  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. First to prayer, then to missions. That's the title of

  4. today's word. First to prayer, then to missions. You like

  5. the slides, Okay, Praise the Lord. I do too. You

  6. know it's so good when you learn something. This is

  7. slide Goal. It is not power Point because PowerPoint I

  8. got the same slides I've been using for the last

  9. fifteen years. So praise God. There's something new and it

  10. looks nice and color it matches right. Okay, Praise the Lord.

  11. I did not work that, but it so happened. Okay,

  12. let's get to it. Matthew twenty eight Versus nineteen and twenty.

  13. Go therefore, go therefore and make this of all the nations,

  14. baptizing them in the name of the Father and of

  15. the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to

  16. observe all things that I've commanded you. And lo, I

  17. am with you even to the end of the age.

  18. So go therefore, after everything that has happened, after all

  19. that you've seen, after all the heart ache, after all

  20. the blessing, Jesus says, go therefore, so your life and

  21. my life counts for something. Everything that you have gone

  22. through has a reason. Wow, the bad stuff, especially the

  23. bad stuff. The good stuff. Yeah, but you know why

  24. we don't concern it the good stuff because the world

  25. is out to get us, and quite often we experience

  26. more bad stuff than we do good. But if we

  27. experience a lot of good stuff more than we experience

  28. the bad stuff, praise the Lord. But if we don't,

  29. it's okay, it's normal, all right. So after all these things,

  30. Jesus is now saying, go therefore, Hey, why are you

  31. so frustrated? Why do you think you can't handle it?

  32. Because you feel go therefore? Uh, things work out well

  33. for you. Go therefore, and so that becomes a mission statement.

  34. So how many of us know that when we are

  35. building things? Building things? If you are in a construction industry,

  36. there is a mission statement. Your company usually has a

  37. mission statement. But do you know that for building and

  38. making things and progress seeing there's also something else which

  39. is very important. It's called the method statement. How many

  40. of you have heard there's such a thing as a

  41. method statement? Okay, at least one praise the Lord, because

  42. you cannot accomplish a mission without having the method you see,

  43. because the mission is the order, this is what you

  44. need to do. But just saying this is what you

  45. need to do doesn't mean it gets done. First, there

  46. is the what you gotta do, and very important is

  47. the how you're going to do it. Many of us

  48. stop with the what are we going to do? And

  49. then from there I don't know where to go. You

  50. know those days that there was no ways we had

  51. this book, this stick for kl thistic big book Singapore

  52. is a smaller book because Singapore very smaller. Singapore's book

  53. was smaller than this scales book very large. And you

  54. know what's the worst thing about that book? It will

  55. connect you from page one to page sixty, C ten,

  56. page sixty and you go to page sixty, then you

  57. look at A ten and then you see the word

  58. from C. Sixty. When you needed to find your way,

  59. you had to spend one hour studying the map, first

  60. flipping from one page to the other page and connecting

  61. the road, and very often that the roads did not connect.

  62. You don't believe me, how many of you have tried

  63. to find SS two stroke seventy two? Have you tried?

  64. You can find SS two stroke seventy seventy one, seventy three,

  65. seventy four, seventy five, seventy six, all on the left side.

  66. You know where's SS two stroke seventy two in SS nineteen?

  67. Do you think I'm joking? You go, you go and check.

  68. SS two strokes seventy two is in section nineteen? Is

  69. in SS nineteen. I know because I used the book

  70. trying to find it and I couldn't get there. Praise

  71. the Lord for ways because now at least and ways

  72. also not so great. Okay, Ways is okay if the

  73. road is traveling on the straight road. But very often

  74. ways will tell you to turn right, but actually it

  75. doesn't tell you the road right goes like this, when

  76. you've taken the wrong road, then ony your eyes, I'm

  77. the wrong way. Okay. So what it's got to do

  78. with a message absolutely nothing. Okay, does doing make us

  79. successful or not? Just because you do what you're told

  80. to do, does it make you successful? We have to

  81. consider very carefully what we do because doing doesn't necessarily

  82. make us successful. It just makes us do us. But

  83. it's okay because scriptures be a doer of the world.

  84. So you just do there some blessing. But whether you

  85. get that level of success is really questionable. But having

  86. said that, scripture says go. Therefore all right, and what

  87. does it tell us to do? Well? There are some

  88. tasks involved. Let's take note of the tasks. Firstly, scripture

  89. tells us to go. When scripture tells us to go,

  90. it does not tell us to stay. You gotta understand

  91. go means get up out of bed. A lot of

  92. people stay in their spiritual beds. They don't get up

  93. and go. Do you know, as long as you walk

  94. out of the house, you qualify. As long as you

  95. get up out of your bed and walk out of

  96. your house, uh, you qualify. You see, many of us

  97. think missions is uh, you know you have to go

  98. to a different place. Well, eventually, that's what you must

  99. aim for. But it has to have a starting point,

  100. and the starting point is get up and go. If

  101. you stay in God's blessing, it will not remain a

  102. blessing for too long, you say, because God's blessing is

  103. never stagnant. God's blessing is to take you from one

  104. glory to the next. Because when that blessing has seen

  105. its lifespan, you need a new blessing. If that was

  106. if that was not the case scripture was would not

  107. have st from glory to glory. You see, we need

  108. to be filled with the spirit. We need to move

  109. from one level to the next, so we need to go.

  110. The second thing that Scripture is telling us is to

  111. make disciples. Scripture says, make disciples. Can you make disciples

  112. even before somebody is saved? Praise the Lord? You say yes,

  113. because it's true. And I will share some testimonies where

  114. I made disciples long before they became bla. So you

  115. need to make disciple. What is making a disciple? Making

  116. a disciple is sharing the ways of Jesus and encouraging

  117. somebody else to follow those ways. How many of us

  118. like to follow the right thing? How many of us

  119. like to follow the wrong thing? Truth be told, it's

  120. fun to follow the wrong thing. How many of you

  121. used to love to eat vegetables all the time. That's

  122. the right thing, right. How many of us know that

  123. the worst tasting vegetables are ours best for our help? Unfortunately? Yeah,

  124. you know, have you heard the statement A spoonful of

  125. sugar makes the medicine go down? Trust me, I know

  126. exactly what that means. You know, I had this skin

  127. disease when I was young, you know, it was like

  128. an egzeamer. And then this somebody told me, Okay, I

  129. told my mom, you got to buy these three Manilla ducks. No,

  130. these two Manilla ducks. Manilla ducks are ducks that are big, okay.

  131. And then you divide it into three portions, and then

  132. I'll give you all the herbs. Then what you're supposed

  133. to do is, every day, for three days, take one

  134. third of the duck, put one third of the herbs

  135. into this big pot and boil it. You start boiling

  136. in the morning, and by evening it will be ready.

  137. You know, one big pot, this big down to half

  138. a cup by evening. Oh my goodness, the medicine was

  139. worse than the sickness. It was horrible. I cried. I

  140. was ten years old. I cried and cried and cried.

  141. My mom had to bribe me. That's how bad it was.

  142. Making disciples, what has that got to do? Well, sometimes

  143. you don't have all the facts in line. But what

  144. you do do is you do what God tells you

  145. to do. Make disciples. Next, baptizing, we just heard testimony

  146. about baptizing. I was baptized in the temple part River

  147. Templess part not exactly the cleanest place, but I live

  148. there's a sanctifying, you know, anointing. As we went down

  149. into that water and came up. I don't know how

  150. many people were up at the top, you know what

  151. I mean. But now you get baptizing pools, right, how

  152. many of you will go to Templess path to get baptized?

  153. Baptizing And the next thing is teaching them? Teaching is

  154. something that is you know, do you know that we

  155. are all teachers, but you know that teachers are very

  156. special calling. Every time you are helping someone, what are

  157. you doing? You're teaching them to get better? So stop

  158. fighting it. Scripture has already told us that we are

  159. to do this, we are to do Oh I'm not

  160. a teacher, then you're not a human being because you

  161. know that as long as you walk, somebody is learning

  162. from you. The thing is are they learning good things?

  163. Or are they learning bad things? So, whether you and

  164. I realize it, we are teaching. So is there something more? Oh?

  165. This is very good? Thank you so much. You're following

  166. following me? Okay? So is there something more? Is there

  167. something more than the mission statement? There is? And you know,

  168. the lovely thing about Jesus is he doesn't lead us

  169. and leave us. When I say, you know, have you

  170. heard the song? He didn't bring us this far to

  171. drown us. There's a song you know. He doesn't lead

  172. us into the water and then after let us drown,

  173. ask Peter. Peter will tell you Lord, if that's you

  174. can I walkwn. You know. The one thing you can

  175. say about Peter is because he was impulsive. He did

  176. many things that nobody else ever did. If you need

  177. to be impulsive, be impowers, say on the side of

  178. listening to Jesus, because then you will experience much more

  179. than the paralysis of analysis. Have you heard that one?

  180. You analyze and analyze all the other apostles are so

  181. busy analyzing you cannot walk on water us. So they

  182. didn't know. But Peter was okay, here I go, and

  183. he walked. But don't be like Peter who turns his

  184. eyes away, because then you get into trouble. Okay, there

  185. is something else that Jesus told the disciples besides the

  186. mission statement. Do you know that Jesus also gave them

  187. a method statement? Are you aware? Look at the first

  188. chapter of the Book of Acts, reading from verse four

  189. and five. After a after being assembled together with them,

  190. he that's Jesus, commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem,

  191. but to wait for the promise of the Father, which

  192. he said, you have heard from me. For John truly

  193. baptized with water. But you shall be baptized with the

  194. Holy Spirit not many days from now. And then it

  195. says in verse eight. But you shall receive power when

  196. the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall

  197. be witnesses to me in Jerusalem and in all Judea

  198. and Samaria and to the ends of the I want

  199. you to know that unless we have the method statement,

  200. the mission statement will not have its full impact. When

  201. I first became a believer and I started sharing the

  202. Word of God to others, I only knew so much more.

  203. People came to the Lord quicklyar with this little bit

  204. that I knew, than with now all the many years

  205. of studying, because scripture says go I went. After I

  206. got saved, three months later, I was baptized in Holy Spirit,

  207. and then after that I had to go to Singapore

  208. to study. It was kind of scary because you know,

  209. you're alone, right, that's the God partner. So sometimes when

  210. you go there's nobody around you those days. No internet,

  211. Well you find it hard to believe. There was a timer.

  212. No internet, Yes, no internet, no social media, no social media.

  213. When you went you were alone. Maybe a phone call

  214. which is very expensive, or a letter which you would

  215. write and receive every one month, two months, three months,

  216. if ever you wrote. But unlike today, you run into problem.

  217. What's it? Hell, I need somebody help. But those days

  218. it wasn't it was. It wasn't like that. So I

  219. went to Singapore. I didn't know very much, but I

  220. did know this. I didn't know my Jesus, so I

  221. shared with people. I told them about Jesus. I told

  222. my friends about Jesus. I stayed in a church hostel

  223. by the way, a very holy yeah. I stayed in

  224. a church hostel every night. This is after school. My

  225. school was about one and a half hour's bus ride,

  226. so I stayed in Jurome. But my school was in

  227. Pye Labor area. But he road think one and a

  228. half hours. So I go to school in the morning.

  229. I reached that at seven. I'm in school until seven.

  230. Because I took part in every activity known to mankind.

  231. I was a school tennis coach. You know, I left

  232. at seven, reached back my hostel at eight thirty, have land,

  233. have lunch, at dinner, you know, wash my clothes, do

  234. my studying until about midnight. Then midnight I go back

  235. to church. You know why because we used to pray

  236. for deliverance crases. So I will be praying with the

  237. pastor from twelve to maybe about three four o'clock, get

  238. another two three hours sleep, go back to school the

  239. next day. And I was doing this every day. So

  240. every day when I went back to school, I was

  241. telling my friends about how the power of the Lord

  242. had saved people, and how people were being delivered and

  243. how people were being healed. I used to tell him

  244. this every day, and you know, they get so free,

  245. which is very good because with fear they begin to

  246. Then I can tell him, hey, fear the Lord. It's

  247. more important to fear the Lord. And then I share

  248. with them. There was one particular case where this guy,

  249. he was charmed by three priests. So when he was

  250. being delivered, the three priests came to the gate of

  251. the church, and the three priests a moment they stepped

  252. foot to try and come in the church. All three

  253. of them fainted the ground they got up and they

  254. read this. I saw her, they got up and he

  255. ran away, and of course, needless to say, the person

  256. was delivered. So I used to tell this to my

  257. friends every day. I had no idea that this was

  258. going to have any impact on them at all. See

  259. you and I, we don't know whether we're going to

  260. have an impact on people when we share the word

  261. of God with them. We think, I, you know, just

  262. tell the word of God. That's the end of the story.

  263. But do you know that wherever you go, whoever you meet,

  264. whatever you say to someone has value. If you want

  265. to know, if you've got to believe it so that

  266. when you speak it, you know your speaking life. Many

  267. years later, this is thirty years later, I connect with

  268. one friend on the internet and then he tells me Terrence,

  269. guess what what? He says, I'm a pastor. Ah, you're

  270. a pastor? How did this happen? Then he told me

  271. you are to blame. Huh, I'm to blame? What do

  272. you mean? He says? I was alone on my yacht.

  273. By the way, he was a very rich guy when

  274. we were in Singapore. He was the only eighteen year

  275. old that owned his own car. It was a Nissan Bluebird.

  276. So he was really rich, okay, really really rich. He

  277. had his own yacht. How many do you know what

  278. a yacht is. It's not a boat. A yacht is

  279. like a house on the sea. So he was on

  280. his yacht and he said, something happened and I was

  281. about to die, and I remembered something you wrote in

  282. my autograph book. Do you know what it is? I said,

  283. are you kidding? It's been thirty years. Do you think

  284. I can remember what I wrote in your autograph book?

  285. He says, this is what you wrote. If ever you

  286. run into trouble, called on the name of Jesus and

  287. he will come and help you. At that moment, when

  288. I was about to die, I called on the name

  289. of Jesus, and he came on the water and he

  290. helped me. When I got back to show, I gave

  291. everything up, and I decided to follow him and become

  292. his servant. So today he passed us and he's given

  293. up all those riches is not important to him. I

  294. only found this out thirty years later. I had no

  295. idea that simple word was going to have an impact.

  296. But you see, I was teaching them about the Lord

  297. every day there's another friend, this guy I lived. This guy,

  298. his father and mother found me such a great influence because,

  299. let me tell you, when I was in why I

  300. was also late going back every day because every day

  301. I would teach my friends. I call all of them.

  302. You don't know, come come, come, let me teach you.

  303. I will help you. I will, you know, do what

  304. I can to make lively. So I used to teach

  305. them every day. And this this guy's parents thought I

  306. would be a good influence on their son. So they said,

  307. why didn't you come and live with us? So my

  308. final year I stayed with them. And you know, I

  309. tried to help this friend of mine. Do not do this. Okay,

  310. what I'm about to tell you, this is just me.

  311. He came up to me one day he said, Terrence,

  312. I'm going to fail. So I said, what happens if

  313. you fail? So if I fail, I'll have to go

  314. into National service and then I can only study again

  315. two and a half years later. I don't know if

  316. I can do that. So I said then no, no, no,

  317. so sorry, I got it the other way from me.

  318. He said, I can pass. I can just pass, but

  319. that's it. And then two and a half years later

  320. before I can move. That's so I just told him,

  321. then fail. I said, you're allowed to reaseit. He says, yes,

  322. I'm allowed one year. Singapore is a strange placer. You

  323. have eleven years of education. You can fail every year.

  324. You can start in Standard one and fail every year

  325. for eleven years, but you will not go up unless

  326. you pass. So there was one guy in Standard six

  327. who had failed five years. How old was he He

  328. was from five years from five, you know, in terms

  329. of age, but he's still incented six every year. Don't pass,

  330. then the final year they will tell you please leave.

  331. So I was under alall of stress because I had

  332. started very late. I could, I couldn't. They did not

  333. allow me to fail. If I fail, I'm out. My

  334. friend was allowed one time to reason, so he actually failed,

  335. but then he studied hard. He did better. He went,

  336. He became an officer in the navy, and later on

  337. he became a millionaire. Now this guy, I realized and

  338. just connected with him a few years ago. He's in Bangkok.

  339. He was a very selfish guy when I knew him.

  340. But when I went to Bangkok, he says, Terrence, I'm

  341. now a Christian. This is you know what I do?

  342. Is it When I build my factory, I buy a

  343. plot of land by the side of it. Then I

  344. put up a church and I gave it to my pastor.

  345. When I went to meet with him, he had put

  346. up fortunes and he had just finished school. He just said,

  347. you know, Terence, I was so sad. I wanted enough

  348. money to buy the land, but I had no money

  349. to put up the school. But then I got an idea.

  350. So I went around talking to my friends and one

  351. friend said, now mine, I'll pay for the whole school.

  352. So put up the whole school, gave it to the pastor.

  353. When I went to meet him for the first time

  354. after twenty five years, there were seven students. Last year

  355. there were twenty students. Then he told me, Terrence, I

  356. bought a product land up north Bangkok in Thailand. I'm

  357. putting up another church. So he showed me pictures he

  358. put up the church. When he showed me the pictures,

  359. three one years later, he's got twenty people. And these

  360. are the guys that every day I was sharing with

  361. them about what God was doing. And he told me

  362. that I had one more friend who who another well

  363. to do guy he was a high performing alcoholic. His

  364. own words, his own words, high performing alcoholic. What does

  365. that mean? It means he get up at nine in

  366. the morning taking whiskey. You take coffee, eatake whiskey, but

  367. his business booming, goes running after running. You take cook,

  368. he takes whiskey. He didn't feel so good when he went.

  369. He found out he had cancer of the os vegas. Uh.

  370. He was already stage three when they found it on

  371. stage four, and this particular operation, only twenty people survived.

  372. Twenty percent survive because they have to operate from the back.

  373. Too many vital organs in the front. They have to

  374. cut him open from the back to get to that cancer.

  375. When they cut him open in the back and they

  376. got to the cancer, they found that cancer had spread.

  377. So he had to operate all through his arms to

  378. remove the cancer. He was dying on the table. When

  379. he was dying on the table, he heard gospel music

  380. and then the Lord appeared to him and say, Haha,

  381. your time not yet. I'll go work for you. That operation,

  382. which should have killed him, because he did at one

  383. point of time code.

  384. But.

  385. He came out of it in two weeks. He walked

  386. out of the hospital he called his subordinate. He says,

  387. the business. Now I give it to you. You run

  388. the business. I got other things to do. So now

  389. he is a missionary throughout Southeast Asia. Do you realize

  390. the impact you have on people? And we are worried

  391. to go out on missions? Why is it we are worried?

  392. Do we feel we are inadequate? Yes we are, Praise

  393. the Lord. It is much better to be inadequate than

  394. to think you're adequate. It's much better to be able

  395. to say, you know, God, I can't do it, but

  396. guess what lot Because I cannot do it, you can.

  397. So it's already if I fail, but with you I

  398. can succeed. You know when I share the word, this

  399. is what I pray. Every time you think eloquence makes

  400. a difference, it does not. Eloquence will tickle the hearts

  401. for five seconds in moments you walk out, It has

  402. no impact on your life. But when you realize that

  403. because you can't, God can. The Holy Spirit is the

  404. one who do it. There is a mission statement. There

  405. is a method statement that follows the mission statement. To

  406. every given task, there is a how to how do

  407. you do it? Hey? Well, in my case it was

  408. just do it, not before Nike the time, No, Nike,

  409. just do it. What did I know? I only knew

  410. what I saw, and every day I would share it.

  411. I would tell somebody about that. The very first people

  412. that came to the Lord were because one week after

  413. I got saved, I told him. They were walking together

  414. with me, and I said, do you know this, Jesus

  415. loves me. You don't have to worry. It was dark,

  416. sky gonna pour any I said, don't worry, you're with me.

  417. I have prayed we will get that dry. But every

  418. person that goes to the destination and reaches the destination

  419. after we set foot through the front door, will be

  420. soaking wet. It thundered it. The sky was black like this.

  421. Do you know not one drop? We were dry. The

  422. moment the last person in my team stepped through the

  423. front door, it poured, and everyone that came in after

  424. me was thoroughly And these two young guys who saw

  425. me and said, hey, it's true what you prayed. I said,

  426. that's who God is, and he will answer our press.

  427. I want to know more about this God. One of

  428. them is a pastor today another one these two teamed

  429. up and they shared with a friend of mine. No,

  430. he shared with my brother. My brother couldn't stand me, Okay,

  431. couldn't stand me, so he fought with me a lot.

  432. I couldn't get through to him. But these two guys

  433. got through my brother. My brother became a Christian. And

  434. then these two guys shared with my good friend. He

  435. became a Christian today is a pastor. That guy shared

  436. my younger brother. My brother came to the Lord and

  437. now he's a pastor. So from that, just that incident,

  438. three past us, six people got safe. You know, my

  439. first audio job one not one of my first audio jobs.

  440. I used to ride the motorbike to the place he

  441. was in Quota Damansara. No no, no, no, well somewhere there,

  442. not Quota Damansara, but it was Damansara, some place like that.

  443. I know, someplace like that. Anyway, every time and again,

  444. thank God for the rainer. Every time I reached the amry.

  445. The moment I stepped through the front door, it paused.

  446. So there was this audit assistant, the girl, she said,

  447. you always missed the read. I said, because I believe

  448. in Jesus, And I say, I tell you what It's

  449. going to rain all day but at the time I'm

  450. about to leave, blue skies will appear. And it happened

  451. every then, she says, Can I know this Jesus? She

  452. also came to the Lord to every given task. There

  453. is how to God helps us and equips us to

  454. do that which he has instructed us to do. You see,

  455. is it me? Do I have some power to stop

  456. the r I have no power at all except believing

  457. that Jesus will do for us what we ask of

  458. him in faith. So you're worried about going on missions?

  459. Why are you worried? You don't know how to do?

  460. Praise the Lord. That's the best position to be in.

  461. I don't know how to do. So God, can you

  462. help me to do my pleasure? He says, always his pleasure.

  463. You know a lot of people who know how to

  464. do things get very little done because they don't need God.

  465. So if you know how to do things, then you

  466. don't need God. There are many, many people who ever

  467. come to so much in their lives. But I'm not safe.

  468. They don't know Jesus because they are self sufficient or

  469. your self sufficient. There is one thing you'll never be

  470. able to do. You'll never be able to save yourself

  471. that only God can do, only Jesus can do? Do

  472. you know that God wants us to succeed? So you

  473. do not know how to go out for missions? You

  474. don't know what to do. It's all right because God

  475. can do it through you. I mean, did I know

  476. what I was doing was missions? I have absolutely no idea?

  477. Do you know? Missions also is going to help people

  478. who need help? Not necessarily what you think you know

  479. how to do, but what they want you to do.

  480. We ran in a mission strip to the X number

  481. of years ago. Do you know what we were told

  482. to do? We were told to help sell secondhand clothes

  483. to raise funds for the school. That was missions? What

  484. head of the church going to sell closer? Hey, look,

  485. do you think God is looking at me and saying

  486. this is Elder Terrence. God does not look at our titles.

  487. He looks at our heart. So if we can submit

  488. and do that simple thing which we were requested to do,

  489. God looks at it and it's pleased. Do you know

  490. that there were some people in our party who were

  491. not pleased because they started saying, oh is this missions?

  492. In the missions? I've gone before? I pray for the sick.

  493. I pray for this. I pray for the dead. Ay

  494. ay ay aye aye aye aye. There's no place in God.

  495. But if you have to go and pray for someone,

  496. pray for them, they will be healed. If you have

  497. to go and share with somebody, go and share with them,

  498. they will receive your word. But if you have to

  499. go and sweep the church, then sweep the church, because

  500. more people will come to the Lord seeing you sweep

  501. the church than for all the words you can say.

  502. Do you know I saw I saw you sweeping the

  503. church just now because there was some marks. You know

  504. what I thought, a man after God's own her? Do

  505. you realize this is what Elder mabeled in myself? If

  506. you and I'm not singing songs about what we do,

  507. but I'm just telling you what we believe. Cannot bend,

  508. the knees are so stiff, get down, cannot get up.

  509. But if you remember dvcsre if we see something on

  510. the carpet, struggle, struggle, struggle, we will go down and

  511. we will pick it up. Because you know what God looks,

  512. and he likes neatness. So if you can like neatness,

  513. because God likes neatness, and God sees you struggle, struggle,

  514. he will give your strength, your niece strength now to

  515. bend down someone to help pick up other rubbish. He's okay,

  516. So is he going to make a difference now? No,

  517. But I do know that one day I'll meet someone

  518. in heaven that says, you know, I came to the

  519. Lord because I saw you bend down to pick a

  520. piece of death. Because at that point of time, I

  521. was thinking to myself, who would even care? But when

  522. I saw you care, something spoke Jesus to my heart.

  523. That's what we are failing to understand. But each and

  524. remember I said, you're teaching. Whether you see, whether you don't.

  525. God wants us to succeed. Do you know that God

  526. thinks big. He believes you I we can do it.

  527. That's why he says go. Therefore, then he says, hey,

  528. you're not alone. It was not Michael Jackson was saying.

  529. It's all first, because the Bible was saying that. Jesus said,

  530. I will never leave you nor forsake. You are not alone.

  531. Go to Jerusalem and wait, I'm going to give you power.

  532. I'm going to and I'll prove it. By the end

  533. of this you'll see that This was quite amazing. Okay,

  534. So how does the Holy Spirit do this? How does

  535. the Holy Spirit give us power? In John fourteen twenty

  536. six fourteen verse twenty six, this says, but the helper,

  537. the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,

  538. he will teach you some things. Are you sure? Because

  539. there are lots of people say I don't know a lot.

  540. I only know some things. So does the Holy Spirit

  541. teach you a little bit? What does scripture say? Teach

  542. you all things and bring to remembrance some things. Most

  543. of the word we forget, right? Do you know that

  544. when you are called upon to recollect the Word of

  545. God at the time when you need it, the Holy

  546. Spirit will bring it to mine. Scripture says, now I

  547. read it like how it should be read. Okay.

  548. But the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will

  549. send in mine he will teach you all things and

  550. bring to remembrance your remembrance all things that I said

  551. to you.

  552. Jesus. Are you when you read the scripture? You must

  553. know Jesus doesn't speak like we speak. No, He's very

  554. godly the way he speaks. So I don't know what

  555. that is to you. But when I imagine. This is

  556. how I imagine. It's a nice, soothing, deep strong voice.

  557. You listen. Also, if you're good, I know that. Okay,

  558. the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,

  559. he is going to be the one to help you.

  560. You know. Praise God for the Holy Spirit. How many

  561. of you are not baptized in the Holy Spirit. That

  562. means you don't speak in tongues. If you're not, come

  563. and speak to your leaders and ask them to pray

  564. for you so that you can receive this power which

  565. God promised us. I want you to know. Scripture says

  566. that God will bring to remembrance. Right, Let's look at Peter.

  567. How many of you during the Gospel times ever heard

  568. Peter called scripture? Think about it, Oh thou the Christ

  569. has sudden living Got that was not scripture? What was that?

  570. That was God inspired? It's scripture for us today. But

  571. at that point of time he was not quoting scripture.

  572. Right.

  573. How many times before the baptism of the Holy Spirit

  574. did Peter quote scripture? This is what I mean that

  575. when I say I prepare the word, God opens my

  576. understanding and it really gets excited, at least for me.

  577. I don't voute you. The answer is twice two scripture

  578. two verses once before the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

  579. For it is written, this is he saying. In he

  580. was actually quoting. If you look at Acts chapter one,

  581. Peter was quoting Psalm sixty nine, verse twenty five says,

  582. for it is written in the us Psalms, let his

  583. dwelling place be desolate, and let no one live in it. Okay.

  584. And the second scripture he quoted was from Psalms one

  585. to nine was eight let another take his office. You

  586. can actually find this in x chapter one. Okay.

  587. So now.

  588. They went to the upper room, because after the mission,

  589. there's the method. What was the method? Go to the

  590. upper room and wait? You think they just wait? I

  591. look at you, you look at me. One hundred or

  592. twenty of them just looking at each other. Is that

  593. what happened? They're praying, God, you told us to do this.

  594. We're waiting. We're still waiting. We believe what you say.

  595. We believe what you say. We believe what you say.

  596. After Theism of the Holy Spirit, Peter quoted ten scripture

  597. where did he ever learn this? In Cts. Two seventeen

  598. to twenty one X two twenty five to twenty eight

  599. and x thirty four. Peter is quoting scripture. You must

  600. understand that all of them learned the Word of God

  601. as they were growing up, because that is the culture.

  602. The culture is they were taught the Word of God.

  603. But if he knew it so well, why is it

  604. he never ever quoted it in the gospels. But after

  605. the baptism of the Holy Spirit Peter started to talk scripture,

  606. and then after that he started to explain the scripture.

  607. You see, there is a big difference five hundred percent

  608. more after the baptism of the Holy Spirit, five hundred

  609. percent more two verses before the baptism, ten verses after

  610. immediately after. Now, for some of you that means not

  611. cause your heart to jump. For me, that's really interesting

  612. because it is telling me there is a great and

  613. huge difference without the baptism of the Holy Spirit and

  614. after the baptism of the Holy Spirit. One of the

  615. greatest powers that the Holy Spirit brings upon you, Number

  616. one is the ability to quote scripture. So do you

  617. know why it is important to read your word? Because

  618. you got to get it in your head. You've got

  619. to read it, because only when you read it he

  620. can call it to memory. So I cannot quote. I'm

  621. very bad at quoting scripture versus. Okay, but do you know,

  622. I know which scripture is there, but I cannot tell. Oh,

  623. it's you know Acts two versus. You know this, But

  624. I know the scripture exists. So I actually have to

  625. refer to something to help me find the scripture. I

  626. know the scripture is there for me. That's that's the

  627. way it works for me. But praise the Lord. If

  628. you can memorize scripture. I have that difficulty. But there's

  629. a big difference when the Holy Spirit gets involved five

  630. hundred percent more. But the help of the Holy Spirit,

  631. whom the fart you know what said in my name,

  632. he will teach you all things and bring to your

  633. rememberence all things that I said to you. So now

  634. not only will scripture talk about well, he's talking to

  635. them because they only had the Old Testament. Then he's saying,

  636. and the Holy Spirit will help them remember what Jesus

  637. has said. Now we have the Old Testament, we have

  638. the New Testament. So the Holy Spirit will help us

  639. remember everything everything. When you're in trouble, don't call Mother

  640. Mary because she's not going to speak no words of wisdom.

  641. It is only the Holy Spirit. It's a bad joke.

  642. Those of you may some of you may not know

  643. the song. Okay, it's from the Beatles. You don't know

  644. the Beatles. It's about okay, So how do you know

  645. Jesus is true? And this is where I think we

  646. must remember. Jesus is the only one who has changed

  647. lives so completely that people were willing to die for him.

  648. The disciples before they knew Jesus were cowardly men. Peter

  649. denied Jesus three times. When Jesus was taken away, none

  650. of his disciples showed up. None of his disciples showed up,

  651. none of his family showed You know how alone Jesus was.

  652. His brothers and his sisters did not go to plead

  653. for his life. There's no scripture to say they came

  654. before Pilot and say, please don't kill my brother. There's

  655. no scripture that which says Mary came and pled for

  656. the life of the sun. Nobody. He was totally alone.

  657. But do you know that after the baptism of the

  658. Holy Spirit. Look at what Peter he quotes the scripture

  659. that he says that same Jesus who was such a

  660. good man. You killed, you did bad things to him,

  661. and it cut their heart? And what did they say?

  662. What should we do? Repect that day? Five thousand came

  663. to the Lord. You know, whenever in this world has

  664. got a nasty way of trying to make it seem

  665. like your Jesus and my Jesus is irrelevant. You know that.

  666. Look at the Olympics. Now, I'm not one that bothers

  667. too much with paintings and statues and stuff like that,

  668. because we don't believe in that. But you see, what

  669. they did at the Olympics was a symbolic act of

  670. ridiculing Jesus. They tried to make Jesus small. You know

  671. why because France is a country that does not like

  672. anyone to have a faith in anything other than its government.

  673. So in a way, it's quite socialistic and communistic in

  674. its beliefs. So it is trying to tear Christianity down,

  675. at least that's what I believe. But the fact that

  676. the matter is that they can never make Jesus irrelevant.

  677. They cannot make Jesus irrelevant because when people come to

  678. know the Lord, when they get baptized in the Holy

  679. Spirit and endued with that power from on high, you

  680. cannot scare him, just like you couldn't scare Peter. After that,

  681. what if Peter say, I'm not worthy to die the

  682. same way my Lord has died, So you want to

  683. crucify me, do it upside down? For then I see

  684. the world right side up. History tells us these were

  685. the words of Peter, even as he was crucified upside

  686. down he and his wife because he refused to die

  687. the same way Jesus died. He did not want to

  688. ridicut jesus death. This was a man who denied the Lord.

  689. But now standing up and say you killed him. It's

  690. you you shouted for his death. Repent very bold. It

  691. wasn't only Peter, it was the other apostles as well.

  692. What made the difference? You see, unless the understanding and

  693. belief is true, you will never submit to it. If

  694. Jesus was not true, the apostles would never have given

  695. their life. Why did they look at Paul man? Paul

  696. was killing the Christians. In the end, he says, you

  697. want to take my head, go have it, but you

  698. cannot have my heart, my soul because it's to the Lord.

  699. So you have my head. So what and he gave

  700. his life for Jesus. Look at the change lives of

  701. the disciples from cowering, cowardly men to giants of faith

  702. and service. So what has all this got to do

  703. with missions? Let's sum it up. Okay, all these things

  704. that I've said, what is he going to do with missions? Hey, guys,

  705. we start first knowing Jesus. Right, how many of us

  706. here believe us? Okay, almost all the hands went up.

  707. We start first knowing Jesus. You like the slight fish,

  708. nice fisher. After we know Jesus, we listen to his

  709. command to go. Get up out of bed man. Every

  710. place that is not your home is a goal going

  711. into all the world. You know, when we go to missions,

  712. we go to other nations, we go to different places.

  713. Why do we call it mission because it was part

  714. of the Great Commission, the mission statement. So you go

  715. and after we listen to his command to go, always

  716. know that he provided us with the help we need.

  717. So you don't know how to do it? Praised You know,

  718. whenever you don't know something in the Lord, Praise the Lord.

  719. It's the time you're going to find out. You ask

  720. God to help you. There is no way you will

  721. not learn. Yeah. Now, we may not know what to say.

  722. We may not know what to say. I can tell you.

  723. The other day, I met a man, first time I'm

  724. meeting him, and I prayed before I went to see him.

  725. These were my first words to him. You are a

  726. person of knowledge and authority. You have worked in the

  727. highest capacities of organization, and you don't like people to

  728. tell you stories. So I'm not gonna waste time with you.

  729. I'm going to tell you what the Lord put in

  730. my heart, and the Lord put in my heart. This

  731. you must forgive. First time I'm meeting him, these were

  732. my first words to him. You must forgive, I say,

  733. because I'm also older. I got no time to waste,

  734. so we understand one another. He appreciated that, you know,

  735. because really, I got no time to waste. I come

  736. to tell you something that will help you. I did

  737. not come to listen to what you have to say,

  738. because I did not come to get help from you.

  739. I came to help you. So I shared with him,

  740. and he agreed. So a door is open for us

  741. to work. There was another man that I met and

  742. I said, did the doctor did the doctors tell you

  743. you're going to die because everybody doesn't talk about it.

  744. So I told him, well, the doctors did say you're

  745. going to pass away soon. Let me tell you. Jesus

  746. wants you. Do you want him? And you know he

  747. had said some things, so I said, Lord, he said,

  748. he wants to see you before he goes. So what

  749. do I tell him? Said Badminton? Huh Badminton? Say yeah, Badminton?

  750. Thought for it. Well, then I understood. So I went

  751. to see him and say, hey, you like badminton. Yeah,

  752. I like badminton. Okay, Jesus always served the shuttle to you.

  753. He's waiting for you to hit it back to him.

  754. If you don't hit it back to him, he's got

  755. no way to respond to you. Game over. Now, I

  756. ask you, do you want to receive Jesus christis Lord

  757. and Savior that is serving the shuttle back to him.

  758. He said yes, he accepted the Lord. Recently he passed away.

  759. He went to be with the Lord. This is God.

  760. This is what he tells you to do. The Holy Spirit.

  761. We'll give you the words to say that. He helps

  762. you recall the word. I mean, you know, the word

  763. is truth. Jesus loves you, man. He wants you with

  764. him in heaven. For God to love the world that

  765. he gave his only book concern, and whosoever believes in him.

  766. She's not perish, but ever lasting life. Do you want life?

  767. You know you can be straight with them. We speak

  768. of what we know, I experience and what we have

  769. seen Jesus do. There was another man dying of cancer,

  770. and so many people had witnessed to him. He did

  771. not want to receive the Lord. So I just told

  772. him as if my sister had cancer. Just before she

  773. passed away. She said, Terence, I do not know what

  774. else to do. I said, You've done everything you need

  775. to do because despite your pain, despite everything you're going through,

  776. you have not denied Jesus name, and you still have

  777. Jesus name on your lips. And when you go and

  778. see him, he's going to receive you into his kingdom.

  779. And my sister was comforted. Then I looked at this

  780. man and I said, this same Jesus that received my

  781. sister into his loving care wants to receive you. Will

  782. you give your life to Jesus? He said, yes, this

  783. is what I tell people. Now, you got people who

  784. need to be saved, and you're having difficulty with them.

  785. I don't mind coming to help because I will just

  786. tell it like it is. I got no more face

  787. to lose. After sixty years, I've lost so much. Your

  788. face now skin and actually doesn't look like skin and

  789. bones but really bones. Now call the face gone. It's okay.

  790. It's okay to lose face. God never asks us to

  791. keep our face. He ask us to keep up faith,

  792. not to keep our face, you know. So you just

  793. need to tell what you've seen Jesus do in your life,

  794. that's all. He's not asking you to create something that

  795. has not been created before unless he has asked you.

  796. But he's just asking you to wit about him. So

  797. when you go for missions, why are you afraid? God

  798. saved you? Right? You only need to tell that to somebody.

  799. He saved me. You got nothing else to save. That's

  800. all you got. That's all you need. Do you know that?

  801. It's not profound, right, nothing spectacular about it. Hey, Jesus

  802. saved me. He'll save you good enough. Now, that's the

  803. truth one. That's what witness is all about. That's what

  804. missions is all about. Because the prophet is never welcome

  805. in his own home. So the reason why we go

  806. for missions is because you see the people around them,

  807. but they don't want to listen. They want somebody from

  808. outside to come and tell them exactly the same thing

  809. these people told them. But because the people come from outside, yes,

  810. I will believe. Isn't it true? Hey, My brothers didn't

  811. come to the Law because I was sharing with them.

  812. They came to Lord because somebody from the outside shared

  813. with them. Isn't it weird? But that's just the way

  814. it is. Not So please missions man. It's not that

  815. you only go for missions during this time. Missions Man

  816. is an emphasisman where we try and we will share

  817. with you about missions, why it's important to go. And

  818. if you get the opportunity to go, go man. You

  819. don't need to worry about what to say, because the

  820. Bible says, in that very hour, God will give you

  821. what to say. In that very hour, He will tell

  822. you what to do. You don't need to tell somebody

  823. else's story. Tell your stories. Just tell your stories. Tell

  824. what you've seen Him say and do for you, and

  825. that's all the Holy Spirit will convict. And I'll end

  826. with this John twelve thirty two. And if I am

  827. lifted up from the earth, will draw all people's unto myself.

  828. You see, when you are talking about Jesus, what are

  829. you doing. You're lifting up his name. You lift up

  830. his name because you're sharing with someone about the law

  831. of lords in the King of Kings, and because of that,

  832. he will help you reach out and people will get saved.

  833. Praise the Lord, and with that that's the end of

  834. the world. I hope it blessed you as much as

  835. it bless me to share it with you. God is true,

  836. God is true to his word, and he will do it.

  837. Praise the Lord.
