You're listening to a message to go from acts Church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day this morning. I would like to speak about the
-
power of praise, and I want us to remember this because sometimes very easy
-
to forget there is power in praise. And it's easy when you're all right,
-
when you come on a Sunday and you've just praised the Lord, it's
-
easy to go like, yeah, past, I know this. But this
-
is not for Sunday only. This is from Monday to Saturday where we're going
-
through tough times, challenging times, times that are you know, not so
-
good, not so easy. It is those times that you need to know
-
that God has taught us and has given us the knowledge that praise is key
-
to our breakthrough. Right, So let me just start with that why I
-
want to bring this word to you, and I'll share one or two testimonies
-
depending on the time, and we'll see how the Lord wants to encourage you
-
this morning. Now, let's very quickly look at the scripture. At midnight,
-
Paul and Silas or seal Us. Paul and seal Us were praying and
-
singing hymns to God. Praying is one thing, and I think all of
-
us know how to pray when we need something from God, but I'm not
-
sure whether all of us know how to sing to the Lord. And when
-
you use the word hymns, it gives you a sense that those songs were
-
not just modern day songs. And I've written out of a lot of emotions
-
feelings the hymns. Doctor James would would probably nod his head in agreement,
-
because you know, in the older days when songs came out, it was
-
not just hymns like Amazing Grace and all that. It was very scriptural.
-
Hymns were full of scripture. And that's why that's even how we remember scripture.
-
We remember scriptures. It's the Christia by singing, you know. And
-
today it's not like that very much. So I've asked Joel VJ. I've
-
asked Jack Ling, I've asked some of our songwriters to begin to go back
-
to drawing out scripture, to put songs together so that the church can be
-
equipped with the Word of God, true song. So hymns were actually the
-
Word of God in music, all right. So I want to say it
-
to you because I need you understand that when pauland Silas or Silas was h
-
praising the Lord there in the midst of the dungeon. It was the darkest
-
place. They put pauland Silas or Silas in the darkest dungeon, deep so
-
that you know, nobody could reach them. So some of you could also
-
feel like that today, you could feel like you're in the darkest, most
-
confusing state or crossroad in your life. Well, I got good news for
-
you. There is a way out of that, and the way is the
-
way of praise. So I don't just want you to end up knowing how
-
to pray. I want all of you to know again and be reminded that
-
it's not just pray, but it's got to end sing hims to God.
-
And what happened was the prisoners were listening to them, you know. I
-
pray that your neighbors will start hearing some praise that will come out of your
-
house. I pray that your colleagues at work will start hearing you praise the
-
Lord even though your company is going through a hard time. I pray that
-
the people around you will start to hear some praises coming out from your mouth.
-
Even in times of difficulty. Somebody say Amen suddenly, and I love.
-
The words suddenly is because every time you see the word suddenly, God
-
is about to move. There was a great earth quake so that the foundations
-
of the prison were shaken. I pray that the foundations of your prison will
-
also be shaken. Can I hear a great amen? Today? Let it
-
be today and immediately all the doors the prison doors will open. I pray
-
that your prison doors also will be open today in Jesus name. And everyone's
-
chains were loose. I prophesy in Jesus name that your chains will also be
-
loose in Jesus name. But how did it start? It started with prayer
-
and singing of hymns prayer. A lot of us don't need to be reminded.
-
We go like, oh yeah, every time we are in trouble,
-
we pray, of course, we pray. Must we pray. We pray
-
like med We pray ten times, we pray a hundred times. We come
-
out for all the callers many times we can, so that people can pray
-
for us. And that is good, that's included. But how many of
-
us will take another step deeper and praise the Lord? So in Jesus' name
-
again, I want to say, may the foundations of the prison in your
-
life be shaken. May those doors be open, and may chains fall to
-
the ground. Can I hear a good amen? One more time? Praise
-
the Lord. You know, I heard a funny story by a very good
-
story many years ago a preacher was preaching on this scripture and he said,
-
a little bird came into the prison cell. And then Paul and Silas was
-
singing. I don't know what song. Maybe they just say they sang,
-
pray the Lord, Oh my soul, Pray the Lord. And a bird,
-
you know, started to flat its wing and then he started singing with
-
Paul and silence, and you know that there was a beat, you know,
-
Pray the Lord. And then the bird started flying away from the prison
-
and going higher and higher, and he went up to heaven and God said,
-
oh, I can hear someone singing. And the angel said to God,
-
it's a bird. It's a little bird that just came down, or
-
rather came up from the earth, or bring the little bird in. And
-
the little bird started coming into God's presence and he started flapping his wings and
-
started saying pray. And then the angels went like, oh, that's a
-
good tune. That's a good sound, and he come nearer. I hear,
-
come nearer, and the bird came nearer to God. And then God
-
heard, Oh pray, and God loved the tune so much he started tapping
-
his feet. And because the Bible says the earth is God's footstool, that's
-
how the earthquake happened. Halladey ah phrase God. Okay, so come out,
-
put a beat on God's feet today. Amen with your praise, and
-
let those prison doors you know, began to open because God is happy with
-
your praise. Now let's move deeper. Let's go into the next scripture.
-
This one. I want to remind you. The Bible says you are holy,
-
Oh God, and throne in the praises of Israel. I love this
-
word so much because it's the word of God and one. So it's true
-
that when we praise God, he is enthroned, he is glorified, he
-
is lifted up. But even more importantly, he comes and he builds.
-
Let's just say this Poopit is a throne. God sits on this throne.
-
Right now. We all know that this throne is in heaven. All of
-
us know that our father, who are in heaven, Hello be thy name.
-
But suddenly, in your darkness and in your trouble, and in your
-
distress and in your depression, you don't feel like singing. But then your
-
pastor thought and you took it back with you and go like, I'm gonna
-
try this. I'm gonna just stop praising the Lord anyway. You know what
-
happens. His throne is not just in heaven now, He builds it right
-
there in your praise. And suddenly, in your darkness as you praise the
-
Lord, a throne is being built. And God now is not just seated
-
in heaven above, he is seated in your praise. He has just come
-
upon you now. Another scripture in the KJV King James version uses the word
-
inhabits that means God dwells, he comes and lives in our praise. Somebody
-
say, amen, he lives, he comes, he stays, He sticks
-
to your praise, He abides in your praise. He lives in your praise.
-
He dwells in your praise. Why is it important? Because it's not
-
just our father who are in heaven, which is true, is our Father
-
who's just next to me, our Father who's just upon me. You're with
-
me. And God wants to be with us. That's why he said.
-
You know, when Jesus was born, he said, you shall call his
-
name Emmanuel. Why God with us? God never just wanted to be in
-
heaven up high. You know, a lot of people know that God is
-
in heaven, even the Buddhist, no, even the Muslims know. Everybody
-
knows that he's in heaven. But as a Christian, we know that he's
-
in heaven and on earth, especially when we praise him. There is no
-
prison that can keep him out. God doesn't need visiting ours. He doesn't
-
need the warden's permission. As soon as you start praising God in the place
-
that you're at, whether it be good or bad, bright or dark,
-
God inhabits. God comes and say, hey, I hear praise. Let's
-
go build our throne there. And so the next slight says, the enemy
-
isn't afraid of our praise. He's afraid of God's presence. You said,
-
pasta, is he just singing that does it? No? He's not just
-
singing that does it. He's not afraid of ex church songs. He's not
-
afraid of heal songs. He's not afraid of Bethel songs. He's not afraid
-
of any song. In fact, can I tell you what? The devil
-
is a chief musician. He loves songs, he loves music. He loves
-
a full band if you can get it. He loves an orchestra, if
-
you get it, he loves it. And sometimes we think all less we
-
have a full band. The devil doesn't flee because of a full band.
-
At can you add one? More onemo? Trumpeter, more s excephonies.
-
I love music. You think it's your music that drives him away. You
-
think it's the big orchestra, the drummer that drums. No, no,
-
it's not even your voice. Why do I say that? Because I guess
-
only we We just lunge X brick Fields X break Fields is powered by the
-
Deaf Community Allow. I walked into the Deaf Community church. What happened?
-
I entered the first leader's briefinger in the morning, A silent on silent because
-
they're all deaf and they're signing. But I thought you, yeah, I
-
thought you a few things, right? This is what again? Chicken paw
-
paw pow fish ball. Okay, so I caught you? This reallya tao?
-
Remember how a man? Remember? So I've learned a few things.
-
How do you say, my law is again my law? Okay? So
-
yeah, always a sign language. But is the devil afraid of voice or
-
the volume of your voice, then he will he will never be afraid of
-
the deaf community. Church. Are you with me? So you you didn't
-
understand, because uh, sometimes you know, even as peaches and passes,
-
we think a booming voice will get the devil out. Hello. I don't
-
think you can be louded in the devil. I think his voice is louded
-
in yours. So what is he afraid of? Your media? Oh?
-
Wonderful media? So the devil fleet because of your media? Is fleet?
-
Even the right word? Oh Rachel is not? Anyways? Fleet? And
-
anyway there's another English teacher here would probably say maybe Christians. Oh flat,
-
And I knew he was wrong. He's all afraid of our style. You're
-
not even afraid of his suit and tie. You're not afraid of that.
-
It's not afraid of your music. Got drums, no drums. He's not
-
afraid. He's afraid because God came. He's afraid because in his presence there
-
is liberty. How do we get liberated? He came, He came and
-
He's now enthroned in the praises of his people, and so the devil flees.
-
That's correctly, and I believe he fled as Albert was leading us in
-
praise. He's afraid of God's presence, and that's why. Also the Bible
-
says, in his presence is fullness of joy, and the joy of the
-
Lord is how strength next one, Okay, let's go deeper. Can I
-
go deeper? All right? Psalm one hundred US four. You should memorize
-
this very good verse, to mayorize the Bible says, and his gates with
-
thanksgiving and into his courts with praise. A lot of Christians I know have
-
told me before pastor this last one month, I haven't felt his presence.
-
I try everything, I haven't felt his presence. I prayed, prayed,
-
pray, so haven't felt his presence. As for the last year, I
-
haven't felt God's presence. I can't do church even you know. So I
-
tell you all, you can go to the best church in the world.
-
Also, if you don't get this right, you will never get it right.
-
Okay. So I want to remind us the way we enter God's presence
-
is thanksgiving and the Bible doesn't say anything else about how we should enter His
-
presence. It must be with thanksgiving, and so a lot of Christians I
-
know, and I've done it before, so I understand this. We are
-
so troubled that as soon as we enter or try to enter God's presence,
-
we come with our trouble first. We have got so many complaints. We
-
come with our complaints first. You know, we get down on our knees.
-
If you ever get down our knees, and we say, God,
-
you are you know what happened? Like God? You know why? God
-
you know? And the Bible doesn't tell us. We enter by complaint or
-
enter by telling him our troubles and our problems. I have an automatic gait.
-
Some of you're living in apartments. You don't have that. But I
-
have a gate, and my remote control obeys me. As soon as I
-
press my remote control, the gate opens, I can drive. I haven't
-
even come near my my houser maybe about well near enough, about maybe twenty
-
meters he works a day. Okay, I press the gate opens, the
-
gate opens. I want to challenge you to come near to my house and
-
use your remote control. Rogers Rogers or rogers goes around checking is it ready?
-
He can over He said, oh, okay, okay, so maybe
-
we should ask Rogers to come to my house and test this theory out.
-
But most of the time, nineteen nine point ninety nine percent, your remote
-
controller opens, your door doesn't open. Mind, But do you get what
-
I'm trying to say, a lot of us are trying to open God's gate
-
without all remote control. Complain more, hire, why isn't my gate opening
-
my remote control? Because we use our remote control, not God's. God
-
wants to use his remote control and his thanksgiving. And as soon as you
-
enter with thanksgiving. Oh you know, there's another scripture in Philippines, Chapter
-
four, be anxious for nothing, verse six, be anxious for nothing but
-
in everything by prayer and supplication. Oh yeah, so we want to pray,
-
we want to supplicate. But then he goes on to say with thanksgiving.
-
So even if you are to bring your prayer to the latter, you've
-
got to bring it with have to have to, or you will never enter
-
to not use your old remote control, he won't work on God's gate.
-
You enter his gates with thanks giving, you have to. You have to.
-
Some you can't give thanks for a lot of things because you're so down,
-
you're so you know distress, you're so challenged in life is dark,
-
it's difficult, and yet I'm sure you can find a way to thank God.
-
So this is important. Use God's remote control thanksgiving. So I told
-
you before, I tell you again sometimes that I don't have accunt thing of
-
anything you thank go for because so many troubles and so many decisions, so
-
busy, so stressor and God still say you will not enter true stress and
-
his gaze with stress, no, and his gaze we complain, no,
-
and his gaze with whatever. With my old remote control no, no,
-
and his gage with Lord, I thank you that I can wake up this
-
morning. Every morning, Lord, I think I wake up. I get
-
up from bit let it my first sit up? Yeah, I finished my
-
seat up at night. When I go back every day, do at least
-
what exercise? Sit up, nighttime, sit down? Okay, one sit
-
up a day, I said, not, thank you there, I can
-
wake up because some people cannot get up from bait. Got bad sauce.
-
Then I get up from bait. I stand up. It can stand because
-
some people cannot stand, you know. I go to the hospital visitation I
-
can see some people can't stand without a walker, can't stand. Then I
-
walk to the bathroom. I can walk war. Then I go and use
-
the toilet. I don't want to be so detailer, but you understand that.
-
Then it flows, It flows, all edward flows without pain. Whoa,
-
I put my hands. I'm over here. WHOA. I said,
-
thank you Lord. The plumbing works, not just outside plumbing. Inside plumbing
-
works. A la lujah because inside the plumbing, God, you don't know
-
what what's wrong with it? Right, hallelujah, Praise God. And then
-
I go to my room. I have a prayer room. I said,
-
thank you for this beautiful prayer room. I get down on my knees right
-
for you know, probably about four minutes. I get on my knees,
-
and I said, Lord, thank you my niece working today, because some
-
people, our niece can over work. My wife just complained to me last
-
week. My niece paying fuller. Got sound. That's it got sounds over
-
me. Thank you Lord. And even when you start taking God now with
-
a few things, that it just keeps rolling. Now you got more things.
-
Oh whah, some jo I have clothes to wear, but let me
-
go deeper because it doesn't just stop there. You realize that that praise actually
-
is a deeper thing. Early on we realized that Paul and Silas pray and
-
saying and praise. So don't just stop at pray, and don't just stop
-
at Thanksgiving, because praise always gets you deeper. Pray always takes you further
-
further than your feelings, because sometimes you don't feel like praising deeper, further,
-
higher, how his cauds. So there's a gates. There's something in
-
life, in Christian life called the gates. How do you enter Thanksgiving?
-
But you just stay there? No, you've gotta praise because now as you
-
praise, praise the Lord. I don't really feel like it, but praise
-
the Lord. I don't understand what's happening in my life, but praise the
-
Lord. See, if you just go by old understanding, you always just
-
stop. Hear me, But the Bible says, trust in the Lord with
-
all your heart, lean not on your own understanding in all your ways.
-
Acknowledge Him, and he shall direct your path Proverbs three, verse five and
-
six. But we don't go deepersy, So don't lean on your own your
-
own understanding. We just are o kailer, you know this is the Endler
-
no Hopeler, I don't know what to I don't have the money. Like
-
okay, you old understanding. But as you start to praise the Lord,
-
praise, I don't feel like it. By praise, what happened with even
-
without you knowing, is you're going deeper into the place called the courts.
-
And many Christians don't find themselves in the courts. And because you're not in
-
the courts, you don't get your prayers answered the way it should be.
-
Let me show you very very quickly the next portion of scripture Esther, you
-
remember esthernal Esther was the queen who heard that there was an evil plot by
-
a Haman, and Hamman wanted to annihilate the whole Jewish people with me.
-
But there was a man called Mordecai, and Mordecai came to Esther. Esther
-
actually thought she was safer in the palace. But Mordecai says, hey,
-
if you don't do this, God will raise up somebody else. Yes,
-
Esther, who knows that you were born for such a time as this was
-
famous phrase? And what is did Esther say? We don't know what we
-
sometimes don't quote what Esther said as to said, if I perish, I
-
perish. So there was a bonus and a courage on Esther to say,
-
this is the right thing to do. I will do it. If I
-
die, I die. Because there's a lord that says, if the king
-
doesn't call you a you cannot come. He must call you. And if
-
you just show up, ah, you can be killed. So Esther knew
-
this law. And yet the Bible says she on the third day of the
-
fast, she put on her royal robes and stood in the way. There's
-
a place in our lives called the court. It is not just the gates.
-
Sometimes we think that God will answer you at the gates. No,
-
the gates is only just beginning. Thanksgiving gets you there. But please,
-
my dear brothers and sisters, in the law that I loved so my that
-
I believe, if I can give you this and you can use it,
-
you will go deeper. You will breakthrough some things in your life that you
-
haven't been able to break through. Just by prayer and by thanksgiving, God
-
was to take you deeper. So Esther didn't just go to the gates because
-
she couldn't be seen at the gates. If you want to be seen by
-
God, you have to come to His courts, and courts is the inner
-
place, far beyond the gates. And a lot of Christians don't find themselves
-
in the courts because the only way to get to the courts is praise,
-
praise. So I encourage all of you, yeah, all of us enter
-
his gates. Thank you, Lord, thank you Lord, Thank you Lord,
-
Thank you Lord, thank you Lord. Oh God, I thank you
-
for everything that you've done. And then you might say, oh God,
-
but my life is miserable, My life is terrible, and I don't know
-
what to do, and sometimes I think about all kinds of thoughts, and
-
Lord, I want to give up. And so thanksgiving God to you to
-
the gates. And then now you think, okay, let's just give you
-
a petition. That immediately give you a petition, And God says, no,
-
no, no, no, that's a deeper place, my son.
-
Huh, I don't know. I just passed your gates. Where do I
-
go? Now? Just keep on praising me. Oh okay, Lord,
-
even though I want to give up, but I praise you that you never
-
give up on me. Even though I don't know what to do, I
-
praise you because you know what to do. Even though Lord, I'm lost,
-
but in you I'm found. And you keep praising God. And then
-
you find yourself in this place called the courts, and there the King sees
-
you as he sees Esther. And the King lifts up his scepter, and
-
Esther draws near, and Esther, it says, in the next slight ester
-
five was one of the tree. And the King held out to Esther the
-
golden scepter that was in his hand because he saw her, you see,
-
and there was favor. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the
-
sceptor. So listen, I want to remind you that in God's presence,
-
they are levels. That's why even in the temple there was the outer courts,
-
inner courts. Remember, there was the Holy of Holies. In God's
-
plan, in his mind, he works like that, there is a place
-
of outer A lot of Christians are there expecting for a miracle. I don't
-
know what to do. Then sudenly someone teaches them thanksgiving. Okay, thank
-
you for teaching me that our thank God. And then someone else teaches you
-
the courts of the Lord, the courts of the Lord. And then esther.
-
After being seen and the sceptor was lifted up, she went even nearer
-
to touch the scepter. So there's another near a place. And that's why
-
when we call for all the call and call for people, how many of
-
you to a church where the altar court is behind? The alto call is
-
always front, because there is the concept of God that you can draw nearer
-
to the Lord. Those people who are back sliden or not in church?
-
Do you see them sitting in front of the back There's a reason, because
-
there is you know, there is this levels with God. And so of
-
course finally the back sladen will if you know they are totally frustrated, they
-
will leave and go even further. And when they are revived, they come
-
nearer until so near, until they can even touch God as it will.
-
Are you also with me? Now you understand why sometimes I will put some
-
of our prayers don't get answered, some about the break truths that we want
-
don't really happen. Is because oh, it's only praise they can get us
-
there. Only praise they can get us there. All right, everybody,
-
okay, okay, So let me give you one more scripture Isaiah sixty one,
-
verse three the Bible says, to console those who mourning Zion, to
-
give them beauty for ashes. Wow, you know, God wants to do
-
a great exchange with us today, the oil of joy for mourning. Are
-
you crying? Are you morning? Are you down? For some reason?
-
God wants to exchange with you today the oil of joy. And then he
-
says the garment of praise, says very quickly, just for one minute,
-
I just want to talk about that Esther hasn't seen her husband, the king
-
for six months, I think, and you would think that she should come
-
before the king with something a little bit more succeed, you know, because
-
my husband hasn't touched me. I haven't touched him. Maybe let's go and
-
entice him. Let me wear some really nice lingerie and stand before the courts,
-
and the king goes, whoa baby, I miss you, you know.
-
No, the Bible says, she dressed her royal robes. I really
-
believe, friends, that there is such a thing called the garment of praise
-
where you put on an attitude, where you put on a posture, and
-
don't just come in comfortably, like you know, God was your best friend.
-
I had a friend, a pastor friend who is now in his sixties.
-
He said to me, he grew up with the Kalantan prince. They
-
were friends, Albert Isaac his grandfather. I can't remember what Isaac, but
-
they have a road called after his grandfather's name in Kalantan, so very close
-
to royalty. But when the Kalantan Prince finally became the king some years ago
-
in Malaysia, the king invited Albert and said, hey, word, come,
-
you know, I know it's his coronation or something. And Albert said
-
to me something. He learned something when he was putting up, when he
-
was thinking about what to dress. He said this, this Clanthon Prince.
-
I used to play Gooli with him, marbles. I used to, you
-
know, go into the drains with him. You know, we used to
-
fight sometimes I will push the Kranton Prince. He will push me because we
-
were just boys. And then he said this, now I'm going to see
-
the king. I cannot wear jeans. A lot of us treat God like
-
a friend, but there are times we need to treat him like a king,
-
and we need to dress. And I'm not just talking about dressing.
-
I'm talking about the attitude, the mindset, also with me and Albert sid
-
this with me personally, is it I learned something about dressing for the Lord.
-
We might be best friends with Jesus, but never never take here for
-
granted. Dress in an attitude of honor and worship and praise because he's the
-
King of kings and the Lord of lords. Everybody. Okay, praise takes
-
us deeper, That's what the next flight says, and I want you to
-
believe it takes us higher, further into things that we never thought possible.
-
Now, the next light says, praise with the word. So I come
-
back to that because early on I said, hymns are songs of scripture,
-
and we need to come back to scripture, whether we are singing it or
-
not. So I want to encourage all of you to go home with a
-
word from the Lord and take that word and praise him for the whole week
-
and see where you end up. I believe you will end up higher,
-
deeper, further. If you believe it. Say amen. So let me
-
give you the next scripture and then tell you the testimony. The next scripture
-
is found in Psalms one, verse eight to nine. It is better to
-
trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to
-
trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princess. This is the word
-
of the Lord, and the word was given to me to use for twenty
-
one days. You remember uted twenty one days. Now, let me give
-
you the backstory. About two years ago, I was in my prayer room
-
and I was looking out my window and I saw something that I seen for
-
ten years already. But that morning the Lord made me see something very ugly.
-
And sometimes I tell you in life, you can actually accept things that
-
you shouldn't be accepting. One all right, but you've just grown god down
-
numb. So I have on my upstairs first floor, outside my room and
-
unfinished renovation. Okay, there were dirty looking rusted rods still sticking out because
-
once upon a time I wanted to finish the renovation, but I had no
-
money. Okay, so I waited. I say, God, when you
-
provide, I will build it. I will finish it. One morning the
-
Lord made me look outside, make me a little bit disgusted with what I
-
saw. I said, Kenneth, finish it. The word was so clear
-
to me, Kenneth finish it. So I immediately in my heart said God,
-
But I don't have the money. When I looked into my bank account,
-
I think there was probably like four thousand ringing at that time, two
-
years ago, four thousand ring I said, Lord, what can I do
-
with this? The Lord says, if I order, I will pay.
-
And so I said, God, you're ordering me to do this? He
-
says, yes, because your neighbors now know that you're past. I don't
-
want them to think that your God cannot provide. So it's for my honor,
-
it's for my glory. Do you know that somebody's got to ask you
-
to do things, and not for you, for him? And he says,
-
your house is probably the ugliest house on the street, but your God
-
is the greatest God. It doesn't jive finish it. So I struggle.
-
I must tell you. I struggle because I knew it was going to be
-
expensive. Anyway, I've learned to obey when I need to obey, even
-
though I struggle. I may have you struggles, Ah, struggle, but
-
you know the word has come. And so the Lord says to me,
-
uh, you know, because I said, God, I don't know how
-
where do I start? He says, start to draw the give it a
-
vision? Without vision, my people perish, so give it a vision.
-
And I remember, I said, Lord, who will draw this for me?
-
No, architect is very expensive, and he said, call Daniel Saleng.
-
I didn't know so clear, so I picked up the phone. Hey
-
Daniel, sorry to bother. You are so no brother, But I'm just
-
uh five minutes away from your house. I said, how come? So
-
I'm just driving past. I'm going back to Klang. But you caught me
-
just in time to turn. So God provides. So he turns, comes
-
to my house. He hears my dream and he draws a vision. And
-
the vision is even better than the dream. Very nice looking house. I'll
-
we call him Denzel for sure, brother in law to Sunny. Yeah that
-
day two years ago. No license to be archie, that yet, okay,
-
so cheaper, I'm kidding. He actually drew for free because I counted
-
like a real privilege to serve you. And so I said, thank you
-
so much. Zel. Of course today he's got license in the here,
-
so you got to pay him. He's surviving on his own. He's he's
-
like on his own anyway. Then I said, okay, Lord, I
-
got a drawing. It's very nice. Thank you, he says, now
-
start I said, okay, which contractors who I use? Just used one
-
as reliable, caught the contractor in looked at the drawing, quoted me two
-
hundred thousand ring it. I almost fell off my chair snee, but God
-
ordered so I obey. I said, Lord, I don't even have the
-
capital or you know, the deposit or the starting uh funds, because the
-
contractor said, I only need that seven thousand ringing to start. He only
-
needed. However, you know four thousand and three seven thousand is a bit
-
of a distance. Yeah, how may you know that even if it's five
-
thousands of two distance? Seven thousands two discerns? He said, uh,
-
because I think it caused me pasted this contractor that we have. His name
-
is Kent Ken is a good anyway, he said to me passer two hundred
-
thousand. I know, but I only need when something people say only need.
-
You don't know your situation though, anyway, So I pray, I
-
said, Lord, how am I going to do this? I've been living
-
by faith for thirty years now, no salary for thirty years. I've seen
-
God move over and over again. You see how God fed me so well?
-
So God is good and so God, I said, God. And
-
you know, this is what I learn from the Lord. And when he
-
wants to do something, he doesn't throw money from heaven when it's too easy
-
for him. He always used men because the man or the woman that he
-
uses are he will also bless. He is like a privilege to be used
-
in the project. Now because you stand so, I said, God,
-
is there a man you're going to use? He says, yes, I
-
already have his name in mind. So he put his name in my mind.
-
Before that, I was thinking about about four or five men, one
-
particular multi millionaire. I was thinking about you. Maybe I should write to
-
him, because the last time I met him, about six months ago,
-
he said, I was again, if anytime you have any ne just write
-
to me. So I remember writing to him for a need here in a
-
legacy. He didn't reply. Then I wrote to him about something else,
-
I think about our football academy. No reply. You know, sometimes people
-
will tell you write to me any time, but he didn't tell you that
-
he will reply anytime. You don't say so he was. He probably not
-
wrong. He's not Wronger. Now you know why I got gave him the
-
scripture. It is better to trust in the Lord than to book confidence in
-
man. So I really don't know. So anyway, finally the Lord made
-
me know. He says, this is the name you write to him.
-
I prepared his heart your go will prepare your heart when you are the men
-
and you're the woman. If you're not, don't try to knock the door
-
down. Now, even though they are billionaire, don't try to knock the
-
door down, because if it's not, no, it's not the all right.
-
So I went up to this brother eight with him, and we were
-
having good fellowship. And finally, brother, the reason why I came to
-
see you is because of this. So I told him the whole story and
-
told him I prayed and the Lord put your name in my heart. So
-
the only reason I'm coming to you is because I just want to know whether
-
you are that man you look at me. He said, A passa,
-
don't worry about it. Consider it settled. I will help you with the
-
payment of this building. Well, hallelujah, praise God on because God already
-
prepared his heart. So I went back, and about two weeks later he
-
signed the check of fifty thousand ringing for me. All right, So now
-
I have more than thirty seven so I said, can come, you know,
-
and when I gave him the check, Ida, I was so thankful,
-
and I was so thankful, saying, oh God, thank you.
-
Then as he started the job, weeks went by and I saw no money.
-
I saw no money. Weeks went by, I saw money and can
-
I think he was hoping that I will pay him again. But he didn't
-
say very much. Sometimes he just shows me I won money face. I
-
don't know how it looks, but like, hey, no, no,
-
he didn't do thatta. So anyway, then Elder King, yah, who
-
is my middle man? Elder King? I said, I think pastor,
-
he's thinking of the next forty thousand. I'm like, wow. So this
-
brother who gave me the first fifty thousand invited me to come and minister among
-
you know, his people. So I went, I said, wow,
-
thank you Lord for this invitation. Now I can ask him again. And
-
as I was going on the losses, do not say a word because you
-
said he wants it. He said he wants it. Itch kobla, why
-
are you reminding for or? I don't know. Now. Sometimes a lot
-
will ask you to remind our people. Sometimes no need to remind, okay,
-
So I am going. I am ministring with his brother. So I'm
-
ministring ministring two days. The third day is coming where I fly back and
-
the brother takes me. You know, I'm my heart saying okay, God,
-
I can't ask him right, don't even say a word. Please,
-
don't also give you any updates. You know sometimes that we don't ask for
-
money. You know, by the way, my house is doing very well.
-
You know. Don't don't do any drop shot, don't do any smash
-
okay, not okay, jazz praise. So in the car we've reached the
-
airport. Right, my heart is beating fast out cannot say anything, so
-
I want to say under my breath. And then I got to come out
-
of the car slowly like it was slow motion. Then he took my back
-
out of his boot fast. Can thank you for come me? I said,
-
you are welcome, brother, And I was about to turn my bag
-
has wheels. I was about to see the step and then he holds my
-
hand, turns me around. I forgot to give you this boom white envelope.
-
Well, I believe it was my offering for speaking in his church.
-
It was a very big offering, another fifty thousand ring. It okay,
-
praise the Lord. So I only of us don't open the envelope in front
-
of him that right now, we say thank you very much. Rather and
-
then as you're waiting for your plan in the waiting room, open cry,
-
I cried, said Lord. You know lah, we don't have to always
-
try our own strength, own wisdom. And so one hundred thousand ear right,
-
okay. For the next four months, no news. And the building
-
against is being built, and ken is like building it, and sometimes I
-
is building it. He's looking through my window to see what I mean or
-
not. And then the face comes again, the expect payment again. Okay.
-
Now, I'm remember one time, you know, I really by bank
-
account went down to two thousand ring it, and I remember I wanted to
-
give him something just to appease him. And that Sunday, I think every
-
remember uh and Edward. Remember I was speaking somewhere else, but the Lord
-
told me, Kenneth, you got your offering for Sunday right, go back
-
to church, go back to cake and give it. But in KK I
-
was late because I was speaking somewhere else. So I rushed because I wanted
-
to put my offering in. Now you him, he might be saying,
-
past it, you don't get salary or what's your offering? What's ten percent?
-
Now I just put I just give to the rope whatever he puts on
-
my heart. So I I got here and I saw Edward was Edward says
-
post so good to see you. Ten more minutes left right to ten.
-
The deserve ten more minutes left to finish, I said, Edward. The
-
first thing I thought about I was my offering. Edward says, Pastor.
-
We counted a ready in my face to Edward, I don't care because the
-
Lord's you know that the Lord wants to do a miracle in my life.
-
He reminded me put your offering in, put by faith. And then so
-
Edward, you know, so I went to you couldn't see Erin because Erin
-
really are like she's backing up my day. So I went to Erin,
-
I says, Sister, my offering, She said, past counter Edi.
-
I took her hand, I put the offering into her hand. I said
-
bye, and then uh. Twenty four hours later, a lady from this
-
church Corpassendra. I said, uh, Passendra, I'm very blessed financially this
-
one. Can I give you something? Passender? Look at me, he
-
can. Kenneth, there is someone who I said, no, no,
-
no, dawn't, especially when it comes from our church. Doesn't seem bathing
-
money. I don't. So the lady had to call seven more times over
-
the course of twenty four more hours. No, God told me I must
-
give. God told me I must give. So I say, if God
-
says so, then give her. Right. So she gave three thousand ringed
-
and three thousand ring kid is No, I gave three hundred for my offering,
-
and so it's ten percent of that. And so I took all three
-
thousand and I gave it to Ken. I said, can and he's got
-
something after the former's ever gave me anything more. So Ken three thousand.
-
You look, oh, thank you. I thought it was going to be
-
thirty thousand by anyway, Thank you. So I was really down, and
-
I said, when is this brother gonna contact me? Because the Lord kept
-
saying, don't contact him, don't pressure him. Can Earth just trust me?
-
I said, I trust you, Lord, I trust you, but
-
the payment coming soon, I think, please help And then I says,
-
I am helping you. I gave you one hundred eady right, I gave
-
you one hundred thousand and eighty. Can't you trust me for the other hundred?
-
I can by just taking a bit too long. Then God said,
-
take this scripture. It is better to trust in the Lord and the confidence
-
in man. It is better to trust in Lord and to put confidence in
-
Princess. Take this scripture and praise me for twenty one days. So during
-
the U turn, every day, I did not think about the building.
-
I did not think about Kent. I did not think about this man who's
-
supposed to give me some help. I just thought about the Lord. Twenty
-
one days. Every morning. It is better to trust in the Lord to
-
put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord and to
-
put confidence in Princess every day, sometimes three times a day, sometimes five
-
times a day. Every time I feel a litt bit downer, the liberty
-
scatter, it is better to trust in the Lord that the poor confidence in
-
man. I'm not ordering my little eyes. I'm just doing it, okay.
-
It is better to trust in the Lord that the pod confidence in man.
-
I'm shivering because actually I'm scared while saying it. It is better to
-
trust in the Lord. The twenty second day means a day after you turn
-
this brother calls me. Ah ah, I said, thank you for the
-
call. He says, come pasta, let's have a meal. I said,
-
amen, what do you want to eat? Anything you want to eat,
-
Let's go. So we talk and he's telling me testimonies after testimonies,
-
and then towards the end, I said, uh, anyway, brother,
-
regarding my renovations, and he said he stopped me there. He said,
-
pass Acadatha's exactly what I want to talk to you about. He says,
-
I know I promised you and I will help you. Now. I never
-
thought it was a promise now, but since you said it, a hollow
-
you eat is a promise. Better keep to it. Those I promised you
-
that I'll help you. But the things that happened the last four or five
-
months pass have been so tough on me, he said. He says,
-
I have been scraping the barrel of my bank account because he's got huge projects,
-
a lot of stuff, and things were not moving, so he had
-
to pay from his own pocket, and so he said this to me.
-
You know, his own words are, I was so embarrassed that I cannot
-
fulfill my promise to you. I was so embarrassed, Pastor, I couldn't
-
even call you. I couldn't even talk to you. I was embarrassed.
-
I wanted to let you know something. You might think that people are very
-
rich, very strong waves way there, but they have their own problems as
-
well. They have their own difficulties. They have their own days that they
-
go through their own darkness. With me, you don't judge people, and
-
don't judge people. People have their days, even the strongest pastor have their
-
days. Be merciful, be compassionate, be understanding, be patient. That's
-
why God didn't allow me to call him, because then it would add to
-
his embarrassment. Right I would know. I would have forced him in,
-
you know, and he probably might have borrowed from somebody, So God knows
-
what he's doing. Then he said to me, Pastor Kenneth, there are
-
four parcels of land I have that have been waiting for two to three years
-
to sell. One is even a beach front in a particular popular beach area,
-
and I own the best beach front. It's probably about twenty million if
-
I get to sell it. He says. He couldn't sell for three years
-
four parcels of land, but he said in the last twenty one days to
-
a month. He didn't know I was prayinger he did. I wasn't even
-
praying. I was praising. I was using this word and just praising the
-
Lord. It is better than trust in the Lord. I was praising.
-
And he said to me, without me telling him that I was doing this,
-
twenty one days, he said to me, passecandeth I thought, just
-
to sell one piece of lanner, I would be very blessed. I sold
-
all four, all four in the in justice last one month, one after
-
the other of passacondath. God made away, so I don't know better,
-
to the tune of fifty million or whatever it is. He sold all his
-
parcels that he wanted to sow. And now his face is lighted up.
-
He himself has no more stress because now it's easy. And then some other
-
contracts are happening. You know, the government is calling him or so for
-
different things. So he said, Pastor Kenna's just the last month. I
-
smiled in my heart where like God, only you knew you wanted me to
-
praise, not just for myself, but for him. Do you understand that
-
sometimes when we praise God, someone else is also getting a bridgerue? Someone
-
else especially the people that were called to help you. They are also,
-
so don't be so selfish. It's not always about us. It's about the
-
people around us. When you praise, their prisons are opening, their ground
-
is shaking. Are you with me? And their chains are falling? And
-
that's the power of God. All I did twenty one days was praise the
-
Lord, but not in singing, just the word praise, praise, praise.
-
So then I went to Bosana. He says, Pastor Kenneth, I'm
-
going to fulfill my promise to you. I came out from Botswana, I
-
came to church, wanted to give my tithe on the on on online.
-
You know, I knew I was left with something like you know, I
-
don't know two thousand plus three thousand, and I said, okay, what
-
do you want Lord? And lot says give me ten percent and I say
-
okay. So I was about to write ten percent of whatever I had left
-
in my bank and then I saw one hundred over thousand ringgit in my bank
-
balance. He didn't send me a message to say that he sent it.
-
So about a day later I send him. I said, brother, is
-
it you that bank TSEs money? He said, yeah, there's the fulfillment
-
of my promise. I gave you a hundred before I give you a hundred
-
now, because all together is two hundred. Right. So, ladies and
-
gentleman, I'm standing in front of you saying the bill is paid. Come
-
on, let's praise the Lord in this place. Hallelujah, ay man Amen.
-
The next slide just says when the tuner is asked God, who shall
-
go first, he said, Judah first. What does Judah mean? Praise
-
praise? Let praise always go first when you are in trouble. Let praise
-
always go first when you are down. I'm gonna tell you about Moses in
-
the next few minutes. Moses was stuck in between the Red Sea and Pharaoh's
-
army, and what God told him was Excedus fourteen thirteen to fourteen. Moses
-
said to the people, do not be afraid. That's exactly what I want
-
to tell all of you here. There is nothing that God cannot do.
-
Stand still, people, be patient, be calm, be at peace.
-
See the salvation of the Lord, which he will accomplish for you today.
-
For the Egyptians you see today, you shall see again no more forever.
-
The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace next slide.
-
And the Lord said to Moses, why do you cry to me?
-
I sometimes shake my head when God says this. You know why? I
-
thought that those who cry to the Lord shall hear God answer. The Bible
-
actually actually says there's some verses that say say this. No, I cried
-
out to the Lord, and he hit my prayer. He hurt my cry.
-
So for God to say to Moses, let's say I'm got your Moses,
-
are Moses, why are you crying? Why are you crying? It's
-
almost like saying why are you praying? Because there's a time to prayer and
-
there's the time to praise. If you learn from Paul that said three times
-
I asked the Lord to take this away from me? How come we just
-
three times? So I learned from Paul three times is good enough because the
-
first time he hurt me already the second time or so he hurt me.
-
In the third time he hurt me. But he hasn't answered me. Never
-
mind, after I pray three times, I'm gonna praise all the time,
-
meaning meaning is a Lord, I got stomachhousers, Please take away the stomahousers.
-
God someone house. Is very painful. Second time, Oh God,
-
please he'll be Third time, Oh God, still there, lah painful?
-
Lo God, please help me. Third time. Fourth time, didn't happen
-
yet. God, even though it's still bothering me, I will praise you
-
because you are a good God, and by his stripes I am here.
-
Fifth day, Oh Lord, I can still feel it growling, and it's
-
painful and it's stirring. But Lord, you are good, and you are
-
good all the time. Sixth time, seven time. Praise the Lord.
-
Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Because something happens when you pray.
-
Why do you cry to me? Stop praying so much? I heard you
-
the first time. What you need to do is lift up your rod,
-
lift up your hand and stretch it to the sea and watch the sea pot.
-
And the symbol of the lifting up of hands is a symbol of praise.
-
Let me show you another one. Excedu seventeen ECCE seventeen is a war
-
between the Amalekites and Joshua went down to fight, and we know the famous
-
story. The famous story says that Moses went up to the hill and he
-
began to lift up his hands, and every time he lifted up his hands
-
Israel one. Yes, every time his hands went down, they lost.
-
But can I use your hands for a while? You can sit down.
-
If this is children's church, let me make it very plain to you.
-
Hands up, win, hands down, loose? You know why Christians lose?
-
Hands up win, hands down. You can do this in childance church
-
because I think the children will get it. I'm not sure whether people he
-
will get it not, Albert. Sometimes we have few with so many much
-
more knowledge than the children, and our knowledge can really spoil the game.
-
Too much knowledge. But they never did it for that neighbor. They never
-
did it for the Christian, They never did it for the Hello. Listen,
-
we don't know the situation, and listen that there's also no plan being
-
no Albert, like Moses was tired, hands went down. I got said,
-
let me change the plan. No change planner, No change plan.
-
What's the plan? Hands up? Hands down? All my time? Hands
-
up? Hands up, Emily, hands up when hands down? Yes,
-
so much so that the people got it, so they had to do something
-
about it. They already knew hands down, loose, hands up? So
-
what did Aaron and her do? Put the hand on their shoulder because there's
-
no other way. These hands ain't coming down no matter what. I always
-
see me. These hands ain't coming down no matter what. These hands ain't
-
coming down no matter what. We as a church can support you, but
-
we cannot put your hands up for you. We can support you, take
-
my shoulders. I can support you as a church, But this is not
-
my hand. It's your hand. You still have to choose to put it
-
up. And sometimes we blame the church, we blame the homes, we
-
blame the people because but it's not their hands, it's yours. Put up
-
your hands, you win. Put down your hands, you lose. I
-
can help you. I can pray with you. I can stand beside you.
-
Your parents, your family members can help you. But it's still not
-
their hands. It's your hands. Aybody, Okay, Praise the Lord.
-
Praise the Lord. Hands up, you win, Hands down, you lose.
