  1. You're listening to a message to go from X Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. The topic for today is be at peace. Today. I'm

  4. going to share the same word in x neelai because

  5. his x Neli. Later we actually run it in bilingual

  6. Swangi in Onean Hawaii, so we will have the Mandarin

  7. word right. So those of you today who can read

  8. the Mandarin do enjoying the slightes as well. The contact

  9. is taken from the Book of Judges, chapter six, and

  10. the Book of Judges is the time when the nation

  11. of Israel do not have a king, do not have

  12. a king yet, And the Bible says in the Book

  13. of Judges that they all live their life in what

  14. is right in their eyes. Okay, it was a time

  15. when they were already entered into the Promised Land. But

  16. yet this new generation did not know God. Despite the

  17. commandments that was passed down to them, despite the great

  18. stories of how God has delivered them out of Egypt,

  19. the house of Bondage, to their promised land, they did

  20. not live alife that was honoring to God. They did

  21. not live a life that was pleasing to God. The

  22. Book of Judges basically is a time where God raised

  23. different individuals up to lead the nations, especially when the

  24. nation is being attacked by different enemies. God raised people

  25. like Deborah. God raised people like Gideon to deliver the

  26. nation of Israel out of every oppression. So in Judges

  27. chapter six, I'm going to give you a context. We're

  28. going to read in chapter six ver was one. Then

  29. the children of Israel did evil in the side of

  30. the Lord. So the Lord delivered them into the hand

  31. of Median for seven years was two, and the hand

  32. of Median prevailed against Israel because of the Median knights.

  33. The children of Israel made for themselves the dance, the

  34. caves and the strongholds which are in the mountain. The

  35. scripture is very clear that the children of Israel did

  36. evil in the side of the Lord. And what evil

  37. was this. They departed from the commandment of the Lord.

  38. They began to worship are the gods, which are obviously

  39. against their commandment. And the Lord delivered them into the

  40. hand of the media Mediannites. And we know that they

  41. stayed basically in quattas, in squats right in dance caves

  42. around the mountas. They don't really have a place of dwelling.

  43. I have a slight to talk about the overview, and

  44. they were greatly impoverished. You can read later on in

  45. verse three. So it was whenever Israel has sown Midia,

  46. nights would come up, also am kinds and the people

  47. of the eaves would come up against them. Then they

  48. would and came against them and destroy the produce of

  49. the earth as far as Gaza, and leave no sustenance

  50. for Israel, neither ship, nor aucs nor donkey. So whatever

  51. they have sown, whatever they have farmed in the land,

  52. it was all taken away by the enemy. So think

  53. about living in a life where there is great impourishment,

  54. great poverty. The harvest was destroyed, but praise God. In

  55. verse seven to eight, it says that they cry out

  56. to God because of this oppression. They tried cry out

  57. to God. God. Now man no mistakes that God is loved.

  58. The Bible says God loves us, God loves his people.

  59. And often undesired things happen in our life could also

  60. be stemmed from the fact that we ourselves we have

  61. departed from the Lord. And always remember that we're seeing

  62. there is a consequence. So the consequences of the seeing

  63. of the people back then led them to a place

  64. where they were oppressed, led them to a place where

  65. not only they were poor in spirit, but there was

  66. no progress in this nation. So when the people cry

  67. out to the Lord, the Lord answered, and the Lord

  68. sent an angel to speak to Gideon, and basically the

  69. Angel of the Lord told Gideon that you will deliver

  70. this nation out as one person. One person. Sometimes God

  71. doesn't need to use one hundred people to deliver. Sometimes

  72. he just need that one person to awail himself or

  73. herself to be used by God greatly. And a classic

  74. story here where we all know that Gideon doubted his

  75. calling in God because Gideon begin to give excuses like, Lord,

  76. I'm from the weakest tribe you know who am I.

  77. God loves to use people like this. God loves to

  78. use people who doubt themselves because the Lord will affirm you,

  79. the Lord will annoying you. The Lord will use you

  80. mightily for his glory. So after the affirmation, we know

  81. that in verses nineteen to twenty one, Gideon gave an

  82. offering and the Angel of the Lord sent fire to

  83. consume it. So after all this in worse trentyy true,

  84. I believe so correct. So we look at what's twenty two. Now,

  85. Gideon perceived that he was the Angel of the Lord.

  86. So Gideon said, alas, oh Lord God, I have seen

  87. the Angel of the Lord face to face. Then the

  88. Lord said to him, peace be with you. Do not fear,

  89. you shall not die. I resonate in my spirit that

  90. salvas this morning. We are facing a situation where it

  91. seems bleak, a future that you can't envision, a relationship

  92. that you feel is impossible to reconcile. And the Lord

  93. prophetic word for you this morning in your spirit, I

  94. believe is peace be with you. Do not fear you

  95. shall not A sense that very strongly for some of you.

  96. And let me say that again, peace be with you.

  97. Do not fear you shall not die. Because some of

  98. you you're feeling like the people back then. Everything that

  99. you do, it yielded no result. Everything that you build,

  100. someone else took it away from you. You felt a

  101. sense of oppression, you felt a sense of injustice, just

  102. felt a sense of betrayal. So it's like a picture

  103. back then, these people they actually worked hard, safe you

  104. were gripped by fear. Gideon was found thrashing at the

  105. floor away from other people. He was hidden basically because

  106. of fear of the enemy. But today the Lord wants

  107. you to come out of that fear, and he's saying

  108. to you, peace be with you. Do not fear, You

  109. shall not die. With God. There is no date end.

  110. Here's your cry. And you have been And if you

  111. have been far away from the Lord, come back to him, please,

  112. Because the children of israelle they came back to him.

  113. They cry out to the Lord, and the Lord send

  114. an angel to speak to Gideon, affirm him, to say

  115. that he will save this nation. Maybe today it is

  116. also a call for some of us to come back

  117. to the Lord. He loves you. He loves you verse

  118. twenty three, sorry, verse twenty four. So Gideon built an

  119. altar there to the Lord and called it the Lord

  120. is Peace. Many of you will be familiar with the

  121. term Jehovah shalom. That's where this scripture came about. The

  122. Lord is Peace. To this day, it is still an

  123. opera of the biders Abey's rights. First point for today,

  124. when there is no peace in our heart and our mind,

  125. and when there's no growth or success, we need to

  126. check where are we with the lot Instead of looking outwards,

  127. look inwards. Where are we with the Lot? Are we

  128. living alive honoring him? Or have we turned our hearts

  129. away from him? Have our hearts grown cold before the Lord?

  130. And when undesired situations happen in our life, our hearts

  131. grow colder and colder, harder and harder, more away from

  132. the Lot. If we want to say progress in our life,

  133. if we want to see change in our life, the

  134. first step is always to reflect on our walk with

  135. the Lord. And if at all we have been far away,

  136. if at all we have grown cold, it is to

  137. return to him. God is always there. God has never

  138. left you. God have never forsaken you. God have never

  139. left the people. It is the people who have left him.

  140. In a time of chaos, darkness, and doubting of even

  141. his own calling, Gideon proclaimed the Lord is peace. I

  142. find it amazing. He could have proclaimed that the Lord

  143. is our deliverer. He could have proclaimed that the Lord

  144. is strong and mighty. He could have just proclaimed that

  145. the Lord the Lord, he is Lord, he is almighty.

  146. But Gideon chose to proclaim the Lord is peace. To me,

  147. it speaks of He proclaimed a need that the Lord

  148. had met. There is a lot giving them peace, the

  149. Lord giving him peace. So the peace Gideon experience came

  150. from his confidence in God's protection and provision even when

  151. the task ahead of him seemed impossible. How can I,

  152. as a one person deliver the nation among the nations

  153. who are stronger than us? And it serves as a

  154. reminder that peace is not dependent on circumstances, but our

  155. peace is dependent on God's presence. So if you are

  156. looking for peace, I pray that we will find peace

  157. in the right place. The piece here speaks about wholeness, safety,

  158. and a restoration of order. And when it's chaos, it

  159. always speaks about disorder. But when the peace of God

  160. comes into that situation, when a piece of God comes

  161. into your life, he will bring about an order. So

  162. the key point today that I will leave you with

  163. is God is peace. The Lord is Peace. Jehoah shalom

  164. seek God sik is peace. Peace is not a state.

  165. Peace is not a feeling. The world will tell you

  166. need to do certain rituals before you can have peace,

  167. and that ritual may include a certain form of meditation.

  168. That ritual may include disconnect from your routine of life,

  169. go to somewhere where it's serene, it is quiet, and

  170. you begin to focus on your inner self so that

  171. you will have peace. The world is looking for peace

  172. in different methods, in different practices, but for us as Christian,

  173. it is clear. The Lord is peace, meaning peace can

  174. only be found in God. And if you're a Christian

  175. here you have been walking with the Lord and you're

  176. trying to find peace in different rituals practices. Today, I

  177. want to encourage you to just turn your heart fully

  178. to the Lord, because when I reflect on my life,

  179. sometimes me too fall into the temptation where I would

  180. try other things, and the Lord will always be you know,

  181. when all else feel you turn to the Lord. But

  182. today the Lord wants to flip it around. Let him

  183. be the first. If you want peace, turn to him.

  184. So path to peace the first step we need to know.

  185. The most important peace is peace with God through Jesus.

  186. You can have peace with man, but if you don't

  187. have peace to God, it will lead you to know peace.

  188. But if you have peace with God, even if you

  189. do not have peace with man, you will always have

  190. the peace of God, always always. Second Corinthians, chapter five,

  191. verses eighteen to nineteen, say now all things are of God,

  192. who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and

  193. as given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is that

  194. God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not

  195. imputing their trespassers to them, and has committed to us

  196. the word of reconciliation Romans five one to two. Therefore,

  197. having been justified by faith, we have peace with God

  198. through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have

  199. access by faith into disgrace in which we stand and

  200. rejoice in the in hope of the glory of God.

  201. We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  202. So as the Angel of the Lord drew near to

  203. Gideon spoke to Gideon, Jesus has also drawn near to us.

  204. Are we ready to respond to say he is our peace?

  205. Are we fully confident by saying that he is our peace?

  206. Peace can only be found in Jesus Isaiah nine, verse six.

  207. Foreignto us a child is born, unto us, a son

  208. is given. Very popular scripture for Christmas fat Christmas is

  209. coming December, so first right, wow, and the government will

  210. be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called

  211. wonderful counselor Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. If

  212. you want peace, you're looking for peace, you should go

  213. to the source of peace. John fourteen twenty seven. Jesus

  214. said to his disciples peace I live with you. My peace.

  215. I give to you. Not as the world gives. Do

  216. I give you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither

  217. let it be afraid. My peace I give to you,

  218. the Lord, says Jesus, this morning is giving you his peace.

  219. Would you open your heart and receive his peace for you?

  220. The Lord is asking us this morning to find peace

  221. in the right place. I thought about our life today.

  222. I thought about the situation where we live in today.

  223. I thought about the time of COVID and post COVID.

  224. I thought about the time where even as a nation,

  225. we'rein a span of five years, we had at least

  226. three prime ministers of all lost count But it spoke

  227. about political uncertainty. When things in the political realm is uncertain,

  228. investors have no confidence towards the nation, which then impacted

  229. our economy. UH. COVID also was a time where companies

  230. were restructuring, resizing. UH some took pay hit and the

  231. world that we've lived in today. Some have termed it

  232. as v uca. Probably you have heard it Wukha world.

  233. We basically stands for a world that is wallatoile. Even

  234. Joe politics. No one would have imagined that Russia would

  235. attack Ukraine last year, right, and we know different industry

  236. took a hit as well. You look at South China

  237. Sea today. China is testing the boundaries, pushing for South

  238. China Sea, making their claim so it's walletown. Anything can happen.

  239. The presidential election in US in November is thing to

  240. be watching out for because you know, I'm sure it

  241. will impact the world one way or another. You basically

  242. sends for uncertain. The world that we live in is

  243. uncertain as well. With the progress of Jenny I Generative AI,

  244. people asking would I lose my job my company replaced me?

  245. Where would where would AI bring us to wol we

  246. create more jobs, So it things seems a bit uncertain.

  247. Things are also getting more complex. Society today tends to

  248. be more complex than simple. You have day to day

  249. conversations with your colleagues, you have day today conversation with

  250. your friends, with your family members, and sometimes the topics

  251. tend to be either complex or the way to soft

  252. things seems to be complex, but actually it's simple. Press.

  253. We have complicated staff for ourselves, A basically sensu ambiguous.

  254. The world that we live in is ambiguous. Is no longer, Yeah,

  255. it's longer black and white. People tend to be gray,

  256. but actually it should be black and white. But people

  257. tend to be more ambiguous than ever. Right, So I

  258. think about these things. I reflect on all these things.

  259. Then I realize that all these things, if we are

  260. not careful, it may affect how we perceive life. It

  261. may effect how we perceive the future, and our perception

  262. often can determine how we feel. Insight the peace Insight.

  263. So many years ago, the Lord told me that regardless

  264. of who is in power in Malaysia, can you trust

  265. that God is still in control. I remember the election

  266. night where they couldn't even decide who will be prime minister,

  267. and they need to go and see the King. The

  268. king need to worrify each mpeace world. Remember those days, man,

  269. I was tuning into the news like every second I

  270. will refresh my newspatter, and I realized that there's no peace.

  271. And a lot says men may place their hope in

  272. horses and shareots things that they can see. But we

  273. the people of God, will place our trust in the Lord,

  274. our God. Even my company, we're going through a form

  275. of restructuring, potentially resizing. It's common with new leadership. New

  276. leaders will come in to ship, the ship to move

  277. in a direction where the leader wants to. It's common here, guys.

  278. It's common new leaders, new way of doing things, new

  279. strategies and such. That's how your company grow. That's how

  280. your company progressed. That's how your company should, you know,

  281. wit and move forward. But for small fries like me,

  282. usually we take the impact right. So these few weeks

  283. has also been very challenging for me because I don't

  284. even know whether I have a future in this company.

  285. The more I hear, the more disappointment I get, and

  286. a lot reminded me again, seek me because he is

  287. my piece? Is it? Some of us we find peace

  288. in a form of financial security. If we say that

  289. if I have X number or fixed deposit in my bank,

  290. if I have X number in my bank, then tonight

  291. I can sleep well. I have the peace that is

  292. only natural. Hey, we need money to go through our life,

  293. but money shouldn't be our only dependency. Because if you

  294. ask any rich people today, you ask them, can you

  295. really sleep well? I think some will tell you that

  296. I have a lot of money, but I can't sleep

  297. well because a lot of worry, a lot of anxiety.

  298. But when you place your security in the Lord, he

  299. becomes your peace. He becomes your peace. So for adults,

  300. young adults, here go earn all the money you want.

  301. Money is a very good servant. Money is also good

  302. for ministry, showing the missions and all right, go earn.

  303. God has given us a power to make wealth. But

  304. don't let money be your God. I always tell people

  305. cash is not king. Right. You remember a politician once

  306. say cash is king. Right during election time, the world

  307. will tell you cash is king. I'm here as a

  308. representative of the Church of the Kingdom of God, to

  309. tell you that Jesus Christ is king, the Prince of Peace,

  310. he is king, he is king. For a students, sometimes

  311. we find our peace in our academic achievement. If only

  312. I tain certain result, if only I get a scholarship

  313. I want, then I will have a form of peace,

  314. because then only I will get a good job. Then

  315. only with the degree it opened doors for me. It

  316. is God who will open the door for you. We

  317. must do our part to study, we must do our

  318. part to do well, but we must not idolize our achievement.

  319. The moment we think that the door is open because

  320. of our four point zero, the moment we think that

  321. I got this great, fantastic job because of my involvement

  322. in university, that is the path to destruction because it

  323. speaks about pride. So the Lord holds our future. Maybe

  324. there's some parents here who worry about our kids, and

  325. we tend to be anxious even about their future, and

  326. as a result, we have no peace in our hearts.

  327. I can understand any good parent would want the best

  328. for their children. But if you're a people of faith,

  329. if you say that God is your God, he's also

  330. the God of your family, and you've got to release

  331. that trust to God to chill out a path for

  332. your children, because what God wants and what God can

  333. give to your children is far more better than what

  334. we You know, sometimes spiritual parents or parents can give

  335. to our children. And I wrote this yesterday, serves we

  336. want to be in control because control, do you, represents certainty.

  337. Control to you represent a form of assurance or peace.

  338. I'm here very obediently to the Lord and very humbly

  339. to let you know, learn to let go of control.

  340. The only reason why you don't have peace this morning,

  341. the only reason why you can't even sleep well at night,

  342. because consistently you want to be in control. When I

  343. say let it go of control, I'm saying, let go

  344. of control and allow God to come in. You will

  345. have your peace when you do so. So before I

  346. leave four steps to consider Philippines four six to seven,

  347. Paul wrote this when he was in prison. He was

  348. a prisoner when he wrote this the church in Philippie.

  349. He said, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by

  350. prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving. Let your requests be made

  351. known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses

  352. all understanding. Will God your hearts and minds thrue Christ Jesus.

  353. You think about it, right, Paul being in prison. Usually,

  354. if we will do prison ministry, we will go to

  355. prison and comfort the prisoner to tell them God has

  356. a hope for you. God has a future. Don't worry.

  357. This one is the bullet, you know. This is the

  358. bullet basically means opposite. The prisoner is encouraging the people

  359. outside of prison. You think about it. If you're a prisoner,

  360. you should be the one having no peace at all.

  361. You should be the one be the most worried at all.

  362. And I really like this scripture because he started off

  363. with saying be anxious for nothing coming around post Paul prisoner.

  364. And this speaks to me that whenever there is an anxiety,

  365. it is always about the future. Why are you anxious?

  366. Usually it's about the future. You exam next week, the

  367. assignment that you are falling behind, the project that is

  368. not misting target, but you need to do a reporting

  369. next week. There's no solution to this problem is anxiety

  370. is always about the future, So be anxious for nothing.

  371. I will counter it by saying God holds my future.

  372. He holds my future. I will do my part, I'll

  373. prepare the report, I will do the assignment. But I

  374. will not let this bother me pertaining to my future,

  375. because God holds my future. Proverabs twelve twenty five saysnxiety

  376. in the heart of man causes depression, but a good

  377. word makes it glad. So people who are depressed can't

  378. see the future. That's why it's always a cycle of darkness.

  379. They would rather sleep, wake up sleep because my dad

  380. battled with depression and alcohol was his way out. So

  381. I lived with a depressed man. I knew exactly how

  382. not very well up kept why you can see a future.

  383. But the word of God will always make a heart

  384. glad if we were to live, if we were to

  385. keep it in our heart. So the end of two

  386. anxiety at the end of the day, it is the

  387. word of God. Because the Bible is good, It is

  388. full of good word. And when you read the Word

  389. of God, what it does is that it shift your

  390. focus from anxiety to his revelational word. All it takes

  391. is one word from God, one word from Jesus to

  392. come the sea. All it takes is that one word.

  393. Perhaps this morning, as you are looking for a word,

  394. I pray you receive the word that will come you

  395. down and give you that peace. Second prayer and supplication.

  396. This to me speaks only God can answer my prayer.

  397. You know, sometimes why we don't have peace because we

  398. have been running from people to people hoping that they

  399. will be able to help us. Praise God. Some people,

  400. when you reach out to them, they will really help you.

  401. These are good people and they will help you without expectation.

  402. In return. These are very very good people. But you

  403. a still need to be understanding that sometimes people can

  404. only help you to certain extent. They can help you

  405. with things that is outside, things of the heart. They

  406. can give you a wid and they can counsel you,

  407. but they can only do this much. Only God can

  408. answer your prayer. People can answer your prayer. They can

  409. help you, but you don't pray to them, do you.

  410. Only God can answer your prayer with thanksgiving to me.

  411. Gratitude opens the door to peace. If you have ten

  412. things that you can complain about of why you don't

  413. have peace, or ask that you also develop a list

  414. of ten things you can be grateful for. Living a

  415. life of gratitude opens the door to God's peace. It

  416. helps you to focus. It shifts your focus from worry

  417. in self, worrying of what you don't have. When you

  418. put on a posture of thanksgiving, you move from worry

  419. and you move to a position of worship. There are

  420. a lot of things you can be thankful for a lot,

  421. but sometimes we don't focus on these things enough. Second last,

  422. the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding. I don't

  423. know how to describe to you this except to say

  424. that you should be feeling worries. Is it grammarchally correct?

  425. I don't know, but you should be feeling worried, anxious concern,

  426. but you're not. Today. Whatever happens to my company happens.

  427. I should be worried, but I'm not. You have a

  428. big presentation coming up, you have a big interview coming up.

  429. You should be worried, but you're not. Why Because the

  430. peace of God, which surpasses oh understanding. You want to

  431. man a broken relationship, and you're going to meet an

  432. angry person, You're going to meet an angry relative. Probably

  433. you're going to meet an angry relative. I don't know.

  434. You should be worried, but you're not. Why the peace

  435. of God and no doubt told me before he and

  436. his colleague went into the boss room. Two of them

  437. lost the job because the company needed to restructure. Two

  438. of them came out of the room. His friend was

  439. looking at him. How come you're not worried?

  440. The peace of God, The peace of God.

  441. Next God, your hearts and minds, true Christ, Jesus. Our

  442. heart is a set of emotions. Whatever you're feeling. You're anxious,

  443. you're joyful, you're disappointed, you feel happy. It's your heart.

  444. And the Bible always call to God our heart because

  445. it is the well springs of life. You've gotta learn

  446. to get our heart the seed of emotions. Our mind

  447. is the seed of thoughts. Our mind is a very

  448. powerful thing. Because I don't know whether mind is an

  449. organ or not. Probably the scientist can let me know. Ah, right,

  450. mind is a very powerful thing. The Hollywood drama, the

  451. Bollywood drama, and the k drama often plays out here.

  452. The worst case scenario drama, the fight, freeze or flee

  453. drama is always here, very very powerful and if it

  454. affects the mind, it will go to the heart. So

  455. anything that is false that the mind is playing, we'll

  456. be able to generate and emotions to you which actually

  457. you are fearing the wrong thing. For example, say that

  458. tomorrow I go to exam, I should feel you haven't

  459. even started the exam. So powerful the mind is Jennet.

  460. Jesus should be seated in our heart and mind. He must,

  461. he must, all right, even if really like things go

  462. against you, even if things didn't work out in your favor,

  463. you must always have Jesus seated in your mind and

  464. in your heart. You must the moment he's not seated

  465. there the moment. That's a moment you will be robbed

  466. off your peace. Amen, So let me read it again. Ex.

  467. Extreme Comer Philippines, Chapter four, verse six to seven. Be

  468. anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication.

  469. Whatever situation you're in, you know you felt that your

  470. peace is being robbed from you. Pray, by prayer and

  471. supplication with thanksgiving. Let your requests be made known to

  472. God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding.

  473. Will God your heart and Mind's True Christ Jesus.
