okay. And it's
-
the practical applification of God's truth. So what is God's truth in that situation?
-
What am I supposed to do when I'm going through a difficult time in
-
this situation? What am I supposed to do? Okay? So that is
-
the definition of wisdom? Got that? So how many of you all are
-
wise? Huh No, depending on mood. Okay, we we we all
-
aspire to be wise. Right, we have been wise before. We have
-
been wise before. Tell your neighbor you have been wise before and you will
-
be wise again. Okay. So, so like what I mentioned, right,
-
wisdom is a treasure. So as a treasure, right, first question,
-
if I tell you the wisdom is a treasure, what is the first?
-
Next first question you want to ask? Correct? Next, where do
-
I seek wisdom? So if I say wisdom is a treasure, it's more
-
precious than gold and silver, next thing you will ask is where is it?
-
I told you it's a treasure, you have to go and seek it.
-
Right, You have to go and seek it. Okay, So let
-
me bring you to a few verses next line. So this is James three,
-
verse thirteen. If you are wise and understand God's ways, prove it
-
by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from
-
wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your
-
heart, don't cover up the truth with boasting and lying, for jealousy and
-
selfishness are not God's kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual,
-
and demonic. For whoever, for wherever there is jealousies and selfish ambition,
-
there you will find disorder and evil of every kind next life. But the
-
wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving,
-
gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full
-
of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is
-
always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant the seeds of peace a
-
rep are hours of righteousness. Okay, So the question just now is where
-
do I seek wisdom? How does this passage tie into that? Okay?
-
So, first of all, did you notice from this passage. If you
-
go back one slide, there is two types of wisdom. One are the
-
two types of wisdom you look at verse fifteen for jealousy and our fishness are
-
not God's kind of wisdom. So there is God's kind of wisdom and there
-
is the world's kind of wisdom. So when you are seeking wisdom, make
-
sure you're seeking the right kind of wisdom first, because if not, you
-
open a treasure chest full of the gold chocolates instead of gold coins. You
-
know you have the old school goal chocolate. Right. If you're seeking the
-
wrong kind of wisdom, you will get the wrong type of results. So
-
there is two kinds of wisdom. And earlier when I mentioned our definition of
-
wisdom that we are talking about today is God's wisdom. Okay, God's wisdom.
-
So this is in the Book of James. Okay, Book of James.
-
It's this is a bit of Bible study. But I told you it's
-
a treasure hunt. Treasure hunt not straightforward or right. You have to go
-
a bit, but he'll be worthy, he'll be worth it. Okay,
-
next life. So this is from First Corinthians too. This is written by
-
Paul. Just now that one was written by James. So what does Paul
-
say yet among Yet, when I am among mature believers, I do speak
-
words of wisdom, but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world
-
or the rulers of this world, who are soon forgotten. No, the
-
wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God, his plan that was previously
-
hidden, even though He made it for our ultimate glory before the world began.
-
But the rulers of this world have not understood it. If they had,
-
they would not have crucified our glorious Lord. Next, this is First
-
Corinthians treet the next one. I had to feed you with milk and not
-
with solid food because you weren't ready for anything stronger. And you still aren't
-
ready, for you are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous
-
of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn't that prove that you are
-
controlled by your sinful nature? Are in you living like people of the world?
-
So James right, just now. Earlier in James he said that the
-
wisdom of the world is full of jealousy and selfishness, and Paul says the
-
same thing. Paul says the same thing two different people in The Bible refers
-
to worldly wisdom as jealous of one another and quarrel with one another. And
-
this is natural. This is our human nature, human nature. Right,
-
we will always resort to worldly wisdom. What's the best choice for me?
-
It's me. If it impacts anybody else, I don't care, it's me
-
first, right, But you know that God's wisdom is different. Okay,
-
So I know it's a lot of scripture, so I make it an infographic
-
easier, easier, okay, next, okay, So there's wisdom, there's
-
wisdom, right, there's God's wisdom and the world's wisdom. So God's wisdom,
-
what is the sauce. The source of God's wisdom is from God.
-
The source of the world's wisdom is earthly, it's sensual, it's demonic.
-
So there's three sources of the world's wisdom. First of your flesh, your
-
desires, and it can can also be demonic. What's the trait of God's
-
wisdom? Good conduct, meek and pure, peaceable, And the results of
-
God's wisdom is good fruits and righteousness. That's the results of God's wisdom,
-
all right, But the world's wisdom, right, you can see traits are
-
bitter and envy, self seeking, boast and lie, and the results is
-
confusion and every evil thing. Wow, every evil thing that means, right,
-
they just summarize everything, every evil thing. If you are resulting to
-
the world's wisdom, the result is everything bad. You know, and if
-
we look at it right, sometimes that is the case. You know,
-
that is the case. You know that the Pharisees. The Pharisees, they
-
knew the Torah or the Jewish scripture inside out. They had to memorize it.
-
But even in James right, it is it. If they lived by
-
God's wisdom, they would not have crucified Jesus. But they lived by worldly
-
wisdom. They knew the Torah, they knew God's word, but they lived
-
with worldly wisdom, and they crucified Jesus. You know. So I just
-
like whether share so we know that wisdom. We seek wisdom daily, right,
-
So I want to share a story that a day in the life of
-
our family. Okay, we every day we need to seek wisdom. And
-
I tell you it's quite amazing how many times we have to seek for wisdom.
-
So, so last week we had to go and make our passports.
-
Okay, So this is the second attemp. The first attem we went and
-
then it was we ran out on numbers, so we had to go back.
-
And then on Wednesday, last Wednesday, we went again. So we
-
we went very early, sixty te we went there. We reached there around
-
seven something. Que for the number, and then we got the number for
-
the kids. This is for the kids. For adults, of course,
-
you can do it online and then go and collect. Okay, so we
-
did a kid. So we were there early, we got our number,
-
and then finally it's time for the kids to do it. Right. So
-
one of our kids no issues when did everything well, smooth, got it
-
very fast. The second kid, right he went there, suddenly decided he
-
don't want to take photo. I tell you, you're like, what,
-
this is like something that you'll just take for granted. It's like, no,
-
it's a non issue. It's a non issue at all for most people.
-
But I'm telling you, this is a day in the life of our
-
family. It happens every day. This curing things that are normal or we
-
take for granted. Sometimes it's not. No. So we were like stressed
-
out loud, like how they doesn't want to take a photo, doesn't want
-
to take a photo then the person at the counter or so, I mean,
-
thank god, it was very patient, trying help and stuff like that.
-
Right, so I could feel my my blood boiling read you know,
-
I'm like, because I had to rush to work. I had to rush
-
to work at U took a bit at a time off. I have to
-
reach work around like say ten something, you know, and then I have
-
meetings back to back. So I was like, how then I can feel
-
my earthly wisdom is okay? How would you deal with it? I asked
-
you, how would you deal with it in this scenario? Yeah? You
-
were whacked? Right, You'll be like what the world? You know,
-
like like try and this thing? Right? And I was using all the
-
earthly wisdom, but then after a while I realized that it's not getting true.
-
It's not getting true because right, it was built on self seeking.
-
I was looking at hey, it's impacting me. You know, it's impacting
-
me. It was self thinking, it was, and it was not peaceful,
-
you know. So then finally it came out, and then talked to
-
him and stuff like that came down, but he still didn't want to take
-
so that I told you, hey, I have to go to work,
-
really have to go to office, yeah, he said. I asked him,
-
hey, how if you don't build up, don't do your passport,
-
you cannot go to Melbourne with used with us. He said, don't worry,
-
I'll build a submarine. I'm like, I'm telling you this is what
-
we have to deal with that they leave it. I really believe you,
-
know. So this is why we come to a point. Every day we
-
have different pits on and every day right we are at our limits on because
-
our wisdom and experience has no value in moving us up. So so then
-
I told you and told you just a worst case scenario. We just have
-
to go back. You know, we can't get it done because you cannot
-
face because you go there in front of the camera, he puts a monkey
-
faces. You cannot do anything. You know. There's like, yeah,
-
there is nothing you can do to face it. Nothing, there is zero,
-
I'm value and sometimes in life we might be at that situation. There
-
is nothing impossible, no experience, no amount of wisdom or advice by people
-
will get us out of that situation, you know. So so I went
-
to work. I was praying. I said, God, I only we
-
really need wisdom for you to intervene. I called my mama, so I
-
said, I really have no idea that. So this is where Jess exercised
-
much more godly wisdom than me. So sore, she was meek, fure
-
peaceable. She like tried to understand exercise compassion. It takes much longer,
-
you know. Actually, we could have got all gone home right by nineteen
-
in the morning. We could have all gone home at nineteen in the morning.
-
You know, it's just a five second thing. You know, it's
-
sometimes it's so simple. But that's our plan. And what's the reality.
-
The reality is this, you know. Yeah, so yeah, he was
-
he didn't like the flash and stuff. But what Jess had to do,
-
right ISRAELI had to exercise wisdom. And I think God for the wisdom to
-
really sort of calm him down, sort of talk to him, say the
-
right things, say the right things to understand him, uh, and to
-
to get him to a place where he is willing to do it on his
-
own. And I tell you that is a miracle. It may seem very
-
small to y'all, but to us, right that was huge. That is
-
a huge thing. You know, where God's wisdom was just imparted into jazz,
-
and she used the right words to say and just to get him to
-
to even take the photo. That's how I actually wanted to put the photo
-
there because I was like, this is a testimony, guys, this is
-
like yeah, So it was like, but I'm telling you, this is
-
this is real life, this is his real life for us. So I'm
-
telling you the challenges that we go through on a daily basis is no joke.
-
And we have come to a point right where it's like just surrender because
-
there is nothing I can do. There's nothing I can say, there's nothing
-
that we can do. We can only trust in God. God has blessed
-
us with our child. God will help us bring him up and it's no
-
longer what we do. And the funny thing is that's why I keep on
-
telling Pasta Kenna and Pasta Sendra Fast we are the wrong people to be leading
-
ex young family because we have If you know what our family is going through,
-
it's it's really not a model family. You know, we have so
-
many challenges and stuff like that. But I guess it's that's why we need
-
God's wisdom in terms of it. Yeah, so what we had to leave
-
it, we could have gone home at ninetyty, but at four pm we
-
got the passport done. So sometimes, right it God's wisdom requires not within
-
our timing, but God's timing, and it brings us through a process which
-
is painful, which is tough, but at the end of it, right,
-
the results will be good fruit and righteousness. Imagine if we just ran
-
with the world, you know, you would have gotten the photo maybe,
-
but the relationship with our child would have suffered, you know, So it
-
was more a selfish thing for us. And this is that's what I'm saying.
-
This is when we seek wisdom, right, what kind of wisdom?
-
What kind of wisdom? And I tell you we we have spoke to a
-
lot of experts, right at the end of the day, all the experts
-
actually parents know best law. I'm like, dude, don't know why I'm
-
not paying you. So that's why I say, sometimes we need God's wisdom.
-
We really need God's wisdom because we can't do it on our own.
-
Right, And we most of the time, right, we seek the world's
-
wisdom first, right, because we think a and last resort we ask God,
-
but we seek God first. We save ourselves a lot of heartache.
-
Right, So that is where the first part right, where do you seek
-
wisdom? You seek wisdom from God, don't seek wisdom from the world.
-
Okay. Next, So after you have seek right now you want to get
-
it. How do you obtain wisdom? Right you're founding? How do you
-
get it? How do you obtain okay, James one, Next, my
-
brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that
-
the testing of your faith produces patients. But let patients have its perfect work,
-
that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Okay. Next,
-
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who
-
gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
-
But let him ask in faith with no doubting, for he who doubts
-
is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
-
Right. I think we have read. If you've been in church long enough,
-
you would have read this right. And for me, I was like,
-
it seems so simple. If any of you lacks wisdom, ask and
-
He'll give it to you. And they say he will give it to you
-
willingly, willingly, So I'm like always asking God for wisdom. I'm like,
-
what's the answer, you know, giving me the wisdom. So that's
-
when when I was doing a study for this, right, I realized there
-
is more to this. This is actually conditional. This is actually conditional.
-
You know. It's although it's easier if any of your lacks wisdom, let
-
him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without a reproach.
-
It will be given to him. Right. But first of all, right,
-
we need to ask correctly. We need to ask correctly. You know,
-
God is not a genie. A lot of us treat God as a
-
genie. We're like, hey, you serve me. You, I'm asking
-
you this. You, I'm demanding you give me this. But we have
-
to come to a posture and know that God is God. Okay, So
-
let me go through a few verses next. So, the fear of the
-
Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Remember just now they say it, ask
-
of God and he will give you wisdom. But the beginning or the foundation
-
of wisdom is fear of the Lord, and the knowledge of the Holy One
-
is understanding next life nother one, sum hundred eleven, Verse ten. The
-
fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It comes out again,
-
comes out again. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, a
-
good understanding. Have all those who do these commandments His praise and yours forever?
-
Okay? Next Probabs one, verse seven. The fear of the Lord
-
is the beginning of knowledge. But few fools despise wisdom and instruction. So
-
what is the prerequisite before we ask God for wisdom? The fear of the
-
Lord. Do we have the right posture? Fear of the Lord? So
-
what is fear of the Lord? Reverence for God? Okay, next line,
-
fear of the Lord. The few scriptures mentioned fear of the Lord is
-
the foundation of wisdom. Right, But we have to understand what this fear
-
of the Lord means. Right? Are we positioning ourselves in the right place?
-
Right? Because you know that for the treasure to be unlocked, we
-
need to be ready to unlock it, and only the with the right posture
-
we can unlock it. Okay, next line? And now Israel? What
-
there's the Lord your God ask of you? But to fear the Lord your
-
God, this is you charmingly ten. So what does fear the Lord mean?
-
Walk in obedience to him, love him, to serve the Lord your
-
God, with all your heart and with all your soul. So before we
-
ask wisdom from God, do we have the fear of the Lord? Do
-
we have the fear of the Lord? Because when we are in the pit,
-
right, if we do not have the fear of the Lord, we
-
will blame God. We will. That's why a lot of people step away
-
from God because they do not have the fear of the Lord. But you
-
need the fear of the Lord so that He will give you wisdom for you
-
to go from the pit to the peak. Right, So what do you
-
need to do? Walk in obedience even in the pit, Walk in obedience
-
to him, to love him, to serve him with all your heart and
-
with all your soul. Right, um, and next light, So let
-
me show you the story of the wisest man on earth. Right according in
-
the Bible, who is it Solomon? So Solomon, first King's West three
-
Solomon showed his love for the Lord by walking according to the instructions given him
-
by his father, except that he offered sacrifices and burn incense on the high
-
place. Okay, the accept we will keep it for another sermon. Because
-
you know that he obeyed everything except one, and that also can lead to
-
a downfall. But what we want to see, what I wanted to bring
-
us across to is he showed his love for the Lord by walking into according
-
to the instructions given him by his father David. Probably he lived ninety nine
-
percent, you know, except that that one percent right, and the king
-
was for king went to Gibeon to offer sacrifices, for that was the most
-
important high place, and Solomon offered a thousand burned offerings on that altar.
-
Okay. Next at Gibeon, the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in
-
a dream, and the Lord said, ask whatever you want me to give
-
you and verse nine, So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your
-
people and to distinguish between right and wrong, For who is able to govern
-
these great people of yours? The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for
-
this. Solomon God wisdom because he first had the fear of the Lord.
-
When he had the fear of the Lord and he walked in the way of
-
love of God, God asked him for what does he want? He asked
-
for wisdom. God gave it to him. So if we want wisdom.
-
This was an eye opening thing for me because I think God, I always
-
ask for wisdom. Why I don't know what to do next or what?
-
Then? I have to check my heart. God, Am I living with
-
the fear of the Lord? Am I walking in obedience to your will?
-
Am I loving you? Am I serving you? Only? Then? Solomon,
-
God, wisdom? So do y'all want wisdom? How do you obtain
-
wisdom? Fear of the Lord? Okay? All right, so this is
-
my third point, last point. So after you get wisdom, you seek
-
wisdom. Right, you seek wisdom from God. You obtain wisdom by having
-
the fear of the Lord, and then you ask him after you get wisdom?
-
Then why correct? Next, how do I exercise wisdom? How do
-
I exercise wisdom? So a lot of us right, you read a lot?
-
Okay, you have a lot of knowledge and stuff like that. But
-
knowledge in itself, right, is not enough. You know, some of
-
the smartest people in the world might still be bankrupt. You know why?
-
Why is that? Soul? Okay, let me take us from collisions one.
-
So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you.
-
We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give
-
you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and
-
please the Lord, and your life will produce every good kind of good fruit.
-
All the while you will grow as you learn to know God better and
-
better. So there is I tellly three components. How do you exercise wisdom?
-
There is three components to it from this scripture. Okay, So the
-
first component is knowledge. First of all, you need knowledge. Okay.
-
So knowledge can exist without wisdom, but wisdom cannot exist without knowledge. You
-
know what. You can have knowledge but not have wisdom. But to have
-
wisdom you need knowledge. So first of all, we need to educate ourselves.
-
What is God telling me about my situation? What is the word of
-
God tell me in the Bible about what I'm going through? What are his
-
promises? What is He teaching me? So we need that knowledge. And
-
then the second one, after you have the knowledge, give you spiritual wisdom
-
and understanding. After you have the knowledge, right then you understand it.
-
How does that apply to me? God? I understand what you're teaching me,
-
and now I want to It becomes like a rayma word. You know,
-
it's a revelation when God speaks to you and suddenly the word comes out
-
to you and it's a revelation. You word and it opens your eyes.
-
And after it opens your eyes, what do you do? Then the way
-
you live will honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every
-
kind of good fruit. All the while you will grow and learn to know
-
that God, to know God better and better. So first you need to
-
educate yourself. After you educate yourself, you understand it, get revelation.
-
After you have the revelation, you need to live it out. You need
-
to live it out right. So I simplify this for your next night fit.
-
How do you exercise wisdom? You get fit, you need facts,
-
you need intelligence, and then you will have your transformation. It's the same
-
with working out. You know that going to the gym or working out helps
-
you. You understand by you knowing where you are at, Where am I
-
weak at, what do I need to work on? After I understand it,
-
then I live it out and then I see the transformation. So how
-
do you exercise wisdom? This is how we do it right. So when
-
we are in the pit, first of all, seek the right source of
-
wisdom, seek God, okay, and then after that we need to obtain
-
how do we obtain it, the fear of the Lord? And after we
-
obtain it, we need to use it. And by using it we will
-
get from the pit to the peak that will bring us to our next level.
-
Right. So, even as I just draw towards the close, right,
-
I just want to share a story as well in terms of it.
-
So there is this, So there's this lady. Her name is called Renee
-
n Pair Okay in the US. And what happened is her daughter was killed
-
by a drunk driver, you know, and a drunk driver was sentenced to
-
prison I think for thirty over years, right, And she was, if
-
you can imagine it, she was in a pit, right, She was
-
in a pit. She had every reason to be angry, She had every
-
reason to one this most severe punishment for the drug driver, you know.
-
But her testimony, even in her paid right, she seeks. She sought
-
after God, God, why am I going through this? What? How
-
am I going to go through this? And God just gave her such a
-
heart of compassion. You know, She's sick for wisdom because what is wisdom?
-
What is wisdom? Going through your situation the way God wants you to
-
go through That is wisdom. And in that pit she us asking God for
-
wisdom. She needed help to get through this. So what she did,
-
right is she actually forgave that guy. She forgave that guy, and she
-
went one step further. She went and actually petitioned to the judge to shorten
-
his sentencing. And because of all this, right, this drunken driver came
-
to the Lord and right now, she and this guy they go around the
-
country speaking at different schools on the dangers of drunk driving. And that can
-
only happen through the wisdom of God. Because what does earthly wisdom say.
-
Earthly wisdom says the jury and the judge says that you have every right to
-
one the most severe punishment for this person because he has inflicted harm on you.
-
But what does the wisdom of God say. The wisdom of God is
-
saying to forgive and to move forward and to restore relationships. So Church,
-
right now, in this situation, right you may be going through a pit
-
or you might be in a peak right now. But regardless, right even
-
if you are in a peak right now, you would most likely go into
-
a pit sometime in the future. Because that's real life. That's real life.
-
So let's coninue. Remember that when we are in the pit right and
-
we are going through new challenges which we have never experienced before, challenge that
-
seem too big, too impossible, stones or rocks or boulders that are immovable,
-
That's when we need God's wisdom. So seek God's wisdom, obtain it
-
by having the fear of the Lord in all our circumstances. Live with the
-
fear of the Lord, and then exercising it by being fit equip ourselves with
-
the knowledge of the Word of God. Ask God for revelation. God how
-
understand us, look for understanding, and then with that understanding live it out
-
so that we can have a transformed life and go from the pit to the
-
peak and man so church, in whatever circumstances situations, Let's just let this
-
word sink sink in, because I know this word has spoken to me and
-
like I said earlier, right, this is my devotion, this is this
-
is real life for me. This is real life for me, and I
-
know I need it to go through my next pit and to my next so
-
that I can reach my next peak. We hope you've been blessed by this
