Obey - That All May Know | Dr Jill Ling

You're listening to a message to go from ex Church. We hope this message

will light up your day. So for those of you who know, our

exteen's victory camp took place from Thursday to Saturday, and we went all the

way to a place called Surrender. How many of you have heard of Surrender?

Surrender? No, not peace Haven? Okay, okay some of you.

So Surrender is actually in Rawang. It's about one hour's drive from Subang.

Yeah, so we went there and we went to a campsite called Canaan

Valley and it's really in a valley. Yeah, it's very beautiful. So

we spent three days, two nights there and so I'm going to share with

you some pictures and videos of what happened. Now. So firstly, my

husband and I we can show the first picture, yeah on my slide.

Yes, So this is my husband passa Jack, Jack and jail for real.

Yes. I never wanted to marry a Jack because I'm like, I

feel people will teach me all my life. But he wanted to marry a

jail because he thought it was special. Yeah. So there's my husband,

Paster Jack and uh yeah that's me, and there's our elder son, Judah

Judah or I we fondly call him Judah Boiler. Yeah, don't dime,

I told you his nickname okay at home? Yeah, and so yeah,

on Thursday morning, we actually sent Judah off to the Extins camp and of

course he's super excited. Uh, my son is quite cool, I said,

like, he doesn't really show his emotions much like, so when he

shows, right, it really means a lot. Yeah, I think for

mena you know, you know what I mean. Now, Yeah, so

this is on the way to parking at summit and standing him off. He's

super excited. Next picture, Oh, sorry the extra slights. God no,

man, no man nois we go ahead? So okay, anyway,

the next picture just wanted to show you that besides sending Judah off the camp,

Passenger and I also sent ourselves off to camp as well. We also

went to you know, serve and to volunteer as adult leaders. Passing.

Jet also took a session as well, and I also help with the workshop.

So we were part of the camp and that's when we realized, wow,

our age because right throughout the camp is full on and the teen's right,

the energy level is just like that. No, we start our morning

devotion at seven thirty, energy levels like that, and then that three four

o'clock is games. The energy level is still like that. Eleven o'clock at

night they're playing games. Energy level is still like that. My word for

for us adults, our energy levels like right, okay, So yeah we

were there, but despite being stretched physically, our hearts were just so full.

Our spirits were just so full because we saw how each and every team

you know, not just had fun, not just build friendships, but each

of them encountered God personally. Yeah, and I'll tell you a little bit

more about that later. Yeah, and so there was that really, so

you know, while the flesh is weak, the spirit is wi linger.

Yeah, okay, so yeah, we're proud of our name texts as a

part of the camp team. Yeah. And this this is a view of

the valley as well. Yeah, the campsite is the signed So this this

is the valley, very beautiful actually yeah, okay, so the next picture.

Now, what was special about this year's Teens Cam for our family personally

was that it was the first time that passer Jack, myself, Judah,

we went for a full exteens camp again. Okay, why I say So

it's because I used to serve in the Extines Ministry when I was in medical

school, when I was working as a junior doctor. When I became a

young mom, I had my first son, Judah, I was serving in

the Ecstins Ministry and in this picture, so I dug it up for my

Instagram archive. Yeah, it's dated five June twenty twelve. So at the

time, Judah was only not even three months old. He was two and

a half months old. Yeah, And and we went to Exstein's Camp as

a young family at that time, and we served at the Exstein's Camp.

We brought Judah along, so that that was the first time we went as

a family unit of three. Yeah. And so this round when we went

after twelve years, it was quite nostalgic for us that like, wow,

now our boy has grown up and he's not there just because his parents are

serving, but he's there because legitla he made it to cam. Yeah,

twelve years is the legit age to sign up for camp. So it was

it was something quite nostalgic and sentimental and touching for me. Also it's like,

wow, God, you have actually preserved our family for the past twelve

years. For us to come to this point that our son has grown up

and he's still growing, but now he's going to enter teenage years. Yeah,

and you still preserve you know, Jack and myself to be around and

still to be serving you. And I pray Lord, may you preserve us

for many many more years to serve you as a household. So this year's

camp was special for us on a family level. Okay. Yeah, So

for Camp right, we had about one hundred over teens slightly one hundred and

sixteens okay, and they came from all over in of X, out of

X around X. Yes, we also had forty four adult leaders come.

Wow, the ratio is amazing, rite almost almost to one adult to two

teens almost like yeah, and so really praise good for every adult leader that

served that volunteered. Now, I know a lot of our ex partners,

our ex teens, our XKK partners, x KK teens XKK leaders were there.

Can you just stand up those of you who are there, come on,

stand up, just stand up. Yeah, yeah, those of you,

and this is not our heroes have just returned from CAM, that's right.

Yeah, I think there'll be more in the second service. Yeah,

thank you. So much so Pasadaniel our ex teens passed led the charge.

Yes, he's the man that's responsible for all that happened, not as kidding.

All the good happened, yeah, all the not good. It's the

team just kidding, no no, no, yeah. So Pasidaniel led.

He led, not just spiritually, but he led even with his hands.

He went not buying the snacks, yeah, he was carrying. He was

carrying baskets. Yeah. Yeah, together with rachel exactly. Power couple,

really, Rachelle. You know, behind every strong successful man there is an

even stronger woman supporting woman. Yeah she yes, really really during cam,

you know, Rachelle was just just silently but stealthily running behind the scenes making

sure everything was happening. Parcedaniel is the front man, you know, so

together you need both, you need both the front end and the back,

and so you know, keep going. Power couple. Yeah. And Kem

Commandon was Olivier our Olivia who worship led here. Yeah she was Kim Commandon

together with esher. Yeah, and so I mentioned a few other names as

well later when they come. But well done. We're so proud of your

girl, not despising your youth, but being an example. Yeah, amen,

So, yeah, the teen's had a lot of fun. I'm going

to show you some videos. I think we can show the one, the

captain ball one. How many of you here you you know of captain ball?

Okay? Normally can you show me with your hands? How big is

the ball? Show me with your hands? Okay, very good, very

good. Okay, Now let's see how big was the ball that the team's

played with. So they use a yoga ball to play captain ball. Can

you believe it? Oh my gosh, so big. Not only that,

they also use a small ball the size I kid you not, Yeah,

super small, and and as a normal ball as well. But yeah,

so this was sound of fun. I think that's another slide as well on

the station game. So this was day one. Next day we had like

station games, like six seven, eight stations. So I'm gonna show you

one of the stations. The next video the blending one. Ah, so

they had to choose for their opposite team the crazy ingredients that go into their

smoothie. So this smoothie was what you know, Milo lemon sardine bitter God

came actually lemon mino sadin bitter I see some I see album one who drew

up already. Oh goodness me. Yes, and let's see. I think

the next video shows our x k K tings actually down in it. Yeah

there's Amanda Samuel right, yeah, yeah, they down it. Okay,

they downed it. Yeah. And I was doing first eight, but no

one came to me because I was like, no, no, no,

I'll say if, I'll say i'll say if you don't worry parents, I'll

say if okay. Yeah. So this was part of the station games.

There were many other station games, but I can't show you all. If

not, I won't preach it all today. Okay. Next another video is

oh, this was one of the highlights of CAM for the teens, a

free time where they did just water play in the pool. See how many

teens you ate the pool? And that was too almost the whole cam was

in the poolar close to one hundred people. But this was on the highlights

of the teens, at least on my son. I said, well,

what's the best part about chem or swimming pool? About swimming in Jesus?

I yes, that too. Okay. So the teens definitely had a fun

time, you know, and I I know, like Jasmine and Elisha from

XKK. They actually were part of a team that led the epic the games

up right. Okay, but you know what, besides funer, our teens

are had a faith filled time and that's what's even more important, and that's

the age of the church. Compared to your school cam or your summer camp

outside. What we offer as a church is the faith aspect. Right,

And it's going to show you a video of you know, the worship.

Yeah, the teens let in worship this rounde. No adults were leading in

worship except during ministry time, but otherwise the teens were leading in worship.

Olivia was leading in worship. Yeah, so let's look at the bin.

Yeah yeah, all right, so our teens are they bravely and they passionately

let in worship, and it was really powerful. You know, I was

personally very ministered to by the worship. Honestly, when I was at camp,

I was, you know, burdened by different things. Being adults,

right, sometimes carry a lot of burdens, But every time we worship,

right, I just felt the burdens lifted up. I was very free during

the time of worship. So I really appreciated that, you know, even

as adults although we went to serf, but we also were ministered to and

bless God is so good. You know, when you give to His kingdom,

he will never just take from you and not give back. He will

give back and give back many times over. So don't be afraid to serve

God. Okay, I want to share with you something quite interesting. So

the second night right, this was worship from the first night. Second night.

I didn't have a video because I was so and crossed in worshiping God.

But I remember second night right as we were worshiping, I felt there

was something different about that night's worship. Do you remember those of you who

were there for the few worship songs that we were singing, the whole team,

not just the worship team, but the teens on the ground, the

adults on the ground. We kept clapping. We kept going back into claps

during the worship, which we normally don't. Normally, first song we clap,

blah, slow song, we leave our hands right, but this one

not even during the slow songs, there were times that we kept going back

into a marching clap, if you know what I mean. And it wasn't

the worship team that led in that marching clap. It was the ground.

You know, the teens on the ground started clapping on their own. Can

come, let's let's clap a marching clap. Okay, yeah, so this

is a gentle marching clap. Okay, maybe because it's nine o'clock in the

morning, thank you very much. But on that night this was many times

over. It was a strong marching clap that the whole group just going into

over and over again, even during the slow worship song. And I felt

in my spirit it was a very it was like a war cry kind of

march worship. It wasn't just like, oh Lord, you know poor me,

Minister to me helped me. I mean, there are times we need

that kind of personal ministry worship. But what I felt that night it was

actually a warfare kind of worship, like God used us to do something for

you. We're marching forward. That was the field that I felt like,

as we're worshiping, it was like an army of teens. Yeah, and

you know what happened, God confirmed through a physical sign. Let's show the

picture of the So this is our ex teens stage back drop made out of

brown paper and Marca penn. It's not Wudner. It was not printed in

the print Expert factory. You know those brown paper that we used to wrap

our exercise books with on the marjong paper with. It was that brown paper.

Yes, and one teen she drew all by hand. Her name is

Hannah May. She's in my homes in Ciber. Yeah, she's only fifteen,

right, sixteen, fifteen years old. So this was a masterpiece.

Amazing. Yeah, a kampong house because if you go to the campsite,

it's a very kampound feel. Yeah, so she wanted to you know,

flow with that. So this was put up on day one. Day two

was Day two. Night was the war cry worship. So after worship as

the chairperson passed the mic to Pasta Daniel. He was on that night to

share God's word. Just at the start when Passa Daniel took the mic,

you know what happened to this? Let's show the next picture. Oh,

yes, we've read, Yes, we prayed. It's what the differences?

What was the difference? Friends, can you'll see the difference or not?

The backdrop fell down and it didn't just fall like you know, for those

of you who have stuck things on the world, sometimes when things fall it's

just like a dog year right, one side will fall first, then after

another side, then another side slowly for no, this one not the whole

thing in just yeah, one second bush. The whole thing came down like

that. So first I couldn't even take a video of it, but I

told myself I had to take a picture of this at least for my own

memory that hey, God is saying something and showing us something that as our

teens rose up in worship, they didn't have to be led by the worship

team, but the spirit of God rose up a war cry worship, a

forward march worship, and attack worship. Right, the walls came down.

The walls came down France, And I believe this wall is twofold. God

is saying that there'll be there are walls in our teens' lives that need to

come down that's limiting them from going deeper with Him. But these walls that

night God has brought down. And the other wall is the wall of reaching

out for him, It has also come down. And so we believe that

that night true, that you know, our powerful worship God was bringing down

walls, walls between our teens and Him, walls between our teens and reaching

the world, and he wanted to confirm it with a physical sign. And

so that's what God has done, even in our ectines came and that's just

the beginning. That's just the beginning. Amen, or you know, Passne,

Passa Daniel. Different pastors actually spoke God's word on point as well.

You know, each of them. They it's like they carried a piece of

jigsaw puzzle through their message. So Passa cannef spoke. We have a picture

of Pasa Cano speaking. The next picture. Yeah, he spoke, and

he brought one piece of God's jigsaw puzzle for the teens. And then Passa

Daniel spoke, he brought another piece. Passassandra spoke, Passa Jack spoke,

Passus Stevens spoke, Passa Yvonne spoke. Sorry, I don't have all the

pictures. No, okay, no, I mean not maybe maybe who knows

that, who knows you see, Yeah, but all our pastors, like

six of them, they all spoke for different sessions. But it was beautiful

because when you look right throughout whatever they're speaking, you can only see one

message, which is the message of God. And everyone brought a piece of

jigsaw puzzle and he just strung it together as a big message for our teens

and that was amazing. And at the end of the messages, you know,

the speakers will call for an altar call and they'll be packed. The

teens just came running up to the altar over and over again, and different

leaders laid hands, you know, release words of God, prayed for our

teens, and there were many tears and the altar they we have to mop

the altar after that because a lot of tears are dried up radio the winner

of the Holy Strait came and dried up. Yeah, and so you know

teens, I know many of the teens they received personal words that really encouraged

them. You know, they experience. Got One of the things that passed

cano shed that camp was that faith cannot be explained only it's got to be

experienced. And we believe that every team went back with an experience of God.

Amen. All right, what else happened? Okay, now you can

show eliza'sick or Elishah's when she was standing so on the last night. Now,

this for me was my personal favorite partler of the camp. For me,

it was the last night where Pasadeniel actually asked the teens who had experienced

God at camp to comet and share their testimonies. And so I think there's

one picture just how you saw the picture with Elishah right, the young girl

in the d T shirt. Yes, she's on Excotacod morning too. Yay

you. So she went up and I won't I want st of like you

know, tell your whole testimony. But basically she was the game master,

and she shared that almost everything that was planned right when wrong during the games,

but we couldn't tell on the show receiving it, we couldn't tell.

But she came out and confessed, you know, whatever we planned this way,

it turned out the other way. And she was super stressed, and

she was also serving on the keyboard for worship. But she said, in

the midst of the mess, the Master showed up. God showed up and

gave her a supernatural peace and confidence that everything will turn out right just as

how he wanted. Maybe not how she wanted, but how he wanted.

And she had strength to keep going on, and she came out to testify,

and that's from the heart. Nobody bribed her or foster her to share

that testimony. And this shows you that God is doing something with our young

people. He's giving them personal experiences. Yes, sometimes he allows massiness to

happen so that he can show his masterness in the midst of the mess.

Amen. So you hear more from her and different teens. So this is

the faith part, friends, Oh not only that. Let me see.

Ha, we had thirteen salvations. Thirteen salvations, two rededications, and tree

one thing to know more. So all in all, eighteen responses out one

hundred, that's like nearly twenty percent response rate. For those of you who

are business people, you're like, man, you know that's that's that's good,

right, that's high right. And but in God's you know eyes,

you know that's his best for us. And so that's amazing, you know,

just so many young people that want to know Jesus. I want to

say a special shout out. Okay, we can show the next picture.

The team is Kanda. Okay, so this team really it's a team from

Exis Kander. So Exis Kanda is our sister church down in JB. And

I want to say a special shout out because Pastor Paul, he's actually the

CPC of Axis Kanda. Just how passa Daniel is your CPC here in XKK

and registration started at eight am on Thursday morning. He left Iskanda at four

am with the teens just to be for registration. They were earlier than all

the Klang Valley people. They came from JB Power right, and so as

his daughter Kaylee. Yeah that he's holding the rest of the young people that

you've seen in the picture. Yeah, they're actually from shelter homes. Yeah,

the brooke at home in his canda and he brought all five in his

car. And you know what, two of them except the Jesus that came.

Wow wow wow. And yesterday they left came a bit earlier. You

know how many hours they took to reach back JB. Seven hours. They

took seven hours to reach back JB. But you know what Pastor Paul says.

So always were like whoa pasta Paul. Seven hours is longer than usual,

JB. Nominally four five hours can reach already seven is long lock.

So we were all like, wow, pass all you champion, you know.

And this is what he said. He said, for two pressures in

Skanda salvations, I'll do another seven hours if I have to. All glory

to God, Amen. Wow you know, praise Scot for every precious salvation,

so precious, no, yeah, and praise Scott for every child and

servant of God that were willing to sacrifice and serve to let God save our

precious young people and draw them to Him. Really, so such is his

dedication, you know. Personally for me, being at the teens camp this

year was also something that was also very nostalgic and sentimental for me because I

got saved at the teen years old. I also went to teens camp when

I was after I got saved in my teenage years, and it was at

the teens camps that I actually gave my life to Jesus to serve him.

I accepted Jesus in church, but it was at camp that I went an

extra step and I said, Lord, of my life to you, everything

I've been through, use it for your glor. Lord. I of of

my days to you, lifting my praise to you as a pleasing sack grifus,

Lord, I offer you my life. It was at the teens camps

that I went to as a teen that I offered my life to Jesus to

say, you didn't save me for myself, but I want to give you

my life so that you can save many others. And true the years that

have passed by, the seasons of life, I've grown up since then,

and I've honestly forgotten the prayers that I've prayed. But God never forgets.

He holds me to my word. And that's why I want to say,

teens, camp is so powerful because that's where we have a special encounter with

God, that burning bush moment where become a site. You know, Moses

had to come a side from his routine and to encounter God at the burning

bush in a special way. And camp for many teens is that burning bush

moment and how they respond to God and give their lives to serve God wholeheartedly.

God will honor their word. And so I told my small group teens

during our devotion that why I'm sitting in front of you this morning, facilitating

your small group, I believe is because God honored my prayer as a teen.

They say, God use all of me, all of my life,

and He has preserved me to still be in church, to be on fire

for him, even though life continues to be challenging by He has preserved me

because of the prayers that I made as a teen at camp. And now

I can sow into another teen's camp. When someone sowed into me as a

teen, I now paid forward. So the teens count with me. I

say, I got save a thirteen. Now I'm forty one this year.

How many years have I been a Christian? Then they come for me twenty

eight twenty eight years. I say, you know, God really honored my

prayer as a teen and preserve me for twenty eight years to be here to

serve you. And I pray God, we preserve you many more years by

saying, come on, teens, ask the Lord to also preserve you that

one day you will be in my shoes. You will be the cock God

the church chair that was sobered into the next generation of teens in front of

you. Yeah, and so it's powerful. So I just want to praise

scot for you know what he's done and ex Teen's Camp. Really, God

deserves the full glory, the full glory of every teen life, every adult

life, every life that was touched and transformed by him. Thank you Church

for giving to cam. I know the businessman in XKK rose up to actually

raise up I think three thousand over ring it to meet a deficit in the

camp expenses. So God turned a negative to a positive. Amen. Thank

you, you know, everyone who prayed, Thank you everyone who released your

teens, supported us, you know, and well done to the whole organizing

committee. And all glory to God. Only He alone can touch and save

lives. Amen, and more to come. This is just the beginning.

So church, you know why I'm sharing this with us. It is because

we have a shared responsibility. On the Final Day devotion, we talk about

keeping the fire burning. We acknowledge, yes, you know, they had

a burning bush moment with God, they encountered God, cam God set them

on fire. But we challenge them, how are you going to keep the

fire burning even after you come back from camp? And that's our shared responsibility

together with them. Yes, our teens will have to do their part.

Spend time with God, be in church, you know, be bold to

make stands, be an example. But Church, we also have a part

to play in helping the fire to keep going. Come on, encourage our

teens so into their lives, serve them, pray for them, you know,

lead them. And so it's our responsibility together to help our teens keep

their fire burning. Amen, together with God. Okay, So this part

one or my message Praise the Lord. I hope you're catching something. Okay,

all right, now I'm going into the second part of my message for

this morning, and the title is obey that all may know? All right,

and we know that the theme that God has given extra this year is

that all may no yes. And so today I'm going to talk from an

angle of obedience, and I'm going to talk through the lens of my own

life. So I'm gonna start with my story and I'm going to end with

his story. Okay, now let's show the next picture. Okay, this

is my high school, or this was my high school, all right.

I went to SMK I J Convent in Joho Baru Jala yahya awal. Anyone

here from Convent jab Yes? Yes, yes, Anti Christina was my chemistry

teacher. Oh she was dad does English teacher? Yes? Yes, yes,

In fact yeah, doctor James was the hospital director of the government hospital

in jb where my dad worked as a surgeon. And so wow, you

know this this is our history. So Anti Christina was my high school teacher.

I'm a true blooded convent girl. Any convent girls here, any common

girls? Wow? Okay, sister, you read awesome. Any MGS girls

here they always say a MGS and convener Malecca. Oh my mum was also

MGS. Malecca will chat more after this. Okay, all right, this

is the maze of MGS. Okay, So I'm a true blooded convent girl,

as you can tell or not tell. I'm very proud of my school.

Now, my school did not look like this in those days. Are

this one is modern day? And I think they enhance the picture, right,

I think Christina the school. Honestly, our pain was ripping off.

It was more gray than white color in paint. Yeah. So, but

this is a very nice ideal picture of my school. So the left,

the right side is primary school. The left side is secondary school. So

I went through primary and I went to secondary. Right now, I'm going

to tell you about a bit about my secondary school days. Now, next

picture, m So, I was part of my school softball team. I

played softball for my school. I used to play catcher. I was the

catcher, so I had to wear all the gears from head putto Yeah.

So can you guess which is me? Ah wish our teacher left? All

right, okay, very cool, Yes that's me. This was from five

I was from five. Okay, we can move to the next picture.

Okay, so this is me all right. I was the vice captain of

my school softball team. Yeah, and our team was called Braves Braves.

Yeah. And on the right the girl that I circle, her name is

Ching Ching and Ching Jin was the captain of my school softball team. So

for five years in high school, we were playing on the same team for

our school, and we spent many hours together in the sun and in the

mud. Let's show another picture. This was a picture that, yeah,

was earlier, but this is how we look on the field. So at

the back, it's a big field, all right. And this was our

uniform for softball. Yeah. We had to wear like that, Yeah,

pull up socks and also track pants and we wore soccer shoes and we would

run in the muddy field and we would sometimes slide and get all dirty.

So can you guess it's just me? Can I see? Right? I

know? I had to scan this old school picture. Okay, let's show

the next slide. So that's me, that's me here, and that's Chingqing.

So we had times of fun. We went crazy while playing on the

field, and so we had a friendship of five years in high school.

We were playing on the softball team together. We were also in the same

class for I think the last three years, and we had, you know,

the same group of friends, so we were close. Now what happened

was but throughout high school, right, I never really thought about reaching out

to Chinching. I knew she was not a believer, but at that point,

I guess I was still growing, so I never really thought of reaching

out to her. I had reached out to other friends. I invited them

to the youth camps those days as well, But I don't know why I

really did not think of reaching out to Chinchin when I was in high school.

And then after from five we went out separate ways. Next so I

came to KL to study A levels and later on medical school. Chinchin went

down south to Singapore. She did JC Junior College and she went on to

study in Singapore as well. And we lost touch after that. Actually,

after from five, we both got busy in our own lives, and yeah,

we lost touch. Now what happened was next night, two years ago.

Okay, Yeah, should I share this story? Yeah, okay,

I can so down the road right, when Chinjing was in junior college.

Her mom actually passed away in a car accident. It was a hit and

run. Yeah, that was really really said. One day her mom went

to the market with the neighbor, and a motorcyclist came and was careless and

hit her mom and a mom passed away on the spot. That was how

serious it was, and it was tragic. It was tragic that she had

to lose her mom at a young age. She is the only girl in

a family of four or five boys, so mom was really the closest to

her love. Yeah, and a lord had gone on in her home while

growing up, so mom was really that shield, that safe space for her.

So for her to lose Mom was like as if she lost her life,

you know. And not only that, she told me later on that

she was supposed to be back that day to bring her mom to the market,

but because she wanted to study more her exams were coming, she stayed

back in JC And so she she has held that guilt like, if only

I was back, maybe I could have prevented this accident from happening. Yeah,

So I told her that, you know, really led the Lord minister

to you. You know, he's not a god of guilt. But he's

a god of forgiveness, He's a god of understanding, He's a god of

freedom. Yeah, and so now when happened. Now I heard about the

news about her mom passing on. Suddenly we were I was in Ko,

she was in Singapore. I had a sense of reconnecting with her to comfort

her, but I didn't. I didn't the time I was in KL in

college. I didn't because I felt ashamed that I wasn't in touch with her

anymore. So for me to suddenly get back in touch and you know,

talk about such a sensitive topic, I felt I couldn't lah, So I

actually held back. I did not reconnect with her in our college days,

although I heard the news. Looking back, if I could relieve that part

of my life again, I would have reconnected with her at that point.

So so I showed the sheaf face because she was sad. I was also

said yeah, both for our own reasons. Next, now fast forward to

two years ago. So two years ago, we would have been almost forty

already. One night, God gave me a dream about qin Ching, And

I can't remember that dream very clearly. It was daytime and I had invited

her to visit ex church together with me. And in that dream, I

think we were in kl I was going to invite her to maybe ex Subangjaiya

at the time, and I was driving her in my car to bring her

to church. And in the car we were talking and we were just catching

up. We were happy. And then after that, you know, I

felt led to ask Chin Chin how she's doing, and I felt led to

ask how her marriage was doing. And then in that dream she replied that

actually her marriage isn't doing well. And then the dream stopped. I woke

up and I remembered that dream. Out of all my many dreams or no

dreams, it was significant. And then I felt again God saying, Jill,

reconnect, reconnect with Chinching. And what I did, I didn't.

I did not reconnect with Chinching. Second time, God ask me, you

know, to reconnect after so many years and at time I've grown as a

Christian, I've grown as a person in life. One would think that at

that stage of my life I would reconnect with her, but I didn't.

Whya Whya? I was asking myself whyre same reason, because I pis sy

I pie said, because God now is so many more years that I have

not been in ti with her, and you want me to get back in

touch with her. Cannot love God cannot lah, It's just too taugh.

I cannot. I cannot do it. So I didn't reconnect with her at

that time two years ago. But you know, God is so good.

He's a god of second and many more chances. A few months down the

road, he gave me the same dream about Ching Ching, same dream,

but he changed a bit of the element spot the difference. This time the

dream happened at night, not daytime. This time the dream happened in JB,

not KL. But I was still driving my car, my same car,

driving her in my car to go to church. In that dream,

I also invited her to ask church in JB at night at night, I

kid you not yes, same so sound same same same but different different.

So in that dream again I was catching up with her, and then finally

came to the question, and how are you are changing? And then and

then again I said the same thing changing, how's your marriage doing? And

then this time she actually shed a bit more about her marriage. But I

won't share details here, okay, but basically her marriage was not doing good

and she was on the brink of separating from her husband, and then I

woke up the dream stop. Then I knew, okay, God, I

got to recognize with her third time. Already, you're speaking to me once

I say no, twice I say no. Third time I cannot say no

is so strong. So after that, what I did in the next few

weeks was I went to hunt for her on my Facebook messenger because I didn't

have her contact number, so I thought, okay, how I've seen her

on Facebook. Let me message her through messenger. So I messaged her and

I was very bold. I think it's really the Holy Spirit. So I

thought, hey, Ching Ching, you know, like, how are you.

I know it's been so long, but you know, God gave me

a dream or dreams about you, and I thought I wanted to just,

you know, find out how you're doing. That was my starting conversation.

And then for a few weeks and she didn't reply, so I was like,

see, God, see I told you this will happened. She probably

saw my message and she don't want to respond to me because you know,

maybe she's mad at me for not being in touch with her all this while.

Yeah, my human side was playing, but then one day, a

few weeks later, she actually replied my message and she said, Ay,

Jill, sorry, lot, I just only saw your message because I was

traveling in Europe for a few weeks because I was going to a really tough

time and I needed just to get away and just find myself again, find

hope and meaning in life again. And when I came back, I saw

your message because when she was in Europe, she actually went to one of

the churches, I think in Italy, and there she said in the cathedral,

praying to ask God to show himself to her if he's real. And

when she came back, she saw my message and then she she She's like,

could this be an answer to the prayer that I made when I was

traveling in Europe. And then so we reconnected and then she shared about what's

been going on with her life, her struggles, and I journeyed with her

over the phone. Yeah. And so I journeyed with her. I walked

with her, I prayed with her, cried with her, encouraged her,

and we went through that tough season of her being separated from a husband.

And that was end of twenty twenty two, So twenty twenty three we both

got busy with life again, Yeah, we're both happening. People is kidding?

Yeah. No, she's a very capable young lady. You know,

in schooler I used to admire her. You know, she was sportswoman.

She was me social. Uh you know, she was really she was like

the other side of me, you know. But I found out later on

she also looked up to me as well because I was I was doing well

in studies and I did well as a prefect. Uh and uh, you

know, so so bors we're like admiring each other. And so you put

all us together, right, probably you'll get that maybe that perfect student,

na, maybe yeah. So yeah, So she's a very capable woman.

So she got busy with life. I also got busy of life. She

has a daughter, a young daughter. And then in twenty twenty four,

in when was itna, I think it was March, we did our salt

our Saturday ex leaders training and leaders do you remember what was the activity for

the March Salt. We had to take out our own as leaders during the

training and we had to pray ask God, God, who on our address

book or phone list right should we send a message right now? During Salt

to check in on them and offer them a prayer. And her name came

to my mind, her name flesh in front of my eyes, in my

spirit, and honestly, at that time, I say, Nola, God,

she's so far away, give me someone near her. I tried to

think of this neighbor, Auntie on my left, that neighbor on my right,

you know, because we're supposed to have deep and meaningful conversations. Following

that text, I'm not how she's in Singapore. God, he flashed again

her name in front of in my head. So I'm like, okay,

I cannot run away, canno run away? So I say yes, I

say yes, this strong, I still say yes okay. Fourth timer Yeah,

And I sent her a text after one year plus of you know,

not really being in touched because we're both busy, right, and she responded

immediately before Saul ended okay. She told me that she was actually going through

like the toughest point in her career. She almost wanted to, you know,

give up her job. And she said, Jill, how can it

be that every time I met my lowest point in life, you show up?

I say it can only be God, say ching ching. I honestly

have no idea what you're going through. But he's the one that leads me

to connect with you at different points. And the next day she went to

church by herself. I didn't ask her to go to church, of course,

the day before I prayed with her about her career, and the next

day she felt like to go to church on her own. It's the Holy

Spirit. And then after that, on that day, during the Salvation call,

she opened her heart and accepted Jesus into her life. And for many

years she's actually been visiting church, but she's never been fully ready to open

her life and invite Jesus in because she was wondering, God, how could

you take away my mom from me? Remember her mom passed away in a

car accident. She said, God, if you're so good, why did

you take my mom away from me, the most important person in my life.

But on that day, that Sunday, that she opened her heart and

accepted Jesus finally, she told me. After she came back from church,

she texted me, she said, Jill, that day I experienced God like

never before. I felt that every word that the preacher was saying was directed

to me. I don't know why I couldn't stop crying. I just bought

my eyes out, I bought my life out, and at the end,

I just felt I had to accept this God who showed up in my life

over and over again, true you when I was at my lowest points.

You know, this friend of mine, she's been through a lot of challenges.

She may not show it's she has a very strong, positive, happy

friend, but she's been through a lot on the back end, to a

point that she actually gave up on life before. But God preserve her.

God preserve her. And I said, Ching Ching, you know God loves

you so much that he never let you go. Even when you let go

of yourself and you let go of life. God loves you so much that

he never lets go of you. And I'm glad to be part of His

plan in your life. And so she has accepted Jesus and down the road,

I think that The following month, I had an opportunity to go to

Singapore to do a work training, a mental health workshop for ex Singapore.

And during that trip I stole sometime to actually meet up with Ching Ching and

this was the picture of me meeting up with her. Over what was first

became lunch because we talked so much, so this changing and myself catching up,

Yes, and we had so much to talk and it was a lot

about God, how God worked in her life, my life, our lives,

and we shed about even our dreams of doing more for God. She

believes that God has saved her, preserved her because there's something that He wants

to do through her life for others. And the next day, next picture,

she came to axing a pall with me. So I'm we had to

say that dreams do come true in God, friends, dreams do literally come

true. I dreamed that I brought her to extra and God really brought it

through Phraise God. Wow. She visits an x singaphore, you know,

and it didn't stop there, you know. I mean she experienced freedom in

her struggles. She had experienced hope in the struggles. Now she has renewed

strength to live on and to strive on. And not only that, she

couldn't contain what God had done for her. So she started sharing with our

other old friends and one other old friend who has not who was a believer,

but stop going to church. After hearing changing share, she say,

Hey, I also want to go back to church La. So it's a

domino effect and changing is still going around sharing with our other friends. You

know what God did for me. You know what God did for me.

You know what God did for me. She was like a Samaritan woman that

encountered Jesus. There has so many reasons to give up on life, but

God did not give up on her. Amen. And here I just want

to, you know, draw to a close by referring to scripture that really,

through this whole journey, I've learned that in order that all may know

Christ and Christ alone, we have to play our part to obey obey that

all may know. I know that sometimes to start off with disobey, I've

been there. Okay, friends, I tell you I watched my dirty Lenien

in public as a young girl, I disobeyed. As an older girl,

I also this obeyed, but thank God he still believed in me that I

don't have to keep living a life of this obedience. I can turn around

and obey God because the Holy Spirit enables me to. He gives me the

courage and faith. So I don't know, friends, how many of you

are speaking to what it says something that or someone that God has been calling

you to. Maybe you started out like cannot love God. I won't do

it like God. But I pray today as you hear this word, something

will shift in your spirit. I want to pass on. I want to

impart on the spirit of obedience to all of us here today, which is

a spirit that I receive from our Lord Jesus. True. The Holy sp

our Lord Jesus is the ultimate measure of obedience. He was obedient to the

point of death on the cross. And as we grow in Jesus, we

also grow in obedience. So it's a growing journey. Don't worry. But

today I want to release I want to impart the spirit of obedience upon each

of us that we will choose to obey God more from this point on,

whatever whoever that He's calling us to amen. And I just want as we

draw to a close, I want to just share with us some scriptures you

know that really affirm this. So actually I have four points that are all

in a letter. Oh you can take them down very quickly. The first

all is origin, origin, and I want to tell you that every salvation

here on earth does not originate with humans. It's not changing herself that wants

to get saved. It's not me who thought of salvation. It's God who

thinks of changing salvation. So I want to say that every salvation begins and

ends with God. It origins with God. How do we know that.

We look at Genesis chapter twelve, verse one to three. All right,

now, the Lord had said to Abraham, get out of your country,

from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will

show you. I will make you a great nation. I will bless you

and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing. I will

bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you,

and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. I want

to take you back to the first slide of this scripture, which is Genesis

chapter twelve, verse one. I want to show you that it is not

Abraham that had the bright idea of getting out of his comfort zone, but

it was God's idea. Because now the Lord had said to Abraham. This

shows that it is God's idea for Abraham to get out to witness for him.

And so it is God's idea for salvation. It origins with God.

So you don't have to feel so pressured, like, why God, why

am I not having a heart to reach more people for you? We can

grow in that, but it doesn't start with us. It starts with God.

The responsibility is with God, and he will burfit in you at the

right time. Amen. Now, the next oh is obstacles. There will

be many obstacles in obeying God's call for you to reach out to someone.

For me, the obstacle was in my mind and my heart. The obstacle

of feeling pisce or feeling a shame or guilty was that obstacle for me.

I don't know what are your obstacle's friends, but I'm sure you have your

own obstacles as well. Abraham his obstacle, can we just flash the slight

Genesis twelve, chapter ten to thirteen. I won't read it, but I'm

just gonna paraphrase. Abraham's obstacle was fear. So after he got out of

his homeland, his comfort zone, they went to Egypt and stayed there for

a while. They were in transit in Egypt, and because his wife,

Sarah was very beautiful, he was worried that people would kill him because of

her beauty. And because of that right. He actually chose to lie to

protect himself, and that could have disqualified him from his destiny. That was

his obstacle, the fear of his own life being in danger. So what

are your fears? Friends? What are your fears? In reaching out?

It's real. The next point is obey And in Hebrews chapter eleven, verse

eight, it says by faith, Abraham obeyed when he was called to go

out to the place which he would receive and as an inheritance. And he

went out not knowing where he was going. Even though Abraham had his legit

fears, he still obeyed in the end, just like Jill had her legit

fears. I thank God by his mercy and grace, I obeyed in the

end. Will that be your story? Friends, Megan, you may have

your fears, although Megan may have started out with her fears, but in

the end may obeyed too. Fun may have started out with fears, but

in the end she obeyed. Zebedee may have started out with his fears legit,

legit, but in the end he obeyed. Would this be your story?

Friends? It's not how you start out, but it's how you end.

You may start out with your fears, you may start out with this

obedience, but how will your story end? Would it end that, despite

the fears, the initial disobedience, in the end, by God's grace,

he and she obeyed and the final door? What the final point? Sorry?

Why is it so important to obey? Because it opens doors? Obedience

is a key of the kingdom. You know how Passa kind of loves to

preach the keys of the king kingdom. I know he's very big on it.

There are specific keys for specific doors and locks, and obedience is a

key key to unlock the Kingdom of God, not just in our lives,

but over the earth. It opens heavens over us. You know, Pastor

Daniel obeyed God to stay on the next church and to take up the mental

of leadership for our teens. I'm sure at that point in time it was

a real struggle. It was a big sacrifice. But you know, if

he didn't say yes to God one and a half years ago to obey,

I believe the doors to the hearts of the eighteen young people who responded to

Jesus may not have been opened at Camp Camp may not even have happened.

See, when we obey, we open doors, open doors for ourselves.

We open doors for the people around us. We open heaven over the earth.

And that's how we bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth. You want

to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth, you don't have to strive so

hard, just obey. That is a key. Without a key, you

strive so hard to open the door, you call the lock smith, you

bang until you're hurt. But with the key, are you effortless, so

easy to open the door. So obedience is us the kingdom of Heaven over

us. So friends, let's open. I We're just gonna give the scripture

Matthew, Chapter one, verse seventeen. And we see because Abraham obeyed the

Lord's call over his life, despite his fears, despite maybe his initial disobedience,

but ultimately he obeyed by the grace of God. And because he obeyed,

Jesus could come to earth. Through his lineage, he was preparing the

way for Jesus to come to Earth. I don't know what would have happened

if he didn't obey. Well, I believe God will still find a way,

because God always makes away. But then we won't see the name of

Abraham here in this scripture. It could be someone else. So when we

obey, we don't just open doors for others. We open doors for our

name to be written in the book of life as well. And so friends,

this I live with you today. Obey that all may know every salvation

originates with God. There will be obstacles, I tell you now for sure,

but just obey. Even in the midst of the obstacles, you can

still obey. It's not too late. It's not how your story started by

is how your story ends. And when you obey, get ready to see

doors open for you, for the people around you and over the earth.
