You double minded, you know, triple minded, you know say

one thing, never do.

This is the exhortation.

It's not you don't just draw near to God, you know,

just because we draw near to God because there is

something that we are missing in our lives. And there's

something that's missing in our lives. It's only felled, only

can be filled by the love of Jesus. Amen. So

that's why we have to draw. Because if you do

not draw near to God, this is who we are.

Our hearts are not purified, our minds are twisted.

the parameter required for you to draw near to God?

If you are a proud person, and if something is

in your heart and you're saying, God, I'm coming to you.

Do you think God would come near to you if

your heart is filled with pride? I think again. Okay,

So God gives grace to humble. What is what says?

What comes after that? James fowardstand says, humble yourself in

the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up.

A lot of times we read scripture in its singularity

and we think that it means that you the God. Okay,

I just pray one time in the morning and God

will come to me. But past, how come I don't

experience my breakthrough. Maybe it's because you have not come

to the Lord with a humble heart. Maybe it's because

you come to the Lord with you being the center

of the attention, center of the focus. Maybe that's why

God has not drawn near to you. Maybe you have

not received your breakthrough because of that. Following me so far, okay,

so you can go to the next slide XTV. You

can see that James shut the fourth verse eight is

In order for James shefter four verse eight to be true.

In order for James shut the four verses eight to

be applicable in your lives. Humility is a very important

principle that you must catch friends. And humility in green

So it says in James chapter four, verse ten that

if you humble yourself in the side of the Lord,

he will lift you up. Amen. But lift us up

to where where does God lift us up to? All right,

let's do a little bit of exercise when you go

to the Old Testament right after the books that Solomon written,

and go to this book of Isaiah, all right, and

goes to chapter fifty seven, verse fifteen. Now I'm doing you, guys,

lift you up. That's something that I would love to hear. God.

I'm stuck in this world that is just not giving

you the glory. But you have placed me in such

a time as this that all I want to do

is to give my all to you God, And when

the day comes, you will lift me up. And this

doesn't just signify a lifting, a physical lifting. One day

all of us will experience that. I'm talking about the

lifting of your spirit in the dark days, the days

that there are no lights. When I went back home,

there's no light. The Lord will lift up your spirit

in the place in which he dwells. But first and

foremost he lifts up the people that has a contract

and tender and humble humility is very important in this

day and age. It's very very important. But yet sometimes

it gets mistaken for arrogance. It's very important to do this,

especially as believe us. Do not allow the ways of

this world to transform your mind, but you'll be transformed

by the renewing of your mind. Do not be confirmed

to what this world says and what this world thinks,

this world says. Nah, don't do that because you are

not being humble. I'm trying to teach you a principle.

Don't do this. It's important to do what the Lord

wants us to do. So today we're going to dive

into a little bit of what the Lord actually thinks

about the word humility.

Okay, what is humility? Once? Like before, it says lifting

us up to the high and holy place, God's dwelling place.

This is what we should all aspire to long after.

Amen. So what is humility? Friends? What is humility? Is humility?

Not having a spine lumbert spine. You know you do lah,

like you preach is humility. That is humility. Like after

continue to run this race with faith.

Do not think that you are doom for eternity, because

what I can tell you, friends, is you are not

doom for eternity. The opposite is true. You have an

eternal life that is in you. If you choose to

follow Jesus Christ as your personal lot and savior, an

eternal life is promised. That's what I know for sure?

has to happen in your heart before transformation can take place.

started working. Don't act like you as if you know

the whole world. Be humble, you little boy.

For God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Lord.

I'm coming near to you now. God will resist you

if your heart is not humble the verse James the forwards.

It will not work if your heart is not at

the right posture, the right place, the right beginnings. The

James four, verse eight won't work. Friends.

We have to read scripture in his totality and not

just in its singularity.

It says, as a condition a posture of loneliness, low degree,

low in spirit, humble. Definition of the words in its

of humility. How can you remain humble? How can you

Let's go in the first time very quickly James chapter

but gives grace so humble. It's the second time he's

being mentioned after Peter, And here we go verse seven,

verse seven.

Therefore, submit to God.

Therefore submit to God. You know another thing that I

resists the devil? And what does God says about people

that he resists the prideful ones? Same language, Friends, God

will resist the prideful ones as he has commanded us

to resist the evil one. So it is pride in

your heart. You're allowing the enemy to fester in your

heart like poison. Pride will do that to people. Pride

will take someone who is meant to be the first

person to be offered eliab and turn him into someone

that the Lord has said, this is not the one

that I've chosen.

But humility.

On the other hand, God will say he is a

man after my own heart. Humanity will do that, but

pride will take you the other way. First point there,

for some meant to God. You have to continue to

obey God. Now, I don't know how many times you

have heard this word obey in church. But I tell

you what obedience is the significance of the ministry of

Jesus because God sent his one and only son, because

his soul loved this world. But Jesus had to obey,

you know. And if Jesus does not obey, we will

not be here today. So if you're tired of hearing

of the term obedience, I'm going to preach it until

you are sick of it, because obedience is vital. Obedience

is vital, and over here it looks like it's one

of the ways and one of the only ways to

continue to stay humble. Because if you allow any ounce

of the element in your heart that does not revolve

around the obedience towards our Lord God Almighty, trust me

that humility will turn into pride. Next, like Philippins two

verse eight, and I says this, and we're talking about Jesus.

Post writing about Jesus in the time that he was

confined in prison and being found in appearance as a man.

He humbled himself and became.

Obedient.

Became obedient to what the point of death?

The point of death.

Now, of course, over here Jesus went through a physical death.

Right some of you here, including myself, has to be

obedient to the point of the death of the flesh.

Your flesh has to die of rhens because if your

flesh doesn't die, how you're gonna continue to obey? Because

there's two equal and opposite forces fighting against one another.

Follow the will of God. I know I don't want

to follow will of myself, but follow the will of God. No,

I'm going to follow will on myself. You have to

put to death the flesh imen and that's the key

for obedience. Therefore, God also highly exalted him and given

him the name.

Which is above every name.

God highly exalted Jesus because of his obedience. The same way,

how he will lift us up to a place in

which He dwells, in this high and holy place. If

you continue to be humble, can we see the relation

of what humility will do to our heart? Next slight
