You're listening to a message to go from at church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
The title is the beginning of Wisdom. So this is
-
just something that well, I wouldn't say I'm passionate about.
-
But when I was a young teenager and I was
-
reading True Solomon right, and I remember and I was
-
very yeah, I was like what seventeen? I think? Uh
-
and uh, you know, committed to church, going to church.
-
And during one of my quiet time, I remember reading
-
where God asked Solomon, what do you want Solomon? You know?
-
Because God wants to bless Solomon, you know, and how
-
why does go on a blessed Solomon? Because Solomon had
-
God's favor because of his father, David Right, Solomon was
-
there was a son that was delivant and and and
-
God as Solomon, what do you want? I'll give you anything?
-
How many you were? My son always asked me this question, Daddy,
-
if you have anything, but what about you want? And
-
then he said I'll have you U limited money? Right,
-
That's why? Will he tell me? And I will always yeah, yeah,
-
And I always say I have everything I want. I
-
just wanted my book, my sons and my wife. So
-
feels so good, right, actually live the money not so
-
bad as alla. But but God asked Solomon, what do
-
you want? I can give you anything. And you know
-
Solomon who asked for anything, but you need ask for
-
one thing. He said, God give me wisdom. God give
-
me wisdom. And I remember praying that prayer and said, Lord,
-
if you can give Solomon wisdom. Of course, sometimes when
-
we are younger, we think, oh, you ask for wisdom,
-
then all the other good things come, you know, uh,
-
you know, power, money and stuff like that. Right, based
-
on what the Bible says. So I asked for that
-
al sola when I was young, right. But wisdom, I
-
think is something that we all need in our lives. Amen.
-
And we're gonna just do a bit of study on
-
it today, are you guys? Okay? So Proverbs chapter nine,
-
and we're gonna read it. Says yeah, Proverbs chapter nine,
-
verse ten. The fear of the Lord is the beginning
-
of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
-
For by me, your days will be multiplied and years
-
of life will be added to you. If you are wise,
-
you are wise for yourself. And if you scoff, you
-
buried alone. Okay, let's learn a few things about wisdom today. Okay.
-
So the first point is the Bible, God's word teaches
-
us to look for wisdom. Yo. Get that. It teaches
-
us to look for wisdom. It tells us to look
-
for wisdom like searching for hidden treasure. Have you all
-
seen how treasure hunters took for treasure? You guys watched
-
the documentary on like I remember, there was a documentary
-
where they were looking for the Titanic, right, and they
-
spent a lot of money equipment technology, got submarine, you know.
-
And I remember that documentary so well because the submarine
-
that found the Titanic was called Alvin. Yeah, that's I
-
remember it. You can go and check it. I don't
-
know whether I think I'm correct. There was a bigger submarine,
-
but the smaller one was called Elvin, right, the unmanned submarine.
-
The bigger submarine, I forgot the name. Really, And they
-
spent a lot of money. They needed an investor. They
-
went and looked for it. They thought it's here. Took
-
them years to look for the Teitanic. They were searching
-
for treasure, you know. And of course you think, why
-
spend so much money? Right of course, there is a
-
reward at the end because when they found the treasure,
-
it's treasure. When they found the treasure, they will be rewarded.
-
But it takes a lot of investment of time, investment
-
of you know, energy. You know, you don't even know
-
whether you will get your ROI back. You don't even
-
know whether you will get your profit back when you
-
look for treasure. That way, right, just rely on the man.
-
But yet proverabs two verus four. The five says, if
-
you seek her as silver and search for her as
-
as for hidden treasure, it tells you that it's hidden. Okay,
-
then you will understand the fear of the Lord and
-
find the knowledge of God. So the Bible first point,
-
we establish a few things before we go into it.
-
First point is the Bible teaches all of us to
-
look for wisdom. Right. The second point is the Lord
-
is the one who gives us wisdom. Okay, the Lord
-
is the one. Let's go to Proverbs chapter two, verse
-
sixty seven. What does it say? He says here, for
-
the Lord gives wisdom. From his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
-
He stores up sound wisdom for the upright. He is
-
a shield to those who walk uprightly. He guards the
-
paths of justice and preserves the way of his sayings,
-
then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every
-
good path. Well, if the Bible asks us to look
-
for wisdom like hidden treasure, and the Bible also says
-
that the Lord is the one that gives us wisdom,
-
I mean I'm making my own, like, what's the word?
-
What's the word that Sheilock Holmes asks? What's in? Or
-
what's asked Chloholms? So what's your deduction? Right? Well? I
-
deduced that we should see Golah because if I need
-
to look for wisdom and wisdom comes from the Lord,
-
then I should see God. Right? Makes sense? Why do
-
you see God to look for wisdom? Right? And you
-
know it says here God is a shield for those
-
who walk up rightly. So if you walk up rightly
-
in the eyes of God, you don't have to worry.
-
He will protect you. You only worry when you don't
-
want a brightley in the eyes of God. Then you
-
better worry because there's no promise of him protecting you. Amen.
-
He guards the paths of justice right, and he preserves
-
the way of his sayings. So if you seek God,
-
and I'm did you sing? Based on what the Bible says,
-
If we see God, our paths will be taken care of.
-
The way that we have will be preserved by the Lord.
-
Why does it need preservation because there are challenges because
-
there are people out there that want to get you.
-
There are people out there that may be jealous for you,
-
Peo about that. They want to mess with your business
-
for whatever reason. But if we seek the Lord and
-
we have wisdom, then we'll be protected. Right. It also
-
says here in a verse chapter nine, then you will
-
understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path. So
-
it means that we will understand that's another point. We
-
will understand righteousness and justice. What does equity mean? How
-
many of you here are in real estate or banking finance?
-
Oh no, they're not. Share our banking finance raest that
-
I know that this too. Anyone here, you're not got
-
people thinking why so shy? You're not? Equity is not
-
We don't be a finance finance class today. Oh my goodness,
-
everybody's so quiet. Are you okay? Good morning? XB you okay?
-
I see a lot of pointing like, yeah, Nick is there?
-
I know Basically, when you talk about equity in a house, Okay,
-
let's use house as an example, right, it means that
-
how much you order minus how much is the value,
-
then that's your equity. That's the value of the house. Right.
-
So if your house costs one million dollars, but your
-
body it for half a million, Okay, the equity of
-
the house is half a million. It just means value.
-
So when the Bible says you will understand equity and
-
every good path, he tells you that when you have wisdom,
-
you will understand righteousness. What is righteousness? What is justice?
-
And you will know the value of a good path.
-
All of us here are on a path to somewhere.
-
With the decisions we make every day, we are going
-
somewhere right. And of course we all want to go
-
to the good place right every path we take. Now
-
the Bible talks about you know why, it is the
-
path to destruction, narrow is the one to righteousness. Right
-
is very hard to find? Who who will find it
-
very hard to find? Right? And when you talk about
-
path and you talk about being wise, when you are wise,
-
you will know which path to take that will lead
-
you to good things. But when you're unwise. And when
-
you don't have wisdom in your life, the path you
-
take will lead to destruction. Okay, So the question is
-
which path are we taking today? Every path we take
-
reaches somewhere, some to destruction and some to prosperity. What
-
is prosperity and abandoned life? And recently I was I
-
can't remember which preacher, Oh, I think I remember Amd,
-
I remember for those who went for x Men devotion.
-
Pastor Jeffrey I think came and he said he shared
-
the meaning of the word prosperity, and he was so enlightening.
-
When we think prosperity because a lot of years see
-
are Chinese, we think prosperity or prosperity, money money, money
-
you need. But what the Bible means by prosperity is
-
not just money. What the Bible means by prosperity, based
-
on the explanation, it's not just money. It's shalom, it's peace,
-
it's a good life. It's not just money. It's not
-
just money. It's quite powerful. No, when you understand deeper
-
what the word means, right, we will get an abundant life.
-
Problems Chapter two thus tend to twelve. It says, when
-
wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul,
-
discretion will preserve you, Understanding will keep you, to deliver
-
you from the way of evil. From the man who
-
speaks perverse things. I'm gonna continue reading from those who
-
leave the paths of uprightness to work in the ways
-
of darkness, who rejoice in doing evil and delight in
-
the perversity of the wicked, whose ways are crooked, and
-
who are devious in their paths. To deliver you from
-
the immoral woman, from the doctors, who flatters with her words,
-
who forsakes the companion of her youth and forgets the
-
covenant of a god. For her house leads down to death,
-
and her paths to the day. None who go to
-
her return, nor do they regain the paths of life.
-
So you may walk the way in the way of goodness,
-
and keep the paths of righteousness. For the upright will
-
dwell in the land, and the blameless will remain in it,
-
but the wicked will be cut off from the earth,
-
and the unfaithful will be uprooted from it. I'm gonna
-
use a very simple example to explain this, parents, and
-
maybe for some of you who are not parents yet.
-
By maybe your parents have said this, I don't really
-
like the friends you're hanging out with. I think they're
-
giving you a bad influence. Because influence rare powerful. Right,
-
So when you talk about pathway, when you are on
-
the pathway with good friends and good influence, you will
-
rich good things. But when you are on the pathway
-
with bad friends and bad influence, this is what the
-
Bible means. You'll be led astray. You're your catch that wisdom,
-
yeah you, and it's not even a good or bad
-
it's just if you follow this way, you will continue
-
heading down the not so nice way. But if you
-
follow this way right, you'll head down a better way.
-
We thought we're talking about wisdom here, Okay, So wisdom
-
is important. Number one, we gotta look for it. Number two,
-
we gotta know it comes from God, right, He gives
-
us wisdom. And with wisdom, the benefit is we understand righteousness,
-
We understand what's right. We understand and value a good pathway,
-
a good direction. When you have it. When you that
-
means that when you don't have it, now, it's very
-
hard to recognize. Maybe everything you see is good. That's
-
very dangerous. And he says he and proverbs right, Tan,
-
discretion will preserve you. You know what discretion means? Discretion
-
just means discernment. Can you discern or not? Do you
-
know or not? The people you're hanging out with is
-
a good inference to you or not? Or the thing
-
that carries the weight is other things? But the person
-
has a nice car? Okay, I'm just using example horrible examples. Okay, Okay,
-
people who have got nice car doesn't mean they're bad lad. Okay,
-
But do we have the discernment in our spirit? Do
-
we have the wisdom to discern on who we should
-
hang out with and who we shouldn't? Right? Do we
-
have that? Or are we blind to that? Or are
-
we going just purely by emotions, purely by time spend together? Right?
-
Something to think about, are you guys? Okay? It also
-
says that understanding will keep you. You know what that means.
-
I mean, the language is very powerfuler, but it just
-
tells you that when you understand something, it will help you.
-
When you don't understand something, you will get in trouble
-
because you don't understand. Why are why passus? Steven keep
-
asking me to come for prayer? Service. Don't he know,
-
I'm busy, But do you understand that when you come
-
for prayer service and when you are participating in prayer, man,
-
unless you tell me that you pray twenty four hours land,
-
then okay, don't you come for prayer service. Actually even
-
then also you should come. You know why, there's a
-
difference when you pray corporately with other believers. Know a
-
few things that we practice in this church that I
-
find very very valuable, like the prayer during worship that
-
right now, even in my homes, I make sure it happens.
-
I say, I'm the leader, so I can push for it,
-
you know. And I see the difference of people's countenance
-
after prayer and before prayer. Before prayer, okay, we're just
-
doing the same thing, worship God, you know, that's it.
-
But after prayer, you see very different. People are more comfortable,
-
people more at peace. People know that we've committed to
-
the Lord whatever weight that we already have. So prayer
-
is powerful. It is powerful, right, So understanding the more
-
we understand the Word of God, the more we understand
-
one another, the more we understand what is it it
-
should be, we will be kept. We won't find ourselves
-
in trouble. I'm generalizing a lot of these words. I
-
hope you catch what I'm trying to say, But the
-
moment you you don't, right. I mean, it also applies
-
in your work, in your in your life. It applies students.
-
The more you understand a subject easier for you or
-
not right. The more you don't understand how sosalah, how
-
to pass the exam, very hard to pass next time
-
you work? Also the same thing. The more you understand
-
the subject matter the better. So understanding keeps you. Amen. Okay,
-
I thought a lot about wisdom. Are you guys? Okay,
-
everybody's very quiet. I hope you guys are catching something right,
-
So let's let me. I don't know whether this will
-
challenge some of your views on it, but I want
-
to just give a little bit of an understanding. What
-
is wisdom? Talk about wisdom a lot, right? What is it?
-
Is it intelligence? Is it information? Some people think wisdom
-
is information. Some people think wisdom is intelligence. You go high,
-
AQ means your wise. I'm gonna make some statements. You
-
can agree or disagree. La. I don't think someone who's
-
smart is wise, because I meet some really smart people
-
who make really not so smart decisions. I don't think
-
information is wise because chat Gibt has all the information
-
in the world. But I doubt Chetgibt it's wise to
-
be able to advise you on certain things. I mean,
-
of course, so unfair persives. How can you use a machine? Well,
-
there are a lot of people here who know a
-
lot of things, but they may not be wise. You'll
-
understand right because you've experienced it right. So it's definitely
-
not intelligence. Definitely not just information, although both are important things. No,
-
it's not just about being knowledgeable, about being smart. Would
-
you agree with me if I say that wisdom is
-
about making the right decision, because you can be someone
-
who's not so smart, but you can still be wise.
-
You can be someone who doesn't have all the information,
-
but you can still make wise decisions Corna. So it's
-
about making decisions. You can have a young person who
-
don't know a lot. I eat more salt than you
-
eat rice. You know, those of us for older, we say,
-
but they are wise, they know how to make wise decisions.
-
Yet you can have an old person that is super old,
-
that got more years in their life, but constantly making
-
foolish decisions. Constantly getting in trouble, constantly making I don't know, Okay,
-
I'm not gonna use any examples, right, So isn't it
-
about making the right decision to be wise? Isn't it
-
about discerning what is right at what time you'll get
-
it right? And the wisdom that God gives us keeps
-
us safe from destruction. So you may walk in the
-
way of goodness and keep to the paths of righteousness.
-
For the upright will dwell in the land, and the
-
blameless will remain in it, but the wicked will be
-
cut off from the earth, and the unfaithful will be
-
up rooted from it. Okay, I just for funner, I
-
just want to give you a picture of how wisdom
-
looks like. Okay, and I want to invite some of
-
my volunteers, Wesley and Sivia, to come and act something
-
out for us today. Yeah yeah, I know, very very seriousity.
-
So now we just have a little bit of funer.
-
Yeah yeah, they yeah, Okay, they're gonna act out a
-
scene and then we're just gonna learn so far away
-
you go there, Okay, they're gonna eg our scene. So
-
so let's just say that they are colleagues okay, their
-
colleagues and uh just for fun, and Sivia the boss,
-
and Wesley is like the worker worker, okay, she's a
-
boss and action okay, pass worst, okay, just to let
-
you know, give you a bit more information. Now, Wesley
-
can finish the monthly report in two days. He can
-
finish it in two days if nothing goes wrong, everything
-
goes well, in two days, he can finish the report. Okay, okay,
-
we pause her. Was that a wise response? Why was
-
it a wise response? Why it's rude? Okay? Can you
-
please you know saw Ruth your boss? Sorry, okay, just
-
overlook the ruts, Just overlook the ruts. Okay. He he's
-
so interacting. I don't even know whether he'll speak to
-
the boss that we're okay, But anyway, why was it unwise?
-
She asked? One month report? When can you deliver? Right?
-
I just told you that he needs two days forty
-
eight hours? And when did he promised tomorrow? With cheez
-
over promise? Okay? So or promise? Okay, okay, Let's let's
-
let's hear the next response. Next month? He said, next one? Okay?
-
Was that a wise response or foolish response? Why is
-
it foolish? Too long? What unrealistic? Okay? Some say unrelistic?
-
Too long? Yeah? Two days? He needs? Why must he
-
one man right and not need that? It's a monthly
-
report next month? You need? Ready? Okay, let's hear whether
-
or not he'll make a white decision now? Two days? Okay?
-
What's that? A wise edision or foolish edision? Much better?
-
Much getting better? Who said wise? Wise? Some say wise? Who?
-
Who says is foolish? Who says foolish? Can't say whither? Okay?
-
John says foolish? Okay, one of it? Why? Why? Why
-
is it foolish? Assuming everything has to be right? Assuming?
-
So when's the what? What would be the better answer?
-
Better answer for me? I will say that usually is
-
I can two days to be safe? Can you just
-
give me three to four days? Three to four days? Okay?
-
Let let's see what's his answer? Four days? Okay? Four days?
-
Is that a better answer? Is that wiser? Why is
-
it wiser? Under promise over deliver? People like to use it?
-
Thanks so much, say and Wesley, thanks so much. Let's
-
do it be a recap on what just happened now, okay.
-
Of course someone's having fun for those of you who
-
never work before, you'll be like, what are you're talking about?
-
For those of work, you've probably experienced this before. Okay,
-
let's just talk about wise and unwise. Okay, because that's
-
what the Bible is talking about. He's not talking about information,
-
it's not talking about you know, he's talking about wise
-
and unwise. Right, how is Wesley gonna make wise desis?
-
And how would the wise decisions or unwise cessicians benefit
-
or not benefit him? So just now we go one under?
-
Why over promise, confirm cannot finish one? Isn't that unwise? Right? Unwise?
-
Is it right? Or wrong? Not wrong? What boss asking
-
when he said twenty four hours if he tries his best,
-
he might fail. Definitely will fail on that. But that's unwise?
-
But is it wrong? Wrong? That's not right? Wrong?
-
Uh?
-
He promised one month later? Was it a wrong promise?
-
Some say yes, la, if you know la, but the
-
boss don't know he can finish it two days? Right?
-
But it was not wrong, but it was unreasonable. Someone
-
mentioned you just now, isn't it unreasonable you really need
-
one man thirty days to finish a two day project?
-
Then you are uneffective? Right, you are totally uneffective. What
-
about some that a lot of you say, yeah, yeah, yeah,
-
two days? Two day is wise? Was the wise or unwise?
-
Not really right? In an ideal world, when you're doing
-
a math question, there is a correct answer. But in
-
an unideal world, a person who's wise knows that something
-
can go wrong. A person who's wise understands that I
-
should underpromise or believer. But the one man who's so
-
underpromised underpromised a bit too much? Right, it's unreasonable? What
-
was a better answer? Three or four days? Let me
-
ask you a question. If he asked for five days,
-
would he still be considered a wise Susian? Yeah, sort of.
-
If he asked for seven days, would it still be
-
considered wise sedition? No? Some say no, some says actually
-
are to be really honest, it's still quite reasonable. And
-
if the boss needs to earlier that there should be
-
what negotiation? Right just now? Wesley actually asked me this
-
question because I know his accountant, so he asked more details.
-
He said, the answer also depends on when is the deadline?
-
Makes sense by the t him, don't worry about the dadline.
-
But see even if the deadline is tomorrow, let let's
-
play it out deadad lines tomorrow, but he know he
-
needs two days. What is a wise answer to that situation? Boss,
-
I'm so sorry. I cannot finish it. I need at
-
least three days. If not, we have to find a solution.
-
I cannot do it alone. Wouldn't that be a wiser
-
answer or dead larning tomorrow? Okay? Okay? Can conditional? Okay, yeah, conditional,
-
but just promise so that no conditions. That's unwise, right,
-
isn't it unwise? Now? You understand when they say the
-
foolish make decisions and lead them to a path of destruction,
-
and how the wise will leave them to a path
-
of righteousness. You'll see that. Not it's the same situation, guys.
-
It's not like the boss is asking him to take
-
drugs or anything and that no, or asking him to
-
you know, bunch ups. You know sometimes when we think
-
about this, are we only thing right and wrong? It's
-
not about right or wrong. It's about are you wise
-
or are you unwise? Your cash there are about wisdom.
-
Just so I give that that picture to you for
-
us to understand when you read the Bible Proverbs tree,
-
just how we read Proverbs two right, Proverbs one and
-
two establishes what is wisdom? Where does wisdom come from?
-
Right and proverbs tree is the instructions that the father
-
is like the instructions that the father is leaving his son.
-
Instructions or wisdom sharing consequences of good things and bad
-
if we follow or don't follow wisdom. For example, that
-
that that that little exchange is for fun. Now, okay,
-
I mean it's also real life because some of us
-
experience it. But some of us who have made different decisions,
-
and the decisions we have gotten us in trouble or
-
you have been put putting us in a better standing.
-
See wisdom right doesn't care whether or not the boss
-
is nice or not. Wisdom doesn't care. It just tells
-
you how to put yourself on a better path. You'll
-
catch that the consequences of good things and bad if
-
we follow don't follow wisdom. Let me give you another point.
-
The Bible says that there is security in wisdom. We
-
will have a long life if we are wise right. However,
-
if we are foolish, we can shorten our lives. Can
-
shorten our lives, and we should learn to live and
-
be wise making wise decisions in life. The Bible also
-
cautions us constantly do not walk in the path of
-
the wicked. Probably Chapter four us Walk into sixteen says
-
do not enter the path of the wicked and do
-
not want in the way of evil. Okay, let me
-
just pause you for a moment. If Wesley, okay, maybe
-
changed them loud. If Bob, if Bob promise Fred, If
-
Fred promises the boss one day even though he needs
-
two days, was that a wicked thing? Yeah? Why was
-
it a wicked thing? He lied? He gave the boss
-
a false hope. Maybe the company really relied, and then
-
suddenly Fred cannot deliver because of that, the whole company
-
goes down. Where's that wicked? He's wicked? But see, we
-
don't look at all these things. You know, we need
-
to see unfair? Are it's so unfair? Why the boss
-
give no? But but the Bible is not talking about
-
that and no, guys, because if he told the boss Boss,
-
I need three days, he was telling the truth. He
-
was not lying. He was taying true. Whether the boss
-
g accept or not, that's another thing. Then it will
-
mean that the boss is wicked and not him. Then
-
you want to work for a wicked boss. Think about it?
-
Think about it. Wisdom. Right, we're talking about wisdom. Okay,
-
we should make white decisions, friends, for what for our health,
-
for our family, for our life. Proverb six warns us
-
of many things we can take note off in our
-
daily lives. You go and read proverb six. Many things
-
in her daily life, many temptations and many pit falls. Right,
-
he talks about adultery. It talks about the wicked man. Right,
-
it talks about right the folly of indolence. Were very
-
big word, okay, but it just means laziness. Go to
-
the end, you, sluggard, consider her ways and be wise, which,
-
having no captain, overseer or ruler, provides her supplies in
-
the summer and gathers her food in the harvest. How
-
long will you slumber, or sluggard? When will you rise
-
from your sleep? A little sleep, a little summer, a
-
little folding of the hands to sleep? So shall your
-
property come on you like a prowler? And you need
-
like an armed man? If you don't work, if you
-
don't work, if you don't work hard, don't expect anything.
-
Isn't that wisdom, isn't it? With That's why there's security
-
in wisdom, friends, There is right. There is security in wisdom.
-
My encouragement for all of us here, please make wise decisions.
-
The question we've got to ask ourselves is am I
-
making a wise desision? Right? Let me go deeper a
-
little bit, okay, Proverbs chapter eight. Oh before that, maybe
-
backtrack a little bit, use myself as an example. Right, So,
-
and our address, I will kind of address this to
-
us believers that have been a believer for a long time.
-
Maybe we believe that God can heal. Amen, God can heal,
-
God can change things, He can move things around. But
-
sometimes I consider this, if we are believers and we
-
already have the Word of God with us, we have this.
-
You know, this is realsity okay, And and we you know,
-
it's kind of like you already have the excess. You
-
can pray, you can do all these things. When I
-
had my stent last year, and when I sat in
-
front of the doctor, and when the doctor told me
-
my condition, of course I prayed and asked God to
-
have mercy on my lifelo. But did I one think, oh,
-
this is from the devil. No, No, I had to
-
take responsibility of my own health. This is all the
-
oil food KFC. Bizarre that I ate in the past
-
years thinking that, oh, the Lord preserves me because I'm
-
doing his work right. Do you know how foolish that is?
-
Because God also gave me a brain to think and
-
a body to work. So I had to take responsibility
-
one else I cannot blame someone that. I cannot blame
-
anyone else though, but my own self law. So I
-
had to take responsibility of my health and say, God,
-
thank you for giving me a second chance. Now I
-
better take responsibility. Now, I better do what I need
-
to do. Because it is foolishness for me to think
-
that just because I serve the Lord, that if I
-
act foolishly, I will not reap the consequences of my actions.
-
It is foolish. I need to be wise. God gave
-
me a brain to think. God gave me experiences to
-
learn from. We have to be careful. I'm not talking
-
about having an illness that I have no controver that
-
one I will pray and ask God to heal because
-
I didn't ask for it. You'll see the difference on it.
-
I'm not saying you can't pray that if something happens
-
you please do pray, Please to trust by see if
-
God give you a revelation, now act upon it. We
-
cannot be ignorant, guys, we cannot. Oh God, I need
-
you to provide for me financially, but you don't get
-
to work. That is foolishness. Oh God, I need you
-
to get me out of this, but you don't even
-
border to apply for a job and work. Cannot work
-
and do what you can, be wise. But if it's
-
in a situation that you have no control over, God
-
will come true for you. Don't be ignorant. Don't be ignorant, amen,
-
that's my encouragement. If you know better, do a ready right,
-
don't be ignorant? You know? And God is so kind
-
to us. You know. I consider my current health situation
-
now really by God's mercy. Because of my ignorance, I
-
put myself in that situation. But thank God, things will
-
found out quickly and I'm able to address it and
-
work hard for it and not be ignorant anymore. Oh,
-
you know you God can do it with me again
-
near mine. You know, I got two more insurance policy
-
so I can go for two months. Ten guys, can
-
I can I share something personal to you? One of
-
my motivating factors, right of doing what I'm doing now
-
and passes who knows this? Because I become irritating to
-
him every day. Ask everybody to work out on that's
-
the first thing that day. Someone said, what someone said?
-
They injured their leg? Oh, this quite bell. Oh I
-
injured my leg by climbing out of the stairs. I
-
love a person, young person, I said, you know, I
-
will help you go to gym. You strengthen your bones
-
and you won't get injured anymore. I spend one night
-
in the ico is enough for me to say I
-
will never do that again. It's not fun at all.
-
Now I understand white people when they're on their deathbed.
-
They don't want to be no hospital. I rather be
-
at home. Now, I understand because I experienced it before.
-
Right wisdom, wisdom? Imen? Oh but paselawn, you talk a
-
lot about wisdom. Where can I get it from? You know?
-
Where can I get what should I do? Well? The
-
Bible thankfully shares with us how Proverbs chapter eight, verse thirteen.
-
Let's read it, okay. It says here the fear of
-
the Lord is to hate evil, pride and arrogance, and
-
the evil way and the perverse mouth. I hate. It
-
also says here problems eight thirty two. Now, therefore, listen
-
to me, my children, For blessed are those who keep
-
my ways, hear instruction, and be wise and do not
-
disdain it. Blessed is the man who listens to me,
-
watching daily and my gaze waiting at the pose of
-
my doors. For whoever finds me finds life and obtains
-
favor from the Lord. But he who sins against me
-
wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.
-
Let me paint this picture. We believe that God is
-
the creator of the heavens on earth. Right, He created us.
-
We are his creation. He has a specific plan for
-
all of us. He wants a subject, he wants the kingdom.
-
He gave us a redemption plan because we fail, Adam
-
and he felt a long time ago. Okay, they go
-
and listen to a Lilah basically, oh you know, you
-
will be like God. But they already like God. They
-
really mean in a menage of God. Right, so they
-
listened to a lie. They fell, they suffered, But God
-
had a redemption plan, which is Christ. Amen. He gave
-
us that redemption plan so that we can come and
-
we know who God is, and we are connected with him.
-
That is the nature of our relationship. But don't you
-
think that the person that created the God, that created
-
the heavens and the earth, also, how to say, have
-
a blueprint to how we should live life already even
-
before Jesus. Have you thought about that before? You mean,
-
the person that created the computer doesn't have a blueprint
-
that everything is interpreted. No, I think that is really
-
a blueprint. I think since day one, ready a God
-
really had those rules in place. Ready you're following. You
-
know that means that when we follow the wisdom of God,
-
we will naturally live a life of abundance. It's not
-
just about the relationship. The redemption of Christ is the
-
relationship Him, the connection, right, but the life that we live.
-
I give you one principle, sewing and reaping Christian or
-
not Christian? Now it applies to you. It does. Why
-
because it is a principle that God has set. I
-
give you up principle. This is a very elementary. The
-
sun will always come up and you'll be morning, and
-
when it goes down it'll be night. The moon will
-
always come up and we have night. Do you know
-
that there is something that God has said a long
-
time ago and it's still happening. Seventy is so simple.
-
Yeah things God has say Now what happened once, whether
-
we like it or not, whether we believe in it
-
or not, whether oh no, lah cannot be no guys
-
al realy, secrity really sety, you cannot find one. Right.
-
So it talks about the fear of the Lord. Let
-
me go to the last point. The fear of the
-
Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of
-
the Holy One is understanding for by me or days
-
will be multiplied and years of life be added to you.
-
If you are wise, you're wise for yourself, and you
-
scope your burial. Okay, let me explain this a little bit.
-
Why does the Bible say that the fear of the
-
Lord is the beginning of wisdom. If we are living today, friends,
-
we know understanding or knowledge that there is a higher
-
power dictating our lives and dictating that things happen a
-
certain way because of his rules. Then if we don't
-
have that fear, then we will do whatever we want
-
and we will think that that is right. But because
-
like how a parent takes care of their child, sets
-
the principles at home to wake up early, to go
-
to school, to dress up in your uniform, although they
-
hate it, to eat healthy food and not sweets all
-
the time. It's very elementary, but we flip it around
-
and apply it to your life as a doultar. Imagine
-
your father in heaven. What are the rules or the
-
principles you've said that we are not following, and we
-
call it what we call it. We call it wisdom.
-
You mean, if you eat sweets all the time, your
-
teeth won't get messed up. You mean if you don't,
-
if you don't eat vegetable and you eat meant all
-
the time and eat fat all the time, you'll be
-
fine white. Some of these things we understand, but when
-
it comes to certain things, we don't get it out.
-
You're are you're following me, I'm getting it. When we
-
have the fear of the Lord and we have an
-
understanding that that's our father in heaven up there, then
-
we will start becoming wise because we will realize that
-
we don't know everything. We will realize that there are
-
some things we do for our own good, but we
-
may not fully understand it. There are some things we
-
understand that we have to trust. Our kids trust us
-
right parents, and you know, parents some things they don't
-
want to do, they don't follow, They're going to suffer later.
-
That's foolishness, right. God knows so for us. That's why
-
the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
-
If you don't feel God right, you won't be wise.
-
It's as simple as that. If you don't fear God
-
and you do whatever you want, you won't be wise.
-
And you're wondering, oh, why are like that? That's white
-
people are foolish. They wonder why they are like that.
-
But actually, you know, I hope I explaining properly. Are
-
by being wise you already and if you really know
-
the power of your hating are you're definitely not going
-
to get in trouble. But do you realize that people
-
who are foolish don't realize it trouble and they wonder
-
why they're in trouble. That's why we got to fear God.
-
We got to know that he's there. Right. Let me
-
give you another truth that came out of this. It
-
says in Problems chapter twelve, if you are wise, you
-
are wise for yourself, and if you scoff, you bury
-
it alone. Okay. I used to not understand this but
-
now I can't get it. I'm sharing a lot about wisdom. Friends,
-
let me give you another revelation. This wisdom that I'm
-
sharing a is for your benefit, not mine. I give
-
you this example. If I am wise, you'll don't benefit
-
one You know that, because if I'm wise, I benefit,
-
because I'm making wise decisions for myself. Maybe my family benefits,
-
maybe if they follow, also if they are wise enough
-
to follow themselves. But if I am wise, I benefit.
-
That's what the Bible means. So if you are wise,
-
you benefit no one else. No, if you are unwiser,
-
you suffer alone. Nobody else, you know, nobody else offers.
-
So this whole thing about wisdom applies to you. You know,
-
it's so directly with us. Oh, you know John is wise.
-
I feel so blessed for what he wise. He'll be blessed.
-
It doesn't affect me in one bit. Whether he's wise
-
or not wise, it doesn't affect me in one bit.
-
Right because if let's say we are friends or we
-
are partners, and he's unwise, wouldn't a wise me say, okay, John,
-
you know what I think maybe not a good ideala
-
and you still want to do it. I think you
-
see wisdom. But if I'm also unwise, Okayla, let's all
-
suffer together. So wisdom is the only thing in our lives,
-
one of the only things in our lives. Air that
-
it only affects you when you do it. When you
-
practice mercy and grace, it affects others. When you practice wisdom,
-
it only affects you. This is what the Bible says.
-
When you are wise, you are wise for yourself. But
-
if you scoff, you know SCUFFI is. I'm trying to
-
appreac this Na not Tranna, and find my life is fine.
-
Half fear God. No need to fear God. God still
-
loves me, no matter what, no matter why do God
-
loves me right, no need to fear him. On when
-
you scoff, you suffer yourself. So even when I'm sharying
-
this right, I don't benefit anything of it. I mean
-
I benefit for myself and I hope you will benefit.
-
But you give what I mean right. I want to
-
encourage you to read Problems because from Problems chapter ten
-
all the Way to Problems chapter thirty one is the
-
wisdom of King Solomon and what he learns from the Lord.
-
He wrote it down. Okay, let me just have fun. Now,
-
read a few scripture and see whever we can relate
-
to it or not. Can just one or two? I
-
saw I was sleeping and I saw one just now. Yeah,
-
it says here Proverbs, chapter fifteen, verse one. A soft
-
answer turns away wrath, but a harsh tongue, a harsh
-
word stirs up anger. How many of you have applied
-
this to your life? I have applied this many times,
-
especially my wife and I borne the consequences of good
-
when I learned to have a soft answer. Right, let
-
me read another one seventeen. Okay, approach chest to say
-
event thing was one. Better is a dry muscle with
-
quietness than a house full of fisting with strife. You'll
-
get that better is a d It just means, right, guys,
-
that I rather just eat Guardinia bread at home with
-
a happy family, then able to go to high Delau
-
and we are fighting all the time. You should you
-
prefer Hi delaw and fighting or Guardiania? Okay? My wife,
-
my son wants wants to wants to fight anyway. You're you're, you're,
-
you're getti and no, I don't know. I hope I've
-
displayed enough right to show you that if you want
-
to live a life of righteousness, a life of uprightness, alive,
-
full of God's goodness in your life, right that you've
-
got to be wise. They got to read the word.
-
You don't know near mine, You don't have enough ination
-
near mind. Read Proverbs. Proverbs is so much full of
-
wisdom right. Number sixteen says the preparations of the heart
-
belongs to men, But the answer of the tongue is
-
from the Lord. Meantime, you can prepare all you want to,
-
but God decides, but you still need to prepare her. Right,
-
let me read one more. The simple believes every word,
-
but the prudence considers, well he steps Are you easily believable? Oh? Sorry?
-
Are you? Do you believe things easy? Wear one word?
-
Or someone said gullible or naive? Right, it says here
-
in verse eighteen or seventeen, a quick tempered man acts foolishly,
-
and a man of wicked intentions is hated. How many
-
of you here panas baran very fastened be were careful?
-
And number eighteen says the simple inherit folly, But the
-
prudent are crowned with knowledge. The evil will bar before
-
the good and the wicked at the gates of righteousness. Friends,
-
I hope I've given you enough for you to want
-
to decide to seek wisdom today more than anything, more
-
than ambition, more than or I want to do what's
-
right now, wisdom in your life, make right decisions. Do
-
you know that? Well? I believe that when you are wise,
-
and when we have a church there is wise, the
-
church will be blessed. You know why you will be blessed.
-
You know, we will have less headache. Paster still will
-
probably have less haitdache. John will probably have less headache.
-
When everybody's wiser. Yeah, I mean when we are less impulsive,
-
when we are less Oh you want it like that
-
or no, No, when we have understanding, we will have
-
less headache. We will have peace. Are you seeing what
-
I'm seeing? God's promises will come to you when you're wise,
-
when you seek him. So let's seek wisdom in our lives. Firstly,
-
to fear the Lord and to hate evil, to seek
-
the Lord and to walk the paths of righteousness, even
-
if it's difficult. It's not going to be easy. For
-
being wise doesn't mean that things are going to be easy,
-
means that you're going to be making. Some of you
-
will have to make difficult decisions for the future, not
-
for now now difficult maybe because of a foolish decision.
-
You're stuck in this place, but no more. Stop making
-
the foolish decisions and digging your grave or digging the
-
pit deeper. Stop it. Time to live wise and when
-
you do that, you're setting yourself up for success. You know,
-
we talk about missions, We talk about we were going
-
through missions in homes last week, right for those who
-
will go homes. You know, one of the promises that
-
God has given us and we have to and it
-
something I well, not just believe, but it is trueflower, okay,
-
And I think there's a lot of wisdom and in
-
it is that they talk about the blessing of Abraham.
-
The Abraham make blessing already Christianists, right to me, is
-
very simple. If you want to be a blessing to
-
other people are don't you think you need to be
-
blessed first? Someone who has issues in their life are
-
very hard to advise people and conor. Someone who is
-
in a place of strength can help another person that's weak.
-
Someone who has plenty can help those with none. The
-
one that have nothing, very hard to help those with none,
-
the one who's still going through their own problems very hard.
-
To advise another person very difficult. So my belief is
-
that God wants everybody to experience freedom in your lives.
-
Because when you experience your freedom, whether it's freedom in
-
your finances, whether it's freedom in your own mental health
-
or your heart and peace, you can be a love
-
strength to someone else. But where does this freedom come from? Christ? Christ?
-
We are made whole in Christ. He has given us
-
the victory. And with the victory that we have, we
-
can extend a hand to other people. That is the
-
blessing of Abraham, not just about money you need. That
-
is the blessing. The blessing is blessed to be a
-
blessing to others. True you nations to be blessed, True
-
x B you Bandama be blessed, True your family. Can
-
you confidently say that true your family, other families to
-
be blessed, True your child other childs to be blessed.
-
Through your own working ethic, other young working that us
-
will be blessed. Can you have that confidence? That is
-
the promise, that is the glory that God has and
-
receives when his people are blessed. Not so that I
-
feel good, No so that others may be blessed. It's
-
always b others. Amen.
