We hope this message will light up your day.

Today we're going to speak of the importance of words.

How many of you know that words is important. You know,

words can either steal someone's future, words can either give life,

words can encourage, but words can also drag someone down.

So words is very important. But today we're not going

to talk specifically about the power of words. But we're

going to talk about the principle of first mention. You said, okay,

have you heard of this before? The principle or first mention?

You know, it's something is mentioned in the Bible for

the first time. You know, it's important, right, that's the

first mention. Whenever you want to know the meaning of

a particular word, we often go like, okay, when was

that word mentioned for the first time in the Bible?

So let me give you an example. Let's say, for example,

we want to know what's the meaning of word. Anyone

knows when worship was first mentioned in the Bible? Anyone

here knows? Any guesses? Anyone to guests up there.

Anyway?

Genesis, Yes, Genesis was the book where worship was first

mentioned about. In fact, let me just tell you this LA,

and then a preacher asks you, right, when is the

word first mentioned abiblees? See Genesis LA. You won't go

far from that one, because Genesis one to eleven essentially

shares a lot about the human race and God's plend

for this of the entire Gospel was shared in Genesis. Really, really,

go and study the Word of God, and you will

know that what I'm saying is true. Genesis one to eleven.

That's where I feel every believer should start. Some of

you may start with the Gospels. I'll tell you read Genesis.

Read Genesis one to eleven. If you want to know

what Christianity is about, read Genesis one to eleven, and

everything there will be written. But today, the second question

I ask you today is how many of you here

know Jesus?

Oh? My only one person knows Jesus.

Come on, let me try to get how many of

you know who Jesus is? Oh, your hands should be raised, right.

Jesus is the reason why you're here. In fact, for

some of you, maybe you don't know who Jesus is yet.

Maybe it's not someone that's personal in your life. Maybe

it's not something that pops up to you like the

favorite K pop band that you that you always mentioned. Yeah,

maybe Jesus doesn't have that same excitement yet. But today

and I pray that you will continue to pursue and

as you know more and more about him, I pray

that excitement will be greater than anything.

I should be equally as excited to come to church

then to go to Korea. I should be equally as excited,

in fact, even more excited to see the King of

things los.

Amen. Amen.

All right, So today we're going to talk about Jesus

and Jesus's first words in this earth. I'm not sure

if you know where I'm talking or what I'm talking about,

but I can get my slightes up price first sight.

We're gonna be talking about the principle of first. Okay,

principle of first, and essentially the principle of first is

about giving God our best in everything that we do.

We want to try our very level best to give

God our best.

Amen. Amen. There should be our desire.

Every believer in the House of the Lord should always try,

you know, at least give your best towards God.

Amen. Everyone got me on that.

But what does giving our best actually mean, what does

it actually mean? So no other to learn from the

person himself, the man himself, the man of the reason

why we are here today. And it's to learn from

the Man Jesus. All right, Jesus, turn your bibles with

me into Liuke chapter two, verse forty one, and we

will read all the way to fifty two. All right,

so it's time to exercise your vocal courts. You're gonna

read with me. There's no scripture on screen, but if

you have your bibles, please turn to Luke chapter two

versus forty one to fifty two. All right, it's about

ten verses, So let's get ready to read. If you're there,

say amen, men, are you there? The kind of three

are going to read together? Right? I really like to

see the responses of believers in church. You know, there

were a few speaking engagements that I was invited to.

Every time I say, turn to a specific scripture and

then if you're there, say amen, right, they'll say amen,

But all they say amen, not there?

So are you there or are you not there? For

so Luke chapter two, verse forty one, and the kund

We all read different versions, right, some of us earn

different languages. If there's no if there's someone that's not leading,

gonna catchy, especially in your life. If there's no direction,

it's very hard to follow. Why why some of you

when you're reading, you feel I can't really go on

the next verse.

Oh I'm distracted. Why was it? What do you think

it was? It's instruction.

You're hearing someone on your left, you're hearing someone on

your right, you're hearing someone behind you, in front of you.

But you know what Jesus teaches us to look towards

the and finish off our faith, that even when we

are reading the Word of God, do not be distracted

by what happens on the left or the right of you,

even if it's a believer, because your faith is your

faith alone to God himself.

Amen, I want you to catch it.

But the most important verse that I want you to

catch over here is this verse verse forty nine.

And he said to them, why did you seek me?

Did you not know that I must be about my

father's business. When he was twelve years old, Jesus' first

seventeen words recorded in English the Bible that we have, right,

is this worse of all the words that he could

The Holy Spirit, could you know, inspire the author which

is lew to write. The Holy Spirit chose this set

of words. It must be really important. For thirty years

of his life. Jesus was thirty years old before we

heard what the majority of what he did or said.

But leading up to these study years, all we had

we didn't even hear the cry read the Bible. We

didn't hear Jesus Christ. It wasn't recorded. But Jesus was born.

That's it. But Jesus' seventeen words was recorded, and I

wanted to just emphasize the importance of this. The seventeen

words that was recorded essentially revolved around this principle giving

God our best. It was about Jesus giving his father

in heaven his best. Amen, Let's go to it. Let's

study it a little bit more. What comes to mind

when you think of the word best? I hope Eli

shall will say cid my dad. You know what comes

to mind when when the word best comes to you?

Right?

Will I say? Rochelle, She's the best that God has

prepared for me?

Right? Okay, you're you're getting married, right?

Yo? Two?

Huh? So you should say.

Your each other, each other, your each other's best, right,

But honestly, are you perfect? Far from it?

Right?

There are flaws? Then maybe you'll find out after you

get married. But that doesn't mean that you are not

each other's best for each other in this season, in

this in your life. Waitmen, best is something that you

give unto someone or something that's okay? So the word

best over here in our in our perspective is this?

Could it be the word first? Let me just try

some words to you. Your utmost efforts, okay, not perfect,

but your utmost efforts.

I try my best, like daddy, I try my best? Mom?

What are the words climbing the corporate letter? Is that

your best, the best possible rang that you get senior

manager CEO, earning the more money possible?

Right?

I don't know how many by by crypto here? You

know how many of you get into trading? Yeah, I

don't know how many of you get into earning money

on stocks and shares?

Is that?

Is that the best in terms of monetary gain? What

is the best for you?

All right? Best possible results? Four point oh cgpa? Is

that the best? Is there a four point one?

I don't know when I when I came back with

to my mom, I remember when I was very young,

she half vious, Oh, this is a true definition of

an Asian parent. Seriously, you think you did very well

until you meet your Asian mom. I thought I did

really well. Okay, I came back home, I said, mom,

I got ninety six. She looked at me and asked

me west the other of four? Okay, I say, come on.

And ever since then, it's just been so challenging to to,

you know, get four point oh. I have never gotten

a four point oh in my life. Closest I've gotten

to a four point oh, which is one hundred monks?

Is my ternmo dynamic? Except I always brag about this

with my wife because my wife is an amazing scholar. Okay,

she's a she's a she she's so good in education,

that she always surpassed me in every level but one subject,

I'm better than her, Thermo dynamics. He transferred, I'm so

good at the subject, right, I'm so proud now, but

I'm so good a subject right that I close my

answer answer, I can answer the question. So there was

one time I actually answered the exam question in Monash

University Monash or Monash University and I and I answered

and look at that question and go like, nah, I'm

not going to answer this even though I know the answer.

The answer that question was worth three months. I I

scored ninety seven for the paper. Then did you ask me?

Did you actually call me? Or you know? Because you

know I actually wrote on the exam paper. I wrote

the answer backwards. So I was that proud. Okay, God

had to deal with me. But that was that close

to getting hundred. I didn't because I decided to be funny. Okay,

So but what actually is the minial best? Let's look

at what what is the idea of God's best?

Amen? So every ideal that we have that represents our best.

Okay, just picture that now, your best, your your your

best in life.

Just picture that.

Now you know that it will pale so far in

comparison with God's best.

And what is God's best?

You know you're searching so hard for that perfect result,

the perfect exam result in the eyes of your father,

your mother, yourself. What's the point if all of this

pale so much in comparison with what God actually means

by his best. So let's look at Let's look at

Scripture Exertus, chapter thirty four, verse fourteen.

Now as I as I turn the scripture, I hope

you can follow. All right? It says this, for you

shall worship no other God.

For the Lord whose name is jealous is a jealous God.

God is a jealous God. I don't know whether you

heard this statement before. Does that mean like, but isn't

jealousy bad?

Shouldn't not?

Shouldn't we not be jealous of some one? No, what

God actually means by the word jealousy is a godly jealousy.

Let me explain before that, Let's read Exertus twenty that

if three to five you shall have no other God

before me, you shall not make yourself a calf image

any likeness of anything that is in heaven, a birth,

or that is in earth beneath or that is water

under the earth. You shall not bow down to them

nor serve them for either Lord, your God, am a

jealous God.

You know.

God points out in this scripture that it is a sin. Okay,

it is a sin to worship or to serve anything

other than God. You know, when God says that he's jealous,

he's jealous of what belongs to him. It's wrong when

we get jealous of something that does not belong to us.

Meaning see let's say, for example, Okay, Albert is very wealthy,

a lot of money, right, but he earned that money.

He earned that money. I'm jealous of his money. I'm jealous.

I'm so jealous until I go, like, I'm going to

cause problems so that he does not get his promotion.

I'm going to be the not the hacker.

I'm going to say things that I that he didn't

actually do. I say, you know that they I would

actually kicked the students in the in the lakes, you know,

until the student's lake broke.

I'm like, I got witness so I can actually do that.

That is jealousy because I'm trying to get something that

I don't own. But let me give you an example

and This is backed up by scripture. If my shouldn't

use this example. But let's say if rachellees example. Okay,

let's say for example, I have a wife. I have

a wife, but in this example, I'm single. Okay, and

then I got a wife again, which is not quite

bad that Listen, Now a man has a wife.

Okay.

A man has a wife and the wife is seeing

someone else. You know, you know, why don't you share

any number? Okay, the wife is seeing someone else. Is

it right for the man to get jealous. Yes, because

you belong to each other. You're under a covenant of marriage.

So God being a jealous God is a god that

is jealous because he knows that we are his. And

when we do not worship God and we worship things,

decides God. That's where the godly jealousy comes from Second

Corinthians eleven to two.

For I am.

Jealous for you with godly jealousy, for I have betrothed

you to one husband that I may present you as

a justice virgin to Christ. It's a godly jealousy. It's okay.

But God is a jealous God. He wants you. He

doesn't want you minus that attention that you have for

something that you love. He wants your whole being. He

wants your whole heart, not a partition of your heart,

even if it's ninety nine percent. He wants one hundred percent.

So when you are not giving you one hundred percent

to God, God.

Will be a jealous God.

God wants you. He desires a relationship with us. He

does not need us, but he wants. How beautiful is

that picture? A creator, a father in heaven, this divine

being that you know. Other people may say, we may

not have a chance to even see that person. Scripture

teaches us that he wants a relationship with us and

he wants our best. Let me give you some characteristics

about God. He never loses, man, have you ever seen

a part in scripture where God loses? Okay, he never fails. Now, actually,

I hope you can follow me right. He never leaves you,

He never forsakes you. He never bags down from his promises.

He never bags down from his promises. Yesterday I was

sharing the leaders that when Abraham was given the promise

of getting a son that is from his own body,

and when that son was promised to him even before

the sun came, the promise is that generations will come.

Because of your faith. That's Abraham.

Many years later, when Abraham was one hundred years old,

God then instructed Abraham to offer up Isaac as a

burnt offering. Now, the word test was used in Scripture,

and the word test in Greek is risthmos. All right,

it's a testing that produces something. God is in it

to test us because he wants to see if we are.

Does he not know already he knows because if it's

about what he knows, then he doesn't need to test

us because he knows the result. But it's because he

wants us to make a decision. Hence why the testing

is important. But when Abraham was tested, I used the

thing when I was younger. He wrestled with God. But

when I read scripture again and again, I can't comprehend

that fact, because scripture does not say and Abraham wrestled

with God.

In fact, it was an instruction.

It was asleep and it was waking up in the

early in the morning, and immediately Abraham moved that its obedience.

Abraham's obedience was grounded on his faith on God. Because

God promised me something He's going to fulfill, even if

my earth he understanding says that, nah, if I kill

someone wears, my sea gonna come a hundred years old

the day I'm dryty, I cannot go one more time,

cannot if you know, I mean you know, I mean

not right.

One time is enough to the glue. I cannot one

more time, cannot.

So I trust that God says something he will never

back down. And true enough, God did not break down

A short story, long story cut short. When he was

about to kill Isaac, the Angel of the Lord appeared

and say stop. But later then we find out the

context even more. When we read further in Hebrews, we

realized that it was by faith that Abraham has such

a faith that even if Isaac were to die, God

can raise him from the dead.

And there was a type of Jesus that was being

preached already. Think about it.

The faith was so strong because God is not a

man will back down on his word.

I don't know how many of you in your lives

think the same way.

God gave you a promise and then sumbling block hit

you like a train, and you're saying, God, you did

not fulfill your promise.

Are you dead? Yet you used to have.

Rev for as long as you have rev you shall

praise the Lord. It took Abraham twenty five years. It

may take you the same, it may take you even more.

But you've got to continue to praise the Lord. You've

got to continue to praise your creator, because God never

fails and God never backs down.

Amen. Amen, this is the God that you and I worship.

You know one Karnthians thirteen, verse thirteen says this and

now abide faith, hope, love this tree.

But the greatest of this is love. That's why now

we know.

When you read about the fruits of the spirit, it

starts with It starts.

With come on, love.

Love, And the the greatest commandment that was given to

mankind is too love. God commanded us to love and

not just love God. But when we love God, we

can also love others like we love ourselves. Can you

see a beautiful picture that is being painted here? For

God so love the world that he gave his one

and only begotten son, the same parallel that was expected

of Abraham to give up Isaac.

God is a God that.

Backs it up with his actions. So I want to

just show you this that God is a God of love.

First Corinthians thirteen, verse one to two. Though I speak

with the tongues of men and of angels, but have

not love, I have become a sounding brass or clanging symbol.

I don't know if you've ever heard a bad drammer before.

XCDA Commany has no bad drummers, so maybe you can

don't have the prayage to hear that. But you know,

Tell you can just shut your years.

It's so even though I speak tons of men and angels,

but have not love, and don't have the given prophecy,

and understand all mysteries and all knowledge. And though I

have all faith, wow, all faith that I could remove mountains.

But have not love, I am nothing.

Elect you thought sayen you harpos nothing nemeo I oh, nemeo,

pang wang push, there's no there's nothing if there's no love.

So let's let's let's let's let's zoom in on the

first seventeen words. Now that we know that God gives

us only his best, let's.

See what the Son of God did. All right, let's

see what the Son.

Of God did Jesus first seventeen words, twelve years. Oh,

oh my, goodness, that's Matthew Leam's h twelve. Yes, oh

is it the thteen twelve Jesus? If I can Mathew

A perfect picture of what Jesus are you finding for me?

Seventeen words? You know, the average male.

Speaks about about, you know, eight thousand, nine thousand words

a day. Maybe the three thousand male male. I don't

know this research maybe I do, is the US, and

so they speak more. Okay, so male around eller three

to five thousands. Just let's just say that the average

female speaks about twenty thousand words a day. Twenty thousand

words a day. So if Jesus lived thirty years, how

many words do you think he would have spoken? Holy

spirituose seventeen words? It must be important. Pay attention, friends,

pay very attention. This is the seventeen words. Why do

you seek me? Did you not know that I must

be of my father's business? I repeat, why do you

seek me? Did you not know that I must be

of my father's business? I'm going to give you five points,

all right, and it comes from the letter the word first.

So first point F is the word father. You're talking

about giving God our best and when if Jesus first

opened his mouth or to that was recorded in scripture.

That important enough to record in scripture. One of the

first things he's spoke about. It's the word father, all right,

it's the word father. He is not talking about Joseph. Okay,

and imagine Joseph asking there, what are you doing here?

Did you not know that I must be on my

father's Then go back into the do the company, try

what are you doing here? No, it's not talking about Joseph.

He's talking about his father in heaven. Amen, there is

a unique even for Jesus, there was a unique and

personal relationship with God. It's not just any father. Yeah,

you know, we love to say our father in heaven.

That's the way we talkt to pray. Jesus taught us

to pray that way. But when Jesus first opened his mouth,

there was recorded in scripture he says.

My father, who is your father?

Do you have a personal and unique, unique relationship with God?

Not founded on your daughter's faith, not founded on your

mom's faith, but founded on your faith with Christ?

Jesus? Where is that faith?

Jesus had such a faith that giving his best, you know,

when he was there he wasn't there because he was

busy playing you know games, you know, eating food, you

know his favorite snack.

No, he was there because some context.

This was what happened Mary and Joseph, and for every

year we read that in the beginning of Scripture says

that they go to Jerusalem, Jerusalem in the Temple for

the feast of the past Over, the remembrance of when

the Israelites were delivered from captivity. That's why they celebrate

the feast of pass Over every year, is a Jewish custom.

So Mary and Joseph, being Jews themselves, took Jesus to

Jerusalem the Temple, and they were there. And while they

were there, just essentially it's like church, right, they've done

all their church, they left. Everyone does that. But Jesus

remained behind, dialoguing learning. It was not just teaching. He

knew he was the son of God, but he was

there listening. He was there dialoguing learning, That's what Jesus did.

But Jesus was there because really he wanted to give

his best. He wanted to give his best, but because

he knew that this is my father's house. I would

not just go anywhere if I do not have a

personal reason to go there.

You get it. There's no point to go somewhere.

What's the point of going You need to have a

personal and unique encounter with that thing or that's something.

But in the case of Jesus, it was with the Father.

I'm not sure how many of you here have that

personal relationship with God. The next slide is the word personal.

I want to emphasize to you today. You know, sometimes

we go back saying I didn't growler because the speaker

did not preach something that was deep enough. I tell

you what, friends, there's nothing deeper than this. There's nothing

that can go deeper than a personal relationship with God.

Because once you can understand and comprehend the meaning of

the word personal, you will go very far in your

faith in Christ Jesus. But if you do not comprehend

the word personal, if God is just something on the

shelf that you can pull out whenever you want, it's

not personal. At times, God will still come true for you.

Another thing that I've learned is that the Holy Spirit

will only operate within the context of God's word. That means,

if we are praying to the Holy Spirit for something

that does not go in line with the Word of God.

The Holy Spirit will not confident to say that if

you're praying out of greed for wealth, and you're praying

for the Holy Spirit to bless you out of greet

that means you are greedy. I give you ready enough.

You're one more because greed. It's a difference if I'm

praying because I want to bless others blessed to be

a blessing.

It's different.

If you don't fulfill the commandment to honor children. Listen up, youse,

listen up. If you do not honor your parents, which

is the fifth commandment, and you know you're praying to

the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, help me wake my father

up because he did not see that this toy is

so important to me. The Holy Spirit won't answer your prayer.

Is we sprayed out of a prayer of dishonor amen?

Because the Holy Spirit only operates through and in the

Word of God. Romans eight fourteen seven Day says this,

For as many that are led by the Spirit of God,

these are sons of God. For you do not receive

a spirit of bondage again to fear, but you receive

the spirit of adoption. Wow, we are adopted by the

spirit whom we cry out, Oh bah Fuder, Daddy, God

our boy. Is essentially that there's a personal cry, there's

a there's a loving cry. You know, when when my

wife breaks down, you know, her car, tire or something.

I don't I wouldn't. I wouldn't be surprised if the

first person she goes to is that that John. I

wouldn't be surprised because she has such a relationship with

John that when I look at them, I look at

them adoringly, you know, like really, wow, there's there's nothing wrong.

There's nothing shy to to look at an adult saying daddy.

There's nothing shy, there's nothing, there's nothing wrong with that

because there's such a love. Sometimes we grow up children.

Sometimes we grow up and then we get you know,

I'm not saying daddy. You don't say daddy. You know

if your Western culture called that mom whatever. But when

we grew up, we go like we change, we change

from daddy to dad to like, hey, we change because

sometimes that love is not that I'm talking about.

That love.

Stop calling your dad and mom a Hey. Someone used

to call a now what a I slapped your head? Hey,

I tell you my child ever calls me a, I

will give him the ah if you know what it means. Okay,

I'll give him the A. Okay, I'll ah him one time.

Now I tell you what it's speechy eighteen. So anyways,

uh again?

Okay? So uh where am I? My wife just distracted me? Okay?

So verse sixteen.

Okay, the spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that

we are child of God seventeen. And if children, then

heirs of God, and then join heirs with Christ. If

we need suffer with him, that we may also be

glorified together. So point number one, who is your father?

Father?

You have to have a personal relationship with the Father,

which is actually God. If you do not have a

personal relationship with him yet, I pray and I pray

that true. You're in different encounters, your different you know,

encounters with people around you. I pray that the love

of Jesus Christ will eventually touch your heart. All right, Amen,

there's a personation for believers here. Reflect and speaking to

myself as well. Reflect, because if you do not have

a personal relationship, you will not go far.

Stop pulling God out like it's a shelf. Stop it.

I'm preaching to you. Now, stop it.

Really, some of us do that a lot, including myself,

and I get so disgusted with myself whenever I pull

him out, as if he's like a candy bar to

be eaten. Whenever something goes wrong, God, whenever something goes wrong.

God, Hello, God, it is not your toy.

Stop treating him like he's something to be messed around with.

Treating with respect, with honor, with reverence.

Amen. Amen, Amen. Point number two.

The word must okay, Point number two, the word must.

It started with this, I must be, all right, Jesus said,

I must be. Did you not know that I must be?

So let's reflect on these three words. Okay, I must be.

If we were to give God our best, it must

come of a place of First. It cannot be second.

Jesus did not say I should. Jesus did not say

I maybe will. Jesus did not say that only when

I'm ready. No, Jesus said that he must be of

his father's business. Sorry, I can't find another lettin if

I so. But the word I is there.

Okay, he must be. You must be.

When you're giving God a bess, you must. It's not

a matter of if, but when it's a matter of muss,

I must muss is not affected by feelings. Okay, like

it or not, Joan has to cook for Elisha and

mad and CG. But like it or not, she has

to wake up at for thirty every morning to cook

for them. Because for her it's a muss. I don't

know if you're you have ever seen your maybe if

your mom is really tired, really sick, then.

She doesn't do it.

But for as far as I know, and she when

she still did it. She had every right to say, ah,

couldn't take this money and just go do your own.

But to Joan, it's a mess. She did it.

She did it out of love the same way. And

just give you an example that when Jesus did it,

he also did it out of love for the Father.

So he had a personal relationship with the father. Because

of that personal relationship with the Father, he then know

that he must, he must.

There's power in this. I must go to Jerusalem, I.

Must preach, I must finish the work of my father.

This wasn't the first time that he said the word must.

It was the first time, but definitely not the last right,

I must do the work of him who sent me

some familiar I must suffer of these things muscial.

Whether you're getting this or not.

Jesus had the idea that the understanding that it is

not a matter of if, but it is a matter

of muss.

The Bible speaks about.

Being full, so full to the point where you cannot

contain it anymore. Right out of the abundance of the heart,

the mouth will speak. Whether we speak good or whether

we speak evil, it matters. I always like to draw

us back to scripture. You know, we often call the

scripture out the abundance of the heart, the mouth will speak,

and then we caught, like you know, feel ourselves with good.

But do you know that it was actually a warning.

Read that context of scripture. It actually continues by saying,

do not curse. Do not feel your heart with evil,

because if you feel your heart with evil, what comes

out is just curse. And sometimes we then know, now,

why why when we see certain people on the news

we get so angry. It's not that that day you

develop that anger towards that person. It's because of throughout

the years that you are being fed information. Yes, say

of having a conversation with Albert, and Albert just admitted

to me and say, I got to stop. You know,

just reading through much of the news social media. It's

good to be in the know, but when you get

so engrossed into it, you then go like, oh, I'm

this team, I'm that team.

You don't even know the context.

You're just reading something that people want you to read,

and that person is not God. Because if you're reading

something that God wants you at least you know that

it's God. This is something else written by the media,

and you're feeling yourself and then you're forming your judgment

based on that information.

That's what happened.

Is happening in the media mainstream nowadays, everybody is forming

judgment against each other. Maybe the first innocent right, So

are the abundance of the heart your mouth will speaks.

So question is here, friends, what are you feeling your

hearts with? What are you feeling hards I'm pretty sure

and confident that Jesus was feeling his heart with the

word of God with the Torah. It's him because he

exists yesterday, today, and forever. But it did not make

him so proud to the extent that he doesn't feel

he knew every single word.

Shelf your soul, and hence why he says I must be.

And you will notice that clearly, because even though he

must do the will of the Father Hashi, he still

went back with his earthly fathers and money because he

honored them, not for one year, two years, three years,

four years, eighteen years before he started his ministry when

God really called him.

Now is the time.

You got to be obedient in order to give God

your best. Like Abraham was obedient, You got to be obedient.

It's a muss.

There's no prayer required when an instruction is given, just go,

just do it. Sometimes Christians we tend to overpopularize and

overromanticize the sentence, let me pray about it. Why do

you need to pray about it when it's already in

the world of God, love your neighbor, let me pray

about it.

But the thing is sometimes these instructions may not be

as clear as that.

Maybe the instruction is go and say sorry, Oh, but

I'm not the one that is guilty.

He is the one that don't freighten me.

First, the Bible says, forgive, Why do you have to

pray about it?

When his instruction is already so clear.

That's why Abraham immediately obeyed, because the instruction was so clear,

the promise was so clear, he didn't have to pray

about it because he knew that God is the altered

in finisher of his faith.

Now, does that mean you don't have to pray? No,

pray edify your spirit.

Whenever you're praying, the Holy Spirit hears your prayer and

he interceedes to the Father.

Did you know that?

You know that every time you pray, how your prayer

goes to God is because the Holy Spirit interceeds for you.

And sometimes your prayer.

Doesn't get answered because you are not praying in accordance.

To the world of God. Think about it.

A lot of our prayers sometimes don't get answered because

it's not according to the Word of God.

It's a quandnity of fleshley desires.

But when it's according to the world of God, when

it's grounded by the Word of God, the Holy Spirit

intercends the Father. Here is the Father answers Amen in

his timing and in his in accordance to his spiel.

You know what, but the one thing that I want

you to cat share is this next light mark chapter one,

verse twenty nine to three. This question answer or rather

is an answer that we say a lot, either yes

or no. Right when you get married, either say yes

or no. I'm giving some plump problems some practice. Can

huh say yes sir? Okay, so yes or no?

But do you know this?

Most of our messes in life is actually because of

our yess.

Think about it.

Most of our messes is because of potentially because of

our yeses. We say yes to things that are not

of God. We're very quick to say yes to things

that north God. Why are we so quick to say,

let me pray about it? When it comes to your

pastor asking you to serve, serve the house of the Lord,

be a host, let me pray about it. Your boss

comes to you tomorrow give a promotion. Do you say

let me pray about it? No?

You say yes straight away?

I said yes straight away when my director offered me

a position in the company. This was before I came

full time. My director gave me a position of company.

I didn't even say, let me pray about it. You know, sure, boss, Sure,

I'll do it. I can do it, only to then

go home and say, who said you can do it.

God who said you can do it, I have greater

plans for you. You didn't even consider what I want

for you. You consider what you want for yourself. But

do you know that if you go along that path

of just saying yes to everything besides God, You're going

to end up in a mess. And that's where our

messes continue to happen again and again. And it's only

because of the grace of God that we are alive today.

A lot of times think or they rewind your life.

A lot of things you say yes to. You know,

when you're an interviews made with an advancing age person

in the States and he said this, He said, you

know what, if there's one thing you regret, what is it?

He said this, I regret spending my time too much

on things that method nothing mattered, very little.

I regret.

You'll be very wise of what you say yes to.

Be quick to say yes to God. When God is

calling you, be quick to say yes to God. Or

when man is calling you. That's when you should really say,

let me pray about it, because maybe God is calling

you through the man.

Maybe God is speaking to you through the man. But

let me pray about it. All right.

So the second thing of giving God our best is

understanding the term I must be. I must say yes

to go whenever it comes to God, I say yes.

Let me give you an example. Jesus himself said, no, okay, Jesus.

You think Jesus didn't want to heal people. Do you

think Jesus didn't want to do to save those that

are hurting? No, Jesus was healing, Okay, heal Peter's mother

in law in Mark chapter one, verse twenty nine to

thirty eight. He healed, and then he found the healing.

He went to the raising of the lame to walk,

the blind to see, and then everybody was like, wow,

there's this person's name, Jesus. Come hear from him. And

they were outside the door, and the disciples were saying, Hey,

let's let's go, let's let's let's pray for these people.

What did Jesus say.

Jesus said no, No, because Jesus understood his calling. Jesus

understood that he had a mission. He's not just here

to be this superstar that everybody liked. He's here to

share the quick news. He's here to introduce the love

of the Father. Jesus was so sure of his mission,

so much so that he said no, okay. But sometimes

when we see that no, we go like bad Jesus,

bad God.

No, How do you know what God's plan is? Do

you know that? Much later, this is what I discovered.

When Jesus went up to the right hand of the Father,

he left behind the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit walked

to the apostles, and the apostles when in he Wow,

sometimes we are looking so much towards the man, so

much that we forget God, We forget the bigger picture

that God has for life. But Jesus had to continue

to be faithful to his calling. If not, he would

never have fulfilled his vision. Imagine if he what his

work was only to go around the world healing people,

he wouldn't have enough time to do what he needed

to do, which is to raise up the Twelve Disciples,

to showcase God's love and to preach the good news. Amen,

and man, So there is a mass that has to

be in your life. What are the masters that you

have in your life? I must me and rachelle we

we we decided when we got when we got married,

we must not skip church. It's church the thing that

caused us to be holy. And you know, no, I don't.

I don't believe just because we go to church we

will change. No, when we come to church in scripture

says that to some apostles, to some preachers, it's the

values that you get from church, the people that when

we edify another, that caused us to one to grow

closer to God. And it's the growing closer to God

that restrains us from evil. But if we choose to

not go to church and do something else with our life,

then we are saying that, you know what, we have

enough strength to resist au temptation. Let's let's say Sunday

morning today, let's go clubbing today. Let's go and have

time for ourselves. There's nothing wrong with that. We are

going to have time for us or ourselves soon. But

the thing about that is what is a priority. There

must be a party in your life. Amen, There must

be a priority in your life, all right. So the

third point is this, Luke chapter two, verse fifty says,

but they did not understand the statement in which he

spoke to them. This is Joseph and Mary talking. The

point here is this, when you put God first. When

you put God first, More often than not, some people

will be confused by your actions. Why why you choose

to do this, why you choose to obey, why you

choose to go to church, why you choose to love

this person when the whole world hates him, Why you

choose to do this, why you choose to do that?

And sometimes it may even come from Christians. Joseph and

Mary were Jews. They did not understand what Jesus was saying.

Imagine this.

Well, what Jesus did next is what I want you

to catch, she says. The third point, which is the

word repeat, to.

Continue to do it.

Jesus continued to persevere, continue to push on, continue to

do what he was supposed to do. Scripture says that

he went back to his father's house, the physical fort,

and he continued to work. He's a job to him,

but his work never changed. Remember what Puss I kind

of appreci about difference be didn't work and a job.

Jesus knew his work and hence why no matter what

his parents said or did, he continued to do what

the father has planned for him. And until the father

calls him, which is the baptism, he continued to be

a son. He repeated every year. I believe he went

back to Jerusalem every day he prayed. Are you putting

God first in life to extend where you're doing it?

Not like because it's clockwork, but because you love God

so much that the first thing you do in the

morning is to say good morning to Him. The first

thing that comes to your mind whenever something happens is

what would God feel if I make this decision? How

can I glorify God? You know, clockwork is when you

when you were so used to going back to cuss

highway to come back to goduct morning that when you're

also affected someone back, you still go straight because you're

so used.

That is clockwork.

But the intention of always going back to that position,

that destination will cause you to take us away anyways.

But it's a different thing. One is clockwork. One is

a decision.

Jesus made a decision daily for three years to continue

even though I would, I would, I would imagine because

Mary Captain in her heart, she just says that Mary

Captain in her heart, you didn't understand. I don't know

how many of you here one to be understood? Mom, Dad,

can't you understand? This is why I am going to church.

I want to be understand. You don't understand me, he

hurts you. But Jesus went on anyways, even when the

parents did not understand. Why catch this fourth point the

word submit, submit, all right, Jesus was surrendered to the

Father's will. Did you not know that I must be

about my father's business. It is the will of the Father,

not the will of man. It is the will of

the Father that Jesus himself, as the son of Man,

son of God, had to be surrendered to, submitting himself to.

The will of the Father.

Collusions, Chapter three, verse twenty three, twenty four says this,

and whatever you do, do it hardily as to the

Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord

you will receive the reward of inheritance for yourself the

Lord Christ.

Jesus.

I'm going to give you a few verses over here,

or rather just one because of time. Then really exemplified

what Jesus was living for in earth, the mission that

he was given. John six thirty eight says, for I

have come down from heaven not to do my own will.

I tell you what you read this in context. Jesus

himself is God. This pains the Trinity like nothing else will.

In my opinion, every person in the God here is

a distinct person, but they are God.

They are one.

But Jesus knew to distinguish the will of the Father,

which is also his will. But he said this not

to do my own will, but the will of him

who sent me, God, the Father, his Father, his personal

relationship with the Father when he was on earth.

That was all he was about.

And that's what gave him the strength the authority to

say no to healing the sick, because the will of

the Father is for the Gospel to propagate.

Amen. Amen. He was surrendered to God's will.

And finally, the last point I want to give you

is the letter T, which is to trust. You've got

to continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart.

The man Proverbs Tree was five to six. Trust in

the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on

your own understanding.

In all your ways.

Acknowledge Him and he shall direct your path. You've got

to trust in the Lord because it's going to take

a lot of trust, friends, to put God first, to

give God your best. It's going to take a lot

of trust. When you empty out your bank account, the

savings for the man to give to missions. You may

think that what are these people doing the money? Are

they taking it to go for a joy? Right?

Are they taking it to go for Disneyland? Are they

taking it? No?

Trust in the Lord with all your path and in

all your ways, you have to acknowledge him. Not just trust,

but you have to acknowledge. You have to acknowledge that

he is God and he deserves your entire trust, and

then he shall direct your path. You know, without the

Cross being the first in your life, all you're left

with is the word Russ. You're going to continue to

rust away your life without the Cross at the forefront

of your trust. You're trusting someone without the Cross, without Jesus,

without acknowledging Jesus, You're just going to continue to rust away.

Nobody likes Russia. Russ is of no good. He doesn't

do anything good. Do not allow your faith to rust away. Friends,

Do not allow your faith. But the thing is this,

and this is what is scary. The more we give

in to the little rust starts off as no harm.

But when rust starts to develop slowly but surely, the

tab cannot open anymore. And what do you need to do?

You need to.

Remove the debt, remove the russ, and put back in

the tap. Do you know that that's what Jesus did.

He removed Sin, but he's a permanent beauty forty okay,

no longer coming back. Sin has no grip over with

us anymore because of what Jesus did at the cross.

In closing, let me just say this, I'm gonna invite

a band to come up so that we can just

close this service. Now, Mary and Joseph, the story is this.

They went searching an entire year day. Okay, you follow scripture.

Mary and Joseph went searching for Jesus, the little Jesus.

The child yells, oh Jesus.

Just picture of Matt.

Now Matt's missing, searching for Jesus, just and analogy because

he's Chelf.

Okay, I don't know who else is he Chelf? Okay?

Anyways, just imagine Mary and Joseph, imagine your little chield

years old boy going missing, and you're like, oh, I

don't know, I don't know what is happening to him.

I don't know. I don't know if he's okay or not.

Did he mix with the wrong company? Is it still alive?

They didn't even realize that Jesus was missing reach scripture.

Read scripture. Joseph and his mother did not know it.

They left the ste of God behind, and they did

not know. They thought that they were following. They thought

Jesus is following them, going home.

Let's go home. No, And the entire day went by

they did not recognize it. And what happened after that?

Mary and Joseph went to the familiar Elizabeth, have you

seen Jesus?

I don't know if you've got the context. You know,

Elizabeth is John. Have you met Jesus? No, I'm busy baptizing.

They were practicing, you know. No, have you met Jesus, James,

have you met Jesus? No, we have not seen Jesus.

Mary and Joseph went for three days. They were searching

for three days. Look at the significance of this. For

three days they lost Jesus. And on the fourth day,

the third day, they found him. Where did they find him?

They found Jesus in the temple. And more importantly this

they found Jesus where they left him. I don't know

how many of you here have left God somewhere in

your life. My encouragement, if it's that's you go back.

The way to find God is to go back where

you left him. Where have you left him behind in

your life? You got to pick him up again. You

got to go back to him. The story of the

Prodigal's Son. The prodigal's son went back to the Father.

But you've got to make that first step to go

back to the Father. Mary and Joseph would have found

Jesus if they have not went back to the temple

where they left him. It's scary the thing that at

times when we are not giving God our best, it

is because we have lost him, we have lost touch

of God. We don't feel that connection with God anymore.

We don't feel that connection with our personal Lord and

Savior anymore.

We were so busy.

Some of us can be in church today, so busy,

so attentive, but yet still being lost. Some of us

can be at church today but still feel lost. Come

back to Jesus, come back to the autumn definition of

your faith. So lost to the point that sometimes these

words don't even resonate with you. Because if you are

not lost, and you're found in Christ, every time I

mention the principles the characteristics of God, you will be

beaming with a white smile because you know that because

Jesus died for me at the cross.

I have a hope and the future.

You But maybe because we have lost touch with God,

that some of these words are just bouncing off your chest.

Like there's no impact.

But Jesus wants your best, friends, Jesus wants your best.

God wants your best. Seventeen words, why do you seek me?

Did you not know that I must be of my

father's business? Seventeen words is all it took to summarize

the entire ministry of Jesus Christ, because everything that Jesus

did is because of the father that was his best

at twelve years old. Mind you that some of us

are already seventeen eighteen. Twelve years old. Boy knew how

to say this. Yeah, we can say, but he is

son of God, sure lie, he can.

Did you know? Did you know that the term son

of men is because of this? He had to be.

Fully God, but at the same time he had to

be fully men. So much soul that even Jesus was

successible to temptation. The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the

wilderness to tempt to test him. Parismus, You may not.

You may think that, oh, it's just Jesus.

No, Jesus felt everything that you and I are going through. Everything.

He had to be fully man.

In order for his death at the cross to work,

because the curse was upon men, the penalty of sin,

which is death, was upon men. So the next time

you say Jesus can do it because he's God, think again,

he was fully men as well. That means everything that

you and I are going through he had to go

through as well. It's the only difference between Erth and him.

And here's here's a wonderful thing we can be like

him as well, is that he has a relationship with

the Father, and that's what can continue to spur him

on in every given time. The Holy Spirit was there

with Jesus when he obeyed to be baptized. When he

was baptized, and when it was coming out of the water,

the dove we represent the Holy Spirit came upon him

and God said from heaven, this is my son, which

I am well pleased. Common friends, I don't know if

you are resonating with this today, but if you are

lost some of you here, maybe in your heart you

are lost. You are lost without hope, without direction, without understanding,

without knowing what it is or what will come. I

just want to declare Proverbs Tree Versus five to six

over you again, trusting the Lord with all your heart,

and lean not on your own, understanding all your ways,

acknowledge him, and.

He shall direct your paths. Amen.

A man, put God first. Give God your best, not

what's what's lever. Give God your best, and the Lord

will continue to direct you. And I know, and I know,

and I know, blessings will come. You know, we often

shy away from preaching prosperity gospel. We often shy away

from preaching blessings. But blessings will come if you are

obedient to the world of God. Look at Abraham. Blessings

will come. Abraham would not have seen you and I,

But you and I are here because of the faith

of Abraham. Can you imagine if Abraham were to kill Isaac.

I don't know whether we will be here today. The

believers of Christ will be here today. But Abraham had faith.

Isaac faith, Jacob had faith, Joseph had faith, David had faith,

Daniel had faith, Job had faith.

Can the story go on? Can a God story go on?

Anna had faith? Richell had faith, can head faith? See

you had faith? Come on, get the story.

Go on. When our descendants see us, they will say,

because of this person, because of the faith of my father,

I am here today. You are Jesus in your community.

You can be Jesus in your community. Be the soul

and light that Jesus has called us to be, and

continue to put Christ at the center of it all.

Continue to press on in faith. Thrue Christ, Jesus. Amen.
