  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts Church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day this morning. I would like to speak about the

  3. power of praise, and I want us to remember this because sometimes very easy

  4. to forget there is power in praise. And it's easy when you're all right,

  5. when you come on a Sunday and you've just praised the Lord, it's

  6. easy to go like, yeah, past, I know this. But this

  7. is not for Sunday only. This is from Monday to Saturday where we're going

  8. through tough times, challenging times, times that are you know, not so

  9. good, not so easy. It is those times that you need to know

  10. that God has taught us and has given us the knowledge that praise is key

  11. to our breakthrough. Right, So let me just start with that why I

  12. want to bring this word to you, and I'll share one or two testimonies

  13. depending on the time, and we'll see how the Lord wants to encourage you

  14. this morning. Now, let's very quickly look at the scripture. At midnight,

  15. Paul and Silas or seal Us. Paul and seal Us were praying and

  16. singing hymns to God. Praying is one thing, and I think all of

  17. us know how to pray when we need something from God, but I'm not

  18. sure whether all of us know how to sing to the Lord. And when

  19. you use the word hymns, it gives you a sense that those songs were

  20. not just modern day songs. And I've written out of a lot of emotions

  21. feelings the hymns. Doctor James would would probably nod his head in agreement,

  22. because you know, in the older days when songs came out, it was

  23. not just hymns like Amazing Grace and all that. It was very scriptural.

  24. Hymns were full of scripture. And that's why that's even how we remember scripture.

  25. We remember scriptures. It's the Christia by singing, you know. And

  26. today it's not like that very much. So I've asked Joel VJ. I've

  27. asked Jack Ling, I've asked some of our songwriters to begin to go back

  28. to drawing out scripture, to put songs together so that the church can be

  29. equipped with the Word of God, true song. So hymns were actually the

  30. Word of God in music, all right. So I want to say it

  31. to you because I need you understand that when pauland Silas or Silas was h

  32. praising the Lord there in the midst of the dungeon. It was the darkest

  33. place. They put pauland Silas or Silas in the darkest dungeon, deep so

  34. that you know, nobody could reach them. So some of you could also

  35. feel like that today, you could feel like you're in the darkest, most

  36. confusing state or crossroad in your life. Well, I got good news for

  37. you. There is a way out of that, and the way is the

  38. way of praise. So I don't just want you to end up knowing how

  39. to pray. I want all of you to know again and be reminded that

  40. it's not just pray, but it's got to end sing hims to God.

  41. And what happened was the prisoners were listening to them, you know. I

  42. pray that your neighbors will start hearing some praise that will come out of your

  43. house. I pray that your colleagues at work will start hearing you praise the

  44. Lord even though your company is going through a hard time. I pray that

  45. the people around you will start to hear some praises coming out from your mouth.

  46. Even in times of difficulty. Somebody say Amen suddenly, and I love.

  47. The words suddenly is because every time you see the word suddenly, God

  48. is about to move. There was a great earth quake so that the foundations

  49. of the prison were shaken. I pray that the foundations of your prison will

  50. also be shaken. Can I hear a great amen? Today? Let it

  51. be today and immediately all the doors the prison doors will open. I pray

  52. that your prison doors also will be open today in Jesus name. And everyone's

  53. chains were loose. I prophesy in Jesus name that your chains will also be

  54. loose in Jesus name. But how did it start? It started with prayer

  55. and singing of hymns prayer. A lot of us don't need to be reminded.

  56. We go like, oh yeah, every time we are in trouble,

  57. we pray, of course, we pray. Must we pray. We pray

  58. like med We pray ten times, we pray a hundred times. We come

  59. out for all the callers many times we can, so that people can pray

  60. for us. And that is good, that's included. But how many of

  61. us will take another step deeper and praise the Lord? So in Jesus' name

  62. again, I want to say, may the foundations of the prison in your

  63. life be shaken. May those doors be open, and may chains fall to

  64. the ground. Can I hear a good amen? One more time? Praise

  65. the Lord. You know, I heard a funny story by a very good

  66. story many years ago a preacher was preaching on this scripture and he said,

  67. a little bird came into the prison cell. And then Paul and Silas was

  68. singing. I don't know what song. Maybe they just say they sang,

  69. pray the Lord, Oh my soul, Pray the Lord. And a bird,

  70. you know, started to flat its wing and then he started singing with

  71. Paul and silence, and you know that there was a beat, you know,

  72. Pray the Lord. And then the bird started flying away from the prison

  73. and going higher and higher, and he went up to heaven and God said,

  74. oh, I can hear someone singing. And the angel said to God,

  75. it's a bird. It's a little bird that just came down, or

  76. rather came up from the earth, or bring the little bird in. And

  77. the little bird started coming into God's presence and he started flapping his wings and

  78. started saying pray. And then the angels went like, oh, that's a

  79. good tune. That's a good sound, and he come nearer. I hear,

  80. come nearer, and the bird came nearer to God. And then God

  81. heard, Oh pray, and God loved the tune so much he started tapping

  82. his feet. And because the Bible says the earth is God's footstool, that's

  83. how the earthquake happened. Halladey ah phrase God. Okay, so come out,

  84. put a beat on God's feet today. Amen with your praise, and

  85. let those prison doors you know, began to open because God is happy with

  86. your praise. Now let's move deeper. Let's go into the next scripture.

  87. This one. I want to remind you. The Bible says you are holy,

  88. Oh God, and throne in the praises of Israel. I love this

  89. word so much because it's the word of God and one. So it's true

  90. that when we praise God, he is enthroned, he is glorified, he

  91. is lifted up. But even more importantly, he comes and he builds.

  92. Let's just say this Poopit is a throne. God sits on this throne.

  93. Right now. We all know that this throne is in heaven. All of

  94. us know that our father, who are in heaven, Hello be thy name.

  95. But suddenly, in your darkness and in your trouble, and in your

  96. distress and in your depression, you don't feel like singing. But then your

  97. pastor thought and you took it back with you and go like, I'm gonna

  98. try this. I'm gonna just stop praising the Lord anyway. You know what

  99. happens. His throne is not just in heaven now, He builds it right

  100. there in your praise. And suddenly, in your darkness as you praise the

  101. Lord, a throne is being built. And God now is not just seated

  102. in heaven above, he is seated in your praise. He has just come

  103. upon you now. Another scripture in the KJV King James version uses the word

  104. inhabits that means God dwells, he comes and lives in our praise. Somebody

  105. say, amen, he lives, he comes, he stays, He sticks

  106. to your praise, He abides in your praise. He lives in your praise.

  107. He dwells in your praise. Why is it important? Because it's not

  108. just our father who are in heaven, which is true, is our Father

  109. who's just next to me, our Father who's just upon me. You're with

  110. me. And God wants to be with us. That's why he said.

  111. You know, when Jesus was born, he said, you shall call his

  112. name Emmanuel. Why God with us? God never just wanted to be in

  113. heaven up high. You know, a lot of people know that God is

  114. in heaven, even the Buddhist, no, even the Muslims know. Everybody

  115. knows that he's in heaven. But as a Christian, we know that he's

  116. in heaven and on earth, especially when we praise him. There is no

  117. prison that can keep him out. God doesn't need visiting ours. He doesn't

  118. need the warden's permission. As soon as you start praising God in the place

  119. that you're at, whether it be good or bad, bright or dark,

  120. God inhabits. God comes and say, hey, I hear praise. Let's

  121. go build our throne there. And so the next slight says, the enemy

  122. isn't afraid of our praise. He's afraid of God's presence. You said,

  123. pasta, is he just singing that does it? No? He's not just

  124. singing that does it. He's not afraid of ex church songs. He's not

  125. afraid of heal songs. He's not afraid of Bethel songs. He's not afraid

  126. of any song. In fact, can I tell you what? The devil

  127. is a chief musician. He loves songs, he loves music. He loves

  128. a full band if you can get it. He loves an orchestra, if

  129. you get it, he loves it. And sometimes we think all less we

  130. have a full band. The devil doesn't flee because of a full band.

  131. At can you add one? More onemo? Trumpeter, more s excephonies.

  132. I love music. You think it's your music that drives him away. You

  133. think it's the big orchestra, the drummer that drums. No, no,

  134. it's not even your voice. Why do I say that? Because I guess

  135. only we We just lunge X brick Fields X break Fields is powered by the

  136. Deaf Community Allow. I walked into the Deaf Community church. What happened?

  137. I entered the first leader's briefinger in the morning, A silent on silent because

  138. they're all deaf and they're signing. But I thought you, yeah, I

  139. thought you a few things, right? This is what again? Chicken paw

  140. paw pow fish ball. Okay, so I caught you? This reallya tao?

  141. Remember how a man? Remember? So I've learned a few things.

  142. How do you say, my law is again my law? Okay? So

  143. yeah, always a sign language. But is the devil afraid of voice or

  144. the volume of your voice, then he will he will never be afraid of

  145. the deaf community. Church. Are you with me? So you you didn't

  146. understand, because uh, sometimes you know, even as peaches and passes,

  147. we think a booming voice will get the devil out. Hello. I don't

  148. think you can be louded in the devil. I think his voice is louded

  149. in yours. So what is he afraid of? Your media? Oh?

  150. Wonderful media? So the devil fleet because of your media? Is fleet?

  151. Even the right word? Oh Rachel is not? Anyways? Fleet? And

  152. anyway there's another English teacher here would probably say maybe Christians. Oh flat,

  153. And I knew he was wrong. He's all afraid of our style. You're

  154. not even afraid of his suit and tie. You're not afraid of that.

  155. It's not afraid of your music. Got drums, no drums. He's not

  156. afraid. He's afraid because God came. He's afraid because in his presence there

  157. is liberty. How do we get liberated? He came, He came and

  158. He's now enthroned in the praises of his people, and so the devil flees.

  159. That's correctly, and I believe he fled as Albert was leading us in

  160. praise. He's afraid of God's presence, and that's why. Also the Bible

  161. says, in his presence is fullness of joy, and the joy of the

  162. Lord is how strength next one, Okay, let's go deeper. Can I

  163. go deeper? All right? Psalm one hundred US four. You should memorize

  164. this very good verse, to mayorize the Bible says, and his gates with

  165. thanksgiving and into his courts with praise. A lot of Christians I know have

  166. told me before pastor this last one month, I haven't felt his presence.

  167. I try everything, I haven't felt his presence. I prayed, prayed,

  168. pray, so haven't felt his presence. As for the last year, I

  169. haven't felt God's presence. I can't do church even you know. So I

  170. tell you all, you can go to the best church in the world.

  171. Also, if you don't get this right, you will never get it right.

  172. Okay. So I want to remind us the way we enter God's presence

  173. is thanksgiving and the Bible doesn't say anything else about how we should enter His

  174. presence. It must be with thanksgiving, and so a lot of Christians I

  175. know, and I've done it before, so I understand this. We are

  176. so troubled that as soon as we enter or try to enter God's presence,

  177. we come with our trouble first. We have got so many complaints. We

  178. come with our complaints first. You know, we get down on our knees.

  179. If you ever get down our knees, and we say, God,

  180. you are you know what happened? Like God? You know why? God

  181. you know? And the Bible doesn't tell us. We enter by complaint or

  182. enter by telling him our troubles and our problems. I have an automatic gait.

  183. Some of you're living in apartments. You don't have that. But I

  184. have a gate, and my remote control obeys me. As soon as I

  185. press my remote control, the gate opens, I can drive. I haven't

  186. even come near my my houser maybe about well near enough, about maybe twenty

  187. meters he works a day. Okay, I press the gate opens, the

  188. gate opens. I want to challenge you to come near to my house and

  189. use your remote control. Rogers Rogers or rogers goes around checking is it ready?

  190. He can over He said, oh, okay, okay, so maybe

  191. we should ask Rogers to come to my house and test this theory out.

  192. But most of the time, nineteen nine point ninety nine percent, your remote

  193. controller opens, your door doesn't open. Mind, But do you get what

  194. I'm trying to say, a lot of us are trying to open God's gate

  195. without all remote control. Complain more, hire, why isn't my gate opening

  196. my remote control? Because we use our remote control, not God's. God

  197. wants to use his remote control and his thanksgiving. And as soon as you

  198. enter with thanksgiving. Oh you know, there's another scripture in Philippines, Chapter

  199. four, be anxious for nothing, verse six, be anxious for nothing but

  200. in everything by prayer and supplication. Oh yeah, so we want to pray,

  201. we want to supplicate. But then he goes on to say with thanksgiving.

  202. So even if you are to bring your prayer to the latter, you've

  203. got to bring it with have to have to, or you will never enter

  204. to not use your old remote control, he won't work on God's gate.

  205. You enter his gates with thanks giving, you have to. You have to.

  206. Some you can't give thanks for a lot of things because you're so down,

  207. you're so you know distress, you're so challenged in life is dark,

  208. it's difficult, and yet I'm sure you can find a way to thank God.

  209. So this is important. Use God's remote control thanksgiving. So I told

  210. you before, I tell you again sometimes that I don't have accunt thing of

  211. anything you thank go for because so many troubles and so many decisions, so

  212. busy, so stressor and God still say you will not enter true stress and

  213. his gaze with stress, no, and his gaze we complain, no,

  214. and his gaze with whatever. With my old remote control no, no,

  215. and his gage with Lord, I thank you that I can wake up this

  216. morning. Every morning, Lord, I think I wake up. I get

  217. up from bit let it my first sit up? Yeah, I finished my

  218. seat up at night. When I go back every day, do at least

  219. what exercise? Sit up, nighttime, sit down? Okay, one sit

  220. up a day, I said, not, thank you there, I can

  221. wake up because some people cannot get up from bait. Got bad sauce.

  222. Then I get up from bait. I stand up. It can stand because

  223. some people cannot stand, you know. I go to the hospital visitation I

  224. can see some people can't stand without a walker, can't stand. Then I

  225. walk to the bathroom. I can walk war. Then I go and use

  226. the toilet. I don't want to be so detailer, but you understand that.

  227. Then it flows, It flows, all edward flows without pain. Whoa,

  228. I put my hands. I'm over here. WHOA. I said,

  229. thank you Lord. The plumbing works, not just outside plumbing. Inside plumbing

  230. works. A la lujah because inside the plumbing, God, you don't know

  231. what what's wrong with it? Right, hallelujah, Praise God. And then

  232. I go to my room. I have a prayer room. I said,

  233. thank you for this beautiful prayer room. I get down on my knees right

  234. for you know, probably about four minutes. I get on my knees,

  235. and I said, Lord, thank you my niece working today, because some

  236. people, our niece can over work. My wife just complained to me last

  237. week. My niece paying fuller. Got sound. That's it got sounds over

  238. me. Thank you Lord. And even when you start taking God now with

  239. a few things, that it just keeps rolling. Now you got more things.

  240. Oh whah, some jo I have clothes to wear, but let me

  241. go deeper because it doesn't just stop there. You realize that that praise actually

  242. is a deeper thing. Early on we realized that Paul and Silas pray and

  243. saying and praise. So don't just stop at pray, and don't just stop

  244. at Thanksgiving, because praise always gets you deeper. Pray always takes you further

  245. further than your feelings, because sometimes you don't feel like praising deeper, further,

  246. higher, how his cauds. So there's a gates. There's something in

  247. life, in Christian life called the gates. How do you enter Thanksgiving?

  248. But you just stay there? No, you've gotta praise because now as you

  249. praise, praise the Lord. I don't really feel like it, but praise

  250. the Lord. I don't understand what's happening in my life, but praise the

  251. Lord. See, if you just go by old understanding, you always just

  252. stop. Hear me, But the Bible says, trust in the Lord with

  253. all your heart, lean not on your own understanding in all your ways.

  254. Acknowledge Him, and he shall direct your path Proverbs three, verse five and

  255. six. But we don't go deepersy, So don't lean on your own your

  256. own understanding. We just are o kailer, you know this is the Endler

  257. no Hopeler, I don't know what to I don't have the money. Like

  258. okay, you old understanding. But as you start to praise the Lord,

  259. praise, I don't feel like it. By praise, what happened with even

  260. without you knowing, is you're going deeper into the place called the courts.

  261. And many Christians don't find themselves in the courts. And because you're not in

  262. the courts, you don't get your prayers answered the way it should be.

  263. Let me show you very very quickly the next portion of scripture Esther, you

  264. remember esthernal Esther was the queen who heard that there was an evil plot by

  265. a Haman, and Hamman wanted to annihilate the whole Jewish people with me.

  266. But there was a man called Mordecai, and Mordecai came to Esther. Esther

  267. actually thought she was safer in the palace. But Mordecai says, hey,

  268. if you don't do this, God will raise up somebody else. Yes,

  269. Esther, who knows that you were born for such a time as this was

  270. famous phrase? And what is did Esther say? We don't know what we

  271. sometimes don't quote what Esther said as to said, if I perish, I

  272. perish. So there was a bonus and a courage on Esther to say,

  273. this is the right thing to do. I will do it. If I

  274. die, I die. Because there's a lord that says, if the king

  275. doesn't call you a you cannot come. He must call you. And if

  276. you just show up, ah, you can be killed. So Esther knew

  277. this law. And yet the Bible says she on the third day of the

  278. fast, she put on her royal robes and stood in the way. There's

  279. a place in our lives called the court. It is not just the gates.

  280. Sometimes we think that God will answer you at the gates. No,

  281. the gates is only just beginning. Thanksgiving gets you there. But please,

  282. my dear brothers and sisters, in the law that I loved so my that

  283. I believe, if I can give you this and you can use it,

  284. you will go deeper. You will breakthrough some things in your life that you

  285. haven't been able to break through. Just by prayer and by thanksgiving, God

  286. was to take you deeper. So Esther didn't just go to the gates because

  287. she couldn't be seen at the gates. If you want to be seen by

  288. God, you have to come to His courts, and courts is the inner

  289. place, far beyond the gates. And a lot of Christians don't find themselves

  290. in the courts because the only way to get to the courts is praise,

  291. praise. So I encourage all of you, yeah, all of us enter

  292. his gates. Thank you, Lord, thank you Lord, Thank you Lord,

  293. Thank you Lord, thank you Lord. Oh God, I thank you

  294. for everything that you've done. And then you might say, oh God,

  295. but my life is miserable, My life is terrible, and I don't know

  296. what to do, and sometimes I think about all kinds of thoughts, and

  297. Lord, I want to give up. And so thanksgiving God to you to

  298. the gates. And then now you think, okay, let's just give you

  299. a petition. That immediately give you a petition, And God says, no,

  300. no, no, no, that's a deeper place, my son.

  301. Huh, I don't know. I just passed your gates. Where do I

  302. go? Now? Just keep on praising me. Oh okay, Lord,

  303. even though I want to give up, but I praise you that you never

  304. give up on me. Even though I don't know what to do, I

  305. praise you because you know what to do. Even though Lord, I'm lost,

  306. but in you I'm found. And you keep praising God. And then

  307. you find yourself in this place called the courts, and there the King sees

  308. you as he sees Esther. And the King lifts up his scepter, and

  309. Esther draws near, and Esther, it says, in the next slight ester

  310. five was one of the tree. And the King held out to Esther the

  311. golden scepter that was in his hand because he saw her, you see,

  312. and there was favor. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the

  313. sceptor. So listen, I want to remind you that in God's presence,

  314. they are levels. That's why even in the temple there was the outer courts,

  315. inner courts. Remember, there was the Holy of Holies. In God's

  316. plan, in his mind, he works like that, there is a place

  317. of outer A lot of Christians are there expecting for a miracle. I don't

  318. know what to do. Then sudenly someone teaches them thanksgiving. Okay, thank

  319. you for teaching me that our thank God. And then someone else teaches you

  320. the courts of the Lord, the courts of the Lord. And then esther.

  321. After being seen and the sceptor was lifted up, she went even nearer

  322. to touch the scepter. So there's another near a place. And that's why

  323. when we call for all the call and call for people, how many of

  324. you to a church where the altar court is behind? The alto call is

  325. always front, because there is the concept of God that you can draw nearer

  326. to the Lord. Those people who are back sliden or not in church?

  327. Do you see them sitting in front of the back There's a reason, because

  328. there is you know, there is this levels with God. And so of

  329. course finally the back sladen will if you know they are totally frustrated, they

  330. will leave and go even further. And when they are revived, they come

  331. nearer until so near, until they can even touch God as it will.

  332. Are you also with me? Now you understand why sometimes I will put some

  333. of our prayers don't get answered, some about the break truths that we want

  334. don't really happen. Is because oh, it's only praise they can get us

  335. there. Only praise they can get us there. All right, everybody,

  336. okay, okay, So let me give you one more scripture Isaiah sixty one,

  337. verse three the Bible says, to console those who mourning Zion, to

  338. give them beauty for ashes. Wow, you know, God wants to do

  339. a great exchange with us today, the oil of joy for mourning. Are

  340. you crying? Are you morning? Are you down? For some reason?

  341. God wants to exchange with you today the oil of joy. And then he

  342. says the garment of praise, says very quickly, just for one minute,

  343. I just want to talk about that Esther hasn't seen her husband, the king

  344. for six months, I think, and you would think that she should come

  345. before the king with something a little bit more succeed, you know, because

  346. my husband hasn't touched me. I haven't touched him. Maybe let's go and

  347. entice him. Let me wear some really nice lingerie and stand before the courts,

  348. and the king goes, whoa baby, I miss you, you know.

  349. No, the Bible says, she dressed her royal robes. I really

  350. believe, friends, that there is such a thing called the garment of praise

  351. where you put on an attitude, where you put on a posture, and

  352. don't just come in comfortably, like you know, God was your best friend.

  353. I had a friend, a pastor friend who is now in his sixties.

  354. He said to me, he grew up with the Kalantan prince. They

  355. were friends, Albert Isaac his grandfather. I can't remember what Isaac, but

  356. they have a road called after his grandfather's name in Kalantan, so very close

  357. to royalty. But when the Kalantan Prince finally became the king some years ago

  358. in Malaysia, the king invited Albert and said, hey, word, come,

  359. you know, I know it's his coronation or something. And Albert said

  360. to me something. He learned something when he was putting up, when he

  361. was thinking about what to dress. He said this, this Clanthon Prince.

  362. I used to play Gooli with him, marbles. I used to, you

  363. know, go into the drains with him. You know, we used to

  364. fight sometimes I will push the Kranton Prince. He will push me because we

  365. were just boys. And then he said this, now I'm going to see

  366. the king. I cannot wear jeans. A lot of us treat God like

  367. a friend, but there are times we need to treat him like a king,

  368. and we need to dress. And I'm not just talking about dressing.

  369. I'm talking about the attitude, the mindset, also with me and Albert sid

  370. this with me personally, is it I learned something about dressing for the Lord.

  371. We might be best friends with Jesus, but never never take here for

  372. granted. Dress in an attitude of honor and worship and praise because he's the

  373. King of kings and the Lord of lords. Everybody. Okay, praise takes

  374. us deeper, That's what the next flight says, and I want you to

  375. believe it takes us higher, further into things that we never thought possible.

  376. Now, the next light says, praise with the word. So I come

  377. back to that because early on I said, hymns are songs of scripture,

  378. and we need to come back to scripture, whether we are singing it or

  379. not. So I want to encourage all of you to go home with a

  380. word from the Lord and take that word and praise him for the whole week

  381. and see where you end up. I believe you will end up higher,

  382. deeper, further. If you believe it. Say amen. So let me

  383. give you the next scripture and then tell you the testimony. The next scripture

  384. is found in Psalms one, verse eight to nine. It is better to

  385. trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to

  386. trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princess. This is the word

  387. of the Lord, and the word was given to me to use for twenty

  388. one days. You remember uted twenty one days. Now, let me give

  389. you the backstory. About two years ago, I was in my prayer room

  390. and I was looking out my window and I saw something that I seen for

  391. ten years already. But that morning the Lord made me see something very ugly.

  392. And sometimes I tell you in life, you can actually accept things that

  393. you shouldn't be accepting. One all right, but you've just grown god down

  394. numb. So I have on my upstairs first floor, outside my room and

  395. unfinished renovation. Okay, there were dirty looking rusted rods still sticking out because

  396. once upon a time I wanted to finish the renovation, but I had no

  397. money. Okay, so I waited. I say, God, when you

  398. provide, I will build it. I will finish it. One morning the

  399. Lord made me look outside, make me a little bit disgusted with what I

  400. saw. I said, Kenneth, finish it. The word was so clear

  401. to me, Kenneth finish it. So I immediately in my heart said God,

  402. But I don't have the money. When I looked into my bank account,

  403. I think there was probably like four thousand ringing at that time, two

  404. years ago, four thousand ring I said, Lord, what can I do

  405. with this? The Lord says, if I order, I will pay.

  406. And so I said, God, you're ordering me to do this? He

  407. says, yes, because your neighbors now know that you're past. I don't

  408. want them to think that your God cannot provide. So it's for my honor,

  409. it's for my glory. Do you know that somebody's got to ask you

  410. to do things, and not for you, for him? And he says,

  411. your house is probably the ugliest house on the street, but your God

  412. is the greatest God. It doesn't jive finish it. So I struggle.

  413. I must tell you. I struggle because I knew it was going to be

  414. expensive. Anyway, I've learned to obey when I need to obey, even

  415. though I struggle. I may have you struggles, Ah, struggle, but

  416. you know the word has come. And so the Lord says to me,

  417. uh, you know, because I said, God, I don't know how

  418. where do I start? He says, start to draw the give it a

  419. vision? Without vision, my people perish, so give it a vision.

  420. And I remember, I said, Lord, who will draw this for me?

  421. No, architect is very expensive, and he said, call Daniel Saleng.

  422. I didn't know so clear, so I picked up the phone. Hey

  423. Daniel, sorry to bother. You are so no brother, But I'm just

  424. uh five minutes away from your house. I said, how come? So

  425. I'm just driving past. I'm going back to Klang. But you caught me

  426. just in time to turn. So God provides. So he turns, comes

  427. to my house. He hears my dream and he draws a vision. And

  428. the vision is even better than the dream. Very nice looking house. I'll

  429. we call him Denzel for sure, brother in law to Sunny. Yeah that

  430. day two years ago. No license to be archie, that yet, okay,

  431. so cheaper, I'm kidding. He actually drew for free because I counted

  432. like a real privilege to serve you. And so I said, thank you

  433. so much. Zel. Of course today he's got license in the here,

  434. so you got to pay him. He's surviving on his own. He's he's

  435. like on his own anyway. Then I said, okay, Lord, I

  436. got a drawing. It's very nice. Thank you, he says, now

  437. start I said, okay, which contractors who I use? Just used one

  438. as reliable, caught the contractor in looked at the drawing, quoted me two

  439. hundred thousand ring it. I almost fell off my chair snee, but God

  440. ordered so I obey. I said, Lord, I don't even have the

  441. capital or you know, the deposit or the starting uh funds, because the

  442. contractor said, I only need that seven thousand ringing to start. He only

  443. needed. However, you know four thousand and three seven thousand is a bit

  444. of a distance. Yeah, how may you know that even if it's five

  445. thousands of two distance? Seven thousands two discerns? He said, uh,

  446. because I think it caused me pasted this contractor that we have. His name

  447. is Kent Ken is a good anyway, he said to me passer two hundred

  448. thousand. I know, but I only need when something people say only need.

  449. You don't know your situation though, anyway, So I pray, I

  450. said, Lord, how am I going to do this? I've been living

  451. by faith for thirty years now, no salary for thirty years. I've seen

  452. God move over and over again. You see how God fed me so well?

  453. So God is good and so God, I said, God. And

  454. you know, this is what I learn from the Lord. And when he

  455. wants to do something, he doesn't throw money from heaven when it's too easy

  456. for him. He always used men because the man or the woman that he

  457. uses are he will also bless. He is like a privilege to be used

  458. in the project. Now because you stand so, I said, God,

  459. is there a man you're going to use? He says, yes, I

  460. already have his name in mind. So he put his name in my mind.

  461. Before that, I was thinking about about four or five men, one

  462. particular multi millionaire. I was thinking about you. Maybe I should write to

  463. him, because the last time I met him, about six months ago,

  464. he said, I was again, if anytime you have any ne just write

  465. to me. So I remember writing to him for a need here in a

  466. legacy. He didn't reply. Then I wrote to him about something else,

  467. I think about our football academy. No reply. You know, sometimes people

  468. will tell you write to me any time, but he didn't tell you that

  469. he will reply anytime. You don't say so he was. He probably not

  470. wrong. He's not Wronger. Now you know why I got gave him the

  471. scripture. It is better to trust in the Lord than to book confidence in

  472. man. So I really don't know. So anyway, finally the Lord made

  473. me know. He says, this is the name you write to him.

  474. I prepared his heart your go will prepare your heart when you are the men

  475. and you're the woman. If you're not, don't try to knock the door

  476. down. Now, even though they are billionaire, don't try to knock the

  477. door down, because if it's not, no, it's not the all right.

  478. So I went up to this brother eight with him, and we were

  479. having good fellowship. And finally, brother, the reason why I came to

  480. see you is because of this. So I told him the whole story and

  481. told him I prayed and the Lord put your name in my heart. So

  482. the only reason I'm coming to you is because I just want to know whether

  483. you are that man you look at me. He said, A passa,

  484. don't worry about it. Consider it settled. I will help you with the

  485. payment of this building. Well, hallelujah, praise God on because God already

  486. prepared his heart. So I went back, and about two weeks later he

  487. signed the check of fifty thousand ringing for me. All right, So now

  488. I have more than thirty seven so I said, can come, you know,

  489. and when I gave him the check, Ida, I was so thankful,

  490. and I was so thankful, saying, oh God, thank you.

  491. Then as he started the job, weeks went by and I saw no money.

  492. I saw no money. Weeks went by, I saw money and can

  493. I think he was hoping that I will pay him again. But he didn't

  494. say very much. Sometimes he just shows me I won money face. I

  495. don't know how it looks, but like, hey, no, no,

  496. he didn't do thatta. So anyway, then Elder King, yah, who

  497. is my middle man? Elder King? I said, I think pastor,

  498. he's thinking of the next forty thousand. I'm like, wow. So this

  499. brother who gave me the first fifty thousand invited me to come and minister among

  500. you know, his people. So I went, I said, wow,

  501. thank you Lord for this invitation. Now I can ask him again. And

  502. as I was going on the losses, do not say a word because you

  503. said he wants it. He said he wants it. Itch kobla, why

  504. are you reminding for or? I don't know. Now. Sometimes a lot

  505. will ask you to remind our people. Sometimes no need to remind, okay,

  506. So I am going. I am ministring with his brother. So I'm

  507. ministring ministring two days. The third day is coming where I fly back and

  508. the brother takes me. You know, I'm my heart saying okay, God,

  509. I can't ask him right, don't even say a word. Please,

  510. don't also give you any updates. You know sometimes that we don't ask for

  511. money. You know, by the way, my house is doing very well.

  512. You know. Don't don't do any drop shot, don't do any smash

  513. okay, not okay, jazz praise. So in the car we've reached the

  514. airport. Right, my heart is beating fast out cannot say anything, so

  515. I want to say under my breath. And then I got to come out

  516. of the car slowly like it was slow motion. Then he took my back

  517. out of his boot fast. Can thank you for come me? I said,

  518. you are welcome, brother, And I was about to turn my bag

  519. has wheels. I was about to see the step and then he holds my

  520. hand, turns me around. I forgot to give you this boom white envelope.

  521. Well, I believe it was my offering for speaking in his church.

  522. It was a very big offering, another fifty thousand ring. It okay,

  523. praise the Lord. So I only of us don't open the envelope in front

  524. of him that right now, we say thank you very much. Rather and

  525. then as you're waiting for your plan in the waiting room, open cry,

  526. I cried, said Lord. You know lah, we don't have to always

  527. try our own strength, own wisdom. And so one hundred thousand ear right,

  528. okay. For the next four months, no news. And the building

  529. against is being built, and ken is like building it, and sometimes I

  530. is building it. He's looking through my window to see what I mean or

  531. not. And then the face comes again, the expect payment again. Okay.

  532. Now, I'm remember one time, you know, I really by bank

  533. account went down to two thousand ring it, and I remember I wanted to

  534. give him something just to appease him. And that Sunday, I think every

  535. remember uh and Edward. Remember I was speaking somewhere else, but the Lord

  536. told me, Kenneth, you got your offering for Sunday right, go back

  537. to church, go back to cake and give it. But in KK I

  538. was late because I was speaking somewhere else. So I rushed because I wanted

  539. to put my offering in. Now you him, he might be saying,

  540. past it, you don't get salary or what's your offering? What's ten percent?

  541. Now I just put I just give to the rope whatever he puts on

  542. my heart. So I I got here and I saw Edward was Edward says

  543. post so good to see you. Ten more minutes left right to ten.

  544. The deserve ten more minutes left to finish, I said, Edward. The

  545. first thing I thought about I was my offering. Edward says, Pastor.

  546. We counted a ready in my face to Edward, I don't care because the

  547. Lord's you know that the Lord wants to do a miracle in my life.

  548. He reminded me put your offering in, put by faith. And then so

  549. Edward, you know, so I went to you couldn't see Erin because Erin

  550. really are like she's backing up my day. So I went to Erin,

  551. I says, Sister, my offering, She said, past counter Edi.

  552. I took her hand, I put the offering into her hand. I said

  553. bye, and then uh. Twenty four hours later, a lady from this

  554. church Corpassendra. I said, uh, Passendra, I'm very blessed financially this

  555. one. Can I give you something? Passender? Look at me, he

  556. can. Kenneth, there is someone who I said, no, no,

  557. no, dawn't, especially when it comes from our church. Doesn't seem bathing

  558. money. I don't. So the lady had to call seven more times over

  559. the course of twenty four more hours. No, God told me I must

  560. give. God told me I must give. So I say, if God

  561. says so, then give her. Right. So she gave three thousand ringed

  562. and three thousand ring kid is No, I gave three hundred for my offering,

  563. and so it's ten percent of that. And so I took all three

  564. thousand and I gave it to Ken. I said, can and he's got

  565. something after the former's ever gave me anything more. So Ken three thousand.

  566. You look, oh, thank you. I thought it was going to be

  567. thirty thousand by anyway, Thank you. So I was really down, and

  568. I said, when is this brother gonna contact me? Because the Lord kept

  569. saying, don't contact him, don't pressure him. Can Earth just trust me?

  570. I said, I trust you, Lord, I trust you, but

  571. the payment coming soon, I think, please help And then I says,

  572. I am helping you. I gave you one hundred eady right, I gave

  573. you one hundred thousand and eighty. Can't you trust me for the other hundred?

  574. I can by just taking a bit too long. Then God said,

  575. take this scripture. It is better to trust in the Lord and the confidence

  576. in man. It is better to trust in Lord and to put confidence in

  577. Princess. Take this scripture and praise me for twenty one days. So during

  578. the U turn, every day, I did not think about the building.

  579. I did not think about Kent. I did not think about this man who's

  580. supposed to give me some help. I just thought about the Lord. Twenty

  581. one days. Every morning. It is better to trust in the Lord to

  582. put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord and to

  583. put confidence in Princess every day, sometimes three times a day, sometimes five

  584. times a day. Every time I feel a litt bit downer, the liberty

  585. scatter, it is better to trust in the Lord that the poor confidence in

  586. man. I'm not ordering my little eyes. I'm just doing it, okay.

  587. It is better to trust in the Lord that the pod confidence in man.

  588. I'm shivering because actually I'm scared while saying it. It is better to

  589. trust in the Lord. The twenty second day means a day after you turn

  590. this brother calls me. Ah ah, I said, thank you for the

  591. call. He says, come pasta, let's have a meal. I said,

  592. amen, what do you want to eat? Anything you want to eat,

  593. Let's go. So we talk and he's telling me testimonies after testimonies,

  594. and then towards the end, I said, uh, anyway, brother,

  595. regarding my renovations, and he said he stopped me there. He said,

  596. pass Acadatha's exactly what I want to talk to you about. He says,

  597. I know I promised you and I will help you. Now. I never

  598. thought it was a promise now, but since you said it, a hollow

  599. you eat is a promise. Better keep to it. Those I promised you

  600. that I'll help you. But the things that happened the last four or five

  601. months pass have been so tough on me, he said. He says,

  602. I have been scraping the barrel of my bank account because he's got huge projects,

  603. a lot of stuff, and things were not moving, so he had

  604. to pay from his own pocket, and so he said this to me.

  605. You know, his own words are, I was so embarrassed that I cannot

  606. fulfill my promise to you. I was so embarrassed, Pastor, I couldn't

  607. even call you. I couldn't even talk to you. I was embarrassed.

  608. I wanted to let you know something. You might think that people are very

  609. rich, very strong waves way there, but they have their own problems as

  610. well. They have their own difficulties. They have their own days that they

  611. go through their own darkness. With me, you don't judge people, and

  612. don't judge people. People have their days, even the strongest pastor have their

  613. days. Be merciful, be compassionate, be understanding, be patient. That's

  614. why God didn't allow me to call him, because then it would add to

  615. his embarrassment. Right I would know. I would have forced him in,

  616. you know, and he probably might have borrowed from somebody, So God knows

  617. what he's doing. Then he said to me, Pastor Kenneth, there are

  618. four parcels of land I have that have been waiting for two to three years

  619. to sell. One is even a beach front in a particular popular beach area,

  620. and I own the best beach front. It's probably about twenty million if

  621. I get to sell it. He says. He couldn't sell for three years

  622. four parcels of land, but he said in the last twenty one days to

  623. a month. He didn't know I was prayinger he did. I wasn't even

  624. praying. I was praising. I was using this word and just praising the

  625. Lord. It is better than trust in the Lord. I was praising.

  626. And he said to me, without me telling him that I was doing this,

  627. twenty one days, he said to me, passecandeth I thought, just

  628. to sell one piece of lanner, I would be very blessed. I sold

  629. all four, all four in the in justice last one month, one after

  630. the other of passacondath. God made away, so I don't know better,

  631. to the tune of fifty million or whatever it is. He sold all his

  632. parcels that he wanted to sow. And now his face is lighted up.

  633. He himself has no more stress because now it's easy. And then some other

  634. contracts are happening. You know, the government is calling him or so for

  635. different things. So he said, Pastor Kenna's just the last month. I

  636. smiled in my heart where like God, only you knew you wanted me to

  637. praise, not just for myself, but for him. Do you understand that

  638. sometimes when we praise God, someone else is also getting a bridgerue? Someone

  639. else especially the people that were called to help you. They are also,

  640. so don't be so selfish. It's not always about us. It's about the

  641. people around us. When you praise, their prisons are opening, their ground

  642. is shaking. Are you with me? And their chains are falling? And

  643. that's the power of God. All I did twenty one days was praise the

  644. Lord, but not in singing, just the word praise, praise, praise.

  645. So then I went to Bosana. He says, Pastor Kenneth, I'm

  646. going to fulfill my promise to you. I came out from Botswana, I

  647. came to church, wanted to give my tithe on the on on online.

  648. You know, I knew I was left with something like you know, I

  649. don't know two thousand plus three thousand, and I said, okay, what

  650. do you want Lord? And lot says give me ten percent and I say

  651. okay. So I was about to write ten percent of whatever I had left

  652. in my bank and then I saw one hundred over thousand ringgit in my bank

  653. balance. He didn't send me a message to say that he sent it.

  654. So about a day later I send him. I said, brother, is

  655. it you that bank TSEs money? He said, yeah, there's the fulfillment

  656. of my promise. I gave you a hundred before I give you a hundred

  657. now, because all together is two hundred. Right. So, ladies and

  658. gentleman, I'm standing in front of you saying the bill is paid. Come

  659. on, let's praise the Lord in this place. Hallelujah, ay man Amen.

  660. The next slide just says when the tuner is asked God, who shall

  661. go first, he said, Judah first. What does Judah mean? Praise

  662. praise? Let praise always go first when you are in trouble. Let praise

  663. always go first when you are down. I'm gonna tell you about Moses in

  664. the next few minutes. Moses was stuck in between the Red Sea and Pharaoh's

  665. army, and what God told him was Excedus fourteen thirteen to fourteen. Moses

  666. said to the people, do not be afraid. That's exactly what I want

  667. to tell all of you here. There is nothing that God cannot do.

  668. Stand still, people, be patient, be calm, be at peace.

  669. See the salvation of the Lord, which he will accomplish for you today.

  670. For the Egyptians you see today, you shall see again no more forever.

  671. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace next slide.

  672. And the Lord said to Moses, why do you cry to me?

  673. I sometimes shake my head when God says this. You know why? I

  674. thought that those who cry to the Lord shall hear God answer. The Bible

  675. actually actually says there's some verses that say say this. No, I cried

  676. out to the Lord, and he hit my prayer. He hurt my cry.

  677. So for God to say to Moses, let's say I'm got your Moses,

  678. are Moses, why are you crying? Why are you crying? It's

  679. almost like saying why are you praying? Because there's a time to prayer and

  680. there's the time to praise. If you learn from Paul that said three times

  681. I asked the Lord to take this away from me? How come we just

  682. three times? So I learned from Paul three times is good enough because the

  683. first time he hurt me already the second time or so he hurt me.

  684. In the third time he hurt me. But he hasn't answered me. Never

  685. mind, after I pray three times, I'm gonna praise all the time,

  686. meaning meaning is a Lord, I got stomachhousers, Please take away the stomahousers.

  687. God someone house. Is very painful. Second time, Oh God,

  688. please he'll be Third time, Oh God, still there, lah painful?

  689. Lo God, please help me. Third time. Fourth time, didn't happen

  690. yet. God, even though it's still bothering me, I will praise you

  691. because you are a good God, and by his stripes I am here.

  692. Fifth day, Oh Lord, I can still feel it growling, and it's

  693. painful and it's stirring. But Lord, you are good, and you are

  694. good all the time. Sixth time, seven time. Praise the Lord.

  695. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Because something happens when you pray.

  696. Why do you cry to me? Stop praying so much? I heard you

  697. the first time. What you need to do is lift up your rod,

  698. lift up your hand and stretch it to the sea and watch the sea pot.

  699. And the symbol of the lifting up of hands is a symbol of praise.

  700. Let me show you another one. Excedu seventeen ECCE seventeen is a war

  701. between the Amalekites and Joshua went down to fight, and we know the famous

  702. story. The famous story says that Moses went up to the hill and he

  703. began to lift up his hands, and every time he lifted up his hands

  704. Israel one. Yes, every time his hands went down, they lost.

  705. But can I use your hands for a while? You can sit down.

  706. If this is children's church, let me make it very plain to you.

  707. Hands up, win, hands down, loose? You know why Christians lose?

  708. Hands up win, hands down. You can do this in childance church

  709. because I think the children will get it. I'm not sure whether people he

  710. will get it not, Albert. Sometimes we have few with so many much

  711. more knowledge than the children, and our knowledge can really spoil the game.

  712. Too much knowledge. But they never did it for that neighbor. They never

  713. did it for the Christian, They never did it for the Hello. Listen,

  714. we don't know the situation, and listen that there's also no plan being

  715. no Albert, like Moses was tired, hands went down. I got said,

  716. let me change the plan. No change planner, No change plan.

  717. What's the plan? Hands up? Hands down? All my time? Hands

  718. up? Hands up, Emily, hands up when hands down? Yes,

  719. so much so that the people got it, so they had to do something

  720. about it. They already knew hands down, loose, hands up? So

  721. what did Aaron and her do? Put the hand on their shoulder because there's

  722. no other way. These hands ain't coming down no matter what. I always

  723. see me. These hands ain't coming down no matter what. These hands ain't

  724. coming down no matter what. We as a church can support you, but

  725. we cannot put your hands up for you. We can support you, take

  726. my shoulders. I can support you as a church, But this is not

  727. my hand. It's your hand. You still have to choose to put it

  728. up. And sometimes we blame the church, we blame the homes, we

  729. blame the people because but it's not their hands, it's yours. Put up

  730. your hands, you win. Put down your hands, you lose. I

  731. can help you. I can pray with you. I can stand beside you.

  732. Your parents, your family members can help you. But it's still not

  733. their hands. It's your hands. Aybody, Okay, Praise the Lord.

  734. Praise the Lord. Hands up, you win, Hands down, you lose.
