What’s your Faith made of? | Pr Kenneth Chin

We hope this message will light up your tea.

Okay, so we want to talk about faith, and faith

is really really important. Hebrews eleven, verse six.

Start with that. Hebrews eleven, verse.

Six says without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Impossible.

You just there's just no possibility at all to please

God if you don't live by faith. Second Corinthians five seventeen,

Oh no, no, seventeen, I think seven. Second Corinthians five

seven says we walk by faith, not by side. Now

another scripture I think in efficients two says we are

all saved by grace through faith.

So even our salvation needs faith. Everybody.

Okay, I want you to know that every time you

come about Sunday, don't expect just physical blessing.

Oh we have that over express or we eat well,

we drink well.

Just just expect, you know, some sort of a business

talk where I tell you how to make one million

dollars and this is the things you have to do. No,

every time you come to church on Sunday, expect faith

because faith needs to be.

Built up and encouraged.

Because when you live by faith, you will see God

move in your life. And that's very, very important. So

I want to talk about faith today. Now let's put

on the first slide. It says in the first slide,

and I want to thank XTV. I think it's Jack, right,

tak care of XDV. Hey Jack all right? I say, hey,

Jack goes Hijack is a totally different thing. Faith is

a gift that can grow. So Number one, we've got

to recognize that faith is a gift, and it's a

gift from God.

And God wants to give us faith.

He wants to give us a measure of faith, and

that measure can grow, It can grow. So I don't

want any of you to stay in your baby faith

for twenty years, thirty years. I want you to understand

that you can have baby faith, toddler faith, you can

have teenager faith, you can have tempus faith, you can

have young adult faith, and you can have you know

faith of a strong man and woman of God where

you can move mountains, can I hear good?

Amen.

Faith is a gift that can grow. So please don't

remain as you are. Otherwise you're shot changing yourself because

there's so many more things that God has in store

for us. So I said this to Bintulu. The next

slide says, we all have faith. I started on a

Friday night there in Sarahwa because it was a youth

meeting and they had invited friends who are not Christians,

and so I wanted to tell them that even non.

Christians have faith. To get on a plane is faith.

You're putting a lot of faith on the plane and

on the pilots, and on technology, and on the engineer

that just put in the screw and didn't forget not

to put in the screw.

Are you with me there? One screw can make a difference.

Okay, So it takes a lot of faith to go

into a lift and go up to the highest floor,

eighty eight floor. You know, it takes a lot of

faith because your your faith is on the in the

cables of that lift.

It doesn't snap.

I see even unbelievers are having a lot of faith

when they go on the Disneyland rights. Oh, I'm speaking tongues,

you know before I even yeah, And then if I

ever get up on one of those, I speaking tongues

all the time. You know, I'm like before they start,

and then my faith goes up when it when the

when when the when the machine starts going up, you know,

I go, and then it comes down. I tell you,

my tongues change throughout the time, and I tell you,

you know, you want to increase your faith, go on

to one of those rides, but even nor Christians go

and then when they come down, I'm like, okay, I

acted cool, right, that was good.

One more time.

I said no, no, no, once it's enough. But some of

you people here love those guy rights. It's one more time.

One more time takes a lot of organiser. Bungee jumping

takes a lot of faith, your faith in the bungeee,

the jumping, not just someone pushed you. Though someone pushed you, yeah,

and you go down spraying tongues and and you know,

a lot of faith in the bungee.

I've never done budgy jumping.

I've actually been to New Zealand and taken the ride

up to the hill and I can see people, you know,

just committing.

I don't want to finish the word, but you know, attempting.

Yeah, so yeah, yeah, I see them who you know,

and someone saying you want to try you know, you

got you gotta try it from here because here is

the birthplace. You know, here is the birthplace of bungee jumping,

the birthplace bun jump.

I went there.

But you know, I tell you what, I had to

be born again. Yeah, so everybody has faith. That's what

I said to the people at Bintulu. The first night,

I said, But the question is, and the next slight

asked this question, what is your faith made of?

What is it really made? Off? Next light?

So Jesus said to them, if you have faith as

a mustard seed. And you know I went to Israel

and he showed me a mustard seed, very very small,

you will say to this mountain, move from here to there,

and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.

I wonder how many of you have lived that life

that nothing is impossible for you?

Kind of life it is for you to live.

It is for you for me, the kind of life

that says nothing is impossible. It is for us who

believe in Jesus to experience.

But have you experienced that nothing is impossible?

I pray you will if you haven't, Nothing is impossible,

no matter what it is. You know, your business could

be dying, your marriage could be dying. You know, whatever

it is, you find you know, there is a big

rock in front of the mouth of the tomb, and

no one thought it could be moved, but an angel

moved it.

So I want to speak over your life.

This morning that you and I will continue to desire

to live that all things are possible life because there

is the truth. So why don't you take hold of

the truth and live it? Okay, don't die so early

until you taste it.

Okay, in this.

Life, before you ever go to the grave, I pray

that we don't need to go graver.

Jesus will come back Shulah and take us all to

the sky. Okay.

But if you're going to go to the grave one

day and the grave will be your last resting place

for your body, your physical body, your spirit will go

back to God, I.

Pray that you will not waste any more time from

now to then.

But say, God, if there is such a thing as

an impossible life that you want me to have, I

want it for myself. I want to taste it and

see that the Lord is good. Now, how do we

get there? Faith as mustard seed. So the next light

says it is not the size of your faith. So

the seed, the muster seed, is very small. So it's

never been about the size. It's been about the substance.

The substance, so the Bible says in Hebrews eleven one.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the

evidence of things not seen. You know, when you hold

faith in your hands, you've got to be able to

feel it, You've got to be able to touch it.

You got to be it's got to be substance and

not just ampty words, because there are too many people

with empty words, and that's not really faith.

Next light says this, and he looked up.

Well, sorry, this slight is not found in the set

of slights I gave because I just found this this morning.

But I'll give it to you anyway, Luke twenty one

one to four. Look twenty one one to four. The

slight is not there, but in the future we will

have it there. And Jesus looked up and saw the

rich putting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw

also a certain poor widow not bad enough days. She's

a widow. She's a poor widow putting in two mites,

or another translation says two copper coins. So Jesus said, truly,

I say to you that this poor widow, he emphasized

poor widow. It's alreally poor, that she's a widow. But

she's a poor widow, has put in more than all.

How do you put in two copper coins and be

regarded by the king of kings and the Lord of

lords himself with his own words, he said, she put

in more.

What a testimony she has put in more than all?

For all these out of their abundance, had put in

offerings for God. But she, out of her poverty, put

in all the livelihood that she had. It is not

the size is a substance. God is looking at a

woman and said, she gave more. You know, she gave more.

So a rich man can put in a thousand ring

it and he is so rich, he's a billionaire, and

a thousand doesn't mean nothing to him. And a woman

who has only two copper coins left, and she put

in all is the all is the is what it

costs you. So I want to say this to you.

And the slide is not there, But it's on my slides.

It's not on the screen. Faith that costs us something,

Faith that really matters, Faith that has substance, is faith

that cost are.

You with me? And for the rich people that were

giving a day.

It cost them nothing, they will probably give it to

the beggar.

We're not even looking twice.

And the woman, Jesu, this is not a man giving

you the standard is God himself saying. When I look

at the woman, she gave more this God himself saying.

So his standard is not our standards. His ways are

not our ways. His thoughts are not our thoughts. We

want his thoughts, his ways. How much did this cost you?

And that's why the Abraham and Isaac story still is

powerful to today because he gave Isaac.

How precious is this? This is faith.

I'm talking about faith that moves mountains. Is it precious

to you? Does it mean anything to you? Where Isaac

meant the world to Abraham and God was well pleased

and God gave Abraham not only Isaac back, but a

whole destiny that is beyond his wildest dreams out of

one child.

First he had no child.

They had one child, and he offered that child to

the Lord because God wanted it and his faith. That's

why he's called the Father of faith. How cool is that?

What is your faith? Packed or pregnant? With is what

the next slide says, Now before I even move there,

I want to talk about substance a little bit more

and just tell you this that you know, I was

looking for illustration and when when I was speaking to

the church in Bindulu and God says, Kenneth, you know

like detergent, washing.

Clothes, laundry, detergent. Uh. You go to the salesperson or

the salesperson comes.

To you and he says, ma'am, madam, you look like

you look like a madam madam uh? And Richard said,

why is this so expensive? You know, if you're going

shopping for why is this so expensive? Madam? It is

really different this one. I know, I know, I know

it costs five hundred ring bit for this moall box.

It's only washing, madam. He is not on this one.

All you need, madam, is one drop. In fact, one

drop can can wash five loads, okay. And you go

like what in the worlds is?

Okay?

And then another one, another shop you go to and

she says.

Madam, don't cheap money, cheap cheap.

This one one box five ring it, but you have

to use half the box for half the Lord.

All of you.

Understand this because we have lived long enough on the

earth to know that you get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for. So we're talking about

potency of faith, not size substance. That's why Jesus can

cast out demons are with one word. I think it's

found in Matthew eight, verse sixteen, with one word, he

cast out demons or like Oh, and those of us

are whose faith is still developing one you still have

the five dollars, five ringit box of detrogen.

We are just screaming our face. Get out, now, come on,

you know you're screaming everything. You know.

You know they say before that Jesus spent one hour

with the Lord at least every day at least one

hour or more. So, he spent one hour with the Lord,

and he only takes five seconds to cast out demons.

And those of us who find who spend five seconds

with the Lord will have take one hour.

To cast out demends.

You see, you see the opposite, one hour with the Lord,

five seconds.

With the devil.

Oh, and those of us who who find that we

only have five seconds with the Lord had to have

one hour with the devil. Ah Ah, Jesus one word,

who didn't see of your faith. So I was a

pray until the cows come home, and cows heaven't come home. Yeah,

I know, I understand sowars had to wait. The Lord

sometimes does delay. Uh you know, although you say you

know he doesn't delay. He's always on time, and that's

true as well. But it looks like delay. It looks

like delay. Lord. Why I think it's so long. There's

a time for that. You wait for the Lord. There's

a time for that. But otherwise, sometimes because we've got

so much doubt in our heart, we're still struggling. Yes, no,

maybe cannot Can you know you're struggling. A lot of

us are have lived a long time as Christians, are

still trying to convince ourselves that Jesus is Lord. And

today is still trying to convince that. When we hear

a testiminia, wow, they reclap sol out wow. Today I

came to church and I'm convinced again that is Lord.

Hello.

Just get convinced, words and for all our okay, and

start living your life to see the power of God.

That's how of us? You know?

Can you give me one more testability just to show

me that he really is Lord? How long you been

a Christian twenty five years. Hey, come on, get on

with it. Amen, everybody that's so quiet? What is your

faith packed with? Pregnant? You know, the Word of God

is called the seed, all right. The seed goes into

the womb or you know, it begins to Yeah, you

you have uh what you call uh the seed? You

know in the biological terms, right, it meets with the egg. Right,

And there is a conception that happens. And so every

time a Christian comes and gets the Word of God,

which is the seed of life, like the seed that

was sown on good ground, it finds good ground in

your spirit. So I said to the first service that

even men have got spiritual wounds, women have spiritual wombs.

And when the seed touches the womb, when the seed

touches the egg, when you're ready. When you're when the

egg is because you make your heart ready, you make

your your your your mind ready, you make your spirit ready,

and you are like one that knows is ready to

receive the seed of God's word. And something happens and

you produce life. And so every Christian that comes to

church on a Sunday or any day that you hear

the word of God. You should go away bigger than

when you came. Mean, you should be pregnant. You and

I should be impregnated by God's word, God's seed.

And so Christians, you cannot leave smaller.

You must leave bigger, with a bigger heart, a bigger mindset,

the bigger generosity, a bigger faith.

Are you also with me? Bigger?

Leave pregnant with God's word having impregnated you. Yes, I'm

speaking to men too, And don't go away smaller and

smaller and thinner and thinner.

No, no birth.

Something for the Lord, burst something. But you gotta be

able to receive God's word. It's either you know by

the wayside, you know you you heard this message before,

or it's on stony ground, or is on ground with

thoughts chalk the word, or is on good ground. So

I pray in the name of Jesus that all of

us will have good ground this morning.

Good ground for the good seed, and run it nates.

When it takes root, it will bear fruit thirty four

sixty four, one hundred fold in Jesus name. Are you

pregnant with that kind of faith? Does our faith have life?

Is the next question?

Is it a living faith? Oh, what you mean but fake?

And Diana, Yes, the rest you have faith, but faith

is dead and you don't want.

That kind of faith.

I'm getting a lot of response from the second row year, Hallelujah,

Praise God. Out of the mouth of babes. You have

ordained praise, says the Word of God. So if the

order old is her, do want to respond? The baby

will respond Hallelujah, Man, thank you, Praise God.

Amen. Yes, is it a living faith, living faith? People?

Some people to me are Christianity very boring. Oh my

word did you come from? So therefore those Christians can

ever dead faith or even faith.

It's a life.

I'm telling you, it's not even the church. Yeah, the premises,

you know, the color of the wall is nothing, you know?

Or how come only one guitarist this morning? Doesn't matter?

That doesn't matter.

I tell you, wh when your faith is dead that

you can go to a big Christian concert or so. No,

maybe you're moving, but if you're not producing. So the

Bible says faith is a master seed. Let's push away

the muster first, No master today. Just see it. Faith

is seed. Seed means life. There is life in every seed. Life,

and there's potential for more life. But that seed to

be able to have life and produce life and more life.

It's going to be sown. If I now give you.

If you put out your hand to me and I

put some seeds in your hand, can I tell you

it still remains a seed until you sew it. So

seed it is no use. I'm I'm gonna open my

wallet for a while. There's not to show you that

I have money. But money is substance. This is substance. Hello, Hello,

this is substance. Okay, it is substance. It costs me,

all right, I put it here in my hands. Yeah,

it might buy me lunch, maybe a little bit of dinner.

I don't know. But it's only for me. It's it's alone.

It's alone. It will feed me alone. But watch this,

if I take this seat and begin to sew it,

as seed should be used. Seed is never powerful in

your hand nor your pocket. Seed is only powerful and

fill the potential on the ground. So the Bible says

the next light John twelve, twenty four twenty five. Surely,

I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls

into the ground and dies, it remains alone alone. That

means no change only good for itself by itself. But

if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves

his life will lose it, and he will hates his

life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

I pray that your faith will be alive and that

it will be a producer of life. But the only

way you can see that happen is to sow your faith.

Because seed, I want to repeat, has no use. Just

in your hands, in your pocket, or to put on

the shelf you know, and worship it. Okay, don't worship

your seat.

Take it, put it in the ground.

What is the thing that will stop you and me

from sowing our seat in the ground is the love

for this life. He who loves his life will lose it.

And some of us in this room may be struggling

with this. We love life too much, We love you know,

our holidays too much, We love you know our bank

account balance too much. I know the richer you get,

sometimes the most stingy you might get. I don't talk

about anybody in this room because it might not happen

in this room.

Hallelujah, amen. But sometimes the richer you know why.

And my wife and I also experienced this one time

though we had no money, and this he got money,

and then the money.

Grow and everywhere.

Wow, you know how harder to let go because the

balancer is a very nice.

Thing to see you.

And to give it, to see the ballance come down.

So you want to see balance go out. Everybody enjoys

balance go on. But if you enjoy it too much,

you don't want to touch it. Right, Yeah, So don't

love this life too much. Love the Lord more, make

him your first love, and start to cause that seed

in your hands, in your pocket, in your bag, account,

wherever it is not.

And then I.

Shouldn't just be talking about money, because it can be time,

it can be talent. Are you also with me said

there needs to be some dying today. There needs to

be some dying today for life to come next. Light

says something must die in us the flesh, for something

to live in him the spirit. Relationians two twenty says this,

I have been crucified with Christ.

Relations to twenty.

It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives

in me, and the life which I now live in

the flesh. I live by faith in the Son of God,

who loved me and gave himself for me. Amen, there's

something that we need to die too, and not just today.

According to Paul.

First Corinthians, fifteen thirty one, I affirmed by the boasting

in you which I have in Christ, Jesus our Lord,

I died daily First Qarrienttians fifteen thirty one. I died daily.

I had to make a daily decision to die so

that something might live. My destiny might live, my legacy

might live, my future might live. You know, we just

we just lost a friend who was serving for a

few years in ex Melbourne.

He's thirty eight years old.

His name is Josha On and we had to say

goodbye to him recently because he had a heart attack.

Had a heart attack at thirty eight, fell in the

mall collapse and then woke up, didn't know what happened

to him, went straight to the emergency and they said

your heart is a blockage, and so in ten days

time they were going to do surgery on him.

But he's gone on the age day.

And I think life is really short, so it's not

just about physical death that that will come to all

of us.

I pray not I pray.

That Jesus will come back and take us all to

the sky. Alleluyah. That will be a great thing to do.

But otherwise death is very real, and all of us

will have to go through one time, and I pray

not the second time. It's called a second death, and

that is when you don't know Jesus that in heaven,

you know, we'll go into eternal damnation.

But I pray that, Yeah, this life is like this,

are all of us.

He's appointed for men to die once and then after

that the judgment.

Okay, that's what the scripture says.

But it's more important to die daily in that place

that stops faith from growing. Are you sowing your seed?

It's very important question to ask. So you have seen

in your hand, whether it's one seed or ten seeds

or hundred seeds, you have seen. And again I want

to say, it's not good in your hands. It's not

good in your pocket, it's not good in your house.

It's not good just you know, passing it around with family,

sew it? Are you showing it? James two twenty six

says for his body without the spirit is dead, So

faith without works is dead. Also, so ladies and gentlemen, brothers,

it says faith can die on, and it's our job

to make sure that this gift that God has given

us doesn't die, instead it grows. Are you working your

faith is the next question. Are you working your faith?

Faith works when we work faith. Faith works when we

work faith. Hallelujah, Praise God. Now, Albert alluded to a

story I said, and I told this morning at the

eight fifteen.

Albert.

Actually I was not planning to tell a story because

of time, but because you already said it so many

years ago, maybe about twenty eight years ago, I went

to speak in a small church in pj.

Uh.

It was pretty weird because I've never had to take

off my shoes in a church on a Sunday. I'm

sure I other prisoners do it as well, but this

one was my first time. I'm a young preacher, okay,

twenty eight years ago, twenty nine years ago, but I

think the first year of my marriage.

And I went there. I took out my shoes and

I went in there and there it's a house. It's

a house in bj just a house.

And there were twenty twenty five people, and they caught

me up to the poor bit to speak, So I spoke,

and then we came down pastor.

Could you I don't.

I don't think they even caught me past because I wasn't.

Past the yet.

Brother Kenneth, would you please stay back for a fellowship?

I said, you know, I didn't have the heart to

leave them so quickly, like, because all this was so.

Gentle, so nice people. Uh.

And so there was a table there for the speaker

actually is a dining table. Whore's the house to a

dining table. So I ran and sat down, and they

set me down next to a lady that's very gentle, looking,

very sweet. I told my wife the only way to

describe her is tweety Bird's grandmother. Tetyoe Bird's grandmother is,

you know, like she's always knitting, you know, and when

Sylvester the cat comes to disturb, she doesn't even know.

She's like, she's always like tweet te bird, you know.

So she's this tweety bird grandmother sitting next to me.

She could be sixty eight to seventy through age. Okay,

is twenty nine years ago? All right, I'm not sure,

but she's still alive. She's still a lifehould one hundred

right something. So uh, she said, uh, young man, I

want to thank you for the message. I said, thank you, Auntie,

you remind me of somebody. Oh, she said, you know

you have you heard of John's song? So it's not

a one in uh Subanjaya, and that is John Sum

is a revivalist. He was used by God to bring

revival in Cebu, in Sitiawan and Singapore, she essays, And

that's quite amazing. So I read about his life. He

died at forty one or forty two. He was a

medical doctor, but he was a fiery preacher. And if

you've got time, you can google him, or you know,

just God use him mightily. And I thought, wow, I

know about John Sum, and how come this lady knows him?

So she was saved in his ministry and she heard

him speak. She was invited by her friend to go

to Metadist boys' school, the compound where they had a

revival meeting. I think John Ssung was also Methodist, and

so revival meeting. Her friend invited her, but a friend

didn't come. So this girl sat there, listened to John

Sung's preaching and gave her life to Jesus.

All right.

I heard later through her sharing that that was the

only message she ever heard.

Only message she ever.

Heard until much later when she got to go to church.

Much later, but this.

Is a story. She went home to her father's mention.

In Jala and Yapkan Seing Jala Ampang where Public Bank sits.

There.

They own their whole land, maybe even the land that

the Australian Embassy sits on. Her family owns the whole

piece of land. And they have about four children or

five each child one seven and each child I think

either want bodyguard or whatever it is.

And she was one of the younger ones. Child year

is hoorah.

She comes back with conviction in her heart that Jesus

Christ is Lord and the only way for salvation to

ever take place.

She excitedly tells her dad, I don't know where.

He was like a capitan and something, you know, like

rich guy. He says, you must be joking. She says,

I'm not dead. Jesus came into my heart.

He realized that not THO was serious, asking her to

go upstairs.

Bathe come down for dinner and by dinner time, I

want you to tell me that you were joking and

all this is nonsense.

She goes up.

She takes a shower. You guys ready for dinner. She

comes right down. She's there together with all her other

siblings and moms there. Mom is very quiet because Dad

is very strong. Right, we're not we're not upset that

she's a retelling the daughter. Just say, you know, just

say just say whatever that makes that happy, Say whatever

that makes that happy. And Dad, in front of everybody,

ask her, so all this nonsense about Jesus, are.

You ready to tell me that you are joking?

She says, Dad, something happened to me in that meeting Travisola,

travis Ol. Jesus has come to my heart. I feel change.

Dad was so angry. Nobody got to eat dinner at

night that night because he said to the servant, pack

her bags, send her to the servants courts. So at

the back of the big mention there was seven carts.

She packs her back together with the maid and mate

walks her to the Cartus, Ama, you stay with me,

you stay me.

Your dad will be all right, he says, no.

Wish dad doesn't love the daughter that I think she's

trying to encourage her daughter. Yeah, he'll be okay, give

him a few days, huh, she she says, Okay. Four

years later, every day she's staying with the maid and

the whole servant courts.

She tells me, I said, the dad never call you back.

No, he was very very serious, didn't want any Christians

in my family. So she's there twelve to sixteen, and

every day the father's waiting for the daughter just to say, father,

I'm so sorry. I don't know what got into me.

I'm so sorry. She only heard how many messages one.

It's not about how many messages you heard, and it's

not about how much faith you have.

It's what you do with what you have.

As as when people tell me, oh that church, I

tell you, I know so driala no the message I said,

I said, let me tell you a story of a

woman who only heard one. The father then four years

later sold his daughter to the local fishmonger. So there's

a local fishmonger, a guy who sells fish at the market.

He was so of like a young adult of twenty

five or twenty six years old, took the sixteen year

old daughter and said you marry him, so in a

bicycle and took her away. The whole family was so distraught.

The mother ran into somehow depression. But the father, you know,

something's prider can burn a whole house down, went on

telling you right now, I can tell you right now,

it's like I will not move rich man.

Everyone knows you.

Maybe he thought he suddenly become embarrassed. You know, my

one of my daughters, so at seventeen years old, she

gives birth to her first child, and then she has

three children out of this man who she said, now, listener,

I'm at the seat there having my law and carry

path and biscuit, and I couldn't get my attention off

this beautiful, precious, elderly lady who is telling me the

whole story with a smile.

Law.

And then my father sold me because the joy of

the Lord really was a stranger. It was obvious. Maybe

it was a pontime. She was crying, and now she's like,

the Lord is so good. The Lord's so good. And

then right, so three children. The husband is having all

kinds of affairs out there, and finally leaves her, she said.

And my father and my husband left us, left me

with my three children, because you know, there was one

lady that he went after. And so I what to do.

I I've never studied, never finished my studies. I don't

know what to do. What work to do. So I

only knew how to wash clothes. So I washed my

neighbor's clothes. I went out to the neighbor door. On

their door, a multi millionaires daughter, just because of Jesus.

Right again, I want to say to you, is not

how much you have, it's what you do with what

you have. She's washing other people's closer and she gets coins, coins, coins,

and with the coins that she saves up, she puts

one to school, second child of school, third child of school,

washing other people's clothes.

Her children love her so much, you know, because they

know the mother's sacrifice.

They love us so much to bits they would they

would die for their mom.

Mom just loved their children.

Right then she said, you know what, my husband came back,

you know, ten years later something like that, not on

my door, say that I'm dying from cancer. Can you

I said, wow, this lady has been there for a

long time because she just wants to be faithful to

the Lord. She just said, never mind, this church is

he tells me, I will do, you know? And then

she says her husband died. And then she says, then

I went to church when my children were older. Now

I went to church. Oh, I was so happy to

years since my last message. And I went into a

small church. I couldn't believe how wonderful God is. And

she's like, I'm gonna tell you I was going I

wanted to get born again all over again.

No, I'm like, what out faith do I have?

Ben? And I'm the preacher for the day. I'm not, Lord,

where this woman come from? And also I remember the

Lord saying to me Johnson preached one message and got

this lady to be a true disciple without going to church.

Right, So I say, Lord, every message you.

Give me, I want to take it like it was

the only one someone was going to listen to. And

their lives must not only change, but must be convinced.

And then she said where your children all overseas? All three?

I said, oh, what are they doing? When once a

lawyer wants a doctor wants an engineer. So you wash

your clothes to get them all day. See, yeah, God

is so good. God is so good.

I was going to give her your husband and give

with your door asking it you.

Should have you know, just no finishing up on This

is just the human side of you. And I just

went away from that small church feeling more blessed than

when I went because again, it's about what we do

with what we have. What kind of faith do you have?

This is the kind of moves mountains one again? Oh baas,

I don't ever speak of faith already, establisher, faith as

a muscle seed. So it's the substance, is the potent sea,

is the one drop can wash five loads of clothes,

And usually it's the expensive stuff that has quality. The

to do every time I speak, I don't want to

give you all stats, la wisdom, LA you know professors,

so this la you know Billy Graham said that, la

you you find me very seldom quoting other people sounding

like a great presentation.

No, I don't need to move in the wisdom of man.

Not to say that stats is wrong, stats is good,

Not to say you can't quote people can. But at

the end of the day, you don't want people leaving

you're wiser. Will not necessarily change your life. What is

your faith based on? I pray that you'll be based

on the power of God.

Now almost the last question is your faith on fire?

Is your faith on fire? Is it alive? Does it

have substance? Does it cost you? It?

Is your faith expensive or not?

Because the expensive stuff, the things that cost you, is

the things that are of substance and potent. And just

one drop can change your life, just one message can

change your life. Is it on fire? Matthew three eleven?

I indeed baptize you with water until repentance. But he

is coming after me, is mighty than I joined. The

Baptist is talking about Jesus, who send us I'm not

worthy to carry. He will baptize you with holy spirit

and fire. Now, the Greek word for fire is poor

and poor has a few meanings energy, electricity, power, but

all right, whichever scientists you are. That's generally accepted is

uh collision of the opposites. God is opposite from us.

We are man, he is God. We are weak, but

he is strong. We are poor, but.

He is rich.

We count it impossible, but with him all things are possible.

We are total opposites, and yet he loves us.

He's divine. We are human.

We die, but he doesn't. He's the same yesterday, today,

and forever. But we change all the time. We are opposites.

But you need to recognize that if you are going

to be baptized with poor, with lightning, with fire, your

faith is on fire. Man, No matter how small your

church is, no matter what has happened to you, no

matter whether it's one full man or just one pianist

or guitarist, your faith is on fire.

You know what I learn about fire? Fire changes everything

it touches.

Even uh, well, you know paper will burn, handfuly, if

I put into fire, it will be disintegrated.

What else you know? Plastic will burn?

Plus you know everything Okay, this particular microphone will burn.

Even metal will become hot. Nothing remains the same when

it comes in touch with fire. Now, imagine if your

faith was on fire and I shake your hand and

I'm a man on fire, you cannot remain the same

because when you come into contact with fire, you have

to change because fire changes everything it touches. And that's

why sometimes when Christians are not on fire, wherever they

go to it's normal, like is if you met someone

who doesn't know Jesus normal, No Christian, it's just Christians

without fire. Christian by name. But if you have fire

in your voice, in your belly, in your actions, in

your prayer, in your giving, there is fire, electricity, lightning poor.

And who gives you poor Jesus no one else can,

and he will baptize you with poor.

And so you will know a speaker.

That doesn't speak out of poor, because you'll go like,

oh my word.

When is this guy gonna finish?

I'm not touched at all, I'm not changed at all,

or one that may not even have good English, but

God poor, and you will know the difference. And I'm

not even talking about myself now, I'm talking that you know,

when you hear someone you know, is it just good

for intellectual discourse or does it touch my heart and

change me? This is what poor does. I'm asking you

right now, as I asked you before, is your faith

on When was the last time you wan fire? You know,

after the camp of the conference? When was the last

time you want fire? I guarantee you when you're on fire,

you come to church earlier.

You do things very differently.

You're the same person, but because of the fire, you

do things differently, and you serve differently, and you give differently,

and you speak differently, and you love differently, and you

serve I probably say that already you serve differently. So today,

in the name of Jesus, before we close, I want

to encourage you. If you are low, I encourage you

to have a violent collision with the most high, that's God.

If you are down, look up. If you are called,

come to.

The one that's hot, because the Bible says he's the

all consuming fire. If you are negative and filled with

negativism every day, then come to the one who's always positive.

When you look at the cross. Sometimes I regret not

having a cross somewhere in our church. But you know,

when you look at a cross is a sign of

a plus. And so even the sign and the symbol

of the cross is positive. And the first five years

of extrasire that was our tech life, the cross at

the bottom always positive, and I dream, oh, there you go, Jack,

heaven and cut through the negative and made it positive.

And he says, when you have Christ, you're always positive,

no matter whether the situation is negative or not. But

you and I must have this violent collision. Yes, we

must come in prayer, serious prayer, maybe even fasting, worship

the Lord. Praise the Lord, and let the high meet

the law, Let the heart meet the core. Let the

positive mean the negative, and you will fine. Lightning can

here good.

Amen.

Finally, accidents fought to the tree. So the Lord said

to him, what is in your hand? This is Moses.

He said, a rod. And God said to Moses, cast

it on the ground. So he cast it on the ground,

and he became a serpent, and Moses fled from it.

Why do I want to close with this scripture because

it reminds us again God is gonna ask you before

this meeting closes, what is in your hand, And what

is in your hand cannot remain in your hand. You

have to cast it down on the ground. I spoke

to you about the seat earlier, and that's what it means.

It is in your hands. It's not good in your hands.

Cast it to the ground and let it come to life.

And sure enough, the lifeless rod of Moses became a serpent.

There was life in the rod. Amen, there was life

in the rod. But the rod has to be cast down.

This is Exodus chapter four, verse two and three. But

I want to read still in Exodus for this other scripture,

that it will be found in your next slide. Accidents

four nineteen to twenty says. Now, the Lord said to

Moses in Midian, go return to Egypt, for all the

men who sought your life are dead. Then Moses took

his wife, his sons, and he set them on a donkey,

and he returned to the land of Egypt. And Moses

took the rod of God. Since when was it the

rod of God? It was always the rod of Moses.

But verse twenty says the rod of Moses became the

rod of God. And before I close, I want to

say this to you. When you have that violent collision

with high and low, good, bad, positive, negative, call heart, impossible, possible, nothing, everything,

When you had that violence, when you meet with God here,

even in this church today, back in your house, in

your quiet time, when you're reading your Bible at night,

when you're about to sleep, and your praying in the morning,

when you wake up and you call upon the name

of the Lord, let that be a meeting between you

and the one that can change your life. So that

the rod that you lay down once upon a time,

the rod of Kenneth Chin once upon a time, the

worry of Eugene once upon a time, the trouble of

Rachel was a point of time. The problem of Albert

was upont of time, the anxiety of Zebite once upon

a time. You know, it was your rod, it was

your worry, it was your problem. And then suddenly it

becomes the problem of God because you laid it down,

because you look to the Lord. You put your seed

in the ground and it comes alive the Lord, the

lifeless lod becomes a serpent, it comes alive. There is

life in that seed. There's life in your faith, and

faith without works is dead. So you got to lay

it down, and you've got to come before the Lord.

It's the Lord.

Let the trouble of Kenna Chin become the trouble of God,

because when God takes all of our troubles, it becomes

no more trouble. When it takes all of our problems,

there is no more problems. When it takes all of

our sickness, is no more sickness. When it takes all

of our sorrow, there's no more sorrow. When it takes

all of our worry, is no more worry? Is the

Lord's worry now? Is the Lord's problem? Now?

Is the Lord's trouble now?

And we come and we have as the next slight

says the Great exchange. And finally, remember the five lows

and two fish. What have There was a young lad

who had no name. The Bible didn't give him a name,

just a young lad who surrendered his five loaves and

two fish. Yeah, that meal was just good enough for him.

As a young boy, five lows, two fish a lot.

But maybe he was gonna eat it for breakfast, lunch,

and dinner. But it would just be for you alone.

That's why the Bible says, if the seed falls to

the ground, if it doesn't fold the ground, it remains alone.

The five loaves and two fish was just for the

young boy alone. But on that day he surrendered his

five loaves and two fish, and he said take it,

and Jesus took it, and it's no longer. The five

loaves and two fish of the boy is the five

loaves and two fish of the Lord. And the Lord

broke the bread and gave thanks to the Father and

gave him back to the disciples, and they fed the

five thousand. The five thousand was fully satisfied with the

five loaves and two fish. They were all fed, and

there were twelve baskets full remaining.
