  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your.

  3. Day light of the world. If you're writing noteste's my

  4. message title today, light of the world. Let's go into

  5. scripture John chapter eight, verse one to twelve. Okay, now,

  6. and I will sort of like bring it to a

  7. close at the end. The significance of that conversation I

  8. have with a young person, as well as the significance

  9. of this phrase and statement. I believe most of us here,

  10. if not all of us here, believe us. And we

  11. got to know who Jesus is, and we've got to

  12. know our role in this world. Okay, I'm just going

  13. to read John chapter eight, verse one to twelve. Okay,

  14. it says here, but Jesus went to the mount of Olives.

  15. Now early in the morning, he came again into the temple,

  16. and all the people came to him, and he sat

  17. down and taught them. Then the scribes and pharisees brought

  18. to him a woman caught in the doultery. And when

  19. they had sat her in the midst uh. Basically, this

  20. woman had been doing bad, bad things. Okay, I'm very

  21. aware at kids are here, so don't worry. I won't

  22. go to detail. But she she she was just doing

  23. bad stuff, okay, which is not good.

  24. Uh.

  25. And they said to him, teacher, this woman was caught

  26. in the doultery in the very act. Wow, I wonder

  27. how did they catch her in the very act? Yeah? Yeah,

  28. weird right? Don't you think weird right? That they can

  29. actually say we caught right handed? No, how you know that?

  30. You see, you, you don't catch somewe right hand unless

  31. you're waiting for them to do it. Sounds quite funny, rightkay?

  32. You guys not following me anyway? Now, Moses in the

  33. law commanded us that such should be stoned. But what

  34. do you say? So, okay, let's let's read further and

  35. then we'll we'll we'll break it down. Okay, this they say,

  36. testing him that they might have something of which to

  37. accuse him. But Jesus stooped down and rolled on the

  38. ground with his finger as though he did not hear. So,

  39. when they continue asking me, he raised himself up and

  40. said to them, he who is without saining among you,

  41. let him throw a stone at her first, And again

  42. he stooped down and rode on the ground. Then those

  43. who heard it being convicted by their conscience, went out

  44. one by one, beginning with the oldest, even to the last,

  45. and Jesus was left alone and the woman standing in

  46. the midst. When Jesus had raised himself up and saw

  47. no one but the woman, he said to her, a woman,

  48. where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?

  49. She said, no one, Lord, And Jesus said to her,

  50. neither do I condemn you? Go and say no more.

  51. And Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the

  52. light of the world. He who follows me shall not

  53. walk in darkness, but have the light of light. So

  54. my first point is Jesus. Okay, we always go back

  55. to him, right, Jesus the light of the world. And

  56. this is just a case study. Okay, let's do a

  57. bee of a case study. Um, because you have a

  58. few characters here you have and again, this history, it's

  59. not a storybook. We gotta learn to read the Bible

  60. as history book, not storyboo. You know, I know sometimes

  61. we approach the Bible like a storybook because some of

  62. the things we read can be so outlandish that we're like, oh,

  63. only a fairy tale, guys, is history it really happened.

  64. To us, it really happened. Now. I don't know what

  65. else you're hearing out there from other people, but to us,

  66. it really happened. Okay, So it is history. What did

  67. the scribes and Pharisees seek to do? Think about it?

  68. They are one of the people involved. So I give

  69. a bit of context. If you don't know who this

  70. Jesus is. So he was basically in church. I use

  71. this context, your understander. He was in church, and he

  72. was quite knowledgeable in the world. And imagine here, Let's say,

  73. let's find someone here, Grace. Okay, Grace, she's coming and

  74. she's sharing with people about the Bible, and he's very convincing,

  75. and imagine that. Let's say the leadership, I mean, we

  76. will never do so I'll just use an example. We're

  77. not so happy. Why everybody listens to Grace? Right? And

  78. then that's what happened. The scribes, you know, the religious leaders,

  79. they were not happy because Jesus was actually talking sense.

  80. You know, they were preaching the law. Hey guys, you

  81. must make sure you come nine o'clock. If not, now

  82. you're gonna go to hell. Okay, if anybody preached like that,

  83. to you here, an ex please talk to me because

  84. that's not true. Right, It's not about following law, rule

  85. of law. Right, we are already saved by grace. We

  86. adhere to the lifestyle because we are already saved, not the

  87. other way around. You know, in Bahasau we used to

  88. work the ballet. You got it backwards, right, So that's

  89. what happened. And of course you know, Jesus got more

  90. influenced traction because he's speaking sense, he's sweaking sense, he's

  91. bringing things that you know, imagine when you're reading something

  92. for so many years and you don't understand, you have

  93. someone that comes and explains to you and and gives

  94. you this answer that makes it go like wow, now

  95. I understand why, Now I understand what all this is.

  96. These things is happening. And not just that Jesus also

  97. performed miracles. How cool is that? Right? So, this, this

  98. guy that is not recognized as a religious leader not

  99. is really speaking sense in terms of the scripture, the

  100. word of God. Not just that he's also being used

  101. by God now to to heal people. Know. That's why

  102. they want to test him. Lah, That's why they want

  103. to test him because they're losing they're losing influence. Thinking

  104. about it, they are losing the influence because the people

  105. are listening to him, not them, right, that's and it's

  106. it's so interesting that they decide to drag a well,

  107. she's not really in a cellar, okay, drag a woman

  108. who they probably know already. They probably can suspect they

  109. probably know already. Wanna it's been happening for a while ready,

  110. you know, because it's not the Bible didn't say adult. Really,

  111. woman is the adult us? So and again they probably know, really,

  112. but this timer, we want to test Jesus. So we

  113. drag her her only you, no, no, even the whoever

  114. that's involved, drag her go to Jesus. And and and

  115. let me give you this picture. You know, when I

  116. read this right last time, when I was younger, i

  117. read this, I was reading it as like, oh, you know,

  118. because there's a word in the Bible that says, a woman,

  119. where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemn you?

  120. She said, no one, lord? Okay? Or not that the

  121. worse before says uh yeah, then those who heard it

  122. being convicted by the consciences, we're not one by one.

  123. Beginning with the older and Jesus, let's alone and the

  124. woman standing in the midst Okay, when I read that,

  125. I keep thinking that it's only Jesus and the woman. Actually, no, no,

  126. his disciples were there, the people that he was teaching

  127. were still there. Right, Actually have a video to show you,

  128. but I know I I don't know whether I'll show

  129. you or not, so probably not. Maybe I asked Pusses

  130. Steven too. It is a packed place. Now. Imagine we're

  131. all here, right, and that activity going on, and we're

  132. having conversations, and then suddenly got this commotion, right, a

  133. girl of people dragging this lady who's crying and going

  134. to passes and say passes and what what say you?

  135. We should all stone and drag her to jail? What

  136. say you? That's what the law says. What say you?

  137. They want to test Jesus, That's what they wanted to do, right.

  138. They sought to test him. You know why because they

  139. knew what he was gonna do. He's been preaching about forgiveness.

  140. He's been preaching about all these things, so they kind

  141. of know what he was gonna do. He's gonna forgive

  142. her and then he will lose his credibility because you know,

  143. how can you forgive they knew or they knew because

  144. they're not These pep are not dumb people know they're

  145. quite small or no, they are lawyers, you know. I'm sorry.

  146. If there's any lawyer, please don't don't don't. Yeah, no,

  147. But but they know how to catch him. That's why

  148. they put him in that situation. They wanted to catch

  149. him breaking the law. That's what they wanted to do.

  150. He's so compassionate, right, Hey, that's how they purposely say

  151. the law of Moses. Do you know how their entire

  152. belief system hangs on this law? No, their entire belief system.

  153. But this is the wonderful thing about Jesus. I love

  154. Jesus man because he didn't give them what they want.

  155. What did he do? He ignored them? Yo? Your agreed?

  156. That's culture same as weet right. Imagine everybody's you know,

  157. making noise and and and we're all like, you know,

  158. drag someone you know, and then like perssy even look

  159. this person done so horrible thing, and person look at

  160. it and we're always think for the answer, right, and

  161. and then what did Jesus do what he passes Steven?

  162. Do he just draw on the floor and totally not everyone.

  163. Don't you think that will have made them more angry?

  164. I'm trying to guard my language case here. What don't

  165. you think that we have made them much more angry? Right? Hey, hello,

  166. I want to catch you know. And then just then,

  167. now everyone else was watching. You know, there were spectators.

  168. Do you know that there were spectators? There were spectators.

  169. He was preaching in the synagogue, very packed one now,

  170. people doing a lot of things. The video creped I

  171. wanted to show you that I probably won't show I

  172. don't know whether you can see you mana yeah, anyway, okay,

  173. let's not wash this las okay, but okay, just just

  174. stay on this, don't don't kick anything. It was it

  175. was commotionious. I passed on my alum. It was like

  176. the night market. It was packed with people. There were romans.

  177. There were a lot of people that are watching this

  178. thing and seeing how he would say what he will say? Right,

  179. there was a situation, but Jesus ignored them. But then

  180. what did they do? They pressured him for an answer. Right,

  181. let's let's read. Okay, then they say this, testing him

  182. that they might have something of which to accuse him.

  183. See they knew what he will kind of say, but

  184. he stooped down and wrote on the ground with his

  185. finger as though he did not hear. Friends, can I

  186. share something you are some issues in your life are

  187. you don't have to answer straight away on? Some issues

  188. in your life are that you're being pressed to answer

  189. now now? Naw, you kind of don't have to answer

  190. immediately on. Sometimes it's just a moment the situation. Sometimes

  191. you need some time. You don't have to answer now

  192. passes now now no, no, chill, chill, don't have to

  193. answer immediately. Don't have to answer immediately. And they continue

  194. asking him, and then he raised himself up and said

  195. to them, wow, Mike, drop woman, he who is without

  196. saying among you let him throw a stone at her first?

  197. Do you know that he didn't answer kind of directly

  198. what they were asking, right, and then he continue writing

  199. on the floor. Of course, some scholars to say, oh,

  200. he's probably writing, yes, saying he's probably okay. I don't

  201. we really, we do not know what he run the floor.

  202. That's the reality. We do not know what Jesus actually

  203. wrote on the floor. But I don't think it's that complicated.

  204. I think he was just doodling for fun. If you

  205. ask me, I don't think it's that profound. That's just

  206. my thinking, you know. But that one line itself was

  207. good enough to go like, oh, it's like, yes, that's

  208. the law, but how do you apply it? Because talking

  209. about application, right, let the person that has the no

  210. scene first throw the first stone. You say, she's cinema.

  211. We're talking about sin. Right. He did it the Jesus way,

  212. you know, he answered them. He made a statement that

  213. caused them to reflect on themselves. We're powerfula and then

  214. they were convicted by their conscience, and they left, one

  215. by one, beginning with the oldest. Okay, let me let

  216. me I think I'm not sure. Yeah, the last time

  217. I came in and talked about wisdom, right, that's why

  218. I shared about wisdom. You know why the oldest left first?

  219. You'll know you'll know why the oldest leftters. I mean,

  220. they had the youngest to the oldest. There more, John,

  221. You need to come out to all the count this. Okay, okay, okay,

  222. let let me you know, our parents used to share

  223. with us, and nowadays I say that line line. Okay,

  224. not old enough to say that line? Okay, I eat

  225. more salt than you. Rice, Right, right, how man you

  226. do that? Huh? I eat most? Now You're like, huh,

  227. what do you mean I eat? Sorry? Rice? Okay, Basically,

  228. we have enough life experience, enough fly, enough flaw. Okay,

  229. I still think I don't know a lot of things.

  230. They have enough life experience to know that they are

  231. not all clean. I'm imagining a young person that joined

  232. these girl people and Goston. I want to go see

  233. how many of us are like that. Don't raise your hand,

  234. go stoning. I want to go see. I want to

  235. go see the stony. Oh my my, you know, my

  236. my elder uncle or going or going ready steady, you know.

  237. And then got young person, Hey, I want to I

  238. just want to take the stone. And I'm like ready, ready, ready, ready,

  239. you know, let's let's let's let's see what happens. You know,

  240. let's be uh the practitioners of justice. Let's do it.

  241. Come on. You know, when people are young, right, they're

  242. full of passion, but unfortunately, sometimes not much wisdom sometimes

  243. I say sometimes not all the time. Right, But those

  244. that are older, you cannot deny the years of experience

  245. you have, Corona. You cannot deny the mistics you've done,

  246. you cannot deny. But when people are young, right, you

  247. don't really think about things. Then you just chung, let's

  248. go for it, right, going through everything, experience everything, and

  249. then suffer later. Why the oldest first because they were wiser.

  250. Have you thought about your you know, not more sinilar

  251. everybody got a sin, more or less. Sin doesn't matter,

  252. it's the same, right. But the man gave a very

  253. good analogy yesterday about sin. He said he likes coffee, okay,

  254. and then he has a tumbler. He puts coffee inside, right,

  255. and there's a little bit of a recipe of coffee.

  256. And even if he feels the the tumbler with water, right,

  257. and he doesn't clean the coffee away, even a bit

  258. of coffee left and he feels water. Don't you think

  259. the water will taste like coffee? How can he get

  260. the coffee away only when he's washed clean? No sin,

  261. little bit seen, A lot of sin still got seen.

  262. Doesn't matter. But the older left first because they have

  263. more years of experience. They were like, okay, you caught us, Jesus.

  264. And then the younger one all we think, we think,

  265. we think, you see what the uncle will do huh

  266. no stoner, huh uh. Oh they're living means they got sins?

  267. Then what about me? Oh yeah, I light that day?

  268. Oh yeah, I did this that day. Then they also left.

  269. They were convicted by their conscience and left, one by one.

  270. John eight eleven says Jesus didn't condemn the woman, although

  271. he could. Do you know that the only person could

  272. have thrown the stone was Christ? He could have known

  273. only the only person that amount of stone the throne, sorry,

  274. thron the stone first was Jesus. But what did he say? Woman?

  275. Where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?

  276. She said? No one? Lord Jesus said to her, neither

  277. do I condemn you? Go and sin no more. Let

  278. me give you this perspective. He gave her a second

  279. chance and told her to sin no more. Let me

  280. give us this thought. Processor What do you think would

  281. have been the better thing for Jesus to do? Do

  282. you think that this way would make There's only two pasa.

  283. Either he condemned her and throw the stone follow the law,

  284. or he gave her a second chance because he could.

  285. He didn't sing no. Do you know that you could

  286. only give another person's second chance if you are qualified.

  287. Jesus is qualified to stone the lady, but he decided

  288. not to stone the lady. How powerful is that?

  289. Si?

  290. As we go by his seid ruin law and you're like, oh,

  291. let's wet. Parents you're here, let me give you this analogy.

  292. Sometimes our kids make mistakes, and of course we were punished.

  293. Lah right. And of course if they are young, then

  294. they won't understand that. Okay, right, I have two boys.

  295. I understand. But if the person has wronged us, and

  296. we give the person a second chance, and the person's

  297. aware about it, la, A person's not aware, la, okay aware?

  298. Do you think the person will repeat the mistake again?

  299. She almost died. He gave her a second chance, he

  300. said go and say no more. Don't you think there

  301. were more reason for her to really change transform? Do

  302. you think she will continue being a I mean, I

  303. don't know. I hope, I hope there was true repentance. Right? Why?

  304. Because we're human beings, we know people can reavert. Let

  305. me flip the table a little bit for those of

  306. us here who may have done mistakes before. How do

  307. we treat our second chances? Oh? Yeah, second chance? Get off,

  308. jeil free card. Let's continue singing. Oh thank you Lord,

  309. I almost die, Thank you Lord for not stoning. I

  310. deserved the stoning, but you didn't. I deserve it, but

  311. I didn't. Let me give you another perspective. Remember I said,

  312. all these things happening and everybody was watching. What a

  313. powerful message of second chances that Christ showed. He didn't speak,

  314. he showed to the people around here, what a powerful

  315. message of forgiveness. He could know. He was the only

  316. one that could have judged the lady thrown the stone

  317. because he had no sin. But he didn't. He didn't

  318. he was teaching her or straight away got message illustration

  319. on the spot. Don't you think the people watching were

  320. have been impacted? They would have been. It would have

  321. been a powerful teaching woman. Remember that Jesus was teaching

  322. and this happened in front of many people at the temple.

  323. At the temple, no how they should live. He showed

  324. them a different way to live. Lulu ru la rue

  325. la rue law grace, forgiveness. But only he can do it.

  326. That's why Jesus is the light. I painted a picture

  327. in front of you. Not do you know that I'm

  328. not the light? Yes, I'm a church reader. I'm not

  329. the liar. Nobody, even those in religious or it can

  330. be the light because only Christ is the light. Only

  331. Christ is the light. You're all fallen. And just to

  332. give you a picture of what happened. Of course, if

  333. you read further, you will see how he defends himself.

  334. And there were different things. And he only left the

  335. temple at John chapter eight, verse fifty nine when they

  336. wanted to store him. He only left the temple when

  337. they want to be So people are still there, things

  338. that stay happening. You know, guys can and cart you

  339. when you read the Bible. Please don't just read one line.

  340. Read the whole context of it. Try and imagine the situation.

  341. It would be in a very stressful situation for Jesus.

  342. Let me go and share a little bit further. Remember

  343. I said the religious leaders were concerned about the law.

  344. Right he is he going to fulfill the law or not?

  345. But then he showed another way forgiveness, repentance. I'm very

  346. sure the lady were repented. No more, Lord, no more,

  347. no more, no more. Such a lifestyle right, total life change,

  348. whish and we have been more powerful a person who

  349. has a life change that has a history and then

  350. now totally change totally new belief or a person who

  351. has passed away because gonna stored, which one will have

  352. been a more powerful thing? Think about it? Why do

  353. we believe in second chances? Why do we not straight?

  354. We're just going buntipe people. Sorry, let me translate whack people.

  355. Christ's ball witness to himself okay, in front of many people,

  356. and gave them an example of how to respond. He

  357. also made the claim that he is the light of

  358. the world, and those who follow him would not have

  359. darkness by light. Let me read the scripture to help

  360. us go a little bit deeper. It says in verse fourteen,

  361. Jesus answered and said to him, even if I bear

  362. witness of myself, my witness is true, for I know

  363. where I came from and where I'm going, But you

  364. do not know where I come from and where I'm going.

  365. You judge according to the flesh. I judge. I judge

  366. no one. And yet if I do judge, my judgment

  367. is true. And I'm not a lone rumor. I said.

  368. Only Jesus could have judged the lady, because he was

  369. clean though right. But I am the father who sent me.

  370. It is also written in your law that the testimony

  371. of two men is true. I am one who best

  372. witness of myself, and the father who sent me best

  373. witness of me. Let me just read further, because I

  374. think it says somewhere that he actually came to fulfill

  375. the law. No Jesus mentioned. You know, I come not

  376. to fight against the law. You use the law against me,

  377. But I didn't come to fight against the law. I

  378. come to fulfill it because only He can fulfill it. Right,

  379. only he can fulfill it, because he's blameless. None of

  380. us here can fulfill the law. Only he can fulfill it.

  381. Let me try and see if you can find that scripture.

  382. Never mind, you'll go there. And because only He can

  383. fulfill it. That's why everything starts with Christ. That's why

  384. he's the way of the tribunal life. That's why, friends,

  385. no matter what we do in this life, you will

  386. never be able to fulfill the law. You can be

  387. the most faithful, perfect church goer, but if Christ is

  388. not your life, you'll get that you cannot work your

  389. way to heaven right now. It has to be true Christ. No,

  390. that's the thing sometimes we forget, So don't get there

  391. be there careful when you start thinking that way. The

  392. commitment is to Christ. And this comes to my next point.

  393. So I hope I've established as that Christ is the like.

  394. He is the like, he is the line. But you

  395. know the interesting thing. Matthew five the teen sixteen, what

  396. does it say metthew five theteen sixteen. It says, God

  397. is it there? Hopefully listen my Matthew five the teen sixteen. Ah, okay, ken,

  398. thanks for that. Let's read Matthew five verse. Okay, Matthew

  399. five the teen sixteen. He says, here therefore I will

  400. speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see,

  401. and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

  402. And in them the prophecy are Isaiah is forfeit, which

  403. says hearing you will hear, and you not understand, and

  404. seeing you will see and not understand. Okay, you know what,

  405. I don't know what the the correct scripture? Oh okay, yes, okay, sorry, thanks.

  406. You are the sort of the earth. But if the

  407. salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It

  408. is then good for nothing but to be thrown out

  409. and trampled under foot by men. You are the light

  410. of the world. A city that is set on a

  411. hill can be here. It is Jesus. Now he first

  412. claimed that he's the light. Now now he's saying we

  413. are the light. We are sort in light. Okay. Next,

  414. Now do they light a lemon, put it under a

  415. basket but on lem's sad and gives it light to

  416. all who are in the house. Okay. Next, let your

  417. light so shine before men that they may see your

  418. good works and glory fire your father in heaven, that

  419. they may see your good works and glorify your Father

  420. in heaven. Friends, are you a hidden Christian? Or do

  421. you let your light shine to people? Because do you

  422. know that you have a light? Do you know that

  423. you have light in your life and that light is

  424. Christ and you have the light with you? Did you

  425. know why I have to ask this question? I know

  426. what I can't just every regard. Do you really know?

  427. How are you living? Are you still going through tough times?

  428. Are you calling upon Christ? Or is it just sleep service?

  429. Is it just sleep service? It's very very important for

  430. us to catch this. Know do we know the light

  431. or not? First we have to know the light that

  432. is Christ, and then we are the light. Let's go

  433. be a science study, okay for fun now okay, right,

  434. salt what salt? Salt is an agent of change? I

  435. think I have in my slice? Okay, right? And what

  436. does salt? Salt changes the atmosphere and the flavor. You know,

  437. you know I like to cook, right, and I'm learning

  438. a lot of things about cooking thanks to TikTok. Right.

  439. And I found out that you actually clean vegetables in

  440. salt water. Yeah, okay, those are yeah, you know I

  441. never knew, you know. And you wash with salt, you know,

  442. because it preserves and it disinfects. That's what salt does. Right,

  443. And the users of sort is amazing. It's just amazing.

  444. It's short, no, guys, it's just salt. Right now they

  445. have like dry eged stuff and then you know it

  446. preserves things, right, It is infect it cleans. That's what

  447. salt does. Right. What does light do? Light is so

  448. an agent of change? Right? It reflects colors? You know

  449. that light reveals things as ready there? Do you know that?

  450. Can I give you a like a truth that I

  451. believe in? Friends, Sin always likes darkness if you have

  452. any issue in your life that okay, not tep people.

  453. Let's keep quiet, Let's let's do what be very careful

  454. about why it has to be like that? Because things

  455. that are true can always be shown up to the light,

  456. can always be revealed. One. Things that have to be hidden.

  457. Now you got to start questioning it, ready, Why does

  458. it have to be heiden? Okay? I know there are

  459. some unique cases, but I'm generalizing it. When you have

  460. a relationship that you have to hide, you better question

  461. that relationship. When you did something in the office that

  462. you have to hide, you better ask yourself, why is

  463. it like that? Because most of the times, not all,

  464. most of the time, things that are true can be

  465. exposed one and he's okay. One and nobody is going

  466. to be like, oh, you know, but only things that

  467. are questionable one that we always have to hide. Right?

  468. Can I share with you something? I learned this from

  469. Pascena and I remember as a leader, he will share

  470. this when he posts something or when he writes something

  471. on email, private email or private. Now this is the

  472. thought process. If anybody finds my email and exposes it

  473. to the world, am I still going to be seen

  474. as someone who's blameless. Well, there's a high calling man.

  475. That's a high calling. Do you know? Can I share

  476. with you? I think that way when I write texts

  477. now for a few years. Heyday, I've been doing it

  478. that When someone takes my text and show it to everybody,

  479. are they're gonna look past it? Elvin? How can you

  480. be so? I don't know, heartless, regardless, nonsense or whatever. Okay,

  481. I know we've got kids here, so I'm trying to

  482. use strong words. I'm not high. You can take my

  483. phone and I have nothing to hide to my wife, No,

  484. I know now they stick to you see her. You

  485. don't show them your phone? You know that's that trend, right,

  486. girlfriend bought friend, don't show My wife can take my phone,

  487. she knows my password, she can do whatever. You have

  488. my phone, and I'm totally cool with it. You gotta

  489. have nothing to hide, you know why my wife not

  490. your because you might take my bank account number. And

  491. we had the light of the world. Light exposes things

  492. that already there. If we have things to have to hide?

  493. To ask God? Why our Lord? Why why is it

  494. like that? We were careful? Right? Think it makes things pretty?

  495. Or so? Do you know that's just wonderful? Light makes

  496. things pretty? Okay? I just rot here for fun. Photos

  497. it this is you're gonna figure it out. What does

  498. that mean? It creates energy, that's what like us. Amen

  499. Matthew five six. Let our light so shine before men.

  500. First question you're gonna ask yourself. Do you have the light?

  501. First or not? Is Jesus in your life? Yes? Or no?

  502. Because if He's in your life and you have the light,

  503. then you would be okay. Oh I'm still struggling. Yeah,

  504. it's fine to still struggle. But do you have the

  505. light or not? Do you know your sauce or not?

  506. Important question? The Christs come to negate the prophets. Did

  507. he come to you know? The Christ come to white

  508. things clean? You know? Oh, guys, I've come to show

  509. you a new way. So all the Lord that you

  510. be lived before this, no need, no need, you do friends,

  511. Matthew five seventeen twenty. Thanks Passu. Even earlier in my notes,

  512. let me read, okay, Matthew five seventeen twenty. What does

  513. it say? He says here? Do not think that I

  514. come to destroy the Law or the prophets. I did

  515. not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For surely I

  516. say to you, till heaven and Earth pass away, one

  517. job or titail will by no means pass from the

  518. law to always fulfilled. You know, God doesn't go back

  519. on his words. So the law is still there. The

  520. Ten Commonments is still there. Just because we receive Jesus

  521. in our lives doesn't mean that, oh, I got a

  522. free pass. Now I can do whatever I want and

  523. He's going to be okay, because all Christ is there. No,

  524. the lawy is stay around her, guys, the law is

  525. stay around her right. For whoever therefore breaks one of

  526. the least of these commandments and teaches men, so shall

  527. be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever

  528. does and teaches them, he shall be called great in

  529. the king of Heaven. You still have to teach the law,

  530. still have to tell people friends, you're still in a

  531. commit your life to Christ. You cannot treat Jesus like

  532. a GETU of jail free card. We still got to

  533. commit ourselves and try our best. Yes, there are struggles that,

  534. but we still have to because the law is still there.

  535. For I say to you, unless your righteousness exceeds the

  536. righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you're by no means

  537. enter the Kingdom of heaven. This is very clear because

  538. they tried their best to fulfill the law. But God

  539. knows what's in your hearts. Right, he didn't come. He

  540. came to fulfill it. And by true fulfillment, he came

  541. to show us a way to live. Very important. That's

  542. why we say have to follow. What would Jesus do?

  543. That's the question we ask ourselves every day. Yes, when

  544. I face a challenge and a problem, when I face

  545. a moral situation, when I change, face a challenge in

  546. my family, when I face people asking me for advice,

  547. first question, what would Jesus do? First? Stop process? What

  548. would the Bible say about this? Not what my mother? Okay,

  549. my mother taught me, Thank God she you know, my

  550. late mom. She knows the Bible. So something she said,

  551. I checked by. I'll kill a line. Oh what does

  552. that guru say? Oh? What does this person say about business?

  553. Do you know that the Bible teaches us a lot

  554. about a lot of things, business, relationship, a lot of things.

  555. Everything is here, But what are we listening to? What

  556. do we subscribe to? Right? It comes one full circle? No,

  557. Jesus being the light, it comes one full circle. Let

  558. me read some scripture I'm gonna d asson ready, Psalm

  559. twenty seven one says, the Lord is my light and

  560. my salvation. Whom shall I fear? That's why I say,

  561. Do you know who is in your life or not?

  562. Do you need to be afraid when you go to challenge?

  563. If you know that Christ is there? If you you

  564. don't need to. You don't need to. Christ is there

  565. with you. He's not just only here on Sunday when

  566. you come for service and Fiel goose bums when we

  567. are worshiping. No, when you go home after this, Christ

  568. is still with you. The Word of God is still

  569. with you. Are you tapping into it? Oh? No, I

  570. must have passa Stevens annoying thing that No, No, guys,

  571. these are the way men thinks. Scriptures very clear. Whom

  572. shall I fear? The Lord is a strength of my life?

  573. Who are you pulling strength from? Two individuals I share

  574. you earlier on. Two young people both know Christ. One

  575. going through darkness, one released all the light first. John

  576. one five times says this is the message. If we

  577. have heard from human declared to you that God is

  578. light and in him no darkness at all. This is

  579. why I say, if you need to hide things. If

  580. you need to high things in darkness, be very careful.

  581. Because God is light. In him, there's no darkness. If

  582. we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk

  583. in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

  584. Bible verry very directly. It's not me, bye, Bible say.

  585. But if we want in the light, as He is

  586. in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and

  587. the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.

  588. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,

  589. and the truth is not in us. If we confess

  590. our sins, he's faithful and just to forgive us our

  591. sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we

  592. say that we have not sin, we make him a liar,

  593. and his word is not in us. If we say

  594. that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the

  595. truth is not in us. If we confess our sins,

  596. he is faithful. Friends. If we confess our since he's faithful,

  597. come on and just to forgive us our sins and

  598. to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that

  599. we have not sin, we make him a liar, and

  600. his word is not in us Bible. Don't miss the

  601. Bible's words. John ninety five says Jesus answered, neither this

  602. man or his parents' sin, but that the works of

  603. God should be revealed in him. I must work the

  604. works of him who send me what it is day?

  605. The night is coming when no one can work. As

  606. long as I'm in the world, I am the light

  607. of the world. Friends, is life hard? Yes? Will you

  608. go through challenges in life? Yes, the Bible didn't promise

  609. you that you'll be allsmore sailing. But when you go

  610. through challenges, what is your response? Are you drawing from

  611. the light of the world or are you trying to

  612. cover up things? There is an answer. The Lord is

  613. with me. Whom shall I fear? Do I walk through

  614. the value of the shadow of death? I will fear

  615. no evil. For your rod and your staff they comfort me.

  616. What is the significance of rod? Some of you might

  617. know this ready. The rod of the shepherd is a journal.

  618. Every time they are able, or every time you know

  619. they're safe from certain things, they will mark on their road.

  620. So when they look at their rod, like Okay, I'm

  621. going to a challenge now, but I remember this is

  622. what happened is what happened. I overcome this. This is

  623. what happened. Just now as we're worshiping. You want to know.

  624. And I was thinking to myself. We got all young

  625. people serving here, right, got Passa, Steven, got Sharon, got Grace,

  626. got different ones here. And I have the privilege of

  627. knowing them personally. Let me tell you why they're so

  628. fervently serving because I see lives of testimony. You should

  629. talk to Passus Steven, what God did you know when

  630. he was still deciding should I plant not shol I

  631. coming full time and not? Oh? You know, you know

  632. men's metternal is okay? You know what, I go work

  633. out there and I go do He got a very

  634. powerful testimony about how God now white his dad's bankruptcy clean.

  635. Do you know how passes Steve was like, you know what,

  636. if I come full time, I'm gonna earn money to

  637. pay for this. God gave him the answer because God

  638. called him full time. I see so many testimonies, so

  639. many things. Testimony is not devoid of testings. You know,

  640. testimonies thing means you cannot testing. This is why you're faithful.

  641. Amen asks thetain for the sun for the Age says,

  642. for so the Lord commanded us, I've set you as

  643. light to the gentiles, that you should be salvation to

  644. the ends of the earth. For those of us here

  645. we know who Christ is. Praise God. We have an answer. Yeah,

  646. someone's still learning, still growing. Sometimes we need the encouragement

  647. of the homes, the church. We need the encouragement availa believers.

  648. That's fine. Think about people who have no such answer

  649. in their lives. That's worse. Right now, I'm sharying you,

  650. you know, I mean someone, Oh, I feel bad. You

  651. know it's okay. You know Jesus. Praise God. You know

  652. who to call upon after this? About your friends who

  653. don't know Jesus. How, that's why we have to be like.

  654. We have to be like to them. The scripture continues

  655. to say, Now, when the gentiles heard this, they were

  656. glad and glorified the word of the Lord. As many

  657. as had been appointed to eternal life. Believe John three,

  658. nineteen twenty one. This is my last scripture, and this

  659. is the condemnation that the light has come into the world,

  660. and men love darkness redder than light because their deeds

  661. were evil. So everyone practicing evil hates the light. And

  662. does not come to the light lest his deeds should

  663. be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to

  664. the light that his deeds may be clearly seen that

  665. they have been done in God. It doesn't matter what

  666. situation where you know the truth is the truth? Unfortunately?

  667. Is that that you know? I know I might be

  668. challenging some people's thought processes right now, but a lot

  669. of times we read the Bible blah as ab is

  670. beyond time, we come to a place where we oh,

  671. you know, this world is grey, and now you know what,

  672. I need some help. Of course I've got a little

  673. illustrated and sorry illustration to show us. Okay, maybe I

  674. just get some help. You know, we talked about darkness

  675. and light, right, okay, just for fun and just for fun. Parents,

  676. you've got kiss here, and if you're fare of the dark,

  677. just hold them close. Okay. I'm just gonna get the

  678. team to just help me switch off the light. Okay,

  679. So we talk about being the world being gray, right,

  680. you know the probably being grey is that there's no solution. Yeah,

  681. you came off like now, it's okay, I can still

  682. talk when I'm yeah, can I not thought? Ah? Wow? Sorry,

  683. let me off my ipatter. Oh you can still see me, right,

  684. you know? Do you know that? As believers? Why did

  685. God use Why did Jesus use the the analogy of light?

  686. Have you thought about it? Why did he use the

  687. analogy of light? Because the world is a dark place?

  688. Like now, how you see how dark is it? Passe being? Well,

  689. we've got a lot of divorces now happening. We've got

  690. a lot of different things happening. A lot of people

  691. confused with their identity. You know, families are broken, things

  692. are messed up. It's getting more more evil. Don't need

  693. to go far. Just look at Netflix. You will know

  694. the media and the influence and everything else. And and

  695. here we are trying to say, oh, you know, not

  696. everything is black and white. It's all gray one. You know,

  697. it's permissible. Be very careful when you have those thoughts.

  698. Because we were living in the dark world. But then

  699. Christ came. He came to be the light in this place.

  700. He came to bring light to this world. Friends, are

  701. need your help. You've got your phones with you, right,

  702. your phone's got touchlight, gotta can you switch on your

  703. touch light. Don't worry, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna

  704. perform because I cannot sing. I'm not gonna do a

  705. concept here? Can all of you do it? I know

  706. some of you are like, it is the only time

  707. the passard asks you on your phone, okay, can we

  708. do it? Can you help me light this space up?

  709. Those areas that are a bit dark? Can you help

  710. me light this space up? It's a beautiful picture and no, friends,

  711. do you realize how bright everything is right now? Just

  712. by your light? Do you know that if only one

  713. candle is lighted, it's red dark? But have you seen

  714. how we have lighted up this place if all of

  715. us on our light? Thanks so much for this analogy.

  716. Can you on the light place? This actually is my

  717. wedding candle. Yeah, we did the lighting candle ceremony thing,

  718. you know, And it's the biggest candle in the house.

  719. You know. I joke that it has brought me through

  720. many dark moments in my life, in our lives as

  721. husband and wife, because every time out there we look

  722. for this candela. It's the biggest candle. It's not easy

  723. to find. And then got color someone you know, you know,

  724. this morning I was looking for it and then my

  725. wife hidated it. Then like huh, you need it. I'm like, yeah,

  726. I need use it again. And I made a jokeler,

  727. you know my my I said that, and then my

  728. son was like, oh that then can he be the

  729. family island and not you pass it down to me?

  730. And I'm like, okay, sure if it survives that. You know,

  731. I don't know whether we call a picture or not

  732. about darkness, and like, I'm not sharing this scripture to

  733. make you feel bad now, because can I Guys, there's

  734. no condemnation in Christ. This is why he didn't condemn

  735. the lady, because there was something more important than just punishment.

  736. It was a changed life. How many people do you

  737. think this lady will have talked to to say, I

  738. met this guy and I was in my loss or

  739. lowers and I almost lost my life, but he came.

  740. He gave me second chance. This guy named Jesus. I

  741. think it's worth a shot to listen to him. Do

  742. you think she will go to all the perfect people

  743. and tell them about him? No, I think she will

  744. go to everybody who's in her situation. How many more

  745. people who are stuck in a dark situation would have

  746. seen the light and come to the light. That's why

  747. It's so important for us believers to firstly know who

  748. is the light in our lives. You gotta know because

  749. only Christ can help you out of the dark moment.

  750. Only Christ can. You got to call upon him. But

  751. after you come out, after you come out from the

  752. dark moment, you need to know that you have the

  753. light now and that you can shine light into people's lives.

  754. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  755. information on our church, please visit as church org. We

  758. I hit for you.
