First to Prayer - Then to Missions | Elder Terence Atkinson

We hope this message will light up your tea.

So you've heard a lot about missions, and this is

the missions you know, will be the missions conferences we

can and well for the whole month of August, we've

been talking about that, and I want to share with

you certain perspectives perhaps that will help you, that will

encourage you, and we'll let you know that God is

truly a wonderful God and is working with us every

day of our lives. Yeah, so maybe this morning I'll

start off with, you know, testimonies on the past and

the present. You know, the thing about missions is we

are I think most of us are afraid to talk

to somebody or they even talk to a stranger about

Jesus Christ. Is that right. We're so afraid of getting rejected,

isn't it. We're so afraid that, you know, people won't

listen to us, and then what happens is we start

to stop talking about him. You know, the Bible says

that we are to witness. In Matthew twenty eight, verses

nineteen and twenty, it says, go therefore the world and

preach the gospel, making disciples, you know, and that's a

scripture that we will cover. So actually, before I get

to all the scriptures, I just want to talk to

you about missions. You know, the Bible says go. So

that means every time we get out of it, guess

what we are going. Every time you step out of

your front door, you are going. If you don't get

out of your house, you haven't gone. So what does

that mean? That means every person in every place outside

of your front door, it's missions. Yeah. And when you

understand that, so therefore, going to some place other than

your house to do some work for the Lord, it's visions,

and it becomes not so difficult to do. Yeah, you

go to Bantong, or you go to Kaha, or you

go to check my or you go wherever you go.

Because it's not your house. It's missions. So it doesn't

become difficult to do anymore, becomes a little bit easier.

So encourage you. When the opportunities come up to do missions,

go for it, man, Just go for it. How many

of you are not from kil You're not your hometown,

you're not from kl you're not from slang Ola, You're

from outside. How many see at least sixty percent. Guess

what you're doing? Ye all are doing missions? Hey, do

you realize that you qualify because you're not in your

own house. So every time you speak about Jesus, what

are you doing? You are witnessing witnesses to tell something

good about the Lord. And so what if people don't

like it? So what if people reject you? They reject

your Jesus, but they they cannot remove him from your heart.

So about a month ago, I was in uh I

was on holiday with the Mabel and we were away

with another country, and I was reading this YouTube no no, no, no,

no Facebook maybe YouTube post, and it was about some

storm that was happening, you know, motor boats flying everywhere.

It was as a tornado. And then of course there

was one American guy who spoke profanities about God. You know,

where is this God? And then everybody was cheering him.

So I decided I wasn't gonna let that stand. So

I decided to actually comment to him and I said,

you know, why do you blame God for what you've done?

So he took offense at that. Oh, you know, you

are a person who's afraid, and that's why I said

you better believe I'm afraid you're afraid of going to Yeah,

of course I'm afraid going to hell. You know you

you know Europe. You think this god. I just said,

then you must be one of those they believe you

came from a monkey. I never said that. I said, well,

if you don't believe you came from God, then the

other theories you came from a monkey it is, you know,

stop using word silence on me. So I just said,

I just want you to know that there's a God

who loves you. Whether you choose to believe it or not,

that's all right. But when you decide that you need him,

he's there for you. And I purposely did this in

this guy's post, all the jokers who were yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,

I could see it. I'm going to make a difference.

I don't know. I just decided I was fear about

people abusing the name of the Lord. So that was

one time I wasn't gonna let it stand. So when

you witness about Jesus, what you witness about him, you

know what I did. I tell you the testimonies or

when I went to Singapore. I want to repeat it.

I told you when I studied there. I want to

tell you some things about the past, all right, I

want to tell you some things about the past, and

then I'll tell you some things about the present. In

case you think you only live in the past, No,

but you must know that your impact in the past

has an impact in the present, though you may not see.

So I went to Singapore. I was just a Christian

about three months, and I touched myself to it. Well.

I was taking a church hostel all right while I

was studying there. And so every night, when I finished

dinner and my homework and all that, I will help

the pastor and we will pray for deliverance cases, you know,

all the deliverance cases those who are impacted or possessed

by the evil One and his Cronyus, Cronius, his demons.

So I would be praying with the pastor and the

team until about four five in the morning. Then I

catch maybe of an hour's sleep to our sleep, go

and get ready for school. Go to school from seven

to seven because by the time I got back from

to Pandan Gardens from Pyaliba the Jenneys about one and

a half hours. Have my dinner, wash my clothes, do

my homework and then back in church again. And this

is what I kept doing over and over and over

again every day. So every time I go to school,

I would share it my friends about the wonderful power

of God and how just with the name of Jesus,

people were being delivered. I shared with them how that

when we were praying for one person who was, you know,

possessed by evil spirits, that at the time we were praying,

three since says A priests came up to the gate

of the church because they knew we were praying for

this guy, you know. And I witnessed this as the

three of them took one step into the church ground,

all of them hinted, then they got up in the

rad and I was sharing these with my friends, and

I thought, oh, I don't know whether I'm having any impact.

I'm sharing, I'm witnessing about the power of Jesus, and

I don't know whether there's an impact. Fast forward twenty

five thirty years, so now there's this wonderful thing called Facebook.

And because of Facebook I managed to connect with some

of them. I lost contact with them for thirty years,

twenty five years because their names and addresses and telephone

numbers were on my computer and how many view those? Know?

Those days it was hard days, and when the hard

days crashed everything. When now you've got the cloud, as

Kamalai Harris says, it's in the cloud somewhere and she's

a she's a cloud hit. I'm not supposed to say

that her. No, no, no, but I'm not saying it for myself.

That's what she said, Like, you know, I actually go

to the internet. She said that herself, So I'm okay.

So anyway, as the story goes, I lost contact with them,

and then after many, many, many years, I just found

them again. So there was this one girl, very close

friend of mine, the Mahbeless met her. She said, you know, Terrence,

the one thing that I always remember and I shared

with people, was you said that nothing, no evil can

come upon us unless Jesus allows it. And if Jesus

allows it, it means you can handle it. She said.

That kept me going for so many years. I only

found out later on. Then there was this guy that

I stayed with because I met his parents and his

parents thought I was a very good influence on their son.

So they asked me to come and live with them.

So after my first year of living in the church,

I came to live with them, and because you know,

I was sorry, Yeah, I'm not boasting again. I was

a model person, very responsible, hate preferred for my school,

Singapore school, and religion in my studies. So the parents thought, hey,

hell rub off on my son, because the son was

a real rascalar well, as it stood, I did rub

off on him a little bit. I gave him certain

advice that helped him later on. And the thing about

it is, I lost take with him for twenty five

thirty years, and we were trying to find him. I

don't know where he went. And finally, on the day

I gave up looking for him. This is the day

I gave up looking. I said, God, I give up

looking for this guy. I've tried everything in my power

and I cannot find him. I do not know whether

he's alive or he's dead. He's like a brother to me,

by the way, but I give up. I'm done. I'm

fed up. I'm not going to look for him anymore.

His history. That same night, I went to lie down

on my bed and I felt God tell me in

my heart, go and look for him. Now. It was

that kind of urgency. It was twelve midnight. I got

up out of bed. I went to the computer and

did everything I had always done, and I found him.

Next morning, I put a phone call to that number

that I He says, oh he just retired. I said,

this guy will want to know me, give him my number,

get him to call within half an hour. We connected

after twenty five thirty years. Immediately after the pandemic was

over and a lot, I traveled to Bangkok going meet

up with him. We met up with him and found

that he had married a Christian lady a tie and

then he told me, you know I married her. And

the day we were shifting house, I had a door bell,

and the door bell rang. I opened the front door

and there was all these people, very nice people who

come to help me share. I was so touched. I

told my wife I want to follow her the church

the next Sunday. When I went to church Sunday, I

saw them and they were having lunch. They were all

sitting on the floor and eating. So I told my wife, no,

I don't, that's right. Let's buy them tables and chairs.

So he bought them tables and chairs. He says Terrence,

I gave my life to the word. He didn't stop there,

he said, I built. Now he's a millionaire, okay, doing

very well for himself. He built one factory, says I

wasn't satisfied. I bought a plot of land by the

side of my factory. I put up a church. Wow,

isn't I wonderful? Said Terrence. I didn't stop there. I

built another four factories, and every factory lot that I built,

I bought a plot of land and put up a

church because his pastor is also a very uh you know,

a past that believes in going out for missions. Then

he said, you know, Terrence, my money was tied up

also because of the pandemic. My money was tied up.

So when I bought my nixt factory, I only enough

money to buy the land. But I was feeling so

sad because we wanted to put up a Christian school,

but I had no more money. Then I say, I

had an idea. I started talking to my friend's One

friend said, now mine, I'll pay for the whole school.

So they built the whole school. So when I met

him school I just started. After one week, they had

seven students. When I visited him, the following year he

had twenty twenty five students. So and they actually Christian education.

We're giving Christian education. And then the last time I

met him last year, he said, Terrence, I but a

rubber estate up north in Thailand North. He says, I

cleared two acres go. I want to put up a

church there. So he showed me a picture of the church.

He put up this little church in the middle of nowhere,

and then he showed pictures of them going around together

with the pastor sharing when he put that up there,

three people after one year. Now they're twenty twenty five

people attending that that little church way up there. And

then he says, you know, I let them run the

rubber plantation, give them, allow them to make money from it.

They just give me a little bit potion, but they

got money to run. And then I, you know, is

that wonderful? There's one guy praise Lord. Twenty five years

He says, I remember everything that you told me, and

everything click. You don't know what's happening, what kind of

impact you have? Not a friend of mine. We were

a gang of foller, youang of folk. So I've already

told you to one more he met up with me.

He says, you know, Terence, I was a functioning alcoholic,

very well to do in his business course running every morning.

But you take water at nine am. He takes whiskey.

Functioning alcoholic until one day he didn't feel so good.

He went to the doctors and they said, you have

third stage orso figure cancer of the osa figures that one.

To operate, they have to cut you up from the back.

Cannot cut from the front because of your heart, so

cut from the back, and only twenty percent of life.

Twenty percent survived that operation. And uh, and I was

an alcoholic. So during the operation I just about died

because my BBI went to two hundred. I was crashing.

And then I heard gospel songs in my years and

I met this great line. He says, your time is

not yet come. I'm sending you back, Bob. He came

back to the hospital within a week from an operation

that twenty percent, no, no, only twenty percent survived. He

walked out of within a week. You know what he

called his subordinate, I want you to run the business today.

He's a missionary throughout Southeast Asia. I'll tell you another one.

So this is my classmate and then after many years,

he says, Terrence, Hi connected on Facebook. I'm a pastor. Ah,

how did that happen? He says, you ought to blame me.

What did I do? He said? Don't you remember what

you wrote in my autograph book? I say, are you crazy?

That was thirty years ago. He says, this is what

you wrote in the autograph book. If ever you run

into trouble, call on the name of Jesus and he

will come and help you. That's what missions is. You

are telling about Jesus who can help them, so they

don't accept Christ straight away.

So what.

I'm soon to see he was a really really rich guy,

a multi millionaire. He had his own yacht. That tells

you how rich he is. He was alone in the

water on his own yacht. He said, something happened and

I was about to die and there was no one

to help me. I remember what you wrote in my

autograph book. And I called on the name of Jesus

and he came on the water and he helped me.

When I got to show, I gave everything up and

I decided to follow Jesus. He became a pastor. And

you're afraid to do missions. I told you how the

first six people out of the first six people that

came to the Lord because I told them about Jesus,

three are pastors today. That's forty five years ago. And

I'm not a pastor. I'm not because I believe to

be a pastor you have to have a very very

special annointing right now, no fastor Steven. It is anointing

of the Holy Spirit. I hold pastors in high regard.

But all I was doing was telling what I knew.

I was witnessing about how good Jesus is, and when

they were ready to receive it, they accepted the Lord.

So what makes it difficult for you to share about Jesus.

You're just telling how good he's been to you. That's

what missions is all about. So you get it. Opportunity go,

because what are you going to do. We went for

missions once to Karawachi. You know what we did. We

sold all clothes. That was the mission, you know why,

so that we could put so they could put children

to school. You know how many people got to know

about Jesus because we were selling clothes missions, That's what it.

Just like Paul who was a tent maker who made

tents while he winnessed to everybody whom he came and

he dealt with. Right. So that guy now is a

pastor of Gateway in Jakata. I think you can see

he's on Facebook. Is his preaching is on Facebook? Really

nice guy. So that's from the past. Right, let's stop president.

Just in case you think Jesus only works in the past,

Jesus works all the time. You only find out about

it now. But you see, the seeds were sown in

the past. So when you go for missions and you say, ah,

I didn't see anything happen, you don't have to see now.

In when you go and meet with the Lord, you

know how many people are going to come up to

say thank you for sharing Jesus me, and you're going

to be surprised, just like I was thirty years down

the road and I found out these people had changed

because of all the things I was telling them every day.

So twenty or thirty years from now, the Lord gives

me life, I'm going to find out about those that

I shared with Jesus now and how they've changed. You

don't have to find out straight away, but everywhere you go,

you know, making disciples is also making disciples is sharing

about the truths of the Gospel and how they can

change your life, and how you should live in accordance

with that. To see your life constantly changed. Do you

think about that? Okay? President? So we had this neighbor,

the neighbor you see, we have this. I don't know

whether you've told you about this dog that we have.

Her name is Nala. She is a rescue dog. Okay,

she's a shizoo. They founder, my neighbor's founder. When she

was five months old, cast on the road or cast

caught in a fence with the tail cut off, leg injured,

scrawny little thing. So she said, we're going to keep it.

And but after a week she said, my mom's not well,

I can't. Is there anyone willing to look after We

are not dog people, are we offered? So today she's

now two years two years plus. She is the bravest

little girl you'll ever find. She's not afraid of anyone

or anything, and she has full run of the house.

But because of her, the whole neighborhood has come together.

We met so many people, We got to know so

many people. One of the neighbors father fell ill. Father

was maybe eight years old, fathers having cancer and they

have tried sharing Jesus with him. He would not receive

the Lord. So I had in my heart that Terrence,

you're going to talk to him. So I did. He

was in hospital in cy cyber Cybergia, the cancer hospital,

Cancer Hospital is CYBERGI. As I was going, it was raining, very, very,

very heavily, but in the car, I just knew that

the Lord was going to be something. When I got

to the place he was up, he was lucid, very

clear minded, and I just told him, I said, do

you know, let me tell you Jesus loves you and

he wants you to know him as a friend. He

wants to be able to receive you into him into king.

Do you know that you are dying? How many of

you will talk to somebody like that. I am sixty

three years old, I'm already older. I got no patience

to beat around the bush. I've got no time to

beat around the bush. He said, do you know that

very soon you're going to meet him? Question is will

you meet him as a friend? I said, look at

your family. They want you to love him, they want

you to know him, They want you to experience that

wonderful mention, he's got ready for you because he loves you.

I said, I had a sister when she had cancer.

She said, I don't know what else to do, and

I told her, You've done everything you need to do

because despite your pain, you have not given up on

the name of Jesus. So henceforth laid up for you

is a mansion, and you're going to get it. You're

going to be there. When I told this to the man,

I said, do you want to receive Jesus christis Lord

and Cevior. He said yes. I say, hang on a minute,

I call his daughter. I call it. Okay, let's pray together,

and led him to the Lord. See when a person

wants to accept the Lord, you know what My first

response was always or not strange enough? Wait, okay, that

was about four months ago. Five months ago. M hm,

no idea, I'll get to that. Okay, now uh. A

few months ago there was another gentleman who did not

want to receive a lot. He had heard a lot

of story he had her asked him, no, I don't

want to see I'm not really an I heard he

was in the hospital. So when I went to the

hospital as I was driving again, heavy rain. I don't

know what is it about? When I go and chair

heavy rain, heavy rain, spraying? Lord? What do I tell him?

How do I get through to him? Then the Lord said, badminton? Ah, badminton, Yes, badminton.

So I went to see him the bit and I

was talking to him the bedside bedside. I said, sir,

do you know you're dying? Yes? You see because people

skim around itself times and so you know, because this

guy believed that everything was going to be okay. Yeah,

everything can be okay if you know Jesus. If you know,

don't know Jesus. I'm not so sure, all right, So

I have to tell him the reality, and the reality

was that he was dying. Do you know that this

is what it is? Then I asked him, do you

play badminton? I like badminton? I say, okay, very good.

I say, you know that Jesus has served the shuttle

to you, and he's waiting for you to hit it

back to him before he can hit it back to you.

If you don't hit him the shuttle back, you are

asking to see Jesus. How can he show himself to you?

Because he died for you on the cross to take

away your sin. He served the shuttle to you. Now

you want to play with him. You got to hit

shuttle back by saying, Jesus, I believe. Do you want

to accept Jesus as Lord and severe? Yes? This is

about three months ago. And after that he did say

that Jesus came into the room and met with him.

It was just a bride light. He could see the face. Then,

about a couple of weeks before his death, he said,

there were two men dressed in white. They came in,

they discussed something, and then they disappeared. So I just

told his niece he's going to go home. So be ready.

I want you to know that everybody you speak to

is missions. That's for you when you get out of

your house now. But there is a purpose for you

to go somewhere else, because the fact the matters of

profit is never welcome in his own town. Jesus himself said,

so there is something you take somewhere else when you go.

You may not see it, you may not realize it,

but it happens. So now after all that, you'll get

to the message. And I can cover all the things

because I've given you all the okay, So it says here,

First to prayer, then to missions. Hey, I told you

what as I was going to see the guy, what

did I do? Lord? What do I tell him? And

then the answer also surprised me. I couldn't believe the answer, Badminton.

God has got a sense of humor. Sometimes I can't

hear him laugh. Okay, So first to prayer, then to missions,

and as I told you, Matthew twenty nineteen twenty, go

therefore make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in

the name of the Father and the Son of the

Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I've

commanded you. And lo, I'm with you even until the

end of the age. Amen. So when I was sharing

in my friends, I was teaching them, Hey, Jesus, at

the name of Jesus, the enemy crumbles. And that's something

they remember. This doing always make us successful. Enough, let

me ask you this, okay, this doing always makes you successful.

There is the task is to go. We have to go.

The only time you don't go is when you don't

get out of bed, you step out of that front door.

You are a missionary, small missionary, become a big missionary

by going on missions. Okay, so please attend next week's

conference and then sign up. Then the Bible says make disciples.

Did I know a lot? No. I was just sharing

with them what I saw when I was younger. Jesus

the name of Jesus. People were being here. I was

actually discipling them. I was telling them there is power

in the name of Jesus. Isn't that discipling? That is

not only is it witnessing, it is sharing with them.

The first person who came to the Lord that I

shared with you know how they came to the Lord.

We were going for a party. I've told you this

story is gonna read in black clouds, gonna storm like

nobody's business. And those days we need bicycles or you walk,

no car. This we're talking in the seventies, okay, late seventies.

So I told my friends, I've prayed in the name

of Jesus that every one of you who goes with me,

we will be dry. But the moment we stepped foot

into the house, everyone coming after will be soaked. Don't

ask me why I pray that. That's just the prayer. Okay,

we went to the house. The moment the last one stood,

and I'm not joking, stood in the house. The rain

came down and like buckets were being poort, you know,

not drops, you know. It was like just it was

and everyone who came, some of them were wearing raincoats

and no difference. They were soaked. Then my friends looked

at me, Yeah, what you prayed? I said, that is Jesus.

You want to know more about it? Follow me. I

took them to the church and they received the Lord.

That's all I dood. I did not share with them theology.

Oh you got to know that. You know, the lamb

of God, you know. And then the blood is like

the dopp pours, you know. Most I did not share

theology with them. I just sheared Jesus in the name

of Jesus. The theology came later, make disciples baptizing. Of course,

we know that you have to baptize them. What is baptism?

You are telling the world. I have decided to follow Jesus.

That's why it's important you are putting the world on notice.

I'm not the same. I'm now a child of God.

Be ready, Be you ready for the power that I

bring into the situation. Because of the name of Jesus.

You are not the same baptizing teaching them? What am

I doing now? I'm teaching. I'm teaching you. Hey, I

thought my friends I taught them about power in the

name of Jesus. I taught them about not fearing when

you had Jesus on your side. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. It's

also teaching theology and all that, but it's teaching what

you know. God never asked us to do what we

don't know. He asked us to do what we know.

Isn't that what witnessing is. Can you witness about something

you have not seen? Can you witness about something you've

not done? Yeah? What happened to you? Okay? So now

is there something more? Is there? This is what we

want to get at today. And I know that we

are doing well for time. You know. Actually I put

these messages, these testimonies throughout the message. But somehow the

Lord said share with this for so okay fine. After

being assembled together, he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem,

but to wait for the promise of the Father, which

he said, you have heard from me. For John truly

baptized with water, but you should be baptized with the

Holy Spirit, not many days from now. Do you know

that there's a mission statement and there is a method statement.

How many of you are engineers here? Any engineers here?

One engineer, two engineer three? Okay? Are you all building engineers?

Chemical engineers? Building? Okay? You got mission statement right in

your building before you get to the method statement. You

got mission statement right mission your company? What is the mission?

Mission is complete all buildings on time, under cost. There's

a mission, right, Craig alone? Yeah? Is that your mission statement?

Something like that? All builders are like that. I work

in a construction company beforese I know, okay, mission statement,

going into the world, preach the gospel, making disciples. Back

to missions statement. Do you know that no building can

happen without the method statement? Tru you say, oh, gonna

build a building? No, no, no, no, no no, and we're gonna

use paper. Will that method work? No? The method statement

will be we will use this kind of method, you

know they and we will have so many workers and

we'll there's a method. There's a method to getting something done.

We always stop at the mission statement. But you know

that Jesus didn't stop there. He gave a method statement.

What was the method statement? Don't depart out of Jerusalem,

but wait until I send you the Holy Spirit. And

then one hundred of twenty of them remained in Jerusalem

went to the upper room. They prayed, and they awaited,

and the Holy Spirit came on them and the world upside.

Do you realize that God has always given you the

resource to do which he has told you to do?

So you are afraid to go and share about Jesus.

Why he did not say you convert them? What did

he tell Peter Blessed? I use Simon Barjona for flesh

and blood is not revealings to you, but my father

who is in heaven, whose job is to do the

revelation of Jesus Christ. It's not our job. When you

realize it's not your job, but just do your job. Man,

don't do God's job. You do your job. God will

do his job. See, we think that we are the

ones who God to give them saved. So whose job

are we trying to do? And that's why we are

afraid to go and share with someone because we get rejected. Yeah,

they're rejecting you are Yeah. I want to tell you

Jesus is good, you know, Jesus is Lord. No I

do want to know this, Jesus, is he rejecting me? No, lie,

you reject my Lord in your own peril. I know

Jesus already I'm going to have it. You know it's

after you you get it. Life is simple. God did

not complete complicated for us. He said, go and wait,

and I'm going to give you power. Now. If they

didn't wait, would they get the power? No? But thank

God that they did. You and I we got to

realize our success comes with prayer. How many of us

are baptized by the Holy Spirit? The power is there?

Those of you who are not baptized in the Holy Spirit,

maybe you should pray you receive it, because there is

power in having the Holy Spirit work in our lives.

And then in xt one eight is but you shall

receive power. The Holy Spirit has come upon you, and

you shall be my witnesses to me in jo Rousale

lamb m hmm, and in all Judea and Samaria and

to the ends of the earth. Hey, guys, do you

realize that it started with the place around them. You'll

be witnesses in Jerusalem, then a little bit further out Judea,

then a little bit further out Samaria, and then I

need to be answered the earth. You have to start somewhere.

First person, I witness to his friend. Because I witness

to my brother, I get beating them by witness to

a friend. Then the friend becomes Christian and he witness

to that brother. Then my brother of mine becomes a

Christian who witnesses to my classmate. Then my classmate becomes

a Christian who witnesses to my younger brother who becomes

a Christian. You see how it works. Prophet is never

welcome in his own house. Somebody else got to do

the job. God is wise life, you know, power, The

Holy Spirit is there to help you. So you're afraid

to go admissions? Why your power? He is power? You

winnies think about you know? Who are you? WINNI think

about Jesus. They don't want to accept Christ. So what

how conviction belongs to? Who belongs to God? Twenty years

from now, Sydney, somebody will come up to you. You

know what that day you were there, I remember what

you said, and I became a Christian five years later.

Five years you remembered everything for five years? Yes, because

that is God lived. Do you begin to see how

simple it is when you don't have to save your face.

Things become very simple. When you save God's faith in

your heart. God's more interested in your faith in him

than he is in your face. Life becomes easy. Okay,

So why to every given task? There's a how to?

To every mission statement? There is a method statement? Okay,

God helps us and equips us to do that which

he has instructed us to do. You know, did God

give you an instruction and then don't tell you how

to do it? Never go and build a house. You

don't know whether you're supposed to use wood where you're

supposed to use metal, where you're supposed to use brick.

In Japan they use paper for walls. You know. You

don't know what kind of roof you're supposed to use,

use style or US singers or use a up. You

don't got to tell you bill a house? You don't know?

Know he gives instructions when he told her, when he

told Solomon, when he told David, you won't build a house,

but Solomon be the house. He just lets Solomon do

whatever you like. No, he gave instructions. Where's that bell? Okay?

So God helps us and equips us air Do you

know that God wants us to succeed more than you think.

and we feel we can't do the job. But God thinks, sir,

you can do much more than you will ever realize.

How do you know this? When he went to meet Gideon,

did he tell Gideon you cowardly man behind the threshing floor?

Did you say that? No? God sees you big. He

says you mighty man or wealth h You see you

and I we see ourselves in different life. We see

ourselves as deficient, as not being able. But God sees

you as being more than able because you can do

all things through who cries to strengthens you. It's never

been about you, man, even in your life, it's never

been about you. It's always been about yemn So how

does the Holy Spirit do this? But the helper, the

Holy Spirit, whom the Father will say it in my name,

he will teach you what somethings? No, I think some

things you know in our working life? You know you've

ever had that boss. Does he teach you everything? Or

he keeps some things for himself? Thank God, God is

not like the earthly boss who keeps certain things to

himself to make himself out of it. But the Bible

says that God teaches us all things. He brings to

remembrance somethings. No, you got it wrong. We live somethings.

We live a life of some things. Do we live

a life of all things? The Bible tells us that

he brings to remembrance all things. Why is it important

for us to read the Bible? You've got to get

it in there. If you don't get it in there,

the Holy Spirit cannot get it out here. You have

to get it in and you know what, when time

comes in I found it so many times I suddainly know.

I know that it's in the Bible. I can almost

remember the verse completely. But my problem is I cannot

tell you the actual you know verse. Yeah, I'm not

built that way. So what do I do. I go

to my phone, I type the worst thing, and then

I get the scripture. Ah, okay, I knew it's the

head the Holy Spirit brings to buy in ten minutes. Okay,

praise the Lord. We're doing fine. Did you get it?

Are you beginning to see how the Holy Spirit actually

can get things into your heart and mind? Let me

tell you and prove this to you. Okay? So he

remains to memories all things. Look at Peter the very same.

You know, the one thing you will love about Peter's

You know that Peter experience experience more things than the

other disciples. You know what he tried like of course

he failed more than the other disciples quite a bit.

But he's the only one who walked on water. Jesus

you never walked on water, but he walked on water.

not see any wires. It's all concealed in the metal

piping of the But you see, God gave the ideas.

I've never done it before, but I have the Holy

Spirit who doesn't only help me share the word of God,

he helps me walk on water. Bitter was walking looking

on water, sharing about Jesus. No, it was a personal jolly. Okay,

personal jolly, isn't it. God will help you, The Holy

Spirit will help you. I want you to know. Before

the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Peter only quoted two

scripture you read it. The first one was immediately after, okay,

just before the baptism the Holy Spirit. It was once before,

for it is written in the book of Psalms. Let

the dwelling place be desolate, and let no one live

in it. Talking about where Judas was being buried. Then

he said, let another take his office Psalms one or nine,

verse eight, two verses. He only did two verses, and

then they went to the upper room and they received

the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Immediately after the baptism

of the Holy Spirit, immediately he quoted ten verses, Acts

two seventeen to twenty one. You can read that twenty

five to twenty eight, and verse thirty four five hundred

percent more. We must talk a little bit. Mathematics like

this give you impact, not one percent, not twenty percent,

five hundred percent more. You know where did he get

all that? They learned? Scripture throughout their formative years. You know,

if you know anything about the Jewish culture, they would

have been taught scripture, but they never quoted it. But

the Holy Spirit caused them to remember and bring it. Now,

how many years had they been learning scripture? Nothing ever

came out. You read in all accounts of the Gospels,

where did the disciples ever callte scripture? None? After the

baptism of the Holy Spirit, where did they get all this?

It suddenly came out and I read you the scripture

how the Holy Spirit brings to memory. There's a big

difference when the Holy Spirit skid gets involved. In John

fourteen twenty six, it says, but the help of the

Holy Spirit, whom the Father would send in my name,

he will teach you all things and bring to your

remembrance all things that I said to you. Guys, It's

okay if you don't know a lot of things. It's

okay if you don't even understand understand the scripture you're reading,

but you have to read it. Then under the power

the Holy Spirit in you time, he will give you Revelation.

One of the least exciting books for me to read

in scripture. And I'm very honest with the Lord about

it is the Book of Revelation? You say, what, it's

a very exciting book. Half of it very hard to understand.

So that's why it's not exciting to me. But must

read it, you know, I must read it because at

an appointed time, like how God revealed to Peter to

suddenly bring out five hundred percent more scripture when the

time is ripe, that scripture is going to come out

from me in ways that I will understand. Now my

parting gift to all of you, how do you know

that Jesus is true? And when somebody asks you this question,

how do you know besides what you've experienced for yourself

that Jesus is true? Always remember this. All his disciples

had changed lives, all of them from cowering, cowardly men

to giants of faith and service. How many of us

would die for something that's a lie? Peter said, Church History.

I'm not worthy to be crucified the same way my

Lord was crucify me upside down. All his disciples were

willing to die for him, horrible deaths. Would you do

that for a lie? How many of us would even

do it for a truth? But something happened. Jesus happened.

Look at Stephen, not to Stephen. Ah, he is you know, predecessor. Behold,

I see the son of Man at the right hand

of God. He fell asleep, he died from being stolen

to death. What makes someone able to withstand that? It's

the truth of the Cross. And no one, no government,

no smart elect no so called creature from any sign,

can ever take that away from you. Nobody, because that

is the truth of the Gospel. And if you look

at yourselves you will realize one thing. You have changed too,

Maybe not a lot, but enough to see that a

difference has taken place. What does the Bible say, from

glory to glory? Well, just becoming just because we are Christian,

we go from zero to one hundred like that. No,

sometimes it may be a quarter percent improvement, half a

percent improvement, ten percent improvement. You know when we get

two hundred percent when we meet him face to face

after we have expired. So as long as we are

on this earth, we cannot be one hundred percent. The

one hundred percent is only a reserved for him. So

So he will provide us the help that we need.

You need to have breakfast, you need the fish, you

need the fire, you need the wood, you need the flame.

All that he provided provide us with the help we need.

asks you to be a biblical lawyer. Have all the facts?

You know. I tell people, I may not know the answer.

because nobody says I have all the answers, But I

do know this Jesus is real. Okay. We may not

know what to say. The Holy Spirit will help us

recall the word. The Holy Spirit is the one who's

going to give us the understanding. And you know what

we speak of, what we know, what we have experienced,

what we have seen, Jesus do every testimon that I

gave you just now is true. These are people currently

serving the Lord, and you can go on Facebook, you

can find them. We're there. So I'm just telling them

what I knew up to that point of time. Now

if we have a conversation or much more to tell them.

But now they can also tell me because they've been

studying the word as well, and they have their own

stories to tell, they have their own successes to speak

about what Jesus has done. It's not one way. In

the beginning, it was one way, but as time goes on,

our conversation gets better. So tell what you know. You're

not asked to go on missions to speak about theologies

that you have no understanding of. You're just asked to

speak about Jesus. And you know him. He loves you

good enough. And what the scripture say in John twelve

thirty two, it says, and if I have lifted up

from the earth, will draw all people's to myself? Who

is the one doing the drawing? Who is the one

doing the pulling to himself? Who is the one who

is finalizing the work? It's Jesus. It's not you, it's

not me. We were just called to do what lift

him up? Do you know that that's what witnesses, witnesses

to lift up in praise and worship Jesus. And if

I'm lifted up, that's what He's calling us to do,

lift him up. He will do the drawing, He will

do the drawing.
