  1. You're listening to a message to go from at church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. I wanted to start off by by showing you this

  4. little clip, but maybe can I see a show of hands.

  5. How many of you know of this very pretty girl

  6. called Molly?

  7. Right?

  8. Okay, so x dby, can you help me show the

  9. slide the second slide? I believe? Yeah, pretty right? Oh

  10. we're pretty girl. And anyone have you have heard? Okay?

  11. Those who Eleen and my I give your okay, four

  12. of them. No, the rest of us probably never heard

  13. of her before. Right now, this is her in three

  14. years ago, three years ago, and she is seven years old,

  15. giving her very first ted talk Take it away.

  16. What if I was to tell you very time of

  17. peakable could change the world. Thanks the scientist, we now

  18. know just how important the first five years are for

  19. our health and development, especially our brains are healthy. Development

  20. depends on these top five things one connecting, two, talking, three, playing, four,

  21. a healthy home five community. All of this helps our

  22. brains and does reach our for potential. So what's something

  23. you can do that can really make a difference? Scientists

  24. call it serve and return. That's just the grown up

  25. way of saying, each time you talk to us, play

  26. with us, make us laugh. It not only builds and

  27. strengthens our relationships and mental health, it actually teaches us

  28. some of the most important life skills. Imagine the difference

  29. we could make if everyone everywhere did this.

  30. All right, can I get some reactions from the floor?

  31. What did you think of this video? Awesome? Very inspiring?

  32. What else? Guilty? I heard that? Guilty? Guilty of what? Why? Guilty? Albert? Depressing?

  33. Are you? You want to share a little bit? Let's

  34. do be a counseling for Albert? Now? Why why is

  35. so depressa? Oh? Why am I kid ant like that? Okay?

  36. This is such an Asian parent? Okay, Asian parent? Why

  37. am I kid at like that? Okay? Okay? Of course

  38. when I first saw this video a few weeks ago,

  39. I was so impressed, blown away. So take it up.

  40. This is her at seven years old, seven years old,

  41. and now she's ten years old. What a life ahead

  42. of her? Right now? If I ask you, any of

  43. the teens here, let me look at this gentleman, this row,

  44. gentleman here with your day? Huh? Bubbay boy? Is it?

  45. How old are you? Bobby boy? Thirteen years old. Okay,

  46. would you be able to come up here and you

  47. don't share a five minute story? Okay? Well, very our

  48. young generation very brave, right, whow, very good, very good.

  49. Now I want to go to the adults adoubts. How

  50. many of you would dare to do what she did? No,

  51. I say no, But then you want your kid to

  52. do it? La. You don't want to do it, but

  53. you want your kid to do it?

  54. Lah.

  55. Okay, Okay, now the thing is right, Okay. I just

  56. wanted to get us into thinking about the fears that

  57. we have in life. Right, many of us carry fears.

  58. And one of the common fears that all of us have,

  59. and this is regardless whether you're American, Australian, Chinese, Indian,

  60. Malaysian is fear of public speaking. Correct, true, true. Yeah,

  61. it's not easy to come out here and to be

  62. able to present you know something. And you know, she

  63. was actually speaking about connecting with children. So she's a

  64. child herself. She's seven years old, and she's telling the

  65. whole world. She's telling parents like, hey, guys, you got

  66. to connect with us, you gotta play pick up with us,

  67. you gotta say hi, you know, and engage with us

  68. talking and that's why she said serve and return, right,

  69. So so there is a connection. There's like a ping

  70. pong thing happening right between interactions between humans. And what

  71. you were recognized is that more and more, more and more,

  72. And that's why we can be in the place. But

  73. we can leave that place without having known anyone true

  74. or not true. Church every Sunday, same thing. Eh, you

  75. can come in, you can go away and then not

  76. having connected with someone. And she's saying, as a little girl,

  77. why she can do what she did was because her

  78. parents made time for her. Her parents invested in her

  79. just by playing pickaboo, just by playing. And that's what

  80. you know why we have timmy Right, It's just a

  81. place to connect because we are living in such a

  82. disconnected world. Correct. You know we can be on all

  83. the social media and all of that, you know what's

  84. exactly what's happening, but no one knows you and you

  85. don't know anyone. Can I just oh, yoh, this seta

  86. Can I just say that whatever that you see on

  87. social media? Can I just tell you that that's probably

  88. like ten percent of their life? Yeah, and don't be

  89. full into thinking wha I wish I can have their live,

  90. you know, every time go for a holiday, every time drink.

  91. I don't know what you'll like to drink nowadays, right,

  92. And we think that that is the real life, but

  93. actually there's the ninety five percent of their life of

  94. reality of the days when the hair is not so nice,

  95. the day when there is no makeup, right, And that's

  96. real reality. And so sometimes we need to pause. And

  97. that's why become the church. We come to church to

  98. pause our busy lives, to say, Okay, God, can you

  99. help me connect back to you? And that's why we

  100. plead everyone, if you're a believer of Jesus Christ, if

  101. you're a follow of Jesus Christ, never neglect the meeting

  102. of together this way because this is what stirs our faith.

  103. Do you know, right, what's the business? Okay, if we

  104. are running a business, what is the church business? Sorry? People, yes, correct?

  105. But what else are we selling? What is the church selling? Guys? Life?

  106. Jesus so hope, excellent, well done. So we are in

  107. the And I always remember this. I heard pastor cannot

  108. mention this right, and he says, right, if anything else,

  109. can you please remember that the church is about the business.

  110. Of faith. That means every time you come together like this,

  111. a fellowship of believers, you will be stirred up in

  112. your faith. Amen. Don't think about anything else. Okay, don't

  113. think about oh what is the angle? Is it? Is

  114. it more community outreach? Is it more giving? But it's

  115. all about having more faith. So you think about it.

  116. Every time you come to church, is your faith being challenged?

  117. Is your faith being stirred up more and more every Sunday?

  118. If it's not, then the church has failed you. Okay, Wow,

  119. that's addlest. But don't say exta communing. You're doing well? Okay,

  120. I'm sure every time you come here you're being challenged

  121. in your faith. And that's what it's all about right now.

  122. The opposite of faith is, of course, fear. True not

  123. because what we can do in faith by faith and

  124. what stops us from going forward is fear. And fear

  125. is something that is very really in all our lives,

  126. right And I mentioned this earlier to the earlier service.

  127. Who are some of the Bible heroes that you know?

  128. Come on, tell me who's your favorite character in the Bible?

  129. Joe?

  130. Wow, streaming Joe? Who's this young man you're going through

  131. a lot of life, hard life, now, right, that's how

  132. you can resonate with Joe. Okay, did you think that

  133. Joe was a man who had fears in his life? Yeah? Sure, okay,

  134. he was a man, right, He struggled, he wrestled with God.

  135. Thank you for that. Any other Bible characters, your favorite

  136. Bible characters anymore? Anymore? Daniel Daniel is what'ster Daniel? By

  137. the way, gone gone, gone with the wind. You need

  138. to recharge. Yeah, Daniel Daniel was a man. I mean,

  139. we love Daniel, right. He was a man who did

  140. great exploits, you know, all the things that he did.

  141. But did you see any part of his life where

  142. he was fearful? I'm sure. I'm sure before he could

  143. go into the lions that he's like, oh my goodness,

  144. you know what's happening here? And so different by every

  145. character that you can see in the Word of God,

  146. there were men. They were men and women like you

  147. and me, And so we recognize that fear is very real.

  148. Any one of you who say that I don't have

  149. any fears in your life, you're lying to me or

  150. you're lying to the Holy Spirit, because we all have fears. Right,

  151. But so what is what happens when we are caught

  152. in fear? What is your reaction? What is your reaction

  153. when you're caught in fear? Do you know there's a

  154. psychological response right when you encounter a threat, something that's

  155. threatening you, what's your normal reaction? Yeah, fight or flight? Right,

  156. so you either you fight or you fly away? All right?

  157. How I must tell a story because Poseidenia's not here. Yes,

  158. So we were having our SPO retreat. I don't know

  159. if you know this story, you know, And so we

  160. were walking walking just along the streets of KL. Okay,

  161. if you're walked along the streets of KL. He's like no, no,

  162. And so suddenly there was a squill. I heard a

  163. squill and a jump quite a high jump, right, and

  164. it was like that really like that. And then we

  165. found out that one of our passes is so scared

  166. of rats because there was a date red right, so

  167. the reaction of and then it happened one more time

  168. because there was another day, so that we're walking along

  169. the streets of KL. It was so funny, la, I mean,

  170. we we will remember that for a long time. But

  171. you see the things, right, when when we have fear

  172. in our lives. It's something that threatens us. We either fly,

  173. we fly, you know, we go away from it, or

  174. we fight. Some of us will fight, you know. I

  175. don't know how many of you. If you there was

  176. a rage, you know, an in just situation, you will whah.

  177. I want to make it right. I don't know some

  178. of us react that way. But do you know that

  179. there's another reaction when we are fearful, and that's freeze? Yes.

  180. Do you know some people when they are put on stage,

  181. they you know, they straight away like dry, everything dries up.

  182. Your tongue is sticking to the roof of your mouth,

  183. and you're like, oh my gosh, I'm so and you

  184. forget everything. You go blank. Have you had your experience

  185. at you go blank? You don't know what to say. Yeah,

  186. that's that's the reaction of fear. Write everything about you

  187. just kind of like freeze. Okay, so that's some of

  188. our reaction and and the things right. Maybe I'll share

  189. a little bit about my own journey growing up. Actually

  190. I don't like doing this one. Yeah, I know. So

  191. growing up I was a very shy child, very shy child,

  192. very awkward, very awkward, and very timid. And I remember

  193. this incident once when I was I think about eleven

  194. or twelve years old. We were going grocery shopping right

  195. with my parents, and so they they of course they

  196. bought stuff, right, And so one of the things I say,

  197. I will carry everything except that one back. What is

  198. that one back that I refuse to carry no matter

  199. what oilet paper? I you know, it's like, but why

  200. was I so fearful to even carry them? Because it

  201. was associated with something that's like shame, and and you know,

  202. it's like, oh, it's so not cool to be carrying

  203. doll but guys, you know carry toller people walking around, right? Uh?

  204. And and I that that became like a mark in

  205. my memory. I don't know why. I don't know why,

  206. but that refusal and that fear of like what if

  207. someone saw me carrying toilert people? Right, U if people

  208. for a long time on my life? And and but

  209. the thing is right, we we don't stop there. Right

  210. as human beings, we grow, correct, we continue to grow

  211. in faith. And that's true also of our Christian faith.

  212. And I recognize right that this morning, wherever you are

  213. in your faith, we can start off being timid. We

  214. can start off being very shy, very awkward with our faith.

  215. But can I tell you that as you move further

  216. with the Lord, as you grow in the Lord, right,

  217. he will give you that bondness and that courage. Amen. Amen, Amen, Amen. Yes,

  218. we want to grow in our bondness, and so I

  219. want to share this with you. Right. This is taken

  220. from Second Timothy chapter one, Versus seven to eight. Second

  221. Timothy Chapter one, Versus seven to eight. Can we read

  222. this together? You're ready one to treat? For God has

  223. not given us a spirit of fear, but of power

  224. and of love and of a sound mind. Therefore, do

  225. not be a shame of the testimony of our Lord,

  226. not of me his prisoner. But share with me in

  227. the sufferings for the Gospel according to the power of God. Amen. Amen.

  228. Can you take this as your verse? Say I receive

  229. this word, Oh Lord, this morning. This word is for me.

  230. Say tell your neighbors, for you tell your other neighbor

  231. is for me. Because I think for too long we

  232. have been walking as Christians who are fearful. There's so

  233. much things that stops us from doing what God wants

  234. us to do. Right, And let's be reminded again that

  235. God says, I have not given you the spirit of fear. Yes,

  236. it's there, but I want to give you something else.

  237. I want to give you power. Turn to your neighbor

  238. and say, dunamus. Do you know what dunamis is? Don't know?

  239. All right? So dunamis is the Greek word for power,

  240. and do not miss. Do you know the word dynamal?

  241. Do you know the word dynamite? All right? When you

  242. try a dynamite someone, what happens? Explode? Power, power, might, right, strength, ability,

  243. That's what power means. Do you want more of God's

  244. power in your life? Amen? I think we all do.

  245. We recognize that without God it's impossible to do anything.

  246. Without God. I will not be here preaching to you

  247. on God's word. And it's because I recognize that it

  248. is God who's working in me and tru me, and

  249. I pray one day all of you wouldn't have an

  250. opportunity to share God or witch on whichever platform. Amen.

  251. It doesn't have to be this platform. It doesn't have

  252. to be in front of a church. It could just

  253. be you having a conversation with your best friend. True,

  254. not church. That is your platform. That's your platform when

  255. you need God's dunamis, because without God's tsunamis, you'll be

  256. talking about the weather, what to eat for lunch, your color,

  257. your hair color, your make up. Yeah, without God's power,

  258. that's where our conversation can go. But with God's power,

  259. then you will receive power to speak about the truth

  260. of God. And that's what we lack church, if I

  261. can be very honest with you, that is what we

  262. are likeing. It's not that we lack the vision. I

  263. think we all know what to do, right, correct, No,

  264. all of you. You are smart enough. You know it's

  265. simple enough. God has given us the commandment, go and

  266. make disciples of all the nations. Go ahead and make disciples.

  267. And yet why is it that in our lives we

  268. don't see that happening? And I recognize it's because we

  269. lack that power on our own, On each of us

  270. on our own, we won't be able to move. Okay,

  271. So I want to go into the Book of Acts

  272. and let's see how the early Church disciples did this

  273. all right, now, I asked you this question. Do you

  274. think that the early disciples they were very brave people? Hey, Noah,

  275. I thought they were the most brilliant people from the

  276. University of Jerusalem. No, what were they fisher man, Yeah,

  277. fisher man, University of Fishing. Right, So these were the men.

  278. And do you know that every stage of their life

  279. do you know that Jesus at the cross, Jesus has

  280. spent how many years with them? Three years? Three years? Okay,

  281. three years? Wow? You think about it. If you had

  282. personal Internet time with Jesus, or you slept with him,

  283. you walk with him, you d with him three years,

  284. do you think that you'll be like, why, I know

  285. I am so full of God's power? Yes? Actually no?

  286. And you recognize that even though you've been with Jesus,

  287. you can still be fearful, you can still be powerless,

  288. you can still doubt. Because I was reading again the gospels, right,

  289. and of every gospel Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, it

  290. seemed that even though Jesus appeared to him, to them

  291. again after resurrected, you know, some of them doubt it

  292. his own disciples, so many of us, right, we will

  293. probably go through our journey and even though you have

  294. been in church for twenty five years, that could still

  295. be doubt. Why? Right? And when we have doubt, we

  296. will not be able to move forward. But let's go

  297. to and so you know that these were a bunch

  298. of you know, uneducated men who didn't know a lot,

  299. but they knew God, all right. So now let's go

  300. to X chapter two. Now we want to think about, Yes,

  301. there are fears in our lives, but what is the

  302. thing that can help us overcome our fears? Okay, so

  303. then let's notice some of these things. Let's read X

  304. chapter two Versus one to four. So I don't know

  305. whether XTV has it on the screen. Okay, shall we

  306. read together God's wor Radia one to treat. When the

  307. day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with

  308. one accord in one place, and suddenly there came a

  309. sound from heaven as of a rushing, mighty wind, and

  310. it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then

  311. there appeared to them divided tongues as of fire, and

  312. one set upon each of them, and they were all

  313. filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with

  314. each other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance A

  315. man Amen. And this is what it means by Jesus saying,

  316. remember in ect chapter one, verse eight, and you shall

  317. receive power and you shall receive power. And who is

  318. this power? The Holy Spirit. And even as I'm preaching

  319. to you right now, right, I recognize that the reason

  320. why there is no power in my life are those

  321. moments when I have not been filled with the Holy Spirit.

  322. Do you know it's possible to be unfiled Christians, unfeeled

  323. by the Holy Spirit. You can walk through your life,

  324. you can attend church, you can give all your tithes

  325. and offerings, you can go for all the mission trip,

  326. but not be filled with the Holy Spirit. Yes, very possible,

  327. because everything else is you can do on your own strength. True,

  328. you can do everything else. But what is the one

  329. thing that we need as we are called to witness

  330. is the Holy Spirit. And that's why the Holy Spirit

  331. was given to us. All right, So that's what we

  332. want to understand now. There are three key ingredients to

  333. Christian boldness. Okay, do you want to be both? For Jesus? Yes,

  334. I love it. I love your conviction. I love that

  335. you are ready to say yes, you know. And I

  336. recognize again that it's not because we don't know what

  337. the mission is. It's because there is no boldness in

  338. our lives. And as I'm learning and this is for me,

  339. and so as I'm preaching to you, I'm preaching to

  340. myself and my God God. The first one that needs

  341. baldness is me, because I'm very scary, kid. I'm afraid.

  342. I'm afraid of what people think about me. I'm afraid

  343. of you know, what if they don't respond? Right? That's

  344. what our fears are. What if I share and then

  345. the person laugh at me? What if I'm not making sense?

  346. What if I quote scripture wrongly? These are all our fears.

  347. And I recognize, first of all, Lord, I think I

  348. want more of your boldness. I want more of your

  349. spirit than ever before. Amen. So what are the three

  350. Greek key ingredients? The first one is we must firstly

  351. have conviction through the word of God. Amen. Without having

  352. the conviction of the Word of God, we will not

  353. go out in boldness. I will tell you that for sure,

  354. for sure, we will not be able to act when

  355. we need to act. All right, So there needs to

  356. be a conviction of the Word. Now let's go to

  357. you know, so we painted we agree, right? We agree?

  358. Before this, before the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples,

  359. there were a bunch of scared men correct. There were

  360. a bunch of men who deserted Jesus, who left him

  361. when he was at the cross, who doubted Jesus even

  362. when he appeared. I don't know which category you're at.

  363. It could be all, because many of us have been

  364. at one point or another in that category. But what

  365. is the difference now? What is the difference now that

  366. after the Holy Spirit came? And let's look at this man. Now,

  367. let's go to act chapter four, verse thirteen. Are you there? X?

  368. Chapter four, verse thirteen. Now, let me give you a

  369. bit of context right before this. What's happening? So X

  370. chapter one, ACTUAPT the two You know that? Okay, So

  371. let let's back try on, back track, back track X

  372. chapter one. They were filled with the Holy Spirit. Amen,

  373. full of the Holy Spirit. And they begin to speak

  374. out in tongues. And by the way, do you know

  375. where this happened? Can I give your Bible trivia quiz?

  376. Where were the disciples when the Holy Spirit fell on

  377. them on Pentecosts? Upper room? Upper room? Yes? Agreed? Wrong?

  378. Read your Bible carefully? Hah this one? Okay? No? No, no, okay, no,

  379. no that they are wrong. Of course, many of us

  380. think right, that the Pentacosts happened when they were they

  381. were praying, correct ext. Chapter one. They were praying in

  382. the upper room, one hundred and twenty of them, correct.

  383. And guess what that's all the maximum of one hundred

  384. and twenty people that can fit like here, like here la,

  385. like excut comunila. How many can fit in these bleachers?

  386. One twenty? Yeah, but one twenty. Right, So they were praying,

  387. and but what happened was the day of Pentecost came,

  388. so that means they were not in the Upper room

  389. that time. What do Jewish people do on the day

  390. of Pentecost? They go to the temple, all right, and

  391. so they were actually at the temple grounds. Does it

  392. makes sense? Because I always wondered, right, if they were

  393. at the upper room, how did the multitudes come around? You? You

  394. read x Chapter two, verse six, because when they prayed

  395. and the Holy Spirit there was a sound of true

  396. rushing wind, right, it came and then there was this

  397. multitude war in chapters two, verse six. And when this

  398. sound occurred, the multitude came together and were confused because

  399. everyone heard them speak in his own language. Can you

  400. see the connection? Now? Was it possible for them to

  401. still be in the upper room. And then there was

  402. this multitude that came no. Right, So the better how

  403. you could think about it is they were actually on

  404. that day in that temple they were praying. Of course

  405. you would say what about the because it says, right,

  406. it feels the whole house where they were sitting. Do

  407. you see that? That's why we thought it was in

  408. the room, right. Actually, when the Jewish people think about house,

  409. they're thinking about the house of God. So this is

  410. the house of God. They were at the temple. They

  411. were at the House of God. Yes, correct, not in

  412. that small upper room. And so they were there, and

  413. then the multitudes came. Right, they heard each one pray

  414. God in their own language. How can that mal right?

  415. Cantonese English, some of your English? Yeare I know? Because

  416. that's the only language you know how to speak, right,

  417. And they heard God in all their languages, their mother tongues,

  418. and they were praising God. And this says, what manner

  419. is this? Are you crazy? Are you drunk this morning?

  420. And then of course Peter was the one who bully said,

  421. men ah, no, Peter, right, man, it's only nine o'clock

  422. in the morning. We haven't drank yet, but we drank

  423. the Holy Spirit, different kind of spirit. And this is

  424. what it says, right, And this is what I want

  425. to read. This is chapter two, verse sixty. Are you there, Yeah,

  426. Chapter two, verse sixty, let's read it says, but this

  427. is what was spoken by the prophet Joel. So this

  428. is now Peter trying to tell the whole crowd. They're

  429. in the temple, guys, these are Jewish people in the temple.

  430. There was a multitude coming to them. And he says,

  431. this what was prophesied by Joel. And it shall come

  432. to pass in the last day, says God, that I

  433. will pour out my spirit on all flesh. Your sons

  434. and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions,

  435. your old men shall dream dreams, and on my men's

  436. servants and on my maid servants. Thank you God for

  437. being fair to all gender. I will pour out my

  438. spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy. I will

  439. show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth.

  440. Beneath blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun

  441. shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood.

  442. Before the coming of the great and awesome Day. Of

  443. the Lord, and she shall come to pass that whoever

  444. calls on the name of the Lord shall be Amen.

  445. So this is what Peter spoke to the crowd, and

  446. you know what happened. Do you know what happened after that.

  447. Let's go to verse thirty seven. After he spoke all

  448. these things boldly, right in verse thirty seven, he says,

  449. now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart.

  450. These are Jewish men in the tempo Yah. They were

  451. cut to the heart and said to Peter and the

  452. rest of the apostles, men and brethren brothers, what shall

  453. we do? And Peter said to them, repent, and let

  454. every one of you be baptized in the name of

  455. Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall

  456. receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

  457. Amen.

  458. Amen. How powerful. Sometimes we don't read the whole word

  459. of God right, and we recognize that this is what

  460. was needed. And I wanted to go to this in

  461. xt chapter four. Then we move on, right, we move on.

  462. So so this is suddenly a fisherman or fisherman suddenly

  463. stand in front of the temple, in front of all

  464. the people. And you know that three thousand turned to

  465. Jesus that day. That's how the three thousand could happen.

  466. It must have been in the temple situation, not in

  467. the upper room. Right. And so he said, wow, you

  468. know these, but you see her. You see there will

  469. always be the Pharisees and the scribes and they will say, wow,

  470. what is this? You know? Who are you unlearned? Right?

  471. And let's go to X chapter four, verse thirteen. Now

  472. this is talking about the Pharisees and the scribes. They say, Now,

  473. when they saw the baldness, can you say bondness? Bondess?

  474. You want bonness? Right? When they saw the boness of

  475. Peter and John and perceive that they were uneducated and

  476. untrained men, they marveled and they realize that they had

  477. been with Jesus. Can I tell you church that you

  478. don't have to have a bubble degree. You don't have

  479. to go for ten years or ten weeks of seminar

  480. on the Gospel of God. You just need to be

  481. with Jesus. My question to you this morning, have you

  482. been with Jesus? When was the last time? Don't tell

  483. me last week, last Sunday. Okay, every time you come

  484. through church, that's when you have been with Jesus. But

  485. can I tell you that being with Jesus, being with

  486. the Word of God isn't everyday thing? Yes, amen, is

  487. an everyday thing. We cannot think that we can be

  488. filled with the Holy Spirit and with God's power without

  489. spending time with Jesus. It's an easy equation, guys. It's

  490. not gonna be like, oh, I want to do that

  491. great miracle. But you have not even spend time with God.

  492. You have not even read his word. When was the

  493. last time you read God's word? That personal devotion? Right? So,

  494. so the thing is right that the Holy Spirit comes

  495. when we are ready, when when we prepare our hearts.

  496. And I realize the days that I'm very busy right

  497. trying to get things done for God's work. I can

  498. be very busy doing church thing. But if I had

  499. not prepared my heart, then I don't allow the Holy

  500. Spirit to enter. Did you see that? And that means

  501. that I can be doing everything? No do these do that?

  502. Do that, preach, minister, counsel, pray, but without power? Do

  503. you see that? What a waste? Right? What a way

  504. to be doing all of that? And then you profit

  505. so little because without God's power you can only profit

  506. so little. It is god power that enables us to

  507. see that one multiple multiply into the thousands. It is

  508. only God's power that can cause growth. Do you know

  509. you want to convict someone of a truth? Right, you

  510. can all until the cows come home. The person will

  511. not be changed. But if you had come and you

  512. have prepared yourself, do you know that? That's why we

  513. see preparation is key to worship. Before the guys came

  514. up here to play and sing, they were preparing for

  515. us at home, because worship begins at home. Yeah, before

  516. you can offer something to God, You're like, I'm here.

  517. You know, I'm going to Timbaktu, I'm going to Netba,

  518. spend five thousand ring it right to minister to the people.

  519. But if you had not prepared your heart, it would

  520. have been a waste because with one word, one word

  521. of truth, that God, that Holy Spirit speaks to you

  522. at that very moment, you could have released that person.

  523. Do you see that? Do you see how how much

  524. we need the Holy Spirit? When was the last time

  525. you spoke to the Holy Spirit? Do you know the

  526. Holy Spirit is a person, It's not some wishy washy

  527. feeling kind of thing. He's a person. And so you know,

  528. when I learn this truth that the Holy Spirit is

  529. a person, I say good morning every time I wake up.

  530. Good morning, God the Father, good morning, Jesus, Good morning

  531. Holy Spirit. I need to recognize and I need to

  532. give him a place so that he can work in

  533. my life. Amen. So we've got to be convicted by

  534. the word of God. We gotta know. You know that

  535. Jesus himself saying, don't go anywhere until the Holy Spirit come.

  536. Are you all guys? Then why we go here, go there,

  537. go there everywhere? Without the Holy Spirit? It would have

  538. rendered all our work ineffective. Right, or we could be

  539. doing things and we could be achieving material wally gains,

  540. but without a gain in the Kingdom of God. Amen.

  541. So conviction of the word have you? And you know

  542. that the word is Jesus. Right, You got to have

  543. a fresh revelation, a fresh conviction of who Jesus is.

  544. And it's not just about you doing a checklist. Oil today,

  545. I read my bibleary d oil today, I go to cheaturity.

  546. It's not that it's a personal relationship. It's like, have

  547. I been with Jesus? You know? I know yesterday. Yesterday

  548. some of the teens, right, I had spend time with

  549. Pasadeniel and Rachelle. Thank you for hosting them, housing them,

  550. feeding them. But because they spend time with them, now

  551. they can catch a little bit more of their heart.

  552. Do you see that? Without that, right, Parsidonia and rachel

  553. will be like, hey, teens, you're going to do this,

  554. You're going to do this, do that, do that. But

  555. without having spend time and personal time, without that intimacy,

  556. they would not really know where they're coming from. Right.

  557. It's the same thing with our relationship with God. Until

  558. we can come to a place where it says, I

  559. want to be interred with you, Jesus, I want to

  560. know you. I want to just be in your presence.

  561. It's not about doing a checklist, guys, It's really not

  562. about that. It's about saying that the checklist is there

  563. to help. That's it. But you don't want the checklist.

  564. You want Jesus, right, you want to be in his presence.

  565. So I want to challenge us, right, can we before

  566. we ask for bonus? Can we just say God, I

  567. want to be with you more than anything else, more

  568. than I want to see soul safe I want you first. Amen,

  569. we want Jesus first before anything else. So the first

  570. thing to have conviction your hearts is to to to

  571. ask God for you to be real, to go to

  572. Him to make time. I know time is is shot

  573. for everyone. We all have twenty four hours. But in

  574. that twenty four hours, what do you choose? It's a choice.

  575. I think we cannot give the excuse anymore. I got

  576. no more time. I will ask you back, what are

  577. you doing with the time that is given to you? True?

  578. Not don't say you don't have time, but what are

  579. you doing with that time? And what you spend your

  580. time on is what tells me was important for you.

  581. And here we are, we're saying God, we want to

  582. do great things for you, but we put you last.

  583. We don't spend time with you. Right. Can I say

  584. that anything that you want to do for God, you

  585. go to God first, be filled with Him first? Right?

  586. Which is my second point? So it's you. You gotta

  587. come from a place of confidence in the spirit. You know,

  588. the boldness that people have right in preaching God. What

  589. Peter showed, what the disciple show, it was not confidence

  590. that they were so all well trained, they had all

  591. the degree, master's degree, doctorate. It was not. Their confidence

  592. came from being with Jesus. I know Jesus, and Jesus said,

  593. I will give you the Holy Spirit. Now I will

  594. receive that Holy Spirit. It's because it came from a

  595. time of believing in Jesus. So now everything that Jesus says,

  596. I believe, Everything that Jesus wants to give I received.

  597. Correct Otherwise you'll be like, oh, yeah, what Jesus is

  598. saying now, because you know who introduced the Holy Spirit,

  599. It's Jesus. So if Jesus says holy spirit is what

  600. we need, how come we don't desire more of the

  601. Holy Spirit? Right? We gotta have more confidence in the

  602. Holy Spirit. And and so do you know? Every and

  603. and I'm gonna bring us to this part right where

  604. firstly we have conviction through the word of God. Right,

  605. this this is the if you say I don't know

  606. how to spend time God, can I say reading God's

  607. Word is the best way to spend time with God? Okay?

  608. Are we gonna drill this unto you until you make

  609. it to say God every day? Do you know? Okay?

  610. So this is my personal conviction for me? All right?

  611. When I wanted to be serious with God, and I

  612. know all of you want to be serious with God.

  613. I told myself this that God, the first things that

  614. I will put into my eyes every morning before I

  615. open my phone is your word before anything else. This

  616. is my personal conviction. I say God before anything, as

  617. any other thoughts feel my mind. I want to be

  618. filled with your mind. I want to be feeled with

  619. your thoughts because anything else will give you life or not.

  620. Nothing else will give you life except this. So why

  621. are we feeling ourselves with death when we should be

  622. feeling ourselves with life first thing in morning? Right? It's

  623. like you know, every time I read the news or

  624. TikTok messages that comes from shore, I get depressed with

  625. you and shure, I'm firm because God, what haven't done yet? La?

  626. This one chasing me for this? And con why not

  627. accepts the life out of you? So I told myself,

  628. why do I put myself through this? I would just

  629. charge it lave. I will refuse to even look at

  630. it until I go to God and say, God, what

  631. is it that you want to speak to me? I

  632. think that's crucial. Right? Would you make it your convention

  633. to say God. If there's anything I should read so

  634. recently I'm trying to get myself to read a bit more.

  635. If there's only one thing that I can read today,

  636. let it be your word. If there's only one piece

  637. of news, or whatever time I have time for reading,

  638. let it be of your word and nothing else. And

  639. you will begin to see how God will renew and

  640. transform you. Amen. And God wants to do And as

  641. I love how Rachel puts it, this is the life

  642. giving word of God. Amen. So let's put life into ourselves.

  643. There's too much bad news around me. We don'ated first

  644. thing in the morning. Yes, you will attend to your

  645. emails later on, Yes, I know, yes there will be

  646. texts that you will need to attend to. Yes, I

  647. understand all that. But why don't you challenge yourself and say, God,

  648. if before anything else, I want to put you first. Right,

  649. that's being convicted by the word of God. And then

  650. when you do that, can I tell you, friends, that

  651. your confidence will begin to build in the spirit of God.

  652. And do you know that Holy Spirit is just waiting

  653. you know every morning? Ah, every morning He's waiting to say, Hello,

  654. I'm here, excota goo morning, I'm here, anyone recognized me

  655. or not? Everyone wants my time or not anyone. I'm here,

  656. and we miss him completely. We usually miss the Holy

  657. Spirit complete, and we think like, are you how come

  658. my prayer hitting a ceiling coming back? How come I

  659. feel so tired? Do you know this tiredness? I know

  660. there is a physical tightness, but what's more scary is

  661. a spiritual tiredness. We can be doing things week after week,

  662. month after month, and then we feel that how come

  663. I'm so tired? So I will always check is this

  664. a physical tightness. If it's a physical tiredness, praise God.

  665. Go to sleep a leap, please, children, teens, adults don't

  666. last girl until one am. And then you say, are

  667. you if you're a tired loer or church? The next

  668. morning one am is optimistic to sleep? Are you serious? Guys?

  669. What no wonder? You're tired? Lo no wonder? Try and

  670. sleep at top o'cloth piece ten o'clock. Okay, that's my standard.

  671. If I can sleep by eleven o'clock, Praise the Lord.

  672. Anything else is really just draining yourself for no reason.

  673. But really really like, if you're physically tired, it's okay,

  674. But can I guard you and warn you against a

  675. spiritual tightness. And that's where you know you're in dangerous

  676. grounds because when you're spiritually tired, you become spiritually dry.

  677. Have you heard of that word? Yeah, it's like I'm

  678. so dry? Long yeah, no, wonder because you haven't been

  679. feeling yourself with life and you know that the spirit

  680. is like the water that cleanses us. Right, is it

  681. making sense Jesus words to you? Right when when you

  682. feel dried and you're like, oh, I'm thirsty, thirsty for what?

  683. Not vodka? Okay, Malibo, You're thirsty for the spirit because

  684. without the spirit in your life, you shrivel up and dry.

  685. And that's why we must have sure on our face. Yeah, moisture, right, ladies,

  686. you know this. You always slept on a lot moisturizer

  687. right right, dry Like I got it every time. But

  688. what about the moisture of our hearts to keep it soft?

  689. I don'tays wrinkle up? Okay? Now now another thing, okay,

  690. So first one is conviction of the word. Second one

  691. is you gotta have confidence in the spirit as it

  692. begins to give you utterance. And can I finally say

  693. this that if you are emboldened by the Holy Spirit,

  694. it will automatically come out through your mouth. Yes, do

  695. you see that every time it says that the Holy

  696. Spirit feel them, the Holy Spirit feel them, out comes

  697. the truth of God. Do you notice that? Because I

  698. really believe and I share this with the morning Service,

  699. that out of the abundance of your heart, your Ma speaks.

  700. This is the overflow. Guys. Can you touch your your

  701. throat a little bit? Everyone touch your throat. This is

  702. the overflow. You know when you pump patrol, right, you

  703. pump patrol and then you feel feel, feel fel fool

  704. already what happens come out right? Same thing with us.

  705. When we are so full of the Holy Spirit plow

  706. the truth of God comes out. And you will know

  707. that people who begin to speak truth right and become

  708. bold is when they are able to write. You recognize

  709. that they have been filled with the Holy Spirit, and

  710. out of that comes boldness to share about God. I

  711. want to quickly share this story because I'm so proud

  712. of them. We have two teens here from Subunjai entity

  713. and so what happened was it's a simple thing, simple thing. Ah,

  714. what happened was one of the us I don't know

  715. what dayla. They were in the mall in Summit. They

  716. were in a ball in Summit, and they were there

  717. making traditional clothes, all right, so thank god for traditional clothes. Okay.

  718. So they were there trying to buy all the clothes.

  719. I don't know where they were, they were in the shop.

  720. And so then came this auntie. It's like, oh, wow,

  721. why you want to you know, make or was it

  722. making buying buying this traditional clothes? You know? And what

  723. was the occasion and all that. And they could have

  724. just said, oh, it's nothing like right, like teens, nothing, nothing,

  725. just go on with their business. But they, I don't know,

  726. in the boldness of their heart, they just say, yeah,

  727. it's because we go to a churchair in Summit, right,

  728. uh and and lo and behold, then they had they

  729. were so scared. I think they're probably afraid that now

  730. now it's like Nola, no, I can't see really anytime.

  731. But at that point, what I heard from the parents

  732. was they were of course china, right, shy, awkward, and

  733. then they did but they just say, anyway, we have

  734. a church. And guess what. The following Sunday, the antie came.

  735. She came to church, she read, dedicated her life, and

  736. today she is still worshiping with us a man praise God.

  737. Can you see it's something as simple as that. And

  738. I think that experience, you know, as much as it's

  739. so encouraging for us, right, it did something to them.

  740. Can I say that you two can be that one

  741. person just by saying, hey, we meet in a church

  742. on a Sunday, just by I don't know what you do.

  743. You know later on when you go out here to

  744. have your lunch and that would you just say, hey,

  745. we actually have a church here, right, and brought someone

  746. back to Christ. How precious is that? Isn't that what

  747. we want to see more and more of our lives,

  748. to see the bonus come into our heart and our minds. Right?

  749. We want to see bold Christians. Amen. I want to

  750. pray for you, and I know many of you love God,

  751. but we don't want just to love God. We want

  752. to be bold for Jesus. Amen. Amen, Halleloah. Can I

  753. invite the band to come on stage as we draw

  754. to a close. Amen, I just want to declare this.

  755. I want to declare this because let's not go away

  756. from here after receiving another message, but without any transformation

  757. in our lives? Would you pray? Do you know that

  758. after the disciples will persecuted again and again, And this

  759. is what they pray, And I pray this becomes your

  760. personal prayer, as He has become my personal prayer. In

  761. x chapter four, it says after they were together, they

  762. knew that they were gonna be persecuted, possibly executed. They

  763. pray together in their brethren. They say in verse two says, now, Lord,

  764. look on their threads. Whoever is threatening you. I don't

  765. know who is threatening you say, look on their threads,

  766. and grant to your servants that with all boldness, they

  767. may speak your word by stretching out your hand to heal,

  768. and that signs and wonders may be done through the

  769. name of your Holy Servant Jesus. And when they had

  770. prayed versty one, he says, the whole place where they

  771. were assembled together was shaken or exco documenting I want

  772. to say that this place is going to be shaken.

  773. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and

  774. they spoke the word of God with boldness. Amen.

  775. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  779. hit for you.
