You're listening to a message to go from asks Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Now I can, okay, now I can.
-
And subtitle is making preparations for God to move.
-
Okay. Let's look into some scripture now.
-
First, Kings eighteen, let's turn to that read some scripture,
-
and then I will move on to tell you what
-
God wants me to say to you today.
-
One Kings eighteen.
-
Many of you know that that portion of scripture is
-
when Elijah went up on Mount Carmel and began to
-
do that whole story of fire coming down on you know,
-
the sacrifice. They did not use their own fire, but
-
Elijah called down fire from heaven.
-
Remember that. Let's look at verse to verse thirty seven.
-
Here we go. Then Elijah said to all the people,
-
come near to me.
-
So all the people came near to him, and he
-
repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down.
-
He repaired the altar of the Lord.
-
And Elijah took twelve stones according to the number of
-
the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the
-
word of the Lord had come, saying, Israel shall be
-
your name Verse thirty two. Then with the stones he
-
built an altar in the name of the Lord, and
-
he made a trench around the altar, had enough to
-
hold two siers of c and he put the wood
-
in order, cut the bull in pieces, laid it on
-
the wood and said, fill for water pots with water,
-
and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the
-
wood said do it a second time. He did it,
-
the second time, time, third time. Okay, good. So my
-
point to just bring you this first portion of scripture
-
is to tell you that preparation was very important even
-
with Elijah. You know, Elijah could have just prayed and said,
-
okay God, now that you see, you've seen that the
-
profits of Baal have tried and they couldn't.
-
God, now strike the sacrifice with fire.
-
And some of us, if we are not, if you're
-
not knowledgeable of how powerful preparation is, we will always
-
try to skip preparation and just go straight for you know,
-
whatever it is that we hope to achieve. You know,
-
we are more performance oriented than preparation oriented. I want
-
to tell you that the reason why fire came down
-
is largely because Elijah knew the power of preparation. He
-
did not go straight to just ask God for fire,
-
He prepared the altar, He repaired the altar, He.
-
Put the wood in order.
-
That the reason why the Bible says why he says, No,
-
he didn't, he says, and he threw a few wood,
-
he put it in order. And sometimes when I read
-
that that that that that that, just just that phrase,
-
I get reminded that God loves that our lives be
-
put in order.
-
And so you know the power of preparation.
-
And then only after everything is prepared, he said, Now, God,
-
do your thing. I mean, I'm paraphrasing. He didn't say that.
-
He says, say, God, you know, send fire. But for me,
-
it can be as good as now that I prepared everything. God,
-
do your thing, have your way, everything is prepared. Okay,
-
Now let's look at the next portion of scripture, John
-
chapter one.
-
Okay, let's not.
-
Let's now go from All Testament to New Testament. Okay, John,
-
the book of John. All right, all right, here we go.
-
Now this is the testimony of John. When the Jews
-
send priests and levites from Jerusalem to ask him, who
-
are you? He confessed and did not deny. He but
-
confessed I am not the Christ. And they said, they
-
asked him what then are you, Elijah? He said, I'm not.
-
Are you the prophet? And he answered no. Then they
-
said to him, who are you? Then, that we may
-
give an answer to those who sent us? What do
-
you say about yourself? Now this is what he said,
-
virtual entry. I love it. He said, I am the
-
voice of one crying in a wilderness. Make straight the
-
way of the Lord. As a prophet. Isaiah has said.
-
Even John understood that he was He was sent to prepare.
-
The way of the Lord. Preparation is key.
-
It's it's so important in the economy of God, in
-
the ways of God, preparation is key. Let me just
-
start by talking about ex Germany, all right, Let me
-
talk about X Germany now, okay, ex Germany, all right?
-
How did it come about? Why did he come about? Now?
-
I was, you know, for many months now in conversation
-
with Gert and Doris. Both of them are Germans, and
-
they they are the ones who actually before they left Malaysia. Now,
-
if you didn't know, Gert was the general manager of
-
Royal Slango's jewelry arm. It's called Salbran and Salbran makes
-
jewelry and they weren't doing well and so they got Gert,
-
and Gert came in Jess to do one thing only
-
because he was training Germany.
-
He went to Goldsmith school forty years.
-
Ago, forty five years ago, and and he was very
-
good in his trade.
-
But the Southeast Asia.
-
Economy opened up and the Germans began to go out
-
for cheaper production. So they got production in Vietnam, production Thailand,
-
production in Malaysia. So a lot of people in Germany
-
lost their jobs because they didn't need them anymore. They
-
sent their jobs to this part of the world. So
-
Gerd came and he first worked in Thailand. Remember his
-
testimony in Thailand. He said, Pastor, before I went to Thailand,
-
I checked out where should I go for church first?
-
And so even before he checked out where he was there,
-
he wanted to check out church first.
-
So this is a man of God. He loves God.
-
And he had to walk through a street that had
-
prostitution every single day.
-
And that he walked to work. And he said the
-
Lord preserved him because his wife was not with him
-
for two years.
-
And he said, Lord preserved me as I walked through
-
the value of the shadow of death. Preserved me all right,
-
and and and the Lord preserved him. He's a good guy,
-
good man, good husband, fears the Lord h. And then
-
from there he went back to Germany and then from
-
there he got his job in Pinang.
-
And then from Pinang he met me.
-
Because his pastor Passa Palen, so he went to Pasta
-
Palan's church in Pinang r GBC Reservoir Baptist Church.
-
Don't let me say anything more about that, but just kidding,
-
but Gird came.
-
I like Gert immediately because when I first met Gert
-
in Pinang, when Passa Palen introduced me to him, we were.
-
Eating at a banana leaf restaurant.
-
Okay, banana leaf is my middle name, and and I
-
must have it at least once a week, you know,
-
once a man lian now, because you know, I just
-
like it really bunge their you know, I like flooded
-
with curry. And my recently, my dietitian said you can't
-
flood your rice with so much curry because it's not.
-
Good for your heart. So I have it once a month.
-
So Girt.
-
Girt sat in front of me and he said, but
-
noana leave, you know, and he used his hand, uh
-
you know.
-
Then then when he.
-
Started using his head, I put away my four and spoon,
-
and I said, you know, I cannot lose to a German.
-
And so we were eating when I leave. Gird was
-
eating when I leave, and there he said, after this
-
we go Duran. And Gert's record of Duran is he
-
told me this, uh is eleven fruits. Eleven fruits, and
-
he says, why are you Chinese all believe in hot
-
and cold?
-
Hold and coler. I don't have any hot and cold.
-
I was just cool anyway. So he had eleven fruits.
-
My my, my, my record is only six right, six,
-
but he's eleven, okay anyway, So I guess he's more
-
Malayian than me. Uh.
-
So I like Gert immediately right okay?
-
Uh and uh he came to kal and Uh he
-
worked for sal Brand, but he was so good at
-
what he did. He knows exactly from start, that's how
-
to choose a stone.
-
All the way to you know, putting together.
-
Uh, the the final product. So he's the only one
-
in the whole of Malaysia to know how to do that.
-
And so immediately the boss of roy s Lgo said,
-
gm uh, not only to you know, have you seen
-
his designs? He can draw very well, so you can
-
draw whatever design you want. Now he's being asked by
-
roy s Lango, even though he's no longer working working
-
for Royce Sligo found it. They couldn't they didn't have
-
the expertise to do a tiara for one of our
-
sultan's wife here in Malaysia. So they called him and
-
so for the next one year he'll be drawing out
-
and putting the diamonds and all that because he knows
-
how to find it. He knows exactly the best kind
-
of jewels and all that. So he's going to he's
-
I mean, he's still very involved in Malaysia if he's
-
doing a tata for one of our sultans or sultanas.
-
And he said, there's another job that came to him
-
for two hundred and fifty thousand ring for a ring.
-
So so basically there are quite a few rich people
-
are in Malaysia who.
-
Only wants good to do their jewelry. So that's how
-
good it is.
-
But he's a man of God and he wants to
-
start a church now. Before he left uh Germany, left
-
Malaysia for Germany. And the reason why he even left,
-
of course, Royal is like oh, doesn't want to let
-
him go. Uh, they want to keep him until eight.
-
I think, I don't know because he's so good. So
-
he's trying to train people, but he says it's sometimes
-
a Malaysian mindset of doing jewelry is not so.
-
Not so excellent. Uh, there's a lot of like Tina
-
up upper attitude.
-
He says, I'm trying to train your your Malaysian guys,
-
but they don't learn the way I had to learn.
-
And he of course, forty five years ago they learned
-
the hard way. They learned through apprenticeship. And he says,
-
I don't know why I trained for one year. Still
-
don't get it anyway, So uh, Royal Slango wanted to
-
keep him, wanted to renew his visa.
-
But Doris had a stroke.
-
Uh and and uh in Germany, you know, there's this
-
big argument about the vaccine causing.
-
Some of these things.
-
But but anyway, Uh, she shared a stroke and uh
-
they cut shot their plans by.
-
Two years, two years.
-
But the thing is that Doris was in a place
-
where I think she got the best treatment. She was
-
in the car and her son, who is a military man,
-
looked at her and she a little bit and I
-
think she was showing some signs. And she said, Mama,
-
you okay? And uh Dorri said, yeah, I'm fine. You know,
-
Doris is very strong that she Doris drives the truck.
-
She has a truck license. Uh and strong, strong German lady.
-
I'm okay. And the son says, I don't think you are.
-
So he swung the car to the side called I
-
don't know what their number is, but it's nine, one
-
of those numbers. And the uh and and and they
-
asked why, I think my mother is having a stroke.
-
And so the ambulance came in five minutes. They picked
-
her up, took her straight to the hospital. Everything from
-
car to hospital was under twenty minutes. Very important in
-
the first half an hour when you have a stroke
-
was the first hour probably, And so she got the
-
treatment and she was well. Within about six months she
-
was well. She recovered well. So it was very important
-
and Gerd was very thankful that my wife was. She
-
was supposed to go back to Malaysia, come back to
-
Malaysia the next day. So the Lord allowed it to
-
happen the day before. I'm telling you, you know, this
-
is how good our body is. He allowed it to
-
happen the day before and the doctor that she met,
-
she said, you know, I got to catch I'm all right,
-
I'm all right. Doctor said you're not all right. And
-
Dori said, I got a fly tomorrow. And doctor said
-
in German way, that flight will leave tomorrow without you.
-
And because Doris is very strong, she needed a strong
-
doctor to tell her of that flight is leaving without you.
-
And so she said, wow, that doctor was so strong,
-
but she said, I think he meant business.
-
And so she recovered. And now their life is very,
-
very different.
-
But God has allowed all this to happen and has
-
has a plan for ex Germany. And even the week
-
before ex Germany was actually planted, I was in Germany already,
-
all right, I uh, and I was praying in my
-
I tell you what. The apartments very nice, but you know,
-
we were we had we had taken the guest room girl,
-
and Doris is in master bit room, Simon is in hall.
-
So I had to do my quiet time. Okay, it's
-
one of those things, you know. The Lord has helped
-
me not to miss so. But it's cold now in Germany.
-
Not that caller sixteen degrees, but and I usually I
-
mean I do my quiet time, I have to kneel.
-
So I went out to the balcony and it's very,
-
very cold.
-
The next day Dorries left me a big blanket because
-
she said I could see you shivering from the back.
-
I said, how do you see me? Actually there's a
-
window at the back of you. Everybody can see you
-
kneel outside at the balcony.
-
I was okay. I thought it was close, and I
-
knelt down and I was praying.
-
I think this was like five thirteen in the morning,
-
so that's why it's also extra call. And I said, Lord, actually,
-
why why ex Germania. You know sometimes it just hits
-
you and some of you even before you get married.
-
You know it's a woman, you know it's a man,
-
but you know there will still be one question when
-
am I sure this is the man? Am I sure
-
there's a woman? Every you know, it's it's like, it's
-
it's it's it's it's quite sure already, but you still
-
have this little doubt.
-
So I said, Lord, ex Germany.
-
Right now, it's only Gerd and Doris and maybe Simon
-
or Simeon or Simon I actually say Simon, and uh, Lord,
-
you know I'll only be here for one Sunday and
-
then I will be here next week. Actually today they're
-
having another church service, and I think they think that
-
two people are coming.
-
And one of the things for Malaysia is landing in
-
the morning and going.
-
Straight to church. Jude, No, Jude of ex Ampunk. Yeah
-
you know Jude. Yeah, anyway, Uh, he's he called ready Okay.
-
In fact, the spelling of Carle's sure is wrong. Okay,
-
so I send it to pass and it is Carl's rue.
-
Hey are you hey Carle's y. So anyway, so I
-
I pray, I said, Lord, why can really go on?
-
I know Good and Doris are very excited to start
-
X because they were part of X for ten years.
-
So they love the DNA. They love give your best
-
to God. They just on that spirit. They love it
-
giving your best to God always. They love that about
-
church because as a summary of your Christian life, give
-
your best.
-
To God always. Wow, you know, a summary of Christian life.
-
Gift to God your best always. And so they love that.
-
They say, I want to bring the back to Germany.
-
Goes Germany, they said, you know has gone far away,
-
not everyone, but you know as a country. You know,
-
when I first heard from the Lord that I should
-
start ex Germany. Sixteen years ago when I went to
-
Germany to speak in a church in Cela. Sella is
-
just about I think one half hours away from Hanover
-
Airport and then from from Sela, the pastor drove us
-
down on Autobad and it's the first time I was
-
on Attoban all the way down to Berlin. He has
-
two churches, so first time I spoke there was sixteen
-
years ago. And I loved the auto band because many
-
parts of the Autoband does not have a speed limit.
-
You know that when you see a speed limit, then
-
you better slow down.
-
Slow down to one hundred and twenty.
-
When you don't see a speed limits, all go okay,
-
if you're going at one hundred and sixteen hundred and eighty,
-
please take the slow lane or the middle lane because
-
cars are passing.
-
You by, all right.
-
The Mercedes bands the ferraris the BMW's okay, okay. The
-
minimum is two hundred ten to twenty. And the pastor
-
who's driving his Volkswagen, tried to say passa, I show you, okay,
-
we can go fast.
-
And he did about one hundred and ninety, but the
-
car was shivering.
-
It was not made for one hundred and you know
-
what I'm saying, Just because the numbers in your car
-
doesn't mean it was made for that. And behind him
-
people of fleshing A slow slow care move.
-
Asis one hundred and ninety.
-
So slow, okay, the slowest you can be on auto
-
bandy sixty if you if you drive less than sixty,
-
they will think you off the road. So but so,
-
the thing is uh is an experience.
-
You know.
-
I took a video so of the pastor you know, shivering,
-
you know, trembling under the annoying thing of the Holy Spirit.
-
No.
-
So first time I was there, me and my wife,
-
and the Ross spoke to me one day you will
-
planned here, I said, you know, my old heart wire Germany,
-
and it was Germany even before you came. That's that's
-
how I got it. And the Lord says, you know,
-
there's a man called Martin Luther in in Germany. I
-
think they spell it as all the day they pronounce
-
it as lud Luder Luder. We say Luther, right, Martin
-
luderuh and Matherin Luther was the one who actually found
-
out from the Bible that salvation is by faith and
-
so he were, and you know, did this famous thing
-
and nail you know, this particular whatever declaration that salvation
-
is by faith onto the door of the Catholic Church.
-
And then he got, of course ostracience and oscar stuff.
-
But that salvation by faith message, of course, it's always
-
been there the Bible. But someone stood up to the
-
organization of the day, to the institution of the day,
-
that thought, like, I think it's by work, So so
-
you know, and he says, no, no, it's only by
-
faith that you will be saved.
-
No works will ever save you. Can I hear a
-
good amen?
-
No works, No, how much you put in a donation box, no, no, no,
-
No is by faith. You've got to put your faith
-
in Jesus Christ. Can I hear good amen? He is
-
your savior, my savior. He's the only way truth in life.
-
No one comes to the Father except through him. John fourteen,
-
verse six. So this is important. Then he said to me, Kenneth,
-
the whole world has benefited from what came out of Germany,
-
and now Germany is struggling in their faith.
-
You got to give back.
-
You've got to give back to the nation that gave
-
us the fresh message that salvation is only by faith.
-
So I caught that so strongly I told my wife,
-
and my wife remembers it, said Kenneth. Wow, sixteen years
-
seventeen years later, we are doing this, We're stepping here,
-
dreams come true. But I'm still asking God why one
-
week after all this has happened, word of the Lord,
-
you know, conviction, you know, God moving gird and dorries
-
to come back earlier and all that, and I'm still saying,
-
why do we really need another church in Germany?
-
Okay, here we go. I'm going to tell you what.
-
God told me, he says, Kenneth, plant it, because after
-
you plant it, after you do it, even though you
-
don't know the answer to every question, you're asking, who
-
will come, who will be the musician, who will speak
-
on the fifth, teen of September, what would be the message,
-
who will come next week? You know, et cetera, et cetera. Okay,
-
so many questions? How many of you got questions even
-
here right now, not about extremity, but about your own life.
-
You've got questions you have, and most of the time
-
questions are un answered. Questions will stop us from doing
-
what God wants us to do.
-
How many of you think that God must answer all your.
-
Questions first before you start. Then you don't need faith,
-
you only need facts. But the Bible doesn't say and
-
the jud shall live by facts. It says the jazz
-
shall live by faith. Tewod Corinthians five seven says walk.
-
By faith, not by side.
-
So I'm still asking why because I'm still human, And
-
the Lord says, I'll tell you why, Kenneth, because as
-
soon as you start, see the thing is, God wants
-
us to start.
-
There's a big difference.
-
Between her When do I start? Ex Germany again eighth
-
of September last Sunday. There's a very big difference between
-
seven and September and eighth, just because we started. And
-
if you don't start, your eighth will look like the seventh.
-
And you will not go beyond nine.
-
In your dreams, and tenth will remain the same as
-
last year, and fifteenth we will not be talking about
-
the things you were talking about today. It's the starting.
-
It's to prepare the way for the Lord to move.
-
That will make the eighth totally different.
-
From the seventh. And the ninth is the day your
-
dreams begin. You with me, this is.
-
Very powerful, people, I want to tell you what God
-
spoke to me while on my knees on a cold floor,
-
Lord says, Kenneth, if you start, if you prepare the
-
way for me, then I can. That's where I got
-
the word. Now I can, Kenneth, if you start, now
-
I can. Let me see where my phone is because
-
I wrote it down on my notes. Okay, let me
-
tell you what he said to me, so that you
-
catch what he's trying to say. He said, Kenneth, if
-
you start, if you plant, if you prepare the way
-
for me, like Elijah prepared, like John the Baptist prepared.
-
They didn't know the future, they didn't have answers to
-
all the questions, but they started. They prepared the way
-
for me. By starting, you're saying, God, the food is
-
on the table. I don't know who will eat, don't
-
know who will come, but my job is to cook.
-
And I did exactly that.
-
Lord. Now there's twenty dishes on the table.
-
Now do what you want to because if I don't
-
put it on the table, then there's no story. The
-
table remains empty, my life remains the same as it's
-
always been for the last twelve months, twelve years. But
-
when you start saying, Lord, I'm willing to turn on
-
the fire, put on the quali, put on the oil.
-
I'm willing to get my hands dirty. I'm willing to
-
have my hair smell like run down. I am ready
-
to have my whole hole, my lounge, my reception smell
-
like Malaysian food. Lord, I don't know who you're going
-
to bring, but I'm going to do what you have
-
caught me to do. So this is why he said
-
to me, Kenneth. If you start, I can now touch
-
the people I want to touch. I can heal the
-
people I want to heal. I can reach the people
-
I want to reach. I can revive the people I
-
want to revive. I can save the people I want
-
to save. I can do the miracles I've always wanted
-
to do. I can make disciples who are not yet disciples.
-
I can raise leaders who don't even know their leaders today.
-
I can send workers that I've always wanted to send,
-
but because you haven't started, that's why I can't. I
-
can create testimonies I've always wanted to create. All you
-
have to do is do your part, because I will
-
change hearts that are hard to change. And I can
-
transform situations. That are impossible. Let me be God. Let
-
me be God. Let me be God. I can now,
-
I can say the Lord. Let me look at gerd
-
and Doris. Now very quickly, let's put a name up.
-
So girl, Doris, they didn't know when to start. Doris
-
was actually both of them are part of a church
-
called Gospel House, and they went because Good and Doris
-
they can't Tahana, they can't stand not serving. So in fact,
-
the pastor in Gospel House, he's a German or so
-
he said, you are the first couple who has come
-
to my church, Gospel Houser, who want to serve the
-
very first week, I have not found a person like you.
-
They're on firemen said no, how can we not serve
-
the House of God on Sunday? We must serve the
-
House of God. So the pastor allowed them up to
-
the stage where they are given.
-
Now three or four responsibilities.
-
One of the responsibilities is God and Doris drive one
-
van each sixty nine years old sixty five driving vans
-
to pick up young people.
-
To church. They do it.
-
Twice a month. Why are not four times a month?
-
Because they said, Pastor, I just want to remind you
-
why we're here. We're here to give our bears to
-
serve the Lord, but we're also here to start X.
-
So I don't want to do so much that I
-
have to disappoint you one day when I had to leave.
-
So we will serve, but we will also raise up people.
-
Great Dorris was very clear of the vision, and so
-
was the pastor. So a week or two before I came,
-
the pastor already called Good and Doris Abbah to pray
-
for them befront of the whole church.
-
Great Dorris will soon plan X.
-
So we want to bless them today because we don't
-
know when their pastor comes what the details will be.
-
When I went, I also didn't know the foo details.
-
I just asked, Girt, are you ready to start?
-
Say? Of course, I'm ready, Pastor, I'm ready. If you
-
are ready, I'm ready. Now.
-
How do I know that God is ready? Three main
-
criteria that God is ready to plan the church? I
-
know by three criteria Number one and God is about
-
ready to do something great. He always raises a man
-
or a woman up. You read the Bible. He wants
-
to do something great. He raises Abraham. I want to
-
do something great. He raises Moses. He wants doing something great.
-
He raises Daniel all the time. When God is about
-
doing something great, he will raise up a man and
-
a woman. That is most of the time the most
-
impossible thing in human language, because you cannot convince. You
-
cannot convince a multi millionaire to give up his business,
-
for example, to go and serve the Lord until the
-
Lord touches heart. You can't convince a young person who
-
is like, ah, I just want to party, to sacrifice
-
a party for the purpose. It's very hard to find
-
a young person like that, very hard. But when God
-
touches our hearts up, he gets the man, he gets
-
the woman, number one, number two. He always raises a
-
team so that one man or one woman will become
-
two or three. So Simon who picks us up from
-
the airport two and a half hours away from his house,
-
he picks u up from Frankfort Airport in the car
-
for about how long did it take us to get
-
about one half hours nineteen minutes from Frankfort Airport to
-
Cow's Ruher.
-
And we're talking, I said, Simon.
-
Somethless, I go from Simon to Simon when I feel
-
German as Simon, and when I feel you know Malaysian Simon. Simon,
-
actually I didn't know that you were going to be
-
part of X Germany, he said, past I sludy know,
-
but two or three things. One is that we're spoken
-
to you and Bassandra and we know that in our
-
hearts we really love X and we want a part
-
of it. Just don't know when, don't know how to
-
know you know where, he said. In fact, he said,
-
we pray to the Lord, and Lord showed us Frankfort.
-
And now this one is messaging us out because he
-
is nineteen minutes away from Frankfort.
-
Said Lord.
-
I said, I thought you said Frankfort. And then this
-
is Cow's Ruher. So how you can't even pronounce it?
-
Took me about two days. How rule.
-
No Kyle's Burger. I know that's what bad thinking about.
-
But now it's just kidding.
-
Help It is the one that makes sense. Col's Ruher. Okay,
-
so he says, he says, He says, to be in
-
the car.
-
You know, I I'm I'm still I'm still having questions, Pastor.
-
How many of you in this room has questions? I
-
still have questions, Pastor. I thought it was Frankfort. I said,
-
where you went to the Frankfort to pick me up from
-
the airport, so, you know. And then he drives me
-
down nineteen minutes and he says, secondly, I spoke me
-
and my wife spoke to Goodden Doris and good and
-
Doris says, come down, come down to Col's ruher find
-
a job here, you know. And so he says, I
-
don't want to be influenced by manas I want to
-
be influenced by God. But you know, thinking about good
-
and Doris, you know, in their late sixties, you know, doing.
-
This for the first time. This, this this couple is
-
our oldest.
-
Missionary in excess. I've never seen someone so, you know,
-
mature in age. Yeah, come on, those of you are
-
your six season.
-
Don't give up. Okay, don't give up.
-
Okay, all right, God has got still something in stall
-
for you.
-
All right, amen. Okay.
-
So I was just shown the time, but I'm I'm
-
looking at her saying this this is introduction.
-
Okay. So now I'll get there. I'll get there, okay.
-
So uh and then he says, uh and uh, finally, passer,
-
I'm here picking you up from the airport because I
-
feel like spending this next six days with you. I
-
think I'll get a clearer direction from the Lord if
-
I can just spend time with you hear from you.
-
So he said, I want to spend as much time
-
with you in Passendra and see what God.
-
Has to say.
-
So he slept in the hall, as I said, actually
-
in the hall. The first day in the hole was
-
too hot, so he slept in the balcony. They have
-
two balconies. So he stepped me in the balcony on
-
what do you call it?
-
That the air better? You want to blow on.
-
Inflatable better, big one and you know so, so he
-
stepped outside there and then by the third day he
-
went out to sixteen degrees.
-
Then he came in.
-
But that's that's why Simon came along. So I said
-
to Girt and Norris, Girt, Doris, are you ready to start?
-
They said yes, But why can we started to thirty?
-
Doris says, And I said, oh yeah, Doris, also because
-
we still have responsibilities in their church. I said, oh,
-
I say okay, I said, but you have to say
-
no when you start church, you have to say you
-
cannot be in two day ten tomorrow to thirty next week,
-
to thirty next week ten You've got to be consistent.
-
If you are to grow anything, you've got to be consistent.
-
Consistency is very important in wanting to grow, wanting to develop,
-
wanting to be better.
-
Consistent.
-
You want to lose mead consistent, you want to do
-
anything consistency.
-
You want to have a good habit overcoming a bad habit. Consistency.
-
If you're smoking and you want to give it up, you.
-
Cannot say Okay, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, I smoke Tuesday, No
-
canno one cannot You just gotta be called so uh
-
dori Is said, you know, I think as a woman,
-
women always feel more motherly, more responsible towards things that
-
they have. Men are more like, okayl I know we
-
can just turn the pustle the puzzle understands one I
-
don't read, I know, which is what Gird said. Gird said,
-
you know do is you know the person knows to
-
be print Forest last week? Really? You know? And uh So, anyway,
-
I just want to say this in all my sharing
-
with you, I just want you to catch that we've
-
got to come to a place in life where we
-
just start, where we just do it, where we just
-
take that step of faith, where we just say whatever,
-
But to do it's scary, and I've got questions, but
-
I've got and this thing that you do is just
-
a preparation so that God can do the rest. And
-
if you don't, then either God can't. And I don't
-
like to say God can't go Bles's nothing that God can't,
-
but he only can't because He wants to work through you.
-
So if you take too long to start and to
-
make preparation for him, he will then one day have
-
to choose someone else that is not so nice.
-
So just there at that, at that reception that.
-
We hadd Dorris and I was able to come to
-
a place whereby let's just start. And Doris look at
-
her husband. Okay okay, okay, okay, okay okay. I think
-
what she's saying, okay about ten times she's trying to
-
convince herself. Okay okay, okay, oh okay, okay, okay, okay,
-
okay okay. She look her husband and I think twice
-
you look her husband, husband like her husband influence, you know?
-
Oh okay okay okay, okay okay.
-
She would say, okay Lah, you know ten years of
-
being in Malaysia, okay Lah, if you look at me.
-
Is it passa? Is it? Yeah? You know you just
-
got you got one start because it's and.
-
So this was important, and it was important because there's
-
a man called Simon who also needed it to start.
-
So can you see by starting, you get a new gut.
-
And Doris, especially at Doris, she was very willing, but
-
again motherly instinct. Hey, you women will have this one.
-
They're not wrong, you know, they just have this, but
-
you know, and he husband's work. Come on tomorrow next year, okay,
-
not January. Started early in the year.
-
And re first, what what is September eight?
-
September eight eight is number on you beginning? It's God's time,
-
not out time. But women, And I'm not blaming you,
-
and I'm saying this. I'm saying that you are very caring,
-
You're very responsible. And then's why I go, Oh, I
-
know I will upset a few friends, you know if
-
I do that, you know, but I got still something.
-
You know, I got still at dance club.
-
You know I haven't I'm supposed to my carena with them,
-
and now we're only halfway through. I only have to
-
hear you know, I haven't done her give me money.
-
You know, I haven't done to help myself? Can I
-
finish this commitment?
-
Yeah? I understand, I understand.
-
It's not it's not that you're bad and guys, it's
-
not that you're also ruthless and uncaring and you know
-
non compassionate is just the timing of God and both
-
as My wife got.
-
To look go like how past you're sitting next to mesage.
-
Yeah, So that means that even this visit was important
-
because I had to sit in front of them and
-
say how are you know, sometimes go or bring people
-
into your life out to say how and you think
-
it's pressure, but it's not. It's something that you need
-
to go like, actually, how the difference between twenty twenty
-
four y twenty five is how? The difference between your
-
past and your future is how? What do we do
-
with today? What do we do with the opportunities are
-
there before us? Are you also with me? So we
-
have a new gird of nourris because we started.
-
We have a new Simon and Micaeh.
-
Because Simon, by the seventh day he was after church
-
on Atha. He stayed with us for six days. Seventh
-
day he's going back to his wife, he said. Pastor
-
Canneth I want to tell you that this last six
-
seven days with you, I am now very clear and
-
confident that is the Lord that wants is here. And
-
then you know what he did. The wife had a
-
call from a company that wants to offer her a job.
-
In Cal's rule, I'm.
-
Telling you right now.
-
You probably don't understand this, but things begin to happen
-
when you make decisions.
-
They don't happen before. I know, because before it's like.
-
God, you showed me everything first, then I go, no,
-
he doesn't again. He wants you to live by faith.
-
So you know how exciting it is to start. The
-
excitement comes from you start seeing God move. And she
-
was it faster. My wife was offered a job that
-
is specifically for her, and the boss is willing to wait.
-
But not too long, I say, And I tell you
-
why not too long, Simon, is because in your plans
-
you want to come here in January, but Exchange needs
-
you here asap.
-
And that's why some.
-
Press you will move. Someone's harder to cause you to
-
make a dicision.
-
A sap is not your plan, but his plan. Are
-
you willing to change?
-
And Simone looked at me and said, past, if you
-
ask me this one week ago.
-
No, I'm not willing.
-
But one week with you and talking to you and
-
hearing testimonies and hearing from God, I can say now
-
I'm willing to change my plans for His plans. So
-
we got a new Simon just by starting. I want
-
to believe that I will have a new you, and
-
you will have a new you. But before this year ends,
-
I don't know what God is challenging you do how
-
he stepping causing you or stirring in your heart and
-
causing you to even consider. And yet you say to me,
-
but Pastor, there's you know, twenty one questions I ever
-
answer it. But I got confirmation because number one, he
-
gave me. God gave me Gerd and Doris. Then God
-
gave me a team in Simon and Micah, and then
-
God gave me a venue.
-
Let me tell you about the venue very quickly.
-
The reason why we couldn't start was because Gerd and
-
Doris were staying in and apartment rented by their daughter
-
for them.
-
At the back.
-
It is you know those kinds like dual key on
-
the housing door key and in Germany do worky. That
-
room was so small, the bathroom was so small they
-
just passed. We definitely couldn't start changed there. I don't
-
know how to tell you so how small it is.
-
It's maybe twice the size of our Kampong house up there. Okay,
-
I mean it's smaller, it's more I think they told
-
me it was. Was it thirty five meters or okay?
-
Okay.
-
Basically it's a hotel room cow size all right, and
-
bathroom you know when you go in the hotel bed
-
maybe one chair, one table, and the bathroom there's a
-
size of their room.
-
Okay.
-
But because we are now praying and preparing, God when
-
chose us when to start ex Germany, the Lord opened
-
the door and I will I can still remember because
-
I was in the Exportswana and I was about radio
-
to stand up to speak. I told you the story
-
I think I was. I was on the seat and
-
buzz Lasos was introducing me, about to say, uh, we're
-
going to have our founding sea and pasters to come.
-
And as he's talking that, my phone begins to buzz
-
for the telegram and I'm looking. I'm looking at telegram
-
is Gird. Gird says Bastard. We have found the perfect place.
-
I rejoiced, and then Sally, I heard my name, Kenneth Chin.
-
There it's me, and I wasn't hearing the whole introduction.
-
Hey, this is Mentor.
-
So I came up and I said, hey, guys, can
-
I just read out girds telegram? The houser now from
-
thirty square meters to one hundred and twenty five square
-
meters with two balconies, one which I use for quiet time,
-
the other one that Simone slept out.
-
There a beautiful garden outside.
-
The owner's tall. The owner's tall, Gert and Dorris. As
-
long as you bring life to this place, I'll be happy.
-
We are going out to the gardener plucking fresh figs,
-
figs and eating like that. I don't eat figs or no,
-
I don't, but this fresh green, nice sweet figs we're plucking. Wow,
-
I said, Lord, is this how the garden of Eden
-
feels like? And they're plucking tomatoes? You know?
-
So they get this garden that they can use.
-
And twenty five meters a square meters I should say
-
of living space, two rooms, two bathrooms.
-
Stuff like that.
-
No not, I say only one bathroom law, which was
-
of course for me a mission tripler. After after six
-
days of being in a place. In fact, when Doris
-
and Girt took us out on the eighth night to
-
celebrate our anniversary for the ninth but the ninth was
-
on Monday, so eighth night he took us out and
-
it was a beautiful villa, a wonderful restaurant, and Girden
-
Doris just lean over to us and say, it passed
-
us so sorry. I know that we could have put
-
you up in a hotel, but you were so gracious
-
to stay with us. We just wanted as much time
-
as we could could with you and Passandra to fellowship
-
with you, uh to you know, do you hear your
-
heart and pray with you? And so forgive us for
-
the one bathroom situation. It's not easy, you know. So
-
a new Simon, a new Micah, a new apartment, beautiful
-
apartment and and and uh, you know, we ran and
-
bought a TV. Okay, a girl wanted a sixty five inch,
-
said Pottle, so people can see. I said, I can
-
see even fifty five. And we got, you know, we went,
-
we went and shopped for it. We went shopped for
-
a sound bar so that people can hear. And you know,
-
it's just exciting when you start. You see God's hand.
-
When you start, you see God's favor. Oh there you go,
-
sixty five inch and a happy German. His wife was like,
-
why you buy so big? The wife just brought into
-
you know, why are you buy so big? And girl says, no,
-
this is the smallest I can find, the first lie.
-
And then of course I prayed for him of that.
-
Uh and uh.
-
And then after when we put the TV, we say
-
he should have bought big GIRLA. So we drilled the
-
wall ourselves, you know all that this this, this is,
-
this is the door that if you open, of course,
-
is the cool ever come in? And just right outside there, Yeah,
-
this is my meeting with the worship past's office because we.
-
Were talking about if.
-
If Simon or Simon is not there, if I'm not
-
there and different ones are not there, how is gonna
-
lead in worship. So we're gonna now design something to
-
send worship songs so that they can just sing like
-
ka okay, something that you know, you know what I mean,
-
I mean, just guided guided songs.
-
Okay, all right, So yeah.
-
It's always worth there's always food in gird in Dorris's house. Uh.
-
And then outside there's the gardener and the gardens about
-
maybe one acre uh and all kinds of fruit trees
-
out there.
-
So every day we did that.
-
So, ladies and gentlemen, before I draw towards the last lap,
-
there's a new girt and Doris, there is a new
-
Simon and Micah there is a new apartment. And I'm
-
on my knees praying as if God, now touch the neighbors.
-
He says, of course I'm going to because you start,
-
I'm going to touch the neighbors. Now, you didn't start
-
hunging to touch the neighbors. So that we pray a
-
lot of things that, but it's really what was to
-
start you do? If God was Malayia, I'd be like,
-
you do you do?
-
I can work to you.
-
Let me show you the photo of that that treat me.
-
Bassendra and Debbie Debbie Debbie. Ladies and gentleman knew both
-
me and Bassender thirty years ago when she was a
-
student in Taylors. She came up to a y a.
-
I knew her brother first. Her brother's name is calm Ming.
-
Calm Ming. Now I just found out it's in Kyoto.
-
So when I go to Osaka next month, I will
-
get to meet Calming hopefully because I think he sort
-
of like backsided.
-
Uh.
-
And when I first spoke in ePol, calm Ming was
-
a youth leader. And when Calming came to Kdu to study,
-
Camming became the CF president. And as he president, he
-
remembered me and he said, Pascan, would you want to
-
speak for KDU camp. I spoke that year and three
-
years after that in a row. That first year we
-
met a backsident guy called Ryan Foo. And Ryan Fuo
-
was back Sidan and he came because calm Ming was
-
his good friend from EPO. And Ryan came to the
-
camp I spoke at and got revived. And now Ryan
-
is the pastor of Harvest Gen Church. Okay, if you
-
don't start, God cannot do. Are yours do with me?
-
He's very important. But Debbie, Debbie backslided big time. She
-
told me and Passendra, I went around the world. I
-
was in the world, out of the world. I was
-
back in the world pastor. I was messed up. But
-
during the COVID time, the Lord just you know, I
-
had I had nothing else to do at home, and
-
you know, I cried out to God and God met
-
me in a very fresh and new way.
-
And she said, I became a new person.
-
And she said, I haven't been back to church at
-
all for two years.
-
And she said, when I.
-
Heard that ax Germany was starting and that you and
-
passenger was coming, she said, I had to make this trip.
-
And so on that day she came driving two hours.
-
The Dories already knows Debbie because they've been in touch,
-
and Doris said, wow, Debbie is coming. She got to
-
the train for two and a half hours. Wow, this
-
morning's coming.
-
Do you know two and a.
-
Half a half hours. Your church starts at ten? What
-
time you have to come out? Okay, but before that
-
you gotta get ready. Prep this time round. On the
-
eighth of September, her husband, who's a non believer, said,
-
I'll drive you. We'll say it again and again until
-
you're until you become bored. And I hope you don't
-
you become bored if I If we didn't start, there
-
is no Debbie. There is no husband driving her to church.
-
Do you understand the stuff that God has planned? When
-
you start? You will not see it until that day.
-
He has got so much more we didn't know in
-
one day. Debbie says, Pastor thirty years ago was the
-
last time I met you. I have come back to
-
the Lord, but I have not come back to church.
-
Thank you for Satday, Germany. Do you know that God
-
can start that just for one person? Of course he can't.
-
He went all the way to the well with one woman,
-
and that one woman brought the whole city.
-
He would do that.
-
Jesus would leave the ninety nine in search of the
-
one because he loves us so much.
-
He loves Debbie.
-
And Debbie comes and she's in tears the whole service,
-
from worship to the n y because she's not been
-
back to church for two years, actually all together thirty years.
-
And I'm there saying, wow, just starting, ex Germany, just
-
starting can cause God to do this one miracle for
-
this one person. Isn't it worth it? But he's even more.
-
Let me look at the next photo, the one with
-
the whole group. That's her husband. I can't pronounce his
-
name and I don't even remember it. Let's just call
-
him Franchois because he's from France.
-
Monjeu, monjouj ten. Pierre, Oh, oh.
-
You're calling him, Pierre said, okay, Pierre, No, don't know
-
his name, but I'm so sorry. He hasn't had a
-
long French name. Okay, I'm still trying to get my
-
French correct, like like like how you you know you
-
people will want to order Croisson, you know, but but
-
actually it's Croissant. Uh So, so I really tried to
-
struggle with Croisson his name. So but it's almost he
-
was shortening. He said, just call me, just call me
-
something right, And I said, even now I couldn't get it.
-
But that man is very precious.
-
Why because he also has not stepped into church, and
-
he tells his wife.
-
Don't go to church, La, you know, don't go to church.
-
He has a house in France, brought his wife to
-
France for two years while the house in Germany was
-
being renovated. Uh. They had a little bit of a
-
struggle in France because I had to stay with the
-
in laws and Debbie was not used to it. So
-
their marriage was really under a lot of tension. And
-
then finally they came back, came back to their new
-
house two hours away, two and a half hours away,
-
say passed, you must, you must come and stay in
-
our house. One days in black Forest. I only no
-
black forest cake. When he there's my favorite cake? Any
-
other black forest. But she said, we built a very
-
beautiful house and you know it's it's wood wood, you know,
-
the kind of like cottage house. So I said, one
-
day I'll come. One day, I'll come, by the grace
-
of God. But that man said today I'll drive you.
-
And then he didn't come for the service, but he
-
came for the hospitality. Thank you Jesus for espresso. The
-
wife tried because when they don't come to church, and
-
they did, don't want to come there. We'll just wait
-
for you in the car.
-
Pierre, I got, come on the level.
-
Ah, Okay, honey, would you like to come up in
-
because she's expecting a no idea which had to come
-
up in this fellowship.
-
You know, there's food on the table.
-
Okay, comes up and he has a great time fellowshiping
-
with all of us. And then I found out that
-
he likes pickaball and I said, I'm a pickaball champion.
-
I act like it. Like course, my my pickuball bat
-
is expensive.
-
Those of us who want to just shake our opponent
-
up a littleit we just have to buy expensive records first. Yeah,
-
but actually don't know how to play, went mister Frenchman.
-
God is saying you don't know, but I wanted to
-
reach him. You didn't even know his name before you
-
start the ex Germany. I knew his name when he
-
was born. I knew that forty five years later, he
-
will come to ex Germany if you only prepared the way.
-
His son is called Marcus, and as you can see,
-
he's already very comfortable.
-
Marcus.
-
And Marcus knows a libert of Malay. Just came back
-
to Epo to visit Debbie's parents in Epo. And I
-
want to tell you, ladies, gentlemen, just look at this photo.
-
Is ex germaney worth it? And I'm going to look
-
at you right now and say, there's so much more
-
in stare? Can I prophesy over you? There's so much
-
more in store for your life. You don't belong in
-
the grave yet. No, you should live, and you should
-
live life to its fullest. Let me show you another slide.
-
The next slide is the name. There's another name, right, Matthias.
-
I want to tell you about Matthias. Matthias is sixty
-
four or sixty five years old, German to the max.
-
They tell me.
-
Doris, and God tells me Matthias doesn't speak a word
-
of English except hello, Is it me you're looking for?
-
No?
-
No, Matthias, Matthias, Matthias. He lives alone. Sometimes a friend
-
or two visits him. He's alone. He lives on the pension,
-
stays upsas Matthias. God knows Matthias. Before ex Germany was
-
ever even dreamed off. He knows Matthias. Let me tell
-
you about Matthias. Matthias heard the worship music at ten
-
o'clock coming from downstairs. He wrote to God and Dories
-
at ten twenty five, when I worshiped this finish, he says,
-
that is the most beautiful music I've ever heard. And
-
Dorris wrote back to him, you must come and join
-
us one day. Do you know how worship music is
-
very powerful? And then Matthias met Gert at the front.
-
When Gert came back, you know, got had to rent
-
a car to take us to the airport, so he
-
rented a car. As he was walking in, Matthias was there. Oh, good,
-
go to talk. And you know what Matthias added, He
-
told Doris, most beautiful music.
-
You know what he edited? He said, good.
-
I had a friend who came at nine something in
-
the morning, and at ten we were supposed to go
-
out together to do something. And as we were taking
-
my keys to go to the door, and my friend
-
was with me, your music started. And when I heard it,
-
I told my friend. She told sit down, now, let's
-
listen to this. And I listened until you finish, and
-
I was so happy, and then only we ran. Now,
-
God knows Matthias, and God knows the people downstairs, and
-
God knows the neighbors. Let me talk to you about
-
the neighbors, very very quickly, very quickly, can I talk
-
to you about the neighbors. They smoke ganja. I was
-
on my knees in prayer. I said, Lord, your presence
-
has a very unfamiliar Oh lord o Lord. I was
-
getting high myself.
-
Yeah, heck you Jesus No, I was gonna get high.
-
But I know the smell because my father was on
-
ganja for twenty twenty five years. I know that smells
-
so well because I lighted up my father's ganja bong.
-
I know that smell.
-
And a guy who was so excited he thought nobody
-
saw him. And I'm there on my knees, really my knees,
-
and he's just about maybe twenty feet away, and the
-
aroma just came.
-
The burning of incense. Listen, and then I began to
-
pray for you.
-
The starting of ex Germany in this place will also
-
one day, as the Ganja aroma came over, so will
-
the presence of God's aroma go over there. You must
-
believe people, You must believe why ex Germany? Because God
-
knows so much more than you. He knows the people
-
around you. He knows the people under you, he knows
-
the people above you.
-
He knows.
-
There was a Matthias who's gonna go out at ten o'clock,
-
but he stayed back anyway because for the first time
-
he heard worship. And then later on when talked to
-
him about church, he said, I was hurt by my
-
previous churches.
-
Was hurt and I.
-
Never want to step in to church ever again.
-
Only God knows there. But here's worship.
-
And he loves it and true relationship. He doesn't have
-
to go to a traditional church one he has friends.
-
We church downstairs. Only God new that. Let's close. Let's
-
let's go with the remaining slides. I just want to
-
make sure I don't miss anything. All we needed to
-
do was start. Somebody say amen, Let God do the rest.
-
What else?
-
Jesus said to them, fill the water pots with water,
-
and they fill.
-
Them up to the brim. That's all.
-
That's all, Hey, servants, can you just do this I'm
-
about to do to the next muscle. So what are
-
we supposed to do? Just fill up the water boss,
-
you water hats are easier and not just fill up,
-
fill up to the brim. You mean, we don't have
-
to do mumbo dumbo, hallelujah.
-
You know, we don't have to do anything else.
-
No, just feel the water, boss, to the brim. Let
-
me do the rest. And so they took it. They
-
took the water that was made into wine. And you
-
know the rest of the story. The wedding was saved,
-
the bride and bridegroom, their face was saved, their reputation
-
was say why, because Jesus was in the house. He
-
was ready to do something amazing, just like he's about
-
to do something amazing in your life.
-
Come on, can I hear good? Amen? Come on, amen,
-
I hear somebody say I receive it. Good good. And
-
of course there's teacher on the other side.
-
You know, their teachers right opposite the apartment where Doris works.
-
That those teachers will come to hear about Jesus. So
-
let's finish. Let's finish now I can. God says, reach
-
the neighbors, heal the say, make disciples, raise leaders, plan
-
more churches, reach people.
-
Now I can. This is the extra story.
-
It's always been like that because at the communing was
-
started two plus years ago.
-
We are here.
-
And more, oh will be accomplished by God's grace. Somebody say, Amen,
-
this church is a church that has stories, a story
-
that will bring about many other stories that has been written,
-
is being written and will be written.
-
It is a gift that keeps on giving.
-
As long as we abide in him. Jesus came and
-
spoke to them, saying, all authority has been given to
-
me in heaven and on earth. The go therefore and
-
make disciples of all nations. That's what the Lord told
-
us to do. And then he promises, and I will
-
be with you always. You start, I'll be with you.
-
You start, I'll be with you.
-
You do it.
-
I'm around you, I'm with you. I will never leave you,
-
nor forsake you. God keeps showing that He's with us,
-
and that's really all we need to know to keep
-
going on.
-
I'm reading for my slights.
-
Now as I go to a close, God Lord keeps
-
showing that he's with us. What's God asking of you today?
-
How can you make preparations for him to move in
-
and through your life?
-
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers, Si says, Questions never end, doubts
-
never cease, fear never stops. You know.
-
There was a question that Peter had for Jesus.
-
And this is the last scripture I'm going to turn
-
us to, and then I'm going to close John twenty one,
-
twenty to twenty two.
-
John twenty one, twenty to twenty two. Here we go,
-
We're going to read it. Peter had a question.
-
Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved, following,
-
who also had leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord,
-
who is the one who betrays you? Verse twenty one. Peter,
-
seeing him, said to Jesus, But Lord, what about this man?
-
What about?
-
Here's the question? What about this man? And this is
-
what Jesus had to say. Jesus said to him, if
-
I will that he remained till I come.
-
What is that to you? You follow me? What is
-
that to you? Just means this.
-
It's not your business, Lord, But how if only a
-
few people come next week?
-
In extremity, not your business. But Lord, however I start EXK.
-
Go to comuning and only ten people come, Not your business,
-
but Lord, how if no.
-
Lives are changed? Not your business?
-
But how Lord, if there's not enough people or our musicians,
-
it's not your business.
-
You start.
-
I'll bring you start, I'll touch you start, and our race,
-
new worship leaders.
-
You start, and our race, new backup singers.
-
You start, and our race, new x TV people knew
-
the sound people you start, And I will touch families,
-
and I will heal the sick.
-
You start, and I will. Now I can say the Lord.
