Obey - That All May Know | Dr Jill Ling

You're listening to a passage to go from ax Church.

We hope this message will light up your day. So

I'm just gonna before I go on to share, I

just want to share a picture. Okay, wow, okay, okay, no, no,

this this is this is uh yeah, you understand why.

So this is a picture taken from my family trip

to Krabbi a few weeks ago during the.

V A school holidays.

Okay, So so we we went island hopping and this

is I think the final destination for that day. And

and and it was, I mean, it was just amazing.

When you look at the sea and the sky and

the sand and the sun. It was like Mama picture of effect,

Like okay, all right. And that was our lunch. It

was a pack lunch. Now, I didn't have a chance

to even take a photo of us on that island.

This was all I took of.

My because in the no, because first of all, I

was very hungry, very hungry, so I fast eat my food,

like the food is really good. And by the time

I want to take family picture, right, it started to rain.

Yeah. It was terrible.

The clouds and the winds right just came all of

a sudden within ten minutes, and everyone on the island

was caught off God, and the island, right, they didn't

have much shape. It's a very small island and there's

only one little bondo and there were hundreds of us

on the island, so we all had to scramble to

get back onto our boats to go back to mainland.

And mainland is easily forty five minutes from this island,

that's how far out it was. Yeah, And so we

all were waiting in our boats and the storm was

heavy like okay, and then the boat all the boat

captains are actually fishermen, so they're very pros and maneuvering

the boat. But even they say it's too dangerous for

us to launch out into the storm. We just have

to wait until the rain settles down. So we will

all waiting in our boats for I think a good

half an hour, so waiting, waiting, waiting, and it's very cold, right,

And then the rain died down a bit, but not fully.

And then our boat captain say, you know what, we

can't be waiting here for hours because it was ready

like mid afternoon and the sky is gonna get dark

soon and there'll be even worse being stuck on the

island in the storm, in the dark, and the island

has no electricity nothing. So by faith, the boat captains

say it's okay, we just launch out, but we do

it as a fleet, so all the boats right launch

out together, so that's safety. If anything happens to that

our boat, there will be other boats to help us.

Yeah.

So I managed to take a video of us launching

out in the middle of the storm to get back

to the mainland.

So yeah. So it was really bad. Okay.

The storm was strong, the winds were strong, the waves

were strong. The water was coming into the boat from

the rain and from the sea. Yoh my goodness. I

don't know how much seawater is sallow because I was

sitting right in front.

Yeah.

And then it was so cold and I really felt

the boat till thing. It was very scary.

It felt like we could actually tell, you know, overboard

and you see my husband and my son sleeping there.

Yeah, truly the peace of Jesus.

Ah.

Yeah, that's why I was there like, oh, your that's

my husband. Now he's really like come yeah, are you okay? Okay? Yeah?

And I was there like praying, frantically, praising frantically. I

kid you not.

I sang with Christ in the vessel we can smile

at the storm. I raised a hallelujah. Yeah, all all

the songs that I could think of, right, Yeah, I

sang in the middle of the storm.

Yeah.

I was like, man, God, just just get us back

safely to the shore. And I praised God. After almost

an hour out at the sea. Yeah, we actually got

back to the shore and the storm actually subsided.

Yeah. So this was our board we got off it. Yeah.

And uh, but I just want to share this way

with us, you know that. Yeah, even as things may

be imperfect or unideal, right like this situation and also

me losing my slight. So this morning, God says, you know,

we are to just you know, step out, launch out,

and just keep going to where He wants us to

go by faith.

You know.

I just want to turn us to Hebrews, if you

can turn with me. Sorry it's not on XTV, but

I just felt led to share this Hebrew's chapter. Yes,

this is a good testa for us good practice. Okay,

So let's turn to Hebrews chapter ten, verse thirty eight

to thirty nine. And this was a verse I read

in my own quiet time recently. Okay, so here we

go Verse thirty eight he Brews Chapter ten. But my

righteous shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back,

my soul has no pleasure in him.

Verse thirty nine.

But we are not of those who shrink back and

are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve

their souls.

Amen.

And I felt wow, really, God was really encouraging me

with this scripture and this experience. You know, many times

we want to wait for the perfect weather to launch out.

It's fine, I guess that's human nature. You know safety, stability,

you know certainty. But if God calls us to launch out,

even in the midst of the storm, where we do it,

will we do it? Because God says, right, if we

shrink back, he doesn't take any pleasure in us. And

if we shrink back, we think we are protecting ourselves,

but we actually get destroyed in the process.

Right.

The word of God says he who desires to save

his life will lose it.

So if we want to save ourselves we shrink back,

end of the day, we ourselves get destroyed. Such an oxymoron, Right,

But if we were to launch out in faith, you

know our souls are preserved like this storm I launched.

We launched out by faith and God preserved us. And

so I don't know who needs to hear this word,

but someone here needs to hear this word. Don't wait

for the ideal timing and situation to launch out.

Okay.

If God calls you to launch out now, even though

it's a storm, yeah, you lose all your canvas slides,

just do it. Just do it, okay, all right, just

do it because someone is waiting for you on the

other side to launch out.

Amen. Okay.

So I just wanted to leave this with us here today, okay.

And I just want to update very quickly. Also about

X Melbourne. Thank you so much ex Chang for praying

for me. As I went to X Melbourne last weekend

to minister. It was so cold, okay, so cold. Last

Saturday was the coldest day. The highest degree was ten

degrees daytime in the evening was four to five degrees.

I was wrapped up like a dumpling. Okay. I wore

like four or five layers. I brought my own stuff,

not enough, I had to borrow from our host Delia. Yeah,

and it was just cold.

It was unexpectedly cold, so cold that I was telling

some people unashamely, you know. I I in the morning,

I woke up, I felt like doing a number two.

The moment my bosom.

Landed on the toilet seed, which was icy cold, the

number two never came out.

Oh all wrong, wrong, wrong? Okay, yes what what? Oh ah? Yes, yes,

yes where my mom mom landed on the toilet seed

it was icy cold.

Yeah, ah, my number two didn't want to come out.

Okay, right, that was how cold it was.

But thank god, you know, yeah, our Whost family, you know,

Delia really really was so kind to keep me warm.

And the love you know that X Melbourne showed me

really warmed my soul and my heart as well.

So I was kept warm in different ways. Thank God

for that. But I just want to show us a

picture of Yeah.

So this was last Saturday our ex Women's Conference also

known as Bloom in Melbourne.

Uh and uh this is Ilona. So.

Ilona is one of our Hardwan leaders who has uh

you know, migrated to Australia and she was the coordinator

of Bloom Melbourne. And this is the first time that

they are doing Bloom after the pandemic. Yeah, so kudos

to them for launching out, launching out in faith and uh,

next picture. Yeah, so we had about eighteen women who

came uh and out of the eighteen, five were not

from ex church. Yeah, five were not from ex church.

And out of that five, some were pre believers, some

were unchurch Christians. So we praise God, hold on this,

keep on the earliest life first, Yeah, the earliest. So

this was bloom and God really challenged me to lay

hands on the women and to pray for them because

in Australia, Uh, it's not really a culture for people

to come up to be prayed for, you know, during

altern ministry.

So we are so blessed here.

We've got prayers support team and you know people come

up encourage and faith to be prayed for. But in

ex Melbourne, you know, people shy. Yeah, so you know

they find it, you know, challenging to come up and

to be prayed for. But I really felt like God

was challenging me, Hey, you know, you went all the way.

There's got to be something that you do different in person.

If not, I could just push the message on zoom,

do a recording. Why go all the way? Told them

travel the flight is eight hours, Yeah, and uh yeah,

and spend so much money the distance, and so God

led me to just lay hands on the women and

to pray for them and praise God.

You know, He really.

Spoke to them, He touched them, He moved in their

lives in a powerful way.

You know.

Those who are new to church said they really felt

God through the prayer, and so believing that seats have

been planted. Even the leaders that were saying, wow, you know,

we should we should do this more. It's been a

long time since we've done this, So we believe seats

have been sown, uh, you know, for for more of

such ulti ministry to take place, the touching, the saving

of lives.

Uh.

And then the next.

Day we had Sunday worship and they were also singing

this new song faster, the Hallelujah song.

Yeah.

So that was my first, my first encounter there, and

so today I was like, oh man, we're singing here

as well. Cool. So this is a glimpse of ex Melbourne.

The Sunday worship, Melissa was charing you see Pastor Joel,

who's the coordinator, the bag Irving's her husband, who's you

see on the far right, who's there?

You recognize Ah Winson, mister boy, mister boy.

They called Charlene missus boy, missus B. Actually in school

they called missus B.

Yeah.

Right, so that's Vincent faithfully serving. Yeah, so there's a glimpse.

Oh by the way, Winson, right, he just testified last Sunday,

but he finally got a permanent job. Praise God after yeah,

you know, months of doing part time jobs. Yeah, and

so praise God and he's faithfully serving on XTV. There

that's the XDNA laself wherever you are, whenever it is okay.

And then next this was just a casual shot yeah,

after service with the I think most of the ex

Melbourne family were here. I'm not sure if anyone had

left earlier. So that's Pastor Joel the CPC, and then

Delia and their lovely daughter Sophie.

She's such a darling man.

Yeah, and so they were hosting me really one hundred

and one percent, so blessed. And then yeah, our family.

Can you sport Charlene and Vincent Yeah yeah, still the same,

still the same, yeah, yeah, all right, so this is

our x Melbourne family and just a quick testimony. So

last Sunday, right as I was preaching. Towards the end,

I was trying to read my Bible and I cannot read.

It's not because my eyesight has failed me. Okay, I

sudenly had flashes of light in my vision so much

so that I I really couldn't. I was struggling. I

was blinking, blinking, looking looking, cannot read. And for me,

I get my grain once in a long while, and

before I get my grain, I will have flashes of

light as a warning sign aura. And so when that

came as I was finishing my message, I was like, God,

it cannot be coming now. I need to finish this message.

And so I was praying in my heart, Lord, please

stop it right now. Please, you know, heal me right now,

protect me right now. And then after that, I actually

told the church Church, right now, as I'm talking to you,

I'm actually having flashes of light. Normally, migrain would ensue

and it will knock me out for the next one

two days. So I said, you know, but I'm gonna

go on in faith anyway. I'm going to finish the message.

Pray along with me that God will touch me right

now and just heal me and just within minutes. Right

the flashes of light went away within minutes. It was

very significant and I could finish preaching, would give the

church a word, and then the rest of the trip

no my brain until now, no my grain.

So praise God. God is so good. You know. When

we press on in faith, God preserves us. Amen.

Just releasing this word again. Yeah, but if we shrink back, yeah,

we can get destroyed. So let's press on in faith, friends, church.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but let's

press on in faith.

Amen. Okay.

So today I'm going to be speaking still on the

theme that God has given ex church for this year,

which is that all may know, okay, and for this month.

You know, Passandra feels led for us speakers to focus

in on obedience within the theme that all may know.

But zooming in on obedience is really the word of

the season for us as a church. And so I'm

gonna be talking about obey that all may Okay.

So sorry, I know slightes, but just listen, okay.

Faith comes by hearing, not by slicesir, and hearing of

the word of God.

Okay.

Now, So I was asking God, God, what do you

want me to say to your precious people here in

x KK and he led me actually to the book

of Genesis, to the life of Noah. Noah, all right,

So today I'm going to be yes Noah.

Okay.

I'm going to be preaching from the life of Noah,

which is gonna be from Genesis chapter five to nine, okay,

and I'm going to pick out different scriptures.

Yeah. And I asked God why Noah? Why Noah?

And so God just you know, spoke to me saying

that if you read Genesis, Noah is the first person.

That it was recorded that he obeyed God.

So, yeah, we read about Adam and Eve, and we

know obviously they did not obey God. Right, we read

about Cain and Abel. Yeah, we read about the genealogy,

but Noah was the first character where it was clearly

mentioned and recorded that he obeyed God.

And it was.

Mentioned not just once twice, but three times. Yeah, and

so we're gonna learn from his life, all right. So

let's look at Genesis chapter five, verse twenty eight. So

let's sten to our Bibles if we can, if not

last resort, yes, we have it on the screen. Okay,

Genesis chapter five, verse twenty eight. So I'm also going

to turn to my Bible. Okay, So it says when

Lameck had lived one hundred and eighty two years, he

fathered a son and called his name Noah, saying out

of the ground that the Lord has cursed this one

shall bring us relief from our work and from the

painful toil of our hands.

So this is the first mention of Noah.

His father is called lamec Right, Lamac actually means powerful.

The meaning of his father's name Lamack is powerful. But

the meaning of Noah's name is very different. The meaning

of Noah's name is actually to rest. Everybody, say rest,

How many of you like to rest? Oh have a

good name after Thisah Sunday nap, Yes, So Noah's name

means rest, to rest, amen, Okay, So just leave that

with us. And fun fact, Noah was actually the ninth

generation of human beings after Adam, so he's actually very

close to Adam the linage, So he's the ninth generation.

Under Adam. True the Seth Linage.

Remember Adam had Cain and abel Abel was killed by Cain,

and then after that Adam had Seth.

Yeah, and then Seth.

Lynash nine generations down Noah, all right, and actually Noah. Yeah,

is the great great grandfather many times over of Abraham

and of course the lineage of Jesus.

Okay, now, okay.

The first point that I want to actually share with us,

and you can take down this point if you're taking notes,

is the first point is obey God in every season

of our lives. Obey God in every season of our lives.

Okay. Sounds simple, not easy to do. Okay.

Now, let's read Genesis chapter five, verse thirty two. Genesis

chapter five, verse thirty two, it says, after Noah was

five hundred years old, and Noah be good, sham Ham

and Jeffeth. Okay, now, why is this significant. It's after

this verse that God decides to destroy the earth, and

it's after this verse that God asked Noah to build

an arc for him. So it's after Noah was five

hundred years old that God called him to do this

really crazy, ridiculous.

Thing, to build an arc.

Now, let's jump all the w way to Genesis chapter nine,

verse twenty nine. Genesis chapter nine, verse twenty nine, it

says all the days of Noah were nine hundred and

fifty years and he died.

So do some basic maths with me.

Noah was five hundred years old when and abirth when

God told him to build the Ark, and he died

at nine hundred and fifty years Okay, so five hundred

years old is about his midlife season, right, true or not?

It's about I mean, slightly past the mid line.

But you can consider five hundred years as his midlife season.

So it's not that Noah was a young man when

God called him to obey him. Noah was, you know,

in the mid of his life, the prime of his

life where God caught him to obey him. Okay, Now,

if we just compare it to our modern day life. Statistically,

our modern day life life expectancy is between seventy to

eighty years old Malaysian data. Okay, that's just in a

natural If you look in the Bible, all right, I

won't turn to the verse, but I'll just give you

Palm chapter ninety verse ten.

Psalm ninety verse ten.

It says, Ah, so the years of our life are

seventy or by reason of strength, eighty. So even the

Bible tells us that our life expectancy is about seventy

to eighty years old, quite consistent with data. And so

if you take that midpoint of our live expectancy seventy

to eight years old. Our mid life will be about

forty years old plus minus right. So I don't know

how many of us here we are forty minus ten

forty plus ten, but I think it's quite a big group, healer, right,

And so imagine God asking you to build an arc

in your mid life.

Can you relate to that.

God asking you to build an ask for him in

your mid life? God asking you to do something that

has never been done before, crazy, ridiculous and impossible in

your mid life, God calling you to obey him in

your mid life, the prime of your life.

Would you do it? Something to learn from Noah? He

did it.

Noah obeyed God in the prime of his life many times.

In the prime of our lives.

We give it to our family, we give it to

the world, we give it to our careers. But really,

if God calls you in the prime of your life

to obey him, would you obey him?

Yeah? That's something I want to live with you.

Okay, all right, now, next point okay, point number two.

Walking with God helps us to obey him. Walking with

God helps us to obey him. Okay, let me explain

this point, let's look at Genesis chapter six, verse five,

all the way to verse nine. Genesis six, verse five. Okay,

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was

great in the earth, and that every intention of the

thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the

Lord regretted that he had made man on earth, and

it grieved him to his heart. So the Lord said,

I will blot out men whom I've created from the

face of the land, man and animals and creeping things

and birds of the heavens, for I'm sorry that I

made them verse nine. But Noah found favor in the

eyes of the Lord verse nine. Sorry, I say verse

eight earlier on verse nine. Now, these are the generations

of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation.

Noah walked with God. Amen. You know, when we.

Think of the story of Noah, we always zoom into

the part where God told him about the flood, told

him to build the app. He built the app. They

went into the app They floated for one year. Actually,

then after finally they came out, you know, the rainbow.

But I always wondered, God, how on earth did a

person like Noah in the prime of his life, obey

you to do something that has never been done before. Actually,

this reminds you a lot of as the kind of yeah,

God just asking him to do many things that has

not been done before in Malaysia, even in the world,

and he just does it by faith. Such a father

of faith. You know, how did Noah do it. It's

not like Noah became a hero overnight. It's because leading

up to God's call for him to build the Ark,

he was already walking with God. Don't know when he

started to work with God, but he was already walking

with God. And so the point came where God asked

him to do something for him, it probably was a

little bit easier for Noah to say yes because he

was already walking with God.

Yeah, you know. And it's just like Daniel and the Lions. Then.

You know, Daniel already walked with God from the days

of his youth, and so that's why he will stand

against the kings. So God, you know, he will not

expect you to do something that you cannot do. He

will give you something that's proportionate to your walk with him.

But you got to walk with him.

You know.

Earlier this year, I remember cannot sharing with us leaders.

You know, we can be so busy, so faithful, walking

for God, but are we really walking with Him? It's

one thing to walk for God, meaning, Lord, I serve you, Lord, Lord,

I witness for you God, God, I do many things

for you. That's walking for God. But are we walking

with God in the first place, really having that personal

walk with God, having that personal time with God, you know,

having reading His word, personally praying, praising Him even in

the behind closed doors. For me personally, right, the asse

test is, Jill, will you still worship God, you know,

with all your might behind closed doors? To me, there's

always an acid test. Will I pray the way I

pray behind closed doors as I do in church?

Yeah?

Will I read my Bible even if I'm not preparing

for Sunday or for homes when I'm not in trouble?

Will I read so all this in the secret place?

So I believe this is also God's challenge to us

today and encouragement.

Where are you, my child?

Right?

God wanted to walk with Adam and Eve in the

garden of Eden, and they hid from him.

He says, where are you? How is your personal walk

with God? This season?

Don't be too busy serving God and not actually walking

with him. We can actually walk for God, we can

actually serve him, but we cannot be walking with God.

We don't have that personal work we've got, and then

that will actually make us powerless and we might get

burnt out as well. The secret to walking for God

continuously and not getting burnt out is to actually walk

with God. Because God says in Isaiah forty one, they

that weigh upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They

shall rise up like an eagle. Yeah, and so what

is the secret to keep walking for God strong? Is

to walk with God closely? You see how past us,

You know, they just not walk. You know, they are running,

flying for God NonStop. But how is it that they

still have strength day after day to smile at us,

to shake our hands, to give us a harp, to

encourage us, to pray for us, to laugh with us,

to march on with us, the party with us?

Haha?

How is it that our pastors have strength? You know,

I personally was very very encouraged. You know, pasas ANDREI

just came back from UK and Germany earlier I think

last week, right, and she came back on the Tuesday

and Thursday, I flew to Melbourne so and Pastor came

back having jet leg some more so. Tuesday she came

back jet lag. Thursday she sent me to the airport

early morning. She didn't need to, you know, she could have.

I could have just taken a grab KK to airport

is not too far, or one of our other church

leaders of partners could have sent me. But she personally

made sure, Jill, I will send you. I said, Nolah,

you're you just came back, you're jet like. She did

it anyway, So I really felt like bitter and Jesus

washed my feet really really just on the perssendra.

She she she did that. She drove me even though

she's tired, but she she did that.

But where does she find the inner strength to keep

going past the kennev as well?

It's because they walk with the Lord.

I know for not just a fact but a matter

of truth, that they really spend time walking with God.

They wake up early, they seek the Lord. They weighed

upon him and their strength is renewed like an eagle,

and that's why they walked strong for him.

So, friends, I know church is growing.

You guys are serving great, but please don't just walk

for God, but walk with him like how Noah did.

Okay, like how pastors do.

Yeah, and then you will find strength to walk for

him and not burn out.

Okay, all right. So the third point is.

When we obey God, we help others to know him.

When we obey God, we help others to know him. Okay, Now, Genesis,

we're gonna look at Genesis chapter six. All right, Um, okay,

I'm just gonna paraphrase, paraphrase this part of scripture. Okay,

all right, and okay, man, we'll just read it. I

think it's good.

Okay. Genesis chapter six, Verse eleven.

Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the

earth was filled with violence.

Sounds familiar. And God saw the earth, and behold it

was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on

the earth.

Verse thirteen. And God said to Noah, I have determined

to make an end of all flesh, for the earth

is filled with violence.

True them.

Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Verse fourteen.

Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in

the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch.

Verse fifteen. This is how you are to make it

the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breath

fifty cubits, and its high thirty cubits. Make a roof

for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above,

and set the door of the ark in its side.

Make it with lower second and third decks Verse seventeen.

For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon

the earth to destroy all flesh, in which is the

breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the

earth shall die. But I will establish my covenant with you,

and you shall come into the ark. You your sons,

your wife, and your son's wives with you, And of

every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two

of every sort into the arp to keep them alive.

With you.

They shall be male and female, of the birds according

to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds.

Of every creeping thing of the ground according to its kind,

Two of every sort shall come in to you to

keep them alive. Also, take with you every sort of

food that is eaten and stored up. It shall serve

as food for you and for them. Verse twenty two.

Noah did this. He did all that God commanded him,

and This is the key verse. Noah did this, He

did all that God commanded him.

It's the first mention of obedience.

Noah did what God asked him to do, and he

didn't just do it halfway.

He did all.

And this is what obedience really is, doing what God

commands us and doing it all the way, not halfway.

Trick got the way nineteen nine percent. It must be

all okay, All right? Now, Noah had never seen an

arc at that time. It really seemed like out of

the world thing. But he still obeyed and trusted God

anyway to build it. People have never seen an art

at that time. They probably questioned him gaukaw and tease him,

ridiculo him, caucao. But he still did it anyway, and

he didn't build an up over days and months.

It took many years.

Bible scholars cannot agree on how many years it takes took,

but it definitely took many years to build the arc.

All right, I want to just show us a video

in a while, XDV. Can you have me to get

Now?

Did you know that there is a replica of Noah's

arc life life size in the US in the state

of Kentucky. So a man called can Hem. Yeah, can Hem.

He's a Christian, a strong believer. He built a life

size Noah's Ark in the middle of Kentucky in US

in twenty sixteen, and he has opened it to be

like a museum for people to go in and experience.

How would life in the arc be?

Like?

Okay, so we're gonna play this video from thirty seconds

to two minutes and thirty seconds.

Let's have a look.

So I remember some time back when you first told

me about your plans to build the arc, and then

the day came when I finally made it over and

I rounded that corner and I actually saw it. I mean,

it's overwhelming. And you you know, when you look at pictures,

you can't you just can't appreciate the size. In fact,

when I show people pictures, I have to zoom in

and say, those are people there. Those things that look

like ants, they are human beings.

You know.

Well, think about the.

Link of this for the moment. It's one to half

times the link to the football field. It's half the

width of the football field. That's three point three million board.

Feet of timber.

So it's five hundred and.

Ten feet eighty five feet white, fifty one feet high

from ground level. Here, please see there's people walking. From

ground level.

To the top of the roof is seven.

Stories, but to the top of the bow there is

ten stories. It is the biggest of what's called timber frame.

Structure in the world.

Well, I want to look at all that, So let's

go inside, Ken, and I want you to. I want

you to take me to some of your favorite exhibits

and help people understand why it as you put this

thing up the first one.

Okay, let's do it all right, the.

Wow factor just keeps increasing, So tell us what's going on.

Well, the storm is time. You can hear it in

the background. I see the lightning now and there he

is trusting their voyage now to the Lord because he

knew they were.

Going to protect them.

It's interesting because I think people think, no, one just

threw a bunch of animals on the arc and it

just kind of ran around in this open thing. But

I mean this is sophisticated. You know, there's a there's

a feeding system, there's order.

The ark isn't on my word, and then it's tree

levels some more now and then there's to be a

system for humans, animals, their food, their waste, et cetera.

There's no way that Noah could have built this except

just you know, hearing from God and trusting him. No

man would have come up with this even up to now,

right the year twenty twenty four. This is the largest

wooden vessel on water. Man has not built a ship

as big as this. This is big as big as

or bigger than Titanic.

Yeah. Yeah, and God kept it afloat Titanic. You know

what happened, right.

Yes, So yeah, when you do something of the Lord,

he will preserve you amen through the flood. So the

others get to know him. So obey him, so the

others get to know him. Is because Noah obeyed that

the lineage of Jesus came and the Savior came at

the end of the day, and the whole earth has

a chance to know God. Noah had a part to play,

Abraham had a part to play. Different ones had a

part to play for Jesus to come so that all

may know him. Amen, and okay, now the yeah, let's

go to the final point, the fourth point, which is

following God's timing is an important part of obeying him.

Following God's timing is an important important part of knowing him.

It's not just yes, Lord, I will obey you, but

you got to follow It's timing as well. All right,

if we look at Genesis chapter one to verse five, Okay, yeah,

basically I'm not gonna read through the verse in detail,

but basically, after the Lord had asked Noah to build

the arp and he actually built the up, Noah had

to wait for God to enter the ark because Noah

didn't know when was the flirt coming, So he was

just waiting on God, God, when do we enter the up?

And then if we look at.

Genesis chapter eight, verse thirteen to verse nineteen, Genesis chapter eight,

verse thirteen to nineteen, Noah, after being in the art

with that, everyone had to also wait on God when

to come out of the ark. He wouldn't know. Yes,

Noah did some research. He sent out a raven, he

sent out a death. He actually uncovered the roof of

the ark to look at, you know, the land. Noah

did do some research but Noah did not act on

his own research and wisdom. Noah waited for God's word

and timing. And this is what I want I want

to conclude with early on we spoke about obeying God,

but I also want to caution us that as we

obey God, we got to wait for his word and

timing when to take that next step, When to take

that next step? When to take that next step. We

see that from Noah's life. He built it out already,

but there's just half the battle of obedience.

He still had to wait for God's timing. Go in now.

Wait, do you know they were in the art for

one year, three hundred and sixty five days. There was

ultimate lockdown okay altermod, ultimate lockdown with family members with

animals with their waist. My goodness, I cannot imagine it.

One year lockdown in the art, and I'm sure they

can't wait to get out. But Noah wasn't impatient or restless.

He waited for God's timing to get out. And so

even as we choose to obey God that all may

know him, let's also wait upon God for his word

and timing.

To take that next step. Let's not go in our

own wisdom of foolishness. Amen.

Amen, And I just want to end with a story.

Yeah.

So, like I said, a few weeks ago, my family

and I we went to Krabi for a short trip,

and honestly, I was so busy leading up to the

trip that I did not plan any itinerary. Yeah, how

many of you here when you go for holiday, you

already pay money, you sacrifice your leave.

Of course, you plan itinery cow raise your hands, raise

your hands, raise your hands. Ah yeah you.

I will normally do that as well, But this season,

I'm just so busy that I did not have any

capacity to plan our itinerary.

Zero.

All I did was pack our bags, We go to

the airport, fly there. Then on the way in the flight,

I just say, Lord, I have no plans. Can you

just be our travel master?

Take over? Take over from here. And that's a very

dangerous thing to.

Tell God, because when you let God take over, he

will really take over.

So he really took Overla.

We landed in Krabi and then we took a taxi

from the airport to the hotel. Halfway, the taxi driver

drop us at his friends to ad agent that just opened.

So he wants to support her business. So she shared

with us some plans for the next few days. Go

to the island La, go to the jungle, lar different things,

and we finally discussed and negotiated, Okay, this is what

we want, and I thank God for this because yeah,

he sent someone to help us plan.

Right.

So on one of the days we actually went to

the jungle area. Yeah, so Krabbi is not just a

sea side area, but it has very nice jungles.

We need some hiking.

And then we actually saw all their natural water watering

holes like their hot springs. There was an emerald pool

whether the water is just emerald color, yeah, and then

another blue lagoon, which is this picture. Yeah, so they

saw We had to climb quite high up and deep in.

It's a see this pool is naturally blue and so amazing. Yeah,

it looks like there is blue colored chalk at the bottom.

But the caution is we are not supposed to jump

in and swim. It's so tempting to jump in and swim,

right because that the base of this blue lagoon is

actually quicksand ah, so it's very dangerous. Go in, cannot

come out, so we could see but cannot touch, cannot

jump in.

So this this was that day's trip.

Now why I share this is because going from the

hotel to the jungle took us one and a half

hours and driving back vice versa. So I'm gonna can

me show the next picture and this is the final picture.

So we set the twelve n and a lady sat

next to me in the picture. This was taken at

the end of the tripper. Start of the trip is

very different. Okay, I really didn't want to talk to her.

I'm a last to talk because I'm so tired. I'd

be so busy, right, I just want to rest. Don't

talk to me. I don't talk to you. And if

I come to that point right, means I'm really tired

because I like to talk to people. But if I

don't want to talk to people means I just really

need a wrestler. Okay, yes, I understand, right. But then

the Holy Spirit say no, jail you talk to her.

I'm like, ha, God, I'm on break right now. I

want to rest. I save you so hot ready, I

want to rest you understand right, Holy Spirit won't let

me go. It's like Jacob wrestling with her in Jew

of God. So in the end, I gave in to God.

I say, okay, God, you're so strong the prompting.

I will talk to her.

So I initiated a conversation with her. I introduced my

name and then found out her name. And for the

rest of the journey we were talking unstopped. One and

a half hours to the jungle, one and a half

hours back, three hours at least.

Okay, about everything under the sun.

So she's a German lady, but she stays in Spain,

and she has a son a few years older than Judah.

And so we're talking like everything under the sun. And

towards the end of our trip, where we were going

to reach the hotel, I felt the holy spray sage

Jail offered to pray for her.

Then I say, your God, I really talked to her

in Enavla. You want me to pray for her some more.

I'm just her tree, our friend. I only know how

for three hours?

Are you?

So?

PI say right?

But again God's prompting was so strong. Yeah, when we wrestle,

we got God wins her. We can never win Israel

the Lord. He prevails. And so I say, okay, God,

I will ask her if she wants me to pray

for her. If she says no, it's okay. So I

told so. Her name is Nicole, I said, Nicole. I'm

actually a Christian and I walk with God every day

and I hear his voice clearly, and God is telling

me now before we part our ways, to actually pray

for you.

Can I do that?

And then I was ready for a rejection and a no,

But to my surprise, she replied very quickly, yes, please

pray for me. She jumped at it. You know, I

tell your people out there are looking for God. You

we think that man, You know, they probably reject us.

Are You'll be so surprised. They're like hungry lions, you know.

They were pounds at every opportunity to have more of God,

more of God's word in their life, more of God's prayer,

more have got power in their lives. Okay, hungry hungry?

The harvest is plentiful, right, laborers are few. So then,

because we were talking so much, I could discern what

her needs were. And so I prayed for the next

ten minutes as the Holy Spirit led for different needs,

and the Holy Spirit showed me more things.

To pray for her as well.

And yeah, and so I continue to pray, and after

ten minutes we open our eyes and we looked up

and she was in tears and she said, you know, Jail,

thank you for praying for me. I really feel God

so strongly with me right now. And then she showed

me her hand right See the hair on my hand

is standing, and that's how much I feel God here

right now. And I say, oh, praise God. I say,

that's our God, you know, who is close to us

and rail and powerful. And after that, God asked me

to tell her one more thing. He said, Nicole, I

want you to come back now, backtrack a little bit.

Nicole actually used to be a Christian, used to go

to church as a young person. But when she started

studying in university, she started working, she started being a mom,

she stopped going to church, and she went far away

from God. And I said, you know, Nicole, it can't

be a coincidence. I'm from Malaysia, you are from Spain, Germany,

meeting here on a trip in Krabi US talking about

God praying.

I don't think it's a coincidence.

I think God set us up for this, and I

think he's calling you back to his side. And she said,

I think so too, Jill. I don't believe this is

a coincidence. And so after that, you know, she asked

me more about ex Germany. She was going to be

launched that we can and I texted Passandra and then

you know, ask if I could connect her with dories.

So connect her with dories and just believing like that

God has planted a seed and one day Nicole will

come back to Jesus and his house in his timing

and ways. But a seed has been planted. But it

wasn't easy. You know, I had to be walking with God.

I had to obey him, even though it seems ridiculous.

I had to trust his timing. But it can be done. Friends,

So this is God's word for us today.

Obey that all may know.
