Not My Plans, But God's Plans | Pr Alvin Keng

Okay, I'll start with this.

Twenty twenty five will be the year that I'm in

ex Church for twenty years.

That tells you how young I am. Right.

I joined ex Church when I was a young person,

and now I'm not very young. I have two kids,

one wife later they were joined for the second Execuate service,

and it is it has.

Been a very very good journey.

So here my heart that as I share some of

these things, I know what I'm talking about because I've

been walking with the church for twenty years. Right, I've

been working with the church for three years. We've had

a lot of ups, we had a lot of downs.

There were a lot of times where I felt I

want to quit. There are a lot of times where

I also felt I want to give up.

But I'm still here, you know.

And I think that's the one thing that I think

we need to give credit to the people that are

still here, the people that still believe, to the people

that still say, no matter what, no matter how hot

they it gets, I am still around and I'm not gonna,

you know, give up so easily.

You know. So one of.

The principles that I felt like, you know, I've been

one thing to well. I share this message in a

few of our church plants and in PGA as well.

But one of the principles that I really hold close

to in my heart that I've learned from this church

is this always give only your best good. And that

is a principle that I wouldn't say is unique to XS.

I think a lot of churches, you know, they'll say things,

I spray of excellence, all these other things, but I

think it acts we we have this race, always give

only a baske good, right, And today we're gonna unpack

a little bit about the why why always give only

your baskecoord because I learned this when I was young,

and of course when you're young, you know, and the

wonderful thing about you know, leading young people. You know,

I have the chance right now I'm leading u XPJA.

And through my twenty years in X I've gotten involved

in different h crop ministries.

You know.

My first age of ministry I got involved with as teens,

you know, because actually we started ex teens or before

that it was called the next a t me Doctor

and I we were just Remenie Singer already reminis the time, right,

and then from there God throw me to young adult. Well, friends,

I tell you, from teens to you, it's a whole

new ball game, man, whole new ball game.

I do this? I still remember I was trying to

you know, counsel one of my guys, and it took

me six months to convince him that first thing is

matter how old or how you are, it rings true.

And when I was a young man, when I was

a young man, when I was a young man, ex church, right,

you just believe on me and you just do right.

And sometimes that's good. No, that's why Christler, he said,

about believing God's word and just.

do it.

And they say, Jesus got so many commandments? Are got

is the most important? What is the most important thing

that I should do? What is the most important thing

that I should practice?

And that's the same question that they gave to Christ.

And Jesus answered him saying, the first of all the

commandments is hear o Israel the Lord, our God, the

As they asked Jesus, what's the greatest commandment. Now he's

probably waiting, you know, Is it one of the ten commandments?

Is he one of these? Is he one of that?

Is he honor your father and mother? That's the greatest right?

Is it?

You know?

Why? Submit your husband? What is it?

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,

with all your soul, with all your strength. And these

words which I command you today shall be in your heart.

You shall teach them diligently to your children, and you

shall talk of them when you sit in your house,

when you walk by the way, when you lie down,

and when you rise up. You shall bind them as

a sign on your hand. You shall be as frontlets

between your eyes. You shall write them on the door

posts of your house and on your gates. Friends, by

reading this scripture, you already know that God is not legalistic, whire.

But there's a commandment word you know why? Because if

God is legalistic, it will not be this commandment. It

will be the ten commandments. The ten commandments will be

buying on your neck. No, love the Lord your God

with all your heart. Quite, how does say?

It's quite? It's quite straightforward.

But at the same time you kind of got to

interpret it the way you are doing it in your

life career. Not there's no okay, step one now some

of us love steps stright, step one, step two, step

threat easy that I can then I know I can

go heaven. Actually there's three steps to go to heaven.

He believe, admit that you are sinner. Ah, be believe

that Jesus your rememory is right. Why we make it

so easy so we remember and see complete your life.

that the greatest commandment is to love God only one God,

we fulfilling that commandment? You know nowadays when I look

at scripture, right, do you know that you can fulfill

scripture in your life? And what you practice you can

fulfill scripture?

We wait for God to fulfill scripture. No, have we

taken ownership and say I will fulfill scripture. When we

love God, we are fulfilling scripture. When we hon our

father and mother, we are for feeling scripture.

Do you know that?

Why submit to your husband? Yes, said, I appreciate your

fulfilling scripture. Husband, love your wife. Don't forget ela you're

feeling scripture. But love like how? Love like the way

Jesus loved?

How did you just love?

He died for us, so husbands should be ready to

But it's never about the law. It's never about you

must reach perfection. It is always about the heart. Jesus

had a very good point. If you caught it, thank God,

I call it now. It starts with our heart. Do

you think people do bad things on the spot of

the moment? No, it starts with the heart. How do

you come to a place where you want to murder someone?

You get angry with the person first, man, then you

don't forgive the person, and then everything the person does

you cannot stand and then you continue not to forgive,

it becomes bitterness, and then after then you feel have

you ever spoken to someone who's super angry and they say,

I got angry in the first place. It starts with

the heart. The heart gets corrupted, and then the action comes.

It never starts with a law of us. See, if

a life of peace, not suffering. Not every time you

always been to save our souls. That has been God's

plan since day one. Whether it's our plan or not,

I don't know, but that has been his plan. To

save our souls, not to save clarify it, our status,

not to save our belongings, not to save our material wealth,

not to save our achievements, not to save the temporary

things on this earth. God's plan is not to save

all this. God's plan is to save our souls. Can

you catch that? That is the main goal. This is

why the last and greatest commandment of Jesus Christ is,

go and make disciples, because it was it was other things.

He would say, go and be a great businessmen, go

and be great. No, go ahead, make disciples, teaching them

to observe all things. Why because that saves our soul.

Let's keep the main thing the main thing. Friends, that

saves our soul. Again, am I saying that doing all

the stuff that we're doing is not right?

Please, sir, I'm not saying everybody, now quit your job

and become full time. No. No, if God calls you, you better

do it. By God there and call you. Please be

in the marketplace. You'll be a blessing to us. But

the main point is our soul, and the main point

is discipleship to Christ. And always have different roles. We

have all different roles. So let's not forsake that role.

Whatever the Lord has spoke to you, whatever, Lord. But

we got to remember to keep the main thing the

main thing, because whatever that we focus in can become

the main thing. Right, that's the danger of it. That's

how pride came. That's how we had the fall of heaven.

Because the right hand man of God, the worship leader,

thought that he was God.

We all know this.

is why we give God our best. Because when God

is at the center, we won't lose our souls because

he will like because we are not the center, but

we were the center will But when God it is

the center, very have to lose your soul. And God

is the center. Why because he will discipline you. Our

being renewed right now? You look at things differently already?

How many of you you look backer when you first

became a believer and after they become believer?

Have you grown much? Have you experienced God much? I

hope you have.

I hope you can say yes I have. I have.

I can share you passelving the many testimonies I have.

I hope you have. Because if it's just no lie,

just come chestening, just be Bible. Just okay, same thing

like homes and no, I think my life is the same.

Friends following were exciting or no, very exciting? Why tell

you super exciting? But we need faith. Without faith, it's impossible.

Please God, do you know that God is a gentleman?

I remember someone's said and he stuck to me. Oh

Who are we? Do you know?

It's not easy to work in faith. It's not easy

because it is a counterculture to what we are used

to because we are living in the natural, but God

operates in the supernatural. Once in a while we hear

testimony and we get excited and it's true because God

orchestrats things. I tell you, I've got so many testimonies

about how God orchestrat things something that I'll take I

don't know how many hours and days to do and

na go just ste finger five minute done.

Really, I'm like, what right, We've some have experienced things,

are there? Right? It's orchestration on God or Noah? Is coincidence? Wow?

Such a sad life that everything in your life is

a coincidence. Well, I believe that if I follow God

your work and there are times out where how I

think or so I'm like, wow, this, this, this story

of my life is too perfect her to be coincidence

to perfect definitely or someone working in the background. But

one who says, now, faith is the substance of things

hoped for the evidence of things not seen. For by it,

the elders obtain a good testimony by faith. We understand

that the words were framed by the word of God,

so that the things which are seen were not made

of things which are visible.

What did that line just say? You don't see it?

You have faith, then it will happen, especially if God

says it la right, right, there's nothing there.

There's nothing there.

And Hebrews eleven six says, but without faith it is
