You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. Change is inevitable, But what else do we
-
need to change our lives? Okay? What else do you have to change
-
your life? Today? I hope to give you a word right or sharing
-
that will cause you to change your perspective of what God's will is really for
-
us? Right, because a lot of us today, especially the younger ones,
-
maybe the older ones. You're more seasoned the walk that has been oil.
-
But I don't know what is my calling in life? What am I
-
supposed to do with the breath that God has given to me? Every day
-
I wake up feeling like I don't have a purpose. Yes, I've earned
-
the millions and millions and millions of dollars, but what do I do with
-
the millions and millions of dollars? Yes, I've given birth to twelve children,
-
but what do I do with this children? Do I form a football
-
team? What is God's plan for my life? Oh? I can't feel
-
God's presence in this church. I need to find God's will for me in
-
another church. I can't feel God's presence for me in this company. I
-
need to move away from this company to find God's presence and God's plan and
-
God's future for me. Because the Bible says that God has a plan for
-
each and everyone of us, right, not to destroy us, but to
-
give us a hope in the future. Right. So sometimes we call scripture
-
we think that, ah, God must have a will. Today, I
-
want to share with you what really is God's will for you? At least
-
from my perspective and my interpretation, all right, because I feel that this
-
question is asked a lot today, a lot. But Daniel, can you
-
pray for me? Why? Oh, can you pray that I discover my
-
calling. I need to know my calling in life. I'm seeking for my
-
calling. Okay, all right? So if you're your Bible you should Why
-
don't you turn to this scripture Romans chapter twelve, verses one to two,
-
and we're going to read it together. Amen, here we go. I
-
beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you
-
present your body's a living sacrifice wholly acceptable to God, which is your reasonable
-
service. I also read verse to and do not be conformed to this world,
-
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove
-
what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. In two weeks
-
time we will touch the verse the second verse together. But today our focus,
-
I want to point you to the first verse of chapter twelve in Romans.
-
First point on how we can actually discover our will in our lives.
-
God's will for your life is the word position. Okay, position we have
-
to all or what have we done? You're done with the aeroplane? Can
-
truth to me? Yeah? Fly trailer? Wow? No better? No
-
better? See it's now no longer a paper, it's not aeroplane. See
-
even that has to undergo change. Right, So they's changed. But when?
-
But how how do we make an aeroplane a paper into an aeroplane?
-
Okay, we'll cover that later, right. So position position is my first
-
point on how we can actually discover what God's will in your life is.
-
Paul wrote to the Romans, and this were the Romans that were the church.
-
That was really just to him. It's like he's you know, how
-
many of your read Romans before? Right? The Book of Romans? And
-
if you can see the pattern of the Book of Romans when in chapter one
-
it goes like, oh, greet things everyone, I'm the born server of
-
Christ. And I'm so happy to bring you the Gospel. I'm so happy.
-
And then you can see, slowly, true Romans, his mood started
-
to change because he saw the filth. And I felt that actually, when
-
Paul was seeing these people, my imagination when I was reading this book is
-
that Paul was seeing his old self. You know, Paul, before he
-
became Paul, he was Saul right the okay, but when he was saw
-
he was a persecutor of Christians. He was someone that hated Christians. He
-
was out to just get the blood and the life of Christians. Whereas Paul
-
was writing, and then this was a transformation that occurred. There was a
-
change that occurred in Paul's life. What happened to Paul so much that when
-
he is writing and he has experienced when his eyes were open and he can
-
now see he was so enthusiastic with the Gospel. So in Romans twelve,
-
verse one, I'm going to to bring you through a word study today,
-
it said, Okay, I don't know how many of us like word study.
-
I know it may not be everybody's cup of tea to go through word
-
by word in the Bible. Let me just show you something that will give
-
you a little bit of perspective on what word study can look like. Just
-
to give you a little bit of thought taste on how Bible study can be
-
interesting. One verse, This is one one verse worth of notes that I
-
had a great I had a privilege to download from God. You know,
-
as I was reading, I was just so touched and so moved by what
-
God was doing in the life of Paul. And over here Paul started by
-
saying, I besiech you. Therefore, he started by saying that now the
-
word besiege, it's almost like a plea. It's almost like Billy, I
-
bet you please scat a drum set so that you can, you know,
-
serve more. You can practice more here it can always come all the way
-
to the legacy to serve that to practice you can Prectice said, home,
-
get a dum set, please, I bet you give you the grace and
-
the finances. Do something, man, Okay. So it's almost like a
-
beg. It's like chow, I begg you stop playing game. Right,
-
Like my wife always said, tell me, Daniel, I bet you please
-
go and wash the place in the scene, right, please pick up the
-
hair on the floor. It's almost like a bag, it's almost like a
-
plea. It's almost like a cry of desperation. How many have you been
-
in that position before, the cry of desperation from your hearts, out of
-
your hearts, there's a cry like, oh my goodness, if I tell
-
you what if you don't wake up today, there's no a sialam that's gonna
-
get sell adreable like saying, hey, what youre not coming to there?
-
Are you? Everybody fever? I bet you please? You come to work.
-
I pay you double. You know, when when there's a desperation,
-
when there is a cry, when there is a there's an urgency to something,
-
you would definitely act in a different way. Right imagine right now,
-
everybody's calm, everybody's like that. But suddenly you get a call and there's
-
a family ehen you see, you won't even borrow a Pasadaniel says, you
-
walk out shre the door already go it not because there's an urgency. There's
-
an urgency to especially when it covers your love once. Right, if it's
-
someone across the street and that fellow gets banged, let's say you mention it.
-
You open the window right now, someone of the growth get banged by
-
a truck. Will all of us get out our seats and go and help
-
the follow that got banged by a truck. Let's be honest, we won't.
-
Maybe let me change the question. Let's say's your father, so where's
-
the wood? Okay, let's say someone that you love? Can you imagine
-
this? So when Paul was saying, I beseech you and I beg you,
-
can you see the love that Paul had for his people. Can you
-
see the love that Paul had for the children of God, even though they
-
didn't know who Jesus is, even though they are well rebellious against God.
-
Paul used a word such as pc which there was a bad There was a
-
cry of desperation to Paul ISAs every one of them with family, because they
-
were all brothers and sisters in Christ. In Paul, that was the desperation
-
and hence why he was able to write this. I won't be able to
-
say the same if someone that doesn't matter to you, Right, So you
-
can see there's a reason there's a connection between Paul and these people. Why
-
does Paul need to make such a big deal on top of all these people
-
that actually matter to him. Why this, Because I feel that this was
-
the only way that Paul could view Christianity. Right now, I want to
-
ask you a question, what could be the opposite? What could be the
-
opposite of this? Why Why didn't just Paul say I beseech you, therefore
-
regend. I don't have to tell you this. You know that as long
-
as you become a Christian, as long as you accept Christ, you need
-
to offer your bodies as a living secon. If that is an expectation,
-
then Paul does not need to besieged anymore. Paul does not need to come
-
up to your face and say, hey, please, I beg you,
-
because if you don't do this, you're gonna die. You're gonna die,
-
and you're not gonna get that eternal life that I know comes with accepting Jesus
-
Christ. So it was a big deal. When I read this verse.
-
I didn't read it as I besid you therefore brethren, the mer says,
-
oh God, you present about this. I did not read it away.
-
I read it that as I besiege you, Gabriel, I beg you please
-
offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, because I know if you don't do
-
that, what's gonna happen to you after So it was a big deal,
-
all right. It was a big deal now, And I believe that at
-
that time another reason why he had to go to that extent was because it
-
was not happening. Can you imagine me, does your mother you'll tell you
-
to wash the place? If you already wash the place? No, right,
-
maybe your mother would go like, hey, so I washed it.
-
Okay, it's like the halfway, can think. But Paul finished it.
-
He finished writing, something must not have been happening. Can you see that
-
something must not have been happening. People will being disobedient to God, people
-
were not offering their bodies as a living sacrifice, people were worshiping idols.
-
There's something that's not happening, and hence the urgency. Amen. I hope
-
you're getting something. I just I just pray that you know, as you're
-
hearing this, just hear it if it open heart, because when I was
-
sharing it, I tell you, I told my wife this, I said,
-
I feel very afraid to share this today. I feel very afraid because
-
of the backlash or whatever that may come my way. But at the end
-
of the day is the truth, and the truth said you're free. Amen,
-
So let's move on. Therefore by the mercies of God verses I beseech
-
you therefore regen by the mercies of God. What is the mercies of God?
-
You know, whenever we read scripture, we have to read it in
-
context. We have to see what's before and what's after. We have to
-
see what's around right and what happened right before. That is Romans eleven,
-
verse thirty six. He turned to that if you can't, the worse is
-
on the screen. For of Him, and true him and to him are
-
all things to whom we glory forever. Amen. Friends, We're not just
-
saved by Jesus. We are also saying for Jesus. We're not just saved
-
by Jesus that you can live your life. We're saved by Jesus for Jesus.
-
Sometimes we feel that we do not have the connection with God because we
-
accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior, but we do not worship him
-
as our Lord and savior. We accept him as a Lord and savior.
-
We expect the miracles the blessings that come with accepting Jesus Christ and the Lord
-
and Savior. But all we do is except but we do not exercise our
-
faith to match our belief. Can you see that, friends, we're saved
-
by Jesus, and not only that we're saved for Jesus. And therefore Paul
-
was besieging the believers by what the mercies of God. In order to know
-
the will of God for your life, you have to understand the position that
-
you are in. If you do not understand that you are a child of
-
God, if you do not understand that it's not by your own works that
-
you are saved, If you don't understand that salvation at least the justification process
-
is free and attainable to all who believes in the name of Jesus Christ,
-
then how are you going to discover your will? How are you going to
-
discover your calling as a child? If Gabriel, you do not know that
-
you are in that family, in Garnish and Emily's family, how are you
-
going to know that you are going to inherit things that are from Ghanish and
-
Emily one day? You need to first know your position in that family,
-
and then you are now secure that yes, I am Guannish, your son
-
Ghandish at his own, my dad at his own out of the goodness of
-
his heart. Maybe he would leave me something, Maybe there's something for me
-
to inherit. But if there's buster Daniel, how can I expect Ghanish to
-
wait and Ganish that he's gonna give me something, some of his guard he's
-
gonna give to me, or the bowder in the family order. Everything I'm
-
gonna get. No, my position is Daniel Toung. Your position is Gabriel,
-
and therefore you can get the inheritance. How are you gonna discover God's
-
will if you do not know your position in Christ? It's by the mercies
-
of God that Paul is beseeching the Brethren, the people, and he's trying
-
to tell them. Guys, even before I tell you what you need to
-
do, you need to realize your position. Some of us are so caught
-
up with God. Tell me what to do? Now, tell me where
-
to go? Now tell me what job should I take? Hello? Have
-
you even recognize your position as a child of God? You have to change
-
that mentality. You are first and foremost a child of God, and that
-
is with that position everything else will fall into place. Amen. I don't
-
have to I don't have to employ Albert and Rachel to take care of Shaye.
-
I don't have to do that. I don't have to do that.
-
They do that automatically because it's their child, their position as a parent.
-
They will know what to do. Amen. Amen. Scripture to say in
-
James Chapter two, verse eighteen, show me your faith without your works,
-
and I'll show you my faith by my works. Hold on a minute,
-
and the Paul was saying that works can't save you. How come faith by
-
my works? Now? I want to show you that scripture does not contribute
-
contradict scripture. If you look at the screen right now, there are three
-
verses. James is essentially saying that if you have the faith, you have
-
to have the works to back up that faith. You can't just accept and
-
do nothing with that acceptance. And Paul did not contridicte that in any way.
-
Read in efficients to stand for we are He's workmanship created in Christ Jesus.
-
For what for? What for sleeping? For cursing other people, for
-
telling other people? Is this your grandfather's rod? I just did it yesterday.
-
Wish God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Titus threat eight.
-
This is a faithful saying, and these things I want to affirm you
-
constantly that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain what good
-
works. So, as a believer, do you think you don't have to
-
work? Now? We can't assume that just by getting saved, a godly
-
Christian life will be lived up. We can't assume that. Right. As
-
long as you get safe, I will live forever godly until the digits come
-
back. Salvation is free, and salvation the moment you attain it, you
-
will never lose it. That's my personal belief. But you have to understand
-
what does the Bible say about salvation, because if you do not understand what
-
the Bible's position is about salvation, you will not know exactly what it means.
-
And if you live according to your own position, you are never going
-
to be able to understand or fully comprehend what it is. Amen. Oh
-
but Master Daniel, perhaps that whole living a godly Christian life. It's not
-
for me. It's not for me. See, salvation is free, right,
-
It's free, isn't it? Being safe? Is enough? I get
-
this question a lot. I really say the sinest prayer, and by the
-
way, the senest prayer is is a prayer the Bible teaches us to pray.
-
Okay, the sinest prayer is not the one and only ticket to salvation,
-
right, It's just a guide for us. It's a prayer to Jesus.
-
Is the accepting Jesus that leads us to salvation? Amen, So sacrifices
-
are men for leaders of the church only I was, I was across this
-
young person, and the young person just say to me, I think sacrifices
-
are men for paster Kendeth and passenders. Daniel, you sacrifice for me.
-
I'm not ready for that yet. Oh, but I'm ready to accept Jesus
-
by not really to sacrifice my life. I have more important takes in my
-
life right now. I admit I give to him because he was at least
-
he was honest. He knows that these games are more important than God.
-
Because it was only recently that when I opened this book and I realized how
-
much I can't even explain it, how much permits from it. And I
-
pray that as a believer, every one of you, I prayed that one
-
day or if you're there, I will encourage you to continue to run that
-
race. That whenever you open this book you feel a sense of peace,
-
you feel a sense of Wow, you saw your wife for the first time
-
when you got married to her, when it got the veil that wild times
-
a hundred, you saw that thing that you love so much. You even
-
just got your s mem results. You saw you go so happy, exhilarated,
-
oh so happy. This should be the feeling that we get out this,
-
my bol You need sets news that Jason as well. Hallelujah, Praise
-
the Lord. Right, the surgery was good, right right, The blasting
-
was good, right, blusting, blusting, Yeah, and and and and
-
and you are looking forward to your son as well. I'm pretty sure right
-
tomorrow there's something right, uh and and you also want to you maybe there's
-
a little bit part of you. Yeah. You you mentioned as peace,
-
but I think that's also DELI like, oh God, I need a surrender.
-
But the moment you receive that break to you go like wow. Right.
-
Let me share something with you about salvation to be honest personally, and
-
I know this is true because it's in scripture. It's a package. It's
-
a package. Friends. I'm gonna show you some words that are in French.
-
But salvation is a three part process that involves the first French word which
-
is justification. All right, Justification, scientification and glorification. All right,
-
these are three French words that you need to know. Uh. And the
-
first French word justification is regarding our past penalty of sin. So Jesus has
-
came God is sin, is one and only begden son to die for our
-
sins, and that is free. I agree. There's nothing that we can
-
do to ever change your alter or deserve that Jesus done for us. We
-
cannot. That is pure mercy, pure grace because we are filthy beings.
-
The last time I checked with your failty beings. Right, there's none,
-
not a single ounce of our bodies or our works that we can do to
-
deserve that grace and mercy. That part is free, okay. But however,
-
the second part, which is the scentification process, is a process of
-
the present power of sin in your life. Now, that is something that
-
you have control over. Now, I like a very I read this statement
-
somewhere that if all we are after is decisions or directions, meaning God,
-
you direct my path, God you move my hand, then let me tell
-
you something. The Book of Proverbs doesn't have to be written because you don't
-
need wisdom to make choices. Why does the Book of Proverbs exist in the
-
first place, Because God wants to give you a book that is full of
-
wisdom that you can equip yourself in order to make wise choices. So you
-
have to make a choice every step of the way in this process of centification,
-
is you making an active decision to follow Jesus. Birth is an event.
-
Growing up is a process. You can't just leave a baby as it
-
is. That baby has to grow up or else what will happen to the
-
baby? You die, right you die, You need to care for the
-
babe. You need to feed that baby. But birth is just an event.
-
Justification is just an event in your life. It's a significant event.
-
It can happen in the blink of an eye. But certification is the process
-
of you growing up. Now, it's this, this end there, and
-
this can be a whole message by yourself. You don't have time to cover
-
that. But the third part of Salvagian is the glorification process, in which
-
you are glorified by God. And when does that happen. It's only when
-
you come face to face with God. It's only when you can't face to
-
face with Jesus at his throne, you can be fully glorified. Now I
-
can't wait for that day because this body is nowhere near Albert. You think
-
your body very nice? Wait, do you see me in my glorified state.
-
Tell you what, everybody will have the best body that is able to
-
worship God with all that you have. All this sin, all this weight
-
that is watering us will be gone. But until we reached that moment,
-
you got to work yourself out. Your body is the temple of the Holy
-
Spirit. I got a new epiphany yesterday that I thought her, I think
-
I need to get better. Lah. So I told my wife and I
-
told my homies. I think I accidentally say this is check me in a
-
year, I will expect. Okay, I don't know. I don't know
-
why. I don't know why I say that. I think I did.
-
I need to think it back, but I think already come out like the
-
abundance of the heart. The mouth would speak like the heart was fulfilled with
-
a shame. That's so much so that I needed to do. Okay,
-
So, uh so, what is salvation? What's the three part process of
-
salvation, justification, centification and glorification. All right, three French words for
-
you to remember today. Ephicients two, verse eight to nine says, for
-
by grace you have been saved throue faith, and not of yourselves. It
-
is the gift of God, not of works. Less anyone should boast this
-
or this is the part that they felt. He no no works, then
-
the world Hello. Read verse ten. Read verse ten in your bible.
-
Some people like to read the Bible and stop at a bib where they like.
-
Oh, not of works, Oh to Haley Loujah, praise the Lord.
-
Read verse then read worse. Then read the Bible in its totality.
-
Second Timothy three, verse twelve. Yes, all who desire to live godly
-
in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. This was a verse that was given to
-
me by a lift. If you remember that story, it was a lift
-
that gave me this verse. Okay, a lift an inanimate object that's going
-
up and down. The get free is verse James Faur. Verse eight was
-
also a verse that was given to me by leave. God can speak to
-
you in any way and any ship, and I from All you have to
-
do is open your eyes. Are you opening your eyes? Do you recognize
-
your position as truing of God? Do you recognize your father's voice. When
-
Ghanish calls out to I don't know. I don't know. In sorry,
-
in the in the Chinese culture, when my mother gets very angry with me
-
and my full name of God, I don't know the same same thing.
-
Yeah, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure when he acts your full
-
name or in whatever chance, you will know that it is your father.
-
You will know. Even one came away. I think you got that.
-
You got that vibration, the pattern vibration. You know, you know.
-
But that's because you recognize the position first. I can't emphasize it enough that
-
you got to know your position. You got to know your position. And
-
this is just the first part of Romans twelve, verse one. There's joy
-
to reading God's work because there's so much to discover, there's so much to
-
acknowledge. There's so much to look good and say, Oh, I fall
-
so far, so short of the glory of Christ. I fall so far.
-
Thank God. I just want to know you a little bit more.
-
Guess what. I'm right here, and you can know me if you just
-
open your minds, open your hearts. So yes, friends, it is
-
true. It's true that we do not contribute our justification. No amount of
-
work can gain us our salvation that is compliment ardly free. But I want
-
to remind you that you contribute to your scientification. You do not know what
-
will happen tomorrow. For all you know, Jesus might thing me up at
-
any time. You know that there was a pastor recently that passed away right
-
after he was preaching. I can, I can, I can. I
-
can kind of relate because every time after I appreciate it, I'm all a
-
breath and when the heart of temet would come. But you know what,
-
you never know, You never know, So you got to live each second
-
like it's your last. You got to, you got to, you got
-
to get ready. And I can't And tell you what, guys, death
-
does not scare me anymore. I can't wait to see Jesus Christ. I
-
can't wait. But I know that on earth. I'm placed on this earth
-
and the reason why I still have breakfast because there's work for me to do.
-
And that's that. You can only recognize that if you know your position.
-
Think about how many people in scripture started well, we ended a bit
-
not so well? All right? Think of how many people? Why why
-
did God had to put these up people that were people that God said was
-
after my own heart. Now David was restored, all right, But there
-
was a point, like I asked the youth today, what do you remember
-
David for? Hello? The number one response on MENI meter, by the
-
way, is that that that that that dingy on the screen not this screen?
-
Uh the poll? And the first day is was sheba, are you?
-
Oh? Every single thing I'd done and you remember me for both sheep,
-
just because I opened my eyes one day I saw this beautiful whoa sexy
-
lady on the on the rooftop. Oh, then IM going to send his
-
husband to wall. Come on, guys, not David's husband. But you
-
get the point. You get the idea why why the Bible is filled with
-
so many examples of people who have started well, right, full of grace,
-
full of mercy, full of conviction, full of calling, full of
-
purpose, justified right, but didn't end well. It was it was the
-
curious case. You know, you're not the curious case of Benjamin Button right
-
now. You know the curious case of Solomon. How can someone like Solomon,
-
a king, wise, strong, handsome, I believe, how does
-
he end up? Everything is vanity God, at least God lacky, at
-
least the energy is a God. Okay, but how how everything is meaningless?
-
I try everything and everything is mean? How can someone full of grace,
-
full of passion and up like that? So if friends, let's not
-
keep ourself low. Okay, let us let's let's not keep ourselves saying that
-
we will not be that person. Yeah, we are justified, forever justified.
-
Let's know kid ourself. We got to go through this process of scientification
-
to ensure that we reach point A to point B. Because if you do
-
not know, and on day nobody knows, only God knows. God knows,
-
God knows where you're gonna end up. But you are not God.
-
So stop trying to be God or today awake. I don't feel like you're
-
in a Bible. I don't feel like growing close to God. Do you
-
know that what that does? You're transforming your inner man. But in the
-
opposite direction, you're feeding your inner man with sin. And you know Jesus,
-
Si, you know what Jesus said about sin. The more you do
-
sin, the more you'll be slaved to sin. Sin will bound you buy
-
your hands with a handcuff, and he's dragging you around, and you are
-
a slave to sin. Wherever sin go, you follow. Wow. Can
-
you see that? That's what happens when we do not immerse ourself with the
-
word of God. Because the enemy is just out there to steal, kill,
-
and destroy your future and your hope. He does not need to make
-
you not follow Jesus. He just needs to make you follow something else.
-
He just need to make enough noise that you go like, ah, oh,
-
what's going on in this world? Distract you from your calling and your
-
purpose. But if you know your position again, friends, I can't emphasize
-
this. And if you know your position, you look straight at the devil
-
and you will say stop, get behind me. See, get behind me.
-
You are not my father. You have no right over me. You
-
have no right over me. You know your position. Amen. I'm gonna
-
give you your next point when it comes from this. The first goals that
-
be seeing you there for brethren, by the mercies of God that you present
-
your bodies. The next point I'm going to give you today, it's the
-
word personal, personal, personal decision. Paul did not write the verse I
-
besiech in an aird object called the freage. No, he said, I
-
besieged you. I besiech you, each and every one of you. When
-
I read this Bible and I read this, I go like, whoa,
-
you're talking to wah, you're talking to me. You're talking to this person
-
right in front of you. That's me. That's you, you know,
-
the spider man me and everyone point that's you. That's you, everybody,
-
that's us. It's a personal decision to present your bodies. So it's not
-
passa Daniel present his body then enough? Ready, Hello, this is not
-
Old Testament where I am the sheep like to slot. By the way,
-
I can't be that ship because I'm not I'm not I'm not pure. Okay,
-
Only Jesus is pure, and that's why Jesus took our place in the
-
Old Testament. Even the Jewish, the Pagans, the gentles, whatever God
-
that they're worshiping, the term sacrifice is something that they are accustomed to.
-
They know it. They know that they got to sacrifice something because they have
-
seen there's something inside then that needs to be pure, purified. And today
-
we are giving given the privilege to be that sacrifice. Can you see that
-
we are given the privilege to be isaacs and out of the obedience of Abraham,
-
a nation was born, and we get the privilege to be there because
-
of Jesus Christ. But it's there's a very clear difference for us. I
-
want to denote a very clear friends, between relying on God's strength. You
-
see, the enemy again can use your knowledge of scripture to trick you as
-
well if you are not sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit, because
-
a lot of things may sound godly, but it's not godly. Okay,
-
There's a clear difference between relying on God for strength to help us make the
-
choice, then expecting God. Expect God to move in your life today.
-
How many time you heard that today? How many times have you heard of
-
that? You open YouTube? Expect God to move in your life today.
-
Yes, expect God to make us present of what this? Have you heard
-
that before? Expect God to move my hand. I need to take water
-
from the fish. God, please move my hand now, God, God,
-
I'm do state Hello, No, it doesn't work that we How it
-
works is relying on God. God, I can't do this by my own
-
strength. Give me the strength, and God gives you the strength. But
-
you got to still move that hand. God has given you everything that you
-
need in order to achieve your purpose. It's right in front of you.
-
At times, it's in a bookshelf, at times it's in the device.
-
How many of us here opened this phone to read a Bible only because we
-
are prompted by verse of the day. How many of us here have a
-
habit, a lifestyle to open this book in order to extract our wisdom in
-
order to make an active decision to choose God? How many first have done
-
that? And I can tell you friends, I'm talking to myself as well.
-
It takes an active decision to choose God, to choose to present your
-
bodies. You still got to make that choice. Abraham still got to choose
-
to offer up. He said he wasn't forced, right, he was told
-
he made that choice to lift up that knife for that That's what whatever the
-
thing that was in his hand, whatever that thing made Because every everybody here
-
has their own thing that you have to use right to slay that that sacrifice
-
in your life, to cut that sacrifice down. But you still got to
-
make that choice. It's a personal choice, a man, it's a personal
-
choice to offer up your bodies as a living sacrifice. Now there's the reason
-
why. Uh, the word bodies is used. Okay, so living sacrifice
-
the next part. But we are still under the point of personal. I
-
mentioned earlier that even the Jewish, the Pagans, and the Gentiles they knew,
-
right, they knew the concert of sacrifice. Now let me just you
-
hear the concert of sacrifice. If I sacrifice this bottle, does it mean
-
that tomorrow I can come and take this bottle back? What's the concert of
-
sacrifice? Once I give it up, it is no longer mine. Correct.
-
I sacrifice this bottle to Erin, sly, I thirsty, Erin?
-
Can I have my bottle back? It is Erin's prerogative whether she wants to
-
give the bottle back or not. Right, the same way, when we're
-
saying, Lord, I offer my heart everything I've been true, Lord,
-
I offer my life to you. Lord, I offer my mind to you.
-
It's not God's. You have no say over it anymore. Oh,
-
by God, I offer you for seven or seven July, only eight of
-
July. I take it back. No, it doesn't work that way.
-
Sacrifice is Jesus came to fulfill the law. Jesus think came to change the
-
law. He came to fulfill the law. The concept of sacrifice is still
-
the same, do you know it? The Bible is consistent. God is
-
a consistent God, so consistent now that he can't change the concept of sacrifice.
-
He had to say his one and only with God the Son, because
-
he is a never changing God. He is God today, yesterday, and
-
forever more. He can't change. So sacrifice it is now gone and they
-
do not own it anymore. Now edding the word living with you know that
-
now it is now a living sacrifice that we offering to God. Not because
-
that we are without blemish, not because of that, but because Jesus,
-
what's the ultimate sacrifice that had to die for us? Also understand that it's
-
a personal decision to offer and to present your bodies. Your bodies are something
-
that is part of you. There's the reason why bodies is user not offer.
-
Your gadgets are not offer something that doesn't matter. Your body is matter,
-
and hence why you got to offer something that matters as a living sacrifice,
-
and it's your flesh. Your flesh has to be sacrificed. The flesh
-
has to be put away, it has to die. Amen. First.
-
Korendians six, verse nineteen to twenty says this or do you not know that
-
your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you,
-
whom you have from God. And you are not your own, for you
-
were born at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in
-
your spirit, which are God's. It's a personal decision to offer up your
-
bodies as a living sacrifice because your body belongs to God. Jesus has paid
-
that price for you. Now today, what again, what are we talking
-
about today? We're talking about how to identify or how to actually understand God's
-
calling for my life. I'm giving you pointless. I'm not giving you the
-
direct answer to get that by giving you prerequisites that you have to get in
-
place, concepts that you have to get in place in order to understand the
-
call of God on your life. Amen, Being a Christian should be a
-
devotion of your life's bodies towards God, looking towards God, rather than forming
-
your opinions based on others around you. Christianity is not Let me give you
-
an example. I'm in Exsten's ministry and I form my concept of ministry around
-
the young people. This sound holy? Does that sound good? Does that
-
sound right? No? I should form my ministry around God, not the
-
young people. That means if the young people says they should sing so and
-
so songs, only Jesus will come into the room. I have to first
-
check with God. God, does this please you? If it does not
-
please you, I would rather ex teens, only have three teens that worship
-
God in spirit and truth than three hundred teens that only come because of the
-
hYP I do not need teenagers that are like that. I do not need
-
that because I know that God is after the heart, and I know that
-
if I can even reach one person that has the heart for God, that
-
one said, can go and change the world. Look at Paul's life,
-
there was one person. So, friends, whatever concept you have about numbers,
-
whatever concept you have about ministry, train out the window, because if
-
it's not of God, it is of the devil. You cannot worship God,
-
Ammon. You choose one's either all or the other. In the second
-
part, I will talk about transformation and confirmation, not confirmation or conformation.
-
My pronunciation is bad. Okay, So what is my colleague life? What
-
is God's purpose for me? What feels should I go into? What ministry
-
should I be? What me give you answer? Friends? Are you ready?
-
Are you ready for the answer? Philippines three, verse fourteen. I
-
press towards the goal the price of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus
-
period. That is God's call over each and every one of you, the
-
upward call, not the downward caller, the upward call in who in Christ
-
Jesus, meaning whatever that Christ Jesus was set down here on earth to do.
-
The calling that was on Jesus, Christ himself was now passed on to
-
his disciples, was now passed on to us. Our call is the upward
-
call of God in Christ Jesus. Second Corinthians five fourteen to fifteen. For
-
the love of Christ compels us, because we judged us that if one died
-
for all, then all died, and He died for all, that those
-
who live should live no longer for themselves, but for him who died for
-
them and rose again. Personally, I believe that this should be the ultimate
-
calling of every believer. The press towards that ward call is as simple as
-
that. You know. Later, i'll share your destimony of how I actually
-
walked into my full time journey. Already step into my full time journey.
-
But it's not it's not God. Please, God, show me the door.
-
God show me the letter. A ya, show me the letter full
-
time. Now on your end the full time. No, God doesn't work
-
that way. God gave me a verse. As I was at the peak
-
of my performance at work. I was view for promotion, a big bonus.
-
Used to say, and buy a car. I on the correct that
-
cannot buy a car, depending what color my viving. We can. But
-
it was something. It was I was so strong in my marketplace. I
-
felt like, why now my wife thing about me? You know? When
-
I brought up to my wife my wife, I don't know how she reacted
-
like I forgot how she rerected it, but I just felt like, it's
-
like, you get to do the noble thing, you know. I don't
-
know whether she felt that way right, I don't know, but it wasn't
-
that way for me. I didn't want it. I was already walking.
-
Remember this, I was already walking in my calling as a youth foster.
-
In case you're forgotten, I was already doing it a but I also had
-
my job. So I now, I'm not saying that you cannot work and
-
sir God, okay, but this is personal again what's the point person now?
-
So I was already in that call. I was feeling like I can
-
continue this someone, God, if I continue this job, I can get
-
this money and the money I can. I tell you what. The only
-
drive was money, la. Let me just tell you that. Let me
-
just be very straight and honest. The only drive was money. I loved
-
that job. But for already in my heart I felt there was an emptiness.
-
Every day, say from computer, then drawing these sign here signed there,
-
Hello Hello, every time, same thing over and over again. Construction
-
industry every time it's the same thing. Or protest designing of ECN is the
-
same. Okay, there's all the friends. So in my heart, yeah,
-
personal geneer's out here. Don't cuss me. Continue. That is your
-
calling. Continue its personal? Okay. God had to address it. God
-
gave me a verse. He got and I tell you what got loves to
-
do this with me. God loves the number twenty three and twelve. I
-
can tell you what. He loves it so much he gave me a verse
-
Matthew twenty three, Verse twelve. Those who are humble shall be exalted.
-
And if you're full of arrogance, for of pride, full of ego,
-
you will be humbled. So I saw that verse and I knew it was
-
personal because it was my birthday. Again. I okay, God, Okay.
-
So the God gave me a thurter moment to join Asian Youth Ambassadors.
-
No, God gave me a tough moment to address the mind, the being
-
that had to be not gila but transformed. We are transformed by the renewing
-
of the mind. I won't cover that too much today, but I had
-
to be transformed, and only then I was able to step into my colleague.
-
Can you see that it is not stepped into the calling first? No,
-
it's obey first. It's obeyed first. That's sorry. There's a verse
-
that says obedience is better than sacrifice. That does not mean that you don't
-
need to sacrifice. You obey first, and we've got obedience. Come the
-
sacrifice, and then you walk into your calling. Oh God, So I
-
besiege you, brethren by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies
-
as a leaving sacrifice. I'm going to just stream through this because I don't
-
have time. Already, I realized that I got another three more pages.
-
Holy they are principle, But I'm going to finish it very fast, and
-
then I'll do this aeropela ending. I mean I not even do that.
-
Okay, So third point, sorry, don't ah that point holy and acceptable.
-
It's essentially thisler pleasing God. Pleasing God. You will only identify your
-
calling in God if you please God? Is that rocket scignce to you?
-
No, it's not. You want to identify your You want to identify your
-
calling. You please God. Question that you should be asking yourself is are
-
you pleasing God? And how do we please God? Abel and Kane offered
-
their offerings to God. One please God, one didn't. Can you see
-
that? Can you remember that? Because one was given out of priority,
-
the other was given out of ego. This is my best stop, but
-
the other one is this is my first stock. Is it pleasing to God?
-
Is it wholly unacceptable to God? Holy means set apart, sanctifying and
-
without blemish. It is to match my condition on earth with my position in
-
Christ. A lot of us are walking on this earth not matching our position
-
Christ. We are walking out of popularity. I'll tell you what. If
-
your friends are surprised that you're a Christian, you're probably doing something wrong.
-
Huh, you're Christian. Now why every day you can see you there?
-
You're Christian. I know more Bible than you are we pleasing God. Romans
-
one seven says this to all who are in Rome beloved of God called to
-
be what called to be saints. Now this is the beautiful thing of the
-
Bible. Don't read in English, Okay, you readly in English verse,
-
then find out the context the word saints. It's the same word in Romans
-
twelfth, verse one, which is wholely same word. We are called to
-
be holy, we're called to please God. How how do I know if
-
I'm pleasing God? How how do I know? Guys? Can I just
-
ask you this? It's sex before marriage? Holy? You all know this.
-
You'll need me to tell you. You don't. If you have been
-
walking enough with God, you know what is wrong and what's right. You
-
do not need Macedenia tell your what's wrong and what's right, because you have
-
the book called the Bible. You know. If you're spending enough time with
-
God. The Holy Spirit is in you, and the Holy Spirit is living
-
in you. And do you think the Holy Spirit will not prompt you?
-
Maybe because we have been ignorant. The voice of the Holy Spirit. We
-
have not been listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit. We have been
-
living in sin, and therefore we become slave. Listen, we're not living
-
in Christ. Because if we are living in Christ, we will know.
-
So, friends, you will know. Here's an asset test. All right,
-
here's an asset test. If you're doing it purely for people or an
-
object or our ego and not firstly from God, you will get better.
-
Try it out. Oh, I serve this church every day. I tell
-
you what. Every time, come here seven o'clock. Every come Thursday,
-
come practice. You're not every single Thursday, every single Sunday. I don't
-
have my off day. I preach those the recess Monday. I don't get
-
the rest. You'll work five days. I work seven days. You'll work
-
at night. You get the rest. I have to go and see teens.
-
If you're doing it for God, you won't get better because you are
-
doing it for God. Period. You're not doing it for the result of
-
the God. You're not doing it for the result that God will give to
-
you. Because you're doing it for God. Period. Is it pleasing to
-
God? You don't have to please God, please the church, and please
-
man. No you only need to please God, serve the church, and
-
rich the loss. That is what you need to do. But you only
-
need to please God. So everything you do out of this place, ask
-
yourself is it pleasing to God? And the final p that I want you
-
to give to you today is the word preserve, Preservire, perserve Lord,
-
people give up halfway? Perserver how many people started well and didn't finish well?
-
Perservire Right? What does it say? It is a reasonable service.
-
Reasonable service in the ESV says spiritual worship. In Greek, the word reasonable
-
means law, geek costs. It's a logical, reasonable and agreeable position that
-
you are in. Persevere because it's logical to do this. It's logical to
-
offer our bo this as a lyric sacrifice in order to achieve to in order
-
to attain the calling that God has for me. It's logical to do this.
-
Do not at the sight of trouble you give up. No, you
-
got to persevere. You got to keep going to the end until you hear
-
what my good end for seven friends? You know this, you know this,
-
but sometimes I got to preach it into your soul. And this is
-
just from one verse that Paul is imploring each and every believer it is a
-
reasonable service. It is a reasonable service not because of your own strength.
-
It was because Chris, It's died for you, so it's reasonable. It's
-
loggy costs another word for loggi. Cout is in first the two too,
-
and I'll end with this. The bank can come up now so that we
-
don't waste time. But first me the doo woo says this, as you
-
want, babes, desire the pure milk of the Word that you may grow.
-
Do you know which part in this verse is the word loggi costs.
-
It's the part pure milk of the word. The entire thing is loggi costs.
-
You need the word of God in your life. The word of God
-
enables you to worship God in spirit and in truth. Without the Word of
-
God, you won't be able to worship Him in spirit and truth. So
-
what's the conclusion from all this? I can't fully conclude this message share because
-
there's a second part of it, obviously, and I'll share that in two
-
weeks time. But what is the conclusion from all of this? If I
-
can summarize the entire message into two words, here we go, Please God,
-
Please God, Everything in your life has to please God. Everything in
-
your life you have to ask God, God and mind pleasing you. Am
-
I doings? Am I walking in spirit and in truth? Stop trying to
-
ask questions such as God, give me my calling? Instead, ask questions,
-
instead, say prayers such as, Lord, I just want to know
-
you a bit better. A lot of us want to know our calling without
-
doing the work, and the work involves getting to know God on a deeper
-
level. You will only identify your calling if you know what God is saying.
-
And everything can be found in this book called the Bible. Amen,
-
friends, I want to employ is as simple as that. If you have
-
not found your calling Christ Jesus, and if you have, start by reading
-
the Bible. Start by spending your quiet time reading the Bible. Just read
-
the book, the Gospels, the Psalms, read how the world was created.
-
And don't come to a place of ego where you say, I read
-
the ready guys, and nothing is happening. Friends, I can tell you
-
something and we break something to you. There's hope, you know why?
-
You know? In Romans chapter one, when the people were so evil and
-
Paul was just so angry, the book actually there was verses there were scriptures
-
that actually wrote that how much God's wrath was upon these people, and God
-
actually gave them to a defamed mind, the deformed mind. It was because
-
they were living in sin and God said, you are in sin. I'm
-
going to cost you because there was God's rough. Here's where it gets interesting.
-
Do you know that the people that were in Romans chapter one were the
-
same people that were in Romans chapter twelfth, the same people. So there's
-
hope, guys, there's hope that because of the death of Jesus Christ and
-
the resurrection, that we can now transform our mind. There's a transformation process.
-
The minder is now defameed, that minder is now deformed, that minded
-
is now just so filled with filth. You can transform it, but you
-
can transform it by the renewing of your mind. And that requires the renewing
-
of God's word in your life. And it's not by mind and not by
-
power, but by this spirit, says the Lord. So, friends,
-
I hope that blesses you today, and I can tell you what you are
-
like this aeroplane. I wanted to end with this. All right, You're
-
like this aeroplane. Every day God is just forming you. You start off
-
as a paper. There's no meaning. Cannot fly just be written on stepped
-
on. Right, you know how many times you're stabbing these paper with your
-
pen. If he has feelings, it's very painful. Right. But God
-
can create something or nothing, and now you can fly. Right. If
-
I asked, can you create me a truck? I think she can.
-
She can definitely fall into a boat full in the ship. Right. But
-
what you do when you allow sin to enter your life, what you are
-
essentially doing is this, And now you're just nothing but a power of trash.
-
And that's what sin does to you. God makes you into something that
-
you can do. You're calling your purpose. But if you are slave to
-
sin, you're just going to be trash. Amen. Friends, So just
-
be encouraged that you can. There's hope, and the hope is just by
-
relying on the word of God. We hope you've been blessed by this message.
