You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
I want to share with you the title my message
-
is Heavy with Help from God from Genesis chapter twenty
-
two was one to two.
-
Now before you think there's.
-
Another thing that you know, another message that puts people
-
down and stuff like that to make people with you
-
guilty if for not doing enough, well, it's not really
-
about that, friends, It's really at the end of the day,
-
it's really about what God wants to do with our life. Right,
-
I've only got three points, and three points you're always
-
going to remember this is tn O. How you normally
-
put tn O for your offering is TNO, just in
-
case you're in case that you're taking notes. But I
-
want to speak about this because friends, that God really
-
desires the church to understand that just coming on a Sunday,
-
just coming on the Sunday, it's not the full conviction.
-
While it's good, friends, we love coming on a Sunday,
-
but there has to be more. There has to be
-
We sang this song Holy Spirit move Right, and I
-
was writing in my journey, I don't know why, you know,
-
I didn't want to come up apprecially because I was
-
just writing some thoughts down almost in tears only because
-
while we're asking Holy Spirit to move and God saying that.
-
It is Earth shouldn't be moving and not the Holy Spirit.
-
If you understand right we are telling someone to move,
-
then we are Lord. If you understand tracy, then we
-
should be moving with the pillar of cloud and fire.
-
Hallelujah. Right, So.
-
Smile your friends. Is not an other session about bashing
-
and stuff like that, right and casual Genesi Chapter twenty two,
-
Verse one. Now it came to pass these things that
-
God tested Abraham. God tested Abraham. Who tested Abraham? Come
-
on next, go to communing.
-
Praise?
-
So Hilaiah, God tested Abraham. Now friends, stadtd stdy all right,
-
all right, God is the one that tests. None of
-
us here signer or test on friends, Come on, if
-
you're know how many of you sign or tests?
-
Please test me.
-
God, Please, Lord, I want your I want to be
-
tested today. In fact, most of us here, if possible, God,
-
please test someone else. My neighbors sitting next to me
-
right now need the testing.
-
Someone else.
-
Right, But the Bible he say God tested Abraham, and
-
he's sitting in Abraham and this is what Abraham said,
-
here I am. Friends, the conversation between God and Abraham
-
did not start with this, Abraham, I'm going to test you,
-
and Abra replied God, here I am. The word test
-
was not in the conversation, but the intention was. God
-
wants to bring Abraham to a journey. How many of
-
you know that here we'll go to a journey as well.
-
And he says the worse two that he said, Now
-
take your only son, your son, your only son, Isaac,
-
whom you love, emphasis, whom you love. And sometimes in
-
our life, friends, in our journey, in our work with
-
the Lord, I want I'm not sure how many words
-
here we ever heard from from the Lord during our devotion.
-
Please take something right, whatever it is, and use emphasis
-
that you like very much, that you really adore your
-
precious of precious right.
-
I have not heard preachers come up today.
-
Godspook to me and asked me to take my precious,
-
the one thing that I love, right to offer up
-
as a sacrifice. But here's it, God saying to Abraham,
-
and go to lemb right and offer him up there
-
as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which
-
I shall tell you imagine your daily devotion. You woke
-
up one day God here and speak to me. And
-
God is saying to you, please take the one and
-
only thing that you love so much you've been praying for,
-
and offer him up at the autar. I'm not sure
-
how many others see God. They can be you. You know
-
you are. You are the shepherd. I mean if you
-
were an image of Jesus, friends and image of Christ,
-
it will be Jesus with the shepherds, staff, with the
-
with the lamb. Have not seen anyone putting in their
-
house Jesus making a whip and cleaning the temper. I've
-
not seen a picture of Jesus that's being so that
-
Jesus was, you know, creating the whip. No, it's always
-
Jesus is living. Have you seen the movie of Jesus,
-
Jesus movie before, so we will have right, we have
-
different renditions of Jesus movie and the not the funniest.
-
Someone told me that that back ten years ago, the
-
whole movie Jesus was smiling, smiling. That was a smiling
-
actor that portrays Jesus that way. I'm not sure how
-
many of us here will imagine Jesus speaking to us
-
God speaking to us, please take the one thing that
-
you love and offer him up at the altar. I'm
-
not sure how many of us here will respond, because
-
the first word that I want to emphasise is test.
-
God wants to test Abraham. Turn to your neighbor now
-
and say that God wants to test you.
-
Yeah, h.
-
God wants to test us. God wants to test us.
-
First missions is about testing. It is oh. I used
-
to use the work familiar of the comfort. I used
-
to work getting out from comfortable to uncomfortable friends, but
-
only to realize that you know, my comfort and your
-
comfort could be very different. I grew up friends sleeping
-
on the floor on the seamen floor in my childhood days.
-
You know the nice seamen floor right with a fan, right,
-
nice colzey Man floor. There's the best version of a
-
of of of of of a mattress back then, right.
-
And I enjoyed it, and I say, you get to
-
sleep on the seamen floor. And I was just say hallelujah,
-
prays I love it. But I realized, friends, it's not
-
about comfortable uncomfortable friends. It's what's familiar. It's what's familiar.
-
We need to be uncomfortable friends. Or rather, we need
-
to get off and what's familiar to us, This is
-
familiar worship, familiar worship, familiar worship. But what happened if
-
God brings it out into a place whereby that's not familiar,
-
whereby you get the worship leader may not be singing
-
in the right pitch. Some of you are pitch per fect,
-
but you can't you can't stand it?
-
When when? When? When a pronunciation is all? What happened?
-
If the speaker's slides got a lot of grammar mistakes
-
like today some of you, I'm serious, right, I tell
-
her to confess again. My wife helped me to prepare
-
the slights. Every page you got to see has been
-
I think I sent to her asked to help me
-
to correct my grammar because I know when I'm tired,
-
my grammar's out of the window. And friends, all right,
-
but getting out from what's familiar to what's not familiar. Friends,
-
and God wants to bring us into a place. God
-
will always give us an opportunity, come on, opportunity for
-
hearts to be tested.
-
Hallelujah, Praise Lord.
-
Our hearts will be given opportunity to go to a test,
-
to go to a test, and even though Isaac was
-
a promised friends, come on, Isaac was a promise from
-
God to Abraham.
-
But Abraham still need to go to the test.
-
Come on, Isaac was a promise, But abrahams you have
-
to go through the test. And some of times in
-
our life when we pray for a break tough, when
-
we pray for something that we wanted so much and
-
God come true for us. God came true for you,
-
provided you with a job. My job will be tested
-
even that relationship. God, Please, I did a life partner
-
and God came to and opened her eyes to see.
-
There are people around that are still singer in church,
-
and you'll satt the day.
-
Think.
-
We have seen many times people get involved with relationship
-
while the first thing that goes out the window is
-
the commitment to the Lord. They are commitment to the Lord. Friends,
-
and many times our journey friends, whatever we pray for,
-
God will always bring that to a test. One preacher
-
put it this way, what happened you think about it?
-
What happened if Abraham offer up Isaac and Isaac did
-
not return, Well, Abraham still follow the Lord. Now, why
-
if you offer up something to the Lord, pray for
-
or break through and didn't where we still follow the Lord?
-
And sometimes I'm afraid that you know that we may
-
not because the disappointment is so real, the heurd could
-
be very real. You will pray and hoping for God
-
to come true, but God responds in another way. Will
-
we still follow Christ of God? Or when when we
-
don't get answered?
-
Every one? What is the purpose of a test? Come on?
-
It's to reveal to the person that who is being tested.
-
Come on the test. The exam is not every exam
-
we go to. It's not the test teach you know.
-
It's to help the individual who's going to the test
-
to reveal what's insight.
-
Come on, what's inside? And many times.
-
Say God, please, I don't be tested. If you don't
-
go to the test, how do you know what you
-
have insight? We all say that we want, we want.
-
The word is that commitment, But the commitment has to
-
be tested, have to be tested.
-
Come on, have to be tested. Some of us here
-
could be younger.
-
But one day you take care of your parents, you
-
would and when you take care of your parents' friends, see,
-
I love my parents a lot. But one day, when
-
you take care of your parents, that love will be tested.
-
I'm staying with my dad right now. Just let you know, Okay,
-
I want to set the record straight here. My house
-
is going to repair and renovation, repairs and renovation. It's
-
a long story started in February now supposed to be ended.
-
But you know, one day the local counselor came by
-
and just say, you know, one of the neighbors complaining
-
and the stuff that I was doing everything internal, but
-
no problem. I went, I went something on my application.
-
So in the meantime, I have to move out from
-
my house. So when I move off from my house,
-
I told my wife, I said, I tell you what,
-
None of our parents place are conducive for both party
-
to stay together, this same place we left our parents
-
place twenty years ago, and now having to move back,
-
I'm saying my dad right now, my wife is staying
-
with her set of parents. It's very different, very different
-
staying with my dad right now. My dad's staying alone.
-
My mom passed away two years ago. I finally understood
-
why he couldn't clear this house. He comes back from
-
from from church meetings to just fall asleep on the
-
couch and stuff like that, offering me fruits to eat
-
at eleven thirty at night in LA got banana for you?
-
I want to say, no, it's okaynot I just want
-
to eat la because it's say I'm eating fruits at
-
such late night. I would go sleep at four thirty
-
in the morning, and then my my first assignment is
-
at five am in the morning. So how and I
-
sleep last the whole day? The commitment, friends will be tested.
-
Tested.
-
I sat down with my dad said, I tell you what,
-
I'm going to clean the house. Okay, but why the
-
house allot of stuff? Or you're still around. I can
-
ask you whether I can give it away, through away
-
or move it out. The commitment will be tested friends.
-
No commitment friends in our life won't go to a test.
-
Even your commitment to one another will be tested. Would
-
you hold on tweet?
-
Not friends?
-
So I let you though, So I'm I did not
-
argue with my wife always saying separate place. All right,
-
this is what everyone needed to know. Okay, just in
-
case that you're thinking someone else I was reading when
-
we was so the puss John Lin from asking up
-
all that I'm not staying with my wife.
-
You call it what please be look one more month? Okay,
-
that's it.
-
A moving move back to go to morning after that,
-
I'm saying, my wife rust Now I'm going back to
-
my dating this afterward.
-
What's it, Daniel, this would move on?
-
Okay, just your wife is asking you to take it
-
for a date, all right, noted.
-
Notably? Thanks, right, Yeah, so it's like dating.
-
Afterward, I go out from Macca together and send him
-
back the churrass. I go back to Pucho. The days
-
when I go to Pucho to pick up, go to
-
Charice to pick up early in the morning, and come
-
to work in the same car. I was like, nine,
-
understand why if you want to date this date when
-
you're young, when you're older friends when you're older, and
-
it is a difference, So I go ahead. It is
-
so far side trick trick, Okay, sorry, everything went all right.
-
So once the purpose of a test is to review
-
to the person who's being tested. God really knows her
-
heart in Luke chapter sixty or fifteen, God already knows
-
her heart. But the questions, do we even know what's
-
in our heart? Do we even know how deep it's
-
our commitment? How they say that's not how deep is
-
your love?
-
Right?
-
Do we even though we say that, Lord, I'm committed
-
to you, right, But do we understand the commitment to
-
the Lord? Not? We say God, if you can use anyone,
-
use me and God we spoke to you. Go for
-
missions conference, Oh Lord, canno be you Lord, because missions
-
conference is so far, I think, go to the community.
-
They want me to go all the way to Bookie
-
Jalo far Lord.
-
But yet at the same time we can go to
-
Coplate Conservations next door. Now I'm not saying praise Lord.
-
I know ex Coman Bay Holy one a right they
-
do go Copley all right, and said so problems Seventystreet.
-
The refining part is for silver and furnished for go hallelujah.
-
But the Lord texts the hearts of these friends Stiller
-
and go precious, come on true or not? Precious? Have
-
not seen American couple. And on the wedding day when
-
look at the wedding ring, what is your wedding ringer
-
the Cca cola?
-
Can you know what I mean? You just preak it up.
-
It's a no, It's it's still where it goes, precious friends,
-
even though it's precious unless it goes through that refining process.
-
The value it's there but it's not maximized. Come on,
-
not maximize, not the fullness of it. But when Sue
-
and God goes through the process and become purified, friends,
-
the value goes up. And sometimes in our lives, Friends,
-
we have to go to it because God knows and
-
understand our capacity. Friends, if it would allow God to
-
just even come in, you'll be amazed at what you
-
could do for the Lord. I got another message I
-
spoke a couple of weeks ago, and another just plan.
-
We always say we want to expand to the left
-
and to the right, true or not. We love the
-
expansion of the left to the right. And you know
-
we love the hit to be hit another tail, true
-
or not. We love those scriptures. We claim it, sometimes
-
we confess it. But before all that can come to pass.
-
In Asia, I think fifty four, there's a part in
-
the second published scriptures say enlarge your tent and all
-
of us don't have a problem. We unlash our mindset.
-
You know, we go for different things we true or not,
-
we go for different things. We there's a published scripture
-
that says that let them stretch out the curtains of
-
your dwelling, Let them stretch out the curtains of your dwelling.
-
I just.
-
Extally you could you help me out? I think Isaiah
-
fifty four wards two. I just need to point this
-
out to you. Let them stretch out the curtains of
-
your dwelling many times in our life, many times in
-
our life and our journey. Friends, we love the word
-
and launch the place of that. Come on, who doesn't
-
want a bigger space? Come on, who doesn't want a
-
slightly bigger car? We love that, right and well, we
-
love then latch one of our tents. Friends, come on,
-
take about the scripture, say and let them stretch you out.
-
I'm not sure how many of us sales will allow
-
them into our life to be stretched. Come on, I'm
-
not sure how many of us will say, God, would
-
you use them to stretch me so that my curtains,
-
my curtains will.
-
Be spread out.
-
And in our journey friends, we need to have them
-
in our life by going bye bye, by saying God,
-
would you allow them?
-
When we go to the field. If you've been to
-
the mission field.
-
I'm sorry, always say, elder, stop preaching about missions. I'm
-
going to preach about missions today. When you go to
-
the mission field, friends, when you say I'm go for
-
missions that you can't say, I'm not going with Chillan,
-
I'm not going with chur and therefore I cannot serve
-
in the chewous ministry. First, you are the Jewish minister
-
that they. You are the worship leader that they. You
-
also are the preacher that they. You also need to
-
minister the old folks that they. You are everything Swiss
-
army night for the Lord, Hallelujah, Praise Jesus.
-
We can't say that God, I'm not trained.
-
And God has never asked us to be trained in
-
that manner. God say, just serve and I will show up.
-
Just serve and I will show up. If you go
-
to the few friends, your ministers, to gangsters or the
-
Philippines pala one opportunity to be there with a pastor
-
over there, say very first, I want you to preach
-
in front of us a crowd of four with fifty students.
-
I didn't know what to do.
-
I'm never the biggest I spoke to back then, was
-
only twenty five to fifty people.
-
I would church back then was small.
-
I called passer back then, Okay, basis before into that days,
-
I say, pastor. They asked me to do it? Can
-
I just tell them? Do I don't want to do it?
-
Not I say no, you're sittting there. They asked you
-
to do what you just go ahead and do. I
-
was so nervous. Friends, it's very different to preh a
-
very familiar crowd, very different to presh to people that
-
you have you don't even know. They feel like throwing
-
their textbook at you. I felt that way and I
-
was standing there, didn't know what to do. Have to
-
ask God, would you come to Then it comes to food, friends,
-
the food offered to you sometimes in our journey, in
-
our life, right, we only eat eat hot piping food.
-
If you understand what I'm trying to say, hot pipeople
-
My wife grew up that way when she married me.
-
Or food became cold after that because by the time
-
you come back, I'm very used to it because I
-
grew up with a working family my wife normally it's
-
out all the time.
-
So at the field at.
-
Philippines, I was offered a steamfish that was prepared three
-
hours ago, and after the ministry we went there. They
-
serve a thousand island dressing on top of the steamfish.
-
So we were like, oh, yes, thousand island dressing on
-
the steamfish. Most if you talk about safish, you always
-
see how why not right? See yo, and stuff like that.
-
This is thousands island dressing. If you do not know
-
what the taste, try us small peace. Trust me you
-
would grow to appreciate every steamfish that come out with
-
so yourself. After that, it was a fish that I
-
thought I saw suit, assuming it was an item. I
-
went to the Philippines. Friends, just let them stretch out
-
the contagy of their dwellings. You say, God, please test us.
-
Sometimes tests involves others stretching us. You say, we can
-
go to a test by ourself because it's between us
-
and the Lord. But when God puts you in the
-
team in the church, other people are stretching you out.
-
Friends, I pray that you still love Jesus.
-
I pray you will not be disappointed with another brother
-
or sis say in Christ, I pray say that, Lord,
-
I understand what you're doing right now.
-
Lord, help me see the purpose of the test is.
-
To reveal, we say, God and I got the frill
-
of the spirit, love, peace and joy. That love pieces
-
and joy declaration will be tested when you go to
-
a traffic jam and someone cuts in your lane, especially
-
with the bumper stickers right in front of that love Jesus,
-
I'm not sure how many over silk can can still
-
hold on to a conviction or not when you are
-
disappointed all the way go to boogie jalu just to
-
hear back the same thing, go for missions. I'm not
-
sure how many overse seal we still hold a conviction
-
whereby when we serve there is no recognition. God wants
-
to test our hearts. I got to go on, friends,
-
if the furnace is used to remove the impurity that's
-
in cil, how much more has is to go to
-
the furnace of affliction and suffering? If come on, if
-
the furnace is used to remove impurity that's in the silver,
-
how much more our hearts to go to the fest
-
of affliction? One translation for us the furness of suffering.
-
Furll this of suffering. Come on, none of us is
-
off of suffrequent workshop A let's say workshop B relationship
-
workshop see furnish of suffering. That will be the least
-
attendant on friends. I understand that friends, none of us
-
here is abscribed to that by friends? God bring us
-
to this to reveal missions is one of the avenue
-
God used for a heart to be tested. One of
-
the avenue that God used for a heart to be tested.
-
That's why sometimes God will encourage us go sign up
-
be a part of it. God will always use what
-
God has given to the church. You heard past it's
-
a serious messages. Now I really want to encourage you.
-
Please please comfort it. We told them, please share your
-
story on the field, because trust me, you have not heard.
-
You have not heard all of it.
-
There's so many stories that we have portrayed him for
-
Balla to share with us about his time in the
-
power and how right now he's known as the uh
-
the ghost bustard over there basically got love love deliverance
-
has taken place. They called him a pusser. We come
-
to my house, come to my house as evil spirit there.
-
They don't what to do.
-
Got people climbing up the wall as well and stuff
-
like that, and puss prayed and the guy got delivered.
-
The only story is not just to frighten us or
-
anything like, just to tell us friends, the people out
-
there that needs really need the gospel, really need the gospel.
-
Submissions were that everything the Gods We's going to use
-
to test our hearts, right, I got to go.
-
On, all right, it is and we are.
-
It's when we are removed from what's familiar and comfortable
-
to earth that will cause it has to be challenged.
-
Removed from what's familiar and comfortable that's in our life
-
that caused it has to be challenged. In the mission field.
-
We will be called the serf in areas where we
-
haven't served before.
-
But we we used to serve. I'm very comfortable as hosts.
-
But can you worship?
-
No?
-
I cannot, I cannot.
-
We will be called the worship alongside with them dressed differently,
-
sing different songs, and they will speaking a different language.
-
But can we still worship? Can we still worship? I
-
shall this?
-
Before I went for a Passes gathering and most fastive gathering,
-
we won't have someone most passive can sing in Kila
-
except for pass Andra and a few that's the one
-
from the Lord Halley.
-
Yeah, but majority of us here are with the normal
-
karaoke voice. Right.
-
And and when we worship the lot, friends, you're not
-
singing peace. You just want to worship the Lord. But
-
when I was there one past his fellowship, I remember
-
the passes where I started singing I Love your Lord,
-
and didn't go in any key at all.
-
She just said with all heart.
-
I just when she started singing, Friends, I'm gonna let
-
you know I wasn't moved by the spirit. Would just
-
move by the spirit of laughter. Seriously, I wanted to
-
laugh so loud because I thought I sing bad. But
-
this is next level. Seriously, there was this one. It
-
was next level. And I saw Passal was beside me.
-
Pass I was close worshiping.
-
I was there. I were like, try very hard.
-
Friends, you know when we are so the one is
-
that we become so professional in our worship. If you understand,
-
if pass then off the whole time. The instrument key
-
and the woker keys are totally very different. We will
-
be very distracted throughout the whole worship.
-
Won't be.
-
God, Please don't try. You know, we'd be very distracted.
-
Won't be We would be right. But yet what happened.
-
If you're in an environment or situation or church plant,
-
worship is like that.
-
Worship is like that. It's like going for homes.
-
Some of your homes are blessed with great worship leader,
-
but some of homes is you know, we do worship leader.
-
We love guitarists. We only a few people coming together,
-
yet we are very comfortable doing this in a carooke room.
-
But we can we still worship the Lord. So I
-
was there and God spoke to me.
-
You know, these people here may not have much, but
-
they send me their hearts, send me their hearts. Have
-
to ask for forgiveness that day because I was, I
-
really tried very hard not to laugh. I really try
-
not to giggle. I was tying my shoelaces all the
-
time to the past the guests of laughter. But can
-
we still worship if they sing differently? If we keep
-
saying no to be tested, when we will ever, when
-
our hearts ever get tested? If we keeps saying no,
-
God tests someone else, God tested, when we're hearts be tested?
-
If we keep saying no to serving, where our hearts
-
be tested? If we keeps saying no to missions, when
-
will our hearts be tested? If we keep saying no
-
to God, when will our hearts be tested? A test
-
that we choose, it's not really a test. Come on,
-
A test that we choose is not really a test.
-
But elder, you must understand I'm already a test. A
-
test that we choose not really a test. It's not
-
really a test, friends, because God tests involves obedience.
-
Come on.
-
God's test always involves obedience, always involves faith, always involved
-
commitment and sometimes our journey, friends, our journey right of testing.
-
There is no obedience in it, no obedience in the test.
-
That's why when people have a brick schure of friends,
-
have a brick schoo on her. No matter how tough
-
the challenge is, you now go back the same again
-
one friends, God's tests always involved obedience. That's why when
-
the when Jesus said the temper the rich people give
-
out of the bundance, he didn't say the British people
-
was doing it wrong.
-
They're just giving.
-
But it was a leading with the two mics that
-
gave out of all that she had for the Lord.
-
Some of us here could be new to church. When
-
our church first started, friends, pastors had to say no
-
to a lot of speaking engagement, no to a lot
-
of speaking engagement, just to grow the church, they said,
-
although there was so so after speaker, But if not
-
being around for church on a Sunday is very hard
-
to grow church, very hard to grow church, and passes it.
-
I'm so sorry that I got a church right now,
-
I can't take out any speaking engagement. And that's how
-
Passes have stayed in his livelihood through the speaking engagement
-
and first five seven years.
-
No cannot.
-
The church needs me. Painful as it sounds, we will
-
have to trust a lot painful and is friends, we
-
have to trust a lot. What have God's been speaking
-
to us? Friends, I've God's been speaking to you regarding obedience,
-
commitment and faith.
-
Point number two is now point. It is today's respond
-
their matters and not yesterday's to tomorrow. Now the end.
-
Now is today's response that matters, not yesterday or tomorrow.
-
Many Christian leave on yesterday's commitment. God, I have served
-
you before right sufficient. But God's asking now because in
-
Genesis chapter twenty two wards two, say is this that there?
-
He said, take now your son, not take yesterday, not
-
take tomorrow, Take now your son. Friends, our response today
-
really matters because now is your alive. We can make
-
a decision because we really don't know what tomorrow hosts.
-
But we cannot live in yesterday's commitment. Friends, Today we
-
always have a choice to response to the Lord. Today
-
we have opportunity to read the Bible. Would you read
-
today we have apportuned to turn our Bible. Will we
-
still turned to the word of the Lord, not to yesterday.
-
Yesterday we can spend what you're on Netflix, but today
-
you have a choice. You have a choice today, friends,
-
take now your son.
-
The power is in the responding immediately now. Always involves action.
-
You know, if you're growing up back in the eighties, friends,
-
we have internet and all we have was TV, which
-
between eight to night the day, that's where the TV
-
program is. That's where TV series like air Move will
-
come out. Okay, Expo to company a very young right,
-
you don't know, eighteen right right right right, night Rider
-
rite all those stuff the day and first the day,
-
that's when mom and dad will clean up the kitchen,
-
right and and and and and we set the kitchen
-
for the next day. Parents, somehow rather always know when
-
the council moment of the TV series is one they know,
-
and the council moment of every TV series they always
-
actually take on the trash. They're always as you take
-
out the trash, not during the ever spend time not
-
doing It's the time whereby the council moment, the excitement
-
is going to happen. The break to moment you just
-
want to wash because you build up the excitement already,
-
Sun take out the trash, same mom way for ever disponse.
-
Have you ever tell your parents away for every dispad
-
when you take it out? And you know what the
-
response is, isn't it when mom or dad says take
-
it out? It has to be done now? Now?
-
At what point if you delayed the woice get louder
-
true or not?
-
If you delay a bit more, not just the wise,
-
get loud the way, but the TV will be turned off?
-
Now involves action. Many times you make commitment to the
-
law without action. God, I will serve you if you
-
deliver me from this, I will serve you. Now always
-
involves action, friends, And many times in our journey we
-
don't put action.
-
To our commitment. We don't put.
-
Action to what we believe in, and we always live
-
in a place whereby our declaration is enough. Our Christian
-
faith is not just about declaration. Too many Christians live
-
on declaration. I mean you say that now before you
-
get baptized. Right, do you believe that Jesus Christ your
-
personal life savior? Yes, I do, on the form that
-
you feel Christian? But what does it really mean, is
-
this this sufficient that I see have Christian or the
-
form that we feel we can put our faith there.
-
There has to be more than it, because if we're
-
just living for decoration, ma'sel God gives us a lot
-
helo after we received jip Asla and Savior.
-
I'm a Christian right now?
-
You know, have you seen those car that picks up
-
a newspaper, all newspaper paper? I'm all right, then it
-
will be the other way. I am a Christian. I
-
accept Christ. We live by declaration, but not by demonstration.
-
And many times God wants us to demonstrate what we
-
believe in. We say we have faith. Where was last
-
that we demonstrate faith? You're still living? Right?
-
Okay? Still come back to excot the comaning.
-
Right. We have decoration, but no demonstration. Friends, and God
-
wants us to demonstrate our faith. Come on, we are
-
able body. We can demonstrate our faith. And that's why
-
we say that when you can't go. I know, the
-
oldest missionary I know was eighty something. I think he
-
went somewher Central Asia. The daughter was so afraid that
-
something happened to that, and sure enough she took all
-
the insurance and something did happen to that, and the
-
mission field is Central Asia. Just to organize the whole
-
thing for him to come back. She ran through the
-
whole book. But yet at eighty something, this man say
-
our use of Jesus ex Germany starting and Dorries are
-
in the sixties, late sixties or midi sixties or something,
-
said God.
-
There's no such we think as retirement.
-
I will still start the church for you if you're
-
asked to start some of us here, come on, majority
-
of us he are below sixties or even you are
-
their sixties. You don't even look like sixty. And we
-
can still serve the Lord of friends. Our faith is
-
more than just declaration. There must be demonstration. When was
-
the last time we say yes to God? When was
-
the last time we say yes to God? But although
-
you don't understand, I've been giving to the Lord. Please God,
-
We love people, are generous. But yet at the same
-
time God is speaking to us. Maybe you can serve
-
in another capacity as well. We we live in a
-
modern day whereby coming to church right now, it's an option.
-
There's there's live streaming and those who are watching lie
-
I'm not I'm not hitting out at you. But when
-
we when there's an opportunity to come to church.
-
When we come, we come to church, there's opportunity to
-
go to homes. Of Friday.
-
Now I know, I'm said Friday something traffic jam, different
-
job commitment, and said that all.
-
Right, But when you can, when you can, would your moment,
-
when you can.
-
The declaration, when you can be time, I say, passida,
-
I can make it for homes. I will be there
-
for hopes or that one Friday when your boss has
-
to do anything extra. Finally a unicorn Friday. But you
-
know you got homes, but their unicorn Friday is so precious,
-
so precious, And you finally realize I got time to
-
watch the pool.
-
And say pasadeniel bye, bye bye. Sorry. You have to
-
put it in right.
-
Too. Maybe by giving themselves reasons why they cannot act
-
on it now to maybe I'm giving themselves reasons why
-
they cannot act on it now. Psalms ninety five, verse seven.
-
The night for his is our God. Come on, and
-
we are the people of his pasture, the shape of
-
his hands today. If we hear his voice today, if
-
God's speaking to you today, if you know that God's
-
convicting your heart.
-
Do not come on.
-
Do you know what okay, ex got comaning, I just
-
need fifteen more minutes of your heart. Do not hawden
-
your hearts as in the rebellion, as the days of
-
trials of waderness. When your father tested me. They tried
-
me though they saw my work the tune of ISAs
-
your friends saw the move of God, saw God's provision,
-
God's delivers Yet at the same time, friends, when God
-
asked them to move and God asked to move, they
-
could not.
-
I'm the first generation Christian and family. I remember going
-
from my very.
-
First youth camp, five nights, four days in Sitiawan Pera.
-
I came back from kem all excited. All the words revived.
-
That's what CAM does to using it. You can were revived.
-
We want to serve the law. I remember. I came back, Oh, excited,
-
just want to do God's work. My mom pulls me up,
-
say don't you ever go to full time ministry. I
-
will beat you up. I will beat you up and
-
lo and behome. Fifteen or twenty years later, I decided
-
to answer the call. It was as simple as God.
-
If you can use anyone, whould you use me? And
-
the journey is always going to be these friends. Never easy, never,
-
never rosy never or the word is you can make
-
you can, you can plan up, plan A, B and C.
-
But with God, friends, the journey is always going to
-
be testing, testing, testing, And sometimes you hear the word
-
testing friends, you go like, how do we.
-
How do we act on it?
-
Now? By saying more yes to God? We keep saying
-
yes to God because our heart needs it. I'm going
-
to close it fifteen minutes. We keep saying yes to
-
God because our heart needs it. The more we say no,
-
it has to be hadden. The more we say no
-
to God, our hearts to be hardened. Can I be
-
very honest to you? EXK got the commaning. I'll had
-
this conversation I think with another elder. I was just
-
saying that, you know now, I mean my fifth I'm
-
closer to one more year to fifty, one more year
-
to fifty, praise hallelu jeah. One more year to fifty,
-
and I'm thirty thirty to four years to leave right,
-
one more year to fifty. I was just talking to them,
-
you know now of this age, so gring I never
-
understood why parents.
-
Parents are warm.
-
Christian parents are little warm, not interested But now when
-
I see my contemporary people of my age who are
-
parents and who takes church as not like just another
-
event on the Sunday, I begin to understand why why
-
sometimes the children will come up. But why When I
-
was young, I never understood it. Yeah, your parents are Christian, Yeah,
-
but not weally don't fire you. Could you imagine, yeah,
-
my parents really don't fire you right. Never understood it. Now,
-
being older, I finally understood why. It's the choices that
-
we make. It's not because it's a choice that make
-
The more we say no, cannot As I close, I
-
don't think I can build the fisher slides. The more
-
we use the term let me pray about it, let
-
me think about it. The more we say that this
-
is not my gifting. More put, your hearts becomes hardened
-
in due time, becomes hardened in due time where nothing
-
excites us anymore? Why you say ex sexist in serving back? Then,
-
the more know we say doesn't really expects us. I'm
-
not sure where you are with your journey. As I
-
close right now, I don't think I can finish the point.
-
The more know we say, cannot mintion who is here?
-
I remember one time he was sharing this. He first
-
came to our children and he was a campus student.
-
And this statement.
-
You always remember this say that, you know, we say
-
just jump and worry about it about it later because
-
we've God. It's never about one hundred percent plan X
-
go to company. Just want to let you know when
-
when we started renovating this place, we did we only
-
have one of one fourth of the money something I
-
had for this place. But we knew that God calls
-
us here and whoever got called this, he was supplied
-
for our needs surely, but late never late on time
-
dealing with the management here. The old GM left, you know,
-
new GYM took over. Then after there was something about
-
the old GM was supposed to update the management but
-
didn't anyway, Just to cut the long story short, the
-
ship the test me we all that was they say that, hey,
-
you there was a wave of renter for the first
-
four months because of the extent of renovation permits and
-
stuff like that, but there wasn't captured by the management.
-
So they gave us a statement of cows and know
-
the late interest payment and stuff like that.
-
So we just explained to that, I say, hey, this
-
is this is the.
-
Conversation I had with there, you know, the management dishornor
-
whatever the previous GM did, because we really don't know
-
what's happening is out there. So it's been protective for
-
almost like half a year, be writing to them stuff that.
-
So we still met the assistant GM over here show
-
the place.
-
She was like, wow, you.
-
Guys really turn this place around. So yeah, the church
-
me here on Sunday. We have a blue room on
-
the other side.
-
Stuff.
-
That very amazing what we do as a church. I
-
don't see any cross here. I say, we don't always
-
need to put a cross and know that we are
-
Christian by what we do you should know. But how
-
do you sustain all this? She's a Critians. I say,
-
all these years of twenty five years of doing church,
-
God will always come to for us. We just have
-
to say, yes, start the blue room. But where are
-
the people coming? Why white got to company? You want
-
to start a ministry for of all places you think
-
about it, right, think about it? Why go to communing?
-
Why not something more densely populated? Right?
-
God causes here, He will come to for us, and
-
he'll make away. Cat shot.
-
Just receive a text, Hey all your outstting it's going
-
to be zero rized, and you know, measure then all
-
the previous thing because you really don't know what's happening.
-
And we surrender to the lost. Say lord, if this
-
is yours, then you're sharing by way. And just let
-
you know right that the tree you see outside, you're
-
gonna see a huge figuring in the coming days. I
-
heard there's gonna be a big king cong they could
-
put outside there. I say, why would you do? Okay,
-
please make sure the king comes not at this level, Okay,
-
because I don't want to see the king koons bum
-
bum Right. Anyway, we had a good laugh, right, But
-
I just want to share this you only because the
-
more the more we keep saying no, you'll never fully
-
understand what.
-
God can do to you and for you.
-
I'm not sure where you are with your journeys like
-
Closer and White Pasaden. You're up on stage, young man.
-
Oh I wrote down just now. I honestly I was
-
in tears this starting worship. I just wrote down this statement.
-
If we knew how long that we have come on church,
-
if we knew how long they we have, how long
-
that we have in life, with the knowledge, how would
-
it change your life. If we knew how long they
-
we have, how would it change your life? How will
-
we change your outlaw of life? Because many times we
-
think very far, but if we knew how long that
-
we have, how would we change your life? Would you
-
allow God more into your life? Because by saying having
-
a relationship with God, God brings you to a journey.
-
That journey friends, to us, it's the journey. But God
-
knows what he wants to do in our life. That's
-
why he always brings us to a test. Even the
-
blessing that we have from the Lord will always go
-
to the test. Maybe you're looking a dolls, pray for
-
a good job, well paying job, and the job fram
-
you're always going to be your test because when God
-
calls you and speaks to you and asks you not
-
just about money, about tithing, but ask you to serve.
-
Would you go for missions? But God, cand you said,
-
I'm giving a ready. Friends, the test wasn't in the giving.
-
The test wasn't about just bringing Isaac. The test is
-
about offering up Isaac and the author at too many
-
Christians I know just bring Isaac along in their journey,
-
but never offering up How would you change our life?
-
We know how long we have. Because I'm with the
-
knowledge fairs, I can guarantee all of us here. If
-
we know how long we have, all decision will be
-
very different, very different.
-
I just give you a.
-
Point test now. And finally, Isaac is about worship. At
-
the end of the day, are we worshiping the Isaacs
-
in our life? Or are we worshiping the Lord? Are
-
we worshiping the Isaac in the life? Are we worshiping
-
the Lord?
-
God is not about God doesn't need our Isaac.
-
He just needs our hearts as a close her friends,
-
my heart just goes off for love of us here.
-
Who almost as a worship breakthrough.
-
But we keep saying no to God, saying God, maybe
-
some another day, maybe tomorrow.
-
You know that God's been speaking to.
-
Your heart for the loveless time, not mere watching online.
-
God's been speaking to you as well for the longest time.
-
God's been nudging you know what you need to do
-
with friends. But the rest is not with the church.
-
It's with the Lord.
-
Some of us here you know that you need to
-
forgive and let go and move on. The powers in today, friends,
-
the powers in the now. That's why the Bible says
-
that this is the day the law has meant. Let's
-
rejoice and be glatting it too many of us here.
-
I have the mindself yesterday, bitterness hurt anger. That's why
-
I couldn't rejoice, couldn't see a brick shoe, couldn't enjoy today.
-
Some of us having a mindself for tomorrow. Yeah, you
-
make plans, but I'll start tomorrow. I'll make plans, I'll
-
start tomorrow. I'll start later. I'll start another time. But now, friends,
-
if you hear his voice now, friends, would you live
-
your life differently?
-
As I close, I just want to encourage the church here, friends,
-
one encourage you really trust the Lord.
-
We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
