Obedience | Pr Yvonne Chong

We hope this message will light up your day.

The title my message should be following God's lead, a

path to purpose and blessing. And that this actually came

about from our missions conference that happened not too long ago.

How many of you were there for our missions conference?

Yeah?

And and during our from missions conference, you know pasta Parlors.

It's a surias life. I think that's a photo of

the mission's conference. We have our missions conference every year.

Uh and and you know missions conference. This year we

managed to hear you know, an amazing two amazing missionaries

that ex Church is also supporting.

Uh.

They I got to know them, you know when they

were still past us. Uh No, only only pasta plan

when you're still a pastor back in pen Nang That's

where I'm from. Okay, how many pen Nang night is here? Okay?

Uh So I knew him and he was still pastoring

our GBC Reservoir Garden Baptist Church. Uh And and so

then after that got called them into the missions field

to surfing full time. And they went over the nepower

and they've been there for long until to a point out.

They can actually speak the local language there.

Uh.

They have planted a lot of churches there. So I

raised up a lot of local pastors there. So and

from their sharing, you know, I caught something which is

the main thing that I caught was actually submission and

obedience to where God wants us to go and and

and my message today is actually right around that lot.

I just gave a longer title, but the theme of

it is what is submission and obedience to the lot?

And you know, going out from their life. And the

next couple which I was really inspired by is both

Gerd and Dorris. I have a pig of them also,

and girl and Dorries. If you didn't know yet, there

are church plant coordinators for ex Germany and another Trivia

as well. They are our oldest church planters. Their grandparents already. Okay,

they have a lot of grand kids. Uh. And and

closes about seventy and they told God, you know, we're

not gonna stop serving you. Uh, there's no retirement in

God rights always say, you know, there's no retirement, but

retirement and and and you know at that age she

will still say, you know, God, I want to plan

a church for you here. Uh, and and so ex

Germany started because of them just being obedient to what

God wants to do in Germany. And and and and

do continue to keep them in prayer.

Uh.

And you know sometimes I feel like, oh God, church again.

Uh.

You know, planting a church in all, leading a church,

anchoring a church, it is not easy.

Uh.

And and you know, and you know, I've encountered a

lot of amazing people, all different shapes and sizes, different colors,

different characters, colors as in you know, characters. I equate

characteristics to colors, beautiful colors.

Uh.

And sometimes it's a huge challenge as well. You know,

you go all in, you sew and then after that

a person like bye bye, I don't care, and then

you'll be like, oh painiful God. You know, I do

so again, and especially you know, doing Sney Live as well.

I was there part of the pioneering team of XNY Life.

So it has been sixteen years. So actually that our

demographics we have mainly campus students, university and college. So

people come and go every two two years.

Uh.

You know, you go all in and then you know,

they graduate and leave and then you have to start again.

And so it has been I've lost count how many

rounds of students that we have graduated already.

Uh.

And sometimes you know, I would look back at all

these heroes of faith, not just from the word of God,

but for those who have gotten here as a bassandra,

I always get really inspired by them. You know, nothing

actually stops them from going all the way for the

lot and for his people and for his church. Likewise,

all for good and dories. You know, I'm like, okay,

you should just retire nicely, play your grandchildren, you know,

grew you know, raise them up. But they didn't do

that and doing this, so we got to know them

because they were living in Malaysia for a while. God

was working here with Roya Slango as a put Uh.

They it's yeah, Malaysia's famous for our teen mines and stuff,

so and and and he designs he makes customized rings

as well. So when they were here, Dorris was also

working in a she's a nurse, she's a really qualified trainers.

She works with a refugee center, but I think she

visits hospitals as well. So she found a baby that

was abandoned by the mother. So the mother, not a local,

gave birth and then ran away in the hospital, so

the hospital cannot try. The mother left the baby behind.

The baby came out with a lot of deformities because

when the lady was pregnant, so it's actually in our

government hospital. So the lady tried to abort the child

because economically she cannot afford so she did a lot

of different things in a lot of different things, so

it actually affected the child, so the child couldn't be aborted.

But so she managed to deliver a child, but came

out with a lot of deformities. But both God and

Dories love the boy, the baby race it up to

the bestest ability and they try to relook, so try

to look for a permanent family. And finally, you know,

they found a family I think in Canada. Yeah, in

Canada for this world to relocate because he does not

have any documents. So he managed to go there safely,

but it wasn't easy for them. And and you know,

whenever I see their life and like God, you know, uh,

when I grow oh, I want to be like them,

you know, just going all the way, loving God and

loving people. So today you know, I you know, I say,

you know, I'm going to talk about the what obedience

is all about. And I'm going to bring us back

to the Bible, Okay, to the very core of it,

and the foundation of obedience, uh is actually rooted in

the proper understanding of who God is. And and sometimes

you know, to us, obedience can mean a lot of

different things, or can imply a lot of different things,

and sometimes it may also bring a negative implication or

negative meaning to us. But today, let's see what the

word of God says. Okay, Uh, and I always like

and don't understand obedient. We don't understand God's character and

what he says because he is our creator, right, He's

the sustainer of all things. And knowing that you know,

as his creation, how do we then respond to him?

All right? So Isaiah, let's turn to Isaiah chapter fifty five,

verse eight to nine, and we have to mic rite. Okay, cool,

I shall start with the people from the back, Okay,

the last show. You can start reading Isaiah chapter fifty five,

verse eight to nine. You can take one verse each, okay.

So Isaiah chapter thirty five, verse eight. Tonight, okay, take

verse eight, then again past to the next person verse nine. Okay,

thank you. Yes, Isaiah fifty five, verse eight. For my

thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways.

Say it's the Lord verse nine.

As high as the heavens are above the earth, so

high are my ways and goods above yours.

Amen. So as you read these you can see that

God's commands his comments are always his expression of his

wisdom and love for us. So obedience, therefore, it is

not a legalistic duty from us, but it's our trust

in God's wisdom and a total surrender to his authority. Okay.

So our obedience acknowledges that god sways our superior to ours,

and his will is always for our ultimate good. Okay.

So one of the most difficult trouble tension, our problem

that happens is between between us and God. Okay. Uh

is his sovereignty, who is he? He is? Uh? And

our responsibility because you know that the world has thought us, okay,

about us having our own freedom, our rights as human beings.

So sometimes that clashes with how we also view God,

how we surrendered to him. How it's a made to

hit We all know as believers that God, ultimately, at

the end of the day, he is the ultimate authority.

Here's the final say. But yet the the amazing thing.

But yeah, you know who is his character. With all

the authority that has he has still given us the

freedom of choice, right, He still allows us to choose

whether we want to commit our lives to him or

whether you know, we don't want to be with him

as well. So he has given that hasard. So you know,

there's always that conflict that goes on. And but the

word of God, you know, it teaches us that no

matter what is, God is still in control. He is

still sovereign, like it or not, how we respond to him,

He's still consistently the same. Okay, So detererono me Chapter thirty.

Let's see what I say say Deuteronomy, chapter thirty, Verse

nineteen to twenty. Anyone can here can read it.

Yeah, teteromya Verse nineteen. I call heaven and as witnesses

today against you that I have said before you life

and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life that both

you and your descendants may live. Next verse Yeah, you

can pass it over.

Yeah that's you twenty, is it? Yes? Verse twenty.

Choose life that you and your offspring may live, loving

the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast

to him.

So thank you so much for reading. So as you

look at these two verses, God offers us a choice,

but he also clearly lay out the path to blessing

as we continue to obey and submit to His work.

All right, and we see here you all verse year,

that all choose life, that you and your offspring offspring

may live, and your offspring and your descendants to come

as or may leave, not leave just having breath, but

leaving and having life to the followers as well. Okay.

So this is the theological foundation of obedience. And what

we're gonna look at right now is what the Old

Testament says about obedience. Okay, the perspective from the Old Testament,

and then we're gonna look at a new Testament later. Okay.

So Old Testament. I like to draw from the life

of Noah. Okay, And let's see in Genesis chapter six,

verse twenty two, how did Noah obeyed the lot? Let's

see what he did Genesis chapter six, verse twenty two.

Genesis verse chapter six, verse twenty two says Noah did

everything just as God commanded him.

Wow, such a short sentence on obedience. Uh, No, Noah

did just as God commanded him. And what did he do?

He did everything. He didn't leave everything out, anything out,

but he did everything. And those of you who do

not know the life and story of Noah. God commanded

him to build an aark because God was going to

bring a great flood to destroy the earth because at

a part of times, society and morality was just going

down the drain, and God needed to wipe out because

that's the consequence of sin. All right, they were living

in sin uh and a part of time in all God,

all God could do was to like it's like pressing

a reset button right uh. And and and to cause

a resept so that mankind uh could live according to

his word again. So that happened. And and and now

the amazing saving grace for us is there is a

lot Jesus okay, so and and and because of what

he did on the cross, Uh, you know, we don't

have to die because of our God didn't have to

wipe out the whole earth again. So basically that that

was what happened. And imagine, you know, God reveals to Noah,

and imagine your Noah, and you have the knowledge that

God is going to do this, And God asked you

to build it. And a part of the time when

the ark was supposed to build, there was drought. Okay,

there wasn't any rain. So in any logical my number one,

and God is telling me that he's gonna wipe out

the whole earth. He's gonna cause a flirt. Number two, Uh,

there won't be any rain. There hasn't been any rain

so logically, so noah, I'm sure, like what what's going on?

Uh?

And the third one is when he started building the art,

the people around him thought he was crazy. Uh. And

and you know, sometimes when God ask us to do

something right, uh, it doesn't make sense to everyone else

that's around us. Uh. And sometimes you feel like okay, uh,

sometimes your identity is shaken and confidence is shaken because

of that, like okay, everyone is ridiculing me. Uh.

You know.

For example, And and when I first answered the call

uh to work full time h in a y a

slash ex church office, right, a lot of people didn't understand.

And and and one of it will be my family,

So I mean they are believers. They wou't understand because

I did my degree in accounting and finance and when

I wanted so upon graduation, and I knew that God

wanted me to really set myself aside to serve him

full time, in a full time capacity. And when you're okay,

your markup place, you can still serve him. But this

is what God wants me to do.

Uh.

It doesn't mean that, Okay, you're working outside the church,

you're not serving him. Because everything that we do, even

in your studies, it is a worship unto him. We

are serving him to that. So hence you know God

still requires us to give our best in that also,

so for myself. That that's the first thing. The second was, uh,

I was just earning one thousand and three a month. Uh,

that's a little crazy madness thing that people don't understand.

The third one is before I started working, when I

was a student. Actually like that. Our church plan didn't

start officially, but we started homes already, so I was

already sowing to that and traveling to nearby and back.

It's not cheap. Uh, it's not cheap. And at that

point of time when I was doing that or still

driving my grandpa's car is a car that was made

in nineteen eight the tree, and that was sixteen years ago.

So you can do your math car. I was probably

about twenty four years old when I was driving it

to and fro. No power steering manual, but I did

that so a lot of people. It didn't make sense

in the eyes of human beings. And what happened was

so I pioneered the homes together a few other leaders

in Ely and at the same time I was still

part of the Subunk Homes. And then along the way

Umpunk homes came about before x Umbunk started, and I

held pioneer the homes in Umpun also, So in a

week I was attending three homes in three different church

plus locations. It was crazy homes in Umbunk, Okay, thank God,

it was small at that time part time plus people

need live. We were sixty to seventy people for homes

are so we don't do that right now because whenever

we hit twelve people will multiplying. Thank God, uh managing

sixty people in the homes and apparent time it was crazy.

It was crazy uh su Bug homes was around that

number of people and so uh So I didn't know

how I did it, but I knew it because I

had surrendered to God. He and a Bola and I

was still a student at that time. I needed to

still study, So I was juggling a lot, a lot

of things in one goal. So it didn't make sense.

But I just knew that because God has commanded me,

I needed to do it.

Uh.

And then God's gonna take care of the wrestler. You know,

there's this expression, I say that God ordered the food,

he will pay the bill, right, he will settle the bill. Uh.

And and you know, always because of our relationship, I

got you say, I gotta do what you got im Okay,

you settle everything. Uh Uh And he did. You know,

he has never never failed to show up whenever there

was in need. And X when x NELI our service

started in twenty ten. Uh we started. So when we

started the homes that I was leading and part of,

we grew to about ninety over people one homes. Rest

like a lot of people here. Probably you have about

fifty other people here today, sixty over Uh. Imagine ninety

people in uh. We squeezed ninety people for homes in

an eight hundred over square feet flat. It wasn't an apartment.

It was a flat, small three rooms. We have every

time we have homes, we have people standing outside the door.

And we have like just our flat Assol Church rented

a neli Haut was a small little flat in this

Albama those of you who know, and people had to

stay and in the corridor just worshiping God and having homes.

Uh.

So that that was the time. But God honored the sacrifice.

I'm not I'm not to say it was only me

because it was a team of us uh and the

team of us that so none of us were in

theeline one. We're not local thelions. We all traveled in.

But God caused the work to grow. And it started

out just with a seat of faith. And the seat

of faith was God, you commanded I would just obey,

and here's everything that I have and and and and

later only know the deseminly out of it for myself

even as I obeyed was you know, God provided He

softened the hearts of my parents. They said like, okay,

you know, whatever you need, we're just support uh you

as much as you can financially. Because when now studying,

I took up bitpt and loan so because they couldn't

afford my fees for me, so they say that we'll

just support That's the one thing and many many years later,

after doing my life for sixteen years, I said, I said,

you know, I just wanted to testify as all God

has been taking care of the different needs I have

and and recently you know nothing that I didn't expect

it as this at all at all. Uh. You know

I inherited. Uh it's from an uncle who passed away already,

but I didn't I didn't really fully know him personally,

but he left behind some inheritance little very little. He's

from the B forty group. But whatever he has, he gives.

So you know, he has given me a car, so

I have another car to drive now first a lot

and the car I drive it, I guess it's a

my Vesol. It's very very few efficient as compared to

the Elsa I'm driving.

Uh.

And it helps me save money so that I can

give back further uh into you know, the world of God.

Uh.

And yeah, I say a lot of patrol now trying

to and fro with the MAIV and and and and

and some a bit of money from his EPF and

stuff like that. But uh, that is like after sixteen

years and along the way, you know, I do count

my blessings as well. I think this is a blessing

that I totally never expect it. And and so I

you know, I'm not saying that when we obey we

should expect something in return from God. We obey the

Lord when we go all in for the Lord, and

when we give everything that we have under the Lord God,

that's not short changes. So that's his nature. But we

cannot expect like God, Okay, I need something. I do

this for you. I'm asking for something and God is

not that kind of transactional God. Okay. So Noah I

saw when he obeyed. He did not say God, I'm

gonna build the ark uh, and this is what I

want you to do for me. He just did it everything.

Everyone thought he was crazy, but he did it anyway.

H And I don't know what areas in your life.

God is challenging you and it may seem ridiculous to you,

as ridiculous as ha. You know serving God wants you to

start serving in church right like how early are you

here normally on Sunday to set up at seven? That

might be ridiculous. A lot people are like, well seven

am on a Sunday, going early to set up and

church may be ridiculous, but God could be tanging or

heart you know, as you heard about announcement for volunteers

in our dream things. Why not try Yeah, let's go,

just go all in, you know, try go all in

and see how God works in your life. All right,

I'm gonna go into the life of Moses. Deuterundo me

chapter five, verse the treat. Get someone read it.

To Ronald to chapter five, verse the retreat. Stay on

the path that the Lord your God has commanded you

to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives

in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

Amen, you shall live long. Okay, stay on the path

that God has commanded you. Again. You let me live

long and everything may go well with you, and then

you shall enter, you know, the promised land and possess it. Uh.

That was God's promise to Moses. So Moses his duty,

his role was to lead the issue likes out of

slavery right out of Egypt. He rescued them, and then

God gave him asself the Ten commandments, Uh, for the

whole of the issue likes.

Right.

God gave Moses the ten commandments so he can actually

pass it on to the people, and lot of people

may see you all the ten commandments as rules. You

shall not murder, you shall not cover your neighbor's wife,

and the least goes on. Right, But did you know

that the ten commanments was designed to guide God's chosen

people to life? All right? And it still applies to

us now.

You know.

It's not a set of ten rules, ten prohibitions. But

let's see it as a ten instruction on how we

can actually leave a relationship that is right with the Lord.

And if we say God, I love you, then we

would say that God, I love your words, no matter

whether it makes sense or not, whether the commandment makes

sense or not. To you, at this point of time,

you're saying that God, because I love you, I would

want to leave what your word says. Okay, so, and

that was what God gave to the issue lies. However,

we know right along the way, they still wanted to

disaibey God. They still wanted to do things that way.

They complain Ah two thousand years ago and still now

you know, still the same human characters, still the same.

You know, whenever we go through something, we complain and

complain and complain and blame God, and they usualized blame

Moses as well. It's like, why do you bring us

out of Egypt for us to die in the desert?

Send us back, We'd rather be slaves. Ridiculous, right, But

God allowed them to encounter him, although it was forty

years walking around the desert. But at the end they

some of them managed to enter the Promised Land as well,

because that few that entered the Promised Land, they entered

it because they were still submitted and obedient to the Lord.

All right, So the consequent of obedience right in the

Old Testament, I'm just gonna read to us. You can

turn the deuter around me, chapter twenty eight, verse one

to two. And if you live faithfully obey the voice

of the Lord your God, being careful to do all

his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your

God will set you high above all the nations of

the earth, and all these blessings shall come upon you

and overtake you. If you'll obey the voice of the

Lord your God today. When me paraphrasing this, when we

obey the Lord, when we obey God's voice, he promotes us.

And paraphrasing that m promotion comes from the Lord right,

not from any favor from men. God promotes us and

the consequence of this obedience according to the Old Testament.

Let's see. Let's see that from deuter around Me, chapter

twenty eight, verse fifteen.

Hm.

It's easier, but it shall come to pass. If you

do not obey the voice of the Lord your God,

to observe carefully all his commandments and all his statutes,

which I command you today, then all these curses will

come upon you and overtake you. So to read the

full contexts. To know the full context do read Deuteronomy

chapter twenty eight. Okay, at the own time, and all

these curses is no fun to do to live in

all right. Let's and sometimes you feel like, why am

I going around and around around and circles? Why is

it any freedom? You know, God, I thought things are

better than How come going back to the original place again?

Why why every time I think that you know that's

already a fruit, there is already a true and that

it gets stolen away very easily.

Uh.

Probably you know the areas in our life that is

to be checked. Okay, I'm just saying that, but it

may not entirely be that. So it could just sometimes

be consequences of our own foolishness and actions. Okay. So

on the other hand, you know, uh, you know, you

can see here curse, the curse itself is not just

a curse, but it's also an eternal separation we've got

from God. Okay. Uh. The covenant that God met with

the issue lives, right, ah, gave them an eternal relationship

with him. But because of that, this obedience is separated

them from him. All right. So let's look at what

the New Testament has to say, okay about obedience. Uh.

And and the greatest, greatest example of all time is

the life of Jesus. So let's look at John chapter six. First,

study it. Can some the next person reading John chapter six,

verse study it.

John chapter six, verse thirty eight. Before I have come

down from heaven not to do my will, but to

do the will of him who sent me.

Yeah. So the ultimate example of obedience is from the

life of Jesus. And even as he is as well,

he continued to sort the Lord his father, all right,

his father's will and and not his own. And this

ultimate demonstration was him submitting to the will of God

and what God wanted him to do. His mission was

to dine across for mankind. So that was his ultimate mission.

And and by Jesus submitting to what God he wanted

to do, right, it's not just an act of obedience,

but it's an act of humility as well, because Jesus,

by very every right, uh, he would have found ways

to save himself from being humilated in public. Uh, for

being cursed on from being whipped.

Uh.

It was a very painful death. Okay, if an watch

the passion of Christ to give you a clearer picture,

was a very very painful death. But like a land

to slaughter, he fully submitted and humbled himself to the

point of death. That's what Philippines two verse eight says, Right,

Jesus humbered himself by becoming obedient to the point of death,

even on the cross. Uh. And you know, you know,

Jesus can just command if he can tell the winds

and the waves to stop, just at one word he spoke, right,

he could have commanded the whole heaven of angels right

to come down and rescue him. Right, But he didn't.

He summit that because he knew the will of the

Father for him, the will of the one who sent

him for us as all. How do we then relate

this to our lives? Do we recognize that you know,

God has sent us uh to where we are at?

We are not, for example, in our students or Nothingham.

We are not in Nottingham University studying by coincidents. God

has willed and purpose for you to be there. You

have been sent there, especially as believers, like as Christians,

we believe there's no coincidence. Or where you work, the

family that you're born into is not consistence as well? Uh,

you know the daman, the community, the neighborhood that God

has given you, it is not coincidence. God has placed

you there so that you can ask of His will. God,

you have placed me here? What do you want me

to do here? God? I have four years or two

years in the crazy PhD program that I have to

do almost getting my hate D made sure ready? But God,

what is your will for me here? What can I

do for you here? That is very right now for

Christians to ask God what is my what is your

will here for me? A lot of times like yay,

you know God, I have an amazing job, Thank you

for an amazing pay hallelujah full stop. But you know,

you have to ask God, God, what is your will

for me here? You know, Derek, you know, would have

first Derek. Derek would have worked comfortably in Benang and

enjoying all the Banang food and the comfort of his house.

But he took that set of faith vibing here, giving

up a really good job offer in Penang because he

knows that God's will is for him to be here,

to so into your lives, to continue to see exe

Maney growing, to see the community in so many read

for his glory. I managed to speak to him yesterday

and I'm like, wow, I didn't know that was your

journey really inspiring? And and to the point of submission,

you know can and and I'm sure he can only

make that decision because he sought the lot. He seeks

the lot. He asked of the lot, God, what do

you want me to do? What is your calling? What

is your plan for me? And I want to submit

to that, okay, Because a lot of you know, graduates,

especially a lot of times, we hear a lot of stories,

you know, saying like, wow, you know, God, you have

provided me with an amazing paying job. But we really

hear people saying that I gave us the amazing paying

job because this is what God wants me to do instead.

So uh yeah, Derek, that is him. He was like,

are you talking about me? Okay? So that's Derek.

Uh.

And and and you know, let's move on, okay, just

let's talk about this obedience.

Uh.

And gonna give us some scriptures and can go back

and and and read it. And and one of the

key things when Jesus talked about obedience is obedience is

closely linked to true discipleship.

Uh.

You know, it's the trick mark of discipleship. Okay.

Uh.

One of very clear sermons he gave us the Sermon

on the Mouth, and he stressed that obedience is more

than eternal conformity, is more than just conforming to the

world of God, you know, obeying the word of God.

But it involves internal transformation as well. Why do why

does God want us to obey his word? Obey him

because it would changes from the inside out, because human

nature will always cause us to go against God uh

and and do things on our own. But what God

one us to do and experience is the transformation of

our heart. Let's look at probably just show us a

verse or two Matthew chapter seven, verse twenty one. It's

says not everyone who says to me, Lord Lord will

entered the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does

the will of my Father, who is in heaven, Jesus.

You can see here, right, the contrast of just shallow

religious practices with genuine obedience to the Lord's will. So

it is not enough for us. It all for us Christians,

you all there will be known as Christians to claim

our loyalty to God, to the Excellent my God, God,

I know you. You know, I know your word. The devil

knows it's God's word as well. Very well. Right, Uh,

it is not enough to just claim it. But God

wants more and his He wants our obedience because our

obedience is the true evidence of our faith in Him. Okay,

So I'm going to move on and for a new Testament. Okay.

When we say that, you know, when obedience, you know,

God treats us. Okay, I will see that as a chreat. Okay,

it comes with spiritual blessing. John chapter fourteen. You know

the first point spiritual bressing. John chapter fourteen, verse tn

a tree. He says, if anyone loves me, he will

keep my word, and my father will love him, and

we will come to him and make our home with him.

The greatest blessing that we can receive from the Lord

is an intimacy with him, to say, you know, forgot

to acknowledge, this is my child, and I want to

make our home. You know, the Father's son and Holy

Spirit wants to make their home with us, to live

in us. That's the greatest blessing of obedience, is our

intimacy him. Uh. And and second one would be you

know it comes. I see this as a part okay,

material and physical blessing Luke chapter six, verse thirty eight.

Uh.

And we always also hear this verse during doing offering.

Right when we give our offerings unto the Lord, give

and it will be given to you good measure, pressed out,

shaken together and running over will be put into your leg.

For with the same measure you use, it will be

measured back to you.

Uh.

You know, like I said, you know, I gave everything

serving any life and subang and umbug for a point

of time, and I didn't expect I wouldn't know that.

You know, God will bless me with a car an

extra cannel and never I think in the eyes of

the world, were people always think like full time workers,

you know, we wouldn't have enough. But I would say,

you know, anyone in the office, Uh, in our office,

everyone enough. And the material blessing is I always find God. Okay,

thank you for this bonus. Uh, you know this is

extra bonus that you have given. Okay. Third blessing is

peace and fulfillment. It's not sorry, it's not from the

New Testament, but it's from the Old Testament. But I

would like to draw that out Isaiah chapter for the

eighth verse eighteen, They says, say, oh, that you have

paid attention to my commandments, then your peace will have

been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves

of the sea. Obedience brings about a deep sense of

peace and fulfillment because it aligns us with God's purpose

in our life. When we obey, we're living according to

God's design, which brings a sense of contentment in our lives.

So sometimes, right, you're like, hey, why is that? Why

Why do I always feel avoid Why do I always

want more and more and more? Or pro we find

peace with God and find the fulfill men in God?

And how do you do that? To obey his commandments. Okay.

Consequences of this obedience and close really really soon. Consequences

of this obedience. One is separation from God. Yeah, the

verses there is there. You can take it down, take

a picture. It's not why I say, okay, the word

of God. Second consequence of disobedience is judgment and discipline. Okay,

he brushed child. Verse six, he says, he for the

lot discipline the one he loves and chastises every son

whom he receives. God would discipline those who disobey him

as well. All right. So that's the consequences of this obedience. Uh,

and do know right, it doesn't mean when we obeyed

the lot it would earn us salvation as well. Like

I said, you know, God is not a transactional God,

and we are safe not by grace, sorry, by grace,

not by works. Okay. Ificients Chapter two, verse eight to

night say say, for by grace you have been safe

through faith. And this is not of your own doing.

It is the gift of God, not a result of

our works, so that no one can boast. So for

us Christians, it does not mean okay, when I share

about obedience, then like Okay, I obey, then you know

I'll be safe. Not it's not by our works. We

can't earn by God's you know, God's eternity in our life.

We can't salvation to just trying our very best to

do everything that we can. It is still a grace

that God has given to us.
