a missions before and sign up for missions before?

I personally been myself to quite a few missions. Actually,

I'm going for one mission next week URDP with my

homes U with my home meetes as well, going there

and there and after that the next month, after the WAKM,

I'm going for Indonesia Paru as well. Sorry, no, that's fine,

that's fine. Uh, going to Pocambaro as well. Quit missions.

I personally believe in missions. I love missions. I celebrate

uh people doing missions as well, and I believe that

missions is actually actually our full time job. You know,

my always says that you know, teach me before. I

said when I was young. You know when you always

ask when you come out from UNI, right, what do

you want to do and be a doctor? I want

to become a computer programmer. I want to be a manager.

I don't know what you know, it's such a difficult

question to ask to a young adult.

Reson't it? So? Then he taught me this.

Remember now still remember any job you do, it's always

part time. The only full time job you have is

serving God. Yeah, everything else is part time. We think

it reverser, everything else is part time. The only full

time job is serving God. And it's true because our

first employer is also our creator.

but we are actually God's resource. You know. He is

not the HR department. You know, he's the Creator department.

You know, we actually are employed by him, creator by

employed by him in his image.

We wear his badge, you know.

You know when we created our employment letter, already sign

everything ready, you know we are meant to serve him.

You know, a whole the earth is our office, you know.

And now we're each and every one of us has

been given a department, a place to do, and a

commandment to do. Job description has been given by God.

Adam signed it, okay, and not sign it like Adam record?

and multiply it there's always been God's planning. So people

forget and and now we live our lives ready, and

now it's like we're doing our own jobs.

It's like, oh, serving God. It's like you are spurning

your main employer right now.

So that's a very very important thing about missions. And

I thought I start off today missions maybe by engaging

with you guys, okay, And I'm gonna break down maybe

some key assumptions that we typically have.

So I'm going to do a quiz. Anybody up for

put up the answer. So I'm gonna ask the first question. Okay,

what is the current world world population standing at?

world population, how many percent do the Christian religion makeup?

there is a God, but they don't care to know

in Latin means ignorant. Actually, actually they literally makes ignore,

they ignore, they don't care. Okay, So and fifteen percent

you think that it's still unreached by the gospel? Who

says sixty percent? You say sixty percent? Seventy percent? Wow,

seventy percent are rich?

the past one or two decades? Right, do you believe

the number of missionary have increased or decreased? Who says

increased over the past few decades? Increases? Increase? Who says increase? Hey,

thousand missionaries. In year two thousand we have one point

one million missionaries. So over two decades, our missionaries have

dropped by half, while we still have forty three percent unreached.

Makes sense, So some of these things affects are get

into your mind. Right now, number of missionaries are decreasing

by a lot, I mean rate by half, while we

have still forty three percent.

Almost half the world's still unricher. Okay.

Now, in terms of the number of years missionaries, sir,

what do you think is the average year that people

serve as missionaries. Okay, what is the average years they serve? Seven, ten, fifteen, five?

Is there a good number? Do you think five is good?

We have four hundred than five hundred five people, sir, five,

they serve five years. What happens then turn over very fast?

You know, then you're very fast enough. Five years is.

Very fast thing, and I know that. Let's say you know,

after five years, then what they do? Okay?

So the average okay, that people serve okay, fifty or

fifty percent of them there're serf five years or less.

So in five years, fifty percent would have dropped out.

Okay.

Actually the missions we needed them to stay a lot longer, Lord,

lot longer. You need to stand into a generation, a

few generations to raise up. After five years, fifty percent

of them drop off already.

Okay. And what do you think is the biggest reason?

No money, Not just bory Bordom.

They actually struggle from lack of support and connection with

their home church.

Okay.

So if I sad like Steven, now you go away

far away, send you to thing back do there?

So for five years, what his main struggle would be

is to relate himself with the church that has sent him.

And because you are in the mission field, you are alien,

technically alien in the foreign place. You don't come back,

or you cannot find a place of belonging or identity,

identity or what you're doing.

You fall off.

You don't know what you're doing. Their struggle. This is

across all the missionaries. So this is the stats. I

got one. Okay, fascinating Not money. You a money, Yes,

is important, but money has never been a major problem

in the Bible, you know, never been you know, God

has always provided, you know, But yet what is the

connection the support? Why do you think that we do

have mission conference?

Yeah? Why do you think we have missions conference?

Money is important, yes, with the support, but why why

do we bring our missionaries back? Why do we need

to constantly make the effort, their hard working effort to

always connect back and not just bring them back. Have

to always link the present church to the mission work.

You can say it is necessary, you know, it's integraling

on because the fact that they are saying and they

don't connected the whole body are it's a it's actually

a strategy for the enemy to cut them off. Yeahmen, right,

it's for you to cut them off, and there is

where they all the work you and do all your work.

You can do three for five years that you do,

but after five years that you fall off. The enemy

also quite good at business planning. Uh huh.

And I mean it's very very smart. Also.

One's what I'm saying. You know, so there is a

very alarming stats. You know, so a lot of times

are you come to mission, you come to mission conferences.

It's necessary a it's biblical one. You know, it's a

biblical thing. If you look into the Book of X right,

every Paul was sent from rich Church, the apostle Paul, Jerusalem.

Church, Antioch. How many trips did he have? How many

mission trips he had? Three?

Wow, well done, you're alone. Every time after he mission

proper submission, proper report, proper governance of any church. There

must be order, there must be accountability, there must be

a heart that what you do must link back to

Paul knew that he will never encourage anyone to go

and riot and you know, go and fight against the government.

Let me ask you this question, Okay, since we're talking

about you know, structure and submission and government. How many

of you saw the Olympic opening the famous Last Supper.

Someone was texting me and hey, how people were asking us,

you know, like, how should we feel about this? Should

Christians go and protest, go up to the embassy there?

And even a majority of faivor asking us to do

something about it? You know, people with social media was commenting, Hey,

you gotta to do something about it. Let me ask you, then,

what is the proper biblical response to this? If your

friends and your colleagues ask you, what should you do?

Should we talk more loudly in Facebook protests like every

other else, that we have a right we.

Need to magnore. If not, Christianity is going to fall

off the earth. So insulting.

How it's very important, you know it all, very very

important that you know it all. You cannot just assume

it or you cannot. If you don't, you will follow

the world's way of doing things, and you fall into

a trap. You know what someone saying, and it's very

difficult also because it's very very insulting. Actually true, get on,

it's very insulting, really really insulting. Okay, so what is

the proper response? You think about it properly, you think

that it's insulting. What is the most insulting thing that

has happened to our faith with our history in the Bible?

Jesus nil on the cross, you know, not somebody parading.

You know, the most humiliating thing in the world that

our faith have ever gone through was our own Lord

and Savior, whip nail left on the cross for.

All to see. You know, you can I'm saying.

You know, all the nations were rialdly killed in at

the Savior, so called king of the Jews, and the

pierce fin him who was without sin.

You understand what I'm saying. You know, So what does

that call for Christians to believe? Are we to stand

up here?

You cannot and let's start to fight the Romans? We

fall directly into that trap. You know what I'm saying.

The Bible says, what Romans, there is no government unless

those God has approved. They got nothing escapes God, not

no government, and all no government escapes God on even

someone as evil as King Herod who killed every newborn

just to get to Jesus.

Even then, God is sovereign. You can what I'm saying

you a even if your family going through that, God

is too sovereign. You know you know what I mean,

right extreme, Even God is still in control. You all.

Are you saying that I need to come be between

God and say that, no, this is right, I need

to start. God doesn't need you to do that, you

know what I mean, right? God needs you to believe

that God is in control. You're not saying what I'm saying.

You know, Think about the Christian persecution. They didn't nothing wrong,

but yet persecutors hung up on the cross torch, put

in the arena to be martyred and eaten the lions.

How much more have we the lies they tell about Christians?

You know, they call Christians cannibals at that time they

take the Lord's communion. They say that we were vampires

and cannibals. We drink of the blood of Jesus and

partake of his body, so that the news at that time.

You don't need Twitter, you don't need Facebook or Google

or any mainstream media to paint the wrong picture about Christians.

You don't need them. You know, they were already spreading lies.

They were calling Christians cannibals, and because of that, they

forced the government to add upon Christians making it illegal

for anyone to come under the.

Name of Christ. Did you know that?

Tough times people, You know what I'm saying, Not even

in those things. You must persevere. You never participate in

all these things to bring down governments.

Never, never, ever, ever ever God is in control.

You can mean, right, so you don't need to go

out of the wards they tell, oh, we need to

stand up ourselves. You don't need any right movement people.

Everybody else in the world is going for this. This

me too, this lives Matter, all this movement. Everybody is

doing it because they don't have any religion. They have

their own religion.

We have our religion with God.

Do you know what I'm saying now, We don't need

to movement because they don't know who's in control. We

know who's in control. They don't know who's gonna That's

why they have to take control.

You know what I'm saying.

What I'm saying here, they don't have they don't know

who God is. That's why they're taking control, they take

to the streets, they're putting all sorts of things. They

call it equality, fair rights. You can't, I mean, now,

you don't partic all these things. Even when Christ died,

he still reigns. So we are to do what we

are to live in truth and in mercy. We have

to pray for them because we know what is awaiting them.

You know what I mean, right, awaiting the nations that

refuse the Gospel. After hearing it's still refused.

We see this thing.

We know we're not like, oh, we are not insulted enough,

but we see judgment coming. If they do not come

under the covering of Christ, you can I'm saying.

You know, it's scary. One.

Now, you don't envy someone who is speeding down the

road at two hundred and fifty m You don't envy them.

You know, you're like, whoa do you have to drive

over the No, you're just like, my.

Goodness, I pray their safe man, and really pray because

wherever they are heading, it's very terrible. Yeah, I'm saying

you have to pray for them. That is the proper Now,

this is your response to the world. But in regards

to your own home and family. There's a different reason.

You have to talk about it with your own household.

You have a responsibility to address so that you can

teach your own family to divide clearly what is right

and what is wrong. All the letters in the New Testament,

from Romans to Corinthians, to Ephicients to Gadishus, who were

they written to.

Believers to tell them you are in the world, but

all of this world.

You address these things, but not for them to go

out to, you know, writ but to them to see

so that they consecrate themselves. So you talk already in

the right environment and to the right people. You don't

throw your own lives and the feed to the wrong livestock,

to your own shepherds. Take care of your own sheeps,

feed them, teach them, and care for them. Your children,

your your church people, your members, your homies. You you

need to address these things. You get mean right, so

that they see they're not in the room. They're looking

at that. Oh it's funny, you know they're not talking

about Christians. No, you must teach them to see clearly,

but pray and things. So you say what I'm saying.

This is the proper response. Response of a Christian. Okay,

I don't know why I feel like I need to

talk about it because it's so important, isn't it. It's

so important if don't don't go out and don't give

the wrong response you get mean right, it's very very

very very very important biblical response.

Okay, last one more, last step Okay, I think the

stets are Is it good to you have the stats?

Really break down your assumptions in there?

How many out of the thirty one percent of Christians? Okay,

do you think actually go for missions? What is the percentage?

How many percentage of Christian actually go for missions? One percent?

Zero point one percent, two percent? Want to stand someone,

bring on your calculator. It's one in every two hundred

and nine thousand. How many percent is that? One in

two hundred and nine thousand? Zero point zero zero zero

five percent?

And the Christian committee is actually the wealthiest group. How

much money do you have actually gone through missions?

Wow? So do we need missionaries? Do we stay? A

lot of times? Have we feel that our missionaries are

not related to us? Really?

I think so many missions we have this perception that

mission has been prospering has been going strong as well.

Funder you know we have money volunteers. No, we actually

are in dire need you know, actually really we are.

We need the new generation, not the older ones. We

need the new people to write, to serve, to have

a heart for missions.

It's very, very important, soul, and all my time is

it's a short that's turned with me to Genesis chapter eleven.

I'm gonna share with you why missions, and I'm gonna

tell you that missions is not a New Testament commandment.

It's never been. Missions has always been our full time job.

And what happens when we don't do our full time job?

What happens when you don't fulfill your main calling? What

happens to a country, to a group of people when

you don't fulfill God's calling?

Okay?

When what causes people to slump back and to withdraw

from the idea of missions?

Okay?

Now it takes us back to the story of Babel. Okay,

so that's read a bit. Okay, Genesis chapter eleven, verse one.

It's easy. Now, the whole earth had one language and

one speech. Okay, so this story get a lot, No people,

not about Babor. But this is taking place, this event

after the event of the flood. Okay, quite a few

years ready, almost like a few hundred years ready passed? Ready, okay, Noah?

Okay? How many people were in the act when? What

was safe? How many people? I'd like to ask questions,

get people to really how many people in the well

we love globalization. You know, everybody will enjoy prosperity. Everybody

would love one another. You know, it's like lims existing,

coexisting with lambs and goals. You know, everybody would love

for one another. But actually they already had taken place.

You know, globalization had actually taken place much much earlier. Ready,

And let's see what men were up to, Okay, when

actually we were all united? And in verse two, any

stays and it came to pass as their journey from

the east, that they found a plane in the land

of China, and they the Shina is near in the

modern day Iraq.

of resources, what do they begin to say to themselves.

What do people plan, what is their desire in their hearts?

one another, come let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.

asport for mortar. Okay.

So humans one thing are very good. Only not only

had one speech, and they are were united. They also

were very resourceful. And because of all these ingredients, humanity

had become a very powerful, very powerful species, you know,

very very powerful species united. It's like you look at

are resourceful.

I think they really can take over the earth for

resourceful they will take over the earth.

I mean right.

Imagine humans and all humans at that time were probably

as a civilization, we were at their peak in terms

of you know what I mean.

Right, they were.

They were very resourceful, all united, with the same resources

and everything else. And they say, what come, let us

make bricks and make them and they have bricks as

far from wat And then with all these things and

get them. What do they decide to do? They decided

to work. Come, let us build ourselves city once city, okay, but.

For who.

Underlying ourselves? They were building for themselves. There is the

reveling things in it. Build a city and a tower?

Who stop is in the heavens? You want to build

for yourself?

But on top of that, sometimes you go a bit deeper.

It's like, oh, I just want to buy a house.

Oh I just want to travel. Oh I just want

this job. Oh I just want to get to know

this person on here. You go a bit deeper, they'll

find out, hey, got a toll tower. Want to know

what is this tower there? Because the city is not

the agenda. The real thing is what you're built inside

the city, isn't it. Yeah, it's the Oh it's a

tall tower. Oh you want to come to this church

just because you know?

Why?

No, because I want to know to get to know

this girl. Oh the real agenda behind walls. A lot

of people always say appear good, but you don't know

what your hidden agenda. But inside the city is a

tall tower. You're either your ambition, Oh what you say

is not always linked to your ambition true or not

be careful ambitions. Don't let people know your ambitions very easily.

People who tell the ambitions very quickly are very It's

like leaving the door open as well, very very careful.

God's glory is his mystery. You know, it's the glory

of men to discovery. It's the glory or God to

reveal his mystery. So what God has keip to you?

Are you a good steward? It's very important one, you know.

And yet in men people in men who are not

renew who do not know God. They also harbor their

own ambition as well, behind walls, behind what they built

with all their resources, with all their commonality and unity,

They had their own ambition. And what they build, they

build a tower, only a tower? What was the ambition

aim for to the heavens, directly to the maker?

to say, let us make a name for who, for ourselves?

Another layer again, it's like peeling the onion, you know,

building a city, building a tower.

It's about a name for ourselves. Again. Then it's even more.

Let lets we be scattered, underlying, scattered abroad, over the

face of all the earth. Okay, so let me just

quickly cover a few things here. So they built a city, okay,

because city is mostly you're like, okay, what's wrong.

With the city? City divided?

Like?

You have walls, you have irrigation, you have organization, infrastructure,

you get ment to coordinate. Everything is organized. You have

a proper society structure.

You get me in right. Okay, doesn't sound wrong, sounds good? Mah?

Why why you for these people? These people are just

being resourceful. Everything you look a lot of times look

at the first la year is not wrong until you

realize they actually had an earlier instruction. What was the instruction?

What was art instruction for them? What was God's instruction

for these people who survived the fla? What was God's

instruction for Adam in the very beginning?

Two? To feel the earth?

Let's read, okay, Genesis chapter let me just fre quickly.

Genesis chapter nine. Okay, and go to verse one. Okay,

Genesis chapter one, Chapter nine, Verse one.

What does he say?

This is after the flat? So God bless Noah and

his sons and said to them, be fruitful and multiply

you be fruitful. You have children, but you have children

for one to feel the earth, It's like saying that

I set you as a department, Linus, you're the health department.

I give you a budget. Okay.

I want you to budget because your department you cannot

do it on your own. Okay, you have a huge

salesforce team, Okay, self, things need to do. I want

you to reach the whole global You cannot sell everything

to the whole global market by your owner. I give

you a budget higher as many people as but multiply

your department so that you can go all over the

world and then sell our product, because that's our company objective,

our company objective. So what is to follow commandment? Because

we had been given the image of God, unlike any

other creature, for one purpose, to rule the earth on

behalf of God, so that the whole may experience the

glory of God through Us.

Through creation.

And all nothing in this world, not the sun or

the mon not the animals, bears one likeness like us

in the image of God.

You know what I'm saying.

What I'm saying, No, so that the animals and everyone,

not just the animals that you and I. When we

see someone like that, okay, it's like, that's God's glory,

that's God, that's God, that's God, God's mercy. So you see,

we cannot imagine that because we had never seen a

truly spiritual man, that is, doing God's full time job

until Jesus came into the picture. Jesus is the first

truly sinless man, first truly man who was fully commissioned

and fully serving God in all capacity.

Jesus carried the image and the glory of God. You get. So, Jesus,

the image of God was supposed to be multiplied throughout

all the earth, all of us ambassadors. You get me

in right. That was God's plan, always been God's plan.

So but multiplied and to feel the earth.

This is after the flatter, after the flatter, The whole

is cussing on everybody, gone, oh we are we carry

this image. But yet when they found a nice place,

when they realized that, oh we have one language, were united,

They found the land we can build mortars and use

mortals and ask for what did they decide to do?

Serve themselves.

It's like you have a full time jober, and you say,

I think my full time job not pain enough, and

I work a side job looking et cetera.

Is not wrong. But look atter, you're using my company's

time and resources.

Oh do you think in this world right now? If

your boss find out, will they ever allow that?

Never?

Because it goes against your first employment, your contract, all

the resources being given to you, your laptop, your time,

your leave and reading, and you're using for your own.

Then God will say where is my glory? True? Not

I said, where's my glory? Wife?

Where is my what I've given to you? Don't I

have a right to demand for it? So now, men,

decide to build for themselves a city when I call

them to go out? But what was men struggling? Actually,

you know they didn't get to this question to build

their own little kingdom. Apart from God, I coincidence one another.

We are all right now in this world we are

all building our own king Do you realize that? In nations,

in families, even we're all building our only the kingdom,

you know? And yeah, I tell you, let's go. Let

let's let's go in a bit more for the okay, said,

that's gonna be a further Okay, So a city is about,

you know, having borders, having protection, having structure, you know,

having security and peace for ourselves. But we're not going out.

And then we build a tower that riches to the heavens. Okay,

but why to the heavens? Because you want to make

a name for yourself. It's not enough that you build

your own kingdom. It's important for you to feel significant,

significant outside God's calling. It's like you have a full

time job, but you don't feel important enough, but you

take up another job so that you make yourself feel good.

Maybe your current job, your title is just maybe analysts executive.

The other job are well. I give them more roles,

more better pay, in a better title, vice president title,

make your meal for significant you know what I mean? Right,

something that you can build up. But my current job

nobody will know. I can't really boast. Everybody's got better

job than me, but this one will. But this one

I can build up a tower that riches to the

heavens and make a name for yourself. You are elevating

yourself because you despise God's glory or God's promotion and

you want to elevate yourself. Reminds you of someone that

did that many many years ago in heaven, Isn't it?

No, you go because it's your job. It's God's calling.
