You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. Well, I'm here to tell you that if
-
ever you have setbacks, they are not failures. All right. That's the
-
title for today's message, setback and not failures. Wow. What kind of
-
a message is that? Wow? How many of you succeed all the time
-
every time? Let me see your show of hands. Then I guess this
-
message is for you, And this message is for us because sometimes we don't
-
get the kind of success that we want, and then we wonder to ourselves,
-
how can this be? But the fact of the matter is that we
-
experience setbacks. And I want you to know these setbacks can happen in church,
-
they can happen in your family, they can happen in your workplace.
-
But they are not final unless you make it final. All right, So
-
setbacks and not failures. Let's read from Second Samuel six versus three onwards.
-
So they set the ark of God and a new cart and brought it out
-
of the house of Amida Dab, which was on the hill. And Usa
-
and Ahil, the sons of Amida Dab, drove the new cart. Hmm.
-
You know what the story is about. The story is about the moving
-
of the Ark of the Covenant, WHI was the Ark of the Covenant.
-
The Ark of the Covenant was a religious implement, a religious item that God
-
had rested his presence over, all right, And it was supposed to be
-
an object of focus for the children of God to continue to believe and trust
-
in the Lord their God. All right. It was not meant to be
-
worshiped. The Ark of the Covenant was not meant to be worshiped, but
-
it was an instrument that God had used to cause the children of Israel to
-
focus on, all right. So when they saw the Ark of the Covenant,
-
they're remembering about who their God was, and they were supposed to follow
-
God's instructions. Now, the the house of Amida Aba, Amidah Dad,
-
the house of this guy. I'm not gonna twist my tongue and get it
-
cramped. Okay, was on a hill. Was on a hill. So
-
you know that it was stated that it was on a hill twice. So
-
what's the big deal about on a hill on a hill far away stood in
-
a russ Okay, it was on a hill. So the thing is this,
-
Sometimes our blessings cause us to be on hills. We're on top of
-
the world. We're on top of the world. Isn't it lovely to be
-
on top of the world. You know, when you're on top of the
-
world, there's actually really if you're not careful, only one way to go.
-
It's downhill. Okay. So that's why it was mentioned twice that this
-
house was on a hill. You do not want to lose a blessing because
-
you remain on the hill will tell without recognizing, there's some things that we
-
need to do to be careful about. So verse four, and they brought
-
it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on a hill. The
-
second time it's mentioned on a hill, so there must be some importance.
-
List. If there was no importance, it would only be mentioned once.
-
So anyway, they were accompanying the Ark of God and I heal went before
-
the Ah, so there was somebody in France. There was pomp and grandeur,
-
there was system. So a system was being operated in order for the
-
Ark of the Covenant to be moved. Hey, God wants the focus of
-
your attention on him, irrespective of whether you are stagnant or whether you are
-
moving. You mean to say, you can be stagnant and not moved.
-
Yeah you can. But whatever your condition is, your focus has got to
-
be on God doing the right thing. See, we're talking about setbacks and
-
failures. Is it okay to have set backs? Okay? How many of
-
us have had setbacks? Oh, that's almost all of us. We have
-
set backs. How many of us have had failures? How many of you
-
have overcome those failures? Then those failures were not failures. They were setbacks,
-
because if they were failures, you never would have overcome it. I
-
think you get where I'm going with this. Another mind, let's see verse
-
five. Then David and all the House of Israel played music before the Lord
-
in all kinds of instruments of fur wood, on hops, on string instruments,
-
on tambourines, on systems whatever that is, and on symbols. Now,
-
this is where we start to get confused a bit. There was celebration.
-
Yeah we celebrated just now, well, happy birthday? They cut the
-
cake. Is celebration worship? Okay? Let me ask this question again.
-
Is celebration worship? Can I see a show of hands? Those who thinks
-
celebration is worshiped, don't be shy Liah, you have to tell the truth.
-
How many of you think celebration is not worship? Celebration is not necessarily
-
worship. Nowhere in verse five does it say that the Lord was being blessed.
-
What did it say there was music? Hey, we go for a
-
party, there's music. Is that worship? How many parties have we been
-
to that there was music? Got a lot? Right? Was it worshiper?
-
But what if it was worship music? If your mind was not focusing
-
on God. You are great, God, you are good, God,
-
you are holy, then I got news for you. It's not worship.
-
You and I have to understand there's a distinction between celebration and worship. You
-
know, some of the times we miss it and we are saying, but
-
go what happened? I was so happy, you know, I was just
-
celebrating, you know, I mean, well know that people celebrate with wine,
-
people celebrate with champagne, people celebrate with beer, people celebrate with brandy,
-
people celebrate smoking cigars, people celebrate smoking other things. Whim Oh.
-
So David, somewhere along the line, did not see something very clearly.
-
He was going to move something of great importance to the Lord, and he
-
thought I'm a good musician. I'll just have a concert. I'll have a
-
concert in you know, in in conjunction with the moving of this item.
-
We just had a song in conjunction with the birthday of x Bu. But
-
do you know, until the second line was sung, until the second verse
-
was sun, it was nothing more than celebration. But when we sang the
-
second verse, may the Good Lord bless you, may the good that's when
-
we recognized for us to continue, God has to be involved. And when
-
you give that focus to God, it goes from mere celebration to something more
-
special. So now ask yourself on hindsight, those things which you failed or
-
you had your setbacks on, what's their worship involved? Who's their worship involved?
-
Now? When they came up to Natchal's his names sounds like Natos,
-
I like Natos okay, So when they I cannot say, when they came
-
to naturals threshing floor. When they came to Nachon's threshing floor, Uzza put
-
out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it for the
-
oxen stumbled. So now they're coming downhill. You see when you're up hill
-
and you're coming downhill. It may not necessarily be an easy journey. How
-
many of you've got this cars? When you're driving, they've got meter that
-
tells you you're saving petrol. Okay, that means you know, it shows
-
you. Oh, when all of it is to the to the right side
-
while you are using very little, feel very good. And then it moves
-
all the way to the left. You're not saving fuel, you're burning fuel.
-
How many you got cars like that? Yeah, we got right.
-
Okay, Well it is like that sometimes when we're going downhill, we seem
-
to be saving a lot of fuel. What kind of fuel are we saving?
-
Are we saving on that energy which should be given to the Lord?
-
Are we keeping that energy for ourselves? So now, as they were going
-
down, the car stumbled and Uza put out his hand to stop it from
-
folly. How many of you believe he did a great thing? Come on,
-
honestly, shore hands, you've read this scripture before. He was doing
-
a good thing, right, how many you felt that God's judgment? You
-
know what happened to him or not? The guy died, Okay, then
-
the anger of the Lord was he and then the anger of the Lord was
-
aroused against Uzan God struck him there for his error, and he died there
-
by the app How many of you thought this was a little bit harsh,
-
honestly? I mean I thought it was hush, pretty hush, right.
-
The guy was doing something to help his name, Yeah, but he was
-
still this God's thing. I cannot let it fall and put my hand out
-
and he died. Do you know why he died? I ask you a
-
question. There's God need you or I to protect him? When Uzza put
-
his hand out to protect that arc from falling, what was he actually telling
-
God? You need me? And that's where the beginning of our problems start
-
to arise, when we are telling God you need me. I'm something special.
-
You need me? Oh that is a very very how should I say
-
haughty thing? That's haughtiness before the Lord? Do you let me put it
-
another way? Do you think this great God, this wonderful God, who
-
set the sun in its place and put eight planets? And now I think
-
the count is two? Do off planets? Okay? Do you know there's
-
another planet besides Pluto? Pluto is now considered a dolf planet. I think
-
they found another one that is much further A science is us finding out a
-
lot of things. Do you know that there's one planet they haven't seen because
-
it's always on the other side of the sun, and it moves together with
-
how the rotation, So it's only through mathematics they have proved. I think
-
it's Neptune. If I'm not mistaken. They have not seen it, you
-
know, it's mathematics that have proven it's there. So anyway, that's a
-
different thing, not important. But this God who has as protected Earth and
-
put it in its circle, does he need anybody to prevent that arc from
-
falling? Think about it. This same God who said to the Sun,
-
you shall stand still while my servant Joshua takes the city, and the Sun
-
stood still and did not go down and remain there in the sky so that
-
Joshua could finish the battle. This God cannot prevent his ark from falling.
-
You begin to see how that God interprets it as haughtiness before him. When
-
God said, nobody shall lay their hands and touch that arc, for if
-
they do, they shall die. We read that that's before what was he
-
saying, I will detected? So now that you understand this, do you
-
think God was being harsh? You and I believe in a great God.
-
We have so many great things going our way. Sometimes we try to lend
-
God a helping hand with our own blessings, and that's when trouble starts,
-
setbacks happen. So you and I got to be very very careful. God
-
is very exact, he's gotten, He's got a certain way of doing things.
-
When we try and circumvent it, what are we trying to do?
-
We are trying to put our hand on the arc because we think it's falling.
-
We think our blessing is falling, so we show it up our own
-
way. Guess what happens? We diemand not physically die, but our blessing
-
vanishes. And perhaps that is why our successes turn around and go the other
-
way? Did you ever ask yourself that question? I wanted you to look
-
at verse eight and David, Now this is David, the man after God's
-
own heart. He became angry because of the Lord's outbreak against Usa. He
-
became angry, and he called the name of the place Peis, Usa to
-
this day is the Lord's anger. The Lord's anger means something to that effect.
-
Okay, so David became angry with the Lord. Hey, who is
-
David? To get angry with God. You know, I know of people
-
today who are angry with God. I don't come to church be goot angry
-
with God. I got a word for them. There's the sixth letter words
-
starting with S or there's a five letter word starting with eye. Seriously,
-
who are we to get angry at God? Can the ant get angry at
-
the elephant? I tell you the tale. The hair from the tail of
-
the elephant falls on the end, the end is crushed. Who are we
-
to tell God? God, I'm angry with you because this happened because I
-
feel you know, at that moment, you know what David was saying,
-
God, you were unjust. If he knew what God, if he understood
-
what God was trying to get across, would he have been angry? He
-
would have been angry at USA. How dare you think you have it in
-
you to show up God, show a s h R. E not shure
-
up to prevent something from happening to God? Hey, you know I always
-
think it very very strange. I thank God I believe in a God whom
-
I don't have to protect. I'm so grateful. I'm so grateful that I
-
believe in a God who doesn't need my assistance to protect his name. But
-
there's so many people in the world today who have to protect their God's name,
-
not me. You can say what you like about my God, because
-
I know you're you're another four letter words starting with F or not a bad
-
word. You know why, because the fool says in his heart there's no
-
God. That's the word. Okay. If you're thinking of any other word,
-
shame on you, all right. The fool says in his heart there's
-
no God. You know. God loves us and he wants to do right
-
by us. And what are these setbacks? How did the setbacks happen?
-
How did they come into our life? This is the answer. The answer
-
is here. Setbacks come into our life because we think God needs our help.
-
No, we need God's help even when he tells us to do something.
-
We are not helping God, you know, we're helping ourselves. To
-
us more will be given to those that don't have, even what they have
-
will be taken away from them. God gives you the talent, What are
-
you supposed to do with it? Buried in the ground? No use it?
-
Man? How do you use it? God? Help me to use
-
your talent? What are you doing? You're giving it back to God and
-
saying, God, I can't do it without you, but with you I
-
can do anything. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthen me.
-
I would rather be caught weak, because then I can be strong in
-
You, rather than I be so strong I don't need you. There are
-
many people in the world who say I don't need God, and that then
-
the word fool comes in. The fool says in his heart there is no
-
God. So have we ever felt in a failure or a seeming failure?
-
Have we ever felt that we were doing the right thing and somehow things still
-
didn't go away? How many of us have thought we were doing the right
-
thing and still we did not succeed. Can I see a show hands?
-
Because I'm one of them, Ask yourself, it's God to blame. Never
-
there was no progress? How many have felt of us have felt there was
-
no progress? Oh, I've been doing this for twenty five years. No
-
progress, no progress. It is very important that all may know that,
-
all me know I. As I've shared in my testimonies, I found out
-
so many people came to the Lord, which I found out twenty five thirty
-
years after I shared with them. So is it necessary for me to feel
-
there's no progress. No, as long as you've done what God has told
-
you to do, that is progress. What you see is immaterial. Do
-
you know if Ozard did not put out his hands super naturally, God would
-
have upheld that cut and the art would not have fallen. How do we
-
know that when Isaiah caught fire down from heaven to burn the calf that was
-
filled with water, the offering that was filled with water in the fire,
-
heaven came in and burnt all of it. This God, who can do
-
miracles like that, cannot keep a cat up. Strange how many of you
-
felt that when you didn't make it, others were to blame. Guys,
-
let's get with the program. When we don't make it, we failed,
-
and I'll prove it to you in a short one. When we don't cut
-
it, it's because we cut ourselves. How many of us, when we
-
experience failure, say we have failed and that's it, our life is over.
-
I'm a failure. People who can't get out of bed, people who
-
go into depression, people who have suicidal thoughts. These are people who feel
-
that they have failed and life ends with that. Then they value their lives
-
so cheaply, because our lives are not measured by our successes. Our lives
-
should be measured. They are faith in God and how God sees us.
-
Jesus said it. I believe it. I believe it because he said it,
-
and I know yes and no, the Lord's going to see me.
-
Yeah, that's a song, one of the first raps a long time ago.
-
Okay, Jesus said it. In fact, Smith Wigglesworth says has said,
-
I believe in his book Jesus said it. I believe it. I
-
believe it because he said it. And it's good enough your success. When
-
you said, Jesus coming to my heart and be my Lord and savior,
-
you will forever be in God's eyes a victor. You will forever be in
-
God's eyes successful. You know why because the Bible says you have crossed from
-
death to life. And nothing the Bible says can separate you from the love
-
of God. Neither height nor death, no principalities can separate you from the
-
love of God. And when you said, Jesus come to my heart and
-
be my Lord in saving you forever were and will be a success in the
-
eyes of God, because now he calls you son, he calls you daughter.
-
No longer does he call you a hiling. When that father was looking
-
in the direction that the prodigal son left, was he looking at a failure?
-
When he saw his son walk to him in tattered clothes, without shoes
-
on his feet, skin and bones, through starvation, disheveled, disheveled,
-
in a bad state. Did the father run up to the sun and said,
-
I told you you were going to fail, your failure, never listen
-
to me. See what happens? Did your father do that? No?
-
You see, the Father will always treat the Sun as a son. And
-
he ran to the sun and put the robe on his neck, put the
-
ring on his finger, and put the sandals on his feet, the cloak
-
of shelter, the ring of authority and sonship and freedom from pain, with
-
the sandals on his feet, never a failure before the Lord. So how
-
do we react when things don't go well? Hey? Man? We get
-
angry? Why not? How many of you when things don't go right,
-
get angry? I mean you're nailing a nailer on a piece of wooden,
-
and you miss the nail and you hit your thumb with the hammer. You
-
don't get angrier after you see the stars. Then you get angry? Man,
-
you owe my finger and then for daiser the fingers letting you know you
-
hit it going like that? Why not? How many you ever nailed the
-
nail before? Anger? Do we get angry? Do we get angry at
-
someone, anyone for that matter, because we did not succeed? Oh I've
-
seen people get angry at the world. Oh, you know, and live
-
in anger? What a way to live? Horrible? Does it make us
-
afraid when we don't meet up? When we fail? Do we get afraid?
-
We do? Isn't it We get afraid that we can't succeed, We
-
get afraid that it's going to stay that way. I tell you there was
-
a man who had no job and he came to me and he came for
-
counseling, no job, had a wife and kids to support, no job.
-
Then he said, so I asked him, have you gone for a
-
new Yeah? Yeah, I have gone for interviews? So uh uh,
-
you know, what? What? What? What? What do you think?
-
So? I was offered one of the job, But I don't think
-
it's God's will? Really? Why why you don't think it's God's will,
-
because they're offering one thousand less than what I want. I said, then
-
this is the word a lord for you. You have no right to eat.
-
I told him straight to his face. You have no right to eat
-
food. You should staff because the Bible says him that does not work.
-
Let him not eat. So if you ask me, what is the Lord's
-
will, the Lord's will is work. And if you're not willing to work,
-
don't eat. You have no right to food. He shook him.
-
Men, he shook me. I said that, now you know, but
-
that was actually under the the I think anointing. You know, he took
-
the job and until today he's super super super happy. He's super happy.
-
What is the Lord's will? The Lord's will is work, Clan, unless
-
the job is to go and kill somebody, then you know it's not the
-
lord's will because the Bible says do not kill, but the Bible says work.
-
So we and I get confused by what God's will is because we're not
-
looking for God's way. We're looking for our will, and we are placing
-
it upon God as if it's God's will. And that's why we have so
-
many setbacks in life. Doubt, do we doubt. Do we doubt ourselves?
-
Oh I can't do it, man, Praise the Lord. There's so
-
many things I could not do that I did. I don't know why I've
-
told you this. You know I got. I always get three upon hundred
-
for art, hundred for art. I'll be up there in school, and
-
then when the art marks are added, I come to the middle. I
-
know. Choice, man. I couldn't draw to save my life. Okay.
-
Then one day the pastor came up to me a long time ago,
-
Terrence, I want you to do a banner for me. You want me
-
to do a banner? You know what I get for art every time?
-
No, no, no, no, just do a banner. Okay.
-
What do you want? Believe us victory for Jesus convention. Okay, I'll
-
do that. They say, yeah, you have to do Okay, So
-
I asked the Lord Lord how to do her that time? No for the
-
starting machine again, very rare. This was in the in the early eighties,
-
very hard to find. For the steting machine again, it was liquid
-
Turner who was not powdered Tner. But those of you, some of you
-
will remember, Okay, no computer meaning that no way to discuss what design
-
formed. You know what am I going to do? I say, Lord,
-
And Lord said, you know, he gave me an idea, draw
-
squares. So I drew squares on the paper I think I used. You
-
know, the paper you put in between and then when you drop carbon copy,
-
So all my a for paper. I did letteringer did the squares.
-
Then from the squares, I started to draw letters. Okay, where I
-
got the idea from, I don't know. After getting it all done,
-
I hand cut everything and then I stapled it to a canvas which I went
-
and bought, cut and used my mother's sewing machine to sew. The banner
-
was about twenty feet long. Okay. I put the letters down there,
-
and then I took red pain and hand painted. That banner was up in
-
church for at least five years. Did I doubt I could do it?
-
My Bible tells me I can do all things through Christ to strengthen me.
-
Praise the Lord. I did not doubt get in the way. I did
-
not let my experience in art get in the way. Because I let my
-
experience in art get in the way, I never would have done the banner.
-
And when I look at that banner every time, I'm thinking that as
-
praise the Lord. I know with you, that's why it's up there.
-
It made me happy, and maybe that's why I continue to be able to
-
do so many things that I cannot do because God helps me. You're the
-
other day in the office, I fitted the door magnetic lock security system.
-
Have I ever done it before? No? Is the instructions available? No?
-
Can you check in the internet to get the instructions? Yes? Unfortunately
-
all in Urdu, nothing in English. Serious. So you know what trial
-
and error and praise the Lord. It works. You go and see you
-
cannot see where the wire is. You know, because I actually dug holes
-
in the wall, put the wiring in and seal it. Ah, don't
-
doubt believe paralysis, You know, the paralysis of analysis. You analyze,
-
analyze, analyze, You don't move. God wants us to move. He
-
doesn't want us paralyzed. Okay, even the paralytic that came through the roof,
-
He told the guy get up, take the bed and walk out of
-
here. Man, I think that's the only time guy paralyzes mentioned in the
-
Bible. Lame mentioned a few times, but one guy paralyzed that God didn't
-
allow him to remain Get up. Don't you dare lie on the bed before
-
me. You take that bed and get out of here. Okay. Paraphrasing
-
gives you the emotion. Okay, what's right? I want you to know.
-
What's right will always be right. What's right before God will always be
-
right. Do you know? In Second Samuel six eleventh, the ark of
-
the Lord remain in the house of obed Edom. The get tight three months,
-
and the Lord blessed opened Edom and all his household. Hey, if
-
you don't do it, God will do it. If you don't want to
-
move, it's okay. God's fine with that, because somebody else is going
-
to be blessed. David was angry with the Lord doubted himself. I'm not
-
gonna move the art, God said, do you think I'm pushed? You
-
don't want to accept my blessing. It's all right, I'll give it to
-
somebody else. And in three months God blessed that guy, not only blessed
-
him, bless everybody in the house. What's yours, blessed of the Lord
-
should be your blessing. Don't let somebody else enjoy your blessing when it should
-
be your blessing. You take your blessing and share it with somebody else,
-
that's different. But when you allow somebody else to take your blessing because you
-
do not want to move, that's very sad. All right. Then,
-
now it was told King David saying the Lord was blessed. Okay, the
-
Lord has blessed the house of obed Dam and all that belongs to him.
-
Don't worry, I'll be done soon. I know, you know it's lunchtime.
-
Even my stomach is grumbling. But so it was told King David.
-
You know why I was told to King David those days no internet, because
-
if there was internet, I go. You know, David would have been
-
checking in and you say, this guy's been blessed. Men for all the
-
cattle double triple or multiplying like nobody's business. What the guy dug a hole
-
in front gold amazing? No internet? Somebody had to tell me. So
-
somebody told him a David kinger, let me tell you. You know the
-
act of the company. You left the guy's house. You should see the
-
guy and he's been blessed. Now driving a Pochet, the new colored Poche,
-
you know, the milky brown. Oh, he just built airplane runway.
-
He's got a cessnade well, King David Stern Donkey. So the Lord
-
had blessed the House of obitied him and all that belongs to him because of
-
the aarc of God. You see, God's blessing will never stop because you
-
and I stopped. So you don't want to move. It's okay. God's
-
blessing will still continue, all right. So David went and brought the aark
-
of God from the House of Obitidem the city of David with gladness. So
-
David changed his heart. I need you God to bless me, and I
-
know you have. How many of us are blessed of the Lord. How
-
many of us are thankful that we are blessed to the Lord? Do you
-
know that if you're a tank about God's blessing, it will continue to happen
-
in your life. But when you decide that God's blessing was your effort,
-
it will stop straight away. You know, I'm so afraid to say I
-
know how to do those things. I'm so afraid because I don't want God's
-
blessing to stop. So I always tell God, God, it's because of
-
you I can do this. I mean, you gave me the idea I
-
didn't know how to do it, but you gave me the idea, and
-
God will continue to give you amazing ideas. If I were to tell you
-
all the ideas God gave me throughout my working life, it will surprise some
-
of you because I crossed into fields of study that were never mine. But
-
I confounded those who should have given those answers. What was the difference God?
-
I was hearing what God was telling me because I recognize my success only
-
belonged to God. And if you ask me, I will tell you now
-
I have not se on my own. I dare not see that because I
-
don't want those blessings to stop. And so it was that when those bearing
-
the ark of the Lord. Now I want you to know something happened between
-
the first time and the second time the aarc was moved. The second time
-
the act was moved, it was moved in accordance with God's instructions. The
-
ark of the Lord had gone six paces, and he sacrificed oxen, infetted
-
sheep, Wow one two three four five six sacrifice. Yeah, one two
-
three four five six sacrifice. David worshiped the Lord every six steps. You
-
know, why does our blessing stop because we stopped worshiping the one who blessed
-
us. Why do we fail because we don't recognize that we should worship the
-
one who's going to give us that success. But David caught it now and
-
every six steps. That means that every move he made was now with the
-
understanding that he needed to worship God and God would bring that success. You
-
see. That's why there's a difference between celebration and worship. Celebration maybe worship,
-
but not always Who makes it worship? We make it worship with the
-
understanding. So what was different this time? There was careful, second thought,
-
full sacrifice. Deliberate sacrifice. It means deliberate worship. Guys, what
-
will continue to make you successful in your life is worship. When we talk
-
sacrifice, you cannot sacrifice without worship. I mean when they sacrifice that oxenen,
-
that sheep, what were they doing? They were actually acknowledging God.
-
It is through your blood that you, because of through your saving me by
-
your precious blood, that all these things are happening. I get so afraid
-
all of you, with young families, young children, when you'll say,
-
oh, I'm going to stop serving the Lord because I had a kid.
-
Because I have a child, No, I got no time to serve the
-
Lord. Because I have a child, I got to pull back my service
-
from the Lord. You know what you're telling God, I can look after
-
my child better than you can. What a dangerous place to be in.
-
The child is supposed to add to your service, not subtract from it.
-
If you have a child and you say, God, I cannot serve you
-
anymore because of my child, you have told the Lord the child has now
-
replaced you in my heart. So when the child gets sick, through some
-
power you have, you're going to get the child better. Or because you
-
continue to worship God, you can look at the Lord and say, Lord,
-
I need you. I've told you this testimony before. Ashley, when
-
she was one year old, she dislocated her arm and she was crying and
-
crying and crying in church the whole old time. Didn't stop, not even
-
for us, not even for five minutes. What a bad parent I am?
-
I gave to God what was God's first and immediately after worship, I
-
rushed her to the hospital. When I went to the hospital, doctor gave
-
some you know, a rough examination. She's dislocated the AARB. I got
-
to get ready and an x ray to confirm it. I looked at Elder
-
Mabel and I said, let's pray. I don't want Ashley to get in
-
an x ray at this juncture. So I was holding a toy in my
-
hand. She was sitting on Mabel's lap, still crying. Then I said,
-
Lord, in the name of Jesus, I believe you to heal Ashley
-
right now, in Jesus's name. Immediately, Ashley reached up for that toy
-
in my hand, and then she started laughing and laughing and laughing, and
-
she was giggling, and she was complete one hundred and eighty percent in the
-
opposite direction. So I tested her. She was laughing and joyful. I
-
just carried her with almible to the count and said, there's no need.
-
She's healed. And I walked to the hospital and saw the doctor. Why
-
why do I need to see the doctor? She's here because God looks after
-
my child better than I can. That's my understanding. I'm not telling you
-
to do what I do unless God tells you. But I do know one
-
thing that if you are telling God you can look after your child better than
-
he can, You're on very dangerous ground. There was worship and offering.
-
David set aside his kingly garments and put on simple attire so that he would
-
not be restricted in is worshiped before the Lord. Hey, do we complicate
-
our lives with all our trappings. I'm the boss, so I cannot worship
-
the Lord. I am the managing director, and I've got my staff in
-
the off in the office, coming to church. I got to carry myself
-
in dignity. I'm sixty five year olds, sixty five, sixty three,
-
I'm sixty three. Have you seen me worship the Lord? I mean I'm
-
dancing, I'm moving, I'm dancing. You know how does that look to
-
some people? What's wrong with this? Guy's got gray haird you see the
-
way he's moving like that? It's so undignified. So you going to be
-
a cayoula if you want to no me. That's why I'll be mobile until
-
I'm ninety one hundred. Because if I got to be mobile, let me
-
be mobile for the Lord. The Lord will look at it and say,
-
I like this guy. I will continue to give him mobility. Why would
-
the Lord give someone who doesn't move mobility? You don't move anyway, so
-
why would I waste that blessing on you? Do you see how God says?
-
Do you realize that's the way to think. The work was not done
-
until carefully prepared of rings were made. Worship was intentional. Worship is intentional.
-
You want to get God to move on your heart and on your behalf.
-
Be intentional with how you acknowledge Him and what he does for you.
-
Because when you acknowledge what He does for you, if you have failed that,
-
he will turn it around into a success, just like he did by
-
David wisconcerned and that art was moved. The failure never has to remain one.
-
He never has to remain one. It is a setback, but a
-
setback that is not addressed becomes a failure. Success are not failures, but
-
opportunities to get it right. We hope you've been blessed by this message.
