You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day today. I want to speak about David and what
-
David has went go to his besides good life. But if we talk about
-
when we talk about David, we talk about David. The only first thing
-
you know about David is a man after cool. Really, I know what
-
job I have to do here. So David, the Bible says, is
-
a man after God's own heart. Basically, a man who desired to do
-
what God's want, a man who wants to please the Lord. That's what
-
it means, a man after God's own heart. It's very okay. This
-
is not a guy liking a girl, all right, That's that's no,
-
that's that's the human nature. This is a man who wants to please God.
-
Friends, you know how hard is it to please the Lord? You
-
understand because God is not a physical being. So therefore we hold ourselves sort
-
of the highest standard, because if God can be seen, then sometimes it's
-
easy for us to because God has just had to raise his eyebrow, or
-
we've done something wrong, like lid to children. Right as to be a
-
member of children, our parents are to discipline us. The tone of our
-
parent voice already will indicate whether we have done something correct or wrong. The
-
facial expression will ignore whether we have good dinner or bad dinner. Right and
-
the stuff like you understand the right physical presence of a deity. Sometimes it's
-
slightly easier, but this the Bible says, David served the Lord, a
-
man after God's own heart, right, a person that is not there physically,
-
but he understands that in his life there is a God in heaven that
-
he serves, and he worshiped. So outcomes Goliath, Goliath, and you
-
and I know that David took down Goliath. Frays. Goliath is a physical
-
being. Sometimes it's now life is easy to fight a physical being a physical
-
situation because you can attack, you know how, you know how to handle
-
a physical thing. But after Goliath, friends comes the greatest test that David
-
has to go to the test of his own heart. Because after Goliath,
-
David had to serf under King saw friends. King saw is not a very
-
It was not employer of the year. No, he did not win Employee
-
of the Year for numerous years. Right. The Bible says that when David
-
serf under King saw right. They saw when cycle one day decided to go
-
and throw the spear towards David. I'm not sure at your workplace, how
-
many of your bosses have thowed a stapler and you're not and and hit the
-
war and you know, stap you chose that's the anger. You can near
-
it to the war one, right, they'll try. Don't try and hope
-
place. Don't try to hope. Right, But you understand you open the
-
state pler, you chose someone already the anger it force you. You can't
-
just hold on the world for a while. Would you imagine, right,
-
your boss chow a pen and appenand is like at the wall, the kind
-
of thing right, angry and you chose things that you this stuff like that.
-
I'm not sure how many words after the incident you remain in the employment
-
or not. Would you consider remaining in the employment that will resign you.
-
We will go, you know to the industrial called and stuff like understand,
-
okay, very natural, But David, the Bible says that you know he
-
was still the word was he wasn't lawyer to sort as much as he was
-
lawyer to the lord. Because he made reference to Kings saw as the man
-
that God has chosen, not as a man that he has chosen the work
-
under, but the man God has chosen, which means to say that David
-
worked, he just will work as just earning away she felt as a higher
-
purpose and calling when he's dead at the palace. Right, So, so
-
after decided to go after David, to go after David's life, friends,
-
could you imagine right now, after leaving the employment, your ex employer decided
-
to hand you down. That's what happened to David his ex employee, or
-
rather they King saw chase David. One day David could be in the palace
-
eating the finest choices of cuisine, right somehow mean you could you imagine right
-
now the next day it's a quarter of Meggie having to share with his band
-
of brothers in a cave. One day there were a mattress as worth maybe
-
twenty to thirty thousand. Next day was on the floor, no springs but
-
got stones. Could you imagine the transformation, immediate change. One day you
-
dress your finest drobe, you have hot shower. Next day you have to
-
bathe whatever trickers or water that comes down from the cave. If we've ever
-
been on a mission trip, before that. Some days you don't have accessibility
-
to the word is to what we have at home. If you ever been
-
on a mission treat back in the nineties where liquid soap wasn't invented yet and
-
you forgot to bring your soap, will you share your soap or not?
-
Would you share your soap? Mm hmm? My mission treat member asked me,
-
elder, can I pin jam your soap? No time to buy yet?
-
The next day and they can buy at the very moment you becuciated,
-
say here, I take it or break it to half, because the piece
-
that you brought is small enough just to the last a couple of days.
-
I beIN jamming my soap, and I threw it away after that because because
-
it was returned to me, be curly Fries, if you understand, do
-
you know how disgusting it is? I saw the thing whether I put under
-
running water, you know you under running water? A cup of that.
-
You take off the couple of layers, but still the top the top person
-
like, oh take the story rap against your face. But anyway, the
-
explaw Right went after David. One day had everything, the next day he
-
lost everything. One day he had the finest of things. The next day
-
he was on the run. Do you know as a person, as an
-
individual, before I get open the word of the Lord? Right, that
-
really builds up something within a person's heart. Run you build up anger,
-
frustration. There are days you wake up, Yes I can overcome it with
-
the jow of the Lord. Yes I can overcome this. But days you
-
wake up you just feel like what am I running away for? After all,
-
none of them take down go Live. None of them have the ability
-
to share. They take down Golive except me. If I can take down
-
Golive, I can take down King Saul. If I can take down Golive,
-
go Live. Nobody wants to child to take up the child life.
-
I took up the life challenge and I won. They missed the other words.
-
If King Saul did not take up the life, I could have over
-
taken King Saul. Temptation very real and very strong. The anger of frustration
-
built up. The word is begin to power on. What would you do?
-
Friends, in the midst of the situation? Turn me Miranda right now?
-
The first semichapter twenty nine, let me just go read first semech of
-
the training nine right verse one. The Philistines gathered together at armies at Apec
-
and the Israelis Israelis and camp by a fountain which is in Jaziy. So
-
the Bible here says that you know, the Philictin and the israel are going
-
to war the flicing and they are going to war. Friends, if you
-
watch any war story before, war is not a place where by the torpedo
-
fights or two roses at each other, see who get injured by the roses.
-
Is real, brutal, bloody and someone will get killed along the way.
-
It's not a pretty sight. David Bing is right for the very first
-
time right now. David Bing is right for the very first time right now
-
have to fight against his own brothers and sisters. Most probably his brothers could
-
be on the other camp now, if you will, if you follow the
-
story of David before, David's own brothers did not view David in a good
-
light. They view David as a young, very young and brash person.
-
Why do you come here to look at this war? Don't you have nothing
-
better to do? Don't you have those ships that he asked you to take
-
care of? Why do you come here to observe the war? Right?
-
Could you imagine the relationship Day had with his own brothers, the resemblent they
-
build up. If you're the second child, any second child here, second
-
child, you understand you said ship between right, the eldest and the youngest
-
one. That no man's land like that, right, I'm the second child.
-
I know the almost I know voice one right. No, not your
-
family, my family, all right, just kidding anyway. So anyway,
-
so David cooked the very first time fight against his brothers. So could you
-
imagine right now, I will get even my brother's abuseless. I'll show him
-
King Saul rejected me. I will show him, right, I was loyal
-
to a King Saul the very moment, the very first time. David,
-
right now, the Bible says right that he has to fight. That is
-
red verse two that the lot of the Philistines, okay, passed in review
-
by hungers and by thousands, but David and this man passed in review and
-
the rail with ashesh Basically, the scripture explains that the bout of the Philicites
-
army are in front, David is at the back. Now. I'm not
-
sure whether or not this boost up your confidence, but could you imagine the
-
most important part of warfare is that you will not be caught by surprise,
-
right, And here David being sort off an enemy being at the back.
-
That's why sometimes at the workplace we don't like to get stabbed from the back,
-
because you can fight what's in front of you, but very hot to
-
fight what's behind you. God give you a pair of ice to look in
-
front, but not behind your head. And that doesn't boost up confident because
-
the moment you go to war, you're worried or not whether David will betray
-
you or not. And this is what the Princess of Phylicies say that I'm
-
going up to war, and the Bible says they're numbered by thousands, okay,
-
and they're marching out by the day David and six hundred men. Come
-
on, how many people does the Philists have? Thousands? How many people
-
that David's had six hundred? How many you know that six hundred is less
-
than thousands. Even if they fight friends, I'm sure the phyllisani will come.
-
David. Think about it. Let's say David killed a couple of thousand.
-
They will go tired, they will get killed. But David right now
-
has to face a choice to fight against his brothers and sisters on the wharf,
-
on the field. Not his personal choice, but he has to fight.
-
Let's look at worse tree. Then the Prince of phyllis Is said,
-
why have this he? What are this Hebrews doing here? Then, as
-
she said to the Prince of Phylicis, is this not David, the servant
-
of Saul, King of Israel, who has been with me these days and
-
these years and to this day. I found no fault in him, since
-
it defected to me. Friends, the Prince of Philis is doubled David by
-
the King of Ashes. The king himself believe in David, which beds to
-
say, friends, David, even though serving a foreign king, he was
-
lawyer, he had this, he did his conduct right. Friends, I
-
want to encourage you. Friends, sometimes a wope, this may not be
-
the best, but we need to keep a conduct right. Mm hmm.
-
Some of the churches may not be the best, may not be the best,
-
but still have to keep or conduct right. If we don't go to
-
homes because the home, theydn't ask you to go to. Friends don't know.
-
Friends don't don't if you're going to homes because someone like home. You
-
know, coming to homes man, you don't don't please don't go to homes
-
because you felt a guilt trip put on you and stuff that no, it
-
has because a lot is leading you to the homes. Don't. It's okay
-
on friends, because it's your journey with the Lord. I pray your all
-
of your attest to home stuff. But if you're not friends, I pray
-
to you, ask God, God, please speak to me. But here
-
is it that you know David did his conduct well. And the prisoner listen
-
just said this, I don't trust David. I don't trust This is basically
-
I don't trust David. But here's the king saying I trust David. The
-
clique say, I don't trust David. If you were David hearing it for
-
the very first time, of course, you would feel that you need the
-
proof. I've done everything correct. Man, right now, the Bible say
-
he bathe vice. The King said, all these is serving me defected from
-
the serving me right. He done everything correct. Some of us see in
-
our life we have done everything right. Yeah, you sed toll find things
-
against you. She'll find things against you. Friends. The first test that
-
this test that has to go to, it's not the test of exterior material,
-
But the test of David's heart. Friends, a test is not to
-
fail us, but a test is to reveal what's in our hearts. Without
-
the revelation what's in our hearts, you and I will never know what do
-
we need to do? One of the live most greatest challenge is this great
-
to the dentists because just because we could eve, could chew and everything like
-
that, and there's no pain in our mouths doesn't mean that bacterial or cavity
-
is building up. How many of us see away until there's pain? Only
-
we go maybe something the fear of the sound. I wish I could just
-
download the sound of the drilling noise and just play with us here and just
-
for a moment with thirties, I guess help many al uys get that hard
-
that sound or not. But you know at the wedding, even you hear
-
the dentists using that that drill sound, I don't know how many hear was
-
like, oh yes, I look forward to that that that that drilling moment,
-
or you go hear the sound, you go like, oh no,
-
the next patient could be me. And just because friends, the fear of
-
singer dentists and we can use our mouth to eat. There is no pain
-
doesn't mean that there is no cavity building up, only the found the dentists
-
when they look into our mouth and do discover that, mister, you got
-
to cavity. Sometimes it takes even deeper and we cannot save your tooth.
-
You can do canal. The pain of going to something once being revealed,
-
friend is not pleasant. But the pain of when being revealed is to tell
-
us what course of action that we need to do, not to get angry
-
at ourselves. Like I wish I could have done that. I wish I
-
got turned back to town. I wish I visited you earlier and sometimes alive
-
and God reveals things to us. That's what happens to us. We go
-
like I wish I have done that, I wish no friends. Is not
-
to live in regret when God reveals things to us, it's not to live
-
in regret. It's just okay, this is right and right now, and
-
that's what I need to do. And you and I we are on a
-
journey with the lot of friends. Verse four, Worst four saying the Prince
-
of Philis was very angry with the King of Ashes. So the Prince of
-
phylisines said to him, make this fellow return, that he may go back
-
to the place which you have appointed for him. Come on, and do
-
not let him go down with us to better at least the better it becomes
-
the adversary. Friends. The Bible here is describing that David. Right now,
-
Friends, David is just walking and walking up walking and the rear of
-
the army of Philistines. And what happens is that there was this commotion,
-
this discussion in front. The Bible says, they've done everything correct, still
-
couldn't break it, couldn't win the house the Prince of Phylicines. It's like
-
would saying, I can't just exscribe it. It's like coming to church for
-
the very first time. You're new to church, but you try to break
-
into the church group. You know how difficult. Sometimes you've done everything,
-
you come to church right, you lift behind your worship, but to break
-
into the fellowship of the church group is sometimes could be very hard, can
-
be very honest. You're there on the outside, look very happy. Yeah,
-
and you thought that you're one of them, only discovered that actually sometimes
-
they have another check without you being incited. You you understand that all right.
-
First, So this is what happened. This is what happened. That
-
the test of whether you believe that God is still in control? Not because
-
every day that David has so much towards the Army of Issiel is every step
-
the way the pressure becomes even more real. When you're closer to your deadline,
-
when you're closer to the exam the pressure because even more real. And
-
David's test was this the test believing that God is still in control? Because
-
David I truly believe they don't want to fight his own brothers and sisters.
-
Come on, if David could say that even cutting a piece of King Saul's
-
rope can cause David to felt so bad want more to fight the Army of
-
Israel, who he refers to the armies of the Living God. Could you
-
imagine David, every step, every journey, every hour going there God,
-
if I run away from you, it's just goldn't show that I would am.
-
I am, I am what they say I am. They cannot trust
-
me. I got no place to hide. But if I go find my
-
own brother and sisters blood, their blood will be on my hands. What
-
should I do? Lord? Have you been in the place before? Whereby
-
you go so die, you don't go so wan. David was in the
-
same place. But here's what happened. Friends, David, while in the
-
midst of walking down, God allowed doubts to sew in the in the hearts
-
of the Prince of the Philistines. Think about it for a moment. David
-
could have engineered his own salvation. Go and just have a small little pepper.
-
How you know I won't betreat you there? Could you imagine right now
-
David into one of those sessions with the Prince of Philistines. Right, maybe
-
I'll be treat you there. Ha ha ha haaa. Right, could you
-
come with the small talks and just so sise of doubt and because people,
-
yeah this David, the six hundred men, no mighty man, some more
-
right can be treated you? You and we want to engineer own salvation at
-
the end of the day, because you wanted to see a brick through.
-
But David did not. The Bible says, David did. How did David
-
handle this? David behave wisely? The Bible says, let me just show
-
to you they may behave wisely. He committed in the midst of the pressure
-
to move forward and from the peers he did not try to reason out with
-
the prison of phelicity to prove that he's lawyer. Man, someone say you
-
have done something wrong, we want to prove that we are right. But
-
friends, the days whereby we need to learn how to walk away. The
-
Bible here says that David behave wisely because King ashes give him a very good
-
commendation. You behave wisely in all that you have done for me. In
-
Look two fifty two, Jesus grew in wisdom. Jesus grew in wisdom.
-
Friends, I want to encourage you really to grow in wisdom of God.
-
Yes we won out. We're gone one and I'm not very smart as we
-
grow up. But you know, in life something that teaches us a hard
-
way. But no matter where we are, what issue we are, friends,
-
there is no such that God cannot thing. So around one, God
-
is still in control. I want to encourage you He's still in control.
-
He's still in control. The test of whether God is in controls to reveal
-
where our heart is well faith is. And this test is constantly going to
-
be a test of our hearts because as believers, right, there is no
-
end to these tests. God's going to bring us for one face to another
-
face, whether it's still in control or not. We have to be sure,
-
friends, We have to be sure. We have to know that God
-
is still in control no matter where we are, what stagious we are,
-
because the challenges comes very different man a different way. No, no,
-
no, no challenge are equal, but the asset of challenges is still remains
-
the same game whether or not God is in control. Think about it for
-
a moment. You can package in a different way and God say, God
-
will say that it comes in a different manner, but it is God still
-
in control in your life? Is God still in control? So David the
-
Bible says that he wisely look to fifty two says Jesus, good wisdom,
-
Jesus gooing wisdom in stature, in favor with God and with men. How
-
important is for you and for me to grow in wisdom? Come on?
-
Yes, we grow in the ability to understand how social media works, how
-
to get all the right camera angers and stuff like that. We grew in
-
the ability to grow our lights, our following on social media. Fantastic.
-
Good on you if you're into that. Could I encourage you to go in
-
wisdom? But you may say, how and this stuff like that. Probabs
-
one was seven the fee of the Lord. It's the beginning of knowledge,
-
the fear of the Lord. Come on, how do I know that David
-
feel the come I say earlier on David just by cutting a piece of cloth,
-
could you imagine cutting off a piece of soul's rope? He felt so
-
bad? And I asked myself a question that you know that if you're clicking
-
something bad to you? You know, we have those crazy colligues once in
-
a while, right, And I'm sure once in a while we want to
-
get even once sometimes you understand Okay, okay, do you understand? Right?
-
Okay, that's it. And then the days whereby we we could have
-
done something, but we make something a bitings be easier. I just we
-
could make things and be easier, but we didn't. All right, right,
-
I'm not sure how many of us let our conscious just appeerss like David
-
just by cutting the moment he cut a piece of cloth, and David said,
-
what have I done? What have I done? I catched the loss
-
on David himself. I cut a piece of I don't know how we overseee
-
it like David. In David's position, just cut the rope right and go
-
like, yeah, hallelujah, right, praise the Lord. He got delivered
-
King Saul to me, or we're like David said, oh yea, I
-
felt so bad. Come on, it's only a piece of cloth. It's
-
not even sauce. It's all said. It's a different story, right,
-
This is only a piece of cloth. Not even the pet dog thinks life
-
anymore. This is a piece of cloth. And David felt so bad.
-
Second opportunity came. This time, David don't have to kill King Saw.
-
David don't have to touch King Saw his right hand men best January say,
-
David, just say the words, Just say the word. I'll cull it
-
for you at that very moment where you think about it. If you were
-
David one day, you used to be in the palace, next thing,
-
you were in the cave one day, you use of everything next to you
-
in what at one word and one word, at one word from you,
-
I'll kill King Saw. Your hands is clean, my hands will be dirty.
-
At one word. You don't have to run anymore, you don't have
-
to hide anymore. Things should be restored. What what? What? What?
-
What? Would our response be very easily to get tempted to say this
-
kill King Saul. You're not leading and by yourself you've got about six hungred
-
men with you. You're looking at your man. Your man's the tired living
-
in a cave, scavenging for food and this stuff. That you understand the
-
pressure that King David has. But David say that you cannot touch the lot.
-
Son in the fear of the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of
-
knowledge, which means to say that David do not just serve and want to
-
preserve King Saul's life for his own sake, but he leads himself with the
-
highest standard. I want to encourage you, friend, the test of whether
-
God's control nor is the test of just living yourself in the highest standard in
-
the Lord. Yes, it's not never easy. Friends, If you choose
-
this path, you're going to stay in the cave. Come on, this
-
is not a Batman's gave Batman cave, very different. This is a cave
-
whereby there is no life, no lessity dripping up from the ceiling. Food
-
just you know, simple and stuff like that. But it's a choice.
-
At the other day, because you wanted to follow the Lord. Some of
-
our choices who cause us the place where by redoubt like God, I chose
-
you, mam, but I'm still in a cave. I chose you,
-
I'm still going through this. I chose you, but I'm why am I
-
still here? Tests of regards children? The second test is this after that
-
king actually saying you go back to zick leg and David the Bible says initially
-
was he was mad, like, why do you ask me to go back?
-
I serve you with all my heart? You got to read first,
-
I no time, just read everything. You just go back and read first,
-
seme enterity right. And David said that THEYVI just said this, right?
-
What have I done? I serve you? I was loyal to you?
-
And I thought it was just the test of really regards in control not
-
But the other test I look at it is can you handle the test of
-
rejection? Face value? Right? David done everything correct? Rejected by the
-
peers, the Prince of Philistine. No matter what David, they couldn't David
-
couldn't break you couldn't break you in the circle in the fellowship and booted out.
-
You go back to your hometown. What did David DODVI did not form
-
a social media page to tear the Prince of Philistines out. David took up
-
with the king. Friends, if you're in the face of a first frustrating
-
problem, frustration, please bring up to the King of Kings. Please bring
-
up to learn how to bring up things to the King of Kings and not
-
deal with the Prince of Philistines. Matters what whether we deal with the Prince
-
of Philicine because they were the cause of all the problems. Man, but
-
David just deal King ashesh which means to say, you and I when we
-
deal it frustration, we need to learn to bring up to the King of
-
Kings. When was the last time we're doing our devotion? We we were
-
offloading things on our hearts. That's why in chapter six the US prayer,
-
forgive me Lord, as I forgive those trespass against me. Friends, we
-
need to allow God to deal with our hearts, to offer those some of
-
the pressures that we have. If not, we're constantly going to carry the
-
frustration and the anger and the disappointment and XPJA. They said, And so
-
I think you also saying us out here we make room right? No,
-
no, okay, PJD. I say, you know how dangerous is something
-
to to to sing songs like that, to make room for God and this
-
stuff like that, because the moment you make room for someone that you're not
-
gonna puss it up in the room. Many times we say we make room
-
for you, Lord, and we are Lot got inside. Yeah I have
-
got in the room. Praise. Yeah. It's the most like wearing something
-
on your neck like yeah, I got got here. But God doesn't just
-
want to stay in the room friends, making God making room for God is
-
like looking in our friends. So I have to tell XP is about money.
-
Friends, I'll schedule for example, our schedule is so packed on the
-
daily. He says, God has to make room for me. And the
-
make room for me is not just that one room there. Yea Lord,
-
I want the d means for you. That's it. It's not the agenda,
-
but the relationship with the Lord. Really, it is a relationship with
-
Lot. So David friends Paul towards the king, King saying you go back
-
to zickleg. David did not fight against the king. Zickleg is almost embarrassment.
-
You don't trust me, go back to hometown. Is that you don't
-
trust me? Lord? Com meat the hometown is like I've done everything correct,
-
Yet I cannot break true. I've done everything right. You cannot win
-
over you. Almost I wasted my time? Have you been you? I'm
-
so sorry when I look at David's life, I look at the emotions of
-
friends, because if we were like Davy shoes Dave, the Bible said that
-
they will carry himself wisely my right and just shows to me that David,
-
why would the king said he did it as you and I we never know
-
fully why God is orchestrating things about Because when David went back only to find
-
out his base, his hometown, his family was taken away. Could you
-
imagine that David didn't go back. David fought with the king, tried to
-
reserve with the prince of Philistine. I think he will forever lose his family.
-
Sometimes in our life is the moment we go against the king direction,
-
we might lose our family. One you think away from have you went agains
-
gotten our friends and we lost everything. So the second test that Davy has
-
to go to the first first chapter thirty is the test of losing everything.
-
He remembered the Zigg. The Bible says that only the felt zig like his
-
hometown was on fire. And when you look at David respond on first seven,
-
chapter thirty, all right, and we're gonna be from first semeter,
-
chapter thirty and thirty and thirty one, first such of the thirty. Now,
-
what happened when David and these men came up to Zickleg on the third
-
day that the Americas had invaded the South? And z and zick like and
-
attack zic like, burning with fire, friends, zick Leg was burned out
-
with fire, burned down with fire, verse two, and taken captive.
-
Women and those who were there, small to great, come on, small
-
to great, everybody taken away, everybody taken away friends. Women speaks about
-
fruitfulness, Choe speaks about the future. Could you imagine going by your hometown
-
the place of refuge? Burn So David has a hard day at work already
-
a friends with the Prince of Philis is right, and some of us really
-
a place is quite stressful? All right? Come on, don't you look
-
forward to go back to your own own woman or own house. Could you
-
magine going by your own place only for out there? Constant argument, constant
-
violence, constant Inderstand I'm trying to say, I'm not sure how many of
-
us it's a sight they want to go back to or not. But that
-
was what happened to David. He went back to Zig on fire. And
-
sometimes our houses are not on physical fire, but really it's on fire's very
-
hot, not because of no icon, it's hot, no rest. David's
-
wife and children were taken. I want you to look at David's and his
-
men's respond in worse three and David his men came to the city and there
-
was but the fire, and the wife and the sons daughters were taken.
-
Captive was for David, and those who were with him lifted the voices and
-
web until they had no power to reap. House on fire, women,
-
wife, and ChIL were taken away. Friends, David did not say,
-
oh, Zile is a fire less by great another town I have to share
-
one said David did not. Also, do not say this my wife and
-
unity because away a play. So I'm singer again. I can remarry Ah,
-
thank you Lord. David did not say that. Friends. He doesn't
-
say remarry is an option. Neither did say that. Fiday, Lord,
-
my wife been neggive me. That's me to change as me to stand straight
-
right. David did not. The Bible says that everybody was in tears because
-
friends, the site was very overwhelming, so much so grief turns to anger.
-
The Bible says the next scripture that David men begin was angry towards David
-
and wanted to stone him. There was six hungred men with David right now,
-
six hunger wiices, six hunger hands lift up stones and wanted the stone
-
David. Friends around here right now in this room is about sixty plus people
-
because you many times ten surrounding passes, Stephen pastor Stephen, you asked us
-
to do this. See how much we have paid the price. We lost
-
everything, We lost time, friends, I mean this menjument not Stevens married,
-
all right, just go Chid. He lost everything together with your Also,
-
it's not it's different than friends. It's different when if David did not
-
lose everything anything, and other people lost, but David also lost everything.
-
And hear the very very very very people that he transformed, change and courage,
-
the very people that he let turn against him, six hundred voices shouting
-
to his David, you want to know what six how the six hum words
-
is sound? Next time you worship? Hear then of the sound system.
-
Hear the sound sixty people amplify that by ten times when his worship is really
-
ful, friends, when his voice of violence, voice of voice of one
-
taking about someone's life is not et pity that the very moment, Friends,
-
I want you to imagine right now, if you were David, what would
-
you have done? What would you have done? It's never easy because the
-
Bible only put one scripture on it. Worse, six, David strengthened himself
-
in the lot. Sometimes you just reach God. We just explain to how
-
did he do it? Step one, step two, step three? Right,
-
So it's easier because you're not that smart after all. I mean,
-
it's so if it's so easy, friends, we tried so many times we
-
strengthen ourselves in the Lord, and many times you feel only because you've got
-
no strength. Can I just offer you something which I just try to understand
-
the scripture? I truly believe that, David, how you responded was this
-
is that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of confidence, the fear
-
of the Lord. Let me just discriputy thin approached the seventeen was twenty six
-
aproach the seventeens trainy six is no fourteen vers twenty six. Fear of the
-
Lord. There is strong confidence. These children, we have a place of
-
refuge in the field of the Lord. Come on, there is strong confidence,
-
not just confidence, but strong confidence. I wanted to encourage you friends.
-
I know I don't have a lot of time. I don't think i'll
-
do the last point. I will just envy this point. The test of
-
losing everything, everything is just it's the test of having this confidence in the
-
Lord. It's gonna be all right, God, It's going to come true
-
for you again. At times you don't have enough friends, really done,
-
enough time, enough resources, manbow everything. Our strength comes from the Lord,
-
the fear of the Lord. There is strong confidence, not just confidence,
-
strong confidence. I was driving here. The Lord just reveals another thought
-
to me that I was asking, why is it one line of friends?
-
How is this problem though? Why is this cripture only one line? But
-
David strengthened himself. You know why is it only one line? Because I
-
just wish that he could be like our textbook, like that step one,
-
step two, step three, right there, you know what to do.
-
But and I just got this thought. Your confidence doesn't come from remembering the
-
steps. Your confidence come from having a relationship think about it, and I
-
understood this. Your confidence come from having a relationship with him. No,
-
so so much so that if you didn't, if you obey all the steps,
-
doesn't mean the confidence will come sometimes alive you obey all the steps.
-
Life has his way to tow us a curveball. But when he is a
-
relationship, as are going to close when he is a relationship with the Lord.
-
Friends, no matter what curveball life true at you. You know that
-
the Lord is your refuge, a place you could run to a place that
-
you can pour your heart out, to a place whereby you know that God
-
we never leave you, no forsake you. As I close right now.
-
Sorry for taking this extra ten to fifteen minutes. First test was tested to
-
see whether God's in control or not. You know, our in our journey,
-
in our life. This test is always going to be there. When
-
it's called faith tests faith, faith, faith, You'll be tested. You'll
-
be tested with Okay, I mean maybe you don't like the word test.
-
Repackage it and that sounds like you'll be challenged to know whether God is there
-
or not. You'll be definitely be challenging one way or another God's control or
-
not. So I'm not talking about this finances, talking about everyday life.
-
Somethody could be driving and just driving, just many you own business friends.
-
Then some crazy driver on another lane decided to break Then the car on the
-
other land decided to serve into your lid. It happens, life happens.
-
God is still in control. He is still in control. We were asked
-
to leave DBCC. God is still in control. You're not going to hold
-
on the Lord? Why but God? Good night years, friends, good
-
night years. When we were carrying things down, some tears came down our
-
eyes. So many stories we turn up formal nightclub around and stuff like nobody
-
wanted to rent the place, former night club, the cleills in the trash,
-
and stuff like that, condombles following one area, you know, prostitution
-
happening in another area, and stuff like we're the workers themselves don't to work
-
in the area because they felt evil presence there and it was a very bad
-
place. But we turn it around. We turned, we turned, we
-
turned the place around. Even right now we have children playing around the area
-
because there's no evil presence anymore. We had a very bad neighbor tenet behind
-
us. There were but instance, in the shopping mall, don't stop real
-
big fire and not the small one. Okay, this real big fire.
-
That's how they would they They actually covered the fire alarm and stuff like that.
-
And we completed a couple of times and stuff that. You know,
-
we told the owner owner tried to do something right, but they we know
-
they were not wrestling with flesh and blood. How understand that? So we
-
did the most Christian thing we ever could do. We decided, though we
-
have very very old computers. Put put the old computers speaker, put praiser
-
of worship, and the force ever just put it very loud towards towards the
-
door. They're aiming towards them. For every person that passed by, they
-
listened to prais of worship. And then the most Christian thing we could do
-
anyway, in the most peaceful living way. But really and then of the
-
day, friends, they would have according to the new owners of the up
-
there, they tried to get them out. God is still in control.
-
Friends, There is no day and one. I want to encourage you to
-
tests of losing every day. We lost our place broken into twice. Early
-
days of church, brand new computer. Back then we saved enough money in
-
friends. If you know how expensive Apple I might was back then, this
-
was that mythic color monitor. We saved about six thousand ring back then,
-
small amount to some of us, but we saved for three years. But
-
our very first computer, use of two days, got stolen, brooking into
-
our plots, all booken into. We came in there a Monday, taken
-
funny things. You don't take our tables. They took our computers, took
-
everything away. We were disappointed. We were crashing, was like trying to
-
figure out who. They took our air counts as well. Then after that
-
we did up the place again, only to be booken again. We didn't
-
spend of two months. It was not our unit, but this whole whole
-
shop lots around back then. We were disappointed. We lost almost everything.
-
We were like our spirit was crushed because our very first computer that we bought
-
firsthand. All this time we were given hand me downs computer and we need
-
complain. We just used it was given to us. We're all right,
-
but you know, to own something for the very first time, try and
-
enjoy, right, you understand what if you understand so only to be sold
-
after treated usage. Then we have a staff that resided on one man up
-
because you have to he wants to work for his own church. We asked
-
him on the side of that, hey, you took a computer back to
-
Usler just joke compute that you go, we bless you, right, But
-
we're just joking with him. But you know, really it's like close right
-
now we lost everything, we lost, we lost everything back then, it's
-
very sad alone. Then we're putting measures whereby humanly we slept in our office
-
all night because we don't trust the locks for a season, we just took
-
them sleeping in the office. But what would you do really and them being
-
angry, being you know, suspicious, don't trust anyone, No ready is
-
allowed. You know how hard it is, you know, to trust again,
-
especially people who opened up their place with home zone. We thought everyone
-
who knows how to use the toilet. Seriously, I remember I've been to
-
one homes. As I close, I go, they share the CEU.
-
A person used toilet in flash big business. The next person used came in
-
there saw the mess. These are not random streaming is just people know the
-
anger frustration builds up. I think the question here is is that you know
-
with with your things being a desecrator. Can I just use the word your
-
sanctuary, your rest like like David like no more already, but you even
-
can you? Can you even find strength in your relationship with the Lord?
-
Very important? Can you find strength in your relationship with the Lord. It's
-
not so much about doing the steps I used to think. It's about steps
-
you used to think about, like step one, step two, step three,
-
right, But it's your relationship that gives you strength. Think about it.
-
Your earthly relationship with your spousers give you a lot of strength to wake
-
up to fight for another day. What more, relationship with God. That
-
relationship will give you hope and the future. That relationship will give you strength.
-
There seems to be no more strength. That relationship will help you to
-
see the impossible. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
